What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Laura stands on the deck of the French Haunted Star when Dante comes out. She asks if he’s spoken to the French authorities, and he says he did. They’re very thorough and very professional. She tells him, just say it. Where is Spencer?

Trina sits in her stateroom, flashing back to the struggle with Esme, when Portia and Curtis come in. Trina hugs Portia and takes Curtis’s hand.

Felicia finds Josslyn at the hospital and says she heard Josslyn’s friend Adam needs a patient advocate.

Nurse Willow tells Adam that she has a friend of his outside, and he says, if she’s talking about Josslyn… She says she isn’t. She’s talking about this. She brings in his guitar and he smiles. He says he wasn’t sure what happened to it, and she says, they were keeping it for him. He thanks her, but she says, thank Josslyn. She was the one who brought it from the park the night he was admitted. She thought he might want it. Killjoy Mr. Wright aka Adam’s father comes to the door and says he was hoping Adam had outgrown this thing. It’s time he got his priorities straight.

Lois asks Chase and Brook if they can imagine anything more appropriate or beautiful than St. Anthony’s in Bensonhurst. The entire neighborhood will be there. All the Cerullos and the Falconaris and Father Tom. He does a great service. (Yeah, but isn’t Aunt Gloria not allowed near that church anymore?) Brook says, they already asked Gregory to officiate, and Lois says, not to worry. Father Tom is very liberal. She’s sure he would have no problem sharing the pulpit. So have they thought about the reception? Brook says, one idea is a yacht, and Lois says, that is romantic in theory. It’s risky in practice. The night of her second wedding to Ned – the one that was actually sanctioned by the church, as opposed to the quickie one where she thought she was marrying Eddie Maine – they had a yacht cruise. The ship ran aground and almost sank with the entire wedding party and family and friends on board. Chase says, so they should be looking at venues on dry land, and Lois says, but some risks are worth taking. Could they imagine a moonlight cruise off Coney Island? They can welcome all of the guests on board under the Brooklyn Bridge, and they can sail around Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. And when everybody’s ready to disembark, they can send them off with popcorn. Doesn’t that sound spectacular? (It sounds like, one of these things is not like the others.) Gregory says, spectacular, and Chase tells her, he has to say, they’re… Brook says, speechless, but Tracy says she’s not.

At Crimson, Drew asks Carly how it’s going, and she says, ask her in a couple of days because they’re in the middle of putting out the first issue of the magazine with her name on it. Her head is spinning. He says, with her here and Nina gone, Crimson has already improved, but Carly says she doesn’t know about that. She despises Nina, but Nina knew a lot more than she does about putting a magazine out. He says, Nina learned on the job. She’s going to learn on the job too. She’s a natural leader, runs a big company, and she’s got great taste, if he does say so himself. It’s only a matter of time before she surpasses Nina. She says she loves his confidence, and he says, nobody is even going to remember Nina ran this place. She says, Nina who? and they kiss. He says, the best business decision he ever made was making her Editor-in-Chief of Crimson. (I just had a thought, have the angry shareholders started calling yet? They might still be smarting from the merger debacle.) Michael walks in and asks if Drew has a minute.

Felicia tells Josslyn, after Carly called, she took a look at Adam’s recent psyche evaluation, and it turns out it’s up to him if he wants to go home or go back to school or stay here at General Hospital for observation. Josslyn says she thinks Adam just wants to live his life and not feel like he’s one big disappointment. Can Felicia help him? Felicia says she’ll do her best. There’s no underestimating the hold a parent has on a child.

Lois says, before Tracy insists the wedding be at this house with a bunch of snooty waiters and unnecessary etiquette, she wants Tracy to think about what Brook and Chase want. Tracy flashes back to Gregory saying, no more petty fighting with Lois and Olivia about the reception and arguing with Ned about anything. All that matters is that those two beautiful souls belong together, and we do everything to make that happen. He asks if they understand each other, and she says, they do. Lois tells Tracy, because this is supposed to be a celebration, and celebrations are supposed to be fun. She knows it’s important to have gorgeous flowers and beautiful table settings, but that is not as important as the food and the music and the dancing, especially the dancing. Because what’s really important is for the bride and the groom to enjoy the occasion. And what is more enjoyable than for Brook to be married in her neighborhood, surrounded by the people who’ve known her and loved her for her entire life? Brook tells Tracy, say something, and Tracy says she couldn’t agree more.

Dante tells Laura, the police found the captain locked in a closet, unconscious. When he came to, he confirmed Spencer chartered the boat to cruise the river to the English Channel. When the boat left the pier, he found an American woman on deck. She said she was lost, but he didn’t believe her. When he tried to take her into custody, she fought back and smacked him in the head with a fire extinguisher. Laura asks if the captain was able to ID her, and Dante says, he picked out Esme’s picture right away. She asks, what about the search for Spencer? and he says, they have every boat at their disposal in the water, searching. So far there’s no sign of Esme or Spencer. She says, then they can still be alive, and Dante says, yeah. He’ll check in again and see if there’s any updates. She thanks him, he says, of course (🍷), and leaves.

Trina asks, when did they get here? and Portia says, they just arrived. Ned Quartermaine kindly let them borrow the ELQ jet and they came as soon as they heard Esme was on her way to Paris. Curtis says, Laura and Dante are coordinating with the French police. He promises they’re doing all they can to rescue Spencer. Trina says she knows Spencer is alive, and Portia asks, so what happened? The police told them that Esme tried to stab Spencer with a needle. Trina says, she ambushed him from behind. Whatever drug she was using was so powerful, he couldn’t even stand. Then Esme tried to come for her and tried to inject her with the needle. Then Spencer grabbed her and they both went over the side… He saved her life like he did in Greenland. Curtis says, thank God for that, and Trina says she thought she lost him then too. Then he came back to her, so – Laura comes in – she just knows in her heart that he’s alive still. Laura tells her to trust her heart.

Michael congratulates Carly on the new job, and she thanks him. He says, the MetroCourt’s loss is Crimson’s gain. She says, don’t worry. She’s definitely getting her half of the MetroCourt back one day, with her own money. She’s not going to take loans from anyone. So until then, she’s just going to enjoy her time at Crimson. Michael says, she’ll knock it out of the ballpark, and she thanks him for the vote of confidence. But that’s not why he’s here, is it? He says, no. He was looking for Drew. His office said he was here. Drew suggests they relocate, but Carly says she’s going to GH because she thinks Josslyn could use some back-up. She hugs Drew, saying, take it easy on him, in his ear. She leaves, and Drew says, it’s late. Anything Michael needs to say to him, he can say to him in the morning. Michale says he’s afraid not. He’s resigning.

Mr. Wright says, this has got to go, trying to take Adam’s guitar, but Adam says, no, it doesn’t. Willow says, he’s upsetting the patient. Please wait outside. Wright tells Adam that they have far more important things to discuss than his musical hobby, like the reason he’s here in this hospital. Josslyn walks in with Felicia, and Wright says, then moving on to the many lies Adam’s told. Adam owes him that. Josslyn says, Adam doesn’t owe him anything, and Wright tells Willow that he thought he made it clear that this young woman was not to be allowed near his son. Felicia tells him, please do what Nurse Corinthos says and wait outside, and Wright asks who she is. She says she’s Felicia Scorpio. She’s on staff here as a patient advocate and she needs to talk to Adam, just the two of them.

Lois says she’s sorry. She doesn’t think she heard correctly. Did Tracy just agree with her? Tracy says, as mother of the bride, Lois is traditionally hostess of the wedding and the reception. She knows their tastes differ and Quartermaine traditions are not necessarily right for everyone. Lois says she always thought Tracy was too snooty to see past her own stuck-up nose, but clearly, she was wrong. Tracy says, live and learn, and Brook asks if she and Chase can have a word with grandmother privately. Gregory says, of course (🍷). Shall we? Lois says, delighted, and they leave, Gregory closing the door. Tracy says, now that they’re all on the same page, the wedding can proceed. The ceremony at St. Anthony’s in Bensonhurst, the festival hall of their choosing for the reception, and the streamers, balloons, and bunting in whatever color palette Brook’s mother desires. No need for them to thank her. Brook says, thank her? They were counting on her to say no.

Portia asks if Laura has any news, and Laura says, Dante is with the police now, but no word yet. Trina says she knows they’ll find him, and Laura asks if Trina can just tell her what happened and what Esme thought she was going to accomplish. Trina says, Esme wanted to take Spencer hostage to force Nikolas out of hiding and trade him for Ace, but Laura says, Esme’s a tiny little girl. How could she possibly overpower Spencer? Did she have a gun? Curtis says, that’s why she planned to drug him, and Trina tells them, Esme said the drug would make Spencer docile, but it didn’t work. He found a way to fight it, and then Esme came for her with the needle, and he grabbed her. That’s how she knows he loves her, and she knows he’s alive. Dante comes in, and Laura asks if there’s an update, but Dante says he’s sorry. He doesn’t have good news.

Tracy says she doesn’t understand. She thought Brook was on board with her mother’s vision. Brook asks if Tracy knows how many weddings she’s been to at St. Anthony’s. Don’t misunderstand. They’ve all been beautiful and a lot of fun, but as much as she loves the old neighborhood, she doesn’t want to be married there. Chase says he and Brook met in Port Charles. They fell in love here and the people they love and are closest to live here. Brook says, they want a Port Charles wedding. Whether they have the reception here at the house or at The Savoy or at the MetroCourt ballroom, they just want it to be in a place that has meaning for them as a couple. Chase says, it’s not that he doesn’t want to get to know Brook’s family in Bensonhurst. He does. Brook says, just not on their wedding day. They want it to be a day to celebrate their love, not a meet and greet with the Falconari and Cerullo clans. Tracy says, if that’s the way she feels, why doesn’t she tell her mother? and Brook says, because she’s her ma’s only child and she’s a daughter. A big neighborhood wedding is like a rite of passage. Her ma has always been rebellious, but when it came to marrying her dad, they did the ceremony in Bensonhurst. Tracy says she remembers the stories, running around Brooklyn in their wedding attire, hoping to make it to the church on time, and Brook says, now it’s her mother’s turn to be mother of the bride. To have all the uncles and cousins and nonnas congratulate her. And since she divorced Brook’s dad and raised Brook as a single mom, it’s an even bigger deal for her. Tracy says, so maybe Brook should defer to her wishes? and Chase says, she’s got a point. Brook says she doesn’t want to hurt her mom’s feelings, but she just wants their wedding to be their wedding. Tracy says, it will be. She promises.

Michael hands Drew his resignation and says he’s happy for his mom. He knows she’ll make Crimson even better, but Drew fired Nina and hired his mom without even asking him. He knows it’s Drew’s call, but as somebody who’s been handling the day-to-day for years, he should have at least been consulted. Drew says, like Michael shared the inside information about Nina with him? and Michael says he found out Nina tipped off the SEC at their wedding reception. He was on the phone call with his source when he looked over and saw Nina dancing with Willow and his son. Drew says he understands it’s complicated, and Michael says, that’s why he needed proof. He recorded Martin Grey admitting to everything. He went to his father. He was going to play him the recording and expose Nina; get her out of his father’s life, Willow’s life, and his kids’ life, once and for all. Drew says, Michael doesn’t have to explain it. He didn’t want to break Sonny’s heart. Michael says he and his father had been estranged ever since he chose Nina over Michael’s mom and his family. They finally reconciled, so if Michael was to go over to him and basically say, see? I was right. Nina’s a liar and you were a fool to choose her over us, he felt it would break their relationship for good. Drew says, he could have found a gentler way to bring it to him, but Michael says, no matter how he would have said it, that’s what Sonny would have heard. That’s what he heard when Michael told him the truth finally. Drew says, Sonny blames Michael as much as he blames Nina, and Michael says, if not more. That’s for him and his father to work out, or not. The point is, he owed it to Drew to let him know everything and he didn’t. He’ll stick around and help with the transition as long as Drew needs him, until he can find someone he trusts with the position. Michael starts to leave, but Drew says, wait. The truth is, his anger was misdirected toward Michael. Nina is the one who caused all the harm. Now that Carly is here in her place, the books are balanced. Michael asks what he’s saying, and Drew tells him that he’s saying he wants Michael here. But with new ground rules in place.

Wright says his son doesn’t need an advocate. He has his father. Josslyn asks how that’s worked out, and Wright says, if she doesn’t leave now, he’ll call security. Carly arrives and says, no, he won’t. Wright asks who she is, and she says she’s Josslyn’s mother. And instead of insulting her daughter, why isn’t he thanking her for saving his son’s life? Felicia says, if they’d all just step outside and give her a moment alone with Adam, but Wright says he’s staying. Willow says, Adam? and Adam says he’d like to talk to the advocate. Willow says, he heard his son. He needs to leave. Or should she call security? Wright tells Adam that he’ll be right outside, and Josslyn says she’ll be right outside too, in case Adam needs her. Everyone leaves, and Adam asks Felicia, what happens now? She says, it’s his life. He’s been given a second chance to live it. How he does so is up to him.

Dante says, the authorities are dragging the river. They’ve got divers out there and helicopters along the shoreline, but the currents are stronger the closer the river gets to the Channel. Trina says, there must be something more they can do to rescue Spencer, but Dante says, the problem is this. They’ve been in the water for more than 24 hours now. Given the temperature and whatever Esme gave to Spencer, they’re no longer calling this a rescue mission; they’re calling it recovery. Trina says she doesn’t care what they call it, recovery or rescue. What matters is they get Spencer back. Dante tells Trina and Laura that he’s so sorry. Spencer is now presumed dead. Laura starts to cry, and Trina says, they’re wrong. He’s alive. She knows he is. She runs out, crying.

Portia asks if Curtis minds, and he says, of course (🍷) not. Go after their daughter. She runs after Trina, and Curtis tells Laura that Spencer was her grandson and he’s very sorry. She thanks him, and Curtis asks who Dante’s contact is at the local police. Dante says, Captain Auboire. She has a command station set up on the bridge. She can give him all the details. Curtis says he’s going to need to hear that so he can relay it to Trina when she’s ready. He leaves, and Dante asks Laura if there’s anything he can do. She says, find her grandson, and he says he wishes he could. She says she knows. She knows Dante would bring him back if he could. They all would. But nothing can be done. She sobs and Dante puts his hand on her shoulder.

Felicia says, Adam tried to end his life. She and his medical team are going to make sure he knows they’re going to continue to support him even after he walks out the door. He’s not alone. He has help. All he has to do is ask for it.

In the hallway, Josslyn says, there’s something Wright needs to know. When she found Adam in the park, he was clutching the thing he loves most, that guitar. Does he know what she likes to think? That even when he was out of it and about to drift off forever, he heard music, and it gave him a reason to live. He believes he’s doing what’s best for his son, but what’s best for Adam is for his father to see him and accept him for who he is.

Tracy asks Lois and Gregory to join them, and Lois makes a beeline for Brook, while Gregory asks if Tracy is okay. She says, no thanks to him. Agreeing with Lois took years off her life. Lois says she doesn’t want them to worry about a thing. The cost of the boat and the food… she’s going to foot the bill. Tracy says she’s footing the bill. And on further review, she’s decided the wedding is going to take place here in Port Charles. Formal attire, flowers by Genevieve, string quartet, and French champagne. Lois asks if that’s really what they want, and Chase says, as much as he wants to meet Lois’s extended family, he and Brook are based here, and this is where they would like to have the wedding. Brook says, a formal reception with flowers and champagne and a string quartet sounds beautiful, and Lois says, beautiful, yeah, but where’s the fun? Tracy says she’s so glad Lois brought that up, because it’s the night before the wedding when the fun really happens.

Portia finds Trina on deck, and Trina asks how she’s supposed to walk away from him. How can she let him go? Portia hugs her.

Brook and Chase both say, Coney Island? and Tracy says, it may not be the proper venue for the wedding, but it’s perfect for the rehearsal dinner. Lois says, of course (🍷). Why didn’t she think of that? Tracy says, nail polish remover. Silent killer. They can recreate all the outer borough charm right on the wharf. They can hire a carnival… and rockers. Whatever. Lois says, that’s true, but Tracy could do even better than that, right? Because why recreate Coney Island, when they could have the real thing? Chase says, the rehearsal dinner is the night before the ceremony, and Brook says, they can’t get everybody down there and back to Port Charles. Lois says, is she sure? What does Tracy think? Tracy says, they can charter buses, and Lois says, buses? What about jets? Tracy is a fancy shmancy cosmeticsy old lady. She can fly everybody down there and back in one night. She can rent out the whole park. Lois can just see it now. Waiters on roller skates handing out pigs in blankets, the Salt N Sizzle, the sideshow, and oh! The Cyclone. Gregory says he’d pay money to see Tracy on The Slingshot, and Lois says, and maybe they can get the groom to serenade the bride on the beach. Brook looks at Chase, and Lois says, what? No. They’re going to tell her that they hate it? Brook says, she couldn’t be more wrong, and Chase says, they love it. Lois says, they do? and Brook hugs her. Gregory and Tracy go into the foyer.

Felicia says, Adam would like to see Josslyn now, and Josslyn goes to his room. She says, looking for her? and Adam says, the nurse told him that it was her who brought his guitar from the park to the hospital. She says she knew he’d want it, and he says, but she didn’t know if he’d be around to use it. She says, no, but she hoped, and he thanks her. She says, it wasn’t a big deal, and he says, not just about the guitar. For him. He tried to kill himself. If it hadn’t been for her, he would have. She says she was just doing what a friend does, and he says, even after everything, the way he treated her, she can still say that. She says she just did, and she promises to keep on saying it as long as he promises to hear it.

Wright tells Felicia that he still needs to see his son, when Josslyn comes back with Adam and his guitar. Wright says, oh good, he’s dressed. Enough talk. They’re going home. Adam says, no, he’s not.

Drew says he needs to know that he can trust Michael. That was never an issue before. Michael always had his back and he always had Michael’s back. He’s not blaming Michael for making the choice to protect his family, but he’s saying Michael has to remember he’s family too. Michael asks how he rebuilds that trust. Where does he start? Drew says, him firing Nina and putting Carly in her place, that’s just the beginning, and Michael asks if he’s planning more changes at Aurora. Drew says he’s planning more changes for Nina. He’s going to make her pay for every single day she kept him away from his daughter, for every scar he carried with him when he walked away from Pentenville. That woman thinks she’s lost everything. She has no idea. She’s going to keep losing until she’s alone, as broke, and as empty as she deserves to be. So is Michael with him? Ugh. I’m not liking this new, dark Drew. I wasn’t exactly a Drew fan to begin with, but he’s kind of creepy now.

Laura tells Dante that she knows better than to play with what ifs. She knows it’s not going to change anything, but she can’t stop herself. What if Spencer had just refused to give Ace to his father? Or what if when Esme finished in court, she just took her son and went back home? Then they would all just be in Port Charles tonight, wouldn’t they? And Spencer and Trina would be together. They’d be young and in love and in Paris. She cries and says, instead, they have this. She can’t imagine a world without Spencer. She just can’t.

Portia tells Trina to take her jacket, but Trina says, no. Portia says she doesn’t want Trina to get cold, but Trina says she doesn’t care. Think about how cold the water is. Spencer loved to swim, but he hated the cold. She remembers when they were at the cabin, and he couldn’t wait to make a fire… At the cabin. That’s when Esme showed her true colors. Why didn’t they pay attention? Why didn’t they get away from her then? Even Spencer… especially Spencer. Portia says, Esme can’t hurt anyone anymore. Spencer saw to that. He really was a hero. She suggests getting Trina home, since there’s really nothing they can do here now, and Trina says she’ll meet Portia at the stateroom. Portia leaves, and Trina asks Spencer, how do I do it? How do I say goodbye?

Lois says she got carried away and suggested a wedding and reception that’s very similar to… Brook looks at her, and she says, okay, almost identical to her wedding to Brook’s father… and her cousin Teresa’s… and her cousin Angela’s… All right, and to Luciana Falconari’s, which all happened this past year. Brook says, and they were all beautiful, and Lois says, yes, and Brook’s wedding will be beautiful too. As long as it’s the wedding of Brook’s dreams, not hers. Brook says she loves Lois, and Lois says she loves Brook too. Brook says, as long as they have their families wishing them well… Chase says, their wedding will be perfect. Lois agrees.

Gregory says, Tracy never ceases to amaze him. She has all sorts of hidden talents when she lets herself show them. She says, sometimes all she needs is a little encouragement. However, there is no amount of encouragement that will ever get her on anything called The Slingshot. He says he begs to differ. If he can get Alexis into a parachute, he can get her onto The Slingshot. (See below.)

Wright says, don’t be foolish. Adam’s proven he can’t be trusted on his own. After some time home with family, he can enroll in another college. Get a fresh start. Adam says he’s going back to PCU. He’s got unfinished business there. Besides, there’s a really great music department there. Wright asks, who will pay the tuition? and Felicia says, with his musical talent, perhaps PCU will want to recruit Adam. Adam says, or he’ll get a job, put himself through school, and Wright says, this is a mistake, but Adam says, it’s his to make. He has his dad’s phone number, and his dad has his. Whenever he feels like talking, they’ll talk. Wright looks disgusted, and leaves. Josslyn hugs Adam, and he says he’s not complaining, but what was that for? She says, for being you, and Carly looks on proudly.

Michael says, if regaining Drew’s trust means pursuing a vendetta against Nina, he’s sorry, but the answer’s no. Drew asks if Michael thinks he’s being too hard on her, but Michael says, it’s not worth what he stands to lose. He already went behind Willow’s back in order to protect her from her mother, and it nearly cost him his family. He can’t do that again. He wants Nina to lose everything, but he can’t be involved in making that happen. Drew had better start screening for a CEO. Drew says he already has his CEO. Michael just proved it right now. Michael asks if this was a test, and Drew says he told Michael what he was planning. Michael declined to be involved and he respects Michael’s reasons and respects his honesty. That’s what they need. They need transparency. Collaboration can’t happen without it. He rips up Michael’s resignation and says he expects to see Michael at his desk first thing in the morning.

Portia asks what the police had to say, and Curtis says, they’re going to extend the search for the next 48 hours. If they don’t find anything, they’re going to assume Spencer and Esme’s bodies were swept out into the English Channel and lost. She says, any idea on the odds of recovering their bodies? and he says, less than 50%. He doesn’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, if they don’t find the body, Trina will never accept Spencer’s gone. If they do find the body, she’s going to insist on viewing it. He just doesn’t want her to see Spencer that way. He wants to spare her that. Portia says she wanted Spencer out of Trina’s life. He brought trouble and she wanted to protect Trina from all of that. But the thought of that young man losing his life saving Trina’s and how Trina’s feeling tonight… She didn’t want it to happen like this. She cries and says, not this way.

Laura and Dante go out on deck, and Laura goes over to Trina. Trina asks if Doc is okay, and Laura says, he still has a headache. Other than that, he’s fine. Trina says she knows Laura wants to get home soon, so she promises she won’t be long, but Laura tells her to take as much time as she needs. She kisses Trina on the forehead, and she and Dante go back inside. Trina flashes back over her and Spencer being in Paris before Esme came along, and there’s a song part. She says, this isn’t goodbye. Somehow, some way…

We see the turtle dove washed up on a rocky shore.

Tomorrow, Olivia says, it’s best for everyone; Laura says, we owe each other the truth; Trina says, this time it won’t be a happy ending; and Ava tells Nina to prepare herself for a life without him (presumably Sonny).

🛟 Sweeping Down the Seine…

Never fear, Spencer is making a series for Netflix. This doesn’t say much about his ex-partner in crime. Only that yesterday was her last day on screen. My hopes of Spencer and Esme both having lost their memories and being stuck in a Blue Lagoon scenario are officially dashed.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Olivia gets to Eddie/Ned just in time, and extracts him from the tangle of seaweed and netting he’s in. Although I wonder why he’s wearing shoes when he left them at the boathouse.

At the MetroCourt, Alexis says, another precious minute lost. Where are you, Kristina? Blaze comes by and introduces herself as a friend of Kristina’s. She says she was supposed to meet a friend, but it seems fate has other ideas today; they just cancelled. She was on her way out, saw Alexis, and thought she’d introduced herself. Alexis says, that’s nice… Not that Blaze’s friend cancelled, but that Blaze introduced herself. Would Blaze like to join her? Maybe it’s fate. Blaze says, maybe it is, and sits down.

Drew sees Curtis at another table, and says, it’s nice to see him. Curtis says, likewise, and they hug.

Carrying a takeout bag, Trina joins Spencer outside Dex’s apartment, followed by Josslyn and Dex. She says, sorry he had to wait, but they have extra crunchy prawn, and Josslyn says, there was a delay in ordering because someone – she looks at Dex – had to weigh out the whole Marvel movie to catalog Monica’s powers. He says, in the last edition… and she says, yes, she understands. Trina asks Spencer, what happened? and he says, Esme happened. And this time she has his grandmother on her side.

Anna sees Valentin outside of Charlotte’s room and asks, how is she? He says, sleeping. The doctors say she’s going to make a full recovery. She says, thank God. There’s something he needs to know. He asks, what is it? but she says, not here, and they go to the stairwell.

Olivia gets Eddie to the surface and struggles to bring him to shore. She tells him, don’t make this hard. He’s got to be okay. She pounds on him, trying to get him to cough up water, then does chest compression and mouth-to-mouth. He coughs and she asks if he’s all right. He’s alive. He sits up, and she says he’s alive. He says, it’s her. She saved him. She says, of course (🍷) she did. She’d do anything for him. He says he should have always known this, and she says, it’s okay, Eddie, hugging him. He says he’s not Eddie; he’s Ned.

Kristina walks into the MetroCourt and sees Blaze talking to Alexis. She goes to the table and says she didn’t know Blaze knew her mother. Sorry she’s late. Alexis says, only forty-five minutes, and Blaze says her plans were a no-show, and she saw Kristina’s mother. Alexis says, Blaze introduced herself. That was so 1990s. Blaze says, and a lot of fun. She tells Kristina to sit, and says she was grilling Alexis about her job. Alexis says, actually, Blaze was keeping her company while she waited for Kristina… and waited… and waited… Kristina says, okay. Sorry about that. She got caught up with some planning commission things at the youth center. Alexis says, she’s here now and Blaze is here, so why don’t they all have dinner together?

Curtis says, it must be strange, being about to get up and go to sleep when he wants to and turn off his own lights, and Drew says, absolutely. But there are a few things he can think of that he missed more than that. Curtis says he knows that must have been hard. He’s sorry he didn’t visit Drew. Drew says, Curtis had a few things going on. What he went through is nothing in comparison to what Curtis went through. Curtis protests, but Drew says he’s serious. Doesn’t he think it’s silly for either one of them to feel they need to apologize to each other? They’ve been through it. Curtis has been there for him more times than he can count. This friendship is forged in fire. It’s brotherhood born in battle. Curtis says, wow, and raises his glass. To the battle… and to freedom. Drew says, and to survival, and they clink glasses.

Josslyn says, Esme again, and Spencer asks if Josslyn and Dex can give him a minute. Josslyn says, gladly, and she and Dex go into his apartment, Josslyn touching Trina’s shoulder as she passes. Trina asks what Esme did, and Spencer says, it’s nothing that Esme did; it’s what she’s going to do. She’s going to take Ace and she’s going to move into another apartment. Trina says, finally.

Laura looks in the window to Charlotte’s room. Elizabeth is with Charlotte, sees Laura, and comes out. Laura says, she looks so fragile in that bed, and Elizabeth says she knows, but Charlotte’s just sleeping right now. It’s best to let her rest as long as possible because her system is still fighting. But her vitals are excellent. She’s on track to make a full recovery. Laura breathes a sigh of relief and says, that’s fantastic. Where’s Valentin? She can’t imagine he’d leave her alone. (Geez, the poor guy doesn’t even get a bathroom break?) Elizabeth says, no. He’s been here the entire time. In fact, she just saw him walking down the hall with Anna just a little bit ago. Laura asks how Jake is handling all of this. She knows they all went trick-or-treating together, and heard he was the first one back to Anna’s house right after it happened. Elizabeth says she’s never seen him like this. It’s like he’s caught in this loop of feeling upset and feeling guilty that he lost track of her. He promised Valentin they would stick together, and that’s why he went looking for her. And now he’s scared and confused and doesn’t understand how Anna could have shot Charlotte. And honestly, neither can she.

First of all, didn’t anyone notice Charlotte was wearing a huge, dark, hooded robe and the apartment was dark? And on another topic, Jake knows that Charlotte had the keys and what she’d said about them getting her everything she wanted. This hasn’t come up yet, but I’m thinking it might give him a clue she was up to no good.

On a landing in the stairwell, Valentin asks Anna what it is he needs to know. She says, he has to believe her when she tells him, what happened with Charlotte was an accident. She had no way of knowing Charlotte was in that apartment. He says he knows that. She says she’s not making an excuse, because she understands this is killing him, and he says, there’s nothing she could have done. She says, when she left the apartment, she locked it, and when she returned, it was unlocked. So she knew there was someone inside there, and she thought she was going to be ambushed. That’s why she pulled her gun, and that’s when she made a terrible mistake. And she wishes she could make it all go away. When she saw Charlotte lying on the ground like that, and his face when he came in… He says, it was an accident. It was a tragic accident. She says, yes… How did he know to come to the apartment?

Ned and Olivia are dripping wet and sitting on the ground. Olivia asks what Ned is saying. Her Ned? Is it really him? He says, it’s really him. He saw her. He doesn’t even know how it happened. His mind was rushing like a whirlwind. Literally. The next thing he knows, he’s in the water, and stuck. And there she was. And now they’re here. She says, Lois told her that he was depressed. She went to the boathouse and saw his guitar and his shoes(🤷🏽‍♀️), and she thought… She cries, and he takes her face in his hands and says, it’s okay. They made it. She made it. They’re going to be okay. She says she thought she lost him, and he says, but she didn’t. She found him. It was her all along. She says, what? and he says, in the song. He knows how it ends. She asks what he’s talking about, and he says, the siren song. He knows how to finish it. She says, Eddie… Ned, let’s not do this right now, and he says he’s not Eddie. He’s Ned. She says, if he’s not Eddie, how did he remember the song? He says he remembers everything, and they kiss. So is he going to kind of be like Sonny/Mike now?

Spencer says, finally? Trina didn’t really just say that. She says, yes, she did. She knows he’s going to miss living with Ace, but it’s way past time that Esme go live on her own. He yells, who cares about Esme? He’s talking about Ace. Ace is the one he’s worried about in this instance. Josslyn and Dex come out, and Josslyn asks, what the hell is going on out here?

Kristina asks if Alexis knows that Blaze just signed with BLQ Management, and Alexis says, Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Blaze says, makes a refreshing change from that sleaze Linc Brown, and Alexis says she remembers his public takedown at the Nurses Ball. To Catch a Predator anyone? Blaze says, oh, we caught him, and Alexis says, and then he disappeared, and as she recalls, the whole thing went radio silent. She’s curious. How long before the abuse started?

Curtis asks how it feels to be back in the real world, and Drew says, he has no idea. Although he has to say, some things are more challenging than he anticipated. Curtis says, Drew has been out of the mix for a while, but Drew says, compared to when he broke out of captivity in Greece, the life he came back to this time hasn’t changed nearly as drastically. But Curtis’s has. What about him?

Elizabeth tells Laura that she knows Anna would never intentionally hurt Charlotte. Obviously, it was just a terrible mistake. But what was she doing carrying a gun around on Halloween? With people in costumes and kids jumping out at each other, acting all crazy. Laura says, she’s right, and Elizabeth says, and you add a gun in that mix? It only increases the odds that something tragic is going to happen. Yes, Charlotte is going to recover physically, but what about her emotional scars? And Jake is going to have to deal with this as well.

Valentin says he was supposed to pick up Charlotte and the other kids after trick-or-treating. Apparently, Charlotte went off on her own, and according to Georgie and Danny, Jake went after Charlotte in the direction of Maxie’s place, so he thought she was heading there. Anna says, well, he was right. She couldn’t figure out why Charlotte would come to the apartment. The police found her backpack, and in it was the keychain she showed him to Maxie’s apartment. Remember the one that had the shoe on it? In there were also these two cans of spray paint that were the same color that was used to paint the word murderer on her door. He says, Charlotte told him about the keychain; she didn’t tell him about the paint. She says, that doesn’t matter. What she’s trying to tell him is, she’s figured out who’s after her. He says he’s so sorry, and she says, and it is the WSB. Former WSB. She figured out the connection, and it’s a man called Jameson Forsythe. Old guard Bureau. They crossed swords ages ago. He says, no. She doesn’t understand… but she says she does. She found evidence, and Forsythe is trying to discredit, destabilize her, and somehow he’s involved Charlotte. She doesn’t know how he’s done it, but he’s using Charlotte to get to her.

Olivia and Ned go into the boathouse, and Ned puts a towel around her shoulders, then takes one for himself. She says she’s a little behind the curve. He has to catch her up. He’s not Eddie Maine anymore. He says, no. He’s just plain old Ned, her husband. She says, they have to get back to the house. They have to get him to a doctor. He says, you know what? He doesn’t want to go to the house. He wants to stay right here with her because it’s been too long. He just wants to enjoy this moment with her, okay? She says, okay, and they sit down. She says she doesn’t understand. He remembers everything? He says, it’s a bit fuzzy, a little disjointed, but he was here the whole time, like he was on autopilot. Or like playing one of Leo’s video games. He’s Ned, but he’s a little fuzzy. She asks if he remembers his daughter, and Tracy, and Leo. He says, yeah. He remembers everyone. He’s a Quartermaine. They were married in 2017. It’s now 2022. She says, 2023, and he says, right. He told her that things were fuzzy. She says, that’s just the small stuff. The important thing is that he’s here. They hug, and she says she was praying so hard for this, and he came back to her. He says, but she was willing to let Eddie stay, wasn’t she?

Blaze tells Alexis, at first, she was starstruck around all the beautiful people, all the glitz and glamour of the industry. She was so lost in it. When Linc began to overstep, she thought, maybe that’s just the way this world works; maybe he’s that way with all his artists. She didn’t want to seem uptight, so she stayed quiet and avoided being alone with him. Alexis says, Blaze made it her problem, not his, and Blaze says, exactly. One more layer of pressure to being in the public eye. Backstage, where you’re supposed to let your guard down, she was constantly looking over her shoulder. Alexis says, so she’s spending her downtime dodging him, and Kristina says, no one should have to do that. Alexis says, women are conditioned to normalize that kind of behavior, and then that message gets passed down to other artists. Blaze says she gets that entirely. By keeping her mouth shut, she was basically endorsing him.

Curtis tells Drew that his life is upside down for sure. Simple things like walking, running, even standing up, he can’t take for granted anymore. Drew says, but he’s not alone in this. He has family, friends. Curtis says he does and he’s grateful for that, but everything has shifted. The dynamic is different. Hell, he’s different.

They all go into Dex’s apartment, and Josslyn says she gets it. Spencer’s upset. One thing she’s learned about living in the dorms is, you have to be considerate of your neighbors and your own business. The whole building doesn’t need to know what’s going on right now. Spencer asks if she really thinks he cares what the building thinks. He gets louder, and says, Esme just told him that she’s taking Ace and moving into a new apartment, and his grandmother is going to co-sign the lease because they think Ace shouldn’t be a part of his life anymore. And when he comes to Trina with this, saying he’s going to be losing his baby brother, all she can say is, finally.

Anna tells Valentin that this is her past catching up to her. And somehow, it’s caught up to Charlotte, and she never wanted that. Forsythe has gotten to her somehow. Valentin says, there is no Forsythe. At least not the way she’s thinking. She asks what he’s trying to say, and he says his daughter’s been stalking her for months. And he’s been covering for her.

Laura sits next to Charlotte’s bed and says she’s here. How does it feel? Charlotte says her stomach hurts, but not too bad, and Laura says, she’s such a brave girl. Charlotte asks, where’s papa? He promised to be here. Laura says, he’s been here the whole time. He just went for a walk with Anna. Charlotte gets agitated, and says, it’s dangerous. They can’t trust Anna. She’ll hurt him.

Olivia tells Ned, every waking moment, with every beat of her heart, she was fighting for him. He says, no… and she says, he’s got to hear this. He needed to find his way back to them. She couldn’t push him. He needed to choose to come back to them. If he thinks she preferred Eddie Maine… He tells her, stop. She misunderstands. He’s not accusing her of being disloyal. He knows she was supporting him, and he loves her all the more for it. She says, Eddie… and realizes her mistake. He laughs and hugs her. He says he needed that space. After the accident, when he woke up in the hospital, everything was so confusing and unfamiliar, he grabbed the first thing that made him feel safe and comfortable. She says, Eddie Maine, and he says, it was his escape to a time when life was less complicated, and he wasn’t feeling the weight of his family and business suffocating him. To a time when it was just him, on stage, playing his music, no restraints, no judgements, just freedom.

Blaze says she didn’t mean to open a vein here, but Alexis says she’s the one who pried. Old attorney habits die hard. Kristina says, Blaze doesn’t know her mother; this is like catnip for her. Alexis says she’s more than curious. She’s outraged. Her nerve endings are twitching thinking about the lawsuit Blaze could file. Blaze says she doesn’t know… and Alexis says she’s serious. Kristina says, if Blaze doesn’t want to go the legal route, how about collaborating together on a piece about sexual harassment in the music industry? What does Alexis think? A feature with Blaze as the focus? Alexis says she thinks it’s a great idea; shed light on a rampant issue. Is Blaze willing to go on the record? Blaze says, it’s no secret what happened what happened to her. Anyone who was at the Nurses Ball or who saw it on television knows about it, but she wants to move forward with her career. She doesn’t want to go backward. Kristina tells her, what about what she just said? What about all of the artists who could fall into the same trap? Here’s her chance to show that predators aren’t the only way to do business. This is an opportunity for her to break that cycle.

Curtis tells Drew that sometimes he actually feels fortunate. There’s this guy, Devon, his gym buddy. Devon has it way worse than him, but this guy always stays positive. He has the most amazing outlook on life. Drew says, that’s incredible. He’s so glad to hear that. Curtis says, but to be perfectly honest, there are moments, split seconds, where he forgets about his new reality and tries to do normal things like get out of bed and stand up. Then reality slams back, so he’s learning to adjust.

Trina tells Spencer that she never meant to say it was a good thing losing Ace. She just thinks that Esme moving out is healthy for her, and ultimately for him. He says, healthy for him, to be separated from Ace. He’s losing a member of his family, and he thought she would understand that. Josslyn says, it’s not like Esme’s moving to another planet. She’s still going to be in Port Charles and so will Ace. He can see them whenever he wants. Isn’t that a good thing? Dex says, but it won’t be the same thing, and Josslyn and Trina look at him, as I would. Thanks, Dex.

Valentin says, Charlotte’s the one who vandalized Anna’s hotel suite. Security footage showed her breaking into that room with a backpack. Anna says, what? and he says he had Nina delete the footage from the server. She asks why he would have Nina do that. Why would he hide that from her? He says, the moment he saw it, he knew she was the one who spray painted Anna’s front door, that she was the one who set Anna’s house on fire. Anna says, no, but Valentin says, she knew how to get in Anna’s house. Her camp was less than an hour away. She could have gotten there easily. Anna says, it’s not possible, but he says he doesn’t know what Charlotte is capable of anymore. She says, so he knew his daughter was terrorizing her and he just let Charlotte keep doing it? and he says he was protecting Charlotte because he failed her so many times as a father. And he thinks he was protecting himself… She says, what about protecting her? Didn’t she have a right to know?

Laura tells Charlotte, it’s okay. Her father isn’t in any danger from Anna. Charlotte says, she’s wrong. Grandfather Victor warned her about Anna. He told her to protect papa. Laura asks what Victor said about Anna, and Charlotte tells her, he said she was a double-agent, and everyone would know about it soon. He visited her at school and told her to stay there where she’d be safe from Anna. He even wrote her a letter. She grabs her side, and Laura tells her, try to be still. She doesn’t want to reopen the wound. Charlotte says, Laura doesn’t understand. Grandfather told her that Anna was going to use her and pretend to be nice to her so she could trick papa. Laura says, he told her all of this in a letter? and Charlotte says, yes. He said that papa was so in love with Anna, he wouldn’t realize she was using him. Anna’s done a lot of bad things in the past, and made papa take the blame. She’s going to do it again and this time, papa’s going to end up in prison forever. He’ll be killed if she doesn’t keep Anna away from him. Laura says, shhh. It’s okay.

Olivia says she can understand Ned getting nostalgic for the past, for simpler times. So she’s got to ask him. Does Lois figure into this equation? (I laugh because Lois likes math.) He asks why she would bring Lois up, and she says, Lois was the last one he talked to before he jumped in, and everything changed. Is Lois the reason he came back to them?

Kristina says she’s sorry. She didn’t mean to put Blaze on the spot. Her mother can vouch that is something she does. Blaze says, don’t worry about it. She appreciates Kristina’s passion. Alexis says, there’s no pressure here at all. It was a just an idea. She sees Drew and Curtis, and says she sees two friends over there who she’d love to say hello to. She’ll be right back. She leaves, and Kristina tells Blaze, that was not her place. Here she is, lecturing Blaze about her story when she knows better than anyone it’s an intensely personal decision. Blaze says, Kristina’s fire, her commitment to justice is infectious. It’s okay to want to make a difference. The thing she’d hate is if Kristina started editing herself and only told her what she wanted to hear.

Curtis says, Drew told him the whole story. Alexis is one gutsy reporter. Threatening to expose that judge like that? He’s glad it all worked out. They really missed Drew and he’s glad Drew’s back. Drew says he appreciates that, and there are smiles all around.

Ned tells Olivia that he was talking to Lois before he came down here to the boathouse. She was giving him a pep talk about finishing the song. Olivia says she wanted him to finish the song too, and he says he guesses he needed Lois’s no-nonsense bullying, and Olivia laughs. He says, Lois told him to take a leap of faith and go find the siren. She says, the siren, and he says, maybe she knew that was the key to getting him back to his real self. Or maybe not. But Olivia. She’s the one who actually pulled him back. She cries and he kisses the top of her head, pulling her to him. He says, turns out, she’s the siren. Hers is the only voice that could have brought him back. Lois may have had the idea, but Olivia made it a reality.

Dex says he understands where Spencer is coming from. Up to now, he and Esme have been raising Ace together. Obviously, living apart changes that dynamic, like a divorce. Spencer says, yes, a divorce where, if he wants to spend time with his own brother, he’ll have to act like a visitor. And it’s not the same as living together. He tells Trina, it’s just not, and Dex asks, what if they could get shared custody? and Spencer says, Esme’s not going to do shared custody with him, not with grandmother on her side. Trina says, Esme doesn’t have to share custody. He’s Ace’s brother, not his father.

Laura says she needs Charlotte to help her understand. She’s trying to keep her father away from Anna to protect him? Charlotte says, yes. Maybe move to London or somewhere near her granddaughter Emma. Anywhere really, as long as she’s away from papa and papa is safe. Laura says, okay, but this is what Victor wanted her to do, right? Charlotte tells her, he said it was the only way. Anna must have figured out she knew about her. That’s why Anna shot her, so she wouldn’t ruin Anna’s plans. Laura says, no, that was a terrible accident, but Charlotte says, it wasn’t. Anna saw her in the apartment. She knew it was her. Anna shot her on purpose. Anna wanted to kill her. Just like she’ll do to papa.

Valentin says he loves Anna, but Charlotte is everything to him. He couldn’t bring himself to tell her that Charlotte was targeting her. She says, so he just lied to her over and over again, and he says he wanted to tell her the truth. She says, but he didn’t. What did he think? That he could fix this? That he would just stitch this whole mess together and they would live in separate worlds, and it would all work? He says he was hoping by moving her into the house and giving her a home with him, that for once it would end her destructive behavior. They met with Doc. She was willing to have… Anna slaps him in the face, then pushes him, and says, shut up. If she’d known Charlotte was the one after her, she never would have pulled a gun. She shot a child. His child. She has to live with that for the rest of her life. She’s never going to forgive him. She storms out, and he can’t believe how stupid he is.

Ned and Olivia leave the boathouse, and he picks up his guitar. He says he thinks he knows the way the song ends now. She says she can’t wait to hear it, and they look out over the water, his arm around her. He says, she saved his life – literally and figuratively. She says, they save each other. That’s what love is. They kiss.

Drew and Curtis’s food comes, and Alexis says, that’s her cue to leave. She has to get back to her dates over there. It was such a pleasure to see Curtis, and he says, good to see her too. Drew says it was good to see her, and she leaves. Curtis tells Drew, sometimes it is so hard to just have a conversation without everyone trying to help when they know good and well they can’t. So that’s why it’s good to just hang out with a good friend who gets it. Drew says, any time, and Curtis asks what he thinks of the Nets’ chances this year, but Drew says he’s not falling for that. Curtis got him last time. Although they do have some good games coming up. Curtis agrees, and says, Boston tomorrow. Drew says, Curtis’s couch, his beer? and Curtis says he’s in… Portia may have other ideas. Drew says, then he’ll have to bring some wine, and Curtis laughs.

Alexis sits down, and Blaze says she’s decided. Kristina says she doesn’t want Blaze to feel pressured, but Blaze says, she’s in. A complete interview; nothing off limits. Alexis says, really? and Blaze says, yes. Kristina brought up some really good points. She can’t complain about what happened to her on one hand and not do everything she can to change it on the other. This is something she can do to stand up for those coming after her. Her contribution to their art, and to their voices. Kristina says she didn’t put it nearly as poetically as that, and Blaze says, that’s what collaboration’s all about. Someone comes up with an idea, someone comes up with the words, put it together, you’ve got magic. She has to make a quick call, but they can talk details when she gets back. She excuses herself and leaves, and Kristina asks what Alexis thinks. Alexis says she thinks Blaze likes Kristina, and Kristina says she likes Blaze too; she’s cool. Alexis says, no. I mean she likes you likes you.

Spencer says, Trina… but Trina says, no. Let’s unpack this. The only way he gets to be Ace’s father is if he’s with Esme, in a relationship. If the two of them are a couple, then they get to raise him together. That is a sure-fire way to solve his problem. Is that what he wants? He says, no, of course (🍷) not. He doesn’t love Esme; he loves her. But he also really loves his little brother, and he knows in his heart that Ace needs to be in his life. Trina says, he will always be in Spencer’s life, just not in the house, but Spencer says, no, because that would be abandoning him, and she knows he’s not going to do that. She says, then he knows what the solution is for that, but where does that leave them? He tells her not to ask him to choose between her and Ace. She’s not going to like the answer. She says, don’t worry. She’ll save him the trouble. She grabs her bag and walks out.

Laura tells Charlotte, don’t worry. She’ll make sure Charlotte’s papa is safe. They’re going to figure all of this out. Charlotte says, Anna can tell that she knows she’s bad. That’s why Anna shot her. Papa can’t trust her. Laura has to tell him. Laura says, it’s going to be all right, she promises. Close her eyes and get some rest. It’s going to be okay. She kisses Charlotte’s forehead and leaves.

In the hallway, Anna says she really needs to talk to Charlotte, but Elizabeth says, it’s only family. Anna says, it will only take one minute, but Elizabeth says, it’s not possible. Laura comes out of Charlotte’s room and Elizabeth goes in. Valentin comes out of the stairwell, and Laura tells Anna that Charlotte’s just fallen back to sleep. Anna says, she doesn’t understand. It’s imperative that she speak with Charlotte right now. Laura says she really thinks Anna should wait… but Anna says, it can’t wait. She has to tell her… Laura says, Anna can’t go in there. Charlotte is terrified of her. She thinks Anna shot her on purpose. Anna cries and says she didn’t, and Valentin hangs his head, as he should.

On Monday… they show scenes from several days ago, so I’m not sure what that means. Either it’s a mistake, or we’re going to be forced to watch news-not-news.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht – The Reunion

Andy welcomes us to the Season 3 Reunion, and thinks this is the first Reunion group that’s actually happy to see each other. He introduces Parsifal III’s Captain Glenn. Gary is next, sporting his detestable man bun, followed by Daisy, who’s in her London apartment. We find out Gary is also in Daisy’s apartment, and Daisy says, he literally arrived ten minutes ago. Andy says, the question is, when is he leaving? and Gary says he’s been there for a week. Daisy says, afterward, they’re having a celebratory drink, and he’ll be on his way. Colin is in Costa Rica; Marcos is in his car in L.A.’s Koreatown; Gabriela is in St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands, which gives Andy major FOMO; and Kelsie is in San Diego. Andy introduces the crew members who are used to joining after everyone else, Scarlett and Barnaby. The closed captions say he’s a d*ck hand, and I’m sure that was on purpose, but wouldn’t necessarily be wrong had it been Gary. Andy says, it was a great season, and while we saw all sides of Ashley, we won’t be seeing her today, since she’s a no-show. I quickly Tweet that she’s a coward, and Tom says he spoke with her yesterday. She said she doesn’t need this in her life, and she’s not interested in taking part. I interpret this to mean, I’m a coward who can’t face what a sh*thead I am. Gary says, when you sign up, you know there’s going to be a Reunion, and Andy says, he sensed she wasn’t thrilled with how the show turned out. Marcos suggests she’s busy, and Daisy says, they’re all busy; cut the bloody bullsh*t. Andy says, just because you don’t show up, doesn’t mean we can’t talk about you, so diving in… He asks how Gary’s love life is, and Gary says, Daisy? Andy tells us, Gabriela is now dating deckhand Wes, and she says they met on Instagram. He was in St. Thomas, and she knew he had a boat. She asked if he planned to sail, and they fell in love. A viewer commends Colin on going public about girlfriend Silvia, and Colin says, they’ve decided to go their separate ways. D’oh! Andy tells us that Colin is back on the market, and I hope if Colin is still single next season, he doesn’t disappoint me by acting like Gary. Andy asks Scarlett, who was the most welcoming besides Gary and his magic tongue (yuk)? and Scarlett says, everyone was great, even though there was a lot of tension.

Andy says, Marcos pulled off a rare feat; he got along with the chief stew, and the guests loved his food. He rarely lost his cool, but he did lose a piece of his head. We revisit Marco’s season on Deck, and Andy says he assumes everyone is trying to hire Marcos now. Marcos says his life is crazy. He opened a restaurant in downtown L.A., a bar, then another L.A. restaurant in Koreatown. He also has a contract with UCLA, and he’s cooking for 1600 people. Andy says, he’s booked and blessed, and we flash back to Marcos’s accident. A viewer asks about guest Charles, who said he could get better food in a ballpark, and Marcos says, Charles was lucky they were on camera. Andy asks Colin which of Marcos’s meals most impressed him, and Colin says, the molecular gastronomy. He was there for most of it, and he’d never seen that before. A viewer asks for Gabriela to shine a light on her relationship with Marcos, and she says she thinks she just rubbed Marcos the wrong way from night one. They kept their distance from each other, and although they had a couple of great conversations where they connected, most of the time, they avoided one another; it was kind of awkward. Marcos agrees 100%, and Andy asks if Marcos apologized for throwing Daisy on Gabriela in the pool. Gabriela says, Daisy accidently kneed her in the face, but she doesn’t think Marcos knew. Andy asks if that’s why Gabriela got so upset, and Gabriela says she was kneed in the face, then hit in the head with a floatie, but she was laughing until Marcos said she was a problem. Andy asks if they sorted things out, and Marcos says, they’ve talked and it’s all good, but I’m not so sure from the look on Gabriela’s face. Andy asks if they’d work together again, and they agree that’s a no. He asks Glenn if Marcos is one of the best chefs he’s worked with, and Glenn says, he’s a legend. He pushes hard, but can hold it together; he’s an amazing chef. Andy asks about Marco’s dating life, and if it’s going down in his DMs, and Marcos says he doesn’t want to go there. But he does, and says he gets naked photos, marry me, and cook for me, and now he has to go cook. I assume not for one of the DMers.

Andy tells us that Gary had a complicated web of boatmances; locking lips with four stews. We flash back to that, as well as the Ashley and Tom debacle. Andy asks Tom if it was Ashley’s tatas that drew him in, and gets a yes. Andy asks Daisy if she wishes she’d given Ashley some advice, but Daisy says she was shocked, and never would have predicted it. Next time, she’ll give everyone a warning. Andy asks if Colin has ever tried to stop Gary, or is it personal entertainment for him? Colin thinks the girls just flocked to Gary this season. He studied the show, and watched how Gary does it. He floods them with compliments, and they get weak in the knees. Gary says, they kissed him, and Daisy tells him, piss off. Gabriela says, not her, but Gary says he begs to differ. Kelsie says she’s the only smart one, and Andy asks if Daisy doesn’t remember them kissing. Daisy says she kissed everyone; it’s not that big a deal. Andy asks what Glenn’s reaction is to Gary and Daisy making out, and Glenn says he’s not surprised; there’s obviously something going on. Andy asks if Daisy regrets kissing Gary, and Gary takes out his earbuds. She says she did for a long time, but time passes, and they’re good friends. She wishes she remembered, since it looked great. She has no regrets.

A viewer asks what Gabriela thought of Ashley’s cringeworthy pursuit of Gary, and Gabriela says she thinks Gary likes a chase. He likes flirting and a chase, and Ashley came on too strong. Gary says, she’s correct, and another viewer says, even though Ashley was a real a-hole, it was no excuse for Tom to berate her and throw a drink at her. Tom agrees that you should never treat anyone like that, especially a woman. Although there was an element of comedy to it, he would take it back if he could. Daisy says, Tom was massively gaslit by Ashley and Gary, but Tom says he shouldn’t have been drinking the way he was. Andy asks how Tom was gaslit by Gary, and Daisy says, Gary told him it was just an innocent massage. Gary is old enough to know, there are no innocent massages. He was making fun of Tom, saying he was crazy; it was just an innocent massage. Tom thanks her for being supportive, and Gary says he didn’t see it the same way, but maybe he should think more. Tom says, when he and Ashley hooked up, it was because she wasn’t getting anywhere with Gary. She was so drunk, she was going to get what she wanted from someone; it didn’t matter who he was. He thinks she was just bored, but Daisy says she doesn’t agree. She thinks Ashley was making a point. Kelsie says she agrees with both of them. She thinks Ashley was jealous, but she’d also expressed that she could separate intimacy from a relationship. She threw Tom under the bus pretty fast when the boat was dragging. Gary says, what about Tom’s feelings? and Daisy says, that’s what she was saying about being gaslit. Jealousy is a nasty trait, and some handle it better than others. A viewer asks if Gabriela regrets kissing Gary, and why did she tell Daisy that she touched Gary’s weenie? Gabriela says she doesn’t regret having a good time, and her words came out like word vomit to Daisy; she had to tell someone. Daisy says she didn’t need to know, and everyone needs to stay away from Gary’s penis. Tom mentions that he has to watch this with his family.

Once again, Andy welcomes us back, even though we’re not the ones who went anywhere. He says, Kelsie has the distinction of being the only woman who didn’t kiss Gary, and asks if she feels left out. She says, no. She and Gary have an amazing relationship that’s strictly a friendship, and she wants to keep it that way. Andy announces that Mary from Wantagh has the million dollar question. No offense, but what do all the women see in Gary that makes them want to be with him? She’s sorry, but Colin is hotter. I couldn’t have said it better myself, and Andy asks them to tell him about the allure of Gary. He’s curious. He’s never met Gary in person. Gary says, Andy would fall head over heels for him, and Scarlett says, Gary was lighthearted, and she was drawn to how she felt with him. Daisy says, it was a win-win for Gary, since there was no competition. (Reminder: Colin was in a relationship during the season.) Andy asks how tall Gary is, and Gary says he gets asked that a lot. His IMDb says he’s 5’3”, but he’s 5’ 8”. Daisy says he compensates with his personality, and Gary insists he’s not short. Gabriela says, Gary has the confidence to flirt with everyone, and casts a wide net. Andy tells him that Daisy said he had a small weenie, and Daisy says she’s heard that a lot from multiple people… She’s joking. It was a low blow because she was pissed. He had small d*ck energy, and she was annoyed. The girls were fighting, she thought he was more to blame, and she was being mean. Andy asks, what about Gary’s weenie freaks her out, and she says, it’s been a lot of places. Gary wiggles his pinky, and she says, she needs to know where her car’s been; how many miles are on it. Andy says, Gary’s hook-up with Ashley got everyone talking. From many viewers’ perspectives, he was sexually assaulted. Gary says, to be honest, he and Ashley aren’t friends, but in her defense, he didn’t think anything of it. He thinks people are being harsh, and feels they should leave Ashley alone. Andy says, that’s not how it seemed, and if their situations were reversed, it would be quite serious. Gary says he understands that, but can’t stress enough to leave her alone. Daisy asks him to clarify that Ashley didn’t assault her, and Gary says, she didn’t. When fans reacted, he’d sent her a message apologizing, and telling her not to take anything too hard.

A viewer asks Gary, who’s the better kisser? and he says, Colin. Andy asks if Scarlett bought it when Ashley said she wasn’t interested in Gary, and Scarlett said, Ashley told her that she was over it. We flash back to Ashley’s bullsh*t, and Scarlett says, from day one. Ashley made it clear she wasn’t interested, but she was hearing things from everyone. She was new, and she had no background. Daisy says, that’s why she was frustrated; it wasn’t jealousy. She was concerned because of what happened with Sydney and Ali. They weren’t going to admit they were jealous, so their outlet was to behave badly. When she saw Ashley getting drunk, she saw herself. She’d done all this, and jealousy makes people nasty; it’s not a good trait. Andy asks how Scarlett felt when she overheard Ashley saying, nobody’s special. We flash back to Ashley saying, nobody’s special and it’s hilarious to her, and Scarlett says, there was so much talking behind her back. She wishes she’d been talked to directly. Andy asks if she thinks Gary led Ashley on, but Scarlett doesn’t think so. Gabriela says she was told Gary would flirt with anything or anyone, but flirting doesn’t mean he’s leading someone on. He told Ashley that he wasn’t interested, so how was he leading her on? Kelsie disagrees, and Daisy says, you have to be careful who you flirt with. People have feelings, and some aren’t as strong as others. Gary protests, but she says, he was the grown-up in the situation, and he was flirting with someone not mature enough to handle it. Colin agrees, and Andy points out that in the Shag-Marry-Kill game, all the women chose him to marry. Colin wonders what that means, and Andy says he thinks it’s good, but Colin says, no one ever wants to bang him, just marry him. Andy says, they all wanted to kill Gary, and Daisy says, if they marry Colin, they get to bang him for the rest of their lives. Andy asks if Daisy’s three-year dry streak has ended, but she says, it was a joke. He asks what her reaction is to Gary saying she’d be a good shag, and she says she’d be a fabulous shag. A viewer asks why Gary was after Daisy this season, and Gary says, if you watch Season 2, you can see he’s always had a soft spot for her and was attracted to her, which is weird to say, since they’re in the same space. He thinks Daisy is gorgeous and a superstar. Andy asks Scarlett if she thinks Daisy has a thing for Gary, but Scarlett says, she thinks they have a great friendship, and love each other as it is. Andy asks who thinks Gary and Daisy will hook up tonight, and Gabriela thinks they should start now. Gary runs into the other room, and grabs Daisy, causing her wine glass to fall, spilling wine on her and smashing the glass. Gary says, love makes you do crazy things, and Andy says, they’re electric. Viewer Vonda asks when Gary is going to realize he’s in love with Daisy, and he says, perhaps there’s some truth in that. Daisy says, whatever, and Andy asks for a show hands from who thinks they should hook up, amending it to make love when everyone except Gary raises their hand. Gary raises his, and Andy says, Gary is optimistic, and in her apartment.

Andy moves on to Tom, who almost puked on his boss on night one. However, that wasn’t his rock bottom, and things got much worse, We flash back to the anchor dragging because Tom wasn’t paying attention; Colin saying in his interview, that it’s 100 times worse than hitting the dock; and Glenn saying he knows Tom wasn’t purposely negligent, but he has to let him go. Andy asks if the make-out session with Ashley was worth it, but Tom says, it was literally 30 seconds. He says, of course he understands it’s his fault, but at the time, he went into self-defense mode. Now that he’s had the time to look back, he’s spoken to everyone, and takes full responsibility. Andy asks what Glenn’s reaction to Tom and Ashley’s canoodling was, and Glenn says he figured it was something like that. He thinks if Tom had been less defensive, it might have gone differently, but he knew there had to be a major distraction; you can feel the conditions change when anchor is being dragged. Andy asks if after Tom puked the first night, Glenn questioned not having his own captain’s quarters, and Glenn says he would love that, but they don’t have enough cabins. He wasn’t upset about it, and was glad Tom had the good sense to cut himself off before it became an issue. Andy asks if being a man down was better than Tom staying, and Glenn says he couldn’t keep Tom on, thinking it might happen again. How would he answer to the insurance company, his boss, and the guests if it happened a second time. He can’t take a chance like that. Andy asks Barnaby if he thinks Tom deserved the boot, and Barnaby says, you can’t stay on the same boat after that; you’ve got to be cut and start again. Andy asks the deckhands if Gary is a good manager despite his drinking and messy hook-ups. He wonders if that made them look differently at Gary, and Kelsie says, Gary is sensitive, but fun. She learned to adapt to his moods. It’s not always fair, but she’s used to doing it in a male dominated industry, and Gary is a very hard worker, and Barnaby says he feels like they’re friends who work together, and Gary tells him what to do. If Gary was busting him all day, it wouldn’t be the same. Glenn says, there’s off the clock and on the clock. When the crew is on, they’re professional, and when they’re off, they have fun, and he sees all of it. He thinks Gary does an amazing job of running the deck. Andy asks what Gary’s response is to Tom saying he was set up for failure, and we flash back to that. Gary says, it blew him away. He was shocked, and had to reflect on himself. Tom says, at the time, he was acting on emotions, and didn’t want to admit he messed up. But he’s grown and understands that he didn’t take responsibility’ Gary wasn’t setting him up. He was immature, and didn’t realize he had some growing up to do, and has to learn from his mistakes.

Andy says, Gabriela traded healing at sea for personal healing on land, and we flash back to the asshat that is Ashley. Andy asks what annoyed Gabriela the most about her, and Gabriela says, Ashley didn’t learn from or take direction from her. He asks Daisy why she made Gabriela second stew, and if she regrets it. Daisy says, it was mainly her age, since age gives more life experience. She has no regrets, but she’s learned that to some people a title means something. She’s not competitive, and doesn’t care as long as she gets paid and has fun (a woman after my own heart). Gary wonders if they needed titles, but Ashley was still under Gabriela and was deliberately disobedient. He wouldn’t have deckhand under him like that. Andy asks if Daisy thinks the relationship with Ashley was one reason for Gabriela’s departure, and Daisy says, she wasn’t involved with that, but thinks it’s a small element to the vast scale of what was happening. Gabriela thanks Gary for his support, and says, it was a one-sided competition with Ashley. Gabriela wasn’t competing; she was just trying to do her job. Ashley undermined her and poisoned her well of feelings. She felt justified in leaving after seeing how intense Ashley’s hate campaign was. She had no clue, and then saw Ashley tried to do the same thing to Scarlett, and felt validated. She’s not imagining things or making it up when she sees Ashley tried to do it to someone else. Andy asks if Daisy saw anything on the show that made her feel differently, and Daisy says she’s a strong woman with strong opinions. She was never influenced by Ashley, and only saw it all after she watched the show. Post-show, she was more disappointed in Ashley, but Ashley had never spoken badly about Gabriela to her. She was fine with how Gabriela was managing, and told Ashley to suck it up and get over it. Andy asks Gabriela, if Ashley hadn’t  been targeting her, would she have left?

Gabriela says she doesn’t think the experience she had was good, and thinks it was because of Ashley. Gabriela’s down points were exhausting and toxic, but she thinks she could have stuck it out if she hadn’t had someone stepping on her toes the entire time. Glenn agrees, and thinks Gabriela was a great second stew. You have to be a good follower before you can be a leader. He thinks Ashley messed herself up, and had an effect on Gabriela. A viewer asks Glenn if he thought Ashley was stirring the pot or was justified, and he says, she may have had some valid complaints, but she was stirring the pot. Daisy chose Gabriela as second stew, and Ashley desperately trying to move up did her no favors. Barnaby wonders why the stews can’t be like the deckhands, and the deckhands have a virtual group hug. Andy asks if Ashley being made lead stew surprised Gabriela, but Gabriela says, Ashley had been there long enough to know the boat. Gary says, it was to shut her up, but Daisy says, she worked hard and deserved it. Scarlett says she did need direction, which Ashley gave her, and Andy asks why Daisy waited until the end. Again, Gary says, to shut her up, and Daisy says, the work was there. All she needs is someone to rely on who will get the job done, and Ashley was amazing with the wedding. She didn’t like the pettiness, hooking up, and getting sh*tfaced. She gets sh*tfaced, but she’s hilarious, while Ashley was just annoying. She needed Ashley to work well with Scarlett, and genuinely felt that she was learning. She felt straight away that Ashley hated Scarlett, but by the end, she felt they were fine. Andy asks how Scarlett felt to hear Ashley say, Scarlett having no experience gave her life. That actually sounds pretty sad, but Scarlett says she was shocked. Ashley seemed unhappy about a lot of things when she was coming in, but her lack of experience probably did give Ashley life, and she’s happy if that’s what Ashley needed. Gary says he was angry when Ashley told the guests that they’d kissed. He thinks she has learning to do if this is the career path she wants. The last thing guests want to hear is crew drama. Andy says he loves hearing crew drama on a cruise, and if I went on a cruise, I would too.

Andy asks if Barnaby really taught Barrack Obama how to surf, and Barnaby says, Obama came to a private island where he was working. It was amazing. Andy asks Glenn if he bought Erika’s public apology or does he think the skimpy tip was an intentional slight. Glenn says he thinks she had a gripe from the prior season, and it was on purpose; there was nothing wrong with the food. Daisy completely agrees. She doesn’t know if they even know what planet they’re on. Andy asks if she still has the necklace Cyndi gave her, we flash back to that, Daisy says, no, and I wonder if she put it on eBay. Andy asks who Barnaby’s favorite guests were, but he says he can’t even remember any of their names or anything about them. Andy asks how Gabriela felt, being the most diverse person in the crew, and she says, anyone who works in an industry that’s not very diverse would understand. Being on the show was a good way for people to see there’s room for them in the industry. It’s uncomfortable not to feel anyone understands you or you have support. She’s never worked under a Black captain before, and it’s a proud feeling. Lead by example, and work hard. Do the course, and you can do it too. Andy asks if there’s anyone Glenn wouldn’t rehire, and if this was his favorite crew. Glenn says, without the anchor dragging incident, he’d work with Tom, and he was very impressed with Barnaby and Scarlett coming in at the end. They did an amazing job, despite Scarlett being new on the job, and dealing with the politics of Ashley and Gary. He loves them all. Scarlett thanks Glenn, and he says he knows it wasn’t easy, and he wouldn’t want to work with Ashley again.

Andy asks who’s still in yachting, and Colin says he got a catamaran; he’s sailing around the world. Everyone else is still in boating, except for Barnaby, who took his tip money and built a business converting Land Rovers to Tesla electric power. Go Barnaby.

Andy says it’s time to officially end the season, but since Gary and Daisy are under one roof in the UK, he’ll have to follow up.

The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girl’s Trip, Ex-Wives Club

Bravo had a sneak peek of the show tonight, and while I doubt I’ll have the time to watch this on Peacock, I’m sure it will eventually find its way to Bravo, where I’ll no doubt partake of yet another guilty pleasure. I hate half the cast, but it’s an eclectic mix, and who doesn’t love Bluestone Manor, fish room and all? Okay, maybe Vicki. The flashbacks were fun, and Vicki was already bitching about being back in the franchise she didn’t want to leave.

My quick take on the cast…

Dorinda: I love her, and love how she takes hostessing so seriously. Eva: I don’t know her. Literally, not like Mariah Carey doesn’t know Jennifer Lopez. Phaedra: I feel like I shouldn’t like her, shady as she is, but I do. She has a fabulous way with words. Taylor: I’ve always felt badly about her situation, being married to that awful husband, and then him committing suicide, but it looks like she’s blossoming now. She’s remarried, stands up for herself, and even gained some weight. She was scary skinny by the end of her run. Brandi: She makes me want to throw up. I can’t stand her, and hate that she’s still profiting from the franchise. Tamra: Ditto, but she has the added anti-bonus of being a fake Christian. Vicki: Ugh. While she’s had her good moments, she’s always been bossy and entitled. She just can’t understand why she was let go. Um… no one cares anymore. Jill: Thirsty AF. It makes me uncomfortable when a woman embarrasses herself like that. Which is why I don’t watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette shows.

General Hospital

Sam finds Carly at the MetroCourt bar, and Carly says, good. Sam got her message. Sam asks, what’s up? Carly says, it’s been a while since they talked about Sam’s investigation into Esme. Trina’s trial is coming up, so… Sam says, it’s even more important that they nail Esme for taking the video of Joss and Cam, and putting it online. Carly says, so, what’s Sam got?

Nikolas flashes back to… Can we please retire this flashback? I’m going to need therapy sessions. Ava comes in, and says, fond or fraught? His thoughts. Whatever they are, he’s totally absorbed. Want to share?

Esme comes into Windymere, and Spencer says, she disappeared on him again. She says she promises not to make it a habit. She was just mailing a letter. I wonder for a moment how one does that on Spoon Island. He says, she hasn’t changed her mind and decided to move out, but she says, why would she do that when things are so much better between them? They kiss, and he says he thought she might have regrets about last night, agreeing to live with his father and Ava. She says, no regrets. His father’s just been wonderful. He says, like father, like son, and she says, something like that.

Josslyn goes to the gallery, and asks Trina, busy day? Trina is bringing in a painting, and says, no busier than usual. They have a client picking this up. Josslyn asks if she can talk, and Trina says, sure. What’s up? Josslyn says, they’re leaving Port Charles.

Britt says, Cody agrees she should sue for what he did? She never thought he would admit guilt. She’s recording this for posterity. He says, she doesn’t want to sue him; he’s not the one she has the problem with. She says, he made the parachute landing, and dragged her in the pool; she was drenched. Hemmed in by the parachute, she could have easily drowned. She’s pretty sure her problem is with him. He says, while you can drown in a few feet of water, most of the victims tend to be either unconscious or alone, and she was neither. She says, maybe they should let a jury decide, and he says, she’s going about this all wrong. She doesn’t want to sue him, and doesn’t want to claim some near drowning that didn’t occur. What she wants to do is go by the classic tail of corporations trying to take advantage of the little guy – or gal. Tell him, is she the type of woman to stand for that?

Sasha comes out to the kitchen, and takes what looks like an OTC pill bottle out of her purse. She starts to open it, when Gladys flies out. Gladys says, no! and knocks it out of Sasha’s hand, scattering pills everywhere. Brando walks in, and asks, what’s going on?

Nikolas says he has a lot on his mind since yesterday, and Ava says she does too. She can’t believe how close they came to ending their marriage. She’s just relieved they came to their senses before they jumped off that cliff. He says, she left early this morning; is everything okay? She says she just had some work at the gallery. Did she wake him? He says, it’s just nice having her in his bed again, and she says, sleeping in the same bed feels like an important step. Even if they are taking things slow, they have some things to work out. He says, they will, and she says she knows. She loves him too much not to. He says he loves her too, and they’re about to kiss, when Spencer and Esme walk in. Esme says, love is all around. Isn’t that wonderful?

Josslyn tells Trina, she’s always wanted to study abroad, and she figured, why wait? They’ve been through so much freshman year. Going away just feels right. Trina says, sure does, and Josslyn says, they can go to Europe next spring. Trina says, that sounds great, but… Josslyn says, volleyball season will be over, note submissions are due early next semester. Florence and Barcelona are her top two picks right now. They’re both great, but there’s other options they can explore. Trina says, stop, and Josslyn says, why? She thought Trina would be into this idea. Trina says she would love to go to Florence or Barcelona, but by next spring, she could be expelled from PCU or in prison. Probably both.

Sam tells Carly, she may have a lead from someone close to Esme, when Spinelli walks in, wearing a sport jacket and dress pants. He says, greetings and salutations, lovely ladies. How are you two delightful women doing on this glorious day? Carly says, more new clothes, huh? and Spinelli asks if they meet with her approval. Carly says, they’re nice, and he says, that’s the most gracious compliment she could muster? Nice? Carly says she was used to his old look, and he asks if Sam told her about the occurrence at the Society Set-Ups event yesterday. She says, her staff filled her in; a skydiver crashed the party. Sam says, and straight into Britt Westbourne, and Spinelli says, who was completely unharmed, by the way, but it was pretty wild. Sam says, what was even more wild was, the skydiver happens to be an old friend of Dante’s. They went to summer camp together. His name is Cody, but Dante whisked him away from Britt, and the three of them had dinner at Charlie’s. Spinelli says, they did? He’s pretty sure he saw Dante put handcuffs on him, and take him to the PCPD. Sam says, it never actually got that far. Dante acted like he was arresting Cody for Britt’s benefit. Spinelli says, thank goodness. He just means, it wasn’t the man’s fault that he fell into Britt. He didn’t do it on purpose. Spinelli’s phone rings, and he says he’s got to take this. He steps away, and Carly asks if it’s just her, or is something off with Spinelli? Sam says, it’s not just her. She noticed it at the fundraiser. Something is definitely off with Spinelli, and it’s not just the wardrobe.

Britt says she’s listening, and Cody says, his stunt should have never gone that far, and you know whose fault it is? She says, his? but he says he’s a mere cog in the corporate wheel. She says, the corporation being… and he says, the MetroCourt, of course (🍷). They were supposed to protect his landing zone. Instead, they let her, and anyone else, just walk right through. Britt asks if the MetroCourt hired him for the skydiving stunt, but he says, no. That would be Society Set-Ups. They actually rented this whole place, they engineered the stunt, and poor lonely shlubs like herself… She says, excuse me? Who calls anyone a shlub? He says, they orchestrated this dangerous marketing ploy in front of a party of vulnerable losers. The MetroCourt is responsible for the safety of all of its guests. The corporations have the money. You need to take back your power, lady. Sue their socks off.

Sasha says, it’s aspirin for her headache, and Gladys says, aspirin? Brando picks up the bottle and shows her, and she says, right, aspirin. He asks why she slapped it out of Sasha’s hand, and Gladys says, the baby shoes were delivered… Sasha backordered them… and Brook took them… She’s going to donate them to charity. Brando hugs Sasha, saying, he’s so sorry, but she says she’s fine. It was just an accident. It’s no big deal; she’ll get a broom. He says, it is a big deal, and asks Gladys what she thought Sasha was taking.

Sam says, they’ll talk about Spinelli in a minute, but she was just about to give Carly an update on Esme. They sit down, and Carly says, she has a lead? and Sam says, it’s a longshot, but Esme had a nanny who helped raise her after her adoptive parents died. Apparently, they were pretty close. Carly says, sounds promising, but Sam says she hasn’t been able to locate the nanny yet. Carly asks if she has a name, and Sam says, Maggie Fitzgerald. She’s working on tracking her down, but all she has is that Maggie was somewhere in London, and she doesn’t have an address yet. Carly asks how Sam found out about Maggie, and Sam says she has a source who’s very familiar with Esme’s upbringing. The source said Esme and Maggie had lost touch, but this person told her there’s more to the story. Carly asks if Sam thinks Maggie can give them some dirt on the real Esme, and Sam says she’s hoping so, but she has to track Maggie down first. Carly asks if Sam can’t ask her source. Who is it anyway?

Spencer says, sorry for intruding. He and Esme should have knocked first. Nikolas says, this is Spencer’s home, and he’s glad Spencer decided to stay, even if he was bribed into doing so. He looks at Ava, and she takes his arm. She says, the important thing is, they’re all here together, and Esme says she totally agrees. Nikolas asks if they have any big plans today, and Spencer says, he was thinking of car shopping. Since he’s gained access to his trust fund, he wants to get something new and Italian for his girl, but first, he and Esme have some errands to run. Esme says, they really must get going. Nice seeing them. Ava says, not so fast. No one is going anywhere until they hash things out.

Josslyn says she truly believes Trina is going to be found not guilty, especially since she and Cameron are going to testify on her behalf. She’s not trying to make light of the trial – she knows it’s going to be rough – but this will give Trina something positive to look forward to. Trina says, even if Josslyn is right, there’s still a Title IX investigation. Josslyn has a copy of the report, and knows how bad it makes her look. Josslyn says, she knows; she flipped out when she read it. Her mom made her sit with Diane. Josslyn knew the whole thing was total bull, and wanted to correct it. Trina asks what Diane said, and Josslyn tells her, Diane said it was a finding of facts. She can’t challenge anything if she wasn’t misquoted in her interview, and she’s afraid she wasn’t. But Diane also said, just because something looks bad, doesn’t mean we know what the determination is going to be. Trina says, she’s been so afraid of getting expelled, she’s only been reading the worst in the report. Josslyn says, Diane also told her that it’s no guarantee Trina will get expelled. PCU could decide to offer her a sanction, suspend her for a semester. Trina says, maybe. She told Rory that she just needs to not think about it; find a distraction. Josslyn says, Trina told Rory? Why?

Britt asks what Cody would do if he was her, but he says, no, he’s not going there. She says, humor her. She’s giving him permission. He says, hypothetically speaking, first, he’d hire a good lawyer, then he’d find a killer witness. She says, there were a lot of people at the party, and the whole thing was recorded, but he says, he was thinking of someone more directly connected to Society Set-Ups. Someone with insider knowledge; someone who could really hold up when their feet were put to the fire. She says, someone like him? and he laughs.

Brando says, Gladys didn’t want Sasha to take those pills; why not? Sasha says, Gladys thought she was back on drugs, the habit forming kind. His mother believes she relapsed. He asks why Gladys thinks Sasha is using pills, and Sasha says, because Gladys knows she’s been having a hard time; with Liam, then the accident with Harmony Miller, plus all the pressure from the IPO launch of Deception. Gladys overreacted. Gladys says, some of Sasha’s behavior triggered memories of when Brando was struggling with addiction. How he’d do anything for a fix. When she saw Sasha with the pill bottle, she got the wrong idea. Sasha says, and it is the wrong idea. She told Gladys before, there’s nothing to worry about, and Brando says, she had this conversation before with his mother? Is that why Gladys moved in with them? Is Sasha using again?

Cody says, if Britt’s lawyer subpoenaed him, he’d have to tell the truth. They’d probably want to know about Zelda Tolesco. Britt asks, what’s a Zelda Tolesco? and he says, she’s the matchmaker who runs Society Set-Ups. This company clearly cares more about lining their own pockets than getting her a date. Who knows how many other washed up women that Zelda’s preyed on besides Britt? She asks, what’s his point? and he says, his point is, if her lawyer subpoenaed him, he’d have to tell the judge about his meeting with Zelda; the one in which his concerns about the skydiving stunt were left unheeded. She says, and he would be eager to do that, but he says, not eager – he doesn’t want bad blood with any employer – but he’d never lie under oath. She says, of course (🍷) not, and he says, get herself a killer witness, and she’ll get a big settlement. She says, and would this star witness want a percentage of her settlement in exchange for betraying said employer?  He says, who knows what motivates people? and she says she knows what motivates him. She gets up, and shoves him off his chaise and into the pool.  

Sasha says, she told Gladys that she wasn’t using drugs anymore, and Gladys admits she moved in because she was afraid Sasha would relapse. Sasha says she wanted to prove to Gladys that her fears were unfounded, and Brando asks, why didn’t she come to him? She says she didn’t want to worry him, and Gladys says, neither did she. He says he understands Sasha, but Gladys has had no problems worrying him in the past. Sasha tells him, don’t blame Gladys. Gladys confronted Sasha with her suspicions, and she admitted she was having a hard time. Gladys was doing her a huge favor by not telling him. Brando says, if Gladys was wrong about Sasha, why did she still move in with them… Because my mother wasn’t wrong. He tells Sasha, they’ll talk to Doc and find out what their options are. He can refer them to a good rehab facility, or something here maybe; an outpatient program or a group. Sasha says, no, but he says, she needs all the support from them she can get. She says she doesn’t need this kind of support, and Gladys tells him, listen to his wife. He says, Gladys is the one who wanted to slap a pill bottle out of Sasha’s hands. They kept it from him; what is he supposed to think? Gladys says, after all the lies he’s told her, he owes her this one.

Sam says, Carly knows she can’t reveal her source. Esme is dangerous; she’s crossed lines. Carly says she gets it. Sam can’t risk Esme finding out and retaliating, but if it was something she needed to know… Sam says she’d tell Carly. Sam looks over at Spinelli talking with a guy at another table, and Carly says, Sam is worried about him. Sam says, he’s not acting like himself, and all of a sudden, he’s dressing like… that, and that is not cheap. Carly asks if she thinks it’s because Ellie left him, but Sam doesn’t know. They really haven’t spent time together. Maybe he’s lonely, or maybe he’s missing his friends, but Spinelli’s always has his own unique style, which she loved. This is different, it’s flashy; like he’s trying to be someone he’s not. Carly asks if Sam talked to him about it, and Sam says, of course (🍷) she did. He promised her he’s not doing anything dangerous They look over at Spinelli, who’s talking animatedly, and Carly says, that looks pretty volatile to her.

Trina says she and Rory hung out yesterday, and Josslyn says, details please. Trina says, the only detail that matters is when he took her home – Josslyn says, Rory took her home? – her dad was there, and totally humiliated her and Rory, telling Rory that he’s breaking an unwritten rule in copdom by spending time with her while she’s waiting for her trial to start. Josslyn asks what Rory said, and Trina tells her, Rory was great, but all the distractions in the world won’t change that she has a criminal trial and a Title IX investigation hanging over her head. She can’t visualize the future the way Josslyn does. She can’t think about classes, studying abroad, or even this job and her friends. Not when things could be different by the end of the summer. Josslyn says, no matter what happens, she’ll always be here for Trina, and it sounds like Rory will too. Trina says, if she’s in Pentenville, the PCPD could order him to stay away from her. While she appreciates Josslyn’s loyalty and support, she noticed Josslyn left out Cam. Josslyn says, she’s not sure if they can count on Cam anymore.

Ava says, the four of them will be cohabitating for the foreseeable future. She doesn’t think there’s a need to pretend there won’t be difficulties. She and Nikolas will be working on their marriage, and in the spirit of reconciliation, they should all truly make an effort to get along. Esme says, absolutely. They should all be closer, and she for one, is willing to do what it takes to make that happen. Spencer tells Ava, whatever you say, and Ava thanks him. She says, she and Spencer have an arrangement; she gives him an allowance from his trust fund, and he agrees to live here and work things out with his father, but she wants to be clear about something. The allowance depends on how they both behave. Esme says she’s confused. She thought Ava’s deal was with Spence, but Ava says, as long as Esme is living in their home, the deal includes her. Spencer says, it’s just like Ava to change the terms of their agreement on a whim, and Ava says, they’ve both done horrible things to her and people she cares about. She’s just giving them a friendly warning. If either of them reverts to past behavior, the deal is off. Esme says, Ava thinks she’s responsible for something she didn’t do. What happens the next time Ava’s precious little Trina lies about her? Is she sending Esme and Spence out to the streets? Nikolas says, that’s not going to happen, and Ava tells Esme not to mention Trina’s name in her presence, but Esme says she’s not Ava’s puppet. Don’t dare try to control her. Ava says, and if she does?  

Spinelli and the guy stand up, and Carly asks if they should step in. Sam says, let’s go. The guy stomps off, and Carly and Sam go to Spinelli’s table. He asks, to what does he owe the pleasure? and Carly says, nice try. She almost called security. Sam asks, who was that guy? and he says, no one of concern. Carly says, they saw what was going on, and it was very concerning. Sam says, he’s clearly in trouble, so she wants him to stop lying to her, and tell her what’s going on.

Trina asks if something happened between Josslyn and Cam, but Josslyn says, it’s nothing compared to what Trina is going through. Trina says, forget comparison; there’s obviously tension between Josslyn and Cam. They’re her friends; she cares. So tell her all of it. Josslyn says she thinks there’s something Cam’s not telling her. He says there isn’t, but she swears there’s something gong on. Trina says, any ideas? and Josslyn says, it’s about Spencer and Esme. Cam’s attitude makes no sense. He claims he knows Esme’s guilty, but there’s never any follow-through. Trina says, Cam gave Spencer a second chance. Maybe he just feels stuck in the middle. Josslyn says, it’s more than that. Cam’s not telling her something, and that’s bad enough. What if he knows something that could affect Trina’s trial and he’s holding back? Trina asks why Josslyn thinks Cam knows something, and Josslyn says, because she told him they should break up Spencer and Esme, and he snapped at her, and said, they can’t. Trina asks if he said why, but Josslyn tells her, none of it made any sense. He was doing backflips to change the subject, and later he texted her, saying he was going to set Spencer straight about Esme, and she hasn’t heard from him since. They don’t need him. They can break Spencer and Esme up themselves. Trina says, Josslyn is wrong. They can’t do that.

Ava says, go on, tell her to go to hell. Then Esme can watch as Spencer’s allowance dries up, and he goes back to waiting tables at Kelly’s, maybe with Esme taking orders beside him. Esme asks why Ava gets to decide what constitutes good and bad behavior, and Ava says, because she controls the money. Nikolas says he thought they were moving past this animosity. Ava and Spencer came to an understanding; they don’t have to push the envelope. He’s sure they can trust Esme to do the right thing, and Ava says, if they could, she doesn’t think Esme would be so resistant. Spencer says, he agreed to Ava’s terms. She’s the one who changed the rules at the last minute to spite Esme. But he loves his father and doesn’t want to hurt him, so he’ll agree to the eleventh hour change. That’s fine. Nikolas thanks him, and Esme says, all she wants is what’s best for Spence and Mr. Cassadine. If they’ll excuse her… She slams out, and Ava says, she needs a martini, maybe a double. Nikolas says he’ll get ice, and goes out. In the foyer, Esme says she was hoping he’d come find her.

As Cody hoists himself out of the pool, Britt says, who’s washed up now? He asks, what was that for? and she says, he really thinks she’s some lovelorn loser, in the market to buy what he’s selling? He says he was just trying to help, and she says, he means help himself? She’s on to him, and it’s going to take more than his pathetic pitch to get one over on her. A woman comes in, and says, Britt Westbourne? She’s Zelda Telesco. She’s been looking for Britt. Britt says, Society Set-Ups Zelda Telesco? and Zelda says, the one and only. She’s been looking for Cody too. What’s going on with him and Britt? Britt says, he’s just practicing his moves in preparation for his next party, and Cody asks if Zelda has his check. She says, after she speaks to Britt, and he says he has to dry off anyway. He leaves, and Zelda says, let her buy Britt a drink, and they can discuss yesterday’s unfortunate incident. Britt says, Zelda means her total humiliation? and Zelda says, she’s here to make that all go away.

Brando asks when he’s lied to Gladys, and she says, after he came back from Iraq and started using. Anyone with eyes could see he was spiraling out of control, but he insisted he was fine, and said she was melodramatic for thinking he was taking drugs. He lied to her face every single day. He says he’s sorry, and she says, when she saw the same signs in Sasha, and realized she was struggling, it scared her. She didn’t want to fail Sasha the way she failed him. She thought she was also helping him, because what’s best for Sasha is best for him. Brando asks if he and Sasha can have a minute, and Gladys leaves. Brando tells Sasha, he made a vow, for better or for worse, and he plans on sticking to that vow, no matter how dark it gets. She says she knows. It’s one of the reasons she married him. He tells her, so please be honest with him. Is there any truth to his mother’s concerns?

Spinelli assures Sam, there’s nothing to worry about, but she says, too late. She’s worried. Carly says, if he crossed the wrong person, call Drew. She knows he’d be willing to help. That Navy SEAL background can be very persuasive. He says, that’s nice, but it’s fine; everything is under control. Sam asks how long they’ve known each other. She knows when something is wrong, and something is definitely wrong. She thinks they should sit here and talk about it for as long as it takes, and Carly says she thinks that’s a good idea. Spinelli says he’s seeing a therapist. After his breakup with Ellie, he’s been lonely, and wanted to seek some professional help. Carly says, so he meets his therapist at the MetroCourt? but Spinelli says, that wasn’t his therapist. They have a billing issue, and his therapist sent a collection agent after him. He didn’t handle it as well as he could, but it’s settled now and all is good. Time is a-wasting; he must be off. He tells them, have a super day, and jets. Carly asks if Sam is buying that, and Sam says, not even a little.

Josslyn says, breaking up Spencer and Esme is their best shot at isolating Esme, and proving she framed Trina. Without Spencer there to protect her, she’s going to lose Nikolas, and Victor, and Spoon Island… Trina says, she’ll leave town, because she’ll have no reason to stay in Port Charles. Esme knows she set Trina up. She knows they’re on to her. She’s also smart enough to know that without the Cassadines, she has nothing to fall back on. Josslyn asks if Trina thinks Esme would really just disappear, and Trina says, she’ll slip through the cracks; hide someplace where no one can find her. Which is why Spencer and Esme need to stay together. Josslyn says, Esme set them both up. She put Josslyn’s private moments on blast, and framed Trina for it. They’re supposed to just let her get away with that?

Nikolas says, Esme has had a day to process what happened between them. How is she feeling? She says, honestly? She’s still a bit overwhelmed. She’s sorry she let her emotions get the better of her in there. Nikolas says, Ava took her by surprise. Ava has a way of doing that to people. Esme wonders if their relationships will ever normalize. Everything is so complicated. Nikolas says, things are working between him and Ava just like they’re working between her and Spencer. What happened between them, they were both hurting and looking for comfort (eww!). It doesn’t mean any more than that, right? She says, absolutely. She loves Spence, and he loves Ava. She meant it when she said they never have to know. She cares about Nikolas, and doesn’t want what happened to complicate his life. He says, or hers. He’s going out this afternoon. Does she need him to pick anything up for her from the pharmacy? She says, she has it all taken care of. She promises him, she wants everything to work out.

Spencer says, since Ava felt free to renegotiate their deal, he has some changes of his own. She tells him, don’t push it, and he says, release him from his restitution at the gallery now. She asks, why? and he says, it’s bad enough he’s going to be living here with her, and forced to act civil, and the same extends to Esme? He’s repaid his debt to her. She says, he hasn’t begun to pay for the terror he put her through, and he says, she wants Esme to behave, doesn’t she? Working at the gallery with Trina is just going to provoke her more. She says, after everything Esme has done, the last thing she cares about are Esme’s feelings, and he says, then care about Trina’s. Does Ava think she wants him around while she’s with… that guy? Ava says, what guy?

Zelda says, on behalf of Society Set-Ups, she’s mortified at what happened to Britt at their event, and Britt says, with all due respect, Zelda isn’t half as mortified as she is. Being knocked into the pool by Zelda’s skydiver? She won’t live that down. Zelda says, Cody is a little rough around the edges; she shouldn’t have hired him in the first place. Britt says, whatever. She will no longer be attending any of these Society Set-Ups events ever again. Zelda says, Britt is frustrated that her service hasn’t been successful for her. How about if she makes it up to Britt by giving her the next six-months for free, and making Britt her top priority? That kind of reminds me of how, when you complain about a product, and say you’re never buying it again, they send you a coupon for it. Zelda says she promises Britt won’t have to waste any more time being alone. Cody comes over, and says, the check? Zelda takes it out of her bag, and gives it to him. She tells Britt that she’ll be in touch, and leaves. Cody looks at the check, and says, son of bitch.

Sasha tells Brando, Gladys isn’t wrong about how much she’s been struggling. With Deception going public right after losing Liam, the accident with Harmony… Brando says, of course (🍷) it tested her sobriety, but she didn’t have to hide it from him. She says she wasn’t using; there was no need. She told him, Gladys overreacted. He asks if she’s sure, and she takes his hand and says, she doesn’t need that kind of help anymore. Not when she has this wonderful new life, and the most amazing husband in the world. He says, including a shockingly caring mother-in-law? and she says, Gladys has her moments. Believe her. She doesn’t claim to be happy all of the time, but her life is good. Her days are more full of good than bad. And right now, he’s her drug of choice. He says he’s still worried about her, and he needs to do something about it.

Nikolas says he came out to get ice. He needs to do that before Ava wonders what happened to him. Esme says she can tell keeping their secret is taking a toll on him. If he changes his mind, and decides he needs to tell Ava what happened between them, she’ll support him. He won’t be alone.

Spencer tells Ava, the cop who’s been hanging around the gallery. Officer Cabrera? He’s the one Spencer is referring to. Ava says, the one who’s keeping Trina from being harassed, after Spencer’s girlfriend made a sex tape of Joss and Cam, framed Trina for it, and then posted it on the it for everybody to see? He says, his interest in Trina is more than professional, and Ava says, and this creates such a problem for Spencer that he can’t do his restitution at the gallery? So this attempt to work things out with Esme, his heart isn’t really in it. He says, she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. He loves Esme. She says, he did maybe at one point, but now she thinks he’s far more invested in his feelings for Trina. And they’re only growing.

Trina asks if Josslyn doesn’t think it’s killing her that Esme believes she’s winning. Esme’s not getting away with what she did to her, to them, but they’re playing the long game here. Josslyn says, but she’s been going crazy trying to get the proof, and Trina says, they just have to keep thinking. Something out of the box they haven’t thought of before. Both of their phones ding, and Trina says, it’s PCU. The Title IX determination has been made.

Brando says, they should postpone their reception; it’s one more stress that Sasha doesn’t need right now. Sasha says, life is stressful. Celebrating their marriage with friends and family can only make her happy. He asks if she’s not just saying that, but she says she wants to show him off. Besides, she loves him. He says he loves her too. Okay. The reception goes on as planned. They hug, and Gladys comes back. Sasha mouths thank you behind Brando’s back.

Britt asks if Cody got shorted, and he says, the deal was his fee, plus hotel accommodations and amenities. Zelda shorted him the $500 for amenities. Know anything else about how this company screws people over? She says, he spent $500 in amenities? and he says, skydiving is very hard on the body. He needed a massage, and you can’t have a massage without wine. She says, right. He probably shouldn’t be drinking alcohol. Massages are dehydrating, and tap water is free. He says she’s enjoying this, and she says, he has no idea how much. He says, they’re not all rolling in money, and she says, he could sue. Good luck finding a killer witness as desperate as he is. She drains her drink and leaves.

Carly says, something’s not right with that so-called bill collector, and Sam says, Spinelli seeing a therapist does make sense. He was saying he was lonely. Carly says, but he’s getting money from somewhere. What billing issues could he possibly have? Sam says, maybe it’s a misunderstanding, and Carly says, big enough for the therapist to send a bill collector to the MetroCourt? Therapists don’t do that; they call. Sam says she knows something’s not right, but what? Carly says she doesn’t know. They need to take Spinelli out, and have him open up to them. They can take him out hatchet throwing. Sam says, it sounds like a plan. It’s not like Spinelli to keep things from her. Carly says, but this is Spinelli they’re talking about. He can’t be in any real trouble.

In an alleyway, Zelda says, it’s handled. Britt Westbourne won’t be a problem. Spinelli hands her a wad of cash, and says, good. It’s important no one knows what he’s up to.

Tomorrow, Laura tells Cameron, if there was ever a time, it’s now; Gregory thinks there’s more to the story; Ava asks what kind of game Spencer is playing; and Ryan screams at Mac.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

On the phone, Sonny tells Brick that he got the latest report on the west coast competition, while I try to figure out what on earth is that sculpture or taxidermy or both in his office. What is that??? There’s knock at the door, and Frank brings in Dex. Sonny tells Brick, something just came up, but he’ll get the report to him. He says, Dex doesn’t waste any time; he just saw Dex this morning. Dex says, Sonny told him there might be more work for him, so why wait? Sonny tells Frank that he can go, and Dex says he brought his resumé. Sonny takes it, and tears it up.

In an exam room, Brando wonders, where’s TJ? and tells Sasha, they should have the results of the CT scan by now. She says, maybe he got caught up with another patient. She’s sure the CT will be fine. All she has is a headache and some jangled nerves. They shouldn’t even have bothered him. Brando says, she had a major shock last night. He’s tracking TJ down. He leaves, and Sasha’s hand shakes as she holds a cup of water. TJ comes in, and says he’s sorry it took so long; there’s a back-up in radiology. Her CT looked fine, but does she want something for the headaches?

At the MetroCourt Garden, Gladys looks at the memory card, and flashes back to Sasha trying to escape the photographer. Valentin asks if he can be of some assistance.

Curtis sees Jordan at the hospital and asks if she’s okay. She says she’s fine; she passed her latest check-up with flying colors. He asks, what’s with the concerned expression? and she says she’s following up on the Harmony Miller case. What about him? He says he was hoping to speak with TJ, but he’s been working these 24 hour shifts, and it’s been hard to get ahold of him. Jordan tells him, one thing you can say about her son, he’s no slacker, and Curtis agrees. She asks what he wants to talk to TJ about… Sorry, none of her business. Old habits die hard.

Nina peeks in the window of the nail salon, then goes inside. The receptionist asks if she can help, but Nina says she sees who she’s looking for. She whips the towel off of Scotty’s face, and asks the technician to give them a second. He says, if Nina is looking for a manicure, Veronica is her girl, but if she’s looking for her attorney, he’s busy. She says, too bad. She needs his full and complete attention, and she needs it now.

Willow says, that’s not true, and Dante says, he’s sorry, but the evidence they have that says she’s not Harmony’s biological daughter is from Dr. Byrne’s notes; what’s left of them anyway. Michael says, what’s left? and Carly says, Harmony burned most of them. She found the remaining sheets in a folder Harmony missed. Dante says, what they have are partial notes from Dr. Byrne’s therapy sessions with Harmony, and Michael says, if it’s only a partial record, maybe he misunderstood Dr. Byrne’s notes. Carly says, Harmony said Willow wasn’t her biological daughter, and Michael says, that would explain why she attacked Carly and Alexis. So no one else would know the truth. Dante says he’s sorry. He knows Willow has questions, and the PCPD will do their best to give her answers. Willow says, it’s a lie.

Sonny says he can’t rely on resumés. Chet already said all kinds of nice things about Dex, and he already knows Dex can handle himself by the way he handled those fighters that were supposed to be sparring, but ended up fighting. Dex asks if that means he has a job, but Sonny says he has to get to know Dex better before he decides if Dex is the right fit for one of his businesses. Dex says, coffee, import/export, and Sonny says, the most important thing is trust, especially in his business. He has to know if he can trust Dex. If that’s a problem, they stop right now. I’m starting to think Sonny really does deal in coffee, since we don’t see him deal in anything else really.

TJ tells Sasha, they’ll start with an over the counter, non-habit forming medication, and that should take care of the headaches. If it doesn’t work, he’ll prescribe something stronger. Brando walks in, and looks at the prescription in Sasha’s hand.

Gladys says, it’s been a while, and Valentin says, it has, sitting down. He says, he was about to leave, when he saw her sitting there staring at that memory card. He takes it out of her hand, and slides her laptop over. He asks if she wants him to open the files, but she says she can handle it. He says, what have we here? He looks at a picture of Sasha, and says, it’s the Face of Deception.

Jordan says, if she sees TJ, she’ll tell him that Curtis is looking for him. He says, wait. It’s about Marshall. She says, what about him? and he says, TJ likes the guy, and wants to know his grandfather. She says, TJ has a big heart, and he’s very forgiving. Marshall’s absence for all these years hasn’t hurt him the way it has Curtis. He says, still, there are some things TJ’s entitled to know, and she says, such as? He says, such as who and what Marshall really is.

Scotty tells Nina, for cryin’ out loud, get lost, but she says she’s not getting lost. He’s supposed to be preparing to help her fight to be in her grandson’s life, not getting a manicure. He says, judges like well-manicured lawyers. Not to mention, her Aunt Liesl likes it when his nails are clipped and polished, and ready for action. She says, the state of his cuticles isn’t a high priority right now, since she got an advance copy of the five-part series The Invader is going to run. He says he got it too, and she asks why he’s so calm. They’re trying to sabotage her, even before she sets foot in a courtroom. He says, who’s they? and she says, Michael and Willow, who else?

Michael tells Willow, it’s a lot to process. Dante can come back later. She says, Neil Byrne? He lost his medical license. He was a drug addict. Who’s to say he didn’t make up lies about her mother to feed his own fantasy; blaming her for an imaginary adoption? The man was obviously delusional. Dante tells her, as he said, the PCPD is not going to accept anything without further proof, but she has to ask herself, why would  Harmony kill her psychiatrist and his brother if not to keep her secret protected? Willow says she doesn’t know, but she does know her mother loved her. Maybe she wasn’t the best mom, but she loved Willow as only a mother can love her child, especially now, before she… Michael says, his mother told them Harmony admitted the truth to her; she wouldn’t lie. Carly sits with them, and tells Willow that Harmony said it to her again; to her and Alexis at Ring-Around-the-Rosie Point. That’s why she attacked them. She was so desperate to keep her secret, and when it started coming out, she just lost it. Michael says, maybe that’s what drove Harmony to the middle of the road without looking. She had hopes of finding Willow, telling Willow what she did, and seeking forgiveness. Nice move on Michael’s part, since that will probably make Willow feel guilty. Willow says, that’s what Carly was talking about in the chapel, and Carly says, she wanted to give Willow a little time. That’s why she didn’t tell Willow last night; she didn’t tell Michael either. Willow says she didn’t lose her mother last night. Harmony was never her mother in the first place. Wow. She got past denial quickly.

Dex says, Chet warned him that Sonny might tear the resumé up. He said Sonny plays by his own rules. Sonny says, Dex brought the resumé anyway, and Dex says, he’d rather be overprepared than show up lacking. Sonny says he likes Dex’s philosophy. If – and that’s a big if – he has room for Dex in one of his businesses, he needs to know Dex can take orders and follow them. No going rogue, and never think he knows better than Sonny. Are they clear? Dex says, crystal. He just needs a chance to prove himself. Sonny asks what Dex thinks they’re doing. He knows Dex is tough; Dex already proved that this morning. But tough can only get you so far. Smart is the better way.

Brando asks if Sasha is okay, and TJ says, the CT didn’t show any serious injury, but here’s no need for Sasha to live with residual pain. He recommended a painkiller. Sasha says, over the counter, not habit forming, and Brando thanks TJ. TJ says, anytime, and Sasha says she’d love to freshen up before she goes to work as the Face of Deception. She thanks TJ, and he leaves. Brando says, pick her up later? and she says, of course (🍷). He leaves, and she dumps her bag out on the counter. The photographer walks in, and she asks what the hell he’s doing here. He says he saw her doctor and husband leave, and thought he should check up on her. Missing something? He knows just how she feels.

Valentin says he didn’t think Sasha was capable of taking a bad picture, and Gladys says, it’s not Sasha. It’s the paparazzo who wouldn’t leave her alone. He asks how she got her hands on his photos, and she says, how does he think? He says, these were taken last night; he assumes before Harmony got hit with Sasha’s car. Gladys says, it was an accident, and he says he knows that, and she knows that, but in the wrong hands, these photos tell a decidedly different story. He shows her the photo where Sasha is picking up her pills.

Jordan says she thought Curtis made peace with Marshall’s past, but he says, easier said than done. After she refused to dig up his father’s sealed arrest records… She says she gave him a good reason for that, and he says, he understood. He wasn’t happy about it, but he realized he was putting her in an impossible situation. She says, so he found someone else to help, and he says, certain information came his way. She asks, what kind? and he says, the kind she wouldn’t release to him. She asks how he managed that when she said no.

Scotty says, Nina’s case will be decided in court, not on the pages of The Invader. So he suggests she chill out and get herself a manicure. She says, the byline belongs to Grant Smoltz, and he’s painting her to be this vengeful homewrecking vixen out to get Wiley’s other grandmother, Saint Carly. He says, there’s nothing he can do about Schmaltz and his slander, because everything he said was public record. She asks if he doesn’t think the judge is going to read that, and deny her petition for visitation. Out of the two grandmothers, who does Scotty think the judge is going to have more sympathy for? He says, there are two grandmothers involved, and one just died. Compared to Harmony, Nina is Mother Teresa. She asks what he’s thinking, and he says, Harmony Miller is the suspect in two murders. She just assaulted Carly and Alexis, and she’s dead. He’s sure Willow is all over the map right now, and so is Michael. Nina says, and…? and Scotty says, they go to Michael and Willow’s barracuda lawyer, and say it will behoove them to drop this whole Invader thing; they go to court, and let the judge decide whose behavior is better, Nina’s or a double murderer’s. Diane has walked in, and says, nice try, but on behalf of her clients, they’ll see them in court.

Willow says, it makes a scary kind of sense; it explains so much. Harmony isn’t her biological mother. Is that why Harmony couldn’t find her birth certificate; there’s no official record? Dante says, according to Alexis, that birth certificate never did exist. The one Willow got from Harmony was forged. Carly says, when Willow was a baby, Harmony took her from someone else, and claimed Willow as her own. Willow says, she was kidnapped? Oh my God. What else doesn’t she know? Michael asks if she wants a break, but she says, they can’t stop now. Everything she ever thought about her childhood is a lie, and she has to know the truth.

Dex tells Sonny, he never went to college, but he served two tours. He’s seen combat, and can handle himself under pressure when everything’s on the line. Sonny says, he appreciates the ability to handle trouble, but doesn’t want his employees looking for trouble. Dex says he kept his nose clean at the gym, and only mixed it up when he had to, and Sonny says, Chet told him. Dex says, if you keep your cool, you don’t have to mix it up. If there’s no choice, he acts quickly, and makes sure he’s the last man standing. Sonny says he likes Dex’s attitude, but attitude will only get you so far. Sooner or later, you have to back it up.

Sasha says, get out, and the photographer asks if she’s going to scream for help, or scream for one of those pills she was going to pop before he took her picture? She says, those pills are for migraines, like the one he gave her when he wouldn’t leave her alone. He says, those capsules are distinctive, and they’re not for migraines. They’re not pillow mints either. She says, if he hadn’t chased after her, she… He says, she wouldn’t have turned Harmony Miller into roadkill? She says, he’s disgusting. She hadn’t taken anything. He says, only because he surprised her. Far be it for him to spoil the Face of Deception. He just wants his memory card. Those pictures are his bread and butter. She says, hers too, and he says, then he’ll delete the ones he has of her and the pills. He’ll even forget what he saw. She asks how she’s supposed to believe him, and he says, believe this. He has connections. He can get what she needs. He sends her his number, and tells her to give him a call; sooner rather than later. It’ll be their little secret.

Gladys closes the laptop, and tells Valentin, her daughter-in-law is grieving the loss of her baby. The doctor prescribed some medication to help her cope. He says she has his sympathies. The loss of her child is tragic, but Sasha has a public history of drug abuse, covered on Good Morning America no less. A photo with her and medication would cause red flags. She’s his business partner, the face of the company, and the brand ambassador, so she represents a huge part of his investment. Gladys says she couldn’t trust Sasha more if she were her own flesh and blood daughter. Now if he’ll excuse her… She goes to another table.

Jordan asks how Curtis got his hands on his father’s sealed arrest record, but then says, never mind. She won’t force him to tell her the truth, or compel him to lie; both are bad. He says she seems to care more about how he found out than what he found out, and she says, dammit. She cares about him.

Nina asks Diane to just listen, but Scotty tells her, quiet. He tells Diane, he knows her BFF’s roommate just died under mysterious circumstances… Diane says she thinks he means Alexis’s houseguest, not roommate, Harmony Miller. He says, aka Willow Tate’s mommy. If they want to play hardball, he’ll make sure the judge knows that one of the grandmas is a murderer. Diane tells him, knock himself out. Harmony Miller wasn’t biologically related to Wiley, therefore has no standing; therefore it’s a non-starter. She’s a little surprised at how fuzzy he is as counselor for the petitioner on this particular legal question. The only reason his client has any standing to bring a petition is because the biological grandmother, and the biological mother, convicted kidnapper and murderer Nelle Benson, is dead. But her clients are well within their rights to argue against the petition. And if Nina cares about this little boy like she says she does, she’ll drop the claim before The Invader article goes national.

Willow says, Carly was with her mother just before she died. Did Harmony tell her why she lied about Willow being her child? Carly flashes back to Harmony asking her to protect Willow because Nina’s love will smother her, and her promising Harmony that Willow will be okay. Willow says, please. Her whole life just became one big question mark. Did her mom… Did Harmony tell her anything?

Dex says he wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t ready to prove Sonny can trust him. Sonny says, Dex’s service is impressive, and he saw what Dex could do at the gym, but there are other factors he needs to consider. Dex says, if Sonny hires him, Sonny will what he brings. There’s a knock at the door, and Frank lets Brando in. Brando says, Sonny is having a meeting; he’ll wait outside. Sonny says, the meeting is over, and introduces Brando to Dex. He tells Frank that Dex is going to have an espresso at the bar; he’s going to wait. Dex thanks Sonny, saying he appreciates Sonny’s time. He leaves, and Sonny tells Brando, close the door. He says he heard about the accident; how’s Sasha? Brando says, emotionally, she’s fine, but emotionally, she just… She just began to deal with losing Liam and then this happened. Sonny says, it’s tough, but Brando’s helping her cope, right? Brando says he’s trying. Sasha thinks she has to be strong for him, and he can’t get through her defenses. That’s why he’s here. He hopes Sonny knows what to do.

Sasha joins Gladys, and says she thought they were going to meet at the office. It’s a little early for happy hour; they’re still on the clock. She sees the memory card in Gladys’s hand, and says, she still has it. Gladys says she was thinking of flushing it down the toilet. Sasha flashes back to flushing her pills down the toilet, and says, don’t. Gladys says, why not? and Sasha says, because the jerk wants it back. Gladys says she bets he does. Give her one good reason to say yes.

Jordan says, she cares about Curtis, but it’s not like she has feelings for him that way, like she did when they were married. She loves him, but… feel free to help her out of the hole she’s digging here. He says he gets it. She doesn’t want him to get so caught up in Marshall’s past that he crosses the line. She says, if it happened, she wouldn’t be able to look the other way, and he says he wouldn’t ask her to. She says, as long as they’re clear, and he says, they are. She asks if it was worth whatever price he paid to find out what he wanted to know about Marshall, when TJ comes along, and says, Marshall? What about him?  

Nina tells Diane that she’s only doing this because she cares about Wiley. She’s not going to allow Wiley’s parents to deprive him of someone who loves him, and who he loves, especially now that Harmony is gone. Scotty says he’ll put it simply. If they go ahead with Smoltz’s hatchet job, it’s open season on Harmony. Diane says, and make Willow yet another innocent victim of Harmony? By all means, be her guest. Nina says, Willow is hardly an innocent victim. She refuses to stand up to Michael over and over again, and would cut Nina out of Wiley’s life without batting an eyelash. Diane says, perhaps Nina’s attorney neglected to tell her this – no surprise – but Michael and Willow are Wiley’s parents, and it’s their legal obligation, not to mention their moral and sacred duty to do what’s in the best interest for that child; while Nina has a documented and provable history of emotional and mental instability. If she’d like to avoid further embarrassment and public humiliation, withdraw that claim. Nina says, let her make this perfectly clear. If Michael and Willow insist on dragging her through the mud, she’ll return the favor, and drag them right along with her.  

Willow asks if there’s something her mom told Carly before she died; something she should know. Carly says, she thinks Dante’s right. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered. Dante says he’d like Willow to take a DNA  test; that way, they can rule out any blood relation to Harmony. Michael says, that makes sense, but Willow’s been through the wringer. Can’t it wait for a while? Dante says, it can, but if they want answers, the sooner Willow takes it, the better. Willow says, Michael is right. She needs time to digest everything she’s learned. Dante says he’ll check in tomorrow. He’s sorry to be the bearer of bad news. He leaves, and Carly says she’s going to take off too. Michael asks if she’s going to be okay, and she hugs him, saying, yeah. It’s been a crazy day. Stay strong for Willow. She hugs Willow, and says, the answers will come when she’s ready. She told Harmony that she would protect Willow, and she will. She leaves, and Willow wonders, protect her from what?

Dex tells Frank that he recognizes Brando from the gym. He’s Mr. Corinthos’s nephew? Frank says, cousin, and Dex says, Mr. Corinthos is famous for his coffee and his loyalty. He admires both.

Brando apologizes for imposing, but Sonny says, Brando can always come to him. Lesson number one. He’s family, and his troubles are Sonny’s troubles. Brando says, and vice versa. What’s lesson number two? Sonny says, when you love someone, don’t wait for them to come to you. Sasha’s in pain. Let her know he’s not scared; he’s not looking for a way out. Brando says, you take the good and the bad, just like he said in his marriage vows, and Sonny says, absolutely. Putting her first, Brando can’t go wrong. She’s going to say she’s okay, and Brando has to trust that and respect her, but if there are any warning signs, do not ignore that. Brando says, he’ll make sure Sasha knows that if she falls, he’ll catch her. Sonny says, if he does that, he can’t go wrong.

Sasha tells Gladys, the memory card has all the photographer’s photos on it, not just hers. Maybe if they give it back, he’ll leave them alone. Gladys says, as long as she has this card in her hand, they’re in the driver’s seat… pardon the expression. Gladys glances at Valentin, and says, Sasha makes her son happy, and what makes him happy, makes her happy. So if there’s something else interfering with Brando’s happiness, Gladys will protect her. Which means Sasha can trust her with anything. I’m wondering why they don’t just erase the incriminating photos and give the card back. Duh.

Jordan hugs TJ, and says, as much as she’d love to stay and chat, his uncle has something he wants to talk to him about. When was the last time he slept? He looks tired. He says he was all set to go home, Britt okayed it, and they got slammed, so he stayed. She says she admires his dedication, but don’t forget to take care of himself. He tells her that Britt just said the same thing, and Molly is board, and she says she needs to get back to her own job. She hugs him again, and leaves, and TJ asks what Curtis was saying about Marshall. Curtis says he ran into Jordan by accident, but he wanted to talk to TJ about his grandfather. TJ says, Curtis saved him a trip. There’s something he wants to show him.  

Jordan waits for the elevator, when Dante comes out. He says he just came from seeing Willow. He tried to break the news to her gently. Jordan asks if she agreed to give him a DNA sample to prove she’s not Harmony’s biological daughter, and he says, no; he got pushback from Michael. She says she doesn’t blame him. Willow needs time to grieve and process. Maybe they’ll be more open to it tomorrow. In the meantime, she has a more pressing job for him. He asks, what’s more pressing than proving Harmony wasn’t Willow’s biological mother? and she says, finding out who was.

Scotty says, he’s sure it’s not going to come down to mutually shared destruction, will it? but Diane says, if Nina wants to fight to the bitter end, so be it. She’ll find a new salon. Nina says, wait. Wiley needs all of his family, now more than ever. She understands Willow’s whole world was shattered, but don’t punish that little boy because of Willow’s pain. Diane says, Nina seems to think depriving Wiley of her presence would be a punishment; the court may not agree. She leaves, and Scotty tells Nina not to let Diane get to her. Nina says, he’s right. She’s the barracuda, but whatever Michael is paying her to drive Nina out of Wiley’s life, he’s wasting his money. Scotty says, it sounds to him like it’s all-out war, and she says, it is. He says, good. Then she’s changed her mind. She says, about what? and he says, Sonny. She’s got to let him put Sonny on the stand.  

Michael says, it sounds like Harmony wanted his mom to protect Willow from the truth about all the lines she crossed. Willow says, Harmony was probably delirious; most end-of-life patients are. She couldn’t prevent the truth from coming out. But now that she knows Harmony wasn’t her birth mother… Nanny Melanie comes in with Wiley, who runs to Willow. Melanie says, someone misses his mommy, and Willow says, not half as much as his mommy misses him.

On the phone with Martin, Valentin says he was hoping Drew would wait before showing an interest in ELQ. Martin’s girlfriend promised him her vote to support him as CEO, but her vote only counts as a tiebreak, so he’s afraid his days are numbered. Carly approaches, and says, bad news? and Valentin says, just business; nothing life threatening. He heard about Harmony Miller’s incident. He’s glad Carly wasn’t harmed. She thanks him, and he says he imagines Willow is badly shaken. She sits down, and asks why he would care about that.  He says, she was his daughter’s third grade teacher, and after a rocky start, Willow was actually good for Charlotte. Carly says, that doesn’t surprise her; Willow’s a wonderful person. He says, who is now grieving her mother, and facing a prolonged court battle with Nina, but it doesn’t have to be that way. She says, Nina got to him, and he says, imagine if they got their priorities straight. Carly could lead the way by making peace with Nina.

Brando asks if Sonny’s learned any more about the attempted robbery at Charlie’s, but Sonny says, that’s not Brando’s concern. Take care of Sasha, and he’ll take care of everything else. He glances at Dex.

Sasha thanks Gladys for looking out for her, but doesn’t she think returning the memory card would be a gesture of good faith? Maybe one day he’ll return the favor. She’s got to get back to work, and so should Gladys. Gladys says, after she finishes her drink, and Sasha leaves.

TJ comes back with the clarinet case, and Curtis says, isn’t that…? TJ says, Marshall’s? He knows. He opens it, and hands Curtis the note, saying, this is from him too. Curtis reads: I wanted to leave you a gift, but all I have to offer is this gift of music. Like you said about surgery, it’s part of one great unfinished symphony. Your loving grandfather. TJ asks if Curtis knows what it means, and Curtis says, it means TJ’s grandfather left town because of him.

Dante says, before he can find Willow’s birth mother, he needs to know more about Harmony, and Jordan tells him to start digging into Harmony’s background before she moved to Port Charles. Somewhere out there a mother’s missing her daughter.

Nina tells Scotty, nothing has change. Leave Sonny out of it, but Michael is fair game. He says, only Michael? and she says, and Willow. Willow has the keys to unlocking the door that’s blocking her access to her grandson. What is the saying? When someone looks too good to be true… He says, they’re usually not, and she says, there must be something about Willow that they can uncover. She wants him to keep digging until he finds it.

Carly asks Valentin, what is it about Nina that makes otherwise rational men come to her defense? He asks when the hurting stops. When do they stop attacking one another, and get on with their lives? She says, he should ask Nina that question. She kept Sonny from his family for nine months, and then she slept with him. Now she’s petitioning the court for visitation with Carly’s grandson. He says, Wiley is Nina’s grandson as well, and from her perspective, Carly cost her a daughter, so why don’t they just end this?

Wiley asks why Willow is crying. Does she have a boo-boo? Willow says, they’re happy tears, because she’s sitting here with him and his daddy, the two most important men in her life. Michael says he thinks Annabelle II misses Wiley, and suggests he go back to the house with Melanie, and he and mommy will meet him there soon. Wiley leaves with Melanie, and Willow says, Wiley is lucky. He’s young, and barely knew his Grandma Harmony. Whatever pain he feels at not seeing her will heal. Michael takes her hand, and says, and hers? She says she doesn’t know. She just keeps asking the same question. If Harmony isn’t her birth mother, who is?

On Monday, TJ asks Curtis if it was worth losing his father; Cameron tells Spencer that he needs to know the hell he’s been catching is worth it; Nina tells Ava, this time it’s on her orders; and Esme intends to be happy.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

On the phone, Nikolas leaves a message for Ava to call him. On another phone, Spencer says he gets it. Cameron’s girlfriend isn’t happy with him right now, but if he can ride out Joss and Trina hating him, then Cameron can too. Please, Spencer needs him to do this one favor. Esme walks in as he’s talking, and says, what favor is that?

At the gallery, Trina hears a noise, and gets her pepper spray out of her bag. She goes toward the entrance as Rory is coming in, and she says, oh, it’s you. He says, she can put that down now, and she agrees she can, but she doesn’t know if she should.

Portia says she was worried about Curtis. She couldn’t reach him all day. He apologizes for being radio silent, and she wonders if he’s going to tell her that Marshall left town, and he went after him. He nods, and she asks if he found Marshall. He says, he found Marshall; then he lost him again.

Dante meets Willow and Michael in the MetroCourt Garden, since it’s replaced the pool as the hot new set. He says he’s sorry Sam can’t make it. Something came up, and she sends her regrets. Michael asks if everything is good, and Dante says he thinks so. Sam encouraged him to come, so he’s sure it’s nothing too serious.

In the ER, TJ checks Alexis’s vision, and Sam runs in. She asks, what happened? and Alexis says, she and Carly barely escaped with their lives. Girls night out. Sam asks TJ what she’s talking about; is she okay? TJ says, she’s not exaggerating. She and Carly were attacked. Sam asks, by who? and Alexis says, by someone she thought was her friend.

Jordan is in another cubicle with Carly, and Amy tells Carly that the attending wants to monitor her; try to get some rest. As soon as she’s gone, Carly takes off the oxygen mask, and says, she knows Jordan has questions for her, but they’ve got to find Harmony before she goes after Willow and Wiley. Jordan asks why she thinks Harmony is a danger to her own daughter and grandson, and Carly says, Harmony had some kind of psychotic break. She’s desperate to keep the secret that Willow is not her daughter.

Sasha kneels by Harmony, and the photographer says, how’s this for a headline – Supermodel Speedster Slays. She says, can’t he see? This woman is barely breathing. She needs an ambulance right now. On the phone, Gladys says she doesn’t know the exact location, and Sasha says she can’t focus. She tells the photographer to help Gladys, and he takes the phone, while Gladys goes to help Sasha. Sasha says, help her turn Harmony over, but Gladys isn’t sure they should. Sasha says, this lady is barely breathing; she needs CPR right now. On three, she wants Gladys to turn Harmony toward her. One… two… three. They turn her over, and Gladys says, she thought it was a deer, but it was a person. Sasha sees it’s Harmony, all bloody, and she’s shocked.

Alexis tells Sam, she took off on foot. She could be anywhere.

Carly tells Jordan that she found a piece of paper in a file. They were notes from a therapy session, and mentioned Harmony by name. Something about Harmony feeling guilty for taking a child that wasn’t her own. Jordan says, these were Neil Byrne’s notes? and Carly says, when she went to the fireplace, because Harmony was burning some papers, the heading on the paper said, Dr. Neil Byrne, Psychiatrist, and that’s when Harmony came after her with a needle. Jordan says, this could explain why Brendon Byrne was found dead in the water by the pier, and Carly says, all she knows is, when she woke up in her SUV, she could hear Harmony and Alexis arguing. Harmony was threatening Alexis. She went after Alexis, but then Carly tackled her to the ground. The moment Harmony heard Alexis get through to 9-1-1, she took off. Jordan says, this was all because of Neil Byrne’s file. What was so compelling that Harmony would commit multiple homicides to keep it quiet?

Willow says, she’s sorry Sam’s missing out, but she won’t complain about having two handsome dinner companions. Dante wonders if he won’t be the third wheel. Don’t they want a rare night out? Willow says, they manage get out when they can, and asks what Dante’s been up to. Dante says, working. He was just at the gym; Sonny was there. He heard Sonny and Michael had a dust up. Willow says, excuse her. She’s going to call the nanny and check on Wiley. She leaves, and Dante says, that was very tactfully done. Michael asks what their father had to say, and Dante says, he heard Sonny’s side; he was hoping to hear Michael’s. Michael says, it’s between dad and him. It’s best Dante stays out of it.

Curtis tells Portia that he’s sorry about today. He’s in a negative headspace. He had a confrontation with Marshall, and of course (🍷) it didn’t go very well. She asks how this confrontation was any different than the others he had with Marshall, and he says, this time, he had knowledge. He discovered some secrets Marshall’s been keeping from him. She asks how he came across this knowledge, and he says he did some digging. She says, and Marshall was upset about the invasion of his privacy, and Curtis says, so much so, he packed his bags and left town. She says she sees. And what does he think upset Marshall more, that Curtis unearthed his secrets, or that he used Drew to do it?

Rory says he didn’t mean to scare Trina. He noticed she hadn’t locked the door. She says she meant to; she just got caught up with work. He says, she should be more careful. Commissioner Ashford told him to keep watch. She said there’s been some trouble with the press? Although he doesn’t recommend pepper spraying a reporter. Can she put that away now? She says, sorry, and puts it back in her bag. He says, close call. Looks like she has good aim. She says, she does. Her dad is an ex-cop. He says he’s sure he taught her the importance of handling weapons safely, and she says, trust her, she knows. He says, good. He’d hate to have to take her in. She says, like he did with Cam and Spencer? Overreact much? He says, she’s still mad that he detained her friends, but she says, friend. Cam is her friend. He says, and Cassadine isn’t?

Spencer tells Cameron, he’s glad they understand one another, and ends the call. Esme asks, who was that? and he says, Cameron. She says, Cam’s doing him a favor? and he says, if he knows what’s good for him. He told Cam that he needs to watch what he says about Esme in the future, or things might get physical again. She says, he and Cam got into a fight? and he says, they were dragged down to the PCPD, but now Cam knows that he’s not going to tolerate him badmouthing her anymore. She says, he did that for her? He has to be careful. He can’t get arrested again. He says, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for her, and tells her that he has to get going. She asks, where? and he says, the gallery, so he can get started on the many menial tasks Ava’s assigned to him. If he goes after hours, he can avoid Ava and Trina. She says she appreciates that. He kisses her on the cheek, says, it always has been us against the world, and leaves.

Nikolas’s phone dings, and the message from Ava says: Plans tonight. Don’t wait up. He throws the phone across the room, when Esme walks in. She says, something on his mind? He says, this is a waste. All that effort, Ava isn’t even taking his calls. He flips over the table set for his and Ava’s dinner, sending everything flying. Esme says, it was a beautiful table. She’s sorry about Ava, and for her part in ruining his plans. He says, it’s not her fault, but she says, Ava isn’t here because Ava resents the fact she is. She starts to pick things up, but he tells her, leave it; he’ll have someone clean it. She says, Ava even put their vow renewal on hold, and he says, no one’s forced her to make those choices. She says, it’s so obvious how he worships his wife. She can’t understand how Ava doesn’t appreciate that. She sees what kind of partner he is, and she wants that kind of passion and loyalty in her life. She takes his hand, and says, he doesn’t deserve to be stuck in this house without the love he so desperately needs. Laura walks in, and says, she comes bearing glad tidings. Nobody has to be stuck. Esme doesn’t have to hide out anymore.

Trina says, she asked Rory not to arrest Cam, if he recalls. Now if he’ll excuse her, she has work to do. She’ll lock up when he goes. He says he wasn’t trying to be a jerk. Commissioner Ashford is really pushing for everything to be by the book. She says, nothing wrong with being disciplined; she can relate. He says, and so she knows, both guys got off with a warning. She says she supposes he’s just doing his job, possibly taking it too seriously, and he says, since she cut him some slack, he wouldn’t turn down something to drink while he keeps watch in his patrol car. She says, Officer Invisible did give her a soda once. She guesses she can return the favor. He says, actually Cabrera, but she can call him Rory, if she ever needs to call him.

Curtis says, Drew told Portia about their plan? and she says, he told her the basics. He said he set up an interview with Marshall so they could do a background check. Curtis says, Marshall was upset by all the subterfuge. He was even more upset that Curtis ignored his wishes to stop searching. She asks, then why did he do it? and he says, he did it for her and Trina; for Aunt Stella and TJ, and everyone he loves. They had to find out what Marshall was hiding. And he doesn’t regret doing it, because what he found out was eye-popping. The man was never in the Witness Protection Program, and no link to organized crime. In fact, his arrest was because of a protest rally decades ago. She doesn’t understand why he would hide that, and Curtis says, he’s guessing, pride. He was embarrassed he never did jail time. Instead, he was sent to a mental institution. He was going to tell her; he just wanted to confront the man first. She says, Curtis doesn’t owe her that information, but she’s wondering why he didn’t share with her how he acquired it. Subterfuge, digging; her perspective could have helped him with this. And she thought they were in this together, but he didn’t trust her with any of it?

Michael says, he doesn’t recognize their father anymore; does Dante? Dante says, of course (🍷) he does. He’s going through some changes. Michael says, changes that directly affect his mother and son. His mother can take care of herself, but Wiley can’t. That means he has to put his relationship with Sonny behind him. Dante asks, for how long? when Willow comes back, and says, Wiley’s just fine. Dante’s phone rings, and he says, now it’s his turn to be excused. He steps away, and Willow asks if everything is okay. Michael says, Dante didn’t try to talk him out of his positions, and she says, relationships with parents are tricky. She needs to check in with her mom about her drinking last night. It’s not like her. Dante comes back, and says, he just got called to the scene of an accident; he has to jet. Willow says, eventful night, and Dante says, it appears so. He tells Michael, whatever happens with him and Sonny, they’re brothers, always. Michael says, always, and Dante says, raincheck on the dinner? Michael says, sounds good. Next time, bring Sam. Dante says, of course (🍷). No more third wheel for them.

Sam says, Alexis couldn’t have known how deep Harmony’s lies went, or what she was actually capable of. Alexis says, she didn’t; not even close. She killed Neil, then became Alexis’s friend, and tried to kill her.

Carly says, Harmony stole a baby. That’s pretty shocking. Jordan asks if it’s sufficient motive to try to kill Carly and Alexis, kill Neil Byrne, and his brother. Was it all to avoid going back to prison, or is there more to the story? Carly flashes back to confronting Harmony about saying owed Nina, and Harmony saying that she misspoke. Carly says she’s not sure, and Jordan says, try her. Carly says she thinks Brendon knew Harmony killed his brother, and Jordan says, then why not come to the police? Especially when he had damning evidence in her file? Carly says, apparently, he was trying to shake Harmony down, and Jordan says, but why go to such extreme lengths? And what was in that file? What else does Carly know?

Sasha does CPR, and Gladys asks, if she dies, are they going to get in trouble? Harmony takes a breath, and Sasha says, she’s back. She tells Harmony, hold on; help is coming. The photographer starts taking pictures, since he learned nothing from Princess Diana’s death, and tells Sasha, look at him.

Jordan wonders if there was anything, any indication why Harmony would kill two people, and try to kill two more, and Carly doesn’t know what Jordan wants her to say, What she does know is, Willow is going to be devastated, and she’s worried about Willow’s safety. Michael and Wiley too, which is why she has to let them know what’s going on. Jordan says, it’s being handled. Everyone has to remain calm, including Carly. So sit tight; got it? Carly nods, and Jordan’s phone rings. She leaves to take the call, and Carly says, you bet I’ll sit tight, and starts to gather up her stuff.

Sam wonders if Alexis needs more medical attention, but Alexis says, she heard TJ. No concussion. She’s fine… at least physically. Sam says she’s so sorry Harmony did this to her; she let that woman into her home. Alexis says she’s realizing Harmony wasn’t just the cause of one bad night, but many.

The photographer snaps photos all around the gurney the paramedics have Harmony on. One of them says, dude, seriously, what are you doing? The photographer goes over to Sasha and Gladys, and says, there’s two ways this thing can play out. He can sell these pictures with Sasha being the heroine who saved the day, or she can stand in his way, and the story is, she caused this tragedy. Gladys tells her to go with the first one. He’s going to sell something. The bad press will make Deception’s stock go down. Is that what she wants? The photographer says, it benefits them both, and he wants his memory card returned. The paramedics bring Harmony through, and one tells Sasha, nice job keeping her alive, and the photographer says, isn’t she great? They go to the ambulance, and the photographer says, his memory card, holding out his hand. Sasha says she doesn’t think so, and starts to walk away. He says, okay, the Face of Collision it is. She asks why he doesn’t leave her alone, and he says, the whole world will see she’s flaming out after she lost her kid. Wow. He’s extra stupid, since I doubt the public would be on his side. Sasha goes after him and Gladys pulls her back. Dante arrives, and gets in the middle, saying, stop.

Portia says, she doubts Curtis would have gotten Drew involved unless she had serious concerns, but she wishes he would have trusted her. He says he does trust her, but ever since they moved in together, he’s been concerned about Marshall’s past showing up on their doorstep. And leaving Trina alone with him when Aunt Stella had her panic attack didn’t help matters. She says, Trina seemed perfectly safe with Marshall, and he says he’s not saying Marshall’s the danger. He’s worried about Marshall’s past, and had to get answers. She asks how he went about it. Didn’t Marshall’s background check come back clean? He says, Marshall had a sealed arrest record. He told Curtis that himself. She says she knows Marshall didn’t tell him the contents of that record. How’d he go about finding out?

Laura sees the mess, and asks, what happened here? Nikolas says, a momentary lapse. What’s this great news? She says she had a conversation with Sonny, and he assured her, Esme has nothing to fear. He gave her his word, and his word is his bond. So they can all resume their normal lives. Perhaps Esme can move out now. Nickolas says, let’s not be too hasty.

Rory is looking at a painting, when Trina comes back. She says, sorry, this is all they have, handing Rory a bottle of Pellegrino. She asks if he likes the painting, but he says he’s not sure. He doesn’t know anything about art. He’s walked past the Chuck museum a thousand times, but never set foot inside. She says, that’s sad; he’s definitely missing out. He says he really likes the front steps. It’s a great place to eat his lunch. She says, trust her. What’s inside is a million times better. He says, even if he has no idea what he’s looking at? and she says, the thing about art is it’s subjective. How does this painting make him feel? Spencer quietly comes in, and Rory says, hopeful? Trina asks, why hopeful? and Rory says she’s putting him on the spot. Something about the mixture of dark and light. She says, she can see that, and Spencer says, that’s called contrast. Rory should ask Trina to educate him about chiaroscuro, the treatment of light and shade. Trina says, he is the expert on all things shady. Why is he here?

Portia says she knows a former investigator has all kinds of sources, and she’s not asking Curtis to reveal them, but getting access to a sealed police record… He says, she doesn’t approve, and she says, she’s not judging him; she’s concerned. He says, about Marshall or his relationship with Marshall? and she says, of course (🍷) she hopes Marshall is okay. She’s sensitive to him wanting to keep his mental health issues private. As far ask their father/son relationship, she’s with Curtis. She supports what he wants. He asks, then why is she upset? and she says she doesn’t want to lose him.

Rory says, if it isn’t the mayor’s grandson. What brings Spencer here? Spencer says, work. He’s here to start his restitution, and since Trina is no longer supervising him, he figured he could make his own hours. Rory says, he bets. Spencer seems to like making up his own rules. Spencer says, if it’s a bad time, he can leave, but Trina says she’ll go. She just needs to finish. Rory says he’ll be in the car, thanks Trina for the water, and leaves, and my God is his belt LOUD. Spencer asks why Trina is hanging out with Rory, and Trina says, not that it’s any of his business, but Commissioner Ashford assigned him to her for her protection. He says, like a bodyguard, and she asks why Rory made that comment about him being the mayor’s grandson. He says, so they’re on a first name basis now, and she says, he used his grandmother’s position to avoid charges. He says, Rory would have found out anyway, and she says, he doesn’t think twice, does he? He just throws money and influence, or both, and expects things to go his way. She thought he’d grow out of it, but she was wrong all along. He’s still the same entitled brat she had the bad luck of meeting months ago.

Nikolas tells Laura, Spencer and Esme can’t support themselves, and Esme says she still doesn’t have access to her trust fund, and Spence is making nothing at the gallery. Laura says she’s sure Spencer could go back to working at Kelly’s, but Esme says, Spencer and Cameron had a… disagreement. Laura says, she’s aware. She was Spencer’s first call from Jail. Esme says she should probably go talk to Spence; tell him the good news. She fakes being happy, and thanks Laura, hugging her. Laura says she’s so welcome, and Esme leaves. Nikolas says he appreciates Laura coming and delivering the news in person, and she says, not a minute too soon it seems.

Dante asks, what happened? What’s going on? The photographer says, he’s bleeding and Sasha is insane. Sasha says, he’s insane, calling him a bloodsucker, and Gladys says, not another word without an attorney present. She’s calling Brando. She tells Dante, Sasha’s not saying another word, so save his breath. The photographer says he needs medical attention, and Dante says he can drive himself to GH. Just don’t leave the hospital before Dante gets his statement. He says, Dante is going to get his statement all right, and Dante says, get out of here. He leaves, and Dante asks if Sasha is okay, but she says, no. How’s Harmony? He says, too soon to tell. What happened here? She says, that horrible man was chasing them, and he asks, was he trying to get photos? Sasha says, she was trying to get away from him. She was driving… He stops her, and reminds her that she does have a right to counsel, but he needs to know what happened with Harmony. How did she get hurt? Sasha says, she ran out into the road right in front of her car. She couldn’t swerve. My God. What if she doesn’t make it? Gladys comes back, and says, that’s enough for now. Can’t Dante see she’s upset? He says he’s going, but Sasha should get to GH; she could be in shock. They can come to the station in the morning to give their statements. Gladys tells Sasha, let’s go, and leads her away. Dante sees something on the ground covered in blood. The memory card?

Michael says, some date night, huh? and Willow says, it started off weird. Sam couldn’t make it, and Dante got called away. It’s not his fault. He says he’s been in a funk since Dante brought up his dad, and she says, having a parent out of your life is not easy, but it doesn’t have to be forever. Look at her and her mom. He says, enough gloomy talk. Like Dante said, it’s a rare night out. Let’s make the best of it. She asks if he has anything particular in mind, and he says he has a few things in mind. They kiss, and his phone rings. He says, of course (🍷). It’s Carly, who asks if Willow is with him, and he says, they just sat down to dinner. Is everything okay? She says, everything is not okay. It’s not about Wiley, but she needs him and Willow to come to the ER right now. She’ll tell him everything when they get here. He says, they’re on their way, and Willow asks, what is it?

Carly asks if Alexis is okay, and Alexis says, she’s fine thanks to Carly. Carly saved her life. What about her? Carly thanks Alexis, saying, if Alexis hadn’t shown up when she did… Sam comes out, and says, Spinelli’s trying to get a location on Harmony’s phone, and Alexis says, Harmony sure as hell won’t be calling her. Her reporter was at the PCPD, and said they have no information yet, but hopefully, they’ll find Harmony, and this will all be over soon. Amy tells Alexis that her discharge papers are ready, and they’re working on Carly’s. Harmony is brought in on a gurney, and the paramedic says she was in full arrest on scene, and a bystander performed CPR. She has multiple head injuries and probably head trauma. Amy says, that’s Willow’s mother, and TJ says a bunch of medical stuff. I laugh, wondering if he even knows what he’s saying.

Gladys says she agrees with Dante that Sasha should be checked out at GH. Brando’s very worried about her. Sasha tells Gladys, just say it. Gladys says, Harmony came out of nowhere. There’s no way Sasha could have avoided her. She lowers her voice to a whisper, and says, the fact is, Sasha was speeding. What’s on that memory card that’s got her so bent? Sasha flashes back to the photographer taking photos of her taking a pill, and she says she’s so sick of being treated like an animal on exhibit. Since she lost Liam, her grief has been judged and analyzed, and she can’t take it. Gladys says she gets it. Don’t worry. The memory card is safe in her purse. Sasha asks if she can have it, and Gladys says, of course (🍷), but she wants to get Sasha to the hospital first. Sasha says she hopes Willow is there. She owes Willow an explanation.

Alexis asks what Jordan found out. Does she know what happened to Harmony? Jordan says, apparently, she was struck in a single vehicle collision, and Sam says, Harmony was able to commandeer a getaway car and crashed it? Willow and Michael come in, and Willow asks if this is about her mom. Where is she? What happened? Jordan suggests they have a seat, but Willow says, tell her what’s going on with her mother. Is she okay? Jordan says, her mother was struck by a car earlier tonight, and Willow says she wants to see her, but Jordan says, they’re stabilizing her now. Carly tells Willow that they’ll do everything they can for her mom, and Willow says, she doesn’t understand. Did her mom drive off the road? Michael ask how Carly found out, and what happened to her face? Carly says, they’ll talk about it later, and Willow asks if Carly knows what’s happening here?

Curtis says he’s not going nowhere, but Portia says, he can’t promise that, not if he’s using questionable methods; he’s keeping her at bay. She went through this whole thing with Taggert. She’s not doing it again. He says, he did what he did to protect what they have, and she says, did what exactly? There’s no way he got that sealed report from a legitimate source. He says he doesn’t want to jeopardize what they’re building, and she says she’s glad to hear it. She knows his past is important to him, but he needs to promise, from this point forward, to put their future first.

Laura says, she seems to have walked in on a sort of close moment between Nikolas and Esme. He indicates the mess, and says, he was upset because Ava wasn’t available for a surprise dinner he’d arranged. He didn’t realize Ava had other plans. Esme blamed herself, and he was consoling her. This makes me cringe, and Laura says, seems to her, he should be consoling his wife. He says, now that Esme won’t be around as much, hopefully, things will improve, and Laura says, she’s worried about Spencer. He’s been fighting with his friends, and he’s becoming increasingly isolated. Soon it will just be Esme and Victor. Nikolas says, and him; they’re still growing closer. Laura puts her hand on his arm, and says, get Esme out of the house. She is the common denominator in all of these strained relationships. He says, Esme’s not perfect, but Laura is giving her too much power. Laura says, she’s manipulative. Can’t he see that? She sows chaos. He says, bottom line, Esme wants to be loved and needed. Once she and Spencer patch things up, and get back on track, Spencer can rebuild his life. Then he and Ava can rebuild theirs, and once that finally happens, they’ll come together as a family. She asks, when did he become an optimist? and he asks if it’s wrong to hope for a positive outcome. She says, not necessarily, but she thinks he’s being naïve. There is a scorpion under his roof. Get rid of her before she poisons all of them.

Spencer says, Trina can’t blame him for using his connections. Another arrest on his record, and he could go back to prison. Isn’t she doing all she can to keep from being incarcerated? She says she’s innocent… not that he believes her. He asks if she really regrets meeting him, and she says, how self-absorbed can you get? She’s facing trial, and a Title 9 investigation that could get her kicked out of school. Out of all the things she stands to lose, he’s the least important. He says, he knows he hurt her, but don’t try to hurt him, no matter how much he deserves it; it’s just not her style. She says, maybe he doesn’t know her after all. She was certainly wrong in thinking she knew him. He says, she does know him. She believes in him. At least she did. She says, he’s the only person who would try to make her feel guilty for his sick wack friendship. He says, that’s not what this is, and she says, yes it is. He’s playing all the hits, but she’s not listening. He abandoned her when she needed him the most. If he wants to work nights, she can work days. He tells her not to interrupt her schedule. He just needed to get out of the house. She says, issues with his dad? and he says, actually, they’re on better terms than they’ve been in a long time. She says, then what is he running from? His beloved Esme?  

Curtis says, there’s nothing more important than their future together, and Portia says, what about Marshall? Will Curtis look for him? He says, Marshall disappeared successfully for decades. He’s beginning to think Marshall doesn’t want to be found. She says, nobody knew to look for him then; now they do. She gets the feeling family means everything to Marshall. He says, then he and Marshall have that in common, because she and Trina are family too. Trina’s not his daughter, but he cares about her. He hopes Portia trusts that he’ll always do what’s best for both of them. She says she does, and he says, ethics and integrity mean a lot to both to them. Going forward, she’s never going to have to worry about that. He kisses her hand.

Nikolas tells Laura, there’s nothing more important to him than Ava and Spencer, and he believes his family will be intact when the dust settles. She says she admires his confidence and resolve. She just hopes he knows what he’s doing.

Spencer tells Trina, believe it or not, he misses going to Kelly’s. He used to feel useful there. He hated the job at first, but started to appreciate how feeling productive can improve his state of mind. She says, then go back, especially if he’s taking nights here. He says, Joss and Cameron won’t want him rehired, and she says, Joss maybe, but Joss is just protecting her, and she doesn’t mind. She gets how it would be important to him. He says, she always does, and she says, but not how Esme gets him, right? She’ll leave him a to-do list, so he can go home to his phony twisted witch who’s the love of his life. He says, Esme is anything but that, and Esme overhears just as she’s about to walk in.

Dante thanks the photographer for his statement, and he says, what about his memory card? The mother-in-law stole it from him, and Sasha attacked him when he asked for it back. Dante looks at his hand, and says, yeah, it looks real life threatening. Bandaging his hand, Amy holds back her laughter, and Dante asks if he wants to press charges. The photographer says, yeah, that’ll show her, and Dante says, that’s cool; that’s his right. But it’s also Miss Gilmore’s right to counter-sue for assault and harassment. The photographer says, forget it, and Dante says, that’s what he thought. Oh, since there will probably be an investigation about illegal vehicular pursuit, do him a favor, and don’t go anywhere. Amy hands him something, and he says, thanks – she leaves – for nothing. He takes out his phone and calls Smoltz. He says, Smoltz will want to hit the ATM with what he’s got that Smoltz is going to want.

Willow asks if Carly was with her mom, and Carly says, not at the time of the accident. Alexis says, before, at Whatchamacallit Point. Willow asks, why? when Harmony is wheeled past. Willow asks TJ if she can talk to her, but he says, no time. Her mom’s injuries are critical. He’ll give her news as soon as he has some. He tells the orderly that they have to get Harmony to the OR now. Sasha and Gladys come in, and Willow wonders, who could have done this to her mom?

Tomorrow, Brando asks Sasha why the photographer was chasing her; Willow says she’ll never forgive herself for pushing Harmony away; Trina says, someone made their choice, so deal with it; and Ava asks Nikolas, please tell her that he’s not letting Esme stay.

At the PCPD, Brook asked Chase for another call. He said she only got one, but he was curious to see who would help her, since her father wouldn’t. Nelle went to Charlie’s, and Julian told her they were closed. She said she’d come to make him a generous offer from the heart. Diane met with Michael and Willow at the Quartermaine mansion, and made them repeat after her that they wouldn’t let Nelle bait them in court. She told them, let Nelle roll out her manipulation and histrionics while they remained calm. She knew Michael would be the loving, committed, stalwart presence he always was, but she’d seen Willow give way to anger at Shiloh in the courtroom. This would be just as bad, if not worse. Willow said she was ready, and Diane said Willow and Michael made an excellent team. They knew Wiley well, and Nelle was practically a stranger. Michael was worried that would support Nelle’s argument, but Diane said it was crucial Wiley stayed with people he loved and trusted. They’d already proven they would do whatever it took. Nelle told Julian, they had their differences, but they were both victims of Brad. Brad had left her unconscious by the side of the road, switching her baby with the one who died. Julian asked if she expected him to believe Brad could pull one over on her, and she said she wanted to offer him a spot in her son’s life. On one condition.

Brook’s call to Dustin went to voicemail, and Brook accused Chase of falsely arresting her because he didn’t like her calling him out for betraying his girlfriend. If he was decent, he’d let her go; she wasn’t a lying jerk like him. Chase remembered Willow discovering him and Sasha making out, and said Brook was right. She was right about him and everything, but she’d still broken the law. She needed to find someone to get her out, or she would spend the night in custody. Either way, he didn’t give a damn. Diane said no one had shown they were more willing to make sacrifices for Wiley than Willow, and it was documented that she’d put Wiley’s needs first. That was gold. Diane left, and Michael asked if she’d heard that – she was gold. Nelle told Julian that she wanted him to testify on her behalf at the custody hearing, and say she’s a wonderful mother. Julian asked if she wanted him to lie, but she said he’d be telling truth. Wiley would be better off with her than Michael, who wasn’t Julian’s favorite person anyway. Julian said she was the same mother who left Wiley’s father to die, but she said she was under stress. Michael had been threatening to take her kid, and her hormones were raging. He said he wasn’t helping her, but she told him that he would, if he wanted to stay in Wiley’s life. She’d even let Wiley call him grandpa again. Julian said Nelle wanted to barter time with Wiley for his personal endorsement, and she insisted it was a generous offer. When she got sole custody, Wiley was never going to see a Corinthos or Quartermaine again. Julian said he couldn’t imagine Sonny would be happy, and Nelle said, Sonny and Carly would suffer more. She and Julian were on the same page. Julian said they weren’t even in the same book. He cared what happened to Wiley, and thought Wiley was better off with his father than a heartless monster who used her son as a weapon.

Julian’s phone rang, and at first, he told the caller, absolutely not. Then he said, on second thought, he’d be right there. He told the bartender that he had to leave for a while, and not to serve Nelle. She was done there. After Julian left, Chase came in to think some more about Willow, but Nelle interrupted his reverie, saying he looked like he could use a drink and some company. He said, no thank you. Willow remembered finding Chase and Sasha together, and telling Chase, in a million years, she never thought something like this would happen. She thought he’d love her forever, but she didn’t know him. Michael told Willow, they could have a partnership that worked. Willow wanted to be up front, and said she still loved Chase; she probably always would. She wondered if Michael could marry a woman who would probably never be in love with him, and he said if they raised Wiley in a committed family, who loved and supported each other, it was all he could ask for. He warned her that she’d be marrying into two powerful families, with unique traditions, customs, and secrets. It was like joining a club you couldn’t resign from, and her life would be very different. Julian showed up at the PCPD, and paid Brook’s bail.

Michael said Willow may not love him romantically, but he valued their friendship. He flashed back to him and Willow becoming friends and helping take care of Wiley together. Michael said he could trust her, and rely on her honesty, and she said she relied on his integrity. Nelle wanted to buy Chase a drink, but he said he didn’t have time. She said she figured there was no hot teacher waiting for him at home, and maybe she’d give him another chance. One or both of them flashed back to when she’d seduced Chase in Florida, and Chase asked how she could be more delusional. He thought she would have hit the threshold by now. She said she always got what she wanted, whether it was Wiley or him, and anyone who underestimated her was wrong. He walked out, and Nelle went in the back, presumably where the restrooms are. Where the bartender went, who knows? Not a very reliable employee.

Finn called Chase, who was at Pier 55. He said, apparently, Chase hadn’t taken his advice, but Chase said he wasn’t in the mood for a lecture. Finn asked, how about a beer? and Chase told him, another time. Julian took Brook back to Charlie’s, and wondered why he’d been her first call. She said he wasn’t, but she got tired of reaching out and hearing, I told you so. He asked if that included Ted. She was puzzled, and he said that’s what he called her father. She should call him that too; he loved it. She said Ned was her first I told you so, and Julian asked why she thought he would get her out. She said because she had leverage, and he said it had been a good excuse to get out of a bad conversation. Chase stood on the pier and thought about meeting Willow, and how their relationship had developed, which is about all he seemed capable of doing at this point. This was around the time we were getting episodes made nearly entirely of flashbacks

Finn met Chase at the pier, and said he thought The Rib had more ambiance. Chase said it was perfect, and Finn said, sure it was. The smell of fish and… whatever it is. Chase said Willow was gone because he’d wanted her to go, and knowing it was right didn’t make it hurt any less. Finn said, believe him, he knew. Willow said she knew Michael would always be straight with her and treat her with respect. Michael said he loved everything about Wiley, but especially the way he smiled at Willow. He recalled introducing Wiley to Willow, and other times the three of them had been together. Chase apologized to Finn for being a jerk, and Finn said Willow probably thought it was a family trait. When he’d seen her, he thought Chase had told her the truth, and they talked at cross purposes. She probably thought he was okay with Chase cheating. Why hadn’t Chase told her it was staged? Chase said, it would have been selfish. It was about what was right for Willow and Michael, and especially Wiley. It would be worth it if Nelle didn’t get custody. Finn asked what he could do, and Chase said, not a damn thing. He toasted to Willow, the woman he would always love. He said he knew she couldn’t have been happy with him if Wiley was suffering or hurting, and this was how he showed his love. By drinking beer?

Brook told Julian, if he’d turned her down, she would have had to call his bluff and talk to Sonny. It would have broken Lucas’s heart, and he’d been through enough. They made a toast to Lucas, and Brook said if Julian accommodated the occasional favor, she wouldn’t have to say he’d tampered with Brad’s car and caused the accident. No surprise, Nelle listened in. On the pier, Chase reminisced about meeting Willow, saying he could tell there was something rare and strong about her. He told Finn, people must have thought he was trying to rescue her, but she didn’t need rescuing; she was fierce in her quiet way. It took her a long time to love him, but he was a goner in the first ten seconds. Part of him couldn’t believe they wouldn’t still have a lifetime together. He thanked Finn for respecting his decision, even if Finn didn’t agree with it. Finn said Chase was a well-intentioned idiot, but love had a way of making fools of all of them. Chase wanted to be alone, and Finn told him to call anytime.

Michael said Wiley loved Willow, and knew she loved him. It would still be a marriage based on love; their love as friends, and mutual love for Wiley. Willow thought about good times with Chase; saying I love you, and moving in together. Willow said it wasn’t the marriage she’d imagined, and Michael said, him neither, but he had faith they could make it work. If she didn’t want to, no harm no foul. Willow said Wiley deserved a safe and happy future with parents who loved and cared for him, and cared about each other. She wanted to be a part of it, so her answer was yes. She would marry him.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

When we last left, everyone was at Kyle’s Black and White Gala, and Teddi said Camille didn’t have to go through pleasantries with her. She knew Camille didn’t like her.

Sutton yaps at Kris Jenner about the Met Gala. Teddi says Camille isn’t genuine, and can just wave and keep it moving. In Camille’s interview, she says she was trying to apologize and be nice, and again Teddi is being a bitch. Camille says Denise was rough on her at the reunion; she felt like Denise was gaslighting her. We flash back to that, and Denise says she was genuinely concerned. Camille tells Denise that she was in a lot of pain, and tells Teddi, time heals. Denise says she’s more forgiving than Teddi, and Camille says, it’s okay; Teddi needs time. Garcelle tells Erika that she’s going to miss Erika’s Shoe Dazzle event because she has to work. Denise asks Teddi where she wants to go from here, and Teddi says she wants Denise to tell her if something is bothering her. In Teddi’s interview, she says she doesn’t have a problem with Denise, but she has a huge problem with Aaron. She has fun with Denise, and wants to move on.

Brandi calls out, Hurricane Kim! and Kyle’s sister comes over to say hello. Camille thanks Kyle for inviting her. In Camille’s interview, she says she came in wanting to resolve things. She’s gone through a lot with the women, but feels good, like she can move on. She doesn’t know about the others, but thinks at some point, they have to put the past in the past.

Denise says hello to Garcelle and new boyfriend chocolate Michael. In Garcelle’s interview, she says it’s important to support one another. She’s been in situations where she had to fend for herself against a group attack. But she was in middle school. Preach it!  In Kyle’s interview, she says, a charity event has to be fun and exciting, so people will come and want to spend money. When she was planning the event, the first person who came to mind was friend Carney Wilson. Kyle introduces Wilson Phillips, and they put on a mini concert. In Dorit’s interview, she says, a surprise concert; what a great idea. We go back to Dorit unveiling Boy George at her party. Everyone bounces to the music, and sings along to Hold On.

Denise, Aaron, Brandi, Adrienne, and whoever Adrienne is seeing, hang out at a small bar in Kyle’s house. Pounding back drinks, Brandi says she’s good, but in Denise’s interview, she says, tomorrow, Brandi won’t feel good. Brandi babbles about babies, and in Brandi’s interview, she says she had told everyone that Adrienne had used a surrogate, and Adrienne called her a liar. Still, Adrienne was always lovely to her, even though she’d never given Adrienne a proper apology. Brandi tells Adrienne that she’s sorry; it wasn’t her idea (of course not). For Adrienne to forgive her was something she needed. She didn’t know if could do the same if she was in Adrienne’s shoes. Kathy tells Kyle that the party couldn’t have been better. Brandi says she likes that Denise and Aaron are co-dependent-ish, and wants to be a throuple. In her interview, Denise asks the producer what throuple means. Brandi babbles about Denise’s vagina. In her interview, Denise says Aaron is giving her the let’s-get-TF-out-of-here look. Denise tells Aaron, time to head out, and he says he’s taking his drink with him. Brandi stumbles around the dance floor, and Kim says she needs coffee. In Kyle’s interview, she says, it’s no secret Brandi likes to party, but tonight, Brandi has taken hot mess to another level. Brandi she gets up on the stage, and promptly falls down.

Garcelle struggles to open a box of glassware. She asks Michael for help, and he slides the box open. She says he makes it look easy, and all the glasses fall out. opens box looks easy everything falls out. I make a noise. Dorit talks to her contractor, while Jagger and Phoenix cause a commotion, LisaR picks out a wig, and tells her makeup guy that she wants to transform into a sex bomb. She thinks she was born a drag queen. Erika makes sure everything is ready for her Shoe Dazzle launch party, while Mikey follows her around. In Erika’s interview, she says when you get something, you always want more; then you want more. She went from moving to New York, to dancing in the club, to marrying Tom, to Erika Jayne to Broadway. There are no limits.

The women arrive, and at first, no one knows who LisaR is in her wig. Erika thanks them for coming, and a cake is brought out with a giant shoe on it. Erika screams when she sees it. She thanks everyone for letting her be her. LisaR tells the group that she wants get away for week and have a good time before Erika leaves for Broadway. She’s arranged something in Rome. Dorit shows off her Italian, and Kyle thinks they should invite the Pope to hang out with them. We flash back to the women discussing various sex topics. On the side, Denise tells Erika, she knows there was noise about her walking away from conversations, but just because she’s an open person doesn’t mean she has no boundaries with her children. Erika says, when Aaron is invited, it becomes something else, and Denise says she’ll get to that. She just wants to clear the air. In Erika’s interview, she says, it’s difficult to have a conversation with Denise when, if she doesn’t like what she’s hearing, she shuts it down or leaves. I didn’t consider Denise saying to wait a moment shutting it down, but okay. Denise says she doesn’t want it to be awkward on the trip. She likes Erika and has a lot of respect for her. They have fun together. In her interview, Erika says she likes Denise, but it takes work be good friend, and requires wanting to be a friend and communicate. LisaR says the only Italian she knows is pizza and pasta. Erika says LisaR is definitely American.

Garcelle and Sutton meet at Gray Tavern. Garcelle asks about Erika’s party, and Sutton says it was nice, but they missed her. In Garcelle’s interview, she says her work schedule stops her from having a social life. She’s doing Coming to America and two TV shows. She’s a single mother, and mama got to work. She tells Sutton that she got a by-the-way text about going to Rome. She and Sutton talk hair, and Sutton says her kitchen is hot. In Garcelle’s interview, she explains, kitchen to a Black person means the back of the neck. It ups Sutton’s cool factor that she knew that. Garcelle says she was brought up not to talk money, but how did Sutton get hers? In Sutton’s interview, she says she’s Southern and doesn’t like talking about money. Garcelle asks if Sutton inherited it, married into it, or was born with it. Sutton said when she was married to her ex-husband, he did well. In her interview, Garcelle says she can rub people the wrong way because she’s blunt, but if you don’t ask deep questions, you can’t get to know someone. She didn’t ask for Sutton’s bank balance. Although she’d love to know. Sutton says she’s known her ex since she was thirteen, and they married when she was seventeen. Garcelle asks if he took her virginity, and Sutton asks why Garcelle wants to go there. Garcelle says, that’s who she is, and Sutton says she’s not answering that one.

Kyle’s daughter Alexia goes to see Amelia. In LisaR’s interview, she says, New York didn’t go as planned. Amelia came home, and is now in a safe place, with family and friends close by. Alexia is working in real estate, and LisaR asks how she likes the job. Alexis says she’s blessed to have it, but it’s a long process to learn everything she needs to know. In her interview, LisaR says, it’s not a vacation. Amelia needs to get an apartment and go to school in order to move forward. Amelia talks area and security with Alexia, and says her mood is easily changed by her surroundings. In LisaR’s interview, she says her first apartment was so gross. She lived in a place with 900 units, and they had roaches. She was lucky to have a door that locked. She had no help financially, and thinks that was a driving force in getting what she wanted. She believes helping Amelia with a thousand dollars a month is fair. The rest is on Amelia. Amelia lists the million things she needs, and says rats will kill her vibe. In her interview, LisaR says, look at the monsters she created.

Assistant Celene helps Teddi with packing. Jordan helps Sutton, but he’s distracted by her clothing, oohing and ahhing over various pieces. He doesn’t know if he’s helping or shopping. Laia helps Erika. Everyone has closets the size of my house. Erika puts a wig on her dog Tiago, and we all laugh. Teddi visits Kyle who says she’s finishing packing. Everything is a mess, with clothing everywhere, including the floor. Kyle says they need to get invites out for Teddi’s baby shower. In her interview, she says she’s been busy organizing her children’s hospital event and Italy. Teddi is ready to pop, and she hasn’t had time to plan. She asks where Teddi wants to have it, and Teddi says, whatever’s easiest. In her interview, Teddi says, nothing gives her more peace than not having to invite the women to anything. We revisit Teddi telling everyone that she didn’t care if they came to her retreat or now. Kyle asks if Teddi likes games. Teddi says she does, but she’d rather cut her face off than watch people unwrap gifts. Kyle says they’re definitely doing that then. Yep. Showers are only fun if they’re yours. Kim comes by with some clothes for Kyle, and says she’s taking Brandi to dinner for her birthday; she’s in the car. Kyle tells Kim to invite her in. In Kyle’s interview, she says, Kim and Brandi have a unique friendship. They were enemies before, then became close, and now genuinely have a good friendship. Kim goes out to the car and asks if Brandi wants to come in; they’re talking about Teddi’s shower. In her interview, Kyle says Kim was friends with Brandi when she and Brandi were in a bad place. We flash back to that, and Kyle says, but she was always happy knowing Brandi was being a good friend to Kim. They’ve come a long way since the slut/pig days. Kim says she got her biopsy results back, and everything is perfect.

Brandi asks why they’re going to Rome, and Kyle explains that Erika is leaving for four months. She adds, there’s been stuff going on in the group, like usual, and tells Brandi about Denise, and how she didn’t like the threesome conversation around her kids. Brandi says, Charlie Sheen is their father, like this should make a difference. Teddi says, Denise called her a sh*t stirrer, and Kyle says Denise runs from the truth. She has feelings, but doesn’t want to say them. Kim says, she did something to Brandi… Brandi says, she and Denise are friends, then amends it, saying she doesn’t know what they are. But the women need to be careful; Denise isn’t who she pretends to be. What you see is not what you get. Now that the cork has been pulled, Brandi says Denise doesn’t like Teddi at all, and has said horrible things about her, that she’s obnoxious and will do anything to be in the group because she’s lived in her dad’s shadow her whole life. In Teddi’s interview, she says she gave Denise the opportunity to come clean, and we flash back to five minutes ago. Brandi says Denise doesn’t like Erika either. She plays cool and laid back, but she’s not. Brandi tells them, she feels that Denise tells her things because Denise has something on her. Kyle talks in Spanish on the phone, and asks the housekeeper to bring some wine upstairs. In Kyle’s interview, she says she’s never seen Brandi upset like this. Spill it. Kim tells Brandi, Denise isn’t her friend. Brandi says when they met, she and Denise hit it off. She thought Denise was the coolest chick, but some sh*t went down, and it got effed up. Kyle asks what the story is, and Brandi says Teddi knows how she feels about cheating. They did a podcast together about it. We see a clip of that, and Brandi says she was broken for so long. In Brandi’s interview, she says, when she was married and was cheated on, it destroyed her. We flashed back to Brandi talking about Eddie and LeAnn Rimes. In her interview, she says she would never do that to another woman. She tells the group that she had a friend who was dating a married man, and she had to stop talking to her. Denise put her in a situation where she was the cheater. The wine arrives, and Kim sits next to Brandi, taking her hand. I gag a little. Brandi says she knew Denise and Aaron had an understanding. Aaron told Denise that she could be with girls if she wanted; just no men. The night they met, she went out with Denise and Aaron for dinner. They clicked, got completely wasted, and she and Denise went to the restroom and made out. This was before Denise and Aaron were married. That April, Denise invited Brandi come and do her podcast from Denise’s set. She said Brandi could stay in her room with Aaron; they’d get a rollaway bed, and Denise’s middle daughter would be there with a friend as well. In Brandi’s interview, she says, Denise’s daughter was sleeping downstairs. There was no rollaway bed, so she slept in the bed with Denise. Brandi tells the women, the second night, they got drunk. They were effed up, and kind of hooked up. Teddi says, like kiss? and Brandi says, like everything. Don’t judge her. Kyle says she’s just shocked. Brandi says she was uncomfortable; it was a loft with no door, and she couldn’t get into it. Then Denise said, don’t tell Aaron, or he would kill her. In her interview, Brandi says, in a moment, she was everything she’d always hated. She’d never be a cheater and not be loyal. She never would have slept with Denise if she’d thought Aaron wasn’t okay with it, and there had been no question in her mind that he was. Afterwards, it was like she never existed. Occasionally, Denise would text, and she stayed in touch to make sure things were kosher. Denise made her believe she did something wrong. She had a breakdown and told Kim about it; she felt horrible. Kim says Denise called the night before the charity event, and asked if Brandi had told anyone. Brandi says she’d wanted it to be a calm night, and now Denise was calling her and telling her sh*t about them. Teddi says Denise was trying to make Brandi feel like they were close. Kyle says Denise was scared, and Brandi tells them, Denise said she would never spill her secrets. It was like a threat. Kyle tells Brandi not to beat herself up about it, and Kim says she’s taking Brandi to a meditation sound bath. In Kyle’s interview, she says Brandi can be mean and a bitch, but she doesn’t believe Brandi is a liar. I do, and I think the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, as it usually is. Kyle says she’s realizing none of them know Denise.

Kim says it’s hard for Brandi to talk about, but they need to know what they’re dealing with. Kyle doesn’t know what to say. On the way back to the car, Kim tells Brandi that she should talk to someone. By that, I assume she means a therapist, and I definitely agree with that. Brandi needs some heavy duty therapy. I’m not even saying it might not have happened, but this girl is messed up, and has been the entire time she’s been on this show. Teddi wonders how she’s going to look at a chick who hates her. She’s going on an effing trip with her. Teddi suddenly looks like she has a headache.

Eighteen hours later, the women are in Rome, except for Denise and Garcelle, who are still in a car on the way to the airport. Garcelle says, it’s probably for the best. On the way to the hotel, Teddi says she needs to have an awkward conversation with LisaR. Denise has been saying negative things about her, LisaR, and Erika. And things happened between… LisaR finishes, Denise and Brandi. Denise tells Garcelle, it should be an interesting trip. Garcelle says she can’t wait.

Next time, the women throw coins in the Trevi Fountain, a statue comes to life, couture shopping happens, Teddi and Erika confront Denise, and Teddi announces Denise and Brandi had sex.

General Hospital

At the hospital, Finn apologized to Willow, saying Chase could be a knucklehead, but suggesting she cut him some slack. Chase wasn’t an expert at relationships. Laura was having lunch at the MetroCourt, and asked Carly to join her. Carly said Michael’s custody case was tomorrow. She’d done everything she could to strengthen the case, but there was no way to be sure. Trina showed up at the hospital to see Portia, who’d thought Josslyn’s driver was bringing her home. Sonny and Jason met Curtis at the pier. Sonny asked about TJ’s memory of the kidnapping, and Curtis recalled when he’d talked to TJ. He told Sonny that TJ didn’t remember much, and Sonny said that was a good thing. The less TJ remembered, the safer he’d be from Cyrus. Mac talked to Jordan about the kidnapping, and flashed back to TJ telling him that he remembered water being nearby, and possible construction.

Carly told Laura that Nelle was a nightmare, and remembered all of her interactions with Nelle. Laura said it seemed Nelle wanted to bring down GH, and Carly said Bobbie and Monica were collateral damage; Nelle wanted to force Michael’s hand in the custody case. Laura said she didn’t think insurance was going to cover it, when Cyrus walked into the MetroCourt. Curtis told Sonny, he didn’t think anyone at the PCPD had found a link between TJ and Cyrus, but Mac was getting close. Curtis flashed back to Mac showing him and Jordan where he thought TJ had been held. He told Sonny that Jordan didn’t know about their meeting. He wasn’t sure she was ready to talk about what needed to happen next, but he was. Mac told Jordan that he didn’t understand why TJ’s phone was used to text her. Jordan remembered getting false messages from TJ, saying he just needed time away to think. Finn told Willow, he wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t want to see Chase again, but did Chase explain things to her? She said Chase apologized, and she knew he was sorry, but that didn’t change anything. Sasha and Michael came out of the hospital elevator. Laura told Carly that Nelle was saying they’d conspired to give Wiley surgery without her permission, and Carly flashed back to Nelle insisting she didn’t sign the consent form, Michael saying she did, and Bobbie telling Nelle that it was in Wiley’s chart. Laura told Carly that she didn’t think the insurance covered that kind of thing, but even if they paid Nelle off, she didn’t think they could survive the negative press. Cyrus approached their table, and said it sounded dire.

Mac wondered why there was no ransom demand, and Jordan said maybe the kidnappers were biding their time. He asked, why? but she said she didn’t know, and asked if TJ remembered something more. Mac told her, no, and she said it sound like he had a theory, so lay it on her.  Curtis told Sonny, the less he knew about Sonny’s methods the better, but Jordan couldn’t be near what happened next. It was his understanding that once Cyrus’s sentence was vacated, Sonny was supposed to handle him. Wasn’t it how he maintained peace and protected his loved ones? With all due respect, Curtis wondered what was taking so long. Trina said she wanted to spend extra time with Portia, but Portia wondered if Trina was there because she didn’t want to be home alone. Trina admitted that was it, and Portia told her what happened was the exception, not the rule, and the town was kept safe by the PCPD. Trina said the Commissioner had thrown her father under the bus, and she remembered Jordan explaining that Taggert had tampered with evidence. Trina asked how Portia could trust anything to do with Jordan.

Carly told Cyrus that it was a private conversation. He said he didn’t mean to intrude, and she said, but yet he had, after eavesdropping. He told her that after being in prison for so long, he was drawn to the female siren song. They’d been talking about the future of GH, which he thought concerned everyone in the city. Laura assured him that everyone would be kept posted, and he said that erased his concerns. Carly said she must have missed the part where he’d said what he wanted, and Cyrus asked for her and Sonny’s address, saying he wanted to send them an invitation to his housewarming. They’d graciously welcomed him to Port Charles, and he wanted to return the gesture. Jason told Curtis that they couldn’t rush things, and sometimes you had to let things play out. If you forced them, they could go sideways quickly. Curtis said he had a family now, and all he could think about was how one bullet separated Trina and Cameron from life and death, and Trina calling out for the father they couldn’t save. Sonny said it couldn’t happen at a worse time, and Curtis told him that Stella had filled him in on Mike’s condition. Sonny said he was doing what he could, and he was going to solve the problem. Curtis had his word. The plan was already in motion. Mac told Jordan if the kidnapping wasn’t financially motivated, the only other reason would be to use TJ as leverage, but TJ’s only connection was to her. Jordan said TJ had been returned, and Mac asked if there had been no demands. Jordan flashed back to visiting Cyrus in prison, Cyrus taunting her, using doublespeak without actually admitting he’d kidnapped TJ, and being sent a picture of TJ in captivity. She remembered the visit from Harmony where Harmony told her that Cyrus wanted to bring a shipment through, and she was to preoccupy the police. Jordan asked Harmony what guarantee she had Cyrus would release TJ, and Harmony said the only guarantee was what Cyrus would do to him if Jordan didn’t do what he’d asked. She thought about Sonny telling her that she couldn’t stay silent, admitting to Sonny that Cyrus had her son, and Sonny saying he took Cyrus’s personal reasons for being in Port Charles to mean her. Jordan told Mac that she’d heard nothing, and Mac said he thought of her as a friend, not just a boss. She said the feeling was mutual, and he told her that if she wanted to talk, he was there.

Finn asked Sasha, what happened? and she said it was no big deal; just a bloody nose. Finn took her to an exam room, and Willow asked Michael if he wanted to talk about it. He said he and Brook were at the boxing gym, and ran into Chase and Sasha. Then Brook accidentally punched Sasha in the nose. Willow wondered why Chase hadn’t driven her there. Carly told Cyrus it was thoughtful, but their calendar was booked. Cyrus said he wanted to send the invite anyway, and she said he could send it there, or to the coffee warehouse; he knew the address. Carly flashed back to the shooting, and Cyrus asked why he would. She said it was as easy to find as a pub in Brooklyn (where there had been a parallel shooting). Cyrus hoped Laura’s schedule was more accommodating, but Laura said a major crime wave was keeping her busy; she had to pass. Cyrus was sure Sonny didn’t like to burden Carly with the details of coffee importing, but they’d reached an understanding. Laura asked, about what? and he said, a conflict of interest, but they’d cleared it up. He was planning a memorable Port Charles debut, and said Laura could expect an invite; he knew where she lived. Carly said he made it sound ominous, but he said it wasn’t intentional, and he’d put them both on his Christmas card list. He left, and Laura followed shortly after, having been put off her lunch. Curtis asked Sonny what he should do, and Sonny said, just live his life. The best thing to do was put on a normal front. What he had in mind took time. Curtis asked, how much time? and Sonny said it depended. Jason said if they attacked now, while Cyrus was parading around as the wronged party, it would draw unwanted attention. Sonny said that was the last thing he or Jordan needed. He and Cyrus had reached a truce. He needed to dig in and play nice, until he found the right moment. Curtis flashed back to Jordan wondering how she could stop Cyrus without risking the lives of her loved ones, and if she should confess that she was in on the frame. Curtis told Sonny, while he threaded this narrow needle, Jordan was stuck on a tightrope with a killer. Jordan told Mac that she appreciated his loyalty and friendship, but there was nothing she wasn’t telling him. She knew how it looked. Mac said he had to ask, and she said she was glad the right man was on the case. She had confidence he’d get to the bottom of it. Mac said he said stay on it until he did.

Curtis came by Jordan’s office, and asked if she wanted to join him in a late dinner. She said she would, but wanted to check on TJ first. Mac watched them leave. Finn examined Sasha, and said, the good news was, her nose wasn’t broken, but he wanted her to keep ice on it. She said, so much for the new face of Deception; they hadn’t even launched yet. She was grateful no paparazzi were around. She said Chase told her that Finn knew everything, and Finn said he wanted Chase to walk away from their well-intentioned disaster before it got worse. He flashed back to telling Chase to let Willow decide. Find her and fix it. Sasha said, so they should come clean, and then what? Everyone would be happy? He said it would be better than what they were doing now, and she said it would be for her and Chase, but Michael and Willow could never be happy if Nelle got Wiley. Portia told Trina that she didn’t like what Jordan had done, but Trina’s father had trusted Jordan. Even if they didn’t know his reasons, his opinion should count for something. He would have wanted Trina to move forward, and focus on her future not his past. Trina said he would have wanted to watch her grow up, and it wasn’t fair. Portia held Trina while she cried a little. Carly told Sonny that he’d just missed Cyrus pretending to be nice, and denying he was threatening. He’d wanted their address to invite them to his housewarming, She’d said  he already had it, since he’d tried to gun them down in three different locations, and then he made it clear that he knew Laura’s address. She wondered how much longer Port Charles would have to endure him. Trina told Portia that she felt better; because she had a great mom, not because she despised Jordan any less. Portia said Jordan wasn’t responsible for Taggert’s death, and Trina said, no – he is. As Cyrus walked by, she confronted him, saying she knew who he was. He said he was sorry about her father, and she said he didn’t sound sorry. He told her there must be a misunderstanding, when Curtis showed up, and told him, back off. Stay the hell away from her.

Finn told Sasha there would be some bruising, but no scar. He said he’d noticed how she’d looked at Michael. She loved Michael, and Chase loved Willow, but they thought the best solution was to play God with everyone’s lives. Michael told Willow that Chase was busy reading Brook the riot act, so he brought Sasha to the hospital. It was hard turning off the feelings. Tomorrow was the hearing, and they had to be ready. Willow assured him that they would be. Sonny went to the MetroCourt, and Carly asked him if he remembered the time they got married so she could spy on him. He said, which time? and she said, either one.  She told him everything stayed between them, and asked if there was anything she needed to know. Sonny said for now it was best to wait until she needed to know. She asked him to promise that he was going to end the craziness with Cyrus, and he promised. She said, when? and he flashed back to telling Cyrus that he could live in Port Charles, but had to conduct business elsewhere. He couldn’t move his merchandise through Sonny’s territory, and it couldn’t touch Sonny or his associates. Cyrus said they had a deal. Sonny also recalled telling Jason that he was biding his time, and when Cyrus stopped looking for Sonny out of the corner of his eye, he was going to take Cyrus out. Sonny told Carly, sooner than Cyrus thinks. Laura went to the PCPD looking for Jordan, but Mac said she’d left. He asked if he could help Laura, and she said, not unless he could get rid of Cyrus. Cyrus told Curtis they hadn’t been introduced, and Curtis said Cyrus knew good and damn well he was Jordan’s husband. Curtis knew everything about Cyrus, and told him to play his game somewhere else, and stay away from Trina and Portia.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles

JoshF was forty-five minutes late to see a house in Long Beach, an hour and a half outside of Beverly Hills on a good traffic day. His problem wasn’t traffic though; it was fighting with the GPS on Bobby’s car. The house hadn’t been on the market in nearly fifty years. Seller Julie, whose parents had bought the house after she left for college, met Josh, and showed him around. Casa Oceana was 7,692 square feet, and had spectacular unobstructed views. Built in 1928, it was designed by Roland Coate, who’d done a lot of Spanish revival, which included courtyards. They not only gave a house an indoor/outdoor feel, but prior to air conditioning, it was a place to cool off. Although renovations had been done in 1977-79, the owners kept the original wood beamed ceilings. The most interesting feature was in the chef’s kitchen, a 1970s ceramic induction cooktop, where the heating elements were in the tiles. There were 3 bedrooms and 7 baths, a chauffeur’s quarters that had been turned into a guest suite, and a 56,000 square foot lot. Julie was a stickler for time – I thought, geez, at least Josh had been honest; he could have said it was traffic – but she loved how Josh noticed details other brokers hadn’t, as well as being in agreement with her price point of just under $12 million. Julie gave him the listing, and he thought there would be a ton of interest because no one had seen it, but that didn’t mean it would sell. The buyer would probably have to put $5-6 million into renovations, especially since there were only 3 bedrooms. BTW, Josh’s commission would be $300K. I know they put in a lot of work, but it must be nice to make several years’ salary for most people in one shot.

Tracy’s own house was being sold, but she’d stepped away, since she couldn’t be objective. This didn’t stop her from reminding team member Gina about her house’s special features a million times. She met with Douglas/Elliman agent Tim, along with other investors at La Mirada, their property in Pasadena. Like Tracy with her own home, Tim felt he was too close to the property to be the broker, and wanted to keep it at arm’s length. The group had sunk several million into renovations, the imported tiles alone costing $10K. The house had 4 bedrooms and 3½ baths, engineered white oak flooring, and was on nearly 2 acres. Tracy told Tim, it was $10 million just for the dirt. In her interview, she said mid-century modern sold well because of its simplicity in design, making it easier to renovate, and Pasadena was on fire because of the value. They agreed on a price of $3.325 million.

JoshA and Heather had a new baby boy, Ace, and Josh said Lexie was being the best older sister. He drove to an area of Hollywood Hills that was populated by new money, and attracted young entertainment buyers. He met with seller Ken to look at a 7,456 square foot home with an open floor plan. The seller had put in $2.1 million in renovations, putting in Viking appliances, custom Italian cabinetry, and imported stone countertops. The master suite was huge, 1500 square feet, along with a 300 square foot closet. The house was 4 bedrooms and 6 baths, had a salt water pool, and was on a 26,791 square foot lot. Josh thought it was the epitome of Hollywood Hills, and perfect for someone looking for super clean and modern. Ken needed to go back to New York, and had no choice but to sell it. He wanted to build something for himself in New York, and wanted to move quickly. Josh said it was about comps and the market. The house had been on the market for four months; the listing was stale, and the market was uncertain. He thought Ken should ask for $13 million, but Ken said he’d talked to other agents who agreed with him that he should ask for $15 million, and he’d get back to Josh. In Josh’s interview, he said brokers told sellers what they wanted to hear to get the listing.

JoshF walked into his staff meeting with a bag of panama hats. He told his team about Casa Oceana, and said it had a resort feel, making him want to throw a party. There was something inspiring about it. He thought the party should be daytime casual, and planned on using airplane banner advertising to promote it.

Tracy and Gina went to a high-end vintage clothing store called Timeless Vixen, looking for outfits for the La Mirada open house. Tracy decided she would use a theme, and wanted to pattern it after photographer Slim Aarons. She said his photographs were quintessential of mid-century architecture, with pops of color, perfect for an older house. Tracy zeroed in on a piece of Balenciaga couture, a jacket once owned by Mick Jagger, going for $22K. She told Gina that she needed to sell her house quickly. Gina said she’d gotten an offer of $19 million for Tracy’s house, and Tracy said she didn’t want to play hardball, but wanted to be aggressive with her first counter offer. Her asking price was $23 million, and she countered with $21.9. She thought it was surreal talking about the sale of her own house. She was excited, but used to being on the other side. Gina said Tracy couldn’t buy the jacket yet, and Tracy asked if it could be put on layaway.

JoshF, Bobby, Wilie, and Hilary (Director of Operations) went to Casa Oceana to set up for the party, and watched Josh’s plane go by. In his interview, Josh yelled, da plane! Da plane! then told the group that he’d always wanted his name in the sky. We found out that the plane cost $2500 to rent. Good to know. Josh said they had booze, panama hats, and booze, and someone was going to buy the house for the land and view, not because it was staged. Afterward, he told us, on paper the event went wonderfully, but there were about 290 looky-loos who weren’t even qualified to buy it.

For Tracy’s La Miranda open house, she’d gotten models in full mod wardrobe and makeup, lots of yellow flowers, and fondue in the kitchen. It was a whole moment, and she was into it, even wearing a yellow outfit to match the flowers. She told potential buyers that it was one of the most stylish, functional homes in the area. When she pointed out the Jack and Jill bathroom, I had to go, ugh. Why? Why would you want to brush your teeth next to someone else? It’s not a competition. At the open house, Gina said she knew it wasn’t the ideal time, but the potential buyer for Tracy’s house had come up to her counter of $21.9 million. Tracy said she knew she would miss it, but a new chapter was exciting. She looked forward to something different.

Street artist Gregory Siff did a wall mural outside of the Altman Brothers office building. In his interview, Josh said when people took selfies, his name would be behind them. The mural was really cool – a wall of icons depicting Josh, Matt, and everything that was in their orbit. Josh had one request, that Gregory include his dog Diego, who he’d just lost. Josh got choked up, so I did too, having just lost my oldest dog in May. In Josh’s interview, he said that he’d rescued Diego fourteen years ago, and he was the first dog Josh had lost. In good times and bad, Diego had always been happy to see him. Ken called, and told Josh that he’d talked again to other brokers who thought he could get more for his house. He wanted the most money, and needed to move. Josh said he was a straight shooter and knew the area best. People were telling Ken what he wanted to hear, and it wasn’t the truth. In his interview, Josh said the house would be marketed incorrectly, and would end where it was going to end anyway. It was frustrating. He told Ken that he hoped he was proven wrong, but he wasn’t wrong often. He told Matt that it was bad for the market. It would have a domino effect, where other people would think their houses were worth more. Matt told him to focus on the future. Boy, do I understand this. I’ve gotten into arguments with people wanting me to sell there stuff on eBay for more than it’s worth, and I tell them the same thing, good luck with that.

JoshF said that Casa Oceana needed quality buyers, not just traffic. He decided to have private showings at dusk, when you could hear the ocean waves. While the house needed a facelift, he would steer the potential buyers toward the positives, like the historic character. Most of the people invited were interested in more bedrooms, and wanted to push back the price. Josh was concerned the listing was going to get stale. People just didn’t have the imagination for the property, and it was unfortunate.

Tracy had five days to find a rental, but didn’t seem too concerned. She spoke with Curt, a long-time agent at Douglas/Elliman in Beverly Hills, who said he had a celebrity client wanting to relocate to Pasadena because they wanted more space. They liked La Mirada, but the outside needed to be adjusted. They wanted a $100K landscaping job that would give them more privacy. Tracy thought $100K seemed steep to privatize, and she had other showings coming up. They’d have other offers. Curt said he was there now, and the privacy was a deal breaker. Tracy thought they had a bit to go before they got there. She called Tim, who she knew wasn’t going to spend that much landscaping to privatize the property. She suggested they cap it at $30K. He could sell the house today, and it was a good offer in record-breaking time. She told Curt $30K, Curt said $60K, and she said the maximum without uncertainty was $30K, and she was comfortable with his client walking. Curt told her, his authority was to get as much as he could, and he took the deal. Tracy told Curt, we get sh*t done.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

General Hospital

I shot an arrow into the air, and where it landed was on a GH Flashback from November 10th, 2004.

Sam was hooked up to machines in the hospital while Jason kept watch. Literal toddler Kristina was in the same position, awaiting surgery, while Alexis kept watch. Ric showed up with a restraining order to keep Sonny from seeing Kristina. Luke was still in the opening credits, but walked away in the group shot, but I don’t know if that was some kind of statement – about the show, Tony Geary, or both – or actually prophetic.

At first, I thought Nikolas had a twin, but it turned out to be lookalike Connor, who I remember zero about. Old Mike was working at Kelly’s. Courtney told Lois (I remember her!) that Sonny was really Kristina’s father, and Mike said Carly knew, but had kept it to herself. Sam was unconscious, and had lost a baby girl, and Elizabeth looked like she was twelve. Sonny tore up the restraining order, and told Ric that he’d wreck anyone who came between him and his daughter. He’d already lost one daughter, and wasn’t losing Kristina. Little Michael said he knew Sonny was sad about losing the baby, and Sonny reassured Michael that he and Morgan were safe. Michael asked if he was mad at God, but Sonny said he didn’t blame anybody, and told Michael, no matter how hard times get, family has to love each other. Michael asked how they could help, and Sonny said, be kind to each other. He told Michael, a way to respect losing someone precious was letting go, no matter how hard it was. He said, eventually they’d have to get on with their lives, but not today.

Alexis told Ric he was all kinds of wrong, and to focus on Kristina. Elizabeth told Jason that Sam’s feelings would be complicated, and not to let her deal with having planned for the baby’s homecoming alone. Jason said they already had a nursery set up, and Elizabeth said they’d prepared together, so they should mourn together. She said Sam was going to look for someone to blame, and hold herself responsible. Emily nursed Connor’s wound, and told him being a doctor was a dream of hers. He said he gave himself reasons for walking out of the military, but wondered if he really was just a deserter and his reasons were baloney. Courtney told Jason, when they’d lost their baby, he held her together and she wanted to help him now. Lois told Alcazar that Kristina was Sonny’s daughter, and Carly knew, but hadn’t told Sonny. She didn’t think Sonny was going to forgive Carly, and they’d be getting divorced, but Alcazar didn’t think Sonny was in a position to criticize. Kim was still old Carly, and Sonny told her that he was grateful Sam’s baby was going to give Kristina the stem cell infusion she needed. Carly said they were family, and she’d always want to help and support him, whether they’re married or not. Courtney told Jason that Elizabeth was right. He needed to help Sam, and they had to give themselves time to grieve. Potential parenthood had changed him, and Sam loved him. She said if he needed anything, she was there, and Jason said he’d be okay.

Lois told Alcazar that Sonny would go to the ends of the earth to protect his family, but she didn’t think he’d take Carly back. She’d broken a cardinal rule, and lied about family. She wondered if Alcazar would go back to Carly. Carly’s dad John, aka Corbin Bernsen, brought Carly and little Michael to a house, and tried to entice Michael with a skateboarding ramp in the backyard. Michael wasn’t having it, and said he’d wait in the car. Carly said she knew John wanted her to move away from Sonny. Jason told Sonny that Dr. Webber said Sam should have come out of it by now, but Sonny thought maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Jason said he wanted to be the one to tell Sam the baby was gone.

John told Carly that he bought the house for her. She said she wanted to take care of herself, but took the keys anyway, and John left. Sonny told Jason that he thought he’d had an understanding with Sam. She trusted him, even though he’d disappointed her. Jason said Sam always respected Sonny’s choice to stay with his family, and wasn’t angry about it.

Connor had a bad dream, and Courtney told him that he was safe. He said he was dreaming about his buddy Casey, who’d died because of him. He’d watched Casey die. Michael told Carly that he wanted to go home, and live with dad. Carly explained if she and Sonny couldn’t work it out, they would need to move out, and she thought this was a nice place. That was, until Alcazar called to her from the porch. Kristina made it through her surgery, and Sam woke up. Jason told her about the baby, as we watched (but couldn’t hear) through the window. Sam screamed, no! as Jason tried to comfort her.

💰 On Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, we got another tour of the mountainside mansion known as the Razor House, that the Joshes described as not just architecture, but a piece of art. Some of the amenities included a smart home system – or as JoshF called it, an expensive light switch – an open floor plan, floor to ceiling glass (all of the windows had shields that could be brought down to cover them), a glass elevator, a subterranean garage, a rooftop terrace, and an infinity pool and hot tub. Going for a mere $25 million. They met with architect Wallace Cunningham, and we found out the house was the inspiration for Tony Stark’s house in Ironman.

James and David took on a listing for a house from 1914 that the owner had totally revamped, having to contend with the Historical Preservation Society, and being restricted as to what overlays could be used. The owner wanted $3 million because of the sweat and cash he’d sunk into it, but that brought the cost to $1250 a square foot, when most of the neighborhood was going for $800. It was one of those houses that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but is fabulous inside. David and James talked owner Joey into a price reduction, telling him that potential buyers didn’t care about the hoops he’d had to jump through to renovate. Joey was stubborn, but agreed to $2.495 million.

Tracy was ready for a new chapter in her life, and decided to sell her own house. Her divorce had been finalized, and they were sharing custody, so she’d only have her daughters 50% of the time. She explained she’d fallen in love with the house while showing it, and had thought it would be her forever home. They’d paid $13 million, but she wanted $24, and was tweaking it to perfection before putting it on the market. Thinking she’d be too emotionally attached, she told her team they would be taking the listing. In wanting to keep her family life private, she informed them that the kids were not going to be on the show. She did want them to be part of the process of looking for a new place though.

In their dual interview, JoshA asked JoshF what superhero he’d be, and JoshF said, Barbie. I’m not sure if Barbie applies, but he also said his superpower would be Ken. The Joshes got ready to hold a black tie broker’s open. In the meantime, David and James were offered $2.1 million, and talked Joey into countering with $2.3. It always amazes me when they dicker over $100-200K, when they’re ultimately talking millions. The buyer’s broker pointed out there was no garage, and gave a best and final offer of $2.25. A deal was made, and the guys made a commission of $56,250. While that could be a yearly salary for a normal human, they do put in a lot of work.

JoshA said they were pulling out all the stops for the brokers open, where both he and JoshF hosted. He said JoshF was an acquired taste, and just when you think he’s normal, something gets blurted out, and you’re like, what planet are you from? The Joshes chest bumped over their success. In his interview, JoshF enlightened us that few brokers showed trophy listings, so they had to bus them in like cattle, renting two party buses. When one broker told JoshF the house was amazing, he said, thank you; I built it, and I had to laugh, since that sounded like something I would say. David cornered Tracy at the open house, asking JoshA to give them a moment, and accused her of talking smack about him when they’d both been up for a listing. Tracy said she’d merely pointed out that she’d made an effort to show up to talk to the seller personally, rather than sending one of her team as he had. JoshA wondered what was going on, but James pleaded ignorance. In JoshA’s interview, he said, you can’t mess with Tracy; she’s a bad-ass bitch. He was sure David was going to tuck his tail and run back to England. Tracy told David, if he’d really wanted it, he should have gone himself. He said she’d also inferred that he wasn’t interested in properties that were less than $10 million, and she said it wasn’t smack; she’d just told the truth. The Joshes and James joined them, everyone talking at once, until JoshA put an end to it, by saying they talked sh*t about each other all the time; just never put it in writing. The Joshes high-fived each other.

Next time, a rockin’ house party in a house that used to belong Howard Hughes.

General Hospital

In today’s GH Flashback, the 2019 Nurse’s Ball kept going with an episode from May 22nd, 2019. Chase found out that Ryan had killed the owner of the cabin in Canada, and set a trap for Laura and Curtis. Ava said they all knew where he was headed next. Nina griped about Willow to Michael, while Shiloh accosted Willow in the hallway. Willow said she didn’t answer to him, but he got in her face, shaking his finger at her. She admitted that she was pregnant when she left Dawn of Day, but said she’d lost the baby. Olivia and Ned did a duet of Get Closer as themselves (no Eddie Maine this time). Sonny told Josslyn about Stone, and how Stone was still with him. He said when times get tough, Stone inspires him, and Oscar does the same for her. She just didn’t know it yet.

Backstage, Scotty told Ava that she deserved better, and asked her who was there when she came off the stage. (Hint: It was him, not Doc.) Ava called her Cedar Mountain house property managers, and asked that the property be opened, adding she’d pay generously for the inconvenience. Shiloh grabbed Willow, but Michael intervened, and said if Shiloh wanted to get to her, he’d have to go through Michael first. Michael decked Shiloh, and told him to get out of town, but Shiloh said he wasn’t going anywhere because he was a father. Back at the Ball, Lucy introduced Valentin, saying she didn’t know if he was the second, third, or fourth most infamous Cassadine, but she knew he was the most talented, and he sang Nothing Without You to his ladylove (old) Nina. Scotty confronted Ryan, who he thought was Doc, and when he grabbed Ryan’s arm, he ended up with Ryan’s fake hand in his. And I don’t mean they were holding hands; Ryan’s hand literally came off. Ryan knocked Scotty out with a wrench, saying, never let it be said he never had the upper hand. Freddy Krueger’s got nothing on Ryan. Shiloh told Sam about his child, but said he didn’t believe Willow had lost the baby, and he was going to find it. Sam pretended to be empathetic, saying she knew what it was like to have a child kept from you. Josslyn stalled, and thought she was letting everyone down, but Jax told her that she wasn’t, and the only opinion she should care about is her own. She didn’t have to prove anything to anyone, and if she followed her heart, she’d know what to do. She said doing the right thing is really hard, and Jax said he was in her corner, no matter what, and Oscar was too. Mac asked Lulu when she’d last talked to Laura, and Ryan watched as Ava slipped out.

Chase told Olivia and Ned that Ryan was presumed alive and on his way back to Port Charles. Epiphany found Scotty on deck, and thought he’d had too much fun. Sam used Shiloh’s own crap on him, telling him to breathe, and let peace flow through him. He thanked her for her commitment, and said he needed her to be in the Trust. Lucy was excited, happy, and proud that Josslyn decided to return, and Josslyn sang the song she and Oscar had written, A List of Things To Do. It kind of reminded me of Burn from Hamilton. Josslyn saw Oscar in the audience as she sang.

Ava went to her mountain cabin, and said, come and get me, Ryan. Lucy said Josslyn reminded her of why she’s honored to be part of the event. It makes you laugh, and makes you cry. It’s about great big feelings, and she hoped great big money. Shiloh told Sam there was a fight coming, and to give him her strength. Willow confessed to Michael that she told Shiloh that she’d lost the baby. Brad tried to get Lucas to leave, but Lucas had put two and  two together, and said Willow and Shiloh were Wiley’s birth parents. Chase put out an APB for Ava, and Scotty said he wasn’t liquored up; he’d been clubbed over the head by Ryan. When Lucy called for the crew to bring down the rigging, along with the rigging came Doc, hanging there in a straitjacket.

At the cabin, Ava ignored her phone, and got her gun ready, along with a martini. No surprise, Ryan showed up.

On the entertainment front, from true stories like Prick Up Your Ears, Boys Don’t Cry, and Milk, to the brilliantly written Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and TLC’s latest effort Dragnificent, there’s a whole host of colors in the rainbow. At present, I think we could all use a pick-me-up, and while conventional romcoms are not my thing, one of my favorite films is Trick. I actually saw it by accident, stumbling on it when it was on rotation on LOGO years ago. The title might lead you to believe it’s on the sleazy side, but not at all. It’s about a poor young dude, living in NYC, named Gabriel (Christian Campbell), who’s just trying to get alone time with his date Mark (J.P. Pitoc). Gabriel is also a playwright, working to get his musical off the ground with the help of his best friend Katherine (Tori Spelling). Katherine has one of the funniest monologues about sh*t I’ve ever heard, and Enter You from Gabriel’s musical will be stuck in your head for days, if not for life. Yes. We still call it that. With things not back to normal – or whatever that’s going to be now – everyone is still figuring it out as they go.
