What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Anna asks Jason, are we going to talk about that kiss or what? and he asks if she wants to talk about it. She says, no, but she thinks they should.

Josslyn walks into Bobbie’s and asks if Lucky is hurt. Were they robbed? He says, no, and she says, who did this… He did this? Why? He says he got some bad news, and she says, so he trashed her mom’s business? The family business? He says, Joss… and she says she’s glad he recognized her, because she sure as hell doesn’t recognize him.

Kristina tells Alexis that she had to pull some strings to see her after hours, and Alexis asks if she’s okay. Kristina says she’s good. She moved back home. Dante helped and Diane came by. She wanted to make sure Alexis was okay. Alexis says she had a lot of visitors today. She and the guard bonded, and she has an entertaining cellmate, Heather Webber. Kristina says, she’s a psycho, but Alexis says, Heather gives her cred with the other inmates. Is Kristina really okay? Is she seeing her postpartum counselor? Kristina says she filled out the paperwork, but she’s having trouble focusing because of Alexis being here.

At Pozzulo’s, Natalia says, the roll out projections are doable and within budget, but Sonny says, not now. Sit down and relax. Natalia says she doesn’t have much time, and he asks if she’s got a date. What’s going on? She seems stiff. She says she’s being professional. She thought they agreed to leave it that way. He said his personal life was complicated and she thinks it’s best if they stick with business. He says, the last thing he wants is for her to be uncomfortable, and she says, that’s the problem. When she’s around him, she’s too comfortable.

Carly checks herself in her compact mirror and knocks on Jack’s door. He says, the lady is prompt, and she asks if this is her raincheck. He says, indeed it is, and invites her in. Elaine approaches, taking a photo with her phone and says, gotcha.

Josslyn asks, what’s going on? Is Lucky drunk or something? He says, not yet, and she says, her mom could have him arrested. He says he doesn’t care, and she asks if he sees the sign. It says, Bobbie’s. They renamed it after her grandmother and his aunt. He says he knows who she is, and she says, this place was renamed to honor her, and this is what he does. He says, add it to his family’s tab, and she says, if this is how he treats his family, she wants nothing to do with him. Jason risked his life to bring him back. Why isn’t he helping Lulu instead of throwing a tantrum? Lucky says, it was a wasted trip, and leaves. She says, nice. Leave her here to clean up the mess.

Anna tells Jason that the kiss stays in Africa. It was an isolated incident and will never happen again. Jason says, understood. Anything else? She says, yes. Brennan had so many questions about him. Brennan was surprised she trusted him as much as she did. He asks if it scored him points, and she says, unfortunately, yes. Brennan was impressed and wants to recruit Jason. He does not want to get involved with the WSB. He says, it’s not going to happen, and she says, he should probably get some rest. He says, like her? and she says, yeah, like her. She goes to the door, and he tells her to take care of herself. She says she will. She’ll see him around. She leaves.

Carly thanks Jack and says, he went above and beyond for her family, and he suggests they keep it on the DL. She says she won’t forget everything he did – the intel, the plane, the drone strike.  Jason and Lucky are alive because of him and she owes him big time. He says, her gratitude is all the thanks he needs, and she says, comping the dinner is the least she can do, but he says, that’s unacceptable.

Natalia tells Sonny, forget she said that, and he says that he likes that she’s comfortable around him. What’s the problem? She says she works for him, and it blurs the lines, and he says he respects any boundaries she sets. She says, there’s that old world charm. His personal code, honor and respect. He says he respects her, and she says, he’s a decent guy. She knew that from the beginning. Any other time under different circumstances… He says, if she waits for the perfect time and circumstances, she’ll be waiting forever, and she says, he might be right. He says he’s always right. What would her perfect circumstances be? She says, probably spending more time with him and getting to know him better, and he says he would like that.

Alexis asks if Kristina is sure nothing happened. She’s here late. Kristina says, nothing happened. She’s just been walking around, going through the motions, and thinking it isn’t fair. She has to do something. Alexis says she has a good attorney and together they’ve come up with a strategy she thinks will get her out. Kristina asks what it is, but Alexis says she can’t tell her and needs her to not be concerned. Kristina says, that’s difficult. Alexis is in here with a serial killer roommate and she’s getting advice from Diane that she needs to get her own lawyer. Alexis asks what Diane said, but Kristina says, nothing. She doesn’t want to upset Alexis. She just wants Alexis to focus on herself and not protecting her. Alexis says she’s a mother and protects her girls, but Kristina says she created this situation and needs to be the one to take responsibility for it.

Josslyn hears someone come in, and she says, sorry. They’re closed. Dex walks in with Officer Matthews, and Matthews says, they got a call that a crazy guy busted up the diner. What can she tell them about that?

Lucky goes to the coffee warehouse and Jason asks, what’s going on? Lucky says he needs Jason’s help getting back to Africa, and Jason says, when? Lucky says, as soon as he can arrange a flight. He needs a passport. Sidwell took his. Jason says, Lucky can’t be donor? And Lucky says, he’s a perfect match, but the choices he made caused him to not be viable to save his sister.

Carly says, Jack is refusing to let her comp the meal? and he says, she heard correctly. Her phone rings and she sees that it’s Felicia. She ignores the call and says she didn’t mean to offend him. She just wanted to say thank you. He says he accepts her thanks, but doesn’t accept that she owes him anything. She says, he saved Lucky and Jason at her request and he doesn’t want anything in return, and he says, he doesn’t want them to be a transactional relationship. He has plenty of those. She doesn’t owe him anything. He pours the champagne and hands her a glass. She says, he did an extraordinary thing for her family, and all he wants is her gratitude? He says, gratitude is overrated. There’s so much more to her that he’d rather have. (I swoon.)

Alexis tells Kristina, don’t do anything to interfere. It will just complicate things. Kristina says, doing nothing doesn’t work for her, and Alexis says, do it anyway. Kristina says, fine. She’ll do it Alexis’s way.

Sonny asks what Natalia’s perfect scenario of them spending time together involves. Reading spreadsheets or something more personal? She says she’s fine with both. They’re both adults and capable of communicating what they need personally and professionally. He asks, what’s wrong then? and she says, he’s a man with specific business connections and affiliations. He says, she’s not referring to coffee or cosmetics, and she says, no judgement, but his complicated connections come with a lot of trouble. He says, and she doesn’t want trouble, and she says she should know better, but she guesses she doesn’t.

Josslyn says, her mom owns Bobbie’s, and Matthews says, the guy did a number on the place. Is she okay? She says, it was just a misunderstanding, and Matthews says, destruction of property is against the law. She says she’s embarrassed to admit it, but it’s a family thing, and he asks if she wants to file a report, but she says, no. They’re not pressing charges. Dex says, if they don’t, they can’t file an insurance claim, and Matthews says, the rookie needs the practice. Josslyn says she’s sure he’ll catch on. There’s not much damage. Dex asks if she’s sure, and she nods. Matthews says, if she changes her mind, stop by the station. He tells Dex, let’s roll, and Josslyn thanks them.

Lucky says, a parasite, some microscopic organism he didn’t know about, is keeping him from saving his sister. Now she’s going to die because of him. Jason says he’s sorry, and Lucky says, he and Anna nearly died getting him back and it’s all for nothing. Jason says, he’s not doing anybody any good by jetting. Doesn’t he want to see Laura? Lucky says he doesn’t want to see the look of disappointment in her eyes. He was never good at goodbyes. Jason says he understands, but the people in Lucky’s life need them – Aiden, Elizabeth… He can get Lucky the cash and passport, but take it from someone who just got back, both times he left his family, there was no chance to say goodbye and it devastated them. Lucky says, now they’re good, but Jason says, anything can happen. Lucky says, he’ll only cause pain, but Jason says, he’ll hurt them more not saying goodbye. Elizabeth, Aiden, and Laura are strong. They’ll survive. The question is, can he?

Molly goes to Anna’s office, and Anna asks what case she wants to discuss. Molly says, John Cates, but Anna says, Molly knows she can’t discuss it. Molly is an ADA, and her mother is the defendant. Molly says she’s not asking Anna to share details. She needs Anna to reopen the investigation and arrest the real killer – Sonny Corinthos.

Sonny says, it’s Natalia’s call. He’s not going to push her to do what she doesn’t want to. Where they go from here is up to her. His phone rings, and he says he’s got to get this. It’s his lawyer. He’ll be right back. He goes into his office.

Carly and Jack clink glasses when her phone rings again. She says she has to get this. Her friend Felicia keeps calling. The doorknob rattles, and outside Elaine pretends to be trying to open the door with her keycard. Felicia peeks at her from around the corner, and Jack tells Carly that he needs her to move right now. She goes to the suite hallway, and Jack opens the door. He asks if he can help Elaine.

Kristina walks into Pozzulo’s and asks if her dad is here. Natalia says he’s in his office on the phone. How is she doing? She looks well. Kristina says, looks can be deceiving. She’s hanging in. Natalia says she supposes that’s all they can do. She and Kristina’s dad can finish tomorrow. She needs to get going. Please let him know she left him the paperwork. She thought Kristina would want to know that Allison is doing great on tour. She’s spoken mostly with her tour manager and Brook, but the audience attendance is fantastic, and she’s hit her stride. Kristina says she’s not surprised, and Natalia says she’s seen clips from the tour, and Allison has blossomed. She’s a star. Kristina says, she always has been, and Natalia says she thought Kristina might want to know. Kristina thanks her and says she wants Allie to be happy. Natalia says, Allison wants the same for Kristina. Good to see her. Take care of herself. She leaves and Sonny comes out. He and Kristina hug, and she tells him that Natalia said she’d talk to him tomorrow. She left these. She hands him the paperwork, and he asks if she ran Natalia off. She says, actually, they had kind of a nice moment, and he asks what brings her by. She says she saw her mom in Pentenville and they’ve got to get her out.

Anna says, Molly knows this is inappropriate, but Molly says, not more than arresting her mother for a crime she didn’t commit. Where’s the justice in letting her take the fall for Sonny? Anna says she has no evidence and the evidence they have points to Molly’s mother, who did herself no favors by not being forthcoming. Molly says, that doesn’t mean she’s guilty, but Anna says, the FBI is prosecuting the case. She doesn’t think she could stop it even if she wanted to. Molly asks if she’s saying they won’t look at Sonny if there’s concrete evidence, and Anna says she doesn’t have any and Sonny has an alibi. Molly says, when Sonny was charged with Claudia Zacara’s murder, Carly perjured herself. Doesn’t Anna think she’d do it again? Sonny assaulted Dex and when Cates provoked Sonny’s hated by attacking Kristina, he signed his own death sentence. Sonny was at the Quartermaines when Cates was murdered and has the motive, means, and opportunity. There’s got to evidence. They can’t rely on the FBI, and she needs Anna to find it.

Carly says she can’t talk, and Felicia says, she’s being tailed. That elegant older woman with the pint-sized pooch is a P.I.

Jack tells Elaine that she’s got the wrong room, and slams the door. He tells Carly, that Park Avenue doyenne is a P.I., and she asks how he can tell. He says he can always tell, but is she here for him or for Carly? Carly says her. That’s the reason she can’t be seen with him right now. He says, the WSB is at her service.

Lucky says, before he left, he was destroying his life. He was shredding Elizabeth, and he could see he was destroying her. Jason says, so he stepped back, and Lucky says he stepped off. He remembers Luke used to disappear sometimes. He said it was his time to reflect and get in tune with himself. He didn’t understand when he was a kid, but now he realizes Luke wanted to keep his own demons away from them. It worked, so he followed suit. He tried to convince himself that by doing good in the world, he could maybe make up for the wreckage he left here. Jason asks if it worked, and Lucky says he thought so until Jason and Anna showed up. They told him about Lulu, and then that’s all that mattered. He was hoping maybe it would be the redemption he was searching for, but he already made his choices, and now Lulu is going to die because of him. Jason says, he doesn’t know that for sure, and Lucky says he let everyone down and it impacted the family. He saw Rocco’s eyes and he’s not wrong. He doesn’t deserve to be here. Jason asks if he thinks his family deserves a hasty exit, and he takes an envelope out of a desk drawer. He puts it on the desk and says, there’s 10 grand. It should do for now. Lucky is the only one who can make the decision. If he thinks it’s really the best thing, then go. Lucky asks what Jason thinks he should do. Should he stay?

Anna says, Molly just wants Sonny to be guilty because she’s angry with him, but Molly says she wants justice. Anna says, for Cates or her baby? Molly is human and can’t not hold Sonny responsible for some part in the baby’s death. Molly says, because Kristina went to Ava because she didn’t want to testify against her father. She probably wouldn’t have gone if she hadn’t seen him attack Dex. Maybe Anna can file charges for Sonny’s assaults on Dex and Cyrus. Anna says, Molly was reluctant to follow through on that, and Molly says, she’s right. She’s just as complicit, but they can use that now to establish a pattern of Sonny’s violent behavior. Anna says, the FBI took the case, and Molly says, to hell with the FBI. Take back the case and investigate Sonny. Or is all of Anna’s talk about justice and the law just talk? She walks out.

Kristina tells Sonny that Alexis tried to convince her that she’s fine in Pentenville. Heather is her roommate, and she considers the guards her friends. She’s getting too comfortable. Sonny says he understands that she’s worried, and Kristina says, of course (🍷) she is. She’s going to come forward to the police. Sonny says he doesn’t think that’s a good idea, and Kristina says she won’t involve him, but he asks if she’s going to tell them where she found the gun. She says she can’t be helpless like this, but he says he and her mom agree on it. She says, the only time they agree is about her and cleaning up her mess. Not this time. She’s going to take accountability. He says, Diane called. Her mom’s trial is in three weeks. She says, that’s not enough time to prepare, but he says, a lot can happen in three weeks. She asks, how, if she doesn’t do anything, and he says, her mom appreciates her loyalty, but Kristina can’t fix this, or they’ll have to clean up that mess. They’re going to fix this, but it’s going to need time to fix. Kristina says, this is because of her. It’s her fault. Sonny says, it’s not. Jagger did this to himself. She didn’t do it. Kristina says, okay. He’s right. Cates and Ava did this.

Jack asks if he can have a raincheck, and Carly says, if he can get her out without being spotted, she’ll give him all the rainchecks he wants and her undying gratitude. Jack says, deal. Give him a two-minute head start. He leaves and sees Elaine. He asks if she still can’t find her room and says he’ll escort her to the lobby, and they’ll take care of it. He steers her down the hall, saying, he had a dog when he was a child. A border collie named Perceval… Felicia calls Carly and says she’s in the clear, and Carly says, meet her at Bobbie’s and she’ll tell Felicia what’s going on. Felicia says, see her soon, and Carly leaves.  

Dex comes back to Bobbie’s and asks if Josslyn needs a hand, and she says, aren’t you supposed to be working, rookie? He says he told Officer Matthews that it would be a contribution to society if he helped her clean up, and she asks if it worked. He says, no. Matthews knows they’re together. Off the record, who did this? She says, her cousin Lucky. He just got back from Africa, and she was so pissed, she didn’t realize that Anna and Jason brought him back to help save Lulu. She needs a liver transplant, and he was her best bet as a donor. Dex asks if she thinks it had to do with that, and she says, based on his reaction, she doesn’t think going happen anymore. She was horrible to Lucky, and she didn’t have to be.

Jason says he can’t tell Lucky whether to stay or go. It’s not his call. His circumstances were different. Lucky says, he has insight, but Jason says he can’t give Lucky the answer he’s looking for. Lucky says, understood, and takes the envelope. He thanks Jason for the loan and says he’ll pay him back someday. He leaves.

Dex says, Josslyn must be some kind of saint not to be upset, family or not, and she says, it was a shock. But she realized as she was cleaning, she was right about Lulu. Lucky was devastated and needed a release. This was the only safe place for him to do that. Any place else, he’d be arrested. Dex says, there’s still time, and she says, thanks. Molly comes in and says she didn’t realize they were closed. Josslyn says, they had a little accident, but it’s fine. Come in. She can’t cook anything, but she can get Molly a drink or a sandwich. Molly says she’d kill for an iced tea, and Josslyn says, she’s got it. Molly sits down and Dex says, long day? She asks if there’s any other kind. Don’t worry. It’s not a crying on his shoulder day. He says he’s got two. Everyone needs a friend sometimes. She asks why they’re closed, and he says, long story. Josslyn comes back with three iced teas and says, on the house. To better days. Molly says, cheers to that.

Carly meets Felicia and thanks her for the save. How did she know that woman was a P.I.? Felicia says, they go way back. Elaine is old school, but she’s good, and that dog will outlive us all. Carly says, thank God Felicia spotted her, and Felicia says, Elaine asked about Carly, and she realized Elaine was tailing her. Carly says she owes Felicia big time, and Felicia says, for the record, Jack Brennan’s not worth it. (Oh yes, he is.) Carly says, he’s a high-profile guest of the hotel and needed assistance, and Felicia says, don’t say she didn’t warn her. Carly says, thanks, but it’s not necessary, and Felicia says, Carly has a bigger problem. They need to figure out why someone is having her tailed in the first place.

Jason goes to Sonny’s office and says, Sonny wanted to see him? Sonny says, Alexis’s trial is in a couple of weeks. If she goes to trial, Kristina won’t be able to handle it and he’s afraid she’ll do something to protect her mother and hurt herself, unless they find the gun Alexis got rid of. Jason says, it doesn’t look good, and Sonny says, then he’ll have to take the fall. Jason says, okay. Somehow, the cops have to come into possession of the gun Alexis tossed. (Yeah. I never thought of this before, but why don’t they just throw another gun in the river?)

Anna looks through the file on John Cates’s murder, when there’s a knock at the door. Kristina come in and Anna asks if she can help her. Kristina says she wants to help Anna. She has information about the night John Cates was killed.

Lucky kneels in the chapel and says, it’s been a while since he’s talked to God like this. He doesn’t know why. He guesses he doesn’t like to call on Him for the small stuff, but this isn’t small. It’s his sister. I’m begging You, please Lord, just save my sister. And if You can’t for some reason I don’t understand… I’m going to need help to live with it. He’s made so many mistakes and hurt so many people. He just wants it to stop. He doesn’t want to cause any more pain. So if You’re listening, I could use some guidance right now. And I’m pretty desperate, so I’ll take whatever You’ve got. Laura walks in and says, Lucky?

Tomorrow, Kristina wonders why she’s getting the feeling Anna doesn’t want her to talk; Martin says he has the key to Alexis’s salvation; Carly tells Sonny that she’ll go down with him; and Jason says he should have killed Cates when he had the chance.

🎼 On the Road Again…

This is a real shame. I’ve loved the scenes with Marshall and Curtis. It’s always like watching a play. And when he had the scenes with fantasy Irene, it was magic. I’m just going to say it, as much as I love GH, they do a disservice to both the Black and gay communities. Their roles always start off strong and then are minimalized, and there’s rarely a follow through in the romance department. Actually, as far as gay characters go, there’s never been a follow through. I’m still bitter about Kristina and Blaze. And I’m straight. I can’t imagine how gay fans feel.

🧂 Salty Not Sweet…

My takeaway points, followed by the link to a full recap below – including a photo of Bronwyn as a hot dog! Heather and Whitney were in some kind of Laverne and Shirley world being in Milwaukee. Meili, Britani, and Lisa went ice curling, while the others went to the beer caves, which looked like a lot less work. Mary never had beer before and discovered she liked it, calling Miller High Life regal. Frankly, I prefer Molson or Corona, but TBH, I don’t think I’ve ever had Miller. Britani said she was done with Jared after she found out he’d been texting her brow girl. I continually forget that Jared is an Osmond. Not that it makes a difference to me, but it’s like dating Prince William in MormonWorld.

Laverne and Shirley stayed at the caves to crack open some Blue Moon, while the others went to the Milwaukee Inn to hear about Milwaukee hauntings. Mary talked about her dad’s association with Dahmer again, and in Bronwyn’s interview, she said, nothing could top Mary’s stories. In Mary’s interview, she said she hoped her dad wasn’t making it up. Heather told Whitney that people were saying she was white labeling jewelry from China, and in Whitney’s interview, she said there was a social media account saying she got her jewelry from Alibaba. It was f***ed up that Meredith had gone back to her old tricks, digging up dirt, and instead of calling her, Meredith was going to everyone else. We flashed back to Meredith spreading gossip about Angie being in the Greek mafia, and Heather suggested Whitney talk to Meredeth at a better time, like, maybe not at dinner, but I knew that wasn’t going to happen.

They took a party bus to the Harley Davidson Museum, and Whitney decided the bus was the better time. After a dust up on the way there, they had dinner at the museum, which had been opened just for them. IMO, this seemed like a really stupid idea. I wouldn’t want to eat sushi while gazing at the dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum. Seeing the first motorcycles from over 100 years ago was pretty cool though. In Bronwyn’s interview, she said, it took the Harley Davidson Museum to bring out the classy side in these ho’s. No surprise, it didn’t last long, since Whitney brought it up again at dinner. Lisa insisted on getting involved under the guise of helping out, no matter how many times Whitney told her to stay out of it.

After that, it was on to Trixie Mattel’s bar, This Is It! The women dressed for the occasion, but Bronwyn outdid herself in a Moschino hot dog that Mary said was not fashion, but a costume. Mary might be right there, but it wasn’t out of line for a drag queen bar. The place looked super crowded, like, literally wall to wall people. As much as I’d love to go there, my idea of fun doesn’t include standing in a long line to stand in a crowd. And how the hell do you get to the bar? Hopefully, it was just like that because the Housewives were in town, although I don’t think I’m going to find myself in Milwaukee anytime soon. The group got onstage and had a dance off, but I didn’t see much dancing. In Heather’s interview, she said, they made all of their Milwaukee dreams come true and did it their way. Laverne and Shirley would be proud. I’m not so sure about that.

💣 Outlaws In the House…

I’d started watching the first season of House of Villains and was surprised at how much I liked it, but I drifted away before the end. I decided to give it another go, mostly because there was nothing else going on in that time slot, and I do love host Joel McHale. Teresa Giudice leads the pack, and while I’m not a fan of her on RHONJ, she’s going to make a great villain. Although, according to her, she’s not a villain. She’s just a loud Italian and passionate. In her interview, she said she’d done a lot of competition shows and listed all of two – The Apprentice and Dancing with the Stars. There were two beds in the rooms, and I’ll be damned if I’d share a room as a grown-ass woman. One of the greatest villains of all time, Richard Hatch, is also a cast member, and I wondered why I thought he was dead. Even more shocking was Larissa Lima from 90 Day Fiancé, who looks nothing like herself anymore with a totally new face and gigantic – and I mean gigantic – boobs. New York is in the house as well, and I’m definitely a Tiffany Pollard fan. The best quote of the night came from Safaree (Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, which I’ve never seen). Upon hearing there would be ten people in the house, he said, if there’s ten people and four of us, eight more are coming. I hope his day job isn’t in finance.

General Hospital

Josslyn knocks on Jason’s door, and he invites her in. She says, it’s late, and she hopes it’s okay that she’s here. He says, of course (🍷), and she says she just really needs to talk to someone. He asks if everything is okay, and she says she did something she really regrets and thinks he’s the only person who will understand.

Sam shows up at the hatchet range, where the festivities have wound down, and she tells Dante that she’s sorry she’s late. Something came up. Jason won’t listen to her, and Danny won’t listen to her either.

Anna asks if Dex is having second thoughts, and he says, about coming tonight? Maybe. It was really nice of Chase to invite him, but it might have been a mistake taking him up on it. She says, the cops got to him, didn’t they? and he says he tried to shrug it off, but yeah. He thinks they both might have underestimated how tough it’s going to be for him at the academy and the department, if he even gets in. She asks if he’s thinking of giving up.

Kristina shows up at TJ and Molly’s apartment, and Molly asks, what’s wrong?

In the nook, Tracy asks Lois what she thinks would happen if a piece of loot accidentally made it into the decorations bag, and Lois says, all hell would break loose. Liv and her labeling gene. She gets it from her grandmother. Old Mrs. Falconari used to label everything. She’s surprised this kitchen isn’t labeled. Refrigerator, fruit bowl, Tracy. They laugh, and Brook says, it can be a bit much sometimes, but how cute is it that she labeled Brook’s gifts loot. She thanks Lois again and says she was half-dreading her bridal shower-slash-bachelorette party and it turned out to be such a great night. Lois says, anything for her girl, and Tracy says, it was a great party. But some of her friends can’t hold their liquor. Brook says, not like you, huh granny? and Tracy says, on that note, she’s going to bed. They say goodnight and Tracy leaves. Brook says, tonight really was a blast. She just wants to call Chase and tell him all about it, but she doesn’t want to interrupt his party or wake him if he’s already home.

Finn and Chase approach Finn’s apartment, and Finn says, the sitter had to leave 20 minutes ago. He hopes dad and Violet are already asleep. Finn opens the door, and Violet runs to him, saying, he’s got to help grandpa. Gregory lies on the couch wearing an oxygen mask.

Jordan nearly gets a bullseye, and at a table, Sam tells Dante that she told Danny not to visit his father, and what does he do? Straight from school, he goes to see his father. She told Jason, please stay away from Danny, and he spends time with Danny anyway. Dante says, it’s frustrating, but maybe just take a breath. She does, and says, Jason seems like this stand-up, solid guy, but he broke her heart twice by falling off the face of the earth. The first time, she knows it wasn’t his choice, but the second time… She keeps asking him what happened, and he refuses to explain it to her. That’s hard enough for her as an adult to process that, but Danny is a kid, and he would be devastated if Jason disappeared again. Dante says, it’s a difficult situation. He’s not saying she’s doing anything wrong, but she doesn’t want Danny thinking he’s doing something wrong by wanting to have a relationship with his dad, right? She says, that’s not what she’s doing… is she?

Kristina tells Molly that she was at Brook’s bridal shower, and she was having a great time. Then Josslyn comes along and starts blatantly lying about her dad. Molly says, lying, and Kristina says, Josslyn was upset because she and Dex broke up and she blames Kristina’s dad. Of course (🍷), because she blames him for everything. Molly asks, what exactly did Josslyn say? and Kristina tells her, Josslyn said that her dad ordered Dex to kill Cyrus Renault when he was beaten up and in the hospital. Molly says, that is totally inappropriate for Josslyn to do, especially at Brook’s bridal shower, and Kristina says she knows. Molly says, but Sonny doesn’t have a reputation for no reason, and Kristina says she’s not naïve. She knows who her dad is. But to order Dex to kill Cyrus, a broken-down old man, when he’s in the hospital? He wouldn’t do that. There’s no way.

Josslyn tells Jason that she couldn’t help herself. She just came right out to Kristina and told her that her beloved father sent Dex to kill Cyrus. That shut her up quick. She drinks some water, and Jason tells her, drink the whole thing. She says she realizes he probably doesn’t know Dex, but she figured Jason had heard his name. Anyway, they’re very complicated. Jason says he and Dex haven’t met, but her mom told him a little bit about Dex. She asks if her mom told him that Dex risked his life protecting Sonny and then Sonny decided he was a traitor and turned on him. Dex is not the kind of guy who would kill someone for money, but Sonny had him so screwed up, he actually considered finishing killing a man that Sonny had already beaten half to death. He says, that’s Dex’s decision. Nobody else can make that for him. She says, it’s not Dex’s decision. It’s Sonny’s orders. And that’s been her problem with Kristina, because every time she sees Kristina, she’s out defending him or saying he can’t do anything wrong. She’s just sick of it. She can’t understand why Kristina can’t see him for what he really is. How could she be that blind? He says he thinks because most people want to see their parents in a good light, and maybe Josslyn isn’t seeing Sonny clearly right now.

Chase calls the paramedics and says his father has ALS. He’s having trouble breathing. They have a home ventilator and he’s awake, but he’s not moving. Finn asks Violet if she can tell him what happened, and Violet says, they were playing a game and that’s when he started breathing funny. He told her to go get his machine from his bedroom because he couldn’t get up. Finn says, she did great. He’s so proud of her. He tells Gregory that it’s going to be okay. He’s going to ask Gregory a few questions. If Gregory can hear him, blink once for yes, twice for no. Is he in any pain? Gregory blinks twice, and Finn says, good. He knew something was wrong and that’s why he had Violet go get his oxygen, right? Gregory blinks once, and Finn asks Violet if grandpa has been like this for a while, or did this just happen? Music is playing, and she says she thinks it’s been three songs. Is grandpa going to be okay? Finn says he knows she’s scared, but there’s nothing to be scared about. Grandpa’s going to be fine. This happens sometimes with people who have ALS. Chase says, she was so brave. Why didn’t she call her dad when she saw this happen? She says she was going to, but she got so busy helping grandpa with his machine, and Chase says, it’s okay. Finn asks if Gregory can move his arms or legs.

Brook tells Lois to put the seating chart away and go to sleep. She’s gone over it a million times. It’s perfect. Lois says, it was perfect until she found out Brook’s Cousin Angela and her Aunt Patty are fighting again. She has to separate the two of them. Otherwise, there will be a nasty, cake flinging incident, possibly anyway. That’s her story. Why is Brook still up? Brook says she’s just too excited. She’s going to have full-blown insomnia by the time the wedding comes. What was it like for Lois and her dad? Lois says, as Brook knows, she lives in a permanent state of excitement of course (🍷), but she was exactly like Brook. Although their situations were a little different. She loved her wedding, and she will always love Brook’s father, but – she sighs – their situation was different from Brook and Chase. Brook asks what she means, and Lois says, being truthful and keeping promises aren’t necessarily the Quartermaines strongest suits. Present company excluded of course (🍷). Brook says, of course (🍷), and Lois says, but Harrison Chase is a different story altogether. If she could have chosen the perfect husband for Brook – and she wanted to do that many times over the years – she would have picked a man exactly like Chase. He’s sweet and he’s gorgeous. He’s smart and he protects and serves. She doesn’t know if Brook has noticed yet or not, but he has this beautiful, nice beard going on that not every man can pull off. Brook says she’s noticed and agrees. The beard is so good. Brook hugs Lois, and Lois asks, what was that for? Brook says she loves Lois and she’s really glad Lois is here, and Lois says, her too.

Finn asks, how’s Violet? and Chase says, she’s scared, but she was also exhausted, and she went to sleep. How’s dad? Finn says, the ventilator is doing its job. Dad’s breathing is good. The paramedics will be here any minute. He tells Gregory to close his eyes and rest if he wants to. They’ve got him. Chase gestures for Finn to step aside with him and asks if dad is going to be admitted to the hospital. Finn says he doesn’t know, but he thinks so, and Chase wonders what they’re supposed to do. They can’t get married next week if dad is paralyzed in the hospital. Finn says, that’s really between him and Brook. Right now, all he can think about is getting dad the help he needs and trying to comfort Violet. Chase wonders, where the hell are these paramedics?

Josslyn asks if Jason thinks she’s a terrible person for saying what she said, but he says, no. She’s not a terrible person. She says she’s not so sure (me neither). Maybe her mom was right about her. He says, her mom is right about a lot of things, but not everything. What did she say? Josslyn says she went off about Sonny, and she went on about how she didn’t understand how her mom could possibly support him after everything. And her mom told her that all of this hatred she had for Sonny is just poisoning her, and all of this anger she has is just hurting her. He asks if Josslyn thinks she’s right, and she says she didn’t at the time, but after tonight, she thinks her mom has a point. She should have never said that to Kristina. And the look on her face. It just proved to Josslyn that she can also be very cruel sometimes. (No kidding. She can be like a mean girl.)

Dex says he knows the academy will be difficult, if he even gets in, and Anna says, come on. He knows he aced the test. He says he didn’t want to presume, and she tells him to go ahead and presume. How does he think he’ll do? He says he plans to work and train and study as hard as possible. He’ll do whatever it takes to graduate. He just hadn’t taken into account how much the other officers might have toward him because he worked for Sonny. There were officers tonight who would clearly turn their backs on him. They don’t want him to join their ranks. Anna says she’s sorry that happened, but he says he doesn’t blame them. Sonny is a mob boss and he protected him. The other cops are wondering what his angle is here. He was just in this position with Sonny, and he’s in no rush to put himself back in a position where he’s constantly suspected and being undermined by the people around him. She says, got it. Trust is very important on the force. Your life, quite literally, is in your partner’s hands. He says, so she agrees this is going to be a problem, and she says, yeah. He asks if she’s changed her mind about him joining the PCPD. Should he just give up and forget about it? She says, absolutely not. She never said becoming a cop was going to be easy, but it is certainly worth it.

Lois says, all fixed. There will be no cake flinging on her watch. Tracy comes in, ready for bed and looking at her phone. She says she was just looking at the photographs from the shower. Who knew that Willow could dance like that? She was always the shy one. Brook asks if no one is asleep in this house, and Tracy says she’s parched and needs to hydrate first. And Olivia said Ned was already in bed when they got home. Lois says, that doesn’t surprise her. Men don’t know how to have fun at a party without shooting something or setting it on fire. Brook says she’s so glad she’s a woman, and Tracy says she thinks she might need a glass of warm milk to help her sleep… or maybe a glass of schnaps. She picks up the bottle, and Brook says she doesn’t think schnaps is considered hydrating. Tracy says, yeah, but it’s considered really fun, when Lois’s phone chimes. Tracy wonders who that could be at this hour, and Lois says, it’s Chase. He says he’s been trying to reach Brook, but she hasn’t been answering her phone and he wants her to wake Brook up because he’s on his way over right now. Brook says, what? She left her phone upstairs. If he’s coming over this late, it must mean something’s really wrong.

One of the paramedics says, they’ll take it from here, and Chase says he’s going to wait and see what they say. Then he’s going to go talk to Brook. As the paramedics tend to him, Gregory says he’s getting his feeling back, and Finn tells him, be careful. Don’t push it. Gregory takes the mask off and says he’s okay. He doesn’t know what just happened, but it feels like it’s passing now. Chase says, that’s great, and Finn says he’s glad Gregory is feeling better, but the paramedics are going to take him to GH. He needs to be checked out. Gregory says, absolutely not. What is the ER doctor going to tell him that he doesn’t already know?

As Kristina eats ice cream, Molly asks if she’s feeling a bit better at least, but Kristina says, no. Honestly, she just keeps thinking about what Josslyn said, and it’s making her more and more upset. It’s common knowledge that her dad beat up Cyrus Renault on New Year’s Eve, but that was an extenuating circumstance and Cyrus is no angel. Molly says, Cyrus is definitely not a great guy, but Sonny shouldn’t have attacked him. Kristina says, of course (🍷) not. No one deserves that, not even Cyrus. She knows that. Molly says she’s glad, and Kristina says, but it was a really bad night for her dad. He’d just found out Nina had lied to him, and he was completely reeling from that, so Cyrus must have done or said something terrible to provoke her dad to attack him. And Cyrus clearly knows that because he’s not pressing charges. Molly says, that’s definitely a possibility, and Kristina says she knows her dad has a temper, but Josslyn’s not right about this. Her dad would never order Dex to kill Cyrus while he was in the hospital. He just wouldn’t do that. Molly knows that, right?

Drew tells Jordan that hatchet throws were invented in Canada by two friends who got really drunk and bet which of them would be better at it. She says, that sounds completely made up, but he says, it’s true, and gets out his phone. She sees a photo of Scout and says, that’s a cute picture. She’s adorable. Drew says he agrees. He’s biased, but she’s amazing. He loves her more than anything else in the world. Jordan asks if she can confess something, and he says, please do. Hatchet throwing is a safe space. She says she’s secretly hoping TJ and Molly’s baby is a girl because she wants to buy a ridiculous amount of dresses for her. He says he doesn’t want her to take this the wrong way, but he doesn’t see it, and she says, see what? He says, her as a grandmother. She’s way too young and vibrant for that word. She laughs and says, bless you.

Sam tells Dante that she knows that Danny was having problems before Jason came back, and she understands that happens with kids his age, but she was hoping things would get better. And now it’s like Danny can refuse to play by her rules because he has somewhere to go and someone to complain to about them. Dante asks if she thinks Jason would encourage that kind of thing, and she says, all she knows is, it’s too dangerous for Danny to be around his father right now. It’s why she and Jason broke up in the first place. She wanted to keep her kids physically and emotionally safe. She won’t allow the danger that follows Jason back into their life and their home.

Josslyn tells Jason that she wanted to say what she said to Kristina tonight for so long. It’s been on the tip of her tongue for months. But the second she said it and saw the look on Kristina’s face, she realized she’s not mad at Kristina. She’s mad at Sonny and he’s not going to listen to her, and he doesn’t care what she thinks. Jason says, Dex isn’t working for Sonny anymore, right? and she says, no. He’s going in the opposite direction and he’s becoming a cop. Jason says, Dex is becoming a cop, and Josslyn says, he applied to the PCPD academy. She knows she should just be happy for him and be happy he’s going legit and going to be on the right side of the law this time, but all she can think about is Sonny’s reaction. And she went to Anna and told her how angry Sonny’s going to be and to not let Dex into the academy, but Anna wouldn’t listen to her. He says, yeah. Sonny can definitely see Dex becoming a cop as a threat to him. She says, he absolutely will and she’s terrified. She still loves Dex and she’s going to grieve him for the rest of her life if Sonny has him killed.

Anna tells Dex that a similar thing happened to her recently when she was reinstated as Commissioner. Some of the officers weren’t all that happy with her past and they let her know it. They made comments and some work was slow washed. She has to say, it wasn’t pleasant. Dex says he had no idea. He’s sorry. She says, it’s not like she didn’t expect it. In all fairness, they had every reason to doubt her. He says, they all seem to respect her now. How did she get them to change their minds? She says she had to prove herself. She had to show them that she wanted the exact same thing they do, to protect and serve. And she shows them every single day. She has every confidence he’ll be able to do the same and he’ll succeed in winning over his fellow officers. He says he appreciates her faith, and she says she originally wanted him in her department because of what he knows about Sonny and his organization. But she has to say, she’s very impressed with his commitment, and now she just sees a good man who will make a great officer. He says, it really means a lot having her in his corner, and she says, unfortunately, it’s not going to do him any good when Detective Bennet gets ahold of him over at the police academy.

Finn says, look who woke up and wanted to see how much better Gregory was doing, and Violet runs to Gregory. She sits next to him, hugs him, and says she’s so glad he’s better. He says, thanks to her. She was so brave getting his machine for him and helping him put it on. She says she was really scared, and he says he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to frighten her. But she didn’t panic. She did everything exactly right. She should be so proud of herself for being such a smart girl. She says she loves him, and he says he loves her too, kissing the top of her head. Finn says he thinks it’s time for a certain young lady to get to bed, and Violet says, okay. She tells Gregory goodnight, and he says he’ll see her in the morning. She says goodnight to Finn and goes back to her room. Finn sits next to Gregory and asks if he’s feeling normal in his limbs. Gregory says he can’t let anything like this happen again. He won’t put Violet through that, and Finn says, she’s okay. She feels better now that she’s seen he’s better. Gregory says, maybe so, but he saw the panic in her eyes when they were alone. He’s just not going to be responsible for doing that to her again. Finn says, they’ll talk about it some more in the morning, and Gregory says, good. Where did Chase go?

Kristina tells Molly that her dad has done a lot of good, and she’s sick and tired of people constantly attacking him. Molly says, it’s just Josslyn. Kristina knows she hates Sonny. She and Josslyn have fought about her dad before. So the terrible things she said couldn’t have been that much of a surprise. Kristina says she guesses not, and Molly says, and Josslyn is not in a position of authority. All she can do is talk. She knows it’s hard, but try not to let Josslyn get to her so much. Kristina says she can’t. Josslyn went too far this time. Her dad protects his territory. He defends himself. He defends Port Charles. He doesn’t go after innocent people without provocation. That is not who her dad is.

Chase tells Tracy that his dad’s ALS symptoms have been getting worse, but this was by far the scariest health crisis. He tells Brook that he doesn’t see how he’s going to be able to officiate their wedding, and Brook says, that’s okay. They’ll figure out who else can do it and go from there. Lois says, the way she sees it, they have two options. They can find another officiant. She can call Father Tom at St. Anthony’s, see if he can fly up, or they can talk to the pastor here. Or they cancel the wedding… Tracy says, don’t be ridiculous. First of all, another officiant should be a last resort, and there will be no canceling of this wedding. They didn’t take Gregory to the hospital because they didn’t think it was necessary. He’s going to be fine the day of the wedding. And you can’t cut the man out of officiating at his own son’s wedding without talking to him first and getting his prognosis.

Jordan tells Drew that she didn’t know what to expect when she heard where this party was taking place, but she had fun tonight. He says, him too. He’s got to be honest; he was kind of dreading coming to a bachelor party because it’s not where his head is right now. But it is kind of fun to remember the nice perks of love and celebrate that. Jordan says, Chase is so happy. He practically glows when he talks about Brook. Drew says, she’s the same way when she talks about him. He can genuinely appreciate the reminder of the excitement that happens in a relationship before somebody gets their heart broken. She says, he was so close to saying something positive. She knows it’s hard right now, but he’ll get there eventually.

Dante tells Sam that he thinks he can understand a little bit about where Danny’s coming from, growing up without a dad. He had uncles and they all tried to do dad stuff with him, but it wasn’t the same. Then all he wanted was to know his dad and have his dad know him and be proud of him. Sam says she’s glad he and Sonny were able to make up for lost time, but the situations just aren’t the same. (Oh, really? Don’t we keep hearing how dangerous Sonny is?) He says, that may be the case, but Danny’s not a kid anymore. He’s going to form his own opinion about Jason. Unless she thinks Jason would manipulate Danny. She says, Jason is a lot of things, but manipulative isn’t one of them.

Jason tells Josslyn that he’s not close to Sonny anymore and can’t predict what he’s going to do. She thanks him for not telling her that she’s being too hard on Sonny, that she should be grateful for Sonny, and he thinks of her like his own daughter. Because if she hears that anymore, she’s going to scream. He says, she gets to feel what she feels, and she asks how he feels. Doesn’t it hurt him at how quickly Sonny was to believe he was the one who shot Dante? Does Jason hate Sonny for turning on him so quickly? Jason says, no, he doesn’t hate Sonny, and she says, that’s what she doesn’t understand. Because he treated Jason so badly and he should have known Jason wouldn’t hurt Dante. And Sonny’s always preaching about loyalty, yet he showed no loyalty to Jason. Doesn’t that make him angry? Jason says, Sonny’s never been a perfect person, but he’s changed. How he’s acting right now isn’t how he would have acted before. (Yeah, good point. Since this has happened at least twice before that I recall, how come nobody is immediately thinking about Sonny’s mental health?)

Brook says, they all want the wedding to go on as planned, but they have to be ready to adjust. So she’ll call the florist and the caterers in the morning and see what their options are in case Chase’s dad is too sick and they have to cancel the wedding. Lois says she can help, and Chase thanks her. He knows this is the last thing they were expecting tonight. Brook says, him either, when Tracy’s phone rings. She says, it’s Gregory, and asks if he’s all right. He says he is. He had a little episode earlier tonight, but he’s okay now. She says she’s so glad to hear that, and he thanks her. He says he knows his son is there, and she says, he’s right here. Does Gregory want to talk to him? Gregory says, actually, no. He wants her to tell Chase something for him. She says, okay, and he says he’s sure Chase and Brook are thinking about canceling the wedding – Finn listens in – but he wants her to tell them that he won’t stand for it.

Kristina tells Molly that she realizes her dad has been off lately, but that’s only because he’s so heartbroken about Nina. And he’s still trying to wrap his head around Jason coming back and the way Jason came back. It was so strange. And on top of that, he has Ava living in his penthouse saying God knows what to him. Molly says she’s sure it helps to have Kristina. He knows how much she loves and supports him. Kristina says, thanks. She hopes so. She gets up and says she needs to get home, take off this makeup, and take these shoes off. She’s going to put her feet up and maybe listen to those Tibetan temple bells Molly sent her. They’re surprisingly relaxing. Molly says, Mozart and Bach are good too, played at a very low volume, but Kristina says she’s going to stick to the bells. She thanks Molly and they hug. Kristina says she loves Molly so much and thanks Molly for being there for her.

Gregory tells Tracy that he refuses to let his illness derail their plans. There will be no cancelation of the wedding and there will be no replacing him either. He’s going to be fine that day if it kills him. And that’s not a joke. Standing in the doorway, Finn smiles, and Tracy tells the others, Gregory says, the wedding will go on as planned with him officiating. He is a grown man, and he knows his body and he knows what he can handle. You’re to stop treating him like a child. It’s disrespectful. Let him make his own decisions. She steps away and lowers her voice, telling Gregory that she embellished a little to make it sound better. He says he appreciates that. He plans to be on that altar marrying Chase and Brook. And if, God forbid, he has another episode, someone – Tracy perhaps – can go up there and read the pages he’s written. But everything is going to be fine that day and no one is going to be happier than him to watch his son and her granddaughter get married. Tracy says, okay, and tells Chase that he and Finn are their father’s greatest achievements. He’s been looking forward to this wedding since the day Chase proposed to Brook. He would be devastated if he were not there to officiate. So he’s ready and he can handle anything that happens with our help. So you’re to honor his wishes because that’s the way it should be. If you love him, you’ll listen to him. She tells Gregory, done, and he thanks her. Finn puts his hand on Gregory’s shoulder.

Anna asks if Dex is going to give up on becoming a cop because of an uncomfortable night, and he says, not a chance. She says, good. What he’s setting out to do is important. Society needs police officers for a reason, to have safe and livable neighborhoods and cities. It’s an important job. There are always going to be a few bullies no matter how hard they try to get rid of them, but he can’t let them get to him. He says he’ll do his best, and she says, that’s all she can ask. She thinks he’s going to prove to himself what kind of a person he is, and he’s going to do the same to the other officers. She tells him goodnight and leaves.

Drew says, the night really flew by, and asks if he can walk Jordan out. She says her Ride Share is almost here, and he knows she was a cop. She can take care of herself. He says he knows. That’s why he wants her protection. It can be dangerous out there at night. She says, come on, and they leave.

Sam tells Dante, it’s Jason’s openness and honesty that make him so approachable, but such a big threat at the same time. He’s cool. Jason gets it. Dante says, and that stings a little bit? and she says, yes. Of course (🍷) it does. She doesn’t want to not be the cool parent. She wants to be the fun parent, but no. She’s got to tell Danny that he’s got to do his homework and clean up his room. Dante says, that’s like a normal parent/child relationship. The parent sets the boundaries, and the teenager tests them. She says she knows, but Jason has no real experience at being Danny’s father. He doesn’t know what Danny needs yet. And the more time they spend together, she can feel Danny pulling back from her and she doesn’t want to lose her son. He says, she’s not going to lose her son. She and Danny are having a rough patch right now, that’s it. Danny loves her and he’s always going to love her. That’s not going to change. She takes his hand and says, promise? and he says, yeah. He promises. She says, okay. She’s going to choose to believe him… at least for tonight. He says, that’s good, and suggests they get out of here.

Jason says he’s going to get Josslyn back to the dorm, and she thanks him. She says she’s not going to get any sleep though. Every time she closes her eyes, she has this nightmare that she finds Dex, dead, and Sonny standing over him holding a gun, smiling. He says, nightmares are the worst, and she says, it’s all her fault. She should have never followed Dex when he left Port Charles. She should have just let him go, because then he’d be safe, and he’d be out of Sonny’s reach. Jason says he might not know Dex, but he knows her. And the fact that she cares about Dex this much, tells him that Dex is a good guy. So he’s going to make her a promise. He’s not going to let Sonny kill Dex. He’s going to watch. He’s going to listen. He’s going to keep a close eye on Sonny. He knows what to look for and he’s not going to let it happen. He will keep Dex safe. So she can get some sleep. She thanks him, and says, that’s not why she came here. Or maybe it was. Just, thank you. She hugs him.

Tomorrow, Ava tells Laura that spending time with Ace is someone’s way of clinging to the past (probably Heather); Molly tells TJ that this one isn’t their problem, it’s all Kristina; and Nina says she and Drew really were made for each other.

Congrats to these two. Robert Gossett has it tough, being up against Dick Van Dyke, who is nearly 100 years old. Awards committees do have a tendency to give the You-made-it-this-long Award over who should actually get it. I love Marshall’s scenes. He often makes me feel like I’m watching a play.

General Hospital

Ava says she and Sonny have settled everything with Avery for now, so what business do they have? He says, they’re on the same page when it comes to their daughter, and she says, what then? He says he has a proposition for her.

Sheridan says he appreciates the support of Michael’s family with the campaign, and Michael says he thinks Sheridan has done a terrific job as the DA of Lantano County. He’s proven to be relentless in his pursuit of justice, and Michael thinks the right case could catapult him to the state’s Attorney General’s office. Sheridan says, it’s an unusual case; the kind that generates headlines, and defines careers. He’ll let Michael know as soon as it’s in motion. They shake hands, and Willow walks in.

At the courthouse, Nikolas asks Doc if he happened to see Ava on his way in, but he says he didn’t. He did talk to Nikolas’s mother about Spencer’s hearing, and Nikolas asks if she’s on her way home. Doc says, unfortunately, she can’t get away just yet, but she was clear how she feels about what should happen today.

Diaz says they’re about to get started, and she needs to know Spencer’s plea. Josslyn and Cameron walk in, and Esme says, come on, Spence. They’ve been over this. Spencer says he wants to make sure he’s dealing with the right information here. If he pleads guilty, or no contest, the judge will ask if anyone is forcing him to make the plea, correct? Diaz says, strictly pro forma. They want to make sure he understands the situation. She’s sorry, but she has dozens of other cases to handle today, so what’s his plea? Josslyn tells Spencer to wait a minute before he answers that. Is he sure someone isn’t pressuring him to do the wrong thing?

Robert walks into an interrogation room where Victor is waiting, and says, so, we meet again. Victor tells Robert that he has nothing to say to him, and Robert says he’ll do him one better. He’s sick of being lied to, so everything that comes out of Victor’s mouth better be gospel. Victor says, or else? and Robert says, or else Victor Cassadine is going to be put to rest in an unmarked grave. And he’s going to do it personally.

Anna sits by Valentin’s bed, when a doctor comes in. Anna thinks he looks better than he did a few hours ago; he has more color in his face. Can the doctor give her any good news? The doctor wishes she could.

Sam tells Dante, the island’s not that big; Peter couldn’t have gone far. He says, especially with two hostages, and she says, no sign of Drew or Obrecht? What are they supposed to tell everyone back in Port Charles who’s waiting for news? Britt and Jason walk in, and Jason thanks Sam for telling him where to meet them. Britt says, Anna was right about this place; it’s really isolated. When they got on the plane last night, Anna still didn’t know where her mother was. Any word? Dante is afraid not. He says they were with the local police most of the night, trying to figure out a trail where Peter might have gone, but they have nothing. Sam says, they did see the cell where Britt’s mother was being held. Dante says, there was a syringe in the cell. It was empty, but it had traces of flunitrazepam. Britt says, that’s a sedative. It results in muscle weakness, lethargy, confusion. Basically, there’s a chance her mother was roofied. Jason says, that’s the best possible news she can get. Wow. This tavern has gotten more business in a week than they’ve probably had in the last five years altogether.

Victor tells Robert, he’ll cooperate, but first, he needs to know how Valentin is. Robert says, Valentin’s alive, last he heard, and Victor says, and Liesl? Robert says, come on. Victor doesn’t care about anyone but himself; they all know that. This love of the common man, where did it come from? When it was nipping at his butt as he was running away? He will say Victor’s been a busy boy. He got more done in death than the average person achieves in a lifetime. Sanctuary for Peter August, unlawful detainment of Drew Cain and Liesl Obrecht, and that poor little nurse who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. And last, but not least, the abduction of Valentin Cassadine. And all of this, after he blew up Creighton-Clark. Viccy, come on. Explain yourself. Victor says, when Robert lays it all out like that, he has to say he’s very impressed. How on earth did he mange to do all that?

Anna says, what does the doctor mean, she can’t give her any good news? He has two young daughters waiting for him back in the states. The doctor says, the surgery didn’t go as well as they’d hoped. The bullet fragmented, and they weren’t able to remove all the debris. Anna says she’s heard of bullet fragments being left in the body before, and they’re fine as long as they don’t migrate or infringe on a nerve. She’s sorry; her daughter’s a doctor. She guesses the doctor is concerned about infection, and the doctor says she recommends Valentin undergo exploratory surgery in the US. Their facilities aren’t equipped to handle surgeries that delicate. Anna thanks her, and she leaves. Anna tells Valentin that he may have been born there in Greece, but she’ll be damned if she’ll let him die there.

Willow says she hopes she’s not interrupting, and Michael says he didn’t expect her back so soon. He must have lost track of time. He introduces Richard Sheridan, the DA of Lantano County, and tells Sheridan that Willow is his son’s mother. Willow shakes Sheridan’s hand, and says, Lantano County. In Pennsylvania? Sheridan says, that’s right, and she asks, what brings him all this way? He says he’s gearing up to run for state Attorney General. Michael has taken an interest in his platform. They share similar values. Willow asks what those values would be, and Michael says he’s sure Sheridan is anxious to get back to Llanview, and thanks Sheridan for coming all this way. Michael walks him to the door, and when he comes back, she asks, which of his values would make a politician drive to the next state?

Ava tells Sonny, that is quite an interesting proposition, and if the price is right… His phone rings, and he says he’ll be right back. Nina approaches Ava, who tells her, don’t worry. She didn’t tell Sonny about Nina’s romance with Mike. He was very receptive to her spending more time with Avery, and she didn’t need to use any more persuasive tactics. Nina appreciates that, and to return that favor, Ava has a problem, and Nina would love to offer her a solution.

Spencer says, his father decided to raise the stakes, and Cameron asks, what’s that mean? Spencer says, Ava is in control of his trust fund. If he accepts their marriage, and agrees to live by their rules, his father and Ava will make the charges go away, but Ava is still in charge of his money. Josslyn says, Ava’s not her favorite person either, and she’d hate living by Ava’s rules, and knowing that Ava had control over her money, but she didn’t stalk Ava and she’s not facing criminal charges. If giving in to his dad and Ava is what it takes for them to help him, that’s what he should do. Spencer tells her, that’s what Esme was saying, and Cameron says, for once, they all agree.

Nikolas says, if Doc is telling him that his mother is too busy to attend Spencer’s arraignment, he’s disappointed, but he understands, but she’s honestly too busy to even call him? Doc says he can’t speak to Laura’s exact schedule, but they did talk about Spencer’s behavior. And Nikolas’s. Nikolas says, his behavior? This is about Spencer stalking Ava. Doc says, Laura doesn’t condone what Spencer did, or what drove him to that point. The bailiff calls for everyone to take their seats, and Doc says, shall we?  

Esme tells Josslyn and Cameron that she’s sure they realize what a stubborn streak Spencer has. She hopes their opinions convinced him to make the right choice. Josslyn asks if Esme doesn’t think, as Spencer’s girlfriend, she carries more weight, but Esme says Josslyn is giving her too much credit. They’ve known Spencer since they were kids, much longer than she has, and Spence is very much his own person, and likes to go his own way. The bailiff says, all rise.  

Ava says, Nina wants to buy Charlie’s? and Nina asks if she hasn’t been trying to sell it. Ava says, when she was leaving town because of the stalker, yes, and Nina says she has a great use for it. It’s a win-win. Ava says her situation has changed, and Nina wonders if Ava wants to hang onto it for sentimental reasons because it belonged to her brother. Ava says, it’s not that, when Sonny comes back. He asks if he and Ava are finished; he doesn’t have all day. Ava says, what do they say about great minds thinking alike, and he asks what she means. She says, they have to pause their negotiations, and he says, now she’s going to keep Charlie’s? She says, it’s still for sale, but another buyer is showing interest. May the deepest pockets win.

Michael says, it’s always a good idea to have people in office who owe you favors, and Willow says, if it were the DA from New York state, she wouldn’t question anything. But Lantano County is in Pennsylvania, so what does that have to do with ELQ? He says, nothing; it’s purely personal, in a family member’s best interest. She tells him to stop being vague. Who is he talking about? He says, Sheridan is looking for a high profile case, and he just handed him one. He suggested Sheridan prosecute Nina for fraud and identity theft. I’m not sure if the latter would be an issue here though, since it’s not like she stole Sonny’s identity.

Robert says, Victor thinks this is some kind of a joke, doesn’t he? The charges he’s facing are false imprisonment, criminal conspiracy, bribery, not to mention the body count. Victor asks what he wants, and Robert says, Peter August. He wants to know where Peter is, and when Victor worked with him. Victor says he’s not working with Peter, and Robert says, he found Peter a place to hide, didn’t he? Victor says, yes, and he gave Peter money and transportation, but it wasn’t his choice; he was forced to do Peter’s bidding. Robert asks what kind of leverage Peter has, and Victor says he answered one of Robert’s questions out of good faith. It’s time to begin negotiations. 

Britt asks Jason, why is it good news that her mother was drugged? and he says, that probably means Peter’s keeping her alive. Britt says, why go to the trouble of drugging someone when you can just as easily kill them? It’s not exactly a beacon of hope, but it’s better than nothing. Sam asks if she can talk to Jason in private, and they go to a table. She says she has some news about Drew, and he says, Anna called already. She said Drew had been shot two or three times, fell off the bridge and into the ocean, and his body hasn’t been recovered. Sam says, the WSB is searching, but they’re pretty certain they won’t find him alive.

Nina asks if Ava is saying she and Sonny want the same thing, and Ava says, in a manner of speaking. Sonny made her an offer to buy Charlie’s minutes before Nina did. Like she said, she’ll accept the highest offer. Maybe the two of them should talk this over, one on one. Ava walks away, and Nina asks why Sonny wants to buy Charlie’s. He asks why she does, and she says, for Phyllis, to give her a fresh start. And him? He says, same thing. Phyllis took in a stranger and saved his life; pretty much the opposite of what Nina did. Nina tells him that she can never say she’s sorry enough, but as for Phyllis, if she moved there, and ran Charlie’s, Nina thinks it would be really good for her. Sonny agrees, and says, one of them is going to have to bow out. Nina says, allow her. If Phyllis accepts generosity, she’s more inclined to accept it from Sonny. When he offers Charlie’s to Phyllis, if she likes the idea, Nina will give him half of the money, provided he never tells her.  

Willow says, she and Michael talked about this yesterday. She thought they’d agreed to hit the pause button where Nina was concerned. He said he woudn’t make any decisions without her. He says he hasn’t filed any legal action against Nina, and hasn’t denied her visitation with Wiley. If he went to family court, of course (🍷) he’d consult her. He wouldn’t move forward with her agreeing to anything. She says, so he went to the DA from Pennsylvania instead, and he says, yes, because he wants Sheridan to go after Nina for what she actually did. He doesn’t want Wiley’s custody to be a battleground. He doesn’t want to deny Nina visitation to punish her; he wants her punished for the crimes she committed, fraud and identity theft. She lied to his dad for nine months about who he was. She kept him from his family and his life. It has to be illegal and he’s hoping Sheridan can prove it in court.

Robert asks what Victor means by negotiations, and Victor says, it’s a classic quid pro quo. The WSB can’t get Peter without his help, and he’s not about to give them his help without something in return; his freedom. Robert says, the WSB isn’t going to let Victor off the hook for the crimes he did in the last seven minutes, much less the last seven years, and Victor says, he’s the former director of the Bureau. The WSB has a reputation to maintain. Prosecuting one of their own wouldn’t look very good, would it? Robert wouldn’t bet the farm on it, and Victor suggests they do a cost benefit analysis. Prosecuting him versus getting Peter. He’d say it’s a bit of a no-brainer. Peter is their priority. He’s the one who’s unstable. He’s dangerous, and has access to Faison’s bag of dirty tricks. Robert still has some pull at the Bureau, and Victor suggests Robert convince them to make a deal. Robert says he doesn’t take orders from a Cassadine, and Victor says, his goal is to catch the big bad wolf, the man who kidnapped Drew Cain, and could still terrorize Maxie and her little girl. Robert can throw the book him or stop Peter, but he can’t do both.

Anna says Robert doesn’t think Valentin is much of a hero, but she disagrees. He doesn’t fit the conventional mold. He’s very flawed, self-serving, and definitely compromised, but he does have the courage to face up to what he’s done, and try to be better. He’s certainly tried to turn his life around for himself and his daughters. She thinks that’s very heroic in her book, that kind of courage. Her phone rings, and she says, it’s her darling ex-husband. She’ll be right back. She kisses Valentin’s hand, and says, he can count on that.

Britt asks if Dante thinks Victor created the fake medical conference, and arranged to have Scotty thrown from the plane. Dante says, he didn’t go into detail, but he’s definitely the reason for her mother being there. She says, for what? And don’t say Victor is infatuated with her mother. Maybe he is, but there has to be another agenda. Dante says, he doesn’t know, but when Victor thought her mother was in danger, he seemed genuinely concerned.

Sam tells Jason, someone called her claiming to be Drew. She went back and forth, thinking, maybe he’s alive, but then, it could be some sort of manipulation. He says, she was just  being cautious, and she says, being cautious meant she couldn’t involve him. Maybe if she had, he could have intervened, and Peter wouldn’t have shot Drew.

The judge asks if Spencer understands his rights under the New York state constitution and law, and he says he does. She asks how he pleads, when Ava walks in. The judge says she’s waiting for his answer, and Esme asks Cameron, what is he doing? Spencer says, not guilty.

Anna goes to the interrogation room, and says she got Robert’s text. What’s so important? She was with Valentin. Victor asks how Valentin is, and she says, he’s hanging in. Robert says, this clown needs to talk to someone above his pay scale, and she says, her? Victor says, always pleasure, mate, and Robert leaves. Anna asks what this is about, and Victor says, Peter August. The WSB wants him, and he can make that happen. She says, in exchange for what exactly? and he says, blanket immunity. She says, that’s a bit of a tall order, and he says, tall maybe, but not impossible. They’re already making better progress than he was with Robert. She says she’s far from the final say, and he says, that may be, but at least she’s willing to look at options. Robert said the WSB would refuse to overlook his transgressions. He thinks that was naïve, but Anna doesn’t agree. He has a rather extensive rap sheet. What makes him think she’s going to be more amenable to his offer?   

Britt asks Dante, if Victor is still infatuated, why put her mother in a prison cell? Does Dante think it was punishment for her trying to kill Peter, and if so, why would Victor care? Dante says, those are all questions the WSB doesn’t have answers to. They don’t even know why Victor and Peter were working together in the first place, or how Drew fits into this puzzle.  

Sam tells Jason, when she went into Drew’s cell, she saw he’d scratched Scout’s name in the wall. She hopes that means he had enough strength to resist the conditioning. He says, she thinks Drew’s being conditioned? and she tells him, that’s what Victor said. She doesn’t know whether he’s telling the truth or not, but she does know Drew was able to shoot a guard to save Victor and Valentin, although he wasn’t able to save himself. Jason says, unless or until they find Drew’s body, there’s still a chance Drew is alive.

Valentin wakes up with Robert sitting in his room. Robert asks if he’s awake, and Valentin says, this can’t be a dream, because Robert sure as hell wouldn’t be in it. Robert laughs and says he’ll round up a doctor, and Valentin asks, where’s Anna? Robert says, talking to Valentin’s poor excuse for an uncle, or should he say father? He’s trying to cut himself a deal, but Valentin isn’t going to let that happen, is he?

The judge says, although the defendant has no prior arrests, he has lived abroad extensively, and has access to significant financial resources. The state’s concern about him being a flight risk is valid. She orders the defendant to surrender his passport, and bail is set $20K, with a pretrial in six weeks from today. Spencer looks at Esme, who shakes her head, and he says, if he doesn’t post bail, will he have to go to jail? Doc says, it won’t come to that. He and Laura will post Spencer’s bail. Spencer thanks him, and hugs Esme. She says she doesn’t get it. Why didn’t he do what they all advised him to do? They step away, and Spencer says, he was about to. He’s made a lot of bad decisions by not following his gut. His gut told him that if he went along with Ava on this, it will never end. Ava and Spencer look at each other.

Willow says, so Michael’s campaign contribution is basically a bribe, to get the DA to go after Nina? He says, campaign contributions are completely legal, and Nina is the one who committed a crime. And it wasn’t victimless crime either. He didn’t tell Willow this, but his mom put her life on the line to step into his father’s business. And what about Sonny’s children? He, Dante, and Kristina are all adults, and Josslyn has Jax, but what about Donna and Avery? Avery’s old enough to understand loss, and Donna is so confused. They didn’t have their father for nine months. Willow says she knows that, and he says, and his father’s business got messed up, which in turn put more people’s lives at risk. She asks who he’s trying to convince that he’s doing the right thing; him or her?  He says she may not agree with his methods, but he has no regrets about making Nina pay for her actions. She says, what about his actions? He asks what she’s talking about, and she says, on the one hand, he won’t cut Nina off from seeing Wiley, but he has to know that if Nina is facing criminal charges, it will affect potential visitation going forward. He says, if Nina faces those consequences as a result of what she did to his father, so be it.

Sonny thinks keeping it a secret from Phyllis doesn’t seem like a good idea, and Nina says, she’s learned what secrets can do. She says, she genuinely wants to help Phyllis, but doesn’t want it to be misinterpreted as buying back her friendship. He says he doesn’t need her help financially to buy Charlies, and even if she’s giving it with good intentions, it’s like they’ll be too connected. She says, that’s the last thing he wants. She has to say, she’s been waiting with a fair amount of dread to have Carly to tear into her for their relationship in Nixon Falls, but she hasn’t  

Nina says she had a run in with Carly at the Quartermaines’, and Carly went for her jugular, but never said a word about her tricking Sonny into loving her. She sits, and says, Carly still hasn’t. She just assumes Carly doesn’t know? He sits, and says, let him tell her something. He and Carly are rebuilding their life together after nine months apart. Why make it worse after what she did? Nina says, let her tell him something. Carly will never find out about it from her.

Victor says, Anna finally has the opportunity to stop her wayward nephew, and bring closure to countless people. Be smart; that’s all that matters here. Don’t let the pettiness of the past get in her way. She says, she wouldn’t call what he did to Robin petty. He stole years of Robin’s life. He says he’s not trying to minimize what he’s done; he’s made mistakes, huge mistakes. But they both know life isn’t black and white; it’s all shades of grey. She has every right to be angry about what happened to her daughter at Creighton-Clark, but ultimately, Robin walked away unscathed. Can they really say the same for anyone who will get in Peter’s way? She says, she might have more leverage with the WSB than Robert… sometimes. But he needs to understand, his fate doesn’t lie in her hands. He says, it might as well. He knows her stock has fallen with the WSB in recent years, but she still has friends in high places. If she has any favors outstanding, he suggests she call them in. Make his case, or the blood that Peter continues to shed will be on her hands. She says she’s got to go, and he tells her to give his best to his son.

Esme says Doc is a genuine lifesaver. She was afraid Spencer would have to stay in jail. Doc says, if he’s not mistaken, Spencer will need a permanent home address to show stability? and Diaz says, that’s correct. He says, that settles it. Spencer will move back in with him. Esme says, that works for her, and Doc asks Spencer for a word in private. Josslyn says, they’ll be out in the hall, and they all leave. Spencer says, he’s a lot of things, but not naïve. He and Laura are going to post the money for his bail. What’s the catch?

Esme sees Ava in the hall, and says she wants Ava to know how much it means to her that Ava offered Spencer a way out. His pride temporarily got in the way of him accepting it, but she’ll talk to him. Ava tells her, please try to talk some sense into him. And whatever she does, don’t let Spencer drag her into any more bad behavior. Esme says never. She should have stood up to him. From now on, she will.

Anna says, thank God Valentin’s awake, and Robert says, surprise him. Do the right thing. Robert tells Anna, see ya, and leaves. Anna says Valentin gave her wuite… He gave all of them quite a scare. She offers to call Brook, but he says, not yet. She asks if he doesn’t want his daughter to know he’s awake (like a baby would comprehend this), but he says, not until he talks to her. Whatever Victor’s asking for, don’t give it to him.

Sam says she had to tell Jason what she knows about Drew, and Dante asks how he took it. She says, it was okay. She told him that she felt the need to investigate before she said anything to him. Dante says, until they find Drew’s body, there’s a chance he survived, and she says, Jason said the same thing. She just doesn’t know what there’s left here for her to do. She can stay and see if anything comes through, or she can go home to her kids because they come first. He says, maybe she should do that. She tried to bring Scout’s father back, but now it’s time to be with Scout and Danny.

Britt says, sorry about Jason’s brother, and he says, thanks. They weren’t close, but Drew was important to Monica, and he’s thinking about her. She says, he’s not thinking how her crazy brother shot his? but he says she’s not responsible for anything Peter does. She says, still, he’s there helping her find her mother, who’s committed her own fair share of crimes. She wouldn’t blame him if he changed his mind and wanted to go home. He says, they have a job to do. He’s not going anywhere.

Esme tells Josslyn and Cameron, at least they can all agree they want what’s best for Spence. Maybe now they can see she has his best interests at heart. Maybe they can all be friends after all.

Spencer says he’s sorry. He should be thanking Doc for posting his bail money. He wasn’t looking forward to spending another night in jail. Doc says, he and Spencer’s grandmother are happy to help, but it comes with limitations. If Spencer wants their support, he has to earn it. Spencer says, earn it how? and Doc says, they have a few ideas. Starting with Spencer getting a job.

Ava says, that was unexpected, and Nikolas says, leave it to his son to zig when they wanted him to zag. She says she can handle him not accepting the deal, but what bothered her most was the look on his face when he entered his plea… that this is far from over.

Robert tells Victor, he spoke to Anna, and she’s not going to help him. Victor says, if Robert says so, and Robert says, he doesn’t have any control over what the WSB decides to do, but Victor doesn’t have him fooled. The world was a much better place when Victor was dead. Victor says, he’s feeling a bit parched. Why doesn’t Robert make himself useful, and fetch him some water. He’d prefer sparkling.

Valentin says, whatever Victor is proposing, it’s a trap, and Anna says, she knows that, obviously. They have no way of knowing what he’s been up to in the past few years, but what choice do they have? Peter has to be stopped. For Drew, for Obrecht, most certainly for Maxie. Victor knows where he is; she senses it. This is their best chance. Valentin gets agitated, and Anna tries to calm him. He says, they can’t involve Victor. They’ve come close to getting Peter before. He’ll do it again.

Sam tells Dante, if there’s bad news about Drew, she’d rather be at home with her kids. He says, that make sense. He’ll go arrange their flights back. She says he doesn’t have to come with her, and he says he knows. He wants to.   

Jason tells Britt, to pick up Peter’s trail, they have to retrace his steps. She asks where they start, and he says, the last place her mother was seen; her prison cell.

Willow tells Michael, Wiley’s all set. Now they can finish their conversation. He says, it’s not over? and she says, not for her. What he’s doing seems cold and calculating. He says he gave Nina chance after chance. Even after that meltdown at his father’s funeral, he still gave her the opportunity to visit Wiley, and what does she do? She brings up Nelle, making Wiley doubt that Willow is his real mother. And even after that, he gave her another chance, and how does she thank them? By lying. By keeping the knowledge that his father was alive, and for what? To punish his mother? She says she can’t deny anything he’s saying. It’s just that, what does he thinks is going to happen to Nina? He says, that’s up to the DA Sheridan, but if she’s asking him, he thinks Nina needs to be held accountable.

Nina says, she guesses that concludes her and Sonny’s business. He’ll buy Charlie’s, and she won’t be involved, financially or otherwise. And Carly won’t have to know how much it… progressed in Nixon Falls. He says, correct, and she says she hopes Phyllis stays in Port Charles. She considers Phyllis her family, and she wants to earn back the trust of those people she loves. A couple of cops come in, and one says, Nina Reeves? She says she’s Nina Reeves. Is there a problem? He says she’s under arrest for identity fraud.

One: I’ll say it again, not sure about the identity fraud thing, and two: it doesn’t happen that fast, even for a DA. He didn’t even have time to get back to PA and fill out the paperwork.

On Monday, Valentin asks what Anna has to say to him, Sasha thinks it not a bad idea, Michael asks if Jax wants to make things right, and Carly says, if that’s not a crime, she doesn’t know what is.
