What I Watched Today

(The whole GH enchilada on Fridays; the other days, who knows?)

General Hospital

Olivia asks Gio about playing the National Anthem at the PCU/Llanview game, when Chase runs in looking for Brook. Lois asks, where’s the fire? when Brook comes out, grabs his hand, and they run upstairs, saying that they’re going to finish a movie. Olivia says she knows where the fire is, and Lois says, they all know.

Sasha tells Maxie that she can’t believe it. She hasn’t slept with anyone since Brando, and spends one night with a guy from the bar… She doesn’t know if she can do this.

Lulu walks into her house and says, what the…? James comes out and asks who she is. She says, sorry, but who is he? And what is he doing in her house?

Lucky says, Cyrus was here? and the manager says, he volunteers at Turning Woods. Lucky asks if he thinks it’s okay that a violent, convicted criminal has access to patients, and Elizabeth asks why the family wasn’t consulted. The manager says, Cyrus is Lulu’s uncle and said he had authority to act on the family’s behalf, and Lucky says, like hell he does.  

Kristina says she loved her child and would never hurt her, and Ric says, not more than she loved her father. That’s why she went to the hotel room, isn’t it? To protect her father. She put her father first before the baby. ADA Turner objects, badgering the witness, and the judge sustains it. She tells Ric, question the witness or dismiss her, but don’t testify on her behalf. He says, Kristina wanted to protect her father more than her sister’s child, and Kristina says, she was her child. It was an impossible situation. She wanted to protect her family. He says, the baby was her niece and Kristina’s reckless action caused her death. She’s the reason Irene Davis-Ashford is dead. Alexis stands up and says, that’s enough. Leave her alone.

The judge tells the court to come to order, and Alexis says, the defense attorney is attacking the witness and assaulting her emotionally. It’s egregious. (Alexis’s favorite word.) The judge says, Alexis has no standing in this court and needs to leave before she’s cited for contempt. Alexis says, Ric should be cited for contempt of the judicial process, and the bailiff starts to move toward her. Sonny says, they’ll leave, and the ADA requests a recess, but Ric says, it’s not necessary. No further questions. The judge gives them 15 minutes anyway, and Ava tells Ric that he made Kristina look sympathetic. He says, she already looked sympathetic, but now she looks volatile and reckless. That’s what they wanted.

Kristina says she blew it, but Dante says, not necessarily. He’s been on the stand numerous times, and the jury responds to the truth. She told hers. Molly tells TJ that she’s afraid, and he says, of which part? Ric breaking Kristina down or Kristina saying their baby was her baby. Molly says, if Kristina’s testimony gets Ava acquitted, she’ll never forgive herself. Molly goes over to Kristina and hugs her. She says she’s sure their mom will take Kristina home, but Kristina says she’s not going anywhere, and stares at Ava.

Alexis tells Sonny that Ric knows he can’t win on his own merit, so he’s shattering Kristina. Sonny says, it’s a desperate move and the jury will see right through it, and she says, Ric wanted to make Kristina look like a loose cannon, and she’s worried the jury will believe him. Sonny asks if she wants to go home, but she says she wants to wait. She tells him to go inside. His daughter needs him. He goes back in the courtroom.

Maxie says she knows Sasha is scared, but she meant what she said. Sasha does have a support system and they’ll be here to help. Sasha says she knows. She has a lot of decisions to make, and this isn’t the only one. Maxie says, she just found out that she’s pregnant and needs to do what’s best for her.

James says, it’s not her house. It’s his house. Lulu says she doesn’t know who he is or what he’s doing here. If he tells her where he lives, she’ll help him find his way home. He says he doesn’t have to tell her anything, and she says she lives at 34 Cherry Lane. He says, that’s here, and she says, this is her house. He yells, mom! Stranger danger!

Lucky says, Cyrus has zero authority to act on the family’s behalf, and Elizabeth says, they’ll figure it out. When Cyrus came to visit Lulu at GH and Lucky’s mom found out, she had him removed from the list. Lucky asks the manager why his mother would ban Cyrus from GH only to turn around and authorize him to act on the family’s behalf, and the manager says, he’ll have to ask the mayor. Their focus is on patient care, not family disputes. Lucky says, Lulu vanished, and no one noticed, and the manager says, they have state of the art security equipment. An orderly listens from outside the door, and Lucky says he wants to see the footage – all of it – up until what happened to his sister.

Cyrus is working at the PC Grill when his phone rings. The orderly says, it’s Joe from Turning Woods. Cyrus’s nephew is here, and he’s upset. Cyrus asks if something happened to Lulu, and Joe says, his niece is missing.

Ric calls Natalia to the stand, and she looks surprised. (Um… wouldn’t she have to know if she was going to testify? What if she hadn’t come to court? I don’t think surprise witness means the witness is the one who’s surprised.)

Gio says, Chase and Brook were in a hurry. It must be a great movie. Olivia says, kicking back and watching a movie is just what they need, and Lois says, they need to take it easy. Gio says he’s going to go practice, and leaves. Olivia and Lois laugh, and Olivia says, Lois is going to be a Nona soon.  

Chase and Brook kiss their way to the bed, and Chase says he’s sorry he’s late to make a baby with her. They get busy.

Maxie runs out with a bat in her hand and looks around. She says, James Malcolm West, what is going on? She thought someone was in the house. He says, there was, and she says, she told him not to joke about something like this. He says he’s not. There was a lady in the house. She asks if the lady gave him cookies, but he says he got them from the kitchen. She asks how many he’s had, then says she doesn’t want to know, taking the plate. He says he’s telling the truth. There was a lady in the house. Maxie says, that’s not possible. The doorknob is locked. She goes over to the door, turns the knob, and it opens. Sasha says, it’s not locked, and Maxie asks if James did this. James says, there was a lady standing by the chair, and Maxie and Sasha look outside. Maxie says, this is weird. He doesn’t usually make up stories. She picks up the rock and sees the spare key is gone.

The manager says he’ll call security in the morning, but Lucky says, now. The manager says he’s sorry, but there’s protocol, and Lucky suggests they call the cops. The manager says, they’ve started a search. Lulu was probably sent to the wrong room. Lucky says, their incompetence doesn’t make him feel better. Give him the footage.

Ric asks if Natalia was recently in a car accident, and did she make a 911 call on November 11th? She says, it was earlier in November, and she’ll trust him on the date, and Ric enters her 911 call into evidence. He plays it for the jury and asks if that’s Natalia’s voice. She says, yes, and he asks, who’s the other voice? She says, Kristina Corinthos-Davis, and he says, she and Kristina in a car accident? She says, technically, yes, but they didn’t hit. He asks about Kristina’s emotional state, and she says, Kristina was shaken. He asks if she was rational, and Natalia says, totally. He asks, who caused the accident? and Natalia says she did.

Maxie asks if James promises he didn’t take the key, and he says he promises. Sasha says she’s going to let Maxie handle this, and Maxie says, they’ll talk tomorrow. She doesn’t want Sasha to think she’s on her own. Sasha says she’ll call in the morning, and opens the door. Spinelli is about to come in, and Sasha says, hi… bye, and leaves. Maxie asks James to tell her more about this mysterious stranger, and James tells Spinelli that there was a strange lady here, but mom doesn’t believe him. Maxie says, James is convinced there was an intruder, and James says he promises it’s really true. Maxie says, if the intruder returns the key, she’d appreciate it, and Spinelli says he believes he has a way to solve the mystery.

Lucky storms into the PC Grill, Elizabeth following him, and asks Cyrus, where the hell is his sister?

Gio plays his violin outside, when Lulu comes by. When he finishes the song, she says, it’s a good thing he’s playing not singing it. The high note always trips people up.

Lois tells Olivia not to put the stroller before the baby. Brook isn’t pregnant yet and she doesn’t want to jinx it. Olivia says, it’s only a matter of time. She’s glad Brook did it in the right order, not like she did, but it worked out for the best… She’s sorry. Lois did everything right too. Lois says she thinks she’s learned there’s no right or wrong way to live your life. Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to. Olivia says, one way or the other, and Lois asks if she’s okay. Olivia says she was thinking about Sam, Dante, and the kids. One minute, they were a big happy family, and the next minute, it was all gone. Lois says, it makes you appreciate how fragile and unpredictable life can be, and Olivia says, Brook and Chase are going to live long, happy, healthy lives. And Lois is going to be the second proudest Nona in the world. Lois says, all she wants is for Brook and her grandchildren to be happy, and Olivia says, grandchildren. Monica is going to have to put on another wing.

Chase says, mission accomplished, and Brook says, it’s too early to know if she’s pregnant, but mission definitely accomplished. Promise her something. She never wants making a baby to take precedence over them and for it to feel like a chore. He says, the most important thing is for them to enjoy each other. Everything else will come in time. She says she has another mission, should he choose to accept it, and he says, definitely. They kiss.

Ric reminds Natalia that she’s testifying under oath, and says, she claims the accident was her fault? She says, yes. It was definitely her mistake. He asks her to tell the court what happened, and she says she was driving when she got a text. She’s embarrassed to say, she looked down at it and drifted into oncoming traffic. He says, it must have been important, and she says, it was from her daughter. Their relationship is strained and they’re not speaking, so the text surprised her. He asks why she said she didn’t need emergency services, and she says, they were both fine. He asks if she called anyone else, and she says, Kristina’s dad. He picked her up. He asks if an insurance claim was made, but she says, no. They took care of it themselves. They didn’t want the insurance to go up. He says, of course (🍷). She testified that she caused the near collision and Kristina acted rationally in the aftermath. Natalia says, correct, and he says he has no further questions. The judge asks the prosecution to redirect, but the ADA says she has no questions. The judge tells Natalia that she can step down and asks Ric to call his next witness. He calls Molly Lansing-Davis to the stand.

Spinelli says, the answer is in the palm of his hand, and James says he’s bored. Spinelli says he has the mobile app for a camera he just installed at the front door, and Maxie says, so it records everything outside. They look at the video and see Lulu taking the key. Maxie says, James was right, and James says he tried to tell her. Spinelli says, her hood is covering her face, and Maxie says she knows she owes James an apology, but she needs him to focus and describe the woman. James says, she had blonde hair, and Maxie says, that narrows it down. Spinelli says, James can give the description to the PCPD, and James says he’s going to help crack the case, and runs off.

Lucky says he was just at Turning Woods and Cyrus was the last person spotted with Lulu, and Cyrus says, it’s surprising Lucky showed up. He’s been there to support his niece during these trying times. Lucky says he wants to make it clear. Cyrus is not welcome near his sister. Cyrus says, Lucky’s mother is busy running the city and raising his nephew. Lucky is rarely on the continent, much less at Lulu’s bedside. If he’s not there, who is?

Gio says, no one wants to hear him sing, and Lulu asks if the Quartermaines hired him to play. He says he lives here, and she asks if he’s a Quartermaine. He says, it’s a grey area between guest and extended family. No one has asked him to leave, so he must be doing something right. Lulu says, the way he plays, they should keep him around, and he tells her that Lois said the same thing. She brought him here. She says, Lois Cerullo? She thought Lois lived in Bensonhurst. He says, she did, until last year. He’s answered her questions and now he has one of his own. Who is she? She says she’s sorry she interrupted him, and he asks if she knows where she’s going. He could take her somewhere. She says she appreciates it, but she’s had her fill of stranger danger for one night and they just met.

Ric asks if Molly was with her sister when Kristina was served with the subpoena, and Molly says, yes. He asks, what was Kristina’s reaction? and Molly says, she was not happy. He says, define not happy. Was she angry? ADA Turner objects, leading the witness, and the judge says, sustained. Ric asks if Kristina stated she was planning on testifying, and Molly says, she said she didn’t intend to comply. He asks if she informed Kristina that failure to comply is a punishable offense, and Molly says she did. He asks what Kristina’s reason was for not complying, and she says, Kristina was afraid she would incriminate her father for an unlawful act. He says, her father is Michael Sonny Corinthos, Jr. So Kristina would rather protect her father than state the truth. Molly says, Kristina was set on not testifying, and he asks if Kristina confided her intention to confront Ava. She says, Kristina told her that she was going to get Ava to drop the subpoena. She didn’t specify that she was going to confront Ava. Ric asks what she said and how did Molly respond, and Molly says she warned Kristina not to see Ava. He says, Kristina didn’t take her advice, did she? Why does Molly think that is? Molly says, she was angry, and there are mumbles throughout the courtroom. He says, so Kristina Corinthos-Davis, 38 weeks pregnant with Molly’s child, was aware the subpoena would not be lifted, yet sought out and confronted Ava to protect her father from her testimony. Molly says, yes, and Ric has no further questions.

Ava takes the stand, and Ric says, Kristina arrived at her hotel suite upset. Ava says she understood. Kristina is very protective of her father. He says, Ava subpoenaed her, and she says she believed Kristina would see her obligation to tell the truth and consider what was at stake, the well-being of her half-sister Avery. He asks if Kristina asked her to lift the subpoena, and Ava says, she demanded it. He says, and Ava refused? and she says, yes. He asks about Kristina’s mental state, and Ava says, she was angry. He asks if Kristina made threats, and she says, Kristina threatened to bring up her alleged past transgressions to damage her custody case. He asks how Ava reacted, and Ava says she was upset, but she didn’t wish harm on Kristina’s baby. He asks if Ava laid a hand on Kristina, and she says, yes. They were arguing and Kristina was pushing past her. She reached out and grabbed Kristina’s shoulder, and Kristina pulled away. She lost her balance and tripped. She fell against the window and crashed through it. It was horrific. He asks what she did, and Ava says she went to the window and closed the drapes. He asks if she saw what Kristina tripped over, and she says, a duffel bag belonging to a man she was involved with. He asks if she replaced it with another item, and she says she moved the bag to the other room and replaced it with a pair of shoes. He asks, why? and she says, the man she was involved with was an FBI agent. She didn’t want to draw him into any trouble. He asks if she had any intention of harming Kristina or her child, and she says she could never harm a child. Her own daughter was brutally murdered, and she’d never wish the pain of losing a child on anybody. He says, one last question. Does she have any regrets about that day? She says she regrets that they both thought they had to protect their families. She regrets that their differences weren’t addressed in a courtroom, and deeply regrets that an innocent baby lost her life before she had a chance to live it. She knows it was a tragic accident and for that she has so much regret and sorrow. Ric says he has no further questions.

Lois says, all she wants is one beautiful healthy grandchild, and Olivia says, being a Nona is the best. You get to say yes to everything. That reminds her. She made Rocco his favorite cookies. Lois says she thought Dante didn’t want him eating those, and Olivia asks, what did she just say?

Brook says, that didn’t feel like a chore, and Chase says he’s looking forward to that big, beautiful baby belly. She says, he’s made it clear that he’s excited about Project Baby Bump, and he says he’s excited about everything to come. She says, her blowing up like a balloon, and he says he knows she has the harder part, but when she starts to show, it will feel real. She says, he’s going to be the best father, and he says he’s excited they’re doing this together for the first time. He’s excited about all of it.

Elizabeth says, they were wondering if Cyrus saw anything suspicious at Turning Woods, and Cyrus says he was told Lulu was showing improvement. He was too focused on the good news to notice. He’ll be more vigilant next time. Lucky says, there’s not going to be a next time. He made it clear that Cyrus is to have zero access to his sister going forward. Cyrus says, that’s a mistake. Lulu needs him. Lucky says, Cyrus needs to get it in his head. In no way is he Lulu’s family. Cyrus says, Lucky’s been absent for more than a decade. Now he graces them with his presence and gets to decide who’s family. When he’s spent more than a month with his own child, then they can discuss family.  

James wonders when Grandpa Mac is getting here with the police, and Maxie tells him to sit and read. Spinelli says, perhaps James is right, and they should get the police involved. Whoever came in, is out there with the spare key. James flips through a photo album and suddenly says, this is her. The lady who was in the house. Maxie takes the album and sees Lulu’s photo.  

Lucky says, it doesn’t matter where he’s been. He’s here now and he’s going to do everything in his power to protect his family. Cyrus says, as will he, and Elizabeth says, getting arrested isn’t going to help. Lucky says he just got the security footage, and he and Elizabeth look at it. They watch as Lulu gets the clothing out of the drawer behind the reception desk, and Lucky says, she’s awake.   

It’s time for the closing arguments, and ADA Turner says, by her own admission, the defendant physically struggled with Kristina. She moved the bag Kristina tripped over, restaging the crime scene. She lied about closing the curtain and hid having an affair with an FBI agent. But the biggest lie was that she claimed Kristina Corinthos-Davis’s fall was an accident. The truth is, Ava Jerome got angry, and with intent and malice, pushed Kristina through a third-floor window, causing the death of her baby. Irene Davis-Ashford would still be alive if it weren’t for the actions of Ava Jerome, and for that, the jury must find her guilty of manslaughter.

Ric says, the central fact of the case is, a baby is dead. A baby that was loved and wanted, mourned and grieved. When a tragedy happens, it’s natural to want to blame someone, when often, nobody is at fault. They heard testimony confirming Kristina was angry and out of control. She showed up at Ava’s hotel suite even though she’d been advised that visiting would not result in lifting the subpoena. What was her intention? Both parties admit they were heated and emotional, both intent on protecting their families. They argued, and in that argument, Kristina tripped over a piece of luggage and crashed through window. It’s horrifying and tragic… but not a crime. The prosecution would have them believe Ava was callous and caused the death of another woman’s child, even though she’s gone through that unimaginable loss. He’s sure all parties question their choices that day and if they could have changed course, but that’s why it’s called a tragedy. Random decisions caused the death of a child. It’s only way more tragic if they wrongfully assign blame. There’s enough blame to go around, so they should leave it here today. Call it what it is – an accident, a tragedy – and let the healing begin for all those involved.

The judge says, the jury must agree by unanimous verdict. When they do, notify the bailiff. She asks the bailiff to escort them to the jury room. Ava tells Ric, nice job, and he says he hopes at least one of the jury members agrees. Everyone gets up to leave, and TJ asks what Molly thinks. She says she thinks this was a tragedy.  

In the hallway, Kristina says, they can’t fail. The jury has to find Ava guilty and punish her.

Lulu walks into the Quartermaine mansion. She walks through the foyer and into the living room. She hears someone come in, and Rocco says, mom? She turns and sees him and says, Rocco?

Next week, Laura tells Lucky, the only time she would do something is when she was in danger; Lulu tells Rocco, long time, no see; Molly says she’ll do anything for TJ but that; Drew says, the second Jason moves into the Quartermaines, he and Scout are gone; and Kristina asks Sonny to tell her the truth.

I didn’t watch Ryan’s Hope, but I remember seeing her in the Soap Digest. I had no idea how accomplished she was.

🧂 There’s Salt In My Lake…

According to Heather, the Mormons have two great claims to fame – potato sacks and polygamy. Who knew? While I’ve grown weary of the whining, what stood out in this episode was Robert Jr. confessing to his mother what we’ve known all along – he’s a drug addict. Mary was nothing but compassionate and supportive, and in her interview, she said she was disappointed with herself, having failed him in some way. She said she thought he’d stop at weed and edibles, but was clearly wrong. When she tearfully told him that he could kick his habit and they’d get through this together, it was as real as it gets.

The parade route. I’ve seen it in person twice. Once from the sidewalk in front of the store and once from inside an office building while drinking mimosas. Guess which one was better? Seriously though, you’re better off watching from home. It’s supposed to rain anyway.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Valentin says, that’s not the usual greeting he gets when he walks in the door. How would he know who shot at Anna? Anna says, they’ll get to that. Can he tell her first of all what that message meant? He says, maybe he’s still a little jet-lagged, but what message are they talking about? She says, the one he had her deliver to Sonny.

Martin goes into Cyrus’s room and asks how big brother is feeling today. He knows they’re shipping Cyrus back to Pentenville, and can’t imagine he’s very happy about that. Cyrus says, just tell him that Martin did as he asked, and Martin says he did exactly as Cyrus asked; transfer all of his accounts to the rehabilitation institute. Cyrus says, excellent. With the help of God and that money, many lives will be saved. Martin says, what about Cyrus’s life? Far be it for him to second-guess Cyrus’s generosity, but it appears he’s penniless. Is he sure he made the right decision? Cyrus says, for the love of money is the root of all evil (I appreciate him quoting that correctly), and Martin says, play it his way. He doesn’t have to understand Cyrus’s benevolence, but he can’t shake the feeling that somehow, some way, there’s something in it for him. Cyrus says he did his part. Let’s leave it at that; the rest is in God’s hands. Austin looks in through the window.

Sasha wakes up and sees the door to her room open. Cody walks in, and she says his name.

Finn asks if Elizabeth knows where he may find the head nurse, and she wonders if she can ask what this is about. He says, it’s a bit personal… embarrassing really, but she has a kind face. He supposes he can tell her. She says, go on, and he says he wanted to thank her. He was having this crisis of confusion. He has feelings for a co-worker and thought she didn’t feel the same way about him, which is understandable, so he was thinking of leaving GH to avoid running into her every day… literally. He’s quite clumsy. She says she’s guessing he had second thoughts about this, and he says he has. He won’t be seeking a position at another hospital. Gregory comes out of the elevator, and Elizabeth says she thinks she can speak for the head nurse. She’s quite happy he’s going to stay. He says, really? He realized that GH has something he won’t find anywhere else in the world. He notices Gregory and says, hey. What brings him by?

Tracy finds Olivia in the nook, and asks, where is he? Olivia asks, who? and Tracy says her son, the wandering warbler, of course (🍷). Olivia says, since she no longer shares a bed with him, she really wouldn’t know, but she assumes Eddie is still asleep since he was out all night club hopping again. Tracy says, enough is enough. They have to do something now. Olivia asks what she means, and Tracy says, it’s time to have Ned committed.

Gregory says he didn’t mean to interrupt, and tells Elizabeth and Finn to carry on with their conversation. Just pretend he was never here. Finn says, it’s okay. He was just telling Elizabeth how he decided to stay at GH. Gregory says he had no idea Finn was planning to leave. He hopes everything is okay. Finn says, more than okay. He thought he might be better off at another hospital, but then he realized what he’d be giving up. Elizabeth says, GH’s most brilliant doctor, and what would they all do without his scintillating bedside manner? Finn says, this from a woman who once referred to him as a curmudgeon, and Elizabeth tells him that she didn’t say that. Everybody else calls him that, but not her. She finds him very charming. She leaves, and Gregory says, Finn is smiling. Finn says, he can’t help it. She said he was charming.

Olivia says, when Tracy uses the word committed… Tracy says, to a mental ward. Ned needs help; analysis under a doctor’s supervision. Olivia asks if she really thinks that’s the way to go, and Ned almost walks in, but hangs back, listening. Olivia says, what is she going to do, throw him in a padded cell with a straitjacket? but Tracy says, this is not One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. She’s trying to save her son, and a psychiatrist can tell if he’s faking or if he really believes he’s Eddie Maine. Olivia asks if she really thinks this is the way to go, and Tracy says, yes, she does. He can’t keep staying out all night and partying. He’s going to crash and burn, and she’s trying to stop it before it happens. The best thing Olivia can do for him is put him in a psychiatric facility. Ned continues to listen, and Olivia says, whatever Ned is calling himself these days, she’s still his wife. So legally, she’s the only one who could have him committed. Tracy says, fine. Have at it. Do the honors. Just do it soon, because this has gone on way too long, and they have to put an end to it. Ned looks concerned, as we all would be.

Sasha says, it’s good to see Cody, and he slams the door shut. She asks if he’s okay, and he says, how can he be okay when she tried to murder him? She plunged a knife in his side, or doesn’t she remember that? She says she never meant to… He yells that she knew exactly what she was doing. And all he’s ever done is try to help her. What the hell was he thinking? He goes to the door, and she says, wait. He turns around, and he’s Cyrus, who says, she’s nothing but a strung-out junkie. No one can help her now. She’s going to die in a back alley with a needle in her arm. She says, he’s not real. He’s not here. Leave her alone. He holds out a bag of white powder and says, come on. You know you want it. Here it is. Go on. Take it. She tells him to leave her alone, and he says, she needs him. he backs her up against the wall and says, no one else wants her. Come back to him. She starts to cry and slides down the wall.

Brook messes around on the keyboard, and Cody asks what she’s doing. She says, knitting, and he says, very funny. He’s been looking for her all day. She’s been ignoring his calls and texts. She says she’s sorry. She left her phone upstairs. What’s up? He says he needs her help with Sasha. He’s really worried about her and has to help her, but the only way to do that is get into Ferncliff. She says, good luck with that, and he says, that’s where she comes in.

Martin says, Cyrus is going to leave everything in God’s hands, and Cyrus says, I trust in our Benevolent Creator. Martin says, obviously. Enough to pad that foundation’s bank account, that’s for sure. Cyrus says, in discovering the truth about life, you discover how meaningless money really is, and Martin asks if Cyrus is sure the heart attack didn’t damage his… memory for one thing. Although he did manage to put together those forms and give Martin access to his money, so… Cyrus says he remembers the kind of man he was, and he knows the road to forgiveness is long and treacherous. Martin hopes Cyrus remembers the kind of man his brother is. He’s always been a bit of a cynic. Cyrus says, yes, and he prays one day they can remedy that frailty together, and Martin says, until they do, does Cyrus mind if he proffers an opinion? As his attorney, it appears Cyrus is penniless. As his brother, Martin strongly has his doubts. Cyrus says, Martin saw all his accounts. He devested and gave everything away. Martin says, that’s right. In his experience, men like Cyrus… excuse him. Men like Cyrus used to be seldom stash everything in a place where it can so easily be found. Cyrus asks if Martin is accusing him of holding back, and Martin says he’s strongly suggesting it’s a possibility. Cyrus says, oh ye of little faith, and Martin says, come on. Please. Just back away from the Good Book long enough to look his baby brother in the face and give him an honest answer. Cyrus says, Martin gave away every dime he had, and Martin says he guesses he’ll just have to take Cyrus’s word for it then. Cyrus says, as God is his witness he’ll never go hungry again.

Anna says, Valentin called him from Chechnya and asked him to deliver a message to Sonny. He asked her to take it to Sonny in person, which she did, but their connection was so bad. She wanted to get some more information from him because she has a lot of questions. He says, such as? and she says, here’s the thing. Sonny is being very kind to her recently, which is nice, but it doesn’t change the fact he’s running a criminal enterprise. So it makes her wonder why Valentin is sending cryptic messages to him, but more important, what did that message mean? Because Sonny seemed to understand what he was referring to; she’d like to also. He says he’s sorry. He had no intention of involving her in any of this, but he was helping Laura in Russia and didn’t have choice. She says, she understands that. His priority was helping Laura find Nikolas, and she thinks that’s probably why she just went ahead and did what he asked without questioning it. He says he appreciates that and thanks her, and she says, but the timing is really interesting, right? Because she was delivering that message to Sonny at the MetroCourt pool, and two minutes later, she was shot at. There’s got to be some kind of connection. Is he keeping something from her?

Martin tells Cyrus, good luck. Is there anything else Cyrus needs him to do? Cyrus says, he’s done enough, and thanks him. Martin says he worries about Cyrus going back to that place. He’d hate to have to tell mother that something happened to him there. Cyrus says, somehow, he doesn’t think she would care, but he made peace with that a long time ago. Martin says, she always asks about him. He’s got to go see a client. Cyrus says, about a horse? and Martin laughs. He tells Cyrus to take care of himself and leaves.

In the hallway, Martin sees Austin and wonders if he can ask him a quick question. His brother is being transferred back to Pentenville today, and he’s concerned about it being so soon after the heart attack. Is Austin sure it’s not risky? Austin says, all of his test results are back and things look good. He doesn’t know Mr. Renault very well, but he seems like a pretty tough cookie. His phone dings, and he tells Martin that he wouldn’t worry. He’s sure everything is fine. Martin thanks him and continues on. Austin sees a text from Mason: Your office. Now.

Delusion Cyrus says, Sasha is just a violent psychopath. She cries, and Cyrus turns into Cody, who says, she’s going to be locked away for the rest of her miserable, pathetic life. Then you’re going to rot in hell for what you did to me, you crazy bitch. She says, no! She never meant to hurt him. He has to believe her. She thought he was someone else. She thought he was Cyrus; she stabbed Cyrus. He says, look at him. Look at what she did to him. She sees the knife sticking out of his bloody side, and scream/cries.

Real Cody says, Sasha does not belong in Ferncliff, and Brook tells him that he keeps saying that, but… He says, something isn’t right here. He can feel it. He just has to figure out what it is. She says, and he thinks getting into Ferncliff will give him the answer? and he says he does, but he can’t get in. He already tried once and almost got caught. She tells him, when he says it like that, it sounds like something shady is going on, and he says he may have told them that he was Dante Falconari. She says, he impersonated a cop? Is he crazy? He already doesn’t have a great relationship with the PCPD. He says, but he does have a great relationship with Dante, and she says, then why doesn’t Cody just ask Dante to get him into Ferncliff? He says, because that shyster Gladys has to give permission for any visitors. She doesn’t want him anywhere near that place. The last thing she wants is for him talking to Sasha, but she does like Brook. She’s his only hope. Will Brook call her please?

Olivia tells Tracy, absolutely not. She will not have her husband committed. Tracy says, he won’t be her husband again unless she has him committed. The best thing she can do for him is get him help. Ned continues to listen, and Olivia says, but how does Tracy know that committing him is going to help? They could load him full of drugs. They could give him electroshock therapy. It’s still legal to give someone a lobotomy. Tracy says, Olivia’s seen too many movies. It’s only a matter of time before he puts himself in a dangerous situation, or worse than that, he runs off with a groupie and we can’t find him. Olivia says, Ned would never do that, and Tracy says, right. Ned would never do that, but Eddie Maine would. They have to get him treatment. Olivia needs her husband, she needs her son, Leo needs his father. Please… Olivia says, no. She’s not going to do it. Not now, not ever. She doesn’t care if he calls himself Eddie Maine for the rest of his life. Tracy storms off.

Valentin tells Anna, okay. Initially, he was supposed to be an intermediary between a third party and Sonny Corinthos. They asked him to reach out to Sonny on their behalf, and he did. As soon as they came to a preliminary agreement, he assumed that was the end of his involvement. She says, until he asked her to give Sonny a message concerning who he should and shouldn’t trust while doing business with this third party. He says, that was information he was compelled Sonny should have, and she asks how he obtained this information he was compelled to share. He says he’s not sure he’s comfortable with this line of questioning, and she says, he sounds like a lawyer. Come on. He’s not talking to a client; he’s talking to her, the person he claims to love. Can he just tell her what’s going on? Like, why is he involved with Sonny, and who is the third party? He says, a defense contractor, and she asks, what’s the name of the company? He says, Pikeman.

Austin goes to his office, but doesn’t see Mason. He goes out into the hall, then goes back in, and Mason is in his office. He asks, what’s with the hiding? and Mason asks if he’s heard from Betty or Corinthos’s Pikeman connection? Austin says, this is Mason’s game, not his. Mason put all these pieces into play. You handle Betty. Although he hopes Mason handles Betty better than he handled Gordon. Mason says, Austin thinks he shot Gordon? He wouldn’t waste his time. Austin says, Mason didn’t like that guy and owed him money. Wait until the PCPD puts those pieces together. It’s motivation for wanting somebody gone, doesn’t he think? Mason says, if it was him, he wouldn’t be the one worried about the cops sniffing around. How long is it going to be before they find out Austin had a fight with Gordon outside the restaurant? It seemed pretty fancy and there were cameras everywhere.

Anna asks if Valentin has any idea how dangerous Pikeman is, and he says, years ago before Charlotte was born, he had dealings with them. He handled logistics, but he wasn’t working for Pikeman. He was working for an independent contractor, and they consulted on a few projects. She asks why he’s never told her about this before, and he says he’s done business with a lot of companies he’s never told her about before. She asks if that’s supposed to make her feel better, and he says he hates her thinking that he’s intentionally keeping secrets from her. Pikeman came to him because they know him and like his work. They know he has an acquaintance with Sonny, and it didn’t seem like an unreasonable request, so he did it. He thought that was going to be the end of it. She says, he’s not the only person who could make an introduction to Sonny. There has to be a reason they chose him. He says, it’s not easy to get a meeting with Sonny Corinthos. They asked him to be an intermediary, and he agreed. She asks why he would do that. What was he thinking?

Ned tells Olivia that he heard everything she and Tracy said, and thanks her for standing up for him. That woman is a bully. Olivia says, that woman usually gets her way, but not this time. He has nothing to worry about. She’s the only one who can have him legally committed and she has no intention of doing that, but she does want him to get help. Just not on Tracy’s terms. He says he appreciates her help, but the bottom line is, he’s not Ned. So no matter what they try to do – therapy, hypnosis, analysis – nothing is going to change him into someone he’s not. There is no Ned. He doesn’t exist. She says, yes, he does, and there’s a ton of evidence to prove it. There’s birth certificates and passports and driver’s licenses… He says, those are pieces of paper. He knows who he is. She says, he can’t argue with fingerprints. Whatever he may believe, he is Ned Quartermaine. He is her husband. He’s Brook’s father; he’s Leo’s father. And they love him, and they need him back. He says he’s sorry. Ned’s not coming back. He’s gone. She just has to accept that and move on. He won’t pretend to be someone he’s not. He needs to sing. He needs his music. That’s who he is, and without it, he’s nothing. She says, what if there was a way that he could have his music and be part of this family too? He says he doesn’t follow, and she says, his daughter Brook is a spectacular songwriter; use her. Why don’t the two of them make music together?

Gregory says, it looks like things are going well between Finn and Elizabeth, and Finn says, the signs point to yes. Gregory looks puzzled, and Finn says, the kid’s thing… The Magic Eight Ball. You shook it up and asked a question… Never mind. The outlook’s good; at least it’s a maybe. Gregory says he’s happy for Finn, and Finn thanks him, but says, Gregory never told him why he came over here. Gregory says he’s doing some research. He’s doing an op-ed in The Invader on memory care facilities. Finn says he’s sorry, but he has a patient he’s got to see. They’ll talk about that trip to Disneyworld. He leaves, and Tracy comes out of the elevator. She asks what Gregory is doing here. Actually, she was worried about him at the MetroCourt. He says he doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and she says, when they had dinner. He couldn’t pick up his credit card. Was something wrong?

Cody waits just inside a door at Ferncliff, while Brook goes to the desk. She asks what the nurse’s name is, and Janice shows Brook her ID. Brook says, Janice. That’s a nice name. She always liked the name Jan. The Brady Bunch was her favorite show. Does she remember Jan? She was always so jealous of her sister, Marcia, Marcia, Marcia. Did anyone ever call her Jan? Janice asks how she can help Brook, and Brook says she’s actually here to visit her friend Sasha Gilmore. They work together at Deception, the cosmetics company. She’s sure Janice has heard of it. She should try their Perfectly Peach lipstick; it would look great with her coloring. Janice says she doesn’t wear lipstick and she hates peach, the color and the fruit. Just hand her a driver’s license and she’ll check to see if Brook is on the list of approved visitors. Brook gives her the license, and Jancie says, her name looks familiar. Does she know Brook from somewhere? Brook says she doesn’t think so, and Janice asks if she’s the BLQ who works with Blaze and Chase.

Anna says, Valentin had to know any dealings with Pikeman weren’t going to be above board. This is a defense contractor wanting to do business with the Corinthos organization, which screams illegal activities. He says, of course (🍷) he knew it would be questionable, but he didn’t care. She asks, why? Please help her understand. He doesn’t need the money. He says, it wasn’t about the money. He was hoping they could provide him with something more valuable than that. She says, what? and he says, when Pikeman first reached out to him, Victor had just framed Anna for Lucy’s so-called murder. He was blackmailing Holly Sutton; he was holding her son hostage. He seemed unstoppable, and Valentin was trying to find a way to stop him. She says, so he thought Pikeman could help him bring down Victor, and he says, yes. He thought there was a chance. She asks, why? and he says, because they’re connected to the WSB.

Gregory says, just because they had one dinner together doesn’t give Tracy the right to be calling around, prying into his private life. She says she wasn’t prying. She was asking a friend out of concern for him. He says, concern? She made a call asking if he had a medical problem. And since when are she and Alexis friends? His impression was that Alexis doesn’t include her in that category.

Finn comes out of the elevator as Elizabeth is walking by, and he says he has mold for her, handing her a box. She says she didn’t really like flowers anyway, and he says, it’s not really for her; it’s for Jake. He’s doing that science project for summer school and called Finn to ask for help. It’s about how mold grows into penicillin, so he grew some samples in his lab. There are some really good spores in here. She says she’s never seen someone so excited about fungus, and thanks him, taking the box. They hear Tracy say, this has absolutely nothing to do with Alexis, and Gregory saying, the more he gets to know her, the more he understands why Alexis… Elizabeth wonders why he did to deserve the wrath of Tracy.

Brook tells Janice that she was Chase’s manager, so he knows her, and Janice says she’s his biggest fan. The second a new song is released, she downloads it. She recorded his performance at the Nurses Ball and must have watched it a dozen times. Brook says, it’s her lucky day, because Chase and Blaze recorded a new duet. It doesn’t come out for months, but she can give Janice a sneak peek. Does she want to hear it? Janice says, that would be great, and Brook hands her earbuds, then scrolls on her phone. Janice listens and looks like she’s in heaven, while Brook motions to Cody and he slips down the hall.

Austin tells Mason, it wasn’t a fight. It was a heated discussion. Mason says, still. It doesn’t look good for Austin. Austin says, it had nothing to do with him. Gordon said Mason owed him money, and he told Gordon that he should talk to Mason. Something about another job he did for Mason. Does Mason want to explain what that’s all about? Mason says, Austin doesn’t need to know, and Austin says, he’s right. Get the hell out of his office. Mason says, where are Austin’s manners? He should be careful when he disrespects family. You never know when they’re going to turn on you. He walks out, leaving the door open.

Tracy asks Gregory what Alexis said that makes him think she’s not her biggest fan, and Elizabeth tells Finn that she’s sorry. He says, for what? and she says she knows Tracy is his friend, but sometimes she can come on a bit strong, doesn’t he think? He says, sometimes? Tracy is definitely an acquired taste, but she’s a good person. And he knows it’s hard to believe, but she has a soft side. She says, he’s right. It is hard to believe. He says, she’s also a ferocious backgammon player, and loves the competition just like his dad loves a good argument. It looks like he’s holding his own… kind of.

Tracy says she’s not going to stand here and defend her relationship with Alexis. It’s none of Gregory’s business. He says, just like his health is none of her business, and she says she can’t keep arguing with him about this. She has to speak to a doctor. He says, so she’s the one who needs medical help, but she says, it’s not for her. It’s for… It’s for her son. He needs to be committed.

Olivia brings Ned into another room, and says, that’s Brook’s keyboard. It’s where she writes most of her music. She’s sure Brook would love to have a writing partner. They could be Lennon and McCartney. He says he doesn’t know. He’s always done his own thing and doesn’t see himself as a duo. Olivia says, she wouldn’t be singing. She’d be helping him write songs and producing. He says, so she doesn’t sing? and Olivia says, she used to. It’s a long story. But it beats busking on a streetcorner, right? He says he needs more than this. He needs to be on a stage. He needs an audience. She says, he’s got one, and sits down.

Anna asks when this connection between Pikeman and the WSB started, and Valentin says he doesn’t know how far back it goes. He was with the WSB when Pikeman recruited him, as were a lot of current and former WSB agents who now find themselves working for Pikeman. It seemed to be some kind of revolving door. Any agent who left the Bureau could find a position at Pikeman. She says, so he worked for them years ago. She’s presuming at the time, Victor was head of the Bureau, and he says, yeah. Why?

Janice tells Brook that she’s all set. She’ll have an orderly take Brook to Sasha’s room.

Cody slips into Sasha’s room and sees her sitting against the wall. He says her name, but she doesn’t look at him. He closes the door and goes over to her. He says, it’s me, Cody, and she looks at him blankly.

Ned plays the keyboard as Olivia listens, and he flashes back to hearing Tracy say that he can’t keep staying out all night and partying. He’s going to crash and burn. She’s trying to stop that before it happens, and the best thing Olivia can do for him is put him in a psychiatric facility. He sings, and Olivia applauds at the end of the song. He says his throat’s really dry. Does she think she can get him something to drink? She suggests iced tea and leaves to get it.

Gregory says, committed? Why on earth would Tracy do that to her son? She says, Gregory saw him at Rice Plaza. He was delusional. He’s abandoned his wife, his children, and his business. What kind of mother would she be if she didn’t get him help? Gregory says, he’s not her responsibility; he’s an adult. She says, he’s an adult who believes he’s someone else. He says, she can’t lock him up because he doesn’t conform to who she wants him to be, and she says, this is not about her wanting him to be the perfect son. It’s about her trying to get him to see that he is her son, Ned Quartermaine. He says, she has no business giving away his agency. He has every right to live his life as he chooses. She can’t make decisions for him and deprive him of his liberty and independence. Doesn’t his freedom mean anything to her, because it should. Who cares what name he calls himself? The important thing is, he’s living his truth without anyone else interfering. If he hasn’t asked for help, he doesn’t need it. She says she didn’t ask for a lecture, but he says he’s just trying to help her see it from Ned’s point of view. She asks if he doesn’t mean Eddie. She’s sure he’s really trying to help her, but she knows what she has to do. She walks off, and Gregory goes over to Finn and Elizabeth. He says he doesn’t know how Finn puts up with that woman. If they’ll excuse him, he has some research to do. He leaves, and Elizabeth says, that was uncomfortable. He says, yeah, it was.

BTW, just call me Lady Gaga from now on. I’m living my truth.

Janice says, before Brook sees Miss Gilmore, she might want to prepare herself. Brook asks what she means, and Janice says, her friend is in a fragile state. She’s emotional and volatile. So Brook will need a medical professional with her during the visit. Ronald will stay in the room with her. Brook asks if that’s really necessary, and Janice says, yes. Dr. Montague left a note in her chart saying, all visits must be supervised. It’s for her own safety, as well as the patient’s. Ronald tells Brook, right this way please, and she follows him.

Cyrus is cuffed to a wheelchair and brought out of his room. Austin comes by, and looks at Cyrus, who smiles as he’s wheeled into the elevator. He continues to smile as the doors close.

Olivia brings in the iced tea, but the room is empty. She calls for Ned, then Eddie, but nothing.

Anna says, Valentin used to work for the WSB. He put together a deal with Pikeman and Sonny. Then he asked her, also a former agent, to deliver a message to Sonny. Then a couple of minutes later, shots are fired, either for Sonny or her, and the rifle used happened to be at one point in the custody of the Bureau. He asks if she thinks Pikeman and the WSB are behind the shooting, and she says she thinks the connection is stunningly obvious. She was the target, and she refuses to be a sitting duck, so if he’s got anything else he’s forgotten to tell her, now would be a really good time to do so, before they take another shot. Because honestly, the next time they might not miss. He says he’s told her everything he knows about Pikeman and their connection to the WSB. It kills him to think he put her in danger, because he never would have sent her to Sonny with that message if he’d known. She starts to walk out, and he asks where she’s going. She says, there’s a missing piece and she’s going to find out what that is.

Cody tells Sasha, it’s him; it’s Cody. Everything is going to be okay now. He’s going to try and get her out of here, okay? He touches her shoulder, and she says, no. Don’t touch her. She starts to scream at him to get away from her and leave her alone. She screams, get out! and Ronald runs in, followed by Brook. Ronald pulls Cody away from Sasha and tells him to get out right now. He’s calling security. Sasha continues to scream and cry, and Cody leaves, closing the door. Outside the room, Brook looks at Cody, terrified.

Tomorrow, Portia tells Trina, that’s the best news she’s had in a long time; Sonny asks if Nina is going to talk to someone; Marshall tells Curtis that he thinks it’s a good time to leave town; and Alexis tells Gregory, she’s so mad.

General Hospital

Chase checks on his phone to make sure the cameras are working, and Finn comes downstairs. He says he shouldn’t be long, but if Elizabeth wakes up before he’s back, have her call him. Chase says, don’t worry. He has everything under control. He gets the feeds from all the cameras on his phone, so he doesn’t even have to get off the couch. Finn says he owes Chase one, but Chase says, no problem. They’re going to find out whoever’s been harassing Elizabeth. That’s a promise.

At the station, Jordan says she heard Rory had a problem with a perp tonight, and he says, yes, ma’am. He filled out all the appropriate paperwork. She says she was referring to that bruise, and indicates his cheekbone. It doesn’t look serious, but he might want to ice it. He says he’s good, and she asks, what happened? He says, a fight broke out at Kelly’s. Spencer Cassadine was the instigator. She says, Spencer? At Kelly’s? Who else was involved?

Cameron and Spencer are in their cells, and Spencer asks if Cameron would mind telling him what the hell he thought he was doing back there. It’s not as though they don’t have plenty of time on their hands. Cameron says, will you shut up. He can’t believe he’s in a jail cell right now. Spencer says, if Cameron hadn’t punched him… and Cameron says, he deserved it. Spencer says, that’s not the point. Cameron assaulted him, and he’s locked up for no reason. Cameron says, no reason? Spencer assaulted an officer. Spencer says, it was an accident. Is that guy even a cop? He’s barely older than they are. Cameron says, he’s not the problem. Why the hell did Spencer say that crap about Trina and Josslyn? Spencer tells Cameron that he had to say something. Cameron and his big mouth were about to ruin everything.

On the phone at The Savoy, Maxie says, no problem. She gets that it was an emergency. She was just hoping there were other doctors capable of saving lives… She tells Austin that she really does understand. Do his thing, and they’ll try for a different night. She hangs up, and says she hopes Britt is having better luck with her date.

At Beradino’s, Britt sits sipping wine. A man tries to take the chair next to her, and she says, it’s taken. He leaves, and she says, that is, if he ever shows up. At another table, Britt sees Drew sitting with a woman we don’t know, but later find out her name is Mia. Drew says, the digital side is going well. That credit goes to his nephew Michael. He really knows his stuff, but the print division, that’s lagging, and that’s on account of him. Mia says, he only recently took control, having returned from an extended absence. He says, that’s one way to put it, and she says, let her ask him a question. Does he want to run a media company, or having survived a life-threatening incident, is there something else he’d rather do?

Marshall meets Epiphany at the Bistro, and she says she just finished her shift. She’s glad he called, but then again, maybe he needed to vent. Did something happen between him and Curtis? He says, something like that. He asked to see her because he wanted to tell her personal; he’s leaving Port Charles.

Curtis asks if everything is to Selena’s liking, and she says, he’s exceeded expectations. The back room is set up just as she asked. He says, their deal was, after the first game, she’d provide him with a certain sealed police record. When can he expect that? She says, the game hasn’t even started yet, and he says, just a reminder, per their agreement, she will run clean games here; no guns, no drugs. She says she doesn’t anticipate any problems, but she’s wise enough to expect the unexpected. And she’s right. She watches Sonny walk in.

Spinelli approaches Maxie, and says, Maxinista. He’s wearing what I suppose you could call clubwear, and turns in a circle. He asks what she thinks, and says, It feels a little like cosplay, but the sales associate assured him it was the right look. She says, it’s fantastic, but just a few adjustments. She removes his fanny pack and puts it on the table, and starts to take off his scarf, but he says, this pulls the whole outfit together. She asks if he means pulls it apart. With all due respect to the salesperson who helped him, who’s the fashion editor here? He says, she is, and she puts the scarf aside. She says, now he’s perfect, and he thanks her. He says, it’s been a while since he’s done this, and she says, done what exactly? He says, sought companionship, and she says, something non-serious, or with the potential for something more? and he says, something romantic of course (🍷), but you can’t buy if you don’t shop. She says, don’t say that to anyone – ever, and he says, noted. What about her? Is this work related or is she out with the girls? She says, no. She was supposed to meet Austin tonight, but he had a hospital emergency, which she totally understands, but she could have used the distraction tonight. He says, why tonight? and she says, after months of wavering, Britt is finally on a date. Britt’s been all mysterious about the guy, so of course (🍷) all Maxie wants to do is go over there and see him.

Britt tells herself, face it. The guy is a no-show. She thinks she’s relieved.

Drew asks what Mia is suggesting. He hand over his half of Aurora to Michael, and go trekking in the Himalayas? She says, it’s his life. How does he want to spend it? In the boardroom or clinging to a mountainside? He says, he’s done the mountainside, and there were moments of incredible exhilaration, but he missed out on a lot of time, time he can’t get back, with his daughter and his family. So he chooses the 9 to 5 boardroom. She says, not surprising, but impressive, and he says, she’s lost him. She says she’s asked hundreds of execs some version of that question. They all choose the boardroom. Then they trip over themselves to convince her that deep down inside, there’s some dangerous man or woman yearning to live on the edge. But in his case, he’s actually been to the edge. He says, not everybody who goes gets to come back. He feels he owes it to them and to himself to embrace the life he has here and make the most of it. Not that running a company is a noble endeavor, but if he does it right, a lot of people have jobs and his family has security. She says, he chooses the boardroom. Next question. Aurora or ELQ?

Chase is looking in the refrigerator, when Aiden comes in. Chase says he thought Aiden was at his grandmother’s, and Aiden says, he biked over. Chase says, it’s kind of late. Does he need something from his room? Aiden says he needs Chase’s help.

Rory tells Jordan, Cameron Webber and Spencer Cassadine were arguing; Trina Robinson and Josslyn Jax were also present. He could tell things were starting to escalate, and when he turned around, Cameron assaulted Spencer, a punch to the face. That’s when he intervened. She says, alone? Where was his partner? He says, still at the Byrne crime scene, and she says, he should have been with Rory. Breaking up a fight by himself is dangerous. He says he had it handled. Webber backed off right away, and Cassadine was on the ground. She says, so that was it? One punch. He says, yeah, and she says, and Spencer still wants to press charges against Cameron? He says, Spencer didn’t say one way or the other. He brought them in on disorderly conduct. She says, both of them? and he says, first there was Webber’s punch to Cassadine, which was an assault, and then Cassadine threw an elbow, which was an assault on a police officer. So he followed procedure and took them both in. Webber was cooperative; Cassadine wasn’t. She says, Spencer Cassadine revisited arrest? and he says, not physically, but he was running his mouth the whole time at the station. Who does that guy think he is? Laura comes in and asks Jordan, where are her grandsons?

Cameron says, Spencer’s strategy of lying to his friends and sitting back while they all go down in flames is just genius. He wouldn’t want that to get screwed up. Spencer says, Cameron couldn’t keep his mouth shut for one day, and Cameron says, in case Spencer hasn’t noticed, Josslyn despises him. She’s on fire against him for being protective of Esme and throwing Trina under the bus. So he couldn’t listen to her tear Spencer down, because Spencer is trying, in his own weird pathetic way, to fix it. Spencer thanks Cameron for defending him, and says, don’t let it happen again. Cameron says, don’t worry; he won’t. He was defending Spencer before Spencer landed him in jail. Spencer says he’s not going to press charges. He’ll tell the cops he instigated the whole thing. Cameron asks if he’s sure about that. Will this whole situation violate his parole? Will being arrested land him back in prison?

Curtis excuses himself, and Selena tells Sonny, this is a surprise. He says, it’s her first night poker game. He wanted to check it out. Just curious. She says she heard about the attempted robbery at Charlie’s. She hopes everyone is all right. He says he took care of it, and she says, of course (🍷), and smiles. Brad comes in, and tells Curtis, someone is requesting a brand of liquor they don’t have in the back room. Curtis says, his bar is stocked with the best, and Selena asks if there’s a problem. Brad says, one of the players beer of choice is Conners Ale, and Curtis says, that cheap stuff? We don’t pour that here. Brad tells him, he says it reminds him of the old neighborhood, and Selena says, then go buy some. Brad leaves, and Selena says, he’ll get better. Curtis says, he hopes so and leaves. Sonny asks Selena if everything’s okay, and she says, fine, but he says he disagrees. He thinks she’s making a big mistake.

Aiden says, it’s a school project, putting a Ouija board on the coffee table. Chase says, about trying to talk to ghosts? It’s way cooler than anything he ever did in school. Aiden says, he did a bunch of research online about Ouija boards. He wanted to test one out, and write down what happens. Like an experiment. Chase asks, why not do this at his grandmother’s place? but Aiden says, her apartment is too new and modern. He figured this place would have more spirits attached because the building’s a lot older. Chase says, so that’s how this works, and Aiden says, yes, but the internet says, unless you’re extra sensitive to the supernatural, you can’t use a Ouija board alone. Since his mom is sleeping, will Chase help him? Chase says, sure, but he has to warn Aiden, he doesn’t think anything is going to happen, but Aiden says he does. He has the feeling someone wants to talk to him.

Selena says she’s cleared this with Sonny; the game is going well. She fails to see how she’s made any mistakes. He says, by bringing her nephew in? No disrespect, but Brad is a lying weasel. She has to be careful who she chooses to represent her. She says she understands his reservations about Bradley, but she assures him, Brad is under her supervision now. He’ll do as she says. Sonny says, is that so? and she says, unquestionably.

Maxie says, Spinelli has to talk her down – go. Spinelli says, Britt wouldn’t appreciate Maxie crashing her date, and Maxie says, he’s right; she wouldn’t. What else has he got? He says, she might feel pressure; she’s still trying to get to know her gentlemen, and Maxie says, she’s meeting him for the first time tonight. Maxie is dying to see what this match looks like. He says, match? and she says, Britt’s been using this matchmaking service, Society Set-Ups, and she was matched with six different guys. She’s meeting her first match tonight, but Spinelli is right. Maxie needs to respect Britt’s privacy. He says, one little peek wouldn’t hurt. She won’t even know we’re there. Maxie says, we? and he says he’ll drive. They go out past TJ, and Maxie tells him, gotta run.

TJ asks Curtis if he’s seen Grandpa Marshall. He thought he might find Marshall here. Curtis says he hasn’t, but Drew called and told him what happened at the gym. TJ says, Curtis had Drew do a background check on Marshall? and Curtis says, he did. TJ says, he’s angry. He tried to talk to Marshall, but he didn’t want to. Curtis says, that’s Marshall’s M.O. Everything’s a secret. It makes covering his lies easier. TJ asks what Marshall is lying about

Epiphany says she thought making amends with Curtis was important to Marshall. Now there’s no hope? He says, he and Curtis are at an impasse, and she says, since when? The last time she looked, they were doing fine. He says he thought so too. It seems Curtis doesn’t want a relationship with him. At least, not on terms Marshall can accept. She asks where he’s going to go, and he says, that’s yet to be determined, but come tomorrow, he’s gone. She tells him, she thought he said getting his family back was the most important thing to him. So why is he going to leave again? He says he regrets that, but the fact of the matter is, he should have stayed gone. Expecting his family to let him back in after all this time is too much to ask. She says, damn right it is.

Drew says, Mia has certainly given him a lot to think about, and she says, then her work is done. He says he’s glad they had the chance to meet face-to-face, and she says, her too. He’s a refreshing departure from her usual client. He says he’ll call her, and set up their next consultation, and she says she looks forward to it. They shake hands, and she leaves. Britt looks at Drew, and he comes over to her table. She asks if he ends all his dates with a handshake. She knows it’s been a while, but he might want to speed up the process. He says, that was a business meeting, and she says, so much for her power of perception. He says, forgive the cliché, but is that seat taken? She says, it is now; please join her. He says he hasn’t seen her in a long time. How is she? She says, fine, and he says, that was a real question. Honestly, how is she? She says, maybe she’s not fine, but for now she’s better. For one thing, she doesn’t have to keep holding that seat. He asks if she’s expecting somebody, and she says, so his associate, Aurora or ELQ? He says, what? and she says, his business meeting. He says, maybe a little of both actually. Mia’s a coach. Britt says, he must take his softball league pretty seriously. He doesn’t have to get ready. He seems like he’s in pretty good shape to her. He says, thanks, but she’s an executive coach, to get the most out of your business. He’s back at Aurora, and he’s kind of stuck. He doesn’t know which direction to take, and Mia had some good ideas. Britt says, good luck. Remember, sometimes it’s best to trust your own instincts. Advice can take you in the wrong direction.

Rory tells Laura that he made the arrest. He didn’t realize the perps were related to the… She says, both perps are her grandsons, and asks where they are. Rory says, they’re in their cells, and she asks, have they been charged? but Jordan says, no. They’re still sorting it out. How did she find out? Laura says she was Spencer’s one phone call. Finn joins them, and says, he was Cameron’s.

Cameron asks how Spencer is supposed to help Trina if he’s back behind bars? Spencer says, they can’t send him back; he’s served his sentence. Cameron asks if part of his sentence isn’t working at Ava’s gallery. How is he going to manage that… Spencer says he’s not going back. No way. It’s a bogus charge. Cameron says, Spencer cracked a uniformed officer in the face, and Spencer says, he’ll sue the PCPD if he has to, for harassment. Cameron says, so that’s his solution? Threats and throwing around money? Thank God Spencer’s not the only one helping Trina. Spencer says, Cameron needs to calm down. They’re going to get out of here, and he’ll go back to making Esme slip up. That’s their best chance of getting Trina exonerated. They just have to stick to the plan. Laura walks in, and says, and what plan is that exactly?

Aiden and Chase sit in the living room, the only light coming from a candle. Aiden tells Chase, you have to place your fingertips lightly on the planchette. He’ll be the leader, that’s the one asking the questions. They put their fingertips on the planchette, and Aiden asks, is there a spirit present? Does anyone have a message for them? Franco? Chase says he doesn’t… and the candle goes out. Chase puts the lights back on, and says, it was probably a breeze, but Aiden says, Chase knows it wasn’t. It was Franco. He’s trying to contact them. Look at everything he’s done so far. The portrait of mom, don’t forget me spray painted on the photos (wasn’t it another painting? continuity, people), mom’s dress, and her wedding ring. Chase says, a lot of unsettling things have happened, but it’s deliberate. Someone wants them to believe it. Aiden says, yes; Franco. The cops can’t find evidence of anyone getting in the house because no one is. It’s Franco’s ghost. Chase says he doesn’t believe in ghosts, but Aiden says, lots of people do. Miss Coe, the cosmetics lady, does. Chase asks why Franco would want to scare his family like this, and Aiden says, he doesn’t mean to. He hasn’t hurt anyone. Not yet. Chase says, nobody’s getting hurt. That’s why he’s here; to protect Aiden’s mom, and find out who’s doing this. That’s why he installed all these cameras around the house. Aiden says, Chase shouldn’t have done that. What if it makes Franco mad?

Spencer says, grandmother, thank God, and Laura asks if they’re both all right. Cameron says, Spencer called their grandma? and Spencer says he didn’t want to wait for his father to get here from Spoon Island. Cameron says he’s sure it has nothing to do with Laura being mayor, and Laura says, Finn is upstairs waiting for Cameron. This officer will walk him up there. The officer lets him out, and Cameron says, sorry about this. Laura says, it’s okay, and Cameron leaves with the officer. Spencer says, what about him? and Laura says she thinks she might leave him there, and he says, why? That guy overreacted. She says she saw the bruise on that officer’s face, and he says, that guy was trying to give him a hard time because he has out for him. She says, that guy is an officer of the law, and he’ll adjust his attitude immediately.   

Sonny says, it looks like Selena has some heavy hitters; he’s impressed. She says she thinks of it as high stakes networking, and he laughs. He says he thinks he’s going to go back and sit down, but she says he doesn’t want to interrupt the game. He says, oh yes he does. They won’t even notice. He leaves, and Brad comes back. He says he’s got the brewskis. Judge Adams is all set. She tells him, never say a player’s name in public. Her associates expect discretion. He says he’s sorry, and she says, this is only his first game, but she expects him to learn quickly. And never ever make the same mistake twice.

Drew says, he takes it Britt has received some less than helpful advice lately, and she says, her mother is pressuring her to use the matchmaking service she signed Britt up for. He says he actually thinks it’s sweet. It’s hard for him to picture Liesl Obrecht having faith in a matchmaker, but he saw on Cassadine Island how much she loves Britt. She probably just wants Britt to be happy. She says, she means well, but some things can’t be forced. He says he’s also felt the pressure from well-meaning loved ones, trying to get him to regain his past life. Reuniting with Scout has been a joy, and family and friends. He’s just having a hard time at Aurora. She says, after all he’s been through, he’s entitled to an adjustment period, but he says, he’s been back a while. He probably should have his act together by now. She says she actually has the opposite problem. She’s really focused on her job. She loves what she does as Co-Chief of Staff at GH, and she doesn’t know if she’s ready for a relationship right now. He says, what if she’s not? It’s okay to be unsure. Life has a way of doing what it wants anyways. You just gotta roll with the punches. She has plenty of time to figure it out. She says, right, and he says he’s sorry if that sounded glib. He didn’t mean to offend her. She says, he didn’t. It’s actually nice to know she’s not the only one struggling. He says, it’s nice to know his struggling brings her comfort, and she says she didn’t mean it like that, but he says he’s just kidding. Maxie and Spinelli come in, and Maxie says, Drew is Britt’s match? Why didn’t Britt tell her? This is amazing! She throws her arms around Britt.

Chase asks if Aiden is mad at him for calling Doc to pick him up, and Aiden says, he could have ridden his bike back to the apartment. Doc will tell his grandma, and she’ll be all worried about him, or worse. Doc will try to talk it out with him. Chase says, it doesn’t hurt to talk. Does Aiden want to talk to his mom? Aiden says, no; don’t wake her up. He doesn’t want them to worry about him. He made a big deal out of nothing. Chase says Aiden doesn’t have to worry. He’ll figure this out, and he’ll stop the scary things from happening.

Maxie says, she’s a little surprised, but she could see it. It could work. Britt says, no. Maxie has it all wrong. Drew isn’t her match; they just ran into each other at the bar. Drew says, she had a date, like tonight? and she says, she got stood up. Remember that matchmaking service she told him about? Her mother signed her up for Society Set-Ups, and she was set up to fail. Her date never showed. Spinelli says, perhaps the gentleman has been delayed, and Britt says, by 30 minutes with no explanation or text? He’s clearly not coming. She didn’t even want to do this in the first place, and now she’s being blown off by some jerk? Spinelli loudly says, that’s not possible.

In the interrogation room, Spencer says, because he basically provoked Cameron, he won’t be pressing charges against him. Jordan says, Cameron is free to go, and Cameron says, what about Spencer? Finn tells him, quit while you’re ahead, let’s go, and they leave. Spencer says, what about me? and Jordan says, it’s up to the arresting officer, looking at Rory.

In the squad room, Finn gets Cameron’s stuff back, and Cameron checks his phone. He sees a text from Josslyn: Are U OK? and texts back: I just got out. Call me. On the desk phone, Finn tells Chase, the charges were dismissed. He’s bringing Cam home to Elizabeth’s. Chase says, just out of curiosity, who was the officer? Finn says, new guy, rookie. Cam’s starving, so they’re going to stop and eat. Does Chase need anything? How’s everything there? Chase says, Aiden was here. Doc just picked him up. Finn asks if Aiden needed to speak to Elizabeth, but Chase says, she was still sleeping. It’s a long story. He’ll fill Finn in when he gets here.

Epiphany says, if Marshall believes the right thing is to cut and run, then he hasn’t learned anything, and he’s definitely not doing his family any favors by sticking around. Is he that man? Because she thought he was different. Maybe he fooled her with his pretty words, and how passionately he played his clarinet. Maybe he put all of his soul into his music, and there was nothing left for the people around in his life. He says, that’s not fair. He loves his family. He only left because he cared about them. She asks if he’s sure, or is it just an excuse he’s making for himself? Because caring from a distance can be a lot easier than sticking around. Now he has a choice. He can disappear or stick it out. Talk to Curtis; fight for that family he says he loves.

Curtis watches as Selena tells one of the players, she has many associates who could have supervised the game, but she chose him because it’s an expression of respect. TJ asks Curtis if everything is all right, and Curtis says, it’s just a busy night. TJ says, it’s a good thing Grandpa Marshall didn’t come here and confront Curtis, and Curtis says he would have confronted Marshall right back for what he’s hiding. He’s not exactly sure what that is or what Marshall’s lying about, but he has the feeling they’ll know soon enough. Sonny comes out, and says, it’s good to see TJ. TJ says, they let him take a break from the hospital every now and then. It’s good to see Sonny too. How’s Avery’s arm? Sonny says, everything is good, thanks to TJ, and tells Curtis, TJ is great. He asks if he can have a second with TJ’s uncle, and TJ says he’ll be at the bar. Sonny says, it looks like Curtis found a way to access the information he wanted, and Curtis asks, what makes him say that? Sonny says, back room poker’s not Curtis’s style, and Curtis says, it’s just business.

Maxie asks if Spinelli is okay, and he says, he just meant to say, no man in his right mind would stand up someone as accomplished and fair of face as Britt. Britt says, thanks? She probably dodged a bullet. Matchmaking is such a desperate and fickle endeavor. How can anyone decide which people click? Spinelli says he prays she doesn’t give up hope. The theory behind matchmaking is sound. Matching based on common interests, meticulous analysis; it provides a solid foundation. Maxie says, look at the  time. They need to go. Spinelli says, they do? and Maxie says, yes. She’s sorry Britt’s date stood her up. He doesn’t know what he’s missing. Britt thanks her, and Maxie says, don’t forget, she matched with five other guys. Drew tells Spinelli that he’s looking sharp, and Spinelli thanks him, and says, his attire is more suited to The Savoy, but because of Maxie’s curiosity and Britt’s date, he had to retire from there prematurely. Drew says, still, looking good, and Spinelli says, since his life has taken an unexpected turn, he’s trying something new. Drew says he knows the feeling.

Spencer says, Rory’s got to agree it was an accident. Spencer didn’t mean to hit him. Rory walked into it. Laura coughs, and Spencer says, but he should have followed Rory’s instructions, he was disrespectful, and he’s sorry. Jordan tells Rory, his call, and Rory says he’s going to let Spencer off with a warning. Jordan and Laura thank him, and he leaves. Spencer asks if Jordan has to report this. Could he go back to prison? He hasn’t done his restitution hours yet. She says, he’s not on parole, so no, there are no consequences. Laura says, but if he had been charged, any judge would take into consideration how quickly he got back into trouble, and add to his sentence. Jordan says, he got lucky, and she hopes he appreciates that. Now he’s free to go.

Chase is sleeping on the couch, and hears something. He calls to Elizabeth, and looks at his phone. He runs out of the room.

Selena tells Brad not to let the beer get warm, and Brad takes it in the back. Sonny says he’s leaving. Good job tonight. She nods, and he leaves. Curtis says, Miss Wu, and she says, please. Selena. They’re partners now in this endeavor. He says, about that. The game’s begun. She promised him Marshall Ashford’s sealed record. He’s waiting. She says, he’ll get it tomorrow, first thing, and goes in the back.

Marshall says, he knows it looks like he’s pulling another disappearing act, and takes Epiphany’s hand. He says he knows he’s probably letting her down too. She says, he’s letting himself down. This is about the man he says he hopes to be for his family. He has so much to give. He says, he wanted to be that man. He wanted to be the man she sees in him. She says, then stay, and he says, she’s making it harder to go. She says, good, because they both know things get harder before they get better. From the way she sees things, everything’s been better between him and Curtis. They just need to ride out this rough patch, and give it some time. Does he really need to leave tomorrow?

Maxie practically runs out of Beradino’s, Spinelli following. He asks, why the hasty exit? Does she think Britt and Drew want to be alone? She says, what was up with him in there? Why was he so interested in Britt’s epic fail of a match up? He says he just couldn’t understand what kind of cad would leave her hanging, and she says, oooh. Is Spinelli interested in Britt? He says, no, and she says, is he thinking of joining Society Set-Ups himself?

Drew says, they deserve another, and Britt hesitates a moment, saying, Spinelli means well… but then says, they do. Drew toasts to an uncertain future, and all it may bring, and they clink glasses.

Laura thanks Jordan for her help and discretion, and Jordan says, this was easy; much ado about nothing. She leaves, and Spencer says, see? Jordan gets it, and Laura says, she’s Commissioner Ashford to him. She hopes he heard her say how lucky he was today, because it could have played out very differently. He says, to continue in the Shakespearean vein, all’s well that ends well. She asks if he thinks this is funny, because she can assure him it isn’t. What is he doing with his life? Is he trying to get sent back to prison? He says, of course (🍷) not, and she says, then act like a responsible adult. Cameron’s not a violent guy, but he’s learned the hard way that his actions have consequences. What did Spencer do to provoke him? He says, it’s over. He and Cameron straightened it out. They’re good. She tells him, never try to dismiss her again. And when an officer of the law tells you to do something, you do it.

On their way into the house, Cameron thanks Finn for getting him, and not telling his mom. He’s just glad she’s getting a decent night’s sleep. Finn says, Cameron’s going to have to tell her, and they go inside. Chase is lying on the floor, unconscious, and they run to him. Finn checks his pulse, and says, Chase.  

Tomorrow, Trina asks Marshall if he’s leaving for good; Ned toasts to Leo; Carly tells Sam, Harmony knows more about the Nina situation than she’s letting on; and Harmony tells Alexis, absolutely not.

General Hospital

Elizabeth knocks on Finn’s office door, and says she has the lab results he wanted. He thanks her, going back to his desk, and she says, don’t. He cured Chase, and Chase’s health is getting better by the day. With physical therapy, he should be able to walk again, especially with Willow by his side. Finn should be happy for that. Don’t dwell on Peter. The world is a better place without him. Finn says Peter’s body is still in the subbasement, and it’s only a matter of time before the police find it. She tells him that Anna already almost figured it out.   

Valentin and Anna run into Austin’s cabin, as rain pours down outside. She says she hopes there’s a hot shower. She thinks the rain will destroy any possibility, and Valentin says, of finding the baby? Maybe they should go home. She asks if he’s saying he’s giving up. Does he think Maxie’s baby is gone for good?

Maxie says, Sasha is pregnant. She didn’t realize. They haven’t talked, and their paths haven’t crossed. She congratulates Sasha, and they hug.  

Brook walks into the MetroCourt, and asks Michael if he has a second. He says, not really, but she says he’s been hard to catch at the mansion, and she’d like some one-on-one time to talk about him and Willow. When are they getting back together? He says, Chase has had another setback; he can’t walk. She says, oh my God. Hasn’t Chase suffered enough? She hopes it’s not permanent, and he says, Finn doesn’t know; no one does. Willow can’t tell Chase that they’re together while he’s going through this. Brook says, they can’t be together for a long time, when Josslyn joins them. She asks what’s going on between Michael and Willow?   

Scotty sees Obrecht, and pats the stool next to him, pulling it out for her. She sits, and he says, guess what? He landed a client with deep pockets. What say they fly first class from there to Honolulu? She says, it sounds lovely. Britt walks in, but waits by the entrance, and Obrecht says, perhaps a vacation with him will help her forget the sorrow in her head. He asks, what is it? Maxie’s baby? Franco? What’s making her so sad?

Carly gives Jason a beer, and says she just keeps thinking about what Ava said. How it’s theater; a performance demonstrating a binding contract. Jason says, Ava doesn’t know their situation, and Carly asks if he sees where she’s going. Is she wrong? He shakes his head, and says, no. She’s not wrong.

Josslyn asks if Michael and Willow are together together, and Brook says she has an important meeting, and she’s late per usual. Good luck. She leaves, and Michael says he got him and Josslyn a table. They walk over, and he tells her, have a seat. She sits, and says, not so fast. Mom told her that Michael and Sasha broke up. Is that the reason why? Michael says, no, and she says, from what Brooke said, it sounded like he and Willow wanted to be together, but can’t. Is she getting warm?

Sasha says she’s so sorry about Maxie’s baby, and Lucy says, that’s why she didn’t want Maxie to be part of the meeting. Maxie asks if Lucy thinks she can’t be happy for Sasha, and Nina says, congratulations. She didn’t realize. Is Sasha in a relationship? Sasha says, it’s complicated, and she’s sorry. This isn’t the way she wanted either of them to find out. Nina says, don’t be silly, and don’t feel bad at all. Celebrate the life she’s carrying. Nina and Sasha hug, and Sasha thanks her, especially after Sasha lied. Nina says she’s not thinking about the past; she’s tired of the past. Brook flies in, saying, sorry she’s late. Is it her imagination or… She sees Maxie and stops.

Anna suggests she and Valentin look at what they know. The nurse sent a PIN, and hands off the baby to someone before she falls. Peter vanishes without a trace, and the nurse conveniently falls to her death in an abandoned mine shaft. It’s vintage Peter. If Peter has the baby, he’s going to make certain he’s not found again. Valentin says, Peter’s not infallible, like Faison wasn’t infallible. They’re going to find Maxie’s daughter. Anna asks why he’s doing this. Why is he there when he could be warm and dry with Charlotte and her baby sister?  Valentin says he won’t rest until they find Maxie’s daughter.

Finn asks if Anna was checking the subbasement, but Elizabeth says, Anna was on the roof, and found the elevator. She thought that might be how Peter got away, but she convinced Anna that wasn’t possible. Anna figured out that Peter was going to take a helicopter, and now she’s determined to find out the identity of the pilot. Finn says, that’s not going to help, but Anna won’t stop digging until she finds out. Sorry. She says he has nothing to apologize for, and he says, he’d interrupted her before. How close was she to telling Jason about Peter? She says, Jason is an expert at this kind of thing, in making sure inconvenient people aren’t found. She was tempted to tell him. Finn says, and he stopped her. As much as she trusts Jason, he doesn’t know Jason, and doesn’t want him involved. She says she hears him, but it’s only a matter of time before the police investigation leads them back to the hospital, where Peter was last seen. They’re going to check the sealed off areas, and discover the body. What can they do to not make this worse?   

Scotty says he wants to take Obrecht’s problems away, and she says he’s so kind. Britt joins them, and Obrecht says Scotty was trying to cheer her up. Scotty suggests taking the girls out for a couple of T-bones, but Obrecht says, perhaps another time. Britt invited her for a drink. Scotty says he’d never try to shoehorn in on mother/daughter business; it’s important. He and Obrecht will talk later. He leaves, and Britt says, congratulations. Obrecht had nothing to worry about. She and Scotty are a couple. Obrecht says, they are, like Britt and Jason.

Carly tells Jason she needs a favor. Be honest, and tell her straight out, what do the Novaks and other families expect? How do they demonstrate Jason is in charge? He says he makes her disappear, and she asks if he means kill her? He nods, and says, or if she wants to move, that might be enough. What does she think? She says, Port Charles is her home. Her business is here, her home is here, the home she shared with Sonny. But she doesn’t want to risk her or her kids’ lives to save face.

Jason says Carly and her kids are well protected. The best way to keep them safe is to show they’re too strong to make a move on again. They have no weaknesses to expect. Carly says, no power struggle? No question about who’s in charge? and he says, that’s exactly what Ava’s solution would do.

Britt says, Jason told her that Obrecht spoke to him about her having the genetic marker for Huntington’s disease, and Obrecht asks if that’s why Britt invited her for a drink, to discuss that. Britt says, Jason said Obrecht needed someone to talk to, and Obrecht says she’s afraid she lost control of her emotions. Looking into those blue eyes, she couldn’t help herself. Britt says she doesn’t want the disease to define who she is, and Obrecht asks, who else does she have to talk to? Britt says, how about no one? and Obrecht says, Britt and her brother were the only good things to come out of her misguided obsession with Faison, and he killed Nathan. Now Huntington’s will… Britt says, kill her? and Obrecht asks how she’s supposed to stay strong for Britt, even as the disease takes hold of the daughter of her heart?

Josslyn says she heard Brook telling Michael that he and Willow had to take time apart for a while. To her, that sounds like some people who are together. He says just because she aced her psych class doesn’t mean there’s a deep, dark secret. He invited her there to talk about getting into PCU, not talk about him. Scotty comes by, and says, hello, Michael Corinthos III and Josslyn. He understands there’s an ELQ board meeting coming up, and Michael says, there is, but what does that have to do with Scotty?  

Maxie wonders what Brook is doing there, and Brook says she’s there for a collaboration between Crimson and Deception. Lucy says, Brook came up with the idea for a social media campaign, and Brook says she already has tens of thousands of followers on Insta. Lucy says she’s dying to know what the campaign is, and Maxie says, what about Bailey? Did Brook leave her with the nanny? Nina says, the nanny’s name is Valentin, but Brook says, Valentin is away on business, but Olivia is taking care of Bailey. Lucy says Brook enlisted Valentin to go to bat for her, and face it, the guy with the purse strings gets a say. Maxie says she needs to talk to Brook alone, grabs Brook, and jets out the door with her.  

Valentin pours some whiskey into Anna’s coffee cup, and toasts to finding Maxie’s baby. Anna adds, and bringing her home. He asks if she changed her mind about giving up, and she says, actually, he changed it for her. He says they could start a fire. He saw a shed, and he’s sure firewood must be in it. She says he’s changed so much. When he first came to Port Charles he had a chip on his shoulder, and hated her. He says, I barely tolerate you now, darling, and Anna and I laugh. He says she was kind to him in their WSB days, then she rejected him. She gave him the greatest night of his life, or so he thought. She says her sister never did things by halves. She derives great pleasure in hurting the people who care for Anna. He says he was a fool as a kid, but she says, he was kind; so kind and smart, and a great sparring partner. He says, so is she, and she says she hated that he got sent away to school so young. It was like he was abandoned. He says, is she kidding him? He’ll go check on the firewood. He leaves, and Anna leans back on the couch, and shakes her head.

Finn says if Elizabeth is suggesting they move Peter’s body, He thinks it’s a bad idea. She asks if he had a better one, and he says, something needs to be done, but she’s not the one to do it. She says he can’t do it alone, but he says he can and he will. He’s going to the PCPD and confessing to killing Peter.

Jason tells Carly that he wants to be clear. It’s not a magic bullet. Taking this step won’t guarantee peace but… She says, it won’t prevent it, and he says, it will send a message that she supports him as head of the Corinthos Organization, and it’s not possible to divide and conquer. She says, it makes sense from a business perspective, and he says, besides complete destruction, it’s the best option he’s heard so far. She says, but they’re not a business; they’re people. What would this mean for their lives?

Scotty says, the ELQ shareholder’s meeting is no secret. He’s done his research. Michael asks why Scotty is interested. He doesn’t have anything to do with ELQ. Scotty says, everyone needs a hobby, like birdwatching. Some are more interesting than others. He’ll see Michael later. He leaves, and Josslyn asks what that was about. Michael says her guess is as good as his, but he doesn’t want to think about Scotty tonight. When does volleyball practice start? She says, soon. There’s a team building trip coming up, and she’ll get to meet the players. Michael says that must be exciting for her… isn’t it?

Maxie asks what Brook is thinking. She doesn’t even like to work. Brook says, that’s not true. Valentin said she’d make a dynamic businesswoman, and she found a way to build her resumé, and for Maxie to see her daughter. Maxie asks how Brook is going to make that happen, and Brook says, both Crimson and Deception are socially conscious organizations. Maxie asks how that’s going to help her, and Brook says, there’s a childcare center next door. She’ll bring Bailey/Louise to work, and since she can’t have the baby in the office, Maxie will be able to see her daughter away from the busybody Q’s wondering why she’s there.

Elizabeth says she and Finn talked about going to the police, and decided it was a bad idea. Finn says, that was when Chase was sick. He found an antidote. He promises not to implicated her, and she says, if he confesses, his life is over. He says, so is hers if they find her DNA on the body. If he confesses, they’ll have no reason to check. She says he needs to think about this, but he says that’s all he’s done. If he’s going to do this right, he needs to have lawyer. He called Franco’s father.

Valentin gets a fire going, and says, a fire and a bottle of whiskey; what more could they want? She says she’d like his full attention. He couldn’t get out fast enough when she brought up his childhood. She didn’t pity him; she admired him. She admired his courage. He’s very strong, and still is. He pours some more whiskey into his cup, and says, the rain’s not stopping. She asks if he thinks they’re stuck, and he says, stuck in what way?  

Britt tells Obrecht that she’s not getting sick tomorrow. Or next week, or even, hopefully, next year. Huntington’s strikes most people older than she is. Obrecht says, she understands that Britt doesn’t want the disease dominating her life, and Britt says, especially since she has to fight to keep her Chief of Staff position. Obrecht says she heard Monica was back in charge, and Britt says, and another doctor wants her job. She suggests they make a deal. No more breakdowns in front of Jason, and instead, Obrecht can confide her worries to Scotty. Obrecht says Britt wants her to tell Scotty the truth about her? and Britt says, have at it, waterworks and all. Obrecht thanks her, and promises Scotty won’t tell a soul, or he’ll have her to answer to. Nor will he look at Britt any different. Britt says Obrecht doesn’t have to make that promise. Scotty won’t be able to help it; no one can. Obrecht ask if Jason sees Britt any differently.

Carly says, once upon a time, Michael was a toddler, and she didn’t want anything more. She sabotaged everything, and threw him away with both hands. Jason says, he came back, and he thinks it’s better. Before, Carly couldn’t have anything good, because if she got what she wanted, she would test it until it broke. That’s why he worked for Sonny. She and Sonny could test and break each other, and still come back together. She says, Sonny is gone, and no one else understands how empty she feels. No one else has the same hole in their heart except him. She sighs.

Josslyn says Michael doesn’t need to worry about her; she’s got this. He says, okay, but it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed going to college. She says, Trina is going to PCU, and they already have housing there. He says, Cameron is going there too, right? and she says, that’s what he posted. He asks if they haven’t gotten over their disagreement, but she says, it was more than a disagreement. He says, they’ve been friends since kindergarten, and she says, Cameron almost shot Jason; he’s family. Michael says, people make mistakes, and they forgive them, and she asks if that’s why he let Nina back in Wiley’s life. What changed his mind and made him decide to forgive Nina?

Lucy says, Maxie is devastated about her baby’s disappearance, as she should be, and Nina didn’t know her daughter until after she was dead. Nina says, Nelle was taken from her a long time ago, but she’s right to worry about Maxie. That’s fresh, and Peter put her through so much pain. Maxie’s daughter is out there. Sasha says her idea combines their campaign with a way to help find Maxie’s baby, and Lucy says she’s all ears. Spill.

Maxie asks if she’s hearing what she thinks she is. Brook deliberately took a job so she could see her baby? Brook asks why she looks so surprised. The whole point was to keep the baby safe from Peter, not keep Maxie and her baby apart. Maxie says she doesn’t know what to think, and Brook says when she saw Maxie holding her daughter, she saw the love Maxie has for her, and the pain in letting her go. She has complete faith that Maxie made the right decision. The best place for Louise is with her and Valentin, but she wants to do everything she can to make it easy for Maxie to see her baby as much as possible. Maxie hugs her.

Finn tells Elizabeth that Scotty is on his way, but she says there’s still time for him to change his mind. Don’t throw away his life for Peter. As far as she’s concerned, Peter got just what he deserved. He says, Maxie still thinks Peter is out there, and he’s going to find her baby and disappear. Or target her and her children. At the very least, he can put her fears to rest. Elizabeth says, it’s good to be noble, but don’t turn himself in to protect her. He says her sons need her. They just lost their stepfather, and she’ll do them no good in prison. If he’s going to do this, he needs to do it alone. There’s a knock at the door, and it’s the nanny with Violet. Finn asks if Violet is okay, and the nanny says, Violet couldn’t sleep; she missed him. Finn picks up Violet and holds her, and Elizabeth smiles. Guess he forgot about Violet.

Jason tells Carly, this is a big step. If they take it, there’s no going back, so they have to be sure. They have to weigh what they can gain against what they could lose. They could lose everything. She asks if he’s really thinking of doing this? and he says he thinks they have to. She says she needs time alone to think about this, and he says, him too. She says she knows he’s oblivious to things like this, but everyone will think she planned this. They think she ran off every woman he’s loved in case she needed him, and now she needs him… He says, it they do this, they know why, and that’s all that matters. He leaves, and Carly does some thinking.

Britt tells Obrecht that she doesn’t think Jason looks at her any differently. He accepts her as she is, before and after. Obrecht asks if they made love after she revealed her diagnosis. Isn’t that significant? Britt says she’s not discussing her sex life with Obrecht, and Obrecht apologizes for overstepping. Britt must stop avoiding her feelings, and tell Jason the truth, that she cares for him. Britt asks, who says she cares for him? and Obrecht says, Britt does. It’s in her eyes, and the tone of her voice when his name comes up. Whatever time she has left, live it passionately with the man she knows she’s growing to love. Something else tells her that he loves Britt too.

Michael tells Josslyn that he had time to think, and maybe giving Nina a second chance isn’t a bad idea. She asks if he discussed it with their mom. He knows how she feels about Nina. He says Carly isn’t afraid of sharing her opinion, but he can’t worry about that right now. She says, because of the Willow thing, and he says, there is no thing. Willow is married to Chase; there’s no story. She says she wants him to be happy, and he says, like her? She says she’s fine. She has college stuff to look forward to. He suggests they have dessert to celebrate, but she says she can’t. She should get home. He congratulates her again, and makes her promise to get together with him soon. She says she loves him, and thanks him for dinner. He says he loves her too, and she’s welcome.

Brook and Maxie come back in, and Lucy says, it looks like they worked things out. Maxie says they had a good talk, and she realized she can miss her daughter without drowning in it. Lucy says Maxie is amazing, and they need to support her. Maxie says she could bask in their compliments forever, but they need to move on. She asks Lucy to show her concept, and Lucy says, great. When Sasha came to her, and told her that she was pregnant, she wondered how they could include new moms – Sasha says, and mothers-to-be – in their product line, and in the pages of Crimson. This is what she came up with. She unveils a photo of a pregnant Sasha that says, The Face of Conception. Nina says, very cool, and Lucy says, there’s another part to the launch, but it was Sasha’s idea, so she’s going to let Sasha tell them. Sasha says she thought, to keep the search for Maxie’s baby in the forefront, everyone could hold a midnight candlelight vigil across the country, and alert the nation to the kidnapping of Maxie’s baby. Brook says, that’s a terrible idea.

Anna looks at Bailey/Louise’s picture, and says, she’s gorgeous. Valentin says she’s right. Objectively, she is a beautiful baby. She lights up the room. Anna asks, what’s going on with him and Brook? and he says, she’s candid and outrageous, and surprisingly kind. He likes her. She amuses him. Anna says, cozy? and he says he doesn’t know how cozy it is, but they’re getting along. She says, that’s a good thing, and he asks if there’s anyone in Anna’s life to ease the pain of her losing Finn.

Finn says he misses Violet too, but it’s past her bedtime. She says, his too; he works too hard. Elizabeth asks if Violet had fun being a flower girl, and Violet says her daddy made Uncle Chase better, like he said he would. Why can’t Finn be with her more? Finn says he wants that more than anything in the world, and Violet says, when Uncle Chase leaves the hospital, they can have a tea party, with him, Willow, and Roxie. Finn says, Uncle Chase will love that, and so will Willow. Violet asks, won’t Finn be there?

Lucy asks how holding a vigil for a missing child be a bad thing? and Brook says, it will remind Maxie of her own baby. Nina says, they’re trying to help Maxie, not hurt her, and Sasha says, she agrees. She thought as many people as possible should be made aware that Maxie’s baby was stolen, and Lucy says, if Peter has a light shone on him, the more people might look for him. Nina says, they might call the police, and Lucy says, it’s for Maxie. Sasha says, they’re right. It’s a great idea, and Maxie says, who knows? Maybe they’re right.

Anna tells Valentin that she has plenty of people in her life who make her feel better; Robin, her grandchildren, Violet, Maxie, her friends. Friends and family, but she doesn’t get to see them all that often. He says he can think of someone she sees quite often, and she says, Robert? He nods, and she says Robert just recently forgave her. When she went back for Sean’s memorial, they talked. He asks, how about him? Is he her friend? Is he on her list of friends? She says, see what he did? Of course (🍷) he is. He’s wonderful. She couldn’t have gotten through the past few months without him. He says, nor him without her.

Finn says he loves seeing Violet, but it’s late, and time for bed. He tells her, goodnight, and Violet says goodnight to him and her Aunt Elizabeth. At the door, Finn tells Violet he loves her, and blows her a kiss. Elizabeth says, now he knows why he can’t confess. She’s not the only one with children who need her. Scotty arrives, and says the nanny gets prettier every day. She’s like a gift of sunshine. Finn said he needed legal advice. What are they talking about? Malpractice?

Josslyn walks in, and says she can’t figure out what’s going on with Michael, but stops when she sees Carly. She asks if Carly is okay, and Carly says, sorry. What’s going on with Michael? Josslyn says, nothing. What about her? She has that look on her face. Carly says, what look? and Josslyn says, like she’s thinking about something important.

Britt goes to her office. She remembers what Obrecht said about living passionately with man she’s grown to love, and flashes back to her and Jason getting busy. Jason comes to the door, and says her name. She turns and smiles. He doesn’t smile, but it’s hard to tell if it’s not just his normal look, or if there’s a problem.

Tomorrow, Austin asks if there’s anything Sam isn’t suspicious of, Finn says he needs legal representation, Ava wonders if she can fix something, and Jason asks if there’s a problem.

The Haves and The Have Nots

When we last left, Jim accused Celine of killing his daughter Amanda.

Celine asks what Jim is talking about, and he says Celine was the last person to see his daughter alive. She asks again what he’s talking about, and he says he knows she did it. She asks why he’s saying these things, and he says Veronica knows what he’s talking about. Celine asks why he’s saying this; she never hurt Amanda. He says her lawyer should be the one to tell her what’s going on, and Celine says, one of them tell her. Veronica says, Jim is  going to try and frame her. Celine says, with what? and Jim says, the DA made it clear that he wasn’t certain it was a suicide. Celine says Jim would use his daughter’s death to destroy her? and he says he’d use the devil herself. Celine says, he is the devil, but he says, the devil is this beautiful bitch standing by Celine’s side. Celine says Jim has done a lot to her, but she can’t believe this, and he tells her to be a good little girl. Drop this, or he’ll make her life a living hell. She says, it’s already hell, and she’s not dropping it. He suggests she drop in the hole he’s already dug for Veronica, and Veronica asks if he’s threatening to hurt her, but he says, it’s not a threat. Consider it something he’d like to check off his bucket list. Just wait and see. Veronica says she’s waiting, and he tells her, get off his property. She says he’s been served. She wants the money in 24 hours, or he’ll go to jail. He says they’ll see about that. Since she served him, she might as well leave the papers. She hands him the envelope, and says, he’s been served. He thanks her, and says, he’s used to it. He goes inside.

Hanna goes into Wyatt’s dark apartment, and walks into the bedroom. She says she’s not trying to see this, and bangs on something, rousing Roderick and two women. He asks who the hell she is, and she says her name is Hanna Young. She works for Kathryn. He says he doesn’t need anything, thanks, and starts to lie back down. She says, no, and he says, what? She says, ladies, and slams a pillow repeatedly on the bed. They need to get up, get their clothes and their things, and get out. Roderick asks who the hell she is, and she says they need to go. She doesn’t think her boss would be too pleased to find out there were ladies in her house. Roderick says, fine, and tells the women, get up, hustling them out of the bed. Hanna says, let’s move, and seeing they’re not wearing much except thongs, she says, my God Jesus. She tells Roderick that Kathryn also wants him to answer his phone. He says, okay. Hanna isn’t going to tell her… Hanna says, oh yes she is, and he says, she’ll ask him to leave. Hanna asks what Kathryn is to him, and he asks if Kathryn didn’t tell her. Hanna says she wants him to tell her, and he says Kathryn is a really good friend; she takes care of him. They take care of each other. Hanna says, okay, and starts to leave, but Roderick grabs her arm. She says, hands off, please, and he says, don’t tell Kathryn. He knows a beautiful woman like Hanna knows what it’s like to do what you have to. She says she knows damn well he’s not trying to flirt with her. Does he know how much money he’d have to pay her? Boy, bye. She walks out.

Okay, here’s how I’m going to do this. The thug Jim hired to take care of Veronica will be Thug 1. The French thug Veronica hired to take care of Thug 1 will be Thug 2. Kind of like Thing 1 and Thing 2. Hey, I’m doing the best I can. A car pulls into a parking garage. Thug 2 holds a gun on Thug 1, and tells him, get out of the car. Thug 1’s phone rings, and Thug 2 tells him, answer it. He does, and Jim says, the bitch just left house. He wants it done now. Thug 1 hangs up, and puts the phone on the ground. He asks if Thug 2 is going to kill him, and Thug 2 says, sorry, man. He knows how it goes. Thug 1 says, you live by the sword, you die by the sword, and Thug 2 says, that’s right. Turn around. Thug 1 grabs the hand holding the gun, and knocks it away. They fight, using a lot of kicks, which I always like. They fight for a while, and Thug 1, who looks like he might have gotten the worst of it, asks Thug 2 if he gives up.   

Benny calls Rianna, who says he can move in tomorrow. She needs to drop off the keys, and he suggests they meet at the house. She agrees, and he says he’ll be there shortly, but she says, no, tomorrow. He thanks her, and she says she’ll see him then. He sits on the bed, and she calls back. She says she wanted to tell him how sorry she was about what happened. No one ever stood up for her before. He says he wasn’t letting that happen, and she says she’s had to move four times. He says he’s sorry to hear that. What about killing Sandy’s…. She says she had an abortion. He was so abusive, she didn’t want a baby to be part of it. She’s regretted it every day, and thinks it’s God punishing her. He tells her, don’t feel that way, and she says she doesn’t know why she put that on him. She poured a drink… He says she shouldn’t drink alone, and she says she has no one else to drink with. He says he’ll come over, but she says, she’s alone and vulnerable. No. He tells her to send the address. She shouldn’t be alone. She says, okay; she’ll text him. He says he’ll clean up, and be over. Rianna texts Benny the address, and Candace walks into the hotel room. She tells Benny that he’s not going anywhere. That kid is serious. He says Sandy doesn’t know where he is; he’ll be fine. She says he just doesn’t listen, and he says he’ll be back, and leaves.   

Mitch walks into the Iron Bone, and sees Vinnie sitting in a booth. He sits across from Vinnie, and asks where Mama Rose is. Vinnie says she put him in charge, and Mitch says, she did? Vinnie asks if Mitch doubts him; never doubt him. Mama Rose is getting older. Mitch says, so Vinnie is the new Mama Rose? and Vinnie says, that’s right. Mitch says Vinnie wanted to talk to him, and Vinnie says, yeah. Come on. Let’s go to the office.   

In the office, Vinnie hands Mitch the phone, and says, talk to her. Mama Rose tells Mitch that she’s in Florida, and Vinnie is in charge. She’s tired. She’s not happy about what he did. Mitch asks, what did he do? and she says, Vinnie knows how to handle it. Talk to him. Mitch says, Mama…? and Vinnie asks if she hung up. Mitch says, yeah, and gives the phone back to Vinnie. Mitch says, so Vinnie is the new Mama Rose. Congratulations. Vinnie thanks him, and asks how he’s doing. Good? Mitch says he’s okay, and Vinnie wonders when was the last time Mitch had some real food, Italian food. Mitch says he’s good, and Vinnie sees he’s got a new phone. What’s with him? How did he get it? Mitch says, it was a gift from a friend, and Vinnie asks if it was Candace. Mitch is friends with her and her brother? Mitch says he is, and Vinnie says it’s good Mitch went to bat for them. Mitch told Jim that the family was protecting them. Does Mitch know how much Candace took from Jim? Mitch says he knows, but they’re good people. Vinnie asks if Mitch knows how many times Jim and David saved the family; Mitch’s uncle, his grandfather, Sandy, Sammy, his mom. Mitch says he didn’t know, and Vinnie says, they made evidence disappear. He’s in deep with Jim, and Mitch says, he didn’t know. Vinnie asks why Mitch lied to the family, and Mitch says he was just trying to protect his friend. Vinnie says Mitch shouldn’t have done that, and Mitch says he’s sorry. Vinnie says, him too. Now he has to punish Mitch for lying to the family, and Mitch says, all right. Whatever punishment Vinnie has is fine; he’ll take it. Vinnie says, it’s a delicate balance, and Mitch says, Candace brought them War, but Vinnie says they would have gotten War anyway. He’s already done her a lot of favors; she’s out. Mitch says, okay. He’ll go take his punch. Vinnie calls in Sal, who is pretty big, and Sal says, come on. Mitch goes with him.    

Outside the Iron Bone (I just like putting in Iron Bone as much as possible) Sal says, sorry, and Mitch says he’s got to do what he has to. Sal says, it is what it is, and Mitch says, just not the face. Give him a break. Sal says, sorry, bitch, and, along with two other guys, punches the sh*t out of Mitch’s stomach. Sal says, sorry, kid, and gives Mitch a punch in the face. The other two guys continue pummeling him.

Hanna is lying on the couch, and gets a collect call from Kathryn. She asks if Kathryn is doing all right, and Kathryn says she’d like a steak and a drink. Hanna says she can’t have that in there, and Kathryn says, apparently not. Did Hanna see Roderick? He’s still not answering his phone. Hanna says, mmm, and Kathryn asks what mmm means. Hanna hesitates, and Kathryn says tell her. She really likes him. What did Hanna see? Hanna says, he wasn’t by himself; he had a couple of women in there. Kathryn says, what? Dammit! Hanna says, sorry, and Kathryn says, put him out. Go with the Sheriff, and have him put out right now. Hanna says she’ll try tonight, but if not, first thing in the morning. Kathryn says, that’s the reason he’s not answering his phone; that bastard. How many? Hanna says, two, and Kathryn says, what?

Kathryn says, two in the bed, and Hanna says, yeah. Kathryn says, son of a bitch, and Hanna says she’s sorry. Kathryn says, not as sorry as he’s going to be. Hanna says Kathryn is really still married, and Kathryn says, don’t judge. Hanna say she’s not judging, and Kathryn asks if it’s too much to want be loved and love. Hanna says, no; it’s a wonderful thing. It just depends on how you get it. Kathryn says she knows Hanna’s not interested in the details, but it felt good to be held and feel loved, even if she was lying to herself. Life hasn’t been easy for her. Hanna says he can understand why Kathryn is saying that, and believes her, but she started off with more than most. Kathryn says, money doesn’t stop the pain, and Hanna says, she knows. Kathryn laughs, and asks what the hell is she doing? Hanna says Kathryn has too much on her mind to be thinking about all this, and Kathryn says she still wants Roderick’s ass out. Hanna says, okay, and Kathryn suggests Hanna call him now, and let her speak to him. Hanna puts Kathryn on hold, and calls Roderick. When Roderick answers, Hanna patches Kathryn through, and Kathryn says, get the hell out, you son of a bitch. He says, let him explain, but she says, there’s nothing to explain. He had women in her house. He says he didn’t; Hanna is lying. Kathryn says, is she? and he says his sister was there. The look Hanna gives the phone is priceless, and Kathryn says, his sister was in the bed with him. He says, she was on the couch. He knew Hanna was going to lie. He loves Kathryn. Kathryn says, does he now? and he says he does. He knew Hanna would lie, and he hates a liar. Kathryn says, so does she, and he asks if she’s out. She says, no, and he says he’s worried about her, and wants to see her. He asks if they allow conjugal visits, and again, Hanna’s face. Kathryn says, what she hates are liars, and he says, so does he, but she says he lied to her. A recording comes on, saying, there’s one minute remaining. Roderick asks how Kathryn is calling him, and she says she has a friend on the line. He asks, who? and Hanna says, the liar who told Kathryn he was in her house with two other women. Roderick does a face palm, and Kathryn tells him, get your sh*t and get out of my house, or the Sheriff will be there to throw you out. Wyatt tells Roderick, get the hell off the phone, and Kathryn asks if that’s Wyatt. Is that her son? She asks Hanna if Roderick hung up, and Hanna says he did. Kathryn asks if that was Wyatt, and Hanna says, it sounded like him. Kathryn wonders what the hell Wyatt is doing there, and asks Hanna to find out for her. Hanna says, okay, and Kathryn says, he’s supposed to be in the hospital. What’s going on? Hanna says she doesn’t know, and Kathryn says she’ll call back in a few hours. She owes Hanna so much. They hang up, and Hanna drags her ass back up off the couch. I know how she feels.

Thug 1 asks if Thug 2 gives up, but Thug 2 shakes his head. Thug 1 says, go, man, and Thug 2 says he’s going to die, but Thug 1 says, it will be no easy win. Thug 2 says he sees that. Military? Thug 1 says, Marines. Him? Thug 2 says he was in the French Navy. Respect. He wishes he was on Thug 1’s team. (I am not making this up; this scene is too funny.) Thug 1 says, that can be arranged, and Thug 2 says, how so? Thug 1 asks how much Veronica is paying him, and Thug 2 says, fifteen. What did he get? Thug 1 says, he got thirty, and Thug 2 says, he’s got to do this. He needs the money. Thug 1 says, unless Thug 2 takes the money, and just says he took care of it. Then he’ll take care of Veronica. It’s a win-win. Thug 2 says he likes it. What say they shake on it? He holds out his hand, but Thug 1 says, no. He doesn’t trust Thug 2 as far as he can kick him. Thug 2 says, smart man. So deal? Thug 1 says, deal, and Thug 2 tells him to get his gun, which ended up on the parking lot floor, along with Thug 2’s gun. Thug 1 picks up both guns, hands Thug 2 his gun, and they both get in the car.

Veronica walks into a gay dance club, and approaches the drag queen hostess. The hostess touches her arm, and Veronica says, don’t touch me. The queen says, I love your shoes, honey, and Veronica says, you’d never fit in them, honey. The queen asks if she can help Veronica, and Veronica says she wants a drink. Does she think they’ll have anything she can drink in there? The queen says, they’re dripping in divas. What does Veronica want? Veronica says she wants to see someone, but the queen says, no one is looking for bitches here. Veronica asks if they’re looking for pink unicorns, and the queen says, it’s gay pride every day here. She asks what Veronica wants, and Veronica says she’s looking for the owner. The queen says, he’s not here, and Veronica asks when he’ll be back. The queen says she doesn’t know, and Veronica says she’s not coming back. The queen says, good, and they both laugh. Veronica says, tell him to call her, and the queen says she’ll think about it. Veronica says, think, darling, and she needs to do something about those toes. Her, of all people, should wear closed toe shoes. The queen says, bitch, get the hell out, and Veronica says the queen doesn’t scare her. She can drag as good as the queen can. Veronica decides to go in, and the queen says, it’s ten dollars. Veronica says, honey, please, and keeps walking. The queen yells, there’s a homophobe bitch in the club. That bitch with the short hair. She calls for security, and Veronica walks up to a guy at the bar. He asks what Veronica wants, and she says she’s there to see him. Relax. It’s time. He says, for what? and she says she has something to tell him. He says he’s sorry he didn’t tell her that he was gay, but she says she doesn’t care about that. It was a long time ago. He says she made sure to ruin his life, and she says he did okay. He owns this place of debauchery. He says, that’s not how they see it, and she says she doesn’t care how they see it. Tell Miss Thing to make her drink… in a plastic cup, please. Forget it. Just open a new bottle, and give her the bottle. He says, okay. What do they need to talk about? She says she’ll give it to the queens. They sure can dance. He asks if she came to see them dance, and she wonders why anyone would look at them otherwise. She came to tell him something, but now she wants to dance. Where’s her drink? Someone brings her a bottle of what looks like vodka, and she slugs some back. He says he thought she wanted to talk, and she tells him, hold her pocketbook. He says, no, and she asks if he knows how expensive it is. He knows he wants to own it. She puts it on his arm, and he says it looks better on him. She says he looks all right, and yells, work it, bitch! Work it! She tells him that she can’t stand their gay asses, but they sure can dance. She works around the dance floor, and grabs him, dancing around him, as he stands there. The hostess queen, says, come on, sugar, and she and Veronica dance in the middle of the floor like it’s a gay Footloose. I wonder how the hell we got here, and if Veronica is a closet reverse drag queen. Veronica sashays out, and the hostess queen asks, who was that ignorant bitch? He says, it’s a long story. I’ll bet, and I wonder if somehow he’s Jeffrey’s father…

There’s a knock at the hotel room door, and Candace asks who it is. A voice says, maintenance, but Candace says she didn’t call for maintenance. Surprisingly, she opens the door, and it’s Conley. She asks who he is, and he says, Senator Westley. She says she told him that she didn’t want talk, but he says he only needs a minute. Please. She lets him in, and he thanks her. She asks what he wants, and he says Charles loves her (using the usual he instead of Charles). She says she’s heard that. First he sent Landon, now Conley. Conley says Charles didn’t send him, and she repeats that she doesn’t want to talk. Conley says Charles loves her; he’s sick without her. She says she doesn’t care, but Conley says he knows Charles really loves her, and with the turning tide of the press, he thinks she should reach out. She asks if he’s done, and he says he’s just started. He’s begging her. He came there hoping to change her mind. She says he won’t. Charles humiliated her. He put her in the trunk of a car, and smuggled her out of town. Conley says Charles was advised to. He knows Charles, and he’s a scared kid, trying to figure it out. Conley did research on her, and likes what he found. She’s a shark, and Charles needs a shark. She says, Charles is a shark. She’s seen how dangerous and cold he is. Conley says, only to protect himself; he’s a fighter. She says, let him fight for someone else, and Conley says he needs to share something. Charles’s wife didn’t die of natural causes. She committed suicide when Charles was at work. The kids found her; they were really young. He can’t imagine how difficult it must have been, and then Charles found Candace. She’s a girl with issues, but she won his heart. It’s been a long time since Conley has seen him like this. She woke him up. He asks her to please not tell anyone what he told her about his wife’s death. No one knows. He knows she lost a son, and understands grief. He wanted to tell her that she’s woken Charles up inside, and he cares way too much about it to let it die on the vine. He thanks her for listening, and tells her, have a good night. She says, him too, and he leaves. She sits on the bed, and ponders all of this.

Wyatt has lines of God-knows-what lined up to snort, along with a bottle of (I think) whiskey. Roderick says, hey, and Wyatt says, don’t bug him. Roderick asks if Wyatt wants to die. Does he know what that stuff is? Wyatt says he doesn’t care. Don’t say anything to him. Roderick says, that stuff will kill him, and Wyatt says, he’ll die a happy man. Roderick says, fine, and Wyatt says, go clean his kitchen. He starts to snort a line, and Roderick says, Mr. Cryer… Wyatt says, get out of his face, and Roderick tells him, his mother said he was angry. Wyatt asks why his mother was talking about him to Roderick. Shut up, and clean the kitchen. He pours more liquor into his glass, and Roderick asks if he’s doing downers and uppers at the same time. Wyatt says, it looks like it, and snorts a line. Roderick’s phone rings, and Wyatt says, don’t answer it. Roderick says Wyatt’s mom heard him, and Wyatt asks if she knows he’s there. Roderick says he guesses so, and Wyatt says he doesn’t give a damn. Roderick says Wyatt has problems, and Wyatt tells him to get more blow. Roderick asks if Wyatt has any idea how much he’s had, and Wyatt says he doesn’t give a damn. Roderick says, he’s going to die, and Wyatt says, go. Roderick says he has no more money, and Wyatt asks if his mother isn’t taking care of Roderick. Roderick says she wants him out; he has to leave. Wyatt says he knows where he can get money – his parents’ place. His mom has jewelry, and his dad has watches. They can sell them. Roderick says he’s not doing that, and Wyatt asks if he’s an honest whore now. Roderick repeats he’s not doing that, and Wyatt says he’ll do it himself. Roderick says, whatever, dude. He’s got to get out of there. Wyatt asks for his car keys back, and Roderick hands them over, saying, he can’t get far without…  Wyatt says, get out, and Roderick says Wyatt is going to die. Wyatt says, a happy man is he, and Roderick leaves. Wyatt talks nonsense to himself.

Back at the Iron Bone, Sandy walks into Vinnie’s office, holding an ice pack or something against his head. Vinnie asks, what the hell happened? and Sandy says, Mitch didn’t tell him? Vinnie says, no, and Sandy says, that kid Mitch has been protecting. Vinnie says, Benny? What about him? Sandy says, they got into it. Mitch’s boy did this. Vinnie says, Benny did that? He should whip Sandy’s ass for that. Sandy asks what he did, and Vinnie says, for coming in there looking like that. He knows what happened. Word gets around. Sandy says he wants Benny dead, and Vinnie says, so why doesn’t he do it? Sandy says he came to ask permission, and Vinnie says he’s got it. The two of them. Sandy says, okay, and Vinnie says, or is Sandy scared he can’t do it alone? Sandy says he’s not scared, and Vinnie says, okay, then do it. Kill them. He gives Sandy a gun, and says, do it. Sandy picks up the gun, and says, he’s dead. Vinnie says, don’t come back until he is. He wants him dead. Sandy nods, and leaves.

Next time, David tells Jim that Vinnie is now running things, Kathryn calls Jim to tell him about Wyatt, and Wyatt shows up at David. And Oscar returns! Only two more episodes before the finale.

🤬 I have to mention, I think since it’s their last season, they’re trying to squeeze in as many curse words as possible. I counted like 5700 bitches in this episode. Slight exaggeration, but there were a lot.

🗽 Postponement…

Unfortunately, my weekly Zoom meeting is at the same time Real Housewives of New York City is on. I DVR’d it, but don’t really want to see the sun come up as I go to sleep, so it’s something to look forward to for tomorrow, along with Beverly Hills. So until then, be safe, be pragmatic when necessary, and stay not testing things so much that they break, especially relationships.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Phyllis tells the gunman to please put the gun down. They don’t want any trouble. He says, empty the cashbox, and there won’t be any trouble. Sonny stands up, and yells, leave them alone!

Michael tells Willow, he was surprised to see Sasha there, and she says they were trying to figure out if their friendship can be repaired. He says, good. At least one of their relationships is being sorted out. She says, what about their relationship? Maybe it’s time to finally figure out what they mean to one another.

Tracy comes in, and Ned says he was worried about her. Didn’t she get his messages? She says, about Olivia wanting to have dinner? and he says, yes, to celebrate him adopting Leo. She says, obviously she’s there, and he says, obviously she didn’t return any of his calls. She said she was visiting Finn, but when he called Finn, Finn said she’d left a while ago. Where was she?

At the MetroCourt, Olivia thanks Robert for meeting her on such short notice. He says he missed her interfering in his private life, and telling him what he should be doing with Jackie. She says, then she can’t wait to tell him to quit stalling, and ask Jackie out for real, but that’s not why she asked him there. She needs a favor. He says, like what? and she says, teach her how to become a spy.

Josslyn, Cameron, and Trina walk into the Kingdom of the Moss Bowl (i.e. Sonny’s kitchen), and Trina says she’s glad Cameron caught up on his sleep. He slept through the entire senior assembly. Cameron says he didn’t, and Trina says, name one thing they said about being accepted to college. Josslyn says, never hold an assembly at night in the middle of winter when your stepfather has officially been declared missing and is presumed dead. She would have fallen asleep too, except for everyone offering their condolences. Trina says it’s the first time Josslyn has been back since her lockdown in November. Everyone just wants to make sure she’s okay. Josslyn says, honestly, it’s a lot. So many people are gone from her life.

Nina laughs over finding a varsity letter, and looks at the half-heart necklace. Ava comes in, and asks what she’s got there.

Jax sees Carly at the MetroCourt bar, and asks what she’s doing there. He thought she’d be home for a few days. She says she’d like nothing more than to lie in her bed, and scream and cry, and he asks why she isn’t. She says because Cameron and Trina wanted Josslyn to go to the senior assembly, but Josslyn wanted to stay home and take care of her. The only way to get her to go was to come there. He says she could have stayed home with Josslyn, and they could have grieved together, but Carly says she doesn’t know how to grieve for Sonny.

Dude tells Lenny, give him the money. Sonny says, these people don’t want any trouble, and puts his hand on dude’s shoulder. Dude turns around and says, now would be a good time for Sonny to shut up. Give him the cash. Sonny punches him a few times in the face, and knocks dude to the ground. Sonny picks up the gun, and stands over him. He believes dude owes these good people an apology.

Josslyn tells Cameron, she’d put her journal away. Maybe it’s time to take it out. Cameron says he thought… She didn’t throw it out? She says, of course (🍷) not. She put it in the basement with a bunch of stuff her mom was keeping, like her baby blankets and favorite toys. Why would he think she’d throw it away? He says he doesn’t know. She used to take it everywhere, then one day she stopped. He jumped to the wrong conclusion. She says, no. She was saving it to read and look back on, but she doesn’t want to stop writing. She thinks it might be helpful to write about Sonny.

Nina tells Ava, it’s stuff she meant to put away. She was sorry to hear about Sonny and Julian. How is Ava doing? Ava says she’s doing okay. Avery didn’t know her brother well, but she loved her daddy. She’s not crying, but she’s looking for her necklace. She wants to wear it for her daddy. Nina asks, what happened to it? and Ava says, she doesn’t know. Carly said she was having it repaired, but Ava called the jeweler, and it was picked up weeks ago. Nina says, with everything going on, Carly probably forgot or misplaced it. Ava says, all she knows is, she doesn’t want to butt heads with Carly; they’re already doing that over the custody agreement. Nina says, of course (🍷). Sonny is gone. Ava says she has full custody now, and Nina says, and Carly resents it. Ava says, that’s an understatement. As much as Carly would like to get into it with her, she has no grounds, and Ava doesn’t want Avery to get caught in the middle of something. She wonders if Nina could broach the subject, and suggest Carly back the hell off.

Jax asks if Carly is just going to drown herself in work, and she says she should be calling people about Sonny’s memorial service, but he hasn’t even been officially declared dead. Jax asks if they didn’t reclassify the search to search and recovery. Doesn’t that indicate Sonny is considered… Carly says, no. She spoke to an attorney, and people aren’t declared officially dead until they’ve been missing three years. The only exception is in a disaster or catastrophe. He asks if the bridge collapse wouldn’t be considered one, but she says, it’s up to the person’s next of kin to make that decision. She can’t do that right now. She starts to cry. 

Robert asks Olivia to tell him what trouble she’s gotten herself into now, and she says, now? Does he think she’s always in trouble? Actually, she’s fine; she’s asking for a friend. He says, anyone he knows? and she says, Alexis. She knows his office is pursuing the drunk driving charge, and he says he can’t talk about it. She says he also knows Alexis already turned down the plea deal. He asks if Olivia can tell him why she did, and she says, that’s why she needs his help. Alexis swears something about the incident smells like a rat. He asks what the rat’s name is, and she says, Tracy.

Tracy tells Ned, she didn’t realize she had a curfew, and he says she’s avoiding his question, which only makes him more worried and suspicious. She says she was checking on Alexis, and tells him, don’t look so surprised. Contrary to what he believes, she has a heart. He says he knows she does, but she was very cavalier earlier when talking about Alexis facing criminal charges. What changed?   

Willow says she knows she and Michael agreed to sort out their feelings for Chase and Sasha before their own future. Michael asks if she hasn’t done that already, since she and Chase kissed last night?

Sonny stands over dude with the gun, and says he needs to know dude is sorry and won’t come back. Otherwise, he’ll have to find another way to discourage him. Dude says he’s sorry. Let him walk away, and he’s gone. Sonny yells, get out! and dude scrambles to his feet and can’t get out the door fast enough. Sonny puts the gun on the bar, and tells Lenny that he might want to hold on to it in case dude comes back. Phyllis says, thank God Sonny was there. That guy would have shot Lenny. Lenny says, most people would be intimidated by a man with a gun, but it didn’t seems to be a problem for Sonny.   

Carly tells Jax that she doesn’t know how  to have Sonny officially declared dead; it’s like giving up on him. He says she doesn’t have to rush. It’s about her and her family. Don’t do anyone’s timetable except her own. She says it  doesn’t matter unless they find a body, and he says, it might actually be best if they do. That way she’d have closure. She says she can’t shake the feeling that the bridge collapse and Sonny drowning is the same thing that happened to Nelle.

Nina tells Ava that she and Carly are cordial, even friendly, but she has no special influence. Ava says she does have influence over someone who has influence over Carly, but Nina says she’s not putting Jax in the middle. That could make it worse, and Carly will be less inclined to cooperate with Ava. Ava says Nina is probably right, and asks if she’s putting her personal stuff away. Nina says, it’s time to close this chapter, and start a new one, and Ava asks if the chapter ending is the search for her daughter. Nina says, that chapter led to a dead end, but the information she found was more than worth the journey. Ava says, tell her, and Nina says, Phyllis Caulfield, who took care of her for years, told her that her child was adopted by a couple in Florida. Ava asks if she knows their names, but Nina says, unfortunately not. So she’s choosing to believe her child grew up in a good home, and is living a happy, purposeful life. Jax encouraged her to believe that too. Ava asks if Nina was the one who wanted to give up, and Nina says, Jax was only putting into words what she’d been thinking. She needs to stop chasing shadows, and believe her daughter is living the life she was meant to live, and everything worked out for the best. Ava says, sounds healthy and well-adjusted, but is Nina sure giving up the search is what she wants, and not what Jax wants for her?

Alone with Trina in the kitchen, Cameron says he blew his Bluetooth speaker. They could use some music. He thinks he made a mistake, talking to Josslyn and assuming things would be normal. Trina asks, what’s been normal about the past year? and he says he was hoping for a fresh start. Josslyn comes back, and says her journal is gone.   

Robert asks if Olivia thinks Tracy was wrong for turning Alexis in for drunk driving, and she says, of course (🍷) not… if that’s what happened. He asks if she doubts it, and she says, parts of Tracy’s story don’t add up. He asks, what parts? and she says, if she tells him, he’ll feel obligated to investigate. She doesn’t want him to, until she has actual evidence. He says, she’s not going to try and hack into Tracy’s email. Anything she tells him will be inadmissible, not to mention illegal. She asks if there’s anything she can do to prove Tracy set Alexis up, and he says, the only way she can confirm it is to have Tracy admit it. She asks, how? and he says he can teach her the fundamentals.   

Tracy tells Ned, it’s true that if Alexis legal problems take her out of circulation, she’s less likely to blab about him, but she’s concerned about Alexis’s drinking. And she’s not the only one. Olivia and Sam were there tonight. Ned says, Olivia was at Alexis’s house? and Tracy says, yes. Olivia has a kind heart, and she was worried. The good news is, Alexis had gone up to bed. She doubts Alexis could have mentioned their one-night stand to Olivia.

Willow tells Michael, she’s so sorry… He says she has nothing to be sorry about. Their marriage was always an arrangement to make sure Nelle didn’t get custody of Wiley, and they succeeded. They already acknowledged they still have feelings for Chase and Sasha, so he’s not surprised part of her would want to be with Chase. She says, part of him wants to be with Sasha too. Sasha was the one by his side when the search for his father ended. He says, she was, and he does still have feelings; they knew that. Willow asks, what about their feelings for each other?

Michael says he always cared about Willow as a friend, and she says, same. He says, with everything that’s happened – the custody battle for Wiley, and Nelle kidnapping Wiley – he came to see her as someone who loves Wiley as much as he does, and cared about her as more than a friend. Willow says she feels the same way, and he says, and their feeling deepened, but they were created in a vacuum. They were playing the roles of husband and wife, and thought they’d been betrayed by Chase and Sasha, when Chase and Sasha were actually protecting them and Wiley. He wonders if the circumstances had been different, would they ever have been more than friends?

Olivia arrives home, and says she’s glad they’re both there. Are they still up for a celebration about Leo? Ned says, all of Leo’s favorites are on the menu, and she says she’ll check, and make sure Leo is still good with Ned adopting him so soon after Julian’s death. Ned says he’d like to talk to Leo first, as his about-to-be father. Olivia tells him to let her know when she can join them, and he goes upstairs. Olivia asks Tracy if Leo’s granny has any last minute advice before he officially becomes a Quartermaine, and Tracy says, first, refrain from calling her granny. And second, if Leo needs any help. she’ll stop anyone who gets in the way of family. Olivia says she has no doubt Tracy would.

Cameron asks if Josslyn thinks Carly might have thrown out her journal, but she says, no. Carly knew what it looked like, and knew what it meant to her. She’d never do that. Cameron tells her, chill out; it’s probably somewhere. He wants to get coffee before curfew; he’s buying. Trina asks if Josslyn is coming, but Josslyn tells them to go. She wouldn’t be such great company. She’d just be thinking and wondering about Sonny.

Nina tells Ava, stopping the search was her own decision. She and Jax discussed it, and he helped her realize that her daughter’s life was her own, and she has every reason to believe her daughter has a good life. She’s having a good life. She runs the magazine, has Charlotte, who she loves, and her nephew James, who she loves. And Jax, the most incredible amazing man. Ava says it sounds like they’re getting serious, and Nina says she thinks so. Jax has been making her a part of his family, which she loves. Ava asks if she gets along with Josslyn, and Nina asks why Ava seems skeptical. Ava says, Josslyn is a lot like her mom. She’s probably used to coming first with Jax, and might be threatened. Nina says, not at all. Josslyn has accepted that she’s part of Jax’s life. Ava says, a drama-free relationship, and she and Nina high-five. Nina tells Ava, say what she will about Carly – and she has – she and Jax have done an excellent job in raising Josslyn. With all the drama, Josslyn is more of a peacemaker than Carly or her. She asks what Ava is thinking, and Ava says Nina has given her a terrific idea.

Carly tells Jax, she keeps going over the circumstances of Sonny’s death; Sonny standing on the bridge, the bridge collapsing, Sonny falling into the water, and fighting hard… Jax says, don’t, but she says, it brings back the situation with Nelle. She’s not sure she believes in karma, but it must be karmic payback for keeping the truth from Nina. He says, Sonny’s death was a tragedy, but it wasn’t punishment for not telling Nina that Nelle was her daughter. Is she having second thoughts? Carly asks, is he?  

Sonny says he can’t explain how he knew how to handle the guy; he just did it. Lenny says he seems proficient in firearms, but Phyllis says, it doesn’t matter. He put his own life at risk for her, Lenny, and their business. She thanks him, and he says he’s glad he could help. Lenny asks what the plan is. Where is he going now?

Jax tells Carly, he thinks it’s too late to tell Nina the truth, but Carly says, it must complicate things with Nina. He says he keeps asking himself if he’s like Valentin, keeping the truth from Nina to keep her in his life. Carly says he’s nothing like Valentin. And as far as withholding goes, people say they love honesty, but does she think they should be 100% honest with their partner? No. Sometimes when you’re in love, there need to be secrets. He says he never told Carly that he was in love, but she says he didn’t need to. He smiles.

Nina looks at the half-heart necklace, and puts it on. She smiles.

Tracy says she’s going to get ready for dinner, but Olivia says, before she goes, she something to talk to Tracy about. Olivia remembers Robert telling her, in setting up the mark, get them on your side. Don’t let them know you’re buttering them up. Everyone responds well to a compliment. Olivia tells Tracy that her scarf is so chic, and makes her look five years younger. Tracy preens, and thanks her, saying Olivia might want to borrow it. Maybe it will make her look five years younger too. Olivia thinks about Robert saying, if that doesn’t work, have them do you a favor. It sounds counterintuitive, but people are more likely to have warm feelings for someone they’ve done a favor for. Olivia tells Tracy, damn. She forgot. She’s supposed to have a witness when they sign the papers for Leo’s adoption. Does she think Monica will be back soon? Tracy says she’ll be a witness, and Olivia says, she doesn’t mind? Tracy tells her not to give it a second thought. Besides her and Ned, there’s no one who cares more about Leo becoming a Quartermaine than she does. Olivia remembers Robert telling her, now that their defenses are lowered, slowly turn the conversation around to the subject you’re investigating. Olivia thanks Tracy, and says, it’s a weight off. Tracy says, no big deal, and Olivia says she’s glad Tracy feels that way. The whole thing with Alexis has got her distracted as hell. Tracy asks if that’s because Olivia went to see Alexis; she didn’t realize they were so close. Olivia says, they’re not close enough for her to insist Alexis get help, but it makes her sad. It’s bad enough Alexis got behind the wheel of a car. Imagine what would have happened if Tracy hadn’t been there. She thinks back to Robert saying, then take them out. She  tells Tracy, part of her wishes Alexis hadn’t been sober enough to disable the alarm. The police would have shown up, and prevented her from getting behind the wheel. She remembers Robert saying, and catch them in a lie. Tracy says she wishes she hadn’t let Alexis disable the alarm, and Olivia flashes back to her and Robert clinking glasses.

Sonny tells Lenny, he doesn’t know where he’s going from there, but Phyllis says she does. They have a room above the bar they rent out from time to time. It’s empty at the moment, and Sonny can stay until he figures out something. Sonny says he can’t take any more charity, but she tells him, who said charity? He needs a job for the time being; he can work there. Lenny is always complaining that he needs help with the bar, and by the looks of it, Sonny knows how to handle himself if trouble comes again. Sonny says, it’s awfully nice, and she says, it’s the least they can do. There’s a change of clothes in the dresser. He can borrow them for the time being. It’s upstairs, the last room on the left. He thanks them again, and goes upstairs.

Jax goes to Nina’s office, and asks if she’s ready for dinner. She says, just about. She was looking at old stuff; memorabilia her mother left, and she found this. She holds up a varsity letter S, and says she played volleyball. She knows Josslyn is on that track, and thought maybe she’d want it for good luck. Jax is sure she’d love it, but is Nina sure she doesn’t want to give it to Charlotte? She says, Charlotte made it clear that the only sport she’s interested in is riding horses. She doesn’t think they give out varsity letters for that. Jax says, probably not. He’ll make sure Josslyn gets it. Unless Nina wants to give it to her. Nina says, she’d love to, since she’s going to be part of his family in the long haul, right?

Ava knocks on Sonny’s kitchen door, and Josslyn says her mom isn’t there. She’s at the MetroCourt if Ava wants to drop in. Ava says she actually came to speak to Josslyn. She wanted Josslyn to know that she’ll always make time for her to maintain a relationship with Avery. Josslyn says, anything else? and Ava says she knows it’s an unfortunate time to bring it up, but Avery is so upset about what happened to Sonny. She keeps talking about a necklace she wants to wear. Carly sent it to be repaired, but she knows Carly already picked it up. It’s a half-heart on a gold chain. Does it sound familiar? Josslyn says, no, and Ava says she doesn’t want to bother Josslyn’s mother, but she’s desperate to help Avery through the next few days. Finding it would be a godsend.   

At the bistro, Trina says when Josslyn started talking about her journal being missing, Cameron got quiet fast. Any particular reason why? He says maybe he knows what happened to it. Maybe it was stolen. She says, and he knows this how? He says the person who stole it showed it to him, and she asks, who? He says, Dev, and she asks why Dev would do that. He says he doesn’t know. Dev said he found it after Josslyn threw it out. It was obviously a lie, and he stole it. Dev betrayed Josslyn’s trust, but if he tells her the truth, it will ruin Josslyn’s memory of Dev. She asks what he’s going to do, and he tells her, the way he sees it, there are two choices. Let Josslyn keep the good memories of Dev, or tell her the truth.

Olivia says, so Alexis did turn off the alarm. She was confused about that. Tracy says, how so? and Olivia says Tracy seemed surprised to hear about the security system. Plus the coffee was out on the counter, with a big sign that said coffee on it. Tracy laughs, and tells Olivia, what can she say? Ned comes back, and says he had a chat with Leo. Leo misses his dad, but he’s absolutely delighted to officially join the family and have Ned as his new dad. Ned and Olivia hug, and Olivia looks at Tracy, who forces a smile.   

Willow says she sees Michael’s point. What happened between them was a false reality. He says it still would be, if Chase and Sasha hadn’t made a sacrifice to save Wiley. Willow says, exactly. Their anger and heartbreak opened the door. They owe Chase and Sasha, and each other, to try and get back the love they all had. Michael says, okay, and she says, unless that’s not what he wants. Zzzzz… All right already.

Trina tells Cameron, here’s the deal. There’s a chance Josslyn will forget by tomorrow. Then they’ll forget too. He says, but if she asks again? and Trina says, they tell her everything they know. Deal? He says, deal.

Ava is meditating on the moss, when Josslyn comes back. She says she went through her mother’s jewelry box, and found a necklace she’s never seen. Ava asks if it’s a half-heart on a gold chain, and Josslyn says, yes. Ava thanks her, and holds out her hand. Josslyn says she’s doing this for Avery, not Ava, because every time she sees Ava, she thinks about Morgan losing his mind because Ava switched his meds. Then she thinks of Morgan stealing Julian’s car and driving away because he literally couldn’t think straight. Her brother is dead because of Ava, and nothing she does will ever change that. She gives Ava the necklace, and Ava thanks her and leaves.

Nina says she’s sorry. She didn’t mean to put Jax on the spot. Just forget what she said. He tells her, he’s not forgetting. His family is her family. She says, it’s okay, and he says he loves her.   

Carly sits at the MetroCourt with a drink, remembering Sonny telling her that he loves and appreciates her. There’s no one he’d rather walk down this crazy road with.   

Lenny asks if Phyllis is sure about this guy. He knew how to subdue an attacker, which makes him some kind of expert on one side of the law or the other. She says she doesn’t care about who he was in the past, but who he is now. He saved them when he could have walked away. They owe him a chance. He asks, what happens when that thug comes back with a few friends? Sonny comes downstairs, and thanks them for the clothes and the job offer, but he doesn’t want to be any more trouble. Phyllis tells him, don’t be silly. They need the help. Can he start tonight? He smiles.  

Michael tells Willow, what he wants is what’s best for everyone; to be back to normal, making it right with Chase and Sasha, and easing the heartbreak. She’ll always be Wiley’s mom, but he doesn’t regret a single moment of what happened. She says, her neither, and he guesses they shouldn’t put it off any longer. They need to sign the annulment papers.   

Tracy says, clearly, Olivia has something she wants to say to her. Just come out and say it. Olivia says, okay. What actually happened the night Alexis drove her car off the road?

Tomorrow, Jason asks if it’s a bad time, Cameron asks if it’s because of the cancer, Britt wonders what she’s being accused of, and Olivia questions Tracy.

Below Deck

We backtracked a little, and revisited Rachel getting on stage, and telling the band that she wanted dirty, nasty-ass music. Know who you are, and get it done. She repeats, if they’re making music, she wants dirty nasty-ass music. Eddie wants to walk away from the situation; it makes his skin crawl. Rachel tells the band to do Walking After Midnight, and tells the band, google it. In Francesca’s interview, she says Rachel is embarrassing them all. She’s the head of a department, and older than her. She’s exhausted from babysitting people. She tells Rachel that she can’t be up there swearing and stuff. Eddie says, it’s not effing funny. When she’s sober again, someone needs to tell her that she’s a monster when she drinks. Rachel finally passes out, and Rob signals Eddie, asking if he wants to go paddle-boarding. Elizabeth enjoys drinks with James, and says she wants to party. She thinks Francesca looks left out, but doesn’t think Francesca would be receptive to her right now. James thinks Francesca would start an argument for no reason. He asks what Elizabeth is doing after the season, and she says she has to go to a cousin’s wedding. He says he wants to go with her, and she says he’d have to propose first. In James’s interview, he says he’s interested in Elizabeth, but she believes in fate, true love, and destiny, which makes him laugh. But it’s nice to let his guard down. She makes him smile. Rachel wakes up, and eats a pastry.

Rob, Eddie, and Ashling watch the sunset. Rob says he lost his best bud to lots of drugs, and thinks of him when he sees a it. In his interview, he tells us not to take life for granted. It’s a beautiful adventure, and everything that happens creates a lesson to learn and grow from. (Thank you, Helen Keller.) Sometimes you need to just have a beer and put your toes in the water; keep it fresh. The crew gets ready for dinner.

At the restaurant bar, Elizabeth says James is going to marry her, and Ashling asks how long it takes to get a green card. Rachel says, James is a douche, and they sit for dinner. Rachel starts cursing immediately. In Eddie’s interview, he says, f*** my life. Rachel says she’s mad at Elizabeth. Why is she going with that dude? Elizabeth asks if Rachel doesn’t like James; she likes him a lot. James tells them to do him a favor, and don’t talk about him. In his interview, he says, Rachel has a drink, and wants to tear people’s heads off. She’s an a-hole. Eddie suggests they stop talking about James. James says he’d been helping Rachel, so one less job for him. Rachel says, bleepity-bleep-bleep-bleep. She’d rather flick her own bean than deal with him in a goddam conversation. Where do these people find these phrases I’ve never heard? She tells Elizabeth that she can smell James from a mile away, and Elizabeth says she’s being harsh. What did James do to her?  Rachel says, he’s a douche, and Francesca suggests this is a conversation they should have back on the boat.

Elizabeth gets up, and steps outside for a cigarette. Rachel follows. Elizabeth says Rachel doesn’t know James the way she does. Rachel says she doesn’t like him, and Elizabeth says she thinks it was the first impression. At the table, James says it puts him off Elizabeth. Izzy thinks Rachel is crying out for something, and Eddie says, probably another drink. In James’s interview, he says Elizabeth should have stayed quiet or talked behind his back, but she did the complete opposite. When they go back to the taxis, James deliberately avoids going with Elizabeth, who is the only one who gets in a taxi with Rachel. Elizabeth says, f*** that, and Rachel says, he can s*ck my d*ck. In the other taxi, James says he doesn’t think Elizabeth is going to be his girl after that. And he’s not helping Rachel again. Rachel tells Elizabeth, there’s not enough Botox for her to facially give a f***. In Francesca’s interview, she says it’s like having a drunk college roommate with Rachel. She needs Rachel, and has no choice but to work with her. At least she’s not drunk on charter. That would be an effing nightmare.

The next morning everyone stumbles out of bed. In Rachel’s interview, she says she can’t remember anything. It was a recipe for disaster, and she feels awkward, but let’s just move on. Eddie says he’s too old for this sh*t. In Eddie’s interview, he says, Izzy doesn’t seem to be getting better. It sounds like a cold, but with the virus going around, he’s worried. It’s serous sh*t. He tells her that she should see a doctor. Rachel goes looking for provisions, and Elizabeth wonders why she’s alone. She didn’t want Rachel to go off by herself, and no one likes her now. Eddie says maybe she should apologize to James. Rachel was bashing him, and she didn’t back him up. In Elizabeth’s interview, she says she feels bad that James would think for a second she wouldn’t stand by her man. She runs upstairs, and tells him that she didn’t mean not to back him up. She’s sorry, and wants to make up for it. She’ll tell Rachel to STFU. In James’s interview, he says, after everything that was said, now he doesn’t trust her, but what’s the point of causing drama? He says he’ll catch her later. Eddie tells Izzy to get up and get dressed; he made an appointment with the doctor for her. In Izzy’s interview, she says she’s at the point where she thinks maybe she should go. She doesn’t want to be paralyzed again.

The crew eats take-out in the crew mess, and Eddie says, it’s a civilized lunch. Rachel radios for a hand on the dock with the provisions, but no one responds. Captain Lee radios that it requires a response from somebody, and in his interview, wonders if he’s the only one with a radio that works. Everyone knows how he feels about that. There’s definitely something going on. He doesn’t know what it is, but you bet your ass he’s going to find out. He radios Francesca and Eddie to meet him.

Francesca tells Captain Lee, it was a great day off, for the most part, and he says, let’s hear it. Eddie says, the chef has a difficult time playing with others. Work is one thing, but when the alcohol is flowing, she’s negative and toxic. Francesca says, she directs it toward the crew members, and it makes everyone uncomfortable. The captain says, with the virus, the odds of them getting someone aren’t good. Good chefs are hard to find. The devil he has performs well when she’s sober. He thinks they should put it on the shelf. He doesn’t want to run the risk of having no chef on board. Eddie and Francesca agree. Elizabeth tells Ashling that she likes James more and more. James comes into the crew mess, and wonders why they get quiet when he comes out. He winks at Ashling, and moves along, and Elizabeth wonders why the wink. She asks if James has been flirting with Ashling, but Ashling says she doesn’t know. She feels like he does it to everyone. In Elizabeth’s interview, she says she’s been in scenarios with others who she felt couldn’t be trusted around her boyfriend. Captain Lee calls Francesca, Eddie, and Rachel for a preference sheet meeting.

Izzy tells Eddie, the bad news is, he’s stuck with her as a deckhand. The good news is she has a double kidney infection, a UTI, and strep throat. She got a whole bunch of drugs, and needs to be on bed rest for 24 hours. After that, she should be okay. Eddie tells her to get in bed, and drink some effing water.

Rachel has no hangover, adding to my theory that alcoholics don’t suffer them. The captain says the primaries are Chris and Erica. Chris owns a pipeline maintenance company, and is bringing son Sam and his wife Lindsay, and some friends, along with the queen bee of the house, a 4-pound teacup Yorkie, GG. He says Eddie knows what that means, and Eddie says, go poo-poo, GG. Erica also wants a cowboy themed party the first night. In Francesca’s interview, she says she doesn’t know much about cowboys. They like cool hats, ranch dressing and root beer (!), and have sheriffs. The captain says he’s been invited to dinner both nights. Eddie says, they have one more to get through after this without killing each other.

We see Captain Lee pacing around the bridge. In his interview, he says, with Rachel, he sees someone with all the talent in the world who squanders it. She reminds him of his son. Francesca comes in, and he asks if she’d like a glass of wine. They toast to a successful rest of the season. He asks how things are other than the chef, and says, when she’s in the galley, Rachel has blinders on; she’s laser focused. And she’s very bright. He asks if this is the first time it’s happened, but Francesca says it’s happened before. He says, you can’t reason with idiots; you might as well talk to yourself in the mirror. Rachel isn’t going to hear it until she’s in a place of sobriety. He used to know a guy like that. His youngest son passed away last year. He found him dead of a drug overdose; opioids. In his interview, the captain says it was the worst day of his life. If he’d gotten home earlier… He doesn’t know. Everything is so fresh and raw. It’s hard to imagine surviving something like this. He tells Francesca, it’s the last thing he sees before he goes to bed, and the first thing he sees in the morning. Every day is a struggle. Parents aren’t designed to bury their children. He doesn’t know if he’ll ever get over it. It’s really hard, but it’s life. She says she’s sorry, and he says, him too.    

Francesca asks Elizabeth to sort crew uniforms, and provisions come in. Ashling says she feels like sh*t. She thinks she ate something bad. It’s a half hour until the guests’ arrival, and the crew gives the boat a final check. They gather on deck, and even have dog champagne for GG. Here come the guests, and all I see is that teeny weeny dog – she’s so little! Captain Lee welcomes them to Antigua. He says they’ll get the luggage on board, and get the hell out of Dodge. Francesca gives them the tour, and finds out that GG is short for Georgia. This dog will be all I care about for the rest of the show. Ashling thinks guest Justin looks like he’s ready to get messy. Izzy says the drugs finally kicked in, and she’s feeling fine. Just in time for the next charter. She’s thinking of that sweet, sweet money. The boat pulls out, and Ashling tells Francesca she’s not feeling well. Rachel isn’t either. Eddie fawns over GG, as I would, and Izzy announces that she hasn’t pooped. James tells her that he didn’t need to hear that, and in his interview, says Rob is his boy. He’s not too serious, and they have the same personality. It works. James realizes it sounds like he’s in love with Rob.   

Rachel says she and Ashling aren’t viral, and in her interview, says she’s got bubble guts, and can’t be held accountable for the smell. The guests longue on deck. Ashling thinks she has a UTI, and Elizabeth tells her to chug cranberry juice. (Please, ladies, don’t assume that will cure you.) Eddie and the deckhands (sounds like a rock group) put the toys in the water. In Eddie’s interview, he says Izzy being sick was terrible. She’s a total badass now. Her confidence is up, and he can tell it’s what she wants to be doing. GG goes potty on a weewee mat that looks like a patch of grass. In Francesca’s interview, she says it’s taking a lot of her energy to push Elizabeth. She needs to figure out what’s going on with Ashling. It’s going to break her – again. The guests mess around on the jet skis.   

Rachel tells Francesca that her stomach is still dodgy, but if it gets worse she’ll take Imodium. In her interview, she says her stomach is so messed up. No pun intended, but she’s feeling like sh*t. In Ashling’s interview, she says guest Justin is flirting with her. Guests get smitten, and she has to keep it professional, but if it wasn’t a charter, she might go there. Really? I see she’s not picky. He kind of looks like someone who lives in his mom’s basement and plays video games all day. In Rachel’s interview, she says she worked for a boss out of Dallas. They like good, simple food, but good quality. She asks Eddie if someone can help rip lobsters apart, and he tells her that they’re busy now, but he’ll send someone later. Rob goes to help, and Francesca tells Elizabeth to check the laundry after every break. Guest Drew puts his cowboy hat on, and the guests get duded up for dinner. Izzy points out that it’s a full moon, and says no wonder the energy is crazy. James says she sounds like Elizabeth, and he doesn’t need this. Francesca reminds the captain that dinner is in fifteen minutes. He asks if it’s the cowboy thing, and I laugh at his lack of enthusiasm. Eddie says Captain Lee has to bust out his pythons.  

Francesca gives canapes to the guests, and Rachel does some grilling. Eddie says he’d love to have a lead deckhand who could pick up the slack, but no one is getting that title yet. The guests sit for dinner, and Captain Lee joins them. One of the guests says, bone apple tea. They begin to eat, and the captain says, it must be good. All he hears is the silverware. Francesca thinks the guests will be going to bed early. Ashling asks Elizabeth how things are going with James, and she says he’s not talking to her. Izzy thinks he’s immature, and Elizabeth says, it’s frustrating and weird. Everyone goes to bed, except for Elizabeth, who finishes cleaning up. James joins her, and she says she likes him, and he says he likes her too. In his interview, he says, he does want it to carry on, but she didn’t have his back. Him and his emotional baggage. Instead of working harder to fix things, he pulls back. It’s a defense mechanism, and he’s in no rush to change. Elizabeth texts someone that she’s struggling with a UTI.  

Francesca says, Rachel is sick, but pushing through; Ashling is sick, but pushing through; and Elizabeth is taking advantage of the situation. I don’t see this, and I’m really starting to believe Francesca just wants to pick on her. Elizabeth asks if Francesca thinks she can get some antibiotics, and Ashling says, they’re all falling apart. Francesca tells Captain Lee that they should get a doctor, and he wonders what’s going on. In the captain’s interview, he says he’s at his wit’s end. He might as well have a doctor on speed dial. Francesca tells Eddie that she’s getting a doctor on board, and Rachel tells him that she and Ashling have tummy bugs, and Elizabeth has a UTI. Francesca calls Dr. Williams, who says she’s available. Francesca sends Eddie to pick her up, and Rachel begins today’s breakfast special of Belgian waffles.

In the crew mess, James asks for Rob’s phone, and says he’s double-tapping all the fit birds. His phone is full of nothing but girls. Elizabeth says she can’t deal with this sh*t, and leaves. Izzy tells James that he needs to be considerate, and James says he forgot Elizabeth was there. In Elizabeth’s interview, she says, what in the actual f***? Right in front of her like they’re nothing. It was super insulting. She wonders if Rachel is right. Ashling tells James, he ignored Elizabeth the whole time she was there, and James says they’re acting like he did something wrong. Izzy says he did, and he says that’s why he doesn’t want a girlfriend. Izzy says he needs to have consideration for other people’s feelings.   

Next time, dog poopy on deck, Eddie thinks maybe Izzy can be a lead deckhand, Francesca tells Elizabeth to take accountability, and says she’s had enough.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

While my weeks are usually a blur of going from one thing to the next, this week has been a particularly demanding one. Which is my excuse for being late to the party today, but not by much. Here’s what you need to know. Molly thought Kristina should be at the intervention, but Sam nixed the idea since she’s a control freak. Diane arrived, bringing Valentin, which didn’t make Sam and Molly happy. Sonny found Dante punching the heavy bag, and Dante admitted to having Lulu on his mind. Elizabeth told Franco that she’d made an appointment with Patrick Drake for him, and said they’d be leaving next week. At The Floating Rib, Lulu told Laura that she still loved Dante, but she loved Dustin too. Laura said Dante was part of her past, and she couldn’t erase that, but she had to decide who was right for her future. Cameron and Dev went to The Rib, and Cameron told Dev that Franco’s brain tumor had returned. Julian met Cyrus at the pier, carrying the bomb in a backpack, and said he wasn’t blowing up a bar full of people. He wanted Cyrus to take the bomb back. And away we go.

Jason tells Danny, it’s all about the angles. He needs practice and skill, and to keep a cool head. He asks if Danny is getting tired, but Danny says he’s glad they’re hanging out. He thinks Grandma Alexis is acting weird. His mom tried to hide it, but he can tell she’s upset. Jason says when he sees Danny’s mom upset, his instinct is help and try to fix it. Sometimes the best way to help is to just let some know you’re there, and let the person figure it out for themselves. Danny says his mother isn’t worried about herself. She’s worried about his grandma’s drinking. 

Sam asks why Diane invited Valentin, especially tonight. Diane says her best friend has fallen off the wagon. She’d be friends with the devil himself to help get her back on. Valentin says he’s enjoying his newfound friendship, but is this about him? He thought it was about Alexis. Sam says, it’s a delicate situation. She’s not sure his presence will help. Valentin says he knows Alexis in a way they don’t, and won’t judge her, and Diane tells them, Valentin can probably get through to Alexis easier than they can. What will it be? Can they tolerate Valentin for the sake of their mother?   

Cyrus tells Julian, he has the wrong idea. No savvy businessman would accept collateral damage. If they wanted to take Jason out, they’d arrange it when he was alone at a meeting in a closed bar after hours. A business meeting requires preparation, so everything will be in place when the time comes. Until then, a package is just a package. Julian asks if Cyrus is telling him it won’t go off until Jason is alone. Fine. Cyrus gives Julian a phone, and says his burner number is already programmed into it. Call him when it’s done. Cyrus leaves, and Alexis comes around the corner. She says fancy meeting him there, and Julian says, it’s a bit of a surprise. Alexis says imagine her surprise seeing him and Cyrus together.

On the phone, Elizabeth says she’ll check the schedule, and call Patrick back. She tells Franco, everything is falling into place, and he says he’s not sure how she does that. He wishes it was catching. She says, what? and he says, her hope and faith; her plugging away. He’s a little terrified. Part of him wants to give up and accept his fate. She says, it’s a delicate balance. How long do you keep hoping, and when is the time for acceptance, but they’re not there yet. They’re still hoping. It’s not just his fate; it’s their fate. She’s willing to face anything to keep their family together. He says she’s right. From now on, he’ll do anything and everything to beat this. He holds her, and says he wants to be with her when she’s old and grey.

Britt calls Jason, and gets voicemail. She says he dumped this Cyrus stuff in her lap, and now he won’t take her calls. He told her if she saw something, say something, and she saw something. He needs to get to GH right now. She turns around to see Cyrus, who says, problems?

Alexis asks what Julian has gotten himself into now, but he says he went out for some fresh air. Cyrus keeps bugging him to sell Charlie’s, and he keeps telling Cyrus to buzz off. He asks if she’s been drinking, and she says, the roadways are safe; she’s walking. Julian says, it didn’t happen in a vacuum, and she says she’s not mowing anyone down tonight, even him. Relax. He says, what about her? and she says she’s bored with everyone’s misplaced concern that she’s self-destructive. She thinks she’s a survivor. She’s survived the past few years, starting with him, and she’s entitled to do what she needs to in order to get through the night. He says she’s made herself clear, but it hurts him to see her drowning her pain in a bottle of booze. She says she had two drinks. She was clearing her head before she went to say goodnight to Danny and Scout. Sam has lifted the moratorium on her seeing her grandkids. He says, it’s a positive start. They’re lucky to have her. Speaking from personal experience, she’s been a positive light in his dark life. She pushed him to be a better man. If it failed, that’s on him, not her. She asks why he’s talking like that. He sounds like he’s saying goodbye.

Diane asks if she’s convinced Sam and Molly to let Valentin stay, and Sam says if he tries to undermine the intervention, she’ll kill him herself. He says he accepts her terms. When is Alexis getting here? Sam says, soon she hopes. Alexis is supposed to come before the kids go to bed. He asks if Jason is coming, but Sam says she asked him to take Danny out, so he wouldn’t be there when they confront Alexis. They’re at The Floating Rib.    

Jason asks why Danny said that about Alexis, and Danny says he wasn’t spying or anything. He would walk in when his mom was talking about his grandma’s drinking, and she would stop when she saw him. Jason says he’s right. His mom has been worried about his grandma. Sometimes people drink too much, and can’t stop. That’s probably why his mother asked his grandma not to see them until she’s better. Danny says he misses her; Scout too. He hopes she doesn’t forget about them. Jason says, that’s not going to happen. Families have disagreements, but they don’t give up on each other. They’re not giving up on Danny’s grandma; no way.

Cameron tells Dev, Terry says it doesn’t look that good, and Dev says, that’s a lot. He’s sorry to hear it. If Cameron doesn’t want to hang out, it’s okay. Cameron says he’s glad he’s there. What did Dev want to talk about? Dev says, something else happened, and Cameron asks if it was when Dev was with Trina and Josslyn. Dev says, it’s something about Josslyn, but it’s not new. Cameron asks, what is it? and Dev flashes back to making the fake journal. Dev says he did something he regrets, and he wants to make it right.

Laura tells Lulu, plans change, and Lulu says, that’s all she’s got? Laura says, life is unpredictable. She says she doesn’t want to minimize what’s going on in Lulu’s life, and Lulu says her life is wonderful, but it’s difficult and messy at the same time. Laura says, if you find love in the midst of that, it’s a gift. Dante is Rocco’s father, and her husband. It’s not surprising the decisions she made when he was gone might change now that he’s back. Lulu says, that’s the thing. She doesn’t know if she wants them to change or not.

Dante tells Sonny, he divorced Lulu. He didn’t want to wait until his recovery. Sonny says Dante was in a bad place, and needed help. Everyone respected that. Dante says he didn’t know how to take it when he came home, and Lulu was with another dude. Sonny says he wasn’t there, but can’t imagine being willing to accept she’s with another man. Dante says he’s already disrupted Lulu’s life by showing up. He doesn’t want to disrupt it again. He loves her. Sonny asks if he thinks Lulu wants him to just give up.   

Lulu tells Laura that she’s happy with Dustin, and the kids love him. They have a solid life together, but she saw Dante, and all this history and love started bubbling up. Laura says what she needs is time and space, and has every right to ask for it. Maybe she should tell Dustin that it’s not the time to move in. If he’s the man she says he is, he’ll understand.

Dev asks if Cameron remembers when he showed him Josslyn’s journal. Cameron says Dev saved him from making a complete fool out of himself. In the moment, it was hard to hear, but he appreciates that Dev had his back. Had he gone for it, he might have lost a friend for good. Dev says, the thing is… Danny calls over to Cameron, and says his dad is teaching him to play pool. He just sunk two balls. Cameron tells Dev that he’ll be right back.  

Lulu tells Laura, it’s a good idea. Knowing Dustin, she knows he’ll understand, and want her to have clarity, so they can move forward with a clean slate. Laura thinks so too. She’s come to like and respect Dustin. Lulu says, that means a lot, and Laura says she has to get going. She wishes Lulu good luck, and kisses the top of her head. When Laura is gone, Lulu calls Dustin, and asks if he’s busy. She was hoping they could meet at The Rib.

Danny says, it’s all about finding the right angles, and Cameron says if Danny gets good now, it will be a breeze later. Laura texts Jason that she needs to talk, and to meet her in the alley. Jason says he has to make a quick call, and asks if Cameron will watch Danny. Cameron says, no problem, and tells Danny, rack them up.

Diane reads to the group from a paper, the guidelines say speak personally from your point of view. How does Alexis’s drinking affect you, and how does it make you feel? Not in a way that assigns blame. It’s not about shaming her, but about how much they love her.Valentin tells them, be prepared to be attacked, and Sam says his comment isn’t helpful. That’s why she didn’t want him there. He says he might be more helpful than she thinks, and Molly says, let them talk first. Valentin says he’s not convinced that Alexis is coming. She should have been there by now.

Alexis asks if Julian is leaving, but he says, no. He’s doing everything to stay. His kids and grandkids mean everything to him. She asks if he’s sure he’s all right, and he laughs. He says she’d better get a move on before the kids go to bed. She asks if he’s trying to get rid of her, but he says he’s just in a melancholy mood. Everything will be better tomorrow. She tells him, take care, and he says, her too. She leaves, and Julian picks up the backpack and walks in the other direction.

Elizabeth tells Franco she got her shifts taken care of, and he says he’s starving. They head for the elevator while talking about the kids, and Franco asks if she’s seen Jake’s graphic novel. It’s amazing. She asks if he has, and he says they’re reading it together. The elevator doors close.

Dante tells Sonny, he can’t go all caveman on Lulu. He’s already crossed boundaries. Sonny says, even if Dante hadn’t gotten treatment, Lulu would still be his wife. It’s understandable they would have feelings. Dante says, listen to Sonny, talking about feelings. He likes it, and he does still love Lulu. He wants to be with her. Sonny suggests Dante tell her, but Dante says he doesn’t want to pressure her. Sonny says they know she can make up her own mind. She may be stubborn about the feelings she has, but the life they had together, what was between them, is still there. Dante asks, what makes Sonny think he’s not the only one who has feelings? Sonny says he doesn’t know, but he has a radical idea. Ask her.  

Julian goes into The Rib. He sees Danny, Dev, and Cameron playing a video game, and having a great time. He sits at a booth, and looks in the backpack.

Alexis arrives at Sam’s, and Sam says she’s glad Alexis made it; she was starting to worry. Alexis says sorry she’s late, and they hug. She says she should go upstairs and say goodnight, but Sam says, actually, Scout is sleeping and Danny’s not here. Alexis asks where he is, and Sam says, he’s with his father. Molly says they love her. That’s why they’re doing this. Alexis says, doing what? Diane and Valentin come out, and Alexis says she sees. They’re having an intervention.  

Britt tells Cyrus that she wouldn’t be a very effective Chief of Staff if she ran to the Chairman about every minor crisis. She wonders why he’s there at this hour, and he says he likes to keep tabs on his hospital. He never tires of looking for ways to improve things. He’s made progress with some excellent staff choices, like herself, but there’s still much to be done to make it a world class hospital. He looks forward to her playing a part in that.   

Jason meets Laura outside, and she says she needs an update on Cyrus. He says, the truce is holding on the surface, and she says, and underneath? He thinks she should talk to Sonny, and she asks where she can find him. He says he Sonny is having a workout at the gym. He can tell Sonny that she’s looking for him if she wants, but she says she’ll track him down.

Dustin joins Lulu, and says he’s glad she called. He wasn’t too far away. He was picking something up. She says, it sounds secretive, and reminds him that she’s a reporter; she can sniff out a story. He says he’s not worried, and asks what she wanted to see him about. She says, us.

At the video game console, Danny says he’s just warming up, and Dev says he has more quarters. Danny tells them, this is the coolest part, and they watch, then say, whoa! Julian takes out his phone, and looks at pictures of his kids. He flashes back to Cyrus intimating that the bomb won’t go off until Jason is alone. Until then, the package is just a package. Julian says, God help him, and gets up. He walks out, leaving the backpack under the table. The boys continue playing. Julian should know better. He was a mob boss, for God’s sake. 

Alexis says, this is an ambush. Sam lured her there under false pretenses. Molly says they care about her, and she says, if they did, they wouldn’t have set a trap. Valentin says they want to talk to her, and she asks, why? Talk is deceptive. She’s not listening to how much they love her. You don’t betray people you love. Diane says, no one betrayed her. On the contrary; they’re all on her side. Sam asks Alexis to hear them out, but Alexis says Sam weaponized her love for her grandchildren. First by prohibiting her from seeing them, and then using them as bait to lure her there. She’s sure as hell not staying there now.

Jason calls Britt back, and asks what she wants. She says she has something for him, and can’t talk about it on the phone. She needs him to come to the hospital asap. He says he can’t; he’s with his son. They’ll have to talk tomorrow.  

Laura finds Sonny at the gym, and they hug. She says she’s eager for an update, but Sonny says she might want to say hello to someone first. She says, who? and Dante says, me. She hugs him, and tells him, welcome home. He says he’s sorry he was gone so long, and she says she completely understands the choice he made. He kept his family safe. That’s all that matters. In time, Lulu will figure things out. Dante says he was thinking of stopping by, and Laura says she just left Lulu at The Floating Rib. He says he’s going to take off, and tells them, goodnight. Laura and Sonny smile at each other.

Lulu tells Dustin, she’s been turning some things around in her head. Dante coming back threw her for a loop. Dustin says he gets that. She and Dante were together for a long time. He says, it makes sense that things would feel unfinished, and she says, it doesn’t take away from how she feels about him. She loves him, and values their relationship. He says he’s glad to hear it, because he loves her too. That’s why he’s been reevaluating moving in. She says she’s so glad he understands. Him officially moving in doesn’t feel totally right anymore. He says he doesn’t want her falling backward in confusion and uncertainty, and doesn’t want her to doubt his commitment to their life together. He takes out a jewelry box. Rut-roh.

Jason comes back into The Rib, and asks Cameron if everything is good. Cameron says, it’s great. Danny might not be much at pool, but he’s a shark. He may have spent all of Dev’s quarter’s. Jason tries to give Dev some money, but Dev won’t take it, and Jason says, at least let him buy them dinner, and hands Dev some cash. Dev and Cameron go to order, and Danny asks if Jason wants to see how good he is at the video game. Jason guesses he can stay longer, and Danny drags him over to the console. Dev says he needs to tell Cameron something about Josslyn’s journal, when Elizabeth and Franco come in. Cameron says, first, he wants to say hi to his parents, and tells Dev to grab a table. Dev sits down, and his foot hits the backpack. He says, what the hell…? Ooh, he might know what something like that looks like, considering his background.

Alexis tells Sam to get her coat, and Sam says, mom, please. Just an hour. Alexis says she doesn’t want to talk, especially to Sam. Valentin says her daughters are desperate and scared, and don’t want to lose their mother. He tells Alexis that she doesn’t want to lose her life, but she says it’s her choice. If she wants to drink, she will. Diane says, here you go, handing Alexis her coat. She doesn’t want Alexis to get pneumonia on top of everything else. Sam says if Alexis leaves, she’s going to lose her support system. Alexis fought like hell for her, and now it’s her turn. Is Alexis willing to throw all of them away? Stay and hear them out.

Sonny says it’s good what Laura said to Dante, and she says she has a sneaking suspicion that he and Lulu will be just fine. Sonny says, him too, and asks how she knew he was there. She says she ran into Jason. She’s sorry, but she has to talk to him about something that can’t wait.

Britt brings Brad something for his pain. He asks if she reached Jason, and she says, they spoke, but she couldn’t get into it on the phone. He says, Jason is coming, right? If Jason doesn’t help, he’s as good as dead.

Julian stands at the docks.

Dev touches the bag.

Cameron tells Franco and Elizabeth that he’s sorry for freaking out, but Franco gives Cameron credit, saying, he took the bad news well. Dev tells the bartender, there’s a suspicious bag under the table. Dustin tells Lulu, she’s right. He doesn’t want to just move in; that’s not enough. He wants them to build a life, and to make what they have permanent. Lulu says, she thought… and he says he’s doing this wrong. He gets down on one knee, and shows her the ring, which is beautiful, no surprise. He says he loves her with all his heart. Will she marry him?

Julian looks at the phone, and calls Cyrus. He says Cyrus better pick up.

Dante starts to cross the parking lot toward The Rib, when it explodes.

On Monday, the aftermath of the explosion, Dante calls for help, Laura says Cyrus is coming after her, and Sonny says, don’t die on him. He could be referring to any number of people.
