General Hospital

🍕 Weekday Slices…

Monday:

Carly brought Valentin a sandwich, saw the mess, and asked, what happened? He said he’d gotten a visit from her WSB agent daughter.

Obrecht told Josslyn that her Nathan would never impersonate Cesar, and Josslyn said Faison didn’t murder Nathan.

Outside Bobbie’s, Nathan praised James for his karate skills, when Sidwell came along.

Ethan was surprised Sonny sold the piers, and Sonny said, long story. If this worked out, there would be no secrets between them. Lucy showed up and wondered what Ethan was doing in Port Charles.

Dante brought Rocco in for his shift at the hospital, but Britt thought his hand should heal first. Rocco said he wanted to complete his community service before baseball season, and Dante wondered if Britt had seen Elizabeth.

Cullum said Elizabeth had given him excellent care despite sharing a child with the man who shot him.

Lucy hugged Ethan and said he was still handsome. Ethan said, same, and Sonny agreed. Lucy said she was always thinking about Luke and the trouble they’d gotten into, and Ethan left to get coffee. Lucy said she was confident in confiding to Sonny that she was going to make her move on Sidwell.

Sidwell asked if James learned that lethal move from his father.

Rocco asked if Britt needed help, but she told him to go get changed, and he left. Dante hoped Britt could help out with the pier investigation, but she said she’d given her statement and nothing had changed, and she left.

Elizabeth said every patient was given the best care, despite who they were or their position, and Sidwell asked how her son Jake was handling things. He suggested she and Jason were still close, but she said that was hard considering she didn’t know where Jason was. He asked if she was working the night he was shot, and she said she hadn’t been part of his team. He said he wanted to find out where all the interested parties were, but she said she was hardly that. She didn’t see Jason that night. She was more than happy to assign another nurse, but he said it wasn’t necessary, and she suggested they stay focused on his care.

Valentin told Carly that he’d lost his temper. Josslyn neglected to mention her discovery of the book and cigarillos that Cullum had when she’d gone to Windymere. Carly wondered if that was code, but he said they were linked to Faison, and she wondered how they were linked to Josslyn. He said, not Josslyn – Anna.

Josslyn said it was a miracle Nathan was alive, and Obrecht agreed. Josslyn asked if she’d questioned why or how he was back, but Obrecht said he was a hero. He’d protected Maxie from a bullet from his own father. If Josslyn smudged her son, she’d regret it.

Lucy said she had to make her move or Ava would box her out, and Sonny said, let her. He told her to call him if she was in danger, but she promised she could handle herself, so ta. She left, and he said, famous last words, when Ethan came back. He asked what that was about, and Sonny said Ethan might have to save Lucy from herself.

Nathan told Sidwell that James was studying karate to learn focus and self-discipline, not to be lethal. Have a nice night. Nathan and James went into Bobbie’s.

Josslyn apologized, but said she couldn’t help thinking it was all connected with what was happening with Anna, and Obrecht said she’d forget they had this conversation. If someone was emulating Faison, it would be dangerous if they found out she was asking questions. She didn’t want to end up like Anna. Josslyn said she was letting it go and left. Obrecht took out her phone, while Josslyn skulked around.

Dante told Elizabeth that Rocco had been quiet lately, and she said she’d noticed. Dante thought maybe he felt guilty about Danny, and Elizabeth said she’d keep an eye on him. Had Dante followed up with Cullum? From the way he’d questioned her, he was looking for answers.

Valentin said Anna was convinced Faison was alive, but Carly said Jason was convinced he was dead. Maybe it was good that Anna was getting help. He said he didn’t think it was that simple. Cullum was dangerous and a Faison expert. She asked if he thought Cullum was playing a mind game with Anna, and he said he thought Cullum played a direct role in Anna’s breakdown.

Ethan said Sidwell was like a sparkler stuck between dynamite sticks, and Sonny said Sidwell was dangerous because of Marco being murdered. Lucy was in over her head, and he wanted Ethan to get her out of it. Ethan suggested they eliminate Sidwell.

Lucy met Sidwell at Bobbie’s and went over to say hello to James and Nathan. Sidwell suggested they sit together, but Nathan said Obrecht had invited them for dessert and he and James left. Lucy said she was thrilled that she and Sidwell could be alone.

Elizabeth told Dante that Cullum believed she was helping Jason, and Dante said he’d been barred from investigating what happened to Jason. He knew something was off, but hadn’t helped Jason or Danny, and they deserved better.

Cullum’s phone rang, and he asked what they had… Anna Devane… That is extremely interesting…

Valentin told Carly that Cullum and Sidwell were working on a project Faison had started. Anna knew the way Faison’s mind worked, and he thought she’d figured it out and was trying to stop it. Cullum would have wanted her out of the way. Carly said, why not kill Anna? but he said, it would attract attention. No one would rest until the killers were brought to justice, especially him.

Rocco peeked into Cullum’s room, and Britt grabbed him. He said he needed to see Cullum. He’d never shot anyone before. Britt said his life was riding on this and he could never say that again. Stay away from her and Cullum. Elizabeth saw Britt grabbing Rocco by the arm and yelling at him, and ran over. She told Britt to get her hands off Rocco.

Lucy asked how Sidwell was, and he said he had his ups and downs. She felt badly that she’d been in Los Angeles, but he said he’d never fault her for prioritizing business. Ava had been a bastion of support in her absence.

Sonny said it was drastic and he’d never known Ethan to cross lines. Ethan said, things and people changed, and Sonny asked if he was saying he’d eliminate Sidwell for the right price. Ethan said, no, because it was personal. Sonny said, since when? and Ethan said since Sidwell tried to kill his mother.

Obrecht hugged James and asked if he was enjoying karate. James said he loved it, and she said karate enhanced mental health by fostering discipline, focus, stress relief, self-confidence. He said, and humility, and she said she had something for him that she’d brought from New Zealand. It was a power shell that symbolized prosperity, healing, and connection to the sea. James thanked her, and Obrecht hugged Nathan. He asked if everything was okay.

Josslyn went to see Dante and asked about the investigation into Cullum’s shooting, but he said there wasn’t one by the PCPD. She flashed back to seeing Nathan at the hospital, and Dante said Jason had confessed. There wasn’t much he could do. Josslyn said he’d know more than her about navigating the WSB, but he said she would because she was currently in it.

Carly asked if Valentin just didn’t want to believe Anna broke on her own. None of them was invincible. Valentin said the timing was suspect. Two of Faison’s children came back from the dead and Cullum had been pulling the strings for longer than anyone realized. There was a connection. There had to be. Carly asked what he wanted, and he said he wanted to talk to Anna directly. He’d called the clinic saying he was Doc (aka Dr. Kevin Collins).

Obrecht said things were better than fine, and James said Nathan had gone on a date with Lulu and he got to come too. The chicken got so burnt, they had to go out for pizza. Obrecht asked if they’d enjoyed the date, and James said he couldn’t wait to do it again. Nathan told James to ask Trish about her mother, and James left. Obrecht said it must be serious with him and Lulu if he was including James, and he said they’d gotten closer. She said it was clear he and James were happy. He was a good father to his son. James had needed Nathan. Nathan said he’d needed James too, and she said they had each other, and in the end, that’s all that mattered.

Lucy said she was glad Sidwell had Ava’s support, but now that she was back, he had even more. She was thinking it would be great to spend time on the open water, something more glamorous than the launch. He said, like his yacht, and she pretended to be surprised that he had one. She thought it would be perfect to take to the 4th of July regatta. She’d gone in the past. He said she was welcome to come on board anytime. Perhaps they should invite Ava as well.

Sonny told Ethan about Holly coming to him after she’d stolen Sidwell’s diamonds in Africa, and Ethan said, it was a small price to pay, since Sidwell had tried to kill her more than once. The world would be a better place without Sidwell, but there was obviously a reason Sonny wanted to keep him alive.

Dante said he knew Josslyn was in the WSB, and told her about seeing her connect with Vaughn at the airport. She asked if he’d told anyone, and he said it would put her in jeopardy, so only Anna. Help him. She was asking questions about an investigation that should be handled by her agency, and it made him think it wasn’t an open and shut case. He wanted to know who sent her here.

Elizabeth told Rocco to complete his assigned tasks, and he left. She asked what the hell Britt was doing speaking to Rocco like that and putting her hands on him, but Britt said it wasn’t what it looked like. Elizabeth said she had no right to treat Rocco like that, and Britt said she did it because she had to.

James came back with cake to share with Obrecht. He wished he had a brother and asked if Nathan felt the same way. Nathan said he’d had Peter, but James said he meant a good brother.

Dante asked if Brennan or Cullum had sent her, but Josslyn said the WSB hadn’t told her anything. They didn’t know she was there. Brennan had deactivated her and told her to stay out of this. Dante asked why she was on a fishing expedition then, and she said she didn’t buy the official explanation that Jason shot Cullum. It didn’t fit Jason or Britt. It looked like they were covering something up. He said the next time she wanted something, she’d better show up with something useful and be ready to trade. She said understood and left. Dante called Tomkins and asked for the pier shooting evidence that they’d buried. He was going to reopen the investigation.

Britt told Elizabeth that she knew she was a disaster for Rocco, and she was trying to do the right thing and get him out of her life. Help her keep Rocco away.

Ethan said instead of retaliating against the trouble Sidwell caused Sonny, Sonny sold him his piers. He had a specific reason to keep Sidwell alive or Sidwell had leverage. What was the move? Sonny said he was impressed and he had his reason for not wanting Sidwell dead… yet. Ethan said, if and when that changed, he’d be more than happy to take care of it.

Valentin said Anna’s condition hadn’t changed and she was still suffering from delusions, and Carly said he’d taken a huge risk. He’d already done it once and the WSB were monitoring her. They knew he cared about Anna and would expect him to reach out. What if the call led them to her house?

Lucy said, it would be a dream, when Sidwell got a call and went outside to take it. Cullum said they’d been monitoring Anna and a call was apparently made by her referring doctor, but they both knew he was in Ireland and the call came from Port Charles. He wanted to find out who placed the call and pay that person a visit.

Tuesday:

Kai met with Willow in her office, and she told him that she was going to be taking a more active role in the International Law Enforcement Appropriations Committee. She wanted to know who supported funding for the WSB and who didn’t. He asked if it had to do with her meeting with Brennan.

Portia and Trina ate at Bobbie’s and talked about the baby coming. Portia said they’d done nothing with the nursery, and Trina said it didn’t feel right to work on their project when Jordan was going through hell.

At the hospital, Turner gifted Jordan with a cashmere hoodie.

On the phone in his office, Curtis requested a copy of the paint analysis from the paint on the guardrail, when Michael brought him some Aurora paperwork. He asked Curtis if it was about Jordan’s accident and had they ID’d the other driver, and Curtis said, not yet, but there was a good chance it was Isaiah Gannon.

Isaiah thanked Lucas for covering for him, since he’d wrecked the side of his SUV in the parking garage.

Brook cuddled Phoebe, when Tracy walked in.

Michael asked why Curtis thought it was Isaiah, and Curtis said the other car scraped the guardrail and the paint was the same as Isaiah’s SUV. Michael said there were a lot of SUVs like his, and Curtis told him about Isaiah bugging Jordan at the hospital. It was like he was feeling guilty. Michael said it still seemed like a big leap, but Curtis thought it was worth pursuing.

Isaiah told Lucas that his mistake was going to cost him in car repairs.

Jordan apologized to Turner for being self-pitying, but Turner said Jordan didn’t have to put up a front. They were friends. She always wanted the truth no matter what. Jordan said her face may never be the same and she was trying to be realistic. She’d taken pride in her appearance and didn’t know if she could handle it.

Trina told Portia that she was torn. It seemed insensitive to move ahead. Portia said the baby wouldn’t put things on pause, but she was going to let Curtis know before they did anything. He wasn’t happy about not being aware of her last check-up. Trina said Jordan was shook up about the injuries to her face, and Portia said shattered glass could cause deep lacerations and they’d been compounded by burns. Trina felt guilty for being rude to Jordan in the past and wished she could do more, but Portia said it wasn’t too late.

Willow told Kai that she was working with Jack. What happened to Jason was a miscarriage of justice and she wanted to make sure it didn’t happen again. She needed more power and influence with the funding committee.

Tracy was desperate for caffeine after being awakened by a wailing baby, and Brook said Phoebe would have a better sleep schedule in six months, but Tracy said, she could be back with her actual family by then. Chase asked where Brook’s car was, and Tracy said she’d put both their cars in to get detailed. There was two for one deal, and who didn’t love a good bargain? Chase left for work, and Tracy told Brook that he was a smart cop. She’d better do a better job of covering.

Kristina visited Lucas’s office and said she wanted to see how he was doing. He said he was hanging in there, and she said she’d been thinking about Marco since they’d reopened Charlie’s. She’d be dead if not for him. He was a hero. Lucas agreed.

Isaiah called Willow and he asked for Kai’s number, and she said he was in luck. Kai was there. She put Kai on the phone, and Isaiah said he needed Kai’s help with something important. Could he swing by the hospital?

Brook told Tracy that she’d come clean with the police. She’d just explain that she didn’t know there was an accident and leave out the glass of wine part. Tracy said Lucy wouldn’t, and Brook said she wasn’t drunk, but Tracy said it didn’t matter. The police would assume she was covering up a crime even though she wasn’t responsible. Brook wondered why she felt like she was.

Jordan said she knew she should just be grateful to be alive, and Turner said people were judged on the appearance, especially women. (Truth!) She had to present a whole package to the jury. Men didn’t have to worry about the same things. Jordan said she was the public face of Sidwell’s company, and Turner asked if she was concerned he’d fire her. Jordan said, it might be a relief, and Turner said, eventually, Jordan would deal with it. Her strength and confidence was inspiring. Jordan said the lacerations had already changed how she felt about herself and she didn’t know how she felt about that.

Curtis told Michael to keep it to himself, and Michael said, of course (🍷). Curtis said he didn’t want to make any accusations until he had proof and even then it could be dicey. They’d worked hard at making peace, but the other driver committed a crime and should be held accountable. Michael said he understood, but it might not give Curtis the resolution he was hoping for. Curtis said he had to know if his hunch was correct.

Tracy said coming forward wouldn’t help Jordan and might make things worse for Brook, and Brook asked if she couldn’t just tell Chase. Tracy said, absolutely not. He’d be obligated to report it. Besides, secrets were part of a healthy marriage. What if Chase decided she was at fault and decided she should come forward? Brook said, or he could decide to protect her and compromise his own principles, and Tracy said, Jordan was at fault. All Brook did was swerve to avoid her. She was saving herself and Chase heartache. Trina stood at the patio door with a package.

Curtis asked Portia if there were any updates on Jordan’s condition, but Portia said she’d been keeping her distance. She and Trina had discussed the nursery and decided they’d wait on it, since he was focused on Jordan. Curtis told her to start anyway. It was funny how things could change in an instant. Portia said she and Isaiah were shocked to get the call, and Curtis said, so they were out of town? Portia wondered why he asked, and he said when they brought Jordan in, he’d hoped to bump into them. She said she was done working for the day, but Isaiah came back for an emergency house call.

Lucas was glad someone else knew Marco was so brave, and Kristina said she wanted the world to know. She thought they should honor him with a memorial. The Corinthos-Davis Foundation could do something to honor him and she wanted to know more about him.

Kai met Isaiah at the hospital. They had a young patient named Derek who’d been there for weeks. Kai asked how long Derek was supposed to stay, and Isaiah said he was waiting on a liver transplant. He was a huge football fan whose dream was to play quarterback at PCU. He thought a visit from Kai would brighten his day, since Kai was his favorite football player. Kai said he’d do whatever he could.

Michael went to see Willow in her office, and she apologized for losing her temper and saying things about Jacinda. He asked why she had a change of heart, and she said she realized the animosity wasn’t good for the kids. He accepted her apology and said she should probably apologize to Jacinda directly. She said she had a favor to ask.

Trina brought them a package that was mistakenly delivered to the apartment, and Brook asked about Jordan. Trina said she was expected to make a full recovery, but her face may be permanently scarred.

Turner said, of course (🍷) Jordan would feel different. She had to give herself time to heal physically and emotionally. Jordan said she was terrible at waiting (same) and had no control over what happened, and Turner said Jordan could give herself grace and lean on the people who cared about her. Jordan said Curtis didn’t sign up for this, and Turner said he didn’t seem like he backed away when things got tough. Curtis was lucky to have her. Jordan appreciated Turner letting her be herself, and Turner said, anytime.

Lucas said Marco had considered being a professional musician because it was what Natalia wanted, and Kristina said it was lucky Natalia had Allie to fulfill her dreams instead. He said Marco had loved his mom and was devastated when she died, and she asked what else he loved. Lucas said, tennis. He once beat Marco and they had to play again to even the score, missing a dinner reservation. Kristina said she could work with that. What did he think about the Marco Rios Tennis Center? He said he thought Marco would love that, and she said she’d host a fund raiser.

Isaiah introduced Kai to Derek, who was very impressed. He wanted to be just like Kai. Kai said he could also learn from Derek and suggested they trade tips.

Willow asked Michael’s permission to take the kids to Disney World. It had been poor judgement for her to take them to Drew’s swearing in without asking him and she wanted to do things the right way. He said that’s why she apologized, but she said it had been sincere. He told her, just keep him advised on the details. They should coordinate their schedules since he wanted to take the kids to Hawaii this summer. She said she appreciated his effort to get along and wished they’d have done it sooner. Chase showed up with flowers.

Chase said he could come back later, but Michael said he was just leaving. Chase gave Willow the flowers and thanked her for helping with Phoebe. It meant the world to him. He thanked her for being a good friend.

Portia asked if Lucas didn’t go to med school with one of the top plastic surgeons in the country, and he said, Dr. Shapiro, who was based in LA. She asked if he’d see if Dr. Shapiro could consult on Jordan’s case, and he said he would, but the doctor had a two-year waitlist. She said if he was Lucas’s friend, it was worth a shot.

Curtis went to Jordan’s room and she showed him the hoodie. Turner left, and Curtis said it was nice to see Jordan smiling. She said she’d talked to Dr. Caldwell and it would be at least a month before they could discuss surgical options. The doctor said the burns shouldn’t be a problem long term, but they had to wait for them to heal. It would be simpler if they’d gotten help sooner.

Tracy said if Jordan or Curtis needed anything, they were there to help, and Brook told Trina, the night of the accident was the night she and Gio had performed at Charlie’s. Even though she’d missed seeing it live, Dante sent a recording and she’d been amazing. Trina thanked her, and Brook asked if she’d considered a future in singing. Trina said she was focused on the art world, and Brook said if Trina changed her mind, she’d be happy to help her. Trina left, and Tracy asked if Brook was out of her mind.

Michael met Kristina at Bobbie’s and said his meeting with Willow had been enlightening. He’d been worried that Willow would use her congressional power against him, but he’d figured out how to level the playing field. The key to neutralizing Willow had been staring him in the face this whole time.

Chase asked if things were okay between Willow and Michael, and she told him how Michael had agreed to let her take the kids out of state on vacation. He said it was the least Michael could do after framing her for shooting Drew, and she said, it was all very civil. She wished he’d been willing to compromise from the beginning. Things wouldn’t have gone as far as they did. He said she was too good for Michael and always had been.

Brook said she just wanted to help Trina out, but Tracy said Brook wanted to assuage her guilt when she had nothing to feel guilty about. Brook said, Jordan may end up with permanent scars, but Tracy said Brook inserting herself in their family would only make them suspicious. Brook asked if she was supposed to live her life with the secret and a guilty conscience, and Tracy said, it could be worse. If they found out she was in the other car involved, she could lose everything – her husband, Phoebe, and any chance of adopting. Brook had to pull it together or Tracy wouldn’t be able to help her.

Kai said Derek was great and would be okay, and Isaiah said Kai’s visit inspired Derek to keep fighting. Kai said he’d forgotten what it was like to have a positive impact on someone. He hoped Derek got a chance to play. He’d love to come back if it was okay with Isaiah. Isaiah said, of course (🍷) it was.

Lucas said it was nice of Portia to help Jordan and she said he was the one making the call. He said she’d thought of it, and she said she hadn’t been fair to Jordan. She hoped it worked out. They weren’t best friends, but Jordan would be a part of her life and she wanted to help.

Curtis went to catch Turner, and asked if there were any updates on the other car, but she said they had no suspects yet. He said he did. She should look into Dr. Isaiah Gannon.

Wednesday:

At the hospital, Isaiah told Elizabeth about scraping his car in the garage, when Willow arrived. He congratulated her and asked how she managed everything.

Curtis went to see Laura and gave her an update on Jordan. He said she was struggling with coming to terms with permanent scarring and asked if Laura could help him figure something out. They were trying to find the driver from the other vehicle and he had reason to believe it was Isaiah.

Alexis sat with Brook at the park, and Brook introduced her to Phoebe.

Josslyn went to see Lucas and said she was concerned about Cullum. Lucas wondered why she was so interested in him.

Nathan went to Lulu’s and said they had to do something before Rocco got himself in trouble.

Jack went to Crimson to see Nina, and said he wanted a cease fire. It was time to reset the tone of their relationship.

Valentin wanted to cook for Carly and the moss bowl🎍, when Michael showed up.

Josslyn told Lucas that she was concerned about her mother. If Cullum made a recovery, he might remember something that helped Jason. His account of what happened might clarify why Jason did what he did, and he might help Jason’s defense even if he didn’t mean to. With Jason gone, she was worried her mom would do something reckless.

Valentin hid, and Michael came in. He said he figured out how to handle Willow, and Carly asked what she’d done. Michael said it was what Willow was going to do. She just needed a little push.

Elizabeth told Willow that when she was with Drew, he’d blinked an SOS. She wondered why Nina hadn’t told Willow.

Jack said his and Nina’s relationship was needlessly antagonistic. Part of his job was to find Valentin, but he wasn’t going to pressure her about Charlotte anymore and the traffic cam footage didn’t need to see the light of day. Nina asked what the catch was.

Laura said, as far as she knew, the PCPD was treating it as a single car accident, and Curtis said it wasn’t the other driver’s fault, but if they had stopped, an ambulance could have been called and they could have gotten Jordan out sooner and further away before the car exploded. Laura suggested the other driver didn’t know there was an accident, and Curtis said the only way to know was to find him. Laura asked if he held them responsible.

Nathan told Lulu that Rocco came clean to Britt, and Lulu was worried that Britt would sacrifice Rocco if she needed leverage. Nathan said Britt loved Rocco and had come to him. She’d been on the pier that night, but she wasn’t the problem. Rocco was.

Curtis said they didn’t know why the driver didn’t stop and deserved information, but Laura said moral responsibility didn’t always translate to legal accountability. Curtis said it was a crime to flee the scene of an accident, but Laura said, only if they knew there had been an accident. Curtis said, if it was Isaiah, it would complicate things between him and Portia, and they were in a good place, but he and Jordan almost died. The crash was an accident, but driving away was a choice. She asked if he really believed it was Isaiah or did he want it to be.

Brook told Alexis that the PCPD was looking for Phoebe’s family, but had come up with nothing. If there was no family, how long before she was officially declared a ward of the state?

Willow told Elizabeth that Drew did that a lot. He wanted to be his old self and it was his way of expressing his anger and frustration. Elizabeth said there were eye-tracking devices that translated to words. Willow could get her husband back.

Jack said there was no catch, and Nina said he must have realized she was right, that Carly would kick him to the curb if she found out. He said he didn’t see the need to rock the boat, but if Charlotte happened to confide in her, he’d appreciate it if she passed it along. Nina flashed back to Valentin saying he wanted her to pass information along that he wanted Jack to have, and told Jack they’d call it done and walk away. He said, done. If she did give him information, he’d make sure no one knew it came from her. He left, and Jacinda asked why Charlotte was rude to him. Charlotte said he was the reason her dad was a fugitive, but Jack wouldn’t find him in a million years.

Josslyn told Lucas that she and her mom weren’t speaking, and she’d said some things she regretted. Lucas said it was usually her mom that said things everybody regretted, so it was progress, and she said, nice try. He said it would pass. It’s what their family did. In the meantime, he’d keep an eye on her mom. They’d just had dinner and at the moment, Josslyn might be right to question her mom’s choices.

Michael told Carly that Chase was blind to Willow’s manipulations. He didn’t see her for what she was. Carly asked if he thought Chase was still in love with her, and he said Chase was supposedly happily married and was doing this for another woman. She asked if he thought they were having an affair, and he said, not yet, but it just needed a little fuel. She asked what he’d get out of it, and he said it would be a massive scandal. Willow would be removed from her seat and his advantages would work again. Carly said it could work, but would destroy Brook’s marriage and life. Did he want to do that?

Michael said he loved Brook, but as awful as it was, he knew the truth about Willow now. He hadn’t known who she was, like Brook didn’t know who Chase was. He saw Chase for who he really was, convinced of his own moral superiority. He wasn’t going to force Chase to cheat on Brook, but he’d construct circumstances favorable to an affair. She asked why Willow would cheat, and he said she was alone in the world and didn’t do well alone. She needed someone to reinforce her belief in herself. Willow wanted to be the person Chase thought she was.

Willow told Elizabeth that she’d looked into it, but was concerned it would send Drew the wrong message. He would take it as her not believing in him and accepting his condition as permanent. She couldn’t do that because he was a proud man. Elizabeth said it must be daunting to add one more thing, but he’d been trying hard to communicate. Willow’s and Drew’s lives would be better if he could talk to her.

Alexis asked if Brook and Chase had talked about adopting Phoebe, but Brook said she thought they were afraid to say it out loud. They wanted Phoebe back with her family and it felt wrong to give her to strangers, abandoning her all over again. They already loved her. Alexis said that might be what they had to do.

Charlotte was snippy with Nina, and Nina said she owed Charlotte an apology for not being a good friend. She was sorry for letting Charlotte down and promised to do better. Charlotte said she hadn’t expected anything from Nina anyway. She was never really Nina’s daughter.

Nathan said Rocco was struggling, and Lulu said of course (🍷) he was, but he wouldn’t be in this situation if he hadn’t been following Britt. Nathan said if it was found out that Rocco shot Cullum, everything they’d done to protect him would go down the drain, and it was only a matter of time before Rocco told Dante. She said she’d talk to him, but he said that wasn’t working, and she asked what they should do. He said they needed to send Rocco away for his own good.

Josslyn wondered what was going on with her mom, but Lucas told her that he shouldn’t have said anything. She said, he did. So spill. If her mom had gone rogue or was trying to rescue Jason, she needed to know. Lucas said what Carly was doing wasn’t dangerous or illegal, but Josslyn said she wasn’t leaving his side until he told her and she had all day. He said, fine. Carly was cheating on Brennan.

Brook wondered if being Phoebe’s foster parents worked in their favor, and Alexis said it was a complicated situation. When they’d decided to take Phoebe in, they did it with the understanding that it was temporary. They couldn’t cut the line ahead of families waiting to adopt. Brook said, what about what was best for Phoebe? but Alexis said that wasn’t for them to decide. If they really wanted to adopt Phoebe, the sooner they made it official, the better.

Curtis asked if Laura thought he wanted it to be Isaiah because of his relationship with Portia, and Laura said Isaiah was a doctor who’d taken an oath to do no harm. Why would he keep quiet about it? It was the man Portia cheated on him with and it had caused uncertainty about the baby. There had to be a part of him that wanted to punish Isaiah. He said Portia was planning a future with Isaiah and their futures were entwined, and she asked how he felt about Isaiah being a part of that. He said he didn’t love it, but had to accept Isaiah would be part of the baby’s life, like or not. If Isaiah was the one, he thought Portia needed to know what kind of man he was. Laura said maybe Curtis shouldn’t be the one to prove it.

Jacinda asked if Charlotte was okay, and Charlotte said she used to think Nina loved her, but she couldn’t trust Nina and neither could her dad. Willow came in to see Nina and went into her office. She asked why Nina didn’t tell her that Elizabeth was worried about Drew, and Nina said she thought she’d played it off, but Willow said, not well enough. Elizabeth was pushing her to get an eye-tracking device so he could communicate. Nina said the second Drew could tell people what was going on, it was all over.

Josslyn asked, who and how long? Did Brennan know? Lucas said Carly admitted no details, which made him think he knew the person and didn’t like them. Josslyn flashed back to asking Carly if she was aiding and abetting a fugitive, and Lucas said he was worried Carly was with Sonny again, but Josslyn said it wasn’t Sonny. Her mom was past that. Lucas said, as for Brennan knowing, he didn’t think so. Carly was working hard to keep it a secret and he supposed it was none of his business. Don’t say anything to her. Josslyn said she wouldn’t and left.

Nathan told Lulu that they had to get Rocco out of Port Charles, but Lulu said, absolutely not. He said it would be good for Rocco to get away from where it happened, but she said it was also where everyone who cared about him lived. He said Rocco was already isolating himself. She thought Rocco could contain this, but he couldn’t. They had to get him out. It would be better for everyone if Rocco wasn’t there and she needed to think about what Rocco needed, not what she wanted.

Lulu asked who Nathan thought he was. She wasn’t abandoning Rocco when he needed her most. Isaiah knocked at the door, and she told Nathan that Isaiah was a true friend. He’d treated Rocco’s hand, no questions asked. Isaiah gave her the last round of antibiotics and said he hadn’t realized Nathan was involved. Nathan asked what he knew, and Isaiah said he knew Rocco hurt his hand. Like Lulu said, no questions asked.

Brook said she’d talk to Chase tonight, and Alexis told her to have an honest conversation about what they both wanted. They’d wanted a private adoption, which was different from a state adoption. With a private adoption, the couples had more control rather than fighting the child welfare system. Brook asked if they had to go to court, and Alexis said, not only did they have to convince the court to ignore its own rules, they had to convince them to ignore the families waiting for a baby. She’d help, but it would be a hard fight and they needed to be up for it. Brook said she already knew in her heart what Chase would say. They wanted this baby. Phoebe belonged with them.

Lucas said he heard Willow came by, and Elizabeth said she’d asked Willow to stop by. They’d barely seen each other and Willow had managed to isolate herself with Drew and Scout. He asked if Willow really had anyone to talk to besides her, and Elizabeth said Nina was the only other adult around. She thought Willow was in over her head.

Charlotte said she took it that Jacinda didn’t like Willow, and Jacinda said, not one bit. She hated the way Willow had treated Michael and how she tried to play victim. She was the one who cheated. Charlotte said, if she hadn’t, Jacinda and Michael might not be together, and Jacinda said, good point. Charlotte said there was nothing worse than someone who pretended to care. It turned out she couldn’t trust Nina. She never thought Nina would turn against her father, but now… Michael walked in.

Carly said it had been close. What if Michael had discovered Valentin? Valentin said then he would have had to kill him, and she told him not to joke about it. Michael would never say anything, but she didn’t want him involved. Michael showing up proved Valentin couldn’t keep hiding out there. Valentin said Brennan had gone from target to distraction. They had to shift the focus to Cullum and Sidwell. He wanted to use Nina to bait Jack into an ambush. She said he wasn’t going to kill Jack, right?

Michael asked if Charlotte would mind getting him coffee, and she left. Jacinda said Charlotte was about to tell her something about Valentin, but he said she didn’t need to press Charlotte or get involved. He’d found another way to get to Willow.

Willow told Nina that meant they had to find something to use against Drew sooner. Drew couldn’t expose them when he miraculously recovered.

Elizabeth told Lucas that she hadn’t expected Willow to push back. Maybe she’d think about it and come around. It was important for Drew to communicate beyond yes and no. Lucas said maybe Willow didn’t want to hear what Drew had to say.

Nathan said Isaiah couldn’t discuss this with anyone, and Isaiah said he understood doctor/patient confidentiality. He didn’t know what happened and didn’t want to. As a doctor, he couldn’t disclose that he’d come there to anyone.

Laura asked where the investigation stood, and Curtis said he’d asked Turner to look into Isaiah and she said she would. Laura suggested he stay out of it and let the police do their job. If he was involved, Portia would see it as personal animosity. Curtis said he wasn’t good at waiting, and she told him to put his attention where it was needed most, on Jordan, and helping her get through this time. He said he was doing his best, and she said she was there for him if he needed anything. Try to have faith that whoever the other driver was, the police would find them and bring them to justice.

Alexis said if Brook and Chase wanted to adopt Phoebe, she’d help, but it wasn’t going to be easy. Brook said, nothing worthwhile was. What steps did they have to take? Alexis said she recommend doing a private search for Phoebe’s family. While that was going on, they’d talk to the state, who would do an extensive background check on both of them. Nobody’s life was spotless and they had to anticipate what would be dug up and have an explanation. They needed to be ready to answer for everything they’d ever done.

Valentin asked if it would be so bad if he killed Jack, and Carly said, yes. He asked if she still loved Jack, and she said, stop with the jealousy. If he killed Jack, the WSB would be all over him and not stop looking for him. He’d have to disappear again and she’d already lost Jason… They had to stick to the plan, exonerate him and leave Jack holding the bag. He said, when they ambushed Jack, they needed something Jack feared more than either of them.

Jack went into his hotel room, and found Josslyn there. He asked what she was doing there, and she said her mom owned the hotel. She’d used a master pass key to let herself in. They needed to talk. He said if Cullum found out she was WSB, she was dead. For her own survival, she needed to stay away from him. She said his only concern was what would happen to his relationship with her mother if something happened to her, but he said that wasn’t true. She said it was too late. He’d already lost Carly.

Thursday:

Ric told Sonny that Ethan was a guy who went where the money was. Everything suggested he could be bought, and some of Sonny’s enemies had very deep pockets. Sonny asked if he meant Sidwell.

At the MetroCourt Gardens, Ava told Sidwell about a piece a friend was willing to sell off-market that was perfect for Windymere. She wanted him to see it in person in St. Bart’s. Lucy joined them and asked when they left.

Nathan and Britt met Obrecht at Crimson, and Obrecht said she wanted to throw a party for James and for Nina to host.

Carly asked what Valentin thought of roast lamb, and Lucas asked who was cooking. She asked if he’d let himself in. Advance notice would be appreciated. He said he didn’t want to walk in on her and her mystery side man any more than she wanted him to.

Brennan yelled at Josslyn to stay low. She needed to stay away from him. If Cullum found out she was WSB, she was dead. Josslyn said he only cared because of Carly, but it was too late. He’d already lost her. She’d moved on with another man.

Nina said she’d do anything for James, and Obrecht wanted to discuss her vision, which included a trampoline and a water balloon fight. For the adults, she envisioned champagne, an oyster bar, and a caviar station. Nina said she loved the enthusiasm, but she didn’t have room for that in her penthouse, and Obrecht said the most important thing was that James share the day with Nathan. The memories would be irreplaceable.

Ava said the trip was strictly business, but Sidwell said his next two weeks were slammed. Lucy said she had a tiny bit of Deception business they should discuss, and Ava said she’d love to sit in.

Sonny said he knew Ric was looking out for him, but Luke’s son wouldn’t sell him out. Ric said, how about Holly Sutton’s? Sidwell had evidence that could tie Sonny and Laura to Dalton’s death. He also blamed Sonny for Marco’s murder. Now wasn’t the time to take the chance. Why was he willing to risk everything on a gamble he didn’t need to make?

Carly was sorry she’d told Lucas, and he asked if they guy was staying there. She said, of course (🍷) not, and he said she needed to end it now.

Brennan said he didn’t believe Josslyn, but she said it was the truth. He said she was just mad at him, but she said it had nothing to do with that. He said, if it wasn’t retaliation, what was it? and she said she was telling him a truth he didn’t want to hear.

Nina said she’d have her assistant look into vendors for the party in the morning, and went into her office. Obrecht wanted a minute with Britt, who told Nathan to save himself. He told her, good luck, and left. Obrecht wanted to know why Britt wasn’t supportive. She didn’t help convince Nathan that they should have a grand affair for James. Now they’d be eating pizza and compressed chicken off paper plates. Britt said James would just be happy they were all together, but Obrecht said she wanted James to have a better childhood than she’d given Britt or Madeline had given Nathan. She wanted him to look back and remember Nathan being a wonderful father. Not like his own. Faison was on her mind because someone had been asking questions about him and Britt’s brother.

Sonny said his gut told him that he could trust Ethan, and Ric suggested testing him by offering him money to leave. $50,000 would peke his interest. If he could frame it as a way to honor Luke, all the better. Sonny said it wasn’t a bad idea, when Ethan came by.

Brennan said he and Carly loved each other, but Josslyn said Carly had never forgiven him for her close proximity to Vaughn and not being warned. Jason was also one of her closest friends. He said Jason’s arrest had nothing to do with him and he’d risked his career to track Jason down. Josslyn said Carly didn’t forgive easily and never forgot, and he asked her to give him a name.

Sonny told Ric that Ethan was watching Lucy for him, and Ethan told him about seeing her with Sidwell and Ava at the MetroCourt. Sonny said he kept warning Lucy, but she’d said Sidwell was a nice guy. Then she got angry when he didn’t choose her over Ava and was going after him behind the scenes. She was cutting him out of Deception. Ethan said, it was tense, and Ric said, two women circling one man never ended well.

Sidwell left the table, and Lucy asked if Ava would leave since she’d love to have a dinner with Sidwell alone. Ava said Lucy was using Sidwell’s pity investment to hover. Step aside gracefully. Lucy said he’d made it clear he had no interest in choosing between them, which was fine with her. When she’d arrived, it was clear he needed rescuing. If Ava was threatened, she should bow out. Ava said she wasn’t going anywhere. She and Sidwell had a meaningful connection and it was only a matter of time before he got rid of Lucy. Maybe she should chat with him and tell him it was time to walk away from Deception. Lucy pretended not to like that idea.

Britt asked who’d been asking about Faison and Nathan, and Obrecht said, Josslyn Jax. She’d already been thinking of Faison because Felicia had asked her to go to France and convince Anna he was dead. She’d said no, but had been reconsidering when Josslyn cornered her asking questions. Josslyn seemed to be suggesting Nathan’s return wasn’t what it seemed, but all that mattered was her son was home and the same man she always loved.

Lucas said he’d been talking to Kristina about those they’d lost and he worried Carly was endangering herself and the moss bowl🎍. She had a weakness for dangerous men and had almost lost her life at Valentin’s hands because of Jack. It never had to happen. This was her chance to break the pattern. He was scared of losing her after losing Marco. Do it for him.

Josslyn said she didn’t know his name, but if Jack thought about it, he’d see she was right. Carly had been slipping away at odd hours and had been distant and vague. She went to one place and showed up at another. There was a lightness about her, a happiness that said things had changed and Jack wasn’t the one she was thinking about anymore. He asked if that’s why she’d come to see him, but she said, things had gone sideways when he started yelling at her, but actually, she wondered if he knew any more about Nathan and his missing seven years and if there was a link to Faison. He said her questions were above her pay grade, and she said that was fine. It was a pleasure enlightening him. She left.

Ric left, and Sonny asked how Ethan was settling in. Ethan said he didn’t realize how much he’d missed Port Charles. The burger at Bobbie’s was better than he’d remembered. Sonny said Bobbie’s never disappointed, but there were other places that didn’t live up to the memory of them. Ethan asked what Sonny was trying to say, and Sonny said if Ethan came to Port Charles to get some quick cash, there was no reason to cover. If he was in a tight spot financially, Sonny wanted to take care of it cleanly, out of respect for Luke. Ethan said he appreciated it, but it sounded like Sonny wanted to pay him to get out of town. Sonny said, $30,000 was a lot of money to fix his problems and he was trying to do something good for his friend’s son. Ethan said he loved money, but he could make it anywhere. There was only one Port Charles. He appreciated it, but he passed. Sonny said that was that, and Ethan laughed and said, it was a test, wasn’t it? He was sure Ric suggested it. Ric didn’t trust him. Sonny said, maybe, but he did. He had another job for Ethan.

Carly said she’d do anything for Lucas, but his impression was way off. The man she was seeing was dangerous, but not to her. He protected her. Lucas said she used to say that about Sonny, but she said this was different. They kept each other in check and stopped each other from leaning into their worst instincts. Lucas said anyone who could reign her in was something, but if this guy was so good for her, why couldn’t they be together? She said they weren’t at a place where they could do that, and he asked what Brennan would do if he found out. She said she wasn’t thinking about it, but if it happened, she’d handle it. Her mystery man would help. She could trust him and he’d stand by her. She was sure of it. Lucas said she’d really fallen for him.

Jack made a drink and flashed back to Josslyn’s visit, then Carly saying her dates were confused. He remembered seeing the two wine glasses when Carly said she’d been alone.

Josslyn went to Nina’s office, coming in peace and bearing a skinny vanilla latte. She said she owed Nina an apology. Michael’s marriage ending the way it did caused her to be… Nina said, completely unhinged? and Josslyn said they all made mistakes, especially when protecting those they loved. Nina said she didn’t buy it, but she was curious. Why was Josslyn really there? Josslyn said she needed advice about Nathan.

Sidwell returned, and Lucy said there was a shipment that was causing her concern. They’d received more zincite than needed and she wondered where the extra was going. Ric came by and asked to steal Ava for a second, but Ava said she didn’t think so. Ric said he promised he wouldn’t hold her captive for long (BA-DUM-CHH!).

Nathan went to Britt’s office and asked why she wanted to see him. She said he was blowing it. Someone was asking questions about him and if he wasn’t careful, they’d get answers. He asked if she was talking about Josslyn.

Nina asked what advice Josslyn was looking for, and Josslyn said, nothing major. She and Nathan had worked out together and he’d totally pushed her. She wanted to get him a thank you present and maybe ask him to be a regular workout partner, but she didn’t know what to get him. Nina said Josslyn had interrupted her work for gift ideas? and Josslyn asked for any tips on how to approach him. She didn’t want to scare him off. Nina said Josslyn had a crush on Nathan.

Brennan went by Sonny’s, and Sonny asked if he should call his lawyer, but Jack said he was just looking for a little intel on Sonny’s ex-wife.

Ric said it looked like Ava was a third wheel, but Ava said, the only third wheel was Lucy. Ethan watched them covertly.

Lucy suggested she take Deception and the whole shipping mess off Sidwell’s plate, but he said he couldn’t possibly ask her to do that. She said she was offering, and he said he appreciated it, but he enjoyed Deception. It was a very useful company.

Carly asked why Lucas thought she was falling for her mystery man, and he said the look on her face when she talked about him, but she said there was no look. It was a complicated situation. Why was he pushing this? He said she could lie to him and Jack, but she had to be honest with herself. Her mystery man must mean a lot to her to risk seeing him behind Jack’s back. Jack wouldn’t be happy when he found out. He could ruin her life and destroy what she’d worked so hard for. She said she was aware and was going to make sure he never found out.

Brennan asked how much Sonny had been seeing Carly lately, and Sonny said they were both very busy. If Carly wasn’t talking to him about it, why was he? Jack asked if he’d noticed any unexplained absences or times she was supposed to be somewhere and wasn’t. Had he caught her in any lies? Sonny said Jack was talking like somebody who was very, very jealous. If he thought Carly was cheating or lying, maybe she’d wised up and figured out he was bad news.

Josslyn said she wasn’t into Nathan like that and would never go after someone else’s guy, and Nina said, he would never step out on Lulu. Her brother was the kindest, most loyal, man she knew. Josslyn said that had been her impression. That’s why she was surprised he’d moved on with Lulu and didn’t get back together with Maxie when she woke up. Nina said her brother bowed out gracefully, since Maxie had moved on and created a family with Spinelli. He was being his usual selfless self. Josslyn said she guessed what Maxie and Nathan had was really special. What did Nina think it was that made their love story so epic? Nina asked why she wanted to know, and Josslyn said she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with Dex, and Maxie went through something similar – while she was pregnant. On the hard days, she told herself, Maxie got through it somehow, pregnant, and she didn’t know how to do that. She saw similarities in her own life. Nina said it was understandable. Grief came in waves at unexpected times. Maxie and Jay seemed perfect for each other. He’d told her about how they got handcuffed together on 4th of July and had to walk a mile to get the keys. She thinks that’s when Nathan started to look at Maxie differently. Josslyn should see the look in his eyes when he told that story. She didn’t mean to insult Lulu, but she knew her brother, and he never stopped loving Maxie and never would.

Britt asked how Nathan knew it was Josslyn, and he said she’d shown up at the gym asking questions. He’d handled it. Britt said, not very well. She followed up with mutter. His whole plan relied on Nathan falling out of the sky after seven years and people just accepting he had no idea where he’d been. It was a huge leap, but it worked because everyone loved Nathan so much. They wanted him to be alive. But the whole thing fell apart if anyone started asking questions, and they were. He said, people weren’t, but a person was. Josslyn was a ditzy sorority girl. Who cared? Britt said, he should. Josslyn wasn’t just some ditzy sorority girl. She was a WSB agent.

🫔 Friday’s Enchilada…

Curtis tells Jordan that he thinks he’s going to call Trina and tell her that he can’t make it to The Savoy tonight. He would rather stay and spend the evening with her. Besides, it’s Trina they’re talking about. She’s got plenty of friends to keep her company. Jordan says, he’s not backing out on Trina. He’s been by her side day and night. He’s allowed to take a break. He says, she’s not getting sick of him, is she? and she says, never. It would make her feel better if he had a night out. And it would mean so much to Trina to have some time with him. Come on. Make the two women in his life happy. He says, okay. He will. But if there’s anything she needs… She says she’ll call him. She thinks she might still have his number around here somewhere. He says, funny, and she says, now go. Go, go. Have fun and give her best to Trina. He says he will, gives her a kiss, and leaves.

Josslyn walks into the apartment, and Trina says, hey. She’d better hurry up and get changed. It’s getting late. Josslyn says, for what? Did they have plans? Trina says, yeah. Doesn’t she remember? She told Josslyn that Gio’s friend Michael James Scott is performing at The Savoy tonight. Josslyn says, Trina did tell her that. She forgot. She’s so sorry. She wishes she could come, but she has something really important she needs to do.

At The Savoy, Molly asks Cody if he can believe they’re going to see Michael James Scott. She’s always wanted to see him in Aladdin on Broadway. He says, who knows? Maybe she still will. This place is buzzing. Good for Curtis. Molly says, Michael’s so amazing. He plays the genie. Cody says, yeah, he knows. He really liked him in Something Rotten where he played the minstrel. She says, excuse me, I didn’t know you were into musicals, and he says, okay, well, technically, he hasn’t seen any, but from what he saw online, Michael made him want to see the play. And he has his own genie. One of his wishes has already come true. She says hers too. Is he mad she dragged him here? He says, dragged him? Is she kidding? If he ever turns down a chance to see her all dolled up and sexy, take him out. Put him down. He’s already near death. She says, he thinks she’s sexy? and he says he thinks she’s magic in human form. And that human form is very sexy. They kiss.

Chase tells Gio that it meant a lot to Brook that he invited her to his friend’s show, and Gio says he feels bad that he didn’t tell her about the open mic at Charlie’s, but even though he’s not performing tonight, he figured she’d enjoy this. Chase says, it’s very thoughtful, and thanks him for both of them.

Emma looks at a photo of Baby Phoebe on Brook’s phone and says, oh my God. She’s adorable. Brook says, and she’s getting cuter by the day, and Emma asks, so what’s going on with finding her family? Have they at least tracked anybody down? Brook says, not yet, and Emma says, and what happens if they don’t find anyone? Brook says they’re still figuring that out.

Carly is in Sonny’s old kitchen with the moss bowl🎍. She sets a grocery bag down, when Valentin peeks out and says, it’s like they’re in Grand Central Station here today. First Michael, then her brother, now a delivery man. She says, let’s hope that’s the last visitor of the night, and he says he hopes so. He thought maybe she’d invited law enforcement to force him to stay in the attic. She says she could host a PCPD potluck and he still wouldn’t stay in the attic, and he says he thought she was bringing home take-out from the MetroCourt. She says, yes, but he wanted to cook so badly, she thought she’d do him a favor. He says, oh, so he’s cooking and she’s doing him the favor? What’s that all about? She says she likes hers medium rare.

Jack says, if Sonny is implying Carly is cheating on him… Sonny says, that’s not what he’s implying, but if she was, he wouldn’t be upset, and Jack says he bets. Has Sonny been pressuring her to leave him? Sonny says he and Carly live separate lives. He wouldn’t interfere in her relationships, okay? If Jack and her are going south or whatever’s happening, that has nothing to do with him.

Jordan looks at a photo of her and Curtis on her phone and flashes back to telling him that she loves him and them kissing just before the crash. Brick walks in with flowers and asks if she’s up for a visit from her not so secret admirer.

Nathan asks what makes Britt think Josslyn Jax is a WSB agent? and she says she doesn’t think. She knows Josslyn is. He asks if she has proof, and she says she and Josslyn have openly discussed it on more than one occasion. Is that proof enough for him? He asks how long she’s known, and she says, since the Five Poppies. He says, and she didn’t tell them? Is she working with Josslyn? She says, of course (🍷) not. She didn’t say anything because if Cullum or Sidwell found out, they would kill Josslyn. That’s why this has to stay between them. He says he doesn’t think he can do that.

Trina asks, what’s more important than seeing Michael James Scott live and in person at The Savoy? and Josslyn says, studying. Finals are around the corner and if she doesn’t pass, she risks not graduating on time. Trina says, it seems like she’s always studying. And she’s pretty sure Josslyn was the one who told her that she needed to have a social life. Josslyn says she knows, but she’s so close to finishing one of her assignments and she can’t afford to get distracted right now. Trina says, come on. She has exams too, but the break would be great for the both of them. Besides, it’s just one night and she’ll really regret not seeing him. Josslyn says, wow. Trina’s guilt trip is almost as good as her mom’s. Trina thanks her, and Josslyn says, tell you what. Go ahead and if she makes decent progress, she’ll meet Trina there. Okay? Trina says, she’s going to try to be there? and Josslyn says, yes. She’s going to try to be there. She’s sorry. She promises. She hugs Trina, and Trina says, okay. She’ll see Josslyn there. She leaves, and Josslyn goes into the bedroom.

Britt says, the only reason she’s telling Nathan about Josslyn is so he’ll stay sharp. Just keep playing good cop Nathan and everything will be fine. But no matter what, he can’t give Josslyn up to Cullum or Sidwell. He says, how did Cullum not know that she’s WSB? He’s their guy in the Bureau. She says, she works for Chief Brennan and he’s managed to keep her off of Cullum’s radar. He took her off the case and warned her to stay away from it. He says, well, she’s asking questions about him. Clearly, she’s not listening. She says, it’s not actually about him. It’s about their father. She’s been curious about him ever since she found his book and a pack of cigarillos out at Windymere. He asks how that happened, and she says, Josslyn was out there during the snowstorm, with Cullum, who apparently bought her whole ditzy sorority girl act. That’s why she was worried he would. Then he could slip up and she would pick up on it immediately. But he can’t. Not with her. Nathan flashes back to Josslyn saying, it’s not like she had parents that were forcing her to become a doctor, and him saying, consider herself lucky. Expectations can be demanding.

Gio tells Brook that he and Emma had a great time in New York. Afterwards, they had dinner at one of Michael’s favorite places. Brook asks if he ever lit the lantern too close to the magic carpet, and he says, and risk going to Broadway jail? No way. But they did see it onstage during the show. She says, that magic carpet can fly, right? and he says, somehow. That might really be magic. She says she knows. What did Emma think of it all? He says, she was spellbound and he was excited to bring her to a place of so much meaning for him, and the show itself is just mind-blowing. She says she knows. A bunch of them from Bensonhurst went to see him that summer he filled in for the violinist. She’s pretty sure they took up half the theatre. He says he remembers that and they did. He was really touched that so many people came out to support him. She says, they’re so proud of him. Always have been, always will be.

Valentin says, just to be clear, is he going to be allowed to eat any of this food he’s preparing, or is he going to be expected to disappear like any well-trained servant? and Carly says, for a man who was practically begging her to let him cook dinner tonight just a couple hours ago, he’s doing an awful lot of complaining. She thought cooking helped him decompress. He says he was just wondering if this is her attempt at an apology, and she says, an apology? For what? He says, for being hard on him for calling the clinic and checking on Anna, and she says, maybe she was a little fresh. He says, good. So she can admit when she’s wrong.

Jack says he’s glad to hear Sonny’s not interfering in his relationship with Carly, but just for the record, he never said they were having problems. Sonny says, no, Jack just thinks she’s lying to him. Jack says he’s worried about her. She’s been pretty shaken up since the WSB took Jason. Sonny says, since he brought that up, he wants to ask Jack something about his colleague, the one Jason shot, and Jack says, Director Cullum. What about him? Sonny says, if Jason shot him, there has to be a reason. Does he have any idea why?

Jordan thanks Brick for the flowers and for coming to see her, and he says, anything for her. He wishes he could have made it here sooner, but he’s been keeping tabs on her. He knew she was in good hands. She says, now that sounds like a HIPPA violation to her, but she won’t tell if he won’t, and he says he knew he could count on her there too. But if he had broken a law or two here and there, it would have been purely out of concern. How is she? She says, honestly, not great. She just doesn’t know what her life is going to be like when she gets out of here.

Chase tells Brook, sorry that it took so long. Michael James Scott can sure pack a room. Look what he got while he was waiting in line to use the bathroom. Olivia and Ned sent over a photo of Phoebe. She looks at his phone and says, look at their little Phoebe, and he says, it’s only their first night away and he already misses her. She says, which reminds her. There’s something she wanted to go over with him. Cody comes by and says, hey, mom and dad, and Brook says, temporary foster mom. He says his bad. Being temporary foster parents must be keeping them busy. He hasn’t seen them around the estate much lately. Chase says, between taking care of the baby and the long hours at work, life has been pretty hectic, and Molly says she can imagine. She heard Turner’s really been pressuring the PCPD to find the other driver in Jordan’s accident. Any luck? Chase says they have a small lead, but nothing concrete yet, and Molly says she can’t believe the other driver didn’t even stop to check on Curtis and Jordan. Chase says, it is a little weird. It’s not like they caused the accident. Makes him wonder if they had something to hide. Molly says, yeah, maybe they’re just a really terrible person, and Brook asks if they can just stop talking about this. They’re supposed to be having fun tonight. Molly says, yeah. Brook’s right. She’s sorry. Chase says, no shop talk, he promises, and Brook thanks him.

Nathan asks what Britt proposes they do about Josslyn, and she says, avoid her like the plague. If she asks to work out with him again, just say no… in a kind and gentle Nathan kind of way. He asks how well Josslyn knows Nathan, and Britt says, not very, but he still needs to play it safe. They’re so close to completing the project. They can’t have Josslyn screwing that up. He says, she won’t.

Jack says, as far as he understands it, Jason shot Cullum while interrupting a sanctioned WSB operation. He assumed Jason was under Sonny’s orders when he did it. Sonny says he doesn’t know anything about this Cullum guy. He doesn’t have a reason to want him dead and doesn’t think Jason did either. Jack says, maybe he doesn’t know his boy as well as he knows his ex-wife. Britt Westbourne ID’d Jason as Cullum’s shooter. Jason didn’t deny it. As far as the WSB is concerned, that’s enough to put him away for life. Sonny says, so due process is not something the WSB worries about? Jason deserves a fair trial. Jack says, yeah, well, he wouldn’t count on that, and leaves.

As Valentin preps the meal, Carly says she wasn’t wrong. It was stupid of him to take such a huge risk by calling the clinic again. That call could have been traced. He says, okay. He admits he put them both at risk. Can she admit she was overreacting? She says, overreacting? He might as well have put a neon sign above her house that said, Valentin is here. Don’t bother knocking. Come right in. He says, now she’s being hyperbolic, and she asks if now he’s saying she’s being overly emotional about his independent decision to put targets on their backs, but he says, no. She says, thank you. She has to think about Donna. Donna needs her. He says, well, Anna needs him. She needs information he has. She says, what information? He has suspicions? He says, yes, that Cullum was involved in Anna’s mental break. And if that’s the case, maybe she has information on Cullum that can help them bring him down, and Sidwell. That’s their plan. She says, yeah, that’s not why he called the clinic, and he says, what? She says, he didn’t call the clinic because of Sidwell and Cullum. He called the clinic because he has feelings for Anna. He says, now she’s jealous, but she says she’s not jealous. She’s annoyed. She’s annoyed that he’d let his personal feelings cloud his judgement. She doesn’t want to go to prison because of his infatuation with his ex. He says, so now she’s questioning his judgement. They’ve been working together for months. She says, where’s that gone? Josslyn is still in the WSB, he’s still a fugitive, and Jack is free. He says he’s doing everything that he can, and she says, what is that exactly? Really. What is he doing? He asks if she thinks he enjoys being in the attic all day, and she says she didn’t ask him to come here. She’s putting her freedom at risk. He says, she’s right. This is not working. He walks out.

Trina says it’s good to see her dad, and Curtis says, her too. Kai says, hey, Mr. Ashford, and Trina asks how Jordan is doing. Curtis says, she’s taking it day by day, and Trina says she guesses that’s all you can do, right? He says, right now it is, and she thanks him for putting all this together on such short notice. She knows he’s already dealing with a lot. He says, anything for his beautiful daughter. Besides, it’s Michael James Scott they’re talking about. Kai says, that’s true, and Trina says she’s just glad he’s here. She didn’t know if he’d be able to make it. Kai says he told her to have a little faith, and Curtis says he debated staying at the hospital with Jordan, but she insisted she was fine without him, so here he is. Although he does hate leaving her at the hospital alone all night.

Brick says, look. He knows Jordan is going through it right now and it’s a long recovery, but GH is top-notch. It’s the best in the business. She’s going to be okay. She says she knows and she appreciates his support, but enough about her and her condition. Tell her what he’s been up to. He must have some good stories to share. He says, she knows he does. It’s him after all. But she knows he keeps it close as well, so he stays out of trouble. She says, oh, come on. He’s got to give her something. She needs the distraction. He says, she knows he can’t say no to her. Okay. He can’t give her any names, but recently, he helped overthrow a foreign dictator.

Gio tells Emma that when he plays in the orchestra, he gets comp tickets, and she says, that seems fair. He says, but you only get so many. So he had to keep his performance under wraps. She says, he was on Broadway. He had to know word was going to get out eventually and that every relative and neighbor he ever had was going to flood that theatre just to see him playing, and she bets they were very proud of him. He says, oh, they were. And they let the whole theatre know it too. Every time they heard his violin, they clapped and they cheered. She says, that must have been confusing for the actors, and he says, and for the audience, and for the rest of the orchestra. She says, so he wasn’t the only violinist, was he? and he says, no, but the other guy was a concert master. His Aunt Sophia was so convinced she could pick out his playing from the rest of the orchestra. She says, and which one is Aunt Sophia again? and he says, she’s one of Gloria’s best friends. She says, so technically, not an aunt, but he says, no, she is. He just told her. She says, no. He just told her that she was a friend of Gloria’s. So how many of these 20 plus aunts that he told her about are actually related to him by blood? He says, about half, but they’re all his aunts, and she says, oh my God.

Chase says he’s going to grab another drink and asks if Brook wants something, but she says she’s good and thanks him. Molly says she’ll go with him and they leave. Brook sees Trina and thanks her for bringing the package to the house, and Trina says, no problem. Anytime. So are they here to see Michael James Scott or did they just pick the perfect night? Brook says, oh no. They’re so excited to hear him sing. Speaking of amazing singers, she hopes Trina will take her up on her offer of making her a showcase. Trina asks what she means, and Brook says, it’s kind of like an audition. She gets a couple of producers, a few ANR guys… Trina says, oh, okay. Well, that is a lot. You know what? She’s going to have to think about that. Brook says she hopes Trina says yes. She’s got such a gorgeous voice. Trina thanks her and says she should probably go find Kai. It was nice to see Brook. Brook says, her too, and Cody says, good to see her. Trina leaves, and Cody asks if Brook is getting back in the music biz, but Brook says she just offered to help Trina. It’s not a big deal. He asks if she’s all right. She seems a little on edge. She says, yeah. She just thinks that all those late nights with the baby are making her a little cranky. He says, all right. But she kind of has her Camp Martha look. She asks, what’s a Camp Martha look? and he says, it’s the look on her face she had when she asked him to drive her to the bus station all those years ago. It tells him she’s worried. Maybe a little overwhelmed. She says, maybe she is. She has a baby back home with no family and an uncertain future. Her dad insisted that she and Chase go out and try to relax, but it’s easier said than done. He says, all right, but if you need anything, you and me. She knows they’re ride or die, right? She says she knows and thanks him.

Carly sets the two glasses of wine on the counter, looks at the food on the kitchen island, and swipes the peppermill and salt shaker onto the floor. In the attic, Valentin kicks things around, and Carly smashes a plate in Sonny’s old kitchen, frightening the moss bowl🎍. She heads upstairs, and when Valentin opens the door, she’s there. They kiss, and he takes her hand, leading her to the bedroom.

Curtis tells Molly and Cody, good to see them both, and Molly says, good to see him too. Cody says, Curtis has got to be thrilled with this turnout. It’s awesome. Curtis says, it’s about what he expected for Michael, and Molly says, of course (🍷). She hopes he gets a chance to enjoy the performance tonight. She’s sure he’s worried about Jordan. Curtis says he worries about Jordan 24/7, but she’s resilient. She’s getting stronger every day, and he knows she’ll get through this. Molly says she knows. There’s truly nobody else like her. Jordan was always so sweet to her when she and TJ (🦉) were together. Please tell Jordan that she’s thinking about her and praying for her recovery. Curtis says he certainly will.

Brick tells Jordan, so he’s got the dictator’s bodyguard on one side and the head of the resistance on the left. And then the mistress – one of them anyway – comes bursting into the room and get this, she’s waving a machete. Jordan says, they always have a machete, and he says, I know, right? She says, so what did he do? and he says he’ll tell her the rest when he sees her next time. She says, oh, come on. Is it because he can’t remember it all or because he needs more time to make up the rest of the story? He says, she cuts him to the quick. Does she think he’s lying? She says, well, lying, no. Embellishing, however… He says, there might be a little bit of something.

Gio thanks Trina again for setting this up with her dad, and she says, trust her. It wasn’t a hard sell. He says, still, thank you. And Michael puts on an unforgettable show. Kai says, speaking of unforgettable shows, when are Gio and Trina teaming up for another open mic? Gio says he’s down if Trina is, and Trina says, as much as she loves performing with him, and she does, if she’s going to do that again, she needs time to work up the nerve. Emma says, with a voice like hers, she shouldn’t be nervous. In fact, she bets if Trina wanted a career in music, she could have one. Trina says, you know what? That’s so funny, because Gio’s mom just said the exact same thing to her. She even offered to help her. Emma says, that’s really exciting. Is she going to take her up on it?

Brook says she owes Chase an apology. She shouldn’t have snapped at him earlier. He says, don’t worry about it. Things have been stressful lately. Great, but stressful. She says, it’s true. And as much as she loves caring for Phoebe, she thinks she’s just a little worn out from baby duty. He says, which is why they should use this night out to forget about everything else. Just concentrate on the two of them. He kisses her.

Sonny goes to Britt’s office and asks if she’s got a minute. She asks if it’s about Jason, and he says he hasn’t heard from Jason, but he knows where he is.

On the phone, Josslyn says, hi there. I’m calling from Café Cherie. Am I speaking to Miss Reeves?… Oh, Miss Bracken. Well, perhaps you can confirm Miss Reeves dinner reservation for tonight… Oh, she has a meeting? Are you sure?… Oh, okay. No worries. It must have been an issue on our end. Thank you. She disconnects the call and says, okay. One down. Now Nathan. There’s a knock at the door and she ditches her stuff in another room. She opens the door to Nathan, and he says he’s sorry to come by unannounced. Can he come in?

Brick says if Jordan wants to know how the story ends, he’ll give her a call the second the doctor lets her up out of here. He can finish filling her in on the adventures of yours truly at this beautiful resort he knows in Turks and Caicos. His treat. She says, that’s very kind of him, but he knows she’s with Curtis now. He says, yeah, he knows. The guy he met at the MetroCourt restaurant the last time he was in town, right? Michael Corinthos’ colleague from Aurora. She says, that’s him, and he asks if it’s serious. She says, very, and he says, then he’d better be good to her. She says, he is.

Molly tells Cody that she feels guilty about Jordan. They were so close, but when she and TJ (🦉) split up and he moved away, it was a bit awkward. He says, maybe this is her opportunity to break the ice. Let Jordan know she still cares about her. She says, he’s right, and he says, hold on, and takes out his phone. He’s going to have to put that on the calendar. Cody was right. She says, stop, and he says he still can’t believe they were married before. She says, technically, she and TJ (🦉) were in a domestic partnership, and he says, still. It must have been hard when it ended. She says it was, but it was also for the best. They were so young when they first got together, she thinks they both needed a chance to discover who they were outside of being a couple. He says, so he guesses she could say they needed to sow their oats, and she says, definitely not. When was the last time anybody used the phrase, sow your oats? He says, uh, she did. In chapter 4 of Laredo Sunrise. She says she did? and he says, oh yeah. That is locked in the vault. She says, my God, that’s awful. She has to change that right away. He says, good luck.

Trina says, maybe Brook is just being kind, but Gio says, no, not about music. She made that offer because she knows Trina has talent. Trina says she never thought of singing as a career, and Emma says, well, maybe this is her chance to explore that. Trina says, what about her art studies? and Kai says, she doesn’t have to give them up. It doesn’t hurt to consider her options. She has a beautiful voice, and if she decides to pursue singing professionally, he knows she’d be a huge success.

Josslyn tells Nathan, come on in. So what brings him by? Is he here because she spoke to Nina? He says, no. Actually, he came by to see if she still wanted to be gym buddies. She says, that’s so funny. It’s actually what she was talking to Nina about. She wanted to take him up on his offer, but she felt really bad that she kept bringing up his dad and wanted to get him a gift to make it up to him. He says, she doesn’t have to do that, and she says she’s still sorry, by the way. It’s funny in retrospect, because Nina took it the wrong way. He says, how so? and she says, Nina thought she was into him, but Nina made it very clear he’s with Lulu. He says he’s sorry. Sisters can be overprotective. She says, that’s what they’re there for, right? She’s really happy for him and her cousin. Although she will say she was a little surprised when he didn’t get back together with Maxie. They have so much history. He says, yeah. Maxie moved on with Spinelli. But they share James and a lot of good memories. She says, that’s true. Nina actually told her about one of them. Him and Maxie on the 4th of July. He says, the 4th of July, and she says, yeah. They were handcuffed together and it was the moment he started to see Maxie differently. He says, yeah. How could he forget?

Britt says, Jason’s at a WSB black site in Jakarta? and Sonny says, according to Brennan, yeah. She asks if they can use that information to contact him, and he says he’s looking into it. He’ll let her know. She thanks him for keeping her in the loop. She wasn’t sure if he blamed her for what happened to Jason. He says, helping her was his choice. There’s nothing either of them could have done to stop him. She says she just wishes things had turned out differently, and he says, yeah. You know, there’s something weird about what happened at the pier. The official story doesn’t ring true to him. It’s too messy for Jason. He was protecting someone, wasn’t he? She says, yes, he was.

Carly and Valentin go into her bedroom and get busy. It’s so busy, there isn’t even a song part. She says she’s scared, and he says him too. Then they get back to being busy.

Jack lets himself into Sonny’s old kitchen. He looks around and sees the wine glasses. He heads upstairs.

Brick says, looks like duty calls, and Jordan says, well, coups aren’t going to stage themselves. She really appreciates him taking the time to come and see her. He says he’ll always be here for her. Take it easy. He gives her a kiss on the cheek and goes to the door. He says, she’s got this. He’s got faith in her. She thanks him and says, that means a lot, and he leaves. She looks at the flowers and smiles.

Curtis says he’s glad to see Chase and Brook are having a good time, and Chase says, they’re about to see a great show. It doesn’t get better than that. Brook says they were both so sorry to hear about Jordan’s accident. Is there anything they can do to help? Curtis says he is counting on her husband and the PCPD to track down the driver of the other car, and Chase says, don’t worry. They’re working on it. Curtis says he appreciates that. He just can’t believe the other driver didn’t stop and check on them. If they had… Brook says, what? and Curtis says, well, if they’d just stopped and checked on them, they wouldn’t have been stranded for the better part of an hour. He barely got Jordan out of that car before it exploded. It was bad enough that she’s scarred, but all that wasted time, she could have died.

Britt tells Sonny, Jason could have gotten away. He didn’t have to stick around and let Dante arrest him. Sonny says, who was he protecting? Her? She says, yeah. He insisted she tell the police that she saw him shoot Cullum. It’s the only reason she said anything. He says, she did the right thing. Jason knows what he’s doing. She says she just wishes he didn’t have to sacrifice himself, and Sonny says, Jason just wants her safe. And because Jason is his best friend, he’s going to do everything he can to look out for her. So if she needs him, just call him. She says, thank you, but she’s fine. She’s okay. He says, all right, but if she changes her mind and wants some help, she knows where to reach him. She says, thanks again. Hopefully, she’ll never need it, but you never know. He leaves.

Molly tells Cody that her editor just got back to her. She thinks the sowing wild oats line should stay. He says, it’s a good line, and she tells him that her editor also sent her tons of dates and cities for her book tour. He looks at her phone and says, oh, Nashville. He knows a great bed and breakfast they can stay at. She says, we? and he says, well, yeah. He’s not letting her go on this tour alone. She’s going to need a roadie.

Kai says they’ll see Gio and Emma in a bit, and he and Trina wander off. Emma tells Gio that hearing Michael James sing is going to be like reliving their time in the city, and he asks, what was her favorite part? She says, definitely being on stage with him, doing this, and kisses him.

Trina’s phone dings, and she tells Kai, hold on. Michael James Scott just texted her. He said he’ll be here soon. Kai says he can’t wait, and she says her neither. She just hopes that Josslyn doesn’t miss it.

Josslyn says she’s so happy that Nathan wants to keep working out with her. She’ll send him her schedule for next week and they’ll get something on the books. He says he’s here now. Why don’t they just work something out? She says she would love that, but she’s got to start her run before it’s too late, because everything just… As she heads for the door, he grabs her arm and says, it’s already too late.

Jack huffs and puffs and barges into Carly’s bedroom, finding her in bed alone. He says, where is he?

On Monday, Curtis introduces Michael James Scott; Nathan says he can’t let Josslyn go; Pascal tells Lucas that he should not be here; and Jack asks if Carly really thought there weren’t going to be any consequences.

💉 A Dose Of Reality…

Below Deck Down Under

Jenna went directly from making out with Ben to making out with Eddy in his bunk. She did not pass go or collect $200. When Captain Jason got up, he found the boat a mess and wasn’t too pleased. In Jason’s interview, he said the crew had to get their sh*t together. He also told Daisy that if Mike and Alesia couldn’t get their sh*t together, he’d make changes. Daisy told the two of them that they had to stop with the egos, and figure it out on their own, but it was clear that wasn’t going to happen. At the preference sheet meeting, the captain said that the next charter was four couples from Phoenix and all should be considered primaries. Guests Brit and Shanel were BFFs, two of the guys played for the Diamondbacks, and Shanel’s mom Joanna was having a birthday. In a side interview, Joanna said she wasn’t tolerant of mediocre food. However, when the guests arrived, they wondered if they could get merch, making me wonder if they didn’t have the superyacht confused with a Carnival cruise. Even though Daisy heavily suggested Ben speak with the guests regarding the meals, Ben refused. When he made wahoo fish for dinner, they said they wanted pasta, so he had to make that too, and in Daisy’s interview, she said, I told you so. She wasn’t wrong. Joanna said, Ben was slow as molasses, and in Ben’s interview, he said he thought of charter guests as the enemy and that Daisy was joining in on their fun. Joanna’s birthday theme was leopard (ugh) and Eddy and Mike gave her a lap dance (double ugh). Jenna told Eddy that they had no future, and in her interview, Daisy said João wasn’t making a move and confusing her. She also thought Ben was sending the wrong message to Ellie. In not listening to her and shooing her out of the galley, he was acting like it was okay to disrespect her. Ben was late to the tip meeting, reenforcing the guests’ complaint that he was slow, and ended up with the disco helmet of shame. Jason suggested that there be better communication, meal planning, and getting in front of the guests to see what they wanted. In Ben’s interview, he said he’d gotten the helmet because he was tardy and sucked at cooking. Still, the tip was a good one – $28K or $2100 each. Ben, Daisy, and João had a HOD dinner before joining the crew on their night out. Daisy wanted to know if she was getting her apology, but Ben acted like he didn’t know what she was talking about. He finally relented and they hugged it out. In his interview, he admitted she was probably right. Daisy and João tried to reason with Ben about his disrespect of the captain and crew, but instead of taking it in, Ben walked and called them twats.

Summer House

Carl opened Soft Bar, and Kyle made it all about him. When he addressed everyone, I thought he said Dove Bar, which showed where my head was at when I was watching. He said his brother was the inspiration for the bar, and in his interview, he told us that his brother passing away saved his life. Besides the usual crowd, the guests included lots of influencers and Carl’s mom. Lindsay wanted to keep her distance and said his mom had sent a weird text. She read it, and I thought maybe she was looking at it with weird eyes, because it was very sweet. Carl’s mom hunted her down anyway, and Lindsay could barely look at her, allowing her only a weird side hug. This totally annoyed me. All the old roommates were there, including Danielle, who Lindsay successfully ignored. Next week, Kyle spins out yet again. It looks like we’ll be going from this to the Reunion to In the City.

Apparently, this is causing quite a stir.

The Valley

Michelle’s life was gymnastics growing up – she still knows her cartwheels! – and she was encouraging Isabella in that area. Michelle explained that her dad left the family because he thought people were after him. In his mind, he was trying to protect them. Brittany planned a pool party and recalled the last one being a disaster. In her interview, she said, this group freaked her out, and I can’t say I blame her. Luke was miserable, Kristen was frustrated, and Brittany said Jax made her feel worthless once she had a baby. In Brittany’s interview, she said her friends kept putting her in the middle and she couldn’t make anybody happy. Brandon told Kristen not to stress Brittany out, and in Kristen’s interview, she thought he should stay in his lane. Brittany started to think there was a hive mentality in the group, and Zack harangued Janet about a myriad of issues he had with her. Even though she agreed with him, he kept going, and in Janet’s interview, she said she was ready to apologize as long as they could end the convo. Weed was smoked and all was right with the world, but in Lala’s interview, she said every time they had a splendid day, it was the calm before the storm.

Southern Hospitality

There was the Pantygate of SH – Emmy having said she felt unsafe with Brad banging on her hotel door. She and Michols went blah-blah-blah, you’re not supportive, whatever. Joe planned a surprise pirate party for Maddi, who only wanted downtime. In Maddi’s interview, she said I t was an epic fail. To top it off, he forgot her costume in his truck, so she was the only one at a costume party with no costume. Shades of Grace and the pajama party. Speaking of, Grace met with Leva, and tried to finagle her job back, but Leva thought it best that Grace concentrate on her card gig and venues that didn’t serve alcohol. The group went on a trip to the DR where Maddi was ready to go international with her DJ’ing.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – Reunion Part 2

I hate myself for enjoying this, although I’m not loving Andy’s hair. Kyle and Dorit went at it, with Dorit whining that Kyle wasn’t supportive, and Kyle listing the times she was. Later, we did get the revelation that the way Dorit had protected Kyle was keeping quiet about relationships Kyle had that hadn’t been on camera. No surprise, Dorit overtalked her at every opportunity, and Kyle finally asked Andy to shut her up. Rachel started laughing so hard, it made me laugh harder. There was some stuff about Amanda having opinions on how Dorit was handling her divorce, and Jennifer joined the pack along with Kathy. We found out that Kathy had been on an AI Jell-O diet, which backfired on her, making her bloated. News flash: Don’t take AI diet advice or probably any other diet advice from the internet. Sutton and Jennifer apologized and made up. Not that I think it’s the reason, but they also agreed that the fans didn’t like them apart. Dorit whined about Erika and Sutton not showing for her book cover reveal <snort>, and Erika said Dorit had hurt her feelings by saying she’d been using her for a storyline when she’d bared her soul. I agree she’s been authentic this season. We even met her new man, sort of. I’d venture to say she’s matured, although a lot of it might be attributed to being relieved of some of the Tom burden, as well as the new relationship.

Ladies Of London: The New Reign

Myka had her first etiquette seminar on The Art of Showing Up.  Mark-Francis told Missè that he was feeling badly about what Margo said and started to cry. In public! Missè went to her brother’s grave, where Kimi met her, since they’d gotten past Kimi’s insensitive remarks earlier in the season. Margo texted Mark-Francis, apologizing and asking him to meet. When they did, she admitted she hadn’t been kind and hadn’t been a good friend and took responsibility for that. Mark-Francis said he couldn’t go back to being close to people who put on an act after he’d chosen to be authentic long ago. While it started well, Mark-Francis kind of turned things by saying Margo had narcissistic tendencies. In Margo’s interview, she said Mark-Francis didn’t want to clear the air and move on, and it took off from there. Mark-Francis dipped out, and in his interview, he said Margo thought he was sexually attracted to her, which she confirmed in her interview, saying maybe he had conflicting feelings. I didn’t get that vibe whatsoever, so I had to agree with him in saying she was a lunatic. Lottie and Joshua had a date night, subsequently presenting a Joshua Kane fashion show. I like his stuff, but it’s for tall, thin people. Martha approached Margo, and in Margo’s interview, she said she felt alone. Martha said she didn’t recognize Margo, and Margo said Martha was the one who’d started making fun of her clothes. Then Martha gave her the best quote in the world: This is England. No one talks about anything. They just bitch about each other behind each other’s backs. That’s British society. Well said.

Real Housewives of Rhode Island

I did watch it this week, but for some reason, although I thought it had promise, it’s failing to hold my attention. Jack had a pirate birthday party on a boat (is this a thing now?), and Delores came, further fueling my problem in telling these women apart. There was a bunch of stuff about Brian cheating on Rulla, who seems more like she’s from Staten Island, and there was also a polo match, which seemed out of place.

Random Reality Items

I wouldn’t hate Marge Jr. joining the cast.

Carole will be joining as a friend of. It has possibilities, but the jury is out until that’s confirmed.

Miami, Miami, you’ve got style.

👀 Last Weekend’s Watch…

Arizona. Netflix.  A small satiric film where a man in heavy debt lives in a subdivision where all of the houses look the same. Like William Foster (Michael Douglas) in Falling Down, he has a lot to be depressed about and he’s a guy who’s had enough. After committing an accidental murder, he kidnaps his realtor and goes on a crime spree. There are times (again like Foster) that he’s all of us. He’s an antagonist with a bad back, telling his captive, one time he was in bed for eight days because he tried to tie his shoes. I could identify. Everything that can go wrong, does, like when his hostage escapes and he misses finding her because he’s busy playing games on his phone. He’s a man who thinks he deserves what others have without working for it, cutting a path of destruction along his way. The reviews weren’t great, but I found it amusing and entertaining. Except for – spoiler alert – one part with a dog. Dog lovers might want to fast forward. The acting is also excellent and Luke Wilson stands out as the realtor’s ex-husband.

https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/arizona-2018

The Requin. Netflix. Despite my love of real life sharks, I also love a good shark vs. people film. Jaelyn (Alicia Silverstone) and her husband Kyle (James Tupper) vacation in Viet Nam, staying in one of those rooms that sit above the water on stilts. Jaelyn has a problem with water, as it triggers a stillborn birth that she blames herself for. A storm comes and the cabin is knocked down, and the couple is forced to fend for themselves against the sea and what’s in it. The acting was stellar – I could feel their thirst, even though I had water and coffee in front of me, and their desperation. The scenery was beautiful, although it was hard to appreciate it, considering the intense situation. There seemed to be a lot of stock shark footage, and the close ups were iffy at times, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, especially Silverstone’s performance, which was absolutely brilliant. Even more impressive, she did most of her own stunts (see below). The reviews were mixed. You decide.

Good Boy. Hulu, AMC+. A man on the mend holes up with his dog in a haunted cabin belonging to his dead grandfather. A unique little story, a lot of it from the dog’s point of view, it’s not bad for a $1.98 budget, and Golden Retriever Indy is a pretty good actor. God knows, he’s more well-behaved and brave than the Golden I had, who was literally afraid of his own shadow. I didn’t love him any less for it, but still. Spoiler alert – he does just fine.

K-Pop Demon Hunters (again). Netflix. I’ve been over this one, but after reading The Birth of Korean Cool by Euny Hong, I needed to see it again. It’s got all the K – the songs, the unrequited love story, demons, weird legends, and the vibe. And if you love all things K, the book is a real gem. (Also see the Billboard Women in Music articles below for more Golden kudos.)

Toxic Avenger. Hulu. Winston is a custodian for the BTH company and finds out he has brain cancer. His insurance doesn’t cover it, and thinking mostly about his teenage son, he approaches his boss, begging for help, but gets less than nothing. BTH is also a big polluter and does some dirty dealing, so when Winston breaks in to steal money for his healthcare, he gets caught, shot, and thrown into a vat of nasty sludge. Instead of dying, he’s turned into an anti-hero. I saw the original, and barely remember it, but I have the feeling ti doesn’t hold a candle to this one, even if it’s just because of the budget. With Peter Dinklage as Winston and Kevin Bacon as his boss, the acting is above what you would think was the pay grade of a movie like this. It’s gory AF – one of the characters actually poses my forever question, who’s gonna clean up all this sh*t? – and makes its point when Winston teams up with an activist. It has a great soundtrack and is filled with the usual Freddy Krueger one-liners. The ending is actually uplifting, and the end credits very detailed.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Curtis goes to Drew’s office, and Drew thanks him for coming by. Curtis asks if they’re talking about Aurora’s potential move into wellness, but Drew says, it’s not potential anymore. They’re doing it. His people ran the numbers and they’re doing a dual launch. An online lifestyle website, and they’re doing brick and mortar. The flagship gym is going to be right here in Port Charles. It’s going to be huge. All they need is somebody to run the division. So is he interested?

At the hospital, Aiden brings a big plastic container of cupcakes to the reception desk and asks if he can leave it for Elizabeth. The nurse says she’ll make sure Elizabeth gets it, and Aiden goes back to the elevator. Elizabeth sees him and asks if he’s not going to say hello.

In her office, Maxie tells Scotty that he’s got to help them. Lucy insists on being their on-air pitchwoman for Deception. He says, for cryin’ out loud, they know Lucy. She gets one whiff of fame, and it’s off to the races. There’s no stopping her. Maxie says, they have to because Home & Heart said they’re not giving Deception another spot if Lucy insists on being on camera. He says he could threaten to sue, but it’s their show. They can put on who they want. She says, they don’t want another lawsuit. They want to sell their products, and if they lose this opportunity, they lose exposure, which translates to lost sales. So please just talk to her. Convince her they need someone else… Lucy walks in and says, they wouldn’t believe all the people staring at her as she walked through the lobby. It’s very gratifying, although she is just a very humble, working gal, but she has thousands of followers. Did they see her post? So many likes. Scotty looks at Maxie, who says she rests her case.

Kristina says it’s so nice of TJ and Molly to have her over for breakfast. She’s surprised the baby is so quiet. It was practically kicking field goals yesterday. Molly says, sorry they missed it, and Kristina says, her too. He or she is probably sleeping now because they tired themselves out. TJ asks if she’s sleeping, and Kristina says, usually she manages six or seven hours a night, never less than five. Why? TJ says, Molly mentioned she stopped by pretty late the other night… after a fight?

Natalia knocks at Alexis’s office door and says she’s sorry to just show up at her doorway, but Alexis’s assistant wasn’t at her desk. Alexis says, if this is about the editorial… but Natalia says, no. She’s Natalia Rameriz, Allison’s mom. Kristina’s friend? Alexis says, yes, of course (🍷). Come on in. Natalia says she knows Alexis is a busy woman, as is she, but she just thought it was time they met. Alexis says, absolutely. Nice to meet her. They shake hands, and Alexis says she’s heard a lot about Natalia. Natalia says she’s sure, probably not all of it good. Is she right?

Natalia says she and Kristina had a bumpy start, because when she first met Kristina, she was in Allison’s bed, which was a surprise, as Alexis can imagine. Alexis says, she had no idea they were together, and Natalia says, no. Alexis says she understands Blaze hadn’t come out to Natalia yet. She hopes it wasn’t too much of a surprise. She gestures for Natalia to sit down, and Natalia says she had the pleasure of meeting Kristina’s father, and Alexis says, she met Sonny. Natalia says, and from what he told her, they have a really good relationship. Alexis asks if he said that, and Natalia says, and she knows Kristina is very close to her dad. Alexis says, she is. Kristina loves her family. Natalia says, that’s obvious. She said she’s carrying her sister’s baby.

Molly says she told TJ that Kristina came over around midnight. She just wanted to talk. Kristina says she was pretty worked up, which she knows isn’t good for the baby. She just needed some sister time. Nobody calms her down like Molly. These hormones are no joke. And as for the fight, Josslyn apologized to her, and they worked things out. TJ asks if she minds if he asks what the argument was about, and Kristina says, just Josslyn being Josslyn, complaining about her dad. He asks if Sonny did something wrong that they should know about, but Kristina says, nothing like that. It’s just that ever since Carly and her dad broke up, Josslyn totally turned on her dad and she’s always saying negative things about her dad whether they’re true or not. In this instance though, it turned out to be true. Molly says she’s sorry. But parents are human. Sometimes they disappoint us. TJ says, family is difficult. That’s one more reason to be careful. Kristina says, careful? and he says, about keeping her safe. Even if that means keeping her away from that side of her family. (Does he really think that suggestion will go over well?)

Aiden says he dropped off the cupcakes Elizabeth wanted for Amy’s birthday, and Elizabeth thanks him. She says, everybody is going to love them. What does she owe him? He says, they can settle at home. His free period’s almost over. He needs to head back to school. Tell Amy, happy birthday. She asks if he’s forgetting something, and he says, is he? She says, give his mom a hug? and he hugs her. She sees a pink smear on his backpack and asks, what is this? Why is there paint on his backpack?

Drew says, that’s why he wanted Curtis from the very beginning. He’s got experience in management, he has incredible talent for leadership, he has practical knowledge in the fitness industry. He’ll be able to tailor everything to meet their customers’ needs. He hands Curtis some paperwork, and says he really hopes Curtis considers being on board. Curtis says, this is? and Drew says, that’s the official offer. His proposed salary, stock options, benefits, a whole slew of perks, and of course (🍷) his stake in the company. Just take a look and let him know what he thinks. Curtis says he’ll do that – Nina approaches the office – but it’s going to be a huge change to his life. Drew says he gets that. It’s going to be a huge change for Aurora. That’s why he wants Curtis at the helm. There’s nobody he trusts more than Curtis to take charge. Nina says she completely agrees with that. Take charge of what?

Aiden tells Elizabeth, that happened in art class. He wasn’t looking where he put his backpack. Maybe it’ll wash out. She says, maybe, but that’s a lot of paint. He says, or he could switch backpacks, and she says, it reminds her of when he came home with paint in his hair, but he says, it’s art class. There’s a lot of paint. He tells her that he’s got to go and gets in the elevator. Elizabeth goes over to the desk, and Portia says, rumor has it that Aiden made cupcakes for Amy’s birthday, and Elizabeth says, yeah. Portia asks if Elizabeth not to tell her that they’re for nurses only, because she wants one. She knows what an excellent baker he is. Elizabeth says, yes, he is.

Natalia says, Allison told her about Kristina’s pregnancy. It’s a brave new world out there, isn’t it? Alexis says, it is, and it continues to be. Her daughter Molly was having fertility problems, really struggling to have a family, and Kristina wanted to help her out. They love each other and Alexis is very proud of that. Natalia says, of course (🍷) she’d be, but their choices present some complications for Kristina and Allison. Alexis asks, how so? and Natalia says, pregnancy in and of itself is a complication. It’s a disruption in a woman’s life, in a couple’s life. And that’s under the happiest of circumstances. Alexis says she was under the impression that Blaze was nothing but supportive, and Natalia says, she is, of course (🍷). That’s her Ally. (You know, it would help if everyone didn’t call Blaze a different name.) But there’s also public perception to consider. Alexis says she’s very happy to meet Natalia and she’s also glad Natalia came by, but she can see this might be more than a meet and greet. If there’s something on her mind, please feel free to share that. Natalia says she’s really glad Alexis is open to an honest discussion. She’s concerned for her daughter. She thinks she’s entitled to a private life, but as Blaze, that can’t happen. Alexis says, the cost of fame. Her point being? Natalia says, two women seen together, one of them pregnant, people are bound to ask whose baby it is and most people are going to assume that it’s theirs. (Huh? I can’t imagine even thinking about it that hard.) Alexis says she’s not sure why that would be anyone else’s business. Natalia says, Alexis runs a newspaper. She has a gossip column. If the girls are out and somebody shoots a picture of them in public and posts it, Alexis knows better than anybody that one photo can change somebody’s life. For better or for worse.

Kristina says, if TJ is referring to her father, she has no intention of staying away from him. She loves him very much and he always has her support. TJ says he understands that, but he also knows his Uncle Curtis was just shot from simply being in the same vicinity as Sonny, so he’s just suggesting she keep some distance during her pregnancy. Kristina says she made it crystal clear that this baby’s well-being is her top priority, and Molly says, she has, and they appreciate that. Kristina says she’s been eating healthy, she’s been taking her vitamins, staying hydrated. She’s been going to all of her doctor’s appointments. She even paused working at the Corinthos-Davis Center for this pregnancy. She’s taking extremely good care of herself and seeing her friends and her family is included in that. She doesn’t think separating herself from them is necessary or healthy. If they’ll excuse her, she has a full day ahead of her. She gets up, and Molly says, no, please don’t go, but Kristina says, no, really, she should get going. She would hate to have to rush and get home past her bedtime. Molly says. Kristina hasn’t finished her breakfast, and Kristina says she does know how to feed herself. She does manage a restaurant. She tells Molly, love you, and leaves. Molly tells TJ, really? What was that all about?

Drew says, he and Curtis were discussing an upcoming project, and Nina asks if that means Curtis would be joining the Aurora family.  Drew says he’s working on it, and Curtis says, they just started discussing all the details. Nina says, that’s great. As he knows, you don’t just jump on the first offer. Drew is a very smooth negotiator. If they shake on anything, make sure he counts his fingers afterward. Drew says he hasn’t heard her complaining, and she flashes back to them getting busy. Nina says, well, he drives a hard bargain. She’s just giving her good friend some sound advice. Before he gets in bed with Drew, make sure he knows what he’s doing.

Lucy asks what Scotty is doing here, and he says he came to talk to Maxie. Lucy says, really? He doesn’t need an excuse if he really just wants to see her. Why don’t they go to her office, and they can watch a replay of her segment on Home & Heart? He says he doesn’t think that’s a good idea, but she says, it’s a great idea. She knows she did really well. It’s just that she thought maybe she could take notes on her performance so she can hone her craft a little bit. There’s always room for improvement. She’s been reading up on Marilyn Monroe. She studied with Lee Strasburg. The method acting technique says, you should infuse your own experiences to make the audience feel… Maxie says, the pitchwoman for Deception is not supposed to be acting. They’re supposed to be selling. And they do that by projecting sincerity and approachability. The audience needs to feel like this person is a friend whose recommendations they trust. So when the pitchwoman says, Deception’s Disruptor Nourishing Cream really refreshens your complexion, the audience believes them. And they buy the product. But the first thing the pitchwoman has to do is actually mention the product. Lucy says she agrees. Of course (🍷). That’s why she still thinks her name should be in the title of their new skin care line. Lucy’s Luminous Skin Serum or Lucy’s Luminous Luscious Lotion. Which one does she like? Maxie says she actually can’t, and tells Scotty, please stop this madness and just tell her. Lucy says, tell her what? and Scotty says, her appearance on the Home & Heart show, it was a disaster.

Lucy says, disaster? She was an unqualified success. Maxie says, it was a dumpster fire, and Scotty says, go easy on her. Maxie says, someone has to tell her the truth, and Lucy says, the truth is, she completely crushed it. She takes out her phone and says she has all the comments right here to prove it. Maxie says, Lucy talked about herself on live TV for a solid hour. She recapped her greatest successes, real and imaginary. She barely mentioned their product or Deception. She was clearly there to sell herself. Lucy says she is Deception. She created Deception and Deception’s her baby and their audience knows that. Maxie says, yes, she has a following, but that doesn’t automatically translate to sales. She was there to introduce their new face cream, not inflate her own ego. Lucy says, that’s just rude, but Maxie says, rude is trying to one-up Haven. Lucy says, Haven is jealous of her and can’t stand the competition, and Maxie says, Haven calls the shots. She wants sales, not self-promotion. Lucy says, exactly. And the bottom line is Haven is a businesswoman, and she will forget all the envy and anything about Lucy because the sales are skyrocketing and it’s because of her. Maxie asks what Scotty is doing. Tell her. Scotty says, all those skyrocketing sales… Lucy says, they are skyrocketing because of her, because the numbers do not lie. Maxie says, she’s right. The sales are great, but they’re not because of Lucy.

Curtis says, Drew has given him a lot to think about. So if Drew will excuse him, he’ll get to it. Drew says he looks forward to hearing from Curtis and they shake hands. Curtis counts his fingers says, meanwhile, the two of them play nice, and leaves. Nina says, Curtis is her friend, and Drew says, his too. Nina tells him, so he says. Curtis is just getting back on his feet. She doesn’t want Drew to take advantage of him. Drew says he’s not taking advantage of him. He’s offering Curtis an opportunity that benefits both of them. Nina says, it’s a wonder how Drew can keep all these plates spinning in the air without dropping one of them, and he says he guesses it’s just a talent of his. What did she want to see him about? She says, her daughter. She didn’t get a chance to ask why Michael and Willow were in his office yesterday before that lapse of sanity overtook them again. He says, lapse of sanity. Is that what they’re calling it? She says she really wants to know. Why was Willow here?

Portia asks if everything is okay, but Elizabeth says, she’s not sure. Aiden had pink paint on his backpack. He said he just set it down in the wrong place, but it looked like somebody deliberately did it to him. (Actually, it looked more like he brushed up against something.) And last week, he came home with paint in his hair. It wasn’t a lot, but it definitely looked like somebody flicked a paintbrush at him on purpose. Portia says, and she’s worried about bullying, and Elizabeth says, yeah. This happened before when he was younger. The thought has definitely crossed her mind, but whatever is happening, he thinks he just wants to handle it himself. Portia says, yeah, but sometimes their kids think they can handle it themselves, but they can’t really. Elizabeth says she doesn’t want to hover, and Portia says she gets that. She hates that term helicopter mom. It makes you feel like you’re second guessing yourself when you’re concerned or involved in your children’s lives. Elziabeth says, there’s being concerned and there’s wanting to control your son’s life, and she doesn’t know where this falls on the spectrum. Portia says, maybe Elizabeth could chat with his counselor. Talk to his teachers. See what they know, what they don’t know. They see so much more than we do sometimes. At the end of the day, they just want what’s best for their kids, right?

TJ asks Molly to talk to him, and she says, he doesn’t want to hear what she’s thinking right now. He says he gets that she’s angry, and she says she’s frustrated and disappointed, and she can’t for the life of her understand what he thought he was doing coming for Kristina like that. He says he was thinking of their baby’s well-being and Kristina’s too. He commends her for living a healthy lifestyle and following the guidelines, but is it not common sense to want to stay out of the line of fire? She says, believe her. She has no illusions about Sonny, but he’s highly unlikely to put his pregnant daughter at risk. He says, tell that to his Uncle Curtis. Things happen. She says, okay, but let’s have a sense of proportion. She can’t ask her sister to stay away from her father. He says he just did, and she says, he saw how well that went. He says he expected pushback and he’s not sorry he tried. And that’s not going to stop him from speaking his mind to the woman carrying their child, even if she’s the daughter of a dangerous man.

Alexis tells Natalia, as a now responsible journalist, she doesn’t really approve of policing social media sites. She thinks people have the right to think and say whatever they want, regardless of how despicable or ridiculous it is, as long as it’s within the law. Natalia says, that’s commendable, as a journalist. What about as a mother? Alexis says she would hate to see Kristina or Blaze dragged through the mud. That would be painful to see. On the other hand, she didn’t raise a shrinking violet and she’s pretty sure Natalia didn’t either, so she’s confident they’d be able to weather whatever came at them. Natalia says, that’s very supportive and sane, albeit a little idealistic. She’s just sort of a pragmatist, and she can’t help but realize that the fallout for Allison would be a lot different than for Kristina. Alexis says, how so? and Natalia says, isn’t it obvious? Allison is a star with a huge fanbase and following, and Kristina is a… bartender.

Alexis says, if Natalia has an issue with Blaze’s public persona, then that is something she should probably take up with her daughter. She doesn’t really see how she can help her. Natalia says, please understand, she’s not disparaging Kristina, and Alexis thanks her so much for coming by, but she runs a newspaper and she’s getting a lot of calls coming in while they’re having this conversation. You never know when it’s going to be breaking news. So again, she thanks Natalia so much and appreciates her stopping by. Natalia says she’s really glad they got a chance to finally meet, and Alexis says, it’s always good to put a face to the person. Natalia tells her, have a nice day, and leaves. Alexis makes a call and says, how dare Diane not be there when she needs to vent? She just met Blaze’s mother and it wasn’t pretty.

Molly tells TJ that Kristina is doing something incredibly generous for them. She’s giving up nine months of her life to give them a child. The last they can do is not police her every move. He says he doesn’t like how she’s making him out to be some kind of control freak, and she asks, what else he would call the constant questioning about what Kristina eats, how much she’s sleeping, and whether she can see her father until after her delivery date? He says, fine. If wanting the best for their baby makes him a control freak, he’ll wear that as a badge of pride. (I’m thinking now would be the perfect time to throw a pie in his face.) She says, be proud of himself. Just lay off Kristina. He says he doesn’t think it’s unreasonable to want her to stay physically safe, and Molly says, it is if he drives her away. He says, if it does, then that’s on her, not on him. He understands Kristina is hormonal, but taking off in a huff just because they’re asking questions? He’s a doctor. She says, yes, but he’s not Kristina’s doctor. He’s not even the baby’s doctor. If there were concerns, Dr. Navarro would have raised them, but she hasn’t. He says, Dr. Navarro is only evaluating Kristina based on what she sees in front of her. She’s not factoring in Kristina’s connection to Sonny. Molly says, and that’s a good thing. Because Kristina has somewhere she can feel safe, not judged. He says he’s not judging her, and she says, isn’t he? He says, they’re supposed to be in this together, all three of them. They should have some say in how Kristina is living her life. It’s their baby. She says she knows this, but it is Kristina’s life. They can’t monitor her every move. He says, because she’s Molly’s sister. If they’d gone with a surrogate, in a few months from now, they’d have their baby with no strings attached, but now they… She says, no, go on. Say it. Now they’ll never get rid of her?

Portia meets Curtis at the MetroCourt and says, not that she’s complaining, but why did she have to drop everything and meet him here? All his text said was, it’s nothing bad. They sit at a table, and he says, aside from wanting to see his beautiful wife, he has a major decision, and he needs her to weigh in. She asks, what kind of decision? and he says, The Savoy’s been doing really well and he’s thinking about diversifying. She says, like a franchise or making it a brand? but he says, The Savoy is unique, and he wants to keep it that way, but it does involve branding. He and Drew have been talking about him wanting to move Aurora into fitness and wellness. So Drew is starting a new division and wants him to head that division. Portia says she guesses she wasn’t expecting anything like that. Wow. He says, they had a preliminary meeting a few weeks ago and he just now confirmed they’re moving on and Drew wants him in charge. This is the kind of opportunity that only happens once. What does she think? Should he go for it?

Nina says, okay. Drew wants Willow to go public with her medical history. She doesn’t know if that’s a great idea. He says, she’d be talking about her leukemia and her lifesaving transplant. It could help a lot of people. She says, and Aurora is involved in this why? and he asks if she thinks he’s making money off of this. She’s wrong. He’s working with a non-profit who finds donor matches for stem cells and bone marrow. Willow’s story is so inspirational. She’d make such a great spokesperson. She could jump start the whole project. She says, and he presented all of this to Willow like that, and he says, absolutely. And he made it very clear that the ultimate decision is up to her. She says she can’t ask for more than that and thanks him. By the way, she’s rescheduled her interview with Congressman McConkey for this afternoon if he’s still interested in tagging along. He says he is, and not as her chauffeur. He’d like to meet the Congressman and have a chance to talk to him. She says, that’s what she’s offering, and he says, why so accommodating all of a sudden? What’s in it for her?

Portia says she appreciates Curtis for including her, but she’s not sure. The Savoy was his dream, but he seems really excited about this new endeavor, so she really doesn’t know if she should influence him either way. He says he’d still love her opinion, and she says, okay. He’s just now finally recovering, right? He’s literally getting back on his feet. And between the club and Aurora, she just thinks he’s taking on way too much way too soon. He says, the club doesn’t need his full-time attention anymore. The Savoy survived for months after he was shot and in recovery. He’s lucky to have a great staff. N’neka is an absolute rock star, and he’s been getting great help from his dad, chatting it up with the crowd and the musicians. Curtis knows how much he loves that. She says, that’s kind of her point. The Savoy was his dream, and he feels comfortable leaving it in other people’s hands. He says, it’s not like he’s never going to set foot in that place again, and she says, but he’ll have to split his time between the club and Aurora. He says he’ll build time in his schedule to make sure The Savoy remains on track, and she asks if he thinks Selina Wu is going to respect his schedule. Because she thinks Selina still wants to take The Savoy. And what if she uses his absence to make her move?

Lucy says, her social media blew up after she was on H&H, and Maxie says, cyberbuddies and heart emojis don’t translate into cold, hard cash. And speaking of cold, hard cash, when Lucy was on camera, they were way under their minimum of 300 units per minute, but as soon as Sasha stepped in, they were hitting 650 per minute and on their way to selling out. Lucy says, that’s because she laid the foundation and her audience just waited until she was off the screen to start buying. Maxie says, that doesn’t make any sense. Why would her fans wait until she was finished to buy the product? Lucy says, obviously because they were enthralled, spellbound by her narrative. It’s a pretty incredible story, her long, hard road to success. They listened. Maxie says, let’s say there were 1000 diehard Lucy fans that were hanging on her every word. There were 10,000 audience members who were waiting to change the channel until Sasha stepped in and saved her bacon. Lucy says, so Maxie is giving Sasha credit for all her sales. They were her sales. She looks at Scotty and says, tell her. Tell Maxie they were her sales. Tell her. Scotty says, humma, humma, humma, Lucy, and she says, don’t humma-hum Lucy nothing. He was there. He felt the positive energy in the room. She had all those people eating out of the palm of her hand. They couldn’t wait to buy. Scotty says, actually, they did wait. They waited until Sasha showed up.

TJ takes Molly’s hands and says he’d never want to get rid of Kristina. That’s impossible. That’s her sister. His only problem is all the baggage that comes with her. She says, believe it or not, she understands his concerns. Sonny being Kristina’s father and the fact that she may end up prosecuting him, does he know how much she’s dreading that possibility? He says, probably as much as he dreads the idea of their child’s biological grandfather being a mob boss. It’s not all about Sonny. He has his concerns about Kristina too. She says, he knows she had her hesitations at first. But she and Kristina came to an understanding, and she thought that he did too. That’s why they accepted Kristina’s offer to be their surrogate, and she genuinely wants to help. She has said from the very beginning, she will be Aunt Kristina to their child the same way she is to Danny and Scout. He says, but she didn’t carry and give birth to Danny and Scout. There’s a big difference. How long before she’s second guessing them? (Not long if he doesn’t knock it off.) Judging their parenting styles and inserting herself into their lives? She says, Kristina has her own life. She has two jobs and a new girlfriend. He asks if she doesn’t think that could change with her being pregnant, and Molly says, of course (🍷) she’ll reach a point where she’s got to slow down, but he says he’s talking about Kristina. Everyone keeps telling him what a beautiful gift Kristina is giving them, but that gift comes with a cost. Kristina is more than a surrogate. She’s biologically and emotionally invested. Tell him that she can see how potentially difficult this is. She says she understands, but she’s still choosing to be hopeful. She’s seen Kristina really come into her own these past few years. She’s changed. For the better. He says he guesses they’ll see. They have no choice at this point.

Kristina walks into Alexis’s office, and Alexis asks, what brings her here? Kristina says, to see her mom, and Alexis goes over to her, saying, oh, oh, oh. What’s going on? Is she okay? They hug, and Kristina says she came from Molly and TJ’s place, and apparently, she’s doing this entire pregnancy wrong. The wrong diet, the wrong sleep schedule, the wrong everything. Alexis says, it can’t be that bad, but Kristina says, no, it is that bad. It’s worse actually. They think her dad is a physical danger and they want her to keep her distance from him. She’s sorry, but she’s not going to do that. She’s not going to abandon her dad, especially not now, especially when he needs her. He’s pushing everyone away from him, everyone except for Ava, who is camped out in his living room. Alexis says, got it. Breathe. Kristina takes a deep breath, and Alexis says, have a seat. She’s going through a lot. Internally, externally, the hormones are at work. They’re working for the baby and they’re working for Kristina’s hair, she might add. And she’s emotional. TJ and Molly are also emotional. She’s sure they meant well. Would Kristina like her to talk to them? Kristina says, yes, she would. She feels something and cringes, clutching her stomach, and says, guess who just woke up? Alexis says, the baby, and Kristina says, they can really stretch out and then, pow. Alexis says, that’s what they do, and Kristina says, that hurt. Her baby has a real kick. She gets up.

Alexis sits in Kristina’s chair, while Kristina stands in front of her. Alexis feels Kristina’s bump and says, whoa. She wasn’t kidding. Kristina says, funny. It was so nice when it was little butterflies and flutters. Now it’s a totally different ballgame. It’s like a soccer game. Alexis says, Kristina was just like that. She kicked so hard, Alexis thought she was going to leave bruises. Kristina says, really? Maybe the baby takes after her.

Molly tells TJ, it’s a little late for buyer’s remorse. They made a decision to trust her sister, and she for one intends to do that. She’s got to go. She’s got a deposition. He says he doesn’t want to fight. It’s just the two of them, right? He wants this to be the best thing that’s ever happened to them. She says, her too. You, me, and baby makes three, right? They kiss and she leaves for work, but neither of them look like this is the best thing ever.

The reception nurse says, if Elizabeth wants one of the cupcakes, she’d better get to the breakroom, because they’re going fast. And Amy said to be sure and thank her son. What a sweetheart. Elizabeth thanks her and says she will. The nurse leaves and Elizabeth goes behind the desk. She makes a call and asks for the counselor’s office… This is Aiden Webber’s mom. She needs to make an appointment.

Scotty tells Lucy that he’s sorry, but the numbers don’t lie. Maxie says she knows Lucy gives Deception her all. Maybe at times, too much of her all, but she’s not trying to minimize Lucy’s commitment to Deception or her accomplishments. She’s just trying to remind Lucy that Deception is not only hers. It’s not only Maxie’s. It’s not only Brook’s or Sasha’s or Tracy’s, for that matter. They’re all rooting for it to succeed. But in order to gain success, they have to sell, and she’s the wrong salesperson. Lucy shrugs and says, okay. But what Maxie is forgetting is, they don’t have Sasha and Blaze’s uber controlling mommy won’t let Blaze pitch, so she’s all they’ve got. There is nobody else. Maxie says, well, there is one other person.

Curtis tells Portia, there will be no more threats from Selina Wu. He handled it. She says she guesses the only real decision now is how he’s going to split his time and his focus. This is going to be a major project. He says, no question, and she says, and travel. He says he’s in charge. He can set his own schedule. Are there any more objections? He holds out his hand, and she puts hers in it. She says, just one that she can think of. She’s going to miss him. She really enjoyed him being home, having him all to herself. He says, and he doesn’t want to be away too often or too far from her either, but he believes in this project. He knows he can make it happen and, in the process, build something lasting that he can be proud of. She asks, how she could say no to that? It looks like he made his decision.

Nina tells Drew, let’s just say, there’s a little something in it for everybody. He gets access to Congressman McConkey, and she gets access to her daughter. He says he sees. Quid pro quo. She says, giving something to get something makes more sense than them trying to sabotage each other. He says, so she wants to cooperate, but cooperation takes trust. She says she trusts him to see his advantage in all of this, and he says he can definitely see that. His phone rings and he says, Curtis. Curtis says he hopes he’s not interrupting, and Drew says, absolutely not. He’s always got time for Curtis. Curtis thanks him and says he reviewed Drew’s offer. Drew says, and are they doing this? and Curtis says he’s in.

Tomorrow, Willow tells Michael that she’s starting to wonder if she’s doing it for the wrong reasons; Lucy thinks maybe a screentest was in order; Tracy tells Sasha that after lunch, she has a request; and Brook asks someone to go easy on her.

May 1, 2023 – Anna and Holly Head For Greenland, Gary Is An Awful Person With a Man Bun On Deck, Carl Panic Attacks Himself Into the Hospital & First

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

A huge crate comes into the warehouse, and a guy we’ll just call Mr. P tells a guard to bring in the others, but Sonny says, not yet. Last time he did something for Pikeman, he was ambushed at his own warehouse. Let’s talk about that.

Somewhere in Greenland. Obrecht looks at some slides, and Victor comes in, since he won’t let her work in peace. I’m not sure how he expects anyone to get anything done when he’s interrupting them all the time. He asks her to give him some good news, and she says, the antigen is sound. He asks why she doesn’t sound more upbeat about it, and she says, the antidote is uncertain and you won’t stop bugging my ass. Without it, those he has marked for survival may perish. A significant roadblock, no? He says, that’s the thing about roadblocks. You just have to find your way around them, and he has complete faith she can do just that. She says she can find workarounds, but these things take time. He says, that’s the one thing none of them have, especially not her great niece Willow.

Outside, a guard says, let’s go back, and the other says, sounds good to him. As they’re about to leave, the phone Valentin dropped starts to ring, and one guard asks if the other heard that. Valentin pops out from behind the rock, and they tell him, don’t move.

Martin meets Nina at the MetroCourt, and she thanks him for coming straight from the airport. How is his mom? He says, his mom is high-spirited and happy, and thanks her for asking. He just wishes he could say the same thing as for his sister. Nina says, she must be going through it. Nina also has someone she loves trapped on the Haunted Star, and it’s been non-stop fear. Martin says, Laura hasn’t answered any of his calls today. He’s going over to her place after they take care of business. That being said, what was so important that Nina had to see him the minute he landed? She says she asked him to inform the SEC about Carly and Drew’s insider trading, and he says, what of it? She says she needs him to call it off.

Carly goes back to the Quartermaine mansion, and Michael lets her in. She hugs him, and says she feels awful for ruining Willow’s big night. He says he and Willow are married; tonight is far from ruined. Besides, it’s not her fault; it’s Ned’s fault. She asks if Ned actually admitted turning them in, and Michael says, of course (🍷) not, but if it wasn’t Ned, who would have gone to the SEC?

Martin tells Nina that the SEC isn’t Wyndham’s. They don’t have a return policy on criminal behavior. She says, that’s what she figured, but she thought she’d ask, and he says, now it’s his turn. What’s with the second thoughts? She says, there are just some things she hadn’t fully considered with regard to potential fallout. He says, that might be, but he’s sorry. This is a done deal. She says, this could be a lot of worrying for nothing. There’s no guarantee the SEC is going to act on the anonymous tip that he left anytime soon, or at all. He says, actually, he thinks she’ll find the government has exceeded their expectations. He got a call from a friend of his about Carly. She was there at the police station tonight, being interviewed by the SEC.

Mr. P says, Pikeman was alarmed and dismayed to hear about the attempt on Sonny’s life, and they want to assure him, they’d never be party… Sonny says he knows Pikeman wasn’t behind the shooter. He confirmed their lack of involvement. Brick says, the shooter was untraceable. No fingerprints or DNA in any database. Mr. P says, so a professional, and Brick says, of a specific kind. He’s had military training, probably special ops. Sonny says, that’s not the kind of personnel he deals with, which leads him to believe he was just a means to an end. So whoever tried to kill him, did it to screw with Pikeman.

Anna says, Jordan is going to run interference for them long enough to keep the WSB at bay, and Holly says, Robert should be here any minute to help them hammer this out. The WSB absolutely cannot find out that Victor may be about to deploy a biological weapon on the world. Scotty walks in and says, that’s not their decision to make.

A guard asks, who else is here with Valentin? but Valentin says he’s here alone. The guard asks who he is, and he says he’s Valentin Cassadine. He’s here to see his father.

Holly says she doesn’t know what Scotty thinks he heard, and Scotty says, she seems to have made a miraculous recovery for someone who was burned up in a fire. There’s no scars or anything. If the two of them think they’re going to sacrifice his girlfriend, they’ve got another guess coming. Robert comes in, and tells them, keep it down. He could hear them all the way down the hall. Scotty asks if Robert is in cahoots with them as well, and Anna says, Scotty is operating under the misapprehension that they don’t want Liesl rescued. Robert says, as usual, Scotty has it all backward, and Scotty says, does he? He overheard Drew a while ago, talking about how Robert is withholding some information… Anna asks how long he’s been listening in, and Holly says, Jordan just left ten minutes ago. Anna says, he hasn’t done anything, has he? and Robert says, please tell him that Scotty hasn’t made contact with the WSB.

Obrecht tells Victor, don’t dare threaten Willow. Willow is her family, her great niece. She needs Obrecht’s help. Victor says he’s not threatening anyone; he’s just stating facts. The longer it takes her to prove the efficacy of the antidote, the less time her niece has to undergo a lifesaving procedure. She asks if she has his word he’ll release her if she completes the project (like his word means something), and he says, there’s only one way to find out. Do her job. A guard tells Victor that someone claiming to be his son is on the island, and Victor says he wants to speak to them. The guard radios that Victor wants to speak to the intruder, and Valentin says, hello, dad. Victor says, bring him here. Now.

Scotty says, news flash for Robert. After Ashford left, what he did or didn’t do is none of Robert’s business. Anna says, whether Scotty believes them or not, they’re all working toward the same outcome. So he needs to tell them if he relayed any information he heard to the WSB. Scotty says he doesn’t think they’re all working for the same outcome, but just to be on the level with them, he hasn’t said anything to anybody… yet. Anna says, he does understand people’s lives are at stake, and he says, how dare she say that to him? Liesl’s being held by a madman who wants to burn down the world. Robert says, they’re all working hard… Scotty says, at what? They have information that they could pass along to the WSB, and they can take out Victor. Now they’ve got the Commissioner working for them. None of this makes any sense to him. Holly slips out of the room, and Scotty says, Liesl’s done some pretty horrible things in her day, but he won’t let her be collateral damage for Anna and Robert. Anna tells him, just listen… but he says, save it. Because you know what? If they don’t tell the WSB, he sure as hell will.

Nina asks if Martin is telling her that Carly was officially questioned. She’s kind of shocked that the SEC acts so quickly. Martin says, so is he (me too!). Turns out the government is flat-footed and backlogged in everything but insider trading. That, and alimony payments. Just miss a couple of those suckers, and see what happens. Then again, it probably has more to do with his herd of ex-wives than it does with the government. Nina asks, what’s next with Carly and Drew? and Martin says, doubtless, Carly will face some sort of investigation, as will Drew. He’s sorry. At this point, it’s in the attorney’s hands. Now if there’s nothing else he can do for her, he’d like to go visit his sister. She thanks him, and he says he understands she’s worried, but there’s no point in second-guessing anything. She didn’t incite Drew or Carly to do anything. If there was insider trading, they did it themselves. All she did was report it. He says, goodnight, and leaves.

Michael brings Carly into the living room, and Willow says, they were so worried about her. Carly says she’s sorry the whole situation with the SEC overshadowed Willow’s wedding, but Willow says, the wedding was over. She’s just glad the police didn’t hold Carly longer, and that Drew is safe. Carly says, Sonny showed up and told the SEC that Drew was on a plane to Maui, and it did buy them some time. She’s no fan of Sonny’s, but she’s grateful he showed up when he did. Willow says, as far as she’s concerned, that’s proof they’re still important to him, and Carly looks at Michael. That’s right, Michael. Put Sonny away, and there will be no more stepping in to help when you need a weird favor.

Sonny tells Mr. P, seems to him, someone had a vested interest in preventing the shipment. So he has to wonder if that has something to do with what’s in the cargo. Mr. P says, that was a third party trying to stop them. He doesn’t see why the contents of the shipment is relevant. Sonny says, somebody tried to take his life. Mr. P doesn’t think that’s relevant? He had the assumption they were shipping weapons. Now he’s beginning to think they’re moving something bigger than guns. Mr. P says, they were under the impression Sonny wanted to minimize his involvement. Provide storage and facilitate shipping only. Sonny says, his impression’s wrong, and Mr. P signals to his man who picks up a crowbar, and opens the crate. Lousy spy Dex looks at the camera he hid. Brick moves some of the packing material around, and says, what the…? He tells Sonny, these are some of the world’s most powerful explosives, and Sonny asks, how powerful? Brick says, one brick could take out an entire city block. He steps aside with Sonny, and tells him, that stuff is in high demand. It’s very hard to get. People like it because it’s malleable and waterproof, and a little goes a long, long way. The US military keeps it under tight control; real tight. Sonny tells Mr. P, if this is the cargo they’re sending through his docks, he’s surprised more people didn’t take shots at it, and Mr. P tells Sonny, what can he say? Great rewards come with high risks. Sonny asks what fortune cookie he got that from says, this is something he’s not understanding. He feels like he’s taking all the risks.

Carly says, putting aside her situation with Sonny, she knows he’s worried about both of them, and Michael says he thinks the most important thing right now is to bring Liesl home safe and sound so she can be a bone marrow donor for Willow. And Drew is the one making that happen; not his dad. Willow says, Sonny decoyed the SEC to give Drew time to go after Liesl, you moron. Doesn’t that count for something?

Mr. P says, in regard to what’s in the crates, that information is tightly controlled. Leaks are very rare, and when they occur, those involved are dealt with swiftly. Are they going forward or not? Sonny adjusts his tie and says, Pikeman can use his docks this time, but not again. Not until they renegotiate the deal. By renegotiating the deal, he means he wants information on who’s behind the ambush. Mr. P says, understood, and tells his men to close the crate. Sonny thanks Brick for taking care of the Drew situation, and Brick says, his pleasure. Sonny asks if Brick can take care of the rest here. Nina’s waiting for him, and Obrecht’s missing. Brick says he’s got Sonny, and Sonny says he appreciates it. He tells Mr. P that his associate will take charge of the shipment from here, and calls Dex over. He says, Dex just needs to make sure the cash exchange goes smoothly. We see the camera recording them.

Victor snatches the walkie from his guard, and says, once they’ve brought him his son, check on their guests they left aboard the Haunted Star. Obrecht says, what an intriguing turn of events. But of course (🍷) he’s the man who thinks of everything. She’s sure he thought of his son showing up. He tells a guard to conduct a thorough search. There’s no way his son came here alone.

The guards move Valentin along, and behind the rock, Curtis says, there’s only one way to tell if it’s safe for them to move. He draws his gun, and comes out, Drew motioning for Laura to stay put.

Robert says, they can’t have Scotty rushing off to the WSB with what he just heard, but Scotty says, he doesn’t need their permission. Anna says, he has to understand, they have their reasons, and he says he’s all ears. She says, first of all, they don’t have incontrovertible proof, and he says he thinks he’ll just give the WSB a little call, taking out his phone. Anna says, if he makes that call… when Holly suddenly puts a cloth over Scotty’s mouth and nose, and he passes out. Holly smiles.

Mr. P hands Brick a briefcase, and says, it’s all in there. Brick says, they’re going to count it to be sure, and passes it to Dex. Dex opens the case, and Mr. P says, the last thing Pikeman would do is cheat Mr. Corinthos. They’re hoping this is the beginning of what will be a profitable relationship. Brick says, that will be up to Mr. Corinthos, and Mr. P says, deals this profitable aren’t easy to come by. Mr. Corinthos will find his affiliation with Pikeman will be life changing.

Michael says he sees Sonny is making an effort, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be held accountable for his actions in the past. Carly asks if they can’t just focus on the future, or try to, and Michael asks, what happened at the police station? Carly says she knows the government has frozen Aurora’s accounts and assets, and Michael says, damn it, Ned. Although he shouldn’t be surprised Ned’s games impacted the family business. What he can never forgive is Ned hurting Carly and Drew in the process. Willow asks if he really believes Ned would hurt them this way. He’s always been so kind. Michael says, Ned is a Quartermaine. He always puts ELQ ahead of everything else. He gets that it’s hard for Willow to see that; she always sees the best in everybody. She says, not always.

Nina walks into Pizzulo’s, and tells Kevin that Sonny’s expecting her.  He opens Sonny’s office door, and she goes in. She and Sonny kiss, and Sonny says, sorry to call her down here, but he needed to talk to someone. She says, tell her about the wedding, but he says he’s not going to. He doesn’t want her to be sad, but she says she wants to hear about it. How was Willow? He says, she looked beautiful, a vision, and Nina says she knew Willow would be. Everything wasn’t too much for her? He says, she did great. Nina should have seen the kids. She says she’s sure Wiley was very handsome. How did Donna and Avery do as flower girls? He says, terrible… Just kidding. She should have seen Baby Amelia; she had this pretty little dress on. He took pictures like she wanted. She thanks him, and says she’s glad Willow had a perfect day. He says, it wasn’t quite perfect, and she says, it was too much for Willow, wasn’t it? What happened? He says, no. Some agent from the SEC hauled Carly into the PCPD for colluding with Drew on insider trading. Nina flashes back to being on the phone with Martin, and saying she hasn’t changed her mind; just the opposite. She wants him to go all out and expose Drew and Carly for insider trading. She says, it happened at the wedding? and Sonny says, the good news is, they only held her a few hours. She asks if he thinks that’s the end of it, but he says, no, not for Carly or for Drew. The SEC is trying to find him now. She asks if Drew wasn’t at the wedding, and Sonny says, she hasn’t heard yet?

Curtis comes back, and says, the coast is clear. There’s no sign of any other guards. He thinks the best plan is to head to the Haunted Star. Laura says, but they don’t know how many guards Victor has on that ship, or scouring the rest of the island. They have to assume Victor knows Valentin didn’t come to the island by himself. Drew says he can go with Curtis to get everyone off that boat, and Curtis says he thinks the two-man approach is probably best. Drew asks if Curtis wants him to get Victor’s attention, and keep it off the Haunted Star, and Curtis says, exactly. Does he have any idea how to gain entry into the bunker? Laura says she knows how. (Of course <🍷> she does.) They give Victor exactly what he’s looking for – Valentin’s accomplice.

Robert gently settles Scotty into a chair, and asks Holly, sweetie pie, what have you done? She says she neutralized the threat; temporarily anyway. Anna says she thought she was getting through to him, but Holly says, he was literally dialing the phone to the WSB. They couldn’t take that chance. He’s got tunnel vison. He would literally do anything to save Obrecht. And doesn’t the Bureau strongly recommend against forming attachments? He says, that’s a rather cold calculation, and she thanks him. Anna asks how long he’ll be out, and Holly says, for a few hours. Then he’ll come around with a devil of a migraine. Anna says she’s concerned that Laura and the rest of the crew have no idea what Victor is actually planning, and Robert says, along with everyone else on that island. Holly says, which is why they have to get on the next flight to Greenland. Robert says he’s ready within the hour, and Anna says she’s ready now, hopping out of bed.

Laura says, Drew captures her and holds her prisoner, and gains entry by delivering her to Victor. Drew says, she’s here to rescue her grandsons. He can’t put her at Victor’s mercy, especially when he doesn’t have any. She says, he’s right, and she’s not going to rest until her grandsons are safe, and he’s not getting past those guards without her. Curtis says, he and Laura have been friends a long time; they’ve trusted each other with their lives. Trusting him with her life is one thing; trusting he can rescue her grandkids is another. He promises her, he won’t leave the Haunted Star without them. He’d rather die before he’d let anything happen to Trina or her boys. She says she believes that. So she’ll go with Drew, and keep Victor busy. They hear radio static coming toward them.

Robert asks what Anna is doing, and she says, taking care of business. It’s what she does. He says, it’s what they all do, what they’re best at, but she’s recuperating and has nothing to prove. She says she believes she has a score to settle with Victor, and he says, she’s one stubborn woman. Holly tells him, she would say brave, but she does have to ask. Is Anna sure she’s up for this? Anna says she has to see it through, and Robert asks if this is because of Valentin. Is this guy really worth the risk? Anna tells him, stop talking, and looks around for her clothes. She finds the bag with her stuff, and Robert asks, what about Scotty? Holly says, he’ll be unconscious for some time. He says, then he’ll just go home, pack a bag, and… Don’t even think it. Anna says, he has to stay here, and not just because there’s an unconscious man in her room, and Holly says she’s with Anna. If the WSB gets wind of what they’re doing, he can buy some time. And he can keep them posted on what’s happening in Port Charles. He says, it’s not that he doesn’t have faith in them – he does – but this is probably the most dangerous mission they’ve ever embarked on. Anna and Holly go on either side of him, each taking an arm, and walk him to the door. Holly says, she and Anna were both married to him, and they’ll survive. She gently pushes him into the hallway, and closes the door. She and Anna fist bump.

Victor tells Obrecht to get back to work, and she says, what’s the point? Valentin found him. It’s only a matter of time before others do too. He says, all the more reason to expedite her work, and she says, time is not the only impediment here. The stabilizers and some stuff I don’t understand are all insufficient. He says, in layman’s terms, what’s going on? and she says, in order to make this work, she needs preservatives, single dose vials. Otherwise, the antidote could be easily contaminated. He says, precisely why he has her here. He knows she can get past these problems. She says, even if she could solve the preservative problem, this endeavor of his is reckless, futile, doomed. He says he seems to recall her saying this could be a crowning scientific achievement, and she says, scientifically speaking, she still does, but it’s time to retreat, regroup. He says, if he stops the process now, who knows how long this will set him back. She says, he’s made a valiant effort. His brilliant plan just can’t come to fruition under these circumstances. He says he supposes she’s right. He just has to reevaluate part of his plan. She says, good, and thanks him for listening to her, but he says he hasn’t been bested. Not by his son or by any doubt. He still holds all the cards, including her.

Sonny says, there’s a possible location on Nina’s Aunt Liesl, and she asks where Victor took Obrecht. He says he can’t say, because he doesn’t know, but what he does know is, Drew went out to find her. That’s why he was missing from the wedding. He went out to find Nina’s aunt. He’s going to bring her home and save Willow’s life. Don’t worry about it. He threw the SEC off the scent. He got Brick to make Drew’s name appear on a manifest for a flight going from San Diego to Maui. They won’t know he’s not there until he doesn’t get off the plane. She says, but that’s just a temporary dodge. Eventually, the SEC will find out it’s a false lead, and be back on Drew’s trail. What if the SEC finds Drew before he can bring Aunt Liesl home? What does that mean for Willow? I’d say, there’s no way they’re going to Greenland, but since they show up on an anonymous tip before you hang up the phone, who knows?

Carly tells Willow, it’s all her fault. Drew did everything he could to discourage her from investing in Aurora, but she wouldn’t listen. Michael did too, but she was so determined to support them. Now look. It all came back to bite her. She lost her hotel, there’s an SEC investigation, Aurora’s assets have been frozen… Michael says, let’s forget about that. It can be dealt with later. He thinks they should call it a night. Carly says, of course (🍷). She agrees. She suggests she walk Willow to the gatehouse while Michael wraps things up here, and Willow asks Michael to find her bouquet. She wants to put it in water, and make it last a few more days. Carly tells him to make sure he gets the top of the wedding cake. They have to put it the freezer at the gatehouse, so they can eat it on their first wedding anniversary. True story. We did that, but since our freezer was so small, my in-laws kept it in theirs. The day before our anniversary, my husband went to pick it up, and his brother had eaten it the previous day, not knowing what it was. FYI, frozen cake does not taste that great after a year.

The guards come around to the rock again, when Laura comes limping out, wailing for help. They ask what she’s doing here, and she thanks them, saying, she needs help. She limps to them, and before they realize it, locks arms with the both of them, and says, now boys. Curtis and Drew rush the guards.

Brick takes the briefcase, and tells Dex that he can find his own way back. He goes to the door, turns around, and says, words of advice if Dex wants to stay in this business. Outside of Sonny, trust nobody. Dex says, not even him? and Brick says, especially not him, and leaves. Dex flashes back to hiding the camera when Brick was talking to Sonny on the phone.

Sonny tells Nina, Drew’s a smart guy. He’s sure Drew’s taken every precaution in covering his tracks. She says, but the government is resourceful. Drew is missing. Won’t that intensify everything? He says, probably so, and she says, this could interrupt the rescue mission; make it impossible for Drew to bring Aunt Liesl home. And Aunt Liesl is Willow’s last chance. Again I ask, why aren’t they actively looking for another donor? Sonny tells her, take it easy. He’s going to do everything he can to make sure Drew’s mission is successful. She thanks him, and says, surely the SEC has bigger fish to fry than Carly and Drew. He says he doesn’t know about that, and don’t call him Shirley. From his experience, the government prioritizes its money. He doesn’t know who tipped off the SEC, but they’re not only hurting Carly and Drew, they’re hurting Willow.

Carly brings in the wheelchair, and Willow says she never thought she’d get to the point she couldn’t walk to the gatehouse. Carly says, it’s been a long day for Willow, helping her into the chair, and Willow says, for Carly too, and not in a good way. Carly says, Diane’s an amazing lawyer. She’ll get it all figured out. Willow asks how she can be so sure, and Carly says she knows if they stick together as a family, they can make it through anything. They join hands.

Dex gets the camera, turns it off, and says, gotcha. He takes out his phone, and leaves the warehouse.

Michael’s phone dings, and he says, Dex. He sees a money and camera emoji, and flashes back to telling Dex, so Sonny draws the line at drugs, but is willing to ship weapons of war. Dex says, there’s only two reasons people want to ship under the cloak of darkness. Either what they’re shipping is dirty, or what they’re moving is being supplied to dirty people. This deal is extremely lucrative for Sonny, but extremely dicey. Michael says, this is how they bring Sonny down.

Holly lets Robert back in the room, and he says, Anna is in no shape to go charging off to Greenland. She says, perhaps he’s right, but she feels that they’re all in for a world of hurt if Victor’s plan is successful. Holly says, sorry to leave him with this mess, and he says he’s been cleaning up messes for the both of them for years now. He’s highly experienced at it. Anna says, and they love him for it. She and Holly kiss Robert on the cheek, and he smiles. They leave, and Scotty mumbles in his sleep.

Laura waits behind the rock, when Curtis and Drew come back dressed in the guards’ uniforms. Laura says, very convincing, and Curtis says he is going to bring them home safely. All of them. She says she knows he will. Good luck. He jets, and Drew asks if Laura is absolutely sure she wants to do this. She can still wait by the seaplane until he gives the all-clear. She says she knows he wants to protect her, but he can’t get past those guards without her. And once they get inside… they’ll think of something. He has to trust that she knows what she’s doing. He says, okay. Let’s do this. She says, from this point on, she’s his prisoner, and he ties her wrists in front. They head for the bunker, Drew following Laura with his gun drawn.

Victor says he’s sure it fits with Obrecht’s agenda for him to give up now, but his plan is moving ahead. He just has to speed up the timetable. She says, there’s no way to know if the antidote is viable without testing it on a human subject, and he says, that’s the plan. She says she refuses to use Spencer or Trina as her test subjects. She won’t risk cutting short a young, innocent life. He asks if she’d have qualms about using a more mature subject. Someone who’s decidedly less innocent. Valentin is brought in, and Victor says, perfect timing, son.

The text says, In Loving Memory of Nneka Garland, and we see photos.

Tomorrow, Dex asks Josslyn how Drew managed to avoid the SEC; Robert asks Elizabeth to trust him; and Valentin tells Victor to end this madness.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

2nd day of charter. In Colin’s interview, he says, Chase has a good work ethic, but in Gary’s interview, he says, Chase thinks he knows more than he does. There’s no way in hell he’d talk back to a superior that way. He’s been working on boats for 12 years. Shut it and listen to him. He tells Chase, the boat looks good, and asks Glenn if they’ll be sailing, but Glenn says, there’s not much breeze in the forecast. Glenn tells primary Kim that they’re not getting any wind, so there won’t be much sailing, and she says she understands. He suggests taking them out in the tender, and setting up the rope swing. Breakfast is served, and there’s smoked salmon eggs benedict that makes me want to cry. In Daisy’s interview, she says, the negative feedback makes her feel like she’s sh*t at her job. So she’s taking the opportunity to train the stews as much as she can, and make sure Glenn stays the f*** off her back. Ileisha ordered eel for making sushi, and realizes she’s received a live one. In her interview, she says, they’re like the snakes of the ocean, and freak her out. Growing up in the bush, a python once came through the window, and wrapped itself around the bath. She screamed for help, and her dad had to chop its head off. She was traumatized. Colin cuts the head off, and Lucy screams. She says, it’s horrible, and in the meantime on deck, Kim is saying, this is the most incredible experience.

The guests go swimming, and Daisy tells the stews to do the cabins. Gary finds that the eFoils (kind of like surfboards) haven’t been charged, and whines about things not being done. Chase asks if one of the stews can come on the tender to pour drinks for the guests, but Gary says he’s sure Chase can go by himself. Lucy tells Glenn that Daisy is sleeping, and she’s not making the call, so Glenn says he’ll make the call. He’s sending her with Chase. In Chase’s interview, he says, thank God he’s self-. The guests are expecting a certain standard. If this was his first time working on a boat and he needed to be taught, considering Gary’s leadership style, he’d be f***ed. When Daisy wakes up, Mads tells her that Lucy went on the tender, but fails to mention Glenn is the one who sent her. Colin and Gary get the eFoils going and ride them out to the tender, and when Daisy sees them, she gets doubly pissed off. In her interview, she says, the boys can f*** around, but the girls have to be with the guests at all times. She’s fuming.

The guests come back, and Lucy explains that Glenn told her to go. Glenn curses the fact there’s no wind, and Chase tells Mads that he’d like to get with Mads. Gary tells the guests that they’ll set up the rope swing for after lunch, and Lucy tells Mads about Chase. Mads says, that’s literally not happening, and in her interview, she says, it was one kiss bro; relax. It’s not that she’s not interested, but there are a lot of other guys on the boat, and she’s sure there are other options. She loves samples. In Alex’s interview, he says he typically dates models with daddy issues, and it hasn’t gone extremely well. Mads is new for him. She’s not high maintenance. Maybe it’s time to break the mold. Ileisha is running late, and in Daisy’s interview, she says, Ileisha is feeling the pressure, since she’s a little late with service, but the guests are so lovely, she doesn’t think they really care… which she’s grateful for. When I see the lunch chef has prepared, I’d willingly wait for it too. Anchor is home, and Daisy tells Ileisha that the guests very happy. The boat moves along, and Glenn asks Colin how the engine is doing. Colin says, it’s purring, and Gary tells Chase to take a break, but Chase says he’s got to set up the rope swing. Gary thinks it’s going to be a long season, and in his interview, he says, it doesn’t seem like anything he tells Chase matters. Daisy complains to Gary about Lucy leaving the boat, and in Gary’s interview, he says, it’s easier licking Daisy’s ass than disagreeing with her. He’s just going to tell her what she wants to hear.  They anchor at Grande Pervero, and Chase falls asleep in the crew mess. In Ileisha’s interview, she says she’s doing a bourbon tasting menu, and it’s best to serve something soft, smoky, salty with a heavy liquor. She’s making southern comfort food, and plans on knocking it out of the park with her presentation. Guest Justin (Guarini) tells the others to tell his children that he loves them before going on the rope swing. I have to say, he looks good; a lot better than when he was on American Idol. Guest Kelly lets go too early, and wails that she hurt her right boob.

Daisy says, they’re doing the table in orange and brown, and eww! Gary with his hair out of the man bun is worse than in the man bun. As far as I’m concerned, there are only two men in the world allowed to have man buns; Sensei Guillermo Gomez and Roger Howarth. Daisy tells Gary that he smells of tea tree and his fly is open. He asks why she’s looking. Primary Ian says, the attention to detail is amazing, and in the galley, Ileisha frets over the lamb being overcooked. She says, there’s always something. She can never do everything right. Glenn tells her not to let it get to her; she’s doing great, and he thinks it will be fine. Ian realizes they left a mess of clothes on the floor, and jets to the cabin to pick everything up, but Mads and Lucy already have it done. He says he came down to clean up their mess, and Lucy says, that’s their job. He says, it wasn’t intended, and reminds me of another true story. Someone broke a glass at my wedding reception, so I went back into the kitchen to get a broom to sweep it up. The caterers were like, um… that’s not your job. Kim says she’s warm, fuzzy, and happy inside, and Glenn tells Ileisha that it’s okay to be a perfectionist, but don’t let it break her flow. In Ileisha’s interview, she says she’s a people pleaser, and thinks it comes from her upbringing. She has survivor’s guilt because her mom lost two kids. It was ingrained in her to be the best version of herself, and puts pressure on herself to make sure people are really full and happy. Alex goes on anchor watch, and it starts to thunder. The wind picks up around 1 am, and Alex says, sh*t’s about to get weird. The wind is up to 15 knots by 2 am, there’s lightning, and things are rocking.

Glenn comes out to check what’s happening, and Alex says, there was no wind. He went out to put on the covers, and it suddenly came up. In Gary’s interview, he says, Alex has done everything right so far, but Glenn is quick to react after last season’s anchor drag. He thinks if Colin farted, Glenn would jump out of bed and run to the bridge. Glenn tells Alex to keep a close eye on it, and call him if there’s anything over 20 knots. Another amazing breakfast is served, and I think about the leftover Chinese food I had for dinner. the guests don’t want to leave, and Ian says he saw some cupboards they could hide in. Gary gets picky about something else with Chase, and says, it’s all about being prepared. In Chase’s interview, he says he can’t catch a break with Gary, who’s just looking for a reason to be upset, and in Gary’s interview, he says, Chase is trying to piss him off. The boat is docked, and Glenn radios the crew to say goodbye to the guests. Ian says, he can’t even express what an amazing adventure they’ve been given, and Kim says, they were blown away about the kindness they lead with. She gives Glenn the tip envelope, and says, it’s an honor to give them this. As they leave, Glenn blows the horn and everyone waves. Glenn tells the crew, well done. Daisy tells the stews, the more we get done today, the more we do tomorrow [sic]. I think she might be a little off, and the drinking hasn’t even started. Gary says, he came late, so he’s just being a fly on the wall when they go out. He asks who Colin has his eye on now that he’s single, and in Colin’s interview, he says, Gary’s had it easy for the last two seasons. The girls were fighting over him. For the first time, he has a little competition. Gary says he doesn’t cause drama; drama tends to find him. Ugh. He’s such an a-hole.

At the tip meeting, Glenn says, what a charter. A complete 180 from the first one. He tells Daisy that she did a good job; service was on point. It seems her team found their groove. She says she’s happy with the teamwork and communication, and in her interview, she says she’s elevated by the positive feedback. It’s what they needed, and she’s one step closer to a margarita. Glenn says, they’re good attitude makes a difference, and commends Colin on getting the engine running. He tells Ileisha that it’s not easy doing a meal like the bourbon tasting. Her food has been delicious, and she’s doing a great job. He’s glad Gary is back; it made a big difference. Gary says he’s happy with his team, Alex says he learned a lot, and Glenn says, there’s a reason they have a first officer. The tip is $23K, or 2250 euros each. In Ileisha’s interview, she says, yes and yes. She’ll take that sh*t. You’re welcome. They work for a hot minute, and Gary gets on the radio, saying, this is your captain speaking. It’s time to get f***ed up. The crew changes, and goes to an Italian restaurant. A few of them step away for a smoke, and Ileisha asks who Gary is crushing on. He says, everyone, and Ileisha asks who Chase’s type is – say it. After some poking and prodding, he admits it’s Mads. At the table, Alex says he spent 45 minutes getting ready, and Lucy says, he spends more time on his hair than she does. Gary comes back, and tells Lucy that red is her color. She tells him, f*** off, but Chase senses crying himself to sleep. In his interview, he says, f***ing Gary. He just admitted he liked Mads. He knows a snake when he sees a snake, and Gary is kind of an a-hole. Kind of?

Gary tries to kiss Daisy, but she’s not having it. In her interview, she says, she can’t read Gary. She sees how he behaves with her, and he does the same thing with every single girl. We flash back to Gary putting the moves on pretty much every stew he’s worked with, and Daisy says, it’s hard to take him seriously. Gary says, they can’t have that conversation when alcohol is involved, and the crew goes back to the boat. They get in the hot tub, and Mads tells Gary, touch her, and she’ll  knock his man bun out. Chase sits by himself for a while, then gets out of the jacuzzi and goes to bed. Mads and Gary are left with a falling asleep Alex, and Gary tells him that he’s going to drown. Somehow, Alex manages to get out of the tub, and toddles off. Gary says he thinks Mads is gorgeous. He tells her that both Chase and Alex said they liked her, but at the end of the day, they’re just deckhands, like he’s a huge step up. They kiss, Alex falls asleep as he’s eating in the crew mess, and everyone else is snoring.

Next time, charter three; high school d-bag vibes; in Daisy’s interview, she says she thinks Gary is f***ing with her; and a guest has an accident.

Summer House

Help. I’m watching this nonsense and I can’t turn away.

During the week, Lindsay meets with Gabby, and in Gabby’s interview, she says, when it comes to her type, it’s better for her to show than tell. She’s made a pdf of men who are possibilities, men she’s slept with, men she wants to sleep with, the ones she’s dated and matched with, and men she’s thought about. Boys for Gabby. Lindsay says, they’re all male models, but Gabby says, some of them have jobs. Ciara meets Rachel at a restaurant, and in her interview, she says she’s throwing a party for herself. She’s been in NYC a year, and thinks this Georgia peach is trying hard to become an apple. NYC has helped her come into adulthood, whether she wanted to or not. She tells Rachel that now when she leaves the city, she can’t wait to get back. I know this feeling. It’s like, ah, the not-so-sweet smell of the subway; I’m home. In her interview, Ciara says, it was hard to leave her friends in Atlanta. Her friends have been the light in her situation, and continue to shine. She needs quality friendships, and in NYC, you can have surface level bullsh*t. Ciara tells Rachel that Chris met Cassidy at a party, and fell off the face of the earth, but he’s supposed to come. I’m guessing Ciara must do okay with being on this show, since I don’t think her nursing salary paid to rent this space. The housemates trickle in, and in Lindsay’s interview, she says, it sucks being in a bad place with Danielle. There’s no reasoning with her. Their versions of being a friend are very different. Carl says he invited Cassidy, and Chris says he did too, but she’s ghosting him. He asked her to text him when she got home, but she didn’t, and he’s not playing that game. Carl says he can run interference, and Kyle says, what he lacks in height, he makes up for in volume. Paige tells Ciara that not everyone can move to NYC, and Craig asks how the dating is going, and she says she’s figuring it out. He says he would never leave his house. People in NYC go on dates with people they don’t know. Ciara says, that’s how dating works, and in Paige’s interview, she says, in South Carolina, everyone knows each other, and they’ve all dated. In NYC, a random man could be the love of your life. She doesn’t know if Craig can vibe in NYC; he might be scared. Yeah he might. Once when I went to a family party in Ohio, one of my young cousins pointed at me and said, she takes the subway at night. Carl tells Kyle and Chris that he picked up the ring; it’s exciting and surreal. Ciara asks everyone to gather around, and says she hates giving speeches. She thanks them for coming, and says, it means so much. She gets teary, and says she loves them. They’ve changed her life, and made NYC feel like home. She can’t wait for the next years. This committed bitch ain’t leaving. In her interview, she says, she’s also committing to herself and her journey. She’s figuring out who she is and fixing what needs to be fixed. She’s down for whatever ride God put her on. She opens a bottle of champagne.

On the way to the Hamptons, Kyle tells Andrea that there’s no Ciara or Amanda this weekend. Andrea says his girlfriend Lexi is coming, but he’s sad Amanda won’t be there. Kyle says, she was very torn, but the dogs got spayed two days ago. Andrea says, she’s doing her mommy job, and getting ready for the real thing. Kyle says he got a call from Lindsay that Carl was in the hospital last night. He calls her, and she says, they went to a concert, and he had his arms around her from behind. He suddenly said he needed to sit, and grabbed her. His legs were wobbling, and he said he couldn’t feel them. She got him to the infirmary, and they said his blood pressure and heart rate were so low, they were sending him the ER. He was discharged two hours ago, and now he’s napping. In Kyle’s interview, he says, Carl texted him from the hospital, and thought it was too much caffeine and Red Bull, but he thinks there are other things going on. Been there, done that. We flash back to Kyle sweating it out before he proposed to Amanda, and he says, Carl knows the proposal is upon them, he fainted, and now he’s in the hospital  freaking out. Lindsay says, they’ll either be there later tonight or first thing in the morning. Kyle tells her, no pressure, and in his interview, he says, only he and Chris know. He’s trying bottle this secret as best he can.

In Danielle’s interview, she says, tonight was inspired by Chris. They’re having Latino night. She’s making empanadas like her mom does, and when you make food close to home, it’s like offering a piece of yourself. In Paige’s interview, she says, no one on the planet doesn’t get excited when Andrea shows up. You don’t know what he’s saying, but he smiles and he’s good looking. She’s glad he’s in love; she hates seeing him cry. It’s against their religion for him to cry. Kyle relays the message about Carl going to the hospital and the drinking commences. Chris is now seeing Lauran, who Mya says she’s been trying to introduce him to since Kyle’s party. Mya demands to know the rating of their sexual encounter, and does a drumroll. Chris says, it was an eight, and everyone cheers.  Sam says, it’s a good number for a first time. Chris says, Danielle is making badass empanadas, and then they’re going to teach everyone to salsa. In Sam’s interview, she says, she and Kory have officially gone below the neck. She didn’t get the ick (I assume this is some immature way of saying she didn’t get laid), but she wants to do it again. Kyle calls Carl, and asks how much he thinks nerves, anxiety, and stress had to do with him ending up in the hospital. Carl says, it was a big part. He’s trying to pull off the surprise of the century. Then he’s bringing in Lindsay’s parents and friends. Kyle says, tomorrow is the big day, and Carl says he thinks some rest will make it better. He had to get it out of his system before getting down on one knee.

Sam says Danielle has outdone herself; everything looks beautiful. Danielle thanks Chris for helping, and has everyone hold up their empanadas for her mom. They do, and Danielle takes a photo. She says she’s enjoyed the summer with Chris there. He brought her Hispanic side out. She hasn’t really shared that, and pushed down that part of her persona because she wanted to succeed. Being in finance, she was around white people, and Gabby says she can identify. She grew up around white people and people of color who weren’t interested in Black girls. She thought she could only be attractive to someone who had a predilection for Black girls. Mya says she always claimed she was an acquired taste, and Danielle says, it’s taken a while to celebrate that side of her and not repress it. Chris says he feels her, and when they met, he felt she was his hermana, his sister. They had a connection. Danielle says she’s happy when the group has these moments, when they do stuff together. Family is about sharing. In Danielle’s interview, she says she feels for the first time in a long time she’s been heard. She’s being her true self, not her Hamptons self; Danielle Rivera, Puerto Rican. They move to another room, and Chris teaches them to salsa. Kyle tells Chris that he talked to Carl, and he looks good. The day before he proposed to Amanda, he was feverish, and recognizes this. Chris asks if he thinks Carl is having second thoughts, but Kyle says he doesn’t think so. Although he thinks Carl would love for Lindsay to be on good terms with her best friend. It’s weighing on him.

In the morning, despite everyone looking like they’re hella hung over, Kory and Kyle go to the gym. Mya says she wants to make the house an all-inclusive resort. She wants to do a boozy brunch. Carl and Lindsay arrive, and there are lots of hugs for Carl. He says he feels rested and better. It was a combination of dehydration, exhaustion, and stress. Lindsay tells the story again, and in Carl’s interview, he says he panic attacked himself into the hospital. Another reminder of how beautiful Lindsay is, is that she slept with him the entire time. And she doesn’t know what’s about to happen. On a whiteboard, Mya writes, Myadani Bottomless Brunch, and in Paige’s interview, she says, if there’s a whiteboard around, Mya will use it. Andrea’s girlfriend Lexi comes in next, and Kyle says, they have a bonfire planned for later, and the attire is elevated chic. For whatever stupid reason, Andrea says he wants to be roasted, and they ask a bunch of inappropriate sex questions. Chris asks what it’s like having Lexi here with Paige at the table.

Lexi says, it’s not like she doesn’t know they slept together, and Paige says, it was a fling, and she never wants Lexi to feel uncomfortable. Have brunch manners. Sam says she’s going to make out with Kory, and Gabby says she loves new love. Lexi talks with Lindsay and Carl, and asks how long they’ve known each other, and Lindsay says, since summer 2017. Lexi asks if there was always an attraction, and Carl says, for sure, and we flash back to Carl saying, she’s like a sister. Lindsay asks how Lexi felt when Andrea was trying win her back, and Lexi says she blocked him, but literally every weekend, she would run into him. He’d pour his heart out, so she decided to give him a chance. She starts to get weepy, and says, it was harsh of her to do to someone she loved so much. Andrea says, it was intense, and Lexi says she’s happy they found their way back to each other. Andrea says, it was his fault, and I hope these two are a good influence on the babies in the house. I know. It’s asking a lot. Mya asks, what’s going on with Sam and Kory? and Sam says, they’ve talked about liking each other in a cute way, but they haven’t talked about what happens after the summer. Have they considered passing notes in the hallway? Mya says, in the grand scheme is where it gets complicated. Carl and Lindsay are going to get firewood, but not really. In Carl’s interview, he says, his plan is perfect. Lindsay thinks they’re getting firewood, but she’s going to realize quickly they’re not doing a fire. He can’t wait for this to be over; it’s stressful. Kyle tells him to knock it out of the park.

Lindsay and Carl head for the beach, and at the house, Mya asks Sam if she wants to be exclusive, and Sam says she’d be so in it. Mya says she thinks Carl is going to propose next weekend, and Danielle asks if she’s talking out of her ass. Mya says she listens to every conversation, and infers things. She saw him talking to Kyle and Chris at Ciara’s party, and thinks he’s planning the engagement for next weekend. Danielle says, then she’d rather not come next weekend, and they can live f***ing happily ever after. Alrighty then.

Carl leads Lindsay to a spot on the beach where there’s a blanket spread out for an upscale picnic. Carl says, they haven’t had a chance to break away from the group and do something special. She asks if she should sit, but he tells her to stand for now, and gets down on one knee. He says, since the day they met seven years ago, he knew she’d be someone special in his life. She’s his person, his best friend, and his lover. He’s excited to build a future with her. She says she loves him so much, and he asks her to marry him. She says, a thousand times yes, and there are kisses and I love yous. He puts the ring on her finger, and I wonder if they keep forgetting each other’s name, since they only seem to call each other babe.

Next time, Paige feels that she gets notoriously the most drunk on Labor Day weekend; Sam asks Kory what he’d like the plan to be; Gabby goes on a date; Danielle gets upset about Carl not telling her about the pending proposal; and Carl doesn’t want a camera following him.

🤸🏾 Tra-La It’s May…

Stop by tomorrow for soap and those awful New Jersey Housewives. Until then, stay safe, stay never forgetting where you came from, and stay remembering your brunch manners.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At Charlie’s, Finn tells Anna, the lab rans tests, and it was a rare case of alienitus. They quarantined the patient until last night, when his chest burst open, and out crawled a big slimy alien. Anna says, interesting, and he says, it turned out the alien was friendly, so he gave it a bath, named it E.T., and he’s bringing it home to Violet. Anna says, an alien? He says, let him guess. Her mind is on Holly. She says, you know the word frenemy? It’s cliché, but it pretty accurately describes their relationship. They were rivals and allies. They admired each other, but annoyed each other. Holly could run a con like no one else; even better than her. She had a lighter touch, and Anna was a little jealous. She knew Holly was on the other side of the world, but expected her to turn up there again one day. It’s not going to happen now. Finn says he’s sorry. Sometimes the best response to a sudden loss is a life affirming decision. She asks if he has something in mind, and he says he does.

Sasha lies on her bed, face down, fully clothed. The phone rings, and Maxie asks where she is. Don’t tell her that Sasha forgot about the photoshoot. The entire crew is waiting, and there’s no face of Deception for the cover. Sasha says she’ll be right there, and Maxie says she has five minutes, or she’s finding another model. Lulu comes to see Maxie, along with Charlotte. She asks how it’s going, and Maxie says, Sasha is late, the wardrobe mistress isn’t there, and the coffee is cold. The shoot is going to implode, and take her career with it.

Laura sits at Jax’s table at the MetroCourt, and tells him that she just came from the fundraiser breakfast. She found out he made a generous donation. He says sorry he couldn’t be there in person, but he has a meeting of his own. He’s waiting for Nina, but he’s all ears until she gets there. How did it go? She says, better than expected, thanks to him, and a couple of other generous donations. He says he’s sure her presence has something to do with the success. He’s grateful for her hard work and integrity. She says she’s only as good as the people she represents, and he tells her, don’t be modest. She’s not afraid to tell the truth, and has an amazing ability to inspire others. She says, one can only hope.

Sasha gets in the elevator, and Nina says, tough morning? Sasha says she has no idea, but Nina says, actually, she thinks she does.

Valentin meets Martin at the MetroCourt, and asks if Martin has good news. Martin thinks he’ll be well pleased at the progress. He’s acquired numerous shares from Quartermaines spread far and wide. Valentin says he doesn’t have controlling interest yet, and Martin says, not yet. Valentin says, not yet, but he’s closer than the Quartermaines realize.

Chase asks how he can help Carly, and she tells him that she’s pretty sure he’s aware that Willow and Michael got married. He says she must be very happy, and she says she regrets what the decision cost him.

Diane asks where Michael has been, and he says he was at Turning Woods; his dad was visiting Mike. She asks how Mike is doing, and he says, not great. They want to put in a feeding tube, and his dad is trying to decide. She says she’s sure he was a comfort to Sonny; however, moving forward his priority needs to be Wiley. He needs to be calm, collected, and focused. Taking away a child from its mother is difficult under the best circumstances, even a mother as awful as Nelle. He says, things may have gotten easier, and she asks, how? Willow walks in, and asks Michael how it went at Turning Woods. Michael says, rough; her? She says, the same. Diane says, what a gorgeous ring. One might say spectacular. Michael says it belonged to his great-grandmother, and now it belongs to his wife. He and Willow got married last night.

Finn says he and Anna have talked about it; it’s time to do something about it. She says, do something about what? and he says, the thing where people say I do. They can at least pick a date, and send invitations out. She says, after Violet’s party, he’s in the mood for another, and he says he’s learned to appreciate a good celebration. She tells him, he’s turning into a romantic, and he asks if that’s a good thing. She says, it’s a great thing. She looks at her phone, and says, August maybe. It gives them time to plan, and time to figure out what to wear. He says, August is perfect, and they almost kiss, but Robert interrupts. He says, isn’t this cozy? They’re acting like nothing happened, when they know something did. He tells Anna, stop running around telling people what he can and can’t be told.

Chase tells Carly that he doubts Michael wants to see him, but let Michael know he hopes they give Wiley the life he deserves. She says, that’s the plan. The custody hearing is today. He asks why she’s there instead of in court, and she says, there’s someone she needs to thank.

Nina says Sasha just broke up with Michael, and Sasha says Nina was right about her. She’s not good enough. Nina thinks the person Sasha hurt the most is herself. Sasha tells her, don’t be nice, not today, but Nina says Sasha put in the knife and she doesn’t feel like twisting it. She hopes Sasha finds peace and love, and hopes the pain she’s in is gone forever. Sasha gets out of the elevator, and Nina looks puzzled.

Maxie screams for the wardrobe mistress, and someone hands her hot coffee. Lulu says Maxie will be brilliant. She works best in a crisis. Maxie says she loves Lulu, but her pep talk isn’t working. This was her moment in the spotlight; taking a tired company from the 90s and turning it into a power brand. Does Lulu see a power brand happening? What she sees are Maxie’s dreams and plans disintegrating. Sasha comes in, and Charlotte says she thought Sasha was a model; she looks terrible. Lulu tells her to apologize, but Sasha says, Charlotte is just telling it how she sees it. Maxie asks if Sasha wants to tank Deception before it even launches, and tells the makeup artist to make his magic. Charlotte asks if she can watch, and Lulu asks if it’s okay. Sasha says, it’s time to turn this toad into a swan, and leaves with the makeup artist. Lulu tells Maxie, nothing but a straight road ahead, and Maxie says, until the next curve. She wanted to be boss, and all she can do is think of what Nina would do. Nina walks in, and says, she just asked the person she trusted most – Maxie.

Finn realizes Robert is upset, but tells him, take it down a notch. Anna says, sit down, and asks Finn to get some coffee. Robert says he talked to Mac, who said she had suspicions. Why did Mac have to tell him, and not her? She says, the WSB is still looking for the reason the ship sank, and Robert says, his shelf life has expired, so he can’t be told? She says she has no evidence of foul play. When she finds some, he’ll be the first to know. He asks what she thinks. Has she seen discrepancies in the report that point to murder?

Nina says she saw Sasha, and came to offer moral support. Maxie appreciates it, but it only makes her more nervous. Lulu asks if Nina will do her a favor. Charlotte begged to be taken to the shoot before she meets Valentin, and Lulu is late for an Invader interview. She has a deadline, and asks if Nina would mind taking Charlotte. Nina says she’d be thrilled; she was headed there anyway. She tells Maxie, just for the record, no one knows how to manage a shoot like her. She didn’t leave Crimson to second guess herself. She left to be boss. She finally decided to be a superstar, and she is. Don’t give in. Those who play small aren’t stars, and never will be. Toughen up, get the job done, and be a star.

Jax tells Laura that he’s surprised Valentin didn’t fight harder for the estate. He could have dragged it out in court for years. Laura says, maybe he realized the Cassadine estate is both a blessing and a curse. Jax says, a valuable one, and she says, don’t worry. She’s sure Valentin will find a way to make money.

Valentin asks if Martin had any trouble, and Martin says, nothing they can’t overcome. Ned is preoccupied with Brook, and Michael has the custody battle. Speaking of which, he has to get to court for it. Valentin says, Drew is dead, and Jason has no interest, but what about the children? He asks Martin to look into who’s controlling their shares.

Diane says Willow is a brave woman. She married into both the Quartermaine and Corinthos families. She’s sure Willow is aware that as individuals, they’re all a bit difficult, but as a group, they’re fearless, intelligent, and never boring. And Michael is the best of the lot. Willow says she thinks so. Diane says she doesn’t know why she didn’t think it. Of course (🍷) they’re a perfect match, and not just for a courtroom stunt. She thinks they’ll be happy and better parents for Wiley. Let her know where they’re registered. Willow says she thinks she can speak for Michael. The only gift they need is knowing Wiley is safe from Nelle.

Carly tells Chase, she used to think people who were noble were stupid, that they were suckers. Until someone she loved and respected made a sacrifice for the sake of her child. She didn’t appreciate it at the time, until she realized their sacrifice changed everything. What they did made Michael’s life better. Chase hopes it works out that way for Wiley, and she says, her too. When the judge sees them, they’ll see two people who love Wiley, and would do anything to ensure he grows up in a loving safe home. So if he ever crosses paths with the person who made it happen, let them know she’ll always cherish their selfless actions. He says he will.

Charlotte tells Valentin, they put makeup on Sasha, and she looks beautiful. Valentin says, it sounds like she had fun, and Charlotte says she used to be mad at Sasha, but now she feels bad for her. She doesn’t think Sasha felt good, but she still took pictures. He says it’s good she has compassion. It’s not good to be angry and resentful. Charlotte thanks Nina, and Nina says she’ll see Charlotte again soon. If they ask nice, maybe her papa will let them have a girls night out. Laura and Jax come by, and Laura tells Charlotte, what a surprise, and asks for a hug. Nina tells Jax, sorry she’s late. She needed to make a special delivery. Jax says it’s good to see Laura, and she says him too, and thanks him again for his donation. She leaves, and Jax asks Nina what she wanted to talk to him about. She thanks him for providing the hand holding when she was worried about Nelle. He says, no thanks are required, and she says, but she can’t lean on him forever. It’s time to take control of her own life.

Maxie says everything is under control, and Lulu says Maxie would make an excellent general if she ever choses to join the Army. Sasha asks where she’s wanted, and Maxie says she’ll leave that up to the photographer. Lulu says, while they wait, can she ask come pre-photoshoot questions? Sasha says, like what? and Lulu says, nothing hard core. Her Invader audience would like to know what it’s like to launch a new business. Where does she imagine it’s going, and where does she see herself in five years? Sasha says she hasn’t thought that far ahead. She tries to take it one day at a time. She doesn’t know what tomorrow looks like, let alone five years from now. She starts to cry, and Maxie comes in. She asks what Lulu said to her, and Lulu says she was talking about the future. Maxie says the makeup artist probably left already. Give them a moment alone. She tells Sasha that Lulu shouldn’t have asked; Sasha probably has no idea how Chase fits into her future. Sasha says she and Chase aren’t together. Maxie says, she wants to help take care of Sasha’s personal life, but not today. Today, they’re businesswomen, and their future depends on the Deception launch. She has a crew who cost a fortune sitting around waiting. Sasha needs to pull herself together. She can have a cry afterward, and Maxie will hold her hand. Maxie gave up great career for this, and doesn’t want to regret it.

Carly sees Martin, and asks where his client is. Still sleeping under a rock? Martin doesn’t believe they’ve been formally introduced and introduces himself. She says she would say it’s a pleasure, but she’d be lying. He asks if she doesn’t believe everyone is entitled to a fair hearing and worthy representation. She says she believes in justice for those who deserve it. He says he couldn’t agree more, and she says she’ll have to tell her husband they have something in common. Her husband is Michael’s father. He does know Sonny Corinthos, doesn’t he?

Sasha dabs at her eyes, and flashes back to Michael berating her and Chase. Michael says he just has one question to start. How long has this been going on?

Anna tells Robert, she has no proof either way. Finn comes back, and Robert asks if Anna thinks Holly might still be alive. She says that’s exactly the reason why she didn’t tell him; he jumps to conclusions. If he thinks she’s doubting it, he’ll go chase ghosts like he always does. Robert tells Finn, once before they thought Holly was dead in a plane crash, but she’d been in a car crash. Then she tried to return to Port Charles to recover. Finn asks, for what reason? To face death again? Anna says, a ship went down; Holly isn’t the only one missing, and Robert says, there were discrepancies enough for Anna to discuss it with his brother. Which leads him to believe she’s not sure whether Holly is dead or not. Finn tells Robert not to get his hopes up, and Robert says, take heart. In the meantime, he has a call to make.

A woman comes into the dressing room, and Sasha says, tell Maxie she’ll be ready in a minute. The woman says she didn’t come for Maxie, and gives Sasha a vial of cocaine. She says, something to get through the shoot. Sasha says she doesn’t, and the woman says she doesn’t either, except for really tough days.

Chase sees Lulu, and asks if the photoshoot is over. Lulu says, Maxie gave everyone a break; she’s trying to salvage the day. He asks, what happened? and she says, Sasha was a mess. She overslept, was hungover, and can’t stop crying. He says, sorry, and she says, it’s too late for apologies. She thought he was a decent, but he was just good at hiding what a jerk he is. Maxie and Lucy put everything into this, and won’t just lose their investment, but their reputations. He asks what he can do, and she says, Sasha is in makeup. Tell her whatever he needs to, so they can move on.

Martin says he’s well-aware of Sonny’s history, and how those who displease him disappear. He’s sure Carly has been instructed on how not to make incriminating statements. She says she has no idea what he’s talking about. Her husband is a businessman like any other. He does have powerful connections though, and an ambitious lawyer could find them lucrative. Diane walks in with Michael and Willow. He says, Michael Corinthos and Willow Tate, and Willow says, it’s Corinthos now. Martin says, a sudden marriage before a court date; he’ll have to keep an eye on her. Diane says, who is she to stand in the way of a committed, stable union?

Valentin sees Laura sitting at his table. He asks to what he owes the pleasure, and she says she’s just checking in. How was the drop off? He says, without incident. Charlotte is in school, safe, and he’s going to pick her up to go riding. Laura is sure she’s thrilled, and he says, Lulu agreed to 50/50 custody. He appreciates whatever Laura said to her. She says he can thank his daughter. She ran away when she thought she’d be separated from him. He says he intended on letting her go for her own good, but he realized to Charlotte, it looked like abandonment, and he was afraid it would have the opposite effect. He was abandoned, and look what happened to him. He doesn’t want that for Charlotte. Laura says she doesn’t either. She persuaded Lulu to compromise for Charlotte’s sake. Don’t make her regret it.

Lulu tells Maxie that she sent Chase to talk to Sasha. Maxie asks if she thinks that will work, and Lulu says she thought anything he would say was an improvement on what they had to offer. It can’t get worse. Maxie says, Sasha is still in love with Michael. She blew up her life, and if she and Chase have a mutual meltdown, this is over.

Chase asks if it’s a bad day, and Sasha asks what he’s doing there. He says Carly came by to say how grateful she was for what they did. She asks if Carly admitted she knew, and he says, not in so many words. As hard as it’s been, Carly appreciates what she called their sacrifice. Sasha admits, she didn’t think it would be this hard, and he says, he didn’t either.

Nina tells Jax, she ran into Sasha. She’s not having a good morning, and Nina felt the need to comfort her. He says it doesn’t surprise him. Did she? She says she tried. She guesses Sasha is good. She dropped in on Deception, and Maxie was drowning in self-doubt, and she had the impulse to build Maxie’s confidence, and Charlotte still needs her. He says she’s like a second mother. She says, her point being, she told him that she didn’t want to go down that rabbit hole and look for her daughter. Denying her feelings didn’t help. He says, it’s not something you get over, and asks if she wants him to help find her child. She says, absolutely not.

In the courtroom, Diane asks what Carly said to Martin, and Carly says she was reminding him of who Michael’s father was. Diane says Carly can’t intimidate him. He’s going to do his level best to goad her, and show the judge how much she despises Nelle. He’s going to paint her as a domineering and controlling woman, who wants to wrest a son from his loving mother. Don’t let him. Martin comes in, and Diane says, underneath that southern charm is a shark ready for blood. Don’t forget. The judge arrives, and the bailiff says, the Honorable Judge Lowe is presiding, Willow asks Michael, where is Nelle? Everyone waits.

Finn says he’s never seen Robert so upset, and Anna says, he and Holly had a unique relationship. They’d fight and make up; she’d leave, and he’d go after her. He’s never stopped loving her. Finn says, that’s why Robert needs her to be alive, and she says she’s afraid he’ll lose himself in this desperate quest to find her. He asks if she thinks there’s a chance, but she says she doesn’t know. There’s always a question. Until her body is discovered, Holly isn’t gone.

Chase tells Sasha, when Michael is granted full custody, everything they did will be worth it. She says she’s been telling herself that, and he says, the truth is, Michael and Willow might never know the part they played, but they did a good thing. She says, he’s coping better than she is, and he asks if she’s kidding him. He could barely get out of bed. The Chief of Detectives called, looking for him. All he can thinks about is Willow’s smile and the sound of her voice. Sasha knows how he feels. She can’t get out of her own head, and now she’s going to relinquish her dream. He tells her, make the dream start happening today. She says, tell Maxie tell she’ll be right out. He leaves and she looks at herself in the mirror.

Laura says, it’s been proven Valentin isn’t a Cassadine, and he asks, what’s her point? She asks if Nikolas and Spencer are free of retribution. He says he’s not a fan of Nikolas, but he has no plans for that. They’re both safe. She says he’s been given a second chance. It’s rare, and right now he can decide who he wants to be. He says he won’t argue with that, and she says she hopes he uses it wisely, and becomes the man he was meant to be. He thanks her, and asks who that is exactly. She says, a man who puts his family first, before money and power. He asks if she thinks he could be that man, and she says, the question is, does he want to be?

Maxie tells Chase, Sasha needs to be at 100%; make that 200%. Is she okay? He says he thinks so, and she says, that doesn’t sound like 300%. He says he explained what matters, and she says it’s hard to believe he’s the same guy she thought he was; Lulu was right. Sasha comes out, and says, it’s time to make their dream come true with the face that launched a million sales for Deception. Maxie tells Chase, get out, and tells Sasha that she looks gorgeous. We see the makeup table, and the vial is empty. Brilliant of her to just leave it sitting there.

Nina tells Jax, she appreciates the offer, but she doesn’t need him or anyone else undertaking a journey that should be hers. If her daughter is out there, she’ll sure as hell find her herself.

On the phone in the hallway, Martin tells Nelle that he can’t stall any longer. Get here now. He goes back in, and thanks the judge, assuring him Nelle will be there soon, and sends her deepest apologies. Diane tells Michael and Willow not to get ahead of themselves. Michael asks what the best case is if Nelle doesn’t show, and she says, the judge already has the arguments. He could decide to rule in Michael’s favor if Nelle doesn’t show soon. Judge Lowe asks if Martin’s client is in the courthouse, and Martin says he’s sure she is. The judge says he has a busy calendar, and they’ve waited long enough.

Nelle dashes into the courtroom, wearing a wedding dress, and carrying a bouquet. She says she’s sorry she’s late. The most incredible thing happened. She shows everyone her ring.

On Monday, TJ tells Molly that they have to work on their life, Nelle introduces her new husband, Cyrus meets Ava, and Jordan tells Sonny to stay out of her investigation.

The Real Housewives of New York

Leah meets Dorinda, Sonja, and LuAnn, at a bench in the park. Elsewhere in the park, Sonja and Ramona meet for a walk. Tinsley goes to boxing training with instructor Mike. He asks how Tinsley is, and she says, good, but not great. He says, that’s better than last time, and we flash back to Tinsley weeping and overwhelmed, saying she wants to live her best life. She  tells him that she’s in a better place, and she’s single now. In her interview, she says, Mike isn’t easy to talk to. He forces her to fight with her fists and her words. She tells him there’s tension with Dorinda over nothing. Dorinda is saying Tinsley isn’t being open. Mike asks, where do they get these names from? In Tinsley’s interview, she says she doesn’t know where to go with Dorinda. She wants it to be pleasant, but Dorinda likes to fight. Mike asks if they had a fight, and what happened.

Dorinda tells LuAnn and Leah that she’s done with Tinsley. Tinsley is like a mint in her mouth; gone. In Leah’s interview, she says for someone Dorinda isn’t interested in, she spends a lot of time talking about Tinsley.

Tinsley tells Mike, they all jump in, and she can’t say anything. He tells her, he’s Dorito, and they’re going to box. Ha-ha! Loving Mike. He punches at Tinsley, and she cringes. He tells her, take it like a doormat. He asks why she’s unhappy, and she says she’s not. He wonders if that’s why she was crying the last time she was there, and she says she’s confused. She tells Mike, she’s done.

LuAnn tells Dorinda that Tinsley has an overbearing mother from the South, and she needs to be accepted for who she is.

Ramona tells Sonja, Dorinda is hard on Tinsley. She thinks something is going on with Dorinda, and Sonja suggests she’s jealous. In Sonja’s interview, she says, Tinsley is taken care of, and Rich took care of Dorinda. She misses that life. Ramona says, they’re all devoid of partners now, and Dorinda misses the past. Sonja says, when John tries to help Dorinda, she tells him she’s got this. It’s a different relationship, and her time with Richard was cut short. In Ramona’s interview, she says comparing Richard and John is like comparing apples and oranges. Richard graduated from Harvard, and she doesn’t know if John even graduated from anywhere.

Mike tells Tinsley that she has a down face. What’s the antidote? WTF does she want to do? Tinsley says she doesn’t know, but he says she’s known all along. She’s a legend. There will never be another Tinsdale. She says there isn’t one to begin with. Her name is Tinsley. I don’t think she gets his humor. She certainly doesn’t get that you have to hit back in boxing.

LuAnn visits Leah’s apartment. In Leah’s interview, she says she and LuAnn have shared similar obstacles, and are kindred spirits. LuAnn says she brought her food. She’s starving and thought Leah might be hungry. In LuAnn’s interview, a producer asks what she thinks of Leah’s apartment, and LuAnn asks if they really want to know, and laughs. She tells Leah, it’s really cool. Leah shows LuAnn around, and says, since Kier is only there half the time, she took all the closets. In her interview, LuAnn adds that she loves how humble Leah is. In Leah’s interview, she says, most people are impressed, unless they’re in the 1%. She’s not, and there’s no shame in that. It’s not about the size, it’s about the vibe. She says she heard LuAnn drank at the comedy show, and LuAnn says she thought it was water, and she was thirsty, but it was vodka. She took two sips or three, and went on stage. She was okay, but she never had a big problem. Except for falling into a bush on a crazy girls trip. We flash back to the gift that keeps on giving. LuAnn says she feels if she wants a drink at this point, she can. Leah says that’s how she feels too. For years, she didn’t drink because she’d been told it was death in a bottle, but she doesn’t believe it. She’s been in hell when she wasn’t drinking, with being over-medicated and in toxic relationships. In Leah’s interview, she says, you’re told you have no control, and it’s not empowering; it’s bullsh*t. It’s just a drink. What’s it going to do? We flash back to a naked Leah flinging tiki torches around, and yelling at Sonja. Leah tells LuAnn, she was in a different place when she stopped, and she’s done a lot of work on herself. LuAnn says she has to give herself a break. She’s been listening to herself, and it feels nice to give herself permission to say what she wants. She has a sense of control. In her interview, LuAnn says she lives moment by moment, and in that moment, she wanted vodka. It’s not a big deal. She’s taken off the life jacket, and she’s getting in the pool with the ladies. I used to work for Al-Anon, and I keep thinking of their pamphlet, A Merry-go-round Named Denial. LuAnn asks if Leah saw the Page Six article about Dorinda.

Sonja sees Dorinda on a bench in the park, and asks about the article. Dorinda brings it up on her phone, and it says she’s taking a break from long time boyfriend John. Dorinda wonders if Ramona planted it. In her interview, Dorinda says break-ups are terrible, but she had to do what was best for herself. Her expectation levels have grown, and she needs to find the right partner whose willing to be engaged that way. She tells Sonja there was no fight, but John feels bad because they love each other. She just feels like she’s grown so fast.

The article makes the rounds. LuAnn tells Leah, Dorinda needed John; he was there to pick up the pieces, and helped her at a bad time. She has nothing against him, but Dorinda feels like she’s outgrown him. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, it’s weird to find out about it on Page Six. In Leah’s interview, she says she knows more about Richard than she does about John. What does that say? In Sonya’s interview, she says, now Dorinda is single like the rest of them. In Ramona’s interview, she says she knew before Dorinda did. She’s not surprised. In Tinsley’s interview, she says, them finding out on Page Six, after Dorinda made such a big deal about sharing things makes her a hypocrite. Sonja tells Dorinda that they need to take care of themselves. Dorinda says she needs a house cat rather than one where, when the door opens, he dashes out. LuAnn thinks they need to do something to take Dorinda’s mind off of the breakup. She knows an apple picking place. In her interview, LuAnn says they need to take full advantage of the breakup, and forget the city for a day. She tells Leah that she needs a bigger coffee table.

The women get in a luxury van, and Ramona she’s excited for the trip. LuAnn says, it’s an orchard. They’re going to have lunch by the pumpkin patch, and there’s a corn maze, pumpkin picking, a hayride, and they’ll have a winery tasting later. There’s also a store that sells pies and apple cider donuts. It’s a perfect day for it. Ramona says, it’s gorgeous. In Sonya’s interview, she says she’s excited to be with the girls. She’s not excited to drink more wine though. She just wants to have a healthy day.

The van arrives at Weed Orchards and Winery. Tinsley says, it’s never too early for wine. It’s called breakfast wine, and it’s normal. Funny. I’ve never heard of it. Dorinda gets excited about the petting zoo. Ramona says only Tinsley would wear heels to an orchard. Dorinda brings out a glass that’s almost as big as she is, and says they’re just going to have one glass. In her interview, Sonja says she wasn’t of the mindset to drink, but she’s with her girls, so hell to the no. She’s not missing out. They have lunch, and Ramona toasts to good girlfriends. I’m guessing those girlfriends must be on some other show. Sonja takes pictures, and Ramona asks Dorinda what’s going on with John. Dorinda says she’s not the person that John met; she’s changed. Ramona says Dorinda was broken when they met. Dorinda says it’s been a good process. It made her reevaluate things. In her interview, she says, going through the process with the house flooding, and making the decision about John, she was able to mourn Richard for the first time. Hannah is out of the house, and she’s decided to be alone for the first time, and she’s okay with it. She tells the women, it’s not easy to open herself up to criticism, and Tinsley mumbles, it’s called sharing. In her interview, she calls bullsh*t. Tinsley tells Dorinda that saying she might get judged makes her a hypocrite, and Dorinda tells Tinsley, don’t comment. She has gum that’s lasted longer than Tinsley’s relationships. She calls Tinsley invisible, and in Ramona’s interview, she says, Dorinda has outbursts of anger, but her anger at Tinsley is the worst. Elyse wants them to say something nice about each other. In her interview, Ramona thinks Dorinda is using Tinsley as a punching bag to be so vicious, but she’s glad, since she doesn’t want it to happen to her. Nice. Dorinda makes fun of Tinsley crying, and Tinsley says Dorinda sounds like a bully and mean. In Leah’s interview, she says, if this is Dorinda when she’s not interested in Tinsley, what does Dorinda being interested in Tinsley look like? She tells Dorinda, they should be holding each other up, not bringing each other down, but Dorinda says she can’t deal with dumbness. I guess she can’t deal with a dictionary either, since I assume she means stupidity and not being mute. Tinsley says Dorinda is a bully, and Dorinda says, don’t be judging her. Tinsley says she doesn’t judge Dorinda, and Ramona tells Tinsley, calm down. Tinsley, who has moved into screeching, says, let her finish. Dorinda sarcastically says she’s scared, and asks LuAnn to protect her. Sonja asks why Tinsley is getting in on the conversation, because she’s probably too drunk already to understand what’s going on outside of the world in her head. Tinsley says, for someone who doesn’t care about her, Dorinda says a lot of sh*t about her. She doesn’t like being ganged up on. She leaves the table, and LuAnn follows. She tells Tinsley not to cry. She’s been there, and don’t let them see you cry. Tinsley says she can’t say anything without Dorinda saying something.

Elyse thinks Dorinda is grieving, and Dorinda tells Elyse to stop analyzing her. She’s not mean or unkind. Um… In Elyse’s interview, she says she’s not analyzing Dorinda; she’s frightened of Dorinda. You don’t have to be a psychologist to see she’s mean. Tinsley tells LuAnn that she’s suffered, and if she’s yelling, it’s because she’s upset. LuAnn says Dorinda has a lot of anger toward Tinsley, but she doesn’t know why. Dorinda tells Leah that Tinsley should just be compassionate, and talk to her some other time. She knew she was triggering Dorinda, saying she was being a bitch. If Tinsley wants a bitch, she’s got one. In Leah’s interview, she says, the group, especially Dorinda, is hard on Tinsley for not being forthcoming, but she can understand why Tinsley would mutter under her breath. Leah says they all have kids, which is something Tinsley wants. Dorinda says she buried a husband – like we don’t already know – and she wanted to die. Leah says she got a family, and was loved. Dorinda says, it was a terrible day, and starts to cry. Leah sits next to her, and says she and Tinsley have nothing in common; she gets it. Dorinda wails that she came to the realization that she’s 55, and this is not what she planned. Honey, I’ve got news for you, most of our lives aren’t what we planned. She says she did everything right. She’s a good mother, and not dishonest, and this is what she gets. In her interview, Leah says she has the utmost sympathy, but what does that have to do with Tinsley? Dorinda says she almost became an alcoholic (almost became?), and realized she didn’t like who she saw in the mirror. Leah says she likes Dorinda because she’s real. LuAnn says they’re going on a hayride if it kills them.

Tinsley talks to herself as she changes into sneakers, and says every time she tries, she’s squashed, and has to sit in the corner. Dorinda says, it’s the best time she’s ever had, and talks to the goats. Now I’m confused. Tinsley tells Leah that she wants to climb a tree. She wonders if they’re allowed, and Leah says, who cares? No one will know. Tinsley asks if climbing trees solves problems, and Leah says, it does. In her interview, Leah says, she’d rather be smoking trees, but the Weed Orchard is apparently just an orchard. Tinsley climbs up, and says she can see the world. In her interview, she says she’s mad at herself for letting Dorinda get to her, and getting breaking down crying mad. She let Dorinda rile her up. LuAnn comes along, and says they need to find the girls for the hayride.

They sit in the wagon, and after they get going, Sonja demands to go faster. LuAnn says this was just a way to get them off the lunch table; they’re going to a corn maze. Dorinda says she doesn’t need a maze. In Ramona’s interview, she says, who needs to get more lost? When they get there, Sonja confuses eggplants for pot plants. She tries chatting up the owner, but he’s not having it. Elyse, Ramona, and Dorinda head into the maze, and a woman who works there says they’re going the wrong way. LuAnn asks, which way is the right one? and goes in with Tinsley, Sonja, and Leah. Sonja shucks some corn, and puts it in her bag, saying she’s friends with the owner. LuAnn say she doesn’t know where the hell she’s going, and Sonja wonders what the goal is. She says, if they follow LuAnn, they’ll never get out. Sonja squats to pee, and Leah says she’s fertilizing the soil. LuAnn suggests holding it, but Leah says it’s not good for your bladder. LuAnn doesn’t know how good corn shucks are for it either. In her interview, Lean says, there are two Sonja’s. Miss Morgan, who lives on the Upper East Side, hates tattoos, and comes from old money; and turnip Sonja, who she loves. She has the feeling if both Sonjas met, they wouldn’t like each other. Dorinda says, just lose Tinsley. She’d be good as a corn stalk. My God, that woman is obsessed. In Dorinda’s interview, she says the maze is fun, but they can get out any time now. It’s time to get back to the maze of drinks. She and her group find a gazebo, and Dorinda says they’ll wait until they’re rescued.

On the way back, Sonja asks the owner how much money he makes. Dorinda thanks Ramona for listening, and Ramona say Dorinda is in pain. So was Mario. The reason he cheated was because he felt inadequate. In Ramona’s interview, she says, Dorinda needs to focus on herself, not the reason her relationship with John is over. It’s okay to move on. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, endings are painful, but sometimes breakups are good, healthy, and needed. It’s easy to fall back into old habits, and then what? She tells Ramona that John will always have a seat at her dinner table. She never wants someone to say their life was less than because of her (except Tinsley?). She wants them to say their life was better for having met her. Ramona says they blessed each other’s lives, and in her interview, says, it’s something Dorinda needs to work out. She’s suffering.

Back at the main house, the women have some fruit, cheese, and wine. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, when Sonja drinks, she loses it, and becomes a caricature of herself. Ramona says Sonja is needy, and asks when was the last time she had sex? Sonja says she got pounded last night. They discuss d*ck pics, and in LuAnn’s interview, she says she doesn’t like to shop online. She likes to touch and feel things, so d*ck pics don’t do it for her. Tinsley asks why it has to just be about that; what about loving each other? Sonja says Tinsley would do anything for d*ck if it brings her a bracelet. Why Tinsley doesn’t haul off and smack Sonja is beyond me. Elyse says when she’s not in a relationship, she misses being held, and Sonja says they all want sex. LuAnn says, it’s time to go.

Next time, the women take an exercise class and do some Russian banya (it’s like a sauna plus), Ramona says Dorinda has a pattern, and Dorinda gets nasty with Ramona.

👨🏾‍🍳 On Top Chef, everyone was bummed about Kevin leaving, and we flashed back on his moments. The chefs were taken to a summer camp, in the mountains outside of L.A., where Padma welcomed them, and introduced guest judge Kelsey Barnard Clark, who was the Top Chef Kentucky winner. Padma said that being out in nature made her excited for grilling season to begin. In honor of summer, the Quickfire challenge was to make a dish featuring Bush beans, choosing from a variety of options. Kelsey told them, get creative, have fun, and make a delicious meal. The winner would get $10K, courtesy of Bush beans. The chefs had thirty minutes. Lee Anne came out the winner for how she incorporated the beans in her dish, and her chef skills.

Padma told the chefs, they were not alone. A mom’s group was there for a weekend away from their kids, and to act like kids, and they were to send them off with full bellies and an unforgettable experience. The chefs were to work together to create a Sunday brunch buffet for 200 mothers. Another previous winner, Brook Williamson, would also be a guest judge. Kelsey wanted an impressive buffet, and Padma said each of them had to make two dishes. They had four hours to prep and cook for a 9 am meal, using whatever ingredients the camp had. Beforehand, they got to have some downtime with camp activities, like zip lining and bungie jumping.

For the 9 o’clock brunch, the chefs had to get up at 4 am. Lee Anne said she couldn’t sleep, hearing the karaoke going on below. They were a little disappointed in the lack of diversity in the camp pantry. Karen said there wasn’t much diversity and not a lot of ingredients. Melissa said it was straight up Hunger Games.

Bryan, Geoffrey, and Karen had the best dishes, and Karen came out the winner. The least favorite dishes came from Lee Anne, Melissa, and Brian full of Malarkey. Tom said they were at the place in the competition where mental mistakes start to happen. Lee Anne had to pack her knives and go, but she said it wasn’t over, since shed crushed it before in Last Chance Kitchen. That $10K probably wasn’t a bad consolation prize either. In her interview, she said she was moving into the next phase of her career, and life. After being a mom for five years, she was dusting off the cobwebs.

Next time, the chefs cook for Olympic athletes, and (gasp!) a piece of shell is found in the crab.

😵 Sleepwalking…

I’m way tired, since my sick child dog is back from the hospital, and needs a lot of care right now, so I’m saving the tea for tomorrow. The Shahs reunion remains a mystery, and I’m starting to wonder if they ever really existed. So for now, stay safe, stay keeping it real, and stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I missed the first couple of minutes, but it was mostly a replay of the end of yesterday’s show, and Sam harangued Brando some more about Molly.

Brando asks Sam if Molly knows she’s making ultimatums on her behalf. She says, stay away from Molly.

Lulu runs into Crimson, and Nina says, Valentin is with Charlotte in her office. She asks Lulu to give him a chance to make it right. Charlotte asks if Valentin still loves her, and he says, with all his heart. She says, then take her away. They can be together, the way it’s supposed to be. He says, it’s not that simple, but she says they can run right now, and no one can stop them.

At the MetroCourt, Nelle tells Willow, she didn’t mean to eavesdrop. She wants to apologize. Willow asks, for what? and Nelle says, it was rude when she said Willow meant nothing to Wiley. Willow asks, which time? and Nelle says, all of them, but especially at Crimson. Nina helped her realize that they’re just two mothers who had their children cruelly taken from them. Willow says, forgive her if she doesn’t want to form a support group, and Nelle says, now Chase is throwing Willow away like he did to her. She wondered how she could be so stupid to fall for him, but under that gorgeous face and sweet veneer, is a liar and a seducer. He’s an expert at seducing vulnerable women.

Michael tells Carly, he found Chase and Sasha together. Carly says, as in sleeping together? and he says, it had been going on a while. He and Willow were so focused on Wiley and the custody fight, Sasha and Chase turned to each other. Carly says, so Chase and Sasha were jealous and angry that he and Willow were spending time with Wiley. He says Carly told him not to get in too deep with Sasha, but Carly says she doesn’t think she said that. He says she did, and she was right.

Brando tells Sam, he let Molly know that TJ won’t hear from him; it’s not his place. Since Sam decided to insert herself in their business, he asks if Molly is going to be coming clean. Sam says Molly is an honest person, so she assumes so. Brando says, she’s honest, but didn’t tell him that she had a boyfriend. Sam says Molly thought she was single, and was heartbroken. She’d never sleep with someone like him. He says Sam doesn’t know him, and she says she knows he hurt Kristina’s feelings. He says, he apologized, and she should stop butting into things that are none of her business. Sam says Molly is her sister, and he says, she’s an adult. Sam says she doesn’t care. She’ll always protect Molly. He says, even if Molly doesn’t want her to?

Molly says there’s nothing Kristina can say that will convince her the truth isn’t the right thing, but Kristina says, why risk everything for a one-night stand that didn’t mean anything? Molly says, their relationship is built on honesty, and she has to be honest for it to work. It will be written all over her face anyway, and if she gets caught keeping a secret, it’s not worth it. Kristina thinks Molly confessing is a way to make herself feel better, at TJ’s expense.

Valentin tells Charlotte, neither one of them is going anywhere, but she won’t see him for a while. She says, because she’s bad? but he says, she’s a good girl. She says she wants things like they were when she was little; just the two of them. He loved her then. He says he loves her now, and always will. They hug, and she asks why he won’t fight for her. He flashes back to telling Charlotte that he wishes she’d never been involved, and he’s sorry. She says, it’s not his fault. It’s Nikolas and Ava’s fault, and Sasha for lying. And mommy too. She doesn’t like him, and didn’t want him and Nina to be happy. He’s going to fix it, right? Find a way to get Windymere back, and make Nina love him again. Then they can have their happily ever after.

Nina asks Lulu if she has any idea why Charlotte was so upset, and Lulu says she thinks Charlotte overheard her talking to Laura about Valentin choosing not to fight her custody petition. It was a shock. Her mom thinks he’s sincere, but she still doesn’t trust him. Valentin comes out with Charlotte, and Lulu hugs her, saying, she was so worried. Charlotte can’t run off like that again. Charlotte says she couldn’t let papa leave her. He’d do anything to keep them together. Lulu says she knows he would, and Charlotte says she had to show him that she would too.

Willow tells Nelle, go to hell. Nelle says, she’s just trying… and Willow says, to manipulate her, like she did Chase and her mom? She knows who Nelle is. She murdered her first fiancé, and tried to murder Michael. When it didn’t work, she left Michael to die in a burning car. If there’s one thing Brad is telling the truth about, it’s that Nelle gave him her baby. Nelle wanted Lucas to keep him, so Michael wouldn’t have him. She used Willow’s dead child like a prop, to convince Michael that their child was dead. Nelle says, all’s well that ends well. Sasha is more Chase’s type anyway. Willow says, goodbye, and walks out.

Finn asks what makes Chase think that Willow and Michael will get married? and Chase says, because as sure as Finn was that he was lying, he’s positive once the road is clear, Willow will follow her heart straight to Wiley. Finn sighs, and says, bro, bro, bro. He guesses Chase’s intentions are honorable. Chase thanks him, and says, just so he knows, Sasha has been incredibly stand-up. She’s no happier than he is, but they agreed Wiley’s safety comes first. Finn says Chase isn’t going to like what he has to say. His intentions are good, but his method stinks. He made a huge mistake.

Valentin tells Charlotte, there’s a right and wrong way to keep a family together. Charlotte asks what the right way is, and he says they have to figure that out. They’ll always be family, even if they don’t see each other for a while. She doesn’t want him to go away, and he asks if she remembers when he went away on long trips. Claudette would take care of her, and he always came back. She says, what if he doesn’t come back this time? and he says, impossible. He would miss her too much. Loving her keeps his heart beating. She says, hers too, and Lulu asks to speak to Charlotte. Charlotte says, no, he can’t leave, but Valentin says he’s staying right there; he promises. Has he ever broken a promise to her? Charlotte shakes her head, and Valentin goes out to the reception area. Lulu says she needs to ask Charlotte a question, and Charlotte needs to be totally honest. She won’t be in trouble. Did she hear Lulu and her grandmother talking?

Valentin thanks Nina for calling, and Nina says, of course (🍷). She’s sorry Charlotte is going through this. He says, he is too, and she says, Lulu said he’s not fighting her petition for full custody. He says, he’s not, and she says, wow. She never thought he’d give up on his daughter.

Sam tells Brando, Molly likes to see the best in people; she’s more realistic. She knows he’s been locked up. He says, that makes two of them, but he’s completely free, legally speaking. Isn’t she on parole? Now he gets it. She asks what he thinks he gets, and he says, this isn’t about Molly. It’s about her and Jason

Kristina asks Molly, if TJ had called, and said he was angry and needed time, would she have slept with Brando? Molly says, of course (🍷) not, but TJ didn’t ghost her. He was taken against his will. Kristina says, she had no way of knowing that. Did she sleep with Brando to get back at TJ? Molly says, no, and Kristina asks why she did it. Molly says because she was tired of feeling frustrated and angry, and Brando made her laugh; it felt good. Kristina says that’s exactly her point. It had nothing to do with TJ. There’s no reason tell him. TJ walks in, and says, tell him what? Ha-ha! I love soap moments like that.

Kristina says, her future domestic-partner-in-law. Molly told them the big news, and she’s so happy. He’s now stuck with the Davis sisters forever. He says, that’s been the plan for a while. Molly says she wasn’t expecting him to show up, and he says, that was the idea; he wanted to surprise her. He picked up her car. He knows how hard it’s been for her, and how lonely she must have felt. Molly says she’s been a bit of a mess, and Kristian says, was she ever. TJ says, something is wrong, but Molly says, no. He’s there now. He says the way she was looking at him… She says, sorry. It’s just the past few days have been surreal. He says, they’re together now, and he’s going to do everything to prove they’ll stay together from now on.

Sam asks what Brando could possibly know about her and Jason. He says Josslyn said they can’t be together because of her being on parole. She says, that’s none of his business, and he says, like what happened between him and Molly not being hers. How about if they find their own business? He needs to get back to work. She says, don’t dismiss her; she’s not done. He says, he’s done. She’s welcome to watch him work. She tells him something about the mechanics of a nearby bike, and he asks if she’s a bike expert.

Valentin tells Nina, she’s said things to him that he’s earned, but she knows better. He’d never give up his daughter. She says, then fight for her; stay in her life. He says he’s trying to do the right thing. He’s a bad influence, and has to keep his distance. She says, he could do that, or he can be a better man.

Charlotte tells Lulu, she came down for a snack, and heard them talking about papa. Lulu wishes Charlotte had told her that she was there, but Charlotte says Lulu never wants to talk about papa in front of her. She always changes the subject.

Michael tells Carly, he loves Sasha, and thought what they had was real. She says she thinks it was real, but doesn’t think Sasha is the woman he needed. He thinks she’s right. The whole Wiley situation blindsided them both. Sasha wasn’t ready for an instant family, and consciously or subconsciously, she got out. Carly says, they’ll get him through this. He’ll get custody of Wiley, and find the woman he deserves. She hugs him.

Molly says she has to call Sam; she was going to pick up the car. TJ says he ran into her, and she knows he has it. He was surprised to see her. He figured they’d still be talking. Kristina says, they have busy lives. Her lunch break is over; can she get them anything? TJ says, a veggie burger and fries, and asks if Molly wants something. Molly says, now that she has the car back, she has to run errands. He asks if she wants company, but she tells him, enjoy his burger. She’s going to the library to pick up a law book, and maybe she’ll research some precedents. He says, remember, be home by dinner. They start to kiss, and Kristina says, a veggie burger and fries coming up. TJ says he loves Molly, and she says she loves him too.

Brando tells Sam, he’s not there to cause trouble; the opposite. She asks what that would be? Solving people’s problems? He says he’s staying there to help cover for Dev because Sonny wants him to. She asks what exactly is he getting out of the deal, the garage? He says he has no ulterior motive, and she says, everything was out of the kindness of his heart. Sam says she’s calling a car, and getting the hell out of there. He says, she doesn’t have her own car? but she says she came to pick up Molly. Hers is in the shop, if he must know. He hopes she’s satisfied with the service. If she is, they never have to cross paths again.

Nina says Valentin has done terrible things. He can be a better man, and stay in Charlotte’s life. Be the positive influence she needs, instead of proving you walk away when the going gets tough. He says he’s trying to do right by his daughter, but Nina says, she’s a little girl. She won’t see it that way. He says he’s lived a life fueled by resentment, but she says he’s capable of great love. He’s not sure he is, and she says, he’s Charlotte’s papa. She’ll love him unconditionally for the rest of her life. He says, she’ll see he’s trying to do the right thing, and Nina says, she’ll see what it’s costing him. It doesn’t have to be that way. The right thing he has planned is just wrong. He says, she’s right, and she says, of course (🍷) she is. The one time he’s trying to be noble, he’s screwing it up.

Charlotte tells Lulu, she said papa was walking away for her own good, and said she was glad. Lulu says she’s so sorry, but Charlotte heard part of a grown-up conversation she didn’t understand. She wishes Charlotte had talked to her, instead of running. Charlotte says Lulu didn’t ask how she feels. She doesn’t care that Charlotte misses him every minute.

Carly asks if there’s anything she can do for Michael, and he says she already did. She listened and didn’t judge. She says he didn’t do anything wrong, and he says he can’t afford any more mistakes. He feels like he’s jumping out of his skin. The custody situation is in limbo, and he doesn’t know what Nelle will do next. He’s got to do something. She suggests he go for a run; clear his head. He says, good idea, and she says he should always take her advice. Carly flashes back to calling Sasha a con artist, and saying she thought Sasha was different. She remembers telling Sasha that she’s willing to give her a second chance, but make the most of it. She doesn’t give a third when her kids are involved. I guess Carly forgot to flash back to when Sasha told her about how she’d be willing to step aside for Michael to marry Willow.

Chase tells Finn that when he said he was glad Finn was there, he was wrong. He opens the door, and says, get out. Finn asks if love and family aren’t about being honest, no matter how difficult. He read that somewhere. Chase asks if Finn doesn’t see how hard this is for him. He loves Willow, and hated breaking her heart, and his was torn to shreds in the process. Finn says he should have told Willow what was at stake, and let her make up her own mind. He can’t make those decisions for her. She has to make her own choices. Chase says, it’s too late. It’s over; done. Finn says Chase has to find her, and tell her the truth. If he comes clean, he’ll have a chance to save the relationship. Chase says he doesn’t know, and Finn says, there’s only one way to find out, and no time like the present. He needs to move on this. The longer the lie festers, the smaller the chance he has of winning her back. Chase says, Wiley needs Willow, and Finn says, let her decide how to help him. It’s not fair to her, Michael, or Wiley if her decision is based on a lie. Go find her and fix this.

Michael gets ready to run in the park. He flashes back to telling Sasha, he’s had the best time of his life on the island because of her, as they bask in the afterglow. He remembers telling her that he loves her, and her saying she loves him too. He thinks about her saying that she felt shut out, and she and Chase were commiserating. She never wanted to hurt him, but didn’t know how to tell him. She was wrong, but she can’t stand watching him hate her. He begins his run.

Sasha goes to the MetroCourt bar, and Nelle says, proceed at her own risk. Carly is going to strike Sasha down for cheating on her precious son. She might save herself from the humiliation of being thrown out, and leave on her own. Sasha tells her to find someone who cares, and Nelle says, it saved her lawyer a phone call. He wants Sasha to be a character witness against Michael. After what happened, she can’t be staying at the Quartermaines. Did she move in with Chase? Where can Nelle reach her? Sasha says she can’t believe what a bitch Nelle is, and Nelle says she thinks Sasha’s been warned. All of this from a backstabbing, boyfriend stealing slut. Nelle walks away, and sees Carly coming. She says she heard Michael had his heart broken again. She’ll talk to Carly soon.

Valentin tells Nina, it kills him to think he’s abandoning Charlotte, and Nelle says, show her that she’s wrong. He says he hopes he gets the chance, and she says, the Valentin she knows doesn’t wait for a chance; he makes one. He says, the old him that she told him not to be? She says, be the Valentin she knows. Lulu comes out with Charlotte, and says she and Valentin need to talk.

A car horn blows, and Sam says, it must be her ride. Brando says, don’t be a stranger. Molly walks in, and says, Sam is still there? Why? Sam asks what Molly is doing there, but Brando thinks Molly has the better question. Why doesn’t Sam answer her? Molly says, this saved her the trouble of telling them separately. She’s decided not to tell TJ about their night together. Brando say, it’s her business. He already told her that he won’t say anything. She thanks him, and Sam says she has a car waiting, if Molly wants to walk out with her. Molly tells her, go ahead. She wants to talk to Brando for a second. Sam says she’ll check in on Molly, and Molly says she knows Sam will. Sam leaves, and Brando asks if there’s something Molly needs to say.

Nina suggests she and Charlotte look at pictures from the shoot. Charlotte can help her pick some out for the spread. Charlotte says, they’ve been in there forever, but Nina says, they haven’t, and asks Charlotte to come over there. They have to take their time, because they’re talking about the most important thing in the world – her. Charlotte says, that should be a no-brainer. Nina laughs, and says she wants Charlotte to understand that, whatever their decision, it’s because they love her. Charlotte says she understands, but she doesn’t have to like it. Nina says, she doesn’t, but whatever they decide, she’ll always be there for Charlotte, no matter what. They hug, and Valentin and Lulu come out of Nina’s office. Charlotte says, well? and Lulu says, time to go home. Charlotte asks what about Valentin? and he says he’ll pick her up tomorrow. They have some riding to do. She says he’s not going away? and he says, never. Lulu says, they’ll be better. Charlotte deserves to be loved be both parents. Charlotte hugs both of them, and Valentin smiles at Nina.

Molly serves TJ his meal, and asks if he’s okay. He asks how Molly seems to her, and she says he sees her more. What does he think? He says, to be honest, she seems a little shaky. She’s usually strong and steady, but since he got back… Kristina says, from being kidnapped. Molly thought he’d ghosted her, and was heartbroken. Then to find out what really happened… She knows it’s hard for him to imagine. Molly is strong, but she was lost without him. He’s her rock, and she thought she’d lost him forever. He’s sorry Molly had to go through that, but Kristina says, it’s not his fault, which is good. They don’t have to hate him forever. He says it’s good he was kidnapped? and she says, understand the silver lining. He and Molly have their whole lives ahead. Put the past behind them, and move on. TJ says, agreed. There’s nothing he’d like to do more than look forward to the future with Molly.

Molly hopes Sam wasn’t too hard on Brando, but he says he can take it. He doesn’t want to be on Sam’s bad side. She says, definitely not, and he says, Sam is her big sister, and family is supposed to look out for each other. She says, it’s one thing the Davises are good at. He tells her, no reason to worry. He’s not going to say anything. She says, one more thing she wanted to be clear about. She made her own choices that night. Everything she did, she wanted to do. He didn’t take advantage of her, but it can never happen again. He says he doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Nothing happened between them. She thanks him, and says, for what it’s worth, she’s sorry. He says, nice knowing her.

Sasha tells Carly, before she says anything… Carly says she spoke to her son. He blames himself for what happened, but she wants Sasha to know she blames her.

Michael slows down, and stops. Nelle appears, and says, bad day? Does he want to talk about it?

Chase looks at a picture of him and Willow. He says, find her and fix this. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Willow, and he says, it feels weird having her knock. She says, it feels weird to knock. She won’t stay long. She’s just picking up her stuff. She starts to go into the bedroom, and he says, Willow…?

Tomorrow, Sonny has something to tell everyone, Julian tells Brook to stay out of his bar, Michael says he’ll never trust Nelle, and Carly asks why Sasha cheated on her son.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Tonight’s show began with PK making extremely important decisions from his hot tub. Apparently, there are his and hers hot tubs at their house. Mauricio and the kids welcomed Kyle home from NYC. She didn’t exactly relax, immediately getting ready to have sixteen people for dinner. Erika rehearsed for Chicago, and said her mother’s critical voice in her head always interfered with her psyche. In the picture they showed of Erika with her mother, her mother looked stern and unyielding, like a retired nun, or a Nazi. According to Erika, she acted like one too, but Erika said at least she was honest.

Teddi disagreed with LisaR on whether Amelia should come home from NYC, but didn’t want to call LisaR’s parenting skills into question. In Teddi’s interview, she said she’d wanted to come home from L.A. when she was younger, and her parents told her to say there. I understood this, since there was a moment I’d wanted to leave NYC, and go back home, and my father suggested I stay put. We got a glimpse inside the gift bags Sutton passed out last week, and it included a clutch worth almost $2K. How do I get on the next gift bag list? Sutton told Teddi that she’d be coming to Teddi’s retreat, and hoped Teddi gave a sh*t. Sutton thought Teddi’s I-don’t-care-if-you-come-or-not invite wasn’t the right approach with girlfriends, and in LisaR’s interview, she said it was fun to rile Teddi up; it didn’t take much.

Denise was still recovering from her hernia operation, and said she was used to sucking it up; it’s how she was raised. The morally corrupt Faye Resnick was at Kyle’s party, and Garcelle arrived wearing the most amazing tulle high/low ballet skirt. When dinner was served, I started wondering why there always has to be a foam of some kind. I don’t want any food foam on my plater. Every time I hear it, it makes my stomach turn a little. Kyle thanked her husband for doing a stellar job holding down the fort. LisaR got the bright idea to play a game by telling the person to their left what their first impression was of them. It was a mutual admiration society until they got to Sutton, who said she thought Teddi would be boring, and she was pregnant, God help us. But then she found that Teddi had more depth than she’d thought. She added she thought it was strange for Teddi to tell everyone she didn’t care if they came to her retreat, and this was the final straw for Teddi, who started crying, which prompted several of the women to gather around and hug her. The guys all looked at their plates, and Edwin said all she heard was boring. Mauricio said she was going to magnify the word all night, and it would be like a Pacman. Sutton said she was sorry to offend Teddi, and in LisaR’s interview, she said, what you see is what you get with Sutton.

Kyle asked Aaron about what he did, which prompted a long and rambling speech about the splitting of atoms being able to cause a nuclear reaction, when we couldn’t cure cancer. At first, I thought he must have gotten stoned with Mauricio, but I deciphered he had something to do with alternative medicine, and was against Big Pharma. Denise said people were following them, who didn’t want Aaron publishing his results, and in her interview, Garcelle said it started off awkward, and went to bizarre, and then more bizarre. Denise finally told Aaron to quit talking about it, and everyone guessed the sex of Teddi’s baby. The general consensus was a boy, but we saw a clip of the reveal party where the confetti was pink. Teddi told them they were wrong; it was going to be a girl. Denise apologized, and she and Aaron left, and Kyle announced it was time for Fireball.

Sutton told Kyle, she thought Teddi was pissed at her, but Kyle said if Sutton was being honest, then she was cool. In Kyle’s interview, she said she sensed Sutton felt intimidated by all the women. I got the feeling Sutton wasn’t used to there being zero etiquette at a party. We saw clips of Kyle rocking it out afterward, and Mauricio filming her doing the splits. The next day, Sutton got together with Kyle, and said she’d felt picked on. Kyle said she’d wanted everyone to get to know one another, but it went awry. At lunch, Erika asked how Teddi really felt about Sutton coming to her retreat, and Teddi said she didn’t want Sutton there. For being the only one not holding a diamond, Sutton sure gets a lot of screen time. And from the preview, apparently Sutton goes to the retreat, and LisaR picks on Kyle at dinner.

Aaron had the best quote: if you live up here for a while, you want to drink tequila.

🌱 Soon…

As we get close to another (what’s a) weekend, it looks like restrictions are starting to be lifted. I hope you kept your job, or at least your sanity, and have used the time to hone a useful skill, like calligraphy, or solo beer pong. Stay safe, stay smart, and stay ready for not having to stay.
