The Walking Dead
Rick says it’s been a while since they had a talk. He does most of the talking anyway. He’ll keep it short. We don’t see who he’s talking to, but my guess is Negan.
Today is day 35. Things are taking shape. Not that long ago, they were fighting just to stay alive. It’s not like that anymore. They’re building and growing. They’re ready to deal with world on its own terms, but not letting it define them. They’re getting back a piece of how it used to be; how things were before this. it’s all happening. They’re not just fighting to survive anymore. They’re making a new beginning. Rick looks out from a platform over the new world.
Ezekiel says Henry should be proud. Someday, he’s going to cross the bridge with his grandchildren, and tell them how he built it. Henry thinks that would be a boring story, but Ezekiel says, it’s the lifeblood of civilization. Without it, there would be no trade. The structure connects them all. Be proud. He tells Henry to be ready in an hour; he’s going home. Carol gives Henry his pokey stick. She thinks he’s taller. Ezekiel says he’ll be in college before they know it. He’d stay to drive in the last nail if Henry didn’t have school. Carol says she’ll be heading back after. Ezekiel tells her, fairy tales and heroes live forever, but in this world, it’s about finding small moments. It’s just good-by for now; he’s not giving up on fairy tales.
Eugene tells Rick that with the spring rains, they have six to nine days before the dam overflows, but he thinks they can beat it. Rick says he’ll talk to the foreman. Rosita thinks should push along the blasting. Rick asks Eugene about runoffs, and he says they’ve been down in the last six in past months Zzzz… and that doesn’t stand for zombies.
At the infirmary tent, Siddiq tells Cyndie she’s lucky her wound didn’t get infected. Tara says she’s ready to take on anything. Rick tells Eugene that there’s a bug going around. Eugene tells him that Alexandria is slim on supplies, and it’s getting slimmer by the day.
Michonne rides into Hilltop. She tells Maggie that the Sanctuary didn’t get the supplies. Maybe the delivery guys were taken out or went AWOL. She’s hoping Maggie can tide them over. Jesus thinks they can do it, but Maggie is hesitant. Until they get fuel for the tractor, their yield will be short. Michonne asks what about the plow from museum, but Maggie doesn’t have what she needs to fix it. Michonne asks how long Earl is going to be locked up, but Maggie hasn’t decided. Michonne says that’s why they need to start talking rules, so there isn’t another situation like with Gregory. Maggie asks if Michonne thinks she should have let Earl walk. Michonne says, no. She hates what he did to Maggie and Enid, but if keeping him locked up means crops aren’t planted, it’ a problem. Maggie says they’ll be fine, but until the ethanol shows up, she can’t plant. She offers for Michonne to spend the night. Michonne takes her up on it, and Jesus says he’ll get her set up.
Ricks’ crew works on the bridge. Aaron tells Daryl about an exploding diaper, and Daryl says, good times… Aaron thinks Daryl will be a great dad, and Daryl laughs. Henry gives out water. Savior Justin takes a cup and wants more. When Henry won’t give it to him, Justin pushes Henry down, and takes it. Andy uses the side of his pokey stick to knock Justin down. Another Savior tells Justin that he had his ass handed to him by a kid too – although he was six at the time. Daryl tells Justin, the kid was just doing his job. Get back to work. Justin says, don’t tell him what to do, and Daryl punches him. He throws sand in Daryl’s face, and they start to scuffle.
Eugene is telling Rick about his scheme to turn expired food stuffs into gazpacho, when Rick hears the fighting on the bridge. He runs over, and tells them, break it up. He gets in between Daryl and Justin, and tells them to go back to work. Daryl asks if that a-hole gets a free pass. Rick doesn’t like it either, but the bridge needs to get done. Daryl says some of the Saviors have walked off already. They’re not going to fall in line just because he says so. Carol says they never had to work together; he can’t expect them to just forget. Rick says it’s about moving ahead together. If they keep doing that, they’ll see they’re all on the same side. Daryl says, are they? Rick says, you tell me, and Daryl says he’s trying to, but Rick doesn’t want to hear it. Daryl walks away, and Carol says, it’s complicated. He’s been different since Gregory, maybe before. Rick wants her to talk to him, and she says, and say what? Rick says she gets what he’s trying to do. She says he’s doing the right thing, but for some aren’t ready for it. He tosses A Key to the Future on the table.
Michonne hears talking outside. Jesus is telling Tammy, not today. She asks, when? She deserves an answer. Since her husband has been locked up, no one talks to her. She doesn’t have much, but she still has rights, and they can’t take those away. Jesus says Earl tried to kill Maggie. Give her time to figure it out. Tammy says, tell Maggie that she’s not moving until she’s allowed in there. She has no place else to be.
Michonne tells Jesus that Maggie should talk to Tammy about it. Jesus says she’ll do what she wants. Maggie asks what he thinks, but he says it’s not his call. Michonne asks if he agrees. He doesn’t know if the hanging was for everyone, Maggie, or both. He’s not against Tammy seeing her husband. Michonne tells him to talk to her; Maggie trusts him. He trusts her, but no one is right all the time. Michonne says that’s why they need to build something bigger than all of them.
Anne does a sketch, while Gabriel dictates the features. He says she’s talented, coming from a half-blind art critic. She says she likes doing it; it’s intimate, and makes her feel like one of them. He says she is, and she says, thanks to him, Rick, and Morgan. They reached out. He says the others will come around. No one trusted him at first either. Anne says they had good reason not to trust her, and Gabriel says, him too. Rick reached out; he’s good like that. Anne says, he’s not the only one, and takes his hand. He says that’s his job; being there.
Maggie tells Jesus they can move the school trailer until the heat wave is over. Eww! Imagine all those dead during a Georgia heat wave. No thanks. Jesus says he’s been thinking about how much she’s done for them. He wonders if she’s thinking about joining Oceanside. She doesn’t think they’ll get tired of asking, but she’s busy building a future there. He says Tammy is asking to see Earl; he’s been there over a month. Maggie asks if Jesus thinks she’s unfair. He thinks some decisions are too big for one person. That’s why they have laws. Michonne isn’t wrong. She’s a good person, and good people disagree.
Maggie takes Tammy to Earl’s cell. Tammy tells Earl that she’s been trying to see him every day. He says he’s okay; they’re treating him fair; more than he deserves. He was twenty years sober, and brought shame on himself. She says he made a mistake, and lost himself, but he came back. She forgives him. it’s not her forgiveness he needs though. He misses their son.
Enid blows something up. Decrepit zombies trundle through the woods toward the sound.
Maggie approaches Earl’s cell. She never thought when he helped her build them, he’d be the first person in one. She asks him to tell her about the drinking. How did he get there? He says he started drinking after he quit smoking. He was always a bad drunk. He was drunk the day Ken was born. He can’t remember the first time he saw he saw him. He joined AA when Ken was two. They were barely making ends meet, and the stress got to him. On the way to pick Ken up, he saw the sign for McDuffy’s. The sitter could smell the whiskey on him, and tried to grab his keys. He put his son in the truck, and the next thing he remembers is being pulled off the road. Tammy was there; he guesses the sitter called and told her that he was drunk. She took him home, and he thought she’d be gone, but she stuck around. She said he was sick, and swore they’d stay together no matter what. He never took drink after that. He wasn’t even tempted until… Maggie knows the rest. She thanks him, and starts to go. He asks why she hanged Gregory, but not him. He was drunk and weak, but what he did was in him. Gregory didn’t make him do anything. Maggie asks if he thinks she made a mistake? He says, no, and she says, good, and leaves.
Enid watches from a cherry picker, and radios Rick on the bridge. She tells him they’re on schedule, and Rick says, okay,let’s do this. Enid tells Jerry, crank it up, and he starts up a crank siren. A Savior whose name I don’t remember tells Rick that the Saviors making the supply delivery never got there. The people at the Sanctuary are getting worried. They want guns. Rick says they were disarmed for a reason. The Savior says they’re scared. Rick says he’ll protect them. The Savior says, if they work for him, they’ll protect him; who does that sound like? Jerry can’t get the alarm to work a second time. Enid radios Rick that it’s not going off. If the zombies aren’t diverted, they’re going to run right into his crew.
The horses start to get antsy. Daryl senses trouble. Zombie start coming. Daryl does a ballet move, and spears a couple of them in the head, but a zombie crowd forms quickly. He thinks they should get the hell out, but logs tumble down from a pile, and Aaron gets pinned. Daryl tries moving the log from on top of Aaron, but the zombies are getting closer. Aaron tells him to go. Daryl kills a few more, and gets someone’s attention to help get the log off of Aaron’s arm, which is pretty messed up. He pulls Aaron up from the ground, and they try to jet, but aren’t fast enough. A zombie grabs Daryl’s shoulder, but Rick and his crew arrive, slicing, dicing, and shooting arrows, Carol and Ezekiel join them. Rick shoots the rest of the logs, and they slam into the zombies. I laugh because it’s a little Three Stooges looking.
In the infirmary tent, Enid tells Aaron the bad news. Amputation and cauterization are the only way to stop the bleeding. Aaron is like, wait a minute, as we all would be. Daryl says, sorry, and ties off Aaron’s arm. Enid tells Daryl to hold him, and reads the instructions from a book. Aaron says, do it, and she does. He screams.
In one of the tents, Carol tells Justin that she doesn’t give a sh*t. Daryl says he was supposed to turn the herd. Justin says the walkie wasn’t charged. Daryl says, it’s solar, and he didn’t check? Justin says it’s not his fault the radio is sh*t. Daryl lunges at him, but Carol tells him to stop; he’s out of control. Some of the kids stand there watching. Carol says, don’t deal with him like this, but Daryl says, it’s the only way to deal with these a-holes.
Michonne visits Maggie. She says Maggie has done something amazing with this place. Maggie says she knows what Michonne came to do. She’s thought about it; talking about common law, but she’s not giving up the right to do what she thinks is best. Michonne says, what’s best for everyone? Maggie says, what’s best for Hilltop, and Michonne says, neither will they. Maggie asks Jesus to load up the food like she promised. She tells Michonne that Earl till owes a debt. He can pay it by working under supervision. She’s going to get the plow fixed, and the field planted. Michonne asks, what changed? Maggie says her daddy drank. He was a good man, and if he hadn’t gotten a second chance, a lot of people would have been worse off. Michonne counts herself as one of them. Maggie says, but Gregory had chance after chance, and he wasted them. She doesn’t regret what she did. Some people can be redeemed; others can’t. Michonne asks, who makes that decision? and Maggie guesses it’s one of the things they have to figure out.
Justin tells Rick to keep his dog on a leash, referring to Daryl. He tried to kill him over nothing. Rick says he knows Justin. He used to be a cop. Every Saturday night, he’d pick up a dipsh*t like him, trying to blame someone else for their own damn problems. Justin says he doesn’t have to listen, but Rick says he does. Rick gave him the benefit of the doubt. That’s done. Pack his sh*t, and get out in the morning. If Rick sees his face again, even stitches won’t fix it. Justin says he wouldn’t stay if Rick begged him to, and he’s not waiting until morning.
Rick tells Aaron it’s going to be all right, which is easy for him to say. He would have died if the wound had gotten infected. Rick sits, and says he’s sorry. They were all supposed to be working together, and he thought they were. He knows he was pushing hard, putting the project first, and he paid the price. Aaron says it’s worth it. When the dead started to rise, he thought he was seeing the end of everything. Rick changed all that. It’s not the end of the world anymore. It’s the start of a whole new one. He’ll always be glad he was there to be a part of it.
Gabriel and Anne sit near a pong. Gabriel says those are frog mating calls. There’s a wild frog party going on. Anne says, that’s a strange thing to know, and Gabriel tells her that he grew up playing in the woods. It sounds like home. She asks if he knows the woman he had her draw. He says he doesn’t ask her secrets, and she asks if that’s who she was; a secret lover perhaps. He says it was nothing like that. She was the organist at his church. He cared for her very much, but was afraid and lost her. Anne thought he was supposed to be celibate, but he says he’s Episcopal, not Catholic. His vows don’t prohibit him from… He kisses her, and she kisses back. Wow. I didn’t see that coming. Gabriel says he’s supposed to be on watch. She says, then watch, and kisses him again.
Everyone jokes around the campfire. Carol asks Ezekiel if he’s still carrying the old ring around. She just wants to try it on for a while. He tries to get on one knee, and she tells him, no. He says he wrote a speech, and she says she’s sure he did. He can read it to her later. He puts the ring on her, and they smile at each other. Rick watches.
Rick says, it was a hard day. The hardest in a while. A man lost his arm; the project fell behind schedule; people were at each other’s throats. As bad as it was, when the day was done, they came together. Not all of them, but enough. They chose to be together. See what he’s getting at? No matter what happens, it’s human nature to come together. It’s what they do.
Negan (I was right) says, it’s a real pretty picture Rick is painting. When does he get to see it? Rick says, never. He’s going to die behind bars. He knows that. Negan says, then as a final request, why doesn’t he bring… Rick asks if he ever gets tired of acting still he’s still in charge. Negan asks, does he? Does Rick think because they had a weenie roast he has it locked? When everything goes to sh*t – and it will – make sure to come back and tell him. Rick says they’re thriving without Negan. They’re building a future, like he said. Negan asks, for who?Carl? Rick tells Negan not to speak Carl’s name. Negan says Rick’s family is gone; the same as his. The bridge isn’t the future. It’s a monument to the dead. Rick isn’t saving the world. He’s just getting it ready for Negan.
In the cherry picker, Anne hears something, and looks up. She sees a helicopter flying across the night’s sky.
Justin walks along the road in the dark, alone. He’s drinking, which probably isn’t the brightest idea. He tosses the bottle, so he’s a litterbug too. He hears something, and brings out a sword. Someone comes out of the woods who he recognizes. He says they could have gotten themselves killed… What the hell?
Next time, the future belongs to all of them, rioting starts, and Maggie and Daryl walk a road together.

💍 Tonight was the finale of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. TheCouples Tell All is their version of a reunion, where at least one cast member has to SKYPE in because they didn’t get their visa or it didn’t work out. This time, there were several, and it was probably the messiest Tell All ever. Fingers in faces, walkouts, Shaun Robinson the worst host in the world. I read there’s an internet petition to get rid of her. A sad show made even sadder. That’s not to say it wasn’t the best thing since the invention of reality TV. One couple never even made it to meeting each other, and was a no show. Darcey and Jesse went from Jesse claiming he was going to file charges, to hugging it out. Karine announced she was pregnant, and Paul asked for another DNA test. Ricky decided to stay with his ex-wife, making him look like even more of an idiot, and leaving Ximena grateful she didn’t get more involved. Angela broke up with Michael, who was on SKYPE, because he brought up their age difference once again. It was apparently once too many. She ended up taking it out on Rachel when the couples present at the studio were brought together. We also found out that Michael did not steal all of Angela’s money when she gave him her PIN, and it was a bank error, probably the biggest surprise of the season. The only disappointment was that John wasn’t there in person, since I’m sure he would have had a fistfight with someone. After taking copious notes throughout the season, I’ll be submitting my analyzation of these couples in the near future.

I rarely post on a Saturday, but this was too important. The Fearless Vampire Killers is on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) tonight at 8 pm. I don’t know if they’re going to run it again, and it’s rarely on TV. Now’s your chance. It’s a lot of fun.

General Hospital
I missed the very beginning of the show. One of my pups had a vet appointment, so I was running late. There are also a few gaps at the beginning because I had to take a call. Pesky real life got in the way of my TV life, but it was nothing the plot hinged on. I don’t think…
Valentin is glad Nina is meeting with Sasha. He hopes she finds the closure she deserves after everything Madeline put her through. Curtis tells Valentin that he never bought Madeline’s story. Valentin says he didn’t either, and Curtis says, until the test results came back. Two tests with the same results. It proved Sasha was Nina’s daughter. Valentin says now Nina just has to figure out what it means.
Nina tells Sasha that her mother left her the pendant when she died. Sasha is sorry for Nina’s loss, and Nina says she’s sorry for Sasha’s loss as well. Her mother left the pendant along with a note saying, this will mend a broken heart. She thought her mother was trying to reunite them. She’d arranged for the adoption, so it’s not outside realm of possibilities that she would have the other half. Sasha doesn’t have it, or recall ever seeing it. Nina says maybe Sasha’s mother didn’t want her to have it. If she didn’t want Sasha to know she was adopted, and Nina’s mom gave it to her, maybe she didn’t want to show it to Sasha.
Sitting outside Kelly’s, Alexis says If Sam doesn’t want to talk about Jason, it’s her prerogative, but if she does, she has their support. Molly says, every step of the way. Brad comes by with Wiley. He tells them that Wiley was being fussy, but once he was in the car, he went out like light. Alexis suggests music in the nursery. Brad thought it would keep the baby up, but Alexis says it’s just the opposite. I miss something here, and when I come back, Brad is talking about his rebellious teenage years, and how he shaved his head. They called him Mr. Clean. Molly doesn’t think Kristina will be shaving her head. Sam says Brad’s hair grew back, and he learned from his mistakes. Kristina will find her way.
At the courthouse, Michael tells Carly that Nelle will be receiving a lighter sentence in exchange for a state trial. Carly says she’ll testify on her own behalf, shed crocodile tears, and say she just made a mistake. But when she’s done, they’ll see her for the psycho she is. Michael has no doubt, but he’s not looking forward to reliving everything. Carly says the evidence is on their side, and when they win, Nelle’s reign of terror will be over. He’ll be fine. Just tell the truth, and don’t get angry. He wonders if she’s talking to him or herself, and she says, both. They don’t want the jury to see her as a victim. The real test will be when they see her. Michael says they’re going to find out together. Nelle is led in wearing orange, which is not the new black.
In the park, Aiden goes off for pretzels, while Franco and Elizabeth talk on a bench. Franco suggests that maybe Aiden is faking being sick so he can stay home with his brothers. Elizabeth thinks that could be a possibility, since they were together all summer; he misses them. Franco says it’s lonely at school. Halloween is coming up; they could have a costume party. Elizabeth says they can invite the entire class. She looks in Aiden’s backpack, and takes out an envelope. She looks inside, and says, it’s a letter from his teacher.
At Kelly’s, Valerie is having a celebratory lunch with Chase and Jordan. Chase tells Valerie she’s getting off that easy, but it’s not like she was tricked into performing at the Nurses’ Ball. Jordan says, what torture, and he says, it’s tradition. Jordan picks up the check, saying Valerie earned it. Kristina walks in, and asks, what’s up? Valerie says they insisted on a celebration for her promotion. Kristina congratulates her, and Valerie says it’s almost over, but does she want to join them? Kristina tells her that Brad is in desperate of coffee, congratulates Valerie again, and jets.
Nelle wasn’t sure Michael would come, and he says he had no choice. Carly says they were both subpoenaed. Nelle ignores her, and says it’s good to see Michael. She’d asked Kim to give him her messages and letters; why hasn’t he responded? Michael tells her that he has nothing to say. Nelle tells him he looks good. He looks at her handcuffs, and says she looks appropriate. She’s grateful to see him, and it’s a break in her routine, but she’s never alone. Her grief over their son keeps her company, but she can still dream. She dreamt they took Jonah to the park. He was asleep by the time they got back home, and the three of them were cuddling in their bed; they were watching him sleep. She woke up, and realized he wasn’t safe in his crib, and he was gone. Carly says, that’s enough. Nelle says she has to relive it, so it’s easier to know Michael does too. They’ll always be connected by the loss of their child.
Sasha says her mother is not an awful person, and Nina tells her that’s not what she’s saying. Sasha has a lot to reconcile, when something that big was kept from her. Nina understands how complex mother/daughter relationships can be. Her mother did unspeakable things to her. Sasha is sorry to hear it. She and her mother were close, and she was always encouraged to follow her dreams. She even went to Paris, for two weeks in her freshman year. It was an expensive trip, but her mother managed to swing it. Someday, she’s going back, and not staying in a youth hostel. Nina says she’s going in a few weeks for a fashion expo to represent Crimson. Sasha should go with her. Nina can introduce her to all the designers. It would be so much fun get to know each other between the fashion shows, and they could do some sightseeing. Sasha says, no. She doesn’t think it’s a good idea.
Chase tells Jordan that he’s due in court, and says he’ll see Valerie at the station, calling her partner. Jordan sees that Valerie and Chase are getting along. Valerie knows it’s only, but they’re a good fit. He’s showing her the ropes, and she’s showing him the low down on Port Charles. He’s doing okay getting around, and spends a lot of time at the gym. She tells Jordan not to worry about her crossing the lines like in the past. Jordan says she owes Valerie an apology for the way she handled things with Dante.
Curtis tells Valentin that Nina had sky high hopes. He tried to bring her down to earth, and convince her to keep her expectations low. Valentin says if anyone can get through to Nina, it’s him. Curtis says Sasha is a wild card. She gives the impression of being confident and self-assured, but refused to believe she was adopted. He had to show her the DNA test. It turned her world upside down. Valentin hopes there’s room enough for Nina, but if the worst happens, she’ll need support. Curtis says he’s got that covered. He suggests Valentin cancel any plans he has to win her back. The last thing she needs is his interference. Valentin says, absolutely.
Nina says she and Sasha could learn about each other while having a new experience. Sasha says she can’t, and Nina says if it’s a money issue, she’ll cover the expenses. Sasha says, it’s not about money. They literally just met; it seems premature. Nina says, sorry; it’s too soon. She has a penchant for going headfirst into things, and they don’t always pan out. Nina says maybe this time next year. They can go to the 2019 fashion expo. Sasha doesn’t think that’s going to happen. When the DNA results came back, she wanted to meet Nina, but that doesn’t mean she wants a relationship. She wanted closure, and after today, she has it. She already has a mother, and she’s gone, but Sasha will always think of her as her mother. Nina asks, even though she lied to Sasha her entire life?
I miss something here too, and Alexis says Wiley is already a jetsetter. This is confusing because I wonder where he’s been jet setting other than Kelly’s or the MetroCourt. Sam says it’s not like Brad is going to flee the country. Brad flashes back to Nelle telling him take her baby.
Carly says Nelle is just trying get into Michael’s head, so he chokes on the witness stand. Nelle says it has nothing so with Carly. Carly says Nelle is targeting Michael in an attempt to take her down; look at her. Nelle asks if Michael’s mother is still speaking for him. He says she doesn’t speak for him, but he has a support system. Nelle says, lucky him. He tells her the only person she has to blame for where she is, is herself. She says after everything they went through, now she’s nothing, no one to him. He says, Jonah is gone. Anything between them is gone. She is nothing to him. She says she is still something. There’s something he doesn’t know; something important she has to tell him. It’s going to change everything.
Franco asks what the letter says, and Elizabeth hands it to him. Aiden comes back with pretzels, and Elizabeth asks him what the letter is. He says, uh oh. She thinks he was supposed to give it to her. She found it in his backpack.
Jordan tells Valerie that it was the first time she was running a department on her own. A lot has changed, especially how she’d handle situations like Valerie’s. Dante was her supervisor. Valerie wants to make it clear that he in no way coerced her. It was completely consensual; he never took advantage of her. She thinks it was addressed appropriately. Valerie says she never held anything against always Jordan. She’s been professional. More than that; she’s been a mentor, a role model. She’s one of the reason Valerie took the exam. Jordan is looking forward to working with her, and getting back to where they used to be.
Brad says that running is on Lucas’s side of the family; not his. He says he should probably get going before Wiley starts again. He leaves, and Sam asks Alexis, was it her, or did Brad seem off? Kristina thinks their family makes him nervous. She can’t blame him; they’re screaming overachievers. Alexis says he looked like he had a lot on his mind.
Michael tells Nelle that he’s not interested. He asks her to spare them a long, drawn out trial, and reliving the pain. Chase walks in, and says she’ll never do that; she’s incapable of remorse. She just wants her moment in court. He asks if she has her victim tears ready. The jury is going to hear her ask him to kill Michael, and admit to killing Zach. She can cry all she wants, but she should cry for herself. She’s about to be convicted for murder.
Nina apologizes to Sasha. Sasha says she can’t deny the relationship out of respect for her mother. Nina says a woman who didn’t have respect enough for Sasha to tell her the truth. Sasha starts to leave. Nina asks her not to go. She still remembers being pregnant with Sasha, and thinking about their future; going to the theater, walking her to school, the incredible woman she would become. All of that was taken from her. She didn’t know Sasha existed, and thought she was gone. If she’d known, she would have spent every moment trying to find her. She asks if they can start over. Sasha sits back down, and says, it was a lot. Nina agrees, and says they can start again tomorrow.
Nelle tells Chase that he’s hardly in a position to look down on her. He set her up. He says she was the one who thought of killing Michael.
Kristina tells Alexis that she’s meeting friends. Alexis says she hopes they can have dinner with Molly and TJ, but Kristina thinks she’s hit her celebratory threshold. She leaves, and Alexis asks Sam why she thinks Kristina really has nowhere to go? Sam says, and she thought she was the PI. Alexis say she went overboard, but didn’t mean to. Kristina is just as intelligent as Molly or Sam, if she’d only apply herself. She thinks Kristina is afraid, and Sam says, partly, but their lives are going in different directions. Sam wonders why Alexis isn’t having this conversation with Kristina. Alexis says she’s showing restraint. She’s like sit down, and give Kristina ideas for her life plan, but she’s not doing that.
Nina says Sasha can’t drive all the way home tonight; stay for breakfast. Sasha doesn’t want to mislead Nina, or create false expectations. Nina says they may not be best friends or even close, but she just wants Sasha to have the opportunity to get to know her. Sasha said it didn’t go so well go today. Nina knows. She says the reality of Sasha was harder than she expected, but she’ll be better by breakfast. Sasha says it’s not about Nina being better. Nina says she’s the only biological mother Sasha will have. She owes it to herself to find out what Nina is about. Sasha agrees, and they decide to meet in the same place. Sasha can’t promise she’ll change how she feels. Nina understands. Sasha leaves, and I note their wine glasses are still full.
Curtis comes into Kelly’s, and says, if it’s not PCPD’s finest. He kisses Jordan. Lunch is over, and Valerie is about to leave. He says he hears congratulations are in order. Jordan walks Valerie out. Valerie says her congratulations are long overdue on Jordan’s engagement. She’s happy for them. Jordan thinks it’s nice of her to say, all things considering. Valerie says it’s the truth. She and Curtis weren’t right for each other. He and Jordan are, and Valerie thinks he’s a good one.
Chase hopes, whatever Nelle said, that Carly and Michael paid no attention to it. Carly says she claims she knows something that will change everything. Chase says she’s just being manipulative. If she’s sitting on anything significant, it will find it’s way out in court. Carly says, dragging them through this torture is the only power she has left. Brad walks in with Wiley.
Valerie sees Kristina in the park, and asks if Kristina is upset with her, since she bolted earlier. Kristina says she’s proud of Valerie. It’s badass to pass the detective exam on the first try. She’ll make a great detective. Valerie says Kristina is great too, and Kristina says, great at failing. She’s watching everyone else climb the ladder. It reminds her of how behind she is. She has no career; she’s just stuck. Valerie says it couldn’t have been easy to leave Parker. Kristina says she managed to make Valerie’s success about her, but Valerie says friends are supposed to vent, so vent away. Kristina tells her to be careful what she wishes for. Lately, everyone has been doing great things. Molly aced her exams, Michael is the youngest CEO she knows, Alexis just had incredible success with a trial, and Sam is a single mom adventure woman. She hates feeling like a loser. She should be buying Valerie shots, not moping. Valerie says she’ll hold her to the shots. She has an amazing road ahead. Kristina says she just has to figure out which way to turn.
Curtis hopes it wasn’t too awkward for Jordan. Jordan says she and Valerie are in a good place. Valerie wished them well, and said he’s one of the good ones; she shouldn’t let him get away. Curtis says she might be on to something, and lucky for Jordan, he’s not going anywhere. She’s counting the days to the wedding. Curtis says, and the honeymoon. They both need a break. Jordan says she has the case with Nelle wrapping up.
Valentin sees Nina, and asks to join her. She says, sure, and he says he spoke to Curtis. How did the meeting go? Nina asks if it isn’t obvious. As far as Sasha is concerned, her adoptive mom is her real mom. Valentin is sorry, but she says it’s not his fault. He says, it is. He got the ball rolling, and put her in this situation. Nina says she wouldn’t know Sasha existed if not for Valentin. She’s forever grateful for that; she’s just disappointed. She’s not disappointed in her daughter – she’s incredible – but she’s disappointed in herself. She did everything she’d promised herself not to do. She pushed too hard, she got too excited, and insulted Sasha’s adoptive mom. She invited Sasha to Paris, and acted like a crazy person. No wonder Sasha wants nothing to do with her. Nina did all she could do to get her to stay for breakfast. Sasha is gracious and lovely. That’s the hard part. She’s so familiar. They have interests in the same things, her mannerisms; she feels like Nina’s daughter. She doesn’t want to lose her. Valentin takes Nina’s hand.
Aiden asks if Elizabeth is mad at him. She says, no, but she’s not happy. When the teacher gives him something for her, he has to give it to her. He promises, and she tells him to wait by the car. Franco asks what she thinks he did. Cheat at finger-painting? Kill the class gerbil? She doesn’t know, but the teacher wants a meeting to discuss him. It’s weird that she didn’t say why. Elizabeth is worried.
Nelle sees Brad. Everyone looks at him, while Wiley fusses.
On Monday, Franco thinks Drew looks like he needs a friend, Doc can help Ryan if he’ll let him, and Laura wants to know where her husband went.
Z Nation
Cooper and Roberta cuddle and listen to music. She says just being there with him and touched by him, she’s afraid to believe it. The second she does, it will go away. He tells her, it’s not a dreamIt’s real. She was sent to him. He doesn’t know if it’s God, fate, or karma. Or Sarah smiling down from above. She’s there for a reason, and he’s not letting anything take her away. She says he’s the best imaginary friend ever. He asks if she chopped wood. She did, and he goes to fetch it.
A sign says, Welcome to Altura. Doc drives up to the entrance. Everyone greets George. The place looks like a campus, and Doc says, this is more like it. There’s a farmer’s market, and Doc sees some weird people in masks. George says she has new citizens. They’re informed it’s the longest running zombie free outpost. Give themselves a hand. They made it. George says the team will take good care of them. She’ll see them inside
Doc gets a dental and medical exam. The examiner says, 96.4, and a pulse; certifiably alive. He gets his application for citizenship and voter registration. So does Lilley. She can’t find a pulse on 10K, and asks if he’s had any near death experiences. He says sometimes everything is in slow motion. She looks at the back of his neck, and says she sees a healed over bite. Lilley says it’s from her. The examiner asks if 10K has any heart problems. He says not that he knows of. She finally finds his pulse. No biscuits for him.
A guy is trying to control Granny, and George says get her a biscuit before she turns. Once she has one, she’ll be back. Doc tells Lilley that they have to wait for housing and work permits. He sees Red at the farmer’s market and calls to her, but she doesn’t hear him. He says he knows someone who’s going to be very happy. A man hands Red a baby, and Doc says he sees a baby and a husband. There’s a turn of events. Lilley wonders what they’ll tell 10K.
Murphy shows up at the farm. Cooper draws his gun, and Murphy tells him not to shoot; he’s unarmed. Cooper pats him down, finding his gun, and Murphy says, unarmed except for that. Cooper asks what his story is, and Murphy says he’s not contagious, and not looking for trouble. He’s looking for a friend. Cooper says he’s the only one there, and Murphy says maybe he’ seen or heard of her. He’s come a long way. He’d remember her if he saw her. She was in a plane crash, and maybe hurt. Roberta Warren. Cooper aims his gun, and Murphy says if he hasn’t seen her, he hasn’t seen her. Thanks for his time. Cooper says he must be Murphy. Murphy says, so he has seen her. Cooper asks if he isn’t supposed to be blue, and Murphy says, it’s complicated. Murphy asks if she’s okay, and Cooper says she talked about him. Murphy says he denies all of it; half anyway. He has no idea how long Murphy has been looking. She has friends waiting in Newmerica. Cooper tells Murphy that he’ll take him to her.
Cooper says he has a car, and takes Murphy to the barn. When they get inside, Cooper knocks Murphy out.
Roberta goes looking for Cooper, and finds him in the barn. She asks if everything is all right, and what he’s doing in there. He doesn’t know. She tells him not to do this to himself; don’t torture himself. There was nothing he could have done. Let it go. Let the guilt go. Cooper says he doesn’t deserve her. She hears tapping from the trunk. She opens it, and sees Murphy gagged and bound. She glares at Cooper, who says, yeah, he knows.
Cooper says he can explain. She says, explain why her friend is tied up and gagged in the trunk? Cooper says he was going to take her away. She asks if he’d planned on killing Murphy, and he says he’s doing this for them. She tells him to let Murphy out. He apologizes. His bad, but he won’t let Murphy take her. Roberta says, or what? She tells him not to touch her, and when he approaches, she slugs him. He asks if she’s going to let the devil in the trunk destroy what they were talking about. She tells Murphy, hang on. She’s getting him out. She opens the trunk, and Cooper slams it shut. She smacks him again. He says he’d never hurt her. He grabs her, and she tells him to let her go. He asks her to stop struggling and hear him out. No one else knows what he knows. No one can help her like he can. He needs to tell her something, but she can’t fight. He lets her go and she hits him with a frying pan. She says he made her have hope.
Roberta gets Murphy freed. He tells her to let him out before the fight next time. She says it’s good to see him too. He asks who Cooper is, and she says, some guy. He asks what they’re doing with him; killing him? She says, no.
Roberta goes out on the porch and cries a little, something we rarely see. Murphy comes out, and says it’s a long walk to Newmerica. They take the tractor. Murphy says, it beats walking, but the apocalypse will be over by the time they get there.
We see Cooper’s car in the barn. A bunch of zombies scrabble at it. Wow. That’s harsh.
In Newmerica, Doc dumps his belongings in the garbage, saying, time for a new start. George asks if Doc got his work assignment. He’s going to be an intake examiner, and Lilley and 10K are gate keepers. George tells a soldier to take it easy with Granny; she’s someone’s mother. He says Granny is a goner, but George says, she hasn’t turned; she just needs her biscuit. He gripes that she’s already had her ration, and George gets one from Dante. 10K asks Dante what’s in them. Dante says, nobody knows for sure. Nobody wants to know. His guess is traces of brains. It’s an acquired taste. George tells the soldier, let her go. Granny comes to the fence, and George tells her, calm down, and she’ll get her biscuit. Granny says, please, and George gives it to her. Lilley says, they do the trick. Dante says they’d be screwed without them. Doc says George must be something, and Dante says he’s laid down his life for her many times. George tells Granny that she’ll be okay. The soldier doesn’t look happy.
Doc asks what Dante thinks of Newmerica. Is he going to vote yes? Dante hopes George is right. He doesn’t trust his fellow man, but trusts her. She says it should be one nation, so he’s voting for Newmerica. Doc asks what the alternative is, and Dante says, burn it all down.
A new group comes to the entrance. George says it’s the last of the survivors, and Doc says, looks like it. He looks again and sees Roberta and Murphy. Doc runs to Roberta, saying she’s indestructible. He notices her hair isn’t blonde anymore, and she says, I’m back, baby. Murphy tells Doc that he said he’d find her, and Doc says he’ll never doubt him again. The examiner tell Doc to refrain from touching them until after quarantine. Robert says it’s impressive, and Murphy asks if there’s room service. Doc gives them the welcome speech. When he tells them to give themselves a hand, they just look at each other. The examiner says, humans to her right, the mortally challenged to her left. The soldier who was bugged by Granny calls Murphy Lucifer. The examiner says Murphy has to go to biohazard research. Murphy asks who she’s calling a biohazard, and the soldier tries to grab him. Roberta intervenes.
George talks to a guy while they look at a map. He says there had been a natural barrier, but since the black rain, there’s been an increase in zombie contact. He thinks the black rain might have given them a level of consciousness like the talkers. George says they used to see a few zombies a week; now it’s a few a day. The remote outposts could be in danger, and if it doesn’t pass, they could all be in danger, Dante comes in, saying there’s trouble at the gate. George asks if it’s zombies, but he says, survivors. The ones they brought in. George says she’ll take care of it. She leaves, and the guy asks a masked woman for the head of the militia. She says they’re on their way, and asks if there’s anything else she can do.
Murphy says it’s discrimination. Roberta says Murphy is phobic of everything, especially scientists. The inspector says, it’s not up to her. It’s a lab exam or back to the apocalypse. Doc says despite what he looks like, Murphy is really human. Roberta is the head of their band of merry pranksters aka Operation Bitemark. She can vouch for Murphy too.
Roberta and George see one another, and hug. They both flash back to the beginning of the apocalypse. It’s chaos at a campus; zombies lurching, soldiers shooting, everyone running. Lieutenant Roberta sees George crouching by a building and grabs her. Roberta asks why she didn’t get out during the evacuation, and George says her grandma was dying, and she couldn’t leave. Roberta asks if she gave her grandma mercy, but she couldn’t. Her grandma turned, and she ran. Roberta introduces herself, and says they have two minutes to get to the evac. A zombie attacks Roberta, who drops her gun. George picks it up, and shoots at the zombie. She doesn’t know what she’s doing, and Roberta yells for her to shoot it in the head. She finally gets it, and Roberta tells her, that’s how you do it. She tells George there’s no time, and they’re going to have to run through the shooting and zombies. She gives George a pointy shovel, and tells her to use it like an ax. They run down the street, whacking zombies. Roberta gets George into the truck, and gives a salute. The truck pulls away. In the present, Roberta and George hug again. Roberta says she told George it would be okay. Doc says, so they know each other. They both say, she saved my life, at the same time. Murphy asks if this means he can skip the test, but George says, no.
A fiddler plays outside the building where the voting is taking place. Inside, Roberta tells George it’s quite an operation, and George says they’ve been working on a constitution for weeks. It will probably never be done, but they’re voting. She points to the guy she’d been talking to, and tells Roberta that his name is Roman. He’s the reason they have water and power. He’s a genius, but cool too. She introduces Roberta to Roman, saying Roberta is an old friend who saved her life during black summer. Roman says they owe Roberta a debt of gratitude. Roberta says George saved her life too. He says it’s a habit with George. He welcomes Roberta, shaking her hand, and she sees a barcode tattoo above his wrist. She says he was in Zona. Roman says, in the beginning, but he left. He didn’t support their causes, and got out early. He asks when Roberta was there, and she says she got out early as well.
The biohazard researcher is Dr. Sun. Murphy calls her Sun Beam, and I literally LOL. She says it’s Sun Mai. When she heard they were sending her a red freak, she knew it was him. He asks if his precious bodily fluids haven’t cost enough for one apocalypse, and asks if she’s working on another vaccine. She says she’s examining the protein in brains that make zombies human. He asks what happened; they thought she died. She says she was rescued by some Marines, including Dante, before he died and became one of the first talkers. Another guy in the lab says Sun is married to him. Murphy says, it’s true. Love never dies. It just rots away.
It’s Citizen Z! I can’t believe it. He’s going to meet the others face to face. He’s broadcasting from a bar in Newmerica, where everyone comes to get drunk and forget about the zombies. They’re ready to embark on a crazy thing called democracy. He sees Doc, 10K, and Lilley, and hugs them all, including Lilley, even though he doesn’t know her. Doc asks about Kaya and the baby, and he says they’re in Pacifica. He tells them to take a seat, and he’ll join them when he’s done. He announces, Operation Bitemark is in the house!
Roberta says George is all grown up; she’s changed. George says, zombies will do that to you. She says Roberta looks exactly like she remembers, and Roberta appreciates her glaucoma, They toast to black summer. Roberta heard that most of the students made it because of George. George says if it hadn’t been for Dante and the other talkers, they wouldn’t have survived. Roberta says she knew George was special back then. George looks sad for a moment, then asks Roberta what she’s been up to since last summer. They laugh.
Pandora approaches Dante, who tells her, go away. She heard it’s going to be a landslide. His human is getting what she wants and more. Dante says George isn’t his human. And when did she give a biscuit about what humans want? She tells him that he doesn’t have to be so… living, just because he can’t get everything he wants. Pity.
Citizen Z does more filming at the bar. A fan accosts him, and gives him a drink. Citizen Z asks if that’s a thumb at the bottom, and the fan tells him to eat it when he’s done; it’s like the worm in tequila. The alcohol kills the germs. Citizen Z says, good to know. Doc says a little talker/stalker moment is going on, and tells 10K to rescue Citizen Z. When he’s gone, Doc asks Lilley, who’s going to tell 10K about Red? She says, not her, and Doc asks, why him? She says he’s sensitive, and will find a way to do it gently. 10k pretends to suddenly see Citizen Z, who says he was looking for his buddy, and extracts himself from the conversation.
Citizen Z joins the others, and puts down his cocktail, saying, he’s not drinking this. He has a wife and kid. Lilley and Doc stare at 10K. Doc suddenly says, Red is alive, and she’s here with another dude, and they’ve got a kid. Lilley is like, wha-? Lilley says, sorry, and 10K downs Citizen Z’s drink. Citizen Z tells him, don’t drink the thumb, but he does.
A talker and a human start to argue, and Doc says, there’s trouble in paradise. The talker tells the human it’s guys like him who give humans a bad name. The human says he never trusted his kind, and the talker says he’s going to be his kind in a minute, if he doesn’t watch it. George intervenes, saying they’re both drunk. The talker says, listen to her, but the human says they’ve been listening to her too much. She’s always siding with the talkers. He has rights. George says they all have rights. The right to life, liberty, and getting sh*tfaced. The human says, someday they’re going to stop pretending and start eating them. The talker says he’s drunk; he can’t speak that way to him. The human shoots him. The talker gets back up and says, hey, you shot me. The human says he’ll do it again if he doesn’t shut-up. Roberta says, this is going to take some getting used to. The talker says it’s his favorite T-shirt. George says the human’s wife was a talker, wasn’t she? He says he misses her every day. George asks how he thinks she’d vote tomorrow, and he says, she’d vote yes. George says that’s because she’d want to be with him. That’s all the post-dead want; to be with their loved ones. It’s all they’re asking. She takes the bullets out of his gun, and says he’ll get them back when he’s sober. Pandora watches. George toasts to democracy. 10K broods, and spits out the thumb.
Citizen Z continues to film. Roman and George have voted. Citizen Z asks how George feels, and she says she feels good; committed to end of a long journey. She sees the human from the bar, and says she knows they don’t agree, but she’s glad he voted. He tells her that he voted yes. Good luck with her country. He hopes she keeps it. She says they will if it kills her. The polls are officially closed.
Lilley asks 10K, what if the vote is no? Do they just start shooting? What will they do with the talkers? There’s more of them than live people. She asks if he’s even listening, but he’s staring at Red. Lilley says he should go talk to her. He walks toward her. She tosses her head, and everything is in slow motion like an Estée Lauder commercial. He sees the guy with the baby. There’s a record scratch sound, and he jets.
Roberta asks George if she’s nervous. George says not for the vote, but for the speech. Roberta tells her to just speak her truth. George says, Newmerica is real; that’s her truth. Roberta says, then what? George tells her, they roll up their sleeves, and get sh*t done. It’s 1776 all over again. Dante sees Pandora, and follows her.
Red tells 10K that his friend, the sarge, told her that he was there. She’s happy he’s alive. 10K says, him too. Not him; he’s happy she’s alive too. Red suggest they try this again. She says, he’s alive! and hugs him. She was afraid she’d never see him again. He asks, what about the other dude? The father of her child. Red says, her child? She laughs, and says there’s no other dude. He must mean Ted. He’s married to a friend of hers, and it’s her kid. 10K says, let’s try this again, and they hug.
Roman says it’s been a long journey. They’ll get to the results in a moment, but he has to thank one person who worked tirelessly to get them to this point. If anyone has earned the right to announce the final results, it’s her. They crowd chants for George. Roberta says they’re calling her name. She says she still needs a joke. Roman tells her not to forget the results, and gives her an envelope. She tells Roberta to wish her luck, and turns to walk to the podium.
There’s an explosion. Everything and everyone goes flying.
Next time, Who’s dead? Who’s alive? Who’s both? And Pandora says there’s hate in the air.

Griff and Kiki are running in the park. Kiki wonders why he’s lagging behind. He tells her that he had to help an old lady across the street. Besides, he enjoys the view.
On the phone with Dante, Lulu tells him she needs to focus on her Ryan Chamberlain story. She tells him, don’t start.
Laura sees not-Doc at Kelly’s. She asks what he’s doing there, and he says, eating. She didn’t think he liked cronuts. He’d said they were an insult to French pastry. He says he developed a taste for them while she was away. She says they could have gone to breakfast together. Why did he leave so early?
Maxie meets Felicia outside of Kelly’s. Peter comes out, and Maxie asks how he’s doing. He says, better since yesterday, and tells Felicia that her amazing daughter helped him with a major elevator challenge. When he’s gone, Felicia tells Maxie they have some catching up to do.
Nina meets Curtis at the park. She wonders how she can be the fashion editor of Crimson, and doesn’t know what to where for the special occasion of meeting her daughter.
Drew tells Margaux enough with her game playing. She says she has the flash drive, the key to his identity. He tells her, prove it, and she tells him to see for himself, bringing up the title page on her phone. He asks where it is, and she says she has it. He asks how she found it. She explains she’d found an envelope in Peter’s old hotel room. She didn’t think anything of it until she heard Peter say he’d left it for Drew the night he disappeared. She followed a hunch, thinking maybe he dropped it. She asked to see the lost and found, and it was right there. He says the police swept the room, but she thinks Peter must have dropped it outside, but no one associated it with him. It’s lucky it got to the lost and found. Drew asks why it took her so long to tell him.
Not-Doc tells Laura that he woke early and couldn’t get back to sleep, so he figured he’d get some work done. He didn’t have the heart wake her up; she looked beautiful. He even kissed her, but she didn’t stir. She sorry she missed him. When she got home last night, he was sleeping. He says he turned in early; the cold medicine knocked him out. She asks if he feels better, and he coughs, saying it’s a stubborn bug, and he’s pretty miserable. She’s worried about him. He said he’d see a doctor. He say he saw one this morning, and she asks, who? He says there’s one looking at him every morning in the mirror. Laura is not amused. He says he is a doctor. It’s a stubborn virus, and he’ll just have to wait it out. She corrects him, saying they both have to wait it out.
Felicia didn’t realize Maxie and Peter were good terms. Maxie says they called a truce. Felicia says Maxie didn’t do anything wrong, but Peter lied to everyone. She says he’s her friend, and they’re working on it. Felicia says if she’s sure about that.
On a bench in the park, Ava hears Griff and Kiki talking. Kiki says they need to take a shower; not together. They decided they should be doing this for the right reasons, none of which involve her mother. He thinks they’re off to a good start; he never would have gone running with Ava. It’s completely their thing. He also would have never done what he did last night with Ava. The kiss, and Ava sees.
Curtis tells Nina that she looks beautiful. She’s brought flowers, and asks if it looks like she’s trying too hard. He says the flowers are a nice touch. He knows she put a lot of thought into every detail, but relax. Nina says Sasha sounded lovely on the phone, and Curtis says, she is. She reminded him of Nina. He thought he was imagining it, but after the second test. he knew he was right; there was something there. Nina can’t believe it’s not a dream. Her daughter is alive and she’s about to meet her. Sasha is late, and Nina starts to get nervous. Curtis says it’s probably traffic, but Nina says what if Sasha is having second thoughts, and decided not to come. Curtis asks what she expects to get out of the meeting.
Drew says Peter went to the hospital after the fire. It was months ago, and Margaux has had the flash drive all this time. She says it took her a while to grasp what was going on, and she wasn’t sure what to do with it. He says she had it the night he came to her hotel room, and found her with the other drive that had her childhood pictures on it. She acted so sanctimonious, and so offended, when it was a decoy, and she did have it. Why is she messing with his life?
Lulu knows Dante disapproves of her working for Peter, but they’re already revamping the paper. She’s excited to be on the ground floor, and proud of the work she’s doing. She needs to get back to it. She tells him both of their schedules are horrible, and her day is no walk in the park. She’s not guilting him, but if he hasn’t found anything by now… Peter walks in. Lulu says she’s not being critical; it came out wrong. She misses him, and he’s been gone for so long. She knows he’s on assignment, and tells him to take all the time he needs away from his family. She’ll hold it all together alone. Peter coughs, and she says please tell her that he didn’t hear that. He says he’s looking forward to working on the piece, and suggests they get to work.
Kiki says she and Griff weren’t with each other last night, so she can’t take credit for whatever he did. He says she can. He watched From Here to Eternity. All the couples faced harsh realities, but they didn’t really learn what they have; to forget outside influences, and focus on each other. His phone rings, and he says he has a surprise for her.
Ava meets Scotty outside Kelly’s. She asks why she’s there, and he says, coffee. She asks why else? Does he need to drum up business. He says business is booming. She’s not in any trouble, is she? She says, it depends on if lethal thoughts are punishable by law. He asks if she’s talking about her two-timing boyfriend, and her wayward daughter? She can kick Griff to the curb, but Kiki is will be her daughter forever.
Maxie tells Felicia she’s done with bitterness. Peter is her friend, and James’s only uncle. Trust her. Felicia says she trusts Maxie; it’s Peter she’s shaky on.
Laura feels like not-Doc is avoiding her, but he says, not at all. He says she just got back, and he has this terrible virus. They’re fine; don’t worry. She says he can tell her if he’s mad at her for staying away or whatever it is. Felicia walks in, and not-Doc calls her over. She says it’s good to have Laura back. Not-Doc missed her support. She hopes they get a chance to talk before she leaves. Mac is taking her on a cruise. Not-Doc says, no; she can’t do that.
Drew wonders how Margaux could access the files. Aren’t they encrypted? She says they are, except the title page. Andre can access them though. He says she’s the DA, and this has to be a crime. She stole hi identity. She says she hasn’t stolen anything, and he needs to tamp down his anger. He knows what she wants. For him to flip on Jason so she can get to Sonny. Now she’s using the flash drive as leverage. That’s blackmail.
Laura asks not-Doc why Felicia shouldn’t take a vacation? He says she’s running away. It’s the 25th anniversary of the Ryan Chamberlain murders, and she’s distancing herself. Felicia says she is; what’s wrong with that? He says, it’s unhealthy. She should let him help her cope with her fears. She’ll be at the tip of Africa, and still haunted by the memories. Maxie doesn’t see what’s wrong with it. That psycho is better off forgotten, and Mac is the best medicine for her mom to make her forget. Let Ryan fade into obscurity, where he belongs.
Ava tells Scotty that Julian talked her into reconciling with Kiki, and she found Griff in Kiki’s apartment. He moved in down the hall. Every time she turns around, they’re holding hands, and flirting. The even went running together. Scotty says apparently, they’ve moved on from their mistake of a one night stand. Ava says, to a full blown romance. They want to stick it to her. Scotty tells her, the more she lashed out, the more she pushed them together.
Nina tells Curtis, does she want Sasha to recognize her instantly, give her a huge hug, and cry tears of joy? Absolutely. Curtis doesn’t want her to be disappointed, but she says she knows it’s a fantasy. She’ll be happy if Sasha just shows up. Curtis sees Sasha, and thanks her for coming. He introduces them. Wow. They do look alike.
Sasha apologizes for being late, saying it was traffic. Nina says it’s nice to meet her. She thinks Sasha is a great name; a combination of exotic and down-to-earth. Nina gives her the flowers. Sasha doesn’t want to be rude, but she hasn’t seen the test results. Curtis gets them, telling her he had two tests done at different labs to make certain. Sasha looks at them, and says, probability 99%. The other says the same thing. Nina says she was shocked too, but DNA doesn’t lie. Sasha says, okay, so it’s true. She was adopted, and Nina really is her mother.
Peter likes the tone of Lulu’s peace. It’s honest, and gives respect to the victims. She’s given them a voice, and told about the effect on families and the community as a whole. He’d like to tweak one part. He sees where she’s going, but wants her to clarify it, maybe use more quotes. She says she was trying to revise it when she ended up in the fight with Dante. She misses him, but she never realized how much she relied on him with the kids. He’s her best friend, her husband. Now when they talk, they just fight about everything. Peter gives her a tissue, reminding me of Dr. Phil. Lulu says she’s being unprofessional, between crying in his office, and warning him off of Maxie.
Maxie says sorry to make not-Doc feel weird, but he says, not at all. Laura is happy for her; it sounds like an amazing vacation. Not-Doc says he’s out of tune with his nearest and dearest. He says he and Felicia will discuss the best way to cope when they get together to write the press release. He assumes it will be before she leaves. She tells him she emailed him a draft. He says he has a patient scheduled, and leaves. Laura excuses herself, and asks if he’s okay. He says he’s fine. She wants to finish the conversation, but he says he’ll be late; he has to go to Ferncliff. She tells him that she’ll wait up.
Ava tells Scotty that she didn’t push Kiki and Griff together. They’d been itching for each other for months. Scotty insists the more she lashes out, the more she drives them together. She storms into Kelly’s, and slams into not-Doc. She apologizes, and says she’s upset. She needs to talk.
Laura is impressed that Maxie has VIP passes to the film festival. Maxie says she owes a friend a favor. She has to get back to work, and leaves. Felicia says, daughters are full of surprises, and Laura says, so are husbands.
Not-Doc says he has a cancelation this morning, and he can see Ava now. She says she can be there in a little bit. When not-Doc is gone, Scotty tells Ava that he can’t believe she’s seeing that quack. He acts wise, but it’s just an act. He’s the one who needs therapy. Ava says at least he’s on her side, unlike Scotty.
Griff tells Kiki, prepare to be impressed. He got passes to all the screenings at the film festival. She is impressed, but warns him that the program is eclectic, with an emphasis on international titles and obscure films. He says he hoped with the right tutor, he could become a film buff. She asks if he wants to make the honor roll.
Margaux tells Drew it’s a trade. Drew says it isn’t. His identity was taken by force, and she’s using it as leverage to coerce him. How different is she from the criminals she prosecutes? She says she really likes him. She sees a good man. He say she wants to further her vendetta against Sonny. She says it’s her life; her father. She spent a lifetime without him, praying he’s come home. Sonny shot him, and put him in cement. Drew says she doesn’t know that, and she says she does. He say she can’t prove it; all she has are assumptions. She says it doesn’t need to be complicated. She wants justice for her father; he wants his memories. He has the evidence, and she can give him his memories. It’s not blackmail; it’s fair trade.
Nina suggests she and Sasha use an exercise Crimson uses for new employee orientation. She asks Sasha to tell her about her best day ever. Sasha says she’d get up early, and go riding. Nina asks, English or Western, and apologizes for interrupting; she’s excited. Curtis thinks they’re doing fine, and leaves. Sasha says she’s go on a long ride, with good gallop at some point. She’s stable her horse, go get good coffee, and maybe a blueberry muffin. She’d read an actual newspaper, and do the crossword. Then she’d go to the beach, do some swimming, lie in the sun, and read. Then repeat. Nina says she can totally see herself in Sasha.
Laura tells Felicia that she’s worried about Doc. He says it’s a virus, but he seems on edge. Why did he react like that to Felicia going away on vacation? She also thinks he’s making light of her concerns. Felicia thinks maybe he’s protecting himself, and is more upset about the anniversary than he’s letting on. She saw it in his office the other day. He seemed conflicted, like he was still trying to protect Ryan. Laura says he’s been doing research on serial killers. Maybe he’s trying to shed light on his brother, and understand him. Maybe that’s how he’s dealing with it; trying to turn it into clinical study. She knows Lulu is covering the story, but she’s sure Lulu will be fair and responsible about it. She can’t wait for it to be over. Dead and buried again, so she can have peace.
Not-Doc welcomes Ava into his office. She says she feels worse than the last session. He asks if she’s unsatisfied that she can’t stoop to revenge. She says she did get it on Griff, but it wasn’t enough. When she sees them, she wants them to pay, especially Kiki. She stays up at night, thinking of ways to ruin her. She thinks of the worst thing she can do; the one thing that would satisfy her need for revenge. Not-Doc says perhaps she should consider it. She asks if he’s saying she should kill her own daughter.
Peter tells Lulu that she’s an excellent writer. She’s compelling and she sells. That’s all he cares about. Of course, he cares about her, and gets it if she needs time off. She thanks him for understanding. She says policing his interactions with Maxie was overstepping, but he says they worked it out. She says Dante is always cautioning her about it; he’s her voice of reason. They talked every night, and now, the bed is empty. She starts to cry again, and apologizes. He says it’s okay; he understands. By this time, she probably wants adult conversation and companionship. He has an idea. Maxie listens outside the door. He says Lulu needs a night out, and suggests they go to the film festival.
Drew tells Margaux that she’s not the first person to offer the flash drive in fair trade. Peter offered to exchange it for breaking him out of prison. He told Peter the same thing he’s about to tell her – go to hell. He doesn’t care about the man he once was. Margaux says deep down he does. He can be that man, not a pale imitation of Jason Morgan.
Felicia asks how Doc feels about the coverage, but Laura says they haven’t had much time. He’s so busy offering support for everyone else’s feelings, she doesn’t think he took the time for his own. Felicia says it’s just like him to erase other’s pain without think of himself.
Ava asks if not-Doc is really suggesting she murder Kiki. She laughs, and says he had her going. Reverse psychology. He’s using her idea to make her realize she could never do it in a million years. Maybe Ava should go into the shrink business. She says if Griff was hit by a bus, she wouldn’t shed a tear, which is awful. Not-Doc says it’s normal. People are complex, some more than others. He understands her deepest, darkest thoughts; her desire for revenge. She says, at least someone does. She feels good, and can now open the gallery. He’s like to see her again; soon. She says he almost sounds flirtatious, but he’d never cross that line. He says, Dr. Kevin Collins would never do that.
Kiki tells Griff that she’s excited about the passes; it’s better than buying tickets to separate screenings. She doesn’t want him to break the bank though, and offers to pay half. He says he can manage. He has to go. He volunteered to repair the houses on Charles Street. She asks if he knows how to do that, and he says he put himself through college doing construction. Kiki says she hosted poker games. He says they have a lot to learn about each other.
Lulu tells Peter that she’s too busy to have fun; not that she’s opposed to it. He suggests mixing business with pleasure. She can write a movie review, or write about the evils of buttered popcorn. Lulu says, it’s a deal.
Drew tells Margaux that her leverage is worthless. Margaux says she has it, and no one else can access it. She’ll give him time to consider what he wants to do about his future – and his past. Margaux is the worst.
Sasha tells Nina she’s still trying make sense of it. She was even told a story about the night she was born. She wishes her adoptive mother was alive, and she could ask why she wasn’t told. Nina says she doesn’t mean to push, but she’s just excited. They can take it slow; get to know each other. Sasha thinks that sounds good. Nina say it’s almost noon. Does she want to go for coffee, or something stronger? Sasha says Nina read her mind.
Tomorrow, Curtis tells Valentin the ball is in Sasha’s court, Nina shows Sasha the necklace, and Nelle visits Michael.
The Real Housewives of Dallas
Stephanie meets Kameron and LeeAnne for lunch. In her interview, LeeAnne appreciates Stephanie seeing her in a new light, and wants the same for Kameron. They’re like Barbie and Skipper. It’s a fab friendship waiting to blossom. Stephanie tells them she was just at brunch, so she’s drinking lunch.
Brandi meets D’Andra for lunch. Brandi says she’s hired a nanny, and there’s a difference already. She’s getting me time. In her interview, Brandi says she really needs this. She can have bottle of rosé at lunch, and not have to worry changing diapers.
In Stephanie’s interview, she says she’s the female Christopher Columbus. She’s exploring uncharted territory, and going into the land of pink. Kameron says time will tell if she’s pledging this sorority. LeeAnne talks about Brandi bring the beer bong to the bar. Stephanie tells them she’s getting vaginal rejuvenation – the main topic of all Real Housewives. In her interview, Stephanie says she practically has to wear a diaper. LeeAnne says it happens to her, and she hasn’t even had a baby.
D’Andra tells Brandi that she tried getting LeeAnne to tell her what’s going on, but she told her to stop digging at her. LeeAnne is pushing her away, saying it’s none of her business. In her interview, D’Andra says all of a sudden, it’s none of her business. She’s heard multiple people say Rich isn’t faithful. LeeAnne knows she knows, and refuses to tell her. If a wedding happens, she’ll be surprised. D’Andra said LeeAnne and Rich lead separate lives, and LeeAnne got upset. In D’Andra’s interview, she says if she points it out, ultimately it will be her fault. Brandi is willing to let everything in the past go, but when LeeAnne told D’Andra and Kameron to watch out for her, it stirred up old emotions. In her interview, Brandi says although she’s moving forward, LeeAnne telling people she’s a bad influence shows her nothing has changed. D’Andra says Kameron thinks LeeAnne is jealous. Brandi has an amazing husband, and married for love, but LeeAnne can’t get Rich to walk her down the aisle. In her interview, D’Andra says best friends are supposed to tell each other everything, but LeeAnne is telling her nothing. That’s the most hurtful thing.
Stephanie asks Kameron how is it that they weren’t getting along. Kameron says they’re the only two blondes. LeeAnne thinks the only division is other people. Kameron says she felt no connection because Brandi was between them. Stephanie is different when she’s away from her. In her interview, Stephanie wants to get to know the girls by herself. It’s easier one-on-one. LeeAnne tells them Cary told her that Brandi claimed she’s talking in Kameron’s ear. Why would she tell them not to be friends? She’s trying to bring the others together. Kameron says LeeAnne never told her not to be friends with anyone.
Brandi tells D’Andra, let’s get drunk, and orders tequila shots. Like tequila isn’t bad enough. I can’t imagine mixing it with rosé. Eww.
Stephanie asks about the 80s prom. Kameron says it’s a No Tie event, and it raises AIDs awareness. She doesn’t remember the 80s, but loves an 80s costume theme. Me too, but she just made me feel old since I remember them well. For the most part. They also have tequila shots, but no one seems to like them, and LeeAnne says she’s finally in the right group. I guess it’s my group too.
In Leeanne’s interview, she says in Dallas society, everyone socializes the most during charity season. She used to see D’Andra all the time, but now that she’s friends with Brandi, D’Andra’s priorities are in a tornado spin. She doesn’t see her anymore. Brandi could have a shove-cake-up-your-ass party, and she’d show up.
LeeAnne is at a Black Tie event, which isn’t really black tie, it’s just called that. D’Andra suddenly shows up, bringing Brandi. She tells LeeAnne they were having lunch and drinking. In her interview, LeeAnne calls it boozy-lunch, and says there are twelve minutes left to the event. She asks Brandi about telling Cary that she’s telling Kameron who to be friends with. She thinks they should all get together, so everyone understands each other. In her interview, LeeAnne points out that Brandi is sh*t-faced, and can’t even stand still. Truth! She’s laughing at Brandi’s ass. Brandi thinks LeeAnne is a buzzkill, and she’ll drink all day if she wants to. She has a nanny. D’Andra thinks they should talk; they’re not communicating. LeeAnne says what Cary told her bothers her. Brandi is like, huh? and in LeeAnne’s interview, she says, have another glass of wine, bitch. LeeAnne explains it again, and says she never told anyone not be friends with someone. Brandi calls bullsh*t. Years ago, she tried to persuade Cary that she wasn’t a good person. We flash back to that, and it’s not quite what she said. LeeAnne says that’s the way Brandi perceives it, but she didn’t say that. She told Cary to be careful. In LeeAnne’s interview, she wonders if D’Andra is going to say anything. She brought the chihuahua. Either give it a chew toy to shut it up or take it away. LeeAnne says, there’s no pattern. She says Brandi looks like she’s unhappy that the conversation isn’t going in the direction she wanted it to. How would she like it to go? Brandi says she’d like LeeAnne to own that she’s effing wrong. She can never admit anything; it’s always someone else’s fault. She spins it, and makes it about somebody else. In her interview, LeeAnne says she has no respect for Brandi. Brandi walks away, and D’Andra thinks she might have been the wrong person to bring. D’Andra says she’s told LeeAnne what she thinks, and has been honest. LeeAnne says she has too.
Kam talks to Court, telling him that she can’t get anything done at the house. The kids are banging on the door when she’s on a conference call. We see a clip of that. She says she skipped her workout for the business, so if she gets fat, he has to understand. In her interview, Kameron understands Court’s skepticism. She says everybody makes fun of the pink dog food because they say dogs can’t see color, but there’s been new research. Court says they need to see red and green; red means losing money. He tells her that she’ll have to sell five thousand bags a month. Kameron asks why he’s putting pressure on her, and he says it’s the reality of business. She tells him to beat up another company he’s invested in, instead of being so hard on her. In her interview, she says she’s furious at the pressure Court puts on her. He expects insane sales when she just launched the product. She’s not a typical CEO sitting behind a desk, and needs more time to see where it’s going to go. A distributor calls, and says Sparkle Dog is the kind of product they’re looking for that consumers understand. He’s on speaker, and Court asks if he thinks people would actually purchase it. He says he can see it on shelves in Hong Kong, japan and Korea; around the world. I’m nodding because I see it too. In her interview, Kameron says Court is shocked that there’s so much passion for the product. She hopes it’s a wake-up call. Sparkle Dog is happening whether he likes it or not. She thinks Japan will love their Yorkie icon. Of course they will. They gave us Hello Kitty. The guy asks for samples of empty packaging. Court is shocked, but gives Kameron a fist bump. She says, and this is only one call.
Stephanie goes to Cary’s practice for the rejuvenation. Cary says, when you’re happier down there, you’re happier everywhere. Stephanie says her life is being controlled by her bladder. Cary wonders why it’s funny when it’s Stephanie, and says her who-ha will be awesome. Travis will think he’s in the wrong hole. Wow. The procedure is quick, and I guess relatively painless, since Stephanie is surprised, thinking there would be fire on her hooter. She’s glad she did it, and is excited about the 80s party. She suggests she and Cary go together with Brandi. Cary says she needs to talk to Brandi, because she brought up a personal conversation that she shouldn’t have. Stephanie says Cary’s honesty is awesome, but don’t be stirring the pot. She might be overcompensating, and people take it the wrong way. In Stephanie’s interview, she says first, Carly told Brandi that D’Andra says she was abusing Adderall, then she told D’Andra that LeeAnne said she only had $200 – something that will never go away, along with the topic of vaginal rejuvenation. Now she says LeeAnne is Kameron’s ear. She has good intentions, but it looks like she’s a sh*t stirrer. Cary says she needs to reel it back. Stephanie says it becomes like playing telephone. She knows Cary’s not a pot stirrer. Cary says that’s not who she is, but I’m not so sure.
Stephanie gets her big 80s hair done, and puts some weird teeth in. She hates the 80s thing. The fashions were so ugly, you can’t be cute. It’s like putting lipstick on a pig. I beg to differ. There were a lot of cute fashions in the 80s. Maybe she’s confusing it with the 90s. She puts on a prom queen sash. Brandi pulls up in a limo, wearing a tux, with long hair and a bandana, and I think she looks more like she’s from the 70s. Stephanie says she always wanted to be prom queen. It’s her chance, and she’s taking it. Brandi says she’s expecting get laid tonight. In her interview, Brandi says she went to the prom with Bryan, but she didn’t lose her virginity like Stephanie. In Stephanie’s interview, she says her date lost the key to their room, and she lost her virginity on the floor of a closet in her parents’ house, but it was just the tip. Hey, I’m just the messenger.
Kameron shows up in a Madonna getup. She’s known for being involved in the community, and is the honorary co-chair. She thanks the other members of the committee. In her interview, she says she’s stretched her commitments, but this an honor. In LeeAnne’s interview, she says she’s been an honorary chair. It’s basically sharing your wealthy contact info. Kameron is connected to the right people in the right places.
Cary doesn’t love the 80s. Why dress up in something tragic on purpose? Are they kidding??? She says it was the height of her hair days. She and God communicating via Aqua Net. Kameron say she was born later. LeeAnne needs alcohol.
Brandi, Stephanie, and Cary arrive. Brandi tells D’Andra that lunch was a good time. In her interview, Brandi thinks even LeeAnne isn’t happy with LeeAnne. LeeAnne dismissed her in the past, but continues to tell people to be wary of her. She’s less aggressive, but still trying to maneuver and control relationships. She thinks LeeAnne is manipulating and calculating, and is using Stephanie to get under her skin. Stephanie asks Brandi if they should make out now.
The bar dispenses drinks in magical light-up glasses. LeeAnne tells Cary and D’Andra bringing a drunk Brandi to the Black Tie event. Cary says Brandi is at home with kids, and needs time out. In her interview, Cary says LeeAnne doesn’t understand the stress of newborn, and she should leave Brandi alone. The co-chairs are introduced. Kameron tells everyone that their presence is beneficial for AIDS service of Dallas. Balloons are everywhere.
D’Andra arrives, and LeeAnne says she nailed the 80s – she looks like she did yesterday. Kameron has a table for all of them. Brandi wants talk to LeeAnne, and set the record straight. She wants to move forward, and have a good time. I can’t keep the emotions straight. LeeAnne reminds Brandi that she showed up drunk at the Black Tie event. Brandi says she needed an escape. She thinks LeeAnne does too. She’s not being herself. There’s no way she changed by natural design. Huh? LeeAnne says that’s her opinion. Stephanie wonders what they’re talking about, and D’Andra says, same sh*t. Stephanie thinks it might help. Kameron tells D’Andra said Brandi showed up drunk at the event, and D’Andra says it’s her fault. She should have thought about it. Yes, she should have. LeeAnne says she’s at peace. If Brandi doesn’t want to see her that way, she gets it. Brandi says it’s not open and honest. What’s going on with her and Rich. LeeAnne says she’s not hiding anything, and Brandi says, why not a set date? LeeAnne says it’s nobody’s business, and it’s her life. I’m Team LeeAnne all the way here. Brandi says she doesn’t want to repeat what people said, and LeeAnne says she doesn’t care. What if people were questioning that Brandi adopted a baby just to save her marriage? In her interview, Brandi says she wants to punch LeeAnne in the face. I think this is a legitimate comparison. She says LeeAnne deflects, twists the truth, and stabs you where it hurts the worst. Brandi tells LeeAnne it’s not about her. LeeAnne says it shouldn’t be about her. Brandi says everybody is speculating. They think she’s in a bad place, and is too chicken sh*t to admit it. LeeAnne says that’s her opinion, which seems to be what she says when there’s nothing to say. Brandi thinks LeeAnne is jealous of D’Andra. She married the love of her life. LeeAnne says, more than once.
Brandi call bullsh*t on LeeAnne. D’Andra joins them, and LeeAnne tells her that Brandi is saying she’s jealous of her. Everybody is talking sh*t about her engagement. D’Andra says, everyone is concerned. LeeAnne isn’t telling her anything. LeeAnne says she’s looking dresses next week. Does she want to come along? She tells D’Andra not to be concerned, and if she hears separate lives one more time, she’s going into a rage that nothing will pull her out of. D’Andra says if she’s not talking about what’s happening, she can’t be offended. So, if she doesn’t let everyone in on her plans, she can’t be offended if they make stuff up? LeeAnne says she and Rick don’t lead separate lives. In her interview, LeeAnne says, maybe Rich has another family in Chili. D’Andra is concerned because LeeAnne’s not getting married.
Brandi tells Cary they have an issue. Cary admits she screwed up. She shouldn’t speak other’s truths, just her own. In her interview, Cary says she’s a work in progress (another phrase I think is an excuse), and she’s well-aware she’s not doing the best job, but she’s trying. Brandi says she’s trying to be a dude, and not cry. In Brandi’s interview, she says she forgives, but will be selective in what she says now. LeeAnne tells D’Andra maybe she’ll share things if it’s not like this; she has to calm down and just talk. D’Andra says if she doesn’t get a straight answer, she’s calling bullsh*t. LeeAnne says she’s not doing this. She’s fine. Geez, this is wearing me out. It’s like they want something to be wrong.
The king and queen of the prom are announced, and the queen is LeeAnne. In her interview, she says she didn’t go to her own prom, so being crowned prom queen is like God saying he’s proud of her. Keep doing you. You’re a good person. She tells Kameron about not going to her own prom, and Kameron says it’s amazing. We see D’Andra walking out.
Next time, Dee tells D’Andra to be concerned about running the office rather than LeeAnne, Brandi repeats the example LeeAnne used about the baby, LeeAnne crosses paths with Mark, and LeeAnne tells D’Andra that when she’s with Brandi, alcohol is always involved.

12 hours later. MJ is snoring at 1:24 pm. GG is doing her makeup. The others are eating. Shervin and Mike find Nema and Mona. Mike says, it’s a touchy subject. It wasn’t for everyone to know Morgan was moving out. It’s something to take to the grave. Reza betrayed his trust, and once the dam is opened, good luck closing it again. He understands they hold each other accountable, but it’s a deep hurt to be betrayed by someone you love. Did he think no one would notice she’d moved out? That’s what’s so stupid.
Reza has a surprise for MJ, who mumbles at him. Tommy is Reza’s bachelorette gift to MJ; this hunk of manness. MJ suggests he use some mouthwash, but I can’t imagine she must smell too good. In her interview, she says it’s the perfect bachelorette party. A day without Tommy, and a night with him.
Everyone gets ready to go out. They eat dinner in the suite, and plan on going to the club afterward. MJ comes in wearing a glittery jumpsuit. She drops her bag and tries to reach over the back of couch to retrieve it. In her interview, she says she’s how to do Vegas personified. They call it Sin City, not Nun City. Destiney says the vibe is uncomfortable. She feels the testosterone. Everyone keeps too much inside, and it’s going to be dangerous when it boils over. The rest of the crowd arrives at the suite. Reza wants to get the party up and running. It’s turn up time.
A party bus takes them to the club. In his interview, Mike says he’s an emotional person, and he knows where he stands with Reza now. Reza is a back stabber. Mike is trying to put his differences aside and enjoy the night. Dancing and drinking happens. Streamers fall. Mike chats up a waitress. Reza says a leopard doesn’t change his spots. Regardless of where they are or what’s happening, Mike will creep, and it’s a vicious cycle for him. By 3 am, MJ is ready to call it a night. Tommy falls over trying to help unzip her jumpsuit.
In the morning, Reza says MJ and Tommy’s room looks like a tornado hit. Destiney feels like a baby dinosaur waking up. GG stumbles out, and says, Golnessa isn’t available right now. Try your call again later. Another amazing spread of food appears. MJ comes in looking for a bottomless mimosa, and it’s turn up time again. Reza says the last day’s itinerary is a delicious breakfast and getting back to LA. Destiney wanders in wearing her robe. GG doesn’t know what she drank, but she has footage. We see it. She says she and Destiney changed clothes, and went with some others to another club. She points out that Mona is dancing on the table, and Mike is throwing money at random people. They wonder where Mike is.
Reza says Mike isn’t there, but he and MJ are the reason he’s divorced. He says there is a reason Mike is divorced and that Morgan broke up with him, but it’s not because of what he did last night. GG says she has a video, and everyone looks at it. Reza says to the untrained eye, it looks like he’s just ordering a drink, but he’s probably asking what time her shift is over. Shervin calls, and says he’s still getting his sh*t together
MJ does some elaborate moves to put on perfume. Everyone packs. Adam can’t wait to get home to the dogs. Mike toddles in. Shervin says, you know that friend who’s always in the video? He says it looks like Mike is ordering a drink, but they’re very close. Mike asks if Shervin thinks he hooked up? Mike hunts down GG, and asks to see the video. Since the other guys followed him, GG kicks everyone out except for Mike, saying she’s not getting busted out. She plays the video for Mike, and he says he likes have a good time. They were talking about her boyfriend, and he was joking that he hated her boyfriend. GG says they’re really close, and it’s questionable, but she never said anything about touching. She doesn’t want to know what he touched, who, or where. In GG’s interview, she says Mike is being super defensive. If he’s not breaking the rules, why can’t she film him having good time?
Reza bought GG a bottle of wine, because he knew she’d be wearing a cute jumpsuit. Mike is wearing the same outfit he had on the night before. MJj says GG showed them the video. Reza says it’s their fault that Mike has no girlfriend. He doesn’t come home, and screws other women while he’s married, but they’re the reason he’s divorced. Mike says Reza has no boundaries. In his interview, Reza says, Morgan is moving out, and everyone else is to blame, but not him. Reza says Mike doesn’t screw around; he doesn’t lie, but it is him. It was same with Jessica. We flash back to Mike coming clean to her. Reza tells Mike to get his head right. He’s good at a lot of things, but owning up takes him a minute. In his interview, Reza says, be accountable. Mike tells Reza to STFU, and so much is bleeped, I have no idea what else he’s saying. Reza says Mike was telling Morgan how much loved her, while he was sleeping with other women. Mike says he hasn’t done anything, and Reza says, it’s all his fault. GG says Reza is older; he should know better. Mike walks out.
MJ starts to cry. Reza tells Adam, Mike is in a lot of pain. Destiney says, clearly, he’s hurt. Shervin knocks on Mike’s door, but he doesn’t want to talk. Reza walks in, and Mike says he doesn’t want to get aggressive. Reza asks why make him the bad guy? He does so much for Mike. Mike says all of his friends don’t know a hundredth of what he does. As his confidante, Reza betrayed his trust. They can never be 100% again. A piece of him died, and he’s afraid to trust Reza again. He tells Reza that Morgan called him from a Tony Robbins seminar, and said, I am enough. Mike starts to cry. Well, I didn’t see that one coming. I loved Tony Robbins in Shallow Hal. Yeah, I know some people have a problem with that movie. I don’t.
Mike says he doesn’t want to get divorced; a piece of him died. Reza says he didn’t ruin Morgan’s life; let it go. He’s a great person. In Mike’s interview, he says when he got divorced, he felt like the biggest failure. He carried a lot of guilt, and has deep rooted scars. He wants be in a relationship, but feels he’s not worthy. He tells Reza that he hurt her, himself, his mom, his dad, his family. He has to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Reza says he knows Mike doesn’t want to hurt anyone. People love and adore him. He wishes he could take back the hurtful things he said. He’s going to make it up for the rest of his life. Mike says this is what real friendship is about. Reza tells Mike that he loves him. In his interview, Reza says he had no idea the amount of pain Mike was in about Jessica. He’s in no place to be dating.
Reza comes back to the suite, and tells GG that he handled it. Mike joins them, and apologizes. Reza thanks his lucky stars they’re still a unit, and they can leave on a high note. They have a group hug, with Mike in the middle. I love the Shahs.
LA two days later. Craig, MJ’s trainer and bridesman, shows her some moves in the pool. She calls it a post Vegas detox; she never drank more champagne in her life than she did this weekend. She fell out of her workout routine, and she’s doing water aerobics, along with facial yoga that she saw on YouTube, which I actually think probably creates wrinkles. MJ and Craig do synchronized swimming like the old Martin Short skit from SNL.
GG talks to her COO, Sheri. She needs Sheri by her side for the elevator pitch. She’s known Sheri almost her whole life, and Sheri has been in the cannabis industry for years. The elevator pitch is coming up fast. In her interview, GG says she’s never had a job before. Now she’s a boss. She’s gone from never being employed to employing bitches. She doesn’t even know what projections are, but think they might have something to do with a positive attitude.
Reza apologizes to Mike for hitting below the belt. He’d take it back in a heartbeat if he could. He supports whatever makes Mike happy. In Mike’s interview, he says his friendship with Reza has many levels. It’s not that fake LA sh*t. At the end of the day, they’re always there for each other. Mike tells Reza that he never wants to get to that point again. Reza says if Mike doesn’t want to be held accountable, he’ll back off. Mike says he does, and he’s working on it.
GG prepares some food at her condo. Gorgeous leopard-spotted cat Malaika tries to score something when she goes to answer the door, but GG is on to the cat. It’s Destiney. GG tells Destiney that she opened a business account. Destiney says she’s growing up, and it’s new beginnings.
Destiney has to call the detective she’s hired to find her father, and can’t do it by herself; it’s hard. In her interview, she says she didn’t have the courage to ask questions the last time she saw her dad. She was scared of hearing that he started a new family. She calls Monique, who says she talked to Destiney’s mom, and got as much info as she could. Some of it was hard to understand, so she wanted to confirm some things. She asks what her dad’s birthday is, and Destiney says the day before hers, and starts choking up. In Destiney’s interview, she says whenever there was an occasion to send a father a card, she gave it to her mother because she was both. Monique says she has leads to share when she has more info and can come up with answers. GG says, they’ll find him. She has the time. Destiney says he’s older; time doesn’t exist. GG says she doesn’t hug often, and hugs Destiney.
Shervin picks up Nema. Nema is glad they’re doing this. It’s a huge, monumental moment for GG and her company, but he doesn’t know if she understands. Shervin says she’s never had a job. In his interview, Nema explains that an elevator pitch is like a mini shark tank presentation, and GG will be in the room with every power player in the cannabis industry. He’s doing her a favor, but his gut is telling him GG is winging it, and it doesn’t work that way. If she’s not crystal clear as to why they should invest, she’ll crash and burn. Shervin says, she’s nervous. Give her some confidence, and do it at her pace.
They arrive at the condo. GG says she’s losing her mind. She hasn’t eaten since they were last together, and opens a pizza. Shervin wonders why she doesn’t just smoke some weed. Nema wants to see what she has in terms of a presentation. In his interview, Nema says, presentation is everything. She needs clean, formatted photos that look professional. He cleans the pictures she has. GG has never done this before. She’s just going to pretend she knows the information. GG is amazed at how much better everything looks, and says she’ll give Nema a raise. He wants benefits. They head out. GG says she is so not ready, and she’s freaking out. Shervin tells her she’ll be speaking to a room of potheads.
Marketing expert Dan introduces GG. She struggles to get on a chair, balancing her water bottle and the mic. She says she has a high end brand that will carry everything, including one thing that’s unheard of, an inhaler. They’ll be doing it all. The audience looks both bored and annoyed, and surprised every time she uses the f-word. In his interview, Nema says it’s one of those awkward moments where a part of you dies on the inside. It’s so uncomfortable. GG tells the audience that she’s never had a job in her life, because she’s never been passionate about anything enough, but this is it. She shows the projected sales, but I’m not sure she even knows what they are. It’s pretty bad. Nema tells Shervin to say she killed it, even though Shervin says she didn’t do well. In Nema’s interview, he says he could take the Persian route, which is to reprimand, but in GG’s case, that would be a death wish. He’s trying to take a positive step forward. He tells her that she got out the jitters, and she has the rest of her career to improve. In her interview, GG feels like she screwed up. They go for a drink.
Reza goes to Mike’s house for MJ’s dress fitting. She’s a known procrastinator at the eleventh hour is having the designer meet them there, even though it makes zero sense. Reza asks Freddy if the dress is done, and Freddy says, you can’t rush couture. In MJ’s interview, she says she cares more about the dress than anything else. If everyone got food poisoning, but she looked great, it would be okay.
Shervin goes to the hairdresser. Mike and Nema meet him there, since it’s the moment they’ve been waiting for. Shervin says it’s two years of a commitment. Mike says he’s had more commitment to his man bun than anything else, but Shervin says that’s not true; he’s committed to his businesses.
Vida asks Reza if he doesn’t think she should be sitting with bride and groom. He humbly thinks they should sit by themselves, with her at the head table. She thinks she should sit with them, and asks, who’s more important than the mother of the bride? Reza says, just the bride, but I don’t think Vida buys it.
The big reveal happens. Everyone is all wow! and pretty! except Vida. In her opinion, the top doesn’t give enough support, and she doesn’t like mermaid. In his interview, Reza says she got married at eighteen in Iran. It was super traditional, and she had zero input, so now she sees herself as the bride. He says it’s like when they suck people’s souls out in Get Out. He’s talking to the bride, but looking at Vida. Reza tells MJ that she looks amazing and beautiful, and high five. He asks her to do a practice run of walking down the aisle, and she makes an entrance. In her interview, she says she’s hanging on to her whimsical fantasy of the days leading to the wedding being pleasant. Don’t rattle the cage. She tells them that she’s changing into a jumpsuit for the reception.
Mike tells Shervin and Nema that his biggest fault is bringing up Jessica as an example of why he will or won’t do something. Morgan wonders if she’s paying the consequences of what happened between them. He says, it’s done. We see a clip of Morgan telling him it’s become a pattern. He has a bad day and talks down to her. Enough is enough. Mike says the aftermath of his divorce has taken years to overcome. He didn’t feel adequate, and still needs to do some homework. He tells them that he didn’t realize he had issues, but if he lets them control his life, he’ll never be ready. Nema says he has to deal with it, and Mike says he thought he had. Nema tells him, divorce messes with your head. Shervin likes his new cut. Mike shows everyone pictures of Shervin’s look evolution, and they laugh at his Ryan Seacrest cut.
Next time, MJ scatters Sham’s ashes, Destiney’s mom wants her to stop, and MJ and Tommy fight about the prenup.

At the library, Josslyn looks at a picture of her and Oscar at the Nurses’ Ball. Cameron asks if it’s a new study technique, associating Oscar’s face with historical figures.
Kim sees Oscar at the hospital, and asks if they can talk. He tells her one upside to quitting school is, his days are wide open. She might want to hurry though, because tick-tock. She knows he’s trying to cut off the people love him, but they’re not straying off course
Finn tells Gregory the test results are in. Finn knows what wrong with him.
Mike, Stella, and Carly eat at the MetroCourt. Mike is nervous, and Stella says it’s just a tour. They’ll explain the daily process. Drew walks in with Margaux, who stares at Carly. Carly stares back.
Sonny tells Jason that he’s waiting for an update. Mike went to the care center with Carly and Stella. He wanted to go, but Stella thought Mike might not be honest with him there. Jason says she’s probably right. Sonny fills Jason in on what happened at the cemetery. He and Carly were paying their respects to Morgan, and the DA showed up. She buried her father nearby, so when they visit their son, they’ll see the grave of the person he killed. Jason says they have to continue to be careful; it’s a personal grudge. Sonny says when it gets to personal, it’s always more dangerous.
Mike introduces Stella to Drew. He asks if Drew knows Carly, and Carly says they go way back. Mike tells Drew the lady he’s meeting with is the DA. Drew knows, but thanks him. Mike says, she has an agenda. Drew promises to keep his guard up; no worries. He goes back to his table, and Mike wonders what a nice guy is doing with a shark like that. Carly was wondering herself.
Cameron thinks Josslyn should do herself a favor and get rid of the photo. Move it somewhere else where it’s not causing her pain every time she opens her textbook. She says it’s not causing pain. Oscar is hurting, and what he’s going through is causing him to push her away. It doesn’t matter; she’s not giving up. Cameron thinks it’s unhealthy, but Josslyn says however rotten Oscar is being to her is nothing compared to what he’s going through. She can see it a mile away. He’s in pain and taking it out on her. She only wishes she knew what it was.
Finn says Gregory has PTLSD, a post Lyme disease issue. Gregory says his test came back negative, and Finn says the first test is often a false negative. That’s why antibiotics helped him feel better, but it returns again after treatment. Gregory is disappointed. He wanted something curable or sexy and glamorous, and it’s neither. Chase asks if Finn can fix it. Finn says he’s sent a course of treatment to Gregory’s Berkeley doctor. Any doctor can help; he doesn’t need to stay Port Charles. Gregory says both of his sons live there. It’s a compelling reason to stick around.
Kim tells Oscar that Josslyn is concerned. He asks if she told Josslyn, and she says she respected his wishes, but Josslyn knows him, and knows there’s more to the breakup than he’s saying. He says he’ll have to do something else then. Kim says she’s disappointed in him. He’s lashing out, and using his illness as an excuse to treat people badly. He says he’s dying, but Kim says he’s not; there are options. He says none of them are good. She tells him that he can’t treat people like this. Just tell Josslyn the truth, or better yet, be with her. He keeps saying he doesn’t have much time. Instead of pushing people away, he should make every moment count.
Mike is excited. Carly says it’s just a visit; a trial run. They don’t have to stay any longer than he wants. Stella says they’ll have a tour, and if he wants, he can take part in an activity. Carly says they’ll meet with the director, and then go home. They leave the MetroCourt.
Drew asks Margaux what her proposition is. She asks if he’s okay; he sounded rough on the phone. If he wants to talk… He says, maybe; when the time is right. She says right now, he’s not the only one who needs a friend.
Josslyn tells Cameron that she even went to Oscar’s mom. She said she couldn’t get involved, but also said Josslyn is good for her son, and kind of implied she shouldn’t give up. Cameron thinks she’s hearing what she wants to, but she says she’s trusting her instincts. Something is going on. She doesn’t understand, but whatever Oscar is going through, she want to be by his side.
Kim tells Oscar that he doesn’t have to agree with her decision, but it’s the right thing to do. It’s a medical fact that emotional support and connection helps patients respond to treatment. He doesn’t want to spend time watching Josslyn grieve. He wants her to be glad he’s dead. Kim says she wouldn’t be glad no matter how much he hurts her. He’s wasting precious time. He says it’s not fair, but she tells him to fight. Let the people who love him fight with him. He says he’s not a lab rat, and asks if she’d really make him undergo treatment he didn’t want. Kim says she’s loved him since she knew he existed. He’s her child, and she’ll do what it takes to make sure he has a future. He asks if she’d force him to go through a medical procedure he didn’t want, and she says she would if it was going to save his life. He storms off.
Drew asks Margaux how he can help. She was hoping he’d reconsider helping her put Jason and Sonny away. He says he can’t. She says he won’t; there’s a difference. He says he’s not going to be part of her vendetta. She understands, but she’s not asking as the DA now. She’s asking as a woman wondering why her father left and didn’t come back. He may have been killed by Sonny. Help her make Sonny pay for his crimes.
Sonny tells Jason, when it’s personal, people get sloppy. Their emotions get in the way, and they make mistakes. He can see what it’s doing already. Jason doesn’t think they should go on the defense with Margaux, but instead treat her as a threat. Sonny says it’s been two years since Morgan, Nelle took a chunk out of his life, and they lost Jonah. Jason says, exactly. That’s why they need to get Margaux to back off.
Margaux tells Drew that she can still make Sonny pay, even if it’s not for her father. Drew says even if he could, it won’t establish probable cause. She says one memory could open the door, and help her make a case.
Chase leaves to call his mom. Gregory says he Finn freeze up at the mention of his wife. Finn’s stepmom was grateful when she heard he was taking the case. When is he going to stop hating her? She didn’t know Finn’s mother, and wasn’t trying to replace her. The only thing she’s guilty of is loving him. The one regret Gregory has is that being with her caused so much pain for him – and her.
Julian sees Oscar in the park, and asks why he’s not in school. Oscar says he quit, and Julian says, right. Oscar says he’s serious, and Julian asks, why? He loves school. Oscar wonders if his mom didn’t tell Julian why he quit. Julian tells Oscar that she respected his privacy, and he promised not to press the issue. Oscar says, good. Julian says if getting Oscar is trying to get back at his mom for something, he might want to rethink it.
Elizabeth sees Kim with her head in her hands, and asks if she wants to talk. Kim says, not really. Mostly because she’s embarrassed. She told Oscar he was disappointment, and it was horrible. She knows he’s angry that she didn’t tell him, but he’s lashing out at Josslyn. Elizabeth says he’s pushing her away because he’s sick. Kim thinks maybe she shouldn’t have judged so quickly. He thinks he’s doing the right thing. Elizabeth says he’s upset she did same thing, but – let her guess – he said it’s different when he’s doing it. Kim says, it is his life. He had the right to know, and because she kept it from him, he’s lost any faith in her when he’s facing the fight of life.
Sonny tells Jason that Margaux is relentless. She blames him for her father’s death. How can they get her to back off? Jason says Spinelli is looking into Vincent Marino. Jason has also learned a lot from her personal avenging. Sonny asks how they spin it. Jason says, it was Carly’s idea and it’s a good one. If they can prove Margaux’s father wasn’t the hero she thinks he was, they might be able to stop her.
Drew tells Margaux that he’s going to say it one last time, and he wants her to never ask again. He has no desire to dig into another man’s memories to help her out. He’s not digging into Jason’s past. Does she understand? She says, just one memory. It doesn’t need to be something criminal. Just a clue, an event, or a situation; a direction to point her toward, and she’ll take from there. Drew says he has to go. She asks him to hear her out one last time. Somewhere along Sonny’s ride to power, he made mistake. Drew says he’s sure Sonny made a lot of them, and he covered them up a long time ago. Margaux says with an organization of that size that’s been around this long, there has to be a mistake. He tells her, good luck. He hopes it brings her peace. She says she’s given up on peace, and will settle for justice for her father. He says he can’t help her, and walks away. She follows him. She says, what if by helping her, he could get his memory back. Drew Cane’s memories. Would he help then?
Oscar tells Julian that his mom isn’t why he dropped out. Julian starts to ask why, then says, never mind. He promised not as questions. Oscar says it’s nice to know Julian is looking out for his mom. Julian says he likes her very much. Oscar apologizes for being a jerk. Julian won’t ask what’s going on, but if there’s anything he can do or help with, he’s there. Oscar asks if Julian cares about him by default. Julian says he does, but he’s also made plenty of mistakes. One daughter won’t talk to him or let him see her children; another barely acknowledges him; and he doesn’t know his son. The one person he’s hurt the most – Oscar says, Miss Davis? Julian says Alexis has moved on, but it was never truly okay. Oscar asks why Julian is telling him this. Julian doesn’t want him to have regrets. If he wants to quit school, fine. He’s smart and will figure it out. It’s not as easy with people. The space you put between you and them, you might never get back. Oscar thanks him, and says he has to meet someone.
Jason asks Sonny if he saw Margaux’s dad flash a lot of cash around. Sonny says he was constantly showing off his money clip. He was on good terms with Skully, and willingly took part in the business. He liked the cash, and was no innocent by a long shot. Jason wonders what they need to show Margaux, when Carly comes in.
Sonny says that was fast, and Carly says Mike had enough for today. Stella comes in with Mike, and says he’ll have a buddy to help show him around. Carly says Mike should tell Sonny about part he liked best. Mike says, they have cards. Carly says they barely got past the game room, when Mike had settled in to a Crazy 8s game. Sonny wonders if gambling is the best idea. Mike says it’s a place for people like him who have trouble remembering. The play for pennies and chips. There are no loan sharks. Carly says it’s well-organized, the staff is attentive, and the clients are super nice. Mike enjoyed himself. Mike says the cards are great; the food, not so much. Carly says he’ll be having dinner with them every night. Sonny asks, what’s the plan? and Mike thinks he can do this.
Elizabeth says if Oscar can’t hear Kim, maybe he’ll hear Drew. Kim says he seems to blame them both equally; it’s unfair. She made Drew wait. Now Drew is losing out on time with his son. Elizabeth says they’ll work together, and do everything they can to get Oscar better. She asks where Julian is in all this. Kim says Oscar didn’t want to tell anyone, and she’d already broken his trust in a major way. He agreed to no questions as long as he can be there when she needs him. She can’t wait to tell him everything, and have a good cry in his arms. In the meantime, she and Drew have to regain Oscar’s trust. Elizabeth says with everything going on, she needs all the support she can get. Julian offering to help with no questions asked? She’s take him up on it.
At the park, Cameron tells Oscar that he can’t summon him every time he needs help breaking up with Josslyn. Oscar says Cameron is the only person he can ask. Cameron knows he’s sick. Cameron says he can come clean, since none of this is going to work. Josslyn is too smart and stubborn to fall for it. He’s a downer, and he’s throwing Josslyn away. Oscar wants to make sure she’s over him before he’s gone. Cameron says the only person who needs to get over him is himself. Oscar says Josslyn is the only girl he’s ever loved or will ever love. He wants her to remember him as her first love, not the boy she watched die.
Finn says he sent over everything Gregory’s doctor needs to know in an electronic file. He may want something to help him sleep, as lack of sleep exacerbates the symptoms. Gregory says he opened a vein and told Finn how he felt, and Finn doesn’t even ask how he’s doing. Finn says he’s doing his best. Gregory says that’s not good enough, and Finn says that’s the story of his life. Gregory might consider meditation. Gregory says his wife has been trying to convince him of the same thing. They have something in common. Finn says, exercise helps. Gregory says, that’s two. Finn says, Chinese herbs, and Gregory says, that’s three for three. They’d have a great time together. Finn tells him, good luck with his recovery. He’ll have the discharge papers drawn up. Gregory says he’s has a wonderful, rich life, but there’s only one thing missing – Finn.
Julian sees Kim at the hospital. He says he ran into Oscar, and given the shape he was in, the thought she might need support. She says, he talked to Oscar? Julian says he told Oscar that she didn’t tell him what’s wrong, and offered him the same deal. His help with no questions asked. He doesn’t need to know what’s wrong to help. Kim says he’s a good guy. Julian tells her no one has ever said that about him before. Kim says he snuck up on her. She thought it would be casual. They would see where it goes; no strings. Julian says they did that. Kim says they did, and here they are. She has no doubt she’s fallen for him. He supposes it’s only fair, since he fell for her a while ago. She says, funny. She recently told someone, when they find love, don’t turn away from it. He says, good advice, and she kisses him.
Cameron tells Oscar that he’ help one last time. Josslyn has been his friend – Oscar says, since they were in diapers. He gets it. Cameron says Oscar is hurting his friend. He shouldn’t help, but he will, on one condition. If it doesn’t work, that’s it. Oscar comes clean, and lets her decide if she wants to suffer with him or he suffers alone. It’s what he deserves. Oscar says he’s dying, but Cameron doesn’t let that stop him. Cameron asks if Oscar has a problem with that, and Oscar says, just the opposite; he appreciates it. Cameron says it doesn’t make sense, but those are the terms. If it doesn’t work, Oscar comes clean. Oscar says, deal. He promises it’s the last thing he’ll ask Cameron to do. He asks if Cameron can doctor a photo, and shows it to him on his phone. Cameron says he can do it, but after this, Oscar has to let him go.
Sonny says if Mike is in, he’s all for it. Mike says, let’s do this. Stella says she’ll notify the facility, and he can start late this week. He asks if she’ll take him on his first day, and she says she wouldn’t have it any other way. He walks her to the door. Carly tells Sonny it’s a really nice place, and Mike wants to go, Mike thanks Stella for helping him with Sonny. Stella has the feeling it’s the best thing for the both of them. Mike tells Sonny and Carly that he’s going to take a nap. They can go back to talking about hm. Sonny says they weren’t, and Mike asks, why? Is there something more interesting to talk about? He goes upstairs, and Carly asks Sonny, guess who was having a cozy breakfast at the MetroCourt?
Margaux says she can’t imagine what it’s like for Drew. He can change that. Drew says all the options are gone, and he’s made peace with that. She mentions the flash drive, and he says it’s long gone. She says, actually, it’s not.
Finn tells Gregory that he included his number should Gregory’s doctor want to reach him. Gregory says Finn is his doctor, but also his son. Finn says he knows. Chase returns, and thanks Finn again. Finn says he was just doing his job, and leaves. Chase follows him into the hallway. He tells Finn that his mother is grateful for the care Finn has shown for their father, despite everything that happened in the past.
Oscar looks at the doctored photo, and hits send.
At the library, Josslyn is studying with Cameron. Cameron’s phone dings. Cameron looks at it, and says, whoa. Josslyn says, nothing like being obvious, and wants to see it. He says, no, but she grabs his phone. It’s a picture of Oscar with his arm around another girl, smiling. She asks Cameron to leave. He goes, and she touches the photo of her and Oscar.
Oscar sinks to the ground. His phone says, message received. He says, goodbye, Joss. I love you.
At the library, Josslyn sits alone and sad.
Julian tells Kim he doesn’t want to overstate, but he thinks he had a breakthrough with Oscar. No one is more surprised than he is. He’d always hoped Oscar might grow to like him – in fifteen or twenty years. Kim says that’s a sight she’d love to see.
Sonny says Margaux had breakfast with Drew? Carly says she’s pulling out all the stops. He remembers every crime Jason committed. Jason says, if he does, it’s not admissible, and he’s always been careful. Carly says it’s still a threat. Sonny says, if Margaux isn’t successful this way, she’ll just come at him a different way. Even if they find proof her father was dirty, which he was. Even if they can convince her, it’s no guarantee she’ll back off.
Drew tells Margaux that Peter was holding the flash drive when Obrecht carted him off. Either he’s lying, or he dropped it, and it’s gone. He can’t get it back. She says, it’s not gone. She has it. He should smack her.
Tomorrow, Curtis asks Nina what she expects to get from the meeting, Maxie tells Felicia someone is her friend, and Laura thinks not-Doc is trying to avoid her.
Below Deck
When we left, primary return guest, Steve, was refusing to wear a lifejacket, and acting like a half-drunk Tasmanian devil on the jet ski. What that dude needs is a straitjacket. And possibly AA.
Ross says they have to be stern. Captain Lee isn’t happy that he has to chase Steve down. Steve sidles up to the boat, and the captain tells him to put a jacket on. Steve says no, and the captain says he’ll have to take away the jet ski, like Steve is a petulant child. In his interview, Captain Lee says it’s hard to tell a charter guest they can’t do something, but it’s especially hard if it’s a friend. He’s pissed at the deck crew, who should have known the hazards, saying, it’s hard to have good time when you’re dead. He wants them to lock the jet skis up. He’s going to keep Steve safe whether he likes it or not. Steve finally comes back in. Chandler says there was a lapse on the deck department’s side, and it’s a shame the captain had to get involved. It’s uncomfortable having him come down, and undermines Chandler’s position.
Steve wanders into the galley, wondering where breakfast is. Chandler tells Captain Lee that they have the beach picnic planned for today. In his interview, Chandler knows the captain is pissed, and wants to make sure the picnic goes without a hitch. The captain tells him the water will probably be knee deep. Get as close as they can, and see what they have to work with. Steve demands breakfast, saying, it’s like noon. Kate tells him it’s 9:30. Adrian makes one of my all-time favorites Eggs Benedict, and his version looks amazing. Steve thinks so too, telling one of the guests to take a picture of this sh*t. A real gentleman, that Steve.
Chandler looks for someone help set up. Ross volunteers. Kate is also sending Josiah, giving him a list to check off. Chandler starts loading the tender. Adrian isn’t sure about the guests, but Caroline thinks it’s just the primary they have to worry about. Adrian thinks Caroline is crazy, but has her feet on the ground. Josiah thinks she can snap easy. We flash back to her getting annoyed at being shushed. She says she’s hyper-sensitive about being dismissed. Adrian wonders if it goes back to a childhood issue. In her interview, Caroline says her father was on the narcissist spectrum, and she had sh*t parents. Adrian says a lot of reactions can be traced back to childhood. In his interview, he thinks Caroline seems fragile. You have to put your emotions aside on charter, and sometimes it’s hard for sensitive people.
Ross says the anchor comes loose on the tender, because of the reef situation. They need someone to stay on the boat. Ross, Josiah, Ashton, and Chandler go ahead to set up. Rhylee is annoyed they’re not using her, since she’s used to heavy lifting. Steve loves the captain, but gripes that he’s all about safety. Steve screeches beeeeeeach! while wearing a flower crown over his hat. The captain watches the beach with binoculars, and Kate asks what’s going on. Chandler radios back that the location won’t work; the anchor could drag. In his interview, Chandler says safety is number one; then the guests’ happiness.
Kate has to bring the bad news to the guests. Steve has a graphic tuxedo shirt for Captain Lee to wear to dinner. The captain explains that the beach is too steep, so they can’t set up there, but Steve won’t listen. Kate tells him that they can set up a Polynesian picnic on the deck, but he won’t have it. He says he spent a lot of money, and promised his guests a fun time on the beach. This is an embarrassment. I guess refusing to wear a lifejacket like a five-year-old and riding a jet ski drunk isn’t embarrassing. The captain says he’s not embarrassing Steve – leaving out that Steve does that just fine on his own – he’s just keeping him safe. Steve says he can do what he wants; they were promised a fun time on the beach. He wants to get off the boat, and demands they make the picnic happen. Kate says she can’t manufacture a beach, and Steve says he’s ready to dive off the side of the boat.
Adrian is told to proceed with lunch think, and Kate has to explain again to Steve that the beach is too dangerous. She’s setting up the picnic on deck. Captain Lee tells Steve again that they can’t do it, since everything has to be repeated several times for this guy. In his interview, the captain says Steve will push the line with anyone to have a good time, but his patience is wearing so thin, it’s transparent. Steve decides he’s jumping off the bow, and asks who has champagne. The captain calls Chandler to the wheelhouse.
Caroline tells Steve that she knows he’s not totally happy, but is he content? The captain tells Chandler to jump in with Steve, and make sure he gets back okay. The table setting for the picnic is fabulous, and IMO better than the beach. Who wants sand in their food? Or other places. Steve and Chandler jump, and Steve yowls the whole way down. Then he won’t come back. Kate says, have a nice trip, and live your best life. Adrian has made a moonfish (a local offering) for the entrée. Steve continues to float around on his back, and Jen says he told her he’d meet her in Bora Bora. Steve finally gets back on the boat, and greets Jen as though they’d never met.
Kate gives Caroline instructions. Ashton hoses Steve off. Kate is thrilled with Josiah. Rhylee asks Chandler what’s up, and he gives her the schedule. She’s in the middle. He likes being the early person, and trusts Ross to be the late guy and do what needs to be done.
Steve says the great thing about yachting is drinking champagne in the bath. I think you can do that without spending $100K. Josiah tells Kate about Caroline seeming panicky; she had tears in her eyes. Caroline tells Chandler that she learned she comes off as someone who could snap, and she doesn’t like that.
At dinner, everyone wears variations on the graphic tuxedo shirt. Captain Lee tells us that he’s already said no enough times to Steve. If Steve wants him at dinner, his ass will be there. Adrian makes an off-color joke in the galley. Kate likes Adrian. He’s young, which explains his humor. It’s like when you know have good dog, but it’s still humping everyone’s legs. Dinner is served, and pronounced fabulous.
Ross and Rhylee talk in the crew mess. Ross likes Rhylee’s enthusiasm. She says it’s her first yacht job, and everyone else knows what they’re doing. She can do nothing but learn and pitch in wherever she’s needed. She doesn’t want Chandler to forget she’s there. In Alaska, she’s a captain, and can learn fast by being shown once. Chandler pops out, wanting them to hold it down, since he’s a light sleeper. In his interview, Ross sees where Rhylee is coming from.
Adrian says his flavors are all about balance. He’s makes it up as he goes along, and it comes together in the presentation. Tonight, is New Zealand lamb. Steve says his low carb diet is out the window. He wants to get in the jacuzzi after dinner, and supposes the captain won’t be joining him. Captain Lee says, nope. In his interview, the captain says he expected a sh*t show at dinner, but the Steve he knows and loves is back. There’s foam something in the dessert in honor of the foam man. Steve hugs Captain Lee, who says it’s good to have him on board.
Steve is ready for jacuzziing. Jen doesn’t not want to go in, and neither does anyone else. They go back to their cabins. Steve insists Jen being them back out, but she refuses. Kate wonders what Uncle Steve would be without a surprise. Steve dumps a container of liquid soap into the jacuzzi, since the last time, he had a foam disappointment. We flash back to that. The bubbles start to churn. I know exactly what happens when you do this, since I tried it myself by putting bubble bath in a hotel room jacuzzi while on vacation. It was like a Lucy and Ethel moment where I thought I wasn’t going to be able to stop them, and had visions of bubbles filling the hallway. Josiah asks where the bubbles are coming from. Steve yells, I love foam! Josiah can’t allow this. Ross is on anchor watch, and gets out while he can. The stews hide downstairs, and the foam goes over the edge of the jacuzzi and everywhere. Steve is lost in the bubbles, and cries that he wants Kate in there. He tosses bubbles around, demanding Kate. He says if no one wants to join his foam party, screw them all.
Caroline says she’s letting sh*t go, even though she was disrespected. She and Josiah have a good thing going, and she doesn’t want to throw it away. Steve bugs the captain in the wheelhouse. Chandler tells the captain the anchor is leading under the bow, and to thrust to port. Captain Lee wonders how that’s possible, since the anchor seems to be going in the other direction. Chandler says is bad. The captain says the guys are screwing up, and Steve says even he knows that sh*t. The captain wants the bridge cleared, saying Ross gives better directions than Chandler on anchor. Ross thinks Chandler needs relax and keep it simple.
The captain tells Chandler that he prefers hand signals. There’s no chance to mentally screw up. Breakfast is a cavalcade of delicious seafood in a quiche, combined with poached egg. Chandler thinks docking is stressful, and Rhylee’s questions give him a headache. In her interview, she says if she asks during this charter, she doesn’t have to ask on the next one. Caroline tells Josiah that she’s happy to work with him, and doesn’t want him to think she’s ungrateful. In his interview, Josiah thinks she’s too sensitive, and just has to move on. As Yoda would say, with this one, I see problems ahead.
The crew gets on their whites. Steve says, another year has come and gone. Does he think he’s been on the boat for a year? Chandler says it’s a new boat with a new crew, and he’s nervous to dock. He hopes it goes well. The water is so blue, I get hypnotized. It’s time to tell Steve goodbye. His friends all seem normal. Steve says the food was fantastic, he had a foam party of one, and they made the jet ski happen. He gives the captain a cloth bag with the tip inside, because he didn’t want to use a ratty envelope. In his interview, Captain Lee says charter guests can be a pita when they’re d-bags, but Steve isn’t malicious. He hopes Steve never grows up. It kind of surprises me that they’re friends.
Tip time! I hope it’s a good one. What a hassle that guy is. Captain Lee says it was a difficult first charter, but they did a good job. He commends Adrian, says the interior team was flawless, and Ashton wore a diaper. We flash back to Steve screaming when he saw Ashton as Cupid. The captain says some people on deck are trying too hard not to make a mistake, but Ross was outstanding. The tip is $15K – $1250 each – disappointing all of us. Josiah says they put a grown man in a diaper and that’s all they get? The captain tells them that they can leave the boat tonight, but remember the rules; don’t embarrass themselves or the boat. Chandler, the bummer of all time, tells them to remember they still have to work tomorrow.
Caroline pops the leftover balloons. Rhylee explains that she and her ex-fiancé got tattoos of each other’s Instagram names. With her in Alaska and him in Florida, it was too difficult on the relationship, but she doesn’t regret the tattoo. Caroline and Josiah talk, and Josiah thinks she should date Chandler. I hope he’s joking. She asks if Josiah likes boys, girls, or both. He says he likes guys, but he’s from an old school village, where everyone kept saying he doesn’t look gay. They wonder what gay is supposed to look like. In his interview, Josiah says every person is different. His family is very loving and kind, and he wasn’t scared to tell them, but he doesn’t think you should necessarily come out. Just live your best life and be who you are.
The crew gets ready to go out. Rhylee isn’t wearing a bra under her slip dress, and the deckhands act like fourteen-year-olds. Kate wonders why Rhylee is naked. She doesn’t know what look Rhylee is going for, but doesn’t think it’s legal. They head for shore to the Pink Coconut for dinner, and start with weird cocktails. Kate asks Ashton how he got started in his career, and he says he was a dancer and came across someone looking for a butler. He explains that his dancing was always tasteful. Adrian asks Rhylee if she’s ever had Vegemite, and she says she’s had Spam. In case you don’t know, those are two totally different things, the former being a sandwich spread and the other being fake meat.
In his interview, Ashton says it’s a boat full of single people, and no one is getting any. They’re definitely thirsty. They move on to a club, drink some more, and turn it up on the dance floor. Ashton flirts, and feels like child in a candy store. Someone asks if he’s gay. Chandler says they’re starting work at 8 am at the latest. He likes to have fun (I doubt it), but their choices reflect his leadership. Ashton and Rhylee dance with each other. Chandler wants to back, but the others want to stay and drink. He tells Ashton that everyone is going back, but Ashton says he’s staying. Caroline tries to get him to go, but he says they just started having good time. Chandler says they came as a team, and they’re leaving as a team. Caroline tells Kate it’s bullsh*t.
Ashton finally agrees to leave. Kate says just because he wants to show off his male stripper moves, doesn’t mean they all want stay up and watch. Chandler says he wanted to leave an hour ago, and decides they’ll start at 6 am, just to piss everyone off. Rhylee asks for what valid reason is he doing this? and he tells her for Ashton’s actions. The two limos head back to the boat.
Josiah and Adrian go to their happy place, while Adrian ohms. Rhylee tells Chandler that she’s talking to him as a person, and he’s going to piss everyone off. In her interview, she says he told her that he’s not her boss off the boat, and can’t treat her like a complete savage. He asks her to stop talking, and she asks if he’s speaking as a boss or a person, and he says both. He jets out of the limo. Ashton suggests they all go back. Rhylee tells Ross she’ll be to blame, and the whole team pays for it. Ross understands, but thinks Ashton was out of line. On the boat, Chandler says he heard Rhylee complaining in the van, but it’s one way; his way. She asks if he’s effing kidding her. Ross says he’ll sort it out, and asks her to leave.
Rhylee goes to the galley to get desert, saying she got kicked out of Chandler’s room. Chandler tells Ross, once is fine, two, you’ve effed up. Kate and Josiah listen from the stairs. Rhylee tells Adrian that Chandler is a d*ck. Ross asks Chandler to be lenient, and if he’s disrespected again, follow through. Chandler says, too bad, see you at six. Rhylee thanks Ross for trying, saying Chandler had told her to speak freely. In her interview, Kate says, a green yachtie being sassy to a bosun; she’s not sure how this is going to work out for Rhylee. Chandler sticks his big nose into the conversation, and Rhylee says he told her to speak freely, and stormed out of van because he got upset at how it went down. Chandler says she disrespected him, and straight up lost her sh*t. Rhylee says she did what he asked her to do. Sorry to speak while he’s interrupting. In his interview, Chandler says he’s never dealt with this kind of disrespect, and he’s not having it.
Next time, Caroline freaks out, seriously bad weather, and Ross goes to the captain about Rhylee.
Star
Carlotta gave a TV interview, and said music was in her blood. She just signed a major deal with the Karma nightclub, and is going to have a weekly live stream. It will be a game changer. Mateo said it was all on her.
Simone saw Mateo getting busy with the same reporter who interviewed Carlotta. After backing away from the scene, Simone ran into Mateo’s wife, who said Simone had convinced them. She was going to star in the movie with Noah.
Bobby tried giving Noah advice, but Noah wasn’t too keen on taking it from someone sleeping on his couch. Noah finally threw money at him, saying he wasn’t good enough for Bobby when he had nothing. He told Bobby to get out.
Cassie swore no more street hustle or blood on her hands. She was all about the club. Carlotta was surprised to find out Cassie owned the club, and said she had no experience or track record. Cassie wanted Noah working for her, but Carlotta said Cassie wasn’t going to win this war.
Alex brought Bianca’s (the fan who died in the plane crash) sister, Olivia, to visit her. Olivia was thrilled to be in Alex’s presence and see the glamorous life. Alex told Olivia about her guilt, and being brought out of the plane before Bianca was. Olivia asked if bringing her there made Alex feel better. Her sister was dead because of Alex.
Carlotta gave Andy an envelope of money, and told him to stay gone. He told her that he was sorry, but she said that wasn’t going to change anything. Just stay safe. Jahil appeared – he’s growing a beard in the afterlife – and Carlotta told him that Andy feels guilty. She had to deal with the Cassie mess, and knew someone was bankrolling her. Jahil asked what she wanted in return. Noah wanted to pull out of their deal, and Mateo told Carlotta, just make sure the club event was a success.
Star’s baby started to kick, and Star told Simone that she was going to give her kid what they didn’t have. She was thinking of looking for Brody. He messed up, but they’re grown now. Simone said they needed to find his ass then.
Ruby was feeling the aftereffects of the rape. She told Derek, when she closed her eyes, all she could see was his face, and him holding the gun to her head. She said, he had a brand.
Mateo gave Noah a new, flashy sportscar, along with a new contract. Noah told Mateo that Carlotta promised him creative control over his third album. Mateo said they’d discuss later. Bobby asked if tap shoes came with the contract.
Carlotta met up with Cassie’s businessman bankroller, Xander. She told him that he couldn’t play her like her sister. If she found out his money was dirty, she’d call the cops so fast, he’d think she was a white woman.
There was a birthday party for Jaden at the salon, and Cassie showed up with a gift. Cotton told Carlotta that she wanted Cassie in her life. I love the scenes in the salon. It always seems so real. Carlotta told Cassie that Xander was going to want something in return. He was going to drag her ass from the sewer to the gutter. Carlotta wanted Cassie to drag her ass out of her life. Cassie accused Carlotta of fornicating with a pastor, and Carlotta called Cassie a bottom feeder.
Alex visited Olivia, and heard her singing hears her singing. She told Olivia she could write or produce a song for her.
Maurice told Noah that if he signed with him, he would be king. Noah said he was already king of Gravity Records. Maurice said he just wanted to make sure Noah’s voice is heard. He needed his own empire; to create his own sound. Carlotta suggested next time come with a proven track record. She thought Noah should stick with her.
Cassie thought about what Carlotta said, and broke into a song.
Mateo told Carlotta every investor would be watching. Carlotta says she didn’t write checks she couldn’t cash. Just before Take 3 was about to perform, Star got a phone call about Brody, and took off like a rocket, Simone along with her. Bobby came to Noah, and told him Black men had it hard enough; they couldn’t be perceived as weak. Being a gay Black man was even harder. He was was wrong to leave. He’d seen Noah’s Dance with My Father performance. He tells Noah that Paul died. He lost Paul, but had promised him that he’d find Noah, and make it right. It took his whole life to figure it out who he was. Noah came out of his momma marching to his own beat. Whatever he does in this world, it ain’t about the fame; it’s about the freedom.
Cassie introduced Noah in a silver jumpsuit that not many could pull off. Noah sang Papa Was a Rolling Stone, and it was superb. While Noah sang, Star’s investigator told her that he checked the jails and the John Doe’s. It looks like electrocution. Star identified Brody’s body, and received his personal effects. She took out his wedding ring.
Take 3 was late, and Miss Bruce said his blood pressure was up because of this Mexican harassing him, referring to Mateo. Alex wondered what was going on, and Simone returned, telling her Brody was dead. Star remembered her last conversation with him, where he told her not come after him, and that he loves her always. She had to leave the stage, and told Jackson to get her out. Simone told Mateo life was short, and his wife is her good friend. She saw him with the reporter. Mateo made some excuses, but I don’t think his wife cared a whole lot. Olivia brought Alex a framed picture of Bianca. Alex introduced Derek, and I thought Olivia’s hand lingered a little too long on his arm. Derek saw a guy with a brand, but then couldn’t find him in the crowd.
Noah told Carlotta he wanted independence, and he was going with Cassie. Cassie said she was winning, and there wasn’t a damn thing Carlotta could do about it, bitch. Carlotta thumped the hell out of Cassie right at the club bar, and there was hair wig and weave pulling, and rolling around on the floor. A wigless Carlotta threatened to kill Cassie.
Carlotta said it was the biggest night of her life, and she lost Noah. She told Cotton that Cassie had gone too far. She didn’t now who Cassie was or what she’s capable of. Cotton wanted to know what was going on, but Carlotta wouldn’t say.
Alex put the framed photo on a dresser, and we saw a light blinking on the back of it. I knew there was something up with that frame.
Star told Jackson that she felt stupid. She couldn’t put things back together. He said he knew what she needed, and danced for her.
Xander met with Cassie, and said he was proud of her. He wanted her to him a favor. Run some money through the club. Cassie protested, saying she was going legit, and he said she would. Just one favor. She said, that’s always how it starts. After Xander left, a guy with a brand dragged Andy in to Cassie. She asked if Andy missed her, and kissed duct tape on his mouth. Ruh-roh.
Next time, Derek is concerned about Olivia, Mateo tells Carlotta that she’d better get it done, and Carlotta walks a road alone.
💈 Tonight’s hair win went to Star for a Bridget Bardot bouffant, blonde, and updated with dark roots. Star got second place as well, with long, loose retro curls, half piled on her head, the rest cascading down. Alex gets a fashion mention with a white long-sleeved button-down shirt. Similar in style to a man’s button-down, but the sleeves had slits and no cuffs. Kind of like angel wings.
⚓ I’ve been watching the Below Deck reruns that Bravo has been airing in the wee hours, and caught the one where chief stew of the Honor, Adrienne, ended up being a guest for a day when she rode the coattails of some other guests. You could see Adrienne eyeballing Kate the whole time, and yes, Adrienne, Kate is so much cooler than you can ever hope to be. Adrienne was the worst, both as a chief stew and a guest.
🐎 Because of the pesky need for sleep, The Real Housewives of Dallas still needs editing, and will be in tomorrow’s post.
🎤 Bohemian Rhapsody, a biopic of Queen, opens November 2, and looks impressive. I saw Queen twice at Madison Square Garden back in the day. Freddy Mercury had such a big presence, I didn’t even mind the seats in mountain goat territory.

At the cemetery, Carly can’t believe another year has come and gone without Morgan. Sonny says they’ll never forget him. Margaux appears and says neither will she. She says she’s not trying to interrupt, and Sonny suggests she keep walking. Carly says Margaux didn’t know their son, but Margaux says she’s not here for him. She’s here for her father.
Drew and Kim agree the clinical trial is the right thing to do for Oscar. Kim says it’s in December, and they need to get him to change his mind before it’s too late. If he doesn’t participate, he’s not getting another chance. Drew asks what if he refuses. She hates to say it, but they’ll have to force him. Oscar overhears.
Josslyn calls Oscar. She’s not surprised to get voicemail, since he’s not returning her texts or calls. She says today is a hard day for her, and there’s no one else she wants to spend it with. She’ll be waiting on their bench. Please meet her.
Terry looks at Oscar’s folder. Elizabeth comes to the desk, and Terry asks if everything is okay with Aiden. Elizabeth says he just has a case of school phobia. She doesn’t know how handle it if it continues. She sees Oscars file, and says she should be counting her blessings.
Laura sees Alexis at the MetroCourt. She tells Alexis she’s glad to see her; she needs her help with reentry.
Sam asks Jason to stay, and I get déjà vu. She thinks they should talk about this afternoon. She asks if he wants a drink, and he says, please.
Carly knows Margaux is still coming to grips with her father’s – Margaux says, murder? Carly finishes, remains – but this is inappropriate. She asks Margaux to leave now, and Margaux says, without visiting her father’s grave? His remains were interred today, but it’s still unmarked. It’s probably why they didn’t notice her father and their son are practically neighbors.
Terry tells Elizabeth experimental treatment comes with risks, but so does doing nothing. Elizabeth is glad Terry isn’t someone who’s all about drugs and protocol, and can relate to being a scared, confused teenager. Terry asks if Elizabeth and Kim are close. Kim is going to need her.
Drew asks Kim if it’s possible to enroll Oscar without his consent. She says he’s a minor until he’s eighteen, and they’re in full control of his medical decisions. She hates it. The last thing she wants is to fight, with time being precious. But he’s a kid, and not seeing clearly. If it comes to it, as parents, they need to intervene.
Laura tells Alexis that she’d like to assume her position on the hospital board again, and wants to be prepared. How does she fit in? Alexis is dialed into the community after running for mayor, and she was honored at the last Nurses’ Ball. She must have gotten a sense of what the public needs healthwise after the earthquake. Like Charles Street for example. Are their needs being met, or do they need more outreach? Alexis is glad Laura is joining the board again, and Laura asks if they need her that bad. Alexis says, not in terms of the earthquake. Lulu must have told her about Dr. Bensch. Laura says, had she been there, it would have been her first order of business. They clink glasses.
Sam digs out some wine. She knows Jason is more of a beer guy, but her palate has changed, and she thought it would be a good time to open a nice bottle of red. He opens it for her – way too easy. Jason says she can tell him anything. She hopes so, and says when they kissed, it meant something. It would have been easy keep going, and be together like they used to… He says, but? He asks if she can’t go there, and she says, not yet.
Carly doesn’t think there’s much difference between Margaux and Nelle. Nelle was all about vengeance; drugging Sonny, getting pregnant with Carly’s grandchild, making Carly think she was losing her mind. It was personal and vindictive. Margaux is burying her father near their son’s grave, so they’ll have to step over him to visit their son. The difference is that Nelle was an unhinged, murdering psychopath. Margaux is the DA trying to build a case. It’s messed up, and not professional. Margaux can’t believe Carly is talking to her about professionalism, given Sonny’s line of work. Sonny says if Margaux wants to come after him, fine, but no more using his family. She’s already used his wife and father, and now his son. Enough.
Drew tells Kim they don’t know if it will work, but Kim asks, what’s the alternative? She doesn’t even think there is one. Drew agrees that even if it prolongs Oscar’s life even a little bit, it’s worth it. He wishes they could take the trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro, sit under stars, make wish, and it would all go away. He wants to be Oscar’s dad. Kim says he is, but he says, dads make things better. He wants to be the dad who fixes things. She says she knows, but he can’t.
Oscar sees Josslyn in the park. She says he got her message, and thanks him for showing that he still cares.
Laura tells Alexis that she finally gets home, and her husband is at the hospital. Alexis asks if he’s busy, and Laura says, extremely. Alexis says he had to keep distracted while she was gone. Laura sees the watch, and asks if it’s an antique. Alexis says it’s a family heirloom from the Cassadines.
Sam thinks it’s weird. She and Jason were married, and made love how many times? He says, a lot. She wants to be together, and it shouldn’t be a big deal, but it is. Jason thinks he understands. She’s still rebuilding, and figuring out who she is now. They want each other, and she still loves him, but she’d forgotten about the physical attraction. When they kissed, all the feelings rushed back. He asks if it’s different than on New Year’s Eve. She says she’s in a much better headspace (favorite word of this show), and sees them in a different way, but she’s still not ready. He gets it, and he can wait. If it gets to the end, and something changes for her, that’s okay too. Sam tells him not to do that thing he does; keeping a respectful distance and taking a step back. She doesn’t want that.
Margaux holds the stack of letters, telling Sonny and Carly that they’re letters to her father, letting him know about her life; her successes, failures, and heartbreaks. She didn’t know where he was, and couldn’t mail them, but it made her feel closer to him, almost hopeful. All she can do is leave them at the grave. Carly says she has every right to mourn her father, but no right to violate the sanctity of the place and their son. Margaux says the son whose father murdered her father. Carly says she doesn’t know that. She’s emotionally damaged, and showing the world she’s powerless against Sonny, like every DA before her.
Kim tells Terry that Oscar is refusing to participate in the trial. Terry had the feeling he might be like that. He’s not the first patient to balk at experimental treatment. This one is her son. It’s hard enough being a teenager, when everything feels like life or death. Kim says, in Oscar’s case, it literally is.
Josslyn tells Oscar that her family had a remembrance for Morgan. They told stories, laughed, and sent off sky lanterns. Morgan would have loved it, but he’s not there to see it. Like he won’t be able to see the places he wanted to visit, or do the cool, crazy things he wanted to. Despite them trying to make it special, it sucked. Seeing Oscar means everything. She doesn’t know what’s going on, but they can fix it. She learned from Morgan how precious every second is. Oscar says, there is no we; no us. They’re over. She says he doesn’t mean that. He says he didn’t know she was going to be there. He’s on his way to meeting up with someone else. She asks him, what’s wrong?
Alexis explains to Laura that Mikkos gave the watch to her mother, and Valentin gave it to her having come from Mikkos, it’s probably ready to explode, but coming from her mom means something. Laura says that Alexis’s mom wore it is reason enough, no matter who gave it to her. She doesn’t envy Alexis, trying to decide how much of the Cassadine legacy she wants, or how much to reject. Her son struggled his entire life with it, and she’s seeing Spencer deal with it too. It’s not a comfortable place. Alexis says when Valentin gave it to her, it had stopped at 10:10. She had it fixed, and the jeweler assured it was fine, but it’s stopped again at 10:10.
Sam and Jason drink the wine. Jason tells her that he’s not going anywhere, and the wine’s not bad. Sam says so she knows it’s frustrating; she’s frustrated too. He says, whenever she’s ready. Here’s to cold showers. They’re not so bad. Like the wine. It’s something you get used to. Sam says she forgot to toast to something, and he says, bad luck? She thinks they’ve hit their quota, and toasts to beginnings. There’s a knock at the door, and Sam says it’s probably her mom. She knows better than to let herself in. It’s Drew, who says he tried calling. Sam asks him in. She’s glad to have them both together. She thinks they should be honest and upfront. She tells Drew the day Oscar took off, Jason found him at the pier, and convinced him to get in touch with his parents.
Josslyn says, whatever is going on, Oscar can tell her. He says, forget it, and she says she loves him. He asks her not to make it harder than it has to be. She says she knows him. She knows he wouldn’t be treating her like this if he didn’t care. Let her in. Let her be a part of what’s getting to him. He says he doesn’t love her. He never did, and never will. She doesn’t believe it, and he says that’s not his problem. She knows he’s lying, because she was lied to for the past year by Nelle. And every time, she knew something wasn’t right, but she kept swallowing it. Not anymore. Oscar says, whatever. He can’t win. He leaves, and she follows.
On the phone, Alexis asks how Oscar got her number. She tells him she’s not in the office, but can set up an appointment for tomorrow. She relents, and tells him to come to the MetroCourt if it’s that important to him.
Laura sees Elizabeth, and says she was looking for a friend, and the mother of her grandchild. Elizabeth asks when she got there, and why didn’t she tell anyone? Laura says she got in last night, and was going for a surprise. They hug.
Margaux asks Carly how she can be with this man. Enjoy being his wife, standing by his side, right or wrong, when she knows he’s a murderer. She’s grieving her son, meanwhile, how many people has Sonny put in the ground?They all have someone; a wife, a mother, a brother, a girlfriend, a child, but Carly doesn’t care, because she’s married to the man who gets away with it. Carly doesn’t know what’s wrong with that? Margaux walks away. I don’t like her, but she has a point. Sonny reads my thoughts, and says, she has a point.
Carly asks if Sonny thinks Margaux is right about her. He does have blood on his hands for some choices he made, but she knows nothing about him. Maybe Sonny does horrible things, but there are some he could have done, and didn’t. Sonny says, that’s a hell of an argument, but he’s not sure it would hold up in court. Carly says, persuasive though, right? and he says, very.
Laura tells Elizabeth that Doc has been fighting a cold, and is distracted. He doesn’t return her texts as quickly, and isn’t attentive on phone calls. Elizabeth wonders if he could be upset about the upcoming anniversary of the Ryan Chamberlain murders. Has she asked? Laura says he never wanted to talk about it. She hasn’t noticed anything in particular, but she wasn’t looking either. Elizabeth says, based on her experiences with Franco, if she feels like something is off, it is. Laura says, don’t ignore her instincts. She says she also might be making a bigger deal out of it because she feels guilty for staying away. Elizabeth says Spencer needed her; Doc understood that. Laura is anxious for things to be back to normal. Elizabeth encourages Laura to call him. Tell the doctor that she needs to make an appointment.
Kim hopes they don’t have to force the issue, but Terry says it’s not like the trial is tomorrow. Kim asks if it isn’t better if they sign up early. Josslyn rushes in to see Kim, and apologizes. Terry says she was just leaving, and thanks Kim for the consult, hiding the label on Oscar’s folder as she walks out. Josslyn says she’s sorry to barge in. Kim says Josslyn’s mom told her about the breakup; how is she? Josslyn says, terrible. She’s convinced herself that she did something wrong. Kim says, no, and Josslyn says Oscar is obviously in pain, and wants her to hurt too. That’s fine; she can take it, but tell her how to help him.
Oscar joins Alexis at the MetroCourt, and thanks her for meeting him. She says, it sounded urgent, and he asks if she charges by the hour. She thinks they should discuss that after he tells what it is he needs. He asks if it’s true that parents decide about medical issues for their children. She wonders why he’s asking, and he says he’s doing a report for school on a bill of rights for young people. Alexis says as long as the child is a minor, under eighteen, the parents call the shots. Oscar asks if there’s nothing he – nothing they can do, and she says as long as the decisions are in the best interests of the child, the law is clear. He says, what if they’re not? What then?
Drew asks if Oscar told Jason, and Jason says he’s sorry. Drew thanks him for convincing Oscar to call. Jason says he’s a good kid. Drew is sorry to interrupt, and says he’ll show himself out. After he’s gone, Jason asks if Sam is okay. Sam wishes she could help Drew, but she can’t.
In the hallway, Drew’s phone rings. It’s Margaux, and he asks what she wants. She says she was actually hoping they could help each other. Bleh. I get that she’s mourning her dad, but he worked for the mob, and she’s a creepy pest.
Laura calls not-Doc. She says she was on her way back, and looking forward to celebrating her homecoming. She says, really? He’s not any better? She tells him to finish his soup, and get some rest. She’ll see him in the morning. Elizabeth overhears.
Josslyn knows it looks pathetic. Getting dumped, and going to her boyfriend’s mom. But she knows something else is going on. He’s making up excuses to avoid reality between the two of them. Kim says she can’t get involved, but Josslyn is an amazing woman. She had concerns in the beginning, but the more she got to know Josslyn, she thinks she’s wonderful for Oscar. Josslyn asks if Kim is telling her not to give up. Kim says she can’t tell her anything. Josslyn thanks her, and leaves.
Oscar asks Alexis how would a kid prove they’re being forced to do something they shouldn’t? She asks if they’re still talking about his report. He says he needs to know kids’ rights. She says, in extraordinary cases, if the child’s vital interests are being abused or ignored, legal measures can be taken. Oscar asks, what kind?
Carly says Sonny was Morgan’s hero. He thinks that was more her title. Carly says Morgan loved her, and they had a great connection, but he idolized his father. When he was suffering from being bipolar, knowing that Sonny got through it and conquered it, gave him hope. The last thing he’d want to do on the anniversary of his death is let some bitch ride in there and tear down his hero. Sonny is a good man; a good father. If their son was still with them, he’d tell Sonny don’t give in to Margaux, and that he loves him very much. For the record, she does too. He tells her that he loves her too, and they kiss.
Margaux tells Drew that she’s sensing it’s a bad time; probably for both of them. She suggests they start fresh in the morning, and asks him to breakfast. He wants to know what it’s about, and she says she has a proposition, while flipping the flash drive around in her hand.
Sam tells Jason nothing hurts more than having feelings for someone you can’t be with. Jason says she doesn’t want to see Drew get hurt, and she says her first impulse is to make sure he’s okay, but he’s strong enough realize they’re best apart. The only thing you can do is say a prayer, and be there. Not push yourself on them. She laughs, thinking it’s such a Jason thing to say. Not to manage or try to fix it, and wait until you have to step in. Jason says, for better or worse, but he thinks it’s for the better. The bottle is empty, and Jason says, time for him to go. He tells her it will be okay, and the next bottle they open will be a beer. She tells him, it’s a deal. When he’s gone, she lovingly touches his glass.
Tomorrow, Gregory asks Finn when he’s going to stop hating him, Josslyn tells Cameron that she’s staying by Oscar’s side, Margaux asks Drew to help her make Sonny pay for his crimes.
The Haves and The Have Nots
Jim and Austin walk in on Justin standing over Wyatt, who’s on his knees. Jim asks what’s going on, and Justin says he was searching Wyatt. Jim calls bullsh*t, and Justin says he doesn’t don’t know procedure. Jim grabs Justin, and they fight, slamming each other against the walls. The captain walks in and breaks it up. Jim says the sick SOB assaulted his son. Justin says he was questioning Wyatt. Jim calls bullsh*t again. The captain yells at Justin to go. Jim tells him to bring charges up against him now, and the captain says he will.
Austin introduces herself, telling Wyatt that she’s his lawyer. She needs him to sign papers to get him out. Jim wants answers first; what was going on? Wyatt asks, what did it look like? and Jim says it looked like he was about to perform an indecent act under duress. If he’s into it, fine, but he got the impression it was under duress. He asks if Wyatt is into it, and Wyatt says, no. Jim asks, why? and Wyatt says he’s a drug addict. Jim says it breaks his heart. He wants to help Wyatt, but can’t if Wyatt won’t let him. He’s willing to perform oral sex for drugs? Wyatt says he was willing to do whatever it took; he still is. Jim shouldn’t have taken Wyatt’s money or washed his cocaine down the sink. Jim says he’s to blame for Wyatt’s problem? He took money so Wyatt would stop hurting himself. Wyatt asks if Jim can’t see all this started happening when he took it. If he hadn’t, Wyatt wouldn’t be in this position. Jim says they have a plan. Wyatt says next time, let him know what it is. Jim asks if Wyatt was about to trade sex for heroine, which I thought we’d already established. Wyatt says, yes. Jim calls him an idiot, and says it’ all he needed to know. He kisses Wyatt on the forehead, and leaves.
Jim goes to the captain’s office, and asks what kind of precinct he’s running. Justin is there, and Jim says this sick SOB tried to trade heroin for sex. It’s in his pocket; search him. Justin says Wyatt is a junkie and a liar. Jim tells the captain to search him, but the captain says, it’s against the law. It would be easier if Justin would cooperate. Justin asks if he believes Jim’s junkie son over him. The captain says if Justin doesn’t submit to a search, he’ll be forced to suspend him. Empty his pockets. Justin says this is based on lying junkie, and accuses the captain of being in Jim’s pocket. The captain says, just show him, and it will be easier. Otherwise, he has no choice but to suspend him until an investigation happens. He tells Justin to leave the premises. When Justin is gone, Jim suggests looking at the camera footage, but the captain says they were turned off. Jim asks if that’s not suspicious. He doesn’t care what the captain does, but it better be big. The punishment needs to fit the crime.
Jim and Wyatt. Wyatt wants to walk, but Jim tells him to get in the car, or he’ll fold Wyatt’s ass up and stick Wyatt in himself. Wyatt shakes Jim’s hand off his arm, and calls him an SOB. He says he’s going home, but Jim says he doesn’t have one. It’s on the market, and the doors are locked. Wyatt wonders how that happened, and Jim says he has all the power. Now get in the car. Wyatt gets in.
RK tells Candace that Veronica wants him to make Jeffrey fall in love with him, so she can expose the cop. Candace says, Jeffrey is a friend, and RK says, sorry. They laugh, and Candace tells him to do what he needs to; she doesn’t care anymore. She’s been looking through her contacts; some boys who left her for a guy named War. She needs gangsters and bangers. RK asks if she’s starting a gang. She says she’s going to beat Hanna until she gets her money. RK says that’s her mother. Candace came out of her, but Candace doesn’t give a damn. RK says his mom is a crackhead. She’s in and out of jail. She burned him with a crackpipe, and he still loves her ass. Candace says Hanna has $8 million of her money. He asks if she’s tried talking to Hanna; she can convince anybody to do almost anything. She does it to him all the time. She says she doesn’t want to; she can’t. She tells him to go now. He’s surprised, since they just had a moment. He starts to undo his pants, saying, it’s hot, but she says, go. She says she’ll think about what he said, and laughs.
David is sitting up. The nurse says that’s good, but don’t lie on his back. He might think he can because he’s on the pain medication. She tells him the FBI is there, and he says to send them in. FBI dude says he spoke to Jeffrey, who thinks David’s wife did this. His girlfriend was burned to death; she was alive when she was burning. They need his help to find out who did this. David says he thinks it was his wife. FBI dude asks, why? and David says she wasn’t happy about his new relationship. On several occasions, she’d threatened him, and there are two police reports. FBI dude says he knows it’s hard on David; he’s sorry. David says Veronica is thorough; they won’t find anything. She’s a shrewd lawyer. FBI dude says they’ve taken out people in Washington. If anything points to her, they’ll find it. He says David doesn’t seem happy about that, and David says, why would he be? Veronica is an amazing woman, the love of his life. Why would he be happy about any of it. He’s still coming to terms with it. He tells FBI dude that he’s tired, and FBI dude says he’ll call if he needs anything else.
Jim lets Wyatt into the house. He says Wyatt is staying there. Wyatt says he’s getting a fix, and Jim says, not from him. He wants Wyatt to meet a couple of his friends, Leo and Mac. Consider them guardians. Two thugs in suits stand with their arms folder. Wyatt says he’s going to die. Jim says Wyatt is breaking his heart Kathryn comes down, saying it’s good to have him home. His room is upstairs. She had it done. He says she makes him sick – all of them. Jim tells Leo and Mac that he wants one of them on the door, and the other on the balcony. If Wyatt tries to get away, stop him – even if they have to break something.
Kathryn says, this is the plan? Lock him in the house? Jim says, this is the plan. She’s holding a stack of photos, and tells him, take a look at the picture of this whore, that whore, this whore, while she hands them to him. He says, this one isn’t a whore. She’s a business associate, keeping Kathryn’s ass from being behind bars. Kathryn asks, how? and he says, the less she knows, the better. She tells him he’s being investigated for the prostitution ring in her hotel. He says that’s the least of worries. He’s not concerned about what people think of him and a bunch of whores. She should be more concerned about the matter at hand, and less about what’s in his pants. She says, they’re going to make a bust, and he thanks her for the warning.
Roderick (or whatever the hell his name is, the hotel manager) calls Kathryn. She thanks him for the pictures. She’s coming there later, so he can brief her further. He says he’s reserved a private room. She says she’ll call when she’s on the way. Jim asks if she’s heard from Hanna. Kathryn asks, why? and he says, the money. She tells him if Hanna says she’ll do it, she will, but he doesn’t trust Hanna as far as he could throw Kathryn. Kathryn says she does. He’ll just have to wait to hear from her himself.
Justin pulls into David’s driveway, and tells Jeffrey that Wyatt got him suspended. Jeffrey asks, how? and Justin says, it’s a long story. He needs a favor, but Jeffrey wants to know what happened. Justin says he needs Wyatt to say he didn’t do anything. Jeffrey insists on knowing, and Justin says he took Wyatt to the interrogation room. Jeffrey says, the same room Justin took him. Justin says Wyatt tried to seduce him. Wyatt wanted him to get heroine, and was grabbing at him. Must have been an interesting trick in handcuffs. Jeffrey says Justin is lying. He believes the part about the heroine, but he’s lying about Wyatt trying to seduce him. Justin says Wyatt was on his knees when his dad walked in. Jeffrey asks, doing what? and creepy Justin says the thing Jeffrey does so well. Jeffrey tells him, shut up, and Justin says he got weak, and things happened. Jeffrey says Justin is lying, and he can’t deal right now. Justin asks if Jeffrey is inviting him in, and Jeffrey says, goodbye. Jeffrey walks away, as Justin calls after him. Jeffrey goes inside to find his mother sitting on the couch.
I go, whaat? He asks what she’s doing in there. Veronica says, this is how he had her living. Jeffrey says she needs to get out. She says, except for this tacky furniture, it’s beautiful. She picked out the house. She brought him here, but he said, not now. Somebody bought it, and she was so mad, but let him lead the way. That’s where she was wrong. She let him lead when she was in her twenties, and in her thirties, but when she turned forty, she said no. She needed to take charge. He was intimidated. She asks, what is it about Black men? She tells Jeffrey not to answer. How would he know about a man unless he was on top of him. She asks what is it about Black men that they get so intimidated by a strong Black woman. David was so intimidate, he ran to Maggie day, a blonde, and he became an errand boy to Jim Cryer. He didn’t want to listen to her. She gets it; she understands. Out in the world, they have to fight to berespected, and at home they don’t want to fight,but a woman can’t have an opinion?A woman today trying to be with Black man is hard. The good ones are taken or married. The others are in jail. Others… She says Jeffrey knows what others are. Has slavery been that devastating that Black men can’t respect a strong Black woman with an opinion? All she wanted was a voice. It’s a bitch. Jeffrey says, no; she’s the bitch. He watched it. She treated his father like hell, when all he was trying to do was love her. He bought the house for her when she burned down the other one. He was still trying to work things out with her. He never slept with Maggie until she pushed him into Maggie’s arms. In response to her Black man comment, there’s nothing wrong when he has a strong, stable, supportive Black woman. If she wants to know what’s wrong with his dad, it’s her. Veronica says if she didn’t love him, she’d have a bitch cut his throat – a stable one. Even love has limits; ask his father. He tells her not to come back again, and she says she hears him.
Hanna tells Derrick to leave the breakfast dishes. They decide to leave Benny sleep. She has to get to the bank, then work. He says it will be okay, and she wonders how he got so patient. He says, life. She knows it sounds crazy, but she’s been thinking about that man who broke in. She hopes he’s all right. Derrick is sure he went to the hospital, and is doing okay; it’s where they’ll catch him. Hanna says, the police are coming back, and Derrick says he can stay; he works for himself. She thanks him for everything; staying there last night, and staying. He doesn’t want anything to happen to her. She’s the best thing to happen to him in years. She tells him, stop lying, and he says he’s not. He’d never lie to her. He kisses her, and tells her not to fight it. She says she can’t do this; it leads to everything. He asks, what’s wrong with everything? and she says she can’t without being married. He says they’re just kissing, but she says it’s the thoughts going through her mind. He asks how long it’s been, and she says, too long. He understands. She says he’s not with a twenty-something; he’s with a grown-ass woman, who knows what she wants and how she wants it. She asks if he doesn’t think it’s too fast. He does, but he likes it. She’s said she’s a grown-ass woman, and he’s a grown-ass man. He knows what he wants when he sees it, like she does. She asks what he wants, and he says, her. She asks how he wants it, and he says every way she wants to give it to him. They kiss, and there’s a knock at the door. Hanna says they’ve been saved by somebody, and he says, probably the police.
It’s Candace. Derrick introduces himself. Candace and Hanna look at each other. He says he’ll let them talk. He’ll be outside. Candace sits, and Hanna asks what she can do for her. Candace asks how Benny is, and Hanna says he’s sleeping. Candace heard about what happened. Hanna says, so Candace came over to check on her? Candace says she did, and asks how Hanna is. She’s trying be nice. Hanna says she’d rather hear the truth. Candace say she’s glad Hanna is okay, but Hanna says she doesn’t give a damn about her mama. Candace tells her that she owed money to the guy who came there. Hanna asks, howmuch? and Candace says everything she had. Hanna says she doesn’t have anything. Candace says, everything in the bank. If she doesn’t give it to him, he’ll kill her. Hanna is sorry, and Candace asks if she doesn’t care. Hanna asks how Candace knew it was a man, and she says Benny told her. She knows she brought it on herself, but if she doesn’t get the money, she’s dead. She knows she has a lot of problems, but she also knows Hanna doesn’t want to see her dead.
Candace says she knows Hanna went to War to stop him. Benny told her. Hanna says she’d do anything for Candace, but lie, cheat, or steal. Candace says, please, calling her momma. Hanna tells her, stop with the momma. She’s Hanna, remember? Candace is lying through her teeth, and Hanna can’t help her. Candace says she needs the money, but Hanna says she’s not getting a dime. Did Candace think conning her was going to work? Candace says she knows Hanna is a good, Christian woman. Hanna says, please don’t do that. Candace asks what Hanna is going to do with the money, and she says she’s giving it to the Cryers, telling Candace not to act like she didn’t get it from them. She tells Candace, get out.
Candace glares at Hanna in a really scary way, and Hanna says, come on out, Satan. Candace says it’s her money and she wants it. Hanna tells her, get the hell out, but Candace says not until Benny and Hanna go with her to the bank, and wire the money. Hanna says it will never happen. She’s asked herself many times what it’s going to take. She thought when Candace’s baby died… Candace says when Hanna got her baby killed. Hanna continues, when the baby died, she thought something would change, but it never did. Candace just dug in deeper, and got more and more evil. Candace asks if Hanna wants to see how evil, and Hanna says she already has. She’s looking at it. Candace promises that if Hanna doesn’t give her the money, she’ll have a visitor every night. Hanna says, she did that. She sent the man there. Candace says, last chance. Hanna says, she sent him there, and Candace repeats, last chance. Hanna tells her she’ll never get a damn thing, and says, I see you, demon. What’s your name? How many are you? I call you out in the name of Jesus. Wow. Candace really does look evil. Candace says, okay, and leaves. Hanna and I both shudder.
At the hotel room, Kathryn says Roderick already gave her this info. He says he called her so he could talk to her. She asks, about what? He says he thinks she knows, and kisses her. She kisses back, and they get busy.
Next time, Kathryn asks Roderick what he wants, David lets Jeffrey know he told the FBI, Candace offers to split the money with Benny, and Benny tells Hanna they shouldn’t give it all back.

Sam thanks Jason for his help, and he tells her, anytime. They move directly to kissing, and a new version of their theme music.
Jordan meets Margaux at the MetroCourt. Margaux has a stack of letters she’s written to her father. She wrote to him once a week, and kept writing even after she realized he was probably dead. There’s no question now; he’ll never read them. It was a wasted effort. She asks why Jordan asked to meet, and Jordan says it’s about her father’s case.
A sandwich board sign says, In Loving Memory – Morgan Stone Corinthos. Sonny tells Mike that he has a meeting with his business partners. Mike says Sonny is a rich man, and Sonny says he does all right. Mike remembers how much it meant to Sonny; money and power. When he was too young to know the real cost. Sonny says he knows now.
Ava puts flowers on Morgan’s grave. She says he should be there, and she wishes he was. She touches the headstone.
At the Crimson office, Lulu asks Nina if it’s a bad time. Nina asks Lulu to call her on her cellphone, and Lulu points out that Nina is holding it. Nina want to make sure it rings. Lulu calls, and it does, but Nina says it’s not the call she was waiting for.
On the docks, Valentin is on the phone with Curtis, who tells him the results of the second test are in. Valentin says it’s what he thought; excellent. After he’s done talking, he drops the phone, and reaches around under a pallet. A foot comes down on his free hand. It’s Laura, who says, Valentin Cassadine, finally at her feet. They’re dressing her so much better. Laura is no frump anymore.
Lulu tells Nina that she dropped by to give her the materials for the book fair. Nina says she didn’t forget. It’s just that something has been occupying her attention. Lulu says if there’s a conflict, Valentin can take Nina’s shift. He’s great about volunteering. Nina tells her not to mention it to him, and Lulu asks if he’s giving her grief about the divorce. Nina says, it’s been finalized, and he was more than fair. He also did something incredible. He found her daughter.
Laura says she likes Valentin on his hands and knees, since a bad attitude apparently came with her new clothing. He tells her not to get used to it. He’d like his hand back; he doesn’t want to scuff her shoe. She’s like, oops, and takes her foot off. He says Lulu didn’t tell him she was coming home, and Laura says it was a surprise. She was about to visit him at Windemere, and he says he saved her a trip. The water can be treacherous this time of year. She says he has experience in treachery. He asks how long she’s in Port Charles, and she says as long as he calls Port Charles home. She’s here for good.
Sonny tells Mike that Carly said he’d remembered something important Sonny needs to know. Mike says they talked about him going to daycare. He thinks it would be good for him to socialize. Sonny says if that’s what Mike wants. Mike tells him to not just say that. They have to follow through. He thinks it would be good for both of them if he gets out of the house.
Carly joins them, and asks if they had a good talk. Sonny says his dad wants to start daycare, and they have to set it up. Carly says that’s great news, but does Mike remember what else they talked about? Jason was late because the DA called him in to question him about Sonny and Vincent Marino. He said Sonny had nothing to worry about. Mike laughs, and says, it’s at the bottom of the Hudson river. Sonny asks, what? and Mike says, the gun. As he was driving to Port Charles from Croton, he was crossing a bridge. He pulled over, and threw it in the river. Sonny asks if he’s sure, and Mike says, thirty years, at the bottom of the Hudson. Sonny is safe. He did one thing right. Sonny says, more than one, and thanks him. Mike tells Sonny that he loves him, and they hug.
Julian asks Ava how long she’s staying. Ava tells him that if he’s nervous, he can go. She’s staying until she’s said what she needs to say. The only two people who have seen good in her, and a reason to give her a chance, have been Griff and Morgan, and she’s lost them both. Julian says he sees he good in her, but she’s not sure that counts. He says, Avery and Kiki. Kiki appears, and says she used to see the good in Ava. Then she wised up.
Jason and Sam get busy on the desk. They both have a hard time with the buttons on her shirt, and I laugh because I don’t think it was intentionally scripted. He picks her up throws, her on the couch, and they get busier. They hear a key in the door, and Alexis walks in. She says, sorry; she didn’t man intrude. Sam says key privileges aren’t to be abused, but Alexis says Kristina left her wallet, and didn’t think Sam was home. She didn’t pick up the phone. Jason says he’d better go. When he leaves, Sam asks if Alexis has something to say. Alexis says, you’re welcome. It looks like she got there in the nick of time.
Lulu says Valentin told Nina that she has a daughter, after Madeline died. Nina knows what Lulu is thinking, and says she’d gotten clues independent of him; like the necklace her mom left to her. There have also been two DNA tests, and she’s a genetic match. Her name is Sasha. Lulu is happy for her. She wishes the circumstance were different, but it’s amazing. Nina says Valentin got the information from her mom, and Curtis tracked her down. He also requested the DNA tests, and she trusts him. Sasha Gilmore is her daughter. Lulu says it’s going to change her life forever, and asks if Nina has figured out how to tell her. Nina says she left a message.
Valentin asks Laura if Spencer is with her. He doesn’t want Spencer breaking into his house again. Laura says he’s in France, away from the man who murdered his father. Valentin says Nicholas went out the window. He’s assumed dead, but they can’t be sure; he’s faked his own death before, and there was no evidence contradicting it was self-defense. She says Valentin stole Spencer’s inheritance, but Valentin says he claimed the inheritance left to him by his father. He tells Laura that he and her daughter have set their differences aside for Charlotte’s sake. Laura should take a page from Lulu’s book. They’re one big happy dysfunctional family. Join them.
Margaux asks Jordan if she’s found something, but Jordan says, sorry. Margaux says there must be a lead somewhere on Skully’s connection to Sonny. Jordan says they’ve poured over everything. It’s time to move on. Margaux asks if they’re dropping the investigation.
At the memorial, everyone tells stories about Morgan. Kristina talks about the time Morgan took off his shirt after he got it dirty. It was the most successful promotion ever. Every girl in town showed up, although they did get a ticket from the health department. Sonny says he never heard about that. Bobbie says Morgan was handsome, and Michael says he was shameless. Mike says Morgan sounds like his kind of guy. Carly reminds him that Morgan was his grandson. Josslyn says it feels like only yesterday, but it’s been two whole years since they lost him.
Kiki asks Ava if she’s going to show up where she’s least wanted, and hurt the people Morgan loved. Or is hurting them the point? Julian tells her to stop, but Ava says it’s okay. She’s here because no matter what Kiki believes, she loved Morgan. Kiki asks when did she love him? When she switched his meds and he was taking placebos instead? When he spiraled out of control and took off in a car rigged to explode. She never loved him; she loved that he loved her. She’s incapable of live because she’s incapable of basic empathy. Here she is, a vain shallow narcissist, making a day that should have been about Morgan, about her. Kiki tells her to leave. Ava asks what if she doesn’t, and Kiki says she’ll drag Ava out herself.
Laura tells Valentin that she’d never fault Lulu about making compromises for Charlotte’s sake, but she’ll never forget what he did. He asks if she’s waiting to strike, but she says she won’t have to lift finger. Children grow up fast. He can’t hid the truth from her forever. Valentin says, that her uncle faked his death and skipped town, leaving an innocent man to take the fall? Laura grabs at Valentin’s neck, saying she’d never say her son was a saint, but he’d never murder someone in cold blood. Valentin says she’s assuming Charlotte would believe her version of the events, but she’s a stranger. Little more than grandma in name only. She slaps him. I can’t stand Laura getting out of control this way. She’s already assaulted him three times, and is lucky he’s not calling the cops.
Nina tells Lulu that she thought she was prepared. She called Sasha, got voicemail, and I’m your mother comes tumbling out before she realized, and it was too late to take it back. This is how the poor girl got confirmation. Lulu says it’s a voicemail she’ll never delete; the first time she heard her mother’s voice. Nina says, rambling and incoherent, but Lulu says, a voice full of love. It would be shocking no matter how she did it. Nina says it proves she has no business being a mother. She doesn’t know what she’s doing. She called Sasha’s entire life into question. What if Sasha wants nothing to do with her?
Avery, who is growing like the Starchild in V, says she misses Morgan. Kristina says she’ll miss his crazy schemes, and Carly says she misses his smile and laugh. Sonny says he misses them sitting together late at night when they couldn’t sleep. Mike says the way they’re talking, it’s like he never left. It’s like he’s right here with them.
Ava tells Kiki that she has every right be there. Kiki says until Sonny and Carly come; they’ll be there soon. She needs to go before she makes another scene in front of Avery. Julian says they can pay their respects another day. Ava tells Kiki that she prays no one Kiki loves ever speaks to her the way she’s spoken to Ava. Kiki says all she did was tell the truth. Ava leaves, and Julian tells Kiki that he knows she’s angry. Kiki says she’s done; no more. Julian suggest she try not to provoke Ava. She’s hurting right now, and that’s when she’s at her most dangerous.
Josslyn tells a story about hiking with Morgan. How she wanted to go back, even though she’d begged to come, and thought he’d be mad at her. On the side, Mike asks Sonny if he’s upset because Mike is fuzzy about Morgan; it goes in and out. Sonny says nothing Mike does upsets him. Mike asks, since when? and Sonny says, not the way he’s thinking. Mike thinks maybe he shouldn’t have come, but Sonny says Mike loved Morgan. He belongs there.
Sam comes downstairs, and says, still here? to Alexis. Sam says she told Alexis that she’d give Kristina her wallet. Alexis guesses Sam isn’t talking about it, and Sam says, works for her. Alexis says she’s Sam’s mother. She has a vested interest in her well-being. Is she back with Jason?
Carly sees Josslyn, and says, tough day. Josslyn asks if Carly is okay, but Carly likes talking about Morgan. She calls Josslyn a trooper, and says if she needs a break, tell her. Josslyn says she’s fine. Carly says she’s strong; it’s not the same thing. If she needs to talk… Josslyn says she doesn’t, and Carly tells her if that changes… Josslyn says she will. She’s fine. The only person she wants to talk to is Oscar. Carly tells her to give him time to get his head on straight. Josslyn says if he doesn’t, she’ll do it for him, and Carly says, don’t push too hard. Carly sees Jason, and hugs him.
Kiki puts a white rose on Morgan’s grave. She sees the bouquet Ava left, and has to hand it to her; she has good taste. She apologizes to Morgan for the drama, but he loved a good confrontation. Her relations with her mother are at an all-time low, and she wonders what he’d tell her. Not to write Ava off just yet? To make the effort? She’s tried more than once. He got a second chance, and seized it. She’s lost count of how many chances she’s given her mom; it’s easy to get confused, since she reverts to form every time. Kiki calls herself an idiot for believing Ava’s promises. This time it’s different. Not anymore. She sees her mother for who she really is. She’s just sorry she didn’t see it sooner – for Morgan’s sake. She touches the headstone.
Julian tells Ava that she and Kiki will find their way back to each other. Ava says, some betrayals can’t be forgiven. Ask Alexis.
Sam tells Alexis that her relationship status is none of her business. Alexis says she just admitted to having one. She doesn’t want Sam to get hurt. Sam suggests Alexis respect her enough to back off. She knows what she’s doing, and can handle the consequence, good or bad. She asks Alexis what time it is. Alexis is wearing her mother’s watch, and says it’s not working. She’d gotten it fixed, but it stopped at the same time again, 10:10. Sam says there must be a glitch somewhere. Alexis is glad she kept it; it’s a beautiful piece of jewelry. She thought of getting rid of it, but it was her mom’s, and it’s all she has left of her. She knows the relationship didn’t work out, but it was given in the spirit of love. Sam says that she sounds like Molly, and tells Alexis she’s going to be late.
Valentin is disappointed that Laura marked the occasion of her happy homecoming with threats and assaults. She says it’s not a threat. Children grow up and stop seeing their parents through rose-colored glasses. Valentin says the only thing he cares about is that Charlotte is happy, and that she has love and consistency. He thinks Lulu could use some help. Laura asks what he’s implying, but he says it’s just an observation. Dante is gone, and she’s juggling two small children along with her job. She asks who’s keeping him warm at night? She heard Nina came to her senses and left. What a shame. The weather is about to turn, and it’s going to be a very long cold winter. She walks away, after annoying the hell out of me. Did she get a bad attitude with that new wardrobe?
Nina asks Lulu, what if Sasha says not to contact her again? Lulu says in the beginning, Charlotte hated her. It took a lot of time and effort to win her over, but she did. Nina points out that Charlotte is a child, and adaptable. Sasha is a grown woman with an established life. Lulu agrees that Nina has a tougher task ahead. Nina asks if Lulu is saying she should give up, but that’s not what she’s saying. Regardless of the circumstances, Sasha is her daughter. She tells Nina not to wait for her to call. Go to her. Be prepared for it not go well, and for her to not want Nina around, but don’t let it go. A good mother never gives up on her child.
Valentin goes to Nina’s office, and says he just got off the phone with Curtis. The results are back from the second test, and Nina has a daughter. Nina tells him it’s technically true, but remains to be seen. Valentin says if she wants a sounding board on the way to best approach her, he’s there. Nina says she left Sasha a voicemail, like an idiot. Valentin says she’s not an idiot, but Nina says she has no business being a mother. He thinks Charlotte would disagree, but she says he’s just being nice. He says, sorry. He likes being nice to her.
Ava, who’s been guzzling martinis, sees Alexis at the MetroCourt. She has a small job for Alexis; a small revision to her will concerning Kiki. Alexis tells her to find someone else, and Ava asks if it’s not worth her time, but Alexis says, no. She doesn’t want to, and she’s representing Kiki. Aside from that, she’s not getting involved in another Jerome family feud. She can give her a referral though, and some advice from one mother of a sometimes estranged daughter to another. Give it a week. If she if still feels like hurting Kiki, give it another week. And keep giving it a week until she can let it go. If she doesn’t, what she’s feeling now will pale in comparison to what she feels when she needs Kiki and she’s not there.
Margaux tells Jordan that she can’t turn her back on a murder case. Jordan says she can’t allocate resources to something that’s outside of her jurisdiction. Margaux asks if the PCPD has no room for justice. Jordan tells her that if she doesn’t back off and get a sense of perspective, Margaux is going to do serious damage to her career. Margaux says she’s going to get Sonny – with or without Jordan’s help.
Jason says he only knew Morgan as a boy. He wishes he’d known the man Morgan became. Sonny says he was a good man. Carly says he would have driven Jason crazy, but they’re not here to mourn him. They’re here to celebrate the time they had together. Avery asks if they can start now. Kiki and Sam arrive. Sam and Jason smile at each other. There’s a song part (Heaven’s Got Another Angel), while everyone hugs. Sam takes Jason’s hand. Laura and Lulu join them. Laura hugs Sonny. They let memorial lanterns fly into the sky. Bad. One of those landed in my yard once – still on fire. Don’t do it.
The memorial moves to the MetroCourt. Kiki tells Michael about Morgan’s transformation of the boat house. He says Morgan believed in grand gestures. He’d do anything for those he loved. Ava tells Julian to look at Kiki hanging on Michael like she’s part of the family. She cheated on Morgan, and it devastated him. Julian suggests they go to Charlie’s. Ava feels like she’s always on the outside looking in; alone. He says she’s got him, but she says she’ll always be the odd one out; the pariah. Would it be something for Kiki to know what feels like? To be hated, scorned, and despised? She says, yes; that would be something to behold.
Nina tells Valentin that she doesn’t know why she’s so keyed up. This is something she’s wanted her entire life, and she blew it, alienating her daughter on the first try. He tells her to give it time. She asks how long before panic should set in. She can’t look at her phone forever. In perfect soap timing, the phone rings, and it’s Sasha. She says she doesn’t want an audience, and Valentin tells her, good luck. She answers, saying this must be Sasha. She guesses Sasha got her message.
Michael stops Jordan as she’s leaving the MetroCourt. He heard she payed some visits to his father’s house, and questioned him about the explosion. Sonny can obviously take care of himself, but the DA is hounding his grandfather. Jordan says Mike answered all the questions to their satisfaction. Tell Sonny that the case is closed. He’ll know what she means.
Carly and Sonny visit Morgan’s grave. Carly can’t believe another year has come and gone without Morgan. Sonny says he’ll never forget Morgan, and neither will she.
Jason come back home with Sam. She asks if he thinks Danny would like to see a memorial lantern. He thinks it’s a good idea; they can watch it disappear into the sky. He tells her to name the date and time. He’s about to leave, but she asks him to wait. She wants him to stay.
Tomorrow, Laura needs someone’s help, Kim thinks she and Drew should intervene as parents, Oscar tells Josslyn it’s over, and Jason says Sam can tell him anything.
The Real Housewives of Orange County
Emily’s trainer does a session with Emily and Gina. And the dog, who wants in on the action. The trainer leaves and Gina says she’s happy for Shannon. She hopes they can ride on that vibe. She feels like she has to start over every time they meet. Shannon is the sun they all revolve around. Emily is meeting with her fertility doctor. Shane doesn’t want more children, but she’s always wanted another daughter. In her interview, thinking of destroying the embryos breaks her heart. She’ll probably pay for storage for life.
Gina tells Emily that she and Matt are rotating being in the house. It’s not the ideal situation, but okay for now. In her interview, Emily says Gina shouldn’t make this long term. It needs to be a clean break. She tells Gina it’s like a limbo thing. Make it temporary, and after six months or so, she can move on to the next stage. It doesn’t bother Gina to think of Matt dating, but bothers her to be alone. In her interview, she says she’s never been by herself and it’s scary to think of being on her own. She tells Emily that she can’t cry anymore; she can’t afford the wrinkles. Emily says they’ll kick her out of Orange County when they have wrinkle inspection.
Shannon tells Eddie that Shannon is having a celebratory dinner. She has a really hard time saying celebratory, and it keeps coming out celibatory. Eddie is confused, and Tamra says Shannon was only celibate during her marriage. Eddie has to check his heart rate with a device he uses on his phone. In her interview, Tamra explains that an irregular, erratic heartbeat can cause blood to pool, and Eddie could have a stroke. If he doesn’t take medication, it could be deadly. Eddie says he’s back to normal, but then sees possible AFib. In Tamra’s interview, she says when Eddie was first diagnosed, they all said it would be a breeze. Almost a year later, they found out he’d been having heart issues for a long time that he didn’t know about. It’s not life threatening, but life altering. She tells Eddie that he’s too young for it not to be fixed, and he’ll beat it.
Shannon says she just got home from Philadelphia. Server Caitlin is helping to prepare for dinner. Shannon calls herself the moron who invited everyone for dinner. Tamra gets there first, and tells Shannon how good she looks. Emily is next, and in her interview, she says she made an effort to be friendly. Shannon didn’t respond to her text, but Emily is giving her the benefit of the doubt. This is another opportunity to introduce herself. Maybe she should wear a name tag. Tamra is wearing real shoes again. Gina arrives, and marvels over Shannon’s house. Vicki also raves about the house, and says she’s proud of Shannon. Kelly rounds out the group, bringing a bottle of wine. Shannon promises good tequila.
Shannon wishes she’d had more time to prepare. In her interview, Gina says she’s trying hard to be nice and be friends. Just ask how her day was. Interesting. The girls who complain about Shannon all say the same thing – she’s self-centered. Tamra had this same complaint earlier. Everyone tells Shannon she did an amazing job, and they toast. Vicki tells her about trying to order, and getting hung up on twice. Tamra is thinking they need to really celebrate with a girls trip. Vicki suggests the Caribbean. Tamra has never been there. Me neither. Emily suggests the resort where her sister just celebrated an anniversary. We flash back to Vicki renewing her vows in Turks and Caicos. Emily has three kids and will go anywhere. Jamaica is suggested, and In Kelly’s interview, she says she’s looking forward to the food and the herb.
Gina gets sad about a trip she and Matt had booked for Tahiti. She bought a bunch of stuff for the trip, and wants to use it. In her interview, she says that they took good vacations, and she’s losing that privilege of going on vacation as a family. It’s part of the process, but it’s hard to walk through. In her interview, Vicki thinks it’s obvious Gina still has feelings for her husband. She asks Gina if they were good four months ago, but Gina doesn’t want to talk about her relationship problems. Shannon is glad she’s not involved. In Shannon’s interview, she says she’s sorry Gina is getting a divorce, but there’s going to be head butting. She needs to lower her expectations. Kelly says looking back, she made a mistake going back to Michael. Gina says she misses Matt’s family, and starts to cry. She’s scared she won’t see anybody again. Vicki says it will be okay. Emily tells her to go on the trip and have fun. In Emily’s interview, she understands. She loves Shane’s family, and his parents treat her like their own daughter. The group talks about changing with age. Kelly says she’s still the same person – immature.
Dinner is served. Everyone takes a seat. It’s something wants to try for fall or winter, a pork tenderloin dish that looks quite tasty. Kelly says it’s fabulous. Shannon asks who wants a drink. Gina says drinking tequila is probably not the best thing tonight. In her interview, Gina says Shannon has a way of looking right through you. Shannon wants to take some time to decompress. She thanks everyone for being supportive. She’s looking forward to Jamaica.
Kelly takes Jolie to the soup kitchen again. She says the ultimate goal as parent is to teach lessons. She’s trying to be the best parent she can be. She thinks it’s the best thing for the both of them. She’s proud that Jolie wants to help the community. Jolie thinks the food looks better than Kelly’s cooking. She loves doing this, but gets sad to see babies, who will know this their whole lives. Geez. Let’s hope not necessarily. She wants to hug everyone, and cries. Kelly is glad she has such a big heart. For real. All kids her age should be like that. In Kelly’s interview, she says people who grow up with wealth don’t like to see struggle. Jolie has compassion and a huge heart. She doesn’t see anyone as being less than herself. It all comes down to her being a great human being. They help clean up, and Kelly says she needs Jolie to start doing this at home. Kelly shows her how to use the mop and wring it out. In her interview, Kelly says now that she’s divorced, she sees the valuable lessons she didn’t teach as a parent. Jolie doesn’t even know how to clean. Kelly tells her they’re burning calories.
Gina meets Kelly in the park. Kelly says she’s been reading up on Jamaica. She’s fascinated by the history. In her interview, she talks about Jamaica being sold to Britain, and Britain bringing in slaves from Africa. And that’s why it’s primarily African American. Wait. It’s not African American; it’s Jamaican. That was pretty funny. They walk, and Kelly asks how it’s going with Matt. Gina is upset at Shannon, saying Shannon never asks her anything about herself. She doesn’t know if Shannon knows anything about her. Kelly says it took long time for her to get to know Shannon. In Gina’s interview, Gina says that’s not how friendship works. There shouldn’t be a time frame for Shannon to acknowledge her existence. It shouldn’t take this much time for her not to be an a-hole. Kelly says when Shannon is ready to let Gina in, she will. Gina thinks that’s not fair that Shannon gets to decide how much time is enough time before she acknowledges her. Kelly says maybe Gina should open up more on the trip. You get to know people on trips. I’ll bet. That’s why I don’t travel with friends. There are things I probably don’t want to know.
Emily and pipsqueak Shane go out to eat. He actually jokes about wanting a booster seat. I think he’s joking. He ignores her offer of a pillow. Emily tells him she was trying on bathing suits with Tamra, and says, who wants to do that? Shane says he does, and Emily says, never again. She tells him that she’s going to see the fertility doctor. She knows he’s not on board with having more children. He says it’s not in a negative way. In her interview, Emily says Mormons have lot of kids, so you’d think he’d want another. We see a clip of Pary telling her that Shane had always wanted six children. She says they have five; they’re so close. Emily says there will be no more little Emilys, but he doesn’t think it’s right that she keeps pushing him in that direction. She says she’s not pushing. He says he’s being honest and sensible. She says she’s been open about wanting more than one girl. Shane says he wants to be six feet tall, but it’s not going to happen. She wonders what to do with the embryos. It makes her sad. Shane doesn’t know how to answer. In Emily’s interview, she says she knows the kids are exhausting, and she understands. Shane’s reasons are valid and reasonable. Her heart doesn’t agree, but her mind does. She says a surrogate would be another concern, since her sister doesn’t want to do it a second time. Shane suggests she talk to the doctor about the embryos. She can learn what her options are, and maybe he can answer her questions. She agrees that’s a good idea, but doesn’t look happy.
Vicki and Steve are going to Michael’s house for dinner. It’s important for Vicki to blend the kids; they have six between them. She wants them to get to know each other. Steve’s daughter Amanda is coming with her boyfriend. Vicki says it’s been nice getting to know Amanda better. Everyone gets along great.
Michael and girlfriend Danni make drinks in a blender. Vicki is proud of Daniel. He’s the VP of her company, and doing great. She toasts to the first family dinner at Michael’s place. Pug Walter steals a bag of crackers. Vicki says she’s happy with life, pointing out none of them are married, but still happy with their partners. Amanda thinks maybe marriage ruins it. Steve laughs, and Vicki says she told him they’re not dating forever; there has to be an end goal. He says he thought the end goal was being happy. In her interview, Vicki says they need to set an example for the kids. She tells Steve she’d be happier with a ring. He says it’s not like they’re going to have kids. Vicki tells Michael and Danni that they should be pregnant within the next two years. Danni thinks she just wants another dog, and figured they’d have a bunch of Pugs instead of kids. Steve tells Vicki that they’ll have kids when they decide, not when she does.
Emily goes to the doctor with in-laws Larry and Pary. In her interview, Emily says Larry and Pary do everything together. He even waits for her when she gets her hair done. She hopes Shane does that for her someday. I don’t think I’d want my husband waiting for me during a hair appointment, and I definitely wouldn’t want Shane waiting for me. Dr. Long-Last-Name, so we’ll say Dr. N, comes out. Pary goes in with Emily, and Larry watches the kids. In Emily’s interview, she explains that Pary found the doctor through her Persian connections, and got her to the top of the list.
Emily tells Dr. N that she’s at an emotional crossroads. Even before she had children, she’d always wanted more than one girl. She’s close to her sister, and wants that for Annabelle. She says that Shane is opposed to it. The doctor says they have lots of girls among the embryos. He asks if her sister would carry another baby, but Pary says she told them the oven is closed. Emily asks about trying to carry the baby herself, but the doctor says she has, and hasn’t been successful. Emily asks about options. The doctor says if she’s not using them, they can be kept in storage, donated to science, or embryo adoption. As a last resort, they can be destroyed. Emily says the only option that isn’t very emotional is continuing storage. The first time they met, he’d promised she’d have a child, and it was the first time in five years she felt a sense of hope. Dr. N says there are lots of embryos and options, but it starts with Emily and Shane being on the same page. He asks if Shane is persuadable. Emily says he always is, but is it something she wants to try? At some point, they need to go to therapy together.
Shannon meets Kelly for lunch. Kelly says she took a nap, and never does; she’s exhausted. Shannon says she’s still catching up. They talk about packing for the trip. Shannon doesn’t want to put on a bathing suit. Kelly says she did didn’t she in Mexico, and Shannon says it was a mistake. We flash back to Shannon romping in the hot tub in what actually looks like underwear. Kelly tells her that Michael came over. They watched a movie, and had a good time. He texted her, saying it’s nice they can laugh together, and it makes Jolie happy. Shannon says that would never happen with her and David. Kelly says she thought never in a million years. In her interview, Shannon says when she and David separated, it was amicable. They went to football games and family dinners. That’s not the case anymore. It’s breaking the nasty meter.
Shannon asks Kelly if she’s talked to the girls since Friday, and if she talked to Gina about her outburst. My mouth is hanging open. I’d hardly call that an outburst, and compared to some of Shannon’s insane tirades, it was nothing. Kelly tells Shannon that Gina thinks she’s hard to know. Shannon says she and Kelly weren’t friends right off the bat. Kelly says they were frenemies, and Shannon says Gina is twenty-one years younger. She doesn’t know how much they have in common, but she likes Gina. In Shannon’s interview, she says Gina has stirred the pot a few times. We flash back to Shannon stirring the pot, and the divorce/money discussion. Shannon says it doesn’t make her jump for joy to carve out time to get to know Gina. Kelly says doesn’t really know her either.
Shannon says if she hears Emily say she wants to see fun Shannon tonight, she’s going to scream. She’s waiting for fun Emily, since she hasn’t seen it yet. Kelly wonders if Emily is in a bad marriage. Shannon isn’t talking. Last time, she had her ass handed to her when she compared Emily’s marriage to her own. She’s zipping her mouth shut, and keeping her boundaries. Yeah. We’ll see.
Next time, Jamaica, Tamra sees distance with Shannon, and Shannon is a huge bummer. No surprise.
📺 The dudes on Bravo Play by Play took a field trip to TomTom, and it was debatable whether it’s all about the pasta. Kelly Dodd SKYPED in. She has officially brought the word jam back into American slang. I love this show. They often give a voice to the things I’m thinking while watching Bravo. And I have to face the fact that People’s Couch is not coming back, and this is the closest I will get. DaveHolmes once again hit the nail on the head when describing Below Deck’s first primary of the season, returning guest, Steve. He said, Steve is like a Sammy Hagar song that made a wish and became a real boy.

The Walking Dead
Alexandria is being rebuilt, and looking pretty good. Michonne teaches Judith to paint. She and Rick take Judith for a walk. Why does Judith look more like Michonne than Lori or Shane?
Two Alexandrians hang up a zombie scarecrow, but Daryl shoots it in the head with an arrow. Jesus kicks zombie ass outside. Aaron wants to learn, and Jesus says he teaches a class. Zombie Ass Kicking 101? Rick gets a group together to go to DC.
Outside, it’s quiet. A group of zombies meanders up the street, begins to gather. Rick and Michonne gallop by on horses and whack them in the head. King Ezekiel follows, along with some others on horses and a horse pulled cart. Daryl brings up the rear with his motorcycle dudes.
The group does a sweep of a museum. A lone zombie pops up from behind the desk. Oh, it must be government run. Rick says they have their lists. Circle back when they’re done, and be safe. They split into smaller groups. Maggie says it’s going to work. Michonne sees zombies roaming underneath them through a glass floor, and carefully walks across. A zombie plummets over the bannister of an upper floor. Although he’s impaled on something, Daryl finishes him off.
Downstairs, Rick’s group looks around in the dark. Siddiq gets caught under a tarp with a zombie crawling with spiders. He doesn’t like spiders. Apparently even less than he likes zombies.
A zombie ambles toward the chain of human evolution, and becomes the final frame in the display. Daryl helps Cyndie with a canoe, and asks if she’s all right. She was thinking about her brother. They were fighting in a canoe at the county fair. She asks if he has random memories like that. Daryl says most of his memories of his brother involve fighting. He had friends who fought with him, but they didn’t make it.
Rick’s group finds a crate where seeds are being stores. Anne remembered where they were from the days when she was teaching; she brought her class there. Rick tells them to take the lot. Gee, seeds aren’t that heavy; take them all. He wants to get back, and see if the others need help.
Michonne is surprised that Gregory called for an election. Maggie says he had one great idea, but he’s sore about the results. Michonne says, the rebirth of democracy – by that guy. Who’d have thought. Carol says she lives with a king. Maggie says, it works, but there’s something about a vote. She tells them that they have to help the Sanctuary, and Michonne says she’s glad Maggie won.
Rick, Carol, and some others try to get a covered wagon down the stairs, and over the glass floor, which is at the bottom of the staircase. They wheel it slowly off the bottom steps and across the glass. The glass begins to crack, but the zombies don’t notice them. Maggie helps bring down a vintage plow. As the carry it across the glass, it isn’t looking good. Rick says, no sudden moves; nice and slow. Rick, Ezekiel, and Carol take another piece of equipment across. The glass cracks some more, and Ezekiel falls through. The zombies come at him, and latch onto him. He’s tied to a column with a rope that’s rubbing back and forth against the jagged glass. Dangling, Ezekiel kicks at the zombies, who are pulling at him every which way. The others try to pull him back. I’m freaking out, and hopping around in my chair. Daryl tries to use the crossbow, but can’t get a clear hit. Somehow, they get him back up. Carol hugs him, and then kisses him. Whoa. Nothing like romance in the apocalypse. That was rough. I don’t like many characters on this show, but he’s one of them.
The caravan heads back out.
Daryl pikes a random zombie in the head as he drives past it. He circles back to get his pokey stick. A few guys discuss how Daryl never smiles. Ezekiel tells Carol that he was scared back there. Carol was too, but she’s glad he’s okay. He says it made him remember something he’s been taking for granted. You can’t wait on life. He asks her to marry him, and shows her a ring. She tells him, put that thing away; it will snag on everything. She told him not to ask, especially after something like this. He laughs, and says he’ll always love her. He’ll keep it until she’s ready.
They get to a bridge, but a herd has taken it out. Maggie needs to get back to baby Herschel. Rick says, keep an eye on the road. He tells Gabriel to take his group back to Alexandria. The rest will go to Sanctuary and Hilltop, stay overnight, then head out from there. Enid writes bridge out on the sign. Michonne tells Rick the horses can’t pull the wagon in the mud. Ken thinks they need a break. Maggie thinks they should come back, but Michonne isn’t so sure. Rick says they should swap out the horses, while they see what they can do about the trailers. Rick, Michonne, Daryl, and Ezekiel pull the wagon, but zombies toddle out of the woods. They get the wagon past the mud, and Rick tells Daryl and Michonne to take care of business. They load the wagon up with the farm equipment. The horses get nervous and rear up. The plow falls out and breaks apart. Rick tells them leave the wagon. Ken runs back to free the horses, and gets bit. Making sad face.
Siddiq tells him be all right, but no, he’s not. They start to make a tourniquet, but it’s too late. He’s gone. I hate this stupid show. Maggie cries, and I get annoyed that she’s suddenly being a baby.
Back in Alexandria, Maggie visits Ken’s parents, Earl and Tammy. Tammy says she took their boy out there, and now their son is dead. And what do they have to show for it? A broken plow. Maggie tells her they got more than that, but Tammy says the Sanctuary will get it all. Earl tells her to calm down. She says she hates Maggie but asks what kind of man would let this go? Um… a realistic one? Maggie would like to arrange a funeral, but Tammy says they’ll do it, and Maggie is not welcome. Tammy voted for her, but they’re not friends. Gregory was the one who said he put Hilltop first. He’s a scoundrel, but he’s no fool. Their son is dead, and Maggie’s boy has no father. The Saviors eat their food, and take everything Hilltop has bled for. It ain’t right.
Maggie watches as the funeral happens. A guy sings, and says he’s going to miss Ken. The world was a better place for having him in it. They drink to Ken.
Rick and his group arrive at the Sanctuary. Eugene says they all have a well-compiled list that needs attention. Someone asks Daryl if he’s giving a speech, but he says it’s a bad time; they just lost someone. Michonne sees, Saviors save us! We are still Negan, written on the wall. Michonne asks who did this? and Daryl tells a guy to clean it up or paint over it. The guy says they’re running out of paint; they’re finding it all over the place. He doesn’t seem too eager to get rid of it.
At the funeral, Gregory eulogizes Ken, saying, Ken had a good heart; he wasn’t a fighter. He tended to the animals. Regular guys like Ken keep the place going. He’s remembered as a son, a friend, a shining example of Hilltop. The straight face of fundamental decency, even in tragedy. Rest in peace. Jesus says, that was beautiful. Gregory says, it makes think about what you have, and what you’ve lost. He’s grateful for what he has.
Rick shakes hands. Eugene says they need a boost until help comes. Rick says he came with farming equipment, and heirloom seeds. They’re going to look to the past to help them with the present. A dude thanks Rick, and everyone applauds.
Rick asks Daryl, what’s up. Daryl doesn’t want to be there; it doesn’t feel right. He’s always better out there. He always has been. Rick says Daryl put this place together. He kept the people in line. He can’t let the Sanctuary fail. Daryl says it will anyway. It’s a factory; nothing grows. They still need other people to provide. Nothing changed. Rick says they give willingly, but Daryl says, nothing lasts. The bridge is out, and pretty soon, it will take days to ride from one place to another. Everyone is everywhere. When they were a small group at the beginning, they could do anything. That was right, and what he knows. Rick asks if Daryl wants to come to Alexandria, but he wants to go to Hilltop to check on Maggie and the baby. Daryl says they’ll need someone to take his place if he leaves. Eugene is going to Oceanside. The Kingdom has their own problems, and they need help back home. They’re not together because things have changed. Daryl says, he changed them. He gets it. Carol watches. I can’t figure out why, for all his smarts, Eugene couldn’t come up with some kind of hydroponic farming or something.
Gregory offers Ken’s parents a drink. Earl tells Tammy to go ahead; he’s fine. She takes a slug of whiskey. I guess she has a few more slugs, because now he’s putting her to bed. He asks what he’s supposed to do. She wants to be by herself and sleep. He asks if he should leave, but she says, no. He covers her with a blanket, and kisses her. Gregory appears, and offers to sit with her.
Daryl passes a smoke to Carol, who puts it out, saying it will kill him. She says they don’t sleep. Ezekiel sleeps like a baby. Daryl thinks Ezekiel is all right, but he’s corny. Carol is glad she has his approval. Corny is nice, after what she went through with Ed. Daryl is happy for her. He says if anyone deserves happiness, it’s her. He doesn’t like not seeing her. She wants to take over the Sanctuary for a while for him. She says Ezekiel asked her to marry him. Part of her wanted to say yes. Daryl asks, why not? She doesn’t know. She wants to take her time with him. He asks if Ezekiel is coming with her, but she says, no.
Earl tells Gregory his son didn’t need to be out there. He didn’t need to die. Gregory says, no, he didn’t. Earl wants to know, where’s the justice. Gregory says Maggie thinks she’s above the law. The election was a joke. He asks who Earl thinks counted the ballots – her buddy Jesus. A lot of people aren’t happy; they’re just afraid to speak up. She does whatever Rick says, even if it’s not good. Earl doesn’t see what they can do about it. She decides. Gregory says Maggie’s priorities are set, and the decisions she made put his boy in the ground. He’s speaking plainly because he’s angry. He see their lives being treated as the price of doing someone else’s business. Earl says, she’s the leader, and Gregory says, she doesn’t have to be.
Rick washes up, and gets in bed. Michonne calls him the famous Rick Grimes. He tells her not to start. She says don’t let it get to his head. Not today for sure. She wouldn’t want to be Maggie right now. Rick says, no, and she asks if he saw the name on the wall, Did they do the right thing? Sometimes she thinks they should have killed him. Rick thinks about it a lot, but it wouldn’t have changed anything. They don’t want Negan; they want food. Michonne has been thinking maybe they need an agreement between the communities. This is what they believe; this is how they treat each other; this is what happens when they don’t. Rick feels like it’s the right time. She says they couldn’t before; they were always running and fighting. Rick thinks it could pull people closer together; it’s smart. He tells her that Daryl isn’t happy. He’s worried about things breaking down. Michonne says he wouldn’t say anything if it wasn’t important. He cares. Rick says, too much sometimes. Michonne says, if he’s worried, there’s a reason. She wonders what they do, and Rick says they need to fix the bridge. She adds, and get the people to agree to a charter. He says, not constitution? and she says, charter. He says, okay; tomorrow. He feels lucky that he found her, and Michonne says they both lost enough. It’s time they won a little. They get busy, and she calls him the famous Rick Grimes again.
Maggie pushes Herschel’s stroller. Gregory sees her, and says, tough night. He’s been there, and he’s sorry. He knows it hasn’t been easy. She won fair and square, and was a worthy adversary. The election forced him to do some soul searching. Maggie says, it’s hard, not knowing where your place is. He can have one if he wants. He tells her when they were burying Ken, he didn’t want to say anything, but it looked like someone defaced Glenn’s grave. It was probably an accident, or kids who didn’t know any better. He hopes it wasn’t someone angry about the election, but it’s probably no big deal. She can check it tomorrow. Maggie jets.
A hooded figure ambushes her. She struggles with him, and Enid comes running to help, but gets knocked out. A bunch of people grab him, and pull his hood back. It’s Earl. Gregory asks what happened, like he doesn’t know. Maggie says he tried to have her killed because he’s too chicken sh*t to do it himself. He says she wants to ruin it. He built this place. It wouldn’t exist without him. She’s just Rick’s lackey. Maggie says Rick is her friend and mentor. He says she can’t go back because you-know-who is still there. She can’t believe after all the chances she gave him. He tries to stab her, but she gets the better of him.
Carol says goodbye to Ezekiel. She tells him that she’s not running away. He feels like she is, and wonders if he pushed too hard. She say her friends need her help. She has a home to come back to, and that’s enough for her for now. Ezekiel says he’ll be content to move at her speed, calling her Lady Carol. They kiss, and he says it’s such sweet sorrow. Carol tells Jerry to take care of him for her, just for a little bit. Ezekiel and Jerry gallop off.
Rick, Michonne, and Daryl drive in to Hilltop. Rick holds baby Herschel. Maggie calls Herschel a little stinker, and Rick says he’s perfect. She thinks she’ll keep him. She puts the baby in the playpen. Rick says they’re going on runs again. She should visit Alexandria sometime. Judith talks about her a lot. He’s surprised she still remembers, but she does. He tells her that he needs her help in fixing the bridge. Hilltop is thriving; they’re better than anywhere else. She’s been generous, and given so much already, but he’s asking for more. The Sanctuary is still short, and the project will take a lot of people and supplies. He’s hoping she can be generous again. Maggie says, no more supplies without getting something back. If the Sanctuary needs food, she’ll give it to them, but in return, they provide the labor and fuel from their dead corn. Rick says, they’re barely holding on. Maggie wonders why he feels obliged to help. They surrendered, and weren’t killed. They can’t solve all their problems when there things here to deal. He’s sorry about what happened with her and Enid. She says she’s survived worse, but it has to stop. It changes now. She says it will be dark soon; it’s time to put the kids to bed.
It’s nighttime, and Gregory stands on a gallows, a horse underneath him, and a noose around his neck. Maggie says she doesn’t want to do this, but people need to understand, at Hilltop, the punishment fits the crime. She asks if he has any final words. Gregory begs for somebody to stop this. Killing him in the dead of night. She should be ashamed. It’s wrong. Maggie says she’s not ashamed. She nods and Daryl moves toward the gallows. Gregory starts wailing, stop! Suddenly, a couple of little kids are there. Michonne starts to run to the front, but Rick grabs her. Daryl slaps the horse, and Gregory hangs, swinging from the rope. Maggie tells them to get the children back in bed. She made this decision, but it’s not the beginning of something. She doesn’t want to go through it again. Rick looks at Ken’s parents. He tells Daryl to cut Gregory down. Daryl cuts the rope, and Gregory’s body drops to the ground.
Next time, rebuilding the bridge, Daryl wonders if they’re on the same side. Michonne wants rules, and Negan says they’re not saving the world, just getting it ready for him. Glad he’s still feisty.
👄 On Talking Dead, director Greg Nicotero said this season would have more of a Western movie feel, which was the original idea, with Rick being a sort of cowboy. They also talked about the new opening, and I watched that a second time. It definitely gives the vibe of a modern Western.
💍 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days – or as I like to call it, you all deserve each other – concludes its season next week. I have a lot to say about it, and am working on my dissertation as we speak. And luckily, just around the corner, are all new couples on 90 Day Fiancé, the original. This show has so many spin-offs, it could have its own channel. Which would be okay with me.

General Hospital
Franco brings Aiden to the hospital. Elizabeth thanks him for picking Aiden up. The nurse says he wasn’t feeling well. Aiden can’t tell her what’s going on, so she says they’ll get him checked out.
Cameron visits Josslyn. She asks if he’s seen Oscar. He says, no, and it’s lucky the homeroom teacher doesn’t take attendance or even notice who’s there; he’s skipped out twice today for her. She says he said he’d help her get Oscar back, and she’s figured out way.
Drew tells Oscar to chill. Oscar says he’s sick of waiting, literally. Drew thinks he should talk to his mother. When Kim asks, what about? Oscar says he quit. He’s not going back to school. What’s the point? He doesn’t want to waste the time he has left.
Griff and Kiki are still kissing at the gym.
Maxie tells Peter that they work in the same building. He doesn’t need to avoid her. He says he’s not; he has to get back to work. She asks if he doesn’t have a cell phone, and insists he is avoiding her. He says he’s been busy with the reboot of The Invader, but she knows Lulu told him to stay away. She gets that, but doesn’t get why he agreed.
Danny asks if Jason loves mommy. Jason says he loves mommy very much. Sam overhears.
Kiki tells Griff that she was going to skip boxing and go to yoga. He asks if it’s him she’s running from, but she says she’s not running. She told him that she wanted to remain friend, but in the back of her mind, she knew what it was like to be with him, and wanted it again. Griff says he was committed to make a reconciliation with Ava, but his heart wasn’t in it. He couldn’t stop thinking about her. Kiki wonders what that means they should do.
Oscar asks if Kim wouldn’t mind him skydiving, and Drew tells her it’s sarcasm. Oscar is clearly his kid. Oscar says he doesn’t want to go, and why should he? Kim says, normalcy of life, his friends are there, and he’s always liked academics. He says that’s when he thought he’d be going to college. Why not use the time to read whatever he wants? Sleep late, and go hiking while he still can. He’s not a doctor, but he can do research online. The tumor he has, is as bad as it gets. She tells him that he can’t believe everything he reads, and everyone is unique. If he wants to take it day by day, fine, but he can’t lose hope. The trial is promising. He says, when it doesn’t kill the patient.
Cameron sees a bunch of balloons, and says, balloons again? Josslyn says they’re significant; symbolic. She wants to remind Oscar of their anniversary. Cameron says, when Oscar didn’t show up? Josslyn says he was in the hospital. It turned out fine; he recovered. She’s not convinced the break-up is real.
Peter tells Maxie that she’s still vulnerable and hurting, and Lulu pointed out that his presence in her life will make it worse. Maxie says she can speak for herself. He tells her Lulu was just being a good friend, and is happy they’ve reconnected; don’t blame her. Maxie says she knows Lulu meant well. She doesn’t like Lulu speaking for her though, and doesn’t know why he went along with it. Being stuck in the elevator when he had the panic attack was a bonding experience. He tells her that she’s one of the only friends he’s ever had, and he messed it up. If keeping his distance helps her, he’ll accept it. She says, what if she doesn’t want that?
Danny asks Jason if mommy loves him, but Jason says he’ll have to ask mommy. Sam comes back with snacks, and tells Danny that Monica is coming to pick him up. Danny asks if he’s staying overnight, and Sam says he is. He says there’s a problem. His castle isn’t finished; the pieces got mixed up. Jason says he can help Danny put it together, and Danny adds, when he’s at grandma’s house. I laugh. Slick kid. Sam says Jason will be sorry he said that.
Maxie tells Peter that she’s not saying Lulu is wrong, but she and Lulu have been through a lot together, and not all of it pleasant. Maybe it’s Nathan’s influence, but she finds it harder to hold on to anger than to forgive. He asks if she means Lulu or him. She says she forgave Lulu. Her and Peter’s elevator experience was awkward, but she wanted to help him; from one human to another.
Elizabeth tells Aiden that his temperature is normal, and asks how his tummy is. He says, not so great. Franco says he was feeling good when they indulged in mud pie mayhem. Elizabeth asks if something happened at school. Aiden says, lunch was gross, and Franco says, no surprise. Elizabeth tells Aiden to rest, and asks Franco to get a ginger ale for him.
Josslyn tells Cameron that she’s staging an anniversary do-over. She’s decorating the bench again, but this time he’ll see it done right. Cameron thinks it’s over-the-top, but she says that’s because he doesn’t care about things like that. She could decorate ten benches, and he wouldn’t notice; Oscar would. She knows he still cares about her, but she doesn’t know what’s going on. Since he’s not responding to her texts, Cameron can get him there. Cameron asks, how? and she tells him, figure it out. When he gets there, she wants Cameron to take off. She wants to remind Oscar of how it felt. Like when he was at the hospital, and he showed her the video he made. Feelings don’t go away. She tells Cameron that if he meant it when he said he’d help, text Oscar to meet him in the park.
Oscar asks Kim if she was planning on telling him how the trial killed someone. Drew says they were advised of the risks. Kim says it’s important to get him enrolled, and ensure a spot. Oscar says she’s grabbing at the trail like a life preserver. Kim says despite the trial’s setback, it’s promising. No treatment works for everyone, but give it a chance to work for him. Oscar snarks that he’s so lucky. Drew says medical treatment is just part of it. He needs to stay positive; his mindset makes a difference. Kim says, the mind is a powerful weapon. Being positive can only help. Oscar asks if she doesn’t think he wants to hope. She lied for two years because she already knew he was going to die.
Sam and Jason try to put the castle together. Sam says it has a million pieces that have to be put in the exact right order. You have to be patient and meticulous, and he’s both. She tells him the problem is, Danny opened all the packages, but she has no idea where the directions are. Jason says they’d better get to work.
Griff tells Kiki, whatever’s next is up to them. She says, two cowards, dancing around their feelings. He must have a lot of faith in them. He says he does. There’s no stopping how far it goes. She says too bad they can’t go to a beach, and reenact the scene in From Here to Eternity. Griff has no clue about the film, and she explains the scene (google it if you don’t know either), and he asks if they had an interfering mother. Kiki says, no; only the start of World War III. He says they got off easy. Kiki says Ava has done what she can to hurt them. They might as well do what they want. Griff agrees, and wonders why they’re still talking. They kiss.
Peter tells Maxie that she was compassionate, and she says, you don’t just watch someone gasp for breath and scream. He says he did not scream, did he? She says when she found out he was Faison’s son, and he’d been lying about who he was, she was incredibly angry and hurt. The more time passed, she thought less about the lies, and more about how much he’d supported her. He helped her give birth. What’s more important than that? Peter says it’s the most significant thing he’s ever done. She says she thought about how many people forgave her, and it’s the only way to pay it forward.
Cameron tells Josslyn, if Oscar doesn’t show, she’ll feel worse. She says she’ll feel worse if she doesn’t try. Her dad taught her that. You only really fail if you give into fear. You quit before start. Cameron asks what about her pride and dignity. She asks if he’s kidding. Is he going to help or not? Text Oscar.
Oscar tells Kim that he spent all night looking for a reason to hope. He only found reasons not to. Kim asks if he saw where it helped. Tumors shrunk. He says, that’s not a cure. Drew says if it can extend his life, he has a chance for a cure. Oscar says he doesn’t want to sit around pumped up with medicine. If the treatment doesn’t work, it could kill him faster.
Sam tells Jason she’ll look for the directions. Jason says they can figure it out. She says he’s dealing with the easy part now. It gets more difficult. He says they have to solve their own puzzle and mystery; her specialty she puts together litt person figured it out Jason puts them in a cube and say don
Kiki tells Griff that they’ll be asked to leave if they keep it up, and suggest they go back to her place. He wants to, but he also wants to make sure they’re doing this for the right reason; not just uncontained lust. Kiki asks what’s wrong with that, and he says he doesn’t want regrets. They’re better than that. He wants to get know each other, without the specter of Ava. Create something they can make last. She thinks it sounds good, and asks what he has in mind.
Peter says, not that Maxie has no right to her anger, but it’s a heavy burden. He’s glad she’s letting it go, so she can get back to being her, unencumbered. James deserves it. Maxie says she looks at his little face, and she doesn’t want to hold on to anything ugly. She wants only good for him. Peter says James is part of his family, and hopes she can find it in her heart to let him visit. Maxie thinks James should know uncle, and it’s a good place for them start. He says, something to look forward to besides murder and mayhem. He says he’s been taking the stairs. She’s glad he’s seen a doctor, and asks if it was PTSD from being held captive, or something else entirely.
Sam tells Jason he clearly has a gift. He says it wasn’t too hard, and she tells him not to rub it in. With the last one, she had the directions, and followed them, and still couldn’t get it to look like the one on the box. Danny didn’t care though, and said hers was cooler than the one on the box. And he meant it. Jason says she’s good at improvising, and they so at each other.
Oscar says Kim got to decide how he lived up to now. Now it’s his turn. Kim tells him not to make decisions based on anger. In the span of 24-hours, he’s quit school and broken up with Josslyn. Drew asks, why? and Oscar says, so many girls, so little time. Drew says, that’s not why.
Josslyn says Oscar didn’t text back, even though he didn’t know it was her. Cameron asks if she sees why it’s a bad idea. She asks what the alternative is, and he says, move on. She says, after a year, and finding Oscar’s long lost father together? She was tough on Oscar when her mom was in Ferncliff, and he never gave up on her. She can’t give up on him. Cameron asks if when she was pushing him away, if she ever actually told him to go away. Oscar did. He made it clear he doesn’t want to be with her. She says you can’t just go from love to breaking up for no reason. Cameron says, there is a reason.
Kim says Oscar is pushing people away that care. He thinks he can spare Josslyn from her boyfriend being sick. Oscar says he doesn’t want her waiting, every minute terrified he’s going to die. Putting every minute into saving him. She should be enjoying herself, not looking up holistic remedies and making kale smoothies. She’s happy now, and he wants her to stay that way. Drew says Oscar thinks he’s doing Josslyn a favor, but he couldn’t be more wrong.
Maxie doesn’t want to pry. Peter says since she talked him down, she has the right to know what caused it. Obrecht was a part of it. Being tied down for a week messed with his head, but some of it was from when he was a kid. Maxie can’t imagine what it was like. Peter says he thought he’d pass out; it’s happened before. It’s ancient history, and it should have been over it. Maxie says she can’t help if he won’t talk about it. He says he was seven. He didn’t know how to swim, and his father decided to take matters into his own hands. He threw Peter into the deep end of the pool. It was sink or swim, and he sank. When he came to, he was on the concrete. Triggers bring him underwater again, and he can’t breathe. Maxie says she’s sorry, and he says, don’t be; he survived. She says, no thanks to his father. What Faison did to him should never have happened.
Elizabeth tells Franco that she knows when Jake and Cameron are faking being sick, but even if Aiden knew how, what would be his motive? Hiding from a test? He does well in school. She wonders if she’s worried about nothing. I’m thinking Aiden has Princess Calenda-itis.
Kim says Josslyn is crazy about Oscar, and he feels the same way. Eventually, she’s going to find out. Oscar says he’ll be gone by then. Drew says he’s not thinking it through. He thinks he’s sparing her in some way, but think of how she’ll feel when she finds out, and knows he didn’t want to tell her. He didn’t trust her enough to be there, or worse, didn’t want her help. Kim tells him not to do this to himself. Make things right with Josslyn. Give himself that comfort. He leaves, and Kim wonders if she got through.
Josslyn says Cameron has to tell her if he knows. Cameron says, all he knows is, Oscar is an idiot. She’s put himself first, and dumped her without even trying to explain. Josslyn says it’s like he’s trying to make her hate him. Cameron asks if it’s working, but Josslyn says, no. She gets angry with Cameron, and tells him, just go, but then tells him to wait. She doesn’t agree with everything he said, but she’s sorry for going off on him. He accepts her apology, and says he’s sorry she’s going through this. She says if Oscar texts back, let her know.
In the hallway at the hospital, Oscar sees the message asking him to meet Cameron in the park. There’s a second one says he needs to see Oscar now. 911.
Jason is finished, and says, it’s not really a castle. No, it’s not. It looks more like an apartment building. Sam says, to Danny it is. He says it’s a collaboration. Sam thinks Danny will wreck it in ten minutes tops. Jason says they’ll put it back together as many times as Danny wants. He doesn’t mind. He likes working with her.
Griff asks if Kiki remembers the film festival, and she says she’s the one who invited him. She says it will make them feel cosmopolitan, but if it gets boring, they can just make out. He says, it’s a date.
Aiden is feeling better, and Elizabeth says she’ll get his homework. He says he doesn’t need it, since he might be sick tomorrow.
Cameron sees Oscar at the hospital. Oscar says he was on his way out, but had to wait. Cameron says he was just with Josslyn, and she’s suspicious that Oscar broke up with her for no reason. He can’t keep this up. Oscar says he promised he wouldn’t tell, but Cameron says he didn’t promise anything. Oscar told him to keep his mouth shut, but he’s not lying. Oscar has to tell her the truth.
Josslyn looks at pictures of her and Oscar on MyFace. She sends him a message, asking what’s going on, but she’s blocked. Then his status changes to single. Um… I think if she was blocked she wouldn’t be seeing a status update, but okay. She wonders what he’s doing, and says, it’s all wrong.
Cameron asks what Oscar just did. He says he blocked Josslyn, and updated his status to single. He has to make her stop hoping. It will be easier to hate him when he goes. Cameron asks if he’s trying to hurt her.
Drew tells Kim that Oscar is pissed, and he can’t blame him. Kim knows that, and knows he feels under attack. He’s afraid. He’s good and smart, and will come to his senses, and realize the trial is his best chance. It is, isn’t it? Drew hopes so.
Maxie tells Peter that she has to confess. Since they got stuck, she hasn’t ridden the elevator. He asks if she didn’t want to get trapped with an awful stranger. She says, what if they ride together. Peter says, no, but she says she’ll trust him if he trusts her. She gets in the elevator, and he follows. She takes his hand.
Jason asks if Sam really thinks it will only last ten minutes. She says, maybe one hour tops. He tells her to let him know when she wants to rebuild. She asks if he’s sure. If one piece gets lost, it could be hours. He says they’ll improvise; she’s good at that. She thanks him for staying, and he says, any time. She kisses his cheek, and they move in for a real kiss.
On Monday, Jordan says they’re dropping the investigation, Mike tells Sonny about the gun, and Jason and Sam get busy.
Z Nation
Last we left, Roberta had taken off in a drone, and it crashed.
The drone crash lands. It opens, and Roberta gets out. she sees the black rainbow in the sky, and realizes she’s wounded. She slowly makes her way across a field. She takes the tarp from some covered bodies to shield herself from the sun. She sees a farmhouse, but keels over before she gets there.
A farmer stands over her, and blurs out. A semi-conscious Roberta is on a pseudo surgical table. A man says he thought he lost her.
She wakes in a bedroom. She walks downstairs. Her clothing has been changed to either a really nice nightgown, or an understated formal gown. She sees pictures of the man and his family. The man is making breakfast. She peeks in on him. He asks if she’s hungry, and starts setting the table. She jumps when he moves toward her, and he tells her that he keeps the door unlocked. She asks where she is, and he says his farm. He found her on the ridge. He tells her that she’s a pretty thing, and he used to be a medic. He says she’s right to be careful. Roberta finds out she’s been there two weeks. He says she’s safe there, but Roberta says she’s not safe anywhere. She asks if he’s the only one, and he says, for some time now. Sarah and Claudette are gone. He’s Cooper. Roberta says she’s sorry, and he says she must be starved. Hopefully the food has minimal radiation, grown by him. He asks what she was doing out by herself. She wonders how he knows she’s by herself, and he tells her that he can look out for five miles; no one is there. She tells Cooper that she crashed her car; that’s how she got injured, and it’s totaled. Well, that’s kind of the truth. He tells her that she bled a lot, and serves her some spinach to help with blood loss. She thanks him for sewing her up, and he asks where she was headed. She says, Newmerica, and he says it’s been a while since he heard that. A lot of people used to come through, but not since the black rain. As far as he can tell, they might be the only ones left alive.
A woman runs from three zombies, but hits a cliff. Doc is… a zombie? She draws her gun to shoot herself, and Doc tells her don’t, apparently just pretending. Or rather, trying to fit in. Doc kills two real two zombies, and grabs her. They run into the woods, and Doc dispatches zombies with a hammer. He meets up with 10k, Sergeant Lilley, and Murphy. 10K tells Doc it’s his best makeup yet. Doc says, tell the artiste. Say my name; say my name. Doc says, it better come off. A few zombies show up, and mini Operation Bitemark takes care of them. Murphy asks if one of the zombies just said no. He pokes it, and says it’s not a living human; that’s good? Doc says, it’s getting harder to tell. The group they’ve been leading comes out and joins them.
Doc asks if everybody is okay, and if they can get food and water for the newcomer. Murphy complains about having another mouth to feed. Doc says, Newmerica, here we come.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch farm, Cooper says Roberta is hurting his feelings, and asks if she doesn’t like his cooking. Roberta says it’s great, but she just isn’t hungry. He says she’s suffered lot of trauma. It might take a while to feel like her old self. She’s not sure what that means. Al Jarreau’s Nothing At All is playing, and Roberta says she likes his musical taste. He says music saved his ass; it gets quiet out there. She asks how long it’s been since he was alone, and he says, over a year; how about her? She traveled alone the whole way? Even zombies aren’t safe. She says she has some friends who are probably looking for her. He says, if they’re still alive.
Roberta looks out over the farm. Nothing is moving, so she goes outside, grabbing a shovel and gloves. She watches Cooper working, and joins him in creating rows for the crops. They work quietly side by side
Murphy tells Doc, Granny don’t look so good. He could swear she coughed up a hairball. Doc is worried she won’t make it, and the others aren’t too much better. Murphy says if they weren’t talking, he’d swear they were Z’s. Just die already. Doc says it’s been like this ever since the black rain. Murphy asks why it’s always their fault, and Doc says because they do stupid sh*t. Once the others are safe in Newmerica, they’ll be someone else’s problem. Murphy wants to track down Roberta, and Doc says they don’t know if she’s alive. Murphy says, she is. They have a special bond. They’ve shared bodily fluids. Doc says, ew-ew! and tells Murphy that he’s not leaving them. Murphy says he might.
Roberta sees a zombie coming up the road. She tells Cooper to be careful. He moves to shoot it, and it holds its hands up in a defensive way. He says, that was strange; has she ever seen that? Roberta says, she’s afraid. Cooper asks, of what? Dying? Roberta whacks her with a hoe, but she keeps going. Cooper says, have mercy, and shoots her.
Roberta serves Cooper dinner, saying, take note; it’s a rare sight. He says, duly noted. He makes a toast – may you have all you want, and want all you have. They dance. They kiss. Fade to black.
A sign says, Newmerica 452 miles – Apocalypse 3 miles. Murphy tells Doc this is where he gets off. Doc asks if he’s sure, and Murphy says if it was the other way around, Roberta would be looking for him. Doc guesses this is goodbye. Murphy tells him, like everything else in the apocalypse, it’s temporary. They’ll meet up. Doc says, take care of your red self, and Murphy says, people love him; he’s adorable. Murphy puts on his shades, and starts walking.
Roberta watches Cooper sleeping. She looks out the window, and there’s nothing moving. Cooper joins her, and tells her that she’s beautiful. She asks if he believes in fate, and he says he does now. She says it’s been a long time since someone’s arms were around her who wasn’t trying to kill her. He says it looks like the universe has given them a second chance. He doesn’t want to lose it. Neither does she.
Driving now, Doc tells the others shouldn’t be long now; they’ll be in Newmerica. Assuming it’s really there. One of the group says now that the coughed up blood, they don’t feel as bad. Another says, it’s the worst cold ever. Lilley says, Granny is missing. Doc calls for Mrs. Magilicutty, and 10K says, found her! and she’s eating some brains out of a head. Her son tells her, put that down, but she says she needs it bad. 10K doesn’t think she should be doing that. Her son takes the head from her, saying, let’s leave this here, and leads her away. She wonders what’s happening to her. She doesn’t know why she did that.
Roberta tells Cooper that he seems worried, and he says he is. He tilled enough food for one, if he’s lucky. She says they can till more, but he says they can’t do by hand. They need a tractor. She asks if there’s one nearby, and he says, ten miles. She asks if he’s got a car, but he doesn’t. She says it they double-time it, they can get there in a couple of hours on foot. If they’re lucky, they’ll ride back. He says it could be dangerous; infested with zombies. Roberta says, let’s hustle. He likes it.
Murphy sees zombies who have been in a fender bender. He says he’s looking for friend. One of the zombie’s brains are exposed, and Murphy eats a piece. He can see the drone crashing, and looks in that direction. He thanks the zombie for his help.
Cooper tells Roberta there used to be a lot working there; keep her eyes open. They don’t see anything, and Roberta thinks maybe they wandered off. He hopes the tractor starts, and she tells him that she can hotwire a space shuttle. He tells her, do it quietly. They don’t want to attract unwanted guests. He tells her to get it started, and he’ll hit the tiller. He sees zombies scrabbling underneath, and unhooks it. Half-zombies scramble after him, and one gets ahold of him. Roberta aims, but a full zombie grabs her from behind. Cooper throws off the zombie, shoots it, and shoots the one who has Roberta. Another comes up behind Cooper, and Roberta gets that one. A whole flock of them move in, and they knock off a few, and climb into the tractor. Cooper tells her to start the engine, and the zombies get shredded by the tiller. Roberta and Cooper smile at each other as they drive away. I’m smiling too. After nearly having a heart attack.
Murphy reaches the drone, and a bird flies out, nearly giving him a heart attack. He calls for Roberta, and sits on the drone, yelling, yee-ha! like he’s in a rodeo. He finally says, you find me; I’m right here. It’s starting to get dark and the cheese Murphy stands alone. A very deteriorated zombie toddles up. Murphy says he’s looking for a woman friend of his, grabs the zombie, and tells it. zombie focus up. Did it see the woman? Its jaw falls off, and Murphy says, sh*t. The zombie tries to talk. He eats a little of its brains, asking if it saw her. Then he asks why it didn’t say so in the first place. Which way did she go? Is it sure? He says, thanks buddy. Lightening starts to flash.
Doc tells 10K he smells sweet, fresh air. They must be close, Lilley rides with the others in the bed of the truck. One of them asks, are we there yet? and she says, a little father. Doc and 10K see something. 10K asks if that’s it. Doc says it’s smaller than he expected. Two people sit in front of a makeshift shack, covered in campaign posters and surrounded by junked cars and other things that should be in a dump. Doc tells the others stay put while they check it out.
A guy says, greetings stranger. Doc asks if it’s Newmerica, and he says, not yet; they ain’t voted. 10K asks, who is we? and he says, anyone still alive and talking. Doc asks what they’re voting for, and he says their lives. He says it looks like they’ve been on the road a while, and Doc says, the whole damn apocalypse. Granny tries to grab one of the others, and Doc and 10K separate them. There’s a melee with a few of the group, and one of the guys says, somebody didn’t get biscuits. A Rocker Chick stops him from shooting Granny. She takes a cookie out of her bag, and feeds to Granny, who settles down. She tells them they can let Granny go now. Granny hugs her, and Rocker Chick asks how long she’s been dead. Doc says they just thought she was sick; she’s talking. Rocker Chick says, no; she’s dead, and so are those two. They’re talkers. Since the black rain, people don’t just die and turn. Their bodies are dead, but their souls are conscious. They don’t just walk now; they talk. Cool! I’m very psyched for this.
Roberta splits logs. She opens the door to one of the barns, and sees a car inside. She looks through the window, and there’s a zombie inside. Cooper comes up behind her. She sidles past him, and runs out. Yeah, I think I know what’s coming. The zombie bangs on the car window.
Roberta asks if it’s Cooper’s wife and daughter in there. He says before the black rain, things got bad. His daughter, Claudette, got sick, and his wife couldn’t stand to see her suffer. He didn’t know how much Sarah was suffering too. When he was off looking for medicine, Sarah put their daughter in the car, drove into the barn, and left the engine on. That’s the way he found them when he got home. Roberta asks, why? Why are they still in there? Why hasn’t he mercied them? He says he wanted to think he’d find a cure. They were beautiful and conscious, and he couldn’t. He can’t. Roberta drops the ax in her hand, and says let her do this for him. She takes his gun from the holster, and says let her do it for them. He takes out his other gun, and goes into the barn. Roberta waits outside. We hear two gunshots.
Rocker Chick hands out cookies, saying there’s plenty for everyone. 10K is about to put one in his mouth, and she says he probably doesn’t want to eat one, unless he’s dead. Doc asks what’s in them. Rocker Chick says, nobody knows for sure, and nobody wants to know. Rumor has it, there are trace amounts of brains in them. It keeps the zombies happy, but eat enough of them, you’ll be one. Doc asks Granny how they taste, and she says, metallic; needs a little more sugar. Doc asks Rocker Chick if she’s the woman on the posters, and she says, everyone keeps saying that. She introduces herself as George, and introduces Lieutenant Dante; he’s dead. Doc says they’ve traveled a long way to get to Newmerica. Tell him this ain’t it. George says it doesn’t exist – yet. It’s just an idea. There are just outposts, trying to make it on their own, but they can’t. They’re voting on a constitution to make it a new nation. Doc asks if you have to be a citizen to vote, and George says anyone can become one. Lt. Dante says, you don’t even have to be alive. Doc is ready to sign up. She says the biggest outpost, Altura, is up the road; she has friends there. She says, anyone else want to be part of something great? Granny says, she can vote, even though she’s dead? Everyone is in. George tells them, united we live; divided we turn. Doc says she is the woman on the poster, and George smiles, saying she’ll show them the way.
Cooper lights a funeral pyre. The bodies burn. Cooper puts his arm around Roberta, and they walk away from the fire.
Murphy thanks Bob for his service. He thinks he has it from here. He sees the smoke from the cremation in the distance.
Next time, a biscuit a day keeps the zombies at bay, and trace amounts of brains are an acquired taste. I’m loving it so far.

Carly comes downstairs and tells Jason that Mike is playing with Avery. Jason asks if he’s told her anything else. She says, about the gun or Croton? No. Jason wonders if Mike remembers what he told them. Carly asks what they should do, and he says, wait for Sonny. If Mike doesn’t tell him, one of them will. Carly thinks it should be Mike. It will help give Sonny closure. The house phone rings. At first, Carly says, tell her he’s not here, but then changes it to, send her up. Jason asks if it’s the DA, and she says, worse. She opens the door to Ava. She asks what Ava wants, and Ava says, her daughter of course.
Kristina comes downstairs, and Sam says, that’s the sister she knows, who stays out late like she sleeps in. She asks Kristina how the concert was, and Kristina says she doesn’t want to know.
Nina tells Maxie that she was right the whole time. Her daughter is alive. Maxie asks her to stop doing this, but Nina says she has proof. Her daughter is alive.
Peter sees Griff hitting the bag at the gym. Peter asks if that’s how he should treat a surgeon’s hands, but Griff says he doesn’t have to worry about doing any surgery. Peter says he heard Griff was suspended. Griff tells him it’s because of the unauthorized DNA test he ran on Peter.
Finn walks into the examining room to find his father with Chase. Gregory says he finally has his two boys to himself.
Not-Doc tells Felicia he’s grateful to get her all to himself. She says, what a coincidence. She was dying for some one-on-one time with him. She couldn’t talk at lunch with Lucy hovering. He tells her, nothing happened. Nobody died, and his marriage is safe. He asks what she wanted to talk about, and she says, about Ryan. What happened was horrible, but they have no reason to hide. They can be honest, and not sugarcoat. He agrees, and she can’t remember the last time they discussed it. He buried his brother literally, and buried him inside; it’s like pulling teeth. He doesn’t think they need to resort to creative dentistry just yet. She says they’re the only ones who really know what a horror show he was, and can tell the gruesome truth.
Maxie asks who told Nina that her daughter was alive. Nina says, Valentin, and Maxie makes a disgusted sound. Nina says he spoke to her mother. She said Nina had the baby, and didn’t miscarry. Her mother was afraid her baby girl would get her inheritance, and arranged for a black market adoption. Maxie tells her that Valentin specializes in lies, but Nina says, he’s not the one who found her. It was Curtis. He loves her, and would never lie. Maxie asks if he actually met her. Nina says, not only that; he had a DNA test run, and the test confirmed it. She shows Maxie the picture of Sasha.
Peter tells Griff, for what it’s worth, the hospital didn’t find out from him. Griff says he didn’t think so. He knows who did, and it doesn’t matter. It was illegal, immoral, and unethical. Peter says, and it didn’t even feel good. His sad attempt at a joke. Griff says he’s a bad audience right now. He did what he could, and he’s grateful Anna was okay with it. Peter tells him that Anna got a lead on Obrecht. Griff knows, and says Anna isn’t stopping until she knows he’s safe.
Ava has brought Avery’s ballet things, since she has class today. Carly says Avery is in a meeting and not taking visitors. She’s hosting an important tea party with her grandfather. Ava hopes not alone, and Carly says she’ll never know, and thanks her for dropping by. Jason says he’ll walk her out, and Ava asks if he realizes if it wasn’t for her, he’d be a zombie in Russia or dead. Carly wants to hear how she saved him again, and Jason says she gave him a paper clip. Ava says she gave him back to his family, and gave his family back to him. This is how he thanks her? He says he gave her the formula to get her face back. She says, his life and her face makes them even? Jason says Morgan was his godson, and they’ll never be even. She snarks about what a wholesome environment Sonny maintains for Avery, and Carly tells Jason to go. She’s looking forward to catching up with Ava. He leaves, and Carly says she’s impressed by Ava’s composure. It must be tough that the whole town knows Griff dumped her for Kiki.
Maxie asks Nina how Curtis found her daughter, and Nina says, lawyers, black market adoptions and channels. She was raised by a single mom, and her mom has passed on. Maxie says it can’t be confirmed then. Nina tells her that Curtis said Sasha didn’t want to believe it, but he talked into a DNA test. He had it done at two different labs, and just got a confirm on the second. Sasha is her daughter. Maxie is happy for her, and asks when Nina is meeting her. Nina says, that’s not happening.
Not-Doc appreciates Felicia’s concern, but all this talk has had little affect on him. She asks how that’s possible. She’s been swamped with interview requests. He’s Ryan’s twin. Why wouldn’t they be more curious about him? He says he’s counting it as a blessing, and leaving it at that. He’ll be fine. She says he wasn’t fine for years. Has he forgotten about his breakdown He says, of course not, but it was a long time ago. He doesn’t live in that headspace anymore. Felicia wants to make sure he’s taking care of himself, and has a way to protect them both.
Gregory says he’s surprised Finn became a doctor. He didn’t like messy, and even cleaned his utensils a second time before eating. Chase says suggests the talk about Gregory. Gregory says he’s been to countless doctors. One suggested he had MS, but MS doesn’t disappear when you take antibiotics. Finn asks if antibiotics help, and Gregory says, temporarily. He tells Chase not to worry. The one thing his brother hates worse than him is failure. Finn says he doesn’t hate him, and Chase suggests Finn channel his energy into figuring out what’s wrong with Gregory.
Jason visits Sam. He asks how Kristina is, and she thanks him again for saving her life. He’s just glad she’s okay. She says maybe not okay, but she’s working on it. She has to leave, and tells Sam, feel free to make use of the privacy. Sam rushes her out.
Carly tells Ava that she’s a bit baffled as to why she put Griff on the stand. A woman as insecure as she is, letting the public know sleeping with her daughter. It’s not first time. All of Ava’s men prefer Kiki. Ava puts Avery’s backpack on the couch, and says she’ll expect Avery at the regular time tomorrow. Carly says Avery won’t be with her tomorrow. She’ll be with her family.
Maxie says Nina just found out her child is alive and well. Nina has seen her picture and knows her name, and she’s not going to contact her? Nina says, she’s not a baby; she’s grown. She doesn’t want to rip Sasha’s life away. Maxie says that makes sense, but she already knows. Won’t she want the test results? Nina says she did it thinking she’d prove she wasn’t Nina’s daughter. It isn’t always a slam dunk. Look at Peter and Anna. Maxie says, and if Nina doesn’t meet Sasha, Sasha has no chance to reject her. Might that be it?
Peter asks Griff if he’d consider working for him. Griff asks if he means as a personal physician, but Peter says, every good paper has a medical editor. He’s trying to turn The Invader into a good paper. Griff tells Peter not to take it the wrong way, but he hopes it doesn’t come to that. If it ever does, he’ll keep it in mind. He asks if Peter ever found closure. After everything that was done to him, did he find peace? Peter says, no. He did want revenge on his father, and got it, but it cost too much. Not just for him, but the people he used along the way. Peter leaves. Kiki has been listening, and looks at Griff.
Not-Doc asks how Felicia is going to protect them, and from whom? She says, the tabloids and Ryan Chamberlain groupies. They can issue a joint press release. Just a few lines, distancing themselves. One statement; their only response. Let the vultures feast elsewhere. Not-Doc asks what if they took the opportunity to guide the press? Tell the story accurately and with compassion. Felicia asks, for Ryan or the victims? and he says, everybody. She knows he believes Ryan could have been rehabilitated, but he was a monster the public wants to bring back from the dead. They can tell the truth, short and sweet, and end his notoriety and legend once and for all. Not-Doc says, all right; let’s do it. They’ll get together, and sort it out. He’ll page her. She asks if they’re back in the 90s. Not-Doc guesses the topic has put him in a time warp; he’ll text her. They’ll find someplace quiet and private, where they can think. She tells him to let her know when and where, and she’ll be there. It will be over soon; he’ll see. When she’s gone, he says, sooner than you think, Felicia.
Ava tells Carly the custody agreement is clear. If Sonny doesn’t abide by it, she’ll notify the court. Carly says the family will all line up in support of Sonny, including Kiki. She knows Ava banned Kiki from seeing Avery, and Kiki will point out her vindictive parenting style. Ava asks what’s so important about tomorrow, and Carly isn’t surprised she doesn’t remember. It’s the anniversary of Morgan’s death. Avery will be there to hear about the brother she no longer remembers. One day, Sonny will explain how Ava stole his medication and his sanity. She may as well have put him in the car. Ava says she didn’t know that would happen, and Carly says her son is dead because of Ava. Get the hell out of her house.
Nina insists she’s not afraid to meet her daughter, but her daughter might not want to meet or deal with her. Maxie can’t imagine she’d want to miss the opportunity. Peter walks in, saying he wanted to make sure Nina knew Anna was on a hunt for Obrecht. Maxie says she told Nina, like she said she would. Nina says, since he’s there, she’d like his take on something – for a friend. Her friend had to give a baby up for adoption years ago. She thought about her child all the time, and found out where she was as a grown woman, and she didn’t know she’d been adopted. Peter says, that’s tough. Nina says her friend is desperate to meet her daughter, but doesn’t want to disrupt her life. Nina wants to know his opinion. Should her friend try to have a relationship with her daughter?
Finn tells Gregory that he doesn’t think it’s life-threatening. He’s running some tests. If he’s right, they’ll figure out a course of treatment. Gregory says, as bad as it’s been, he’s happy to finally know. He’s tired of running in circles. Chase asks if there’s anything he can do, and Gregory says, join him for dinner. How about the three of them? Finn says his cases are backed up, but Gregory says, there are plenty of days ahead; pick one. Finn leaves to check on the test. Chase follows him out, and says, it’s just dinner. Finn says Chase asked him to treat their dad, and he will to the best of his ability. Chase needs to accept that’s as far as it goes.
Not-Doc is staring at Felicia’s picture on his computer, when Ava comes in. He says it’s a pleasant surprise, and she tells him, pleasant remains to be seen. He laughs, and says he has time if she’d like to talk. She says she’d like that very much, and sits down. He says she seems upset. Is it anything inparticular? She tells him that she tried her hand at redemption and failed miserably. Was she wrong to want it in the first place? He says, go on. She says she did the honorable, moral, and right things, and was treated like dirt for sins she’d committed before trying to be better. He asks how she tried, and she says a good man convinced her that loving him could change her; that a better life was possible. She had hope, until he and her daughter betrayed her; humiliated her in public and in private. All the good she thought was inside is gone. He asks what’s in its place, and she says, rage. She was going to say, nothing, that she was empty and hollow, but she’s filled to capacity with nothing but rage. She needs to do something with it; something to them. She needs them to hate her as much as she hates them. She asks how crazy she sounds, and he says the way she described what she’s feeling was masterful. She asks him to tell her how to fight against revenge.
Sam brings Danny in, saying she has a surprise for him. He hugs Jason, and Sam says Danny is studying families, and how they come in all kinds of packages. She says she’ll get some snacks, and Danny can show his dad the book he made. Jason reads from the book. Some families have a mommy and daddy, some only a mommy or a daddy, some have two mommies, or two daddies. Danny says, like Uncle Lucas and Uncle Brad. Jason continues, some mommies and daddies each have their own house. Danny says, just like our family. Jason tells him, that’s right. Just like our family.
Nina tells Peter that he doesn’t have to answer. Maxie says, what Nina is trying to ask is, would it do harm to a child who’s now an adult, if the mother gets in touch after all this time? Peter doesn’t want to assume too much, since he doesn’t know the situation. This is just his opinion. His relationship with his parents was both horrific and non-existent, but he believes if love is offered to a child, it’s the child’s choice to accept it. There are no guarantees, but her friend might have comfort in telling her daughter that she cared. Nina believes it would, and Maxie says she should tell her friend. Nina says she has to get back to work.
Outside Nina’s office, Peter tells Maxie that he doesn’t know how helpful he was. She says he spoke from his heart, and it was exactly the right thing.
Not-Doc tells Ava, she says what she feels is rage, but what he hears in her voice is fear. Ava says she’s a multitasker, and can do both. He laughs, and says her anger is like a forcefield. He hopes that’s not too nerdy. Her anger is protecting her from something on the outside, but also something deep inside. What does she need protection from? She tells him that she has a recurring dream. Shrinks love dreams,right? In her dream, her baby girl is all grown up. She follows and watches Ava, and tells Ava that she sees her as she really is. Not-Doc asks, how? Ava says, ugly, scarred. Not-Doc says, that’s not true. He’s looking at her, and she’s beautiful. She asks if he has any brilliant deductions. Is Avery telling her that she’ll never escape the past bad things she’s done? All the ways she’s compromised to survive? Are the scars on her soul, if not on her face? In a typical shrink response, he asks what she thinks, and she says she doesn’t know. He thinks she does.
Finn goes back in the examining room, and Gregory says Chase went out for coffee. Finn says, that wasn’t necessary, but Gregory thinks it was. He just wanted alone time with Finn once in twenty years. He likes Anna. She’s smart and funny; great qualities in a partner. He knows Finn suffered when Reiko died, like he suffered when Finn’s mom did. He tells Finn it’s possible to find happiness again. Now Finn has moved on. Can he forgive Gregory for doing the same?
Griff watches Kiki use free weights. She asks if he’s okay, and he says, not really. They said no apologies, but – Kiki says, no buts. They slept together. They’re two consenting adults. He didn’t seduce or take advantage of her. She’s tired of pretending they didn’t want to. He can convince himself that he took advantage of her, or that she was tipsy, but it would be a lie. She invited him to her room. He says he could have not gone. Kiki says she could have done a million things, but didn’t. She wanted to be with him. Like she does now. Woo-woo.
Finn writes a prescription, and tells Gregory it should help with the discomfort. Chase comes back, and Finn tells them to enjoy dinner. He leaves, and Chase wonders what the problem is. It has to be more than Gregory getting married. Gregory says he’s been asking himself that for years. Chase is a detective; figure it out.
Ava tells not-Doc that she wants revenge on her daughter and her lover, but if they suffer the way she wants them to, it proves them right; she’s a horrible, wicked woman. If she does nothing, she has to let them go on unscathed, unpunished. How does she learn to live with it? He says, those are good questions. To be honest, not everyone is capable of tackling them with candor. He commends her. She says, for wanting to destroy her own child and boyfriend? He did save her life once. Not-Doc asks if it didn’t balance the debt when he took up with her daughter. She asks if not-Doc is saying he deserves it, but he says that’s not for him to decide. She’s surprised he’s not lecturing her about her moral failings, and wanting the wrong things. He says it’s not his job to lecture. His job is to make her hear herself, so she can decide what’s right for her. She says he’s been extraordinarily helpful, and thanks him. She’d like to see him again, and he tells her to set up a regular appointment. They can explore the concept of revenge and satisfaction together.
Maxie tells Peter that she’d passed along the information about Obrecht to Nina. Peter days he thought she might have forgotten. She says Nina’s fugitive aunt being hunted down by his spy mother? It’s not something she’d forget. He starts to excuse himself, and she tells him that he doesn’t have to bolt when he sees her.
Nina leaves a voicemail for Sasha, introducing herself, and saying she thinks Sasha met her friend, Curtis Ashford. She’s Sasha’s biological mother.
Griff is about to kiss Kiki, and says, only if she promises – she interrupts him, saying, no apologies; no promises. They start kissing passionately.
Jason tells Danny that he did a great job on the book. He learned all about families. Danny says the teacher said families are made up of people who love each other. Jason says his teacher is right, and Danny asks if Jason loves mommy.
Tomorrow, Griff tells Kiki there’s nothing stopping them, Maxie wants to know why Peter is avoiding her, and Oscar doesn’t want to go back to school.
🍹 A new episode of The Shahs of Sunset will be back next week. Tonight, Bravo took a trip down Memory Lane with the Passport Edition, which was really a repeat of Asa and Reza’s pilgrimage to the Iranian border during the Shahs’ trip to Israel. Next week is also the season finale. That was fast.
🐮 Sweet Home Oklahoma – underrated, and one of my favorites – has been rebooted, and turned into Sweet Home, premiering Friday, November 2nd, at 10 pm. The same cast will still be around, but it will focus more on Jennifer Welch – whose ex, Josh, is the only man in the world I allow a man bun – and her interior design business. 🔥 Last week was so horrendous, I forgot to watch the Hell’s Kitchen: Rookies and Veterans premiere last Friday. I know I can catch it On Demand, but I like to watch the shows fresh. No surprise, it’s going to interfere with my viewing pleasure of Z Nation, which starts tomorrow. So, unfortunately, my Kitchen is going to be a little stale this season.
