(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)
General Hospital
Willow tells Elizabeth that she’s officially back at GH, and Elizabeth says she’s excited to have her best nurse back. She’ll feel better now that Willow is on Lulu’s rotation. Willow asks how Lulu is doing, but Elizabeth says, not well. But she’s hopeful it’s just a matter of time before Lucky comes home to save his sister.
Ava finds Trina at the gallery, and Trina asks how she is. Ava hasn’t returned her calls. She heard what John did. It must have been terrifying. Ava says, thank God for Jason. He saved her. Trina hugs her and says she’s happy Ava is safe. She doesn’t know what she’d do if anything happened to her.
Ric is working while having coffee at the MetroCourt, and Nina asks if he needs refill. Or can she tempt him with something stronger?
Anna goes into Isaiah’s room, and he asks if there’s any word on Lucky. She says, unfortunately not, but she has some questions she’d like to ask him. He says he’s told them everything, but she says she thinks there’s probably more than what he told them. What has he done to make someone want to kill him?
Jack tells Carly that they’ll inform him if the satellite finds anything on Lucky. For now, they wait, which allows them to enjoy this fine whiskey. He pours, and she says, he comes prepared. He says, always. He understands John Cates was murdered, and she’s not crying any tears over his untimely demise. She says, he made her life hell, and he says, with Cates gone, her life just got less complicated, but she says, yes and no. Her ex-husband is a person of interest in his murder.
Molly finds Alexis in the interrogation room and hugs her. Alexis says she didn’t want Molly to worry. Diane is taking care of it. It’s a misunderstanding, but none of this would have happened if Molly’s father hadn’t gone out of his way to make her look as suspicious as possible.
Ava says, at least she has an airtight alibi. It’s the only decent thing John did. She can’t believe she was so wrong. He got her to lie to the cops, saying Kristina attacked her, but afterward, he wanted her dead so she couldn’t recant. Trina says, she was brave to admit she was lying. It could be used against her in Avery’s custody case. Ava says she couldn’t let Kristina be prosecuted for the death of her baby. It was truly an accident. Trina says she hopes Ava fond a good lawyer, and Ava says, not yet, but Nina is working on it.
Ric says he’ll stick to coffee, and Nina sits down. He asks if she’d like to join him. He’s actually working. She says she’s here to discuss business – Ava – and he reminds her that he declined. She says she’s surprised, and he says, she’s accused of causing the death of his granddaughter. Why should he help her? Nina says, it was a tragic accident. And they both know he’d do anything for buck, even trick someone into marrying him.
Isaiah says he told Anna everything. He escaped and Sidwell tracked him. Anna asks if he has any other enemies, and he says, none that he knows of. She says, so dumb luck. He’s a doctor? He says he’s the best at what he does, and she says, there are a lot of great doctors out there, but Sidwell picked him to kidnap? He says, not greater than him, and she says, his God complex aside, why would Sidwell go to the trouble of sending someone after him to Port Charles? He says, she’ll have to ask him, and she says, maybe he saw something he shouldn’t have. He says, there were a lot of guys with guns, and she says, could anything else in his life have precipitated this attack? What was he doing before Sidwell kidnapped him?
Jack says he assumes Carly is talking about Sonny. The murder of a federal agent is a capital crime. He hopes Sonny has a good alibi. She says, ironclad. They were together, just the two of them. He knows how it is with exes. Sometimes you fall back into old habits. He says, so he’s heard. He only knows Sonny from his reputation. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but if she’s willing to reconnect with him, it speaks well of Sonny… and of her.
Molly asks if Alexis is blaming her dad, and Alexis says, he told the police she disposed of a possible murder weapon. Molly says, Elizabeth backed him up, but Alexis is sure Ric influenced her. He messed with her and the investigation, and now it will take more time for the police to find out who killed John Cates. Molly says she doesn’t think that wasn’t his intention. She knows Alexis would never kill someone. Alexis says she knows Molly loves her dad, but frankly dragging her into this investigation is beyond malicious. Molly says she’s not happy with him either, but they both know it’s Kristina’s fault she’s in this mess, not her dad’s.
Elizabeth says, it’s been 12 years since Lucky lived in Port Charles, and Willow says, it must be tough on her and Aiden. Elizabeth says, it’s not ideal, and Willow asks if she’s worried Lucky might not come back. Elizabeth says, Lucky loves his family, and he’ll do what he can to help.
Isaiah asks if Anna is accusing him of something, but she says she’s trying to understand why a renowned transplant surgeon would leave to do humanitarian service in Africa. He says, it’s no big mystery. He has a specific skill and goes where he’s most needed. She asks if he and Sidwell had crossed paths before, but he says, no. She tells him that he said he felt someone was following him, and he says, working in a war zone made him hyper-aware of his surroundings. She says she thinks he knows more than he’s saying, but he says, she thinks he’s lying. She says she hopes not. If it wasn’t for the well-timed Jordan… He says, the guy who stopped it, the Deputy Mayor. He’d love to meet him and say thank you. Jordan walks in, and Anna says, he’s in luck. Here she is. He says, the hit parade continues.
Jack says, it’s admirable that Carly and Sonny reconnected, but they’re definitely in the minority. She’s smart and knows what she’s doing. He trusts her judgement. Does that mean a reconciliation is in the works? She says, absolutely not, and he says he understands they’ve gotten back together before. She says, he’s been checking on her, and he says he asked a few questions. She says, facing federal charges for Sonny’s business was a one-time thing, and he says, she has nothing to worry about. The charges were dropped. She says, it was lucky there was a break in the FBI’s chain of evidence. Someone out there must like her. He smiles. (Writing Mrs. Jack Brennan on my notebook.)
Alexis tells Molly that Ric sent the police, not her sister, and Molly asks if she’s saying Ric is lying, that she didn’t dispose of a gun. She needs to tell the police everything and quit protecting Kristina from the consequences of her actions. Alexis says she loves Molly and Molly doesn’t need to be involved. They can’t have this conversation. Molly says, Alexis needs to tell the police why she had a gun and where she got it. Stop sacrificing herself for Kristina. Alexis says, Molly needs to take care of herself, not her. She hasn’t been charged. Molly says, not yet, and Alexis says, it’s important she keep her mouth shut and not incriminate herself. Diane will handle it and she won’t be charged. There are far more likely suspects. Molly says, far more likely suspects that would cover their tracks.
Ava thanks Trina for stepping up. She did an amazing job, but it’s late and she should go. Trina says she has no plans, and Ava asks how things are with her and Joss. Trina says, they’ve agreed to disagree, and Ava says, about her. She appreciates Trina standing up for her even when it put her at odds with her best friend. Trina says, Ava was supportive of her relationship with Spencer even when her mom wasn’t, and Ava says she hopes Trina never feels she paid a price for their friendship.
Ric says he’s sorry he married Nina for her money, but he can’t defend someone who hurt his daughter. Nina says she’s sorry for Molly’s loss. She lost a child too and wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. But how does it help to blame an innocent woman? He says, Ava hasn’t been innocent since she found out she was a Jerome, and Nina says, Ava did horrible things, but she didn’t do this. She and Kristina did argue, but Kristina lost her balance and fell. Does he think if anyone else was there that they’d be brought up on manslaughter charges? They both know what it’s like to be despised and the first person accused. From one black sheep to another, she’s asking him to fight to prevent Ava from being persecuted for her past rather than the supposed crime she’s been charged with.
Trina says, Ava hasn’t cost her anything. Ava didn’t ask her to choose between her and her family. She’s grateful to have Ava in her life. Ava says she’s sure most of the people in this town think the worst of her, and Trina asks how she can help. Ava says, unless she has a defense attorney, there isn’t much she can do. She wishes people would believe it was an accident. Trina reminds Ava that she said, when something horrible happens, it’s easier to have someone to blame. For a while, she felt blaming Esme for Spencer’s death helped her. Now she thinks hating Esme made her grief worse. She thanks Aunt Stella for her family being able to move on without being angry, but they’re still looking for someone to pay for the baby’s death. Ava says, her, and Trina says, it’s a terrible loss, but Ava going to prison won’t lessen the grief, and she’s innocent.
Ric says, he had a personal history with Nina’s father and has done a lot of counterproductive things by holding onto his anger, and Nina says, it’s a no brainer how much better life would be if he let go of his grudge against Sonny. He says, it’s not a grudge. His brother purposely tried to ruin his life and never suffers the consequences for the bad things he does. She asks, what better way to get back at his brother than getting Ava out of the charges? and he says, she makes a tempting argument, but his daughter means the world to him. She’s the best thing in his life, the only thing he’s proud of. He’s afraid his answer is still no. She says she had to try. Her daughter is a better person than she’ll ever hope to be, so she understands him wanting to protect Molly. She thanks him for listening and leaves.
Willow introduces herself to Lulu and says, they’re all rooting for her, especially her family. Like Willow’s family did when she needed a stem cell transplant. Her husband never gave up hope and Michael’s uncle risked his life to bring her donor back. Don’t give up hope. There’s always something that can be done.
Anna says, Deputy Mayor Jordan Ashford, and Isaiah laughs. Jordan says she feels like she’s missing something, and Isaiah says, him making a fool of himself assuming she was a man. He introduces himself and thanks her for saving his life. He stares at her, and she asks if there’s something on her face. He says he’s sorry. Staring is rude. He’s not used to bureaucrats looking so… It doesn’t look like she spends her time in committee meetings. She says she promises her job is more challenging than that, and he says he believes it. She single-handedly saved his life. Why? She says, it seemed like a good idea at the time, and he asks, why visit a random John Doe? She says she wanted to help. She figured his family is wondering where he is. Someone is out there who’s missing him.
Jack says he’s glad Carly’s legal troubles are over, and toasts to freedom. They clink glasses, and she says, just so there’s no confusion, she hasn’t involved herself in Sonny’s business. She wants to focus on her family. He says, finding Lucky for Lulu, and she says, he’s her best chance for a donor, so she’s going to do what she can to bring him home. He says he admires her determination, and she says, he hasn’t seen anything yet. Is life in Port Charles what he hoped? He says, and then some, and she says, she has a feeling a few people have issues with him being here. He says he’s not sure the Police Commissioner is happy with his presence, when Anna walks in and says, cooperating? Jack says, drink?
Molly says, the animosity between Alexis and Cates is public knowledge, but Alexis says, a lot of people hated him. Molly says, how many of them were caught with a gun? and Alexis says, circumstantial. She didn’t kill Cates. Molly says, what about Kristina? and Alexis says she hopes Kristina is home and resting. Molly tells her to start thinking like a lawyer. If she doesn’t come up with an alternative explanation, she might find herself charged with capital murder. Molly slams out of the room.
Willow tells Lulu that she’s lucky to be alive. She’s not about to screw up the chance, and she came back to GH so she could go back to the life she had before the things with Drew happened. She can’t have feelings for Drew. She loves Michael and the kids and everything they’ve built. She’s going to get Drew out of her head once and for all. Elizabeth is in the doorway and says, Willow? (Rut-roh.)
Diane walks into the interrogation room, and Alexis asks if she’s free to go. Diane wonders if Alexis is doubting her skill, but Alexis says, never. Diane says, yes, she’s free to go. Of course (🍷) it’s a temporary reprieve. Alexis has no alibi and won’t tell the police where she was when John was killed. Now she’s digging a hole with the gun. Alexis says she panicked when she saw the gun. When they find it, they’ll see it wasn’t the murder weapon. Diane says, if they find it, and Alexis says, Diane doesn’t think she did it, does she? Diane says, of course (🍷) not, but Alexis threatened Cates just hours before the murder and two trustworthy witnesses saw her getting rid of a gun. Alexis says, Ric is hardly trustworthy, and Diane tells her to focus. They both know it’s not about what she did or didn’t do. It’s what she can prove in a court of law.
Isaiah says he appreciates Jordan’s intentions. He wouldn’t be breathing if not for her. She says, he didn’t answer her question. Does he have family? He says, it’s more like an interrogation. Is she sure she’s not a cop? She says, she was, and that’s another question. She answered. When someone dodges a question, it usually means they’re hiding something. He says he has nothing to hide, but there are things he’d rather not revisit. He doesn’t expect her to understand. She says, he’d be surprised.
Nina goes to the gallery and asks how Ava is doing. Ava says, she’s hopeful. She just spoke to Trina, and she was reminded that she’s lucky to have someone on her side who believes her. It makes the ordeal easier. Nina says, for what it’s worth (🍷), she believes Ava too, and Ava says she’s surprised Nina is being supportive. Nina asks if it’s hard to imagine her doing the right thing, and Ava says she’s glad to have Nina in her corner. She’s grateful. Nina says she’s been down, as Ava knows, and remembers how badly she needed a friend. Ava asks how it’s going with Ric, and Nina says she’s sorry, but Ric still refuses to take the case.
Molly finds Ric at the MetroCourt and says, he told the police that mom disposed of a gun? He says, she did, and Molly asks if he’s trying to set Alexis up. He says he and Elizabeth saw her the night John Cates was murdered. He’s an officer of the court and obligated to report it. And he wants them to catch the killer. She says, mom didn’t kill Cates, and whatever she’s going through is Kristina’s fault. He asks if she has more information about the case, and she says, not for sure yet. He asks if Kristina owns a gun, and she says, Kristina could have gotten one from Sonny. Michael is covering for her too. Kristina is desperate not to go to prison and maybe she finally snapped. Ric says, Ava changed her story. She said Cates pressured her into making a false statement. Knowing that, does Molly still believe Kristina was the aggressor and responsible for her own fall?
Elizabeth says she’s glad Willow was talking to Lulu. Sometimes even the nurses forget there’s an actual person in the bed and not just a body. Willow says she thinks Lulu can hear on some level. She was filling Lulu in on the things happening in Port Charles. Elizabeth says she thinks it’s great and apologizes for snapping when they were talking about Lucky. Willow says she didn’t mean imply he was avoiding his family, but Elizabeth says she thinks that’s exactly what he’s doing. He’s been running from something for a long time, but she doesn’t know what it is. Sometimes she thinks it’s her. Willow asks, why? and Elizabeth says, it’s a long story. She is a big reason why he left, but she didn’t realize he’d be gone so long. His son barely knows him. Aiden is excited about his dad coming back, but her biggest fear is that Lucky will come back, save Lulu, and leave. What happens when Aiden loses his dad again?
Anna says, this is cozy, and Carly says, Jack is helping them find Lucky. Anna wonders how having a drink helps, and Jack says, they’re waiting for the satellite photos from where they think Lucky is being held. Anna asks what he can tell her about Jenz Sidwell, but he says, nothing he hasn’t read in the papers. His phone rings, and he asks if they’re sure… Send him the link. He tells Carly and Anna that they found Sidwell’s compound, and Carly asks if Lucky is there, but he says, it appears to be abandoned.
Nina says she’s sorry, but Ric isn’t budging, and Ava thanks her for trying. There are a lot of good lawyers in this town, and she can afford the best. Nina says, Ava is taking it better than she expected, and Ava says, Trina reminded her that she’s not alone. She has Trina and now she has Nina. She spent so much time scheming and manipulating situations, she knows she’s lucky to have any friends left. Nina says she knows the feeling.
Molly tells Ric, it doesn’t matter. If Kristina hadn’t gone to Ava’s room, her baby would still be alive. Ric says, they should stop talking about it. It’s making her upset. Molly says, of course (🍷) she’s upset. She lost her baby and her sister that day. He says, isn’t it possible that it was just a terrible accident? but she says, the evidence says otherwise. Ava was arrested. Ric wonders what happened to innocent until proven guilty, and Molly says she needs to know who’s responsible for her baby’s death and they need to pay.
Elizabeth says she doesn’t know what to say to Aiden. He saw Jake having a relationship with Jason, and he might be hoping that it will be the same with him and his dad. Lucky loves his son, but he doesn’t love living in one place for long.
Jack says, the satellite photos show signs of recent activity. It looks like they missed Sidwell by a few hours. Anna wonders if they can find him and tells Jack to gather all the satellite photos from the area. Maybe they caught Sidwell leaving. Jack says he doesn’t work for her, and he can’t dedicate a satellite to finding one man. Anna says, Lucky’s family helped the WSB for years, and Jack says he knows, but even if he locates Lucky, getting him out can be extremely difficult. Anna tells him to ignore what she said. She’ll find Lucky with or without his help. She leaves, and Carly says, please. She’ll pay for whatever resources they need to have to bring Lucky home. Lulu needs her family. They can’t lose her. Jack asks if they haven’t already lost her. (Apparently not, according to GH casting.)
Diane asks if Alexis thinks Kristina killed Cates, but Alexis says, absolutely not. Diane says, then she has to get Kristina to come in and talk to the police and tell them what happened. Alexis says, she can’t. She’s not in her right mind. She doesn’t know what she’s saying. She’s glad Cates is dead. What if she says that to the police? Diane says, that would be bad, and Alexis says she can handle the scrutiny with the police. Kristina can’t. It’s not an option. Diane says, Alexis doesn’t have the luxury of protecting Kristina anymore. When she disposed of the gun and got caught, it made her suspect number one.
Nina says she’ll have her assistant compile a list of the best criminal attorneys, when Ric walks in. He says, good. They’re both here. Ava says she hopes he didn’t come by to gloat, but he says he’s changed his mind. He’ll take the case. They both ask, why? and he says he’s doing it for his daughter. Molly needs to know what happened. They’ll start in the morning, but if he finds out Ava is lying, he’ll bury her. Does she still want him as her attorney? She says, yeah, because she’s innocent.
Alexis says, if she’s charged, Diane will convince the jury that she’s innocent, and Diane says, yeah… Alexis knows she’ll always do what she can, but if Alexis is charged, she can’t be her lawyer.
Molly comes into the station and says she needs to make a statement. She has information about the murder of John Cates.
Jack says, Lulu has been in a coma for 4 years and with a transplant, her odds aren’t good. Carly says, as long as Lulu is still breathing, she won’t give up, and he says he won’t take her money. He’ll continue without it, but don’t thank him yet. What he said to Anna was correct. The territory is extremely unstable. Even if she finds Lucky, what’s the plan? She doesn’t have a SEAL team, and the area is too dangerous for civilians. Who is she going to send in to rescue him?
Molly says, the night John Cates was murdered, nobody knows where her sister was. She has no alibi and had a motive to kill him.
Jordan says she lives in Port Charles, but she’ll always root for the Baltimore team. Go Orioles. Isaiah says, what about the Ravens? and she says she told him where she’s from. Now it’s his turn. Anna comes in, and Isaiah asks if they found Lucky. Anna says, after Isaiah escaped, Sidwell made his getaway and the compound was abandoned. Does he have any idea where Sidwell might have gone? He says, Sidwell was always careful about what he said. How are they going to find Lucky now?
Tomorrow, Sasha asks if Cody is ready for something fun and exciting; Jason tells Carly not to get involved with Jack; and Diane wants to know what Sonny is going to do about this.
Once again, I drooled over JoshF’s 30,000 square foot, 2 and a half acre, $36 million (in Pasadena!) mansion with the elevator going to the museum and bar in the basement. It’s truly an amazing piece of property. If I had a spare $36 million, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Tracy felt it was a small buyer pool for the price point, and it would have to be some kind of collector. She took an embarrassing photo of JoshA, posing as a statue in the museum, and even he laughed his ass off. He begged her not to post it, but no surprise, she did. She told him it was payback for setting her up on last week’s date with the splooge. I bet it got a billion reactions.
The Altman Brothers’ Orange County office was hardly finished, and Heather was having a panic attack, since the ribbon cutting had already been set with the Chamber of Commerce, et al. It was 15 days away, but the magician contractor promised it would be ready. And it was. The outside of the front anyway, which is all they needed. At the ceremony, Tracy sympathized with Heather, whose calendar was way too full, and suggested Heather say no once in a while.
It was the finale, so in wrapping it up, JoshA said the business had surpassed its goal of 500 million in listings. Tracy said, while it had been a slow start, she was excited to move forward, but she wasn’t letting JoshA set her up again. JoshF said he’d done well in a bad market and was a month into the process of reconstructing his dreamhouse. He’d also started seeing Andrew again. The Joshes toasted to high sales, low sales, and no sales.
I don’t think they have a Reunion, but if they do, I’ll be there for it. I enjoy this show more every season, and I’ll miss it. Maybe it’s just as well there’s a break though, since it makes me long for houses I could never afford, and even if I could, I’d probably regret buying something so mammoth. It was tough moving from an apartment to the house I’m in now. It seemed like a mile to the bathroom after having to walk 15 feet.
I always have hope that VanderPeople have changed and matured as they’ve gotten older. So Mazel Tov to Kristen for achieving one of her goals, even though I’m a wee bit skeptical that she’s matured.
I remember not being able to get all the channels when I got up and thinking it was the cable. Then I found a news station that was on and saw that a plane had flown into the WTC. My first thought was, well, it finally happened. Some idiot crashed into it. Then as the newscasters talked, behind them on the screen, the second plane hit. That’s when I knew it was no accident.
Meet the latest addition to my pack, Sally Jo Buck. I’ve had her a few months, and like her sister Hannah, she brings happiness wherever she goes. I’ve entered her in the Daily Kibble Summer Lovin’ Fun Contest, so click on the link (or copy and paste), scroll down, and give a like to the pictures below.
Join me tomorrow for soap and OC in the shade. Until then, stay safe, stay reestablishing lost or taken for granted relationships, and stay not giving up hope. There’s always something that can be done.
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)
General Hospital
Fed #1 tells Sonny that they’ve been sitting here all night. It wouldn’t be so bad if he’d just cooperate with them. All he has to do is answer a few questions. Let’s try this again. How about if they start with simple yes or no questions. Does he think he could manage to do that? He leans forward and asks if Sonny has ever done business with Pikeman Security Corp. Yes or no?
Michael walks into Sonny’s old kitchen, and Carly asks what he’s doing here. Is everything okay? After acknowledging the moss bowl🎍, he says he has something important to tell her, and it’s not good news. She asks if Willow is okay, and he says, Willow’s fine; the kids are fine. He had dinner last night at the MetroCourt with Willow and Wiley, and the FBI showed up and arrested dad. She says she knows.
Maxie says she’s going to need Lucy to calm down, and Lucy asks how she’s supposed to calm down when she feels Deception slipping through their fingertips. Maxie says she knows Lucy wants to fight Tracy’s lawsuit, claiming The Deceptor was her idea, but she thinks they should consider settling. Lucy tells her, don’t even say that. She’s put her blood, sweat, and tears into this company. She’s never going to give 75% of her beloved Deception to Tracy Quartermaine. Maxie asks if she’s thinking this through clearly, and Lucy says she’s thinking about it all the time night and day. She can’t stop. Maxie says, okay. Then she knows 25% of a viable company is a whole lot more than 100% of nothing.
Ava sees someone looking at a painting and says she’s sorry, but they’re closed. Mason says he thought she was always open for him, and she asks what he’s doing here. He says, do people really buy this junk? He swears he could do that in his sleep. She says, really? So he’s a thug and an artist too. He says he’s sorry she woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. If it was him in that bed with her, he’d make damn sure she woke up on the right side with a smile on her face every morning.
Austin enters the unfamiliar house, and calls to Nikolas. He asks if Nikolas is here, but there’s no answer. He starts to look at his phone, when Nikolas comes in, and Austin asks where he’s been. Nikolas says he went for a morning jog, and Austin says, for months he’s been recovering from a traumatic head injury. Does he think that’s a good idea? Nikolas says he feels pretty good and his strength is almost back to normal. Austin says, right. And when it is, what is he going to do?
Drew dries off after a shower, and Cyrus says, they need to talk. Drew tells Cyrus that he has nothing to say, and Cyrus says he needs to warn Drew. Drew says, Cyrus told him already. Hell, damnation for eternity; he gets it. Cyrus says he’s talking about Sonny Corinthos, and Drew says, what about Sonny? Cyrus says, Drew is no longer under Sonny’s protection, and Drew asks what he’s talking about. Cyrus says, Sonny can’t even protect himself. As of last night, he’s in federal custody.
Dante comes in, and Sam hugs him. She says she’s glad he’s home. She was really worried about him. She asks if she can get him anything, but he says, uh-uh. Just this. She asks if he got any details on his father’s arrest, but he says, not a thing, and he was at the FBI office all night. They’re keeping pretty tight-lipped. They don’t want to tell the PCPD anything about that case. She says, why not? and he says he doesn’t know. Because they can. It seems like the end for his father. She tells him not to say that. She’s seen Sonny in tighter spots, and he always manages to beat the charges. He says, but this time, he doesn’t have a Jason.
Agent Wallis tells Fed #2 that he wants a full report on all the evidence seized at the pier last night, and Fed #2 says he’s on it. In their interrogation room, Fed #1 tells Sonny that Pikeman is a global contractor furnishing arms and security equipment… among other things. Come on. Sonny is an importer. If Pikeman approached him to deliver arms to a third party, it would be a very quick payday for him. Sonny says he’s a coffee importer. He’s not going to say anything unless his attorney is present.
Lucy says, so that’s it. One little hearing doesn’t go their way, and Maxie wants to cave? Maxie says she doesn’t like this any more than Lucy does, and Lucy asks, then why doesn’t Maxie want to fight? She wants to fight, but it sounds like Maxie wants to throw in the towel, and give up everything, their whole lifetime of work. Maxie says, first and foremost, she’s a mom, a single mom of three kids. And she just decided to move out of her two-bedroom apartment and into a house that’s a lot more expensive. Her financial future is tied to Deception. She has to be practical. (I kind of doubt Dante would evict her for non-payment.) Lucy says she gets it, but she just thinks Maxie is jumping the gun maybe. She says she needs gummies, looks in her purse, and says she didn’t bring gummies today, just when she needed them. Maxie says, they’re up against Tracy Quartermaine. She’s not some inexperienced grifter looking for a quick payday. Lucy says, doesn’t she know that? and Maxie says, good. Then Lucy knows how ruthless she is. She’ll do anything to win, and Maxie isn’t entirely sure she wants to play that game. They already know she used Brook, her own granddaughter, as a corporate spy. Lucy says, Maxie is right. Tracy is greedy and she’s vindictive, but somehow, Lucy doesn’t think that’s all there is to it. She thinks maybe, just maybe, Tracy is deliberately trying to get back at her. Maxie says, get back at her for what?
Mason says he really doesn’t see what Ava sees in his cousin. She doesn’t know what she’s missing in him. She says, what she’s missing is her ex-husband’s corpse. He should have delivered it to her by now. He says, let him just run out to his car and get it, and she says, he’s just hilarious. Where is it? He says, when and where and how they move Nikolas’s body is up to the boss. She says, he’s been working this out with the boss for weeks now, and Mason says he doesn’t want to get caught moving it. Then he’d have to explain to the cops that it was Ava who did him in. She says, whatever arrangements he has to make, make them. She did what he asked her to do. Now it’s time for him to honor the deal.
Nikolas says, Austin saved his life. That blow to his head put him in a coma. He doubts he would have survived a day or two, much less made a full recovery if it wasn’t for Austin. For that, Nikolas wants to thank him. He does appreciate it. Austin says, sure, happy to help. He just wants to clarify something. It’s important. He just wants… Ava never intended to kill Nikolas, right? It was just an accident. Nikolas says, accident or not, he almost died, and Austin says he understands that. Nikolas’s condition was grave and his recovery has been remarkable. It’s just that now it’s time for Ava to know about it.
Drew asks how Cyrus heard about Sonny, and Cyrus says, Drew knows how it is in here; word travels fast. He overheard some inmates say Sonny was picked up by the Feds and the shipment he was moving was confiscated. Drew says, that doesn’t sound like Sonny; he’s too smart to get caught. Cyrus says, when it comes to the Feds, they don’t mess around. Word is, Sonny is in violation of the National Security Act. Drew is ex-military. He’s a smart guy. Put two and two together. Those are some serious charges. Doesn’t he agree?
Sam tells Dante, with Jason gone, it did leave a huge hole in Sonny’s organization, but he still has Gabe, Frank, Dex, Brick, and a lot of other loyal people surrounding him. Not to mention Diane who will help him fight the charges. Dante says, but they didn’t come after him on RICO charges or racketeering. It’s violations of the NSA. It’s pretty serious. If he gets convicted, he could be in jail for the rest of his life. This is the Feds; they don’t mess around. She says she knows, but something doesn’t feel right about this. Sonny is way too careful. He would never let something like this happen. How does Dante think it happened? He says, someone snitched on him, and went on the record. Whoever it is, they gave the FBI what they needed to haul him in finally. Sam wonders who would do that, and Dante says his father has made so many enemies over the years. Maybe it’s some low-level worker who saw something they shouldn’t have seen. She says she doesn’t think so. Sonny is way too loyal to his people. They would never turn on him like that. Her gut his telling her it’s one of his enemies from outside his organization. He says, maybe, but who?
Michael asks how Carly heard about Sonny. Did Diane call her? She says, no. She was at Kelly’s last night and a regular from the docks came in. He saw the Feds down there and heard the name Corinthos. She called Sonny, and he didn’t pick up. She wasn’t going to leave that on a voicemail, so she called Dex. Michael asks if he answered, and she says, yes. She told him to get the hell out of there. She doesn’t know if he got picked up or managed to escape, but she hasn’t heard from him since. Has Michael? Michael says, no. He hasn’t either. She says, this isn’t good, and he says, obviously Dex had no time to warn him because he didn’t know until the Feds walked off the elevator at the MetroCourt. She says she needs the truth and not a cover story. If Michael changed his mind and he turned his father in to the Feds, he needs to tell her the truth right now.
Lucy tells Maxie, good grief. Who knows what Tracy would take offense to? That woman is just in a perpetual state of unhappiness. Ask her family and they’ll tell you, that woman is nothing but a big old sourpuss. Now she’s trying to inflict her nasty unhappiness on Lucy and her friends and associates. Maxie says, her motives don’t matter at this point; her evidence does. Lucy says, right, but she still thinks Tracy might have something else up her sleeve, and Maxie says, what they do know is, Tracy is alleging the designs for The Deceptor were her idea and they stole them. Lucy says, but they know, she’s a big fat liar, and Maxie says, but they also know Tracy had Brook give her the proprietary information on how they developed The Deceptor. Lucy says, that has to be, because it’s the only way Tracy could get her grubby little hands on her idea, and Maxie says, but they don’t know what evidence Tracy actually has to prove the design for The Deceptor was her idea and not Lucy’s, and that she created it first.
Michael says he could understand why Carly would suspect him of turning Sonny over to the Feds, and Willow did too. Wiley saw his grandfather being arrested by those agents and he’s really upset about it. Carly says, he shouldn’t have to see Sonny arrested. Is he okay? Michael says, he is now. They got him home, tucked him into bed, and told him that his grandfather is going to be okay. She asks what Willow said, and he says, she asked him straight out if he was responsible for Sonny’s arrest. She asks what he told Willow, and he says, the truth. He made the decision not to use the Pikeman footage, and in doing so, he gave up the whole idea of getting revenge against his father. Carly and Willow made him realize that by going after Sonny he’d be causing too much damage, especially to his siblings. She asks if he swears to her that he had nothing to do with this, and he says he swears. He gave her the footage; that was the end of it. She says she smashed that flashdrive right her in the kitchen, right in front of the moss bowl🎍 and Josslyn. But are they sure she had the only copy? Dex knocks at the door.
Sam tells Dante, regardless of who could have turned Sonny in, is he sure about the NSA charges? He tells her, it’s all rumors right now. Like he said before, the Feds are being tight-lipped about the whole thing. They don’t want to involve the PCPD because Sonny might have informants in the department. She says, he doesn’t think anyone would suspect he’d warn Sonny, does he? and he says he doesn’t know. He has to admit he’s glad he doesn’t have to answer that question. He doesn’t know what he’d do with that information if he had it, but he didn’t. He found out when his mother called him. She asks if he thinks Diane can get Sonny out of this, but he says he honestly doesn’t know. The way this is going down, the Feds are acting like they’re so confident in their case, they have the evidence to back it up.
Fed #1 says, Sonny has been the target of multiple federal investigations. He knows how this works. The only thing they want more than his lifetime conviction, is evidence of who he’s working with. Does Sonny want to tell him who that is? Diane walks in and says, seriously? Seriously? The FBI doesn’t know you don’t question anyone without counsel present? Her client isn’t going to answer any more of his questions. Fed #1 says, Sonny hasn’t answered any of his questions to begin with. The only thing he said was, he imports coffee. She says, not just coffee. The best coffee. She advises him to try it sometime – Sonny nods – and he’s done with her client. Fed #1 says, they can and will hold Mr. Corinthos for 72 hours. He won’t make bail on an NSA violation. Maybe she should explain to her client the benefits of cooperating. He leaves, and in the hallway, he tells Wallis, sorry he didn’t get anything on Sonny. Wallis says, they knew going into this thing, this guy was a pro, and Fed #1 says, damn good thing they have the evidence to back this up. Sonny Corinthos isn’t getting away this time.
Lucy tells Maxie that she doesn’t see how Tracy could have proof that she came up with the idea of The Deceptor, because it was hers; it was all hers. She came up with it. She did have encouragement from Martin, but it wasn’t like it just all of a sudden came out – go ahead and come up with this revolutionary beauty wand that makes us all look younger. Maxie says, that doesn’t mean Tracy didn’t have the same idea, but Lucy says, oh poo. There’s no way Tracy came up with the same idea she had. Maxie says, what about those gazillionaires who are always creating rockets that are going into space at the same time? It could just be out there in the ether. Lucy says, no. She’ll give Maxie this. If one of their competitors – an actual cosmetic competitor like Erica Kane with Enchantment – came up with the idea, maybe she would buy it. But no way Tracy came up with the idea. Anyway, she thinks this is personal. Maxie says, she obviously has something, because they’re standing here having this conversation. Lucy says, okay, but since when did Tracy care or know anything about beauty?
Mason says, keep your shirt on. Ava will get her husband’s body all in good time. She tells him, so he’s been saying. Where is it? He says he’ll figure out where to move it and let her know. He puts a lollipop in his mouth, and she says, when? He says, soon, but she says, that’s not good enough. She wants to know when. No more vague answers. He says, we’ll be in touch, he promises, and walks out.
Austin says, this has been a hell for Ava. Believing Nikolas is dead is like living in the torments of the damned. Nikolas says he’s sure, but he didn’t realize Austin and his ex-wife were so close. Austin flashes back to getting busy with Ava, and says, they’re not really. Nikolas says, then how does Austin know she was so tortured by his apparent death? and Austin says, they kind of went through this ordeal on Spoon Island because they were there when Heather Webber and Ryan Chamberlain were there on this rampage. Heather stabbed him with like this big fishing hook. Nikolas says, really? and Austin says, it was super painful. Nikolas asks what he was doing on the island to begin with, and Austin says he just stopped by. Nikolas says, no one drops by Spoon Island. He must have had a reason to go there.
Drew comes in the prison library, and Cyrus says, so they meet again. Drew says he appreciates the warning about Sonny. He hopes Sonny beats the charges like he’s done so many times in the past, but right now, all he wants to do is find a book. Cyrus says, before he does, he has something for Drew.
While Michael is transfixed by the moss bowl🎍, Dex thanks Carly for calling him last night. She asks where he’s been, and he says he’s been laying low. He didn’t want to go home, so he spent the night in the Q’s boathouse. Carly says, he should have called Michael or her; they were worried. Michael asks how the Feds got a copy of the Pikeman footage. Did Dex keep a backup? Dex says, of course (🍷) he didn’t keep a backup. He downloaded the footage onto an encrypted flashdrive that he gave to Michael. Michael asks, what about the original footage? and Dex says he deleted it. Michael asks if he always kept the flashdrive with him. Was there a chance it could have been copied? Dex flashes back to Josslyn handing him the pieces of the flashdrive, and telling him that Carly destroyed it. He remembers Josslyn saying later that she wishes her mom hadn’t destroyed the flashdrive. It was their one chance to turn Sonny into the Feds and they blew it. Josslyn walks in and asks what they’re all doing here.
Austin tells Nikolas, when the news broke that Ryan and Heather had escaped from Spring Ridge with Esme, the rumors were swirling that Esme was The Hook killer. Ava was her first victim, so he went to check on her, and that was good because they were all there. Nikolas says, and he was hooked by Heather trying to protect Ava, and Austin says, yes. They have that in common. They both almost died on Spoon Island. Nikolas says, Austin may well have saved Ava’s life, and Austin says, Ava’s a really good person. Nikolas says he’s not sure everyone would agree with that statement, and Austin says, she’s made her mistakes, but who hasn’t? And it’s really difficult for her right now. She blames herself for something that clearly isn’t true. So it’s time for Nikolas to go back to town, and time to tell her that he’s alive.
Cyrus takes a chess set out of a box, and tells Drew that he made it in the prison shop. He’d like Drew to have it. It’s the least he could do after Drew saved his life. Does he play? Drew says he knows the game. He hasn’t played in a while. Cyrus says he originally made it for himself. He was hoping to interest other inmates in playing with very limited success. Now he’d like Drew to have it. For his own use of course (🍷), but also in the hope Drew would agree to play him. Chess is an excellent way to see how the opposing player’s mind works. Things like, are they impulsive or methodical? How far ahead can they think? And best of all, you don’t have to like someone to play chess with them, and you may learn something worth knowing.
Dante wonders what Sonny did to get the NSA after him, but Sam says, that’s hard to pinpoint because his organization is so complex. (Is it? Is it really?) Does he think this could all be tied to the MetroCourt shooting? He says he doesn’t know how it could be, but they can’t dismiss it, right? If Sonny goes down, it destabilizes Port Charles and leaves a gaping hole in his family. She says, a load of people would be hurt if his father went to prison, and he says, especially his family. He’s been in these clothes for far too long. He’s going to have a shower. She asks if he wants coffee or breakfast, and he says, coffee sounds good. She kisses him and says she’ll brew him a pot. Go shower. He goes upstairs, and she calls Ferncliff. She tells them who she is, and that she has medical proxy over Cody Bell. She’s calling to see how he’s doing today. The nurse tells her, Cody has been on a 24-hour watch since he’s been admitted. He hasn’t been left alone. He’s in good hands. Try not to worry. Sam thanks her and says she’ll call later for an update. She sits on the sofa and says, dammit Cody. You’ve got to tone it down. You’re not going to get to Sasha if they keep watching you.
Carly says she’s been worried all night long about Josslyn. Why didn’t she return Carly’s calls or texts? Josslyn says she’s sorry. She went to that concert, then she went out with some friends. Carly says, she didn’t come home all night long, and Josslyn says she’s sorry. She spent the night with Lori. She came home as soon as she saw the texts and the calls. Carly says, they talked about this. When she was hauled down to the PCPD, she told Josslyn that she had to keep her phone on at all times in case she needs her. Josslyn promises it won’t happen again, and asks, what the hell is going on? Michael says, the FBI busted Sonny last night for violations of the NSA, and Josslyn says, really? Why? Dex says, someone turned Sonny in, and Carly says, was it her?
Lucy tells Maxie that she just knows Tracy is doing this out of pure and total spite for her. It’s because she finally made Deception such a huge success. Maxie says, first of all, excuse me? She’s pretty sure she had something to do with that success. Lucy says, of course (🍷) she did. That goes without saying, and Sasha too. Thinking about this, if Sasha hadn’t had that unfortunate meltdown, they probably wouldn’t be in this situation, but now they have The Deceptor. It’s their only money maker and they need it, and now it’s tied up in court because of Tracy for six months. Maxie says, financially, maybe they could hold on, but only if they both agree that they’re going to win this.
Nikolas says, he can’t go back… yet, and Austin asks, why not? Nikolas says he can’t go into details, but he’s in a volatile situation. Austin says, right. Sure he is, because he knocked up his son’s girlfriend and then kept her prisoner in a tower at Windymere, and he doesn’t know if anyone’s told Nikolas, so he’ll bring Nikolas up to speed. Elizabeth Baldwin, his co-conspirator in all this, made a spirited statement to the police department. Nikolas says, that doesn’t surprise him. Elizabeth always ends up doing the right thing. Austin says, so back to the original question. Why is Nikolas staying away from Port Charles? What is it? Is he afraid he’s going to get arrested?
Josslyn asks where Sonny was arrested, and Michael says, the MetroCourt. He was there with Willow and Wiley when the Feds showed up and arrested Sonny for violations of the NSA. Does Josslyn know what that means? She says she thinks so, and Carly says, it’s really serious. Michael says, very serious. It could only mean the Feds had a copy of the Pikeman footage. Does Josslyn have any idea how they could have gotten ahold of that? She says, not from her, and he says, she was pretty determined to take Sonny down, even after he decided to back off. She says she would have turned him in, in an instant, but Dex didn’t keep a copy of the footage and gave the only copy to Michael. Michael says, and he gave it to mom, and Josslyn says, and mom destroyed it in the kitchen as she watched. Michael asks, what happened to the flashdrive after it was destroyed? and Dex says he took it. Josslyn looks at him like she’s shocked when she’s the one who gave it to him like we just saw.
Maxie tells Lucy, after their little day in court, she did some research. IP theft cases are very hard to win, but if you can prove it, they’re very lucrative. Lucy says, well, that viper Tracy thinks that she can, and Maxie says, and if she can’t, she’ll just drag this out in court for as long as it takes. Lucy says, which makes Deception just suffer, and Maxie says, Tracy will risk destroying their company if she thinks she’s not going to beat them. Which is why they can’t risk holding on if they’re just going to lose in the end. Lucy says, just stop. Is she correct in saying Maxie just wants to wave the white flag and just surrender everything to Tracy? Maxie says she knows they both hate the idea of giving in to Tracy, but yes. She thinks they should take Tracy’s deal. Lucy says, no. She’s not ready to do that. Maxie says, financially speaking, they don’t have any time, and Lucy says she realizes that. She also realizes that it’s not a walk in the park for them, but please, just give her time. She’s got to figure out what proof Tracy has that she had the idea for The Deceptor, and she knows for a fact there’s no way Tracy can prove she thought of The Deceptor first. Maxie asks, how exactly is Lucy going to do that?… Oh no. She knows that look. Lucy says she promises Maxie, she will think of something.
Nikolas says, there are a number of issues that have to be worked out before he returns to the land of the living, and Austin says he thinks he just mentioned two of the big ones. Nikolas says he’s eager to get back home, and Austin says, cool. This decade? Nikolas says he can’t wait to see Spencer, his mother, and his new son Ace. And he needs to set things right with Ava. Now if Austin will excuse him, he needs to get out of these running clothes and into a shower. He leaves the room, and Austin’s phone rings. He picks it up, and says, hey… Hello? Everything all right? Ava says, no. Actually, everything is not all right. What the hell is going on? He asks what that means, and she says, when she got to work, his creepy cousin was in her gallery. He says, not to buy art? and she says, he most definitely wasn’t here to buy art. Austin says, then what did he want? and she says, that’s just the thing. Aside from just being a creeper, she has no idea. It’s like he was checking up on her. Austin says, he’s remarkably good at that, and she says, she asked him again when she can expect to have Nikolas’s body and he was vague again. He deflected, saying he still had things to work out with the boss.
Cyrus and Drew play chess. Cyrus makes a move, and Drew makes a move. Cyrus thinks a moment, and moves his piece. Drew takes one of his pieces and knocks over Cyrus’s little horse and takes it. (Hey, I don’t play chess, okay?) Cyrus smiles.
Michael asks what Dex did with the flashdrive, and Dex says he intended to burn it. Carly asks what he means, intended? and Dex says he should have burned it, but he got derailed by work and ended up throwing it away in a public trashcan. (Once again, Dex, spy extraordinaire.) Carly asks what the hell he was thinking, and Dex says he looked at the fragments of the flashdrive; it was totally destroyed. Josslyn says, Carly did smash it pretty hard, and Dex says he doesn’t see how anyone could have gotten anything off of it. Michael says, they’re not talking about anyone; they’re talking about the federal government. If Dex was being followed, someone could have seen him throw it into the trashcan and the Feds could have retrieved it. Carly says, that’s right, and they have the technology and resources to pull footage off of the damaged flashdrive. Michael says, that footage will be all they need to slap NSA charges on Sonny, and Josslyn says, they’re getting way too ahead of themselves. They don’t even know for sure if the Feds have it. (And if the flashdrive was involved, why would they have even needed the raid?) Michael says, the flashdrive would have given them enough evidence to arrest Sonny and probably convict him. Their actions could put Sonny away for the rest of his life. Lots of soap looks all around, including the moss bowl🎍.
Dante comes downstairs looking fresh, and Sam says, perfect timing. One coffee for him. She hands him the cup, and he thanks her. He says he always kind of knew this day was coming. He hoped it wouldn’t, but it was coming. He guesses the bright side is, he wasn’t the one who had to bust his father. She says, that would be a heavy guilt to carry on his shoulders, and he says, being a cop is complicated. He has to say he’s kind of conflicted here. He knows the difference between right and wrong, but the difference can be inches or miles. He’s arrested people who were guilty who he knew would never see the inside of a jail cell. Conversely, he’s arrested people who have made terrible mistakes who ended up paying for it for the rest of their lives. When he found out Sonny was his father, their moral codes couldn’t have been more vastly different. He got to know Sonny and see the good in him, and even to understand why he did some of the things he did. He’s thinking now is maybe they’re inches apart, not miles apart. At the end of the day, Sonny is his father, so what is he going to do? Sam says, be there for him. They’ll all be there for him. Dante says he’s got to admit, part of him is hoping Sonny beats the charges one more time.
Diane says she’s seriously considering playing softball for the Corinthos Coffee team, but she hears Carly has become one hell of a pitcher for Kelly’s, and Sonny says, that’s true. She says she’s not surprised. She’s wild. She might give Sonny some competition this year. Of course (🍷) the team to beat is always General Hospital. That Elizabeth Baldwin is so nice and sweet when she takes care of patients in the hospital, but she’s brutal on the field. He says, that’s why they need her. They could use a shortstop and centerfielder. She says, okay. She’ll play centerfield. That way, at some point, she’ll be pitted against Alexis and her Invader team. She both loves and misses a good Diane/Alexis match. Fed #1 comes in, and Diane thanks him for joining them. Her client still isn’t going to answer any of his questions, unless he wants to talk softball. Fed #1 says, if Mr. Corinthos isn’t going to cooperate, there’s no use wasting her and their valuable time, and she says, good. Fed #1 says, Mr. Corinthos can return to his holding cell for 72 hours until his court arraignment. Fed #2 comes in with handcuffs, and Diane asks if cuffs are really necessary. Fed #1 nods, and as Fed #2 cuffs Sonny, Diane says she’s sorry. He’s correct. The case is going to be heard in the Federal District of New York, and these are Federal NSA charges. She won’t be able to get him off this time.
In the hallway, Fed #2 gives Wallis the report he asked for, and Wallis says, let’s see those photos. He looks at I don’t know what, and says, jackpot.
Tomorrow, Alexis tells Nina that if Sonny goes to prison, she’s vulnerable; Anna says, something’s off; Montague tells Sasha, this isn’t over until he says so; and Cody yells, let me go!
🌎 It’s a Small World After All…
It’s like when I moved to NYC and my dentist’s nurse turned out to be from my hometown in Ohio.
I don’t know if this reviewer was sleeping through the first episodes, but news flash, they’ve been nasty from the jump, with the exception of Jenna. Apparently, they perceive her as the weak one just because she’s not mean.
Stop in tomorrow for soap and hating on the OC. Until then, stay safe, stay not swimming when there are riptides, and stay not saying anything unless your attorney is present.
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)
General Hospital
At the Quartermaine mansion, Chase says he doesn’t want to dump all his problems on Willow, but she says she doesn’t feel dumped on. She’s flattered that he thinks she can help. Besides, he seems different today. Like there’s less of a burden on him. He says, it’s true. They’re having a family sit-down – him, mom, dad, and Finn. She says, that’s great, and he says they have to find a way to move forward. She asks what that looks like, and he says he honestly doesn’t have a clue. All he knows is, as mad as he is at his mom and Finn for lying to him and his dad, nothing will get better if he keeps avoiding them. She says she’s happy for him. Facing each other is the first step. The last time she saw him, he couldn’t even be in the same room as his mom. What changed things? He says, she did.
Michael picks up Wiley’s toys in the foyer, when there’s a knock at the door. He opens it, and Ned walks in. Michael asks if Olivia is expecting him, and Ned says, good afternoon to him too. He says he’s actually there to check on Brook, and Michael says, because Brook is his daughter, or because she’s using her unborn child to manipulate Valentin? Ned says, can’t he be worried about both?
Holding a plate of sushi, Brook puts her feet up, and says, finally, some me time. Olivia runs in, and snatches the plate from her, saying, whoa-whoa! Is she out of her mind?
Valentin opens his room door, and Carly strides in. She says she doesn’t know if he’s been keeping up with the local news, but Jason was denied bail, and has been remanded to Pentenville where he has to await trial. Valentin says, it’s not all that surprising, considering Jason’s reputation and extensive rap sheet. She says, Jason is innocent; Peter’s the killer. He says, that’s going to be difficult to prove, just ask Obrecht. She says, there’s no comparison, but he says, sure there is. They’re both notorious outlaws. Peter also benefited from Franco’s widow discovering Jason standing over the body. She asks if he’s going to help her prove that Jason is innocent, or just sit there acting like he can’t do anything. He says he wants Jason exonerated because he wants Peter convicted, but that’s going to take time. It’s going to take patience. Carly says, she knows Jason would tell her the same thing, and they’re both wrong. Cyrus doesn’t want Jason convicted out of the goodness of his heart. He wanted Jason in Pentenville because he’ll be an easy target. Valentin says he was under the impression Jason could take care of himself, and she says she’ll feel better when Jason is free, and the only way to do that is to prove Gladys is lying.
At the MetroCourt lounge, Cyrus looks at his phone and tells Brando, it appears justice has finally been done for once. Jason Morgan was denied bail at his arraignment, which means he has some business to attend to. Brando asks where he can take Cyrus, and Cyrus says, this is a personal matter. Why doesn’t Brando stay and have lunch? Put it on his tab.
Sasha runs into Gladys in the dining room, and says it’s nice to see her again. Gladys asks if Sasha is in a rush. There are a few things she needs to talk to Sasha about.
Laura is concentrating on her laptop, and Doc sneaks up behind her, kissing her neck and startling her. She says he’s bad, and he says he could think of a lot more sinister activities to spend their afternoon with than going over proposals. She says, as much as she’d like to join him in those sinister activities, she’s really behind in her work. He says, that’s not like her. She’s the most efficient person he knows. She thanks him, and says her half-brothers have been distracting lately.
On the phone at the gallery, Ava says, Franco’s final works haven’t been evaluated yet. She promises she’ll call them, and thanks them for their interest. Nikolas walks in, and she hugs him, saying she’s happy to see him. She was afraid he was going to stand her up. She knows the centerpieces aren’t a favorite topic of conversation, but she wants everything to come together. She wants it to be perfect for their renewal ceremony. He says whatever she wants is fine, and she asks why she gets the feeling his heart isn’t in this anymore.
Willow gets nervous, and steps away from Chase, pretending to be busy with something. He tells her that he ran into Finn at the MetroCourt, and they had an almost normal conversation. When Finn left, he spotted his mom. He thought about sneaking out, but ended up saying hi instead. She says, good for him; that took emotional courage. He says he wouldn’t go that far, but talking to her helped. She made him realize that the only way to heal was to do it together as a family. Willow says she’s glad. However badly they messed up, Finn and his mom still love him. He says it’s only fair that he do for them what Willow did for him. She says, sorry. He lost her. He says, she forgave him when he told her that he and Sasha only pretended to be together. She heard what he had to say, and found a way to love him again. She gives him a nervous smile.
Olivia says, Brook is pregnant. She isn’t supposed to be eating uncooked fish, or cold cuts, or drinking alcohol… Brook says, actually, the doctor said it’s okay to have a glass of wine every now and then. Olivia says, not in this house, it’s not, and Brook says, okay, but this is a really good source of protein. She grabs the other side of the dish, but Olivia isn’t letting go, and says, so is a meatball. The plate slips from Brook’s grasp, and goes flying out of Olivia’s hand, flinging sushi everywhere. Ned and Michael walk in as Brook says, now look what you did. Olivia says, a broken plate is a small price to pay, and Michael says, see Ned? No reason to worry.
Carly says she thought Valentin had Gladys eating out of the palm of his hand, and he says they had a successful first date, but if he comes on too strong, he tips his hand. Gladys is unrefined, but she’s not stupid. Carly says, she’s not stupid, but she’s vulnerable. She wants to be on the inside; she wants to matter. If Valentin can make her feel that way, he’ll win her over. He asks what Carly would have him do, and she says her hotel staff has been discreetly following Gladys, and know exactly where she is. She hands him his jacket, and says, it’s time he and Gladys had another chance encounter.
Gladys says Sasha knows about Brando’s past history with drug abuse. As his mother, she’s concerned about him getting involved with someone who’s also in recovery. That’s why she was less than cordial with Sasha when they saw each other at Kelly’s. Sasha says, that’s okay. She’s actually involved with someone else. Gladys says, Michael Corinthos. She’s sure Sasha is aware of the family connection, although Michael isn’t really a Corinthos. He was adopted. Be that as it may, Sonny always treated him like gold, when he could have done more for his blood relations. Sasha says she and Brando are just friends, and Gladys says, as it should be. Brando walks in, and Gladys hugs him. She says she ran into Sasha on the way in. It’s so exciting that he knows a supermodel. She tells Brando that she hopes that nice boss of his gave him time for lunch. Can he join her? He says, sure, and asks if she can give him a minute. Gladys tells Sasha it was nice seeing her, and she’s glad they had a chat. She goes off to find a table, and Brando and Sasha walk into the hallway.
Brando asks what the chat was about, and Sasha tells him, let’s just say she gets the feeling his mother is sitting on a whole bunch of loaded emotions. She can see why he was worried she’d make a scene at his son’s funeral. She says she’s sorry; that was incredibly offensive. He says, it’s not that. He hasn’t been honest with her.
Doc tells Laura, so Cyrus is still playing mind games with her, and she says, he couldn’t wait to tell her it was naïve of her to think Martin was the good brother. Doc says, that’s because Cyrus likes to be the spoiler in other people’s relationships, and she says, to Martin’s credit, he owned up to it. Doc says, to what? and she says, apparently, after the bombing at The Floating Rib, Julian came to Martin. Martin didn’t want to help Julian, but Julian had some photo of Martin with Cyrus, and basically blackmailed him. He says she had to be disappointed, and she says, that wasn’t the worst part. After Martin helped Julian escape, he called Cyrus and alerted him. Julian could have gone to the police, and told them about Cyrus’s involvement. Cyrus would have been in jail. He says, there’s no point in speculating on what could have been, but she has good reason to be disappointed. She says she shouldn’t even be thinking about her brothers. She should be doing the work the good people of Port Charles elected her to do. He says he guesses he’ll put his nefarious attentions for her aside for the time being. He’s going to see about the painting Franco left him. She says she thinks it’s wonderful that Franco left something to him, but she’s not surprised. He’s the most compassionate man she knows. He says, you never know whose life you’re going to touch, and she says, as far as his nefarious activities, they’re not canceled; just postponed. He says he looks forward to that.
Nikolas tells Ava that he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to imply the ceremony wasn’t important to him. She asks, what’s going on? Why is he all doom and gloom? He says he tried calling Spencer, then tried calling again, and both times he got voicemail. Spencer isn’t a precocious ten-year-old anymore; he’s almost a graduate. He doesn’t have to like that they’re committed to each other, or approve of their vow renewal, but he needs to learn to give Nikolas a minimum of courtesy and respect. Spencer doesn’t get to hang up on him months after he’s heard about it. Ava says Spencer doesn’t want her in Nikolas’s life, and Nikolas says, at some point, Spencer has to get over himself. He certainly won’t feel right if Spencer isn’t by his side. She says she knows Spencer will come around. Maybe not tomorrow or next week, but sooner or later he’ll remember that Nikolas is his father, and family is everything. Martin walks in, and says, he for one, couldn’t agree more.
Ned tells Olivia, the broken plate is in the trash, and the sushi is literally down the drain. Olivia says, nothing is damaged, nothing is stained, and Brook says they’re acting like it’s wall-to-wall carnage; it’s not a big deal. Olivia says, Brook was about to eat raw fish, and tells Ned that his daughter isn’t taking care of herself. Brook says she doesn’t think one tuna roll is going to matter, and Olivia says Brook is very pregnant with her first child, and there isn’t one baby book or prenatal vitamin in the house. Ned asks if Brook is more interested in using the baby as leverage, or taking proper care of her health, and Olivia asks, what is he talking about? What leverage? Ned asks if Brook wants to tell Olivia, or should he?
At the MetroCourt, Carly watches Gladys sitting at a table, and Valentin sitting at the bar. Gladys gets up, and goes over to Valentin. She asks if he remembers her, and he says, Miss Corbin. She tells him to call her Gladys, and he says, as if he could forget her. Is she alone? Can he buy her a drink? She says he certainly may, and sits next to him.
Brando tells Sasha, Dev wasn’t his son, and she says she doesn’t understand. He says, Sonny met Dev in Turkey. Dev helped Sonny out of a jam, and Sonny offered to do what he could for Dev. Dev took the offer literally, and made his way to Port Charles without papers or a valid visa. He risked being deported back to Turkey where his life was in danger. Sonny gave Dev a new ID, and because Brando’s mom told Sonny that he was dead, Sonny invented a story that Dev was his son. Sasha wonders why Gladys would tell everyone Brando was dead. Why would she do that? He says, it’s complicated and dysfunctional, like most things in his family. By the time he got to Port Charles, Dev was legally his son, and Sonny asked him to play along. She asks why he agreed, and he says, it kept Dev safe. He’s never been to Turkey, but knows there’s a lot of unrest. He couldn’t have looked at himself in the mirror if Dev had gotten deported. She says she doesn’t know what to say, and he says she shared her dirty laundry with him, and he wants her to trust him like he trusts her. She says he can trust her. She promises not to share anything he tells her. He thanks her, and she asks if this means Michael knew.
Michael sees Willow and Chase laughing together, and says, sorry. He didn’t mean to interrupt. Chase asks why Michael is apologizing; it’s his house. Michael says, don’t let his grandma hear that, and Chase says, because…? Willow says, because Alan built the house and gave it to Monica, and Michael adds that Tracy never forgave Monica. Willow says, everyone else who lives here are just guests, and Chase says, now that he’s been enlightened, he has to get to the station. He kisses Willow’s cheek, and leaves. Michael says, it looks like things are going well with her and Chase.
Ava tells Martin that he intruded on a private moment, and he says he thought the gallery was open. She says, they’re on a break. Maybe he could come back later. He takes it he’s unwelcome, and Nikolas asks if he expected otherwise from family. Martin says, like it or not, it’s what they are. His half-sister is Nikolas’s mother, and that makes Nikolas his nephew. Nikolas says, as it happens, he and his mother spoke this morning. She told him what Martin did for Julian. Martin says he sees Laura told Nikolas everything, and Ava says, no one told her. What exactly did Martin do for her brother? Nikolas says, after Julian was linked to the bombing at The Floating Rib, Martin helped Julian get away.
There’s a knock at the door, and Laura wonders if Doc forget his key again. She opens the door, but it’s Cyrus, who says, hello, sis.
Olivia asks if Brook is using her unborn child as leverage in a stock maneuver. Has she lost her mind? Brook thanks Ned for throwing her under the bus, and says she already loves the baby very much. Ned tells Brook to stop feeling guilty for selling her ELQ shares to Valentin. He’s forgiven her. She says she won’t forgive herself if they don’t regain control of ELQ. She doesn’t see the problem. Ned tells her they’re just making sure her health is her first priority, and she says she knows they don’t believe it, but her baby is her priority. She storms out, and runs into Chase by the front door.
Michael asks if Willow has a second, and she says, sure. What’s up? He says he wanted to make sure they were on the same page as far as Nina not seeing Wiley for the time being. He apologizes for making the decision without her, and she says, apology accepted. She gets that it was right in front of him, and he had no time to call her for a consultation. She agrees that until Nina has time to work through her grief, and gain a more realistic understanding of who Nelle was, she shouldn’t see Wiley. He says, if Nina presses the issue, they’ll deal with it together, and she says, it’s a messy situation. She can’t help feeling bad for Nina. He says, Sasha said almost the same thing.
Brando tells Sasha that he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to cause trouble between her and Michael. She says she knows. The fact is, there were too many months when Michael couldn’t trust her with a revelation like that, but Brando did. He says, it was his secret to tell. Not that he can count on his mom keeping her mouth shut.
Gladys tells Valentin about Brando’s old heap of a car. She thinks he got all the parts from the junkyard. Even as a teenager, he had an interest in fixing cars. Valentin says Brando has her smile, and she says, he thinks so? She always thought Brando had a nice smile. She shows him a picture, and he says, that’s not a car from a junkyard. She says, it’s hers. Sonny bought it for her as a gift. She hopes Valentin doesn’t hold it against her that she’s related to Sonny, and he says in the short time he’s known her, he can tell she’s not like Sonny, or anyone else in the Corinthos family. She says she heard Valentin snatched Michael’s business out from under him, so she guesses Valentin is no friend of theirs either. He says, it’s good for Michael to feel disappointment from time to time. It builds character. She says, maybe it’s not a good idea for Valentin to be sitting with her. The black widow is shooting daggers at them. Valentin suggests they finish their drinks and retire to a different venue that’s more private.
Martin tells Ava, he had no idea her brother had anything to do with the bombing. He thought Julian was fleeing in fear of Sonny, and for the record, he was coerced. He had no choice. Nikolas says If Julian hadn’t run, he could have testified against Cyrus, who was ultimately responsible. Martin says he’d never protect Cyrus if there was evidence of his wrongdoing, and Ava says, come on. Martin says he remembers she sheltered her brother to protect him from Sonny, but she says, that was before she knew the damage Julian had caused, and knew Lulu was a victim. Martin says he deeply regrets his reaction to her brother’s extortion, but that’s not why he’s there. He’s worried about Laura. Cyrus is about to pull her into his very dangerous orbit.
Cyrus says Laura has a beautiful home. He’s not surprised, since she’s a woman of taste and refinement. She says she’s also a woman with limited patience. Why is he here? He says now that she realizes Martin has his own closet full of skeletons, he hopes she renews her effort in retrieving his mother from Jason’s clutches. She says his mother isn’t really kidnapped. Jason moved her, but Martin is fine with it, and he’s in control of her medical care. Cyrus says his less than sainted brother can’t make those decisions if he’s not in their mother’s presence, and she says, his problem is with Martin and Jason, not her. He says, yet she has some influence over both of them, but she says there’s nothing she can do to help him find his mother. There is something he can do.
Martin says his brother has a certain amount of – for lack of a better word – charisma. Cyrus knows it, and knows how to use it to gain leverage in getting someone to do his bidding. Nikolas says his mother is immune to that, but Martin says Cyrus sees Laura as the flipside to his own coin. He sees Nikolas’s mother as a kindred soul; both of them rebellious and reckless. He sees them both as people who take chances, and are comfortable with a certain amount of risks. Laura takes risks for the common good, but Cyrus sees them as having the same wild streak. He’ll use his wiles and chip away at her defenses. He’ll find and twist whatever darkness he thinks is buried. Ava says, Laura isn’t like Cyrus, and Martin says he agrees, but Cyrus doesn’t. Therein lies the problem. Laura needs her family to protect her. Nikolas says, understood, and Martin says, it’s a charming gallery. He hopes Ava allows him to return one day, perhaps to buy some artwork. He leaves, and Ava asks if Nikolas thinks Martin is telling the truth that Cyrus is a threat to Laura, but Nikolas says he’s not sure.
Cyrus says he’ll take any advice Laura wants to give him, and she says, okay. Jason only took Cyrus’s mother as an insurance policy to keep his family and friends from being attacked. Cyrus has a reputation for going after families. Cyrus says, nothing but lies… and she tells him, stop it. Take responsibility for the crimes he’s committed, including the ones against her daughter. If he did that, Jason wouldn’t think he’s a threat anymore, and won’t hide his mother. He asks if she’s saying he should confess to his alleged crimes, and she says, yes, and serve the sentence he’s given. He says he’s not going back to prison, and she says, so his statement that he’ll do anything to protect his mother was just hyperbole. He says she just took sides in a real alleged turf war, and she asks what that means. He says he told her they were more alike than she was willing to admit. He’s made his case.
Brando thanks Sasha for understanding, and she says, the same to him. They see Valentin and Gladys clink glasses, and Brando asks if that isn’t Valentin Cassadine. Sasha says, it sure is. She didn’t know Valentin knew Brando’s mom, and says if she was him, she’d keep an eye on Valentin. He’s not dangerous per se, but she knows firsthand that he doesn’t do anything without an underlying agenda. She has to go, and Brando says he’ll see her around. Sasha leaves, and Brando watches Gladys laughing with Valentin.
Willow tells Michael that she’s glad she’s not the only one who’s sympathetic to Nina. She knows Nina will get in a place where it’s okay for her to have contact with Wiley, but hopes it’s sooner than later. She says, sorry. It sounds like she’s pressuring him, but he says, don’t apologize. He likes hearing her opinion. Willow says, if that’s true, Michael has a T-shirt with holes and grass stains on it that’s got to go. He says, it’s his lucky T-shirt. He doesn’t know how many games he’s watched in it. His team doesn’t always win, but they’re above the statistical average. She asks if he thinks the shirt helps, and he says, it can’t hurt. She says she’d never have guessed he was superstitious, and he says there’s a lot she doesn’t know about him. She says she knows he’s fundamentally a fair person, and she appreciates him keeping an open mind about Nina. He says, good to hear they’re both on the same side of the argument, and she says she’s glad Sasha got through. He says, it wasn’t Sasha. It was her.
Ned and Olivia argue loudly, and Brook tells Chase, it sounds like World War III. He says, it’s none of his business, but she says their volume makes it everyone’s business. They were discussing her pregnancy. He asks if Ned and Olivia aren’t happy about it, and she says, it’s not the pregnancy; it’s her. And things are going just the way she wants. In the living room, Olivia says she loves Ned’s daughter, but this has to be the most irritating thing she’s done. Ned says he knows, and Olivia says they’ve got to stop shouting, and be the adults in the room. They’ve got to save Brook and her baby from Brook. He asks how she proposes to do it, and she says, march over to Valentin, and tell him what Brook is up to.
Brando goes over to Gladys, who apologizes for forgetting about lunch. She wonders where her manners are, and introduces Brando to Valentin. Valentin introduces himself, and says Brando’s mother says he’s into cars. Maybe he’s found a new mechanic. Brando says he’s always happy to have new customers, and asks if he can see Gladys for a second. She says, of course (🍷), and tells Valentin she’ll be right back. She steps away with Brando, and Valentin slides her phone over and looks at it.
Brando asks how Gladys knows Valentin, and she says, he’s just a new friend. Brando isn’t worried about her, is he? He says he only knows Valentin by reputation, and it’s quite colorful. She says, if it matters that much to him, she’ll let Valentin down easy, and they can have lunch, but keep in mind, she’s grown and makes her own decisions.
Valentin sends a text with a phone number. Then he reads, message blocked. Gladys asks what he’s doing with her phone, and he says she caught him. He was trying to sneak in his number, so they didn’t have to depend on running into each other. Did he overstep? She says she’ll forgive him this once, and he asks if he can buy her lunch to make up for it. She says she promised to have lunch with Brando. Another time? He touches her arm, and says he looks forward to it.
Olivia tells Ned, Valentin is staying at the MetroCourt; he’s not hard to track him down. He says, they can’t do that, and she says she understands that he doesn’t want to interfere, but that’s what family does. They stop the people they love from making dangerous choices… Wait a minute. They both agree that Brook using her baby as a bargaining chip for ELQ shares is a bad idea, right?
Chase tells Brook, he knows that look. She’s up to something. She says her dad and Olivia both agree that she’s not making her baby a priority, and Chase asks if that’s true. She says, of course (🍷) it’s not true. She might not be conventionally maternal, and she’s not devoting three hours to prenatal yoga, but if Olivia and Ned want to worry all day, having a common cause is good for their marriage. Chase says, she wants them together? and she says, of course (🍷). They belong together. Olivia gets on her last nerve, but she’s a great lady, and her dad is crazy about her. Brook deleted one voicemail, and her all of a sudden, her dad moves out. Chase says she can’t take the world one her shoulders; they bear the responsibility themselves. She says, maybe, but she has to help anyway. He says, good luck… as long as it doesn’t involve him arresting her again. She asks if he’d dare arrest a pregnant woman, and he says, try him.
Laura tells Cyrus, he’s said his piece; now it’s time to go. He gets up, and she opens the door, saying, she has to get back to work. He says, the fortunes of the Corinthos family are changing. Jason can’t run the businesses from prison. She has the opportunity and power to prevent an all-out war. If she chooses not to, any blood spilling on the street is on her hands. From the hallway, Nikolas grabs Cyrus, and shoves him up against the door frame, telling him, stay the hell away from my mother.
Gladys tells Brando that Valentin is a charmer, and he says, until he stabs you in the back. She says he shouldn’t judge Valentin so harshly. He’s allowing Carly and Michael to cloud his judgement. They’re hardly reliable sources. He says, Sasha warned him too, and she asks if Sasha’s opinion means that much to him. He asks if that’s a problem, and she says, no.
Carly asks what Valentin found out, and he says, Gladys has been receiving call from an unlisted number, starting the day Franco Baldwin was murdered. He did a quick online search, and it belongs to a disposable burner phone. She asks how much he wants to bet that phone belongs to Cyrus.
Cyrus tells Laura to tell her son to release him, or there will be consequences. Nikolas says he loves consequences; bring it on. Laura asks him to let Cyrus go, please, and he does. Cyrus says, isn’t this lovely? A family reunion. Nikolas asks what Cyrus wants with his mother, and Laura says, he wants his mother. He’s upset because she told him that she couldn’t help him. Cyrus says, fine. If she doesn’t want to help protect the lives of her family, perhaps her son will want to protect the lives of his.
Doc comes into the gallery, and Ava says, what a nice surprise. He says Franco left a work for him, and she says, it’s in the back. She sees a package marked fragile in his hands, and she asks if he came bearing gifts. He says, maybe, but he found it outside. She says it’s probably name plates she ordered, or maybe it’s a wedding gift. She starts to open it, and he says Laura told him that they were renewing their vows. She says, yes they are. It’s so exciting, but she’d expect a wedding gift to be wrapped… She tosses the package onto the floor, and a hand falls out.
Willow tells Michael that she doesn’t understand. He said Sasha agreed with her. He says Sasha did agree, but it just helped him realize that her opinion means more to him than Sasha’s does. She says, it makes sense. She is Wiley’s mom, which is exactly what I was just thinking. He says it means more to him than her being Wiley’s mom. How she feels matters. She says he matters to her too. They’re about to kiss, when Sasha walks in.
Ned tells Olivia that he wishes Brook wasn’t in this situation, but like it or not, she’s having Valentin’s baby. She says, that doesn’t give Brook the right to use her unborn child to manipulate Valentin, and Ned says, he gets what she’s doing. It’s for the family. She says, spoken like a true Quartermaine, and he says, in this case, is it such a bad thing? Olivia says she was so heartbroken when Ned and Brook were on the outs. She hated seeing Ned put the company in front of family. She prayed like hell that he and Brook would find their way back to each other, but she never dreamed it would be because Brook started thinking more like him. God help Valentin. He has a helluva surprise coming.
Brook looks uncomfortable as she gets on her bed. She pulls up her shirt, and undoes her fake pregnancy belly.
Tomorrow, Sasha asks Michael if she walked in on a moment, Alexis says there’s not much time before she has nothing but time, Ava takes a gun from her purse and says she never goes anywhere without protection, and Cyrus says it doesn’t have to be that way.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht
The guests go to bed, and Daisy says, it was a sh*t show. She had to hunt down the boys to participate. Colin tells Gary, it wasn’t too bad. The things we do… Jean Luc flirts with Dani in the laundry room.
In the morning, Natalie suggests a surf and turf dinner, and Daisy says she’ll just write down what the guests want for breakfast, and basically that will be it. She doesn’t want a repeat of yesterday. In Daisy’s interview, she says now she knows she has to check every order. It’s pretty annoying. She tells Gary that yesterday was sh*t for her. If he sees they’re busy, he should ask the deck crew to help. It’s not just making her look bad, but the whole crew. In Gary’s interview, he says if interior needs a hand, and they’re not busy, fine; but if they’re busy, to give someone up would be shooting himself in the foot. If he says they can’t help, it’s for a good reason. Glenn tells Daisy about the city they’ll be docking at, and in his interview, he says, it’s not an ideal maneuver, but it’s the perfect backdrop for tonight’s proposal.
Daisy asks Natasha to make a fruit platter, and Barrie tells Tony, happy birthday. Daisy tells him that he doesn’t look a day over 40. I don’t know how old he is, but… no. Daisy fills Alli in on the birthday festivities, and says Barrie is also proposing to Scott. She takes breakfast orders, and Glenn tells the crew to take out snorkel gear and paddleboards for starters. Gary says he’ll get his swim gear. Breakfast is served, and Daisy tells Natasha that the guests are happy. Gary tells Sydney to go with the guests in case they need a hand, and take a pool noodle. Barrie asks Daisy to be there with the champagne when he proposes. She says she hopes they’re enjoying themselves, and he says, it’s amazing. Daisy goes over the evening’s logistics with Natasha.
Jean Luc watches the eight kids snorkeling, and counts them. I understand this, since at one point, I had 8 small dogs. I was constantly counting. Gary flirts with Alli, and Natalie goes over the dinner menu with Tony, who complains again that his last meal was cold. Natalie says she’s gotten Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, and a cotton candy machine. Gary tells Colin that he got an earful from Daisy. He knows she’s busy, but he can’t always help.
Jean Luc asks Natalie if she’s really whipping up cotton candy. Natalie tries to work the machine, and apparently it’s harder than it looks at the county fair. In Natasha’s interview, she says she has more important stuff to deal with than a candy fluff machine. The guests want steak and lobster, and all the shenanigans that go with it. I had no idea shenanigans went along with surf and turf. Have I been missing out on something? She says she’s over it. She’s not doing it. Glenn says the place where he wants to dock is busier than he thought it would be. In his interview, he says he’s concerned about the anchors being far enough away to do their job. He’s going to be dropping anchor a few meters away from a bunch of little boats, and from where he is, he’s flying blind. He’s relying on the crew. Barrie tells Scott, it will be a night to remember. He watches as Glenn docks, and says, it’s a tight hole the boat has to squeeze into. And it is. In Glenn’s interview, he says, you know what won’t make it the perfect evening? Crashing into one of these little boats while he’s trying to dock. Barrie thinks Glenn is going to make it, and Gary says, looking good. He tells the deck crew, golden team.
In Daisy’s interview, she says, there’s a lot going on. They have turn-downs, dinner, and a secret proposal on the fly bridge. And no one can know what’s going on. She tells Alli that she needs candles and roses. Natasha prepares the lobsters, and Daisy asks Gary for help. She hopes they never have nine guests again. The guests sit for dinner, and Alli asks Sydney to help her. They set up tealights on the bridge with rose petals in the middle. Daisy and Dani serve, and Jean Luc asks if he can help. Natasha says, everyone loves to see you, babe, and he brings some dishes to the table. When he’s done, he says, back to scrubbing, bitch.
Barrie thinks the food is delicious, but Tony gripes that the streak is a bit overcooked. While helping light candles, Sydney tells Dani that she doesn’t get big romantic gestures. She’s almost always attached. When she’s not, if her girlfriends are busy, she just goes through the roster to see whose available. She doesn’t know if it’s a need for attention. In Dani’s interview, she says she’s not that person. She values herself more than that. In Sydney’s interview, she says she and Gary work well together, but she’s glad for a day off, since she doesn’t know where they stand. The candles are lit, and Daisy calls the crew to the main saloon. Daisy asks Natasha where the cotton candy machine is, and Natasha says, it was too much. Daisy says the whole point was they were making a big deal of it. In Daisy’s interview, she says, Natasha went rogue and she’s angry. If you don’t want to do it, that’s fine. Just say so, but not after you’ve told the guests. In Natasha’s interview, she says, calm down; it will be fine. It was just a suggestion. It’s not an effing five-year-old’s birthday party; it’s adults they’re dealing with. The crew sings HappyBirthday (very lamely) to Tony, Natasha brings out the cake, and Tony cries. Barrie wonders about the cotton candy, and Daisy says she’s sorry. It’s unclear what she made up, if anything. In her interview, she says it’s time for her to put on her fake smile and distract them with drinks. Hopefully they’ll just forget about deserts. Vodka shots make it all good, and Daisy gripes that Natasha didn’t wait for her when bringing out the cake.
Barrie asks if Scott loves him, and Scott says he does. They go to the fly deck, and see the rose petals and candles, and Daisy waiting with champagne at a discreet distance. Barrie says the reason he asked Scott if he loved him, was because… He shows Scott a ring, and says he wants to ask Scott to marry him. Daisy opens the champagne on the stairs, and the pop is loud. Scott says, yes, and Sydney runs to tell the others. Scott looks out over the water, and says, it’s effing beautiful. Everyone comes upstairs – kids and crew – and there are hugs all around. Dani tells Jean Luc about the ring, which is huge, and he asks if that’s love. In Alli’s interview, she says she thinks Gary is just horny, but at the same time, it’s nice to have attention.
Scott says he hasn’t done a shot in 8 years, and everyone drunkenly dances around. Barrie takes daughter Saffron to her room, where she promptly throws up. Behind the closed door, we hear Barrie say, good God. Dani kisses Jean Luc, and in her interview, she says, cute. They kiss some more in the galley, and Dani says, romantic night. Jean Luc says he’ll never finish with the dishes. In his interview, he just laughs. The stews gather up the candle/petal remains, and Sydney cleans the deck. Jean Luc tells Glenn, it’s going good. Dani says, for future reference, don’t use so many candles.
It’s the final day of charter, we see towels hanging up, with a post-it note that says, towels with vomit. Bleh. The anchors are home, and Glenn heads out. Barrie asks how Saffron’s head is, and Daisy tells him they’ll be disembarking at 3. She asks Glenn if they’re sailing, and he says, you almost always want to sail. She asks what they should do about service, and he wonders if they can just attach food bags to the guests like a trough. He tells her that he thinks they’ll sail gently. Barry announces to the family, Saffron was throwing up everywhere. Lunch is fabulous – muscles, pad Thai, and red curry. Glenn tells Tony and Barrie that they’re going to do more sailing, and the sails are put up. Natasha asks if there’s a lot of wind, and Colin says, a little bit. Stuff starts falling, and Natasha yells for help. Daisy says she told Glen, and service is in five minutes. Glenn radios the crew that they should be leveling off in ten seconds. Drawers start falling open, and Jean Luc and Colin help block things in the galley.
Glenn says they should be on an even keel for the rest of the meal, and lunch is served. Barrie says, it’s absolutely scrumptious, which sounds like something Mary Poppins would say. He says, it’s incredible, and Natasha did a super job. In Natasha’s interview, she says she finally likes him now, but she’ll be happy to see him leave. Natasha and Alli chant, we’re on the home stretch, and the boat docks. A drawer has opened in Daisy and Dani’s cabin, and it blocks the door from opening. There’s a lot of laughing and trying to squeeze in, but they finally have success. While bringing the guests’ luggage to the dock, Gary wonders how many pairs of shoes do you bring on a boat? Having been guilty of overpacking myself, I can answer that – a lot.
The guests say goodbye, and Tony says, it was absolutely amazing. He feels like he’s known the crew for years. Barrie says, and they want to pinch some of the crew (i.e. steal, but he probably means it the other way too). He gives Glenn the tip envelope, and thanks the crew for everything. Daisy says she hated them, but grew to love them. Glenn says they have a lot to get accomplished, and they start cleaning the boat. Glenn calls the crew to the main saloon for the tip meeting.
He says it was their third charter, and the toughest they’ve seen yet. The deck team did a good job with the toys, and helping out the interior. He appreciates it. He knows it was tough for the interior; having nine guests is usual. Daisy says it was a challenge, but thinks with Natasha, it was just miscommunication. Going forward, whatever she says, goes. She’ll take responsibility for whatever goes wrong. In Natasha’s interview, she says they don’t need to air their grievances in front of everyone. Daisy says they physically can’t do it without the support of the rest of the team. If Gary sees something isn’t right, instead of her having to be the chief bitch, as per usual, he could jump in. She’s not having a go at him, but when she needs support, she’d like some initiation on Gary’s part. Gary wonders when the deckhands are supposed to get a break. His department isn’t just doing nothing. Daisy says she doesn’t think his people aren’t busy, but she had to ask several times before Gary took action. In Gary’s interview, he says, it’s Daisy’s way or the highway. That’s bullsh*t. No one gets a break as it is. He didn’t join yachting to be a stew. He hates doing dishes.
Glenn says it wasn’t their best charter, and it’s reflected in the tip. It’s probably not as high, considering what they did for the guests. It’s $15K or $1660. Daisy says, it’s bullsh*t, 1000%, and Glenn says he has good news and bad news about tonight. Their next charter is tomorrow afternoon. Even I groan. The good news is, it’s only two nights and three days. They’ll have to turn over the boat tonight. It’s a legit school night. In Alli’s interview, she says she feels like someone kicked her in the chest. She’s exhausted, and was looking for a night to blow off steam. The stews get together in one of the guest cabins, and Daisy says, Gary is bad leadership. Gary tells the deckhands that it’s a safety risk. He’s getting six hours sleep as it is. Daisy says they’ll see how the next charter goes. If they’re not progressing… Dani says, she can take it to the next level. Dani confesses to kissing Jean Luc, and they all squeal like it’s a pajama party. Daisy says she’s not sure if Dani should be proud, or if it’s an achievement. They clean the boat, and Gary helps Natasha in the galley. They throw out the muscle shells and gag over the smell. Gary admits most of the pressure is on Daisy and Natasha during the charters.
Natasha listens music in her cabin, and Jean Luc is on anchor watch. In Natasha’s interview, she says she like to take off-time by herself. She doesn’t drink a lot. She doesn’t like having no control, and she feels like she’s losing it. Glenn tells the crew not to stay up late, or they’ll regret it. Alli tells Gary, she enjoys their flirtation, but that’s as far as it’s going to go. Sydney joins them, to no one’s surprise. Daisy and Colin agree whatever was said about helping was nothing personal, and Daisy is glad there’s no tension between them. In Dani’s interview, she wonders why everyone likes Gary (you and me both, sister), and Alli tells Dani, Gary is the person she’s most attracted to. Dani tells Alli, just have fun, and Alli says maybe she’s warmed up to the idea more than she expected she would.
The girls acts like idiots, yelling, party! and Colin tells them, Glenn is asleep. Alli begs Jean Luc to be a part of the party, and flips on the light in his cabin. His response isn’t a happy one, and she tells the others that he was dead asleep; it didn’t go down well. In her interview, Alli says she’s going to allow herself to explore something she’s enjoying. She’s allowed to get to know Gary more. They go out for a smoke, and Sydney smells it in the air. She comes out on the pretense of getting something, and Gary tells her to stay, confusing all of us. In Alli’s interview, she says, now it’s made even more awkward. Dani tells Colin, at least someone is getting busy on the boat, and he says she could be, but she says, no. Glenn, who apparently wasn’t sleeping, comes out and says he’ll see them bright and early at 7 am. Daisy goes to bed, and Alli, Sydney, and Gary keep having one more cigarette, and onemore shot. In Alli’s interview, she says it’s impossible for her and Gary to get to know each other when they’re interrupted every time. And 90% of the time, that person happens to be Sydney. First of all, she has Gary to thank for that, and secondly, getting to know her isn’t what Gary wants to do. Unless she means in the biblical sense. At 1:30 Alli goes to the bathroom, and Sydney tells her to bring the final shot back. In her interview, Alli says, this is the weirdest throuple she’s ever been in. Oh, been in a lot of them, has she? In Gary’s interview, he says he has no objection, but no way is it happening. Daisy tells Alli that Sydney is being territorial, and Alli says she doesn’t know what’s going on.
Alli comes back, just wearing a big T-shirt, and Gary says, the Three Musketeers. He suggests they go swimming, clothes optional. I think about all the lectures given about swimming drunk on these shows, and have the feeling even Glenn wouldn’t sanction this. Sydney says, it’s naked or nothing. In Gary’s interview, he says he can’t let two naked girls just jump in the water. What if they start drowning? Helping them is his main concern. Alli jumps in first, and Gary sort of pushes Sydney, and then follows. Later, on Watch What Happens Live, Andy called it a three-way pants off cannonball, which sounds pretty accurate. Glenn hears the splashes, and is like, WTF?
Time to jet, but don’t forget about Pooch Perfect, on ABC, Tuesday at 8 pm. LVP, Rebel Wilson, and lots of cute dogs – it’s the best! Until we meet again at the corner of Port and Charles, stay safe, stay remembering your value, and stay out of whatever those shenanigans are that go along with steak and lobster.

General Hospital
Ned tells Olivia, all the words we have. All the different ways we have of saying things. All the different lyrics to songs, and it all comes down to one thing. What else is there to say? He loves Brook, and if Brook can’t hear him say it again, he’ll never forgive himself. Portia comes out, and says she spoke to Brook’s surgical team. Ned asks if his daughter made it, and Portia says, she survived the surgery. He says, thank God, but she says, unfortunately, there were some complications.
At the MetroCourt, Franco tells Elizabeth, Ava isn’t trying to destroy their marriage by pushing her closer to Nikolas. Elizabeth says she heard Ava say it, but Franco says, maybe she misunderstood or misinterpreted something. She says, Ava made it very clear that she gets 90% of the Cassadine fortune if Nikolas cheats. That’s why Ava is pushing Nikolas closer to her. Franco suggests it’s the other way around. Nikolas is trying to push him closer to Ava. Elizabeth insists Nikolas would never undermine her happiness like that, but Franco says, obviously he would. She sees Nikolas come in, and says, in that case, why doesn’t she just ask him?
Ava walks into Charlie’s, and tells Julian that she just got an alert about Wiley being missing, and she was concerned Nelle roped him into helping her kidnap Wiley. Julian says, it’s ironic. Sonny thought the same thing. Ava just missed him. She says she’s glad Julian convinced Sonny that he had nothing to do with it, but he says he’s not sure he convinced Sonny. As long as he sticks to his story though, he’s sure Sonny will leave him alone. She says, so there’s a story, and he says Nelle did have use for him after the hearing. Ava says she told him that Nelle would, after he let that harpy – I laugh; who uses that word? – blackmail him into marriage. He says he had no choice, and she says, a gun or a knife. A revolver or automatic. Silencer or no silencer. Those are choices. He says he was hoping to avoid being involved with murder. He though he’d hold his nose for a couple of weeks, and it would be over. She asks what Nelle wanted him to do, and he says he’s the one who snatched Wiley from the Quartermaine mansion.
Sonny arrives at the Quartermaine mansion, and Michael tells him that Nelle’s car was found. Before she absconded with Wiley, she parked in a public lot. Chase says there have been no hits on her phone, but she could have turned it off. The PCPD is searching her car, and the surrounding area. They’ll contact him if they find any clues to Nelle and Wiley’s whereabouts. Michael doubts they will, but Chase says, even the best criminals make mistakes. There’s also still a chance someone will spot them from their photos. Willow says the alert is useless, since Nelle isn’t using her own car, but Michael says, the photos and descriptions are still the same. Someone could recognize them.
In the car, Nelle tells Wiley, he’s a lucky little boy. His mom wasn’t too intimidated to rescue him from Michael’s stepfather. She’s not calling Sonny his grandfather; he’s got no strand of Corinthos blood in his DNA. She can’t say the same for Carly. She’s his biological grandmother, but good news. He’ll never know that. Carly will never see him again.
Chase says he has to get back. He needs to connect with customs and the border patrol, in case Nelle runs to Canada. He promises they’ll get Wiley back. He leaves, and Sonny says he paid Julian a visit, but Julian claims he knows nothing. Michael asks if Sonny believes that, but Sonny says, no. Sonny wants to go to the station, and Carly says she’ll go with him. He says there’s nowhere Nelle can run where he can’t find her. They’ll get Wiley back. Michael says he’s going too, and asks if Willow wants to go. She says she can’t deal with the squad room. Every time someone runs in or the phone rings, she’ll jump out of her skin, thinking it’s about Wiley. She’d rather Michael be there, so when there’s a lead, he can go straight to Wiley. He says he’ll call as soon as he know anything. Wiley will be okay.
Portia tells Ned and Olivia, during surgery, Brook became hypotensive; her blood pressure dropped, and she lost a lot of blood. The problem caused DIC, a condition where tiny blood clots form and block the blood vessels. When the damage is repaired, they can stabilize her, but it’s too risky to continue the procedure right now. Ned asks what that means. Will she be okay, or not? She tells him, that’s difficult to say. They’ve stopped the bleeding, and they’re issuing a transfusion protocol. They’ll do tests to see how she responds once she’s stabilized. Ned asks if he can see her, and Portia says, of course (🍷). She’ll let him know when Brook is settled into her room in ICU. She leaves, and Olivia tells him to focus on the good news. Brook is alive. She made it through the surgery. He’ll get to see her, and when he does, he’ll get to say all the things he didn’t say before. Ned says he knows. He needs to call Lois. Cyrus walks by, and says, what a terrible tragedy. His sympathies. For Ned to have his daughter attacked in such a fashion, who would do such a thing?
Nelle says, Carly was sure she’d won. She probably hand-picked Willow to marry Michael, and Michael fell in line. It never occurred to him to do anything else. Willow is now Mrs. Michael Corinthos, but you know what she doesn’t get? Nelle’s son. Wiley is only hers.
Nina goes to the Quartermaine mansion, and Willow answers the door. Nina says she takes it they haven’t found Wiley, and Willow says Sonny and Michael are confident they will. Nina is sure they’re right, and says he knows they’re not great friends, but if there’s anything she can do to help. Willow says, Michael and his parents are at the station, and said they’d call as soon as there’s news. Nina says she can wait with Willow, and Willow says, thanks, but… Actually, that would be great if she stayed.
Franco says it’s that thing Elizabeth does; she sees the best in people. Case in point. But she’s wasting her time on Nikolas. He’s not a good guy, not even close. He’s awful to Ava, and used Kiki’s death to make Ava think she was crazy. That’s a low blow. Elizabeth says, Ava punished him by forcing him to marry her, but Franco says he doesn’t blame her. He also doesn’t blame her for wanting to leave with every cent, but he can’t see her doing this. Elizabeth says, for the first twenty years of Kiki’s life, Franco believed Kiki was his daughter, and was devastated when he found out the truth. Franco says he and Ava have developed a real, true friendship. She knows how much his and Elizabeth’s relationship means to him. Elizabeth says, sure she does, but she doesn’t care.
Ava tells Julian absconding with a child is worse than aiding and abetting, but he says no one saw him. She asks if he came in through the nursery window, and left the same way, with a toddler on his back, but he says, Monica was in the living room. He chloroformed her; he had to get upstairs to take Wiley to the pier where Nelle was waiting to meet them. She says, please don’t tell her that he handed Wiley over to that sociopathic mother. Julian says he changed his mind. He decided to end his life with Nelle by ending Nelle. She says, a moment of sanity. She likes it, but he says, somebody got the jump on him before he pulled the trigger. They struggled and the guy went down, but he didn’t stick around. He threw the gun in the harbor and took off. Nelle and Wiley were long gone. She asks if the guy was working for Nelle, but he says it was impossible to tell. All he knows is, Wiley is gone because of him. She says, at least he tried to do the right thing, and he says, in the end, he wants to do more than try. He wants to do something about it. She asks if Nelle said anything that might be useful in getting Wiley back, and he says he might know something that could help Wiley.
Ned tells Cyrus, it’s not a good time, and Cyrus says, of course (🍷) not. He just wants Ned to know his resources are at Ned’s disposal. Olivia says Ned’s family practically built the hospital, and Ned says every patient who comes there gets the finest care, with or without the Chairman’s approval. Portia comes back, and tells Ned that he can see Brook now, but keep in mind she’s sedated. She probably won’t wake up for some time, but she can hear him. Ned and Olivia go to find Brook’s room, and Cyrus asks if he can have a word with Portia. He heard about the attack, and wonders how Miss Quartermaine is doing. She says since he’s new to the medical profession, she’ll inform him about the HIPPA laws that ensure a patient’s legal rights to medical privacy. He says he’s familiar with them, and she says then he knows why she can’t give him the information. He says he’s not enjoying her tone at all. Remember, he’s her boss. She says, as if she could forget. He asks if they’re good, or is he going to have a problem? and she asks if the Chairman objects to her using her skills as a doctor to help patients. He says, not at all, and she says, then they don’t have a problem, and walks away.
Sonny tells Carly that Tony the harbor master said all vessels are accounted for. Nothing has left in the last two hours. Carly says, this late, there are no trains or flights, so Nelle has to be on road. Michael runs in, and Carly asks where Willow is. He says she decided to stay home, and Sonny’s phone rings. He steps away to take the call, and it’s Olivia. He asks if everything is okay, and she says, no. She doesn’t know how to say this, but Brook was attacked backstage at the Nurses Ball. He asks how bad it is, and she says, she’s hurt bad. She was stabbed; her throat was slashed. She was rushed into emergency surgery, and she’s in ICU, listed in critical, but stable condition. Sonny thanks her for letting him know.
Chase tells an officer to find Julian, and bring him in. Chase tells Carly and Michael that the hotline has gotten hundreds of calls, but it will take a long time to sift through them. They can eliminate the car sightings, and they’re compiling a list of license plates. Sonny tells them, Brook was attacked at the Nurses Ball, and Carly asks if she’s okay. Sonny , she’s in surgery right now, and Michael asks, why? Sonny says, her throat was slashed, and she’s in critical condition. Michael says Brook called him, but when he called back, she didn’t answer. Chase looks at Michael’s phone, and says, it was around the same time as the attack, and Carly says, it was Nelle. She was supposed to perform at the Nurses Ball, but she never did. Chase says the attack was in one of the dressing rooms, and Michael says, Brook must have overheard what Nelle was up to, and got in her way.
On the phone with Spencer, Nicolas says Ava figures out they were working together. He hasn’t forgot; it’s a minor setback. He has a contingency plan to get Ava out of their lives for good. It’s going to work like a charm.
Elizabeth tells Franco that Nikolas wouldn’t risk it, but he says he doesn’t think she knows what’s at stake. Nikolas will never give up telling Elizabeth that she’s better off without him.
Julian tells Ava that Nelle tracked Wiley through one of his stuffed toys. She asks what he plans to do with that information, and he says if he gives it to the cops, they can track Wiley. Ava says if he tells the cops, in a matter of minutes, Sonny will find out, and when they find Nelle… Julian says Nelle will tell Sonny what she knows about him; that he knew Wiley was Michael’s son. Ava says, and kidnapped him. The only thing the tracker will do is sign his death warrant. He says, the best thing, is if Nelle disappears.
Nelle tells Wiley, Michael never cared about him. Michael only cared about Willow and Carly, and look where it got him. Left alone with Monica watching him. All she needed was to threaten Julian a little bit, and here they are, free and clear.
Chase says there’s no record of Nelle buying or renting another vehicle. Carly says she has cash, or could have borrowed or stolen a car. Julian is brought in, and Michael asks where the hell his son is.
Willow give Nina some tea, and Nina says, this is not okay. Willow isn’t supposed to be waiting on her. Willow says she’s glad for something to do, and Nina says, good; then her visit isn’t in vain. Willow says, don’t get her wrong. It was kind of Nina to come, but… Nina says, why did she? Willow says, well, yeah. She’ll forever be grateful for Nina’s testimony, but on a personal level the best they’ve been able to manage is cordial. Nina says, the answer is surprisingly simple. Because Willow loves Wiley, and she’s a good person. All the love she has is making the uncertainty that much worse. Nina was in a similar situation once, and thought while Willow waits and worries, she was hoping to come there and be supportive. If it means a tea party or listening, she’s there. Willow says, the truth is, she’s beyond afraid; she’s terrified. It physically hurts. Her heart is literally aching at the thought of Wiley being with Nelle. He must be so confused and afraid. She’d give anything to know he’s safe, but how can he be with Nelle? Nina says, for what it’s worth, she spent time with Nelle, and while she saw Wiley as a possession and a weapon, she still thinks of him as her child. They have to believe she’s not going to hurt him. Willow prays she’s right.
Outside of the car, Nelle holds her phone up. She asks, what good is a burner phone with no navigation? She looks at a map, when a woman comes by. She asks if Nelle is lost, and where is she headed?
Elizabeth says Franco has a point; Nikolas isn’t his biggest fan. He wonders why Nikolas is being so friendly. Nikolas keeps telling him how much Ava appreciates his support. Elizabeth wonders if it’s not a good manners reflex, or maybe Nikolas wants a break from his horrible life. The more time Franco spends with Ava, the less she’s with Nikolas. Franco says so when it’s Nikolas pushing him closer to Ava, it’s polite, but when Ava is pushing Nikolas closer to her, it’s a great big plot. She says, to Ava, they’re just collateral damage. She doesn’t trust Ava, and neither should he. He says he doesn’t trust Nikolas, so where does that leave them?
Ned goes into Brook’s room, where a machine is beeping way too loud. He says, it’s her dad. He’s here. He takes her hand.
Ava sees Franco, and asks if something is wrong. He says he and Elizabeth are having a disagreement. She says, what about? and he says, her and Nikolas.
Elizabeth asks if Nikolas has a minute, and he asks, what’s up? She says she and Franco are having a disagreement. He asks if she’s okay, and she says, not really. It might sound silly, but ever since Franco said he’d paint Ava’s portrait, they’ve gotten closer. Ava’s not just dredging up Franco’s past; it’s the way Ava says she knows and understands him that bothers her. He says, she doesn’t think… and she says, no. God no. The problem is, Franco doesn’t see Ava for who she is. It doesn’t matter what she says, but the more time he spends with Ava, the more tense it is at home. After the unveiling, when she thought this portrait business was over, the portrait was vandalized. It’s not as simple as wiping it off; Franco wants to restore it, which means Ava sitting for him some more. She could use Nikolas’s perspective. He lives with Ava. He says, don’t remind him, and she says, even though their marriage was staged, does he think there’s reason to be concerned about Ava and Franco? I’m not sure if she’s serious or she’s setting Nikolas up.
Michael says Nelle couldn’t have done it alone; Julian helped her. Julian says he has no idea where Nelle took Wiley. Carly asks why they should believe him. Nelle had leverage big enough to get him to marry her, so it’s big enough for him to help her take Wiley. Julian says their marriage was built on mistrust; Nelle never confided in him. Chase tells an officer to put Julian in isolation, and tells Michael to let him handle it. Michael’s phone rings. It’s Willow, and he says there’s been nothing new about Wiley. Chase brought Julian in, and they think he knows more than he’s saying, but he’s not incriminating himself. There is something else. It’s not about Wiley, but it’s pretty bad. Brook was attacked backstage at the Nurses Ball. Her throat was slit, and they’re afraid it might be Nelle.
Ned tells Brook that he spoke to her mother in Australia. She’s taking the next flight there from Sydney. When she was little, he sat next to her bed, just to watch her. He strokes her hair, and says, sweet Brook. He never had enough time. He’s so sorry he wasted so much time now. He loves her, and prays she knows that. He should never have thrown her out of the house. It was a pure Edward Quartermaine move, and he’s sorry. He regrets it, and should have stopped himself from making the biggest mistake of his life. It doesn’t change how brilliant, beautiful, and irreplaceable she is. He kisses her forehead, and says, come back to me. Her dad’s waiting for her.
The woman tells Nelle that she hasn’t seen a map in a while. Nelle says she’s having trouble with her reception, and the woman says, it’s sketchy there. There’s only one carrier that gets reception; otherwise, you’re out of luck. Nelle wishes she’d known that, and the woman says, lucky she came along. The road is great for training, and usually deserted. She shows Nelle where she is, and asks where she’s headed.
Sonny goes to the hospital, and finds Olivia. He hugs her and asks how Brook is doing. She says they had to stop the surgery halfway through because Brook was losing too much blood. He asks if there’s anything he can do, and she says, pray, hope, talk to Brook. Brook loves him. He says he loves her too. He hates to ask, but do they have any idea who did it? She says, it was totally senseless. Does he? He says they’re thinking it was Nelle, and she says, what the hell? He says Brook called Michael before she was attacked. Nelle and Wiley are missing, and they’re thinking Brook tried to stop Nelle from taking Wiley. Someone broke in the house, and knocked Monica out with chloroform. When Willow and Michael came home, Wiley was missing.
Nikolas tells Elizabeth that he’s been suspicious for a while, but didn’t want to say anything. He’s walked in on Franco and Ava a few times, and things seemed fraught. Elizabeth says, her marriage and the life they’ve created with the boys means everything to her, and he says, sorry. He knows it’s not what she wants to hear. She says she wants the truth, and he says, here it is. In his opinion, she’s better off without Franco. She says, even if losing him breaks her heart? and he says, she’s a strong, beautiful woman. He knows eventually she’ll find someone worth it who truly makes her happy.
Franco tells Ava, her dark prince husband has weaseled into Elizabeth’s good graces. He’s totally transparent, and Franco hates it. Ava says she’s sure Elizabeth isn’t thrilled that they’ve rekindled their friendship. Franco says, they have, and she says he’s her best friend. She’s glad they’ve gotten closer.
Chase asks Julian if Nelle said or did anything that would give them insight, any detail. Julian says not that he recalls. Chase doesn’t buy it, but Julian says, like he told everyone, Nelle doesn’t confide in him. Chase says, no, but she brags. She thinks she’s the smartest in the whole room, and flaunts it. She drops hints; enough to pique interest, but vague enough that you don’t know what she’s doing. Julian says he can’t think of anything, and Chase tells him, get comfortable. He’s not going anywhere until he gives Chase something.
Chase comes out, and says Julian still says he doesn’t know anything. Michael says he was thinking about sources that don’t involve a car, and when Nelle tried kidnapping Wiley before. Chase remembers the first time, she took a fake passport, and Carly says, it was missing from evidence; that’s why she’s out there. Chase looks up the name that was on it, and says, Barbara and William Langley.
The woman tells Nelle to stay on the road for a mile and a half, and turn right on Occidental. She’ll see a gas station; she can’t miss it. There’s a motel there too. It’s clean and safe. She might want to rest, and start fresh in the morning. Nelle says she’ll be okay. She’s not too far from her destination. The woman notices Wiley, and says, hey. She’s got her little one with her.
Nikolas sees Ava at the bar, and says he thought she went home. She said she was avoiding it, thinking he was there. She was going to have a drink in peace, but fate is playing a prank on her. He asks why she’s avoiding him. Does he make her nervous? She says, sometimes she just needs a break from being his lawful wedded wife. He says he could use a respite from… She says, what? and he says, all of this. She says, for a prince, he’s no prize. He says, they’re stuck with each other; a pity. She says, it’s the worst
Portia tells Olivia, Brook’s blood pressure is stabilizing, and Sonny asks if she has any idea when Brook will wake up. They need to find out who did this. Portia hopes in the next few hours, but to be honest, the throat injury is so severe, she may not be able to talk. I think, she can write.
Chase says he’s caught a break. Barbara Langley purchased a car a week ago. He’s sending out the description, and registration. They’re back on Nelle’s trail.
Willow tells Nina that she’s trying to convince herself that Nell’s not a threat. Brook is an adult, overheard Nelle, and was an obstacle Nelle felt justified in removing. Wiley is Nelle’s child, and most valuable possession, but it’s not hard to think Nelle will also hold on to Wiley more tightly and be more motivated to disappear. There’s no chance she can lie her way out. She slashed Brook’s throat. She’s going to prison forever if she’s caught. She’ll vanish without a trace. Nina says they can only hope, and Willow says, what if Nelle’s plan works, and she’s never caught? Wiley will be out in the world somewhere, and they’ll never know where. Nina gets it. She has a child out there somewhere in the world, and doesn’t know where they are, or if they’re alive. They have to hold on to wishful thinking; the alternative is unbearable. With all of this uncertainty in the world, they have hope. They need to hold on to that, the hope they’ll see their child again, and that wherever they are, they’re living a good life.
Ned says he knows Brook will come back to him. He knows she won’t let him have the last word. Please wake up. She opens her eyes, and he asks if she can hear him. It’s him, her dad. He’s right there.
The woman tells Nelle that her little boy is a cutie. What’s his name? Nelle says, Will, because she’s less than creative. She tells the woman that he’s a light sleeper, and she’s got to get going. It’s the only thing keeping him asleep. The woman tells her to keep to 30 miles and hour; there are blind turns. If she goes more than two miles, she’s passed the turn. She’ll have to turn around or drive for hours. Nelle says, got it, and pulls out. The woman says, miss that turn, and you’ll be driving all night. Her wrist thing beeps, and she says, another alert. Poor lost… Oh my God.
Tomorrow, Sonny asks Brook if it was Nelle who attacked her, Chase meets with the woman who saw Nelle, Epiphany wonders what the hell is going on, and Nelle whines about the sacrifices she makes for Wiley.
The Haves and The Have Nots
Kathryn screams for the guard as Wyatt lies bleeding after cutting his wrists. The guard comes, and calls for help. Another guard runs up, and he says they have to get an ambulance. Kathryn cries, do something; tell her something. The guard says they have to get him to the infirmary, and Kathryn says, that is her son. They carry Wyatt out she says, don’t hurt him please. Tell her something. She alternately cries and screams Wyatt’s name, and wails for them to let her out of there.
Benny looks at Derrick’s picture online, and says, this is that dude. Candace tells him, listen. She doesn’t think… She says, that’s not him. Benny says, bullsh*t. Why is she lying? She says she’s not, and asks what he’s doing. He says, checking the dates. Let this be that dude. She says, relax, and he insists that’s him. He tells her, keep lying in his face. Look at the lion on his chest. She says he’s getting upset for nothing, and he says Hanna was so upset. He thinks she knows. Hanna was hot and bothered for this dude, and now she won’t see him. Candace says, maybe she’s not attracted to him anymore, but he says she didn’t see Hanna. She was in love with him. She says he’s getting too worked up. Doesn’t he see how ridiculous it is for Hanna to date the guy who raped her? He says, the dates; Derrick is her father. She tells him, let it go. There’s no way it could be the same guy. He says, the dates add up. Do not be telling him he’s crazy. She says he never liked Derrick, and never will. Let it go. He says he can’t do that. He wants to get some answers from their mom. Candace says she’s not going to tell him anything. She’ll be mad as hell. Benny says, if their mom won’t tell him, Derrick will. He’ll make Derrick tell. He heads for Hanna’s bedroom, and Candace follows him. He says, she’s not there, and Candace says she needs to finish packing. He says she’s not going anywhere until he finds out what’s going on .
Oliver walks into Landon’s office, and says he’s about to head home, and Landon asks if he needs to announce it. Get his snotty-nose ass out of there. Oliver says he may have some information that might be helpful to Landon, and Landon asks why he’d want to be helpful? Olivas asks if he doesn’t want to know… and Landon tells him, stop acting like he’s seven. Oliver starts to leave, and Landon says, come back and tell him. Oliver says, so now Landon wants to know, and Landon says he’ll have Oliver run over with the biggest, pinkest car he can find. So much of the conversation between these two is nonsense, and/or naughty nonsense, but some of it is funny. Landon says kids with rich parents think they can get a job anywhere, and Oliver says, it’s about Candace. She booked a flight; she’s leaving Savannah. She has a plane ticket booked for tonight. Oliver thinks Candace needs to move on, and Landon says Oliver has no idea of the favors owed to Landon in this town. Oliver says, unless Landon knows how to make the pilot disappear… Landon says, get the hell out. Oliver tells Landon that he should get some sleep; he looks exhausted. Landon calls Oliver an a-hole. When Oliver is gone, Landon makes a call. He says he needs a huge favor. He needs someone put on the no fly list, just short time; it’s legit. Candace Young. Please do it for him. The little bitch thinks she’s playing with them.
At the Iron Bone (my favorite bar name), Sandy asks Mitch how the Black got the money. Mitch calls Sandy an a-hole, and says he told him Benny’s name. Call him by his right name, or Mitch isn’t talking. Sandy asks where Mitch got the new truck, and Vinny says Mitch knows he’ll find out. Where did the money come from? Mitch says Benny got the money to get Vinny off his back. Don’t worry about it. Vinny asks where Mitch got the money for the truck. He’d better not be working for another family. He says, you’ve got to be kidding, James; you’re pulling my leg. They’re on their way. Mitch asks, what happened? and Vinny says, Mama Rose was arrested on a DUI. Mitch asks, who would do that to her? and Vinny tells Mitch, stay and watch the bar. Mitch says she’s his grandma too, but Sandy says he’s not a part of this.

John says, what about her son? and Don says, he has a major drug problem. So they move the money. John agrees, and says they’ve got to call Marty first, but Don says they don’t want to seem too desperate. John asks what they do in the meantime, and Don says, order the biggest steak, and champagne. They’ve got to toast to this. Jim will be in jail soon too. John says, Kathryn went to jail to get away from him. Marty calls John, who says they were just about to sit down for dinner… Copy that. They’ll be there shortly. Wyatt asks if he doesn’t mean their father; he’s nothing like him. Jimmy tells him, if he says so (the phrase of the night). Wyatt says he does. He shot Jim. He wishes he’d killed that bastard. Jimmy asks if he means that, and Wyatt says Jimmy is judging him? He doesn’t give a damn. Jimmy says Wyatt was given everything, and Wyatt says, money? What does money mean? Marty tells them, be careful, and Don says, what does the maid know about it? Marty says he doesn’t know. Kathryn trusts her, and it’s good enough for him; she worked for Kathryn. John says he doesn’t like this, and Marty tells them to set up a meeting. John says, set up a meeting with the maid, and ask her whatever they like? Marty says they heard him, and Don says it reminds him of the Sims account where the mother was incompetent, and signed everything over to her dog. I don’t find this unreasonable, and I’m even thinking of voting for one of mine in the next election. John says, they took her name off, and she lost all power, but John tells them, don’t do it with Kathryn. Let him know after they set up the meeting with the maid. They’re done here.

Back at the restaurant, Don says they have a problem. He’s already moved the money; what if she knows? John says, she’s the maid. What was Kathryn thinking? Don says, she wasn’t, and John says, she’s out of her mind. Don thinks they need to speak to a judge, but John says Marty thought that was a wrong move. Don doesn’t care, but John says a judge will delve into everything. Don says he’s right, and John says, maybe it’s not the worst thing. Don says, a maid doesn’t know about accounting. She’ll see how helpful they can be. If anything is screwed up, they can blame it on her. John says, it’s their cover-our-ass policy. Don wonders if they should speak to Jim. He’s a snake, but he won’t catch on. John suggests they just let this play out. They just have to get it done. Don says, if it goes up in flames, so be it. He wonders if Jim knows about the power of attorney, but John doesn’t think so. They’d have heard about it. They laugh, and Don says by the time Jim knows what’s up, they’ll be in control. John says the world will be better off. At least they know where to find Kathryn.

He says he thought she was Erica’s friend, and she says, that’s the problem when you tell friends about a man who’s good. They all want him. He says he’s not into whores, and she says she’ll quit. She’ll do anything; she’ll get on her knees and beg. He walks away, and she says she’ll do anything for him.

Alissa writhes around in the fountain in front of David’s house, wearing nothing but fancy underwear. The guard says, she’s embarrassing herself. Please get out of the fountain, and put her clothes back on. David watches from the window, and Madison comes downstairs. He says, hello. Did David go to the hospital? David says he did, and Madison says, in his PJs? and David says, yes, still staring at Alissa. Madison says David knows he can look at him, right? David turns around, and Madison says, hi. David says he knows he can, and says hi back. Madison says he was just leaving, and walks outside, telling David, have a great night. He sees Alissa, comes back, and says, Mr. Harrington, there’s a woman in your fountain. Should security be called? David says he’ll take care of it. The guard tells Alissa, please get out of the fountain. As Madison goes to his car, he says, work it, bitch; yes! He tells her, good luck, and gets in his car. The guard asks Alissa again to please get out of the fountain, but she poses all over the place.
Benny looks at his phone, and says, no way. He calls Veronica, and she asks what he’s doing calling her. He says he needs to talk to her, and she tells him, come talk over this bed; she’s horny. He says he needs to talk to her, and she repeats that she’s horny. He says he’s waiting for his mother to get back, and asks if she knows Derrick. She says, who? and he says she represented him. She says if she represented him, she knows him. Benny asks for his address, and she gives him one, but he says that’s her address. She says, come over and get it. Bring the small ones he uses. He asks for the address again, and she says she’ll see him later, hanging up. She sinks into her pillows, and says, beautiful boys, can’t get enough of mama. They have to do better, like David.
Vinny and his boys go to the station. He says he wants to see his mother, and the desk officer asks who his mother is. He says, Rose Malone, and Sandy asks why she’s there. The officer tries to answer, and Sandy asks if he’s stuttering. Vinny asks how it happened. Who the hell was the officer who arrested his mother? The officer says he doesn’t know who they think they are, and Vinny says, they’re the Malones. Who’s he? The officer says he arrested Vinny’s mother. Vinny asks if he’s new, and he says, no. Vinny says he must be, but the officer says she was DUI, so now she’s in jail. They can pick her up tomorrow morning when the court is open. Sandy asks, who the hell is this guy? and Vinny says, he doesn’t know. The officer asks them to leave, and Sandy says, calm down. He doesn’t think the officer understands, but the officer repeats, please leave. Vinny tells him that he said get his mother out of there, and the officer says, get out of here right now. If they don’t leave, he’ll have them all arrested. Vinny says, is that so? Okay. He starts to walk away, but turns around. One of his guys covers the camera with his hand, and Vinny asks the officer’s name. He says, Officer Morris, and Vinny shoots him point blank in the chest.
Next time, Mama Rose says Kathryn is pissing her off; Kathryn says tells Mama Rose to bring it; Alissa wants to sleep with David; Hanna tells Candace that they’re going to find her, and kill her; and David interrupts Veronica and Benny.
💋 Temptation Tuesday is back at a new time – 8 pm. Why? Who knows.
🪁 Finally Someone Gives a Flying…
I have been watching this show for years now, with precious little being online about it. At last, Oprah paid attention to her OWN network.
🎍 On Backyard Envy, the landscapers were going for a Mad Men meets The Jetsons vibe. I wasn’t paying all that much attention, but thought that was an interesting concept.
🥱 Zzzzzz…
What? I’m done with this post? Because HAHN had this insane two-hour block, I had to DVR Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, which will have to wait until the next post, where it will pair nicely with The Real A-holes Housewives of Beverly Hills. I’m sure you can’t wait to hear about houses you will never, ever be able to afford. Because if you could, you wouldn’t be here, you’d be roller skating around your mansion. Stay safe, stay discerning, and stay out of Veronica’s pool.
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)
General Hospital
The week is starting off well, since I missed the beginning. Right now, I have a very sick dog, and the care is endless. Not complaining, just making excuses. The high points are, Sam and Alexis are at the boxing gym when Alexis finds out she’s been disbarred; Jordan, Curtis, Molly, and TJ are having a meal at the MetroCourt; and Ava meets with a potential buyer for her penthouse, only to discover it’s Cyrus.
Nelle comes running into the courtroom, wearing a wedding dress and carrying a bouquet. She says she’s sorry she’s late, but the most incredible thing just happened. Addressing her as Miss Benson, Judge Lowe says, if she’s serious about the hearing, she wouldn’t be late. Nelle says the hearing is the most important thing to her, but she’s no longer Miss Benson. She and her new husband were unavoidably delayed.
Sam asks if Alexis can appeal. Maybe she should find an attorney to help her get out of it. Alexis says, it’s perjury, and a serious rule of law; there’s no coming back from it. Sam suggests she work on her second act. She had a great first one, with an amazing career, and she’s saved money. Why doesn’t she sit back, and figure out what she wants to do next? Alexis says she doesn’t want to do anything else, so she’s going home to binge watch TV. Sam says that’s not why she brought Alexis there. Sam’s phone rings, and she steps away. Alexis kicks at the bag, and Brando says she might want to tape her hands and put on gloves, but she says she’d rather kick it. He says it must be her first time boxing, and she says she was brought there against her will. He says, so it’s a hostage situation. Blink once if she needs to be rescued. She blinks, and Sam comes back. She asks why Brando is talking to her mother. He says, mother? and Alexis says, that would be her.
Sonny stops by, and asks if TJ and Molly are excited about their domestic partnership. Kristina told him about the domestic partner thing, and he guesses it’s more enlightened than marriage. He’ll take their word for it, but the main thing is, are they happy? TJ says, most definitely, and Sonny says he’s sorry about what happened. Is TJ okay? TJ says he and Molly are working to move forward. His only concern is not being able to give Mac more details about the kidnapping. It makes no sense. He was grabbed, and left alone. Not even a ransom request. Sonny asks what Mac turned up, and Curtis says he’s sure Mac is doing all he can. Sonny says he’s glad TJ is back, and TJ says he is too. Sonny congratulates them, and moves along. Molly says she never wants to go through that again. The weeks without TJ were awful. TJ says, it’s time wo work on their life together going forward.
Cyrus tells Ava, he was skeptical of Lucy. She has an excitable manner, but she understands real estate. Ava says he has her at a loss. Lucy said she had a cash buyer, but neglected to give her his name. He introduces himself, and she says she’s heard of him. She’s aware of his reputation. He says he’s aware of hers as well. She asks what he means, and he says she’s a gallery owner, and he’s a big art lover. He’s heard she’s going to be showing a new piece by Franco at Windymere. That should make for a memorable evening. Ava says, after what Cyrus has done, he won’t be on the guest list.
Josslyn, Dev, Cameron, and Trina go to the park. Trina says, Oscar’s meadow is green now. She loves when everything blooms. They sit at a picnic table, and Cameron asks how Josslyn is feeling. She says she guesses okay. It’s been a year, and she still misses him. She thinks she always will, but she doesn’t know. Now when she thinks about him, she smiles more than she cries. Trina says, that’s progress, and Josslyn says she owes them an apology. She knows she’s been absent lately. Dev thinks being kept on lockdown had something to do with it, and she says she hated house arrest, but she didn’t have to lean in as much as she did. She could have found ways to stay connected. From here on out, no more hiding with her journal instead of hanging with them. Cameron asks if she’s giving it up, and Trina says, admitting the problem is the first step. Josslyn is sure she’ll still write, but she doesn’t feel it’s as necessary. She’s glad Dustin suggested it, but she misses her friends.
Martin begs the court’s indulgence. A wedding is a blessed event, and his client is still elated at the happy news. Nelle says her new husband is here now, and Julian walks in. Diane says, just when she thought Julian couldn’t sink lower, and Michael says, Nelle just overplayed her hand. Nelle says they were married last night, and everything has been a happy blur. She’s sorry she lost track, and wasn’t on time. Judge Lowe tells Martin to get his client under control, and explain that she shouldn’t address the court unless and until she’s directed to. Martin tells Nelle, do herself a favor and don’t say anything unless she’s asked. The judge assumes there’s a valid license, and Nelle gives it to Martin, who passes it to the judge. Diane laughs, and Judge Lowe says it appears to be in order, but he’s calling a brief recess to check the validity. When he gets back, he expects to proceed with no more outbursts.
Willow asks what Michael meant by Nelle overplaying her hand. He says, Nelle couldn’t have picked a worse candidate. Julian is an ex-mobster. Diane says, whatever case Nelle thought she had, Julian just tanked it.
Sam introduces Alexis to Brando. Alexis says his name sounds familiar… She looks at Sam, and Sam nods. Alexis says she’s also Kristina’s mother, and they’re connected via Sonny. Brando has also met her third daughter, Molly. He laughs, and says Molly brought her car in, and he fixed her up. Alexis says she heard all about it, and Sam suggests they get back to their workout. He says, nice to meet her. Alexis tells Sam, no wonder Molly slept with him. Sam is like, mother! and Alexis says she doesn’t think Molly did anything wrong. He seems nice, has a sense of humor, and he’s cute; he looks like he works out. Sam says she doesn’t see it. Please. Even I see it.
Molly, TJ, Curtis, and Jordan clink glasses. Molly says it was nice of Sonny to send over champagne, and Jordan says she wants to thank him in person. She goes over to Sonny at the bar, and he says he hasn’t heard from her. She says, TJ is home safe now, and he asks if that means their collaboration is over. She says she doesn’t need his help, and he asks, what if Mac’s investigation leads to Cyrus? She tells him, stay out of her investigation. She’ll handle her own people.
Cyrus is surprised Ava isn’t more open to him, since she’s had struggles herself. She says, a few public incidents she’s put behind her. She’s not going back by getting involved with him. He’s responsible for a good friend losing her father. He’s says he’s sorry for her friend’s loss, but she was misinformed. He just got out of prison; his sentence was vacated. She says, how convenient, and he says he was exonerated from a wrongful conviction. Now he’s focused on building a new life, and looks forward to doing business with her. The penthouse suits him perfectly. He just needs the paperwork to close. Sonny listens in, and Cyrus’s phone rings. He excuses himself, and Sonny approaches Ava. He asks what the hell she’s doing.
Ava says she doesn’t care for Sonny’s tone. They were talking business. He says this always happens with her. She takes one step forward, and five back. Just when he thinks she has one ounce of humanity, bringing Avery to see his dad, she does business with a known drug trafficker. Does she know where Cyrus’s money is coming from? She asks why he’s so quick to think the worst of her. Trina interns for her, and Trina is devastated by her father’s death. He says, then why do business with the guy who’s responsible? and she says Lucy never told her who the potential buyer was.
Dev says, it’s the first time they’ve all been together, and they’re on their phones. Josslyn suggests they do something fun tomorrow after school, but Cameron says he and Trina are playing ultimate frisbee. Josslyn asks if it’s formal teams, or can anyone go? and Cameron says, it’s pretty casual. Dev says he’ll get to prove he’s better than Cameron at another sport, and Josslyn says it will be a nice change from volleyball. Cameron says he’s not sure how much playing time they’ll get, and Josslyn wonders if he and Trina don’t want them to go.
Jordan says, the MetroCourt ballroom is gorgeous, but TJ says they have the Nurses Ball coming up, and they don’t want something that fancy. Curtis says, there’s always outside, and it will be nice soon. Jordan says, Molly is quiet, and asks if they can have some girl talk. They both go to the bar.
Diane tells Michael and Willow, Nelle’s shotgun wedding might work in their favor, but she’s warning them not to get ahead of themselves. They’re going to stick to the strategy. Michael and Willow are loving, committed parents. She tells Willow, whatever Nelle and that sleazeball husband throw at her, don’t engage. Carly suggests Diane not call Julian a sleazeball, but Diane says she’ll have her game face when court starts. Poor Alexis. Just when she’s gotten herself together, now Julian marries Nelle. Michael says Nelle must have found something incriminating on Julian, and wonders what it is.
Martin asks what Nelle was thinking, showing up late married to Julian. She says they couldn’t wait, and Julian says they want the best for Wiley. Nelle says, and that’s for Wiley to live with them.
Michael says Julian must have run to Nelle and told her about him and Willow getting married, but Carly says she received a call telling her that Nelle already knew. Michael asks, who called? but she says, it doesn’t matter. He says it does to him; who called to warn her? She says, Sasha.
Curtis asks TJ to level with him. How’s he doing? TJ says, fine, and Curtis says he was kidnapped. He was just held hostage, and had to think he might be killed. It’s enough to freak anyone out, him included. TJ says he’s not sleeping well. He dreams he’s still a hostage, and wakes up in a panic. He tosses and turns, and then gets up because he doesn’t want to disturb Molly. Curtis says he’s sorry to hear that, and TJ says he checks the windows to make sure no one is lurking around. It’s lunacy. Curtis says, what TJ went through was traumatic, and he wants TJ to know he can reach out. Whatever TJ needs. TJ says, what he needs is to pull himself together before he drives Molly away.
Ava tells Sonny that Lucy didn’t tell her who the buyer was. He says, now she knows, and she says she can do business with whoever she wants. It’s not like Sonny is so picky with the associates he deals with. Yet he holds himself up like an excellent role model for Avery. What’s he going to do when Avery finds out who he is? He says he’s a coffee importer, and like her art gallery, his business is legit. It always cracks me up when anyone, especially Sonny, says he’s a coffee importer. Ava’s phone rings, and it’s Carly. She tells Ava that Nelle married Julian. Ava doesn’t believe it, and Carly tells her to ask her brother.
Molly asks Jordan if she said something wrong. Is Jordan upset they chose domestic partnership instead of traditional marriage? Jordan says, no. She’s upset with herself. She’s beyond mortified about the way she acted, and owes Molly a major apology. Molly thanks her, and Jordan says, her goal was never to hurt Molly. She thinks Molly and TJ are perfect together, and doesn’t want to see her son with anyone else.
Sam tells Alexis, this is probably better than hitting the bag, and hands her a jump rope. Alexis says, she’s good, but Sam says, it’ll work up a sweat. Alexis says, no; she thinks she’ll hit the steam room. Sam says she wants to work out, and Alexis tells her, suit herself. She leaves, and Sam approaches Brando. She asks if he has a minute.
Michael says, Sasha gave Carly a heads up? and Carly says Sasha was afraid Nelle would do something to stop the wedding. Michael says, that might be the Sasha he used to know, and asks Diane how Nelle showing up with a sudden husband will affect her case. Diane says, it’s not a good look. Julian’s shady past will bolster their case. Willow asks if pointing out that Nelle’s wedding was last minute, will magnify them doing the same thing, but Diane says, let the visuals tell the story. Nelle looks like a lunatic, and Julian looks like exactly what he is. And Michael and Willow look like what they are; a committed couple devoted to each other and Wiley’s well-being. Judge Lowe returns.
In her opening argument, Diane says, what’s at stake is the best for a young child, and the number one reason for sole custody to go to the biological father. Michael is the successful CEO of a multi-billion dollar family owned business, which gives him tremendous standing in the community. But he’s not an absentee parent. His first priority is his son. In an ironic twist, Wiley’s adoptive parents asked Michael to be Wiley’s godfather, a position he took seriously. He’s been in Wiley’s life since day one, as has his wife Willow. They live in a multi-generational home where Wiley will be surrounded by extended family who will make him feel loved and safe.
Diane tells Willow, Michael has perfected the art of the poker face; Willow, not so much. No matter what Martin says, she has to stay calm. It will be refuted in her testimony. Losing her cool does none of them any good. Willow says, understood. Nelle tells Martin that she’s counting on him. He says he knows. That’s why he’s charging so much. A heads up about her wedding would have been helpful though.
Brando says he knows what Sam is going to say; stay away from her mother. Could she do him a favor, and make a list of all her relatives? Then he can vet strangers to make sure they’re not related to her. Sam says, actually, she wanted to apologize. She’s sorry she gave him such a hard time at the garage. He says, in that case, he accepts. Should they start over, and be satisfied with a silent nod across the room? Sam says she’ll take that, and walks off.
Jordan and Molly come back to the table, and Curtis asks if Jordan is okay. She says, there’s a lot going on at work. TJ says, Cyrus? and Jordan asks what he knows about Cyrus. He says he read that he’d been put in prison ten years ago, Jordan figured out he was framed, and had him exonerated. Molly says she admires Jordan’s integrity; it couldn’t have been easy. Curtis says Jordan did what she needed to do to make things right.
Cyrus says he looked into Ava’s background, and knows she shares a daughter with Sonny. That can’t be easy. If she ever needs help to put Sonny in his place… She says she needs nothing from him, and he says, fair enough. Let’s talk about the penthouse. She says she’ll never sell it to him. She wouldn’t do that to Trina. And more important, don’t ever mention her daughter again – ever. She walks away, and Cyrus laughs.
Cameron tells Josslyn, don’t be silly. Of course (🍷) they want her and Dev to play. Trina says Josslyn is so competitive all the time, if she was ever on the sidelines, she might have a nervous breakdown. Josslyn says, her competitive? and Cameron says, a little bit. He looks forward to a worthy opponent. Trina says she thought he had one already. Dev says teams are supposed to build sportsmanship, and Cameron says they’re just having fun. Trina says she’ll text them the information tonight. Josslyn tells Dev that they have to head back; Tony is waiting. Cameron says he and Trina are headed the other way. Trina says she’ll see them tomorrow, and goes with Cameron. Josslyn and Dev sit back down, and Josslyn says, it’s not just her, right? She genuinely thought Cameron and Trina didn’t want them to go. Dev says he thinks Cameron has no idea how act around Josslyn, and Josslyn says Cameron has known her for her entire life. Dev says, but now he likes her.
Martin says what has already happened to Nelle is nothing short of a Greek tragedy. She was the victim of car accident, walking dazed and disoriented; left in the woods to give birth alone. When she came to, Brad had callously switched infants, and she had a dead baby in her arms. All those months, she grieved a baby she thought was dead. While in prison, she risked her own life to stop a vicious serial killer, and got early release for her heroism. Shortly afterward, she and Michael got the shock of their lives; their baby wasn’t dead, but alive and well. Lucas did the right thing, but instead of basking in the joy of their joint miracle, Michael only thought of himself, and petitioned the court to keep the child, when the child has been through enough. Then another miracle. Nelle fingers the half-heart necklace, and Martin says, Nelle found love. Nelle remembers telling Julian that she knows what he did. He caused an accident that almost killed his son. Lucas will never forgive him, but it doesn’t matter. If Sonny finds out, he’ll kill Julian. Martin says, it’s like Shakespeare. A love story of a brave young woman, just out of prison, starting a new life; and a man recovering his own life. Nelle thinks about Julian telling her, she was so desperate to keep Michael away from his son, she begged Brad to take him. Martin says, kindred souls married, and Nelle remembers telling Julian if he tries to persuade Sonny that Brad knew, Sonny will know he knew. Even if Sonny doesn’t kill Julian, there’s a sealed envelope to be opened in the event of her death or disappearance, and it will send the cops straight to Julian’s door. Martin says, plus there’s the concern that Wiley’s grandfather is a known mob kingpin. Nelle thinks of Julian telling her, there’s nothing left to say except, will she marry him? She says she doesn’t know. He didn’t get down on one knee. She’s kidding. Go get his suit on, and they’ll seal the deal. Martin says, what they did is blend two lives to make a family who will raise and give Wiley a loving home. It’s not as big as a mansion, but it will be filled with love. Nelle continues to play with the necklace.
Cameron tells Trina, he missed all four of them being together. She says she did too, but it wasn’t bad with just him. He says, likewise; it’s been great. She says, all the craziness, the kidnapping, her dad dying, and Cameron has been there. She doesn’t think she said thank you. He wants her to know he’ll always have her back; he promises. She says, pinky swear? and they do.
Dev says they should go, and Josslyn asks if he thinks Cameron likes likes her. He’s into her? Dev says, trust him. She’s the last to know. She says, itmakes no sense. For the past year, she’s been a mess. Why would Cameron start crushing on her when she’s at her worst? Dev asks if she remembers when she and Cameron fake dated to make Oscar jealous. She says, that was a million years ago, and Dev says, maybe it was real for Cameron. She asks why Cameron wouldn’t have said something, and he says, she was in love with Oscar. Then she was grieving Oscar. The timing was wrong. She asks what she does now. How will it not be awkward when Cameron is around. Dev says he wouldn’t worry. He’s sure Cameron will understand that she doesn’t feel the same way. He’s a really good friend.
Cyrus asks for a word with Jordan, and Curtis tells him, keep moving. Cyrus says Jordan changed the ground rules and included her husband, and he can put Curtis’s skill set to use. Curtis tells him, don’t push it, and Cyrus says, who’s pushing? He’s offering Curtis some business. The health of the Police Commissioner and her loved ones remains his top concern.
Judge Lowe says, the opening remarks have been concluded, so they’re going to have an hour’s meal break. Willow says, Diane doesn’t think the judge believes Martin, does she? Diane says, more important was how they maintained a calm demeanor. Keep it up. It won’t make them look cold; it will make them look smart. Carly suggests they walk over to the MetroCourt, and Michael says, sounds good. Willow says keeping a calm demeanor is tougher then she thought. Diane leaves to make a call, and Nelle asks Martin how he thinks it’s going. He says he’s pleased, but they should go eat. And Julian should join them. Julian asks if Martin is going to put him on the witness stand.
On the phone, Diane tells Alexis, Nelle just showed up in court with her new husband. Alexis says she’s surprised, but not shocked. Nelle isn’t going down without a fight. Who did she lure into marriage? Diane says, Nelle’s new groom is Julian.
Martin tells Julian, he’d like to avoid it if possible. If they paint Sonny as a threat, given that Julian is also affiliated with organized crime, it’s best not to open that line of inquiry. Nelle says, in that case, shall they? Julian says he’s not interested, but she says he agreed to be a loving husband. He says he’s starting to think some things are worse than death, and she says, okay. All married couples need time apart. She’ll see him after the break. Alone in the courtroom, Julian tells himself, get it together. Sonny walks in, and Julian supposes Sonny isn’t there to offer his congratulations. Sonny says, congratulations on marrying one of the few people he hates more than he hates Julian.
Tomorrow, Scotty tells Franco that he wouldn’t trust Nikolas when it comes to Elizabeth; Carly tells Martin, if he uses Sonny against Michael, it will be his funeral; and Sonny tells Julian to do what needs to be done.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht
Glenn tells Jenna, a couple of things have been brought to his attention. Interior had two people down at the same time, and they need to have two people available. He spoke to Madison, and knows both Jenna and Georgia were down, while Madison was doing cabins and laundry. Jenna says she can’t recall the day, but it’s frustrating to get negative feedback. He says she sounds defensive, and she says she put so much thought and effort into planning things out to make the guests happy. She’s not just effing off. He says she and Adam took a break at the same time, so they could chill together, and it’s drawing attention. He’s seen things, and can only imagine what he hasn’t seen. It’s not cool. Jenna asks where they’re supposed to be affectionate, and he says (and rightly so), that’s not his problem. They need to be discreet. She asks if she should tell Adam not to touch her, and Glenn says he’ll be happy to speak to them both as a couple, but they need to tone it down. He wants all of them to finish on a high note, and kick it up a notch.
Georgia asks Madison what the meeting is about, and Madison says she has no idea. She’s just trying to flip the boat. Georgia says she just wants the full picture, but Madison says Georgia knows as much as she does. I’m starting not to like Madison. I think she’s two-faced and jealous. I understand she has issues, but get some therapy. Dr. Yannopapas arrives, and talks to Chris. Chris explains that he hurt himself lifting the Seabob. The outside of his foot is numb and tingling. The doctor tells Chris to close his eyes, and touches him with a pokey thing (technical term). Chris says he can barely feel it, and the doctor says, it’s a problem. Chris needs an MRI as soon as possible. Chris asks if he can work, but the doctor says no. In Chris’s interview, he says he doesn’t want to end up with a long term problem. He’s never had pain like this. The doctor says, seriously, he wouldn’t risk it.
Jenna tells Adam that she doesn’t feel like doing anything; she hates this. Adam asks when her break is. He doesn’t want to get in trouble if they’re both not working. He tells Jenna to brush it off. It’s all you can do. She says she’s having a hard time with this, since she works her ass off, then gets a comment about not having the service up to par. Adam says he’s sorry they came down on her, and she says, people can’t be happy and working at the same time. Adam says he won’t touch her, but one last hug before they sign off. He looks around, tells her to hurry, and grabs her butt.
The doctor talks to Glenn, and says Chris has a problem with his nerve something, and goes into a bunch of medical terms which boil down to Chris’s nerve getting squashed. He says Chris needs an MRI as soon as possible. Until he sees the report, Chris can’t work, and needs complete rest. In Glenn’s interview, he says Chris is one of the best deckhands he’s had. He’s concerned for Chris, but they have the last charter tomorrow. What options does he have? Chris tells Glenn, he’ll get the MRI immediately, and if he can work, he wants to. He tells Paget there’s a chance he won’t be able to work. Paget says, there’s a problem already, and this isn’t helping. Glenn says after Chris gets the MRI, they’ll see how it goes. In Paget’s interview, he says they just got rid of someone who couldn’t do their job. Now someone has injured themselves. He can’t catch a break . He tells Ciara about Chris being possibly laid up.
Jenna tells Madison that she’s getting super frustrated. She doesn’t like people prying into her personal life, and Madison has talked to everyone. Jenna is annoyed that Madison went to Glenn about her and Adam showing affection. That’s what the meeting was about. Madison says, Glenn came to her, and asked if she had an issue, and she said she didn’t. She’s not saying sh*t. She’s just trying to work, and make the guests happy. Whatever you want to do in your personal life, do it. Jenna says she’s tired of having to hold their hands, and she picks up after them constantly. Madison says she picks up after Jenna all the time when she’s sitting down with Adam. In Jenna’s interview, she says it’s not anyone’s place to comment on their superior’s personal life. Being with Adam didn’t affect their professional ability. She tells Madison that she’d just said it didn’t bother her, but apparently it does. I think what bothers Madison is what she’s also been griping about. Everyone else is coupled up, and now that Parker is gone, she has no dude to focus on. Jenna tells Madison, they have one last charter. She’s at the point where she doesn’t give a sh*t. She’s going to do her job, keep her head down, and tell them nothing.
Chris goes into town for the MRI. Madison whines to Glenn that she’d said she didn’t have an issue with Jenna, but she just got reamed out for being the source of this sh*t. Glenn says he told Jenna that it didn’t come from her department, but somehow it escalated. Madison says she’s sorry; she doesn’t like drama. Glenn tells Jenna, they’re going to have a three-way chat in the master. In Jenna’s interview, she says they have to be effing kidding her. Come on.
Chris goes to the doctor on shore. Glenn tells Jenna and Madison, he wants to make sure they’re on the same page. In his interview, he says he’s not there to get in the middle of their personal politics. His concern is that they call a truce, and get to the finish. Madison babbles that Glenn came to her, after he had a conversation with Ciara. Glenn says, to be fair, he thought Madison did have an issue, but didn’t voice it. Jenna says Madison claimed she didn’t have an issue, and then flipped it. Why? Madison says she can have an opinion. Glenn repeats that it didn’t come from Jenna’s department, and tells her, don’t take it out on Madison. Jenna says she doesn’t like any environment that puts the kibosh on affection, and Madison says it’s hard to talk to Jenna professionally when she’s lying on top of Adam. Glenn feels like Jenna is getting defensive, and Jenna asks if they’re screwing in the crew mess? They’re just holding hands, and Madison has an issue with it. She feels like it’s an environment she doesn’t want to be in. Glenn thinks she’s justifying her actions, and defending her actions when they’re indefensible.
Georgia asks how Paget is, and he says he’s not hurt as bad as Chris. Glenn asks Madison and Jenna if they think they can move forward. Jenna says, sure, but her personal life is affected, and it doesn’t make her happy. In Glenn’s interview, he says he’s never seen this side of Jenna, and this side isn’t acceptable, but he’s in a tough spot. They have one charter to go, and he’s not making a dramatic change now, but they have to get through this. Jenna asks if they’re done with this drama. The crew decides not to go out, so they can get the boat ready. Glenn suggests Chris do night watch. Chris comes back, and Glenn asks how it went. Chris says, it was a strange experience, and Glenn asks how he feels. Chris says he has he can feel the pain in his back, and Glenn tells him to lie down until he gets the news. Everyone goes to bed.
A preference sheet meeting is called. Glenn says it’s the last charter. The primary is Nicole, a high-end real estate broker, and CEO of a luxury real estate company. Jenna reads that Nicole has never sailed, and is hoping the service is even better on a sailing yacht. Jenna says, she’s in for a big surprise, which Glenn doesn’t find amusing. She reads that Nicole wants a pink party, with a seven-course pink tasting menu. Paget reads that guest Nicholas wants a race, and Glenn suggests an area of shallow water where they can set up a regatta.
The crew puts the finishing touches on the boat. In Adam’s interview, he says he’d hate for something positive, like his relationship with Jenna, to leave a bad taste in Glenn’s mouth. Despite a little PDA, there’s no question he and Jenna are capable of doing their jobs. Paget tells Ciara that she’s just stressed, and wants to give her a hug, but she says she just wants to work. In her interview, she says, the crew is in that phase where they want to just get off the boat. Jenna meets with Georgia and Madison, and says she’s been frustrated. Some things need improvement, and time management is lacking. Georgia is lackadaisical, and Madison needs to focus on what she’s doing, not the next thing she’ll be doing. In Georgia’s interview, she says, every time she thinks Jenna is going to admit she’s wrong, Jenna talks it down to the hierarchy and their inadequate feelings. She takes no accountability, and it’s bullsh*t.
Provisions come in. Ciara feels like sh*t. Glenn tells everyone to change for the guests’ arrival in ten minutes. The crew greets the guests, Glenn gives them a welcome, and Jenna gives the tour. Glenn tells Chris not to lift anything until he hears from the doctor. Snacks are served. Guest Jeanette says she wants a job where she doesn’t need to wear shoes, but then what would she do with her investment in shoes? Adam talks to them about the seven-course dinner. Paget tells Ciara that he’s feeling some knee pain, and she tells him, don’t leave her. The boat shoves off. Guest Noelle tells Jenna that she’s glad the boat is large, since she doesn’t do well on small sail boats. Adam says he’s getting all kinds of ideas for the pink dinner now. The doctor gets the MRI results back, and Chris has a disc prolapse, which explains the pain. The doctor says it would be extremely unwise lift any weight, and he should refrain from physical activity. He can walk around, but he has to see a specialist.
Jenna calls Paget for more chairs, and Adam feels sorry for him. Ciara says she has a headache. Byron tells Glenn that the wind has picked up; it’s time to go sailing. Glenn calls Chris to help with calling the sails. In Chris’s interview, he says he went straight from school to working on boats. It’s been his life since 2011, and if an injury means he can’t do what he loves, it’s scary. They begin to sail, and Ciara tells Paget that she feels like sh*t. Chris meets with Glenn, and tells him that he spoke to the doctor; there’s an issue with his spine. Glenn says, it sounds serious, and Chris tells Glenn that he’s not supposed to lift anything heavy. After the charter is over, he has to see a specialist. In Glenn’s interview, he says, it’s not feasible to get someone else and bring them up to speed in time. It’s a tough spot to be in. Ciara tells Paget that she’s feeling dizzy, and they’re already down one person. She starts to cry.
Paget tells Ciara to go have a cold shower. Glenn tells Chris, they’ll work around his injury, and make it work. Chris can take the 11 to 6 shift. Paget says, and then there was one. He tells Glenn that Ciara was suffering from a heat stroke; she’s in tears. Byron says they’ve lost the wind, and Glenn says, he goes downstairs for two seconds, and they sail straight into a hole. The sails are brought down, and Chris hobbles back downstairs. Adam notes that Nicole has no goat cheese on her preference sheet, so he decides he’ll replace it with pink cream cheese. Jenna tells him, some of the guests joined the nap train. Georgia finds Paget, and he tells her that Ciara spent twelve hours in the sun, and had a heat stroke. He asks if Georgia is coming back for winter work, but she says she wants to give the music thing a bigger shot. He says he’ll miss her; she’s one of the goodies. She says, that’s not saying much, but she’ll take it.
Adam pinks up the food, while Jenna decorates the table with everything pink. Ciara tells Paget that she just needed a nap and to cool down. Guest Billy is the only one up, and lurks around the buffet. Jenna tells Adam, it’s weird. Nicole wakes up on deck, and says she wants to take a shower before dinner. Byron tells Glenn that he read horse manure is self-igniting in Spain, it’s so hot. One of the guests whines that they’re starving, and Jenna tries to hurry Nicole along. Adam yawns, and we see it’s almost 10 pm. Guest Jeanette says Adam must be exhausted. In Adam’s interview, he says he’s not being a diva chef; he cares about the food. The problem is, it’s going to go bad, and he doesn’t get a second chance.
Adam says, seven courses, ten o’clock. Nicole is still getting dressed, and says, it’s like her prom tonight. The other guests want to eat, and one suggests bringing all the courses at once. Jenna tells Adam, the guests are getting riled up, and Nicole finally shows. I have to say, she doesn’t look anything like someone who took so much time getting ready. I vote meh. Jenna calls Madison to the galley, and tells Adam, they’re good to go. Georgia sings while she does cabins. Nicole says, imagine the world in pink all the time. What a pretty world it would be. She asks guest Billy if he’s all right, and another guest asks if he’s okay. Jenna clears the table, and tells Adam that she thinks they might be on drugs. It’s really weird up there.
Jenna serves beet salad, and one of the guests remarks on Billy’s eyes. Billy gets up, and goes to the bathroom. Nicholas says, Billy is good; he’ll be back in five. We hear a sniff coming from the bathroom, and Billy comes back to the table. Jenna serves trout, and Nicole says they should take Adam back to New York. Jenna tells Adam, it’s effing delicious. In their cabin, Glenn tells Byron that he’s listening a book about our inner fish, how we’re evolved from fish, and still have sh*t from them. It’s incredible. Billy says, it’s all about the pink party. Chris wanders around, and Jenna asks Madison how it’s going. In Madison’s interview, she says, it’s not worth it to deal with Jenna. Glenn wants them to work together, so she’s going to bust ass, and be professional. Jenna thinks Madison should be further along.
Lobster is served, and Nicole claps like a five year old. Billy pronounces it phenomenal, and Nicholas says, who gives a sh*t? Chris tells Jenna that he saw something strange under Billy’s nose earlier. We see a clip of Chris glancing over at Billy, who’s sniffing. Jenna says they’re all effing high. Guest Noelle asks Nicole, what’s going on? and Nicole says, shady stuff. In Jenna’s interview, she says, if a guest brings drugs on board, they’re all at risk being charged. If she and Chris suspect something illegal, but don’t say anything, it could be a big problem. Nicholas says he’s taking care of his friends; they’re good. In Jenna’s interview, she says she’s not waking up the captain. If she says anything herself, it could escalate the situation, and the correct thing to do is let Glenn deal with it himself in the morning.
Adam brings out the final pink dessert, and asks Nicole if everything was pink enough. He’s glad they enjoyed it, and Nicole says it’s the best meal she’s had. Billy says, it’s early, and asks what they’re doing, but everybody wants to go to bed. Billy goes down to his and Nicholas’s cabin, and Madison cleans up. Holed up in their cabin, Billy and Nicholas are still awake at 4 am, and we hear one of them say, I love you.
Byron says, it’s the last day of the season, and Adam says he’s stoked. Glenn calls Paget, asking him to get the paddleboards out. Inside the room, Billy announces that he’s king of the MF’ing world. Adam asks how much sleep he got, and Billy says he’s not sure he slept at all. Adam says he knows how those nights go.
Jenna tells Glenn that she doesn’t like to be accusatory, but Billy had some kind of powder under his nose. Glenn asks if she actually saw it around his nose. In Glenn’s interview, he asks why he’s hearing about it now. He tells Jenna, there’s no way it’s makeup, and if illegal substances are on board, it’s serious. In his interview, he says he can’t think of anything worse than the boat being confiscated, him losing his license, and possibly going to jail. He asks if Jenna feels confident in her assessment, and she says, based on his behavior, yes; although he did eat a seven-course meal.
Glenn wakes up Chris, and tells him that Jenna said he’d seen something. It would have been good to know in the moment; or if he’d seen it for himself, it would be different. If Chris had to bet money on it, what does he think? Chris says, if he had to bet money on it, cocaine. On deck, Billy asks how early they want him to black out.
Glenn comes up on deck, where Billy is spouting gems like, it’s only water if you fall in. Glenn unobtrusively observes. Jenna asks Georgia if she’s seen any paraphernalia lying around, and she says she hasn’t, but she wasn’t looking through things either. Some of the guests do paddle boarding, and Billy acts like an a-hole. Glenn tells Jenna, he’d be surprised if someone flew to Corfu with cocaine. If a guest has a prescription drug, it’s no problem. He’s sure people travel with Adderall all the time, and there’s a chance it’s that. I guess because all people with Adderall prescriptions snort it. In Jenna’s interview, she says she doesn’t go around accusing charter guests of having illicit drugs, but if they have them, it’s the worst thing that could happen. Glenn tells her if only one crew member saw it, that’s different, but he’s heard it from two crew members. He’ll speak to Nicole, and if he finds anything, it will be the end of the charter.
Billy gets on a paddle board, and giggles like a jerk. In Glenn’s interview, he says, if a guest goes ashore and comes back high, that’s not his problem, but if they brought drugs onto the boat, they’re in deep sh*t. He asks Nicole if they can have a chat.
Next time, the finale, Glenn does a search, Billy says his vacation is ruined, and Georgia tells Ciara that she has a thing for Paget.

🗃 A Pandemically Helpful Resource…
I have an entire pot of tea, but I need to sift the leaves, so in lieu of that, I give you CNET’s list of free entertainment, to keep you entertained.
I’d thought this whole pandemic was going easy on me until my dog got so sick. It was the only thing I’d worried about to begin with, and like Job, the thing that I fear comes upon me. He has a bad kidney infection, and it’s still touch and go, but as in all things, I might be the biggest cynic you’ll ever meet, but I hope for the best. Tomorrow is a late night, so bidding you to stay safe, stay sending good vibes my pup’s way, and stay on the sunny side of the street (as long as you’re six feet apart).
