What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

On the phone in the elevator, Sonny says, that’s excellent news. They’ll be in touch. Cyrus’s voice says, it is not often that we get to live in and appreciate the humility of the Lord, but on days when our salvation is imminent, our faith calls us to give thanks in an especially joyful way.

We see Cyrus preaching to a group in the library, and he says, hear me when I tell you something – God is coming. And we who have waited with faith and patience and humility are privileged to bear witness. Rejoice, my brothers, rejoice! Amen. The group applauds.

Carly runs into Kelly’s, telling Josslyn that she’s sorry she’s late. She knows the concert starts soon. Josslyn says, don’t worry about it. She guesses Carly didn’t see her text. She’s not going.

Brook says, Chase isn’t joking, and he says he’s 100% serious. She says, he wants her to move in with him, and he says, yes. She says, no.

Olivia brings Ned out by the pool. It’s empty, and he says, slow night, huh? She says, not exactly. She sent everyone home. He asks, why? and she says she wanted them to be alone out here. He says, to do what exactly? and she says, remember. Ned, remember us. Remember who you used to be.

At the Bistro, Charlotte asks why Valentin has that look, and he says, what look would that be? She says, the look he gets when he’s about to tell her something she won’t like.

Maxie turns on the lights at Lulu’s house, and goes in with Georgie, James, and Felicia. Georgie says, this was her big surprise, a visit to Aunt Lulu’s house? James says he’s surprised. He thought they were going to a Woodchuck’s game. Felicia tells him that they’re going to the game soon, but right now, they’re on an amazing adventure. Georgie asks, what is this amazing adventure? and Felicia says, they’re here to explore. James says, explore what? and Felicia says, the house. Maxie says, and maybe stake out which bedroom is going to be his new room, and James says, she means… Maxie says, no more sharing. They’re moving in here. This is their new house. Funny. I don’t remember Lulu’s house being this huge. I’ll just say it. This ain’t your Lulu’s house.

On the phone at the MetroCourt, Nina says, unfortunately, that’s a question for Olivia and she’s not here, so they’ll have to wait. She tosses down the phone, looking harried, and looks up to see Sonny come in. She says, this is a nice surprise. She didn’t know he was coming here tonight. They hug, and he says, this is the best joint in town, especially the view. She says she’s glad he likes it. There’s something she really needs to talk to him about… Kristina walks in, and asks if Nina is joining them, but Nina says, no. This dinner is just for the two of them. She has to work. Olivia asked her to be on the floor tonight. She starts to leave, but Sonny asks what she had to tell him. She says she can take care of it herself. It’s really nothing. Enjoy their dinner. There’s a great steak special tonight. Sonny says, then he’s got it all. He has great steak, a gorgeous fiancé, a brilliant daughter. He’s got it all right here, right? The three of them smile.

Ned starts to leave, but Olivia tells him, wait. His daughter Brook, Ned’s daughter, is in a lot of pain right now because of something Tracy did. She ran out of the house because of his mother. He says, don’t put that on him, and she says, of course (🍷) not, but he was always the bridge between the two of them. He could always sort it out. There are people who still need him; his mother and his daughter and their son… the kid… Leo? For their sake, can he please just try?

Nina says she’ll send the waitress over, and Sonny thanks Kristina for being so supportive of him. Kristina says she genuinely likes Nina. Not everyone’s against him too. She can see how happy Nina makes him. She puts her hand on his.

Cyrus tells the group, today is the day for miracles. A time of righteousness, and yes, vengeance. But without the dark, there can be no light; and without vengeance, there can be no righteousness. So let us pray that this vengeance passes by unscathed, so that we may testify to the cleansing power of our Creator. The Warden Garten watches as he speaks, and he says, for all the world’s a cage, and we are all inmates in God’s celestial play, trying to break free from the grip of licentiousness, arrogance, and evil. As it says in Deuteronomy 23:14; for the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee. Therefore shall they camp be holy that He see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. He looks at the warden.

Willow comes into the restaurant with Wiley, who runs to Nina. She hugs him, and Sonny tells Kristina, look how happy she is.

Josslyn tells Carly that they can’t go to the concert anymore because suddenly, Dex has to do something for Sonny. Carly says, oh, and Josslyn says she hates that Carly knows exactly how she’s feeling. Carly says, so Dex has to work for Sonny and Josslyn has to make alternate plans. Been there, done that. Josslyn says, it’s not that; it’s the situation. She knows she said she was moving on and trying to put it behind her, but she hates that Dex is putting himself in danger. Carly says, that’s who Dex was when Josslyn met him. He’s a guy who takes risks, for better or worse. Josslyn says, yeah, but now he’s protecting Sonny, and taking those risks because of Carly and because of Michael. Carly says, and that’s his choice, and it’s for his protection. Josslyn says she knows. It’s just, some days are harder than others. Carly says she gets that, but if Josslyn got into this thinking she was going to change Dex, that’s not going to happen.

Chase says, Brook doesn’t want to live with him? and she says she doesn’t think he’s thought this through. He says he has, and she says, oh really? Because a whole two and a half second deliberation isn’t exactly thorough. He says, it’s not like they haven’t lived together before, and she says, exactly. That’s what she’s saying. The first time, she drove him absolutely crazy, and the second time was for Bailey. He says, the third time will be for love.

Charlotte says, Maxie and her family are living at her mom’s house? and Valentin says, her mother always loved Maxie and her children. Doesn’t she think it might be nice to have some people living in that house? It’s been sitting empty. She says, yeah, but she just wishes it was her mom coming home to live there. He says he does too, but how does she feel about Maxie and her kids moving in? She says, why bother asking her when it’s already done? and he says, the decision to rent was Dante’s. He’s just asking because he cares about her feelings, so why doesn’t she tell him? She says, it’s just another place, like all of the places she’s lived. None of them last.

James runs through the living room saying, this house is huge, and there’s a backyard. He can make a treehouse. Wait. How many rooms are there? Felicia suggests they take a reconnaissance mission and count the rooms. Ready for take-off? Let’s go. They run out, and Maxie asks Georgie, what’s going on? Doesn’t she like the house? Georgie says, of course (🍷) she likes it. She remembers playing here when she was little. It seemed even bigger then. But this is Aunt Lulu’s house.

Josslyn says she doesn’t want to change Dex. Why would Carly say that? Carly says she’s been down this road, many times. She wouldn’t be Josslyn’s mother if she didn’t want to spare Josslyn from unnecessary pain. Josslyn says she’s not in pain, and Carly says, Josslyn doesn’t have to convince her; she just has to be honest with herself. Worrying about Dex, knowing he’s always in danger, is a heavy burden. And if she decides she doesn’t want to do this anymore and doesn’t want to be a part of that life, that’s okay. She just has to admit it to herself, and then she has to tell Dex. Josslyn tells Carly not to put her history with Sonny on her. She’s just disappointed, and that doesn’t mean she wants to break up with Dex. Actually, she thinks she’s still going to go to the concert because she has a bunch of friends going. Carly says, great, and Josslyn says, don’t wait up for her. Carly says, okay, and Josslyn leaves.

Brook says, Chase knows she loves him, right? and he says, yes… She says, part of the reason she does is, he’s like a knight. When someone’s in trouble, he can’t help but want to fix it. He says, she’s not just someone. They’re in a good place, and he can see she’s hurting at home. She says she appreciates his concern, but she doesn’t think living together is what they need right now.

Nina says she’s so surprised to see Wiley. She’s glad he came. Wiley sees Sonny, and says he wants to see grandpa. Nina looks at Willow, who nods, and she brings Wiley over to Sonny. Wiley and Sonny high-five, and Kristina tells Wiley that he’s looking sharp. Wiley suggests they go to grandpa’s and have a barbecue and play baseball, but Sonny says, where he lives is kind of high up. You can’t play baseball. Nina says, but if you stand on the terrace, you can see all of Port Charles. Wiley says, really? and tells Willow, let’s all go to grandpa’s and have picnic on the terrace. Kristina can come too, and Amelia and Nina, Grandpa Sonny… Michael comes out of the elevator, and Wiley continues, mommy, daddy, and Leo too? Sonny says, he can invite anybody he wants, and Willow goes over to Michael. He asks if it’s a party, and she says, yeah. Nina was here when she arrived, then Wiley saw Sonny and went to say hello. He says, if it’s okay with her, it’s okay with him. Wiley runs to Michael, who hugs him. Michael smiles at Sonny, then realizes he’s smiling at Sonny.

Maxie tells Georgie, Aunt Lulu is her best friend, and she thinks Aunt Lulu would want them to fill this place with laughter and memories, just like the memories they made with her when she lived here. Georgie asks if it won’t make Maxie miss Aunt Lulu more if they live here, and Maxie takes her hand, saying, she’ll miss Aunt Lulu no matter where they live. That’s not going to change, but being here does make Maxie feel a teeny bit closer to her. It’s almost like she gave us a little present, right? Maxie wouldn’t have brought them here if she didn’t feel good about it. Lulu asks if she can paint her room purple, and Maxie says she can. (I painted my room purple when I was around Georgie’s age. Is that a thing when you’re a tween?) Felicia comes back with James, and he says, guess what? There’s four bedrooms, one for each of them. And he’s already picked his. Georgie says, no fair. She’s older and she gets to pick first. James says he forgot. Age before beauty. He runs off, Georgie chasing him. Felicia says she’s so glad Maxie is doing this, and Maxie says, so is she.

Ned asks what Olivia wants him to do. He’s not making any guarantees. She says she understands it. She just wants to walk him through what happened that night. He says, the night of the supposed accident, and she says, see if it comes back to him. He asks how she can walk him through it if she wasn’t here. He heard it was just Tracy and Drew who saw him fall. She leads him to the other side of the room, and says, Drew told her everything that happened. They can just give it a try. He says, all right, whatever. Lay it on him. She says, he started out over here – she walks across  the room – and he saw Drew and Tracy arguing over here. So just walk to her… slowly, and see if anything feels familiar. Okay? Is he ready? He says, ready, and starts to walk.

Brook says she and Chase are in a really good place and she wants to keep it that way, but he says, moving in isn’t going to change that. If anything, it’ll bring them closer. She says, or closer to World War III. She drove him crazy when she was just temporarily couch surfing. She’s not the neatest person. She leaves her stuff everywhere. She thrives in creative clutter. He says, so they had a few discussions about clutter, and she says, more than a few. He was counting the days until she left him to his Zen world of order. He says, then when she left, his place felt empty. He missed her, and it hasn’t felt right since she left. Make it right. Move back in with him.

Local guy Steve goes into Kelly’s, and Carly asks if he wants the usual. He says he likes what she’s done with the place. It’s gotten a lot nicer since she took over. She says, it was a personal project, and he tells her, this might not be his place to say, but he thought she should know. Her ex-husband is in for a world of trouble.

Warden Garten gestures that she wants to talk to Cyrus, and he suggests the group take a break to reflect on their redemption. Cyrus says he hopes the warden hasn’t come to stop their study. He and his friends are just trying to let go of their past so they can look toward a righteous future. She says, don’t worry. She’s not here to break up his group. She just wanted to see it for herself. She’s impressed. He says, her support means a great deal, and she says, he genuinely seems like a changed man. He says, after his heart attack, he’s come to see life in a new light. His faith was rejuvenated. She says, while she might not share his exact faith, she’s relying on him for a common cause. He says, trust him. He wants nothing but the best. He believes everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to be. She says, let’s hope so, and he says he has only one purpose now; to bring about God’s will on earth. She says she’d hate for him to disappoint her after all his progress, and starts to leave, but he calls to her and she stops. He says, sometimes the most unexpected alliances can lead to the most extraordinary outcomes. Who knows what a difference he and his flock together can achieve? She smiles at him, and I have no clue what to make of this.

A wooden crate stamped with the Pikeman name and logo is unloaded on the docks. Dex says, they’re late, and Gabe (?) says, sometimes there are delays. This shipment’s too important for them not to pick up. They’ll be here. Dex says, the sooner the better. The boss wants this stuff out of here. He looks out to the water using binoculars.

Nina says hi to Michael, and tells him that she’ll get them a table. She calls Trish over, and tells Wiley that it was so good to see him. They go to their table, and Wiley asks Michael if they can have Grandpa Sonny and Nina over for baseball and a barbecue. They live up too high. They can have a party with everyone at their house. Michael says, if that’s what Wiley wants, he thinks they can make it happen.

Sonny tells Kristina that he can’t believe how fast Wiley is growing. Such a nice surprise. Was that her? She says, no. She wishes she could take credit for that, but she can’t tell a lie. That was pure synchronicity. (I would have said serendipity, but okay.) Sonny asks why she wanted to meet for dinner, and she asks if she has to have a reason. He says, she always does, and she guesses that’s true. She wanted him to be the first to know that the LGBTQIA+ foundation board is complete. The Corinthos-Davis House is a go. He says, that’s fantastic, and she says she’s so excited, and she couldn’t have done it without him.

Olivia says, this is the spot where Ned fell. Drew said, Ned came rushing toward him over here, and had something really important to tell him. Nina walks in, and says she doesn’t mean to interrupt whatever they’re doing, but she heard Olivia closed the pool, and she wanted to see if everything’s okay. Olivia says she should have warned Nina. They’re just doing a little exercise. They’re trying to see if they can stimulate Eddie’s memory. Nina asks if she’s sure that’s wise, and Olivia says she thinks it could help. Nina says she knows head trauma is unpredictable and would hate for Olivia to risk anything, and Olivia thanks her, but says she thinks they’ll be okay. Nina says she doesn’t mean anything by that. She hopes their experiment works. Good luck. She strides out of the room, taking a last look at them before she goes.

Valentin says, it’s really done a number on Charlotte, all this shuffling around, moving from place to place. It can’t have been easy, and if it hurt her, he’s sorry. It’s his fault. She says she always knew he’d be with her if he could. He’s in between places, living with Anna while she was at camp. With grandma away, she can’t stay at her place with Spencer and Esme. Dante and Sam are nice, but… He says, it’s not her home. That’s what he’s always wanted to give her, a stable place to call home. Listen to him. Things are changing as they speak. She says she knows. Things are always changing. That’s the only thing that stays the same.

Maxie tells Felicia that she’s going to be totally honest. It feels really strange to be here after all this time. She knows they had to get out of that apartment, and she was putting her finances together so she could get a place. Then Tracy’s horrible lawsuit happened. So she was happy when Sam suggested they rent this place. Can Felicia imagine trying to juggle a lawsuit and a mortgage at the same time? She would have been pulling her hair out. Felicia says, Tracy Quartermaine leaves a trail of destruction wherever she goes. She doesn’t like to wish ill on anyone, but she’ll be so glad when they wipe that smug smile off Tracy’s face and win the lawsuit. And they will win, because they have the truth on their side. Maxie says she’s not so sure about that. Tracy Quartermaine is ruthless. And she’ll do anything to win, including using her own granddaughter as a spy.

Brook asks Chase if he knows the expression, be careful what you wish for; you just might get it. He says he knows it. Whatever happened to the fearless BLQ who leaps before she looks? She says, maybe she became a little more cautious because she sprained her ankle a few too many times. She has something to lose now – him. And she doesn’t want him to regret her moving in. He says he’s not going to regret it, but she says, he might. And not just because she’s messy. She does stuff. She does stupid stuff that she regrets, like getting mixed up in Tracy’s dirty tricks.

Carly says she doesn’t want to cause Steve any problems, but what does he mean, trouble? He looks around and says, it’s probably nothing, but he passed what seemed to be a staging area down by Elm, the fisherman village. It looked like Feds. They’re definitely not local. And he heard the name Corinthos.

Cyrus says, today is the day our unspoken adversary is just one step behind, and those of us who have been in his employ, willingly or not, are now called upon to awaken and cast off his infernal darkness. Wake up! Your life is waiting for you. The warden tells the guard that she wishes more inmates were as inspired as Cyrus, and she leaves. Cyrus smiles.

Nina flashes back to Ned overhearing her talking to Martin, and that she’s the one who turned Drew and Carly in to the SEC, when he’s being accused of it. Willow calls to her, and Nina goes over to their table. She asks if everything is all right. Did they get everything they ordered? Willow says, they did, and thanks her. She says, Wiley had the idea they should have a barbecue with baseball at their house. Wiley tells Nina that he has a new mitt, and Willow asks if that sounds like something Nina would like to join them for. Nina looks at Michael, who nods, and she says she’d love to go.

Kristina tells Sonny that she doesn’t want to jinx it, but she thinks Wiley might be the key to Michael and Willow accepting Nina. Sonny says, they’ve been through a lot and he thinks things are finally starting to turn. She says she’s so happy for them both, and he says he thinks she’s leading the way with this new center. He’s proud of her.

Olivia says, anything? but Ned says he doesn’t know. He’s told so often about what happened that night, he feels like he might remember… but he doesn’t. This is just another pool. She says, okay. She knew it was a long shot. He says he’s sorry to disappoint her, but she says, no. He was amazing. She thanks him so much for trying. He says she’s been pretty good to him and he’s been really hard on her. He just wants to say he’s sorry. She tells him that he’s forgiven. He says, friends? and holds out his hand. She takes it, and says, friends. For a moment, I think he’s going to kiss her.

Brook says, it’s not just about her and Chase moving in together, although that’s definitely nerve-wracking. She doesn’t have the greatest track record, and this whole situation with Tracy is just another thing she messed up. He says he’s not asking for or expecting her to be perfect. He loves her just the way she is, flaws and all. He’s not trying to rescue her. Her moving in makes sense… to him anyway. How about her? When she strips away all the worries and regrets of the past, how does she feel about it? She starts to cough.

Carly brings out Steve’s to-go bag, and says, it’s on her. He says, she doesn’t have to do that, but she says she appreciates the information he gave her. He thanks her and leaves. I like Steve. He has a pleasant way about him. Carly is about to call Sonny, when Chase runs in and asks if he can have a glass of water for Brook.

Nina asks if it would be okay if she brought Wiley over and taught him how to make a Roy Rogers. And Wiley can tell her all about his new mitt. Michael asks Wile, what do you say? and Wiley asks Willow, can he please? Willow says, all right, but just a small one. They don’t want all that sugar. Nina says, they definitely don’t, and hustles him away. Michael asks if Willow is sure she’s okay with this. She’s been having a lot of Nina lately. Willow says, it’s fine. She’s not 100% comfortable with Nina, but Wiley is. Micheal agrees, and she says, they have to start somewhere. The important thing is bringing this whole family back together.

At the bar, Nina tells Wiley, now they add the sugar free cola, and Kristina tells Sonny that they can go over there if he wants, but he says, Nina’s got it covered. He wants to hear more about her Board. She says, they have Dr. Randolph, Michael, and he knows Diane… His phone rings, and he sees it’s Carly. Kristina says he can take it, but he tells her, this is more important, and shuts his phone off. Off all the times, eh?

Cyrus says, we may be tarred with a brush whose mark can never be removed, but that does not mean we can’t contribute to God’s work. Perhaps we may never sit at the foot of His majestic throne, but we can know that our lives have not been lived in vain. There is a way for each and every one of us to do our part of the Divine work, no matter how small that part may seem. For the Lord said, the lowest among us, the most damnedest among us is capable of redemption. And he who protects the innocent is the first among men.

Another crate is put on the dock, and Dex says, they’re here. He runs down the stairs, and tells another guy that he wants everything ready for a quick transfer. His phone rings, and he tells Gabe that he’s got to take this. He’ll be back when the ship docks. Gabe says he’s got it, and Dex slips around the corner. He says, Miss Spencer? and Carly says, Josslyn told her that he was doing a job for Sonny tonight. He’s like, uh… and she says, whatever it is, get out of there. There’s going to be a raid. Dex looks out, and she asks if he can hear her. Get out of there now.

As they check out the kitchen, Felicia says she has a good feeling about Maxie being here. Almost as if the house is welcoming her. It wants Maxie to make it into a home again. Maxie says she thinks Lulu would want that too. To a new beginning, like Felicia at the hospital. Felicia says, she’s right. That came as a surprise. She never saw herself working as a volunteer at General Hospital. Maxie says she’s sure Felicia will be a lot better at it than she was. Felicia says she loves Maxie, and she’s so proud of her. She starts to cry, and Maxie hugs her, saying, don’t cry. She loves Felicia too. James calls from the other room, and Maxie and Felicia dash in. James says his room has a secret hiding spot, and Georgie says she’s got the view and the window seat. James says, Bailey can have the little room, and Georgie asks when they’re moving in. Maxie says, not soon enough. Should they go home and start packing? James and Georgie nod, and they all file out, Maxie pausing and smiling before she turns out the light.

Valentin says he knows he let Charlotte down, but she says, let’s not talk about that. He says he’s made mistakes. He’s made far more mistakes than he cares to mention. It’s taken him way to long to get her the stable life she deserves. She says she doesn’t care how long it took. She just wishes they could be together all the time. He says, they will be. He just has to get these last details in place. And until then, know this. She’s the most important person in his world. It’ll always be the two of them. She goes over to him and hugs him. She says, just the two of us, papa.

Chase brings Brook the water, and she gulps some down. She says she literally talked herself hoarse trying to come up with all the reasons she shouldn’t live with him. He says, she knows she has to take care of her throat, and she says, she does want this. She wants nothing more than to live with him. He says he knew she would see it his way eventually. He holds out his hand and says, let’s go home. They stroll out of the courtyard hand in hand.

Dex says, the boat is docking, and Carly says, forget about that. There is no time. He has to get out of there. As he’s about to go back out, floodlights come on and the Feds are there. One says, put their hands where he can see them. They’re all under arrest. Get on the ground now. All of the guys on the dock comply, but Dex remains unseen. He peeks out, sees what’s going on, and runs up the stairs.

Cyrus says, today, the Almighty will focus His cleansing vengeance on those who collaborate with our great enemy. Proverbs 2:22: The wicked shall be cut off from the earth and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. He smiles.

Olivia says, the least she can do is buy Ned a drink after going through that poolside psycho drama with her. He says he’ll never turn down top-shelf, and she says, there’s a little Quartermaine left in him. (I was thinking more Larry Ashton.) They go to the bar, and Nina watches.

Willow tells Wiley, that was delicious, and he says, with two cherries. She and Michael smile at each other.

Since everyone is way too happy, when Kristina starts to tell Sonny about the upcoming first Board meeting, a bunch of guys come out of the elevator approach the table. One says, Mr. Corinthos, you’re under arrest for violations of the National Security Act, and shows his badge. Kristina says, what the hell? and gets up, but one of the Feds grabs her. Sonny tells him to get his hands off of his daughter, and the arresting Fed tells Sonny, do not escalate this. Sonny says he’s not escalating nothing, when Michael comes over and says, there’s no problem here, putting his hand on Kristina’s back. Kristina says, tell them; they’re arresting dad. Sonny tells Kristina that it’s okay, and they cuff him.

Wiley asks Willow what they’re doing to grandpa. Where are they taking him? Putting him on her lap, Willow tells him, it’s okay. It’s going to be okay.

Sonny tells Kristina, this is going to be cleared up, and the Feds march him to the elevator. Kristina tells Michael, do something.

Cyrus says, the Lord trieth the righteous, but the wicked and him that loveth violence, his soul hateth. Upon the wicked, He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone – Sonny is led into the elevator – and horrible tempests; this shall be the portion of their cup. The elevator door closes.

On Monday Tuesday, Carly says, Michael needs to tell her the truth right now; Austin asks what Nikolas is going to do; Dex tells Josslyn that somebody turned Sonny in; Cyrus says, Drew is no longer under Sonny’s protection; and Sonny tells someone that he’s not saying anything without his lawyer present.

Sam and Dante arrive back home. She complains about the airplane air wreaking havoc on her skin, but he says she’s as beautiful as ever, and they kiss.

Cody counts out one hundred dollars to the desk sergeant, and says he thought if the parking meter was broken, it was free to park there. He looks at Heather as she’s steered through the room, and she says, got a problem? The desk sergeant tells him that Heather is a raving lunatic. He can’t wait until she’s transferred to Pentenville to await trial. Sasha walks in, and says she’s here to see Heather Webber.

Josslyn wakes up, and finds Dex looking at her. She asks what he’s thinking, and he says, how much he likes waking up next to her.

Brook says, Sonny has a new granddaughter. The whole family is raving about Baby Amelia. He says he’s only seen her through the window in the NICU and in pictures. That’s why he’s here. He’s wondering if she can help him.

Nina comes out of the hospital elevator, and hears Drew telling the reception nurse that he’s extended family. He was asked to fill out the paperwork now that Willow is gone. Nina asks what he means by Willow is gone.

Wiley welcomes Willow home, and Michael says, Wiley’s been a champ, helping get everything ready for his baby sister. Wiley says he can help Willow too, and opens the door for her. Carly is inside with the baby, and says, welcome home. Willow says, home, exactly where she wants to be.

Sonny says he and Michael are still fighting, and Brook says she’s sorry. He says, it doesn’t get any easier. There was a moment, before and after Amelia was born, when he thought he was getting through to Michael, but nothing’s changed. She says, it must be so awful for him, and he says he appreciates that, but he might have a lot of years to get through to Michael. Nina and Willow might only have a few weeks. So he needs to find a way to convince Willow to see her mother.

Wiley says, Amelia is really small, but Michael says, before he knows it, she’ll be sitting up, then crawling. Willow says, Amelia will need Wiley’s help, and he asks if he should show her how to crawl. Willow says, he could show her how it’s done, so she’ll have someone to copy. She didn’t have an older brother growing up. Amelia is lucky to have him. Michael thanks Carly for taking care of the kids, and she says, of course (🍷). Anything they need, she’s here for them. He says, what he needs is a miracle, but it doesn’t seem to be coming. Carly hugs him.

Drew says, Willow is gone, as in home to the Quartermaines, and Nina says she feared the worst. He says, she checked out this morning, and Michael took her home. He’s just there to finish up the paperwork. Nina asks if she won’t get better care and more aggressive treatment at GH, but he says, there’s nothing more the doctors can do without a bone marrow donor. She wanted to be home with Michael and the kids; enjoy them for as long as she can. She asks if Willow is giving up.

Josslyn thanks Dex for saying it first. Her feelings for him aren’t casual either; she’s never felt like this before. She says she doesn’t want it to stop, and they kiss.

Dante asks if Sam thinks it’s too early for champagne. Doesn’t she think they deserve it? They took the longest of longshots, and found out Ryan Chamberlain is Esme’s dad. She says, was. Thank God that freak is finally dead. He says, the Invader article made it sound like all hell broke loose on Spoon Island last night, and she says she thinks the best thing that came out of there is that Heather Webber is in police custody, and on her way back to where she belongs – D’Archam. Dante says he’s kicking himself a little for not picking up on things. They knew The Hook was a woman. Heather’s escaped from tons of facilities, and every time he’s talked to her, she was gloating like she knew something he didn’t. Sam says, don’t do that. That’s Heather’s M.O. She likes to torment people she thinks have wronged her. He says, no wonder they both ended up on Heather’s hit list, but Sam says she’s too tired for irony. She wants to shower off the past 48 hours. He asks if she wants company, and she says, now that he mentions it, there’s a spot on her back she can’t reach. He says he can, and they run upstairs.

The desk sergeant asks if Sasha is Heather’s lawyer, and she says, yes. She needs to confer with her client. He says he’ll have Heather brought up from the cells, and leaves. Cody asks if Sasha knows what she’s doing, and she says, absolutely. That murderer killed her husband, and Sasha is going to see Heather is brought to justice.

Carly says, Baby Amelia’s been fed, changed, and she’s fast asleep, and Wiley says, she sleeps a lot. Michael says, sleep is good for babies. It’s good for all kids, Wiley included; it helps you grow. Wiley asks if Willow is growing too, because she sleeps a lot, and Willow says she was very tired when Baby Amelia was in her tummy. Wiley says, Baby Amelia is born now, and asks if Willow will be able to play with him again.

Sonny says, Carly didn’t tell Nina that she and Willow were mother and daughter; they wasted months when they could have worked toward a reconciliation. Brook says, it must be tearing him up, watching Nina go through this, and he says, all Nina wants is to be a mother. Nina’s not perfect. Nobody’s perfect, but Nina wants the best for Willow. She even decided to donate her bone marrow for transplant. Brook says, that’s so generous and loving, but Sonny says, Willow doesn’t want to see her mother. Nina’s never even held her granddaughter, and he wants to fix that.

Drew says, Willow is terminal, and made a decision about how she wants to spend the time she’s got left, and Nina says she understands. But Willow has two small children who need her, and Willow grew up without her mother. So if there’s a chance to prolong her life at the hospital until they find another donor, Willow should take that chance. He says, she was aware that she had the option to stay at the hospital, and chose to go home, but by leaving, she’s not going against any medical advice. Nina asks if Willow and Michael got a second opinion, or a third opinion. What exactly did the specialist recommend? Drew says, there’s nothing else they can do, and Michael and Willow have accepted that together. She says, with Carly’s input no doubt.

There’s a knock at the door, and Sam runs down to answer. It’s Cody, who asks if Dante is there. He called, but Dante isn’t picking up. Dante comes down, and asks, what’s going on? Cody says, Sasha Corbin’s in trouble. He can’t help her, and he’s hoping Dante can.

Sasha waits in the interrogation room, fingering her wedding ring, when Bennett brings Heather in. Sasha says she’d like to confer with her client in private, and he asks if she’s sure. She says, the prisoner is in shackles, but she’ll yell if she needs his help. He pushes Heather into a chair, and says, good luck, but be sure to keep a taser handy. He leaves, and Heather says, Sasha’s her lawyer? She’s sorry, but she doesn’t remember hiring her. Was she court appointed? She could have easily forgotten. That happens sometimes. She finds herself in a prison cell with absolutely no idea how she got there. It’s really unsettling. She can forget days at a time.

Willow tells Wiley that she still has to take it easy for a while, and Michael says, they have to be extra careful of mom. Wiley says he’ll play quietly, so he can help her get well, but Michael says, he doesn’t have to be quiet all the time. He’ll take Wiley over to the house, because Olivia and Leo are making pizza, and Olivia loves when he helps roll out the dough. Wiley asks if Willow wants him to save some pizza for her, and she says, of course (🍷). She tells him that she loves him, and he says he loves her too, hugs her, and leaves with Michael. Willow starts to cry, saying, she didn’t know it would be this hard, and Carly puts her arm around Willow.

Nina tells Drew that Carly must love having Willow home on the Quartermaine estate, where Nina can’t have access to her own child. She can’t have a conversation with her, or even look at her. He says, Carly isn’t loving one aspect of this; nobody in the family is. She says, nobody else in his family went out of their way to keep her and Willow apart. Carly chose to lie and manipulate, and hide the fact she was Willow’s biological mother. Carly not only lied to her and Willow, she lied to Drew for months. She can’t believe he’d be okay with that.

Dex’s phone rings, and he says he has an update on the Pikeman shipment. The boss is doing family stuff, so he asked Dex to handle the prep. When the merchandise arrives at Pier 55, they need trucks ready to deliver it to the warehouse, store it for 48 hours, then deliver it to Pikeman’s buyers. This is heavy ordinance, so they’re going to need six trucks. Make sure they’re checked in advance. If anything breaks down, they’re all doing federal time. Josslyn comes into the room, and asks, what’s Pikeman, and how can it land him in federal prison?

Cody tells Dante that Sasha gained access by claiming to be her lawyer. He didn’t want to  bust her, and get her in any more trouble than she’s already been in. She’s a nice lady. She’s been through hell, and she’s just putting her life back together. From what he read about Heather, she’s going to run through Sasha like a buzzsaw running through tissue paper. Sam says, Heather Webber lives to play mind games. When she finds out Sasha is Brando’s widow, it could be brutal. Cody asks if there’s any way Dante could go to the station and run interference without exposing Sasha’s lie, and Dante says, yeah. He won’t be long. Sam tells him to take as long as he needs, and Dante leaves. Sam asks why Cody cares so much about Sasha, and he says he just doesn’t want her to be Heather Webber’s next casualty.

Sonny says he understands if Brook doesn’t want to be put in the middle, but she says she’s lost count of how much she owes him. She’d be happy to help any way she can. He says, she doesn’t owe him anything. He just knows Michael will listen to her, and if she could just tell Michael that he needs to talk to him… Michael walks in, and says, there’s no need. He’s already here. What did Sonny want to talk to him about?

Dex says, the less Josslyn knows about Pikeman, the better, but she says, it’s a little late for that. She already knows there’s a shipment at Pier 55 with heavy ordinance and six trucks. He says he should have been more careful, but she says she doesn’t want him to be careful around her. That’s how it was with her mom and Sonny. He went about his business, and she pretended not to know anything, when in reality, she knew quite a lot. He says, it must have been hard for her, and Josslyn says, it was; she did a lot of pretending. Josslyn doesn’t want to pretend with him. He said he’d be done working for Sonny in six months, but what’s the point if he’s arrested on federal charges? He says he won’t be. Sonny’s the one who’s going to be arrested on federal charges.

Willow tells Carly, when she was at the hospital, all she could  think about was getting home, and it’s so good to be here, but is it good for her kids, when she’s so weak and only getting weaker? Carly thinks the answer is written all over Wiley’s face; he’s thrilled to have her home. Willow says, but he thinks she’s going to get better. She and Michael are letting him think that, and it’s a lie. How much longer can they keep lying to their child?

Drew tells Nina that he’s not okay with what Carly did. He made that very clear to her, but they’re members of the same extended family; they’re both related to Michael and Willow. She says, they seem very close these days, and he says, the whole family is rallying around Willow right now. Nina says she’d like to rally around Willow too, but thanks to Carly, she can’t even be near Willow, or have any chance of a relationship with her child. Drew says he’s sorry Willow doesn’t want to see her right now. He can’t imagine how painful that is, but Nina has no one to blame but herself.

Sam tells Cody that the coffee is probably strong; she’s fighting off jet-lag. He thanks her for the warning and the coffee, and says he’s surprised she didn’t show him the door after Dante left. She says, a couple of months ago, she may have done that. After making an entrance by parachuting into the pool at the MetroCourt hotel, he was sort of running one con after another, never saying why he was in Port Charles in the first place. Then he blackmailed Spinelli to set him up with Britt through Society Set-Ups, and he does have sealed juvenile arrest record. But ever since Britt died, he’s shown that he obviously cared about Britt a lot, and she appreciates him showing concern for Sasha. What she’s trying to say is, maybe she misjudged him.

Heather tells Sasha that she has the vaguest memory of Ryan Chamberlain dragging her and her daughter away from Spring Ridge. Ryan is terrifying. Every time she was with him, she would lose time for hours afterwards. Sometimes she thinks he was trying to hypnotize her.

Dante asks Bennett if Heather is with her lawyer, and Bennett tells Dante that they’re in the interrogation room. The lawyer wanted privacy. If it’s any consolation, the prisoner is still in shackles. Dante says, that’s not going to stop her from getting in the lawyer’s head, and goes into the room. He asks how it’s going, and Sasha says, the prisoner just gave her a demonstration of how she plans to fake insanity for The Hook killings.

Willow tells Carly that she and Michael had the perfect opening just now. When Wiley brought up how much she sleeps, they could have told him that she was sick, and that she won’t get well; that she’s going to die soon. Carly says, it’s a really difficult conversation to have with anyone, especially a child; her child. She thinks Wiley is too young to understand the concept of death. It’s okay if Willow didn’t want to tell him on her first morning home. Willow says she’s been reading all the literature about it, and knows they have to explain this to him, but when she thinks of actually saying the words, her mind goes blank. How does she tell her little boy that she’s going to leave him forever, and it didn’t have to be that way?

Dex says he’s working on the Pikeman shipment in order to get evidence on Sonny, and Josslyn asks if he’s a cop, or an undercover Fed. He says, nothing like that. He’s not law enforcement, and doesn’t work for any official authority. She asks if anything he’s told her about himself is true, and he says, everything. He’s ex-military. He did a tour of Afghanistan; he joined right after high school. What he didn’t tell her is, after the military, he went to work for a private security contractor. That’s who set him up with his current employer.

Sasha gets up, and says, Heather is a kidnapper, a murderer, a vicious maniac. She should have never been given life without parole. Truthfully, she should have been given the death penalty 30 years ago, but she repeatedly exploits her mental illness. She gets herself committed rather than going to prison, then somehow gains her release, either by escape or by manipulating the legal system. Dante says, there are plenty of loopholes in the system, and Heather’s a master at working her way through them. Sasha says, this time will be different. This time, she’ll be a witness for the prosecution, and she’s going to take Heather down for good.

Willow says she had the option to get treatment as soon as she was diagnosed, and Carly asks if it was a real option. Willow says, not for her. She would have had to terminate the pregnancy because of the damage the chemo would do to the fetus. It was unthinkable. She convinced herself that she could wait; that she could have a healthy baby and still recover from leukemia. She was half right; Amelia is healthy. Now she’s going to die and leave Wiley, which means she put Amelia ahead of her little boy. Carly says, Willow made a choice that was right for her as a mother. She gave her daughter the best chance at life, and put her own life at risk to do that. She may be leaving Wiley, but she’s also leaving behind the gift of a baby sister. She did the best she could for both her children. She’s got to stop blaming herself. Willow says she’s afraid. She loves Michael and her children so much. She doesn’t want to leave them. She cries in Carly’s arms.

Drew says, Nina and Willow are estranged, not because of anything Carly did, but because of what Nina did. Nina alienated her for years. She sued Willow and Michael for visitation rights to Wiley. Nina asks if it’s a crime for her to want to see her grandson, and he says, it’s the way she went about it that hurt Willow. And if Willow doesn’t want to spend time with her, that’s her right. She says, that all changed when she found out Willow was her daughter, but Drew says, Nina changed; Willow didn’t change. Nina says, yes, but if they had known when they were supposed to know the truth, Willow would have come to her for a bone marrow donation a lot sooner, and they would have had all this time to work out their differences and reconcile. He says, yes. Carly should have told Willow that Nina was her mother, and left the decision up to Willow whether or not to tell her. Nina says, but instead, Carly chose to lie to both of them, and Drew says, it’s not the same thing. Carly owed Willow the truth; she didn’t owe Nina anything. She says, wow. Drew is as self-righteous and unfeeling as Carly. She sees it now. And when payback comes, he’ll be just as deserving. She walks away.

Sonny says, Nina went to the hospital to try and visit Willow, and Michael says he brought Willow home this morning. Sonny says, there’s no hope for treatment? and Michael says, they’re still waiting for a donor, but they’re running out of time. Sonny says, then it’s important for Nina and Willow to connect. Is there any way Michael can persuade Willow to see her mother? Michael says, he can’t do that, and Sonny says, or he won’t because Michael’s still holding a grudge against him and Nina? Michael says, this isn’t about Sonny or Nina; this is about Willow. She’s dying. She gets to spend her last days the way she wants, not trying to make Nina feel better. Sonny says he’s done everything to reach Michael; he’s done. If Michael can’t have any compassion for Nina, even when her child is dying, then what happens next is on his head. Sonny walks out.

Josslyn asks who Dex is working for, and she doesn’t mean the private contractor. Dex flashes back to Michael saying he wanted to take Sonny down, but not at the expense of his mom or sister. He’d rather blow this whole operation up than put his sister at risk, and Dex needs to find a way to keep Josslyn at a distance. Dex tells Josslyn that he’s sorry, but that’s the one thing he can’t tell her; not until it’s over. She asks when that will be. He was beaten and tortured. Isn’t that incriminating enough to finish the job? He says, the Pikeman shipment is on a whole other level; he’s talking federal charges, potential violations of the National Security Act. When he gets the proof, and turns it over to his employer, and his employer turns it over to the Feds, Sonny’s going away forever… Isn’t that what she wants? Hating Sonny and punishing him for the rest of his life are two different things. If she wants, he’ll tell his employer that he’s out, before the Pikeman shipment ever lands. She says, and Sonny will be in the clear? and he says, it’s up to her. Whatever she wants.

Sam asks if Cody has heard of the Ice Princess, and he says, only in reference to the necklace, but no specifics. Why? She says, at one time, it was the world’s largest uncut diamond, and it belonged to her grandfather Mikkos Cassadine. He says he heard she was related to the Cassadines somehow, and she says she’s never been a particularly suspicious person, but when she found out that the diamonds in Britt’s necklace were part of the Ice Princess, she saw all these flashing lights and there were chills up her spine. Nothing but misery has ever come out of that diamond. He says he wishes he could blame all his failures on some cursed diamond, but he only has himself to blame for his mistakes with Britt. He let his greed get the better of him. She says, that’s very big of him, and he says, shocker, but greed gets the best of him over and over. She says, greed caused her to make a lot of bad decisions, but she just stopped, and he asks, how? She says she guesses she just realized there were more valuable things to chase. If she could figure that out, he could too. He says, here’s hoping, and thanks her for the coffee. She says, of course (🍷), and he leaves. In the hallway, Cody looks at Mac’s number in his phone.

Heather wails that she hasn’t done anything. All she wants is to see her daughter. Her daughter was having a baby, and they ripped her away. Ryan Chamberlain was threatening her… Sasha says she’ll give it to Heather; that’s a compelling act. But she can be compelling too. She was with Brando at Charlie’s in his last moments, before he followed Josslyn into that alley, and Heather callously, brutally murdered him. Heather says she doesn’t even know anyone named Brando, but Sasha says, the jury will know him. She’ll tell them. She was eating pie when he left. Their last kiss tasted like cherries. She’ll testify to Brando’s frame of mind, his courage, his kindness. She’ll make the jury feel the terrible injustice of her husband’s murder. Heather’s poor pitiful lunatic act won’t stand a chance against her grieving widow. And she won’t stop in the courtroom. She’ll try Heather in the court of public opinion. She’ll go on podcasts, talk shows, anyone who will give her a platform, and she will crusade about the loopholes in the legal system that allowed a psychopath like Heather to rampage through Port Charles, when she should have been stopped decades ago. She’ll do whatever it takes to see Heather is guilty on all counts of multiple murders, with consecutive life sentences. Heather will spend the rest of her days in solitary in Pentenville where she belongs. Dante says, while he looks forward to Sasha’s testimony, this interview is over. Sasha leaves through the side door, and Heather says, just the two of us, huh? He says, yeah, and she says, good. She wants to confess.

Tomorrow, Scotty says he’s about to make Robert’s life a whole lot easier; Sonny tells Spencer that he can’t fix Esme; and Heather visits Esme in the hospital.

⚰️ Dead Again…

In case you didn’t know Ryan. He has a tendency to bounce back. I fully expect him to reappear down the road, and say the dead guy was his and Doc’s triplet.

💞 Conscious Coupling…

Everyone seems to be on board with these two. I’ve been hoping for this pairing since Anna was with Finn and they had zero chemistry.

👩‍👧 Mother and Daughter Reunion…

Life outside of Port Charles.

🦚 DOOL Move…

You’ll have to pay Peacock to see Days of Our Lives, but the plans are pretty cheap.

🤸‍♀️ Tumbling Marks…

I’m not quite sure what happened here, but it’s definitely amusing.

🗽 No Jovani For You…

Nobody likes a mean drunk. The poor Countess though. Not her week.

⚔️ Conflicted…

As much as Jax is the most awful human being on earth and I despise him, I might have to watch this.

🌷 Calling Doctor Spring…

Come dig into tomorrow’s cornucopia of soap, tea, citations, and February appropriate music. Until then, stay safe, stay cultivating common sense, and stay not being self-righteous and unfeeling, or when payback comes, you’ll be deserving.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Terry sees Finn at Britt’s party, and says, Elizabeth must have dragged him here, since it’s not his scene. She asks where Elizabeth is.

Elizabeth gives Nikolas a list of stuff Esme will need in the coming weeks, and he says he’ll take care of it. She says, and she’ll take care of Esme, and he says he appreciates all she’s done. She says she’s not doing it for him, and goes upstairs. The doorbell rings, and Nikolas opens the door to Laura, who tells him, Happy New Year. He says, it’s not a good time, and she says she’s sorry to hear that, and walks in.

Trina finds Spencer sitting on the deck steps on the Haunted Star. She apologizes for being late, and asks if he was waiting long. He says, it’s worth the wait; she looks beautiful. She says, him too… He knows what she means. He asks if she’s ready to do this, and she says, be seen together to generate a buzz? He suggests they post a photo on social media, and she says, they can make Esme jealous enough to become reckless. He says, one look at her, and mission accomplished, and takes the photo. Sonny and Nina board the boat, and Sonny says, when Kristina said she saw Spencer at Christmas, he said, that’s impossible. His nephew wouldn’t show up in Port Charles without coming to see him.

Michael meets Dex at the docks, and Dex says, Sonny’s cutting a deal. Michael asks, with who? and Dex says, with someone he’ll regret doing business with.

Esme’s door opens, and she says, oh, it’s Elizabeth. Kind of overdressed for nursing a prisoner, isn’t she? Elizabeth asks how she is, and Esme says, like she cares. Elizabeth says, Esme and her baby have been on her mind a lot lately, and Esme tells her, it’s not too late. Help her get out of here. Not for her sake, but for the baby.

We see a sign that says, Britch Fest! with a caricature of a woman (presumably Britt) in a martini glass. Britt comes in with Obrecht, and takes a drink from the tray of a shirtless waiter, saying, happy birthday to me. She and Obrecht clink glasses, and Obrecht says, he has nothing on mein Scotty. She goes off to find him, and Maxie and Brad join Britt. Maxie says, fashionably late she sees, and Britt says she wanted to make an entrance. Brad says she did; that ensemble is smokin’. Britt says, that’s the plan. Good job on the waiters. She knows it was Brad’s contribution. She tells Maxie, everything looks gorgeous, and Maxie tells her to note it’s prosecco, not champagne. Britt says, Maxie knows her well. Austin comes over and says, Maxie looks great. He knows Britt is his boss, but can he say, wow. She says, just for tonight, and Maxie says she and Brad are going to check on some other surprises they have up their sleeve. They leave, and Britt says, they went to so much trouble. Austin says, they love her and want to make her happy. So she should consider how they’re going to feel when they find out it’s their last opportunity.

Spencer says he’s sorry. He’d meant to come by and thank Sonny for looking out for him in Pentenville. He truly appreciated it. It’s just that so much has happened since he got out… Sonny says, relax. He’s just happy to see Spencer. They hug, and Spencer says, hopefully, he won’t need any more favors from Sonny. Nina says she was sorry to hear about Trina’s friend, Officer Cabrera, and Sonny says he heard Rory was a very good man. Trina says, he was a very good man; too good. Spencer says, Rory was there for Trina when she needed support, and Nina says, they’re going inside, and will see them later. Trina thanks Spencer for what he said about Rory, and for helping bring his killer to justice. Spencer says, she knows he’d do anything for her, but this isn’t just for her. He’s the one who brought Esme to Port Charles. That makes it his responsibility to rid the city of her forever.

Inside, Sonny says, looks like Britt went all out, and Nina says she appreciates him coming out with her. This is a bit more lively than their New Year’s Eve last year. He says she doesn’t have to thank him. He likes being by her side. She says, it’s important for her to be there for Britt. She, Britt, and Maxie made a sister pact, and they’ve been close ever since. She just wants more time with Britt. He says, Huntington’s is like Alzheimer’s. It’s a no joke disease, and she’s going to have a rough road ahead.

Austin tells Britt to just hear him out. He doesn’t think it’s a good idea, this whole running away thing. She swears if he starts hounding her, she’ll throw him overboard. And to be clear, she’s not running away. She’s making a graceful exit. He says, there’s still time to rethink that, but she says, not much. In four hours, when the countdown begins, and the topless hotties are topping off drinks, she’ll slip away, with a one-way ticket to destiny.

Finn asks where Yuri is, and Terry says, he’s sick. It’s adorable how the biggest, toughest men become babies when they get the sniffles. (She can say this because she’s not living with one.) He says, it’s a good thing Yuri knows a doctor, and she says, it’s nice to have someone to take care of, and be taken care of in return.

Laura says she knows Nikolas prefers she call before she comes over, but she didn’t want to give him the opportunity to come up with an excuse not to talk to her. He says, about what? and she says she spoke with his uncle. He asks what Victor said, but she says, no, Cyrus. She went to visit him in Pentenville. He asks what possessed her to do that, and she tells him, Cyrus said he had some information about their family. It got her to wondering what else she doesn’t know. He says, about Cyrus? but she says, about him. Nikolas told her that he’d betrayed all the people he loved the most. Can he tell her what he meant by that?

Esme says, Elizabeth cares so much about this baby, yet won’t help her, even though Elizabeth knows she didn’t hurt anyone. Elizabeth says, maybe Esme didn’t kill anyone, but she hurt a lot of people, her son included. Esme says, so this is about revenge, but Elizabeth says, it’s not. The way she sees it, Esme has two options. She can stay in this tower or face prosecution for the slew of crimes she’ll be charged with if Elizabeth turns her in. Esme says, there’s a third option. Set her free so she can leave town and raise her baby. Elizabeth asks why she’d do that. It wasn’t that long ago Esme threatened a hunger strike, and refused to take her prenatal vitamins. Esme says, she’s desperate. Can’t Elizabeth see that? She swears she’ll take care of this baby, but she needs to be free so they can be safe. Elizabeth says, on the run, no family resources, constantly looking over her shoulder. How is that any safer than a roof over her head, nutritious meals, and consistent care? Esme says, because she won’t have to live with the fear that Nikolas will kill her as soon as she gives birth.

Sonny asks where Nina went just now, but she tells him not to pay attention to her. It’s a celebration, and she refuses to be a buzzkill. He says, she can tell him anything, and she says she was thinking about her brother and Nelle, and how now she doesn’t get to see Wiley anymore. Her family is very small, and the thought of losing Britt… He says he gets it. He lost his dad; he lost Brando. Now he can’t see Michael or Wiley. Michael is going to have another child, and is he not going to be able to see that child?  Probably not. She says, he has to pay a big price to have her in his life.

At Britt’s party, Sirens blare, and someone is brought out in a wheelchair. Drag queen Alyssa Edwards pops up, and spins around. She says, they’re all so hot, she may have smoke inhalation, and asks if there’s a doctor in the house. Brad says, yes, there is, and she loves to dance. He pulls Britt over, she and the Alyssa air kiss, and everyone starts to dance. I want to be at this party.

Nikolas says, he and Ava have been struggling for months, but Laura says, this is not about Ava. That’s not a reason Spencer would turn his back on Nikolas. His son just got out of prison; that should matter to him. He should be spending time with Spencer tonight, working on their relationship. Where is Spencer? Does Nikolas know? Does he care? He says, of course (🍷) he cares, and she asks what he’s done for his son to alienate him. She does know it’s New Year’s Eve, right?

Elizabeth says, if Esme is worried Nikolas is going to harm her, that’s not the plan. Esme says, maybe not the plan he shared with Elizabeth, and Elizabeth tells her, lie back, preparing to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. She says, maybe Esme is judging Nikolas based on her own standards. She’s wrong about Nikolas, and wrong about her too. She’s not going to let anything happen to Esme. They listen, and she says, strong heartbeat. Esme smiles, and Elizabeth asks if she’s in any discomfort or pain. Esme says, no, and Elizabeth asks if she has any other concerns. Esme says, what if there are complications? but Elizabeth says, so far, her pregnancy is progressing typically. Esme says, so far, but she’s only seen one ultrasound since she’s been pregnant, and nothing since. Elizabeth says she’s assisted in a lot of births – three of her own –  and Esme doesn’t have to worry. Women have been giving birth since the dawn of time. Esme says, Elizabeth talks like she’s a patient in a maternity ward, and she’s not; she’s a prisoner. Elizabeth is right. She’s hurt people; people who didn’t deserve it, especially Cam. But what if Elizabeth is hurting the baby by helping Nikolas? Can she live with that?

Dex says, Sonny met with a representative from Pikeman Security Group, and Michael says, they’re military contractors. They do everything from weapon design to manufacturing logistics and private squads of soldiers. What do they want from Sonny? Dex says, they want to move their product through Port Charles; they want Sonny to facilitate. Michael says, Pikeman is paying Sonny to smuggle military weapons. That’s as illegal as it gets.

Trina says, maybe Spencer is the reason Esme came to Port Charles, but she’s responsible for the devastation she caused, for the lives she’s ruined, and the ones she’s taken… if it was Esme. He says, come again? and she says, Ava told her, Ryan is convinced Esme’s not the killer. He says, like they can trust a word Ryan… blinks, and she says, maybe not, but what if they’re wrong? What if Esme’s not the killer? What if it’s someone they never even suspected? Someone who could be on this ship with them at this very moment.

Britt puts her arms around Brad and Maxie, and asks where they got Alyssa. Maxie asks if she’s surprised, and Britt says, is she ever. She loves it all. She’s never going to forget this as long as she lives.

Austin looks at a waiter’s back, and says, it’s good he asked. It’s probably just a mole, but he’d get it checked out. The waiter moves on, and Obrecht asks if Austin is on the clock. Austin says, always. She knows how it is when people find out you’re a doctor. She says, that ends when you lose your license. She hasn’t always been his biggest fan, but he’s been a good friend to her daughter. She’s grateful. He thanks her for saying that. It’s been a pleasure getting to know Britt. She says she hopes it continues. Britt needs her friends now.

Terry asks Finn if Elizabeth is showing up later or… He says he’s really not sure, and she says, Elizabeth has been hard to pin down lately. She might have to page her at GH just to catch up. Is Elizabeth okay? He says he would be the wrong guy to ask.

Esme says, help her get away, so she can be free to raise her baby in peace, and Elizabeth says she was right. Esme does care about this child. Esme says she doesn’t know if she’s mom material. She can be selfish and willful, but she does know that even if neither of them is innocent, this baby is, and she wants to give him or her a better start in life than she had. Elizabeth starts to pack up, and says she’s going to ask Nikolas to order a portable ultrasound machine. Next time, maybe they can do a scan, and give Esme a picture of her baby. Esme asks, what if it shows something bad? and Elizabeth says, they’ll cross that bridge when they come to it. If they come to it. She doesn’t want Esme to worry. She heads for the door, and Esme says, why worry when life is so wonderful. Have fun at your party. Elizabeth leaves, and Esme smiles at the Christmas tree.

Nikolas says he’s let Spencer down many times, but Laura says, that doesn’t explain why he had such a big reaction to Nikolas being unfaithful to Ava. He says, Spencer is disappointed that he’s set such a poor example, and she says, unless it’s not that Nikolas had an affair, but who he had the affair with. Who is she? He says he doesn’t want to discuss it, and she says she doesn’t really want to discuss it either, but this has affected their whole family, so she’d like to know. Elizabeth says she’s leaving now, and stops short when she sees Laura. She tells Laura hello, and says she didn’t realize Nikolas had company. Laura says, that makes two of them, and tells Elizabeth that she looks beautiful. Elizabeth thanks her, and says she’s going to Britt’s party. She’s going to be late, so she’d better go. Laura says, stay safe, have fun. Maybe they can get together soon. They have a lot of catching up to do. Elizabeth says she’d like that, and tells them, goodnight and happy new year. Nikolas says, happy new year to her too, and thanks her for stopping by. She leaves, and Laura says, please tell her it’s not Elizabeth.

Dex tells Michael, the Pikeman rep, a guy named Hume, handed Sonny a briefcase full of cash just for showing up. Michael says, so Sonny draws the line at drugs, but he’s willing to ship weapons of war, and Dex says, there’s only two reasons people want to ship under cloak of darkness. Either what they’re moving is dirty, or what they’re moving is being supplied to dirty people. Michael says, in this case, both, and Dex says, this deal is extremely lucrative for Sonny, but also extremely dicey. Michael says, this is it. This is how they bring Sonny down. Dex says, this isn’t like busting Sonny on RICO violations. Pikeman had contractors in Afghanistan; they’re heavy hitters. Think twice before messing with them. Michael asks if Dex is backing out.

Sonny says, the other day, Nina was worried about how she didn’t want to get close to Donna, but Nina says she was just having a moment. She didn’t mean to be so maudlin. He says he’s been thinking about what she said; that she didn’t want to latch on to Donna to fill a void. She says, it’s actually kind of embarrassing, that whole conversation, and he says, isn’t that what loved ones are supposed to do for us? Fill that space inside of us when we lose somebody or feel alone? She says she supposes so, and he says, that’s what she did for him. She takes his hand, and says, that’s what he does for her. He says he wants her to latch on to him, Donna, and Avery. She’s got more family than she knows. She kisses him.

Laura says, Nikolas cheated on Ava with Elizabeth? but he says he told her he doesn’t want to discuss it. She says, too late; he already confirmed it. Does he have any idea how fragile Elizabeth is right now? He says, it’s over, but she says, it doesn’t matter if it’s over; the damage has been done. No wonder Spencer is so upset; she’s family. Her sons are his cousins. What was Nikolas thinking? He says he and Elizabeth have a past, and she says, it should have stayed in the past. She thought the two of them were just friends. Does Finn know? He says, he and Elizabeth hate that they hurt Finn and Ava. That’s why they wanted to keep it quiet. They don’t want to cause any more pain. She says, no one will hear anything from her. But don’t kid himself. Secrets like this are impossible to keep. He notices the list Elizabeth left on the desk.

Dex says he’s not looking for a way out, and Michael says, good, because he needs updates on every step of this partnership between Sonny and Pikeman. He means names, dates, shipping container numbers, bills of lading, all of that. Dex says he just wants to be sure Michael knows what he’s getting himself into. Any evidence they get against Sonny will also be evidence against Pikeman. Who even knows how many laws they’re breaking by shipping this stuff? If they connect it back to him and Michael, it could get messy.

As he lights the candles, Esme says, Demetrius didn’t forget a single detail of that special meal she told him about. He remembered everything. He says, she doesn’t have to feel alone, and she pats the spot next to her on the bed, saying, join me?

Spencer puts his jacket around Trina’s shoulders, and she says, thanks, but no one’s watching them. He asks if he can’t be a friend while at the same time being a gentleman. With all due respect to Ava, he does think Esme is the likeliest suspect. She says, okay, boss. All due respect to Ava? That must have been some talk they had. He says, he and ava are never going to like each other, but Ava cares about Trina, and he knows Trina cares about her. That he can respect. She says she has something to clear up. At her party, she said they’re not friends. He says he recalls, and she says she’s sorry. She didn’t mean it. She was upset and hurt… He says he’s glad to hear it. Not that she was upset and hurt, but that they can still be friends. He doesn’t have many of those. She says, he has her, Joss, and Cam – and Britt. That’s respectable. He says, that would be the first time he’s heard the word respectable applied to him, and she says, there’s a first time for everything. He says he really is grateful, especially since he hurt them all, Britt included. She says, Britt means a lot to him, huh? and he says, she was always there when he was a kid. She stuck by his side from his bratty juvenile shenanigans to the wreck of things he’s made since he got back. He and Britt have a lot in common. They tend to push away the people in their lives they so desperately need.

Britt dances with Brad, Maxie, and one of the waiters. She dances over to Obrecht, who tells her, be careful. Don’t over-do it. Britt asks if that’s not what tonight is for, and Obrecht says she’s glad Britt is enjoying herself, she can’t get over tired; it takes a toll. Britt tells her, mutter, stop worrying, but Obrecht says she is Britt’s mutter; it’s her job to worry about Britt. Britt says, not tonight. Tonight, her job is to have fun. Please. It’s important to her. She’s so happy Obrecht has Scotty. Life will never be dull with him. Sonny brings Nina over, and Nina says, Britt looks cover worthy. Sonny says, great party, and asks how Obrecht is doing. She says, all is well, and asks them to excuse her; mein Scotty needs me. Nina asks Britt to please tell her that she’s having the time of her life, and Britt says she is. She says, Nina doesn’t need to look at her like that, and Nina says, like what? Britt says, like she’s the walking dead.

Terry asks Finn, what’s going on? and he says he and Elizabeth broke up. She says, Elizabeth didn’t breathe a word, and he says he’s not surprised. It was sudden. She asks, what happened? and they see Elizabeth walk in. She and Finn look at each other.

Nikolas grabs the list, and throws it in a drawer. He tells Laura that it pains him that he’s disappointed her again, but she says, it’s okay. She’s just worried about Spencer. He just got out of prison, and he’s coming home to this chaos. Nikolas says he’ll be a better father going forward, and Laura says, if Spencer gives him the opportunity. He says, Spencer can’t completely distance himself. His release is contingent on Victor’s custody, and Victor insists on staying at Windymere. She asks if he’s saying Spencer is legally in Victor’s custody, and he asks if it matters. She says, oh my God, yes. Victor only acts in his own self-interest. Sooner or later he’s going to use Spencer. She can’t let that happen. He asks what she’s going to do, and she says, whatever it takes, but he says, she’s no match for Victor. Leave it alone.

Britt says, they don’t have to pretend. Her mother told her that she told them. Sonny says, we just never know how much time we have in life. Look at Jason. What matters is what we do with the time we have. Nina says, how we spend our time; who we spend our time with. She takes Britt’s hand, and says, this party was a great idea. Sonny says, Jason would want to see her getting all she can out of life.

Finn walks off, and Terry says, got anything she wants to tell her? Elizabeth says, maybe one or two.

Alyssa takes the mic, and says, ladies, gents, them/theys and anyone else here to slay. Tonight is about honoring that other infamous Queen B. The MD with the B-day, Dr. Britt Westbourne. Everyone applauds, and Alyssa says, Britt’s partner in wine Brad tells her, when they’re not busy reading red carpet fashion for filth or murdering mimosas, their favorite pastime is dusting their karaoke competition. We have a mic. We have a stage. We just need two showboats willing to serve. Come make some noise for Brad and The Britch. Britt and Brad take the stage to cheers and whistles, and Britt asks what they’re going to sing. He says, it’s handled, and the music starts. They sing I Knew You Were Waiting (George Michael). There are more cheers and applause.

Terry asks why she had to find out from Finn that he and Elizabeth broke up. Explain yourself, missy. Elizabeth grabs a shot off a tray going by, and downs it. Alyssa goes on stage, and says, okay boys. Show the birthday girl what you’ve got. The waiters bring out a cake with lit candles, and Brad tells Britt, don’t worry. They all know how much she hates the birthday song. Maxie says, but there’s one tradition they must insist on. She and Brad say, make a wish, and Britt goes over to the cake. She looks at everyone around her, and says, okay.

Michael tells Dex, just get the evidence against Sonny. He’ll make sure it gets into the right hands, and doesn’t implicate either one of them. Dex says, if they expose Sonny, Sonny will have a target on his back; with the law and Pikeman. Michael says, he’ll be better off in custody, and Dex says, if he’s convicted of the charges he’ll be facing, he’ll be in prison for a very long time, possibly forever. Is Michael prepared for that? Michael says he always knew what Sonny was capable of; torturing Dex was a new low. This, running weapons through a back channel for a military organization, is not the father he knew. He doesn’t want Sonny near his family. So to answer Dex’s question, forever’s fine with him. I guess collateral damage isn’t a term Michael is familiar with? Or maybe how anyone else might feel? Like Sonny’s kids? Michael pisses me off.

Nikolas tells Laura, for his sake, don’t antagonize Victor. Victor can accuse him of terrible things. Laura asks if Victor has proof, but Nikolas says he can’t get into it. She says, then she can’t help him, and he asks what she means. She says, it’s not just about him. She’s also very worried about Spencer. If he knows something, he should tell her. He says he can’t, and she says, why? Has Victor threatened him? He says, no one is at risk if they play Victor’s game. But if she takes down Victor, she takes him down. Leave it alone or she’ll lose her son.

Esme sits at a small table in front of her finished dinner, and tells Demetrius, the steak is delicious. She’s sorry he couldn’t join her. He says he’s glad she enjoyed it, and she raises her glass, saying, to kindness, found in the most unexpected places. She pretends to swallow the wrong way, and starts coughing. She gets up, Demetrius handing her a napkin. He goes to the door, unlocks it, and she thanks him. She says, it’s meant more to her than he’ll ever know. Happy new year. He says, happy new year in Greek, and blows out the candles. He takes the tray out, and she takes a matchstick out of her cardigan pocket. She says, and happy new year to us, Ace.

Trina says, they should head inside, but Spencer says, five more minutes. She says, nobody will see them on deck, and he says, the buzz can be that they stole some time alone. She says, they’ll assume she got emotional, and needed some air. He says, and he came out to check on her, and she says, and she leaned on him for comfort? He buttons the jacket on her, and says, and in some combination of heightened emotions, and the twinkling lights… She says, and the waves and stars, and his warmth as he held her. He says, it brought back all of those old feelings; the ones they never acted on. She says, and they felt like the only two people on earth.

Tomorrow, Austin tells Britt to change her mind and stay; Laura asks if Nikolas could have a clean slate, would he do it; Michael asks Willow to marry him; Sonny tells Nina, they’ve only just begun; and Sam says, what was that?

🩺 The Doctor’s Back In…

Andre has always been a favorite of mine. This storyline should be fun.

His backstory, in case you didn’t know, or like me, forgot.

💎 Door Number Two…

I think it’s more likely the necklace was the reason. It at least factored heavily into the decision. I still wonder what he would have done had Felicia read the results.

🖼 Not Everything’s About You…

Next he’ll be picking on teenager’s bedrooms.

🎶 Light the Corners Of My mind…

Memorable or cringeworthy? You decide.

It still boggles my mind how they get away with some of this nonsense. It’s pretty bad when production has to step in.

🥂 About New Year’s Eve…

If you’re brave, crazy, or both. I’ve never gone and never will. Back in the day, my roommate did the Times Square thing, while I went elsewhere. She told me that she could barely move, someone spilled beer on her, and someone peed on her shoe. Good times…

Who will be there.

No more for them.

🎊 Dropping the Ball…

Tomorrow, join me for more of the same, and ending the year. Until then, stay safe, stay not driving while intoxicated, buzzed, or in any way impaired – there’s no excuse; take an Uber – and stay knowing, what matters is how we spend our time in life, because we just never know how much time we have.

January 31, 2022 – Ned Thinks Sonny Should Reconsider, Final Charter On Deck & Changing

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Michael gives Willow a picture of the Eiffel Tower, and says, he and Wiley colored it in, but he’s the one who couldn’t stay in the lines. She loves it, and he says, there’s more. He knows she’s going to be busy wrapping up nursing school in the next few months. She says, here’s hoping she passes, but he says, he has no doubt. He thought they’d take a little trip over the long holiday weekend, and she asks, where to? He points to the picture, and she says, Paris. He asks if it’s something she wants to do, and she says, of course (🍷). She’s never been to Paris. She’s never been anywhere, but especially not Paris. He tells her to start pricing berets, and she hugs him. Coming up the walk, Carly sees them through the window, and smiles.

Sonny shakes a pill into his hand by the water fountain, and Leo asks if he’s sure he wants to do that. Sonny says, is he sure he wants to take his medication? but Leo asks if he’s sure he wants to drink from a public water fountain. Sonny asks, why not? and Ned calls to Leo, saying, Leo can’t walk ahead of him like that. Either this is a new Leo, or this kid grew over the weekend. Sonny says, Leo was just explaining to him that it’s dangerous to drink out of a water fountain. He needs to know why. Leo says, water fountains are sanitized less often than toilets, and Sonny laughs, saying, okay. Now I don’t want to drink out of a public water fountain.

Cameron tends the fire at the cabin, and tells Josslyn that he’s starving. He says he’s going to whip something up in the kitchen, and asks if she thinks Trina is hungry. Josslyn says she isn’t sure; she won’t answer. Cameron wonders if they should check on her, but Josslyn says she can hear Trina moving in the room. She probably just needs space. He tells her not worry about Trina or what she said, but Josslyn isn’t sure she can. What if they’ve been ignoring her feelings this whole time? Cameron says, the only thing stronger than Trina, is Josslyn’s friendship with her, and they kiss.

Esme asks Spencer if they should stop for coffee, but he says, it’s been a long day; he’s tired. She says, it’s still too early to go to his grandmother’s house, and he asks if she’d rather wake his grandmother and Doc up in the middle of the night. She says, she’d rather not answer any questions about why they came home from their weekend getaway the same day they left, and he says he’s sure. She asks, what’s that supposed to mean? and he says, it means he has a question. What the hell was she up to back there?

Elizabeth looks at some of Franco’s art in the art therapy room, and Finn comes to the door. He asks if he’s interrupting, but she says, of course (🍷) not; come in. He looks at a painting with her, and says, Franco may have been a man with a complicated history, but he sure had a lot of talent. She says, he sure did. She needs to make sure anything he has left is protected. He says, protected? and she says, someone torched Franco’s art studio. Someone is determined to destroy his legacy.

At Charlie’s, Stella tells Curtis that he has a decision to make. Does he want answers to things he might really not want to know, or does he want his father back in his life? Marshall comes in, and says, small world. Do they mind if he joins them? They don’t say anything, and he says, it seems like they’re into something, so he’ll just go deal with his business. Curtis asks, what business is that? and Marshall says, the manager Phyllis called him. He left his credit card there. He’ll just get it and be off. Curtis says, not so fast. (BTW, to confuse us, we’re back to the other Marshall again.) Curtis says he wasn’t interrupting. They were just talking about him. Marshall hopes they at least found a few good things to say, and Curtis asks if he has a minute. Stella says she’ll get the card from the bar, and asks if they want anything. Curtis says he’s good, but Marshall says, he’s developed quite a weakness for the wings here; he’d like one or two. She says she thinks they only come by the dozen, but if they’re all that, she’ll have some too. He says, tell Phyllis it’s on him, and he and Curtis sit down. Marshall asks, what’s on Curtis’s mind? and Curtis says, a lot, but they can start with why Marshall walked out of The Savoy when Curtis said he was considering asking Sonny for help.

Ned tells Sonny, Leo’s been playing a video game where he builds cities, so he’s gotten very interested in public works. He’s even advising Olivia on infrastructure improvements at the MetroCourt. Sonny says he’s sure she appreciates that, and Leo tells him, she said she’d put it in the budget. He asks if he can come over soon to play with Avery, and Ned says, Avery is more than welcome to come to their house too. Sonny tells Leo to come over any time he wants. He and Carly would love to have him over.

Willow lets Carly in, and Carly says, they look happy. Willow says her son is the most romantic, thoughtful man alive, and Carly says, that must have been some box of chocolates. Willow says, he’s whisking her away to Paris, and shows her the picture. Carly says, that’s some kind of getaway, and Willow says, she can’t wait. Oh my God. The trip is only a few weeks away, and she doesn’t have a passport. Michael says, they can get it expedited. She just needs her birth certificate, driver’s license, and a passport photo. Willow says, he thought of everything. If Carly will excuse her, she has a birth certificate to find. She runs off, and Carly says, she’s glad they’re getting away; they deserve it. He says he agrees, and asks if she’s okay. She says she ran into Nina, and he asks how that went. Carly says she hates her, and the part that kills her is that his father refuses to acknowledge the amount of pain she’s caused. How can Sonny say he loves her when he still has room in his heart for someone who caused so much pain to her?

Esme says, what is she up to? and Spencer says, it’s a fair question. She says, it’s not enough he accused her of orchestrating this weekend to blow up his friendships? and he says, which she denied. She says, does he believe her? and he says, he wants to, which is why he’s asking what she hoped to achieve with the questions she was asking during the drinking game. She asks, how was she supposed to know it would hit a nerve? She’s not the one who moved in on her best friend’s crush. He says, no, but she’s the one who threw it in Joss’s face, even though that’s not what happened. She says, wasn’t it? Trina seemed to think so before she threw her little tantrum. Spencer says, Trina didn’t throw a tantrum, and she asks what he would call it when someone storms off like that. He says, Trina was not herself, and Esme flashes back to putting the drugs in Trina’s hot toddy. She says, so it’s her fault Trina is a lightweight. Anything else he and his friends want to blame her for? Rising sea levels, world hunger, a hangnail?

Trina comes out of the bedroom, and Josslyn runs to her, asking if she’s okay. They hug, and Trina says, yeah. Josslyn says, they were so worried, and Trina says, she went out like a light. Even now, she’s super groggy. Cameron says, alcohol has a way of sneaking up on you, and Trina asks if people usually black out after one drink. Cameron says, maybe… if the drink is strong? but Trina says, it didn’t happen to anyone else. Maybe they’re just more experienced drinkers than she is. Cameron says, they’re not that experienced, and Josslyn says, they didn’t go to a boarding school in a country where you pour chardonnay on breakfast cereal. Cameron asks if Trina would like water or coffee to help with the hangover, and she says she’ll take some water. Trina tells Josslyn that she’s sorry she worried them, and for whatever happened. Josslyn says, she doesn’t remember? and Trina says, not much. Cameron brings the water, and says he’s going to take a shower. Trina asks Josslyn what she missed.

Phyllis asks what she can get Stella, and Stella points out Marshall and says, he left his credit card. Phyllis says, he sure did, and asks if she knows Stella; she looks familiar. Stella laughs, and says, she has one of those faces. They introduce themselves, and Phyllis says, so Stella knows Curtis. Stella says, he happens to be her nephew, and Phyllis says, then she must always have a VIP seat at the hottest club in town. Stella says, she’s got that right, and asks how Phyllis knows Curtis. Phyllis says, she and Curtis have a mutual friend in common, and once in a while, she likes to see who’s playing at The Savoy. Stella’s nephew has great taste in music. Stella says, it’s in his blood, and looks at Marshall.

Marshall asks Curtis not to tell him that he reached out to Sonny, especially not on his behalf, and Curtis says, what Marshall saw the other night isn’t typical Sonny. Marshall says, he doesn’t have a problem with Sonny in particular, but that lifestyle in general. As Curtis knows, he’s experienced getting mixed up with unsavory characters. He doesn’t want that for Curtis. Curtis says he understands, even if he doesn’t know all the details. He guesses they’ll get to those later. Marshall says he appreciates that, and Curtis suggests they put their past in the rearview for now, but wants to get one thing straight. If Marshall wants to have any kind of relationship with him, never threaten to disappear again.

Finn says, so Franco’s art studio burned. Does Elizabeth know what happened? She says, just that it was arson. They’ll keep investigating. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and barely no other property was damaged. He tells her that she looks exhausted, and she says, what every woman wants to hear. He says she’s beautiful when she’s tired; is that better? She says he’s right. She hasn’t been sleeping. He asks if there’s something else on her mind. She can talk to him. She says she can’t. It would ruin everything.

Spencer says he’s exhausted, and suggests he and Esme discuss this in the morning. She says, go to bed angry? No way. If anybody should be angry, it’s her with him. He asks what he did, and she says, how about the fact that he didn’t defend her, not once, not even when Josslyn called her a manipulative little bitch to her face? He says, after she drove Josslyn’s best friend out of the room in tears. Joss has a temper. He’d say she got off easy. She tells him, so he’s saying she’s a manipulative bitch, but he says he’s not. She says, he sure seems to be thinking it. She doesn’t want to sleep on this. She doesn’t want to go home with him at all.

Josslyn tells Trina, let’s just say, it was an eventful night, and Trina says, and she slept right through it. Where’s Spencer and Esme? Josslyn says, they left, and Trina asks, why? Josslyn says, she called Esme a manipulative little bitch, and Trina says, to her face? Josslyn says, which one, and Trina says, damn, Joss; well played. Josslyn says, honestly? It felt like too little too late. What’s the last thing Trina remembers? Trina says, they were playing Never Have I Ever, drinking hot toddies… Josslyn says, Esme asked Trina about when she and Cam were thinking about dating. Trina asks what she said, and Josslyn says, Trina told them that she missed the way things were before she and Cam got together, and felt like she had to pretend to be happy for them.

Carly tells Michael, it wasn’t anything specific that Nina said that upset her. It was the way she said it, like she and Sonny had this intimacy between them. Michael says, the last time he and Sonny spoke, he swore that he and Nina were done completely. She says, Sonny told her that many times, but emotionally, what they had between them is still alive and well. He says, as angry as he is at his dad for his part in this, he just wants his parents to be happy. She says, her too, but after everything that’s happened, happiness just seems further and further away.

Ned hands Sonny a bottle of water, saying, it’s the least he can do. Sonny takes his pill, and Ned suggests Leo sit and look at his book while he talks to Leo’s Uncle Sonny. Sonny tells Ned that Leo’s a smart kid, and Ned says, now that he and Olivia have learned how to tap into what interests Leo, he’s really blossomed. In fact, they’re here for a system technology program that GH offers to kids with ASD, Autism Spectrum Disorder. Leo loves it, and he’s learning a hell of a lot too. It’s become their special father/son time. Sonny says, seems like Ned and Olivia are trying to get it right, and Ned says, it’s a work in progress; it’s marriage. Sonny asks what Ned means, and Ned says he hopes he’s not overstepping, but Olivia filled him in on Sonny’s troubles. Based on what Sonny said to Leo earlier, are he and Carly back on track? Sonny says, they’re good, especially after what he’s got planned.

Michael tells Carly, he made it clear to Sonny that Nina should have paid for what she did, and Sonny shouldn’t have gotten in the way of that. Carly says, and Sonny told Michael that he just wanted to put the past behind him, or he just wanted to keep the peace. Just more vague excuses that translate to letting Nina off the hook. Michael says, pretty much, and she says, that’s why she can’t live with him right now. He says, he and Dante did convince Sonny that he needs to give Carly what she needs right now, which is time and space. She asks what Sonny said, and Michael says, he told them that he was willing to wait for her to work through this. She says, we’ll see. Patience isn’t a strong suit of Sonny’s, and Michael asks what he can do, but she says, nothing. She shouldn’t even be here dumping this on him. He says, of course (🍷) she should, but she says, she shouldn’t; he’s her son; their son. He says, that’s why he’s one of the people she should be confiding in, and he’s glad she is. He was talking to Drew, and Drew told him all he can really do is be there for his parents, and that’s what he’s doing. He’s glad he had the opportunity. She says, she just wishes Sonny would listen.

Sonny tells Ned, he’s planning something so romantic, it’s going to knock Carly’s socks off. She knows he loves her, but she needs to see it on a grand scale. Ned asks if Sonny is sure this is the right move, and Sonny says, Ned should understand. He did the same thing with Olivia, right? Ned says, he messed things up pretty bad, and lost Olivia’s trust. He scrambled to win her back. Sonny asks what he did, and Ned says, his first instinct was also to give her this grand gesture, and Sonny says, see? He’s on the right track. Ned says, but his daughter and Sonny’s son convinced him it wasn’t the right move. Like Sonny, he was convinced a great gesture would win Olivia back, but it would have been a disaster. So take it from him, whatever Sonny is planning, he should reconsider.

Phyllis tells Stella that her order is in, and Stella thanks her for accommodating a special request. Phyllis says, no problem with a half order. So Mr. Ashford is Curtis’s father. Stella says, he’s her late sister’s husband, and Phyllis says, it’s so nice to get family together. Stella says, sometimes. Family’s not always easy.

Marshall tells Curtis that he shouldn’t have put conditions on his presence. He wants nothing more than to build a relationship between them and their family. Curtis says Marshall can’t do that if he leaves again, but Marshall promises he’s not going anywhere. Curtis asks how Marshall’s new meds are working, and Marshall says, so far, so good. He lucked out with having three medical professionals around when he had his episode. He’s sorry if he scared Curtis. Curtis asks if Marshall is still looking to buy a house here, and Marshall says, he’s hoping to put down roots. That is, if Curtis doesn’t object. Curtis says, it’s totally up to Marshall. The way he hears it, it seems Marshall’s already made friends. Like Epiphany Johnson? Marshall laughs, and tells Curtis, all he can say is, the longer he stays, the more reasons he has to stick around.

Spencer asks if Esme is breaking up with him, and she says she doesn’t know; should she? His friends have had it in for her from the day she showed up. She put up with it for his sake, but he hasn’t stood up to them for her, not once. He says, that’s not true. He made it clear how important she is to him, and demanded they give her a chance. She says, then they disrespected him too, saying she’s the root of all evil. Does he know how much that hurts? He says he’s sorry, and she says, for what? He says, for not being the boyfriend she needs. Esme pouts, and says, as scared as he is about going to Spring Ridge, she’s even more afraid. When he goes away, she’ll have nobody. She’ll be all alone.

Trina tells Josslyn that she doesn’t remember any of that, but it makes sense. She had this feeling in the pit of her stomach like she did something terribly wrong. Josslyn says, Trina did nothing wrong; if she hadn’t been drinking, she wouldn’t have said it. Trina asks if Josslyn can forgive her, and Josslyn says she’s sorry, but she has to ask. Did the alcohol help Trina admit to something she was feeling? Trina says she doesn’t remember, and Josslyn asks if Trina thinks she moved in on Cam when Trina still feelings for him?

Willow tells Michael that she’s sorry to interrupt, but it’s the weirdest thing. She’s looked everywhere, but can’t find her birth certificate. She remembers using it when they got married. Michael says, it’s been a while, and things got moved around. There’s a box of documents in the attic; he can go check for her. She thanks him, and he goes upstairs. Carly says, so Paris? She’s happy for them; they deserve some fun. Willow tells her, that’s kind to say, considering, and Carly says she’s saying it because it’s true. Willow says she wants to apologize again for not telling Carly what she knew about Sonny and Nina, but Carly says she can stop. It wasn’t Willow’s place to tell her. That’s all on Sonny.

Sonny asks how Ned can assume his plan won’t work, if he doesn’t know what Sonny is planning? Ned says, their wives are both intelligent and strong willed, and allergic to BS. He learned that Olivia just needed to be heard, and he had to listen, and most important, be patient. Sonny says he’s glad it worked out for Ned and Olivia, but thinks their circumstances are completely different. He lost nine months of his life. Ned says he understands, and Sonny wants Carly back immediately. Sonny asks if Ned blames him, and Ned says, of course (🍷) not, but what does Carly want? Sonny says, she wants time and space, and Ned asks, then why isn’t Sonny giving her that?

Finn asks what Elizabeth is afraid of ruining, and she says, it’s just so awkward. Here they are trying to start out as a couple, and every time they take a tiny step forward, there’s a reminder of Franco. First, her wedding ring fell out of her locker, and now Franco’s artwork is being destroyed. Not to mention, Peter’s trial is around the corner. She wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t want to be saddled with the ghost of her husband. He says, he doesn’t mind. Whatever she needs, he’s here for her, and she says, really? He says, only for as long as it takes, and she says, in that case, she can’t let her past stop her from having a future. He asks what she’s saying, and she says, full steam ahead. He asks what exactly that entails, and she says, maybe another date, and this time they could be alone? and he says, alone? He likes it. Any reason why? She says, so there’s no chance of something collapsing over dinner, and he says she has him convinced. Does she need any help here? She says, no, she’s got it, and he says he knows she does. If she needs him, he’s just a phone call away. She thanks him for not giving up on her, and he says, not a chance, and leaves.

Trina says, she knew Cam had feelings for Josslyn, but didn’t want to tell her because he knew she was grieving Oscar. Then she and Cam got thrown together, and kidnapped together, and developed feelings for each other. It didn’t take them long to realize they weren’t really right for each other. She sees Cam as more like a brother. Josslyn asks if Trina resents her and Cameron being together, but Trina says, of course (🍷) not. Josslyn and Cameron are into each other, and she’d never stand in the way of that. She’s happy for them. She guesses she just has to get used to being the odd man out, and Josslyn says, whatever she can do, she will. Cameron walks in, and says, him too. They love each other. Trina says, and she loves them. This is all so embarrassing. She doesn’t even know how it got dredged up. Josslyn says, she does – Esme.

Spencer puts his hand on Esme’s knee, and says, she’s not alone; she has him. She says, does she? It sure doesn’t feel like it. He says he’s sorry. He’s so freaked out about going to prison, he neglected to consider how it’s impacting her. It’s not what she signed up for. She says she signed up for him; to be with him, and whatever comes with that. He says, she’s proven that time and again. She tried to help him get his dad back, and she stood by him when everyone questioned his inheritance. In return, he’s been weak sauce. She says she hopes he realizes there are plenty of guys who would be happy to have someone as loyal as her in their corner, and he says he knows he’s lucky. He takes her hand, and says, please, can she forgive him?

Stella tells Curtis that Phyllis is asking about what acts are coming to the club, and asks if he can catch her up. He says, absolutely; he was getting another drink anyway. He asks if he can get them anything, but they’re good, and he goes to the bar. Stella sits down, and asks, what’s this Marshall is telling her nephew about him being in Witness Protection?

Willow says, Sonny seemed pretty adamant that he was going to tell Carly when the time was right, but Carly says she thinks that was a lie Sonny was telling himself. Willow says, she doesn’t think Sonny would have told her? and Carly says, she thinks Sonny didn’t want to put himself in a position where he had to choose. Michael comes back, and Willow says, any luck? but he says, no; he can’t find it. She says she can get a replacement online, and Carly says she’ll let them get to their evening. She’ll be back later to see Wiley. Willow says, he’ll be waiting, and Michael walks Carly out. Outside, she says, she doesn’t want him walking her to her car; he’s not wearing a coat. He says, he just wanted to tell her, if the MetroCourt starts to feel too impersonal, she can stay with them. She says she appreciates that, but she did give herself one of the nicest suites they have. Besides, Willow and Wiley are his priorities now. He says, she’s his priority too, and they hug. She says loves him, and wants him to know, whatever happens with her and his dad, they’re both proud of the man he’s become.

Sonny says, he appreciates what Ned is trying to do, but what works for Ned and Olivia, doesn’t necessarily work for him and Carly. Ned says, fair enough; every marriage is different. He just knows, in trying to give someone what we think they want, it’s easy to miss what they actually need. Sonny says he hears Ned, but Carly loves decisive actions and bold moves; it’s what works for them. Ned hopes Sonny is right, and tells Leo, it’s time to start class. He thanks Sonny for being so cool with Leo earlier, and Sonny says, is Ned kidding? He survived pathogens. Leo might have saved his life.

Marshall tells Stella, he doesn’t think he came out and said Witness Protection, and she asks, what exactly did he tell Curtis? He says, that he was in hiding. It’s the truth; it’s just not entirely accurate. She says, that’s a distinction without a difference, and he knows it. Marshall was vague on purpose, so Curtis would draw his own conclusion. Marshall says, but it’s the truth he had to leave to protect his boys, and she says, but he left out some pertinent details. He asks what difference it makes what he said, or did, or what he didn’t do? He’s here now. Curtis not knowing the whole truth isn’t important. She’s not sure that’s the case, and he says, she knows the truth. What part of his story does Curtis need to know in order to embrace being his son? She knows he’d never have left his boys if he’d had a choice. He needs Curtis to understand that, so please don’t take this away from him.

Curtis tells Phyllis, he’s been so busy, he hasn’t had a chance to check in on Nina as much as he’d like to. How’s she doing? Phyllis says, now that her legal difficulties have been settled, she thinks Nina is better. She’s still finding her footing. He says he’s glad Nina has her, and she says she hopes she’s enough.

Esme says, does she forgive Spencer? She rolls her eyes, and says she’d have to think about it. He asks if there’s anything he can do to convince her. He’s not above begging. She says, getting on his knees might do the trick, and kisses him. She puts on her seatbelt, and snuggles next to him, putting her on head on his shoulder. She says, his friends don’t understand them. He doesn’t have to hide from her, and she doesn’t need to pretend with him.

Josslyn says, Esme knew what she was doing when she handed them those drinks, and asked those questions. Cameron says, it’s almost like she planned the whole thing, and Josslyn says, please. Cameron says, okay; she definitely planned it. He just wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, for Spencer’s sake. Trina says she doesn’t know why setting Ava’s car on fire wasn’t a deal breaker, but she’s glad Cameron came to his senses. Josslyn says, it’s too bad that, during the game, no one asked, never have I ever played innocent when I’m clearly a psycho, and Trina says, Esme would have to drink her bodyweight in bourbon. Cameron says he’s headed to the kitchen, and asks if they need anything, but they say, no, and he leaves. Trina says, Josslyn might never forget what she said, but does Josslyn think she can forgive her? Josslyn says, only if Trina can forgive her for not being considerate of her feelings, and Trina says, then they’re good. Josslyn says, always, and Trina says, you’ve got to wonder. Does Josslyn think Esme is just a mean girl, or is there something more? Josslyn says, it’s definitely more.

Elizabeth guesses that’s that, and gets ready to leave, but the door suddenly slams shut. She tries it, and can’t get it to open. She says, hello? and then gets it open. She goes out into the hall, but she doesn’t see anything, and says, it must have been a draft. She goes back in, picks up the box of Franco’s artwork, turns out the lights, and closes the door.

Stella says, she shouldn’t have to explain this to Marshall, but apparently, she does. Keeping the truth from Curtis is like playing with fire, and she will not allow her nephew to be burned. He asks if she really thinks he’d do anything to hurt his boy, and she says, not on purpose. He says, then let him have this chance, when Curtis comes back. He says, the wings sounded so good, he asked Phyllis to bring them a dozen… If that works for Stella. She says, whatever makes him happy.

Spencer glances at Esme, asleep on his shoulder, and takes out his phone. He texts Trina, saying, worried about u. Text me.

Cameron gives Josslyn a coffee mug, and Trina sees the text came in, but ignores it. Cameron says, now Trina, but she says, no. She’s had more than enough to drink tonight. He says, it’s just cider; no alcohol, just sugar. She takes it, saying, that, she can do. He wants to propose a toast, and Josslyn asks if they’re drinking to never having to do anything Esme tells them again. Trina says, here, here, and Cameron says, he was aiming for something more positive. To best friends. Trina and Josslyn say, to best friends, and they all clink mugs.

Carly tells Michael, stay warm, and he goes back inside. Her phone rings.

Michael asks if Willow is okay, and she says, she was trying to order a copy of her birth certificate off the state’s online portal. He says, no luck? Don’t worry. There’s still time to get an expedited passport. She says, it’s not the website that’s the issue; it’s her birth certificate. There’s no record it exists.

On the phone, Sonny says he knows Carly wants space, and respects that. She says, and yet he called. He says, he’ll give her all the space she needs if she’ll give him one hour on Friday. She asks, why? What’s happening on Friday? He says, one hour. It’s important to him. She says she can give him one hour, and he says, great. He’ll send a text, and give her all the information. He’s giving her space. She smiles, and says, goodnight. They hang up, and he says, it’s a start, and leaves the hospital.

Tomorrow, Ned says, it’s time to marry the woman of his dreams; Britt tells Austin that he might want to revisit his decision; Willow says, Paris here we come; and Sonny says, you can bet on it.

Below Deck

When we last left, Heather had called for the ice cream to be brought to the beach too early, and Rachel was pissed.

Heather suggests they keep it in the cooler, but Rachel says she doesn’t care anymore. Rayna tells Fraser, Heather is a f***ing bitch, and the guests ask for more lobster. Heather tells Rachel that she tried to communicate, and in Heather’s interview, she says, she can see the stress is getting to Rachel. She’s trying to step back, but she’s going to put on her fireproof suit, and hope she doesn’t go up in flames. On the boat, Wes chats up Kaylee, and in his interview, he says, she’s super attractive. He guesses he’s all about third stews, and misses Jessica. He tells Kaylee that when she’s done, she should come down and hang out. Eddie nails Wes to clean before the guests arrive, and Wes tells Kaylee, never mind. Rachel says, the ice cream is foamy, and Rayna says, but it tastes good. Heather tells the guests that the water is amazing, and some of them get in. Eddie picks up Rachel and Heather, and takes them back to the boat. One of the guests finds a sand dollar, and there’s major excitement. I just think, nice of you to wrest it from its home, thereby killing it. 😟

Back on the boat, Rachel tells Eddie that she’s going to Miami after this. She’s bought a bus; a full sized Bluebird with a commercial kitchen. She’s going on a real road trip. In Rachel’s interview, she says, she bought a 40 foot bus, so she can hit everyone she doesn’t like. It’s no longer metaphoric; it’s literal. Eddie goes to pick up the guests, and one tells him that they loved Hamilton, and he says he heard Hamilton stopped by. When they get back to the boat, the guests have a shot, and primary Stephanie tells Heather that they’d like the captain to eat dinner with them. The stews blow up balloons, and Heather says, the dinner theme is Alexander Glamilton. Jake tells Fraser about letting Paris know he’s taking an 8 day holiday in Miami after the season. Fraser says he’s thinking of taking two weeks Miami, and asks if Jake wants to share a hotel. Heather asks Eddie for a quick moment with him and Jake on the bridge. Eddie tells Captain Lee that he’s sure she’s going to ask them to do something stupid. Heather tells them to approach the idea with an open mind. The guests have requested to see Alexander Hamilton be shot. He can use the same outfit and she’ll find one for Jake to be Aaron Burr. The captain says, the only thing that would give him pleasure in seeing Eddie get shot is if he does the shooting. She asks if he wants to be Burr, and it’s a quick, hard no. In Captain Lee’s interview, he says he thinks it’s cheesy, but if the guests want it, it’s what they get. Eddie says he’s down for this sh*t.

Rachel wants a silent galley for dinner, and in her interview, she says, it’s the last charter, and she’s going to be busy. Rayna goes to the galley to help, and Rachel repeats that she wants it silent. The captain puts on his white dress uniform, and everyone is seated. The guests are impressed with the captain, and primary Darin says, their kids are worried they’re bored. The first course is pronounced delicious, and Rachel thanks Kaylee for being understanding about the quiet. In Kaylee’s interview, she says she’s terrified. She doesn’t want to say or do anything, or even look at Rachel. She doesn’t want to get in Rachel’s way. Darin says the captain has good kids working on the boat, and the captain suggests sending some of the crew back with them. Except for Rachel. For Rachel, he could get two or three Eddies. Heather dares to tell Rachel that the guests are loving it, and in her interview, Rachel says, she made it clear no socializing in the galley. Just take the food up; that’s it. Rayna tells Heather that Rachel does not have the time, and Rachel does the cloche thing with some Kobi beef with pearl onions. Captain Lee jokes that it really sucks. In Rachel’s interview, she says she loves presentation; it’s everything. She’s made chocolate boxes, and she’s going to put sh*t on them, then burn them, and make them amazing. Jake and Eddie get into their costumes. Rachel tries to coat the chocolate boxes with white chocolate, but something goes wrong, and she says, the white chocolate is f***ed. That’s what happens when she’s distracted. She’s about to eat everyone’s face off. She throws it all in a sink, and says she doesn’t care anymore. She has to improvise.

Captain Lee tells the guests about cruising in the Bahamas, and how nurse sharks will come up to the boat. He says, they’re docile creatures, and the crew would jump in the water, freaking out the guests. We get the occasional curious nurse shark here that will come up close to the beach, and they never bother anyone. Rachel concocts a cherries jubilee, bringing it up along with tiny pitchers of (I think) chocolate sauce. Heather says, and for the grand finale, Eddie and Jake are here for them to witness the reenactment of a duel. It’s not a long duel, but Eddie’s death takes about the same amount of time. The captain says, that’s what happens when you feed the animals, and in Eddie’s interview, he says he’s still got it. Captain Lee tells the guests that he has captain stuff to do.

Since Rachel isn’t in the galley, Heather thanks Rayna, and says the guests loved it. Rayna ignores her, and in Rayna’s interview, she says, she and Heather will never see eye to eye. She’ll work with Heather, but they’ll never be friends. Bye, bitch. Heather says, best night ever. Holy! If not even being civil is Rayna’s way of working with someone, I’d hate to see if she was working against them. Fraser asks how Jake feels after his performance, and Jake says he’d do it again. Rachel tells Heather that she’s sorry about it having to be super quiet. Heather says, they survived, and Rachel says, at least it’s done. Heather says she liked working with Rachel, and Rachel says she’d like doing another season with Heather. Heather asks if Rachel thinks she can handle all this.

Eddie chases Rachel with a Bible, and she hisses. Heather asks Fraser, what’s the best way for her to handle Rayna; Rayna won’t even talk to her. Fraser says, Rayna’s not even giving her a chance, and Heather says, she claims she is. In Heather’s interview, she says, she’s apologized a bunch of times, and Rayna says, it’s all good. She takes Rayna at her word, and then Rayna ignores her. What is she supposed to do? Fraser tells her to just smile, and not say anything she doesn’t have to. Captain Lee tells Eddie that you always need to plan a docking. He’s going to pop Eddie’s cherry. Eddie says, he’s never docked a boat this big, and the captain says, the first time he did, it scared the hell out of him. He’s exited for Eddie. He’ll no longer be a virgin in that department. Rachel makes the last breakfast, and Darin announces he’s a muffin connoisseur. Stephanie says she doesn’t want to go back to the cold and snow. Captain Lee says he feels like he’s about to give birth, and Eddie says, that sounds like a personal problem.

In Eddie’s interview, he says, today is the culmination of the season for him. His palms are sweating, and his adrenaline is high. A crash is always a fear. Eddie discovers the bow thruster isn’t working outside, and the engineer is called. Captain Lee says, he’ll take control from inside, and in his interview, Eddie says, it’s his one opportunity to dock the ship, and he can’t do it. It sucks. The engineer discovers the thruster was depressed, and the captain tells Eddie to give it another shot. He gives Eddie instructions as Eddie docks, and the docking is successful. I have to mention, there are literally no other boats at the dock. Eddie thanks the deck team for making him look good. He tells the captain, it was easy, and exaggerates his hand shaking as he lifts his water bottle.

The crew meets on the aft deck to say goodbye to the guests. Stephanie says, it was the trip of a lifetime, and thanks the captain. She tells Eddie and Jake that they loved the Hamilton bit, and gives Captain Lee the tip envelope. The crew works for a hot minute, and the captain calls them to the crew mess for the tip meeting. He tells them that it went pretty good, and tells Rachel that her food was over the top. He tells Eddie, good job docking, and says, Eddie made his job easier. Everyone did a good job. The tip is $17K, or $1400 each, and the captain says, they made a total of $147K for the season. He tells them to go out tonight, and Jake says, he knows it’s going to be a great night. In Jake’s interview, he says he’s ready to party; he can’t wait. He and Wes jump into the water, followed by Rayna and Kaylee, who, no surprise, Rayna has taken a shine to. The captain watches them, and laughs. The crew starts drinking in the taxis, and Jake kisses Rayna.

Eddie says, he’s so excited see another part of the island, and they drive into the jungle, where there’s a restaurant in a clearing. They watch the sunset, and Fraser tells Heather not to be affected by Rayna’s behavior. She’s better than this. Water off a duck’s back. There’s also a gift shop, and they go in to check it out. They sit at their private table, and Heather says, multiple times, the various departments leaned on each other, and she appreciates all of them. Fraser says, they had each other’s backs, and Eddie suggests a shot. Rayna says how much they love Kaylee, and Heather says, they’d been stressing over it before Kaylee came. Rayna says, they didn’t know if she’d be another Heather, and points out that Heather used the n-word. I feel like I’m in Groundhog Day. Eddie says he’s bored, and Heather suggests he jump in the fountain. Which he does. Rayna tells Fraser that her petty speedometer is on 100,000, whatever that means. She doesn’t want Heather to talk to her, and Fraser says, he thinks Heather is trying, but Rayna says she’s not going to be friends with a white person who says the n-word. In Fraser’s interview, he says he’s close to both Rayna and Heather. It’s obvious Rayna is trying to provoke Heather, which isn’t nice, although Rayna has every right to be pissed. Can’t they all be civil, and enjoy the night? That’s all he’s asking for. Agreed on Rayna having the right to be pissed, but what she doesn’t have the right to do is take Heather on a roller coaster ride; saying it’s all good, being passive/aggressive in showing it’s not good, then saying it’s good, and getting mad all over again. At best, immature behavior, and at worst, psychotic behavior. Eddie buys some new clothes that look like something you’d get in a Florida variety store. They get in the taxis to go back.

Rayna says Kaylee is riding with them, since she has more fun with them, and Heather says, that’s what she thinks, but Kaylee lived with her for six months. Heather heads for the other taxi, and Rayna – for some bizarre, unknown reason – says, and Heather was the rudest to her. I say bizarre, unknown reason because I highly doubt Kaylee said anything like that. Heather tells Rayna to shut her mouth or say it to her face, and Eddie says, oh sh*t. In Heather’s interview, she says, she doesn’t know why Rayna has this attitude. She’s at a loss. Rayna tells Heather that she doesn’t like white people who say the n-word, and Heather says, Rayna told her everything was okay. Rayna repeats that she doesn’t like white people who say the n-word, and Heather gets on her knees and begs forgiveness. Rayna says she might as well get up, because there is no forgiveness. Heather says, that’s her prerogative, and Rayna says, Heather is causing a scene. Eddie steers Rayna away from Heather, and in her interview, Heather says, she wasn’t expecting it to come up again. She tried to have a conversation with Rayna, and Rayna said everything was okay. She understands Rayna’s point-of-view, and even why Rayna doesn’t want to forgive her. She recognizes that, but wants Rayna to see her and not her mistakes. Heather starts to cry, and Rayna curses her out in the taxi. Wes says, Heather admitted to it, and Rayna tells him to shut up. He’s f***ing Black, and should understand. Fraser says, for f***’s sake, and Rayna tells Wes, STFU. He’s not Black. In Wes’s interview, he says it’s painful that Rayna would so easily throw away somebody who’s wanted to help her. He’s deeply hurt. Heather asks Rachel to reason with Rayna, and in Rayna’s interview, she says, she deserves to be upset, but they’re all drunk, and this is not the place. She’s trying not to be the angry Black person, but there’s only so much she can handle. Rachel and Rayna get in a taxi together.

Back at the boat, everyone goes their separate ways. Rachel holds Heather in her bunk, and Rayna gets in Jake’s bunk. In the morning, Wes says, what’s happening above him? He wants out. He jets, and in the galley, Eddie tells whoever that he doesn’t know what to say about last night. Rachel opens champagne, and Wes tells Rayna, what she said wasn’t cool. Rayna says, she gets it, but doesn’t need anybody giving Heather a pass. Wes says he may be from the islands, but he was mostly brought up in the states. Rayna walks away without finishing the conversation, which is no surprise. She’ll probably get mad later and rage text him. Heather says she appreciates Rachel, and Rachel says, same. Heather gets her. In Kaylee’s interview, she wonders how it can be over. She just got here. After this, she imagines living in a van, not working. That’s the goal. Hashtag, VanLife. In Wes’s interview, he says he misses his sailboat, and hopes it hasn’t sunk. He has so much to take home. He’s excited to chill TF out. Rayna says she loves him, and gives him a hug. Jake says, it’s been a pleasure, and Rayna yells to Rachel that she’s leaving. Rachel tells Heather to just be civil.

Captain Lee tells Eddie, you did good, kid. And in a twist to confuse us all, Rayna hugs Heather. Heather says she wishes Rayna the best, and prays Rayna will feel that her apology is from the heart. In Rayna’s interview, she says, how much liquor was involved was no excuse, but she wants to move past it. She says she doesn’t want to leave Rachel, and Rachel thanks her for her help. In her interview, Rayna says, it’s hard to say goodbye to Rachel. She sees herself as a chef, and it will take time, but there’s no challenge she can’t do. She can’t see herself as having a goal and not accomplishing it.

Rachel goes to the bridge to say goodbye to Captain Lee, who says he’s still waiting for the same meal twice. She can put that on her resumé. Rachel says, put that in your cloche and smoke it. In the captain’s interview, he says, it was Rachel’s season of redemption. She upped her game, and did herself proud. If you looked inside her mind, it would be like a roller coaster. It would scare the hell out of you, but you’d like it. In Eddie’s interview, he says, Jake is a strange guy. He doesn’t give a f***, and does what makes him happy. Eddie respects that. Jake is his favorite. In Fraser’s interview, he says he’s learned so much. He wants to be chief stew, and has a lot to learn still, but he’s ready. Fingers crossed he gets the chance. Eddie says Rachel killed it, and they hug. He says he adores her. Heather says goodbye to Rachel, and they dance around, then hug. In Rachel’s interview, she says she’s going to travel. She can’t wait to start her journey on the bus. I’ll be at a parking lot near you. Heather tells Captain Lee, they survived, and he says, they kicked ass. In Heather’s interview, she says, she’s looking forward to the next chance to be even better.

Eddie and the captain sit with their feet up. Captain Lee says, they got through it, and Eddie says he had an interesting season as first officer. The crew had a lot of issues. The captain says, Eddie was out of his comfort zone, but that was good for him. In Captain Lee’s interview, he said, when it’s time for him to hang up his stripes, he’d like to see Eddie be captain. You’ve done well, grasshopper. He says he’s going to miss Eddie, but he’s sure their paths will cross again. Eddie says it’s great working for the captain, but Captain Lee says, Eddie doesn’t work for him; Eddie works with him. In Eddie’s interview, he says, the captain challenged him more in this position, but overall, he loves his boat pop-pop. He and the captain hug, and Eddie leaves. The captain says he’s going to miss Eddie. He’d better get his ass packed.

There was no preview because this was the finale. No doubt the Reunion will be next. I’m pretty sure Rayna will be pissed off again by then.

💘 See You Next Month…

Come join me for the first soap of February tomorrow. The Real Housewives of New Jersey is also starting its new season, but I’m not sure how invested I’ll be in that. So perhaps a little NJ, a little tea; who knows? But until then, stay safe, stay a step ahead, and stay not missing what someone actually needs, in trying to give them what you think they want.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

The week continues with me missing the beginning, so here’s what happened before it had my full concentration. Alexis called someone for backup, and her daughters arrived, asking what the emergency was. Alexis said she was changing her plea to guilty, which didn’t go over too big with the Davis girls. Valentin rang the doorbell, and Molly told him it wasn’t a good time, but Alexis said she wanted to see him. At Kelly’s, Trina and Josslyn looked at the social media posts about Franco’s funeral, and hoped Cameron was ignoring them. They decided to put flowers on Sonny and Dev’s graves. Already at the cemetery, Cameron saw his biological father’s gravestone, and listed all the bad things that had happened to him, saying that if Zander had been there, it might have been different. Zander appeared and said he got it; it was all his fault. Sasha went to see Brando in his hospital room, where he was getting dressed. She told him the nurses had been talking about the hot guy who was checking out against the doctor’s advice. She helped him with a button he’d missed, but Cyrus interrupted. Maxie told Peter that Sam would be back soon, but he doubted it, since he’d seen her leaving with the boxes. She wanted him to unlock the door and give her back the key, but he said she was safer with him around. Michael saw that Brook was pregnant, but she avoided the subject, and told him how heartbroken she was to hear about Sonny. She said she would have come back, but she figured Michael had Willow… or Sasha. And then…

Zander says it’s good see Cameron. He can only imagine what Cameron’s mom told him. Cameron says she almost never mentions him. He was her best friend’s boyfriend, something happened, they left town, and he got Cameron’s mom pregnant. Then, he died. He read about Zander’s death online at a site on suicide by cop. He was surrounded by police, saw no way out, and pulled an imaginary gun. He knew the police would have no choice but to shoot him. He’s got to say, as father figures go, Zander went in style. Zander says, and he’s to blame for everything wrong in Cameron’s life. Cameron says, when he was seven, he fell off his bike, and got ten stitches. Maybe it is Zander’s fault. Maybe if he’d been there to teach Cameron how to ride a bike, it wouldn’t have happened. Zander says, maybe he can still teach Cameron something, but Cameron says, one problem; he’s dead. Zander says, true, but Cameron isn’t. Is he really throwing away his future because today hurts so bad? Cameron asks why he cares. He had his chance to be a dad, and blew it. Zander says he’s still Cameron’s dad, and always will be, whether Cameron likes it or not. Cameron should take the opportunity to from his mistakes.

Cyrus says, so it’s true. Brando is being released. He asks if Brando is ready to leave. His job has been on hold since his unfortunate accident, and still needs his attention. Brando says he wasn’t sure he had a job to come back to, and Cyrus asks who Brando thinks is paying his medical bills. Brando says he’s grateful, but Cyrus says, there’s no need for gratitude; benefits are part of the job. Sasha asks if the job benefits include getting shot, when Gladys comes in. She asks, where’s her boy? and runs to Brando, hugging him. She says, if something had happened to her boy, she could never forgive herself – or anyone else.

Michael tells Brook, some things have changed since she’s been gone. He and Willow had their marriage annulled, but Willow is living in the gatehouse so she can be close to Wiley. Brook says she’s glad Nelle’s plan to abduct Wiley was stopped, and he says, thanks to her. Any update on her voice? She says, let it suffice to say she won’t be singing any duets with Taylor Swift any time soon. But she’s alive, which is more than she can say for Julian. Michael says, he was on the bridge with Sonny, but only Julian’s body was recovered. She asks how Lucas is handing it, and he says, it hit Lucas harder than Lucas wanted it to, but he thinks Lucas has moved on. Lucas sees Wiley, which is good for both of them. She guesses that was his idea, and he says, there can’t be too many people to love Wiley. She says she can think of one more. Sonny was someone she thought would always be there. They hug.

Alexis says she wants Valentin to stay, and asks for Molly’s take on her plea. Molly says just because she’s in law school doesn’t mean she’s an expert, and Kristina says she works at the DA’s office, but Molly says that doesn’t mean she has privileged information. Alexis says she just wants Molly’s legal opinion, and Molly says, it hasn’t changed. If Alexis pleads not guilty, even if she’s not acquitted, the sentence should be lenient; maybe a combination of rehab and community service. Alexis says, and if she pleads guilty? Molly says, she’ll be sent to Pentenville.

Maxie says she knows what she told Peter at the hospital wasn’t easy to hear, but she hasn’t changed her mind. If anything, she’s more certain they have no future together. He says they have to, for their family and daughter. She says she’s thinking about their daughter. She knows no matter what else he’s done, he loves their daughter. He says he does. That’s why they have to provide a healthy, happy home. He’s not suggesting rushing back into a wedding. They can take time to work things out. Maybe go to couples counseling. She says she doesn’t think couples counseling is the answer. He killed Drew. He says, hearsay from unreliable sources like Valentin and Obrecht. They have no proof. The past is dead. He killed it. She asks, how exactly did he do that?

Zander tells Cameron, he made mistakes. He made bad choices, and now his time was wasted. He did a few good things – Cameron is one of them – but in the end, his bad choices won. They dragged him down like a riptide, and pulled him under, but it’s not too late for Cameron to make good choices. Cameron says he’s a senior in high school. Now Zander is giving him fatherly advice? It’s too late, doesn’t he think? Zander says Cameron sounds like him. For him, it was a bluff because he was hurting, and didn’t know how to express it. Cameron insists he’s not hurting; he’s mad. Zander says, Cameron is right to be mad as hell. He feels hopeless, and like it will never end, but he can’t give in. Cameron says, like him? but Zander says they’re not talking about him; they’re talking about Cameron. If Cameron doesn’t want to do it for himself, do it for those who need him, and give him a purpose. He’s seen Cameron with Jake and Aiden. He puts his hands on Cameron’s shoulders and says, he has so much potential. Don’t follow his example. Don’t give in to negative impulses and anger. Cameron says, easy for him to say, and Zander tells Cameron that he was hurting, and wanted the world to hurt with him. Cameron has a chance he never did. Franco turned out to be a great father. Cameron was safe and loved. Don’t make a lie out of everything Franco did for him. It’s his choice.

Brando asks when Gladys got to town, and she says, actually, she’s been there a few days. She was working up the nerve to see him. Things didn’t end on the best note. She says hello to Cyrus, and says, it’s good to see him. She hopes in the future, Cyrus takes better care of her son. Cyrus assures her that Brando is in good hands, and Gladys says she and Sasha met at Sonny’s house at Christmastime. Sasha was with Michael. Sasha says, they broke up, and Gladys says she bets Sasha couldn’t stand his pushy mother. She can’t say she blames Sasha. Brando says, sorry about his mother, but Sasha says, it’s okay. It’s not easy for her to see her son in the hospital. She’ll leave them alone. Cyrus says he’ll join her, and they leave. Brando closes the door, and says, okay. Now they’re alone. What is she doing there, and what’s in it for her?

Brook tells Michael, the last time she spoke to Granny, she said Ned and Olivia hadn’t reconciled, despite her best efforts. He asks if Tracy told her how far she went, and Brook shakes her head. He says, Tracy framed Alexis for drunk driving, thinking she’d go to rehab, and wouldn’t be able to talk about her and Ned’s one-night stand. Brook guesses it backfired, and Olivia found out. That’s why her dad wanted her to come back. Michael says, and Tracy went back to Europe. That leaves him with the question, who’s the father? She says, the answer is, none of his business.

Molly says, Alexis injured Dante, and almost killed him. They’re not going to give her a slap on the wrist. Kristina says, Franco was just shot. Someone else thought he was dangerous too. Alexis says they’re talking about her. She did it because she was drunk, and never would have done it if she’d been sober. She won’t get sober unless she faces what she’s done. Kristina says, if Dante can forgive her, maybe the jury can, but Alexis says, it’s a disease, not an excuse. She asks what Valentin thinks, and he says he thinks she’s a fighter. She asks if he thinks she should plead not guilty, and he says, not if she wants to take responsibility. If she wants that, she’ll have to plead guilty.

Peter tells Maxie that he was talking symbolically. The past died when he turned his back on Anna and her lies. The past died when he found out Valentin wasn’t his true friend. For better or worse, he’s the son of Alex Marick and Cesar Faison. Faison was Nathan’s father too, and Maxie loved him with all her heart. Maxie almost smiles, remembering Nathan, and says, he’s right. This doesn’t have anything to do with DNA or what name Peter uses. It’s about the man Peter is. He says, exactly, and starting today, everything he does is for her and their daughter. The bond between the three of them can’t be broken. She says he already broke it, with his lies and his actions. He was never honest with her, but she’s going to be honest with him. He’s going to have no part in her life or this baby’s.

Cameron tells Zander that he’s the very definition of too little too late. Where was he when Cameron was afraid of the dark? When he needed someone to check under the bed and look in the closet, and promise no monsters were there? Where was he when Cameron’s dog died? Where was he when Cameron messed up, and had to face a judge, and got community service? Where was he when Cameron’s heart got broken, when he was kidnapped, or lost his best friend to cancer?

Peter says Maxie doesn’t know what she’s saying. They got into her head. Spinelli and Robert have been gunning for him since he got to town. Valentin and Anna are just the latest. Don’t listen to them. He understands why Mac is important to Maxie, since her father abandoned her, and she was deprived of a father’s love. Would she do the same with their child? She says she’s going to do her best for their child, and he says, of course (🍷) she will. She’s loving and generous, and also smart. She knows better than to try and keep him from his child. She asks if he’s  threatening her, and he says she’s been lied to by people she loves and trusts. He’s trying to give her time to recover from the shock. When she’s healed, her natural goodness will give her the clarity to see through the lies, and everything will be as it was meant to be… as they’re meant to be.

Michael says, it’s not like Brook can hide until the baby comes. What if he arranges a family dinner? She can tell everyone at once. She says her immediate plans are up in the air, but who would he invite? He says, Ned would want to be there, and maybe he and Olivia could make it through a full dinner if they don’t have to focus on themselves. Monica and Willow; maybe Valentin. She asks if he’s kidding her. That crazy guy tricked her into selling her stock, and took ELQ away from Michael. He asks if that’s why she waited until Valentin left before she said hello, but she says she didn’t know he was there. He says, then she missed the part where Valentin offered to give him back control of the company if he’d let Nina spend time with Wiley. She says, did he really? He actually has a heart. Who knew?

Molly asks Alexis to help her understand. If she pleads guilty, she’ll be sent to prison, and somehow free herself of addiction? Kristina says, it makes no sense. If Alexis needs help, go to rehab. Alexis says Dante told her that demons follow you wherever you go, and Valentin says, unless you face them. Alexis says she’s tired. Tired of running. She needs to confront what she did, and not just one thing, all of it. She tells Kristina and Molly, it’s the only way she’s going to survive.

Gladys says, Brando got shot. Of course (🍷) she’s there. How could he doubt her intentions? He says he knows her, so save the lecture. He already knows she told Cyrus that Dev wasn’t Sonny’s cousin, but a refugee Sonny was shielding. She says she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Poor Dev. She couldn’t have loved him more if he’d been her own grandson. To think he was killed in a blast… It’s surreal. Now her son was almost gone. He says, let that be a lesson to her. The closer you get to Cyrus, the more dangerous life gets.

Cyrus asks if Sasha has time for coffee; his treat. And he’s not talking the diesel fuel from the vending machine. He has an espresso maker in his office. She says the last time she accepted his hospitality, she ended up in the hospital, and he says, as she wishes. She tells him, wait. She’s not minimizing who he is, or the things he sells, but no one put a gun to her head. She has no one to blame but herself. He asks if it’s her talking, or her counseling, and she says she’s quoting her counselor, but she believes she’s responsible for her choices.

Zander says he should been there. Instead, he gave up. He gave up on himself, life, everything. In one moment, he threw away everything. Now Cameron is at his own fork in the road, and it’s time for him to choose. If he chooses wrong, he knows what they’ll say; like father, like son. Trina and Josslyn show up, and Trina reads the gravestone, Alexander Smith. Josslyn says, Cameron’s biological father. He used to be called Zander, right? Cameron says, right. He was just here.

Cameron repeats, he was just here, and Trina says, who? Cameron says, it doesn’t matter. He left, just like everyone else. Josslyn says, that’s not true. She and Trina are there. That counts, right? He asks who the flowers are for, and Josslyn says, they’re for Dev and Sonny’s graves. Cameron says, typical. Someone else gets the flowers and the girl. Trina asks what he’s talking about, and Josslyn says, no offense, but has he been drinking? He says he wishes he had that as an excuse. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt so much.

Gladys says, if anyone is close to Cyrus, it’s him. What does he do for Cyrus? Anything his mother should know about? He says he’s a driver; it’s just a job. And if she doesn’t mind, he’d like to get out, and get back to earning his pay. She says he’s so conscientiousness, but she’s not letting him do anything until he recovers. He asks how she’s going to monitor him from Bridgeport, and she says she’s sticking around to make sure her baby boy is okay.

Sasha says, sometimes she can’t figure Cyrus out. It seems like he has genuine concern for Brando. He says he’s not the only one, and she says, Brando has been a good friend, and she appreciates Cyrus looking out for him. It makes him seem almost human. Cyrus says she’d be surprised how human he is, and she says she knows exactly what he is.

Michael tells Brook, of course (🍷) he wants the company back, but his duty is to his son’s interests first. He’s not trading Wiley’s emotional well-being for stock. She says, whatever the case, she’s tired and wants to lie down. She asks him to get her suitcase from the car; she has no energy to talk to anyone else about the latest developments. He says she’s going to have to talk to the baby’s father, and she says, no offense, but he had a baby with a psychopath, and he’s offering her advice? Back off. He says he’s trying to make her understand it’s imperative she tells the truth, and she tells him to handle the suitcase; she’ll handle the rest. He says, Valentin is the baby’s father, isn’t he?

Kristina says, what’s it to Valentin if her mom goes to prison? Molly says she agrees with Kristina. She tells Alexis that it sounds brave and noble to take responsibility for her actions, but Pentenville isn’t equipped with the kind of rehab Alexis needs. Alexis says she doubts she’ll be the only one drinking. There’s probably an AA meeting, and if there isn’t, she’ll start one. Sam says, prison isn’t rehab. If she goes to Pentenville, she’ll have no support system. Is she ready for that?

Maxie tells Peter that she wants to believe there’s light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s not a freight train coming at her. He says, the light she sees is real. Their love and their family is real. Maxie says, he was right. She just needs time to figure out where they go from here. He tells her to take all the time she needs. He thinks he’ll hold on to the key in the meantime. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if something happened to her, James, or the baby. She looks at him stone-faced. Um… can’t she just change the locks?

Trina says, okay. They went to Dev and Sonny’s graves. Josslyn says, now they can take Cameron home, but he says, actually, he’s not going home. One thing he learned tonight is that he doesn’t need anybody. Josslyn says he’s not the only one who lost someone. Unfortunately, there’s plenty of grief to go around. Quit feeling sorry for himself. He says, she’s right. He’s just another loser. We see Zander watching, and Cameron says, like father, like son. Trina hopes the pity party is over soon. For the record, she and Josslyn don’t hang out with losers. He’ll have to accept they’re amazing friends, and he’s lucky to have them. Cameron says, right, the luckiest, and smiles. Zander watches.

Gladys comes back out, and tells Sasha that Brando is asking to see her. Sasha goes to see Brando, and Cyrus asks how Gladys likes her accommodations. She says she’d prefer an upgrade to the MetroCourt. It’s the least he could do in exchange for her looking out for his interests.

Brando is packing when Sasha comes in. She asks if he needs a ride, but he says his mother insists on taking him home. She says his mother is talking to Cyrus, and he says, hopefully, she’s just passing through. His advice, keep her distance. She tells him, don’t worry. She has no intention of letting anyone too close.

Michael tells Brook, don’t deny it. He knows she spent the night with Valentin before she left Port Charles. She admits Valentin is the father, and Michael asks when she’s going to tell him. She says, it’s complicated, and she might not tell him. Michael says, the man can do the math, and she says, if she deceives him though, there will be fewer heartbreaks. Michael says, he didn’t say that, she did Still, playing with Valentin Cassadine is playing a dangerous game.

Kristina and Molly tell Alexis that they love her, give her a hug, and leave. Sam asks Valentin if he’s leaving too, and he says he’d like to stick around and discuss options if it’s okay with Alexis. Alexis says it is, and Sam asks if she’s sure about that. Alexis says yes, Sam tells Alexis that she loves her, and leaves. Alexis tells Valentin, this is getting to be a habit. He says if she wants him to leave, say the word. She says, milk and sugar? and he says, two sugars.

Maxie says, maybe there still is a place for Peter in her life, with her and the baby. He says, that’s more like it. He smiles and leaves, and she calls a locksmith. Not really, but she should. She puts the chain lock on the door, and tells the baby, one thing I’ll never share, sweetheart, is you. Never ever.

Tomorrow, Laura asks how she can help, Sam tells Dante there’s been a change in plans, Peter asks Cyrus what’s in it for him, and Elizabeth says she’s going to make sure Jason pays.

👔 Cameron’s Bio-Dad…

If you need a refresher course, like I did.

🥾 Same Zander, Different Day…

I wonder if it felt like going home.

https://www.tvinsider.com/990371/chad-brannon-zander-returns-to-general-hospital-first-look/

🐎 I caught a little of The Real Housewives of Dallas, and the women did some kind of meditation exercise with D’Andra’s shaman. Kameron and Kary reacted the same way I would. While everyone else was going, ohm-m-m, they could barely contain their laughter. Kary had a birthday party for Tiffany, which included a weird wall, where hands came out of small windows to hand them glasses of wine. I have to mention that D’Andra wears expensive headbands. I’ve noticed them on her before, and I can’t remember the brand, but I checked them out once. I couldn’t see paying $40 for a headband, when I can get one for a fraction of that at Ulta. It’s not a tiara for God’s sake. Tiffany was thrilled, since she never had a birthday party while growing up. She received a boiled egg per tradition – symbolizing wishes for a good year ahead – and a red envelope containing $20. Since the alcohol was flowing, she got sappy, telling the women that she’d just wanted to fit in. They said they’d thought she was the cool one. Me too. In her interview, she said it felt good to be part of this messed up group. I guess her bar is set pretty low. Everyone got really drunk, and Brandi fell off a swing, but she didn’t let it slow her down any. D’Andra ended up pitching a fit at Mama Dee over why she’d changed her last name to her stepfather’s. While D’Andra said it was because he’d taken care of her, Mama Dee said it was because D’Andra thought the name could open doors for her. It got pretty nasty. Brandi and Tiffany tried to comfort D’Andra, who also fell off the swing along with Tiffany, while Brandi managed to stay standing. I have no idea if a good time was had by all, or anybody really.

Next time, D’Andra defends the practice of meditation, and calls Brandi a cafeteria Christian.

While tomorrow brings Teresa and tea, for now, it’s time for me to roll. Until we and the Jersey Wives meet, stay safe, stay classy, and stay off the swing at Kary’s parties.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

There don’t seem to be any new episodes out there, and today ABC aired this one:

https://tvwiththeresa.wordpress.com/2021/02/10/february-9-2021-not-preempted-4u-phyllis-gives-nina-a-confirmation-will-they-or-wont-they-all-about-alex-unmasked-a-goodbye-new-wonder-dead-news-globe-list-today/

I’m guessing we’re done with preemption… for now.

Below Deck

Jolly Harbour. Francesca tells Elizabeth that every charter, she’s been putting in her energy, and checking up on her. Elizabeth sleeping in the guest cabin was the final straw. She’s been super disrespectful of the interior, and Francesca has come to a decision that she’s going to have to let Elizabeth go. Elizabeth looks panicked, and says, what? Francesca says, sorry, and Elizabeth asks if they can’t stick it out. Francesca says Elizabeth has exhausted her chances; sorry. Captain Lee says Francesca will help Elizabeth get her stuff together, and Elizabeth tells him, sorry. He says, sometimes it just doesn’t work out. Elizabeth tells Izzy that she’s been fired, and Izzy says, what the sh*t? Rachel asks Izzy if Elizabeth just said she got fired. In Elizabeth’s interview, she says she’d be the first to admit if she was wrong or she sucked, or she did anything to deserve it. It feels like it’s not even real. She says she can’t believe Francesca is doing this, and Francesca says Elizabeth’s behavior toward her is bullsh*t. It’s not nice, and she’s disrespectful. She’s been chatting to everyone about Francesca, and it’s coming back to her. Really? How come we never saw that? Elizabeth asks if Francesca will talk to the captain, but Francesca says she made the call. Rachel tells Izzy that sh*t rolls downhill. The only person actually keeping it together is Ashling. In Rachel’s interview, she says she understands Elizabeth’s foibles, but Elizabeth is close to her heart. We flash back to them having fun together, and Rachel says, it sucks, and it’s unfair. Francesca tells Elizabeth that she’s given her chances, and when Elizbeth reaches for Francesca’s arm, Francesca says, please don’t touch me, which is just a little overdramatic IMO. In Francesca’s interview, she says she doesn’t want to be a bad chief stew. Elizabeth was given chances. We flash back to Francesca calling Elizabeth out, and Francesca says Elizabeth shouldn’t be surprised. Elizabeth tells Rachel that Francesca doesn’t respect her, and wants her to go. Rachel says, stay calm, and just pack. Francesca tells Ashling about firing Elizabeth, and in James’s interview, he says he’s going to miss her. Izzy asks if James is okay, and he says he’s fine. In his interview, a producer asks if a part of him is relieved, and he asks why they said that to him. God, I’m an a-hole. At least he admits it. Elizabeth wails that now she has to go back to New York, and deal with the virus. She doesn’t want to go.

James tells Izzy that it shows how bad Elizabeth and Francesca got on, and Izzy says she thinks it’s personal. She tells James that she and Rachel had plans to get Elizabeth a birthday cake. Ashling the snake hugs Elizabeth, and in her interview, Ashling says, in some ways, she feels guilty. It should have happened three or four charters ago, but it never did. She doesn’t think yachting is for Elizabeth. Izzy tells Rob something about rinsing down the side of the boat, and he walks away, saying, just smile and nod. Francesca starts carrying Elizabeth’s bags downstairs. In Eddie’s interview, he says Francesca was looking for an ultimate reason to fire Elizabeth. It’s pretty evil, but it’s what’s best for the crew. Elizabeth tells Rachel that she’s okay. She says goodbye to everyone, and tells them that she loves them. James tells her, keep in touch, and she says, this sucks. He says he knows, and in her interview, she says, when an opportunity closes, it’s like a compass for her, and sends her in a better direction. She feels wronged, but believes in karma. What goes around, will come around for Francesca. She decides to call her energy healer.

March 13, 2020. Rachel says, it’s the eighth charter, and she’s so frustrated. In her interview, she says, Elizabeth is gone; who is going to be blamed now? Francesca’s done nothing to fix the problem. She tells Eddie, everything will come out in the wash, and become clear as day. In Francesca’s interview, she says it’s like a huge weight has lifted from her shoulders. Rachel is pissed about Elizabeth, but at this point, Rachel can jump off the boat. Rob tells Ashling, they’re going to nail it, and the crew gets ready to go out. The captain says, the whole goddam world has gone mad. James’s mother calls him, and tells him about all kinds of things being canceled, and how they can’t get hand sanitizer or soap. She thinks it’s going to get worse before it gets better. He wonders if he’s going to be stuck in Antigua, but she says it’s better than being stuck in the house.

They get in the taxi, and James says, Elizabeth was his drinking partner, and now he has no one. I play my violin. Ashling announces that it’s traumatic in Italy; all the shops are closed. Francesca says, it’s mental, and they all scroll their phones for news. Eddie thinks it will get bad for two weeks, then probably get better. Ha-ha-ha! That’s what we all thought. The birthday cake comes out, topped with sparklers, surprising Rachel. Francesca stupidly toasts to Elizabeth’s birthday, and everyone starts grabbing at the cake. The waitress says they started before she brought the knife, and Rachel says, it’s already in somebody’s back. BA-DUM-CHH! In Rachel’s interview, she says she ordered the cake, but then canceled it, and the sh*t showed up anyway. Francesca seems super stoked that Elizabeth isn’t there. Let’s celebrate. That’s f***ed up. Izzy tells the rest of them that she and Rachel assumed this wasn’t happening. Rachel leaves the restaurant, and Francesca suggests they go back to the boat. Outside having a smoke, Rachel says, tasteless as sh*t. Francesca sees Rachel sitting on a bench, and asks if she wants to come, but Rachel says she’s good. She thought what happened with the cake was distasteful, and not appropriate; she needs a moment. In Francesca’s interview, she says, Rachel is a ticking time bomb. She feels like if she says anything wrong, Rachel will explode. In Rachel’s interview, she says she was upset that the cake came. She thought that it was distasteful and handled wrongly. In the taxi, James says, Rachel is just using it as an excuse to be mad. Rachel takes a separate taxi back by herself.

Francesca feels she should talk to Rachel, but Eddie says he wouldn’t. Rachel comes back to the boat, and says it was the most distasteful thing she’s seen. Eating someone’s cake on their birthday when they’re gone was the wrong move. In her interview, Rachel says, there’s a pandemic, and these a-holes are celebrating Elizabeth’s departure. She doesn’t think it’s right. Rachel walks through the crew mess, and says, fine, whatever, and as she’s walking, she tells Francesca to shove the cake up her ass. Go Rachel. On deck, Rob tells James, it was the icing on the cake. Groan.

Rachel calls Vincenzo, who tells her that it’s 5 am. She says her friend got fired, then her birthday cake showed up at dinner. The crew cut the cake and celebrated, so she walked off. Vincenzo says, he’s happy to hear her voice, and in Rachel’s interview, she says Vincenza is her confidante. He makes everything better. She says she’s glad to see his face, and in her interview, she says he takes her away from a sh*t situation. Francesca whacks her head on the top of her bunk, and I laaaugh.

March 14. A newscaster says, they don’t know much, but it might just be the tip of the iceberg. In Rachel’s interview, she says, last night was a huge deal. Francesca is a super bully. She had to fire someone because she’s inept and incapable of training them. She effing sucks. Eddie tells the crew that the goal is to put things away, and leave them better than they found them. James says, the UK has been shut down. Rachel radios the captain, asking if he’s available, and Francesca wonders what she’s going to say. She knows Rachel is upset about Elizabeth, but what else might she say to the captain? She’s been trying hard to maintain a relationship, and not say anything. Rachel tells Captain Lee, this isn’t okay. She has issues with service. Captain Lee says they have two more charters; six effing days. He could do them standing on his head. He sees her frustration, but Francesca had to pick up the slack for Elizabeth. She’s been going to bed too late, and getting up too early, like Rachel. In his interview, the captain says, both Rachel and Francesca care about what they do, and want the same end result, but they each take a circuitous route. It’s a sh*t sandwich. Time to take a bite.

HA-HA-HA! Francesca hit her head on an open cupboard door. In Izzy’s interview, she says she’s starting to think she’ll have to talk to Rob. That sh*t brings up anxiety in her. She tells James that she doesn’t want to act like an a-hole, but she has to point out her authority. In her interview, she says Rob takes pleasure in bringing her down. She doesn’t know if it’s insecurities that he needs to talk to a therapist about, or he’s genuinely a d*ckhead. Eddie says he hates this effing island. Rachel radios Francesca to talk in the galley, and in her interview, Francesca says the last thing she wants to do is have a meeting with Rachel, but they have two charters left, and have to sort something out. Rachel says when Francesca is on service by herself, and needs help, she understands. Elizabeth wasn’t the best stew. Francesca says she gets where Rachel is coming from, but don’t take it out on her. Rachel apologizes (!), and says, they should make a good go of it, and kill it. In Rachel’s interview, she says, there are certain people you can’t bark at. If she gets aggressive with Francesca, she can’t get the end result she needs. Francesca says, if something isn’t working, they’re both proactive enough to fix it. In her interview, Rachel says, opening the communication barrier will help them be cohesive. They have two charters left. Then Francesca can s*ck her effing d*ck. Alrighty then.

Rob points out that James is using half a jar of peanut butter on his sandwich, and James says that’s because he’s on a diet. The captain looks at his phone, and tosses it down. He says, Jesus Christ, and ponders heavily. He says, the world is going to hell in an effing handbasket. He radios the crew to be in the main salon in five minutes. Rachel wonders what happened, and Eddie says, something’s not right. The crew gathers, and the captain says they have a situation. Their last two charters have been canceled, and effectively, their season has ended. In his interview, the captain says it’s something he’s never experienced, and it’s scary as hell, and frustrating. There’s not an effing thing he can do about it, and he’s not used to that. He tells the crew they’ll make their exit tomorrow. He’ll take care of the travel arrangements. In Francesca’s interview, she says she can’t believe this is happening. Her family isn’t well, and she’s afraid of what she can bring back. It’s a situation she doesn’t want. The captain says they’re done; they’ll wrap up tonight. Carry on. Rob says, that escalated quick, and Eddie goes to the bridge. He and Captain Lee agree that it got real, and in Eddie’s interview, he says he never thought this would happen. He’s worried about his family. He’s hearing there’s no toilet paper, and he doesn’t know what’s going on. Captain Lee tells him, it’s been a pleasure.

James calls his mom, and Izzy calls sister Tory. In Izzy’s interview, she says she’s not ready to leave. She’s not ready to go out and face the world in a pandemic. James tells his mom to fill the fridge, and put on an apron. There’s cooking that needs to be done. Ugh. I think he’s joking, but coming from him, it rubs me the wrong way. Rob whines that they lost five grand. I seriously doubt two more charters would have netted them five grand. More like  three. Rachel texts Vincenzo, and in her interview, she starts to cry, saying, she can’t see her boyfriend. She loves him, and he can’t come to the US. She just wants to see him. Vincenzo tells her, don’t stress. They’ll organize tomorrow In her interview, Rachel says she just wants to go home. The crew gathers in one of the lounges, and Eddie says he’s disappointed to have it end this way. They pour drinks, and the captain walks through. They offer him something, but he says he’s not in a celebratory mood. Francesca wonders why he’s not in a celebratory mood, since she’s such a moron, and Eddie says they might as well celebrate what they did this season. Francesca pops some champagne, and they toast. They put on some music, and take pictures, dancing and jumping around like idiots. Eddie finally decides to go to bed.

Francesca says going to Australia means quarantining for 14 days. In Rob’s interview, he says he was just setting up there. He feels nervous. He commanded boats to escape the rest of the world, but he can’t this time. He tells Eddie that his dad messaged him from Canada, and he thinks he has to go there. In Francesca’s interview, she says she has a 30 hour flight back, and doesn’t know what to expect. I break out my violin, and think, at least Elizabeth got a head start.

March 15, 2020. To top things off, it’s raining. In Captain Lee’s interview, he says, when he woke up, for a brief moment, he thought he had to get up for charter pick-up. Then the realization hit him, and he sat there going, WTF? He needs to be home with his family to take care of them. The engineer and delivery crew will take the boat back to the owners, and they’ll see how everything shakes out.

Francesca asks Eddie what his rose and thorn of the season were, and Eddie says his rose was charter one. We flash back to those very entertaining gay dudes, and he says his thorn was the entire goddam deck crew. Izzy tells James the way Rob acts toward her is rude, and we flash back to Rob being extremely disrespectful to her. James texts Rob, telling him, heads up. He thinks Izzy wants to have a chat with him about his rudeness. In his interview, James says, he likes them both, but Rob’s his boy. Izzy says, Rob has locked himself in the bathroom, so no one can speak to him. In Rob’s interview, he says he thinks it’s time for him to get back into the science swing of things. He likes mixing it up. Rob sees Izzy, and says he’s been meaning to talk to her, weirdly turning the tables. He wants to say he’s sorry for giving her a hard time. If anyone deserved to be lead deckhand, it’s her, and he’s glad. She says the way he treated her, and his passive comments were disrespectful, especially to someone in a new management position. It’s not appropriate, and a 32 year old shouldn’t act like a 12 year old. He says he’s sorry he made her feel that way, but she says she knows he doesn’t give a f***. He says, sometimes you see the error of your ways, and she asks if he has. She doesn’t think so, but hopes he has a safe trip home. He  thanks her for taking the time to talk to him. Ashling and Francesca eavesdrop like they’re 12 years old, and Francesca says she didn’t know the extent of the issue.

In Ashling’s interview, she says she sums up the experience as fun, vibrant, interesting, and weird. She says goodbye to Francesca, and in her interview, says, it’s goodbye for now. Who knows what the future holds? She might not be able to leave the country. Rachel goes to the bridge to say goodbye to Captain Lee. He tells her that she’s a talented chef, and he enjoyed working with her. In his interview, he smiles, and says, Rachel is a piece of work. She’s brilliant at her job, but there’s no doubt she’s wound up a little tight. He doesn’t mind. She wanted a shot at redemption, and she did him proud. Now that he knows which buttons not to push, he’d work with her again. In Rachel’s interview, she says she has no regrets, but she’s happy to get off the boat, and deal with what’s happening in the real world.

Francesca passes around a shammy for everyone to sign. Izzy tells James that she knows he tipped Rob off. In her interview, Izzy says, James is infatuated with Rob; they have a bromance. But she’s disappointed in him. It was a d*ck move. She tells him that he’s a sh*tbag. In her interview, she says she’s disappointed that James didn’t have her back, but it’s such a bromance, she’s not surprised. In James’s interview, he says he wants to go back to complaining about the English weather, going to the gym, and winding his parents up. The season was a muddled blur of work, arguments, and drama, with a sprinkle of fun. He and Izzy hug, and in her interview, Izzy says, they’re not divorced. They’re separated and taking a break separated. It’s a conscious uncoupling. James leaves, and Eddie tells Francesca, everything is nuts. Izzy goes to see Captain Lee, who tells her that she was a pleasure to work with. She says she learned so much, and has so much more to learn. She wants to prove she can do it. He says he thinks she’s capable of more than she realizes. He’s proud of her. They hug, and in Izzy’s interview, she says, the season ended much how she imagines sex with James would be – abrupt and unsatisfying. She started as third stew – she and Eddie clink beer bottles – and she’s ending the season where she deserves to be. She has a good feeling. She thanks Eddie for encouraging her to be an effing legend. He says if she keeps going the way she is, she’ll be bosun in no time. They hug, and she thanks him again. In Eddie’s interview, he says, it gets him choked up.

Francesca tells the captain goodbye, and gives him the shammy signed by the crew (sans Elizabeth), to remember the season by. He tells her, it’s sweet, but he won’t forget it any time soon. In his interview, he says that Francesca had big shoes to fill, but she’s very bright, and genuinely loves to please people. In Francesca’s interview, she says she had a lot to manage this season, and it was exhausting. It will be nice to go home, and see her family. Especially in times like these, that’s what’s most important. I wonder what the hell Francesca is wearing. She has a huge infinity scarf hanging over a nude top, and it looks like she’s wearing no top except the scarf.

Eddie goes to the bridge, and tells Captain Lee, the time has come. He has a flight to catch. The captain says, they made it – sort of. Eddie says, it sucks that it ended like this, but it was a wild ride, and the captain says he’s proud of Eddie. He made progress, and handled his team well. There were a few speed bumps, but there always are. The captain gives him a set of stripes, making him a first officer. Eddie says, it’s the second pair the captain has given him, and we flash back to seven years ago, when Eddie was made bosun. Captain Lee says he appreciates Eddie, and Eddie says, it was a good season. In Captain Lee’s interview, he says Eddie made the season easier. He worked tirelessly, and made the season for him. Eddie is what he would have wanted his son to turn out like… had he lived. He tells us, that’s all he can say, and I want to cry, looking at his face. He quietly says, he’s a great kid.

In Eddie’s interview, he says he’s honored to be given another stripe from Captain Lee. The captain is someone he holds to a high standard, and considers a good friend. It means the world to him. He walks down the dock, and says, that’s it, rounding the corner.

Captain Lee packs. In his interview, he says, it really sucks. He started the season in a hospital – we flash back to him telling Eddie that he has broken ribs – it didn’t start well – we flash back to Shane being let go, and Rachel walking off – and it didn’t end well – we flash back to the firing of Elizabeth, and news of the coronavirus, the announcer saying, this just may be the tip of the iceberg. The captain says, this year was tough. You have tough years, but don’t toss in the towel. You pick yourself up keep going because there are people who depend on you. It’s not the end of the world. We’re tougher and better than this. He hopes everyone gets home safe, and maybe to a better place than the one they left. As always, he tells us that he has the best goddam job in the world. He tells the boat, thanks, old girl.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the WSB facility in Geneva, Dante does push-ups while remembering his mission. Complete the mission plays in his head.

Lulu tells Brando to text her when her car is ready, but he says it was just a flat, and it’s finished. She tells him that she got a lead on a story, and didn’t even realize she had a flat. She’s glad his garage is there. Cyrus walks in and says, that makes two of them.

Lucy looks over Sasha’s photos, and loves them. She asks what Maxie’s secret is, and Maxie says, fear of failure and a good photographer. She asks which photo Lucy is going with, and Lucy pulls one out. Sasha asks if it’s weird to like her own picture. Maxie and Lucy both say, no! and Sasha says she likes it too. Valentin asks if he gets a vote.

Curtis goes to the hospital to take TJ to lunch, and TJ apologizes, saying he should have texted; they have to postpone. Curtis asks if TJ is supposed to live at the hospital, and TJ tells him it’s an unwritten rule for med students. Curtis says it’s the only place he gets to see TJ, and TJ says it’s the only place Molly gets to see him too. He did take off last night so they could be together though.

At the MetroCourt, Sam wants to talk to Carly about Jason’s power of attorney. Carly says Jason is her best friend, so of course (🍷) she said yes, but she doesn’t want to get in the middle of them. Sam says she wants to thank Carly.

Chase finds Jason outside the courtroom, and asks why he’s there. Jason says he’s picking up some permits, and Chase asks if he doesn’t have an assistant for that, but Jason says he wanted to follow-up in person. Chase says Jason saved him a call. He doesn’t have to answer, but at the risk of repeating himself, where was Jason on the night of February 19th when the warehouse exploded? Jason says he’s not saying anything without his attorney present, which is never a surprise to anyone. Chase says, he’s not asking in an official capacity, but he can. Jordan walks in, and asks what Chase is doing.

Dante looks at the pencil and paper. He gets up from the floor, picks up pencil, and puts it down again. A doctor comes in, and asks if Dante doesn’t take a day off, and Dante says, it’s something to do. The doctor says they have activities if he’s bored, but Dante says he’s good. He likes it. The doctor says he’s concerned about Dante. What does Dante think the WSB will say when they find out he refuses to engage in therapy? Dante says, nothing good, and the doctor says, they’re patient, but not indulgent. They’ll decide Dante is a lost cause, and consign him to the doctor’s care for the rest of his life. Dante says he’s fine with that.

TJ tells Curtis, last night was about putting Molly first, and reconnecting. Curtis says TJ has had a lot to deal with. TJ says, first, he was abducted, his abduction was never solved, and now he’s at the hospital full time. Curtis asks if he has to be, and TJ admits he doesn’t. Curtis says TJ didn’t just get abducted, he was injured; he’s still doing physical therapy. TJ says the hospital offered to accommodate him, but he turned them down.

Brando tells Cyrus, he’ll just be a minute, and Cyrus says, of course (🍷); the mayor’s daughter takes precedence. Lulu tells Brando, this is Cyrus Renault. He may have heard of Cyrus. He just came out of doing hard time. Cyrus says, for a crime he didn’t commit. Lulu says he was involved with the shooting where Brando and her mom got hurt. Cyrus says his connection is unfounded; he was in prison. He hopes the needless violence is a thing of the past, with Laura and the Commissioner at the helm. If anyone can keep the peace, they can.

Lucy says Valentin’s opinion is welcome, and Maxie asks, since when? Lucy says they couldn’t have relaunched Deception if Valentin hadn’t invested, but Maxie thinks that’s a stretch. Valentin says he doesn’t need gratitude; he needs collaboration. Maxie says she thought he was a silent partner, and he says he may not know about beauty and skincare, but he knows a good business move. The face of Deception needs a voice, and he’s found the perfect one. Lucy says, do tell, and he says he’s introducing Deception’s new voice. Brook comes in.

Carly asks if Sam is sure she’s okay with this, and she says she is, but when Jason told her, she was surprised. Carly imagines she must have been angry too, but Jason did it to spare her from being the one responsible, if the day came when he was unable to make his own decisions. He made it clear, he’d want to die, but didn’t want Sam to have to make that choice. Sam says she went home and did some thinking. She thought about the children, and what happened when she thought Jason died before. It would be worse for them to lose her. They love him, but she’s the parent they know and live with. They need their mom.

Jordan says she needs a word with Chase, but asks Jason to stick around. She takes Chase aside, and tells him that she’s doing him an enormous favor, before Jason’s barracuda of a lawyer barges in. Chase says they have reason to believe Cyrus was linked to the warehouse, and Jason blew it up in retaliation. She says there’s no evidence, and he’s becoming carelessly close to losing objectivity. She’ll take it from here. The last thing they want is a lawsuit. Chase leaves, and Jordan says she’d appreciate it if Jason didn’t unleash Diane; Chase was just doing his job. Jason says he knows. They’re on the same side on this, and he’d like to keep it that way.

Dante tells the doctor, he turned himself in because he can’t control his actions. When and if he picks up a weapon, who will be his target? It makes him dangerous. The doctor says Dante was traumatized by his indoctrination, and suffered a near-crippling physical injury. Dante says, the doctor read his file. The last time he had a visitor, he freaked out, and hurt a guard. It’s better to safeguard him in this facility. The doctor says it’s not the staff he’s worried about.

Cyrus tells Lulu to give her mother his regards. The hospital is fortunate to have her support. Lulu says, not just hers. The Quartermaines have supported GH for years to help it remain independent, and they’ll continue to support it. Cyrus says, that’s wonderful news. He wants to make sure the hospital is financially sound, and patients remain confident. That’s why he’s having a conversation with the board later. She says, he’s meeting with the board? and Cyrus says he’s sure they’ll find another use for his good intentions. Lulu thanks Brando, and leaves. Brando asks what’s the problem with Cyrus’s car? but Cyrus says his car is fine. He’s there to discuss another matter.

Valentin says Brook is going to write and perform a tune synonymous with the brand, and Maxie says, like a jingle? Valentin says, if she wants to call it that, and Maxie says she doesn’t like jingles. Brook says she doesn’t either, but Sasha says, it’s not a bad idea. Lucy says she would have preferred someone like Lady Gaga, but this is the next best thing. Maxie says ELQ is having nothing to do with the company.

Sam says, holding the family together is Carly’s top propriety, and the children. Carly says, it wasn’t always that way. When Michael was a baby, she never stayed out of anything, but as time went on, she saw that her kids needed to depend on her. She stands by Sonny, but only to a point. There’s nothing more important than being a mom. She can’t afford the luxury of being arrested or shot at; she’s working on the second one. The kids suffer when she’s not around, and she has to put them first. She had to take a step back against her instincts. Sam says, she wanted to go in swinging? and Carly says, when Donna was born, she knew this little baby was 100% dependent on her, and had every right to expect all her time and devotion. There was no option of running headfirst into danger. Sam says she wishes they’d had this conversation before she decided to go after Shiloh.

Jordan tells Jason that she threw her partners under the bus for Cyrus, but he says she did it for TJ. She says Cyrus’s sentence was vacated, and now, he not only operates with impunity, he has leverage; threatening her loved ones, and having knowledge of the crap she’s already done. She sees no way of getting out from under his thumb. Jason says, it will happen, and she asks, when? She doesn’t know how much more she can take. How much more damage she can stand by and let this man cause.

TJ tells Curtis that he wants no special treatment. If he can’t handle adversity, he’s not much of a doctor. Curtis says, if TJ burns out, he’ll be no good to anyone. He’s been there. TJ says he’s driven to be the best, passionate about his job, and loves helping people, and Curtis says, that’s how he was when he was a cop. He lived and breathed his job until it consumed him. He’s trying to prevent that happening to TJ.

Lucy tells Maxie not to be hasty, and Maxie says she’s not hasty. She doesn’t think it’s a smart business move. Brook says Maxie is predictable. Maxie knows it’s a smart decision because she’s a smart businesswoman. Having music synonymous with the brand makes sense. She’s just hesitating because of her BFF Lulu, who judges them from her lofty pedestal, since they’re not up to her standards. The simple fact is, Brook sees through Lulu, and Lulu can’t stand it. Maxie admits Lulu is less than perfect, but Lulu is still her friend. Brook says, that’s her choice, if she likes constant judgement, but don’t stand in the way of the rest of them. Maxie says Brook has one thing right – Lulu is her friend.

Sam tells Carly, she was focused on taking out Shiloh, and saving Kristina. Carly says, Kristina is her sister; her intention were admirable, but Sam says if she’s being honest, she was getting back to herself, if that makes sense. Carly says, who she was before she had kids? Sam says, she ran con after con then, and she wanted to do the things she did well. She got so caught up in it, she didn’t think about the consequences, and how she could make things worse for her kids.

Jason tells Jordan, the question she needs to ask is, what good it would do to fight back without leverage? She says, so they wait while the drugs pile up? Jason says, Cyrus can’t afford to break his truce with Sonny. He’s going to pretend to be an upstanding citizen while laying the groundwork to push Sonny out. As long as she plays along, she’ll have the option to bring Cyrus down.

Maxie says Valentin and Brook are acting righteous, and like Lulu is the problem, when Brook’s been flirting with Lulu’s boyfriend, using her old pet nickname for him. While they’re off collaborating, and bringing up the good old days, didn’t Brook think it would trigger Lulu after what she tried to do with Dante? Brook says, the husband Lulu dropped like a hot rock when he got sick? Lucy says Lulu has flaws; they all do. Maxie says, some more than others. She refuses to apologize for being considerate of her best friend. Lucy drags Maxie out into the hall, and Sasha says, that went well. Lucy asks Maxie, what on earth is wrong with her, reacting without thinking; why? Maxie says, Deception is her baby, and Lucy says, excuse me? Maxie says, yes, it was Lucy’s first, but Lucy brought her in and gave her a piece of the action. She’s never had that. She loved Crimson, but it wasn’t hers. She brought her talent and creativity, but the editor had the final say, and the publisher reaped the rewards. Deception is theirs about to be a reality, and she feels something momentous is going to happen. Lucy says she understands, but Maxie has to get ahold of herself or Deception will be over before it starts.

Sam tells Carly, the worst part was the kids missing her when she was in prison. Danny was trying to be brave, but underneath, he was scared, and Scout was just confused. She didn’t get why Sam was staying away. Carly says, thank God for Jason, and Sam says, it was a huge comfort. He was there for them, and the Quartermaines, and Carly. Carly says, it’s no substitute for a mother, and Sam says she was supposed to be there, but she wasn’t; she was on parole. It’s been frustrating, and a huge obstacle in her life, but not like she’s used to. She feels like she’s in quicksand. Carly understands, but since Sam brought it up, what happened with her parole officer?

Curtis tells TJ, not to be all Zen master, but life is about balance. You need to make a place for yourself and your loved ones first. If you don’t, they could slip away one dark night. You’ll look in the mirror, and your job is all you have. TJ says Curtis needs to have that conversation with his mom; she’s out of balance with work. Feel free to play the mom guilt card. Curtis asks, how? and TJ says he just called to check in. Jordan didn’t answer, but no call back and no text. Six months ago, that never would have happened, but it’s happening more and more lately. Curtis says he thinks he can use that – for Jordan’s own good. He thanks TJ for the ammo, and leaves.

Jordan says, so Jason is suggesting she go undercover as a corrupt Police Commissioner, which is true, but he wants her to use it to her advantage. Jason says, the more Cyrus thinks he has control, the more likely he is to make a mistake. Eventually, he’ll make one that gets him eliminated, but she won’t be involved. Jordan’s phone rings. It’s Cyrus, reminding her of her appointment to meet him at his new residence. Don’t be late. Jason asks if everything is okay, and Jordan says Cyrus wants her to meet him at his new home. Jason asks if she’s going, and she says he just made an excellent case as to why she has to. Jason says maybe he’ll take a ride out there, and she says, if he does, that would be his prerogative. She’s done her research, and has a good idea of how he came to work for Sonny. He survived an accident, and had cognitive issues. He was looking for a mentor, Sonny was there, and it worked well for him. Too bad. He’d make an excellent cop. Jason says he’ll try not be offended.

The doctor asks if Dante had the dream again, and Dante says he has it every night. Sometimes, he has it when he’s awake. He thinks about what he’s done to his wife – his ex-wife. He could hurt her, and if he stayed in Port Charles, she’d never stop thinking that one day he could recover, unless she faced what happened. The alternative is living there.

Lucy comes back with Maxie, and says, after a spirited conversation with her wonderful partner, she has something to tell them. Maxie says, fine. She’ll work with the two of them, but not while Brook has that smug smile and makes snarky comments about Lulu. Brook tells Maxie, she has nothing bad to say about Lulu; Lulu speaks for herself. Valentin asks if they’re back in business, and Maxie says, yes. Lucy welcomes Brook to the Deception family, and Brook says she’s super excited to be there. Lucy says, on that note, she’s going to skedaddle out of there. The Nurses Ball isn’t going to organize itself. Ta! Maxie follows her out, saying she wants a word with Lucy. Valentin tells Brook, they did it, and she says, they sure did. Does he want to have a celebratory drink? He says he’ll meet her upstairs. After she leaves, Valentin thanks Sasha for her support. Sasha says she didn’t say much, and he says she didn’t say no. How is she? She says she’s trying to throw herself into the life she has left, and he says, her work? He does that. Unfortunately, no amount of success will fill the void Nina left. Maybe she’ll have more luck.

Sam tells Carly that she was trying get leverage over her parole officer; something she could use to get Delores to back away. So Spinelli tailed her. They good news was, she was having an affair; the bad news was, she caught Spinelli getting blackmail photos. Delores told Spinelli if anyone found out about the affair, she’d throw him in jail. Now Delores hates her more than ever, and Delores controls her more than ever. She can’t believe she took that kind of risk. She says Carly can laugh if she wants, but Carly asks if anyone ever told Sam how she and Sonny got married the first time. Sam doesn’t think so, and Carly says she wanted to help Sonny, so she disguised herself, wore a wire, and went after an enemy of Sonny’s. Sonny busted in where she was, and wanted a meeting. She was the only material witness in a racketeering charge, and the only way to stop them calling her to testify… Sam says, was to marry him. Carly says, wives can’t be forced to testify against their husbands. She helped, but not in the way she thought she would. Sonny married her five times, so she must have done something right. The marriage was the best thing to happen to her. Sam says, some things work out for the best in ways they never anticipated.

Jason goes to the garage, and asks Brando if the stabilizer came in. Brando knows Jason wanted to put it in himself, and says he hopes he didn’t overstep, but he enjoys working on Harleys, and did the installation. Jason asks what he owes Brando, and Brando says, nothing. Jason already paid for the stabilizer, and the work is free. Jason says he won’t stay in business long that way, and Brando says, it’s a nice bike. He was glad to work on it. Jason says, you’re welcome. Brando says he had two visitors today. Lulu had a flat tire, and Cyrus showed up. He made a point to mention Lulu’s mother to her, and there was a weird vibe. Jason asks, who left first? and Brando says, Lulu. Jason says, if Cyrus comes back, he wants to know. Brando says, he will.

Curtis goes to the PCPD, and asks Chase if Jordan is back. Chase says, no. The last time he saw her she was at the courthouse, talking to Jason. He’d been questioning Jason about a case, and she stepped in. She asked Jason to wait, but he’s not sure what that was about. Curtis says he’ll track her down, and thanks Chase. Chase leaves, and Curtis takes out his phone.

Cyrus wanders around his new place. Jordan arrives, and he says, right on time; he’s pleased. Jordan says his guard frisked her, and he says, that’s the way of the world now. If only it was like when they first met, but then it wasn’t the way it seemed then either. She tells him to make it quick. He wants her help to get control of GH. He says he hasn’t told her how, and she says, he didn’t say why either. What does a man like him want with the hospital?

At the hospital, Maxie tells the reception nurse that she doesn’t have an appointment, but she’d like to see her OB/GYN. Lucy runs into Lulu, who says she’s there to interview some board members about  GH’s finances. Lucy says she hopes Lulu realizes what an amazing, loyal friend Maxie is. Lulu says, Maxie is the best, and Lucy says, Maxie nearly jeopardized the launch of Deception defending Lulu against some admittedly snarky remarks. Lulu says, by who? Don’t tell her. Brook said something about Dante. Lucy says, his name was brought up, and Lulu says, unbelievable. Brook is constantly throwing Dante in her face, when she knows nothing about the end of their marriage. Obviously, it gets to her more than she’d care to admit. Lucy says, if it helps, Maxie had her back, and Lulu says, it does help. Lucy says she didn’t know Dante all that well, but she can say with confidence, he’d want Lulu to be happy – whatever that means to her.

The doctor says he can help Dante get better, but he has to trust the process. Dante says he can’t risk it. He has a ticking time bomb in his head. The doctor has seen it go off, and Dante never wants anyone to see it again. This way, they’ll be safer. The doctor refuses to give up hope, and says Dante hasn’t given up on himself. Why else would he keep a pad and pencil. There must be someone he wishes to reach out to after all. Dante flashes back to Lulu telling him that she’ll wait forever; it’s no life without him there. He remembers saying goodbye, telling her that he loves her, and walking out. Dante says if the pencil and pad is causing the doctor to have false expectations, take it out of there. The doctor says he’s leaving it. He sincerely hopes Dante changes his mind before it’s too late.

Chase sees Sasha outside the courtroom. She says she was hoping to run into him. Has he heard anything? He says he hasn’t, and Sasha says imagine if they broke their hearts for nothing. Chase says, as crappy as it sounds, it helps on some level to know she’s as miserable as he is. They really did this for the right reason, but it’s easy to forget. Sasha agrees, and Chase says he knows Michael and Willow are the best parents for Wiley. Sasha says, if they found a way to prove it to the judge, it will have worked, so it will be worth it. I’m thinking, Sasha is high. She just has that vibe.

Curtis calls Jordan, but she doesn’t pick up.

Cyrus tells Jordan, he’s demonstrated that he’s a good person. Jordan says, he’s not; he’s a drug trafficker. He says the board will learn that he deserves grace, and the best insurance policy was a friend in law enforcement. That’s why they’re going to spend time together. Jordan tells him, he finally said it. He called because he can, and she showed up. He says she has a gift of seeing to the heart of the matter.

Brook and Valentin sit at a table in the MetroCourt. She says, if they’re going to work together, she needs to know one thing. Will he be as good for ELQ as he is for her? He says, even better.

Sam tells Carly that she doesn’t want to ever struggle with those questions. God forbid the worst happens, she doesn’t want to tell Danny she chose to let his dad die. Carly is glad Sam sees it that way, and Sam says she’s glad Jason chose Carly. Carly says, don’t worry, and Sam says, there’s nothing to worry about. Nothing is going to happen to Jason.

Jason lies on the road, unconscious, his bike laying next to him.

Tomorrow, Robert is sure he’ll find an empty grave, Carly wants Peter’s full attention, Sonny knows Mike is close to the end, and Cyrus tells Jordan to make sure something doesn’t happen.

🎤 Filling In…

For a while, Brook will be a different Brook. Who’s next? Carly? What’s Tamara Braun doing these days? Might as well make it totally confusing.

The Real Housewives of New York City

LuAnn says Leah can’t do this in front of other people, and Leah asks if LuAnn means lifting her skirt up so they could see her bodysuit. In Leah’s interview, she can’t believe anyone would think she’d purposely show her vagina to Ramona’s friends. It’s disgusting. She says, Ramona needs to keep my vagina out of her mouth. LuAnn wonders what Sonja’s drink tastes like, and takes a sip. She makes a face, and says she has no idea what it is, but it’s disgusting. Dorinda tells them that she got Sonja to bed. Now she’s going to see where Ramona is. LuAnn says, okay, Mama Dee.

Dorinda finds Ramona on an outside lounge chair, and asks if she’s okay. Ramona says, Sonja is a mess. Dorinda has been a mess. Dorinda says she hasn’t, but Ramona has, and she’s put Ramona to bed. Ramona tells her not to scream (she wasn’t). She can’t be around them anymore. She gets up, and tells Dorinda, drink some water. In Ramona’s interview, she says whenever Dorinda hears something she doesn’t like, she deflects. She’s full of sh*t. Ramona says Leah, Dorinda, and Sonja should go to AA. Dorinda says Ramona should be ashamed. She came to talk as a friend. She goes back to the table, and tells LuAnn and Leah that Ramona told her that she was drunk, when strangely, she’s not. She told Dorinda to go to AA. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, there’s a difference between being concerned, and telling someone to go to AA. It’s totally patronizing, and to say that to Dorinda is a low blow. Dorinda says Ramona also accused her of being drunk at the Halloween party. We flash back to that, and Dorinda tells them, you don’t say that to a friend. LuAnn says she’s been to AA, and she wouldn’t say that. She’s known Dorinda for twenty years, and would never say she’s a drunk. Dorinda says, not tonight. In her interview, LuAnn says she’s not touching that with a ten-foot pole. Ramona should know if you play with fire, you’ll get burned. Dorinda asks for another drink.

LuAnn finds Ramona, still lounging, and drinking water. Ramona says she’s the only one who’s straight, and LuAnn says she knows how Dorinda gets, and told her to go to AA. Ramona says she thinks Dorinda drinks too much. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, stop name calling. Tell Sonja that she has a problem, and Dorinda had to put her to bed. Back at the table, Dorinda starts to cry, and says Ramona hurt her feelings. Leah says, don’t let her; it’s not worth it. LuAnn tells Ramona, they’re serving tequila. Ramona says Dorinda has a problem, and doesn’t want to admit it, but Sonja has a problem too. And Leah. Ramona says she doesn’t want to drink anymore. LuAnn says Ramona claimed Leah was on medication, and she’s fine. Ramona says Leah had a problem before, and Dorinda plays holier than thou. Ramona admits she’s not perfect, but Dorinda is bitter and angry. LuAnn says they’ve seen it before, and Ramona says the two of them are normal in comparison to everyone there; it’s scary. In her interview, LuAnn says, normal is not a word that comes to mind when she thinks of Ramona. Ramona says she’s going to bed. At the table, Leah says she wants to enjoy the trip, and Dorinda says she’s afraid to be judged. Leah says Ramona crossed the line, saying she was on medication. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she wants to tell Leah not to pay attention, but at the same time she’d be pissed. LuAnn comes back, and asks, what’s happening? and Dorinda says her feelings are hurt. LuAnn says, it’s been a long day, and they can’t be trying to make it right. Leah asks, what happened? and Dorinda wonders if LuAnn asked Ramona about judging her on her drinking. LuAnn went to jail. Ramona doesn’t judge her, and LuAnn almost went back to jail again when she broke parole. In her interview, LuAnn says, it was literally fifteen minutes ago when Dorinda said you don’t shame a friend. It’s hypocritical. We flash back to Dorinda shaming LuAnn a few times, and LuAnn says, since she’s locked up with Dorinda, she’s going to make it nice. For the moment. Dorinda says Ramona accused her under false pretenses. She didn’t go to jail or break probation, and LuAnn tells her, this isn’t nice. Why is Dorinda getting angry at her? Don’t kill the messenger. In her interview, Dorinda says she can’t have a conversation with Ramona. She deflects, and it’s your fault; you’re the problem. She doesn’t need this bitch to tell her where she is on her journey. Dorinda says, Ramona is the one who comes home at 4 am, and LuAnn tells her, like her mother said, nothing good happens after midnight.

Leah uses a roller on her face, and calls her sister Sarah. Dorinda comes into Leah’s room, and Leah asks if Dorinda remembers what she said to LuAnn. Dorinda says LuAnn was the one who went to jail, so don’t be endorsing what Ramona said. Leah says LuAnn was just the messenger, and just telling her what Ramona said. Dorinda tells her, LuAnn has said it in the past. She wasn’t drunk then, and she wasn’t drunk last night. She only had three spritzers. That’s like when the defendant says they only had a couple of beers on People’s Court, and you know they had a whole case. In Leah’s interview, she says she was the most sober last night, and LuAnn said nothing like that. Dorinda can’t be wrong ever, but she’s wrong. Dorinda says she’s not letting this turn into something about her; it’s deflection. Ramona was saying she should go to AA. Leah says she doesn’t want to talk about AA on this trip. She actually went there.

Sonja tosses her shoes into a pile. Ramona comes in, saying, it’s a gorgeous day. Sonja says she went to take one of her water pills, and she googled it. It’s also called a drunken sailor pill. It dehydrates you, and if you drink, makes it worse. Ramona says she doesn’t care what medication someone is on. If you take alcohol with it, the medication makes it worse. In her interview, she wonders what Sonja was thinking, and tells Sonja that she doesn’t need them. In Sonja’s interview, she says, of course she was walking like a drunken sailor. It said the pill was a diarrhetic. Ramona says, at dinner, it got uncomfortable. She wants a one-on-one with Leah. Sonja says, Leah didn’t do anything, and Ramona says she needed to feel out her feelings. What?

LuAnn works out on a treadmill, while Leah does free weights. She asks Leah how it went, and Leah says she told Dorinda that LuAnn was just relaying what Ramona said. Ramona is deflecting from the real situation. LuAnn says it’s not about Ramona; it’s about her. Dorinda can be mad at Ramona, but don’t it take out on her. Leah says, it needs to be nipped in the bud. In LuAnn’s interview, she says she wants Dorinda to understand she’s hurt. It’s a sore subject, and she’s got to get to Dorinda at the right time, in the right place. When she’s not drinking. They talk about their upcoming camel ride. In LuAnn’s  She hasn’t been on a camel since the hiccup in Marrakech. She’s scared, but she’s getting back on that hump. Leah doesn’t want to be in the sun LuAnn sees Ramona and Sonja in the kitchen, and Ramona says, it’s a new day; it’s like nothing happened. The chef is making omelets, and LuAnn says, they’re in Mexico, and have to have huevos rancheros. LuAnn tells Ramona let thing with Leah go; there’s another issue with Dorinda. After Ramona left, Dorinda called LuAnn out, saying she’s the one who went to jail, and tried to make her ashamed of herself, like she didn’t suffer enough. She doesn’t think Dorinda remembers. She knows it’s not about her, but it’s still hurtful. Ramona says, it’s an anger management problem, and in her interview, she says, Dorinda doesn’t realize how much she’s hurting her friends. We flash back to Dorinda’s nastier moments. Ramona says, when Dorinda drinks, her anger accelerates; anger plus drinking equals a really mean Dorinda.

Leah joins them, and Ramona eyeballs her. She sidles over, and says when Leah’s ready, she’d love to have a conversation. Leah suggests they do it now, and they go outside to sit. In Ramona’s interview, she says she’s not going to change Leah, and doesn’t want to harbor anger. It’s time they moved on. Ramona says she thinks she holds Leah to a higher bar. She believes in Leah as a person, and sees she has potential. There’s a side she adores, but one there’s one she doesn’t. She talked to Leah about the party, and had asked her to put her 30 year old self away, and be more demure, so she was hurt and disappointed. Those are her feelings. Leah says, feelings aren’t facts. She wants to know what she did. Ramona must have been angry to talk about mental health issues. Ramona apologizes (yawn), saying she’s sorry she made Leah uncomfortable, and that she let her feelings and expectations color things. Leah suggests they go forward, and says when it comes to the perception of Ramona’s friends, who gives a sh*t? Ramona says she let her own head get in the way. In Leah’s interview, she says Ramona knows she’s wrong deep down, and won’t admit it, but she’s not wasting her energy and time dragging it out of her. She’s letting it go. Leah says, let’s eat, have fun, and enjoy the day. Ramona admits she made a mountain out of a molehill.

Ramona says, it’s a new day; they should all celebrate. Dorinda says, she doesn’t care about last night. She wants to put it behind her and have fun. Sonja threw out pill explains that her water pills are also called drunken syndrome sailor because they exacerbate the effects of drinking. In her interview, Dorinda says she just wants Sonja to be happy, and have no more of these episodes. It worries her. Leah says they’re doing a reset, and LuAnn is thrilled with her attitude. In her interview, LuAnn says Dorinda can try to sweep things under the rug, but they’re still there. They’re not under the rug .Leah goes to take a shower. LuAnn asks if they’re wearing bathing suits under their clothes for the camel ride. Dorinda says they have a cabana on the beach for afterward. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, today is about Mexico, not about what happened yesterday. She doesn’t care. LuAnn tells Dorinda that she talked to Ramona, and Dorinda says she’s over it. LuAnn says, Ramona should let it go, and Dorinda says Ramona listens to LuAnn. Leah is a nice girl. They’re all different, and that’s what makes it good.

They get in limo, and Sonja says her stomach is sloshing. Ramona is worried that Sonja has gas, but Sonja says, it’s a different thing. Dorinda is excited about tonight. She heard the food at the restaurant is delish. It’s a nice place, and they can dress up. Ramona says, they can be festive. In Dorinda’s interview, she says Sonja doesn’t realize, they’re not going on a local outing. They’re celebrating Sonja’s birthday. Drinking, dancing, and laughter; she deserves it. The limo stops at Moroma Beach, and they get out. In her interview, Leah says she’s had a camel ride before, and didn’t feel the need to do it again, but since the others want to, let’s do it. LuAnn says she’s having flashbacks, and we see a flashback of LuAnn being bounced around by a camel. Dorinda wants the one that’s lying down. Leah says she has a camel toe right now, and it’s killing her. Dorinda tells the guide, it’s not Leah’s first time, and asks if they have to date them a little first. When Sonja sees Ramona’s shorts, she tells Ramona, no more macramé. They get on the camels, and the guide tells them to hold on and lean back. Leah says, Dorinda is a natural, and Dorinda says she’s ridden a camel or two in her day. In Dorinda’s interview, she says this is nothing compared to the beasts she’s ridden. She even married a few. Ramona refuses to ride. After she saw LuAnn in Morocco, she said never again. Ramona takes pictures, and Sonja says, she doesn’t want the feisty one. In Sonja’s interview, she says, she and camels just don’t go together. She’s getting on a camel that doesn’t seem to want to know her. Sonja calls for someone to take her down. She’s sweating, nervous, and going to fall. Leah warns her that the camel senses her energy. Dorinda is proud of LuAnn for getting back on the hump. LuAnn says, it feels good.

Sonja screams she’s getting off. Dorinda is happy, and likes it. Leah says, time to get off, and jumps down. Even though these are very tall camels, and at least six feet. She says she’s not screwing around. LuAnn says they’ve lost a couple. In her interview, Leah says she thought camel riding was something you do in Dubai, not Mexico. Never again. Ramona, Sonja, and Leah head for the beach. Leah says she’s all about getting out of situations; she’s not waiting for help. Dorinda is camel proud, and says Ramona is being snobbish. Sonja tells Ramona, they got ones the others didn’t want to be on. In LuAnn’s interview, she says she got back the on hump, and lived to tell the story. She fist bumps the camera. Dorinda suggests they go to the cabana.

The cabana is beautiful; sort of like a round wooden birdcage. Inside, there’s an exquisitely set table waiting for them. Sonja says the camels are behind her. Look at the gorgeous table, flowers, and view. That’s what she’s here for. She says LuAnn looks like a Bond girl, and she does. They have lunch, and the salad is served in bottles that have been halved. LuAnn wants to talk to Dorinda, and in her interview, she says the camel ride was a good bonding experience for her and Dorinda. It’s a good moment for them to talk. She’s nervous, but needs to do it, and Dorinda is open to it. LuAnn says she doesn’t know if Dorinda remembers what she said last night. You can see by Dorinda’s body language that she’s immediately defensive, and she tells LuAnn, stop. She had three spritzers. Honestly, I always wonder if these women know they’re being recorded. She might have had three spritzers, but that was in addition to tequila and God knows what else. They’re not talking about her drinking. LuAnn says Dorinda brought it up. Ramona is still upset about Halloween. Dorinda says LuAnn made a comment that she’d gotten drunk in the past. Come on now. Is she saying she’s never been drunk? Again, does she know we’re watching her life on TV? In LuAnn’s interview, she says, that never happened. Dorinda is making sh*t up to make herself feel better, and putting it on her. She tells Dorinda that she didn’t bring up drinking. Dorinda asked her, what happened? she told Dorinda what Ramona said, and Dorinda attacked her. Dorinda says, that’s LuAnn’s truth. See? That’s exactly why I don’t like that your/my truth business. While it can be colored by perspective, there’s the truth, and there isn’t. LuAnn tells Dorinda that what she said was hurtful. Dorinda says, don’t talk about her drinking. LuAnn went to jail, and said it could happen to anybody. Is Dorinda drunk now? Because she’s not making any sense. LuAnn says, then why does Dorinda keep throwing it in her face? They agree not talk about each other’s drinking. Dorinda says she always supports LuAnn, and LuAnn says she supports Dorinda too. She doesn’t want to keep thinking about going to jail. She’s suffered enough. In her interview, LuAnn say she just wants Dorinda to give her a little something, but she won’t budge. It’s hard to have a relationship with someone like that. LuAnn asks if the women want to skedaddle, and that’s the second time I’ve heard that word today.

LuAnn and Ramona check out a bunch of dudes playing a volleyball game. LuAnn wants to play, but Ramona says she’ll just watch. LuAnn says she’s good at volleyball, and then proceeds to stink. When she hits the net the second time the ball bounces back and hits her, knocking her down. Everyone laughs. She finally gets one over the net, and Ramona says she got him flustered. LuAnn says, it’s the bikini.

The women go back to Vila casa del mar, and get dressed for dinner. Leah shows everyone the pictures she took. Dorinda is excited, saying Sonja usually stays in the background, but tonight she’s going to be recognized, and know that they see her and love her. When they get to the restaurant, Dorinda tells Sonja, if she thought today was fun, it’s her birthday! In her interview, Sonja says she’s blown away. Being with the girls means more than a big party. They dance around, and Sonja says it comes from the heart and she’s feeling it. A guy comes out balancing a bottle of tequila on his head, while carrying a tray of shots. In LuAnn’s interview, she says she’s been served tequila in some strange places, but never off a man’s head. She dances with him, and he comes up to about boob height on her. Sonja says, LuAnn is going to swoop him up like King Kong, and take him home.

Dorinda announces, it’s a special night for a special girl. They love Sonja, and 2020 is going to be her year. Ha! That’s what we all thought. They toast to happiness and freedom. In Sonja’s interview, she says it’s nice of Dorinda to plan this. She doesn’t need 50 girlfriends. Ramona, take notes for next year. Leah says LuAnn’s dancing partner is the size of a puppy. He takes their orders, and brings back a stack of Margaritas on his head. Leah wonders how they get them off, and he squats down so they can take them one at a time. LuAnn says she’s never had a Margarita off a man’s head, and Dorinda asks if she’s sure about that. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, these women have been all over the world, but this restaurant holds joy. Sonja is smiling ear to ear, and this is what life’s about. Leah says a guy at the bar is giving her Pablo Escobar vibes, and Dorinda tells her not to assume he’s a criminal. Ramona and Leah discuss online dating. Ramona says she tried it a year ago, but it didn’t work. Dorinda says, it shouldn’t be so complicated, and Leah says she’s the same way. She and Ramona shake hands. Leah says they can’t meet their equals; they’re too unique and different. Ramona says they all have emotional insecurities. Leah wonders how Ramona could have forgiven Mario, and Ramona says she thought of her daughter, and realized the worst thing would be to harbor hate. Leah says Ramona loved her daughter more than herself, and knew it was the best thing. It’s still hard, and a lot of people can’t do it. In Leah’s interview, she says, a lot of women who’ve been cheated on, never want to look at the guy again, and rightly so. She says she respects Ramona. She was willing to forgive Mario for the betterment of the family. Ramona wonders what’s next for her; she doesn’t know. Leah says it’s an exciting time for Ramona. She has all the money she needs, and can do what she wants. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, everybody thought the guy with the five drinks on his head was the highlight of the evening, but just wait. She and Dorinda slip off to the bathroom. Leah tells Ramona, there’s something powerful about being a mother. Ramona says she’s always been a caregiver. Sonja says, she’s not. LuAnn comes out, wearing a jacket that lights up, and a sombrero. She says Sonjarita is her friend, and sings Happy Birthday. Dorinda comes out wearing a fake big boob top and a gold turban, bearing a cake with sparklers. Sonja motorboats Dorinda’s shirt, and a mariachi band plays.

Sonja says she’s loving it. Leah thinks the waiter is an amazing man. He might be only three feet tall, but has the aura of someone six foot seven. Leah tells Sonja, happy birthday, and talks about Sonja’s tight p*ssy. Ramona tells Leah, that she doesn’t want to talk about body parts; she wants to get along. Leah promises to only talk about her perfect p*ssy. Ramona gets up, and Leah follows her. In Ramona’s interview, she says, this is the Leah she doesn’t enjoy, but she can walk away, and it will diffuse. At her birthday, there were 70 women, and she couldn’t ignore it. Ramona tells Leah, don’t talk body parts, and Leah says, stop it right now. Ramona says she’s a good Catholic girl, and she doesn’t talk about that. Then a spaceship comes down to get her. It might as well, since she’s on another planet. Leah tells Ramona, she can try and hide, but her turtle times are liked. In Leah’s interview, she says, Ramona isn’t some delicate virgin flower. When she wants to talk about sex, she does. We flash back to several times where Ramona did talk about that, and Leah says, but if she talks about anything related to sex, she’s treated like a serial killer. Leah goes back to the table, and says, she understands she embarrassed everyone. LuAnn asks what Ramona said, and Leah tells her, Ramona claims to be a prude. Dorinda says, that’s bullsh*t. Leah says once again, she’s held to a different standard. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she’s not supporting Ramona, but she does think Leah is poking the bear.

Ramona comes back, kisses the top of Leah’s head, says she loves her, and they’ll talk tomorrow. Dorinda says she’s proud of Ramona. In Ramona’s interview, she says she thinks Leah looks to her for approval, and wants to test boundaries. So she gave her a kiss to disarm her. LuAnn says that a dish is spicy, and Leah says, she likes spicy… d*ck. LuAnn says, she can’t help herself, and Ramona says, God help her.

Next time, LuAnn finds a guy, Dorinda isn’t well, more sparklers, LuAnn tries to hook up Sonja, the women attend some kind of ritual, and Ramona and LuAnn discuss Dorinda’s drinking, then confront her. I’m sure that will go well.

💿 For the Record…

On Watch What Happens Live, LuAnn was the sole (remote) guest, and the 200th episode of RHONY was celebrated. Various people from days gone by made appearances, and one of them was Tomas, the pirate LuAnn may or may not have slept with. According to Tomas, they did not sleep together. I’m not sure if he was just being a gentleman, but case closed.

🧗‍♀️ Almost Made It…

After two days of the power going in and out, we lost it altogether tonight. Somehow, I was still able to get this post together, but tea time will have to wait until tomorrow. To top it off, WordPress has introduced a new editor that I haven’t had time to investigate fully. As far as I can tell, only links are done differently, but I’m so sleep-deprived, I could be hallucinating. Don’t let this happen to you, and stay safe, stay fit, and stay getting enough sleep.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nina wonders why Curtis seems awkward. He insists he’s not, but she says, he is, and asks what’s up? Valentin gives Nina his condolences on her mother being denied parole. She says that’s a cause for celebration. Curtis says, she’s still Nina’s mother. Nina says, no. She’s the woman who put her in a coma for twenty years, and is the reason she can’t have children.

Felicia says she doesn’t know anyone named Ryan, and the woman tells her that his name is Todd Wilson. Felicia wonders why anyone would be interested in the story now. The birth mother didn’t commit to backing off, but she didn’t refuse. Brad asks what she said, and Julian says, not much; he did most of the talking. Ryan struggles with the jacket, and Doc walks in. He says he hears Ryan has been busy today, and it’s not even 10 am. Ryan says, nice to see you too, Kevin.

Maxie tells Felicia that she doesn’t need to relive it, but Felicia says it’s good for her to talk about it – in private. Ryan destroyed a lot of lives, but at least she can take comfort in the fact that he didn’t destroy hers. She and Mac became closer, and she made a friend who became family – Kevin. Maxie wonders how she could become friends with Kevin. Felicia says she could see he wasn’t like his brother. He’s a healer, and doesn’t believe in lost causes.

Ryan says he hasn’t seen Doc since their birthday. Doc says he had an interesting conversation with the orderly. Ryan is claiming to be him again. Ryan says he can’t blame a twin for trying. Despite everything Ryan has done, Doc believes he can be redeemed.

Diane tells Nina they have a minor snag, and have to redraw the divorce papers. Valentin’s lawyer added two stipulations. He wants her to have ownership of Lumiere and visitation with Charlotte. She assumes that’s no problem, but Nina says it’s a big problem.

Kim asks Michael how he’s doing. She says Oscar told her that Josslyn made a beautiful speech at Jonah’s funeral. He says it’s crazy how someone so young knows all the right words. Kim says she’s wise beyond her years, and Michael adds, since birth. Kim wanted to talk to him. There’s something he should know. She heard from Nelle.

Julian tells Brad that he went to great pains to assure the birth mother that he and Lucas didn’t know about him calling. Brad says she’d have to be a walking disaster not get her son back; is she? Julian says she didn’t sound like it. Brad says, so it’s done. She’s going to take Wiley away, and when she discovers he’s not hers, he’ll go to prison, and drag Lucas down with him. Julian says that’s not happening. Brad says, there’s only one option left. Take Wiley and run.

Curtis returns, and Valentin tells him that was fast. Curtis says he’s good at what he does. There was a reason he had a hard time finding Carter Buckley; he’s behind bars. Valentin wonders if it’s for adoption fraud, and Curtis says the details were sketchy, but he has another issue. He thinks they need to bring in Nina. Valentin says if the baby isn’t alive, she’ll be crushed, and she’s been hurt enough. Curtis doesn’t like it. Valentin says if it goes anywhere, she’ll be the first to know. Until then, it’s between them. They shake hands, and Nina sees them.

Oscar tells Jason that Josslyn is obviously going through a lot. He wants to be there for her, but when he tries, it pisses her off. She thinks he’s telling her how to be or act. She’s amazing; she kills everything and she’s a total bad ass. She beat up Nelle. Maybe she has more in common with other guys. Jason says, maybe, but she didn’t choose them. She chose him.

Lulu says it’s admirable for Doc to think he could cure his brother. Maxie says, and shortsighted. He escaped, went after her mom, and kidnapped Georgie. We flash back to Ryan holding baby Georgie on a carousel. Felicia says he’s beyond redeeming, and Doc learned the hardest way. Maxie says, watching his own brother die.

Ryan laughs, and says after all these years, Doc is still trying to save him. Who says he needs saving? He likes who he is. We flash back to the fun house blowing up with Ryan in it. Doc says he hurt women. His demons consumed him because of the abuse he experienced as a child. He’s worked with patients who have suffered the same thing, and knows firsthand they can be healed. You dress the wound, call it by name, break it down, and it can heal. Ryan asks if Doc thinks his homicidal tendencies were just a phase. Doc assumes he can or wants to be healed. Why should he cooperate with him. and give up his cushy life in there for one behind bars?

Kim tells Michael that Nelle wanted her to testify that her hormones were the reason she committed the crimes. Michael says, she just doesn’t stop. Kim says she refused. She can’t testify to anything that’s not medically accurate. Nelle asked about him too. He appreciates her telling him, but if it happens again, he doesn’t need to know. Nelle will work anyone who gives her an opening. If she thinks she sees good in Nelle that no one else can see, it’s the opening she needs.

Carly tells Sonny that she liked the second facility. It was easy to maneuver, and had great visiting hours. Sonny doesn’t know what to think. He knows Mike will have to live in a place like that eventually, but is the time now? He’s just starting to get to know him, and they’re having good times. It’s getting to be less often, but it’s happening. Why give that up? But then he worries about what happened yesterday. Is it safe or too dangerous, especially for Avery and Josslyn. They need a safe, stable place, and he doesn’t want his dad living there to take that away from them. Carly says whatever he decides, she’s with him. He says he had a hard time pulling it together while she was gone. She kisses his forehead, and says she’s right there. Let her help him.

Sonny says for long time, he had anger toward his dad; like a weight he was carrying. Carly says it seems like he doesn’t have it anymore. He says since Mike has been sick, the pressure is gone. He sees the good in Mike, and accepts him for who he is. He’s slipping away, and Sonny knows that. Carly says, he’s not gone yet. Sonny says when you’re a kid, you think time is unlimited, and you can hate someone forever. You can’t turn back time; it runs out. He’s terrified to waste any time left.

Oscar tells Jason, sorry for opening a vein. Jason says there’s nothing apologize for. Carly and Josslyn are alike, and his advice is that Oscar has to feel her out; really hear her. If she asks for advice, tell the truth, but if she doesn’t, don’t offer it. Oscar thanks him. He says they’re meeting in park. He has to leave now, or he’ll miss the bus. Jason says Felix is there, so he can give Oscar a ride; he’s got his bike. Oscar says, just don’t tell his mom.

Kim tells Michael that the hospital has a great program for grieving parents; a weekly support group. He says Stella already told him, but he hasn’t been there. Alexis asks for a word with Julian. Julian tells Brad, it’s not over yet; just remember that. Lucas asks what Brad and his father are hiding. In the hallway, Alexis asks Julian if he’s intentionally sabotaging the case. He needs to leave before he does damage he can’t undo.

Doc wants to help Ryan. That’s why he’s hiding him, and trying to work with him. Ryan asks if he’s succeeded, but Doc has no way to determine if his sanity has been restored. Ryan says the only way to test the theory that his murderous tendencies have been contained, is let him back out in the world.

Felicia tells Maxie to rest assured Ryan is dead. Maxie asks if it happened before her eyes, and Felicia says, yes. Every once in a while, she still gets nightmares.

Nina doesn’t know what fresh hell this is. She has a bone to pick with Valentin, and Curtis says this is his cue, and disappears. Nina asks if Valentin is Curtis’s client. Nina says Diane told her about the stipulations to the divorce agreement. Valentin thought she’d be pleased, but she isn’t. They reminded her of the reasons she fell in love with him. She won’t get sucked in again. She knows it’s irrational, and she’s just projecting losing her own child on what he did to Peter, but what she’s thinking is how she feels.

Valentin tells Nina that he can’t change what happened. She says she doesn’t like this between them, but she can’t get over it; she knows herself. Nina gets a call. She says, that’s impossible. She just saw her. She thanks them, and tells Valentin that her mother is dead. Valentin holds her.

Lucas tells Brad that he thought about running too. He gets it, but what kind of a life would it be for Wiley – for them? He knows they can’t run. They’ll just say their piece when the time comes, and make it as easy as possible for their little boy. Julian tells Alexis that he wants be there for his son. Alexis says the best way to do that is to leave before Diane and the birth mother see him. Brad pops out, and says the judge is on his way. Julian asks Alexis to keep him updated. She says she’ll do her best, but it’s up to Brad and Lucas. She tells him to go now.

Lucas asks Alexis if everything is okay, and she says, great. Diane comes in alone, and Alexis tells her the hearing is about to start. Where is her client?

Felicia decides to take James to see the ducks. She needs to clear her head, and focus on the good in her life. She leaves, and Lulu says, she’s so strong. She hates that she can’t kill the feature. The Invader isn’t the only media outlet that’s interested either. It’s just a matter of time before Ryan’s memory is dragged out of the shadows.

Doc tells Ryan he can’t agree to release him. He hounded Felicia for years. Ryan asks what’s in it for him then? Doc says, closure. Ryan tells him that he’s wasting his time. Doc says, maybe, but that doesn’t mean he’ll stop trying. He starts to leave, and Ryan asks him to say hello to Felicia. A message from Laura distracts Doc, and Ryan slips out of his straitjacket. He knocks Doc out.

Michael looks at the sign for the bereavement group. He stands outside for a moment, then walks away.

Carly tells Sonny that as much as she loves Mike, he’s not her dad; he’s Sonny’s dad. That’s why he has to make the decision. If for some reason, he thinks he can’t or his judgement is compromised, he should ask Jason. He’s logical and practical. Sonny says, but whatever happens is on him.

Jason tells Oscar remember to grab on and don’t let go, and gives him a helmet. Oscar says, got it. Jason asks, where in the park? Oscar seems dizzy, and sits down. Jason asks if he’s okay, and runs over to him. Oscar is having a seizure.

He says he didn’t think so, and she asks him, why not? He says Hanna raised her, but Candace says Hanna didn’t raise her. She’s been on her own since she was seventeen. He says thy share DNA, and Candace says, unfortunately. He tells he that he’s never met a weak Black woman, but she says, we can all be weak. He says, she’s not, and she says, nope. RJ says she’s also mad as hell. He can tell when he looks at her. Something or somebody is really getting under her skin. She tells him to save the analyzing for johns and tricks. She used to do that; study people. She learned their weaknesses and behaviors, and got good scores that way. She tells him to keep doing it, and he’ll almost be good one day. She wonders what Malik is doing. RJ says, probably robbing Hanna. Don’t be surprised if he does. Candace calls Malik a bastard, and says he’s not following her direction.

Malik asks if Hanna has money, and she says, no. He asks again, and he says Candace owes him. Hanna doesn’t know about that. She has nothing to do with none of it. He tells her to listen to him. Candace told him she was coming here to get money. Hanna says, she lied. She said Hanna had her money. Hanna swears she doesn’t, and he tells her sit up. He’s wearing a ski mask, and it’s hard to hear what he’s saying. He says they’ll look through the house until they find it, and he pulls her out of the kitchen.

RJ tells Candace that she’s so full of rage, she doesn’t even see it. She tells him to stop, and wonders what’s going on in Hanna’s house. Her phone rings, and she says, dammit! It’s her brother. She doesn’t think it would be smart to call him back. She calls Gia, and says her brother is at the hotel. He’s at her room door, and she wants Gia to stop him from leaving. Gia doesn’t know if she can, but Candace tells her that she has no choice.

Jeffrey goes to David’s house, and jumps out of his car. There’s crime scene tape across the front yard, and police are all over the place. He explains who he is, and asks where his dad is. A detective tells him, at the hospital, but doesn’t know his status. Jeffrey says he has to see him. The detective says, hold on, and tells an officer to call the hospital. He asks Jeffrey if he knows anyone who would want to do this, and Jeffrey says, his mother – Veronica Harrington. He gives the detective her address, and asks, what happened? He says there were explosives in the car. Jeffrey asks if that’s a body, and who is that? The detective says they’re trying to figure it out. All they know is it’s a female. Jeffrey says David was dating someone, but he doesn’t know her name. The officer tells them David is in St. Cloud’s Hospital, and he’s in stable condition. Jeffrey says if they need to talk to him, that’s where he’ll be. He jets.

It’s rowdy and loud in the jail. So loud, I laugh. Justin walks down the row of cells, and sees Wyatt. He says he’s got the stuff, but he can’t give it to him right now; there’s too much going on. Wyatt says he needs it, and Justin asks if Wyatt is trying to get him fired; not here. Wyatt says, please, and Justin likes the way he says it, but he can’t now. He tells Wyatt to wait until shift change; in about an hour. He doesn’t have a choice. Wyatt says if Justin doesn’t give it to him now, he’ll tell them that Justin has it. That’s a ballsy, but very bad move. Justin says then Wyatt won’t get it. He doesn’t like being threatened. Wyatt apologizes, and Justin says it’s not like the stuff he gets on the street. He found it in evidence, and it’s super strong; made of heroin. He says this sh*t will kill Wyatt, and Wyatt says he won’t take as much. Justin tells him, at shift change. He walks back toward the station, and everyone gets loud again.

Jim tells the desk sergeant that he needs to see his son right now. They just got clearance, and Jim goes into the back. I guess they only make a load of noise for Justin because they’re quiet now. Wyatt asks what Jim wants, and Jim tells him, cut the hostility. Wyatt says it’s all he’s got. Jim asks how he’s feeling, and Wyatt says, not good. Wyatt says he’s sick, and no one is listening. Jim says he’s not sick; he has a choice. Wyatt doesn’t want to talk to him, Jim asks if he wants to stay there the rest of his life. Wyatt says the DA will take the offer off the table if he doesn’t testify against them in the Jennifer Saunders case. Jim asks what he told George, and Wyatt says, nothing. Not until he gets help for his medical condition. He says Jim is trying to kill him, and Jim says he’s trying to save his miserable ass. Wyatt accuses Jim of putting him in there, and Jim tells him to talk to his mother. He tells Wyatt, just chill, and he’s going to do everything he can to get him out. He’ll be back. Wyatt says, whatever.

An officer asks Justin if he’s seen the report on the Harrington house. Justin says, mother or father? and the officer says, father. Justin asks who’s on it, and the officer says, the FBI. They can’t get near it. There was one casualty, and the dad is in the hospital.

David has burns all over his back, and looks so sore. The nurse says they’ll give him something to help him sleep. His blood pressure is at stroke level. He asks how Erica is, and she says, it won’t take long. He needs to know, and she says he needs to relax. He asks where the doctor is, and she tells him that he’ll be there in the morning. Try to stay relaxed.

Jeffrey arrives at the hospital, and the orderly shows him to David’s room. He asks how his father is, and the orderly says, his blood pressure is high. He tells Jeffrey not to tell David about Erica. She was on the driver’s side, and didn’t make it. Jeffrey goes into David’s room. The orderly tells him that David is out of it. Don’t touch him; the burns could get infected. Jeffrey asks if he’ll be okay, and the orderly says, he’s stable. He leaves, and Jeffrey asks if David can hear him. David asks how he is, and Jeffrey says he should be asking that. David says he’s still here. Jeffrey says, mom did this. David agrees, and Jeffrey says he’s sorry. David says he’s been thinking about Jeffrey; he’s worried about him. Jeffrey says, don’t, and David asks if Jeffrey is still with that boy. He says don’t do like he did. He stayed with Jeffrey’s mother. He saw her hurting other people, and stood by her. He says, if they hurt other people, sooner or later, they’ll hurt you. He tells Jeffrey, that boy is trouble; get away from trouble. Jeffrey says he will. David needs Jeffrey to promise, and he does.

David says he needs a favor. He wants Jeffrey to find out about Erica, the lady staying with him. He asks Jeffrey to find out how she is; they won’t tell him anything. Jeffrey says he’ll find out. Justin looks through the door window. Is the hospital attached to the station?

Jeffrey comes out, and Justin says he’s sorry. Jeffrey pushes him, and tells him to back up. Justin ask if Jeffrey is okay, and Jeffrey says, what does he think? His mother did this. Justin asks if he can prove it. Jeffrey says he knows her. Justin says, bitch. He wishes it had worked in the car when she flipped. Jeffrey asks what he’s talking about, and Justin says it was him. He hit her with his truck. He was trying to help Jeffrey. Jeffrey says she’s still his mother, like he wouldn’t jump for joy if she died. Justin says he’ll look into what she did to his dad. Jeffrey says Justin thinks he’s helping by hurting her. Justin says he wasn’t trying to kill her; he just wanted her to get the message. Jeffrey says he needs to leave. Justin wants to be there for him, but Jeffrey tells him, just leave. Give him this time with his dad.

Jeffrey sees Jim at the hospital. Jim asks if he’s okay, and Jeffrey says, not really. Jim hugs him, and asks what happened. Jeffrey says, the car blew up, and takes him into David’s room. Jim says, damn, and Jeffrey tells him they said he’s going to be okay. They just don’t want him to know about the young lady. Jim understands. He asks if David can hear them, but Jeffrey says he’s completely out of it. Jim asks if he can ID who did this, and Jeffrey says it was his mother. He asks if she’ll go to jail, and Jim says he knows her. He promises David he’ll get even. David has his word. He tells Jeffrey that he’ll be back in the morning. He says to make sure there’s a guard. Jeffrey says he’ll be there, but Jim says, no. a guard. He wants one there all night. Jeffrey tells him the FBI is looking into it. Jim says that’s because it was a bombing. On the bright side, with the FBI involved, maybe she won’t get away with it.

Veronica drinks while wearing her gorgeous funeral/cocktail dress.

Candance tells RJ that she’s going in there. RJ doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Veronica calls RJ. Candace asks what she wants, and he says he has this. Candace says he should leave Veronica alone. He answers, and Veronica wants to see him at her house. He says he’s in the middle of something, and she says, drop it, and be there in an hour. If he can’t, he might not come back again at all. She says, an hour, and ends the call. He says, wow, and Candace says, leave that lady alone. He says he has it under control. Candace tells him don’t say she didn’t warn him.

Veronica’s doorbell rings. It’s the FBI. She checks their ID, and lets them in. I don’t catch their names, but one guy does the talking, and the other keeps looking around. The talker says he’s like to talk to her about her husband. She says she doesn’t have one. He says, David Harrington, and she says that would be her ex-husband. What about him? He says David was in an accident. Doesn’t she want to know if he’s okay. Veronica says she was in accident, and David didn’t check on her. He says, so there’s bad blood, and she says she can’t stand the bastard. He asks if she knows anyone who would want do him harm. She says she was run off the road by a mad man in a truck. He asks if it was her husband, and she says, no, a mad man in a truck. She makes herself a drink, and says they keep looking at her house. Look at her. She’s beautiful, and very horny. Talker asks if they can talk about her husband. Does she know anyone who would want to harm him? Veronica says her – and about five hundred other suspects. He’s a judge, and put away a lot of people. She’s been at home. There are cameras all around. He asks if they can have access, and she says, not without a warrant. He says they’ll get one. She says they won’t find anything. She loathes David, but would never do anything to him. He says David was in a car that exploded, and she’s like, whaaat? Did he die? He says, no, and she says then he lives to have whoever tried to kill him, try again. If they went through that much trouble, they’ll want to finish the job. They think she did it, but they can’t trick her out. She’s a seasoned attorney. She says, what they’re doing, is leaving. Talker says they’re not done, and Veronica says she is. If they don’t want a drink or to take care of her need, they can leave. He asks if she knows an Erica. She was in the explosion. Veronica says she’s sorry, and laughs, saying she’s probably one of his whores. This night keeps getting better and better. She walks Talker to the door, taking his arm. She tells him to come back when he’s off duty. Leave his friend behind next time.

Kathryn washes dishes while she’s listening to the news. Charles is the new President. They’re waiting for an acceptance speech. Jim comes in, and Kathryn tells him that they have new President. He says they need to talk about Wyatt. She asks if his candidate lost. Why is he in a huff? He says the new DA is all over Wyatt. If he testifies, it will be another nail in her coffin. She says, theirs. They have plots next to each other. Jim says he didn’t shoot Jennifer, and she says, neither did she; Veronica did. He tells her that ship sailed long ago. They need to get their son out. She says, it’s time for him to pay for what he did. Jim says he no longer has favors he can call in. She has to call in some to get Wyatt out. Kathryn says, no, and he asks if she’s insane. She says it’s time for Wyatt to start paying for his crimes. If he gets hurt there, he’ll learn to deal. Jim says he’ll remember she said that when it’s her ass in jail. She says he’ll be in the men’s section in the next block. She says Wyatt will get an attorney and go through the system, like everyone else. He asks if she’s lost her mind. She tells him to call Veronica. He says, after what she’s done? Kathryn says, she’s the best. Jim says Veronica had David and his new girlfriend blown up. Kathryn asks if they’re all right, and Jim says, yes. They’re fine. It happens every day. He says, David is critical, and the girl didn’t make it. Kathryn says she hates that bitch so much – she always comes up with the best ideas. She should have come up with that with him. Jim says it’s a serious matter; she needs her to make a call. She says she won’t do it, and walks out. He says he’s talking about her son.

Candace says, dammit. Her brother will be here soon. Her phone rings. It’s Benny, asking where she is, and she says she’s on the way. She got held up. He says she has fifteen minutes or he’s leaving. She repeats she’s on her way. RJ says, he sounds mad, and Candace says, he is. Candace wonders what Malik is doing in there, and RJ says probably her mom. Oooh! Candace says, that’s not funny. Considering what she did to Rocky, RJ must like flirting with death.

Malik starts to leave. He tells Hanna not to do anything. Don’t scream, and don’t call anyone until he’s gone. She says she won’t, but hits something on her phone, behind her on the nightstand. He asks why she did that, and she runs. He chases her, and they wrestle on the floor. She gets to the kitchen, and whacks him with a frying pan. That doesn’t stop him, and he cracks her one across the face, sending her flying. She grabs a knife and stabs him in the shoulder. He falls back, and she scoots away from him on the floor.

Next time, Derrick arrives at Hanna’s, Veronica bugs David in the hospital, and Mitch tells Benny to either hide or stay in public.

💰 🗽 On Million Dollar Listing New York, Steve was the broker for a 443-acre property in Upstate New York. He hooked up with a local broker, and the place was so big, they needed horses to see the whole thing in one day. He ended up walking away from the listing, not being able to devote the time to it while starting a new team. Ryan dressed like the Statue of Liberty. and was the tour guide for a group of brokers on a double-decker tour bus. He took them to a condo near Times Square, where he had a Great Gatsby party. He, too, ended up walking away, but he handed over the sales he made, which would have totaled $9 million in commission. The partnership wasn’t for him. Fredrik was the big winner this week, selling an apartment to Bruce Willis, whom I love, but unfortunately didn’t make an appearance on the show. Bruce was looking for something under $10 million. The sale created an avalanche of sales. Fredrik met with Larry Silverstein, a New York City developer and icon, and also Fredrik’s idol. Fredrik talked about how NYC is the love of his life, and touched on the World Trade Center attack, which still boggles my mind. He was like a little boy, yelling I love New York, from the balcony of one of Larry’s properties. It was one of those moments I really liked Fredrik. Next time, more fab properties, a scavenger hunt, and Daughtry plays.
