November 29, 2021 – Thanksgiving In Port Charles, 80s Neon On Deck, How They Celebrated, Dead News, Final Bow & Remember

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam says, Drew? and he says he’s sorry to just show up like this, but in all fairness, she never returned his call. She says, oh my God, and they hug.

Chase stands at the Quartermaine door. Brook tells Ned, it’s Thanksgiving, and Ned says, the day we remember the Pilgrims for taking advantage of people they should have respected. She says she thought he wasn’t going to blame Chase, and he says, he’s not, but he’s allowed to be disappointed, at Chase, and at Brook. Chase says, maybe this was a bad idea, but Monica comes out, and asks where are Ned and Brook’s manners. Invite the man in; he’s a guest. Olivia comes in, and seeing the door open, asks if they live in a barn. Brook tells Monica, actually, Chase is more than a guest. Monica says, a friend, but Brook says, he’s more than a friend too. As a matter-of-fact, he’s family.

Portia leaves a voicemail for Curtis, saying, she knows he’s going through a lot right now, but maybe that’s all the more reason for him to come to her house for Thanksgiving. There’s going to be tons of food, good wine… At least she hopes it’s good wine; that’s what the guy told her. But most important, being around friends and family. So just think about it, and she hopes she sees him soon. Elizabeth says, first Portia comes in to check on a patient, and now she’s racing home to prepare dinner for all of them. What is she? Superwoman? Portia says, hardly. Does Elizabeth want to know her secret? Elizabeth says, please, and Portia says, she hired a caterer. Trust her; it’s worth it. Elizabeth says she can’t wait to celebrate with everyone and count their blessings. Elizabeth gets in the elevator, and Portia says, her too.

TJ says, it sounds like Marshall has already spoken to his uncle, and Marshall says he gathers Curtis didn’t tell TJ about their conversation. He certainly made it clear he wants nothing to do with Marshall. TJ asks if he should call Curtis to explain what’s going on, but Marshall says, don’t call Curtis. Maybe his not reaching out is a good thing. Maybe he’s thinking things over, and hasn’t completely rejected Marshall yet. TJ says, his uncle is one of the smartest men he knows. If he rejected Marshall, he has his reasons. He’s tried to keep an open mind, but it seems Marshall is running some kind of hustle. If that’s the case, Curtis spotted it a mile off. Marshall says, he’s not hustling TJ, Curtis, or anybody, and TJ says, Marshall could have fooled him. He came there with a fake pain in his side. Marshall says, sorry about that. He truly regrets the way he’s gone about this. He regrets it all. He really should have done everything differently.

At the hospital, Carly gives some guys to-go bags from the MetroCourt, and says, when they’re done, come back; she has more. Elizabeth says, it smells great. It’s thoughtful of Carly and Olivia to do this. Carly says, no one works harder than the GH staff, and if they’re working on Thanksgiving and away from their families, they should at least have sweet potatoes and turkey. Elizabeth says, and MetroCourt turkey, and Carly says, a step up from the cafeteria? Elizabeth says, just a little. How about their kids, volunteering to pass out dinners? Carly says there may have been a little prodding on her part, and Elizabeth says she’s pretty sure Cameron just wants to be with Josslyn, but they’re doing it. They have a lot to be grateful for. Carly says, they do, and Elizabeth says she’ll let Carly get back to work. She leaves, and Britt comes down the hall, doing an about-face when she sees Carly. Carly notices her, and follows. She calls to Britt, and asks when she got back. Did they find her mom? Britt says, they did, and Carly says, it must have been quite an adventure. She can’t wait for Jason to tell her all about it.

Sonny is cooking, when Anna comes to the kitchen, where we no longer have the moss bowl 🎍 to be thankful for. He says, long time, no see. What brings her by?

Olivia says, run that by them again, and Monica says, it would seem Valentin isn’t Bailey’s father, and Chase is. Brook says, correct, and Olivia says, but Brook didn’t tell Chase, and made him sleuth it out for himself. Ned says, also correct, and Brook says, she knows this comes as a shock to everyone, but Monica says, not to her. Nothing about this family shocks her anymore, especially on the last Thursday in November. Chase wants them to know that he’s not going anywhere, and plans on being the best father he can be. Ned says, he’d better, and Chase says, he brought a pie. It’s a cake and a pie; it’s a hybrid. Olivia says, it’s a start, and takes the box from him. She says, maybe change will be the theme this year, and they’ll all actually eat some turkey. Valentin comes in, and says, that didn’t take long. Out with the old, and in with the new, right?

TJ asks what Marshall’s name is again, and he says, TJ can call him Marshall for now. TJ says, they seem to be at an impasse. Clearly, he’s distressed about something, but can’t tell TJ what it is. Marshall says, he wants to, but he’s second guessing himself in real time; everything is coming out wrong. He tends to do that. Jump in headfirst, and suffer the consequences later. He doesn’t blame TJ for being suspicious. TJ says, subterfuge is not Marshall’s game. It bothered him so much when Marshall took off, TJ mentioned it to his uncle and another doctor. Marshall says, Dr. Robinson? and TJ asks how he knew. Marshall says, he guessed. He wishes he had gone about this differently, but what’s done is done. He just doesn’t want TJ to react like his uncle did. TJ says Marshall is still talking in circles, and he’s getting frustrated. What does Marshall want? Marshall says, to be part of the Ashford family, and TJ says, he gets it. Thanksgiving can be rough. People rushing around, going to nice warm gatherings with family and friends. If Marshall is feeling lonely, the holidays can exacerbate that, but Marshall says, the holidays and loneliness have nothing to do with this. He’s finally able to reach out to Curtis, after being unable to for a long, long time. Maybe too long, and he’s going about it all wrong. He’s not sure what to do about it, but it’s not TJ’s problem, and it’s not fair to enlist his help. This is something Marshall has to do on his own. TJ asks what Marshall is talking about; just tell him who Curtis is to him? Marshall says, Curtis is his son.

Elizabeth asks Portia if she should bring anything for dinner, but Portia says, just her crew. Finn comes in with Violet, and Portia says, unless Miss Violet is allergic to pumpkin pie. Violet says, no, but her daddy says she’s allergic to bedtime. Portia says she’ll see them later, and leaves. Finn asks if Elizabeth is ready to head out, and Violet says, there’s no rush. This day is already great. They’re together.

Phyllis sees Nina at the hospital, and Nina asks what she’s doing there. Phyllis says she volunteered to in there today, and just finished. It doesn’t hurt that staying busy keeps your mind off… everything. She asks if Nina has Thanksgiving plans, and Nina says she got an invitation to join her friend Curtis, but she doesn’t know. She’s having a tough time. Phyllis takes her hand, and says, you and me both.

Sam says she can’t believe Drew is standing there, and invites him in. He says, it’s surreal for him too, and she asks if he’s okay. He says he’s in one piece, so there’s that. She says, that’s a plus, and he says, he owes her a huge thank you. He heard she dropped everything and came looking for him with Dante. She says, but they didn’t find him. How did he get back? He says he had a lot of help.

Anna says, it smells incredible, and Sonny says she can come there any   time she wants. She thanks him, and says he doesn’t think she came there to score an invitation. What’s going on?

Carly guesses the trip was a whirlwind, and asks Britt, how’s Liesl? Britt says, good. She’s actually here, getting her injuries looked at. Carly asks, what about Peter? and Britt says, he’s captured and in custody. Carly says, thank God that guy’s reign of terror is finally over. It’s long overdue, but it’s finally finished and everyone is safe… Everyone’s safe, right?

Brook thought Valentin moved out, and he says, don’t worry about it. He and Charlotte have vacated the premises. He’s there to pick up some things the movers overlooked. He pours himself a drink, and Monica says, she knows this has to be painful and shocking for him. Olivia says, all things aside, they know how much he loves Bailey. Valentin thanks her, and says, he’ll survive; he always does. He says, no Michael? and Ned says, he and Willow took Wiley to New York City for the holidays. Olivia says, they thought Wiley would get a kick out of the parade, and Valentin says, maybe they’ll be kind enough to fill Michael in. Ned says, on this, and Valentin says, yeah, be sure to detail the depths to which his daughter has sunk, but this is an ELQ matter. He’s filed a motion nullifying their agreement. Brook says, he can’t do that, but he says, he can and he did. She admitted Bailey wasn’t his daughter; that voided their contract. That makes her ELQ shares once again his ELQ shares. That gives him an insurmountable majority, and cements his position as CEO of ELQ. Happy Thanksgiving.

TJ asks if Marshall is really his uncle’s father, and his father’s father. Marshall says he is, and TJ says, that makes him… Marshall says, his grandfather. TJ asks if he’s telling the truth, but Marshall says, he wouldn’t lie about this, and TJ says, he supposedly died a long time ago. Marshall says, it’s a long story, and not a pretty one, but he’s not an imposter. He’s not playing TJ or Curtis. He’s TJ’s grandfather. It feels good to say that, and see this fine young man standing in front him. He hopes TJ accepts what he’s telling him; accepts him. He holds out his hand, and TJ takes it. Marshall laughs, and Curtis comes in, asking what the hell Marshall thinks he’s doing. Marshall says, Curtis needs to watch his language in the chapel, and Curtis says he was trying to get there first to prepare TJ, but TJ says, it’s all good. Now they can finally put a name to the face of the stranger they wondered about; he’s family. Curtis says TJ needs to do him a favor, and leave.

Sam says, Drew and Jason teaming up to take down Peter, that’s something she would love to have seen. Does Monica know he’s home yet? He says, not yet, but he’s heading over there, and Sam says, this is going to be the best Thanksgiving ever for her. Dante comes downstairs with Scout, and stops short seeing Drew. Drew says, Scout. Look at her. She’s all grown up. Sam says, she’s not all grown up, and Drew says he’s so happy to see her, but Scout clings to Dante.

Anna tells Sonny, she and Robert went to Greece. They got information that Peter was holed up on Cassadine Island. He says, Jason’s in Greece; he and Britt went looking for her mother. Anna says she knows, and asks if they can sit down.

Carly asks what Britt isn’t telling her, and Britt flashes back to the tunnel collapsing. She says she just wants Carly to know, if it wasn’t for Jason, she and her mom wouldn’t have made it home alive. Carly says, that’s great, but she’s more concerned about Jason. Where the hell is he? Britt starts to cry.

Ned says Valentin doesn’t honestly think this will work, and Valentin says he does actually. Detective Chase came forth and clamed Bailey as his own, which was very honorable of him. He tells Chase, a word to the wise; honor is in short supply in this house. He tells Olivia, brining the turkey was an inspired choice; very succulent. She says, he tasted it? and he says he got his before the dog descended on it. Annabelle II barks, and Valentin says, rave reviews all around. Brook says, really? and they all run out, except for Monica.

TJ says, obviously, he’s missing something, and Curtis says, Mr. Ashford and he need to talk alone. TJ says he’s sensing that’s not the best idea, but Marshall says, it’s okay. TJ’s uncle is right. They have some unfinished business. TJ starts to leave, and Marshall says, looking at TJ, who and what he’s become, his father would be proud. TJ leaves, and Marshall says, okay, it’s just us, son. Curtis says, stop calling him son. It’s a privilege that’s earned. Marshall got his chance and blew it. There’s no going back.

Phyllis says she wishes she had come magic words to explain why bad things happen to good people, and Nina says, they happen to bad people too. Phyllis says, Nina’s not bad. She’s had a wound inside her since her baby was taken from her; maybe before. Nina says, it doesn’t excuse what she did, and Phyllis says, no, but taking responsibility is the first step to redemption. Nina asks if that’s a quote, and Phyllis says it is. Nina asks who said it? and Phyllis tells her that she did. They laugh, and Nina says she’s putting her foot down. Phyllis isn’t spending Thanksgiving alone or at Charlie’s. She sees Portia, and asks if Portis thinks she has room for one more tonight. Portia says, absolutely. The more the merrier. Nina and Phyllis hug.

Elizabeth says she just needs to change out of her scrubs, but Violet says she looks pretty, and asks Finn, doesn’t she? Finn says she does, and Elizabeth says she won’t be long. Finn says, and then it’s turkey time, and Violet asks if she can have the wishbone. Finn thinks that can be arranged. Elizabeth asks if she has a special wish in mind, and Violet says it’s about Elizabeth and daddy. Finn says she has to keep it a secret, or it won’t come true.

Sam tells Scout, don’t worry; there’s nothing to be afraid of. Dante says, it’s her dad. Can she believe it? Sam says, he’s been gone for a while, but he’s back now, and Dante says, it’s amazing news. Drew says he knows she’s surprised; he is too. They don’t have to rush. They can take it slow, and get to know each other again. Scout nods, and he says, the good news is, they’ve got nothing but time.

Sonny says he heard talk that Drew survived the plane crash, and Anna says, there was no plane crash; it was staged. Drew was being held prisoner by Peter with Victor’s assistance. Peter is in custody, and Victor cut a deal. Sonny says, Drew’s coming home; two out of three ain’t bad. Anna says, while they were there, they learned Peter had Britt and Jason, and Sonny asks if they got them out. She says, actually, they got themselves out. They had Jason to help. Britt and Obrecht got home… He says, Jason didn’t? and she shakes her head.

Carly tells Britt to say it, but Britt says, she doesn’t want to. Carly tells her, say it, and I want to slap her. Britt says, Jason’s gone.

Monica says, Valentin is enjoying this, isn’t he? and he asks if she’d call him childish if said yes. She says, revenge can be sweet for the moment, but it’s not going to make Bailey his. Ned comes in, brandishing a turkey leg, and says he hopes Valentin is happy. This is all that’s left of a 25 pound turkey. Valentin says, what a shame, but there’s always next year, and Brook says, he waltzes in there, taking back ELQ, and ruins her family’s Thanksgiving, and he talks about her depths? He says she took his child, and she says, Bailey isn’t his; get over it and move on. He says he thought he respected her, but he really just found her moderately attractive.  Now he doesn’t have to stick around and watch looks go to ruin. Chase tells him, watch it, but he says he’s just getting started. Without her singing voice, she’s just the runt of Quartermaine litter. She has less class than the family dog. Chase says, that’s enough, and punches him.

TJ wants to talk to Portia about a patient; the one he treated a couple weeks ago who took off. He just saw him again, and she’ll never believe this. She tells him, he said he was TJ’s grandfather, and he asks how she knew. She says, Curtis told her. He was on his way to fill TJ in, but she guesses Marshall beat him to it. He says, they’re together in the chapel right now, and she asks if he thinks Curtis needs backup. He says, since he was ordered out of there, he’d say, leave them be. She asks how Curtis seemed, and TJ says, not good. He’s worried about Curtis. She says, so is she.

Marshall says, TJ is willing to give him a chance. Why won’t Curtis? Curtis says, Marshall doesn’t get to make him the bad guy, not after Marshall went behind his back to tell his nephew. Marshall says he thought Curtis already told him. If he overstepped his bounds… Curtis says, Marshall thought he’d already told TJ? Told him what? That they have the same DNA? That Marshall waited three years before he disappeared, and his family believed Marshall was dead? He grew up without a father, and grew up with a mother who was chronically ill because when Marshall left, it devastated her. Now Marshall marches boldly back into Curtis’s life, without a semblance of an explanation. Does that about sum it up? Marshall says, he told TJ the simple truth. He came back to reconnect with his family. Curtis says, they are not and never will be Marshall’s family, and Marshall says he doesn’t expect to be invited to dinner anytime soon. He knows he has a lot of work to do before he can earn Curtis’s trust, but TJ’s a grown, and unless Curtis is claiming to speak for him… Curtis says, TJ speaks for himself, and Marshall says, then they’ll keep the resentment there, between the two of them, where it belongs. You do you, and I’ll do everything in my power to prove myself, or die trying. He tells Curtis, happy Thanksgiving. He says, he doesn’t know about Curtis, but he’s feeling grateful, and leaves.

Drew says he bets Scout thought he forgot, and unwraps a glass unicorn. He hopes she still collects them, and Sam says, she does. Scout asks if she can take it, and Sam says, of course (🍷). Scout thanks Drew, and goes to show the boys upstairs. Sam tells Drew, she knows it doesn’t feel like it, but she thinks it went really well. Dante offers to leave, but Drew asks him to stay. There’s something the both of them need to know. It’s about Jason.

Sonny asks if Peter sabotaged the tunnel, but Anna says, no. He was trying to escape, using Britt and Obrecht as hostages. Jason and Drew were a formidable team, as she understands it, but there was a gun fight, and the tunnels were already unstable. He asks if they took Jason out, and she says, she had a rescue team within the hour. She promises him that they did everything they could.

Britt tells Carly, they did everything they could. If Jason had survived, they would have saved him. Carly says, no body was found? and Britt says, sometimes you don’t find a body. 50 tons of earth came down on him, and there was no sign of life detected. Carly says, no, not Jason. Jason has beaten the odds over and over again, and he’s going to beat the odds this time. She’s going to Greece. Britt says, listen to her. Jason is gone. Even saying the words makes her want to curl into a ball, but it’s true. Jason is gone and not coming back. Carly says, because of Britt, and now I want to slap and kick her.

Valentin tells the Quartermaines to enjoy what’s left of their dinner, and walks out. Monica says, this is why she has Luigi’s on speed dial.

TJ goes to the chapel, and asks if Curtis is okay. Curtis says he didn’t want TJ to find out from Marshall, but TJ says, it doesn’t matter. Curtis says, it does to him, and TJ says, at least they know who he is now, and why he’s been asking questions. God knows he has a ton of his own. Curtis says he understands why TJ wants to ask questions and find out more. Marshall is his grandfather; why wouldn’t he? TJ says, but Curtis doesn’t trust him? Curtis says he doesn’t, and doesn’t think TJ should either. Proceed with caution. TJ wonders if they can get out of there. Everyone is going to Dr. Robinson’s. Curtis says he doesn’t think he’d be good company, and asks TJ to send his regards. He’s heading to the club; he’s got some work he can do. TJ says Curtis can send his own regards. He’s coming. Curtis tells TJ to go hang with his colleagues and friends, but TJ says, not without Curtis. Curtis says TJ is as stubborn as a mule, and TJ tells him, they say it runs in the family.

Elizabeth meets Finn and Violet, and Violet says, that took forever. Finn says, it was worth the wait, and Elizabeth says, an upgrade from the scrubs? but he says she looks pretty amazing in those too. Portia comes by, saying, she’s glad she caught them. There’s been a change in plans. Nina and Phyllis join them, and Nina asks if dinner is off. Portia says, no. Same people, same food; just a different venue.

Sam says, so Drew is telling them that there’s no chance? and Drew says, not even Jason could have survived that cave-in. Sam looks at a photo of Jason and Danny, and says, it’s so unreal. Scout gets her father back, and Danny loses his. Drew says he’s sorry. If it eases the pain even a little bit, he owes his life to Jason. If Jason hadn’t shown up, he would be dead or still controlled by Peter. Jason is a hero. Dante says, that sounds about right, and Sam says, it means a lot, and thanks him. Drew says he’s got to go. He doesn’t want Monica hearing the news from someone else. He’ll leave his number, and if Sam needs anything, he’s only a phone call away. She doesn’t have to search for him this time. She says she’s glad he’s home, and he says, him too. He leaves, and she looks at the picture again. Dante says he’s so sorry, and she says, her too.

Anna tells Sonny, it’s so unfair. Jason worked hard to get back to his life, only to have it taken away again. Sonny says, this time for good. Carly… She says she thought they’d both be there, and she could tell them together, but he says he’s going to have to tell her. Did Anna tell Robin? Anna says she’s dreading this conversation, and he says he appreciates her coming by to tell him. He knows it’s hard for her too. She wipes some tears away, and says, she and Jason were often on different sides of the law, but she had respect for him as a person and a parent. Sonny says, it was mutual, and Anna asks if they can maybe just lean on each other about this. He hugs her, and she says he’s got this. She leaves and Sonny knocks some stuff around. At least the moss bowl 🎍 is out of harm’s way.

Carly says she gets that Peter set this whole thing in motion, and he’s going to pay, but Britt? Jason had feelings for her. Look what it cost him. Even when they ended things, Jason had this responsibility or guilt or whatever the hell she wants to call it. So much so, he went looking for her mom in Greece. So when Carly rewinds the tape, she wishes Jason never met Britt. The nasty bitch walks away, and Britt says she wishes that too. I gave she-devil Carly the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but she leaves herself out of every equation that she’s a part of. If not for Carly, Jason would be alive.

Anna calls Valentin, and says, guess who’s home? He says he looks forward to hearing all about Greece tomorrow, and she asks, what’s wrong with now? He says he’s in the middle of something, and she wonders if he’s all right. He says he’d rather tell her tomorrow, but welcome home, darling. He looks at a photo of Bailey on his phone, and his finger hovers over the delete button, but he doesn’t touch it. He takes a drink instead.

Britt goes to the reception desk, and flashes back on Jason saying there’s no way to predict anything. That’s not how life works. The future is an idea; it’s not a guarantee.

Sam asks if Dante is disappointed they bailed on Thanksgiving, but he says, no. He can have pizza anytime he wants. She says, what about the kids? but he says, the kids are fine. They spend plenty of time at the Quartermaines as it is. They’re right where they’re supposed to be. She says she knows Jason lived a crazy life. She had a feeling this was going to happen. She just didn’t think it would happen so soon. Dante holds her.

Carly comes back and sees Sonny through the window. She sits at the patio table, and cries. Sonny looks out the window, and watches her.

As they arrive at the club, Curtis tells TJ that he talks a good game, but he really didn’t want to spend Thanksgiving alone. TJ says, that’s a relief, and Curtis asks, why? They go inside, and turn on the light. Everyone is there, and they yell, surprise! Curtis asks, what’s going on? and Portia says, since he wasn’t up to joining the celebration, they brought the celebration to him. She tells everyone, dig in, but Curtis says, hang on. If his Aunt Stella were there, she’d say they’re forgetting the most important part. Violet says, thank you for the food. Thank you for my family. Curtis says, amen, and everyone starts to eat. Curtis kisses Portia.

Monica looks out the front window, and sees pizza boxes. She says, look at that. She didn’t even have to order this year. They just brought the pizza. She opens the door, and Drew is holding the boxes. He says he rolled the dice, and brought some with him.

Tomorrow, Scotty tells his schnitzel, welcome back; Monica tells Drew, don’t ever say anything like that again; Britt tells someone, if they tell anyone what they saw, she’ll have them fired; and Carly tells Sonny, Jason could still be alive.

Below Deck

Eddie tells the deckhands that the wind is too strong, and tells Jake not to give the go ahead until everything is secured. He never wants to see something blowing off the boat again. In Eddie’s interview, he says he needs the deck team to step up, so he can focus on his job as first officer, and his education in the wheelhouse. He tells the deckhands, he doesn’t want one more effing thing falling off the boat. Jake says he hates the effing cushions. Heather calls the provider for neon décor and balloons, specifically a seven and a five. The guests lounge around, and Rachel demonstrates 80s dance, the vacuum cleaner, in the galley. She brings Captain Lee breakfast, and Heather tells him that they’re having an 80s party for Primary Ronnie’s 75th. The captain says he already did the 80s once. In his interview, he says he met his wife Maryann in the 80s. It changed his life. So in the 80s, he was changing his life. He was also trying to look cool, but that didn’t work out. We see a picture of him back in the day, but IMO, he looked pretty good.

Heather tells Captain Lee about Jessica’s grandmother having a procedure. I love this vague word, which could mean pretty much anything from an ingrown toenail to cancer. In Heather’s interview, she says she notices the difference in Jessica from day one to now, and we flash back to when Jessica was peppy in the beginning. Heather says she understands what’s going on with Jessica, but at some point, she needs to leave it in the cabin, and show up to do her job. The guests do water sports. In Rachel’s interview, she says she’s making Mexican food for lunch, and Mexican is up her alley. It’s great going in, and interesting coming out. Fraser asks if Heather missies her partner, and she says, definitely, but it’s something they’re used to, since the priority was always yachting. Fraser says he’s craving male attention, and in his interview, he says his first relationship lasted two and a half years. His partner was ten years older, and they were in different stages of life, so it had to end, and he was shattered. It feels like he’d better get back into it. Lunch served, and primary Ronnie says, if Rachel wanted to start a restaurant, she definitely could. In Heather’s interview, she says she’s looking forward to the 80s party. She was in the womb in the 80s, and doesn’t know much about it, but she can channel it. Rachel is told by the guests that it was the best meal ever.

Jake thinks Wes and Jessica should hook up. In his interview, he says, Wes has no game whatsoever, but he’s going to try and help him. He tells Heather that they need a push. Jake tells a TMI story about twerking, and thinking pushing out a fart would be funny, and ending up pushing out something else. Sh*t happens… literally. The trampoline goes flying, and in Eddie’s interview, he says, WTF? Wes goes out to get it on a jet ski, and in his interview, he says, Baywatch in action. He’s a skinnier version of The Rock. Call him Pebble. In Captain Lee’s interview, he says, in 35 years, he’s never seen wind blow with such intensity for so long. It’s Mother Nature giving you a wakeup call. Jessica irons, and Heather passes out 80s stuff to the crew. Rachel says she loves the effing 80s, and the captain tells everyone to be in their blacks by six. Jake comes out in a neon yellow… I honestly don’t know what it is. A bodysuit with cut-outs? Fraser thinks Jake looks like a figure skater or exotic dancer; he’s effortlessly chic. I wonder if we’re looking at the same guy.

Heather tells Rachel that Rayna has a sh*t attitude, and the guests get dressed for dinner. The five balloon flies away, and the wind also takes a glass off a table, and it shatters on the deck. The guests are seated for dinner, and a lot of lobster goes out. Captain Lee joins the guests, but leaves any neon behind. Rayna is helping serve, and Heather explains that the food can’t go out without tongs to serve it. Rayna mumbles about Heather needing to do her own damn job. She’s helping; she works outside. All Fraser can come up with are ice tongs, and in her interview, Heather says she shouldn’t have to explain they need tongs. She hates the way it’s going, and how no one has the initiative to come up with a solution. Rayna tells Rachel that she’s killing it, and Ronnie picks up a gigantic steak bone, eating off of it like a caveman. Heather tells the crew to get in their 80s attire to sing Happy Birthday.

Jake tries to deal with his wedgie. Heather tells at least three crew members to let Rachel know she’s clearing the table, but ends up having to tell Rachel herself. The crew dances around in their neon, spandex whatevers, and wigs. In Eddie’s interview, he says he guesses this is what being first officer is about – leggings and a tank top that belongs to an eleven-year-old girl. Guest Stacie raves about the cake, and Captain Lee thanks them for dinner, making his getaway. Although these are relatively lowkey guests, and not like that horrifying last group. Everyone heads to bed (what I said – I’m kind of disappointed in this party), and Rayna tells Jessica that Heather is hard-headed and rude. Fraser tells Heather that he doesn’t want to put up with Jessica anymore, and in Heather’s interview, she says, it’s not a test. Either she wants to be here or she doesn’t.

Friend Issa calls Rayna, and in Rayna’s interview, she says, yachting and relationships are like oil and water. She likes the feeling of knowing someone genuinely wants to talk to you. She’s not trying to rush into anything, but reaches out for attention. Breakfast is served – lobster benedict and French toast. I don’t even like French toast that much, and I think it looks amazing. And big. Like Texas toast times four. Guest Todd sticks to scrambled egg whites, and in her interview, Rachel says scrambled egg whites are the bane of her existence, and gives two middle fingers. Eddie tells Jake that they’re dropping anchor, and to secure everything. In Eddie’s interview, he says, the last time was a complete failure, and he’s too old for this sh*t. He needs someone to take over the deck. Anchor is pulled.

Ronnie says, it’s the best three days of food he’s ever had. Rayna asks Wes to think about when dinosaurs swam in the water, and Wes bets they still are. Okay… In Fraser’s interview, he says, on a scale of one to ten, Jessica is an 8.2 in clueless. She’s neither working harder nor smarter. In Eddie’s interview, he says he’s had enough of getting yelled at for the deck team’s mistakes. This time, they didn’t even break a sweat.

The captain calls the crew to the aft deck to say goodbye. Primary Jeremy says it was awesome, and the food was spectacular. Child guest Alexander is relieved of his locked box, and Jeremy hands it to Captain Lee. When the guests are gone, the captain says, they know the drill. Fraser reveals that he has two closets; one just for uniforms. Heather is at a loss for words. It’s time for the tip meeting, and the captain says, it was a great charter. It was nice to see Jessica come out of her shell for the 80s. Jessica says, it was the purple hair, and in Fraser’s interview, he says, go Jess, less than enthusiastically. Captain Lee says, it’s almost like they all knew what they were doing. He opens the case, and says, 25 large ($25K). The crew responds with applause. He doesn’t say how much per crew member, and I try to count them fast, but they’re already gone. The captain tells them, well done. Have a good time; they earned it. Rachel makes it rain, while Heather twerks. Fraser asks Heather to put him on laundry. He’ll do nothing and not smile, and get a mention from Captain Lee. Heather tells him, who said you have to sleep your way to the top? The crew gets ready to go out, and head to a restaurant. Rachel tells Heather, curry with white pants; it’s a choice. Jake flirts with Heather, and in Heather’s interview, she says, Jake is coming on strong. If she didn’t have a boyfriend, he might stand a chance, but the ‘stache looks prettier every day. Fraser and Jake take a smoke break, and in Wes’s interview, he says, Jessica gives him butterflies. She reminds him of a big crush who broke his heart. He stopped taking chances after that. In Fraser’s interview, he says he finds Jake attractive, and might have a crush on him, but Jake is straight and he’s gay, not stupid. Jake takes off his pants at the bar, and then his underwear. It looks like they have the place to themselves, but still. There is a waitstaff. Rayna tells the bartender, the naked one is her boss.

Jake dances around, then jumps in the pool. Fraser follows, but thankfully, keeps his underwear on. They head back to the yacht, and Fraser says he’s getting naked in the hot tub. Rachel says she was okay until saw Jake’s flaccid penis flopping about. In the taxi, Jake and Fraser kiss, while Heather films on her phone. Jake says he’s not bisexual; he’s just sexually comfortable. Rachel says, nothing phases Jake, and she thinks everyone will get a ride on the mustache. Back on the boat, Eddie decides to use a blowtorch to light a cigar, and ends up setting his hair on fire. It’s put out quickly, but stinks up the place. Jake and Fraser get in hot tub. Eddie says he’s stressed because he has to work tomorrow, and asks Heather what happened with Jessica. Heather says she’s trying to keep her team intact. Captain Lee’s comment affected Fraser, and he said maybe he’d get praise if he stopped working so hard. Jake says, hummus and muffins… Everyone is so boring… A bagel for the boys… I guess he’s pretty drunk.

In the morning, Jake is still drunk, and says he’s effing trollied. The captain pumps iron, and Eddie asks if Jake remembers making out with Fraser. He doesn’t. Heather shows Fraser the video, and in his interview, Fraser says he’s mortified. Now Jake possibly thinks he’s into him, and he’s put his relationship with his best friend on the boat at risk. He’s crumbling. He says, stupid, a dozen times.

Next time, Jessica gets put on service; Heather tells Jessica, training day is over; and Eddie says he’s going to rip someone’s head off, but Captain Lee says that’s his job.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Chase’s phone rings while he’s in the shower. He grabs it, and asks Brook, what’s up? She asks where he is, and he says, in the shower; he did the turkey trot this morning. She asks if cops aren’t supposed to be peace keepers. She needs him there to keep the peace. He asks, what’s going on? and she says, nothing yet, but her father’s head is going to explode when he finds out it’s Chase, not Valentin, who’s Bailey’s father. He asks her to let him get the soap out of his eyes, and dry off, and she says, don’t forget, this was his idea. Now they have to sell it. He says he has to talk to Finn first, and she says she needs him now. He asks if she remembers who saved her bacon from Valentin, and she says, actually he saved Bailey’s bacon from Peter. He tells her, they’re in this together. Stop ordering him around, and he’ll be there soon. She says, just wear a tie, and he says, sure. It will give her father something handy to string him up with.

Austin tells TJ that he did a great job. What’s next? Is he going to choose ER again as his next elective rotation? Finn walks up, and says, infectious diseases. Austin’s loss, his gain. Austin asks, what’s the fun in that? There’s no adrenaline rush in internal medicine. Finn says he’d be surprised, and TJ asks what Austin’s plans are today. Austin says, go home, eat a turkey burger, and watch football. Marshall watches from the landing above.

Curtis is looking at the photo Marshall gave him, when Portia comes into the club. He asks what she’s doing there. He thought he locked the door. She says, no, it was open. Is he okay? He says he just didn’t hear her come in, and she says he looked like he was a million miles away. She didn’t hear back, which isn’t like him, so she decided to come check. He says he got her text, but he has so much going on. He’s sorry. What’s up? She says, dinner, for one. Is he still coming? He says, when? and she says, today. Thanksgiving? She asks if he’s okay.

Dante and Sam watch the parade with the kids from Sam’s balcony, and Rocco says, this is sweet. He wonders why they haven’t done it before, and Sam tells him, play his cards right, and he’ll get invited again. Jake says he’s glad they came; it can get boring. Dante comes up behind Sam, putting his arms around her. He wants to lock down another invite, and she thinks it can be swung. They go inside, and Jake says, that was awesome. Sam tells them to take their coats off, and asks, who’s ready for some treats? Rocco asks where the treats are, and Dante says he and Sam will get that sorted out. They have a movie ready to go upstairs, Kristina Comes Home for Christmas. The boys roll their eyes, and Sam tells Danny that he’s being rude. Rocco says, that movie’s ancient, and Dante says, that’s the point. Good old-fashioned Christmas magic. Scout says she wants to see it, and Sam says, that’s her girl. Go upstairs, and they’ll get some snacks ready. They head upstairs, and Dante says Sam saved his butt. They didn’t want to watch the movie, but she had snacks and treats. She says she has some tricks up her sleeve. She has cookies, muffins, donuts, and cupcakes from Kelly’s. He says, what about coffee? and she says, and nachos. She asks if he thinks the kids are getting along, and he says, yeah. He knows Rocco misses Charlotte. The holidays are always tough without his mom, but he seems happy with Scout and Danny. She says, Danny and Scout miss Jason, and Drew, and he says, at least they get to see their families at the Quartermaines. There’s a holiday movie for her. He thinks it would be a horror film. She says, there’s a sequel at the Davis’s. Is he sure he’s up for it? He says, of course (🍷) he is. He and her mom are good; they made peace. As long as she’s up for what that means, if they show up at their families’ houses at the holidays with their kids together. She says, it’s a big deal, and he says, it makes them official.

Brook tells Ned to go easy on the coffee. He might want to switch to decaf, the way family Thanksgivings go around here. He says, not this year. Things are finally looking up. He and Olivia are finally on the same page. After Leo’s disappearance last night at Ava’s gallery, she came to realize, Leo does need to see a specialist; that he was only acting in Leo’s best interest. Which doesn’t let Brook off the hook for letting Leo out of her eyesight, or using Austin’s genuine concern for Leo against him. She says, she did it for the family. If he’s going to be mad at her for losing Leo and sticking it to Austin, he can kiss the Normal Rockwell Thanksgiving he envisions goodbye. It’s never been the Q’s reality, and it’s not going to start now.

Chase looks in the mirror, and says he can do this. He practices telling Finn about Bailey, and says, he so doesn’t have this.

TJ tells Austin that Portia is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner. They’re all going to be there. Him and Molly… Finn says, Elizabeth and her kids, him and his daughter Violet, his brother Chase. It’s a good group. TJ says Austin will be welcome. No one should be alone on Thanksgiving. He and his Uncle Curtis will have the game on as well. Austin thanks him, but declines, and Finn asks if he’s holding out for a better offer. Olivia asks if she can talk to Austin a second, but he says, no. He’s done talking to her or anyone else in her family ever again. He walks away, and she runs after him. Finn tells TJ that he’s losing his reputation as the quirkiest doctor at GH, and TJ says he wasn’t aware that was Finn’s reputation. Finn says, diplomacy will get him far. Finn looks forward to working with him, and says, see him at dinner.

Curtis says his mind is just trying to figure out what’s real and what isn’t, and Portia asks if he’s talking about the club. Yesterday, he was wondering if the mob was blocking his musical guests, and then arranging for that singer to just magically appear. Did he figure something out? He says, yes, but it wasn’t what he thought. No shadowy organizations. That might have actually been simpler. She says, simpler than what? but he’s not ready to get into this right now. She asks if it’s about the man in the sketch, the one who was asking her and TJ questions about Curtis and the club. What’s going on? He says he wishes he knew, and she says, okay. She sees that he doesn’t want to talk about it right now, so she won’t pry, but if he changes his mind, she’s there to listen. And if he doesn’t feel like coming to dinner, she completely understands. She’ll miss him, but hopes he works through whatever’s going on. She starts to leave, but he tells her, wait. She’s the only one he can talk to about this. Would she stay? Please?

Dante and Sam get the snacks ready, and Dante asks what she wants to bet the kids will be bouncing off the walls by lunch. She says, as long as they don’t break anything too precious at the Quartermaines, she thinks she’ll be okay, and he says, the advantage of going to the Quartermaines is that everything of value has probably been broken or moved. She says, Monica does like having a full house. She’s glad they didn’t tell her that Drew is alive, because then they’d have to tell her that he’s presumed dead, and that would really hurt her. He says, came close though, and she says, it would have been the ultimate gift to bring Drew home for the holidays, not only for Monica, but for Scout. She just hopes Jason makes it home in time for Christmas for Danny’s sake. Dante says, if not, he and Rocco will come decorate the tree with her, but then they have to come and help them decorate theirs, and do things like ice skating. He can teach her how to do that too. She says she’s totally down for that; it all sounds good. Their little families are blending so well. He tells her, like his mother would say, like buttah.

Oliva asks Austin to listen to what she has to say before she breaks her ankle walking in these shoes. He stops, and she says she was wrong about him; about his motives in insisting her son needs to see a specialist. She was in denial, and the other night, something happened. Leo disappeared, and if he hadn’t given that heads up, and Ned hadn’t taken him seriously, she doesn’t think they would have found him in time. Austin says, he was near water, and she says, he was, and because Ned did his homework, they knew to search for him by the docks. Then everything just fell into place. The whole thing Austin was wondering about, and Ned was wondering about, it all makes sense. And she’s committed to getting her son all the support he needs. Austin says, that’s great news, and she says, it’s all because of him. She’s truly sorry that she accused him of using her son to further his position with ELQ. She hopes he forgives her.

Ned asks why Brook is so defensive. Does it have anything to do with Valentin and Charlotte packing up and moving out last night? She says she has to check on Bailey, but he says, stop right there. Initially, he admits he was relieved to see them go, but after seeing Yuri, he noticed Yuri was particularly upset. So he questioned Yuri, and he kept repeating the same phrase about Bailey and Belarus. Ned entered the phrase into the translator, and it was something about the right seed. He’s impressed at how she and Valentin have co-parented. It’s a sign of maturity on her part. So if she’s hit a bump, that doesn’t mean it’s insurmountable. Look at him and Olivia. Whatever’s going on, he’s there to help if he can. She says, he can’t. Valentin isn’t Bailey’s father.

Chase goes to Finn’s office, and says he was hoping to find Finn there. Finn says he’s catching up on patient files, and asks if Chase is working a case. Chase says he’s off today, and Finn asks if he isn’t overdressed for football with TJ and the boys. By the way, Violet is playing quarterback; she’s got the whole thing worked out. Chase says, about that… and Finn says, he’s still coming to dinner, right? Chase says, something’s come up.

Curtis tells Portia, after he tracked down Linc, he found out Linc was working for someone else. She says, the guy from the sketch? Not organized crime. He says he honestly doesn’t know, but the guy came in and they talked. He was the one responsible for getting the artist here. She says, which is why he was so interested in asking questions about The Savoy, but he was also interested in Curtis too. Curtis says, he was interested in both him and the club, and she says, which is why he did Curtis that huge favor? He says, apparently, but he also wanted a relationship. She asks, why? and Curtis says the guy claimed to be his father. She says she thought his father passed when he was a child, and he says, that’s what he was told, and that’s what he believed. Then this man Marshall – of course (🍷) that’s what he says his name is – comes in and tells him otherwise. She asks if he believes Marshall.

Curtis shows Portia the photo, and says, it was the last photo took before he left. She says, there’s a real resemblance between the man in the photo and the man who approached her and TJ. He says he showed Marshall the sketch, and when he asked why his mom and Aunt Stella let him and Tommy believe Marshall was dead, he couldn’t give a straight answer. He said he left because it wasn’t safe, whatever the hell that means. Curtis has to admit, it brought up feelings he didn’t know he had about not having a father in his life. How that pain and emptiness felt growing up, and he didn’t even realize it. About how a sudden disappearance suddenly made his life unpredictable. He never processed that, much less talked about it, until Marshall said he was his father. She says, he was only a child; he was three years old. He probably buried it. That’s exactly how trauma works. It seems Curtis might actually believe it’s true. He says, it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t want a relationship either way, and told Marshall that. At least he had the decency to get the hell out of Curtis’s life again. She asks if that’s the end of it? and he says, it better be, but she says she’s wondering if that’s what he really wants, or is he just trying to protect himself? He’s been a detective and a cop; he must have questions. Maybe there’s more to the story. He says, maybe.

Dante says he hopes Sam is ready to be showered with approval; his mom has been advocating for this a long time. She says she can’t believe she got Olivia’s approval, and he says, she got it big time. She says, that means a lot, and he says, he didn’t tell her, but there was kind of a situation with Leo last night. She asks, what happened? and he says, Leo is okay, but they think he might be on the autism spectrum. She says, she’s so sorry. She knows how trying that can be. He says she told him about her brother, and she says, it wasn’t nearly the same thing, but it was… challenging? He had a genetic disorder that caused behavioral issues. He was a loving boy, so well-rounded, and sweet, and kind. She loved him so much. She tears up, and Dante holds her.

Finn tells Chase, they should be together on Thanksgiving, especially since their mom and dad can’t make it. Just to guilt him some more, Violet will be very disappointed if he doesn’t come. Chase says he hate the thought of letting Violet down. Maybe he can swing by after. Finn says, after what? and Chase says, something’s come up; something he can’t get out of. Finn asks, what’s so urgent? and Chase says, it’s personal. Finn says, like a date? and Chase says, sort of. Finn asks if he can be more vague. What’s the name of the lucky lady who got him to turn his back on his family? Chase says, the mother of his child.

Ned asks what the hell Brook is talking about, and she says, does she really need to spell it out for him? He says, she means she was with more than one man around the same time, and she didn’t know who the father was? She says, it’s a little more complicated that. She knew who the father was, and decided not to be truthful about it for reasons she’s sure he can guess. He says, the ELQ shares? and she says, yes. He says, and she told Valentin last night? and she says, yes. He asks if she’s going to tell him who the father, is or does he not know yet? She says, he knows. He’s wonderful. Not that they have feelings for each other; it’s more casual. They’re friends, which is good, and Ned actually kind of likes him, more than he likes Valentin. He says, that’s not a high bar. So who is it? Who is Bailey’s father? She tells him, it’s Chase.

Finn tells Chase, wait… What?… How?… He knows how. Who’s the mother? Chase asks if Finn remembers when he and Willow broke up. Brook was on the outs with the Qs and she moved in for a while. Finn says, Brook Lynn Quartermaine, Tracy’s granddaughter; she’s the mother, and she didn’t tell him? Chase says, it’s complicated, but he just found out. Brook is a great mom. Finn says, a good mom makes all the difference. So Brook was lying to Valentin and Chase? Chase says, she was, but the lie is over, and they’re sorting through things. Finn says, just like that. Chase isn’t angry? Chase says, at first there were a lot of emotions, but he realized it’s only been a few months, and for part of that time he was living in the same house as Bailey. He held her and sang to her. Finn says, and Brook wants Chase to be part of Bailey’s life? Chase says, absolutely, and Finn says, Chase and Brook, are they…? Chase says, no; they’re just friends. Just that one time. Finn says, sorry. It’s a lot to take in. Congratulations, bro. He fathered a beautiful baby girl. He hugs Chase, saying, he’s happy for him, and Chase says, congratulations to him too. He’s an uncle. Finn says, Violet’s been asking for baby sister; he guesses a baby cousin is the next best thing. Chase asks if Finn can do him a favor and not mention it to Violet or anyone else, especially mom and dad. Brook hasn’t told her family yet, and the situation with Valentin is tricky. Finn says, of course (🍷), and tells Chase to watch his back with them. Not only does Chase have to deal with Valentin and all his nonsense, but the Quartermaines and that brings. Is he sure he’s prepared?

Ned says, Detective Chase is the father? He was here all this time, and they never said a word about it. Brook says, Chase didn’t know, and he says, she never told him? And he never even suspected? She says, she told him that Valentin was the father, and Ned says, but she knew he wasn’t. She kept the truth from Chase because she wanted use her child to get the ELQ shares back. She says, it was her fault they lost control of ELQ; she had to do something. He says, they were just shares. She kept that child from her real father. This is a mess. He has no one to blame but himself. He put too much pressure on Brook; now look where they are. Chase lost time with his daughter, and Valentin lost a child he thought was his. Both of these men’s lives have been completely upended. She says she’s so sorry, but he can’t blame himself. She takes responsibility. She truly did what she thought she had to do. He says, at least he still has his beautiful granddaughter; that won’t change. Just tell him, how did Valentin react to the news? She says, he was devastated, and very angry. Ned says, he’s bound to fight back.

Austin says he’s very happy to hear Olivia has come around, and is there for Leo. That little boy deserves the best chance he can get to have a great life. Olivia agrees, and says she’s committed to getting that for him. She just wishes she hadn’t thought the worst of Austin, and realizes now how lucky they all were that he spotted this and came forward. He says, no parent wants to hear that their child isn’t typical. There’s a pediatric neurologist at GH who’s so great. He’d be happy to give her an introduction. She says she already made an appointment online. She doesn’t want to waste any more time. He says he’s glad to hear that, and she says she’d like to make it up to him. He can join them for Thanksgiving; there’s going to be plenty of food. He shakes his head, and she says he doesn’t forgive her, and he says he can’t forgive her family for denying his father when he was alive, and again denying him after he was dead. He’s never going to forgive Brook for trying to sabotage his medical career, simply for trying to get Leo the help he needs.

Dante says it sounds like Sam didn’t have an easy childhood, but despite everything that happened, she showed love and compassion to Danny anyway. It shows what kind of person she is; a strong, fierce, independent, beautiful woman. She can think on her feet better than anyone he’s ever known. She slashed his tires to make sure he couldn’t follow her. She says he can chalk that one up to street smarts, and he says he’s grateful for her street smarts. She says, know what she’s grateful for? His openness. Even though Sonny is his father, Dante has managed to be able to be loyal Sonny and his job. He still somehow makes it work. When he runs off, she knows he’s not running off to start trouble; he’s running to stop it. That gives her peace. He says, that’s what he calls it too. She asks why her heart is beating so fast, and he says he was going to ask the same thing. They kiss, and Scout comes to the stairs, saying, the boys changed the movie.

Marshall says, Dr. TJ Marshall, and asks if TJ’s got a minute.

Curtis tells Portia, that man, if he’s his father, changed the course of his family’s lives when he disappeared. His mother became an invalid. Aunt Stella gave up the love of her life because they needed her. She taught him and Tommy how to shave. Despite all that love and strength aimed at them, they still felt the loss. They were different from the other kids who mentioned their fathers. There were always those kids with no fathers who were part of a sad club; they were members of that club. She says she’s so sorry, and Curtis says, he allowed that to happen to his family. He stayed away for decades. Now he wants to swoop back in, like some conquering hero. He saved one night at the club. What does Marshall expect from him? To welcome him with open arms – gee, pop, it’s good to see you. Not gonna happen. She says she can see why he sent Marshall away, and she hates that Marshall brought up all of this for him. He says he hates that he was reminded of it, and hates how it still eats at him. Marshall did this to him, and he doesn’t want Marshall in his life. He wishes Marshall hadn’t come back, if Marshall is even his father. She asks if he checked Marshall out, and he says he did a quick internet search. No Marshall Ashford matched his description. She says, they both know you can dive deeper than an internet search, and he says, he could. She says, but he doesn’t want to, and he says he doesn’t know what he wants to do about Marshall. He’s been kind of paralyzed since Marshall dropped his big announcement. His head’s been spinning with memories and realizations, and of course (🍷) questions. She asks if he’s reached out to Stella, but he says, no. She’s still recovering from her stroke, and this is the kind of news that could be too much of a shock to her. He does know Stella would never lie about their father to him and Tommy, ever. So he doesn’t want to risk upsetting her. She says, that’s very wise, but what about TJ? Marshall approached TJ before; he could do it again. He says he was thinking about that, but he hasn’t told TJ because he was sorting out his own thoughts. She’s right. He should give TJ a heads up. He’d hate for this Marshall guy to catch TJ off-guard like he did him.

TJ says he remembers Marshall. Marshall disappeared on him. How does Marshall know his nickname? Marshall asks if that’s not the abbreviation for Thomas Jr., and TJ asks if Marshall looked him up or something. What’s going on? Is he ill? TJ is getting off his rotation, but can make sure the attending sees Marshall. Marshall says, he’s not sick. He didn’t need medical care the last time he came to see TJ. TJ asks, then why did he come? Why is he here now? Marshall tells him, like he said, he came to see TJ.

Chase tells Finn, he knows Valentin is hurt and angry; who wouldn’t be? As for the Q’s, he’ll just have to face the music, and get through it. What else can he do? Finn says, good luck with all that. It’s going to be one hell of a Thanksgiving dinner. At least he can spend the day with his baby girl. He can’t believe he’s saying that. Chase is going to be an amazing father. He sees how Chase is with Violet, who adores him. Chase thanks him for the vote of confidence. Like he said, he’s already lived with Bailey, so he has a head start. Finn says, he must have felt a connection all along; something deep inside. Chase says, now that Finn mentions it, totally. Finn says, when Chase feels the time is right, they’ll get Violet together with her cousin. It’s one more thing to be happy for today. Chase says he has to get going, and Finn tells him, good luck with the Quartermaines, although it’s Brook who did Chase wrong. It’s hard to be angry when he has that baby girl in his life. Chase says, yeah, happy Thanksgiving, and jets. Finn watches him go down the hall, and says, happy Thanksgiving.

Ned says, the whole family will be here today, and Brook says, so? He asks what she’s going to tell them. There’s going to be a million questions. And what about the fact that Chase had a thing for her, and married Willow. And he never suspected that Bailey was his daughter. Brook says, if he remembers, Chase was nearly poisoned to death; he had bigger fish to fry. Ned can’t possibly blame Chase. He says he can and he does. It takes two to make a baby. Maybe Chase didn’t know because he didn’t want to know. He was too busy chasing Willow to step up and be a father. Or too busy snooping around there doing Austin’s biding. He’s not buying it.

Olivia says, Brook honestly thought Austin was using her son. She was just trying to protect the family, that’s all. Austin tells her, like he said, he’s really glad Leo is getting the help he needs; that’s the only thing that’s important. She agrees, but what’s done is done. Can’t he let this thing with Brook go? He says he can try, and she says, great. And the offer still stands if he changes his mind. She leaves, and Finn comes by. He asks Austin, why the long face? and Austin says, sometimes the only way to turn a frown into a smile is the satisfaction of payback. Finn says, okay. He was going to convince Austin to join them, but perhaps alone in front of the TV is a better alternative.

Brook says Ned is projecting his anger at her onto Chase. Go ahead, be mad at her; she’s used to it. He says he’s mad at both of them. It was reckless, thoughtless, and selfish, and now she expects him to sweep up the mess, and act like nothing ever happened. She says she knows it’s Thanksgiving, but don’t go all puritan on her. He’s not exactly a saint himself. He says he’s not pretending to be, unlike her wonderful guy Chase. She says, for the last time, it’s not Chase’s fault. The doorbell rings, and Ned opens the door to Chase, who says, happy Thanksgiving. He brought dessert.

Portia says, Curtis is going through a lot right now. She just wants him to know that her home is open to him. Whenever he needs her, she’ll be there. And if he changes his mind about Thanksgiving, she’ll be there with food, and a bunch of people who love and appreciate him. He says he can’t believe he tried to push her away. Talking to her was the best decision he could have made. He’s not sure if he’ll make it tonight, but he’s sure he’s grateful for her. He considers her among his blessings. They kiss.

Marshall asks if there’s someplace they can talk private, TJ isn’t sure he wants to do that. He doesn’t know who Marshall is, and he was asking a lot of questions about TJ and his uncle. He doesn’t know what this is, but he’s really not up for it. He’s had a really long night, and has somewhere to be later. Marshall says he doesn’t blame TJ for being suspicious; Curtis was the same way. Just give him a few minutes, and he promises to explain. It would mean the world to him.

Dante tells Scout not to worry. He’ll handle the boys. He promises she’ll get to watch the rest of Kristina Comes Home for Christmas. He takes her hand, and says, come on; we’ll show them. They go upstairs, and Sam breathes in the scent of Dante’s scarf. There’s a knock at the door, and when Sam opens it, a clean-shaven Drew is there.

On Monday, Portia wonders if Curtis needs back up; Valentin says, out with the old and in with the new; Chase wonders if this is a bad idea; and Sonny tells someone, long time no see.

Winter House

When we last left this bunch of miserable people, Ciara had asked if Austen kept in touch with his ex, the even-worse- than-all-of-them-put-together Madison. Austen said they didn’t talk. He didn’t want Ciara to think he was hiding anything, but Madison was literally on the cover of a tabloid, and that sh*t wasn’t easy. He didn’t want it to affect what he thought they had going on. In Ciara’s interview, she said he’d been insanely honest, and it was all she could ask. Apparently, her bar is set low. Craig asked if it bothered Lindsay that Austen was totally into Ciara, and she said, no, then jumped Jason’s bones. Ciara and Austen when to look at her ski outfit in the closet, and never came out. What is wrong with these people, playing 7 Minutes in Heaven at age 45 35 30 or somewhere around there?

There was one day left of vacation, and I was begging for it to end. Okay, I’ve begged for it to end since the first episode. Craig got a text from girlfriend Natalie that she’d gone out to dinner with Madison, and Austen was like, WTF? In Craig’s interview, he said it was insanity. Why would she go out to dinner with the same girl who’s called her a whore. We saw a clip from Watch What Happens Live, where Madison said Austen had slept with Natalie last summer, and she was now dating Craig. I’m not sure why that would determine Natalie to be a whore, but whatever. Craig felt this spoke to something in Natalie’s character that he hadn’t seen and couldn’t deal with. Austen went to Kyle, and said Ciara was a curveball he hadn’t expected, but he wasn’t in a place to be exclusive or give himself completely to someone. In his interview, Austen said that before he left, Madison had come to his house, kissed him on the cheek, and told him not to forget about her. Ugh. I’m not an Austen fan, but no one deserves that horrible woman in their life. He said it was next level manipulation, and he’d tried to cut ties. He wished it was a year from now, and said it showed timing was everything.

It had gotten warm out, and Austen said skiing in the spring was the bee’s knees, since he walked out of the 1920s. Luke’s igloo had melted, which made him sad, and we flashed back on Luke’s building skills. Everyone dressed all weird in tutus and neon and mullet wigs, looking like they were going to an 80s dance party. Or fitness class. Lindsay asked what Austen had wanted to cry to her about, but he said he was good. Lindsay told Amanda what Austen had said. She didn’t think he was over his ex enough to start something else. Jason and Lindsay agreed they on the same page, but everyone else wasn’t. It was unclear whether they meant the other couples weren’t on the same page as each other, or everyone wasn’t on their page. In Jason’s interview, he said meeting Lindsay had been unexpected, but welcome. She was wild and confrontational, but better too much than not enough. He didn’t think it was a vacation fling, and was to be continued. My guess is, it’s going to get old real fast.

Since Lindsay’s boobs were two years old, they decided to have a birthday party. In Craig’s interview, he said he was having a great time, and wasn’t excited to go back to Charleston. Finding out Natalie had dinner with Madison was evidence that Natalie wasn’t his person anymore. Luke retrieved his sap-catching bags from the trees, and said being in the city killed his soul. Amanda told Kyle about her conversation with Lindsay, and they speculated on what Austen wanted to tell Lindsay. Kyle said Austen and Ciara were separated by a couple of states, and Amanda said if Austen didn’t see a future, he should make that clear. Amanda said she didn’t want gossip be guessing what it was Austen wasn’t clear on, but they had to protect Ciara’s precious little heart.

Lindsay said she was obsessed with her own boobs, even though internet trolls said they were too far apart. It didn’t hurt that she had the nicest man in the world interested in her. Several of the guys dressed up in tutus and fake boobs, and Kyle laughed about Austen’s pierced ears. They played limbo until Kyle and Craig knocked it down. Amanda talked to Julia in the kitchen, telling her that Austen wasn’t interested in a long distance relationship. In Amanda’s interview, she said she felt like she’d been part of Ciara and Austen’s relationship from the beginning. She’d gone on their first date with them, and seen them blossom. They seemed absolutely perfect together. Which was a long way of saying she was sticking her nose where it didn’t belong. She cornered Austen, and said she didn’t want to go to Ciara without finding out the whole story. Austen told her that he wanted to say it as nicely as he could – it was none of her effing business. Amanda said Ciara was her business, and he said she needed to stay out of it. Amanda started crying, and whined that Austen was a POS. He told her, STFU, and Kyle made excuses that Amanda just cared about them, because he’s a busybody too. Amanda wailed to Ciara and Julia that she’d tried to do the right thing, Ciara was like, it’s cool, and said she’d talk to Austen. Austen said this wasn’t the way he’d wanted it to go, but Ciara said it was out there now, and why was he being defensive? He said he hadn’t come there with a bunch of friends who were all up in his business, and Ciara said Amanda was just concerned about her. She woudn’t be sleeping in his bed if she didn’t like him, and was scared something like this would happen. Austen said he wanted to see her as much as he could, and asked what her master plan was. She said she didn’t have one, and he said he didn’t either. He told her that he was drunk, and  they decided to table it for the night.

In Andrea’s interview, he said he’d come in texting two different girls, but after spending time with Paige, she was growing on him. He wanted her for himself. It was mercifully the last day, and everyone packed. Austen told Ciara that he didn’t think he was ready, and clearly had things he needed to work on with himself. He hoped they could plan on seeing each other. In Ciara’s interview, she said she hadn’t been planning on liking someone to this capacity. (Let me remind you, it’s been two and a half weeks, although it feels like years.) She said she was a hopeless romantic, and reality was hard right now. Andrea made plans with Paige, and in her interview, she said she knew this was going to happen. No one could spend 17 days straight with her, and not love her. In Gabby’s interview, she said she was glad she did it, but it was tough. At the end of the day, growth was better than a hook-up. She’d take what she could get. Ciara told Paige that she appreciated Austen’s honesty, but wondered why she always picked the ones who were emotionally unavailable. They agreed they needed a vacation after the vacation.

Paige’s parents picked her up, and Andrea helped her move a million boxes of stuff out. For two and a half weeks? She introduced him, and he made it clear they would be seeing each other. Ciara told Austen that she knew he wasn’t ready to date, but they could still be friends that kiss occasionally. In Austen’s interview, he said it had been an amazing couple of weeks. If Ciara was okay with him not being able to fully commit, then he fully welcomed her suggestion. With that, Kyle closed the door. No one will be missed.

At the end, we saw Paige and Andrea kissing in an elevator, and it said, coming soon on Summer House. Omg, it’s like a roach motel.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the hospital, Jason tells Sonny, no sign of Julian at Charlie’s. Sonny says he wants that weasel found, and quick. Cyrus possibly had Brad stabbed for Julian, and he’s going to want to collect big time. Jason says, they need to know what Julian owed Cyrus, and Sonny nods. Jason says he’s on it.

Molly comes downstairs, and tells Sam, Alexis is in the guest room, sleeping it off, and Scout is still sleeping. Sam hopes Danny is doing the same at the Quartermaines, and asks if it’s bad that she wants a drink. Molly says, after the night Sam just had, no. Sam is glad Danny missed the explosion, but she’s also glad he wasn’t there to witness the confrontation they had with Alexis. On one hand, there’s a horrible physical thing that could have happened to him today, and on the other hand, a horrible emotional one. She feels like they can’t win. Molly says, beer? Sam says, in the fridge.

Ava gets to Windymere with Julian, and Nikolas calls to her. Julian sneaks into another room, and Nikolas asks if she was able to convince Julian to leave the country.

Portia tells Sonny that she’s sorry about Dev; Trina was incredibly fond of him. He thanks her, and she says she spoke to Carly. She’s going to break the news to Trina and Josslyn. Sonny says, at least they can lean on each other.

Carly arrives home, and Josslyn hugs her. She wonders what’s going on, and Carly says she’s fine. Josslyn asks, what about everyone else? and Carly says, Cameron is fine; he’s at the hospital. She says, they know there was an explosion tonight at The Floating Rib, and a lot of people were hurt really badly. Josslyn asks about Dev, and Trina says, Cameron didn’t know what happened to him. Carly says she’s so sorry, but Dev was killed.

Laura visits Cameron at the hospital, and gives him a hug. He says, he’s okay. He won’t be able to play soccer for a while, but at least nothing is broken. She asks if there’s been an update on Franco, and Cameron says his mom is going to tell him when Franco is out of surgery. He’s really scared. She hugs him again and says she is too.

Elizabeth tells Franco, she knows he’s tired and probably feels hopeless, but he has to fight. She needs him to be with her and the boys.

Dante yells for help, Lulu in his arms. Portia calls for a gurney, and Sonny asks, what happened? Dante doesn’t know, and says Lulu was talking to him, when she suddenly touched her head and collapsed. Portia looks Lulu over, and says, one of her pupils is blown; they need to get her stabilized. Dante asks what that means, and Doc says they’ll know more after the scan. Dante says, she was just standing there like everything was fine.

Molly tells Sam, it actually turned out to be a good thing that Valentin stuck around. Sam supposes so. Alexis had a glass of tequila instead of a whole bottle of vodka. Molly says, it’s like she can hear Valentin in a way she can’t hear them. Maybe because she’s not afraid of hurting him. Molly tells Sam that she tries so hard to be strong and rational, and remind herself their mom is sick and it’s not her fault. But sometimes she wants to scream, why don’t you love me enough to do this? Sam says Molly feels betrayed, and Molly says it’s written all over her face; Sam’s too. But it’s not on Valentin’s, so maybe that’s why Alexis is more relaxed with him. Sam says she has no idea what’s going to happen. If Valentin is the one to save Alexis, she’s all for it, but she doesn’t think it’s enough. She’s not sure if anything is enough anymore.

Elizabeth says she sees Cameron has a visitor, and Cameron asks how Franco is. She says he’s still being operated on, so they won’t know anything for a while. She asks if she can get Cameron anything from the vending machine, and Laura says she’ll go too; sweet or salty? Cameron says, both, and tells Elizabeth that he’s been texting Dev, but he hasn’t answered. He’d like to see him. Elizabeth says, of course (🍷), and leaves with Laura. In the hallway, Laura tells Elizabeth, she didn’t want to say anything, but people are going to start talking about this, and Cameron should hear it from her. Elizabeth asks, what happened? and Laura says, Dev didn’t make it; he died on the way to the hospital. Elizabeth says, that poor boy. Cameron is going to be devastated. Laura is right though. Cameron should probably hear it from her. Laura’s phone dings, and she says it’s Doc. It sounds urgent. Elizabeth tells her to go.

Trina asks if Carly is sure, and Carly says, Sonny was in the ambulance with Dev when he passed. Josslyn says, he didn’t even make it to the hospital? and Carly says, his injuries were that serious. Trina says, this is so unfair, and Carly says she’s so sorry. She wishes there was something she could say, or an explanation she could give to make it better. It is unfair. It’s horrible and awful. Trina wants to see Cameron, and Carly says she’ll have someone take her. Josslyn wants to go too, but Carly hesitates. Josslyn says she thinks it’s important they’re together right now, and Carly relents. They have a three-way hug.

Elizabeth looks in on Franco, and leans against the wall, devastated. Scotty sees her, and holds her.

Ava says she told Julian about Nikolas’s generous offer. He was most appreciative. Nikolas says he didn’t do it for Julian. He did it for her, so she wouldn’t get dragged into Julian’s next disaster. Doc calls, and asks how soon Nikolas can get to the hospital. Nikolas asks, what happened? and Doc says, Lulu was caught in an explosion at The Floating Rib. They thought she was fine, but she passed out, and she’s been taken to radiology. Nikolas asks if their mother is with her, and Doc says he’s about to tell her, but thinks she could use some extra support. Nikolas says he’s on his way. he tells Ava, Lulu collapsed. She’s at the hospital. Apparently, she was in some kind of explosion. Ava asks if she’s all right, but he says, it sounds like they don’t know. They’re running tests. She asks him to keep her updated, and he leaves. She says, this can’t be happening. Julian comes out, and says, they don’t know anything yet. She says, they know Lulu was in an explosion, and she’s at the hospital. He could have just murdered her husband’s sister.

Scotty goes into Cameron’s room with Elizabeth, and Cameron asks if she was were able to find Dev. She says she’s sorry. She hates to tell him this, but Dev’s injuries were too severe. She’s sorry. Cameron cries, and she holds him.

In the chapel, Sonny lights a candle. Dante says he went halfway around the world to protect Lulu, and when he came back, he was so messed up, he had to leave his family again; this time to protect them from him. He told himself that he was doing the right thing, even though it hurt them. What he should have been doing every day was telling his family, his wife and kids, that he loves them. He never should have left.

Ava tells Julian, innocent people were hurt or they’re dead because of him. He says, it was supposed to be empty. He didn’t know. She says, it’s a restaurant. How the hell was it supposed to be empty? And he did know. Do her the courtesy of not lying to her face. There’s a knock at the door, and Julian hides. It’s Jason.

On the phone, Sonny asks, what kind of explosive device?… Any leads on how it got there?… Okay, thanks. He hangs up, and says, son of a bitch.

Laura sees Doc, and asks, what’s wrong? He says, it’s Lulu. She and Dante were in the chapel, and she lost consciousness. Fortunately, Portia was on duty, and ordered a CT scan. Laura says she was with Lulu earlier, and she seemed fine. He says, according to Dante, they were having a conversation, and Lulu grabbed her head and collapsed. Dante joins them, and Laura asks, what happened? He says, it was like a switch flipped. One moment, they were talking, and the next moment, Lulu was out. Portia comes out, and says she has the test results.

Portia tells them, the tests revealed a cerebral contusion; a traumatic brain injury. It usually occurs when there’s been a blow to the head. Because the body’s inflammatory response sends fluids and nutrients to the primary injury in an attempt to heal it, it’s caused a secondary brain injury of cerebral edema. The skull is immovable, so there’s no room for the brain to swell. It’s currently compressing the ocular motor nerve, and other parts of the brain as well. Dante asks if they can stop the swelling, and Portia says, lifting the skull off the brain will cause the swelling to cease, and hopefully minimize any damage and prevent further damage. Nikolas has joined them, an asks if she’ll recover, but Portia says, their first step is to get her through this procedure. Laura asks if she can see Lulu, but Portia says they had to move quickly, so Lulu is already in surgery. Laura cries.

Ava says if Jason is looking for Nikolas, he’s on his way to the hospital. His sister was injured. Apparently, there was an explosion at The Floating Rib, but she doesn’t have any details. Julian listens in, and Jason says he hadn’t heard about Lulu, but he knows two people were killed. Where’s Julian? He starts to open the door to where Julian is hiding, but his phone rings. Sonny says, anything? and Jason says, nothing yet. Sonny says he spoke to their guy at the PCPD, and it was a bomb. He’s going to have Carl pick up Sam and the kids. Jason says he’ll meet Sonny back at the house, and Sonny asks him to put Ava on. Jason gives Ava the phone, and Sonny says, he needs to talk to her. Somebody blew up The Floating Rib; it could be the start of a war. He’s going to have Avery go with Jason so he can bring her to his place. Ava says she respects what he feels he needs to do for his daughter, but Avery is quite safe there. She’s sleeping. Just let her stay, at least for tonight. He tells her to put Jason on, and she gives Jason the phone. He asks what Jason thinks, and Jason thinks Avery is safe for tonight. Sonny says, okay. Jason tells Ava, if she hears from her brother, call him. After he leaves, Julian comes out.

Molly tells Sam, maybe they can get their mom to rehab, and Sam wonders how they would do that. She’s not going to check herself in, and after tonight, her walls will be up higher than ever. There’s a knock at the door, and Sam opens it to Carl. She asks if something happened to Jason, but he says, Jason’s fine. He was instructed to take them to Sonny’s house. Molly asks if Jason sent him, but he says, Sonny did. Sam says, no one called her, and Carl says Jason just texted, and said he’d explain everything once they got there, but the most important thing is that they move now.

Sonny calls Carly, and tells her, Lulu collapsed; she’s in surgery. Carly asks if she’s going be okay, but he says, they don’t know yet. She says, poor Laura; poor Dante. How is he holding up? He says, Dante is staying strong, but he’s scared. She wonders if this night could get any worse, and he says, the explosion wasn’t an accident; somebody bombed the place. He sent Carl to pick up Sam and the kids. Ava thinks Avery is safe at Windymere, but he doesn’t know. Carly says she let Josslyn and Trina go to the hospital to see Cameron; she sent Trent with them. As they hurry to Cameron’s room, Sonny says he sees them, and she asks if she should get ready to leave. He says, he’s not ready to send her and the kids away, but this was a bomb. It’s no joke. He just wants to keep his family safe, so they stay – for now. He’ll be coming home soon. She tells him, be careful, and he says he loves her. She says she loves him too.

Josslyn and Trina hug Cameron.

Scotty tells Elizabeth, Cameron is a tough kid. They’ll get through this. Elizabeth doesn’t know how Scotty can be so calm. Ever since she found out about Franco’s tumor… He says, what tumor? and she says she’s so sorry. She thought he knew. She just assumed, since he was talking about Franco being a fighter. He says, Franco is a fighter. He just assumed Franco got banged up in the explosion. She says, Franco’s tumor is back, and it makes treating his injuries more complicated. He says, it makes sense now. Franco was acting crazy about his insurance policies. He thought it was just the dehydration, but there was no dehydration, was there? She says, last night, she found out about the tumor, and that it’s inoperable. He wonders why Franco didn’t tell anybody, but she doesn’t know. He didn’t tell her either, but when he did, she convinced him to get a second opinion. Scotty says, he should, and Elizabeth says, they were in a hopeful place, then tonight happened. Now Franco is really scared. Scotty says, scared he won’t wake up? but she says, scared he’ll wake up a different person.

Sam tells Carly that she’s surprised Scout fell asleep so quickly. Carly says, it was an eventful night. How is she holding up? Sam says she’s tired of the whirlwind, and her? Carly says she doesn’t know what to do. She knows Sonny and Jason will tell them if it’s too dangerous to stay. Sam asks if that’s okay with her; just pack everything up and go to Puerto Rico. Leave behind her family, friends, and job, everything. Carly says, it’s not okay, and she prays it doesn’t come to that, but this is the life she chose, and by extension, the life she chose for her kids. Sonny never pretended there was no risk. Sam says, neither did Jason. Jason comes in, and Sam hugs him.

Ava tells Julian to give her a good reason not to call Jason back. He says Jason would kill him, and she tells him, she said a good reason. He asks if she wants him dead, and she says she’s been desperate to keep him alive. So desperate, she enabled him to the point he brought a bomb into The Floating Rib, and blew the place up. Jason said two people died. She doesn’t think that would have happened if she hadn’t been running in circles trying to keep him alive. She should have let his actions catch up with him, and let him suffer the consequences. At what point does keeping him alive make her an accomplice?

Jason asks how the kids are, and Sam says, good. Danny is at the Quartermaines, and Scout is asleep upstairs. He says he’s sorry he didn’t call. Carly asks if it’s confirmed that it was a bomb. Jason says they don’t know who planted it, but all signs lead to Cyrus. Carly says, that’s crazy; won’t it bring Federal attention? Jason says, the NSA is  going to be all over it, and it won’t be lost on anyone that it happened within six months of Cyrus moving to Port Charles. She wonders what could possibly be worth taking a risk like that, and Jason says, me.

Josslyn says, she’s thankful Cameron is okay, and Trina says, her too. If they’d lost him… Josslyn tells her, don’t even say it. It’s horrifying enough about Dev. Trina says, it doesn’t feel real, and Cameron says, it doesn’t. Trina says, Dev is gone. They’re never going to see him again. Cameron says he thought Dev was going to be okay. Franco was hurt, so he went with him, and left Dev to die alone. Josslyn says, Dev wasn’t alone; he had Sonny. Cameron says he can’t stop thinking about it. He keeps running through his mind. It’s so random. Why Dev, and not him? Trina says, that’s not a question that he should ever have to answer. What he needs to ask himself is, he lived, so what does he do with that? How does he not waste the time he has left?

Laura tells Doc, she saw Lulu walk out of the rubble, and she was so relieved. Dustin was dying, Dev was dying, and she thanked God for keeping her daughter safe, but she wasn’t safe. She should have known. Doc says she couldn’t have known; no one could have. Dante comes into the chapel, and sits down.

Lucas tells Elizabeth, the surgery went better than expected. They were able to repair the blood vessel, and loosen the tumor, which will relieve pressure on the brain. There’s still no guarantee what condition Franco will wake up in. Elizabeth says she understands, and asks if she can sit with him. Lucas says, of course (🍷), and she thanks him. She goes into Franco’s room. His head is all bandaged and has electrodes attached to it.

Portia says, Lulu is out of surgery, and Laura wonders when she’s going to wake up. Portia says, Lulu is in a coma, but that’s to be expected. They won’t know how it went until the swelling has gone down. Laura asks if she’ll wake up, but Portia can’t answer that right now. Dante asks where Lulu is now, and Portia says, she’s in ICU. He asks, can he be with her? If it’s okay with Laura. Laura says, of course (🍷).

Josslyn says, that was super deep, and Cameron says, it was. Trina says they can make fun of her all they want, but Josslyn says Trina is right. Oscar, Dev, Trina’s dad, no one knows how much time they have. Why waste it? They should make the most of it. Cameron says he wants to be more grateful, and Trina says, her too. Not just for the people in her life, but the opportunities they’ve been given. Cameron says, everything. They’ve been given a lot more than most have. Josslyn says she wants to be brave, and Trina says she is brave. Josslyn says, braver then. She wants to be real, and say what she feels, but not in a bad way; she doesn’t want to trample people. She wants the courage to put herself out there. Trina says they could all benefit from doing that more, and Cameron says he definitely could.

Julian says, of course (🍷) Ava feels terrible about Lulu; he feels terrible. She says, does he? and he says, of course (🍷). He never wanted this to happen. All he wanted was for Lucas to keep the son he loved. That’s how this whole thing started. Sonny could have been a reasonable person, and never gone to extremes, but they both know he’s not. So he was in fear for his life. He’s not the bad guy; Sonny is the bad guy. Ava says, every single action Julian took to avoid being killed came at too great a cost. He has just two choices; either go to Sonny and let him finish it, or leave now and don’t look back.

Jason tells Sam and Carly, Cyrus believes to get to Sonny, he’s got to get rid of him. First, there was the motorcycle accident, and it’s what he thinks happened with The Floating Rib. Carly says, because he was there? but he says, he’s just guessing. He thinks Cyrus is having him watched, and arranged to plant the bomb. It was pure luck he was called away before The Rib blew up. The good news is, Cyrus tried to take him out, and it didn’t work. Now Cyrus will have to pull back way. Sonny arrives, and Carly hugs him. He says Josslyn is at the hospital and Trent will being her home. Carly says, so it was a bomb, and it was Cyrus. What now?

Sam says, maybe they should pack up and go, and Jason says, to Puerto Rico? Sonny tells her, he’s not saying don’t go if it makes her feel better. Carly doesn’t think they’re there yet, but she wants to make sure she and Sonny are on the same page,. He says he doesn’t think so either, and it sends the wrong message.

Cameron says he thinks he should stop fronting, and put himself out there. Trent comes in, and says it’s time to get Josslyn home, and Josslyn says she’ll see them later. She’s really glad Cameron is okay. He says, me too, and Trina says, me three.

Elizabeth tells an unconscious Franco that she had to tell Cameron that Dev didn’t make it. She’s glad he wasn’t there for that. It was awful. How much loss can a kid his age take? It’s not fair. So she’s letting him know, she’s not doing this again. She’s not telling her son that someone he cares about is gone. Franco will have to push through, wake up, and be himself, telling her everything is going to be okay. Franco asks why she’s yelling at him, and she hugs him. As much as you can hug someone in a hospital bed.

Julian asks if Ava wants him to disappear; never see his kids or grandkids again. Ava says, he can stay, and let Sonny kill him, or go, and say goodbye forever. It will take Sonny and Jason 30 seconds to figure it out. He says she doesn’t know that, and she says she doesn’t, but they’re obviously leaning that way, or Jason wouldn’t have come there.  Here’s the deal. She’ll help him one last time. She’ll help him run, but if he chooses to stay, she’s out. Don’t call, don’t text, don’t look to her to save him. She won’t. If he stays, he’s on his own

Dante sits by Lulu, and says, it would be really good if she could wake up. She was in the middle of telling him something important. She was in the middle of a sentence, and he knows how she hates being interrupted. She’s got to wake up, so she can finish what they started.

Lucas tells Laura, they have to talk about Lulu’s condition. Doc says he didn’t realize Lucas was working Lulu’s case, and Laura says, Portia didn’t tell them everything, did she? Lucas says, because he’s family, Portia agreed to let him talk to Lulu’s surgeon. Traumatic brain injuries can be tricky. As in Lulu’s case, there’s often no indication that the person is injured. It’s possible that if a preemptive CT scan had been performed, they could have controlled the damage. Laura says, but it wasn’t, and they couldn’t? He says, Lulu’s brain began to swell the moment she hit her head, and Laura says, so all that time she was talking to Lulu in the ER, her brain was swelling. She should have done more. She should have done something. Nikolas says, Lulu is in a coma; her body is trying to heal. Lucas of all people knows a coma is survivable. Lucas says, they are, but he’s not going to lie. The damage is severe. Recovery will take a long time… if she recovers at all. Laura looks into Lulu’s room, and Dante takes Lulu’s hand.

Just a side note: Lulu’s injury is similar to what killed Natasha Richardson, so please, if you get whacked in the head, go see a doctor immediately. Go to the ER.

Next week – for Thursday, the guide shows a repeat from 12/23/19; and Friday is College Football – Thanksgiving in Port Charles, Dante asks what the options are, Brando asks if Sasha was scared straight, and Ava wants Julian out by dawn.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Shannon told Kelly she was reeling, and no surprise, Kelly didn’t understand the meaning of the word, and thought Shannon was talking about reeling in fish. Shannon said she wondered why Kelly didn’t come to her when she thought Shannon was selling water, and clarifies she’s manufacturing a tincture. In her interview, Kelly thought Shannon was beating a dead horse with the tincture thing, but she apologized. In Shannon’s interview, she said this was the Kelly she knew and didn’t always love. The one that comes at her, then wonders what the big deal is. The wedding moved to the bar/dancing area, and Shannon snuck over to her room to drink. Her daughters said the vow renewal was happy in comparison to hers, and Shannon said they couldn’t compare it. She didn’t think Braunwyn and Sean went through a public affair. We flashed back to Shannon’s vow renewal, and in Shannon’s interview, she said she was working on being less reactive. John was helping, and she hoped to mitigate some of the damage she’d caused. Her daughters thought she was blowing things out of proportion.

Kelly asked Braunwyn’s grandmother Mama Jo if she was ready to bang it out. She knew some guys who would love her. Mama Jo said they had to have money. Go grandma. In Braunwyn’s interview, she was impressed with Gina not drinking and showing up for her. In her room, Shannon wanted to make a cocktail for the road. Out of respect, she wasn’t drinking tequila in front of Braunwyn. Shannon and company went back to the reception, where Braunwyn’s friend Sherri was toasting to their 20 years. Braunwyn said she and Sean had to let go of what they thought marriage was, and accept what it is. Elizabeth asked if they were taking questions. Shannon said she had to decompress, and was obviously getting bombed. In her interview, Gina said, on a scale of one to drunk, Shannon is 20 sheets to the wind. Shannon harped on Braunwyn claiming she’d said Gina’s house was sad, but Emily said the only one who should care was Gina. Emily asked Elizabeth if she and Jimmy had sex, and Elizabeth said, no, since she wasn’t divorced yet. In her interview, Elizabeth said it was her business if she bangs them, when, and how. Emily thought there was more to the story, and in Emily’s interview, she said it didn’t make sense. Everyone danced, and Braunwyn and Sean kissed. Shannon told a couple of Braunwyn’s kids that her husband surprised her with a vow renewal, and it didn’t work out, but theirs was upbeat, fun, and good; different from hers. The kids laughed at her, especially when she started gesturing wildly with her hands, and she told them they were blessed. Jacob said it was awkward; she was so effing drunk.

When Shannon asked for three vodka and grapefruits, I wondered if they were all for her, since she decided to make an asshat of herself. Shannon told Kelly, to no water to Shannon’s line. In Kelly’s interview, she said Shannon needed to drink some water, and wondered why Shannon gets like that. Shannon told Kelly that she was getting a negative vibe, and wondered if Kelly still had issues. Kelly asked if Shannon was drunk, and Shannon said she didn’t drink any of the tequila Kelly brought, then insisted it had been Kelly’s idea. We flashed back to Shannon being the first to mention it on the bus, and drinking in her room. In Kelly’s interview, she asked what was worse, walking into the lobby with it, or being drunk at the reception. The cake was cut, and Elizabeth got questioned again about not having sex with Jimmy. She admitted that they’d had it once, but it was before he knew she was married. Then in the next breath, she said he knew she was married. In Gina’s interview, she said Elizabeth didn’t want them to know anything, and that made everyone want to know everything. In Emily’s interview, she said she thought Elizabeth should get away from material things, and work on who she is. In Elizabeth’s interview, she said Jimmy was hesitant about her freezing her eggs, but if she chose to have a child, she was going to have one.

It was agreed Braunwyn was fun sober. Gina asked about Braunwyn’s mom, and Braunwyn said they were nervous around each other. She’d suggested therapy together, and Deb thought they should drop acid. She said the big issue was 42 years of her life, and Emily said that wasn’t going to be fixed overnight. In her interview, Braunwyn said it was easier for Deb to deal with her when she was broken. When she wasn’t, Deb didn’t have as much of a role. Shannon thanked Braunwyn for including her whole family, and said she was there for her. She hoped they were good. She admitted she brought tequila into her room, and in Braunwyn’s interview, she sarcastically said she had no idea Shannon had been drinking. Shannon told Braunwyn that she’d only had one drink, and in her interview, Braunwyn said, she’s hammered. In Emily and Shane’s room, Emily and Gina talked about Elizabeth, and Emily said she was addicted to the lifestyle and the money. The guests cleared out, and in Braunwyn’s interview, she said tonight she’d celebrated the man of her dreams, and the family she’d created. The old Braunwyn would have been passed out already. She was grateful. Back in her room, Shannon picked at food that had been left out for hours, and tried to navigate a recliner. She asked John if there was an after party, but he suggested she just eat some food. She tried talking to the housekeeper in Spanish, and made even less sense than she did in English.

Gina had been going to AA meetings with Braunwyn, and Emily tagged along to one. She wanted to be supportive, and understand Braunwyn’s situation better. She thought everyone deserved a second chance, and Braunwyn was making a life-altering decision. In Braunwyn’s interview, she said she never thought she’d be spilling her secrets to anyone, but girlfriends were ride or die, and probably the best gift she’d been given was the women in her life.

Shannon looked pretty groggy in the morning, and had trouble with her breakfast order. She said she didn’t get any dinner like it was somebody else’s fault. Elizabeth called mom Lyn, and said they were near the house she’d built with her ex-husband, and everything about the house broke her heart. Lyn said she needed to let it go, and Elizabeth wondered why she was so effed up. In her interview, Elizabeth said she’d never had a voice. She told Lyn that people would look at her like a gold-digger when they went to trial, and she needed Botox, since her emotions could be seen.

Kelly told Emily that she and Shannon went up and down, but she wasn’t letting Shannon bother her anymore. Emily said she was proud of Kelly. Elizabeth and Shannon went to the pool, and Elizabeth said Braunwyn’s kids had lice. When Braunwyn joined them, she corrected that to only two of them. Emily asked how Braunwyn’s night had been, regardless of the lice, and Braunwyn said Gina had shown up for her. In her interview, Braunwyn said she thought her kids were just sweaty because it was hot. We saw a clip of one of them scratching his head, and she said she should have known better. Kelly announced there was no toilet paper at Costco, and read about covid online. At the time, there had only been 30 deaths, and she said people died from the flu all the time. Elizabeth thought it would be over in 60 days (yeah, we all thought that), and in her interview, said she thought it was being blown out of proportion. She told the women that her divorce was being finalized soon, so she had a lot of emotion. Shannon said this was where it gets nasty with a settlement, and Elizabeth revealed that she’d texted her ex, saying she was sorry she’d filed for divorce, and that their marriage would be over soon. She was hoping he’s say he was sorry and he loved her, but everyone agreed he was never going to apologize. Elizabeth said he’d hurt her with his behavior; he’d meant the world to her. As a husband, he was supposed to protect her. (Good luck with that.) Emily thought Elizabeth wasn’t ready for another relationship, but Elizabeth said she and Jimmy weren’t sleeping together, so they were like friends. Now I think there’s more to the story.

In their interviews, Emily said, on a level from one to ten, the confusion was a ten, and Gina said she needed a degree to follow it. Gina asked if Elizabeth had enough money without the settlement, and Elizabeth said, enough for forever. Gina said, then walk away. She promised it would kill Elizabeth. Gina walked away with nothing because if she hadn’t walked away it would have killed her, We flashed back to the reunion where Andy asked her about Matt’s domestic violence charges. Gina said she ultimately knew it was time to walk away. Elizabeth said she didn’t want him to win, and Shannon thought Elizabeth liked it. Kelly thought it was exhausting her, and she needed to get it over with. Emily said Elizabeth was upset and emotional, and Gina said she didn’t make sense. Elizabeth agreed she was a disaster, and Gina said she was attached to the material things. Kelly said, let him go. In Kelly’s interview, she told us, they say to let go of someone, you have to get under somebody else. If Elizabeth was getting it every night, she wouldn’t be talking about her ex. As they walked out, Kelly pushed Elizabeth in the pool.

Next time, Elizabeth says Shannon went off on Jimmy, Braunwyn goes to therapy, Shannon is afraid to run out of paper towels, and the schools close.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Whitney planned to have a party at Prohibition Bar, which was like a real speakeasy, and very cool. Heather had five employees who were all pregnant with boys, which I thought was pretty weird. She wondered if there was something in the water, but I don’t think the water had much to do with it. She prepared to have a group shower, and in her interview, explained that Mormon women were judged by how they raised their children, and kept their husbands happy. It was the social code they went by. That’s what was so hard when she got divorced; that was taken from her. She said she’d given up everything, and her husband gave up on her, since he said he didn’t want to be married to her anymore. She’d only married her husband because he was the perfect Mormon, and believed you should stay married no matter what, but had never really been in love, which was sad.

I wasn’t quite paying attention to why, but Jen kicked her legs up in the air while sitting on the couch at Meredith’s house. Or maybe there wasn’t any particular reason. Meredith’s kids Brooks and Chloe were there, and they didn’t come out and say it, but it sounded like Jen wasn’t wearing underwear, which totally offended them. Later, Brooks called Meredith out on allowing that behavior in their home. Meredith said Jen wanted to do a sleepover after Whitney’s party, but Brooks nixed the idea, saying it was Chloe’s last night before going back to school, or work, or wherever she was on a break from. Meredith and Mary had dinner, and Mary said her son had his first girlfriend, and wasn’t wanting to hang out at home anymore. She said he wasn’t learning anything in school. He just went there because his girlfriend did. In her interview, Mary explained that when her grandmother left everything to her, it was her whole life – her home, money, church, and her second husband. Mary was 22, and her mom had a fit, since she thought she should have been the recipient. She’d had to get to know Robert after they married, but said she couldn’t have chosen better herself. (He did look kind of young for her granddad.) Meredith said she wanted to go to Mary’s church.

Whitney brought dad Steven to Mary’s church, and in her interview, said her dad had finally acknowledged he needed help, and was considering going into sober living. We saw a clip of him saying he’d prayed for rain, and now had to go through the mud. Whitney thought it was a good opportunity for him to feel love and unity, and have more support. It’s what he needed to stay sober. In her interview, Mary said she felt being a pastor was what she was called to do, whether people liked it or not. Meredith was impressed with how Mary connected to her congregation, and Whitney saw her father feel like he was worth his life for the first time.

Jen tested out her look for the 1920’s party the day before. I thought this was a great idea, but she had a team she called the Shah Squad. If I did that myself, I’d never get it to look the same the next day. She said she depended on her team to fill the roll of her family, since she was along a lot of the time. She told them that she was supposed to have a sleepover at Meredith’s house, but had gotten a text from Meredith, cancelling. She didn’t believe Chloe wanted to spend time with her mom.

Heather had a white party shower for her pregnant employees, and in her interview, she said, the girls think they’re going to pop out perfect Gerber babies, sleep train them overnight, and have perfect Instagram lives. In her experience, that wasn’t going to happen. She wanted to let her kids choose their own path, and know that she supported them no matter what. The husband’s were also invited, and they played some cute couples games. Jen was still pissed about Mary and her hospital comment, and in Heather’s interview, she says she thought that should be dead and buried. In Jen’s interview, she said if you’re friends with Mary, you put up with her being in the Twilight Zone every other day, but Mary hurt her. Mary cut her to the core. She knew Jen was close to her aunt. Whitney – who has an irritating cartoonlike voice – told Jen about taking her father to Mary’s church, and how helpful it was. Jen was angry that Meredith had also gone. She thought there was a conflict if Meredith wanted to be friends with both of them, but she wasn’t saying Meredith needed to pick a side. Even though that’s exactly what she was saying.

Whitney got the party started, and Jen started earlier, having a few drinks before the party. When she walked in, the first thing she saw was Meredith talking to Mary.

Next time, Jen confronts Meredith about Mary, and totally pitches a fit; and Meredith says she’s separating from her husband.

🦃 Turkey Trotting Away…

I might pop in with a spot of tea on Friday, but there are no shows to speak of between now and Dead time. So whether you’re sitting down with friends and/or family in real life, Zooming it, or going it alone, have a flavorful Thanksgiving. We’re doing take-out from Boston Market, which cooks up a surprisingly good turkey, and has a kick-ass cranberry sauce, which lasts forever in your fridge. I know because I like to save that last little bit for a desperate moment. Just remember, stay safe, stay thankful, and stay counting your blessings, no matter how small. We can use all we can get in the year we thought would be ours.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Lucas tells Brad, the car won’t stop. There’s something wrong with the brakes. Kendra starts moving forward, and Brad yells, look out! The cars collide.

Julian tells Neil, no doubt Kendra is the one who poisoned Alexis. She blames Alexis for her brother’s death. Neil says he’ll call the police, but Julian says, not so fast.

Curtis tells Jordan that he can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving already. I can’t believe it’s not over already. Jordan says she’s going to have to get the Christmas decorations put out. She apologizes for not making dinner, or even ordering one. They’ve been so busy, it crept up on her. He says, after the year they had, all that matters is her being in his arms. Jordan says they still have to celebrate their anniversary, but Curtis says they’re not done celebrating yet. She asks if he has a surprise, and he brings out an envelope, telling her, tradition says paper is for the first anniversary. She says she knows he didn’t put cash in an envelope. She wonders if it’s concert tickets or a love letter. She opens it, and says it’s their wedding vows. She says she loves it, and kisses him, saying, happy anniversary. He says, the first of many, and they kiss some more.

At the hospital, Willow looks at a brochure for classes for a first time mother; caring for a newborn. She flashes back to talking to Sasha in The Floating Rib. Sasha says she knows it’s not her place to ask, but… and Willow tells her, don’t say it out loud. She doesn’t know, but she is late. Back to the present, Chase comes in, and says he got Willow a turkey sandwich. She hugs him, and then F-U George, as we’ve come to call him, breaks in with news that can’t possibly wait another almost hour.

But I got this. Chase says he should have brought her a slice of pumpkin pie too. He looks at her, and asks if she’s okay.

Carly tells Sonny, this babies are asleep, and Dev and Josslyn are out with their friends. He asks if they have the place to themselves, and she says, here come the dimples. He asks if they’re working, and she says, maybe. The doorbell rings. She thinks it might be Brad and Lucas, but it’s Jax, who says, happy holidays.

Alexis can finally move around, and looks at Kendra’s wrecked car, and the mess around her. Lucas and Brad’s car is up further, and not in plain view. Everyone is unconscious. Or dead.

Neil asks why Julian is hesitant. Alexis could be with Kendra right now. Julian says they don’t want to tip their hand. They need to know where Alexis went after she left the hospital. It’s not unusual for her not to answer her phone, especially if she’s absorbed in her work. Neil says Julian doesn’t think she’s working, but Julian says they’re talking about Alexis. Kristina sees them, and asks where her mom is. Neil says they have it handled. She asks, what’s going on? and Neil says they think they know who poisoned her mom, and why. He shows her a picture of Kendra, and she says, that makes no sense. She seems totally normal. Julian says, except they know her as Kendra Lennon. Her real name is Kendra Bower. Kristina says, Kiefer’s sister. Oh my God. She knew Kendra looked familiar. She was away at college when Kristina and Kiefer were dating, but she saw pictures. They think Kiefer’s sister tried to kill her mom?

Alexis calls to Kendra, and struggles to get up. She pulls herself up on the car, and looks inside. She leans on the car.

Jax says he came by to wish Josslyn a happy Thanksgiving, but Carly says he just missed her. She and Dev went to meet Trina and Cameron. Does he want some pie? He says he just had dinner. Sonny says they’ll tell Josslyn he stopped by, and Jax says, on second thought, he will have some pie. Sonny suggests giving him some Corinthos coffee to compliment his dessert. Carly goes to the kitchen, and Sonny tells Jax, have a seat. He’s surprised Jax is there. He usually has more important things to do. Jax wonders where Sonny is going with this, and Sonny tells him it’s just them. He doesn’t have to pretend. Carly told him the whole story.

Neil tells Kristina they can’t say for certain if her mom is with Kendra. She signed herself out. Kristina says Kendra could have followed her, and Neil says the thing that’s concerning is, they can’t reach her mom. She’s not answering her phone. Julian asks if Alexis still has the app on her phone that she used to track Kristina and Molly. Kristina thinks so, even though she tried to get Alexis to delete it. Neil asks if she could track Alexis through it. She says she’s never tried, and Julian tells her, try right now.

Alexis gets the car open, and leans Kendra back in her seat and feels her neck for a pulse. Kendra’s eyes pop open, and she turns to Alexis, grabbing Alexis’s wrist, and freaking me and Alexis the hell out. Alexis says Kendra needs medical attention, but Kendra says, it’s too late for her. She says, this isn’t over, but death won’t find Alexis like it did her brother. She falls back against the seat again.

Kristina says she found Alexis, but the signal isn’t moving. Julian tells Neil to call the cops now. He’s going to find Alexis. Neil says he’ll call from the car; he’s coming too. Kristina wants to come, but Neil tells her to stay there, and promises to bring her mother back.

Sonny says Jax’s secret is safe with him, just like his secret about Dev is safe with Jax. Jax asks what it is Sonny thinks he knows. Sonny says he understands the reason Jax doesn’t want Josslyn moving in is that he has a houseguest. What’s her name? Carly comes back with pie and coffee, and says she told Sonny that she thought Jax was seeing someone, which would explain why he’s so reluctant to have Josslyn move in. Sonny says if Jax found someone who makes him happy, good for him, but he doesn’t understand how anyone could keep Jax away from Josslyn. It must be serious.

Curtis doesn’t want to dredge up any of the challenges he and Jordan have faced in the past year. They made it through, and that’s all that matters. Jordan tells him, as Aunt Stella would say, without darkness, there is no light. He says, another testament to how far they’ve come. She’s quoting Aunt Stella. She says they can still take Stella up on a London honeymoon, but he says he thought their honeymoon would just involve the two of them, but promises they’ll have one. A bungalow on the beach, with no one around for miles, and they can make love wherever they please. They kiss, and the phone rings. Jordan says she’s on her way.

Willow tells Chase that she’s just a little emotional. Thanksgiving in the pediatric ward was fun, but sometimes it gets to her. Some of the kids are so sick, and they’re giving thanks. That’s what she needs to do. Give thanks that Wiley is healthy and happy. He says that has a lot to do with her, and the sacrifices she made. She gave Wiley an amazing life, and someday, she’s going to be a terrific mom. He saw how she was with Wiley. It was instant love. He thanks her for the tip on the Aquamat; she made him look good in front of his niece. She says she saw how he was with Violet, and he’ll make a great dad. He says, being an uncle is kind of like being a grandparent. You get to have all the fun with the kid, then send them on their way. No muss, no fuss, and best of all, no discipline. He deeply fears he’s going to be a pushover, and his kid will turn into a hopeless brat. My advice, try babysitting full-time. I was a mother’s helper for years and got all that, plus I got paid. His phone rings, and he says, it’s the station. He says he’ll meet them there, and tells Willow, sorry, but she says don’t apologize for doing his job. Just be careful. He says he’ll see her at home. She takes her phone out, and calls Sasha. She says she needs to take a test, but she’s a chicken. She can’t bring herself to buy one from the pharmacy. She tells Sasha where she is, and looks at the brochure again.

Alexis makes her way around the car, and flags down Julian and Neil. Neil sits with her, while Julian investigates the car. She tells Neil that she followed Kendra. She went to the cemetery. She was visiting a grave, and talking to her brother. She left, and Alexis went to look at the headstone, and saw Kendra’s brother was Kiefer Bower, the guy she ran over by accident. She hit Alexis with something, and next thing she knew, she was in a car. Kendra had injected her with something, and she couldn’t move. She wanted Alexis to know what was happening, and said she knew Alexis had killed her brother on purpose. Alexis had made their family suffer, and she wanted to make Alexis’s family suffer the same way. She dragged Alexis out of the car, left her in the street, and backed up. Kendra was going to run her over. Julian says, Kendra is still in the car, and Neil goes to check. He says he’s not getting a pulse; he’s going to call 911. Julian tells Alexis, it’s over. Kendra’s not going to hurt anybody ever again. He asks, what happened? Did Kendra lose control of the car? Alexis says Kendra backed up and revved the engine; she wanted Alexis to hear it. She started moving, and a car came out of nowhere. Julian notices there’s another car.

Neil says he’s calling for an ambulance. Alexis needs to get to GH right away. Julian tells Neil to stay with her; he’ll see about the other people. Alexis tells Neil, it was horrible. Kendra was going to run her over, and another car broadsided her. Neil tells her, that’s enough for now, and they hear sirens. He tells her the ambulance is coming, and she wonders how he and Julian found her.

Carly tells Sonny, Jax’s private life is none of their business, but Sonny says they’re supposed to be on the same page. That’s what Jax said when he found out the truth about Dev. Sonny’s phone rings, and he says, it’s Kristina. Sonny answers, saying, happy Thanksgiving. What’s going on? Kristina says she’s at the hospital by the main entrance. She’s not hurt, but she needs to see him. Carly asks, what’s wrong? and Sonny says, Kristina is at the hospital, and she sounds frightened. As he leaves, he tells Carly to give Jax the extra pie. When he’s gone, Carly tells Jax, this has to stop.

Sasha sees Willow at the hospital, and asks how she’s doing. Willow says she’s trying to make peace with being a hopeless coward. Sasha tells her, says the woman who went to jail rather than give up the whereabouts of her child. Sasha asks what’s the source of her cowardice, and Willow says, partly, she doesn’t want know what a pregnancy means for her and Chase; and partly because she’ll be disappointed if she’s not pregnant. It’s crazy. Having a baby would be a disaster right now. Sasha says,  temporary emotional paralysis. She can’t tell Willow how many times she resolved to tell the truth, but chickened out because someone said something that made her rethink the whole thing. Willow says that Chase told her that he’d rather be an uncle than father; all of the fun, with none of the responsibilities. Sasha isn’t surprised. Chase isn’t around kids, and a lot guys don’t really dream of being a dad until they know they’re about to become one. Willow says, it’s just so different for her this time. Last time, she was so afraid and alone, and this time, she could keep the baby. Sasha says Willow’s not alone. She has more support than she knows. She has Chase, Michael, and her. And while the two guys are good, it takes a girlfriend to bring in the practical. There’s only one way to know for sure. She hands Willow a pregnancy test.

Neil talks to EMTs about Alexis. Chase asks, what happened? and Neil says, Kendra drugged and assaulted Alexis, and was prepared to run her over, when her car was struck by a second vehicle. He asks if they can do their statements later. He needs to get Alexis to the hospital right away. She might have a concussion, and she’s still in shock. He believes the woman who attacked Alexis is dead. Neil helps Alexis to her feet.

Chase goes with an EMT to check Kendra. The EMT says, there’s no pulse or respiration. Chase makes a call, while Julian gets to the other car. He says, sorry, Brad. You forced my hand. At least he was able to save Alexis. He looks inside, and says, no, no, no, no!

Jax tells Carly, Sonny is right; the pie is delicious. She tells Jax, it’s not a good idea to antagonize Sonny under normal circumstances, but this is blatant stupidity. She gets that it’s half the fun; she sticks it to Ava whenever she can. But Ava doesn’t have the potential to blow her life apart and hurt the people she loves. Sonny can do that, and more.

Sonny gets to the hospital, and Kristina thanks him for coming. She tells him, some things she knows, and some she’s just guessing. He says she’s not in a courtroom; just tell him. She says, it started with Kiefer. The night he died, Alexis was taking her home from the hospital, and Kristina was out of it. She doesn’t remember anything, but Alexis swears it was an accident. Kristina believes her, but Kiefer’s family didn’t. They knew about his father, but he had an older sister, Kendra. Sonny says, the name sounds familiar, and Kristina says that’s the name of Alexis’s life coach. It turns out, they’re the same person. Neil and Julian had reason to believe Kendra poisoned Alexis. She gave Alexis a supplement laced with something. Sonny asks where Alexis is now, and Kristina says Kendra came to visit Alexis, and then Alexis checked out of the hospital. No one has seen either one of them since. She tracked Alexis down with a locator app, but the signal’s not moving. Neil and Julian went to find her. Sonny says he’ll call his people, but she says, the police already know. She thinks she knows why Kendra did it, and Sonny says, to avenge her brother. Kristina says she thinks she knows why Kendra suddenly decided to do this now, and thinks it’s because of her.

Julian yells to Lucas to wake up. He’s not supposed to be in the car. Julian gets a huge tree branch, and tries to bust a window open, but it just bounces off the safety glass.

Jordan asks Chase what they have so far. He says, so far, it’s sketchy. Apparently Kendra was preparing to run Alexis down when a second vehicle collided with her. Julian comes running up, and says his son is trapped in the other car, and they have to get him out.

Sonny asks how this is Kristina’s fault, and she says she lied in the Pledge she gave Shiloh. She said she was awake, and saw Alexis hit Kiefer on purpose. Shiloh hated her, and hated Sam even more. What better way to hurt them than hurt their mother. He probably reached out to Kendra, who then thought she had proof, and went to avenge her brother. Sonny asks what Kristina’s part is. That she lied about her mother? Kristina says, the lie set everything in motion. Sonny says Kristina is responsible for her own actions, like Shiloh and Kendra are responsible for theirs. She can regret the lie, but everything else was out of her control. Neil wheels Alexis in, and Kristina runs to hug her.

Alexis says she’s all right, and Sonny asks, what happened? What did Kendra do to her? Alexis says she thought she’d play detective, and followed Kendra to the cemetery, but it was a trap. Kendra knocked her out, and threw her in the car. She injected Alexis with something so she couldn’t move, then left her in the road, and started to back up. Kristina says Kendra was going to run Alexis over like what happened to Kiefer. Alexis says, but she couldn’t. Another car crashed into Kendra first, and she’s dead. Thank God, Neil and Julian managed to find her. Neil says, Kristina deserves the credit; she tracked Alexis on an app. He wants to get Alexis checked in, but Kristina asks if Kendra mentioned Shiloh or her Pledge. Alexis says Kendra was a very disturbed woman, but Kristina tells her, just say it. Alexis says, yes. Shiloh told Kendra about the Pledge, and told her Alexis ran over Kiefer on purpose. Kristina says she’s sorry, but Alexis says it’s not her fault. She’s not to blame. Shiloh manipulated Kendra, and Kendra targeted her. They’re responsible for their own actions. Kristina says that’s the same thing Sonny said, and Alexis says, for once, they agree. Sonny says, it’s a miracle. Alexis says, Kendra is gone, and Neil insists they get her checked in. He wants a CT scan and a full blood panel. Kristina says she’s going with them. She hugs Sonny, and says she loves him.

Curtis sees Sonny when he comes out of the elevator, and asks how Alexis is. Sonny says, it looks like she’ll be okay, and Curtis says he’ll let Jordan know; she’s at the crime scene. Sonny says, some Thanksgiving, but Curtis says they all have something to be thankful for. He’s thankful for his first anniversary. Sonny shakes his hand, and congratulates him, saying, time flies. Curtis says, it does, and adds that Sonny knows all about anniversaries. If Sonny doesn’t mind, he’d like to ask a question. It’s more like advice. Sonny says he’ll do his best, and Curtis asks how Sonny and Carly do it. How do they make it work so well?

Carly tells Jax, if Sonny finds out that Nikolas is alive, and they’ve been hiding him, he’s going to expose Jax. He doesn’t like Nikolas, and it would hurt Jax. Jax says, Nikolas is Spencer’s father. He thinks Sonny would refrain for Spencer’s sake, but Carly says he’s delusional. If Sonny could deport Jax, he’d do it in a heartbeat. And if he can avoid the blame, it will make his day. She gets that taking a risk is part of the fun, but if it falls apart, it won’t be fun for Josslyn. Josslyn needs him, and not on the phone or on SKYPE. She needs him every day, there, in Port Charles, and he needs to get along with Sonny. If Sonny deports Jax, Josslyn will hate him, but this time, it will be worse. It will tear Josslyn’s life and family apart. Don’t do that to Josslyn. Don’t do that to her.

Sasha asks Willow, aside from this, does she feel good about her and Chase? Willow says she does. She’s so lucky to have him in her life. He’s so solid and thoughtful; an all-around great guy. They love each other, and just moved in together. Things are better than Willow could have imagined possible. Sasha says, then talk to him, but Willow says, they’re good, and it’s so soon to get this real. She doesn’t want to mess it up. Sasha says she’s talking to the queen of mess. She can’t believe Michael stood by her. She constantly has to remind herself that she deserves the second chance he’s giving her. She’s glad for herself, and Willow. If Willow is pregnant, the father is a good man who loves her, and will love their child. They’ll make it work, because that’s what parents do, but the first step is finding out. She tells Willow, just get it done, and Willow says, okay. Don’t go anywhere.

At the hospital, Julian tells Chase that they won’t let him see his son. Chase says Lucas is in surgery, and Brad is in the trauma center. He’s going to question Brad as soon as he’s able. Julian asks why Lucas is in surgery. What’s wrong? Chase says Julian saw the car. The driver’s side sustained the most damage.

Willow comes back out, and Sasha says, well? What do the results say?

Jax tells Carly that she’s right. Maybe it wasn’t so smart to ask for a slice of pie. She thanks him, and he says he really wanted to see Josslyn. She tells him, text next time, and make sure Josslyn is there. he ask if he’s welcome there when she’s home, and Carly says he’s welcome anytime, for Josslyn’s sake. And for Josslyn’s sake, wrap things up with Nikolas. Turn him in or out, but get it over with.

Sonny is flattered that Curtis thinks he has it figured out, but after all these years, he and Carly are still a work in progress. Curtis says they’re still together; they’re doing something right. Sonny says they always have each other’s backs, and Curtis says he and Jordan have that covered. Sonny says it’s important to communicate. Hear each other; not just what’s said, but what isn’t said. Curtis says, secrets, and Sonny says, not good. He doesn’t care what it is or who you’re trying to protect. It always creates distance.

Alexis tells Neil that she thought they were done with hospitals. Kristina is sorry this happened, and Alexis says, they’re done with this. She’s okay, and they’re all together. That’s all that matters. Kristina thinks they’re due a vacation, as long as it’s not a road trip. Alexis asks, what about the car that saved her life? She wants to know who was in it, and are they okay?

Chase tells Julian to have a seat, but Julian says he’s waiting for word on his son. Chase says, and his son’s husband, but Julian says, Brad sounds like he’s in better shape. He wants word the surgery went okay. Chase says the one upside is, it’s the only thing that saved Alexis. Don’t worry. He’ll get to the bottom of all this.

Jordan walks around the crash site. An officer tells her that the casualties from the second car are at GH, and she says, from the angle of impact, they were going fast. He asks what she’s looking for, and she says she’s wondering why she’s not finding anything.

Tomorrow (hopefully), Willow tells Sasha if she’s pregnant, Carly asks what the hell happened, Ava asks how Nikolas can be there if he’s dead, and Jax wonders what Valentin did with Hayden.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

We backtrack a wee bit, where Tamra told Kelly to perform a sexual act money, because that’s what Kelly does best. Way to be a Christian, Tamra! Kelly tells Gina that she went low because she wanted Tamra to stop talking. We flash back to Shannon telling Kelly that Tamra was just repeating something she’d heard. Gina tells Kelly that Tamra has had her back. Kelly agrees that Tamra does, but then she does underhanded  things to put stuff out there. In Kelly’s interview, she says her heart is broken. She thought Tamra was her friend, and now Tamra has become her foe. Where am I? King Arthur’s court? Braunwyn thinks if Kelly sits down with Tamra, one on one, they can talk it out, but right now Kelly should let it sit. Tamra comes back, and Kelly says she owes Tamra an apology, but she felt pushed.  She hugs Tamra, and Tamra says she doesn’t know what she did. She was sticking up for Kelly, and felt betrayed. Kelly says she wanted Tamra to shut up. Tamra says when she was sitting with Shannon, she’d told Shannon that the others had been bashing Kelly. Shannon and Vicki repeated things they’d heard, and it made sound like Kelly was being abusive. We flash back to the tea party where Shannon suggested Kelly had been in a bar fight, and Vicki saying she’d heard Kelly pushed her mom down the stairs. Tamra says, then Braunwyn said Kelly and Brian had a fight in front of his son. She walked away from the conversation; she said it was bullsh*t. Kelly wishes Tamra could understand her point-of-view, and Tamra says she wishes Kelly had called and asked her about it. In Tamra’s interview, she says, Kelly doesn’t understand the damage that was done. It’s a stress on her household, and it’s draining her bank account. It’s going to affect them for years. Ever on top of things, Vicki asks, what’s going on? and if they’re going to Key West.

Braunwyn and Vicki decide to drive. In Shannon’s interview, she says Kelly needs to stay away from her. it’s insane. Braunwyn tells Kelly, that was good.

Vicki drives one car, with Shannon, Tamra, and Braunwyn drives the other, with Emily, Gina, and Kelly. Tamra passes out cat sunglasses – the white framed, black lensed ones like Barbie wears – and scarves to her car. In her interview, she says, convertibles aren’t practical, and they don’t want tragic hair. Emily looks at them, and says, it’s the geriatric version of Thelma and Louise. They all say, bye, Miami, and head out.

Vicki tells the others that the woman Kelly fought in the bar has been sending her pictures. In Vicki’s interview, she says she saw Instagram photos of the woman’s hand, and was mortified. In Tamra’s interview, she says, nothing good is going to come out of trying to make another person look bad. Stop digging for dirt. Kelly gets car sick, and Braunwyn has to pull over. It starts to rain, and she puts the top up. I recognize the road they’re on, having been to Miami several times.

Braunwyn gets to their waterfront villa first, and they’re met with welcome (I think) piña coladas, and the manager gives them a tour. Vicki pulls up, and they’re told the other ladies have arrived. Braunwyn tells them that they’re going to a drag club tonight. In her interview, she says she’s always wanted to go to a drag show in Key West. Her drag name would be Bosoms Galore, and they all know what her talent would be. Everyone gets changed for the evening. Tamra asks if the villas connect, and the manager says their friends are next door. Tamra wonders if the others are still their friends.

Gina and Emily do their makeup. Emily says Vicki started talking to the chick Kelly was fighting with. Gina wonders why, since she thought they were cool. They need to tell Vicki that’s effed up, and they should tell Kelly. Emily says Kelly will tell them to go screw themselves. Gina says Kelly is going to murder Vicki.

Kelly calls Jolie, and tells her that Vicki is there. Jolie says she hates Vicki, and Kelly says she does too, but she has to be nice to her. In Kelly’s interview, she says she wants to make it easy and be the better person. She doesn’t want to be enemies or friends with Vicki; she just wants to be neutral. Vicki asks Shannon if she’s sure she wants to do the drag thing, and suggests they put on face masks and stay home. Shannon says she doesn’t want to miss anything. In Shannon’s interview, she says, Kelly crossed the line. She has no interest in connecting with her. Let Kelly have her fun, and she’ll have her own. Vicki says she’s tired, and she hates being the oldest.

Kelly, Gina, and Emily wait. In Kelly’s interview, she says the most annoying thing is waiting for Tamra, Shannon, and Vicki to get themselves together. It’s not that hard. Gina suggests they leave, and let the others catch up, and they get in a taxi. In her interview, Gina says she’s expecting a lot of sequins, a lot of makeup, and big hair. Basically, everything she sees at home on Long Island. Mama is coming home. At Drag Asylum, the first thing we see is a chandelier of heels, and I’m in. It looks like a blast. They watch the shows and make it rain.

On the way there, Shannon asks where the parade is. Vicki says, that’s New Orleans, but Shannon says David said there was a parade when he was there, and she needs to know where. In Shannon’s interview, Shannon says, when David called, he told her there were parades in the streets, and clearly this was a crazy town. Tamra asks if it’s bothering Shannon. In her interview, Shannon says she doesn’t need to emerge saying she conquered Key West. Her divorce is final, she’s happier than she’s been, and she’s thankful it’s over. Tamra tells Shannon that she’s a divorced rich bitch now, and Shannon says she’s going to get there on her own.

The MC asks, who’s celebrating something? and the women offer up Gina, who just got out of jail and divorced. Gina says it’s rock bottom, and all up from there. The MC tells everyone to make some noise. In Gina’s interview, she says if she was a drag queen, she’d be something fancy and over-the-top, like Georgina la Croix. In Vicki’s interview, she says she doesn’t understand it; boys dressing like girls, girls dressing like boys. Sorry, drags. What? In Shannon’s interview, she says, the vibe seems to be okay between Kelly and Vicki. Let’s learn from this. If you sit in a line, you don’t have to sit next to people you don’t want to.

They move on to a bar with a pool table. Gina talks to Tamra about Vicki being in communication with that girl. Kelly asks Vicki about long term insurance. In her interview, Kelly says she wants to come at Vicki with love and kindness, instead of being combative.  Shannon approaches Tamra, and says she doesn’t think it’s cool that Vicki is talking to that girl. Gina thinks Kelly should know about it. In Gina’s interview, she says you can’t know information like that and not say anything. It’s like how if you know a crime is about to be committed, and don’t say anything, you’re guilty too. Not quite, but I get the point she’s trying to make. Gina says she’s going to tell Vicki that she loves her, but it’s bad for her to be talking to that girl. Tamra says, just tell her, and Gina does, and Vicki asks why Gina is getting involved. Shannon decides to enlighten Kelly about what’s going on behind her back. In Shannon’s interview, she says this is going to emerge into a fight. She wants to let Kelly know now, before a bomb turns into a nuke. She’s going to be the a-hole. She tells Kelly what’s going on, and in Kelly’s interview, she says, this has nothing to do with Vicki. Get a life.

Vicki says Gina and Emily aren’t involved, and Emily suggests Vicki and Kelly take it outside if they’re going to flip out. Braunwyn says, it’s nobody’s business. In Vicki’s interview, she says she’s physically scared of Kelly. Kelly has a track record. She’s heard – she doesn’t want to repeat rumors – that Kelly’s had altercations with a lot of people. Kelly says Vicki hurts people, and Vicki says she’s the one who got hurt. Kelly says she’s getting sued. She’s a con woman. Kelly says, it’s all in public domain, and proof that Vicki is a bad woman. Vicki tells Kelly not to get involved in her business. In Vicki’s interview, she says, it’s all over the news that she committed fraud, but she didn’t. The insurance company went out of business. She couldn’t pay a claim, and an 82-year-old’s daughter is suing her. Kelly asks why Vicki wants to hurt her, and Vicki says she doesn’t. They trade insults, and Vicki calls Kelly a slut. Tamra says, that is not okay. In Gina’s interview, she says Vicki wants to call out someone for being single and living their life. She doesn’t care how many trains are coming to town. Vicki starts screeching – one of the things I hate most about this show – that she never conned anyone. She was conned. Kelly calls Vicki a liar. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says she imagined laying out, and maybe flirting with the cabana boy, but she probably should have known better. Vicki decides to leave.

Walking with Vicki and Tamra, Shannon says, that was a disaster, and she started it. Inside, Kelly admits to being a bitch. She tried being cool, but.. Gina says she effed up, and Kelly starts to cry. She wonders why she’s being attacked. It’s making matters worse. Emily says she’s done with Vicki, and Gina says it’s a horrifying violation of their truce. Tamra asks what Gina’s motivation was, and Shannon says it was her. She volunteered because she wanted to say it in a nicer way. Vicki tells them not to put Kelly near her, and Tamra asks what happened at the end. Vicki says she called Kelly a slut, but Kelly called her a con woman. She’s not a con woman – she starts the screeching – or a liar  She’s never conned anyone. She was conned. In Tamra’s interview, she says she hasn’t seen Vicki scream like this since the Brooks days. We flash back to Vicki screeching at the Bunko party and the ski trip.

Gina thinks it’s going to be a hat day, and asks Emily if they’re going on the tiki thing. It’s a floating bar, and Emily is hoping they have more than one, or she might have to jump ship. Shannon uses some kind of electric neti-pot, and it’s disgusting. Tamra watches her, then says she’ll never be able to erase that from her head. Neither will I, but it was on my TV. Tamra could have walked out of the room at any time.

Kelly says it’s copacetic when it’s just the four of them. Who calls someone a slut at forty years old? In  her interview, Kelly wonders why they’re after her, and Emily says Vicki thought she had the situation under wraps. She had no idea Tamra told them. Shannon just said something because they brought it up. If they hadn’t said it was wrong, Shannon never would have told Kelly. Kelly says, calculated.

Tamra tells Vicki the tiki bar looks like fun, and asks if VIcki can stay on a different side than Kelly. Vicki says she has no desire to hurt Kelly, and we flash back to Vicki crying and apologizing to Kelly. Tamra tells her, stay away from Kelly. Let it resolve itself. Vicki asks if she should apologize, but Tamra thinks says, let it run it’s course. Let it be.

They get in jeep, and a driver takes them to the floating tiki bars. Shannon, Gina, and Vicki get on one, and Tamra (in a surprise move), Emily, Braunwyn, and Kelly get in another. The Squeaky Tiki, driven by Gary, who tells them that they’ll be going to a sandbar. The water will be knee to waist deep. They mix their own drinks, which seems more dangerous than being on a floating bar. Vicki asks what they do to whoop it up there, and the bartender is clueless as to what whoop it up is. He’s never heard of it. In Gina’s interview, she says she’s put in the worst water situation every trip. We flash back to Gina not getting along with water. She says, there are so many good bars that are perfectly adequate on land. Vicki talks about having a destination wedding

Kelly asks, what’s wrong with Vicki? Kelly is suing her; she has all the evidence. Tamra says she’ll apologize, and they stop for a swim break. Braunwyn thinks she was stung by a jellyfish, and yells for them to get out of the water. Shannon says it’s not a jellyfish, but Kelly is already pushing Emily up the ladder, and back on the boat.

Tamra tells Vicki that she talked to Kelly, and told her that Vicki would say she’s sorry  Kelly asks why everyone is talking about her. She just wants them to stop. Kelly says, loud enough for all to hear, Michael just wrote that he’s got a lot of dirt on Vicki, and her engagement is going to implode in about two seconds. Vicki says Kelly is a terrible person, and asks why Kelly can’t be happy for her. Kelly yells that she’s talking to Michael, and calls Vicki an effing pig, and causing everyone to go, whoa. In Emily’s interview, she says it’s mean to attack Vicki’s looks. Attack her character. It sucks. Vicki gives Kelly the finger, and says, eff you. In Gina’s interview, she says some people have no respect for other people on vacation who just want to have a good time. Play nice in the sandbox, bitches. Shannon apologizes for the drama on their way out.

Vicki asks if she looks like a pig. Tamra says, no, and Shannon tells her to stop it. They find a cake and champagne waiting in their villa, compliments of the hotel. The cake says, congratulations, Vicki. Tamra thinks they should sing, and they fumble through happy engagement to you. They toast, and Tamra suggests they let things die down. It was a perfect example of how Kelly can’t control her anger.

Kelly tells Braunwyn, she lost her cool. Braunwyn says she doesn’t have to fight this fight. She doesn’t have to get upset. Her character is going to come through. She’s a good friend.

Gina asks Emily what they’re going to do, and Emily says they should go to dinner, but it can’t be a group dinner. Kelly and Vicki can’t be in the  same room. Gina thinks no matter what group they go with, it will cause more problems. Gina calls Tamra, and say she’s going out with Braunwyn, Emily, and Kelly, and then she’ll see them.

The four go to a restaurant, and Braunwyn orders loaded fries. Emily says, make it two. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says she’s sick of talking about feelings and each other. She wants to drown her sorrows in processed cheese. Braunwyn says she’s a nice person, and gives lot of leeway, and Kelly says she doesn’t. She tried to be on her best behavior. Her plan was to not engage. Emily says she gets a C minus. Kelly says she goes low, and Braunwyn asks, why? Kelly thinks it’s when she gets ganged up on. She had a lot of cousins, and they fought to win. She has an anger problem. Emily says Kelly gets wounded, and feels vulnerable. Kelly says she learned to be vindictive from her family. She thought going low was winning. In her interview, Kelly remembers getting a present for a friend, and her mom getting in a fight with the lady behind the counter when she didn’t wrap it right. We’re products of our environment. Kelly says she needs to be stronger. She feels stupid, taking the bait. Emily says she was hurt, and Kelly says, at least she can recognize her shortcomings. Braunwyn says they’re all a work in progress, and growing.

Gina joins the Tres Blonde Amigas at another restaurant. In Gina’s interview, she says she likes hanging out with them because they make her laugh. Their antics are always fun and adventurous. Vicki asks if Gina would ever move back to New York, and Gina says no, but her heart is there. She moved across the country for Matt. Tamra asks how that worked for her, but thinks Gina should give it another chance. Shannon says, but… and Tamra says she’s seen pictures of Gina with him, and there’s a light in her eyes. Gina says she knows something happened, and if she committed to him again, he’d never cheat again. Shannon’s head whips around, and Gina says, he gets it. Tamra asks why Shannon is rolling her eyes – clearly not being able to read body language. Shannon says she didn’t. In Shannon’s interview, she says she knows the devastation she went through when she thought she and David were back together, and they weren’t. That’s when she spiraled, with her weight and emotions. She doesn’t want Gina to go through the same pain. Shannon says she knew that too, but David still checked out. Gina says she doesn’t think Matt will check out. Vicki says he won’t if it’s a happy home, and Shannon says she takes offense to that. She was willing to do whatever, and it wasn’t that she didn’t have a happy home. Vicki says she checked out with Don. Gina says she always gives in to Matt, and Shannon tells her, wait it out. If he’s serious, he’ll make a move back home. Vicki says, time will tell. Her mom told her that she’d always end up where she’s supposed to end up. Tamra says, as soon as the arguments affect the children, it’s time to go. Shannon says, the bottom line is, if you’re fighting at home, they know what’s happening. Their kids wrote texts to them saying don’t think they’re not screwed up because they heard them screaming at each other, and Sophie is writing a book about a kid’s perspective on divorce. In Shannon’s interview, she thinks her kids have witnessed things they shouldn’t have – we flash back to the kids basically pointing out how unhappy things are – and they’ll probably knock on her door one day, telling her how screwed up they are. She’s been trying to give them a normal life without all the chaos. Shannon announces that it’s 11 pm. They haven’t been out until then since they got to Florida. They all make toasts, and screech together.

At the villa, Kelly suggests she and Braunwyn put on their PJs, and watch a movie.

Tamra wants dance at the bar. They order tequila shots, and Vicki says, let’s whoop it up, into the bar microphone. Shannon says her biggest goal tonight is to keep the smile on her face, and keep having fun.

Emily goes to bed.

Vicki drinks directly from the beer tap at the bar.

The other girls go to bed.

Back at the villa, Tamra does a cannonball into the pool. In her interview, Shannon rates the trip a good nine to ten. In her villa. They all jump around in the pool, until they hear security coming, and they jet. Tamra scrambles around for her clothes, and some random dude runs through the scene. On the walkway, Vicki slips in her heels, and the mood suddenly changes when they realize she’s really hurt. In Tamra’s interview, she says Vicki is the clumsiest person she’s ever met. We flash back, and it looks like Tamra is right. I’d forgotten that Vicki ended up in the hospital a couple of times on vacation too. Shannon says they need to go to the hospital, and the ambulance comes. Tamra and Shannon quickly get dressed, and come along.

In the ambulance, Vicki screeches.

Next time, a shark, Vicki is just as clumsy on crutches, and Kelly and Emily have a consult with a guru or something.

🎄 And So It Begins…

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting will be on NBC at 7 pm, Wednesday, December 4th. Another thing you’re better off watching on TV. It’s too crowded to breathe there. In the meantime, enjoy some lights of a Christmas season gone by.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

A mini-cap of GH’s Thanksgiving Day episode.

Mike went to Sonny’s for Thanksgiving. When Mike asked if Sonny had a good relationship with his old man, Sonny knew it wasn’t going to be a good day. He rolled with it, saying he and his father did have a good relationship, and Mike told him that you have to tell people how you feel before they’re gone. Life is too short for regrets. No doubt there was collective sobbing from viewers everywhere. It’s at the point where, when I see Mike is going to be in an episode, I figure I might as well just start crying.

Franco met with Andre, who said the memory mapping had been streamlined since he’d first worked on it, and he’d do everything he could to mitigate the risks. Franco told Elizabeth that he was having the procedure done tomorrow. Which will probably be Tuesday in our world.

Finn kept trying to call Hayden, but his calls all went to voicemail. When he checked Violet’s backpack for her doll, he found the letter Hayden left. She wrote that she was in the kind of trouble that could put Violet in danger, and she knew Violet would be safe with him. She asked him, please don’t come after her, take care of Violet, and make sure Violet knows, no matter what, her mother loves her. Finn showed the letter to Anna, and said that when Hayden is backed into a corner, she always runs. Anna told him that Hayden must be in serious trouble if she was leaving Violet. Anna didn’t think Hayden would have left Violet with Finn if there had been an alternative.

Kendra came by to see Alexis, who said she’d been given the all-clear from the hospital, but she was going to wait before going back to working with Kendra. Alexis also said she spoke quite a bit of Italian, and could order the supplement herself. Kendra wondered why Neil had given her the cold shoulder, and asked if Alexis was getting ready to fire her. Alexis said, no; she was just being vigilant. Later, Neil discovered that Alexis had checked herself out of the hospital. He told Julian that he’d accused Kendra of poisoning Alexis.

Michael picked up Wiley to go to the Quartermaine’s for Thanksgiving dinner. Brad begged off, saying he was coming down with something and didn’t want to get anyone sick. Michael didn’t believe it, and suggested it was because of Nelle, since his family knew about Brad going to her parole hearing. While this was going on, Julian sat outside in his car, obviously up to no good. After he saw Michael leave with Wiley, he cut the brakes to Brad’s car.

Lucas told Elizabeth about Brook Lynn being back, and said Elizabeth looked like she’d rather have a root canal than hear that news. Lucas decided he’d rather be home on Thanksgiving, and Elizabeth got his shift covered. Lucas went home, and told Brad that he was sick of fighting. He wanted to know what was going on, and what Brad was hiding.

Peter and Maxie went to Anna’s for Thanksgiving, where they saw Andre. Andre told them about Franco deciding to go through with the procedure. He said Franco realized that no matter how many memories of Drew’s he had, he wasn’t Drew; and there were people who loved Franco and missed him.

Sonny and Mike watched football, and it was all good until Mike wanted to hold Donna. Both Sonny and Carly overreacted, and Mike got the message they didn’t want him holding the baby. He ended up pushing Sonny into the table of appetizers. Mike was persuaded to take a nap upstairs, and Sonny asked Carly to call Turning Woods, saying his dad wasn’t safe at the house.

Kendra went to Kiefer’s grave with a gorgeous autumn flower arrangement. Alexis saw her, and waited for her to leave. When Kendra was gone, Alexis went over to look at the headstone. But Kendra wasn’t really gone, and whacked Alexis in the head with a rock, knocking her out.

On Monday, Lulu tells Brook that Dante abandoned her, Julian wonders why Kendra would target Alexis, and Sonny says he’s not going to be that guy. And maybe we’ll find out about the Quartermaine pizza. I’m a little miffed that they didn’t include that in the Thanksgiving episode.

😘 Last But Not Least…

Hoping that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, full of family, friends, and food. It would be remiss of me not to say how thankful I am for my readers and followers. No Dead this week, only Christmas movies, but some good ones. Saturday night is Elf, and on Sunday, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Christmas with the Kranks. Christmas Vacation holds a spot in my heart because my old acting teacher, William Hickey, plays the part of Uncle Lewis. And we all see where I am today. Just kidding. He was a phenomenal teacher.

🏁 Double Duty…

My thanks, as well as the official start of the season. And so it begins…

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Chase and Willow go to Anna’s place, and Finn introduces Violet to Uncle Chase. Chase likes the sound of uncle, and asks if Violet has any other uncles, but she says, not yet. He introduces Willow, who tells Violet that Chase is a keeper. He’s been known to let kids have ice cream for dinner. Chase brought her a present – an Aquamat. No one knows what it is, including me, but Chase says Willow helped him pick it out. Violet goes to set it up with Chase and Willow, and Anna says she’s never seen Finn so happy. He says he is, and thanks her for being great about this. She says it’s worth it for his smile. (FYI – I looked up the Aquamat, and it’s pretty cool. You fill it with water and “draw” on it. The water evokes the colors, and when the water is gone, so are the drawings. Magic!)

At The Floating Rib, Michael invites Sasha to Thanksgiving dinner at the Quartermaine mansion. She doesn’t want to put anyone in an awkward position, and he says he can’t promise there won’t be a knockdown, all-out fight, or two, but he can promise those fights will have nothing to do with her. She says she could do with a double-dose of family. She doesn’t have one anymore; real or fake. He tells her, consider herself an honorary member of his two, and they kiss. Obrecht comes in, and Michael asks if they can help her. She sits, and says they already have. Maxie and Nina have accepted her back into the family, and back into James’s life. For that she’ll buy them a drink. Sasha wants to put it behind her, but Obrecht says, that’s the point. It’s over. Michael says, actually, it’s not over. Not yet.

Brad comes out of the elevator at the hospital, and sees Lucas at the reception desk. He says he just clocked out. Any chance Lucas can come home with him? Lucas says his shift isn’t over. Brad says he’s been working so much. It’s been days since they’ve had dinner as a family with Wiley. Lucas says it’s obvious Brad is hiding something from him, covering with lies and half-truths. Now he wants Lucas to sit down to a nice family dinner? No. Brad says, that’s it? Just no? Lucas says, pretty much. Until Brad gets the courage to tell him what’s going on, he’s going to spend time with Wiley on his own. Brad says, what about tomorrow? Can they at least spend Thanksgiving together?

Valentin says, his father amended his will and Helena hid the document in the portrait. Martin takes it Valentin didn’t know, and Valentin asks if Martin has any more specifics. Martin says Jax and Laura seem to believe that the codicil takes the estate away from Valentin.

The guy who jumped Hayden at the pier puts his hand over Hayden’s mouth, and she struggles with him. Nikolas shows up.

Neil tells Alexis, as requested, he’s having the lab analyze the mystery pill Kendra tried to force feed her. Alexis is anxious for the lab to clear it up. She honestly can’t believe Kendra would give her something that harmful. Kendra won’t even let her eat wheat. She would think thallium was out of the question.

Chase confesses, he was hoping to see Finn at a tea party, and Finn says he should have gotten there earlier. Chase says he’s proud of Finn. It’s like he’s been waiting to be a father his whole life. Finn says it’s almost like he has. It feels really good. Willow tells Anna, Violet is adorable, and Anna says, Violet loves her father too; no surprise there. She wishes Hayden hadn’t kept Finn from knowing for so long, but it is what it is. Willow steps away, and takes a breath. Chase asks if she’s okay, and she says she’ll be fine. She doesn’t know what happened. He says it’s his fault. He didn’t think it through. What happened with Finn and Violet must remind her of what happened with Wiley.

Brad tells Lucas, it’s a family holiday, and he arranged to take it off months ago. Lucas says he volunteered to cover the ER, and Brad says he knows Lucas is angry, but it’s Thanksgiving. They should be together with Wiley. They need to find a way to get past this hiccup in their marriage. Lucas says Brad needs to come clean. If Brad tells Lucas what he’s hiding, he’ll find someone to cover the shift. On three. One… two… He didn’t think so. Brad says because of a stupid accusation, but Lucas says, it’s more than that, and Brad knows it.

Obrecht hopes Sasha and Michael aren’t trying to undermine her hard won serenity. Sasha says Michael was just giving her a heads up about Curtis’s investigation. Obrecht says, what investigation? It’s over. Sasha confessed, and Obrecht is paying for cocktails. What more could there be? Michael says there was still a sample on file at GH, and Curtis had it retested. Sasha says it proved again that she and Nina are mother and daughter. Michael says he tried to convince Curtis to drop it, but he said his reputation as a PI is at stake. He’s still looking for answers, and eventually he’s going to realize Obrecht was involved.

Martin tells Valentin that he’s sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Valentin wonders why his father changed his will, unless he was pressured by Helena. Helena hated him. Martin says Valentin must have suspected, or he wouldn’t have sent Martin to Jax with that story. Valentin says he needs to get his hands on the painting, and Martin agrees. If Jax finds it first, Valentin will lose his island, his home, his horses, his business holdings, and even the nicely tailored shirt on his back. Valentin says he has no intention of losing anything. This makes their project all the more important.

Nikolas fights with Hayden’s attacker, and dude runs off. Hayden asks if he’s all right, and he says she was the one who was almost carried off; is she hurt? She says, no, and he asks if she saw who it was. Does she know what they wanted?

Martin asks how Ava acquired the portrait if Valentin threw it out, but Valentin doesn’t have a clue. Martin asks if Valentin is going to reach out to her, or let him, but Valentin tells Martin that Ava said Valentin would never put his hands on the portrait. Martin says, another person less than fond of Valentin. Valentin says Ava suffered a psychotic breakdown, but that’s not the cause of her animosity toward him. She has a perfectly sane reason to hate him. What bothers him is that she imagined she saw Nikolas.

Hayden tells Nikolas, he just came out of nowhere. He didn’t take her purse; she thinks he wanted to kill her. Nikolas says he was afraid something like this would happen. That’s why he came back. He started to worry that Valentin would make good on his threat. She says it’s nice to know he still cares. She asks if he thinks Valentin sent the guy, and he says, she doesn’t think it’s a coincidence, does she? The day after Valentin tries to coerce her into working for him? She wonders what she should do, and he tells her that she should leave now. He’ll help her. She says, what about Violet?

Willow tells Chase that she’s fine. She gets to be a part of Wiley’s life, which is more than she dreamed possible. She’s beyond  thrilled that Finn has a daughter, and Chase has a niece. How lucky can a little girl get? He asks if she wants to get out of there, and she says, only because she’s starving. Chase tells Finn and Anna that they’re going to let them have Violet all to themselves. Anna is surprised they’re leaving already, and thanks them for coming. Chase congratulates Daddy Finn, and Willow tells Violet that she loved meeting her, and can’t wait to see her again. Chase says, he was thinking maybe Violet wants to be an honorary officer of the law; Sergeant Violet. He gives her a badge, and asks, or does she want to be a detective, or a spy like Anna? Violet says she wants to be a doctor like her daddy.

Brook Lynn shows up at the hospital, and says, paging Dr. Lucas Jones, heartthrob of Port Charles High. He says, Brook Lynn, and she says, in the flesh. They hug, and he says she looks fantastic. He keeps checking the music charts for her. She says she’ll get there; her career is on pause. She’s visiting the family, but Olivia is still frosty with her for trying to break up Dante and Lulu a million years ago. He says he tries to stay away from the family drama, and asks how long she’s staying.

Obrecht says Curtis should mind his own business. Her thank you cocktails might have been premature. She tells them to buy their own drinks, and jets. Sasha tells Michael, she almost feels sorry for Obrecht. Almost. Michael says Obrecht would bake Hansel and Gretel into a pie if she could. Sasha says when Obrecht realized they had the same goal – namely Nina’s happiness – she literally became Sasha’s partner in crime. Michael says he’s curious. Sasha said the sample came from Valentin. Where did Valentin get them?

He says they couldn’t have come from Nina, or it would have been an exact match. Sasha says she has no idea where Valentin got them; she just followed instructions. Chase and Willow approach their table, and Michael says they’ll talk later. Chase asks if he and Willow can join them, or is this a big date? Michael tells them to sit, and says he’ll get the drinks. Chase says he’ll go with Michael, and Willow says just a club soda for her. Sasha says, if she’s hungry, they ordered way too much food. Dive in. Willow says she’s not hungry anymore, and Sasha asks if she’s okay. Willow says, just queasy. She’s going to wash her hands. She loves playing with the kids, Wiley and Chase’s new niece Violet, but kids are geniuses at picking up germs.

Obrecht sees Brad in the alley behind the Rib. He asks why she’s still alive. She says they made an agreement, but Brad says she broke it when she told Lucas that he had a bigger secret than the lab test.

Alexis tells Neil, maybe Finn was right, and it’s a disgruntled client, or the victim of one who walked. Neil says, anyone but Kendra? She tells him, say he’s right. That means she rolled out the red carpet for someone who wanted her dead. She wonders what that says about her. That she’s gullible? Clueless? Maybe stupid? He says she’s blaming the victim, and she should know better.

Finn asks what Anna is making for dinner, and she says she has ice cream. He thinks there are other courses they need to worry about, and she says she did stock the pantry with anything she thought a child would like. She has organic tater tots, and Finn asks if he has to share them with Violet. Anna says he can have anything he wants. He thanks her for accepting Violet into their lives, and she says she’s happy to be part of his journey through fatherhood. He says it looks like one of those ancient maps that says, beyond this point, there might be dragons. She says there’s nowhere else she’d rather be, and he asks how he got so lucky. She says she asks herself that all the time; how did he get so lucky? He kisses her, and Violet sings, Daddy and Anna sitting in a tree – K-I-S-S-I-N-G.

Valentin tells Martin, if the codicil is real, than Spencer stands to inherit everything. He would expect Laura to be involved, but not Jax and Hayden. Martin says, the infamous daughter of Raymond Berlin, and Valentin asks if he knows her. Martin says she reminds him of someone in another life altogether. (BA-DUM-CHH! Another nod to All My Children.) Valentin says they’ll regret it. The important thing is he stands to lose his inheritance to a teenager; a spoiled prince, fixated on the notion that Valentin murdered his father. Martin says, did he? and reminds Valentin of attorney/client privilege.

Nikolas says he remembers how Hayden cared for Spencer. She says she still does, and he says she must be a wonderful mother. Taking Violet with her will put Violet at risk. Anna and Finn will keep her safe, and right now, it’s the best place for her. Hayden says she can’t just leave Violet, and he asks if she thinks he wanted to leave Spencer. He wants to let his son know he’s alive, but he can’t put Spencer in danger. They knew what they were getting into had risks. She says, leaving her child… and he says he knows how hard it is. It’s been years for him. For her, it might just take weeks. She says she can’t leave Violet. Nikolas says he can’t tell her what to do – he never could – but knowing Spencer is safe is the one thing that makes it bearable. They sacrifice for their kids, even if it means removing themselves from their world. It’s the best way to protect Violet. Give up the joy of being with her right now.

Alexis asks if Neil didn’t fire her as a patient. He says, which time? and she says, touché. He says, patients usually deflect to avoid responsibility. She wants to shoulder it. She says she’s done it before; let someone in her life, no questions asked. It appears she may have done it again.

In the ladies room, Willow pats water on her neck. Sasha comes in, and asks if she’s okay. She was getting worried. Willow thanks her, and says she’s fine. Sasha checks the stall, and says they’re alone. So, club soda? Queasiness? Maybe it’s not her place, but is Willow…? Willow says, don’t say it out loud. She doesn’t know, but she’s late.

Chase tells Michael that they were with the kids all day; Willow is probably exhausted. They had a great time, but he can tell it took a lot out of her. Michael asks how Finn has taken to fatherhood, and Chase says, super well. He never thought of Finn as dad materiel, but he’s a changed man. Michael says, kids will do that to you.

Brad tells Obrecht that his husband is threatening to leave him. All he’s done is protect Lucas. Obrecht says, even after Brad tried to kill her? He says his husband is barely speaking to him. He loves Lucas and Wiley so much. He wants them to be closer, but he’s losing Lucas, and being pulled in different directions. He starts to cry.

Lucas tells Brook that he and Brad hit a rough patch. He loves Brad, but Brad’s not being honest about what he’s saying. Protect their family from what? Brad can’t tell him, but they’re supposed to be partners. Brook asks what he’s going to do, and he says bury himself in work. He’s on the schedule tomorrow. She says, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. He should be with family. He has to be with family.

Valentin tells Martin, when he and Nina are married, Charlotte will have the family she always wanted; what they’ve both wanted. Like Martin cares. He’s too close to lose now. Martin admires Valentin’s determination. Valentin says, if he tells Martin, money is no object, is he willing to step outside legal boundaries, into a grey area? Martin says Grey is his last name. What does Valentin have in mind? Valentin wants eyes on Spencer. He wants to know where is, and what he’s doing. Martin says, why? If the others find the codicil before Valentin does, what happens to the boy?

Hayden shows up at Anna’s, and Anna says she thought they had Violet until tomorrow. Hayden says they do, and tells Violet, the sleepover is still on. She just thought Violet might want her blanket and a few other things that she loves. Finn says, it’s nice of her, but Violet could have gone a night without them. Hayden says, she could have, but why should she? No one should have to go without the things they love. Violet shows Hayden her gift, and says she drew Hayden a picture. Finn tells Hayden that he understands what she’s feeling. She’s not there because Violet needed her things. She’s there because she really misses Violet.

Neil tells Alexis, he doesn’t see why she needed to fix her life in the first place. She says she wanted it back on track, and he says, it was on track. She was making progress, and even managed to trust herself to try and have fun at Drag Bingo. Alexis says, it’s good to try, and he asks why not trust herself now? She has beauty, brains, a sense of humor, and an endearing personality. She says, it’s been a rough week. She could use a boost. He says he hopes she realizes she can say those things to herself instead of hearing it from someone else.

Brook tells Lucas, Thanksgiving is the one holiday not fraught with impossible expectations. It’s just turkey, football, and gratitude. Despite his marital troubles, he can still care about his family. If not Brad, Wiley. He says, it’s not that simple, and she says look at her.

Obrecht asks what Brad is doing; stop blubbering this instant. Brad says Lucas can’t know; he’s going to lose Lucas. Obrecht doesn’t quite put her arms around him, and pats his shoulder. She says, pat, pat, pat. That’s enough consolation. Man up. He made his bed, he has to lie in it, and continue to lie. He has to be strong. They both must. It’s the only way to get through this. She walks away.

Michael tells Chase, when Nelle told him that she was pregnant, he was blindsided. The relationship was already toxic by then, but he loved the idea of being a father so much, he kept his eyes on the prize. He asks if Chase has ever thought about being a father.

Willow tells Sasha, she can’t be pregnant. They’ve been careful. Sasha asks how late she is, but Willow isn’t sure. She noticed a few days ago. She’s been so busy; she may have forgotten to take her pill a few times. Sasha says she has to tell Chase. They’re a serous couple, and need to talk about what they want for the future. Willow says what if she doesn’t know what she wants. Sasha says, then they’ll figure it out together. Just be honest with him.

Martin tells Valentin, when he said grey area, it was a euphemism for… How far to the dark side does he want to go? Valentin says he’s not killing the kid, if that’s what Martin is worried about. He has to admit it’s a fair question, but he wants his great nephew happy and healthy.

Hayden says she brought Violet’s favorite book; she likes a story at bedtime. Finn says he got Eloise for Violet, and Anna says she found Robin’s old books. Hayden says, sometimes Violet gets picky, so she brought a few. Finn says it looks like a whole library, and Hayden says she brought some extra toys and clothes, and detangler; be careful brushing Violet’s hair. Finn says Hayden is only a phone call away, but Hayden says she wanted to make sure Violet felt at home. She hopes it wasn’t presumptuous. Finn says, it’s perfect. She thanks him, and asks if she can have a moment to say goodnight. Anna says they have to finish making dinner anyway, and they go to the kitchen. Hayden goes to Violet, and asks what she’s working on. Violet says she’s making a drawing, and Hayden says she’s sorry to interrupt, but can she get a hug? She holds Violet.

Valentin tells Martin, if the day ever comes that Laura announces all his worldly possessions belong to Spencer, he needs leverage. She’s convinced he’s cold-blooded. He just needs her knowing that he knows where Spencer is at any given time. She won’t risk her grandson. Is Martin in? Martin says he’ll get eyes on Spencer right away. They clink glasses, Martin downs his drink, and leaves.

Alexis puts on some makeup, and Neil says, she looks better already. She says, it’s amazing what a little concealer, bronzer, and lip gloss can do. She was about to text Molly. He says he stopped by the lab, and she asks if he found out what Kendra was adamant about having her take. Cyanide? Hemlock? He says, gingko biloba.

Brook tells Lucas, if she can put herself out there, and try to mend fences, can’t he? He says he already got put on the schedule; he can’t back down. She says he needs to put aside the business of saving everyone else’s lives, and save his family instead.

On the phone, Brad leaves a message. He says he thought they might be too busy to answer since they got their medical license back. Congratulations. And happy Thanksgiving, in case he doesn’t get a chance to call tomorrow. I miss you, Britt.

Chase says Michael doesn’t shy away from tough questions. Michael says he didn’t mean to pry, but that’s what friends are for. Chase says, Willow definitely wants kids. As for him… Sasha and Willow come back, and Chase says they thought they’d lost them to better prospects. Willow says, there aren’t any. Chase wants to show them pictures of Violet, so they can marvel at the resemblance between Violet and her favorite uncle.

Valentin calls Hayden. She looks at the phone, and Violet asks, who is it? She says, nobody she wants to talk to. She wants to take a picture. Violet puts her arms around Hayden, and she snaps a photo. She says, perfect. Just like Violet. She wants to make sure Violet knows how much mommy loves her. All the way to the sky and back, a million times over, forever. Violet says she loves Hayden all that, plus one. Hayden says, daddy is a really good man. He’ll take good care of her. She wants Violet to remember, even when she’s not there, mommy loves her more than anything and everything. Never forget that. She tells Violet that she can draw now, and tries not to cry. She puts an envelope in Violet’s backpack (I think). Finn asks if everything is okay, and Hayden says she’s good. He says, about tomorrow. Would she mind picking Violet up in the afternoon? He’d like to spend the morning with her. She says, sure; that’s perfect. He promises with every ounce of his being that he’ll take care of Violet. She says she knows. She leaves, and cries on the porch.

On the pier, the guy comes back, and grabs Nikolas. Nikolas tells him, knock it off. The guy asks how he did, and Nikolas says, he was a great success. He terrified a woman half his size. Mission accomplished. The guy says it was Nikolas’s idea, and Nikolas says, it was necessary; not for fun. The guy says he did it for the money. Now how about his bonus? Nikolas shoves an envelope at him, and says, take it and go. The guy walks.

Next time, Kendra asks what Alexis isn’t telling her, Andre tells Franco it’s not too late to change his mind, and Julian says he’s been given no choice.

The guide shows GH as being a new show tomorrow, but if it is, I probably won’t be able to recap until Friday, if at all. I’ll at least post the highlights. On Friday, ABC will be airing football. The traditional program that accompanies the after-dinner coma.

🍹 A Quick Look…

At The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which I’m only peripherally watching. Marge has to sell her property because she settled a $12 million lawsuit for $300K. I couldn’t figure that one out, but I guess she has a lot of bills to pay. She and Joe #3 also own the property next door, and since she was whining about having to sell, I wondered why she didn’t just subdivide. Melissa and Joe #2 were investigating having another baby in vitro. Melissa felt it was now or never. Jackie had a birthday party for one of her kids, and I appreciated her viewpoint. She said all kids needed for a party was, friends, pizza, and cake. The priority was that the kids have fun. Ever the competitor, that wasn’t enough for Jennifer, who said in her interview, her party would win in a popularity contest, and Jackie’s party was just like a playdate at her house. Ugh. I also continue to mix up Jackie and Jennifer, who I think should switch names. Jackie felt Teresa was bullying her – a term which seems to have a pretty loose meaning on these shows – and Teresa said Jackie was bullying her because she’d said something Teresa didn’t like, which goes way past a loose definition. The women went to Jamaica, where Jennifer separated Jackie and Marge in a hotel room away from the rest of the group. Or as Marge described it – they were in the servants’ quarters, and the others were in a mansion. To be fair, we’re talking really nice servants’ quarters, but they had to hike to where everyone else was. Jennifer couldn’t see why there was a complaint, since she’s Jennifer. Marge made an off-hand remark about Teresa liking them over 21, that Teresa let pass, but no doubt we’ll go back to it until the Apocalypse. I’m starting to resent any Housewives going on these glorious trips that they waste by being petty and fighting. Melissa was happy they got through a dinner that they actually ate, but next time, the Marge pisses Teresa off, so I’m sure there will be fireworks. And not the kind in the sky.

🍜 It’s Still About the Pasta…

I actually never questioned what it was about, which was James being out-of-his-mind drunk.

🎬 Let the Holiday Viewing Commence…

I’m just going to say it. People are offended too easily these days. While I can agree with some points made in this article, it goes a bit too far to say the Siamese cats in Lady and the Tramp are drawn in stereotypically Asian fashion. They’re drawn like Siamese cats, and if that’s stereotypically Asian, blame the cats. Or God for making the cats. Where does it end?

🎆 From the Parade’s Mouth…

All you need to know. The best thing you need to know is, don’t have FOMO over not being there. I’ve gone twice, and you’re better off seeing it on TV. The second time wasn’t so bad. I worked in an office over the parade route, and they served bagels and mimosas. If you can snag one of those invites, go for it. For the regular parade goer, it’s a nightmare. I had to get there at 6 am, I froze my everything off, and I thought I would never get warm again. If that wasn’t enough, the balloons are scary hanging over your head, and you can see where they’ve been patched and stuff. They’re not as pretty as on TV. And you can see the obvious lip-syncing by the musical artists. Seriously. Stay where you’re comfy and warm, and can get a sandwich or go to  the bathroom.

🍗 Have a Happy Thanksgiving…

My film recommendation every year is the same – Henry Jaglom’s Eating. It has a dual storyline, the plot revolving around a birthday party for three women – one thirty, one forty, and one fifty – and a woman making a documentary about women and food at the same party. It’s a hidden gem and fabulous. Every woman should watch it, as well as all the men who would like to know women better.

November 21, 2018 – Spencer is Everywhere, Dallas Returns Home, New Jersey Does Oklahoma & Thanksgiving Wishes

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason comes to Sam’s place bearing doughnuts. Danny asks if he wants to watch the parade from the roof.

Cameron visits Josslyn, who needs help with place cards. They’re looking like not turkeys. He picks one up, and asks if this is supposed to be a turkey. She says that’s why she needs help. He says, first… and gives her a present.

Oscar meets Alexis at the MetroCourt. He hopes he’s not wrecking her Thanksgiving. She says she doesn’t cook, she caters. It’s going to be simple, since Jordan and Curtis’s wedding is happening. He says he’s closing Charlie’s after the breakfast shift, so people can go home to their families. She says he has one too. Spending time with them might do him some good.

Kristina is at Charlie’s bar, taking notes from a book. Sonny brings a press pass for the parade. She’s surprised he’s going, but he says, when Avery says go, we go. He asks her to come with them. Laura comes in and sees not-Doc. She says they could have done this at home, but he says he didn’t want to intrude on her holiday, and it’s easier to talk without Spencer being around. She says he’s at the parade. Not-Doc says she wanted to see him; he’s here. What is this about? She takes something out of an envelope.

At Windemere, Valentin hears the fireplace crackle. He goes into the living room, and Spencer hopes he doesn’t mind; it’s drafty at Windemere. Although the cold doesn’t bother him much anymore. The fires of vengeance keep him warm. That kid cracks me up.

Nina tells Sasha that after the wedding, they can pick up Charlotte and go to New York for The Nutcracker. She doesn’t want to overstep, but she’s excited about spending the holiday with her girls. Sasha says it sounds great, but she can’t go. Not after last night.

Ava speaks with a man at the gallery, confirming two tickets, one for her one for her kid. The flight to Montenegro is in three hours. He says they were the last two in business class one way like asked daughter and her leaving Port Charles and never coming back

Sam tells Danny to check on Scout. When he goes upstairs, Jason asks if Sam is okay. She says obviously, she’s sick. She felt it coming on last night at the bachelor/bachelorette thing, and woke up feeling like hell. He asks what he can do for her, and she says, leave. He doesn’t want what she has. He says he’ll manage. She just admitted she can’t make it upstairs. They planned to watch the parade together. She says, don’t say she didn’t warn him. He asks if he can get her breakfast, but she says she’s not hungry. She starts digging in the doughnut box, and Jason says he thought she wasn’t hungry. She says, she’s not. Not for food food, but these are doughnuts. She sneezes, and says, there’s always room for doughnuts.

Sonny can’t believe Kristina has to work on Thanksgiving. He says, there should be a law, and she says, there is; time and a half. He asks if she’s bailing on her family for cash, but she says it’s just for breakfast. He wonders when she’s coming by for turkey. She says she has other plans. He asks if she’s going to see Alexis, and she says something else. He asks what’s more important than family, and she says serving those less fortunate. Daisy comes in, and Kristina introduces her to Sonny.

Alexis asks Oscar, what about the Quartermaines. They’re good people and care about him. He says his dad will be there, and the second he shows up, Drew will call his mom. Then it becomes about him and the choices he’s making or not making. Alexis says it’s just about family spending time together. She doesn’t want him to spend it alone, and asks if there’s anyone else he’d like to spend Thanksgiving with.

Cameron tells Josslyn the gift is nothing major. He was hoping they could talk first. The phone rings. It’s Ava saying she’s going to be there in ten minutes to pick up Avery. Josslyn thought Sonny was taking her to the parade, but Ava says they agreed she would do it, and drop her back this afternoon. See that she’s dressed and ready. Ava looks at a picture of her and Kiki.

Sasha tells Nina that she’s physically fine, but it freaked her out. She’s sorry about The Nutcracker. Nina tells her, don’t worry. Just focus on getting well.

Valentin heard Spencer was back in town. He asks if Laura knows he’s there. Spencer says, the next mayor of Port Charles. She’ll be taking over, and the first thing she’s going to do is get rid of him.

Not-Doc tells Laura that he has a problem with one thing. He reads, we ask for space and privacy as we take time to strengthen our marriage. She asks if he wants her to rephrase it, but he’d prefer she remove it. She asks, why? and he tells her, saying they expect the marriage to survive intact feels like a lie. She thinks it’s funny he should say that. Everything about it feels like a lie to her.

Cameron tells Josslyn couples do stuff when they’re alone. She asks, what kind of stuff? She doesn’t want to give her parents the wrong idea. He says, it’s a little late. Everyone thinks they’re dating. She says they’re good at this, and he guesses they are.

Oscar tells Alexis not to worry about him. She says she’s a lawyer; it’s in her job description. He asks if it isn’t the mom in her talking, and she says, maybe. You can’t turn it off when you’re a parent. He says her daughters are lucky. They grew up with a mom who supported their decisions. She says she’ll pass that along to them when they want a laugh. He says, they wouldn’t agree? and she says, no, especially Kristina.

Kristina tells Sonny that they’re going to help serve dinner to the homeless, and they’re eating at the house afterward. Daisy asks if Sony wants to join them for dinner. Kristina says, to rescue others is to rescue yourself. Daisy says Kristina told them what a positive impact he’s had on her life, and he says not nearly the impact she’s had on his.

Not-Doc tells Laura, don’t do this. She says she’s heard his reasons, and doesn’t buy them. He’s sorry she’s distrustful. Maybe if he’d come to France… She says he’s not even trying to fix it, and he wonders what she can’t accept. She says the person there isn’t the guy she married, and she’s not letting up until she finds him again.

Valentin says he was letting Spencer be. He was hoping Spencer would outgrow his obsession, but he underestimated him. Spencer says, most people do. Big things come in small packages. Valentin says, noisy ones too. He heard from Charlotte that he was bragging that Laura’s chances at being mayor increased. It reminded him of how Nikolas thought he was ensuring the previous mayor. Has he taken a page from his father’s book? He wonders if Spencer knows the penalty for election tampering. Spencer says Valentin has a weakness, and he’s going to find it. Sasha comes in, and asks if she’s interrupting. Spencer asks who she is, and Valentin introduces them.

On the phone, Ava says, one quick stop, then straight to the airport. Nina steps into the doorway, and asks if she’s going somewhere. Ava doesn’t have time; she has a car waiting. Nina told Ava to keep away from her daughter, and she didn’t listen. She’s too hell bent on ruining her own daughter’s life. She gave Sasha a roofie; that’s assault. Before she calls the police, did Ava think it was going to work? Did she learn nothing from Morgan’s death? She does the same things over and over, and doesn’t think they’re bad, but they end up being very, very bad.

Laura knows not-Doc is keeping something from her. If it’s not about his brother, what is it? He doesn’t want talk about his brother, and she says, that’s the problem. He doesn’t want talk about anything. She keeps guessing and making assumptions; what’s the truth? If it’s not his brother, what is it. He says, them. He tried to be kind and gentle, but she refuses to hear it. She says she doesn’t believe what she’s hearing. She’ll tolerate a lot of things, but not being lied to. He says she wants honesty? Be careful. The truth hurts. He leaves.

Sasha asks how Valentin knows Spencer, and Spencer says he’s the rightful heir to the Cassadine estate. She asks what that makes Valentin, and he says, out of patience, and Spencer out of his house. Spencer says it’s his grandma’s house, and Valentin tells him to give her his best. Spencer says, as if she’d take anything from him. When he’s gone, Sasha says that kid has an attitude. Valentin says that’s the polite way of putting it. He asks if she’s okay, and she says, no.

Alexis tells Oscar that she butts in plenty. He asks if she’s ever forced her daughters to do what they didn’t want to, and she says, all the time. Parents do that, especially when their child is in danger of getting hurt. Safety is a priority. He asks why she’s on his side. She tells him that if a girl wanted an abortion in New York, she could do so without parental consent. There’s no reason he shouldn’t have the same autonomy over his own body. He asks, what if it was Molly or Kristina? What would she do then?

A bunch of construction paper turkeys are on the table, and Cameron says he’s more crafty than he thought. Josslyn thanks him for everything. He’s a good friend, and they have fun hanging out. He says they’ve known each other forever, haven’t hung out since they were kids. Josslyn says she had a crush on him back then. Too bad she was dressing up as ears of corn. He says he likes the look, and kisses her. He hopes that was okay, and she says, it was fine; more than fine. She wanted to. Cameron says, not like the first time, and she says, exactly. He asks what her plans are today. She tells him dinner and football. He says, her and the rest of the country. She says he’d be surprised. Last year, Oscar forced her to go on a hike. She apologizes, saying she shouldn’t have mentioned it. Cameron says she still likes him, doesn’t she?

Jason tells Sam that Scout is asleep. She’s jealous, and he says she can nap, but she’s not missing the parade. She says she took some medicine, and will feel better in no time. Danny goes to the kitchen, and Sam tells Jason that she knows she says she doesn’t need to be rescued, but sometimes it’s nice to be. He hands her tissues. She thanks him, and he says, anytime.

Josslyn says of course she still likes Oscar. They dated for over a year. Feelings don’t go away. He ended it, it hurt, and she did stupid stuff because of it. She’s done with that. She’s feeling good again, and Cameron is one of the main reasons. He asks if she meant that, or is she just trying get over Oscar. If there was no Oscar, would she be into him? She doesn’t know. There was. He helped her through it, but she’d be lying if she said fake kisses don’t feel nice. If he wants, they can try it for real, and see where it goes. He shakes his head, and says she wouldn’t be saying this if she knew. She says, knew what? and he tells her, Oscar’s sick.

Alexis tells Oscar that she’d like to think if she was in his mother’s extremely difficult position, she’d have the courage not impose, but he has to understand that parents, no matter what age their child is, still look at them as their baby, their responsibility and heart. What she knows for sure, is she’d fight to the death to make sure they had every moment on earth due them and more. She knows it’s not what he wanted to hear, but she’s not his parent; she’s his lawyer. Her goal is to make sure he has what he wants, and she’ll move heaven and earth to make it happen. She’s going home, and going to hug her daughters extra tight tonight, and be grateful for every second she has with them. She kisses his forehead, and tells him, happy Thanksgiving.

Sonny thanks them for the address, and says he’ll send all the food they need. Kristina thinks they’re all set, but Daisy says they can use more. She says Sonny is generous, and he says, that’s what today is all about. He leaves, and Kristina says, sorry. She’s not used to accepting handouts. Daisy says she’s getting there, or she wouldn’t have quoted chapter six verbatim. She’s a good student.

On his way out, Sonny tells Laura that she has his vote. She wishes everyone had his good sense. She says a check from Ava came across her desk. He thinks maybe she should return it, and she says that’s her intention.

Ava says Nina is preaching to her, when she ripped Ava’s child out of her womb. Nina says she had a psychotic break. What’s Ava’s excuse? You don’t see her cruising the maternity ward looking for kids. She calls Ava soulless, and they go at each other. Not-Doc steps between them. Nina asks if Ava wants what’s coming to her, but not-Doc says she just made it serious. Nina says she’ll let the cops take from there, and hopes Ava chokes on her turkey. She storms out. Ava says she’s a lunatic; tossing accusations at her after what Nina did to her. Not-Doc says he’s there now, and won’t let anything happen to her.

Jason comes back downstairs, and finds Sam asleep on the couch. He looks at the medication she took.

Spencer comes to Charlie’s. Laura thought he was at the parade, but he says the seats weren’t close enough, so he left. Sonny says he has passes, and asks if Spencer wants to come. Laura thought he was going to be her date for the wedding. Sonny asks where Doc is, but she says he can’t make it. Sonny tells Spencer to show the cops a good time, and Spencer asks if they think the FBI will be there. Sonny says Jordan used to be with the DEA, and you know how they are. Spencer thinks Laura should go without him. He might cramp her style.

Valentin asks if Sasha knows what drug she was given. She says no, but she was knocked out, and she’s still woozy. He says he’s sorry. She’s had to deal with way more than he thought she would, and deserves more compensation. She says she’s fine, and he says she might not be if she’s sticking around. She says she’s leaving, and he says he can’t make her stay, but urges her to reconsider. if anything else happens, he’ll buy her the next ticket home; no questions asked. She looks at the check, and says in some ways it’s sad. Nina will never know how much he loves her, and the lengths he’d go to make her happy. It’s a huge romantic gesture, in a twisted way. He says twisted is kind of his thing. Nina sees them.

Ava tells not-Doc that she’s got to get out. She’s going to Montenegro to start; then underground. Not-Doc asks if they have any evidence. When she says no, he says, of course not. She’s too smart to be traced that easy. This is her home. Don’t let them run her out of it. People will miss her. She laughs, and says Julian is absorbed in his new life, and Kiki will throw a party. The whole town can come. There’s nothing for her there. She has no one. Not-Doc says she has him.

Oscar runs into Charlie’s, apologizing for being late. Kristina says, yeah, thirty seconds. She goes to get her stuff, and Daisy asks if he has another headache. He says he tried the breathing thing, and she asks if he’s been reading. He hasn’t had the time, but she tells him not to abandon the teaching. If you think it, it can be. Thinking hard about a million dollars right now.

Josslyn asks what Cameron means by sick; with what? He thinks she should talk to Oscar, but it’s bad. She says, how bad? and he asks if she remembers when Oscar went to the hospital with low blood sugar. It wasn’t low blood sugar. She asks how he’s long known, and he says for a while. His mom was acting weird – it’s a long story – and he figured it out. Josslyn asks if Oscar admitted it, and he says, yes. Josslyn says so that’s why he broke up with her. It’s the reason for everything, and he knew. She asked him over and over. She could tell something was going on, but all he did was sidestep and make excuses for Oscar. What about her? Why didn’t he try harder? He said she shouldn’t try to get back with Oscar, and now he’s going through this terrible thing and she’s not there. Cameron says he didn’t know what to do. Oscar was freaking out, and ordered him not to say anything. He doesn’t want to not honor a dying man’s wish, or lie to her. Which is worse? What was he supposed to do? Josslyn says, trust her with the truth, and let her figure out a way to deal with it. She goes upstairs, and he picks up the still-wrapped gift.

Kristina is ready to go. Daisy asks if they’ll see Oscar at the house dinner, and he says, maybe. Outside, Kristina thanks Daisy for something positive today. Daisy asks if her Thanksgivings are usually negative. Kristina says she eyeballs Sam while they compliment an inedible turkey. Daisy would love to know her whole family.

Alexis asks Danny how the parade was, and he says, awesome. He asks if she wants to go up to the roof and see, but she says they promised grandma they’d be there. She asks where mommy is ,and he says, upstairs in bed with daddy.

Jason tells Sam that she took the wrong medication, and knocked herself out. He tells her to get some sleep. Alexis is there to pick up the kids. She asks him to stay with her. He gets in the bed, and spoons her.

Sonny comes home, and sees Cameron there. He asks if he’s seen Josslyn, and Cameron says she left. He asks if Sonny can do him a favor, and give this to her. He hands Sonny the gift, and jets. Spencer is there, and tells Sonny, don’t look at him. Cameron has always been a mess.

Oscar hears Charlie’s door open, and says, sorry, they’re closed. It’s Josslyn.

Sonny tells Spencer that Avery will be down soon. She could get used to having her big cousin around. Spencer says don’t get his hopes up. The more he thinks about it, the more he’s convinced his place is in school in France.

Nina tells Valentin that she brought the dress Charlotte wants to wear today. She asks, what’s going on? and Valentin says he was giving Sasha some cash to buy Charlotte something nice in New York. Nina says she’s not going; she should be recuperating. Sasha says she’s worried and angry with Ava – Valentin says, and rightly so – but she’s more worried about Nina confronting Ava. Nina says she already confronted Ava, but Doc showed up before she slapped Ava into next week. She’s going to let the cops deal with Ava. There’s nothing and no one who can save her from what she did.

Ava asks how does she have not-Doc? He says he can’t be her psychiatrist, but they can have a different kind of relationship. One not bound by professional mores. They’re kindred spirits, and know each other in a way no one else ever could. She says he’s been more like a friend than a therapist. He tells her that she’s been more like a goddess to him than a friend. He kisses her, and Laura sees.

On Monday, the wedding and Thanksgiving, Nina needs to talk to Curtis, Josslyn tells Oscar to stop lying, and Laura doesn’t accept blood money. Tomorrow, a rerun of the November 27, 2000 episode.

The Real Housewives of Dallas

Cary thinks LeeAnne’s delivery has changed for the better, and thinks LeeAnne is working on her behavior. Brandi says LeeAnne is talking behind her back; the same as before. Kameron thinks she’s not being fair. Brandi asks how it’s not fair, when LeeAnne is talking behind her back. Kameron says she doesn’t do that. Brandi asks, what about Mama Dee? Brandi despises LeeAnne. She hasn’t done anything to Kameron, so Kameron always has her back. She’s walking on eggshells. LeeAnne asks if Brandi thinks Stephanie is lying to her. Brandi says she thinks they’re all fake bitches. In her interview, Brandi knows LeeAnne hasn’t changed. She doesn’t understand how everyone can forgive and move on. LeeAnne has talked about people’s marriages and their finances. She even said that she and Bryan are adopting a baby to save their marriage. We flash back to that, a clip Brandi has apparently never seen because LeeAnne clearly says, how would you feel if I said… in making a comparison to what Brandi was saying about her. Brandi says, now she’s an alcoholic? It’s bullsh*t. Brandi leaves the table. LeeAnne holds back tears.

Stephanie follows her. D’Andra feels stuck in the middle again, and Stephanie says, so is she. In her interview, Stephanie says Brandi is her friend too, and no matter what, she can’t win. LeeAnne tells Stephanie that she would never put her in the middle; it’s not worth it. She’d rather suffer the loss of the friendship than see that happen. Stephan wants to have Brandi’s back, but LeeAnne says she has nothing to prove. They’ve seen what a good friend she is. Stephanie gets why Brandi doesn’t feel supported. In her interview, Stephanie says they are kind of all fake bitches. She’s not being a friend to LeeAnne by not saying anything, making LeeAnne think what she’s doing is okay. Stephanie says LeeAnne has been calm, but one thing she needs to work on is not digging deep. She gives low blows, and says things that can’t be taken back. LeeAnne admits that when she’s hurting, she likes to hit them and watch them crawl away.

D’Andra calls Brandi, who’s at a bar down the street. D’Andra says she’ll meet her, and Brandi texts her the address. LeeAnne doesn’t want Brandi’s feelings to drag her and Stephanie back, but Stephanie says she’s her own person. In Cary’s interview, she says she expected someone to pitch a fit at dinner. She hopes nothing ever happens to her while they’re at dinner. She’ll be lying on the floor, and they’ll be fighting. LeeAnne asks what hope is left for her and D’Andra? She walked out the door – choice made. In her interview, Kameron feels badly. They’re all running away, but she has a bowl of ice cream in front of her and hasn’t eaten all week.

Stephanie meets Brandi and D’Andra, saying she left her phone at the hotel. In Brandi’s interview, she says she’s glad they came, but feels betrayed. It’s easier to be friends with LeeAnne than have her back. Brandi thinks if they could feel what it’s like to be in her shoes, everybody would feel the hurt and anger she does. She thinks they should have supported her more. In her interview, Stephanie knows why Brandi is upset about the video, but she should have had a stronger opinion about LeeAnne calling her best friend an alcoholic. Stephanie says she warned LeeAnne about low blows, and saying things she can’t take back. D’Andra says sometimes she feels like she’s being split as a friend, and there’s no way it can be 50/50 with both of them. Brandi tells Stephanie not to feel stuck in the middle

Cary is taking Zuri to Tivoli tomorrow. She can’t be happier to send the women home, and spend time with Mark and Zuri.

Back in the US, D’Andra says she leaves town, and everything falls apart. Stephanie’s plants are slowly dying.

Leeanne goes to KB Studios, where she meets with the team for the fashion show. The show basically to launch her Infinity Dress that can be worn 175 ways. They discuss logistics. LeeAnne wants it intimate. She says it went from a vision in her head, to samples, to a stop motion video, to the fashion show. She’s invited everyone who can give her an opinion on whether it’s a viable product. She says, it takes a village, and thanks everyone.

Kameron says she didn’t eat enough in Copenhagen. She likes American food, and she was starving. She visits Cary, after stopping for a milkshake. Cary tells Kameron that she made a light lunch, and Kameron thanks Cary for feeding her. They toast to being back. In her interview, Cary says she stayed an extra day. It was fantastic; a life-changing trip.  Kameron can’t get over D’Andra and LeeAnne. She’s never been yelled at like that. D’Andra is scary. Cary asks if Kameron feels better since they talked, and Kameron says D’Andra is on friend probation. She has to earn Kameron’s trust back. Cary asks what happened with Brandi, and Kameron says, the last night in Copenhagen, LeeAnne lost her phone. She gave up looking for it, and was about to go to sleep. Brandi found the phone in a cushion, and brought it to the room. LeeAnne was like, uh-huh, and thinks Brandi went through the phone to make sure the video was gone. Cary says she loves Brandi, but doesn’t think she would know how to get into LeeAnne’s phone. Kameron doesn’t think it was intentional. Neither does Cary, but I do.

Stephanie walks with Brandi and Bruin in a stroller. Brandi tells her that LeeAnne thinks she stole her phone. In Brandi’s interview, she says LeeAnne’s phone was at the bar. When she knocked at the door, LeeAnne didn’t even make eye contact. She tells Stephanie, if she was going to do something, she would have flushed it down the toilet, or shattered it.

Kameron tells Cary that LeeAnne told Brandi, she cloned Brandi’s phone. Cary asks if Kameron thinks LeeAnne knows how to clone a phone, and in her interview, she says, it’s like CSI on crack.

Stephanie asks Brandi if she thinks LeeAnne knows how to clone a phone. She can’t imagine that LeeAnne would do that, but she’s tired of constant threats. In her interview, Stephanie says she thinks LeeAnne is trying to get even with Brandi and freaked her out. Now they’re fighting about a phone. Brandi says LeeAnne is the most vindictive person she’s ever met.

Kameron tells Cary that she’s going to LeeAnne’s fashion show. Cary wants to talk to her, and ask if cloning a phone is real.

Cary, Mark, and Zuri are living in her parents’ house, and as projected, the remodel took longer. The house isn’t livable yet, and probably not for another month. Her parents are coming for a visit from Palm Springs. They’re staying at a hotel because it’s too weird. Ann and Chris arrive. Ann says she’s sure Zuri must have stories to tell, and Zuri says, mommy went swimming naked. In her interview, Cary says, kids are so honest. Mark shows Chris pictures of Zuri in Copenhagen. Cary says she took the trip to honor Chris, their legacy and heritage. She wants him to know how much she loves and respects him. In Cary’s interview, she says that she and her father are alike in burying their emotions deep inside. They have a hard exterior shell to keep from feeling vulnerable. Chris says it made him happy. It’s the beginning of a new relationships. Cary gets choked up. In her interview, she says she and her father have always struggled with common ground. This is something they can share and bond over.

Kameron says, it’s great to be back. She loves not dealing with drama in the morning. She just has spilled milk and cereal drama. Court asks for the latest on Sparkle Dog, and Kameron says she has eighty emails. A national distribution agent was interested – we flash back to that – but now she’s mortified and embarrassed. He won’t think she’s professional if she didn’t respond quickly. She doesn’t want to give up Sparkle, but she has guilt trips about the children. Court says she can’t work full time at both things. She’s going to miss stuff. He wants her to chase her dreams, but he wants her at home. She says she hasn’t figured out the balance thing, but she thinks she’s going to find a business partner. One with more experience in the industry. Court thinks it’s a good idea. She has to be CEO of the house before she’s CEO of Sparkle. In Kameron’s interview, she said she’d been thinking about it, and it’s good to have priorities, but she can make Sparkle her second priority. She says she wants to focus on the children, especially since he says he doesn’t want another one. He says if the Sparkle sales do well, and she spends less on tacky pillows, maybe they can talk about a third kid. Kameron says she’ll have to sell lots of Sparkle.

Everything is set up for the show. LeeAnne is grateful, and loves her friend Steve (the event designer). That’s why he’s doing her wedding.

Cary joins D’Andra in her makeup room. They’re both still tired. Cary asks if D’Andra is nervous. Has she talked to LeeAnne. D’Andra says they haven’t spoken. Cary has chains put in her hair. They call Brandi. Cary tells her that they’re getting ready for the fashion show, and Brandi says she wasn’t invited. She’s making her kids feel special tonight. Brooklyn was mad, and destroyed her closet. She also took Brandi’s phone to school. D’Andra says, like mother, like daughter. She asks Brandi, what happened with cellphone clonegate? and Brandi says LeeAnne was crossing line in threatening her. She should have left LeeAnne’s phone in the bar. D’Andra says LeeAnne asked Rich to clone Brandi’s phone.

LeeAnne directs the name tags for the chairs. She says, drama queens all in a row. Flowers arrive from Stephanie, who’s sorry she can’t be there. LeeAnne thinks it’s the sweetest thing ever, and calls her. Stephanie is sorry, and would be there if it wasn’t Travis’s birthday. In Stephanie’s interview, she says she wanted to support LeeAnne, but didn’t want be in the middle of the phone situation, She dodged a bullet.

Cary tells D’Andra that she’s on friend probation with Kameron. In D’Andra’s interview, she says Kameron made a joke about it, and now she’s dangling it in her face. An adult doesn’t put someone on friend probation. Rich people problems. D’Andra gets why Kameron was hurt, but this is ridiculous. In her interview, Cary thinks D’Andra should STFU about it. Is friend probation a thing? She thought it was a joke. She tells D’Andra that you have to eat crow sometimes. D’Andra thought she already did.

Leeanne thanks her team, and says she believes in all of them; they’re amazing. In her interview, she says the dress is a hugely important potential money earner for the rest of her life. Honestly, I’d be surprised if it didn’t do well. The girls arrive, LeeAnne tells Cary that she nailed it with the chains. Kameron loves the set up; it’s like New York Fashion Week. D’Andra has no idea what to expect. It will either be a hot mess, a train wreck, or amazing. LeeAnne says Rick is out of town. D’Andra isn’t saying anything. Cary is surprised D’Andra knows nothing about the dress, since she and LeeAnne are supposed to be best friends.

Steve welcomes everyone to the launch of the ultimate little black dress, and introduces LeeAnne. She says it’s an idea she had fifteen years ago, and tells the audience, 175 ways, one dress. In LeeAnne’s interview, she says the best case scenario is everyone thinks the dress is amazing. The worst case, they leave without saying goodbye. Cary says she’s more simplistic in style; she’s not a fruff – whatever that means. D’Andra thinks the attachments are an interesting choice, and if you don’t have a huge budget, it could be the answer to that. Kameron thinks it’s genius, and the dress is going down in fashion history. I agree; it’s amazing. In Cary’s interview, she says she’d rather buy 175 dresses, but she’s proud of LeeAnne. LeeAnne is introduced again as the diva of Dallas, and the queen bee. We flash back to the question of who is queen of the group. LeeAnne comes out in the basic dress in white, wearing a veil and carrying a bouquet. In her interview, she says, D’Andra claimed she’d never be in white walking down the aisle. Here you go, bitch! She’s in white, and walking down the aisle. D’Andra says it’s a jab directed at her. Both the comment and walk. She’d thought they were trying to patch things up.

Mom Jana calls Brandi. Brandi tells her to be careful what she texts or emails. LeeAnne hacked her phone, and has all of her private information. Jana thought that was illegal. In her interview, Brandi says she was relieved that her mom thinks it’s bullsh*t, but LeeAnne is officially a complete liar. She tells Bruin that grandma is opinionated, but they love her.

LeeAnne thinks it was a fabulous launch, and they did amazing. People totally got it. She and her team toast. LeeAnne mingles. A woman tells her the fabric is the bomb. Kameron asks where Brandi and Stephanie are. Cary explains that it’s Travis’s birthday, and Brandi is with her kids. D’Andra says Brandi wasn’t invited. Kameron says she’s still upset about the phone thing, and asks if they think LeeAnne really cloned the phone. D’Andra says, they can do that?

LeeAnne joins them. D’Andra is glad she made it. Come hell or high water, even if LeeAnne wasn’t talking to her, she’d still be there. LeeAnne says if they weren’t talking, she wouldn’t have invited D’Andra. In D’Andra’s interview, she says, that’s rude. She’s made every effort to mend the friendship, and LeeAnne is jabbing at her. LeeAnne says they’ve had a rough couple of months, and she wants it to get better. They’re like sisters. D’Andra says she could have opened LeeAnne’s phone with facial recognition. LeeAnne says she’s glad to have her phone back, and she didn’t clone Brandi’s phone; that was bullsh*t. D’Andra says, that’s not nice, and Cary says it was a joke. D’Andra says that minimizes what LeeAnne said. No one else thought it was a joke. It makes her sound insane. LeeAnne says, don’t steal her phone .She wonders why everyone focuses on what she does, instead of what that bitch does. She knows she’s supposed to be older and wiser, but how about mature Brandi up. It was her little punishment, like ice cream at the end of the day. Sorry. She deserves it. In her interview, LeeAnne says they refuse to see the mean girl side of Brandi. She’s gingerly sweet, with a side of bullsh*t that no one has seen. I dunno. I’ve seen it. And she stopped talking to Stephanie for months without even telling her why. Cary says she doesn’t think Brandi stole LeeAnne’s phone. Kameron thought she might have looked through it to see if the photos were gone. She sees both sides. In her interview, Cary says she gets that Kameron is a supportive friend, but she always agrees, and it looks like she’s playing both sides. D’Andra says LeeAnne is on a new path this year, and LeeAnne thinks she’s done well, except for that little lie. In her interview, D’Andra says LeeAnne isn’t changing. The reality is, she’s still the same person. If she’s going back to her old habits, she’s not changing. She might be banging on a bowl, but she’s still the same person.

Next time, the finale, Rich and LeeAnne look at the chapel, D’Andra wants her mother to be proud of her, Stephanie has a frat party to send Travis off, and Brandi gets in LeeAnne’s face.

🐮 The highlight of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was their trip to Oklahoma. Marge had been there before, and was apparently sh*tting her pants over the existence of coyotes. Melissa called Joe #2 via video chat to tell him that they woke up to a cow, and to show him the cow. No surprise, Teresa – who is still preparing for the fitness competition, so you can’t blame her for being cranky – got in a fight with Melissa. Teresa was glad to hear Joe #2 was hanging out with their poppa, but thought it was because Melissa wasn’t there, and he’d been choosing her over their dad. Melissa was ticked because she thought Teresa was tolerating her, instead of treating her like a real sister, and she didn’t think that was ever going to happen. She said she was never going to be what Teresa wanted, but regardless, they’re family, so they should try to make it work. They decided to enjoy the trip, but you know it’s not over. Speaking of sisterhood, Melissa thought she might have a long lost sister. Next week, more Oklahoma, and more fighting.

November 22, 2017 – A Quartermaine Tradition, Quotes of Gratitude, a Holiday Wish & Vintage Thanksgiving

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

So how will the Quartermaines end up with Thanksgiving pizza this year when everyone is going elsewhere?

Carly tells Sonny the turkey is too big, but he thinks it’s fine. He tells her to worry about the guests; he’ll worry about the turkey.

Oscar arrives in a tie. His mom told him to upgrade his look. Josslyn wonders where she is, and worries she figured things out, but Oscar says she forgot the pie she’s bringing. Josslyn says it seems like he doesn’t want his mom to meet her parents. He says it’s not them; it’s his mom. She’s cool, but can be a little much. They kiss.

Stella and TJ arrive at Alexis’s house. Curtis is stopping for extra cream – a nod to last year’s Thanksgiving when Alexis went out for some, and never came back. David comes out with appetizers.

At Lulu and Dante’s place, Ned arrives with fresh rosemary for Olivia-Q. Lulu demands to know if Maxie is pregnant. Ned is looking forward to turkey with all the fixings, and Olivia says the pizza place will wonder what happened. He says no one’s at the mansion this Thanksgiving; there’s a first time for everything.

Andrew is there. He looks at the family photos, and I already want to cry.

Jason asks Sam if “he’s” there, and Sam says no. He asks to come in. She doesn’t think it’s a good idea, but he says it’s important. He needs her to tell him what she wants him to do.

Stella says there can never be too many hands; how can she help? Alexis says TJ can help by fixing the remote.

Curtis keeps messing with his phone, but Jordan says she doesn’t think his contact will run into Andre before they break the wishbone. He wants to be there for Andrew, but she says she needs his head in the game now. Stella opens the door.

Sonny tells us it’s all in the Creole seasonings. Michael is distracted with something on his phone. Sonny asks if it’s business, but he says it’s Nelle. Carly tells Oscar that she’s looking forward to meeting his mom as much as he must be looking forward to watching football with the guys. Josslyn tells her Oscar isn’t a football fan, and she says he can battle over the wishbone them. She has some advice though; Sonny likes to win.

Monica didn’t expect to see Andrew. He asks where everyone is. She tells him she was supposed to be in Mexico, but her flight was grounded. She’ll have to find her harmonic convergence experience at home. He says he’s going to Alexis’s house, but wanted to make sure they’re still good. First it was Carly and Sonny, now Robin thinks the other guy is Jason. He’s being told that everything he remembers, and his life, belongs to someone else. He ran into Robin at Elizabeth’s. She’d taken one look at the other guy’s face, and now he’s a stranger.

Jason tells Sam about Diane trying to hunt down his fingerprints. She asks why he’s telling her this. He says eventually, Diane will prove he’s Jason Morgan, unless he tells her to stop. Sam asks why he’d do that and stay in limbo? He says he has nothing to prove. He knows the truth, and can live his whole life never using his name again, if it’s easier for her. She says it’s impossible, and he’s making it harder.

Nathan tells Dante not to mention Man Landers; he’s heard it all. He’s glad his in-laws are celebrating with Anna, and Dante says he’s just delaying the inevitable. Dante tells him there’s something weird about Maxie, and Nathan is like, just today? In another room, Lulu wants to know if Maxie is pregnant. It’s Lulu and Dante’s anniversary, and she tells Maxie that she can’t deny an Italian a request on their anniversary. It’s in The Godfather. Maxie says she’s not Italian. She does have something to tell her, but not yet. Lulu insists it must be that she’s pregnant, but she says it has to do with Man Landers being exposed by The Invader.

Curtis gives Alexis the cream, and she promises to keep the culinary upsets to a minimum. Jordan asks if Stella brought her dressing, since it’s the best she ever had. David checks on the bird. Molly tells Alexis that David is sweet and helpful, and asks if she’s is going to be reaching out to Kristina today. Alexis wonders how Kristina is doing, and Molly tells her if she wants to know, reach out herself. Alexis isn’t doing this right now, and Molly says how about if they talk about Dr. McDashing?

Michael tells Sonny that Nelle wished him a happy Thanksgiving. Sonny is surprised they’re still in touch, and Michael says he’s still her landlord, and it’s best to be nice. He tells Sonny that it just didn’t work. Carly comes in with Oscar. Sonny asks if he wants beer, adding that he’s just joking. Carly suggests his sense of humor might be lost on people who don’t know him, like Oscar’s mom. She should be there any minute. Sonny tells Michael to make sure the guards are out of sight.

Monica tells Andrew his relationships with them are all real. He says now he’s just some guy they’ve known for three years. They’ve always been there for each other, but they think the other guy is Jason. How long until his family feels the same way?

Sam tells Jason that he has to choose between fighting for his life or giving it away. He says her husband is going out of his mind over this, and thinks he’s Jason. He remembers everything, all of it. Sam says suddenly someone told him it’s all a lie; what is he expected to do? Jason says that’s why he’s there. He’s willing to step back, let her husband use the name, and they can go on with their lives. Sam asks what would happen to him?

Molly calls Alexis a secret keeper, and she insists she’s not keeping secrets. Molly asks why Alexis didn’t say anything about inviting David, and she says she just found out he was going to be by himself. All Molly cares about is that his name isn’t Julian. Jordan asks David how it’s going with the real estate, and he explains he’s looking to move, and likes the area of Charles Street. Stella asks if that’s not where that woman set up her herb shop; the crazy lady who almost blew up the hospital. She saw her attorney on TV, reading a statement from her, admitting that she forced her brother to commit crimes. Molly looks at Alexis.

Sam asks Jason what he’s going to do? Climb on his motorcycle and ride away? She wonders if Carly and Sonny would let him go, and he says he’d explain why he had to leave. Sam tells him that they’ve spent five years missing him, wanting to hear his voice, believing they’d never see him again. Now they have him back. She doesn’t think he should leave. There’s a lot of sighing, and Jason says she saw the way her husband reacted to the DNA test. It wasn’t good, and this will only make it worse. Sam says let it get worse. The only way to move forward is to know the truth. That’s what she wants. She wants to know who’s Andrew Moore and who’s Jason Morgan. He says he’ll tell Diane to keep working. She, Max, Milo, and Epiphany are having Thanksgiving dinner together. She doesn’t know what’s crazier, Diane cooking, or Sonny giving the guards the day off. He says Milo is cooking, and tells her why the guys ended up with free time. They laugh about Sonny hiding the guards. Jason says they’re not gone completely; he’s just not advertising it. Sam says, good luck with that, and to tell everyone happy Thanksgiving. He says he will, and the same to her. Danny comes downstairs, and recognizes him as mommy’s friend from the hospital.

Monica tells Andrew that he’s not losing his family. He says he never thought he’d lose Sonny and Carly either. She says they’re not family, but she is. She tells him family doesn’t cut and run; they stay, and that’s what she’s doing. Andrew asks what if they find out he’s not family, which is stupid, because he’d still be family regardless of which twin he is. She says it doesn’t make a difference. They’ve formed a relationship in the last two years. He knows that, but sometimes thinks he’s not really himself. Either way, he’s grateful she’s his mother. Monica says she’s grateful he’s her son, and they hug.

Josslyn asks Oscar if he uncovered any more clues. He says he followed up on the guy they found online, but he’s gay, and never had any interest in women. Back to the drawing board. Josslyn says it’s okay; they’ll fine him. She tells Oscar to have faith. Sonny tells everyone heads up. He got a call from Nico, and Oscar’s mom is on her way up. Oscar says their lives will never be the same. Oscar’s mom arrives, and it’s Tamara Braun who used to be Carly. I wonder if it feels weird for old Carly to be working with now Carly.

Stella wonders if she said something wrong, and TJ tells her that Olivia-J is the sister of Alexis’s ex-husband. Curtis asks if Jordan knew about the press conference. She says the DA had just informed her that Olivia is taking the rap for everything, saying she coerced Julian into helping. Molly asks what this means for Julian, and Jordan says hopefully his appeal will be denied, but it’s possible he could be released. Andrew comes in, and asks where Sam is.

Danny asks if Jason is coming to his grandma’s for Thanksgiving. He wishes he could, but he’s having dinner with friends. Danny asks if they have a dog, and says his other grandma does. He wishes he was going there so they could practice; he’s teaching her tricks. Jason says he hopes he sees that someday. He leaves, and Danny tells Sam that he likes him; he’s nice. Sam says he’s special. You just know that kid is going to spill the beans to his not dad.

Oscar’s mom, Kim, exchanges pleasantries with Sonny and Carly. Carly says she’s glad they’re finally getting a chance to talk, and Sonny tells her that she raised a good kid. She hopes they’re not creating extra work, and Michael says it gave his dad an excuse to get the biggest turkey. Josslyn and Oscar go upstairs to check on Avery. Carly says she thought they’d disappear before Kim’s coat was off. Kim says they have a lovely place. Obviously, organized crime has been good to them.

Laura tells Ned that she heard he’s back at ELQ. He says just when he thinks he’s out, he gets pulled back in. He’s excited about the Charles Street redevelopment. Laura reminds him that she fought ELQ’s plans to build a toxic waste site there, but he tells her that Michael is environmentally friendly. Olivia-Q brings out the turkey.

Lulu is thankful that their family is stronger than ever now that Charlotte is a part of it. Ned is happy that his family has merged with Olivia’s. Olivia is grateful to get to know Monica better, and improve her communication skills. Doc is grateful for Laura, and convincing her to marry him, and Laura says it will be fun planning the wedding. Yeah, probably when you’re planning one for the fifth time, it’s less stressful. Nathan is grateful for his wife’s boundless patience. Maxie is grateful for her new job, her husband, her daughter, and good things to come. On the phone, Ned asks why Monica didn’t tell them her flight was canceled. He tells her to come over; there’s a plate with her name on it. She says it’s no big deal, and she’s fine with a turkey burger. She tells him to just enjoy the holiday. He smiles.

Sonny tells Kim that he’s a coffee importer. He doesn’t want to bore her with his business, but tells her to ask him anything. Michael gets a call from Ned, and steps away. Kim says she’s done her best to honor her son’s privacy, and hasn’t pressed him for information, but she’s done her due diligence. She knows what they are. Sonny tells her not to pay attention to bad press, but she says his name is attached to a long list of concerns. Carly says Oscar gave them one excuse after another not to meet. Kim admits she’s very busy with work, and he’s on his own more than she’d like, which can lead to bad decisions. Carly says Oscar and Josslyn have been together for months, and they’re great together. Kim isn’t objecting; she doesn’t think the relationship will last long enough to be a problem. Josslyn is Oscar’s first girlfriend, and he’s Josslyn’s first boyfriend. They’ll eventually get bored and move on. She knows that they’ve kept Josslyn out of the public eye, and is willing to let it play out with minimal friction. Sonny says he can’t fault her logic. The kids are young and new to this, but he’s not betting against them just yet.

Sam and Danny arrive at Alexis’s place. Andrew asks what happened that he beat her there?

Olivia-Q finishes putting out the food, and lists all the dishes that are on the table. Maxie watches as everyone loads their plates, and starts to get sick. Olivia hands her a plate, and she makes a grab for a napkin, knocking over the entire table. She runs to the bathroom.

Alexis brings out the turkey, trips, and drops it.

In the bedroom, Nathan suggests calling a doctor, but Maxie says she’s not sick. She’s been trying to tell him for days that she’s pregnant. He asks, like having a baby pregnant? and gets super excited.

David tells Alexis it’s good as new, and she says she’s sorry. He didn’t have to stay behind to help her clean up; she dropped the turkey. He says it’s not bad, but she says it’s a disaster, like her life; she’s the turkey. He tells her she’s a glorious, intriguing, attractive disaster. She wonders why he doesn’t want to run back to his bachelor pad after what he’s seen and heard, and then kisses him.

Carly tells Kim they probably won’t be spending their lives together, but Josslyn and Oscar have a special connection. She would know that if she spent time with them. Kim says she handled this badly, but Carly respects her. She’s also not one to let things go unsaid. Kim says she doesn’t have time to beat around the bush. Carly says it must be tough being a single mom, and asks if Oscar’s father was ever in the picture.

Sonny comes out, and announces fifteen more minutes. The doorbell rings. Kim tells Carly the situation with Oscar’s dad is complicated. Jason comes in, and Sonny introduces him to Oscar’s mom. She says, “Drew.” Uh-oh.

The entire crowd arrives at the Quartermaine mansion, bearing pizzas. They descend on Monica, singing, We Gather Together. We see a family tableau, framed by Olivia-Q’s decorations. I bust out crying. Hey, I grew up with these people and the traditional stuff gets me every time.

A rerun tomorrow, and football on Friday. Next week, Sam asks what Andrew is really afraid of, Kiki tells Griff that Ava has dropped looking for a new surgeon, and Jason tells Kim that she’s mistaken him for someone else.

Quotes on Gratitude, Giving Back & Doing Good

I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual. It is surprising how contented one can be with nothing definite – only a sense of existence… O how I laugh when I think of my vague indefinite riches. No run on my bank can drain it, for my wealth is not possession but enjoyment.Henry David Thoreau, The Portable Thoreau

No, you do not have thousands of years to live. Urgency is on you. While you live, while you can, become good.Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks.Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

Live all you can; it’s a mistake not to. It doesn’t so much matter what you do in particular, so long as you have your life. If you haven’t had that what have you had?Henry James, The Ambassadors

The growing good of the world is partly dependent on un-historic acts.George Eliot, Middlemarch

The way to right wrongs is to turn the light of truth upon them. — Ida B. Wells, The Light of Truth (Amen, sista!)

Let us be good, let us be young, let us be sincere! Evil is nothing but vanity; let us take pride in the good, and above all, let us not despair.Alexandre Dumas, fils, The Lady of the Camellias

We cast a shadow on something wherever we stand, and it is no good moving from place to place to save things; because the shadow always follows. Choose a place where you won’t do harm…and stand in it for all you are worth, facing the sunshine.E. M. Forster, A Room with a View

No generous mind delights to oppress the weak, but rather to cherish and protect. – Anne Brontë, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall

Reflect upon your present blessings—of which every man has many—not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.Charles Dickens, Sketches by Boz

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving

Since Bravo is showing movies, and Star is a rerun, I’m calling it a night. I’ve got to get that turkey in the oven at 3 am. HAHAHAHAHA! Not really, but I’m looking forward to a buffet at the local Hilton on the beach. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with food, family, friends, and gratitude. (I couldn’t find a word that started with “f” for that last one.) See you on the Z Nation side on Friday.
