General Hospital

Drew goes home with Kim, who says don’t mind the place; she hasn’t had time to clean. Her apartment is spotless, and Drew asks if she has a poltergeist. There’s no way Oscar did this. She says the cleaners must have come today. They were a gift from Julian.

Brad tells Julian that he’s trying. Julian says, try harder. He used to be good liar, and Lucas will realize something is wrong if he keeps stammering. Brad says Willow thinks Wiley is hers, and he’s supposed to remain calm? Julian says, it changes nothing, but Brad says it does if she wants a relationship with Wiley. Julian tells him, stay away from her. The less she sees Wiley, the less she’ll think about coming forward.

Alexis arrives at Dawn of Day. Kristina is surprised, and Shiloh tells her to give her mother credit. He’s glad Alexis made it. He says, you can’t tie yourself up, if you’re tying up others. I’m not sure if he’s talking about loose ends, being on time, or something kinky, but I already spent too much time thinking about it. He’s excited to get started. With an open mind and some effort, they can learn about each other and themselves.

On the phone, Obrecht tells Valentin the Swiss are known for their patience, but she’s only half Swiss. Her economic situation is simple. She needs income, and he needs Nina. If he sees to it that Obrecht is flush, and Nina will never know Sasha isn’t her daughter. What would really be cool is if Sasha turned out to be her daughter anyway. She finds the other half of the necklace, and…

At the hospital, Franco tells Elizabeth that the library has a parenting section for parents with potentially LGBTQ kids. I’m thinking if any more initials crop up, we’ll really have to think of something new.

Nina, Maxie, and Obrecht meet for dinner at the MetroCourt. Nina says a year ago today, they lost a great man. A son, a brother, a husband. The greatest man she’s ever known. Maxie says it still hurts so much. She’s not there yet, but the pain and sorrow are nothing compared to the joy of having known him. Obrecht says, the time was precious, and they’re better for having had him in their lives. They toast to Nathan.

Ava sees Lucas, and asks about Lulu. He says he can’t discuss it. She says Lulu was attacked be the same person who killed her daughter. She needs to know if Lulu remembers who did it. Lucas says forcing Lulu into remembering would be counterproductive, and the worst thing they could do. Ava says, at least she’s alive. The other victims weren’t so fortunate.

Chase brings in a box, and tells Jordan it’s the last of the material from the LA office. He wants to give it a once-over. He asks if there’s been no breakthrough, and Jordan says, hardly. Nothing makes sense. She’s ready call in a psychic, and asks if he knows any.

Elizabeth thinks it’s great that Franco is diving in head first. Franco says he’s trying to help both Aiden and them. She’s swamped at work, and feels when and if the day comes, they’ll have a conversation with Aiden, but on his terms. Not because they forced the issue. Franco says, ideally, but his classmates already forced the issue.

Kim asks if Drew wants a drink, and he says, if she is. She pours them something. He asks if she wants to talk about Julian, and she says, what’s left to say? She was too busy tending to Oscar, and not their relationship, so Julian decided to sleep with someone else – not Alexis, according to her. At the very least, it means he went ahead and slept with a random person, and dumped her. The end. Drew says he didn’t cancel the cleaning service, and she says, or the meal service, or the tune-up. The garage confirmed it. She doesn’t know what to do. Why doesn’t he stop them? Drew says maybe Julian wishes he hadn’t let her go.

Brad asks why Julian didn’t tell him. Julian says, now that he knows who Willow is, keep a wide berth. Brad says, what if she doesn’t do the same? Julian asks if he and Lucas didn’t agree to an open adoption. Worst case, Wiley has a mother figure. Brad says, except she’s not his mother. Julian asks how she’d know, and Brad says, a DNA test? Julian says, run by who for what reason? Brad says Wiley could get sick, and Julian tells him, the odds are incredibly, insanely small. Lucas appears, and says, is that so?

Alexis tells Shiloh that he has quite a set-up. He says it does the job. Alexis asks what the job is, and Kristina says Shiloh has provided a place for friends and strangers to hang their hats. Alexis asks if he doesn’t charge, and Shiloh says they pay what they can, and make the rest up in service. Everyone works in the community, whether it’s in or out of their doors. He covers the day to day with course fees. He says it’s time to start. Alexis says Kristina didn’t mention there was a fee, but Kristina says it’s free for her. Alexis asks what the course is about, and Kristina says, don’t worry; it’s a good one. Shiloh thanks the group for joining him. He’s excited to be their guide for being one when you’re two: finding yourself in a relationship.

Shiloh guides Kristina and Alexis. He says they’re endlessly, boundlessly connected. It must be double adverb day. Alexis says she agreed to a self-improvement class, but she’s not talking about Julian. Kristina says, there are all kinds of relationships. Kristina was hoping to explore her relationship with Alexis. Alexis says it doesn’t have to be there, but Kristina says it hasn’t worked anywhere else. She thought Alexis would want to explore it too.

Lucas asks Julian what odds they’re discussing, and Julian says the odds of Lucas seeing him holding Wiley. He says Wiley was fussy, Brad took him out for a drive, and stopped for coffee. Julian was supposed to be at the book signing, and his plans changed. Lucas says, and here he is again, but Brad says, it just worked that way. Julian says Ava is lurking around with her boyfriend who used to be her shrink. Julian sees her, and tells Lucas that he knows Lucas can’t cut him some slack, but give his husband a break. Brad did nothing wrong. Julian goes over to Ava.

Valentin tells Peter that he needs a favor. A talented acquaintance has fallen on hard times, and they’d be a good fit at The Invader. Peter asks if his acquaintance has a r. Valentin says she’s known far and wide. It’s Obrecht.

Nina, Maxie, and Obrecht laugh over Nathan stories. Obrecht thinks they should put them in writing; a record of Nathan’s goodness. Nina says she is doing that, as a history for James to remember his father by. She’s not doing it alone. She asked around for stories, and the other day, got an email from someone who told her about a prank in college. Maxie says, stories they don’t know, and Obrecht says, stories they never will know. Nina says they’re not saying that man’s name today. It’s a celebration of Nathan. They’re not dwelling on the past. Obrecht looks at Maxie’s hand, and says she’s lost her wedding ring.

Jordan tells Chase, on one hand, all of the driver’s licenses are missing, and there’s the timing. Chase says that suggests a connection. She says, on the other hand, only two victims fit the pattern. There’s something missing. What kind of person knows three residents of Port Charles, and an LA producer? Chase says, an already established killer.

Elizabeth thanks Franco, gives him a kiss, and goes back to work. His phone rings. He says whatever it is, he didn’t do it. Jordan asks if he’ll meet her at the station anyway. She believes he might have information that could help solve Kiki’s murder. And the others.

Kristina says she’ll go first, and Shiloh tells Alexis to ask her what she wants from the relationship. Alexis asks, and Kristina says, to get along better. Shiloh says, ask again. Alexis does, and Kristina says, to communicate more. He says they’re hardly communicating. Now, ask again. Alexis asks, and Kristina says, not to fight so much. Shiloh asks why they’re fighting. What does she want? Dig deeper. He tells Alexis, ask again, but Alexis says he’s not giving Kristina a chance to answer. He says, ask again, so she does. Kristina says she wants Alexis’s respect. Shiloh says, now they’re getting somewhere.

Julian tells Ava that she can’t jog Lulu’s memory by hanging around. She says she wants to be there when Lulu remembers; he’d do same thing. Julian says avenging Kiki will eventually bite her in the ass, plus cost her the one daughter she has left. He says, for Avery’s sake, find something else to occupy her time. He asks if Doc didn’t want to whisk her away, but she says the timing wasn’t right. Julian is the one who sounds like he needs a vacation. Why doesn’t he take Kim and go? He says they’re not going anywhere. Not with each other anyway.

Kim tells Drew, it would be easier if Julian was a jerk, but he’s been great. Except for the cheating and abandoning. Drew sits down, yowls, and brings a knitting needle out from underneath him. She wondered where that went. She tells him she’s been torturing yarn. He wants to see what she made, and she shows him an infinity scarf, saying it’s hideous. It’s probably better than I’d do.

Peter says Valentin wants him to hire Obrecht? The woman who tortured him for a month, and left him to die in a burning stable? Valentin says he’d be in Peter’s debt, but Peter wonders why incur one from Obrecht? She must have leverage. Something that could take away what’s most important to him. Peter corrects himself, and adds, not what. Who.

Obrecht says Maxie lost her ring. Maxie says Obrecht doesn’t understand. She didn’t lose it. Obrecht says, she took it off?

Elizabeth reads from This Book is Gay, that the suicide rate is triple among gay teens. Lucas and Brad come by. Lucas asks if Elizabeth is okay, and she says she’s taking a break. She drops the book, and Lucas says he knows it. Someone gave it to his mom after he came out. She asks if it was helpful, and he says his mom thought so. Brad asks if one of Elizabeth’s patients is gay. She says, um… and he realizes it’s for her.

Franco arrives at station. Jordan tells him there have been new developments in a connection among the victims. Franco wondered what the TV guy had to do with the others. Jordan wonders if he can tell her. Franco says the way the bodies were arranged – and Chase says, it was artistic. Franco says that would be in the eye of the beholder, but they were dramatic. Franco can’t see what they have in common. Chase says they couldn’t either, but they came across this script. He hands it to Franco, and says the only thing they have in common is him. There’s a notation on the top page that says, talk to Franco.

Maxie says she felt it was time to put her ring away, and Nina says everyone grieves at their own pace in their own time. It’s time to move on. Obrecht doesn’t understand. Is she seeing someone? Maxie says, no; it’s too early. Obrecht says, in other words, yes. She asks if Nina knew, and Nina says she had an inkling. Obrecht wonders why Nina said nothing. Is this payback for trying to open her eyes about Sasha? Maxie wonders what she’s talking about, and Nina says she didn’t give Obrecht a job, and she made vague innuendos about her daughter. Maxie asks why Obrecht would want a job at Crimson, and Obrecht says she’d sooner drop dead than work for her capricious niece. Nina says if she wants to drop dead, go for it, and leaves the table.

Peter asks Valentin, how bad? So bad he lose Nina, Charlotte, or both? Valentin tells Peter not to concern himself with his family. Peter says someone is using leverage to force Valentin to do what he doesn’t want to. Valentin says apparently, he asked too much. Forget about it. Peter says, not likely.

Kim tells Drew that she made the scarf in the wee hours when she couldn’t sleep. They laugh about it, and Drew says it’s a nice change of pace. Kim asks if he ever feels guilty having good time; forgetting about things for the moment. He says, sometimes, but laughing about something is the closest feeling to hope.

Alexis asks how it was for Kristina. She says they’ve talked about potential, and the things that tie you down. She feels like a tie was cut. Alexis asks if she didn’t feel browbeaten, and Kristina says it’s rough being on the spot, but it helped. It bothers Alexis that Kristina thinks she doesn’t respect her. Kristina asks if Alexis thinks she has a perception problem, or she’s imagining it. Alexis says sometimes she gets upset that Kristina isn’t living the life she envisioned for her, and forgets Kristina’s life is hers. What Alexis wants is irrelevant, and it’s what Kristina wants that matters. Shiloh asks how it’s going, and Kristina thinks they achieved a measure of understanding. He asks if Alexis would care to do an examination. Alexis says, no, but thanks for asking. Kristina tells her, at least try. Does she have a relationship that needs work? Alexis says Kristina doesn’t know when to quit, does she?

Ava says Julian told Kim he slept with someone else, and broke up with her? How’s she taking it? He doubts it’s crossed mind. After they parted, Oscar’s prognosis came back. Ava says, and? Julian doesn’t say anything, and she says, that’s awful. He says at least she won’t have him distracting her, and Ava says, how thoughtful; denying Kim support in her hour of need. How selfless to abandon her. How did a man with such good intentions wind up being such an ass?

Kristina tells Alexis that they can work on any relationship she wants, as long as she wants to change it. Alexis says she’s not doing Julian. Kristina says he doesn’t have to know. Shiloh tells them, look your partner in the eye. See her. Let her see you. He tells Kristina to ask the question, and Kristina says, what do you want? Alexis says she doesn’t want a relationship with Julian, and Kristina asks why she still has one then. Why hasn’t she moved on? She hasn’t because she doesn’t want to yet. Kristina continues to ask what Alexis wants, and Alexis finally says she doesn’t want to talk or think about it. Kristina says, if it’s still in her head, it’s not finished. Alexis says what she wants is to be happy, to feel passion, and be in love. She wants to feel like she did with Julian before.

Julian asks Ava if she thinks he made a mistake. She says, yes. Kim is good for him, and he’s shown improvement. He has a real and lasting chance. If he wants to be worthy of his children, grandchildren – and Kim – do what he has to in order to make things right. She leaves.

Kim tells Drew, when she brought Oscar to Port Charles, she wanted him to connect with family. She never realized she’d land one in the process. She says Oscar should be home any minute. Drew doesn’t want Oscar to think they’re ganging up on him. Kim says she’ll talk to him in the morning.

Elizabeth tells Brad and Lucas about the kids bullying Aiden. Lucas says, that’s why they’re picking on him. Brad asks if Aiden has more female friends than male. Lucas asks if he doesn’t like sports, and likes things traditionally girly. Elizabeth says that describes Aiden. Lucas says the main prerequisite is, does he like boys? It took Lucas a long time. He sensed he felt different, but didn’t know for sure until puberty. Even though he was attracted to boys, he didn’t want to be. He played it straight until he couldn’t hide it anymore. Elizabeth asks if things got better after that. Brad says, the getting better part takes a while.

Franco tells Jordan that he has no idea where he was when the murders were committed, and doesn’t know what Peyton knows. Jordan asks why Peyton was keen on speaking to him, but he doesn’t know. Chase says, clearly, Peyton reached out. Franco says he doesn’t answer numbers he doesn’t recognize. They can check his phone records. Then, when they’re done, they can go catch this maniac before he kills someone else.

Nina is back home, and Valentin asks how her evening was. She says, okay; they were talking about Nathan. It helped, until they stopped taking about Nathan. That crashed and burned the evening. He asks, would she like a cocktail… ice cream… Paris? Cocktails and ice cream in Paris? She says there is something he can do. She could use some mother/daughter time. She wants Sasha to come visit.

Maxie takes the check, telling Obrecht, they’ll work things out. They always do. Obrecht says, now that they’re alone, tell her about the new man. Maxie says, it’s nothing. Just a flirtation. It will probably end before it goes anywhere. Obrecht asks who he is, but Maxie suggests they talk about careers. A job at Crimson? Obrecht thought a medical column. Her readers have questions, and she can give honest and innovative solutions, without a medical board to answer to. Maxie thinks Obrecht needs a niche audience. She needs an outlet with expanded access. Obrecht says she wants to share her views and experiences. Maxie thinks she knows just the place. Peter walks in.

Kim straightens up. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Julian. He says, I love you. On New Year’s Eve, when he told her that he slept with someone else, and let her think it was Alexis, there wasn’t anybody else. He made it up because he’s an idiot. He needed to tell her the truth. There’s nobody else. Only her. He walks into the apartment, and says he was jealous. He saw her and Drew kissing, but he also convinced himself that she and Oscar would be better off without him. So he told her something to make her glad to get rid of him. He’s so sorry. He wishes he could take it back. The truth is, he loves her. She made him a better person, and he owed it to the both of them to tell the truth. Now that she knows, she can do or not do what she wants with it. Kim looks confused, and maybe a little panicked.

Alexis says she has to go, but Kristina say they just had a breakthrough. She should stay, and face her darkest fears. She’s sure the process works for a lot of people. Kristina says it works for her daughter, and Alexis says she appreciates that. She loves Kristina, and is proud of her. She does respect Kristina, and asks her to remember that when she gives her cause to forget. Kristina wants to talk about their relationship. Alexis says they will, but not here, and not now. It’s not for her. She leaves the house.

Elizabeth asks, what does she do? Aiden is going through a tough time. Franco thinks maybe they should bring it up themselves. Lucas says it sounds like they’re on top of it. His parents weren’t. He tells her, create a safe environment, so he’ll speak when he’s ready. Brad suggests she invite them over for dinner. Lucas thinks that’s a good idea. Let Aiden see her gay friends, and see they accept people for who they are, not just him. Her friends and family have her back. Lucas hugs her, saying, so does Franco. She’s got this.

Chase tells Jordan that Peyton called Franco, but he didn’t pick up. Jordan thanks Franco for his time. Franco asks if they’re done, and she says, for now. He says, next time she wants to question him, she can talk to his lawyer. He leaves, and Chase says, fun guy. With his history, no wonder she wants to nail down his whereabouts during the other murders. Jordan says during his last brush with the law, Jim Harvey was shot. She says he’s one of Doc’s patients, and wonders if Franco is still seeing him. Chase says Doc can’t discuss what Franco tells him, but Jordan says he can if it’s possible he committed a crime. Chase wonders, if that was the case, why Doc wouldn’t have come forward. Jordan tells him to set up a meeting. If anyone knows whether Franco is capable of murder, it would be his psychiatrist. Please. Don’t tell me Ryan is going to try and pin the murders on Franco and leave town. I can’t stand it.

Tomorrow, Ava asks Olivia to work her magic, Carly asks Kim if Drew was there, and Lulu screams no, no, no!

👜 🔪 Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry was the setting for Top Chef this week. For the Quickfire Challenge, the chefs had to make a dish for a Grammy winning country star, using riders – basically preference sheets – that indicate what the star and their staff would like foodwise. The star’s name wasn’t revealed until after the dishes were complete, It was singer Hunter Hayes, whose music I have no clue about, but he used terms like flavor profile, so it seems he’s no stranger to the culinary arts. Adrienne wasn’t well, but won the challenge anyway, enticing Hunter with red meat. For her efforts, she received an extra hour to complete the next challenge. The Elimination Challenge had the chefs creating a dish based on a music memory. The judges were the people responsible for the Music City Food and Wine Festival, and included the lead singer from Kings of Leon. His wife, model Lily Aldridge, was also at the dinner. I knew who she was right away, since she was on an episode of 2 Broke Girls. My reference point for too many things. Justin dropped a plate, so wasn’t eligible to win. Tom said we learn a lot about ourselves with cooking. I’ve learned that when I want to eat, it’s quicker and less labor intensive to use the microwave. Michelle won the challenge, but I wasn’t sure if she was getting a bit of a sympathy vote, since she talked about her father’s suicide and everyone cried. David had to pack his knives and go, because his dish was overly salty, and they didn’t even know what was going on with it. It involved puffed rice, which rubbed the judges the wrong way. David was proud of his performance, and hoped to set a good example for his son. The show was dedicated to Fatima Ali, a Top Chef contestant who recently passed away. Next time, chefs in a gymnasium, and a conflict over boxed waffles.

General Hospital

Sam sees Jason in the water, floating face down. She dives in

Marcus meets Curtis at Kelly’s, and asks what Curtis wants to talk to him about. Curtis says, Aunt Stella.

Mike and Stella walk into Sonny’s house. Mike says he didn’t know he liked Bingo so much. Stella thinks he likes Bingo with Yvonne. He asks if she saw the look on Yvonne’s face when she won. She has the best smile this side of the equator. He says Stella has a good one too. She asks what he’d like to do, and he says, about what? She tells him that his caretaker is on a break, and she promised Milo she’d stay with him. He wonders who Milo is, and she reminds him that he’s one of Sonny’s guards. She says they can hang out until his caretaker comes back. Mike says he has to get the last bus home. His parents will be worried sick.

Aiden, Jake, and Franco come home, laden with shopping bags. Aiden says, it was amazing, and Franco says, amazing prices. Aiden asks if they can bake something; the cupcake recipe looks good. Jake says their mom will kill them if she comes home and they’re still up. Franco says, that doesn’t sound like her, and Jake asks if he’s met her. Franco tells him to look at his brother’s face; he’s so happy. How could their mom be mad at a face like that? Jake suggests they get their bake on.

Kim tells Oscar that he has to stay in the hospital overnight for observation. He says, nothing happened, but she says he had a seizure. He tells her, it’s over, and Josslyn was more traumatized than he was. She totally stepped up. She says, it’s his turn. She knows he doesn’t want to stay, but he’s going to. Do it for Josslyn.

Carly hasn’t heard from Jason, and says he has to be fine. Josslyn says he’d better be. He saved her life.

Sam surfaces, and dives again. This time, she brings Jason up, and drags him toward the pier. He comes to, and pulls himself up, with Sam helping. I think about how cold he must be.

Stella tells Mike, it’s too late to catch the bus. She’ll call his parents, and tell them it’s best if he spends the night. Sonny and Carly have his favorite foods, and a room just for him. He says he didn’t like long bus ride anyway, and being so far from Yvonne. Stella says things must be good with them, and he says, especially since that man’s not getting in the way. She says, that man has s name; Marcus. He made an enormous sacrifice for his wife. Mike says, he gave her up? and Stella says, he did. Just like she gave Marcus up a long time ago.

Curtis tells Marcus that Aunt Stella would have his hide if she knew he reached out. He can’t stand that she’s suffering. He feels bad about how things went down at Turning Woods; she thinks she ruined the friendship. Marcus says if anyone did, it was him. She did nothing wrong.

Jake asks if can help decorate. Aiden says they’re doing flowers with the Russian piping tips Franco bought. If they do it right, it will look like a bouquet. Jake tastes the batter, and says, amazing. Franco tastes it, and says, dude, you’re a genius. He applauds, and says the chef should take a bow.

Carly tells Josslyn that Jason probably lost his phone in all the excitement. Josslyn says, it was stupid. What was she thinking, going to the catacombs, at night no less, when they’re closed off? Oscar wanted to go. Carly gets it; Josslyn wants Oscar to live life to the fullest. Sonny says she has to be careful. Josslyn says, now she put Jason in danger too. Carly says Josslyn knows what it’s like to lose a family member in an accident, and Sonny says she has to be aware, and not take risks. Carly tells her, going on an adventure is one thing; putting herself in danger is another. Josslyn says she’s really sorry, and Sonny holds her.

Sam asks if Jason is okay. He thinks so. She tells him that Spinelli accessed the records, and found out the aqueduct came out there. Jason says, it was so cold in the water. By the time he got there, he could barely move his arms. She says he popped up for a second, so she knew he was there. She guesses she owed him one.

Jason calls Carly, saying he’s fine. He found a way out. It’s all good. Carly asks if someone is with him, and he says Sam is there. He asks how Josslyn is, and Carly says, fine. Oscar has to stay the night for observation, but it didn’t seem to do him any harm. Carly asks him to promise he’s not dying; the kids are all right because of him. He promises, and she tells him, put Sam on. Sam says, he’s not dying, and Carly asks if she’s sure he’s okay. Sam says he’s a little banged up, and they’re both cold, but he’ll make it. Carly tells Sam to take care of him, and Sam says she thought she’d leave him out by the pier. Carly doesn’t really think that’s funny, and Sam says she will, even if she has to take him to the hospital. Carly wants an update later.

Carly tells Sonny and Josslyn that Jason is okay. Sonny asks, what happened? and Carly says Jason got stuck, but found a way to swim out. Sonny asks if he’s coming to the hospital, but Carly says that’s a hard no. Josslyn asks Elizabeth how Oscar is doing, and Elizabeth says, great, but he’ll be even better after a visit from her. Carly tells her, go, but they have to leave soon. Elizabeth says she’s clocking out herself. Carly and Sonny hug.

Aiden mixes colors. Jake says he’s an artist too. Franco thinks he should bring the cupcakes to school, but Jake says it’s not a good idea. Franco asks, why? and Jake says the school is getting crazy about what they bring in. The sugar will make them bounce off the walls. Franco says, Aiden made three dozen cookies for the bake sale. Bouncing off the walls is a guarantee. Aiden says, five minutes to go. Franco says they’re going to bed. They can frost the cupcakes in the morning. The boys go upstairs.

Sam tells Jason his ribs are probably bruised, and he has hypothermia. He needs to see a doctor. He says he doesn’t like hospitals, and she says, nobody does, but let them take a look. He tells her, not tonight, and she says, fine. He says she doesn’t have to watch over him, and tells her to go home and take a hot shower. She says he’s out of his mind. He’s coming home with her.

Elizabeth comes home, and asks, what smells so good? Franco says, cupcakes, and she asks if he baked. He asks if she wants the good news or bad news first, and she says, bad. He says, the bad news is the boys went to bed ten minutes ago. The good news is, Aiden had the best time baking the cupcakes, and Jake was helping. It’s a night he’ll never forget. Aiden was wildly enthusiastic, and wants to bring the cupcakes to school. Jake appears, and says they can’t let him do that.

Marcus tells Curtis, Stella did nothing wrong. He was too hard on her; she was only trying help. But he was freeing his wife up to find happiness with another man, and he lashed out. He was desperate to blame anyone for the illness. Curtis says the illness affects Marcus too, but Marcus says, that’s no excuse to blame her. She’s the best woman. Curtis doesn’t understand. Marcus and Stella are both loyal and genuine. What went wrong?

Stella sets up a card game, telling Mike that she used to play it with her fiancé. He asks if she’s getting married, but she says it was way back; they never made it. He asks if the bozo left her high and dry, but she says he was wonderful. She was afraid he’d have regrets, so she ended things and never looked back. She thought they’d reconnect, but royally screwed it up. Mike asks her to refresh his memory. Who are they talking about> She says, no one; sorry. They play cards.

Kim understands Oscar’s motivation, but it’s not okay. She says they need to discuss how this looks moving forward. Josslyn comes in, saying she wants to tell Oscar goodnight. Kim says she’ll be outside. Oscar tells Josslyn that her timing is literally perfect. He was just about to get a lecture. Josslyn says she got the same thing from her mom and Sonny, but they’re not wrong. She wants to do everything on the list, but they need to be smarter. He says she’s probably right. She says, probably? and he says, she’s right. She tells him Jason is okay, and Oscar says he’s doing better. He feels pretty good, except for one thing. She asks if he wants her to get a nurse, but he says, not unless she wants him to kiss the nurse instead.

At Sam’s house, she asks how Jason feels. He thinks he’s warming up. She gives him some brandy, and he says he’ll drink it if she takes a shower; she was in the water too. She says she was in a wetsuit. She’d rather go downstairs, and make something warm to eat. He asks what she’s making, and she says chicken tenders and broccoli with cheese sauce; microwave food. He tells her, wait. She’s still cold. She can take a shower on her own, or he can carry her into the shower. She tells him, drink the brandy, and goes to the shower. He drinks.

Elizabeth asks Jake why Aiden can’t bring the cupcakes to school. He says the kids are already teasing Aiden. It’s the last thing he needs; they’ll make fun of him. They’re setting him up to get hurt. He says Franco teaches art therapy; why doesn’t he know this stuff? Franco says, clearly, Jake has to walk them through it. Elizabeth says they thought it was better. Charlotte isn’t picking on Aiden anymore. Jake says, it started with her, but it’s way worse. Elizabeth asks, how much worse? Jake shows them a message on the laptop, and says, they’re calling him Gayden.

Marcus tells Curtis that he had a job offer in San Francisco. They were making plans, but after Curtis’s father’s funeral, she broke the engagement. She was setting him free. No discussion; no options. She was moving in with her sister, and helping out. If he’d died a year later, it would have been different. They would have been married, and figured out how to deal with it together. Curtis says, instead, he died, and Stella decided for both of them.

Carly, Josslyn, and Sonny return home. Mike calls Josslyn Mary, and asks if she want play stickball tomorrow. She asks Sonny if it’s okay, and Mike says, after school, and they’ll do their homework first. Sonny doesn’t see why not. Josslyn tells Carly that she’s exhausted, and Carly asks Mike if he’s tired. He is, and Josslyn says she’ll show him to his room. He says, thank you, Mary. They go upstairs, and Carly tells Stella that Mike has started calling Josslyn Mary. Stella asks, who’s Mary? but Sonny’s not sure. He thinks it’s some girl from the old neighborhood. Stella says that kind of confusion isn’t uncommon, but she didn’t realize it was a regular occurrence. Sonny says it’s not, but Carly says he’s been doing it more frequently. Stella says, everybody looks good, and she’ll see them soon. Carly thanks her. After she leaves, Sonny asks if Carly herd what wasn’t said. He did. It’s time, isn’t it? I tear up.

Sam and Jason clink glasses in front of the fireplace. Sam takes a bite of a grilled cheese sandwich – that looks so good – and she says, it’s delicious. No wonder Danny loves spending the night with him. Jason says he loves having Danny there. Sam asks what he’s going to tell Danny about today. He asks what she means, and she says, mommy saved daddy’s back. He says, that’s a small part of the story, but she says she rescued him. He says, yes she did. She tells him to pinch her. She can’t tell him how many times she went to bed and dreamed of a different ending the night he disappeared. She’d gone into the water to look for him, but couldn’t’ find him, and she would dream that she rescued him, pulled him out, and he was there with her. Then she’d wake up, and he wouldn’t be there. He says he’s there now, and thanks her for saving him. They kiss.

Elizabeth wonders why kids are so mean. Jake says, if Aiden brings in purple cupcakes he made, they’ll tease him more. He was so excited – Elizabeth should have seen him. If he brings the cupcakes in, it will ruin all that. Elizabeth tells Jake he’s a good big brother. He’s trying hard protect Aiden, but he can’t always fight Aiden’s battles for him. Jake asks what he should do, and Elizabeth says, be there for him; look out for him. If he’s alone on the playground, play with him. Franco says, maybe Jake is right, but Elizabeth says, if they discourage him from being proud, they’ll discourage him from being himself, and they don’t want that. Jake doesn’t either. Elizabeth tells Jake that she loves him so much. It’s sad Aiden is going through a rough time, but it will get better. They’ll love him through it. She tells Jake, go upstairs, and follows. Franco looks at the laptop, and sees the message that calls Aiden Gayden.

Kim tells Oscar, they need to chat. Oscar knows what he did was stupid beyond stupid. She understands why he did it. He has a terminal diagnosis, and has the right to live the way he wants to while he can, but that’s not the same as risking his life – or someone else’s. She tells him, think about Josslyn, and do what he thinks she would want. He gets it, and says they talked about it. They won’t pull anymore stunts. But he is going to explore, take chances, and push limits. He doesn’t want to have any regrets. Kim doesn’t want him to have regrets either. They hug.

Curtis asks Marcus why he didn’t put up a fight. Marcus says partly because he was hurt, but partly because he knew her. Curtis has known her all his life. When she makes up her mind, you can’t change it. Curtis says, especially when it comes to family. Marcus says, then he found Yvonne. It was a happy marriage. His aunt was more an unanswered question. He was grateful in a way. If Stella hadn’t left him, he never would have met Yvonne, and he wouldn’t trade his life for anything. He imagines Stella feels the same way, raising him and his brother. Curtis says, life is crazy, and Marcus says he’s glad they had Stella. She did a phenomenal job raising him. Make sure to tell her. Curtis says he could tell her himself. Marcus says, goodnight.

Sonny tells Carly when Stella was talking, he knew his dad’s best life was not there with him anymore. He doesn’t care how much money he spends or people he hires. Mike is better off at the facility with Yvonne. He’s happier there than at home. He sees Mike happy. His eyes light up, and his mind is better. Carly says he remembers more there than he does at home. Sonny says, so that’s it? He lets Mike go? Carly asks if he’s ready to do that, and Sonny says, it would be selfish to keep him there. That’s not how he wants it to end.

Jason asks if this is okay, and Sam says, perfect. They get busy, and there’s a song part.

Franco asks what Elizabeth is thinking. She asks what he’s thinking. Franco says, does she think Aiden is gay, but she doesn’t know. He asks, would it surprise her? and she says, no. It’s been something in the back of her mind, but it’s the first time she’s said it out loud. And it’s not because he’s falling in love with baking. She wonders if this is something he’ll discover about himself. Franco says, if it happens, they’ll be there every step of way.

Stella sees Curtis at Kelly’s. He says, a minute earlier, she would have run into Marcus too. She asks if they talked, and he says they did. He has a question for her, but she says, another time, please. He asks if she’s okay, and she says, fine. He tells her, be real with him. She says she just came from Mike, and she’s sensing next time he sees her, he won’t know who she is. The disease just takes. Curtis asks if he can get her some tea. She says he was on his way out, but he says, is she kidding? He always has time for her. He takes her hand.

Sonny tells Carly, it feels so final; like admitting defeat. Carly says, no. It’s just the opposite. He knew before this started that his father wouldn’t have wanted any of them to see him fade away. He had so much dignity. Sonny says, out of the love he has for the father he remembers… he has to let him go. At this point, I grab a tissue. He says, but he’ll need her help, because saying it is one thing, and living through it scares the hell out of him. She says she’s there with him, beside him, wherever he needs her to be. She’s not going anywhere. She hugs him, and we see a picture of Sonny and Mike with the Luke’s sign behind them from the Nurses’ Ball.

Sam and Jason bask in the afterglow. He says he loves her, and he’s missed her. Sam loves him, and missed him too.

Tomorrow, Laura tells Lulu to wake up, Robert makes an appearance, and Ava asks not-Doc if he can see anything.

🔪 Captain Lee and Captain Sandy weren’t so much drivers as guests on tonight’s Top Chef. The captains greeted the chefs, who were split into teams, and showed them their respective galleys – which were family-style, and way too small, but still bigger than my kitchen. Captain Lee put a new spin on his usual, let’s get your/the party started, and told the contestants, get your stuff, get on board, and get after it. The teams threw houseboat parties on Lake Cumberland, with Emeril Lagasse being the guest judge. Brian’s pork fell apart (not a euphemism), which caused him to gripe that he didn’t get much sleep the night before, and basically blame the others for not having his back. I’m not sure what he wanted them to do. Hold it together with toothpicks? I didn’t mind seeing him pack his knives and go. He was proud of the way he competed, which is a nice way to go out, but he got more annoying as the season went on, and was starting to remind me of Colt on 90 Day Fiancé. Next time, the chefs go to Nashville.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

I knew my on-time streak was too good to be true. I missed the beginning.

At Nathan’s grave, Maxie reads Yankee news to Nathan. She says, it must be hard, watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees. She’s sorry she didn’t break the news sooner. She probably shouldn’t do it today, their anniversary, but some secrets just don’t keep.

Charlotte asks Valentin if mommy is still mad about Aiden. Valentin says, not in the slightest. Charlotte says mommy told her it’s important to stick to the schedule, and Valentin says, unfortunately, the schedule had to be rearranged. Mommy’s been hurt.

Jordan tells Laura that detectives are coming the MetroCourt and surrounding area, and talking to guests and employees. They’ve gathered all the security footage, and they have several pieces of evidence. She asks how she should handle the press, and Laura asks if they’re pressuring her. Jordan says, not yet, but it’s only a matter of time. Laura tells her to stick to saying there’s an active investigation going on. In the meantime, she’ll craft an appropriate statement. She asks what the police know about this guy.

Anna tells Finn that she and Doc have some mutual friends, and he’s helped her a couple of times over the years. Finn asks if she ever worked directly with him, and she says she saw him a couple of times as a patient, but he referred her to Andre. She tells Finn the WSB is large; he could have been contracted for research on an operation. She asks if he thinks what Doc has is connected to her virus, and Finn says the results will be there any minute. If it is the same virus, it’s one more piece of the puzzle.

Ava tells not-Doc that he was talking in his sleep about Lulu. It’s understandable, given what happened. Not-Doc says, she’s gone? Poor Laura. Ava says, she’s alive, and still in surgery. He says, so she still may succumb, but Ava says, she still has a fighting chance; not like Kiki. She hopes Lulu makes it, so the bastard who did this won’t claim another victim.

Sam calls to Jason. She can’t see him. We hear sirens. She looks around for something she can use, and finds a roll of cable. A fireman arrives, and says they got word a man is trapped in the cellar. Sam says they have to get him out. She can’t hear him. Underground, Jason looks around with a flashlight. He calls to Sam, and asks if anyone can hear him. There’s no answer, and he says, okay. Somebody built this place so there’s got to be a way out. He sees a grate.

Maxie tells Nathan, James growing up fast. He’s strong and independent, like him. She’s learning a lot from him. How to stand on her own two feet again, and let new people in her life. There’s something else she needs to tell him. She’s getting closer to his brother. He came to town in a bad way, and made terrible decisions, but in spite of that, he’s a really good person. The thing is, she wouldn’t mind getting to know him better, but she keeps coming up with reasons not to let him in her life. She knows Nathan would want her to move on and be happy, but how can she do that? The only reason she was able to go on was James, and she’s scared to let someone in; to care again. She asks him to give her a sign. She adds, if he could get someone up there to create a waterproof mascara… Peter is behind her. He says he can’t help with the makeup, but will this do? He hands her his hanky.

Nina tells Charlotte that mommy is in the hospital, but has the best doctors. Charlotte wants to see her, but Valentin says she can’t right now. Mommy needs to rest, and have no distractions. Charlotte says she’s not a distraction. Mommy says she’s her luck charm, and she needs to see her. She begs, saying mommy needs her.

Jordan tells Laura that they couldn’t extract any tissue from under Lulu’s nails, but Laura knows she would fight back. Jordan says they have the knife, and they’re checking for prints. They also have a partial shoe print they believe belonged to the assailant. It appears to be a man’s shoe, but there’s nothing unique about it. Something stood out in the position though. Lulu left a blood trail, and the shoe print isn’t angled as it should be. It’s possible the killer got distracted, not realizing Lulu was still alive. Maybe she defended herself, wounded him, and got away. They’ve notified the ER to be on the lookout for someone who’s injured. So far there’s nothing.

Not-Doc asks Ava, what’s taking the doctors so long? What are they looking for?  Anna and Finn come in, and Ava asks what they’re doing there. Not-Doc asks who she’s talking to. Finn says it’s him and Anna. Not-Doc says he’s an infectious disease specialist, and Anna is a WSB agent. Anna says she had a temporary loss of vision that turned out to be from a viral infection. Ava says, she got her sight back? Which is kind of a stupid question, since obviously Anna can see. Anna says, yes, and she asks if they think it’s the same virus. Finn says they’ll know when they get the lab results back. They need to ask him a few questions. Anna asks if he’s ever worked for the WSB or the DVX.

Sam tells the fireman that she tried to give Jason her hand, but he wouldn’t take it. The fireman says he might have dragged her down too. She says she used her phone light, but couldn’t see him. The hole is too deep.

Jason looks through the grate. Water is pouring in. He pulls at the grate but it’s not budging.

Sam paces up above. The fireman says, sorry for the delay. There was a break in the floor; the planks are rotted. It looks like he fell though. He tells Sam the area is too deep to access. They’ll have to use special equipment, which they’re coordinating. The best case would be five or six hours. There’s a network of tunnels, some dating back to the 1800s. They have to do a detailed search. Sam thanks him. She steps away, and calls Spinelli. He asks if something is wrong, and she says she needs help. She wants him to look into the Port Charles engineering records, or the records from the water department. He asks what he’s looking for, and she says, the tunnels under Port Charles.

Maxie says this isn’t the first time, and asks how Peter manages to have an ample supply of hankies. He says he’s not keeping tabs, and asks why she’s out alone with everything going on. She says she’s safe with Nathan, and asks him why he’s out. He says he comes there from time to time, to talk to his brother. Maxie says she does too. She asks Peter if Nathan ever talks back, and he says, not yet. How about to her? She says, all the time. In the wind, a sudden ray of sunshine. She mostly hears his voice in her head. She knows Nathan so well; she knows what he’d say and how he’d say it. She told him about the Yankees. Peter says, tough. She says just when she thinks she’s through the worst of the grief, it knocks her flat, like a tidal wave. She guesses it never ends. He says, probably not, but in time, it will be less like the ocean, and something she can wade back into, like a tide. She asks, when? and he says, whenever Nathan tells her it’s okay to let it go.

Charlotte says mommy will feel better if she sees her. Valentin needs her take to the hospital. He tells her he will, but she has to be brave, and do what the doctors say. Charlotte asks if she can get mommy a scone, and Valentin tells her to pick some out. When she leaves the table, Nina says she understands why, but does he think it’s wise? Seeing Lulu hooked up to machines could be traumatic. Valentin is doesn’t think it’s of concern unless it’s to say goodbye. Nina says she likes Lulu; she respects her. Tell Lulu she’s praying for her. She’s not coming because she’d just be in the way. She wants Charlotte to focus on her mother. Charlotte comes back with a bag of scones, and Nina explains that she’s going to let Charlotte spend time with mommy. She’ll be waiting at home. Charlotte is glad she moved back. It makes everything better.

Not-Doc says he wasn’t a spy. Why the interrogation? Finn says, it’s hardly an interrogation. Anna says they want answers, and thinks he would too. Wouldn’t he want to know where and when he picked it up? He says he can’t recall coming into contact with any agent except her. He’s a simple psychiatrist. She asks if he ever met Arthur Cabot, and he says he’s afraid not. He tells them he’s feeling dizzy. Finn checks his eyes, and says, prior to the onset, he experienced an acute headache. Does he remember what he was doing? Not-Doc flashes back to attacking Lulu. He says, nothing out of the ordinary. Finn asks if he came in contact with any foreign substances; maybe an object. Not-Doc flashes back to holding Lulu’s driver’s license, and says, nothing he can think of. We see his coat on a chair.

Sonny says, no one should jump to conclusions, but does it look like the same person who killed Kiki and Mary Pat? Jordan says it does, and he asks if they have proof. She says, there are certain indicators, but it’s privileged information, and she can’t talks in front of Sonny. He makes himself scarce, and Laura asks what she has.

Not-Doc says the dizziness is better, but he’s getting tired. Ava says he’s too polite. It’s been quite stressful. Finn says he’ll see about the lab work, and have a nurse check not-Doc’s vitals. Not-Doc says he’d rather get some rest. Ava can keep an eye on him. Finn says he’ll be back with the results. He and Anna leave, and Ava asks what that was all about. Not-Doc says he has no idea. He asks if she’ll get him some herbal tea; it might help him relax. He asks where his coat is, and she says, on the chair. He wonders if she’d mind getting information about Lulu. As soon as she leaves, he gets up.

Jordan says the wounds are almost identical. The killer was aiming for the heart with surgical precision. He’s someone familiar with human anatomy. Laura asks if there’s anything else, and Jordan says, Lulu’s driver’s license was missing.

Doc gets up, and stumbles. He crawls to the chair, and feels around until he finds his coat. He gets Lulu’s driver’s license out of the pocket, but drops it.

Sonny asks Laura if she’s okay. Laura says she’s been briefed. It was the serial killer who attacked Lulu. Jordan says she’ll call when she knows more. Laura tells Jordan that she needs Lulu’s cell phone to see if she can contact Dante. Jordan says she can’t return it yet. Sonny says they need to check the calls, and asks if all the communication is accounted for. Jordan says, all but one. Whoever she spoke to before the attack.

Anna tells Finn that she doesn’t think she and Doc have barely spoken in the last ten years, let alone the last ten months. How is it possible he contracted the same thing she had within days? Finn says it’s another piece of the puzzle. He sees the lab results are in. Anna goes to Laura, and hugs her. She asks if there’s anything she can do to help the investigation. Sonny asks if she happens to know where her son is?

Maxie tells Peter, everyone says let go, move on, but no one tells you how to do it. He says, it doesn’t mean erasing Nathan’s memory. She says, no; just betraying it. He says it’s not a betrayal to be happy. In a sense, it would honor him. He loved selflessly, and would want her to find happiness; whatever that means to her. She cries, and he says he’d give her a hanky, but she already has it. He asks what Nathan is saying now, but she says, nothing. She can’t hear him. Nina shows up, saying she’s been trying to get ahold of Maxie, but then remembered the date, and thought she might be there. Maxie asks what’s wrong, and Nina says, Lulu was attacked.

Not-Doc feels around on the floor, panicking. He finally finds Lulu’s license under the bed. Ava walks in, and asks, what happened? Is he all right?

The grate hangs open. Sam tells Spinelli that the firefighter said the floor is broken. Jason fell through. Spinelli tells her all the floors are eight feet above surface level, and she tells him they said it was too deep to access. He says the distillery is located over the old water system, and leads to the harbor, but the documents he’s looking at are from 1910. He believes it lets out near Pier 55.

Alone at Nathan’s grave, Nina says Maxie already told him the Yankees lost. Next year. There’s  good news too. James is amazing; he’s the light of her life, and so much like Nathan. Maxie is incredible with him. His mom is back in town. They’re fighting, but she dotes on James. A lot is happening that’s confusing in her life. She misses him. She leaves a couple of quarters on the headstone, in case someone needs it. She says Maxie misses him too. She’s thinks Maxie is moving on, but Nina doesn’t hold it against her. She knows Nathan never would.

Jordan tells Anna that Lulu was attacked in her office, and Peter was the last person who called. She’d like to question him. Anna asks if she thinks he had something to do with it, but Jordan says she doesn’t know until she questions him. Anna says, he had nothing to do with this. Sonny says he kept Jason prisoner for five years, chased after him from Russia, and he kept Jason’s identity hidden. Jordan says the sooner he comes in, the sooner they can exonerate him. Anna says, he’s far from perfect, but he’s not a serial killer. Jordan says the sooner they can eliminate him as a suspect, the better.

Laura sees Valentin come into the hospital with Charlotte. She asks why Charlotte is out so late. Valentin says he assumed Lulu isn’t allowed visitors, but Charlotte insisted. Laura tells Charlotte that her mommy is with the doctors, and can’t see her right now. Charlotte says they’ll wait until they can, but Laura says, it might go on a long time. It’s best for her to go home with her dad. Charlotte says mommy needs see her, so she can tell her it’s okay. Laura says, it’s going to be okay. She knows because Charlotte’s mommy was in the hospital when she was a tiny baby. She was very sick, and got better against all the odds. That’s how Laura knew she was a fighter, and won’t let anyone or anything beat her. Charlotte bets she learned it from Laura, but Laura thinks she learned it from Lulu. And when she’s better, Charlotte will learn it too.

Maxie and Peter run into the hospital. Anna tells Peter that Jordan is looking for him. He says he saw messages, but just wanted to get them there. What is it about? Jordan asks him to come to the station to answer questions, but he says he’s not going anywhere until he knows Lulu is all right. Jordan says she needs an account of their phone conversation, and his whereabouts for the last four hours.

Not-Doc tells Ava that he wanted to turn on the TV, and couldn’t find the remote. Ava was going to see about Lulu, but doesn’t don’t want leave him alone. He says he’s just clumsy. Ava wants to support him the way he did her. He says no one has cared like her. There are a few well-intentioned people, but he doesn’t feel about them the way he does about her. He tells her, don’t forget that – whatever may come. She kisses him. Finn walks in, saying he’s sorry to interrupt. He has the lab results, and some answers.

Valentin and Charlotte start to leave, and Charlotte runs back, giving Laura the scones. Laura promises to give them to Lulu as soon as she sees her. Valentin thanks her. Laura sits, taking a deep breath. Sonny asks how she’s holding up. She says, it’s been a long night, and wonders why the doctors won’t tell her anything.

Peter tells Jordan that he went to Lucy’s book party, and went for a walk. Unfortunately, there’s no one to corroborate that. She says he made a phone call to Lulu. He says it was about her story angle; he wasn’t going to run it. She wanted to publish privileged information. Jordan asks how she reacted, and he says, she wasn’t happy. Jordan asks if she argued, and he says, she tried, but he shut it down; one of the perks of being a publisher. Jordan wonders if he wanted to make it clear what happens when he doesn’t get his way. Really? They think it might be Peter? Come on.

Finn tells not-Doc that his blindness can be fixed by surgery. Not-Doc asks if he knows what caused it, and he says the same virus Anna had.

Dr. Lacey tells Laura that Lulu is in recovery. The wound was severe, but clean, and they were able to repair the damage. Barring any complications, she’ll make a full recovery. Laura thanks him, and hugs Sonny.

Finn tells not-Doc that Monica knew of his concern. Lulu is out of the OR, and expected to make a full recovery. He says, wonderful news, but his face is too funny. His face is saying, omg, I’m screwed.

Sam goes to the pier. She sees Jason in the water, and dives in.

Tomorrow, Oscar wants no regrets, Curtis talks to Marcus, and Sonny is baffled that they’re letting someone go.

✈ On The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa wanted to approach her mother about the extra sister that was somewhere out there, according to a medium. She, and the two sisters she knows for sure she has, took their mom out to dinner. Melissa told her the medium said she didn’t have two sisters; she has three. Her mother was pretty blasé about it, and it wasn’t the booze they’d plied her with. She really didn’t seem to care all that much, although she joked that she’d welcome the new sister, but go after her whore of a mother. Marge had a focus group of kids help her with designing the new hospital robes for children, and planned her gala to raise funds for the same.

Former Mr. New Jersey, Frank, continued to help Teresa getting ready for her competition. Teresa wondered if living with Frank wasn’t holding Delores back from a love life. Gee, ya think? She couldn’t believe how much time and effort had been put into the competition, thinking it was crazy for two minutes on stage. Frank Jr. also competed in the Junior Men’s division. Teresa looked fabulous, and got third place. Delores said she felt like a parent to both of them. Teresa said the experience changed her. For the first time, she did something completely for herself. She decided she liked the lifestyle of clean eating and working out, and wanted to keep it going. This didn’t stop her from indulging in tequila on the girls’ trip, since afterwards, it was fun in the sun in Cabo. That’s one thing Danielle has going for her. The face she makes when she even hears the word tequila is exactly how I feel when I hear it.

The ladies chipped in for a $2K necklace that Marge gave Teresa at their first dinner in Mexico. It’s was beautiful, a gold bar (love bar jewelry!) with the word strong in diamonds. Jennifer made a weird stink about it at dinner because her brother is a jeweler and they didn’t use him. I have the feeling that one shouldn’t drink. The second she gets a cocktail in her, she exhibits bizarre behavior. She called Marge ugly, and when Marge said she had bad manners, Jennifer said she did and owned it. Marge gave it back, and Jennifer lost her appetite. Danielle and Teresa followed her out, with Danielle backing her up all the way for being nasty to Marge. Admittedly, what Marge said was pretty immature – that Jennifer’s lip liner made her mouth look like a monkey’s a-hole – but, Jennifer did start it. (I know you are, but what am I?) Again, keep her away from the booze. She gets way out of line, even though she claimed to be on point like nobody’s business. I don’t even know what that means. BTW, Jennifer’s little girl, Olivia – the same one that screeched at her on FaceTime when she was away for a weekend – wailed at her in person this time, demanding Jennifer not leave the family. My Lord, that kid is cruising for some sort of attachment disorder. Next time, more Mexico, a camel ride, and a drink is thrown. Best quote tonight: There’s no rest for the Marge.

General Hospital

Due to a mini-emergency beyond my control, I miss the beginning. Why this stuff has to happen as it’s nearing 3 o’clock is beyond me, but that’s always when there’s breaking news or a press conference, or the government has something to say too. It’s a conspiracy. Moving on…

Lucy thanks everyone for coming. She says her security detail is there to assist the PCPD to protect them from the worst serial killer since Felicia, her bestie and fellow push-up bra lover, inadvertently brought Ryan to Port Charles. It’s all in her book, which she’s going to read from. She asks Felicia when Doc is going to show up, and Felicia says she keeps his schedule in her other bra. Mac suggests having some of the signature cocktails he’s whipped up.

Nina wants Maxie to be honest, and Maxie tells her to remember she asked for it. Peter brings over some cocktails, but Maxie says she needs to talk to Nina, so he finds somewhere else to be. Maxie says she can’t tell Nina what to do, but she should follow her heart. Nina says if they opened her chest, her heart would be wearing a dunce cap. Maxie says, whatever Nina’s answer is to Valentin, they’ll always be family.

At the podium, Lucy says she wanted to dedicate the evening to her top investor, but he hasn’t arrived yet. In lieu of that, she’ll read the first passage about Port Charles’s most iconic citizen, Sonny Corinthos. She reads about Sonny’s attraction to strong women.

Sonny tells Carly that he doesn’t need a shrink. She says they need professional advice. He says that’s why he’s got caregivers. They just had a bad day. Carly says, it wasn’t a bad day; Mike punched Sonny in the face, thinking he was a stranger trying to rip him off. Sonny says Mike still has good days, but Carly says, the good days are becoming less. Sonny tells her, when he left Mike, he seemed calm and lucid. Carly asks how long he thinks that will last. Mike is getting worse, and will continue to get worse until there are no more good days. Sonny asks if she can’t she see things from his point of view. She knows he wants to repair the damage, and make peace out of the hurt and anger. She gets it, but ignoring this helps no one, least of all Mike. She doesn’t know what to do, but he doesn’t either. That’s why she wants to talk to Doc.

Not-Doc hears someone at the office door. It’s Ava, and he says he told her that he had appointments, but she thought she’d check in. She asks if he’s spoken to Sonny and Carly about allowing Avery out of the country. He says they’re meeting in a few minutes, and she says, perfect. She’ll join them. He says, actually… and she says she’s not going anywhere.

Lulu says Laura must be cursing fate. She’s mayor for one day, and walks into a mess. Laura says she’s cursing the serial killer. The idea that he’s copying Ryan terrifies her. There are already three innocent people dead. Is he killing six more to reach Ryan’s final count? When she closes her eyes, she sees the list with nine names on it. Lulu asks where she saw it, and Laura says, on Doc’s desk. He made a list of Ryan’s victims.

Not-Doc tells Ava not to take it the wrong way, but her presence might be counter-productive. Ava says, on the contrary. It could get heated, and he won’t get a word in edgewise. He says he’s a professional, and she says, exactly. He doesn’t know how to fight fire with fire. He needs his own dragon. He says he’d rather she save her fire for when the celebrate their victory. She asks if he’s seducing her into leaving, and he says he can do this for her, and will. He’d do anything for her; wait and see. He kisses her, and says he’ll meet her at the book party later. He thinks he can hold his own. It’s a side of him she’s never seen.

Sonny thought Carly was pissed at Doc. She say he called and apologized. Despite how weird he’s been acting, he was a huge help when she was at Ferncliff. They could use a session to gain perspective. Sonny says he has perspective, but she says he doesn’t. He needs to talk it through rationally with someone who understands the emotion. Sonny wonders if Carly thinks Doc will agree with her. She says he’s spoken to a shrink before, but he says, this is different. She says, not really. It’s a crisis, and she’s not letting it tear them apart. She asks him to do this for her. They need to deal with it.

Lucy continues to read, the woman who puts the B in bitch, Bobbie Spencer, avenged herself against the man who did her wrong – Damien Smith. Bobbie asks if the book includes Lucy affair with Bobbie’s then husband, Jake, and how she lost her underwear in front of the whole town. Lucy asks what her point is. Bobbie says she can’t wait until Lucy sees who Doc is with now. Payback.

Valentin thinks it’s amazing. The town consists of flawed, deeply complex individuals; some more than others. Lucy has a passage especially for him. Proving that evil is genetic, the brooding Valentin extorted Nikolas into signing over his entire estate… Not content with that, he shot Nikolas on Cassadine Island, and Nikolas fell to his death. Nina says, that’s not how it happened. Maxie asks if there isn’t a happier story in Port Charles’s history. Lucy says, it is history, but okay. She did an interview with Robin. She starts to read about Faison, and Peter thinks she should go back to the Cassadines. Maybe a different one. Lucy tells him, it’s not polite to interrupt a lady while she’s speaking, and continues to read. While Faison poisoned the town, he used mind control to sew discord between Robin’s parents. Maxie says they can read more in the book, or does Lucy have something else? Lucy reads about BJ’s accident leaving her brain dead in 1994, and how Tony made the unbearable decision to donate her heart to Maxie. Bobbie looks distressed, but Lucy continues, and tells them how Tony listened to the beat of his daughter’s heart in Maxie’s chest. Everyone is bummed.

Lulu asks Laura why Doc would have a list of Ryan’s victims. Laura says, he didn’t want his brother glorified, and wanted the dead to be remembered, so he made a list. Felicia was on it, but he sees her as a victim even though she survived. Lulu hates to tell her, but the book launch awaits. She tells Laura that if she sees Doc and Ava, ignore them. Laura could use some moral support, and Lulu says she’ll be there as soon as she finishes up. When Laura is gone, Lulu gets on her laptop. She looks up how many women Ryan killed, and sees it’s seven.

Carly thanks Doc for agreeing to see them. Sonny knows he’s going out of town with Ava. What he does is his business, but he’s not allowing Ava to take Avery. He’s not sure she won’t disappear. He doesn’t trust her, and doesn’t think Doc should. Doc asks if they’ve come to talk about Ava and Avery, but Carly says they want to talk about Sonny’s father. Not-Doc locks the door, and says, force of habit. He doesn’t want any interruptions during a session. Carly says they need to know how to go forward. It’s as if Mike is becoming a different person. Not-Doc says they’ve come to the right place.

Nina sees Curtis having one of Mac’s drinks, and says she didn’t think he was the designer cocktail type. He says, when in Rome... She asks if he’s happy for her, moving back to Windymere, and she and Valentin finding their way back against all odds. He asks if this is a permanent move. She says she’ll tell him what she told Maxie. Hopefully, he can be happy for her regarding any of her decisions, but Curtis makes no promises.

Willow and Chase look at Lucy’s book. Willow says she’s clearly running with the wrong people. Chase tells her, if it wasn’t for double jeopardy, the book would put some people away forever. She asks, when he’s not hanging with criminals, who does he run with? He says he’s quite wild. He and his brother raise hell. Sometimes, they get coffee. They might even get two, and sometimes he doesn’t even finish the first one. Who does she run with? She says she’s a lone wolf. He says he can see that. The first moment he laid eyes on her, he thought, wolf. He has an idea. How about if they run together? Metaphorically, unless she likes jogging. She says, that’s not a bad idea.

Peter tells Mac, hearing about the transplant made him aware of how precious Maxie is. Mac hopes Peter did as he asked, and cut the link between Ryan and the recent murders. Peter says he did. He gives Mac his word, which means something these days. There’s nothing more important than keeping Maxie and everyone she loves safe. Maxie approaches, and asks if they’re talking baseball. Mac says they’re talking about how important she is to all of them. Lucy grabs Felicia, and asks, where’s Laura? Felicia is sure she’ll be there soon. Lucy wonders who Doc is coming with.

Laura sees Bobbie, and asks if she’s okay. Bobbie says she’s fine, but the passage brought back bad memories. Laura says, Lucy is no tower of tact. Bobbie appreciates Laura being gracious given their complicated history, which is concisely and thoroughly explained in the book. Laura thought it was about the town. Bobbie adds, and the people who inhabit it.

On the phone, Lulu says Dante caught her at work. She’s’ fine, but wishes he was home. She asks what he means by she won’t be able to reach him for a while. How long? She says it’s good he’s closing in on Rog. She tells him, do what he needs to do. She misses and loves him. After she hangs up, she thinks about Laura saying there were nine names on the list.

Lulu calls Doc, but he ignores it. Carly tells him that when Sonny was a kid, Mike walked out. They patched things up over the years, more or less. When Mike was diagnosed, Sonny bent over backwards for Mike to stay with them. Sometimes, Mike doesn’t know where is or who Sonny is. Sonny says Mike has nobody. He needs to make sure Mike is cared for and knows he’s loved. Carly says it’s at the expense of Sonny’s own well-being. Not-Doc thinks he knows where this is coming from. It’s about Morgan, the son they couldn’t save.

Lucy reads about Felicia fighting Ryan off, and being sent to the loony bin until the truth came out. Thanks to Mac, both her heart and head were healed, Mac thinks it’s time for a break and his signature cocktails. Lucy suggests he call one of them a Tracy – half bitters, and half sour. Felicia mumbles, how about the Lucy? A thin glass of bourbon with a necklace stuck in it. Lucy comes over and says maybe she read the room wrong, but is Felicia mad at her?

Felicia asks for a moment. She says, why would she be mad? Lucy only dredged up painful memories of her past in front of a room of people. Lucy says it’s the anniversary of the killings, and she’d be remiss not to mention it. Felicia sees her perspective, but didn’t want to relive it tonight. Lucy apologizes, and Felicia begrudgingly accepts. Bobbie asks Lucy if she’s mentioned Doc is seeing someone. Lucy asks if she can say who it is. Ava comes in, and Lucy says, no way is Doc seeing that sleaze Ava.

Not-Doc says, grief doesn’t die. It manifests in a number of ways, and he thinks Sonny’s grief is related to how he’s dealing with his father. He was unable to keep Morgan safe. Mike is declining, and Sonny wants to keep him close in a way he couldn’t with Morgan. It’s human, admirable, and particularly poignant. Sonny asks how it can be made easier, and not-Doc suggests they visit Morgan’s grave. Carly says they do at least once a week. Not-Doc says, tell him the things they’d say if he was still there. Sonny asks what that has to do with his dad? and not-Doc says he can use it as a tool for talking to his father, who isn’t really there either. Carly says they could do it tomorrow, but not-Doc says, why wait when they can start healing tonight? Sonny says they’re supposed to be at the book party, but he’d rather talk to Morgan. Carly agrees, and thanks not-Doc. Sonny says, it helped, and not-Doc tells them to call his assistant if they want a follow up. After they leave, he takes out a knife, and says something tells him they won’t need it.

Valentin says Nina is avoiding him. He did ask her to marry him. She says she needed time to consider it, and he asks what she’s decided.

Maxie tells Peter that she’s sorry. She twisted his arm to get him there. He says, it’s a publishing event, and she says, from a rival publisher. And he had to listen to Lucy dredge up his demented father. He says, it’s always painful, but he didn’t run away screaming. Good thing he came.

Mac suggests he bring Felicia his carbonic snow concoction. She says she loves his concoctions.

Lulu leaves a message for not-Doc, and calls Peter. He wonders where she is, and she begs him to reconsider the story. She has new information. If it checks out, he’ll see the connection. Peter tells her that he said no, and that’s final. He wants her to come cover the party that he assigned to her. He hangs up, and Maxie says remind her never to work for him. He says he wants to keep everyone safe, especially her. She tells him, that’s what Nathan would have said.

Bobbie has had all of Lucy and the book she can stand. Laura would love to join her, but as mayor, she has to put in an appearance. Bobbie says if she decides to forget the dignity of her office, and rip Lucy’s hair out, good luck. Laura says Lulu is coming, and there won’t be any catfights. Bobbie thinks Lulu would be the first to cheer her on.

Chase says he and Willow are on a date, but he’s surrounded by cops, so he feels like a slacker. He can’t enjoy it. He suggests they make a run for it, and she agrees, saying, that’s what wolfs do.

Felicia congratulates Maxie. Maxie says she should have paid more attention to the contents of the book. Felicia says they have more important things to talk about; like her and Peter. Maxie doesn’t think she should be feeling this way today. It’s her and Nathan’s anniversary. Felicia says it’s okay if she’s not ready to move on, and it’s okay if she is. She needs to focus on what she wants. Whatever happens next is entirely up to her. Maxie says there’s somewhere she needs to be.

Nina tells Valentin that she loves him, loves being with him again, and loves her life right now. It’s perfect. He asks why not make it more perfect. She wonders why not just be together. He says if that’s what she wants, that’s what he wants. She says she wants to go home.

Not-Doc listens to the message from Lulu. She says her mother told her that he had a list of Ryan’s victims, but there were nine instead of seven. She’d love to meet with him and go over them. Not-Doc looks grim.

Laura asks if Curtis has heard from Jordan, and he says she’s still at work. Laura says Jordan briefed her, and she’s aware Curtis found a possible link; good work. He hopes it doesn’t get publicized, and wonders if she can’t talk to Lulu. She says she doesn’t know how much influence she has with Lulu, but Peter already killed the story.

Ava congratulates Lucy, who can’t remember inviting her. Ava says, yet here she is. Lucy tells Ava to stop spreading lies. No way is Doc involved with her. Since Lucy and I are the only ones who call him Doc, Ava isn’t sure what she’s talking about, then realizes she means Kevin. She says, he’s a wonderful man, and they share a deep, meaningful connection. Lucy tells her that if she is involved with Doc, then listen, and listen good. There’s a thing or two she needs to know about him.

Sonny and Carly go to the cemetery. Sonny doesn’t know what to say. Carly tells him to take as much time as he needs.

Lulu’s office door rattles. It’s not-Doc. She tells him that he scared her, and he says he got her message. She says she thought he’d be at the party. He says, unfortunately, his plans changed. He closes the door.

On Monday, Willow tells Chase that she let him believe something that’s not true, Michael wants to talk to Lucas about Wiley’s future, and Lulu asks not-Doc what he’s doing.

🍠 I caught Top Chef late last night, and my takeaway points were: don’t play it safe, don’t cook scared, and being called out by Tom is like being called to the principal’s office. Brandon packed his knives and went, because of slimy tartare. Next time, chefs on a houseboat, manned – and womaned – by Captain Lee and Captain Sandy (Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean). I’ll be making it my businesses to watch those reality cultures collide.  You can see all about it here:

General Hospital

At the hospital, Alexis thanks a staff member for the use of the space. She says they can’t be disturbed unless the hospital is on fire. The woman says they all know how important the meeting is. Alexis looks at an envelope that says, to remain sealed until all parties are gathered.

Finn sees Anna in the hallway, and asks what she’s doing up. She wants to watch the sunset in the solarium, and he says it sounds lovely, but shouldn’t she be resting? She tells him that she’s going stir crazy. He says she was somewhat blind this morning. Would it kill her to rest? She says she’s not resting until she figures out how she caught the virus.

Nina fixes the book table, telling Valentin nothing is beneath her if she wants it done properly. He says she’s doing a lot for Lucy, but she says the book is about Port Charles. It’s good publicity for the city. It’s crazy how quickly they got on their feet after the earthquake. Valentin loves her civic mindedness, and she says she’s going to see if she can join the school board. She’s not running for an office; she just wants to contribute. Valentin asks for what reason, and she says, Charlotte of course, but she wants every child to get the best education possible. She’d also like some authority when dealing with Charlotte’s teacher. Valentin thinks Willow means well, but Nina tells him not to let Willow’s sweet face fool him. She’s threatened by strong women, and taking it out on Charlotte. Valentin says, speak of the devil.

Cameron uses a stick to pick up litter, the likes of which we’ve never seen before in Port Charles. Laura and Lulu come by. Laura asks how it’s going, and he says he loves it more than juvenile hall. Laura hopes it’s taught him to think his actions through before he gets in trouble, but if he does, taking responsibility is the only way to go. He asks if they ever got in trouble when they were younger, and Lulu says, no way; they were angels. Laura says, downright saintly. He says he’ll try to learn from them, and continues on his way. Lulu wonders if that will be Rocco ten years from now, and Laura says he’ll make it through like they did.

Josslyn and Oscar see Cameron, and Josslyn asks how the inauguration went. Cameron says it went well, but you’d think out of respect for the new mayor, people would throw their trash away. He asks what they’re doing, and Oscar says, planning their future.

Sam tells Jason that Kristina is dying for someone to go a seminar. As much as she doesn’t want to, it will get her closer to Shiloh. Jason thinks that’s exactly what Shiloh wants.

Cameron says he doesn’t need to plan his future; it’s been mapped out for him. He’s picking up trash, then has to write an essay to his drug counselor on why he doesn’t need pot to deal with his problems. Josslyn asks if the counselor realizes Cameron has never smoked. Cameron says he doesn’t by it, even though, in his case it’s true. Oscar says he’s sorry, but Cameron takes full credit for his stupid idea. He’s lucky it didn’t work out. He thinks it’s too cold out there for planning the future, but Josslyn says they’re going to the library, It’s warm, free, and has a lot of information. Oscar says they want to do as muchas they can in the time he has, reminding me of the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Lulu asks Laura how her first day was. Laura says it was good, but intimidating. Lulu is proud Laura took her ring off, and was sworn in using her maiden name. She knows it’s still a loss, and it hurts. Laura says if she lets herself go there, she’ll cry, and it’s not a good look for the mayor. She asks if Lulu will be home later, but Lulu says she’s attending the book launch. Laura says she’ll see Lulu there. The book promotes Port Charles, so the mayor should put in an appearance. She’s surprised Lulu is covering it, but Lulu says her story got nixed, so book launch, here she comes. Laura suggests taking bets on how many wardrobe changes Lucy will have. Lulu thinks the people there are bound to be at each other’s throats.

Nina is surprised to see Willow, who says Chase invited her to the launch party. She knows she’s too early, so she’s going to wait for him outside. Valentin says she’s welcome to stay, and Nina tells her to make herself at home, but she wants to see how far behind Chase is. When she leaves, Valentin thanks Nina for taking the high road. He tells her to be cordial with her enemies; they’ll never see her coming. Nina says Willow isn’t her enemy, but Valentin says, if she becomes one, it’s better to be on good terms. She tells him he has a devious mind, and he says he’s never hidden that from her.

Josslyn refers to the journal, and tells Cameron it’s a work in progress. They’ll have to revise some of it. Cameron asks if it’s anything embarrassing. She hands him the journal, and says, proceed with caution. He says, the dog show is crossed out, and Oscar says, see? She says they can watch Best in Show or spend more time with Annabelle. Cameron says, it’s not the same, but Josslyn promises it will be fun. Oscar says he doesn’t know much about Port Charles, and Josslyn says there are a lot of places Oscar hasn’t seen and done. They’re going to hit the high points.

Sam tells Jason that they already talked about this. He says it doesn’t feel right. He thinks Kristina is the on ramp, but Sam is Shiloh’s target. Sam say she used to be a con, and knows what she’s looking for. She’ll see it a mile away. Jason says they know his M.O. He gets people to trust them, finds out their vulnerabilities, and uses those against them. Sam says she’s not vulnerable, but Jason says, yes, she is.

Jason says Shiloh knows what she did, but Sam says she did it to take care of her brother. He says Shiloh will use it against her, and he hates that Shiloh can bring back that pain. She says she’s been through worse. He thinks maybe there’s another way. Why shouldn’t he go? Sam says Shiloh will take one look at him, and know he’s not interested. Everyone in the house will be on edge, and no one will open up to her about what’s going on in there. He tells her, be careful. He doesn’t trust this guy. She says, her neither, but Kristina does, and she has to figure out why.

Cameron says, Oscar has never been on the ferry? It’s cool. He suggest they take the north ferry; it goes to Sawyer. Josslyn asks why they’d want to go there, and Cameron says his mom likes it; they have a bunch of antique stores. Josslyn says they also have a high school full of cheating cheaters who cheat. Cameron calls her a sore loser. Their football team lost, and she’s not over it. Josslyn says the referee called a fumble when there wasn’t one. Cameron and Oscar laugh. She says it’s not funny, but Oscar says they’re in awe of her passion and school spirit. He’s glad he’s not from Sawyer, which they won’t be visiting.

Nina tells Valentin if she fusses long enough with the books, she won’t have to deal with Willow. She doesn’t like the way Willow treats Charlotte or her. She couldn’t love Charlotte any more than if Charlotte was her own, and Willow treats her like an inconsequential person in Charlotte’s life, with no real roll. Valentin knows how to fix that.

Finn tells Anna to rest, and she says he’s taking the guardian angel thing too far. He prefers saint, and doesn’t think she should push this. Anna tells him, if she lies down, she’ll get drowsy. Then she’ll close her eyes. Finn says she’s afraid when she opens them, she won’t see. She knows it sounds silly, but he says, it sounds reasonable. She says it would make her feel better if she knew how she got it. She asks if he’s found out anything with his research.

Monica congratulates Laura, who says Monica’s nephew ran an admirable campaign. Monica admits she supported him, but has every faith that Laura will do the city proud. Laura takes it Monica got a call from Alexis, and Monica assumes she did too. Scotty joins them, and tells them they’re gabbing when they have a lot to do, and hustles them in. Alexis tells them, have a seat, and thanks them for coming. She’s the executor, and there to read Gail’s last will and testament. She was instructed not to open the seal until they were all present. Lucy and Serena agreed they could represent them, as well as Leslie, who’s out of the country. She breaks the seal, and opens the envelope.

Sam arrives at Dawn of Day. Kristina is excited she came, and can’t wait to show Sam around. Daisy says it’s good to see her again; she’ll love the seminar. It’s called Unburdening Your Past. Shiloh welcomes everyone; visitors, friends, and wandering souls. It’s good to have them.

At Charlie’s, Drew appreciates Jason meeting him. He asks if Jason heard about Oscar. Jason says he knows the medical trial didn’t work; he’s sorry. Drew says the thing is, he and Oscar’s mother are trying to find a way to help him face the end of his life. Josslyn is a big part of it, and that’s why he needs Jason’s help.

Alexis reads the majority of Gail’s assets are in a trust, managed be a neutral third party. Scotty asks, what about the house, Gail’s book royalties, and personal stuff like his father’s watch? Those things are sentimental to him. Alexis says there will be a codicil to address personal items. There’s an education fund for any children Serena might have, with the hopes someone in the family carries on the tradition of medicine. The trust will be used to further endow mental health services at GH. Monica says, leave it to Gail to think of others. Laura suggests putting her picture on the memorial wall, but Alexis says, not so fast. There’s a catch.

Willow tells Lulu that Chase is stuck, and Lulu says she’ll buy Willow a drink. She can tell Willow all about what it’s like being involved with a detective. She wants to apologize again for Charlotte’s behavior. Willow says she doesn’t have to. As much as they don’t like it, bullying happens. Lulu trusts Charlotte has been an angel since the stern talking to. Willow is silent, and Lulu says, or not. Willow says she thinks another conference is in order, but Lulu says they’re there now.

Valentin tells Nina the last few weeks with her and Charlotte under the same roof is all he wants. He’s never been happier. Nina says, her too. He knows they said they’d take it slowly, and he agrees with that, but they are a family. He sees no reason for an arbitrary waiting period to postpone the inevitable. He asks her to marry him again.

Anna asks what Finn has found out. He says according to his research, the virus has been eradicated. Anna asks why she got it, and Finn says he’s determined who patient zero is. Arthur Cabot, an East German doctor. Anna says, wow, and Finn asks if she knows him. She says she knows of him. He did medical research for the DVX.

Nina asks Valentin if that’s a proposal. He says it’s a proposal for permission to propose. He wants to know they’re on the same page, but he’s afraid if he rushes things he’ll push her away. She tells him to continue. He says he loves her; he always has. He wants to marry her again, and rebuild their family with Charlotte; get on with living their lives as soon as possible. Is she interested? Lulu asks if she can have a moment, and Valentin says they’re busy. She says, it can’t wait. Willow shared troubling news about Charlotte. Willow was hoping to discuss it privately after school, but Valentin says whatever she has to say, she can say to Nina as well. Willow says she’s aware that Charlotte has been struggling with her grade in history; the subject matter doesn’t interest her. She’d been getting C’s, but last week, they had two quizzes, and she got an A on both. Nina asks what the trouble is, and Willow says she’d updated the seating chart. Charlotte is now sitting by her friend, Kendra, and she and Kendra’s quizzes had identical answers. Even the wrong ones. Nina says Kendra must be cheating off of Charlotte, but Lulu says, no. Charlotte is doing the cheating.

Josslyn and Cameron tell Oscar about how amazing the sugar cookies from Eckert’s are. They remember finding a hidden box. They snuck out, ate them all, and fell asleep. Cameron says they must have been in a sugar coma. By the time they got home, everyone was panicked, and they were in so much trouble. Josslyn says you’d think she’d have psychological scars, and hate sugar cookies. Oscar asks why they’ve never been to Eckert’s. Is it a long way out of town. Or in Sawyer? Josslyn says, no. She always wanted to take him there, but figured there was no hurry. Cameron says, okay. They’re going on the south ferry, and go to Eckert’s. What else? Oscar says he’s always wanted to check out the catacombs.

Shiloh thanks them, and tells everyone, the first step in self-actualization is to realize you’re not alone. People are in a constant state of past memories, and responsible for their own lives; no one else’s. He asks Daisy to assist him, and asks, who would like to share a painful memory, unburden themselves, and move on?

Drew tells says Josslyn is a lot like her mother, and Jason agrees. Drew says Oscar doesn’t have a lot of time, and he’s worried Josslyn is costing Oscar time he doesn’t have. Jason asks, how? and Drew says, by encouraging him to look for cure; a miracle that doesn’t exist. Jason isn’t sure what Drew wants him to do. Drew says Carly listens to him. Maybe he can talk to her, and she can explain to Josslyn. Okay I’m not getting this at all, since Josslyn made it clear that wasn’t happening. They were moving on to do fun stuff. Drew needs to get out more, or listen better, or something. I’m also wondering if this is a selfish move because he wants to spend time with Oscar.

At Dawn of Day, the group applauds a guy who shared, and Shiloh asks if anyone else cares to have a session. Kristina says she’ll go. He tells her to close her eyes, and think back to a memory that’s holding her back. One she keeps reliving over and over again. Daisy asks where she is, and Kristina says, her mother’s old house. How old is she? Seventeen. Is she alone? Kristina says, no. Daisy asks, who’s there? Her boyfriend, Kiefer. What’s he doing? He’s angry with her. Why? She blew him off to be with another guy. Daisy asks what he did, and Kristina says, called her a bitch for doing it in a dress he bought for her. What else? He slapped her so hard, she fell to the floor. Daisy asks if she ran away, and Kristina shakes her head. Why? She thought it was her fault. Did she break up with him? No. Did she tell someone? No. Daisy asks, why? Kristina says, she didn’t… and stops. Daisy says she didn’t want to lose him, did she? She was glad he was jealous. Even when he scared her and hurt her, him paying attention to her is what mattered. Sam says, that’s enough, and goes to Kristina.

Scotty asks Alexis, what kind of catch? She says, the hospital will only receive the endowment if the provisions are met. Monica asks if the provisions are listed, but Alexis says, it’s unclear. It says the parties will be summoned back for further instructions. Was Gail channeling Helena?

Nina says, first, Willow accuses Charlotte of bullying, and now she’s saying Charlotte is a cheater. Willow says, Kendra’s test scores have been consistent. If Charlotte is still struggling, she’ll be glad to tutor her. Nina says she definitely wants her stepdaughter tutored by the teacher who thinks she’s a bully and a cheat, and storms off. Valentin tells Willow that he and Charlotte have been studying together. Willow is right, Charlotte is very intelligent. And she’s capable of lifting her scores without cheating.

Sam asks what the hell is wrong with Daisy. Kristina says she was just trying to help, and Sam says, by saying Kristina felt like she mattered when she was being hit? She had no idea the relationship was like that. Sam says she thought Daisy was Kristina’s friend. What’s wrong with her? Kristina says, there’s nothing wrong. She’s carried the shame she’s been living through, and their support is helping her heal. Okay, this makes two people who’s lack of understanding is flummoxing me today. I would think Sam is savvier than this.

Finn tells Anna that he double-checked, and didn’t find any connection between the doctor and the DVX. Anna says, his name came up repeatedly. The DVX was interested in biological weapons; the kind that make the subject sick, or more susceptible to mind control – Faison’s area of expertise. Finn  says, not so random that she contracted the virus, and she says, not at all.

Lulu tells Willow that she and Valentin have differences, but for the most part agree on Charlotte. She believes Valentin has been working with her, and wonders if that’s possibly why she improved her score. It’s also possible Kendra was cheating. Willow says, maybe. She doesn’t know anything for certain, but she doesn’t think Charlotte is being malicious. Lulu asks what Willow thinks would drive her to cheat. Willow says she’s found when young students cheat, they’re motivated by fear of disappointing the adults in their life. Lulu says Charlotte’s family has been through a lot of changes lately. She’s sorry about Nina. She’s hotheaded, but means well. Willow says, clearly, she cares about Charlotte.

Nina tells Valentin that Willow thinks Charlotte is a bad seed. Valentin says he told her that Charlotte has been studying, and lifted her grade without cheating. Nina asks if Willow apologized, but he says he didn’t ask her to. He waned to tell Nina that he’s grateful for her defending Charlotte. Calling Charlotte her stepdaughter means, somewhere in her heart, he’s still her husband.

Scotty wants a closer look, and Alexis gives him the document, saying there’s nothing she hasn’t already shared. He says, so it basically says, to be continued. She’ll let them know when she learns about anything else. Alexis leaves, and Laura says, Gail left them with a mystery to solve. And now that I’ve mentioned it, what ever happened to the mysteries Helena left when she died? If she’s dead, which I’ll never believe. What about that tea pot in the painting?

Kristina tells Sam she brought discord from outside the process. Sam says it’s unfair. She’s dealing with her own trauma. Kristina says they’ll be happy to help her confront it and move on, but she says she’s just taking it in right now. Shiloh says they’ve all been there. He tells everyone it’s a good time to wrap it up. He thanks them for coming, sharing, and opening their hearts. Sam is sorry she embarrassed Kristina. Kristina says she knows it seems strange, but the group is helping her. She and Sam say goodbye. Shiloh thanks Sam for coming. She has one question. How is he qualified to run a self-help group? He says they all have darkness in their past. She should understand that more than most. He hopes she comes back. She says she will.

Drew tells Jason that he’s afraid Josslyn might make things harder. Jason says he’ll talk to Carly, but doesn’t think Drew needs to worry. Josslyn is like her mother, but he thinks she has the courage to face reality, no matter how much it hurts. She might be fighting, but she’ll fight to make sure whatever time Oscar has left is good.

Oscar tells Cameron and Josslyn that there are passageways that date back to the Civil War. Cameron says, cool! They should explore them. Josslyn thinks the entrances were closed off, but Cameron says, not all. At least that’s what he heard. Josslyn says, from who? and he says, some juniors and seniors found a way in. Oscar asks if he knows how, and Cameron smiles.  Yeah. We already know what’s going to happen here.

Tomorrow, Ava says she’s not going anywhere, Nina wants Maxie to be completely honest, and Lulu wonders why Doc has a list of Ryan’s victims.

🌺 I checked out Backyard Envy – another new home design show on Bravo – and I’m liking it. It’s nothing I’d miss Below Deck for, but a beach-inspired rooftop meadow? I’m in. The cast members are likeable as well. A discussion on how many plants sound like STDs made me laugh. One in four men will get eucalyptus this year.

😆 Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were a riot on Watch What Happens Live. They’re naturally funny people, but it was extra amusing seeing two relatively big stars discuss reality shows with such seriousness – and accuracy. I bet they’d be fun to watch TV with. I could see them doing People’s Couch.

🍴 I didn’t see Top Chef tonight, because Dr. Phil had a cyber-stalker on. How could I resist that? I did, however, enjoy the hell out of Hell’s Kitchen last Friday. You know it’s bad when Gordon stops everything in the restaurant kitchen, and says, come over here, to everyone on the team. Choclatier Valerie Gordon was a guest, and Trev was out the door, because of what Gordon called his downward spiral. And it was his third time being nominated for apron removal. Gordon told him he just wasn’t ready. He griped on his way out the door, proving Gordon’s point. Piss off seems to be the phrase of the season. Next time, three rookies and three vets will vie for black jackets, and an untimely injury happens.

😲 All I have to say about the end of Dirty John is, wow. It was well worth watching, and if you didn’t, it’s On Demand, and no doubt Bravo will rerun it. The acting is superb, the tension high throughout, and the ending a real shock. Having seen the real life subjects on other shows, I already knew what was going to happen, but it didn’t diminish any of the punch. I made noises out loud. Enjoy the marathon and the ride.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

I swear, one day I won’t miss the first minute and a half. I had extra time today too, but… oh, never mind. Moving on.

Anna asks if Finn is backing out. He says he never backed in. He tells her, technically, she can go on her own. Not-Doc nearly slams into them, and Finn tells him watch where he’s going.

Sam doesn’t know how Jason can still go to the docks. He says there are bad memories for both of them there, but she suggests they make new ones. Shiloh appears, and says it’s fortunate he found them. Perhaps they can help him with something. He sounds like Spinelli.

Shiloh takes Sam and Jason over to a guy sleeping on the docks. He introduces the guy as Barney. He’s between homes, and Shiloh is trying to convince him that he’ll freeze out there. He has a van to take Barney and his mother to a shelter, but Barney doesn’t think he can trust Shiloh. Sam tells Barney, it’s just one night. He can leave if he wants to. Shiloh agrees that he can. Sam says, give it a try. A hot meal and a bed. Let them help him out.

Not-Doc tells Finn and Anna that he’s terribly sorry. It’s embarrassing. He’s always complaining about other people walking while their looking at their cell phones, and now he’s doing the same thing. Anna asks if he’s in a rush to get to a patient, but he says it’s a baffling pathology that’s stumping the experts. He jets, and Finn says, people say he’s awkward.

Maxie asks Peter how he knew she was there. He says he didn’t, and Lulu says the whole world doesn’t revolve around Maxie. Peter says he’s there on Invader business. Maxie asks if he’s going to make Lulu work tonight. Her mom waiting for them to join her. Lulu says she asked to see him; right now, this takes precedence. Maxie says she’ll leave them to talk shop, while she watches the returns. Lulu tells her it’s confidential, and she’ll meet Maxie at The Floating Rib when they’re done. Maxie says Peter should consider coming. All work no play… He says he’ll try, and Lulu says she’ll be there soon. When Maxie leaves, Lulu says she senses a vibe. Peter says they’re supposed to be talking business. Lulu says she’s talking murder.

Ned says Michael wants him to win so he has no reason to come back to ELQ. Michael says he wants Ned to win because he’s a great mayor, but he’s always welcome back to the family business. Monica says they’re all getting along and being supportive of each other. Is she in the right house? She says, solidarity is a good thing, especially with everything going on with Oscar. She had no idea how hard losing Gail would hit her either. She wishes Michael had the chance to meet her. There’s also the mysterious clause in her will. Ned says they’ll deal with that another time, and Monica says, tonight is all about him. No pressure, but they could use a win. Michael tells Ned, please get on that, thanks. Ned says, unfortunately, it’s out of his hands.

Laura is blown away by Cameron being busted for buying marijuana. Alexis says, trying to buy marijuana. Elizabeth says, it was sweet, but misguided. Laura wishes they’d told her; she would have been at the hearing. Elizabeth says that’s why they didn’t tell her. Alexis says a lot of people are counting on her. Laura says, family comes first. Always has; always will. She sees not-Doc come in.

Shiloh thanks Sam and Jason, saying they were more persuasive than he was. It’s amazing how many don’t see people like Barney. They’re treated like a disease. He says they’re here to see him; what can he do for them? Sam says Kristina told her that he comes there sometimes to help the homeless. He asks again what he can do for them, and Sam says he can start by dropping the act. Jason says he knew Sam lived there when he came to town. Why didn’t he tell Kristina? Shiloh asks, what makes them think he knew Sam? Sam says she was married to his father.

Mac says what he’s about to tell not-Doc stays between them. It’s about the murders; can Mac trust him? Not-Doc says he’s working with the PCPD. If they can trust him, Mac can. Is he working with the police? Mac says Jordan and Curtis came to him with a possible link between Ryan’s crime spree and the recent killings. Not-Doc asks if he’s serious, and Mac says, dead serious; no pun intended. They’d been going through the files, and Ryan kept a trophy from each of the victims – their driver’s license. The current killer is doing the same thing. All three licenses are missing from the victims’ personal effects. Not-Doc says, incredible, and Mac says, it begs the question, if the killer knows Ryan’s M.O., why does no one else? Not even the cops.

Lulu tells Peter that he gave her access just for something that happened twenty-five years ago. Fast-forward to her covering the recent murders. It didn’t occur to her that they were connected until the DA dropped by. Margaux wouldn’t tell her what they found, but it’s obvious they stumbled on a link. They have reason to believe the killer might be emulating Ryan’s crimes. Peter asks why the DA would come to her, and Lulu says she wanted to know if there was a common denominator – a signature on Ryan’s crimes – but Lulu hadn’t seen one. Peter doesn’t suppose Margaux let her in on what they found. Lulu says she tried to get it out of her, but no luck. She bets if she goes back to her research and the forensics reports, she can find something. Peter asks if she hasn’t already done that, but she says she didn’t know they were looking for a link. If they can find it, she can. Peter asks what she’ll do with it if she finds it, and she says, print it. The public deserves to know. Peter says, if the police haven’t revealed it, it’s for a reason. They’re using it to catch the killer, and she could blow that up. Don’t publish irresponsibly. She says, like she did before? and he says, like they did. He pushed her, and it got Nathan killed. It wasn’t their intention, but they put it out there. It was an unforeseen consequence, and he doesn’t want to risk it again. When she writes something, as publisher, he’ll decide if they go through with the story. She says, deal. She’s going to close up and go to The Floating Rib. She asks if he’s coming, but he says he has a stop he needs to make first.

Finn tells Anna, if you don’t vote, you can’t complain, but she says, but he does anyway. She tells him, Peter wants to meet her right now at a bistro. Finn tells her to go to her meeting, and he’ll check on some files. She says, no, no, no. A supportive boyfriend would go to the party with her. He asks what the supportive boyfriend gets out of this? She asks if he remembers that night, and what happened after. He says it’s seared in his brain. He’ll see her there. Must have been good.

Shiloh says, Sam and his father? Sam says before Hank, he was born David Henry Archer. She married his father briefly. She knew he had a son, but never met him. He was overseas, spending his trust fund. She says it’s not a time in her life that she’s proud of. Shiloh says his father was never married to a Sam, and Sam says, like him, she had aliases. Shiloh thinks it’s amazing that they connected in their own way. Sam says he shows up where she lives, and happens to get her sister to volunteer, and somehow he thinks it’s a coincidence? He says, not coincidence; it’s fate.

Sam asks if Shiloh thinks it’s divine intervention, and he asks what she would call it. She says, a scam. He says he wishes she’d known the person he used to be. Then maybe she’d understand. After his parents divorced, he bounced from boarding school to boarding school. By the time his father met her, he was an adult, and burning through his trust fund. Afterwards, he found himself alone and broke, both financially and in spirit. He couldn’t go further down. Financially, there was probably nothing left for him. Sam says, because of her. Shiloh says if she’s asking if he blamed, or even hated her, he did.

Maxie arrives at The Floating Rib. Elizabeth tells her that they’re waiting on the west side report, and Laura is cool as a cucumber. Maxie says, she’s incredible, and Elizabeth says she’s their next mayor. Alexis is glad to see Finn. He’s glad to see her too, and she asks, how’s life? He says, good, and she asks, how’s Anna? He says, good; how about her? She says she’s doing okay. She’s trying to figure herself out, and discovering friendships mean a lot; FYI, his included. He says nothing makes him happier; FYI.

Laura says, it’s about to happen. Everyone gathers around the TV.

Peter thanks Anna for meeting him on short notice. They make awkward small talk, which seems to be the theme of the day. Anna is glad he was able to come on Christmas. He says him too. He wants ask about her Christmas gift; the WSB file. He gets the woman he never knew, and wondered about every day, but the portrait is incomplete. He needs her to finish it.

Mac tells not-Doc that Ryan was in isolation, and never with anyone. Not-Doc says he remembers… hearing about it. When they were kids, his brother always went his own way. He was the ultimate secret keeper. Mac says, he’s a shrink. Why the driver’s license? Not-Doc says, it contains the essentials of our existence. It represents the lives he took, and was a reminder that he was a step ahead of the authorities; a pat on the back. Mac says he’ll never understand it, and not-Doc says, him neither. Lulu calls Mac over.

The voters have spoken, and they’re able to declare a winner. The next mayor of Port Charles is Laura Collins. Everyone applauds. Laura is stunned, but Lulu isn’t. Everyone hugs Laura. Not-Doc hangs in the background, and raises his beer to her.

Monica says she couldn’t be prouder of Ned, and the rest agree. Michael says, it was crazy close; Ned can ask for a recount. Ned says, the voters have spoken, and if he has to concede, Laura is his first choice. Olivia says she loves him. Monica says, in his short time in office, he did a lot. He rebuilt homes and got people jobs. Olivia says he touched people’s lives; she’s grateful. Ned says he’s grateful for her. She was a spectacular First Lady. She worked her tail off in a thankless gig. He’s sorry he let her down; she’s out of a job. She says, for one, there’s the MetroCourt, and second, she doesn’t care. She loved being his lady, and them doing it together. There are a million other ways they can accomplish that. They hug.

Jason says Sam didn’t mess up Shiloh’s life, he did. Shiloh says he accepted it. Hitting rock bottom is the ultimate reality check. There’s no one to make excuses or clean up the mess. He looked in the mirror, and put the blame where it belonged. He found work; easy money in often unsavory ways. He and Sam aren’t so different. He wound up in Afghanistan, where Drew pulled him out. He didn’t just save Shiloh’s life, but gave his life meaning. That’s when he started on the journey that brought him there. Sam says, it’s inspiring, but Shiloh says she doesn’t sound convinced. She says it has her wondering if digging in her past, and using her alias as harassment is part of his journey.

Peter tells Anna that he literally wrote the book on Faison, and he’s surprised there’s so much he didn’t know. Like, she has a twin sister. Anna tells him, the less said about her, the better. He wants to know everything. Does he have other family out there? And Robin and her family, not to mention Robert, who’s seen as family. Mac said it’s a big tribe. Anna says, it’s his tribe too, if he wants them. He doesn’t know what he wants right now, but she tells him, no rush. They have all the time in the world.

Maxie asks Mac what he was talking about with not-Doc. Mac says it was a private matter. She says, first Lulu and Peter, now him. Mac asks if Peter is still camping outside her door, and she says, no, but if he was… Mac says he wouldn’t like it. Maxie says, Peter isn’t his father. Mac asks, how does she feel about him? He doesn’t want her hurt. She says, there’s a serial killer on the loose, and he’s worried about Peter? He says he doesn’t know what he’d do if something happened to her, but she says there’s not a safer place to be than where she is right now.

At the bar, not-Doc looks at Peyton ‘s driver’s license. Laura asks what he’s doing. He’s sending her mixed messages. First, he can’t get far enough away; now he’s her biggest fan. He says he might not want to be together, but thinks she’ll make a magnificent mayor. She appreciates that. Ned comes in, and congratulates Laura. Olivia says she ran a wonderful campaign, and Laura says Ned did too. Ned sees that she’s having a party, but wanted to concede. Losing is not his strong suit. Laura says, is it anyone’s? He says if there’s anything he can do to smooth the transition, name it. They’re all citizens, and when they’re threatened, either by an earthquake or a madman, they must pull together. Everyone applauds. Laura and Ned hug. Not-Doc watches.

Michael thinks Ned showed class, and Monica says, winning gracefully is one thing, but losing gracefully is another. It would have been nice to celebrate something though. Michael says, it would. Monica’s phone dings, and Michael asks if everything is okay. She thinks so. The reading of Gail’s will is next week.

Sam asks Shiloh if emailing Linda Black sounds familiar. He says she didn’t use that name, but she says if he was digging into her past, he knows she used several aliases. He asks if the emails were threatening, and she says they offered help. He says, with what? but she doesn’t know. Jason says maybe someone was using the name only to make Sam aware they know her past. Sam says, someone like him? Shiloh asks if she thinks a person can go from one thing to another. Realize they’re not on the right path, and not the person they want to be. She believes people can change, but if he did, that’s a different story. He says that’s what their lives are; stories. Now, as fate would have it, it’s their story, but that’s not the way she would think. He tells her to get to know him better. See him as her sister does – as a friend. Until then, he wishes them peace and fulfillment. He leaves, and Sam asks Jason how she did.

Peter wants to figure out his family tree. He owes it to James to know everything he can; where he comes from. Anna is happy to provide what he needs. She feels weird, and he tells her to have some water. She says she had a phlebotomy today, and it can make her dizzy and weak, and give her a headache. She drinks some water, but has a funny look on her face. Peter asks, what’s wrong?

Jason tells Sam that he thought she was convincing. The guy is good though, so whether Shiloh bought it or not, he doesn’t know. He didn’t let his guard down once. He stuck to his story. Sam says she bought it, but doesn’t think him meeting Kristina is an accident. Jason thinks he’s fishing for information; hoping for something to turn around. Sam says Con 101. Wait for the mark to tell you what you want to know. Kristina is trusting, and left herself wide open for Shiloh to take an opportunity to do what he wants with her. Jason thinks she has a right to be concerned. Somehow, Sam’s past with his father, Shiloh’s with Drew, and Kristina being in the group… Sam wonders what Shiloh is after, and Jason says, nothing good.

Ned thanks Olivia for coming with him. She says she’s happy to do her part for the city. It’s her home. If Ned had won, she’d have been with him, but the decision is made. Now, they’ll face new challenges, and she’s looking forward to it. Sleeping in late, going to Leo’s soccer games, the vacations they had to put off. He says they have their life back, and they kiss.

At The Floating Rib, the crowd calls for a speech. Laura thanks them for being there, and thanks Mac and Felicia for hosting. She thanks her friends and family for supporting her, and not letting her throw in the towel when she was sorely tested. Most of all, she thanks the voters for entrusting the town they all love so much to her care. She can’t promise she won’t make mistakes or do something they disagree with, but she can promise she’ll put in 150% effort every day she has the job. Her utmost priority will be the people of Port Charles, their welfare, and safety. She knows they’re afraid, and she’ll work closely with the PCPD to make sure they have what they need to catch the killer. Whoever it is, and wherever they are, their days are numbered. Not-Doc joins the applause, but doesn’t look sincere. If applause can be sarcastic, that describes it.

Anna tells Peter that she’s in pain, and needs to see a doctor. She starts to get up, then collapses.

Tomorrow, Obrecht asks Valentin if she should tell Nina what he’s been keeping from her, Franco asks Ava what the hell she’s doing, and Anna is blind.

💰 On Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Tracy handled an estate sale for Rose McGowan. Rose’s intention, along with the sale of the house, is to use the money for her legal battle against Harvey Weinstein. She left with two suitcases and an adventurous spirit. The whole exchange was kind of sad, but I suppose it would be a lot worse if she had nothing to sell. Dorit and PK, from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, hired James and David to sell their house (probably one of several), after nixing the Altman brothers, Josh and whatever his brother’s name is. PK said the Altmans had also talked smack about David and James. James or David – I’m still not sure which one’s which – griped about spending $6000 on the open house. When the potential commission is nearly a quarter of a million, that should be a drop in the bucket. And it’s nothing compared to what Fredrik from Million Dollar Listing NYC would spend. PK surprised me by interfering in his broker’s job, insisting on talking to the potential buyer’s broker, and screwing up any negotiations that might have been made. Sellers get seriously greedy and/or sentimental when the rubber starts meeting the road. Next time, Josh Flagg drives an ice cream truck, and a house is robbed. Maybe.

🍮 On Top Chef, we got to see some Last Chance Kitchen with Nini from last week, and a dude named Brother, who no one knew because he was from another season. One of their tasks was to recreate the dish that got them there in the first place. The other contestants were required to help, and the ones helping Brother (what kind of a name is that anyway?) weren’t thrilled, since they didn’t know him from flan. Brother was doing a Southwestern/Asian fusion, and everyone was like, whaaat? I was okay with that, until the cilantro came out. I’m one of the 4 – 14% of people who think it tastes like soap, which is a real quandary, since I like Mexican food. Brother ended up going back to the competition, so I guess everyone will get to know him. The next challenge was to use an old fashioned cocktail as inspiration for an appetizer – one of those one-perfect-bite things – for a Roaring Twenties themed party. They had a choice of cocktails, and ironically, one of them was an Old Fashioned. Chef Ken Oringer (hello! who’s this nice looking man?) was a guest at the party, and a guest judge. Tom said one dish was sad in a cup, and I literally LOL’d. That’s pretty bad. I wasn’t paying enough attention to see whose dish it was, but found out later that it was Brian who had the sad, dry gnocchi. My money was on Eric’s oysters, and he won the challenge. Brother got on everyone’s nerves. They were annoyed because he hadn’t been on the rest of the season with them. He got reamed out by Tom for doing the same thing he did last time when he’d been given a second chance. Tom always seems pissed at elimination. In the end, Brother had to pack his knives and go. Tom told him that he was disappointed, which probably feels like your father telling you he’s disappointed. Brother thought maybe he needed a break, and it was someone else’s turn, which was a pleasant way to leave. Next time, actress Lena Waithe presents a challenge, and butchering skills are put to the test. And while we’re on the subject of chefs, what’s with this foam business? The only foam I want to see is on the top of a chocolate egg cream.

General Hospital

One year ago today – approximately. Lucy wonders how she’s getting out of this one.

One year ago today, minus one day – approximately. Lucy asks Maxie who in their right mind would want to visit their city. Maxie says, there are a lot of great things happening, but Lucy says, no one knows about them.

Lucy holds the bag while Sonny punches. They talk about the mayor’s duties.

At the hospital, Monica asks if the job falls to Lucy. Lucy says no one else has her verve, and she’s Port Charles’s biggest fan.

At the MetroCourt bar, Lucy tells Scotty not to dismiss her. She’s an entrepreneur. She wants to rebrand Port Charles, and make it a tourist destination again.

Alexis tells Lucy all she needs are investors. Lucy says, guidebooks don’t publish themselves. Think of the tourist dollars, and the legal fees. Sam says, and the real estate dollars. Lucy says, think of the tax base increase.

Jason walks out of the hospital elevator while Lucy tells him to dust off his checkbook. He keeps walking, and she says she’ll take that as a yes.

Sam tells Lucy that she’s not gambling her kids’ inheritance. Lucy tells Alexis that she can invest that Cassadine cash. Alexis says it’s tied up in her 401K.

Lucy tells Julian that he must see the value in the publicity. He says he just bought a bar; his money is tied up in it.

Lucy reminds Monica that she took Alan off her hands. Monica says, get out before she calls security.

Back at the gym, Sonny asks if he writes a check… Lucy says she’ll get out of his hair faster than he can say –

Maxie says, great idea. But there’s no way she can get the bucks together. Lucy says she came up with the seed money. Now she needs quotes from Port Charles’s best and brightest. She takes out a pen and paper.

Present day – exactly. Lucy looks in a travel agency window at travel guides of Port Charles.

Sonny and Mike are at the gym. Mike asks how long this is going to take. He’s perfect. Just ask Yvonne.

Stella sees Marcus at Turning Woods. She has a present for Yvonne from Mike. She says she thought about Marcus over the holidays. He tells her he spent time with his wife. Stella asks how she is, and he wonders who wants know – her or Mike?

Elizabeth asks Kim how her New Year’s Eve was. Kim says, it couldn’t been worse.

Kristina tells Sam and Jason it didn’t take long. Sam tells Kristina that she’d said to come over, and here they are. Kristina invites them in. She says, her sister is there with her… Jason. Kristina introduces them to Shiloh, who we recognize as Hank. Jason reacts, and Sam asks if she knows him. Jason says he knows him enough to know he’s lying.

Scotty sees Monica at the hospital, and says he needs to talk to her. She says she has no comment on lawsuits, but he says he’s not there to sue the hospital. He has bad news.

Julian sees Alexis sitting at a table in Charlie’s. He tells her Kristina isn’t working, but she says she’s not spying; she’s meeting a client. He asks if they don’t have fancy conference rooms for that, but she says they’re secluded, and Port Charles has a serial killer on its hands. Lucy comes in, and sits with Maxie. Maxie says she was just about to leave for a self-defense class she can’t afford to miss. Lucy says Crimson can’t afford to miss an exclusive on a book publication, by yours truly. Lucy hands a book to Maxie, and says, read it and weep – tears of joy.

Sonny tells Mike that Yvonne has good taste, but he has to remain worthy and keep up the maintenance. Exercise is good for the body, but also keeps the head clear. Mike doesn’t want to miss Yvonne’s call. He’s sure she would have called by now. They should stop by Turning Woods after they work out. He wants to see how she liked the present.

Stella tells Marcus that she heard about Yvonne leaving the facility unattended. She’s sorry. Marcus appreciates her sympathy, but the apology isn’t necessary. She had nothing to do with it. Stella says she can’t fathom what went through his head when Yvonne was missing. He says he pictured her alone in the streets, not knowing who or where she was. When a child is out like that, people stop to help, but with someone like her, people don’t want to be bothered. They don’t see her. Stella says, someone did, but he says, not soon enough to stop Mike from luring her away. Stella says Jordan told her that he’s not pressing charges. He doesn’t see how that would help Yvonne. He’s going to do right by her another way.

Monica tells Elizabeth that she’s taking the day off, and won’t be available for anything until tomorrow. She leaves with Scotty, and Kim says, something must have happened. Elizabeth says, Monica is a private person. If she wants them to know anything, she’ll tell them

Kristina can’t believe Sam and Jason came over right after she moved in. Jason says he knows Shiloh as Hank. That’s how he introduced himself to Drew. Shiloh (I guess we’re calling him this now) says he didn’t want to confuse Drew. Sam asks if he knew Drew when he was a SEAL. Shiloh says he did, and Sam has him at a disadvantage. Kristina says Sam is her sister and Drew’s ex-wife. Shiloh says, when you change your life, it’s helpful to change names too. He tells them that they’re more than welcome. Any friend of Kristina’s… Kristina tries to interject, and Shiloh tells her, stop being rude. Sam asks if he spoke with Drew, and Shiloh says he did. Drew told him about his memory loss. He’d hoped to spark something, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Kristina says Drew doesn’t remember anything before coming to Port Charles. Shiloh says it’s a shame. If it wasn’t for Drew’s intervention, he’d still be Hank, shallow and wasted. Drew literally and figuratively saved his life, and he intends to repay his debt.

Kim can’t find her phone, and tells Elizabeth, it’s official; she’s a basket case. Elizabeth asks if she wants to talk. Kim says there’s not much to talk about. Julian broke up with her. Elizabeth doesn’t believe it. Kim says, neither did she at first. Elizabeth can’t believe Julian thinks he can do better than her.

Julian tells Alexis that he read the article on how Kiki ‘s murder might be related to the nurse’s murder. Alexis says Jordan is about to make a statement linking the MetroCourt murder, the nurse, and Kiki. She’s surprised Ava didn’t tell him, but he thinks it’s better to hear it from her anyway. Maybe Ava’s been trying to call; he’s been preoccupied. Alexis suggests he take the day off. Call Kim and have fun. He flashes back to seeing Drew and Kim kissing. He tells Alexis, Kim is otherwise occupied.

Stella knows Marcus is angry. He needs an outlet for his feelings before they consume him. Marcus says he’s past breaking things. She says, talking has been known to help. He can talk to her, but she knows that could be complicated. She can give him a good therapist to help him articulate his feelings, and talk it through. He says there’s only one person he wants to talk to, and he’s taking the opportunity to make that happen. He’s assuming responsibility for Yvonne’s care and taking her home.

Sonny gives Mike boxing tips as they spar. Mike says if he’s forgotten a lot, but if he forgets to breathe, they’re in trouble. It’s hard to concentrate when he knows Yvonne is waiting. Sonny says he’s doing fine. Chet watches from the sidelines, and suggests Mike try rotating his hips more. It will help with his lower back. Mike tries it. Sonny says Chet knows about boxing, and Mike says he was in the service. Chet asks if the tattoos or his legs were a giveaway. Mike says, the tattoos; he’d recognize Tulip’s work anywhere. They exchange information on where they were stationed, and fist bump.

Maxie tells Lucy that she’s impressed and scandalized. A secret nude beach? Lucy says there’s so much they don’t know about their own town. She wants to share it with the world using her book. That’s where Maxie comes in. The book is no good without being in people’s hands. She needs publicity. She’s picturing an amazing, fabulous book launch; a signing like they did for Ask Man Landers. Maxie says it’s not normally something Crimson does, but she can come up with an angle. Lucy wonders if Scotty looks exceptionally rumpled today.

Sitting with Monica, Scotty asks if she wants a cocktail. She doesn’t think losing her sobriety is a way to honor Gail. He tells her that the nurse called him, saying Gail might not make it. He booked a flight to Florida, and had Serena meet him. Monica is glad he had Serena with him, but wishes she had been there when Gail died.

Shiloh says the story of what put him in Drew’s debt is in the book. Sam says he’s too young to have written a memoir, but he says, you’re never too young to share wisdom. He hands them a copy, saying, it’s a confessional; a study on the human condition. A way to look at life, and how to live it. He had to evolve and change. Hank wasn’t much of a man. Sam asks if Shiloh is, and he says, that’s for others to judge. He’s doing his best, creating Dawn of Day.

Mike tells Chet a story about how another soldier had to polish his boots for two weeks for something Mike did. Sonny says he never heard that, and Mike says, no one likes old soldier stories. Chet adds, except other vets. Mike hates to cut it short, but he has a lady waiting. He leaves to get cleaned up, and Sonny thanks Chet. He never heard Mike talk about the service. Chet says, the level of engagement isn’t unusual; it’s good to meet a fellow vet. Sonny says he hasn’t seen Chet around, and Chet says his sister lives in Port Charles. Sonny asks, what about him? and Chet says, that depends on if he finds the right job. Sonny says he knows his way around a gym. He owns this place, and he’s looking for a manager who’s knowledgeable and discreet. Is Chet interested?

Stella tells Marcus that he’s taking on great strain. He wouldn’t have placed Yvonne at Turning Woods if he thought she could be on her own. He says he’s seen the care she’s gotten, and he’ll take his chances at home. Stella says, even if she’s unhappy? Marcus asks, who said she’s happy there? Mike? Sonny? Stella tells him, Yvonne. He says his marriage is none of her business. She forfeited the right to weigh in on his life a long time ago.

Sam asks Shiloh if the house has a name, and he says his outfit does. She asks what his outfit does, and he says, anything that needs to be done. Kristina says they’re helping rebuild the houses on Charles Street, and they’ve gotten a program together. Sam says, it sounds costly, and wonders who’s funding the household. Kristina says, people pay what they can. Oscar lives there. Sam asks if Shiloh knows he’s housing someone who’s underage, but Shiloh says he’s aware of the circumstances, and found a spot for him. Sam still isn’t clear how the others afford to live there. Kristina tells her, quit acting like such a bitch, but Shiloh says, her questions are completely valid. He funds the house with his own money. Sam asks where it comes from exactly, and he says he’s a life coach. He helps people realize their full potential.

At the gym, Drew asks Curtis if he found the body. Curtis says he found a lot of blood, but not the body. Peyton was killed in the editing room, but found on the MetroCourt terrace. Drew says, after the fact, like the nurse and Kiki. Drew asks if Curtis thinks they crossed paths, but he’s trying not think about it. He asks if Drew has something more pressing, and Drew says, maybe. He’s wondering if a blast from the past is a good thing.

Elizabeth asks Kim if it’s because of Oscar that Julian doesn’t want a relationship. Kim says he thinks she can’t take care of both, but he’s not completely wrong. She’s been giving Julian a lot less attention. Elizabeth says, Oscar is fighting for his life. Julian isn’t getting enough attention, so he decided to leave and act like he’s doing her a favor? Kim says, it didn’t come out of the air. Julian saw her and Drew kiss on New Year’s Eve.

Alexis asks Julian if there’s been any news about Oscar, and he says not that he knows. She says Oscar’s current phase of therapy is ending soon, but Julian says he can’t help Kim. She asks if he something wrong, and he says Kim won’t tell him because they’re through.

Stella thanks Mike and Sonny for meeting her. Mike asks if Yvonne liked the gift. Stella tells him that she didn’t see Yvonne; she dropped it off. It wasn’t a good time for a visit. Mike says he’ll find out this afternoon when Sonny drops him off. He asks Stella if something is wrong, and she says, Yvonne’s husband is moving her out and taking her home.

Curtis says, so Hank knows Drew from the SEALS? Drew tells him, that’s what he said. Curtis asks if Drew doesn’t believe him, and Drew say he automatically doesn’t trust anyone who says they’re from his past. Curtis says he can look into it, and see what Hank is up to. Drew appreciates it. He’s worried about Oscar’s mom. Curtis thought Drew’s relationship with Kim was the one uncomplicated thing about his life. Drew says, it was. Curtis says if they had a fight, Drew would have told him, so he’s left with an inescapable conclusion – they got biblical with it. Drew says he has a one-track mind. No, they didn’t, but they kissed.

Elizabeth says Kim and Drew kissed at midnight on New Year’s Eve? Kim say they’ve been living in Oscar’s hospital room, and were talking about old times. It was nothing; a one-time thing. Elizabeth says, but that’s not what Julian took away. Kim says he saw it out of context, and nursed his wounded pride in bed with someone else.

Alexis says she didn’t know Kim and Julian broke up, and he says she’s the first person he’s told. He doubts Kim has spread the word. He doubts it’s of much of concern. Alexis says, any fool can see how much he means to her, and he says, any fool but this one.

Maxie tells Lucy that she’ll help her out, but she has to get to her class. She asks Lucy if she wants to come, but that’s a no. Maxie leaves, and Lucy watches Scotty.

Monica tells Scotty that she doesn’t know who she’d be if Gail hadn’t given her such a wonderful role model. We flash back to Gail counseling Scotty about getting married. She tells him, there’s not a problem on earth you can’t solve if you truly love each other. Monica asks where Scotty went, and he says he went walking down Memory Lane. Monica says she has a second home on that street. We flash back to Gail telling Monica, every night wasted is critical. Monica says she has some hard memories; difficult ones, but none are bad. Scotty says, Gail had a temper. When he banged up a fender, she gave him what for. Lucy approaches their table. She says from their long faces, they must not have heard she’s a published author. When she gets no reaction, she asks, what’s wrong? Monica says, there’s no easy way, and Scotty tells her, Gail passed away last night.

Mike says, Yvonne isn’t going anywhere; she’d never leave him. Sonny says, if Marcus wants take her home, he has every right. Mike says, he’ll be taking her from what she’s accustomed to. He promises not to see Yvonne again if she can stay where she feels safe and knows her place. Sonny tells him, take it easy; he’ll take care of it. He promises to fix it.

Sam asks if Shiloh is helping Kristina realize her full potential. Kristina says they already know Sam thinks her life is a mess. Does she have a problem with Shiloh helping her? Sam says Kristina works at Charlie’s, and isn’t in a position to be giving money away. Kristina accuses her of being condescending. She hasn’t been asked for a dime. Shiloh has improved his life; she can’t do the same? Shiloh says, Sam is a caring sister, but Kristina asks, then why is every word out of her mouth prove she doubts Kristina can improve her life? She stomps off, and Shiloh tells Sam and Jason, the door is always open, but maybe this conversation is best continued later. He tells Jason, keep the book. He hopes to see him again soon. Jason says he will.

Curtis and Drew spar. Drew says, it was just a kiss, nothing more. Curtis says, a New Year’s Eve thing. Drew says if Curtis wants, he can ask Kim. Curtis says, if they both agree it was nothing, why does it need sorting out? Drew says he’s getting his gloves, and he’ll sort Curtis out. Curtis says, good luck with that.

Kim tells Elizabeth, whoever she is, she’s welcome to him. Julian is all hers.

Julian tells Alexis. it’s still raw. He doesn’t want to talk right now, and Alexis says, if it’s any consolation, whatever happened can’t be worse than what happened with them. She never wanted to see him again. The point is, here she is wanting what’s best for him, so maybe there’s hope for them.

Maxie meets Chet, and tells him that his text was intriguing; an unexpected development. Chet says he might be moving back to Port Charles. She asks when that happened, and he says a half hour ago when he was hired to run this place. She says, he’ll be working for Sonny? and he says, starting tomorrow. He knows the stories, but everyone exaggerates, don’t they? Maxie says, Sonny has his good side, but if he offers a promotion to work in his coffee warehouse, say no.

Mike thinks he should have gone with Sonny, but Stella thinks it’s best to sit and wait it out. She tells him, have some coffee, and he says she could have been a drill sergeant.

Sonny approaches Marcus at Turning Woods.

Kristina asks if Sam and Jason are gone, and tells Shiloh, sorry. He asks, why? and she says they were patronizing to her and rude to him. He says he was referring to her behavior. He doesn’t get it. They didn’t bring anger; the negativity came from within her. It doesn’t have to be that way; the way she chose to deal with them. He can teach her a different way to interface with the world around her, and teach her to be free of negativity. She asks, how? and he tells her, stick around. She might find out.

Jason tells Sam at least they got a look at Kristina’s living situation and relationship with the guy running the place. Sam says, Kristina practically worships him. Jason thinks Kristina is using Shiloh’s words, not hers. Sam says, too good to be true? and Jason says, he’s neither good nor true.

Lucy tells Scotty that she’s surprised Serena didn’t call her. He says she was going to call when she got home. Lucy can’t think of a time she ever heard a harsh word from Gail, although she gave Gail plenty of motivation. Scotty says, so did he, and Monica says, her too. Lucy says Gail was bedeviled in her life by her loved ones. Monica says, and she was gracious, but even saints can vent once in a while. Lucy wonders who they think gave Gail the most heartache. Scotty says, not him, and Monica says, not her. Lucy says, don’t look at her, and they all say, Tracy. Lucy says she’s going to miss Gail so much.

Alexis comes by the table, offering her condolences. She tells them Gail had called to change her will after Lee passed. Lucy asks if it can’t wait, but Alexis says she has to get the word out. Gail’s bequest involves them, among others.

🍲 Since Top Chef got bumped down to 8 pm, I missed most of it, but Tom thought it was the most difficult restaurant wars ever. The red team won $10K each (courtesy of Bluprint), with team leader Brian getting kudos for his chicken dish. Pablo and Nene had to pack their knives and go. IMO, both of them were a little whiny on their way to Last Chance Kitchen.

💰 The new season of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles began tonight. The Joshes are back to plague one another, along with James, David, and Tracy.

General Hospital

Sonny meets Jason at the MetroCourt. He’s going to surprise Carly, and take her to the city. He says he’s been dealing with a lot with his father, and wants Carly to know she comes first. Jason tells Sonny that his problem is with the DA.

Griff doesn’t want wear out his welcome, but Anna says he’s family. He doesn’t think she and Finn need a house guest. Finn comes in, bringing Emma with him, who’s a young lady now (same actress though – brava!).

Kim says Oscar is sleeping and smiling. You’d never know what he’s fighting. Drew suggests she get a meal and massage, and she asks why he’s trying to get rid of her. He says, it’s New Year’s Eve. Oscar wants her to have fun. He feels bad, keeping her hostage at the hospital. She says she’s not a hostage, she’s his mother. Drew tells her Oscar said she would say that, and wants her to prove she cares by going out. Julian isn’t Drew’s favorite person, but he thinks Julian is what she needs right now. Kim asks how he knows what she needs. They didn’t even know each other until last year. He says he’s learned a lot in one year.

Laura goes to The Floating Rib, and asks Felicia if she can talk for a few minutes. She asks if Felicia is willing answer a few questions about when Doc had a breakdown, and started stalking her.

Not-Doc sees the back of someone sitting in not his desk chair. He asks if he can help them. A man turns around, and says, he guesses by the look on not-Doc’s face, he never expected to see him again. Not-Doc says he guessed right.

Emma tells Anna that her mom said she’s fine with the visit, as long as they don’t engage in international espionage. She asks Griff for a hug, telling him that she heard about Kiki, and she’s sorry. Griff appreciates that. She tells him that he shouldn’t be alone on New Year’s Eve. He says he’s happiest at the hospital helping people, so he’ll probably be there. She asks him to join them tomorrow for New Year’s Day. She wonders what Finn is holding behind his back; is it for her? He hands her a beautiful hatbox – the kind you only see on a soap opera – and tells her, open it and find out. It’s a fascinator. Anna puts it on Emma’s head, and Finn takes a picture of the two of them.

Laura tells Felicia that she’s trying to understand what’s going on with Doc. Felicia says she and Mac are trying to figure it out too. Laura says, it makes no sense. She thinks he’s headed for another breakdown. Felicia says, normally, she’d tell Laura to talk to a shrink, but Doc is the best one she knows.

Not-Doc assumes Peyton is there about the documentary on his brother, and asks how it’s going. Peyton says, great, thanks to him. Not-Doc asks if he wants a follow-up interview. He can even narrate to make it more authentic. Peyton says he has that wrapped it up with his own authentication. He’s here to shoot exteriors, but would love for him look at a rough cut. Think of it as a private screening. Not-Doc has a few things to clear up first, but will catch up with him. He asks if Peyton is still working out of the rental space at the pier. He is, and not-Doc says he’ll see him later. Peyton leaves, and not-Doc looks at his tablet. He sees an Invader article about the murders.

Jason tells Sonny that Margaux wants to take him down. Sonny says she stopped Marcus from having his dad arrested. She has a long game, but if her short game works for his dad, it will work for all of them. Margaux approaches their table, asking if it’s too soon to wish them a happy New Year. Jason says they were just talking about her. He was about to tell Sonny that she gave Drew the flashdrive with his memories. He’s not sure what she thought she’d get out of it, and she says, maybe she was just doing the right thing. Jason says, maybe. He has to go, and jets. Margaux apologizes to Sonny, saying she didn’t mean to drive his friend away. Sonny says she couldn’t if she tried. She has no leverage with Jason like she does with Drew.

Kim tells Drew that he and Oscar are trying to get her to go out with Julian, and Julian insisted she spend the evening with Oscar. Drew says, that’s generous; almost selfless. He doesn’t know if he could do that. If it was him, he’d want to celebrate with the woman he loves.

Anna says she’s going to get Emma settled. Emma tells Griff that she’s available to dance, if wants to follow in his father’s footsteps. They go upstairs, and Griff says, it’s amazing. All it takes is a funny hat and a memory of his father in a tutu, and all is right in Emma’s world. Finn says, it’s a good place to be. He tells Griff, what he’s feeling, he’s been there. Griff appreciates everything they’re doing, but nothing seems to help. Finn agrees, saying, people care when you don’t want them to, and inflict caring when you want to curl up in a ball alone. You don’t realize it until later. Griff wants to believe that – more than anything. He leaves, and Finn says, happy New Year.

Laura thanks Felicia. She knows none of these are good memories. Felicia says that’s why she and Mac went on the cruise, to get some distance from the anniversary of the murders. But she realized that if she was running from the coverage, she’d still be running from Ryan. A quarter-century later, he would still be affecting her. So she decided to do an interview with a television producer who’s doing a documentary. Laura asks, why? and Felicia says it would be done with or without her. She wanted them to know that Ryan wasn’t intriguing or glamorous. He was just a monster.

When not-Doc comes into Peyton’s work room, the film is running. Felicia is saying she survived Ryan, and his attempt to exorcise his own demons. Peyton says he’d appreciate not-Doc’s thoughts, but it’s a work in progress. He thinks Felicia is beautiful, and it’s easy to see why Ryan was obsessed. Felicia says, they first met in Texas. He was calling himself Todd Wilson. She should have sensed something was deeply wrong. Not-Doc breaks a pencil, and Peyton asks if he’s okay. Not-Doc apologizes, saying he’s fine. Felicia is dear old friend, and Ryan was his brother; his twin. It’s a bond even death can’t break up. Peyton says twins always talk about a special connection. Felicia touches on it; it’s a compelling interview. Felicia says Ryan made her life a living hell. It’s fitting that he died in a hell of his own making; an inferno.

Felicia feels just as in the dark about Doc as Laura. Laura says they both know he’s a good man. If he’s not acting like himself, something is wrong. Laura checks her phone, and sees the Invader headline: Two Gruesome Killings – One Killer?

At the hospital, Griff looks at the same article.

Margaux says Jason doesn’t approve of her. Sonny asks if she can blame him. Everyone knows she doesn’t approve of Sonny. She says he has his moments. He made a very compelling argument that she was losing herself in her vendetta against him. She decided to turn things around. He asks if that’s why she gave Drew the flashdrive. She says she was wrong to hold something as sacred as someone’s life and memories as leverage to get something on Sonny. She’s glad it didn’t work out. Sonny says he almost believes that.

Jason shoots pool at The Floating Rib. A strange man approaches him, and asks if he’s Drew. He can’t believe it; it’s really him. Jason says he’s Jason Morgan; Drew is his twin. The guy says he didn’t know Drew had one. He’d said he was brought up in a state home. Jason says they didn’t know until year ago, and the guy says, it’s such a trip. He knew Drew in Afghanistan. He was an independent contractor, and there was a lot of overlap with the SEALs. He introduces himself as Hank, and asks, how about a game? Jason racks, and Hank asks if Drew is still a SEAL. Jason can’t say, and Hank tells him that he didn’t mean to pry. Jason suggests he ask Drew himself; he’s living in Port Charles. The guy says, what are the odds of that? Jason almost clears the table in one shot.

Drew tells Kim that he can take her home, and there’s plenty of time to get ready. She says she’s not going anywhere, and reminds him about being stuck in New Year’s traffic last year. She asks if he remembers finding the CD, and says, Oscar is such a romantic. He was convinced she kept it in hopes of finding him. Drew says, it makes sense. He’s heard about himself, and he was fantastic. She says he was all right. She tells Drew, that kid never gives up, and Drew says, just like his mom. She adds, and his dad.

Margaux tells Sonny that Drew didn’t want the flashdrive. He said the past is past, and was more concerned about what’s best for his son right now. Sonny says, the kid’s got guts. It’s a shame he’s so young. Margaux says, it’s a shame for anyone; a kid or a jazz lover like Sonny’s dad. Sonny is grateful, and Margaux says he’s welcome, but wants it to be clear. He says, she’s the DA, and he’s an alleged criminal. Margaux says, alleged, and Sonny says, nothing has changed.

Emma gives Anna a bulldog keychain, and a bearded dragon keychain to Finn. She says the keys are to Anna’s house; it’s symbolic. Anna says, it’s very thoughtful, and Finn thanks her. She says she’ll leave them to discuss things. When she’s gone, Finn says he didn’t have the heart to tell her that he already has a key. Anna says, it’s not so much the gesture as the symbolism. Emma is saying that Finn should move in with her – again.

Griff is waiting at Doc’s office, and Laura asks if there’s a line. Griff says he’s not there. A shrink is like a cop or priest. There’s never one around when you need them. She’s glad she ran into him, and asks if he read Lulu’s article. He says that’s why he’s there; he needs answers. He thought someone who has looked into the darkest corner of the soul, and made a study, maybe… Laura says, maybe he can understand why Kiki had to die?

Doc is being interviewed in the film. Peyton asks what Doc can tell him about his brother. Doc says, he was misunderstood, like any artist, and he was an artist in his own way. He was too sensitive for this world. His pain was so intense, he needed others to feel it too. Like Goya and Van Gogh needed to experience it themselves to be appreciated. Not-Doc says, quite powerful, but he would cut all the stuff about Todd Wilson, and just focus on Ryan in Port Charles. Peyton says that would mean leaving out Gloria Wilson’s murder. Not-Doc suggests he just say Ryan killed his wife. Why mention Todd Wilson when there’s no such person? Peyton says, or is there? The funhouse is now a coffee franchise, and you’d never know it was there, which is fitting. Not one speck of Ryan’s DNA was found. That’s what inspired his ending. He asks if not-Doc would like a sneak peek. Not-Doc says, more than he could possibly know.

Hank tells Jason, good thing he didn’t bet money. He doesn’t remember Drew being this good. Jason says they’ve never played. Hank asks if Jason has Drew’s information. He wants to get in touch. Jason suggests he get Hank’s information, and he’ll pass it along. Hank grabs a napkin and pen, and writes it down. He says, tell Drew his buddy Hank is looking for him. He’ll remember. Jason says, memory is a funny thing, and takes a shot, finishing the game. Hank says remind him never to shoot pool with Jason again, and asks if he wants a rematch. Jason has somewhere to be, and Hank says, next time. When Jason is out of earshot, he calls Sam, saying there’s a quick change in plans. He needs to make a stop before coming over.

Margaux tells Sonny, don’t make problems for her, and she won’t for him. She has bigger fish to fry. He asks if she means a possible serial killer. She says two isolated homicides don’t make a serial killer, but he says, not according to the article. She says all it is, are theories. The police have yet make a connection between Kiki and Mary Pat’s murders. Sonny says, that doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

Finn wonders if 2018 went uphill or downhill since his and Anna’s last New Year’s Eve. She says Cassandra tried to kill him, and he says Cassandra’s henchman tried to kill her. She says they lost Nathan. He remembers her pain, and he’s sorry he couldn’t take it away. Anna says he did. He says, not a lot, and she says, enough. She tells him that she found her son, and he says, pointing a gun at her. Anna asks, who hasn’t at some point? Finn tells her, on one hand, her fearlessness is attractive; on the other hand, it makes him realize how much he’d hate to lose her. She says she’s not going anywhere. Emma comes back downstairs, and asks if they’ve reached any important life decisions, like asking Finn to move in. Anna says she’s oddly old-fashioned, and thinks it should be up to him. Finn says, it’s 2018. He’s not sure that it’s necessary for the man to propose, and Anna quickly tells Emma, he means moving in. Finn says, there are no rules anymore for cohabitation; someone just asks. He begins to stumble over his words, says, yeah, and walks out. Anna says, did he just leave?

Griff doesn’t think they should just walk into Doc’s office, and Laura asks what Griff thinks he’ll do; get moodier? She just has one quick question, then Griff can talk to him. Doc took an oath to help people in pain. Griff is thinking of going to the gym; he just wants to smash something. To think it might be the same person, and the start of a pattern with more victims. He wants justice, but at the same time, it seems pointless. Any justice that comes will be too late for Kiki.

Not-Doc tells Peyton not to keep him in suspense; show him the ending. Peyton says it’s not taped yet. It just occurred to him last night. He hasn’t told another soul. He puts the film back on. Peyton is talking to the camera.What if Ryan didn’t die in the funhouse? No way out? What if there was a trap door, or the blast itself propelled him to safety? What if he walks among them? What does he look like? Perhaps anyone. Even me. Even you.

Sonny tells Margaux that he’s taking Carly to the city tonight, but just so she knows, Kiki was family. So if she needs help with whoever did this, all she has to do is ask. Margaux asks if he’ll reach out to his contacts in the legitimate coffee import business. He says he’s just trying help. He means what he said about paying back debts. Margaux says he owes her nothing, and she’s not sure they can ever be even. Some debts can’t be repaid. Some things can’t be taken back. He’s sorry she feels that way, and she says, it is what it is. He starts to leave, and she tells him, have a happy New Year. He says, same to her.

Kim tells Drew that she’s going to check on Oscar. He says he’ll go next; they can be a tag team. Oscar can spend double the time with his parents; he’ll love it. She says they’re getting good at it, but wishes they didn’t have to be. She leaves for Oscar’s room, and Jason comes in. He asks how Oscar is, and Drew says he’s sleeping, but all things considered, he’s pretty good. Jason doesn’t want to give him anything else to deal with, but a guy approached him at The Floating Rib, claiming he thought Jason was Drew. Drew says Jason doesn’t believe him, and Jason says he was too anxious to tell his story. He hands Drew the napkin, saying the guy said he used to call him Hank. Drew looks at the napkin.

Hank shoots pool badly by himself. He ponders while drinking a beer.

Emma tells Anna that she wanted the keychain to convince Finn to move back in. Anna says she wants that, and Emma asks if she doesn’t want it too. Anna says, he’s very tidy. Emma hopes she didn’t hurt his feelings, but Anna says he understands she meant well. It’s just that men like to think they make their own decisions. Emma says, then they should make them faster. Anna tells her, they’re not all the same. Some are more anxious and tightly wound souls, like Finn. It’s best not to push them. Finn let’s himself in, carrying a suitcase and Roxie’s cage. He says he used his keychain. So do they want him to move in or not? Anna and Emma say, yes! and Finn and Anna hug.

Laura tells Griff that she was never one to believe evil wins out. That’s why she chose to run for mayor. He says, to fight evil? and she says, to do some good. She’s sure she sounds naïve, and Griff says not to him, but he probably sounds naïve to a lot of people. She says they have that in common. She wants to make the world a better place. She’s sure he wanted that when he chose be a priest and doctor. He says he took an oath to do no harm, but if he could get his hands on the person who killed Kiki, and take a life for a life, part of him thinks he’d be doing the Lord’s work.

Not-Doc says, it’s a heck of an ending. Has he screened it for anyone else? Peyton says, not yet. When it’s put together, it’s going to be a real eye opener. Not-Doc says, that it might. Peyton asks what he thinks, and not-Doc says he has a few notes, and closes the door.

Tomorrow, Kim tells Drew that Oscar was conceived on New Year’s Eve, not-Doc says he’ll see if anyone is looking for Peyton tonight, and Laura tells Scotty that Doc is sleeping with Ava.

🍗 On Top Chef, the remaining twelve were surprised to hear they were going into restaurant wars in Lexington. On previous seasons, the wars didn’t happen until they were down to eight contestants, but this time, there would be three restaurants instead of two, with the teams already decided. First, a Quickfire challenge was in order. It was an amuse bouche-based challenge, and the chefs had to come up with the quick, perfect bite, that begins a meal to get you wanting more. Michelle won immunity with what Padma deemed, one beautiful bite. When the teams were divided, training the staff seemed to be harder than the cooking, with few having prior experience, and not many of them retaining what they had just learned. The show ended just as the chefs were about to open their restaurants, and Tom threw them a curveball, telling them it would be a double elimination.

General Hospital

Bobbie arrives at Sonny’s with Brad Lucas and Wiley. Sonny holds him.

On the phone, Sam says she doesn’t know who’s using her alias. She sent an email, and got an even weirder response. The call gets cut off. Alexis is at the door, wondering where Sam is. Sam had to drop the kids off, and is running late. Alexis says she has to ask Sam to make her apologies. She won’t be able to watch Sam become Wiley’s godmother.

Chase meets Willow at Charlie’s, He thinks it’s an interesting choice for a second date. She tells him it’s the closest he’ll get to her making him breakfast. Not that they… She tells her students, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Chase says, and if the date doesn’t work out, the rest of the day is still salvageable. She says she’s free all day; they’re on break. He promises to make sure no parents are lurking around, but she’s already checked. It’s a parent-free zone.

Valentin tells Nina, good morning. She says, it’s better than good.

At the MetroCourt, Maxie leaves a message for Nina. They had a breakfast meeting; where is she? It had better be super important. Peter approaches the table. He says they haven’t set a date for diner yet, and suggests tomorrow night. She says she’s washing her hair; what about Saturday? He agreed to meet someone at the mall that day. She gets a message from Anna, and tells Peter that Obrecht is being transferred to Pentonville. It must make his day.

Obrecht is brought into the interrogation room. She says she’d rather wait in the snow, and Finn asks if that’s an option. She asks Anna if she’s come to gloat at the woman duped into saving her ill daughter who was never ill. Anna says Obrecht did save her. Not the way she’d planned, but Britt is free and out of prison. Finn shows her proof. Anna appreciates Obrecht’s concern for her daughter, and she’s sure Obrecht appreciates her concern for her son. Jordan says the van is ready, and if Obrecht is thinking about another escape, think again. It will never happen. Obrecht says a famous doctor, a legendary spy, and a decorated officer. You’d think they’d have learned never say never.

Sonny jokes that Wiley can always stay with him as the godfather. Brad asks Carly if that should make him nervous. Josslyn comes in, calling it a hipster baptism, and Michael says, it’s a naming ceremony. A celebration of Wiley and his place in the family. The house phone rings. Josslyn answers. She tells Sonny Julian is there.

Alexis tells Sam that she has to appear in person for a case. Sam says she’s sure they’ll understand, but she could have just called. Alexis says she wanted to see Sam, then admits she wanted to see Kristina. Sam says she’s not there. Alexis asks if they talked about her, and how mad is Kristina? Sam says they didn’t talk about her, and on a scale of one to ten, it’s from an eight to an eleven. Alexis says she didn’t accuse Kristina of anything. Sam says it’s not a good idea to jump to conclusions, but understands why Alexis has reason to mistrust Kristina. She sees it from both sides. She doesn’t want to get stuck in the middle, and Kristina doesn’t want her advice any more than she wants Alexis’s.

Nina tells Valentin that she has to… She looks at her phone, and realizes she’s ridiculously late. He tells her to stay. She’s going to have to apologize anyway. Nina says at least she gets to come home to him. She’s accepted he’s her home. Valentin says she’s his. She says, even though Sasha is in Chappaqua, she’s still in her heart, and she has Valentin to thank. She’ll thank him forever for bringing them together.

Peter knows Maxie’s feelings toward Obrecht are conflicted. Maxie says, that’s an understatement. Obrecht deserves to go to prison, but Maxie also understands she acted out of grief. Nathan’s death was too much for her, and she has no family or friends to turn to. So she’s not surprised Obrecht flipped out. Peter says it sounds like she’s still struggling. She says Obrecht is also Nathan’s mom, and she knows, no matter what, Nathan wouldn’t want his mother going to prison. She’s James’s grandmother. What is she supposed to tell him? Peter’s phone rings. He says it’s not important.

Jordan tells Obrecht that they’re well-aware of what happened last time, but Obrecht says she was a helpless prisoner; a victim of an unfortunate accident. Jordan says, unfortunate for the two guards. She’s lucky they survived. Obrecht says that’s more than can be said for her son. Nathan is dead. The chain of events was set in motion by Anna’s son, and he was never punished. Anna says, he was; Obrecht saw to that. Obrecht asks who she thinks she’s fooling. This is about Anna getting back at her; not justice. Finn says it is about justice. She had a right to grieve, but not take revenge. Them bringing her back was legal, and she’s going to stand trial. Hopefully, she’ll be convicted, and that will be justice.

Julian asks what Lucas is doing at Sonny’s. Lucas says, he doesn’t know? Julian says, looks like a family celebration. Sonny tells him not to make trouble, and he says he’s there to pick up Avery. It’s Ava’s day, and with all that’s happened, she thought it best if he came. Sam walks in. She didn’t know Julian was on the guest list. He explains again why he’s there. Sonny says Ava is in no condition, but Julian says she loves Avery as much as he does. Sonny thinks Avery should be celebrating with her family, and not dealing with Ava’s grief. Carly says, it’s not Avery’s job to make Ava feel better. Sonny says she’s just a child. Josslyn finds Avery, who’s been listening, and wonders if she’s done something wrong.

Avery asks if her mommy is still sad, and Julian says, a little; she misses Avery. Avery asks if she’s sad about Kiki, and Michael says they’ll all be sad about Kiki for a long time. Carly asks if Avery wants to see her mommy, and Avery says she does. Carly tells Sonny, it’s what she wants. Sonny says she can’t be alone, and Julian says he’ll be there. Carly takes Avery to get ready. Julian congratulates Brad and Lucas. He leaves to wait for Avery. Michael needs some Wiley time, and Lucas gives Wiley to him.

Bobbie thanks Sonny for not having Julian thrown out, like he deserves. He thought she was into peaceful coexistence, and she says, it’s easier from a distance.

Chase asks if Willow is finished Christmas shopping, and she says she hasn’t begun. She likes the last minute thing though. He tells he that’s a sign of mental illness, but she says she likes the energy, music, and decorations. Chase says, parking and long lines. She tells him that she doesn’t have much of a list. He says his mom is Christmas crazy. Their house is like the mall the entire month. Willow says Christmas wasn’t a big deal for her growing up; long story. He says he has the time, and would like to know.

Maxie tells Peter about a serious conflict over James’s Christmas outfit. He’s totally distracted, and she asks if something is wrong. He says there’s something he has to do, but he hasn’t forgotten about dinner. She says the week is full of Christmas parties, and he says he wants it to be special. Maybe they should wait until after the holidays, and do it right. He promises it will be worth the wait.

Brad tells Julian he would have invited him if he could have. This day wouldn’t have happened without him. Julian is just glad he and Lucas have their son. Brad says they both know that’s not entirely true, and Julian says he has to stop torturing himself. All that matters is that Wiley is where he deserves and needs to be. Avery is ready to go. Sonny takes her to Julian.

On the phone, Nina says, it’s completely unforgivable; there’s no excuse. Valentin comes in, and asks what’s wrong. She asks him if he thought he could fool her forever. Did he think she’d be so crazy in love, she’d never find out the truth? How long as she been blackmailing him? Valentin says Obrecht is crazy, and Nina says Obrecht told her everything. How he got a stranger to masquerade as her daughter. Both Valentin’s and my heart sink. How he faked the DNA test. How he used her deepest, darkest pain to get her back in bed. She slaps him. He’s only been fantasizing, and walks in again.

He asks Nina, what’s unforgivable? and she says she is. She blew off her breakfast meeting with Maxie. Valentin and I both breathe a sigh of relief. She tells him she’s not even sorry, and kisses him.

Jordan tells Obrecht, next stop, Pentonville. Obrecht tells her, so she says. Peter comes in, saying he’s here for Obrecht. Obrecht says she’s about to go to prison, but he says, there’s been a mistake. Anna says they have plenty of security this time. He says he wants to make a statement before there’s a terrible miscarriage of justice. Jordan says they have his signed statement. He said Obrecht drugged him, kept him tied up in a cabin for weeks, and left him to die in a fire. He says, that time was overwhelming. He was hallucinating, and in the throes of a fever. He couldn’t distinguish fantasy from reality. Finn says the only hallucinations he was having were from the drugs Obrecht gave him. Anna says they have the surveillance tape, but Peter says, that proves nothing. They need his statement. Without it, they can’t send her to prison. Anna asks what he’s doing. He says, the more he thinks about it, the less he can trust his memories. Jordan says his DNA was in the cabin. They pulled him out of the fire at Windymere. He was dehydrated and malnourished, and had bruising consistent with restraints. He says he was in the cabin, because Obrecht wanted him to write another book in Nathan’s memory.  She kept him alive while they tried to make sense of Nathan’s loss. They have to let her go.

Nina tells Valentin she loves him. She isn’t standing in the way of their happiness anymore. They’re spending Christmas together. Maybe Sasha could come for Christmas Eve, and they could spend it as a family. He’s given that to her – a family. It’s the most important gift. He tells her there’s something she has to know.

Willow says her childhood was unconventional. Her mother was a free spirit, who raised her alone. She often had to work on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, or both. He thinks it’s sounds lonely, but she says they were a team. He asks if she has other family, and she says they’re not close. He reminds her of the flyer for grieving parents she had in her car when they met, and asks if she knew someone who lost a child. She says, as a teacher, she tries to keep up with things that might affect her students and their families. Anything else, detective? He says he didn’t mean to interrogate her; he wants to get to know her.

Julian brings Avery to Charlie’s. Her mommy isn’t feeling well, so she’s taking a nap. Avery says, no nap, but he says, not her. Her mommy is taking a nap, and she’s going to help him run the place. He makes her his assistant manager. He says she has to make sure his customers are happy. She runs to Chase and Willow’s table, and introduces herself.

Bobbie has never been asked to preside at a naming ceremony before, and thinks it’s fitting that the first time should be her grandson. He has the perfect name, and he couldn’t have a better role model than Sam. She’s honored to be chose to be Wiley’s godmother, and promises to do whatever she can to help him make his way in the world, and love him unconditionally. When he gets lost, just look around and know she and his godfather will be there. Lucas thanks Michael for agreeing to be Wiley’s godfather.

Michael says it’s a gift to be a part of Wiley’s life, and he fell in love with Wiley the first time he saw him. He’s a reminder of everything good in the world, and if he can be an extra pair of arms to hold him, he’s honored to be Wiley’s godfather. Bobbie welcomes Wiley Cooper Jones to the family, and hopes he cherishes his name as much as all of them will always cherish him. Josslyn says every important occasion needs an accessory, and puts a Hello, My Name Is… tag on him. Brad takes a picture of Lucas and Wiley.

Willow introduces herself to Wiley. Chase says they’ve met before. He asks if she remembers him bringing her home when she spent the night with her grandfather in the stable. Julian comes over to apologize, but Chase says, no problem. Julian says she’s there until her nanny comes. She’s in charge of customer satisfaction. He asks if she wants to taste test the cocoa. She leaves with Julian, and Chase says kids seem to chase Willow.

Anna asks Obrecht what she has on Peter. How did she get him to change his story? Jordan says Peter signed his new statement in front of the DA. Without his testimony they just have circumstantial evidence. She has no choice but to release her.

Nina ask Valentin what it is. He says he was given a new beginning. He wants that more than anything, but if they’re going to start with a clean slate, he has to be honest. He’s made mistakes. His phone rings. She says ignore it, but he says he can’t. It’s Obrecht. She tells him that Peter recanted his testimony, and she’s a free woman. She’ll keep her word, and no one will ever know he passed off a counterfeit as a long lost daughter. Merry Christmas, Heir Cassadine. Nina asks who that was. He just half-smiles.

On the terrace, Josslyn asks Michael why every happy moment makes you think about the people who aren’t there to share it. That’s a good question, but it’s probably because you notice they’re not there. He says, it goes with the territory. That’s why they have to hold on to happy moments. She says, like every moment she has with Oscar, and every moment he has with his godson. He looks though the window at Wiley.

The nanny comes. Avery says she had fun. Julian says he did too. He takes her outside. Chase checks his watch, and Willow wonders if he’s bored. He says she might be on vacation, but the PCPD doesn’t get a holiday. She says, duty calls, and he says, unfortunately. She tells him that she’s sticking around to do some Christmas shopping, and he says, in that case, he’s a medium. She says, don’t get your hopes up, and he says, too late.

Valentin tells Nina that was Santa Claus. She asks why he’s smiling, and he says, her. He was a clever fool; knowing what he wanted, and how to get it. Then she came along. He has her now, and he’s never letting her go. They kiss.

Maxie sees Obrecht, and asks if she escaped, and is hiding in plain sight. That’s not going to work. Obrecht tells her, everything is all right. All the charges are kaput. Maxie asks what happened, and Obrecht says, Peter revised his statement. He’s 100% sure that she didn’t kidnap and torture him.  He realized a deeper truth happened in the cabin. Someone must have appealed to his conscience. She’s grateful, because now, she has all the time in the world to get to know James.

Jordan has to confirm with the warden that she won’t be transferring Obrecht. Unless Peter is changing his statement again. Peter hands her the paper, and says, justice has been served. She says not from where she’s standing. Anna asks him to wait. Finn says he’ll make some calls. Anna asks why he did it. His entire life has been built on hatred. He was either trying to please his father, or running from his legacy. Coming that close to death taught him there’s another way to live, and his nephew has shown him innocence still exists. Maxie has shown him there’s room for forgiveness. He tried to be the man Nathan would have wanted him to be. She asks if his forgiveness is only for others, or is there a tiny bit left for her?

Sam comes home, and opens her laptop. She writes an email to Linda Black. Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t need any help.

Nina says she’ll never get to work. He says he’s never letting her go. She says, what a coincidence. She’s never going to leave.

Anna tells Peter she’s having a Christmas Eve party thing at her house, and he’s invited. If he wants to come. She jets, and he ponders.

Obrecht looks at pictures of James. She can’t wait to hold him again. She wishes that Nathan… Maxie says, life can be horribly unfair. James will never know his father, and Michael will never know his baby. His and Nelle’s baby was stillborn. Obrecht says, really? How dreadful.

Lucas thanks Sonny and Carly for hosting. It’s a day he’s never going to forget. Josslyn says she’s available for babysitting. Lucas thanks Michael for stepping up. Michael says, hopefully the day will never come, but God forbid Wiley is ever in his care, he promises to treat him like his own son.

Chase gets a call from the station. Julian looks at the picture of Lucas and Wiley on his phone. Willow sees it, and tears up. She and Chase leave. She looks back at Julian, who looks pained. Is she the birth mother whose child really died?

Tomorrow, Jordan wishes she had better news for Stella, Bobbie says they have a Santa-sized problem, and Mike is waiting for his best girl to show up.

🍲 On tonight’s Top Chef, the contestants were to create a traditional French Christmas dinner, where chef Eric Ripert was their guest. Baking is often not a chef’s forte, and they all seemed to get hung up when it came to dessert. Eric called their desserts offensive, and Tom summed up the episode rather neatly. They all messed up, they know they messed up, and they didn’t do anything about it.

🍷 Andy Cohen is having a two-part special on Watch What Happens Live. The first part of O Come OG Faithful aired tonight, and Part Two will air on Sunday at 11:30 pm. The fun included a trip down Memory Lane, iconic moments, catch phrases (bloop!), games, and plenty of shade. Teresa, Kyle, Ramona, Nene, and Vicki were the guests, while Vicki’s son Michael bartended. Bethenny was also listed in the TV Guide, but I have no clue what happened there. It was a good time, but I wish it could have been a little longer.

🎄 Since I have a lot of Christmas goings-on, I’m not sure what will be up with tomorrow. For sure, I’ll be bringing you Z Nation, if not tomorrow, on Saturday, but GH might be very encapsulated. It remains to be seen…

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Maxie asks Nina if everything is okay. Nina says, better than okay. Her daughter said she loved her. Maxie says, wonderful, but Nina tells her that she said it while saying goodbye.

Valentin asks Peter if he’d like a drink, but Peter wants him to get to the point. What’s this about Obrecht? Valentin says the PCPD is charging her with abduction and unlawful imprisonment, and Peter is going to refuse to testify.

Curtis meets Sam at Kelly’s, and asks, what’s up? She says, him first. How did things go with Stella? He says she wasn’t thrilled with them showing up at Turning Woods, and him trying to be slick, saying he was there to see her, while Sam snooped around. Sam supposes he couldn’t get her to tell him more about the newspaper subscription, but he says, no; she did. She asked Marcus if he ordered it for his wife, but he had no idea what she was talking about. They assumed a well-meaning caregiver got a subscription in her name – or that’s what someone wants them to think. Sam says she called the paper again, and said she was Yvonne wanting to confirm the name on the account. Curtis says, let him guess. No dice. She says, trust only goes so far in Galina, but don’t sweat it. There may be another way.

Kim comes into Charlie’s, where Julian meets her with a cortado, double shot. Kim says there’s no coffee in her apartment. She did a scavenger hunt, and even looked in the decorative container she only looks in once a year. I have containers like that too. She thought, even if she found it, what’s the point? She has no milk. That shows how long it’s been since she’s gone shopping. Julian says he’s there to help; he means it. Kim says it means more than he knows. She has to get back to the hospital to be with Oscar. He tells her, go, and she jets.

Josslyn quizzes Oscar on famous people. A nurse comes in, and says it’s time for his test. Josslyn says he didn’t touch breakfast, and he says he’s not very hungry. Drew helps him up and out, and Oscar goes with the nurse. Sonny approaches Drew in the hallway.

Carly tells Jason that he just missed Sonny; he went to visit Oscar. Jason asks how Josslyn is, and Carly says, good. Outside of sleep and school, she’s been at Oscar’s bedside. She thinks she can will him back to health. Jason is sure Oscar appreciates the support. Carly doesn’t mind, but she’s concerned about the toll it’s taking on Josslyn, especially if he… Jason says she’s strong enough to get through anything, but Carly says, just because you’re strong doesn’t mean your heart can’t break. The house phone rings, and Carly says, you’re kidding? She’s walking to door. Jason asks if everything’s okay. She doubts it. She opens the door to Margaux.

Valentin asks Peter to listen to him. Peter asks why he should, and Valentin says, because the water is cold, and if he doesn’t want to swim to the mainland, he’ll give Valentin two minutes. Peter says, fine. let’s say he had a change of heart about the woman who imprisoned and tortured him for months. Say he doesn’t want her behind bars, where she belongs. What is he supposed to say to the police? Valentin says, off the top of his head, Peter didn’t get good look at the person holding him captive. Peter says, there were witnesses. People saw Obrecht after she set fire to the stables – with him and Valentin’s wife inside. Remember Nina? Valentin ran into the blaze to get her out. Valentin says Peter went into the stables of his own volition. He was on the run, after all. Peter says, malnourished and gravely injured. Valentin isn’t making sense. Valentin tells him, make up something; he is the writer. He just wants the charges against Obrecht dropped. Peter asks why he cares. Obrecht must have something really incriminating on him.

Maxie brings Nina coffee. Nina says she and Sasha had breakfast at Kelly’s. Maxie says she’s going to miss Sasha at the magazine. She did a great job. She’s bright and capable, and that will take her a long way. Nina agrees. She doesn’t blame Sasha for leaving. First, she’s drugged by Ava Jerome; then her sister is killed, and she’s brought in for questioning. Not to mention, the murderer is still at large. Maxie says, tell her about it. She was still at the wedding when they found Kiki’s body. Nina says sorry she had to deal with that alone. Maxie says she wasn’t exactly alone. Other people were there; cops and stuff. But enough about her. She wishes Sasha could have stuck it out longer. It’s probably because she was staying at Windymere. She doesn’t know Valentin well. Although it’s not like she was alone. Nina says, no more alone than Maxie was alone at the wedding.

Cameron introduces himself to Julian. He heard there might be a position as a busboy. Julian tells him that he needs parental permission to give a teenager a job , and he has the feeling Cameron’s mom doesn’t want him working there. Cameron says she’ll be cool when he tells her why. Oscar is going to be in the hospital for a while, and Cameron wants to make sure he still has a job when he’s better.

Josslyn makes up Oscar’s hospital bed when he leaves for some tests. Kim tells her that she doesn’t have to do that, but she says she doesn’t mind. The nurses have enough to do, and should focus on getting Oscar better. She sees the tray of untouched food, and says he didn’t eat dinner either. Kim says loss of appetite can be a side effect, but Josslyn says, he needs to eat. Kim says they’ll figure something out. Josslyn knows his favorite foods from Charlie’s, and offers to get something to go. Kim knows she wants take care of Oscar, but she needs to take care of herself too. Kim asks, how about getting some rest, and Josslyn asks if that’s what Kim is going to do.

Drew sees Sonny at the hospital, and asks if everything is okay with Mike. Sonny says Mike is all right. He’s there to see how Drew’s kid is doing. Drew says Oscar is having tests done, but if Sonny wants to stick around, he knows Oscar would appreciate it. Sonny says Oscar is a great kid, and means the world to Josslyn. He wants Drew to know if they need anything, just say so.

Jason tells Margaux, we meet again. Is she there to talk to him? She says she’s there to see Sonny, but Carly says he’s not there. Margaux says Sonny loaned her his scarf, and she wanted to return it.

Curtis tells Sam, whoever bought the subscription, did it online. He can input the account number, and click forgot password. When they get the email address, Spinelli can work his magic, and trace the IP address. He gets on the laptop, and it tells him where the new password info was sent. It’s too bad it doesn’t work like that. It would have said a new password was sent to the email address on file, but okay. He says, Linda Black. Does Sam know her? Sam says, quite well. She’s Sam.

Drew sees Kim, and asks how she’s holding up. She says she had no coffee in her apartment, which is symbolic of her life right now. The doctor in her knows she should just take nap. Drew asks why she doesn’t, and she says she doesn’t want to be away from Oscar. She just wants to hold on to every memory. She apologizes for the poor choice of words, but Drew says, it’s fine. He has some news she should know. Kim asks if it’s about his memories, and he says his memories are closer than he realized.

Margaux tells Carly that she ran into Sonny at their son’s grave. Carly asks if she happened to be loitering there, and Margaux says her father is buried nearby. Carly says, that’s right. Margaux deliberately chose the spot so they wouldn’t forget. Margaux says she and Sonny got to talking about the people they missed. He noticed she was cold, and lent her the scarf. Carly tells Margaux, leave it there, and she’ll walk her out. Margaux says, that’s not necessary, but Carly insists. Margaux tells her to thank Sonny, and Carly closes the door. Jason tells her, count to ten, but Carly says, the hell she will. What was Sonny thinking?

Oscar is back in his room, and Sonny asks Josslyn if the prisoner is allowed visitors. Josslyn says Oscar is all his. Sonny tells Oscar he wanted to see how he was doing. Oscar says Sonny probably won’t unload on him, since he’s in the hospital. He made Sonny a promise that he wouldn’t hurt Josslyn, and he hurt her on purpose, but he was trying to protect her. Sonny knows what it’s like to protect the people you love, even if you go about it the wrong way. If Josslyn understands, he does too.

Julian tells Cameron that Oscar’s job will be waiting whenever he comes back. Cameron says he’ll leave Julian a copy of his information in case he needs someone next summer. Josslyn walks in, and tells Cameron she’s picking up an order for Oscar. Why is he here? He says making sure Oscar’s job isn’t given away while he’s in the hospital. Josslyn says that’s cool of him. She’s glad they can still be friends.

Sam tells Curtis that Linda Black was one of her aliases. He asks if she used it while she was married to Leland, and she says, no. She used a different identity diff id every time, and never used the same name again. Curtis says they seriously need to rethink this case. Somebody knows about her past, and is using it to get her attention.

Carly says, that woman is lurking at her son’s grave, and Sonny gives her a scarf? Jason says Sonny feels guilty. Carly says he had no regrets until Margaux’s one-woman crusade to defend daddy. Margaux wants to put her head on her husband’s shoulder, and make him feel guilty, and the worst part is, Sonny is falling for it. Jason asks if she knows why he is, and she says, don’t know, don’t care. Jason says, Margaux lost her father when she was a little girl, and because Sonny is losing his own father, it makes him vulnerable. She says, that makes it worse. They can fight with each other about it, but Margaux will exploit that. She hates it that Jason is right. She wants to unload on Sonny, but can’t, even though he’s being an insensitive ass. Jason says he’s grieving over Mike, and she knows how grief messes with your head. She knows that more than anybody.

Oscar tells Sonny that his visit means a lot. Sonny asks if Oscar wants to get rid of him already. Oscar says, no, and Sonny says he’s joking. He tells Oscar to use his energy to get better. He asks if Oscar remembers when they first met. Oscar stood up to him. He wanted to protect Josslyn because he cared about her, like now. It takes guts. He asks Oscar to promise him something. He wants Oscar to stand up to the disease the way he stood up to Sonny. Can he promise to do that? Oscar promises, and they shake hands.

Josslyn tells Cameron that she ordered Oscar’s favorites online, and lists what she ordered. Cameron say she’s making him hungry, and she wishes Oscar felt that way. It’s a side effect of the treatment; he doesn’t want to eat. Cameron suggests he try weed. He’s read it can help with cancer patients. Julian is on the phone, looking for someone to do odd jobs, like running errands, a few days a week.

Valentin tells Peter, they have nothing on him. Peter says Valentin wants Obrecht released because of his generous spirit? Valentin says he might loathe Obrecht, but she’s one of the few family members Nina has in town. Peter says he has no intention of setting the women free who tried to murder him. Valentin says if not for him, for Maxie.

Nina tells Maxie that she asked Peter to be her date, so Maxie wouldn’t be tempted. Maxie says, at least she didn’t move in with him, and Nina says It’s her maternal duty to protect Sasha. She tells Maxie they’re two amazing, intelligent, strong – and gorgeous – females, who make their own decisions and stick to them. Maxie says, every time they decide to stay away from certain people, they find their way back to them.

Sam tells Curtis, they might be trying to reenter her life. He wonders if it’s an old mark, or someone connected to them, whose holding a grudge. Sam says, Amelia Coffey; her father was Sam’s last mark. He attacked her, and she had to kill him in self-defense, but they made peace. She’ll have to call Spinelli, so he can do a background check, but Sam doesn’t think it’s her. He asks if any of Sam’s other husbands have kids. Sam say she’d marry them, and ghost out. They never knew her real name, so there’s no way their kids would know. Curtis says, so she thought. Someone did. Jason walks in.

Valentin says Peter can’t deny he has strong feelings for Maxie, although she keeps him at arm’s length. Peter says they’ve made progress, but Valentin asks how long it’s going to last? The holidays are coming, her first without her husband. Maybe it would be better for him to be a good Samaritan, and set Nathan’s mother free. He can’t make Maxie’s family whole, but he can fix one part. Imagine Obrecht home, playing with her grandson. It would be a great Christmas present, and they can start the new year with a fresh beginning for him and Maxie. Peter says he needs time to think it over, and Valentin tells him, think fast.

Maxie tells Nina, no judgement. When Peter brought her home, she was trying to be brave, but in the morning, she found he’d slept in hallway to keep them safe, and felt relived. Nina says they thought Peter had all that baggage, but the truth is, he didn’t have any. Maxie says, Nathan didn’t either… except and ex-wife she found out about later. Nina says Maxie had baggage, and Maxie says, two full sets and a foot locker. Nina doesn’t love the idea of Maxie and Peter being together, but she has no say. She thinks Maxie needs some light in her life, and owes it to herself to see if they can work it out. Maxie says she’s happy they can talk about it, and asks, what’s really going on with Valentin? Nina says it was nice being at Windymere with Charlotte and Valentin, even if she was in the guest room. Maxie asks where that leaves the two of them?

Jason is sorry to interrupt, but Curtis says he’s not. He has to make a call. He goes outside, and Jason asks if he can join Sam. She says, please, and he asks if she’s spoken to Drew. She asks, why? Is everything okay with Oscar? Jason says, Drew has the flashdrive. He can get his memories back.

Kim asks Drew if Margaux just gave him the flashdrive after all this time, and he says, pretty much. Kim says he’s now holding the key to his past. It’s what he’s been searching for, for a year and a half. Why isn’t he beating down Andre’s door? He says he has a lot to lose. His memories of the past several years mean the world to him, especially the ones of his daughter and son. He can’t risk losing them.

Sonny comes home, and sees the scarf. He asks where it came from, and Carly says, Margaux dropped it off.

Cameron tells Josslyn that medical marijuana is legal in their state, but highly regulated, and they’re very strict in what it’s prescribed for. Josslyn thinks it’s weird that Terry wouldn’t prescribe it if she knew it would help. Cameron says he went into the trial at the last minute. Maybe there wasn’t enough time to go through the steps. Josslyn says, for a second, she thought they’d found a way to help. She leaves, and we all know what Cameron is going to do.

On the phone, Julian says he wants it to be a surprise, so no card.

Kim says, sorry. It’s an important choice that Drew is making. Drew says, not really. He doesn’t want to lose a single moment with his kids. He thinks she’d do the same thing. Kim just looks at him, and he says, what’s up? She has a confession to make. She asks if he remembers how she told him their relationship burned fast and bright. She imagined them having a future, even before she found out she was pregnant. One day he dragged her to an old town; she didn’t want to go. They saw a boy separated from his parents, and Drew was so good with him. He wiped the boy’s tears, and told him it would be okay. Then, as they walked to the sheriff’s office, Drew promised he wouldn’t leave until the boy’s parents got there. He was so calm and kind. They were chatting away, and Drew was showing the boy his patches, talking about superheroes, and they were debating Skittles or Starbursts. Drew says, clearly Starbursts. Kim tells him that’s what he said then too. She remembers thinking he’d be a terrific father. Drew knows he’s doing the right thing, but he’s still sorry Scout and Oscar will never meet that guy. Kim says the guy she’s gotten to know in the past year is pretty great.

Sam tells Jason that she understands why Drew won’t let go of his memories, especially with Oscar being sick. After Jason disappeared, the memories kept her going. Jason says his memories of her helped him get out of the clinic, and find his way home.

Margaux sees Curtis outside Kelly’s. She wanted to ask him about Drew. Is there anything she can do for him while Oscar is in the hospital? Curtis says she’s already done more than enough.

Sonny tells Carly that he ran into Margaux in the cemetery. She was cold – Carly says, and he gave her his scarf; Margaux told her. She says it was no accident that Margaux returned it in person. Either she wanted Carly to know, or wanted to see Sonny again. Sonny doesn’t thinks she has an agenda. Carly says, since when? She’s gone after Mike, Kristina, Jason, and her. Or has he forgotten Margaux is the one who remanded her to Ferncliff. Sonny says he’s sorry. They shouldn’t have gone with Diane’s strategy. Carly says, now it’s Diane’s fault? Before he knew she was Vincent Marino’s daughter, Sonny rightfully blamed Margaux. Diane planned for Carly to go to Shadybrook. Margaux wanted her in Ferncliff. Sonny says, it’s not a big deal. She was cold; he gave her a scarf. What was he supposed to do? Carly says, let her freeze.

Margaux tells Curtis that she’s trying to make amends with Sonny’s family. Curtis says making amends is good. She works closely with his wife, and he respects that, but Drew is his friend. He’s got Drew’s back. If she wants to know if there’s anything she can do, she can keep her distance. He walks inside.

Jason tells Curtis, good luck on the case, and leaves. Curtis tells Sam it doesn’t look like they talked about what’s going on with her. Sam says she’s keeping that between them, and he asks what’s their next move?

Valentin says Nina is home early. She says she’s not staying. She’s packing up her things, and going.

Maxie starts to get in the elevator. Peter is there, and says he was going to the MetroCourt for coffee – or something stronger. Would she like to join him? She says she pressed wrong button, so she’ll stay. She tells him not to wait too long to give her a call. They owe it to themselves to see this through. Dinner, she means.

Drew thanks Kim for sharing the memory. Kim says when she found him again last year, she has to admit she’d hoped they could pick up where they left off. Be a happy family. Drew says, in a way, he guesses they are that; a family. She puts her head on his shoulder. Julian sees them.

Oscar tries to eat an onion ring, but it’s not happening. Josslyn asks if he’s not in the mood for onion rings, and he says he usually loves them, but he’s not hungry. He appreciates her getting all of this. Josslyn says she’ll take them to the nurses’ station while they’re still hot. She also got a club sandwich. He can have it later if he wants, since it doesn’t matter if it’s hot.

Cameron writes a text. Trina, does the guy you’re seeing still have a weed hookup? Yep. Knew it.

Sam gets on the laptop, and Curtis asks if she’s going to poke the bear. She says, it’s better than being attacked by it. She writes, okay, Linda. You’ve got my attention.

Jordan tells Curtis that she’s not seeing what’s in front of her, Lulu asks if Laura is telling her that Charlotte is bullying her own cousin, and someone is fired.

There’s a new worst person in the world on the block. Leida from 90 Day Fiancé, who understands nothing about priorities, budgets, and being engaged to someone because you love them, not because you want to live the good life in America. Honestly, I don’t know what these people are being told, but we are not all millionaires here. This woman has been bitching, whining, and screeching from the moment she set foot on US soil. It’s beyond me what Eric sees in her. Even if the sex is phenomenal, it can’t be worth listening to her tirades. From how he put her luggage in the car, to wanting a bed that cost five grand, she’s done nothing but complain. So far, when making wedding plans, she can’t shut up about the lavish, gargantuan first wedding her wealthy parents paid for, that hosted 2000 guests. I can’t imagine she has even two friends, and it’s no surprise it didn’t work out. I was actually having difficulty understanding why she got engaged to him in the first place, until she made one slip, saying that she could find someone else to marry and stay in America. Unfortunately, that comment blew past Eric, who didn’t even flinch, much less kick her not-that-attractive ass out of his car. I’d have left her by the side of the road and told her, goodbye and good luck, tossing her Louis Vuitton suitcases after her.

Internet trolls have been less than pleased with her behavior, and while I would never advocate threatening anyone – welcome to social media! – Leida is against bullying? Funny, coming from the person who’s been doing nothing but, and tried to bully her fiancé into abandoning his own child. Pissed because Eric has to pay child support, and won’t be keeping her in the manner to which she is accustomed, Leida demanded he stop paying it. Apparently, she also doesn’t understand it’s the law, and when he tried to explain it, she thought he should give up his parental rights. If things were so great for her in her own country, why the hell is she so desperate to be here?

🍤 On Top Chef, the contestants were taken to the Maker’s Mark distillery, and challenged to make a meal of Kentucky classics using Maker’s Mark. Padma was enamored of a creation called a banana corn dog, which prompted Tom to persist in making jokes about her having carny in her blood. An extremely pregnant Gail Simmons said a contestant’s catfish and pickles were an atrocity. I can’t imagine anything more sad and embarrassing. Which is why I would never be on one of these shows.
