Monday:
Carly brought Valentin a sandwich, saw the mess, and asked, what happened? He said he’d gotten a visit from her WSB agent daughter.
Obrecht told Josslyn that her Nathan would never impersonate Cesar, and Josslyn said Faison didn’t murder Nathan.
Outside Bobbie’s, Nathan praised James for his karate skills, when Sidwell came along.
Ethan was surprised Sonny sold the piers, and Sonny said, long story. If this worked out, there would be no secrets between them. Lucy showed up and wondered what Ethan was doing in Port Charles.
Dante brought Rocco in for his shift at the hospital, but Britt thought his hand should heal first. Rocco said he wanted to complete his community service before baseball season, and Dante wondered if Britt had seen Elizabeth.
Cullum said Elizabeth had given him excellent care despite sharing a child with the man who shot him.
Lucy hugged Ethan and said he was still handsome. Ethan said, same, and Sonny agreed. Lucy said she was always thinking about Luke and the trouble they’d gotten into, and Ethan left to get coffee. Lucy said she was confident in confiding to Sonny that she was going to make her move on Sidwell.
Sidwell asked if James learned that lethal move from his father.
Rocco asked if Britt needed help, but she told him to go get changed, and he left. Dante hoped Britt could help out with the pier investigation, but she said she’d given her statement and nothing had changed, and she left.
Elizabeth said every patient was given the best care, despite who they were or their position, and Sidwell asked how her son Jake was handling things. He suggested she and Jason were still close, but she said that was hard considering she didn’t know where Jason was. He asked if she was working the night he was shot, and she said she hadn’t been part of his team. He said he wanted to find out where all the interested parties were, but she said she was hardly that. She didn’t see Jason that night. She was more than happy to assign another nurse, but he said it wasn’t necessary, and she suggested they stay focused on his care.
Valentin told Carly that he’d lost his temper. Josslyn neglected to mention her discovery of the book and cigarillos that Cullum had when she’d gone to Windymere. Carly wondered if that was code, but he said they were linked to Faison, and she wondered how they were linked to Josslyn. He said, not Josslyn – Anna.
Josslyn said it was a miracle Nathan was alive, and Obrecht agreed. Josslyn asked if she’d questioned why or how he was back, but Obrecht said he was a hero. He’d protected Maxie from a bullet from his own father. If Josslyn smudged her son, she’d regret it.
Lucy said she had to make her move or Ava would box her out, and Sonny said, let her. He told her to call him if she was in danger, but she promised she could handle herself, so ta. She left, and he said, famous last words, when Ethan came back. He asked what that was about, and Sonny said Ethan might have to save Lucy from herself.
Nathan told Sidwell that James was studying karate to learn focus and self-discipline, not to be lethal. Have a nice night. Nathan and James went into Bobbie’s.
Josslyn apologized, but said she couldn’t help thinking it was all connected with what was happening with Anna, and Obrecht said she’d forget they had this conversation. If someone was emulating Faison, it would be dangerous if they found out she was asking questions. She didn’t want to end up like Anna. Josslyn said she was letting it go and left. Obrecht took out her phone, while Josslyn skulked around.
Dante told Elizabeth that Rocco had been quiet lately, and she said she’d noticed. Dante thought maybe he felt guilty about Danny, and Elizabeth said she’d keep an eye on him. Had Dante followed up with Cullum? From the way he’d questioned her, he was looking for answers.
Valentin said Anna was convinced Faison was alive, but Carly said Jason was convinced he was dead. Maybe it was good that Anna was getting help. He said he didn’t think it was that simple. Cullum was dangerous and a Faison expert. She asked if he thought Cullum was playing a mind game with Anna, and he said he thought Cullum played a direct role in Anna’s breakdown.
Ethan said Sidwell was like a sparkler stuck between dynamite sticks, and Sonny said Sidwell was dangerous because of Marco being murdered. Lucy was in over her head, and he wanted Ethan to get her out of it. Ethan suggested they eliminate Sidwell.
Lucy met Sidwell at Bobbie’s and went over to say hello to James and Nathan. Sidwell suggested they sit together, but Nathan said Obrecht had invited them for dessert and he and James left. Lucy said she was thrilled that she and Sidwell could be alone.
Elizabeth told Dante that Cullum believed she was helping Jason, and Dante said he’d been barred from investigating what happened to Jason. He knew something was off, but hadn’t helped Jason or Danny, and they deserved better.
Cullum’s phone rang, and he asked what they had… Anna Devane… That is extremely interesting…
Valentin told Carly that Cullum and Sidwell were working on a project Faison had started. Anna knew the way Faison’s mind worked, and he thought she’d figured it out and was trying to stop it. Cullum would have wanted her out of the way. Carly said, why not kill Anna? but he said, it would attract attention. No one would rest until the killers were brought to justice, especially him.
Rocco peeked into Cullum’s room, and Britt grabbed him. He said he needed to see Cullum. He’d never shot anyone before. Britt said his life was riding on this and he could never say that again. Stay away from her and Cullum. Elizabeth saw Britt grabbing Rocco by the arm and yelling at him, and ran over. She told Britt to get her hands off Rocco.
Lucy asked how Sidwell was, and he said he had his ups and downs. She felt badly that she’d been in Los Angeles, but he said he’d never fault her for prioritizing business. Ava had been a bastion of support in her absence.
Sonny said it was drastic and he’d never known Ethan to cross lines. Ethan said, things and people changed, and Sonny asked if he was saying he’d eliminate Sidwell for the right price. Ethan said, no, because it was personal. Sonny said, since when? and Ethan said since Sidwell tried to kill his mother.
Obrecht hugged James and asked if he was enjoying karate. James said he loved it, and she said karate enhanced mental health by fostering discipline, focus, stress relief, self-confidence. He said, and humility, and she said she had something for him that she’d brought from New Zealand. It was a power shell that symbolized prosperity, healing, and connection to the sea. James thanked her, and Obrecht hugged Nathan. He asked if everything was okay.
Josslyn went to see Dante and asked about the investigation into Cullum’s shooting, but he said there wasn’t one by the PCPD. She flashed back to seeing Nathan at the hospital, and Dante said Jason had confessed. There wasn’t much he could do. Josslyn said he’d know more than her about navigating the WSB, but he said she would because she was currently in it.
Carly asked if Valentin just didn’t want to believe Anna broke on her own. None of them was invincible. Valentin said the timing was suspect. Two of Faison’s children came back from the dead and Cullum had been pulling the strings for longer than anyone realized. There was a connection. There had to be. Carly asked what he wanted, and he said he wanted to talk to Anna directly. He’d called the clinic saying he was Doc (aka Dr. Kevin Collins).
Obrecht said things were better than fine, and James said Nathan had gone on a date with Lulu and he got to come too. The chicken got so burnt, they had to go out for pizza. Obrecht asked if they’d enjoyed the date, and James said he couldn’t wait to do it again. Nathan told James to ask Trish about her mother, and James left. Obrecht said it must be serious with him and Lulu if he was including James, and he said they’d gotten closer. She said it was clear he and James were happy. He was a good father to his son. James had needed Nathan. Nathan said he’d needed James too, and she said they had each other, and in the end, that’s all that mattered.
Lucy said she was glad Sidwell had Ava’s support, but now that she was back, he had even more. She was thinking it would be great to spend time on the open water, something more glamorous than the launch. He said, like his yacht, and she pretended to be surprised that he had one. She thought it would be perfect to take to the 4th of July regatta. She’d gone in the past. He said she was welcome to come on board anytime. Perhaps they should invite Ava as well.
Sonny told Ethan about Holly coming to him after she’d stolen Sidwell’s diamonds in Africa, and Ethan said, it was a small price to pay, since Sidwell had tried to kill her more than once. The world would be a better place without Sidwell, but there was obviously a reason Sonny wanted to keep him alive.
Dante said he knew Josslyn was in the WSB, and told her about seeing her connect with Vaughn at the airport. She asked if he’d told anyone, and he said it would put her in jeopardy, so only Anna. Help him. She was asking questions about an investigation that should be handled by her agency, and it made him think it wasn’t an open and shut case. He wanted to know who sent her here.
Elizabeth told Rocco to complete his assigned tasks, and he left. She asked what the hell Britt was doing speaking to Rocco like that and putting her hands on him, but Britt said it wasn’t what it looked like. Elizabeth said she had no right to treat Rocco like that, and Britt said she did it because she had to.
James came back with cake to share with Obrecht. He wished he had a brother and asked if Nathan felt the same way. Nathan said he’d had Peter, but James said he meant a good brother.
Dante asked if Brennan or Cullum had sent her, but Josslyn said the WSB hadn’t told her anything. They didn’t know she was there. Brennan had deactivated her and told her to stay out of this. Dante asked why she was on a fishing expedition then, and she said she didn’t buy the official explanation that Jason shot Cullum. It didn’t fit Jason or Britt. It looked like they were covering something up. He said the next time she wanted something, she’d better show up with something useful and be ready to trade. She said understood and left. Dante called Tomkins and asked for the pier shooting evidence that they’d buried. He was going to reopen the investigation.
Britt told Elizabeth that she knew she was a disaster for Rocco, and she was trying to do the right thing and get him out of her life. Help her keep Rocco away.
Ethan said instead of retaliating against the trouble Sidwell caused Sonny, Sonny sold him his piers. He had a specific reason to keep Sidwell alive or Sidwell had leverage. What was the move? Sonny said he was impressed and he had his reason for not wanting Sidwell dead… yet. Ethan said, if and when that changed, he’d be more than happy to take care of it.
Valentin said Anna’s condition hadn’t changed and she was still suffering from delusions, and Carly said he’d taken a huge risk. He’d already done it once and the WSB were monitoring her. They knew he cared about Anna and would expect him to reach out. What if the call led them to her house?
Lucy said, it would be a dream, when Sidwell got a call and went outside to take it. Cullum said they’d been monitoring Anna and a call was apparently made by her referring doctor, but they both knew he was in Ireland and the call came from Port Charles. He wanted to find out who placed the call and pay that person a visit.
Tuesday:
Kai met with Willow in her office, and she told him that she was going to be taking a more active role in the International Law Enforcement Appropriations Committee. She wanted to know who supported funding for the WSB and who didn’t. He asked if it had to do with her meeting with Brennan.
Portia and Trina ate at Bobbie’s and talked about the baby coming. Portia said they’d done nothing with the nursery, and Trina said it didn’t feel right to work on their project when Jordan was going through hell.
At the hospital, Turner gifted Jordan with a cashmere hoodie.
On the phone in his office, Curtis requested a copy of the paint analysis from the paint on the guardrail, when Michael brought him some Aurora paperwork. He asked Curtis if it was about Jordan’s accident and had they ID’d the other driver, and Curtis said, not yet, but there was a good chance it was Isaiah Gannon.
Isaiah thanked Lucas for covering for him, since he’d wrecked the side of his SUV in the parking garage.
Brook cuddled Phoebe, when Tracy walked in.
Michael asked why Curtis thought it was Isaiah, and Curtis said the other car scraped the guardrail and the paint was the same as Isaiah’s SUV. Michael said there were a lot of SUVs like his, and Curtis told him about Isaiah bugging Jordan at the hospital. It was like he was feeling guilty. Michael said it still seemed like a big leap, but Curtis thought it was worth pursuing.
Isaiah told Lucas that his mistake was going to cost him in car repairs.
Jordan apologized to Turner for being self-pitying, but Turner said Jordan didn’t have to put up a front. They were friends. She always wanted the truth no matter what. Jordan said her face may never be the same and she was trying to be realistic. She’d taken pride in her appearance and didn’t know if she could handle it.
Trina told Portia that she was torn. It seemed insensitive to move ahead. Portia said the baby wouldn’t put things on pause, but she was going to let Curtis know before they did anything. He wasn’t happy about not being aware of her last check-up. Trina said Jordan was shook up about the injuries to her face, and Portia said shattered glass could cause deep lacerations and they’d been compounded by burns. Trina felt guilty for being rude to Jordan in the past and wished she could do more, but Portia said it wasn’t too late.
Willow told Kai that she was working with Jack. What happened to Jason was a miscarriage of justice and she wanted to make sure it didn’t happen again. She needed more power and influence with the funding committee.
Tracy was desperate for caffeine after being awakened by a wailing baby, and Brook said Phoebe would have a better sleep schedule in six months, but Tracy said, she could be back with her actual family by then. Chase asked where Brook’s car was, and Tracy said she’d put both their cars in to get detailed. There was two for one deal, and who didn’t love a good bargain? Chase left for work, and Tracy told Brook that he was a smart cop. She’d better do a better job of covering.
Kristina visited Lucas’s office and said she wanted to see how he was doing. He said he was hanging in there, and she said she’d been thinking about Marco since they’d reopened Charlie’s. She’d be dead if not for him. He was a hero. Lucas agreed.
Isaiah called Willow and he asked for Kai’s number, and she said he was in luck. Kai was there. She put Kai on the phone, and Isaiah said he needed Kai’s help with something important. Could he swing by the hospital?
Brook told Tracy that she’d come clean with the police. She’d just explain that she didn’t know there was an accident and leave out the glass of wine part. Tracy said Lucy wouldn’t, and Brook said she wasn’t drunk, but Tracy said it didn’t matter. The police would assume she was covering up a crime even though she wasn’t responsible. Brook wondered why she felt like she was.
Jordan said she knew she should just be grateful to be alive, and Turner said people were judged on the appearance, especially women. (Truth!) She had to present a whole package to the jury. Men didn’t have to worry about the same things. Jordan said she was the public face of Sidwell’s company, and Turner asked if she was concerned he’d fire her. Jordan said, it might be a relief, and Turner said, eventually, Jordan would deal with it. Her strength and confidence was inspiring. Jordan said the lacerations had already changed how she felt about herself and she didn’t know how she felt about that.
Curtis told Michael to keep it to himself, and Michael said, of course (🍷). Curtis said he didn’t want to make any accusations until he had proof and even then it could be dicey. They’d worked hard at making peace, but the other driver committed a crime and should be held accountable. Michael said he understood, but it might not give Curtis the resolution he was hoping for. Curtis said he had to know if his hunch was correct.
Tracy said coming forward wouldn’t help Jordan and might make things worse for Brook, and Brook asked if she couldn’t just tell Chase. Tracy said, absolutely not. He’d be obligated to report it. Besides, secrets were part of a healthy marriage. What if Chase decided she was at fault and decided she should come forward? Brook said, or he could decide to protect her and compromise his own principles, and Tracy said, Jordan was at fault. All Brook did was swerve to avoid her. She was saving herself and Chase heartache. Trina stood at the patio door with a package.
Curtis asked Portia if there were any updates on Jordan’s condition, but Portia said she’d been keeping her distance. She and Trina had discussed the nursery and decided they’d wait on it, since he was focused on Jordan. Curtis told her to start anyway. It was funny how things could change in an instant. Portia said she and Isaiah were shocked to get the call, and Curtis said, so they were out of town? Portia wondered why he asked, and he said when they brought Jordan in, he’d hoped to bump into them. She said she was done working for the day, but Isaiah came back for an emergency house call.
Lucas was glad someone else knew Marco was so brave, and Kristina said she wanted the world to know. She thought they should honor him with a memorial. The Corinthos-Davis Foundation could do something to honor him and she wanted to know more about him.
Kai met Isaiah at the hospital. They had a young patient named Derek who’d been there for weeks. Kai asked how long Derek was supposed to stay, and Isaiah said he was waiting on a liver transplant. He was a huge football fan whose dream was to play quarterback at PCU. He thought a visit from Kai would brighten his day, since Kai was his favorite football player. Kai said he’d do whatever he could.
Michael went to see Willow in her office, and she apologized for losing her temper and saying things about Jacinda. He asked why she had a change of heart, and she said she realized the animosity wasn’t good for the kids. He accepted her apology and said she should probably apologize to Jacinda directly. She said she had a favor to ask.
Trina brought them a package that was mistakenly delivered to the apartment, and Brook asked about Jordan. Trina said she was expected to make a full recovery, but her face may be permanently scarred.
Turner said, of course (🍷) Jordan would feel different. She had to give herself time to heal physically and emotionally. Jordan said she was terrible at waiting (same) and had no control over what happened, and Turner said Jordan could give herself grace and lean on the people who cared about her. Jordan said Curtis didn’t sign up for this, and Turner said he didn’t seem like he backed away when things got tough. Curtis was lucky to have her. Jordan appreciated Turner letting her be herself, and Turner said, anytime.
Lucas said Marco had considered being a professional musician because it was what Natalia wanted, and Kristina said it was lucky Natalia had Allie to fulfill her dreams instead. He said Marco had loved his mom and was devastated when she died, and she asked what else he loved. Lucas said, tennis. He once beat Marco and they had to play again to even the score, missing a dinner reservation. Kristina said she could work with that. What did he think about the Marco Rios Tennis Center? He said he thought Marco would love that, and she said she’d host a fund raiser.
Isaiah introduced Kai to Derek, who was very impressed. He wanted to be just like Kai. Kai said he could also learn from Derek and suggested they trade tips.
Willow asked Michael’s permission to take the kids to Disney World. It had been poor judgement for her to take them to Drew’s swearing in without asking him and she wanted to do things the right way. He said that’s why she apologized, but she said it had been sincere. He told her, just keep him advised on the details. They should coordinate their schedules since he wanted to take the kids to Hawaii this summer. She said she appreciated his effort to get along and wished they’d have done it sooner. Chase showed up with flowers.
Chase said he could come back later, but Michael said he was just leaving. Chase gave Willow the flowers and thanked her for helping with Phoebe. It meant the world to him. He thanked her for being a good friend.
Portia asked if Lucas didn’t go to med school with one of the top plastic surgeons in the country, and he said, Dr. Shapiro, who was based in LA. She asked if he’d see if Dr. Shapiro could consult on Jordan’s case, and he said he would, but the doctor had a two-year waitlist. She said if he was Lucas’s friend, it was worth a shot.
Curtis went to Jordan’s room and she showed him the hoodie. Turner left, and Curtis said it was nice to see Jordan smiling. She said she’d talked to Dr. Caldwell and it would be at least a month before they could discuss surgical options. The doctor said the burns shouldn’t be a problem long term, but they had to wait for them to heal. It would be simpler if they’d gotten help sooner.
Tracy said if Jordan or Curtis needed anything, they were there to help, and Brook told Trina, the night of the accident was the night she and Gio had performed at Charlie’s. Even though she’d missed seeing it live, Dante sent a recording and she’d been amazing. Trina thanked her, and Brook asked if she’d considered a future in singing. Trina said she was focused on the art world, and Brook said if Trina changed her mind, she’d be happy to help her. Trina left, and Tracy asked if Brook was out of her mind.
Michael met Kristina at Bobbie’s and said his meeting with Willow had been enlightening. He’d been worried that Willow would use her congressional power against him, but he’d figured out how to level the playing field. The key to neutralizing Willow had been staring him in the face this whole time.
Chase asked if things were okay between Willow and Michael, and she told him how Michael had agreed to let her take the kids out of state on vacation. He said it was the least Michael could do after framing her for shooting Drew, and she said, it was all very civil. She wished he’d been willing to compromise from the beginning. Things wouldn’t have gone as far as they did. He said she was too good for Michael and always had been.
Brook said she just wanted to help Trina out, but Tracy said Brook wanted to assuage her guilt when she had nothing to feel guilty about. Brook said, Jordan may end up with permanent scars, but Tracy said Brook inserting herself in their family would only make them suspicious. Brook asked if she was supposed to live her life with the secret and a guilty conscience, and Tracy said, it could be worse. If they found out she was in the other car involved, she could lose everything – her husband, Phoebe, and any chance of adopting. Brook had to pull it together or Tracy wouldn’t be able to help her.
Kai said Derek was great and would be okay, and Isaiah said Kai’s visit inspired Derek to keep fighting. Kai said he’d forgotten what it was like to have a positive impact on someone. He hoped Derek got a chance to play. He’d love to come back if it was okay with Isaiah. Isaiah said, of course (🍷) it was.
Lucas said it was nice of Portia to help Jordan and she said he was the one making the call. He said she’d thought of it, and she said she hadn’t been fair to Jordan. She hoped it worked out. They weren’t best friends, but Jordan would be a part of her life and she wanted to help.
Curtis went to catch Turner, and asked if there were any updates on the other car, but she said they had no suspects yet. He said he did. She should look into Dr. Isaiah Gannon.
Wednesday:
At the hospital, Isaiah told Elizabeth about scraping his car in the garage, when Willow arrived. He congratulated her and asked how she managed everything.
Curtis went to see Laura and gave her an update on Jordan. He said she was struggling with coming to terms with permanent scarring and asked if Laura could help him figure something out. They were trying to find the driver from the other vehicle and he had reason to believe it was Isaiah.
Alexis sat with Brook at the park, and Brook introduced her to Phoebe.
Josslyn went to see Lucas and said she was concerned about Cullum. Lucas wondered why she was so interested in him.
Nathan went to Lulu’s and said they had to do something before Rocco got himself in trouble.
Jack went to Crimson to see Nina, and said he wanted a cease fire. It was time to reset the tone of their relationship.
Valentin wanted to cook for Carly and the moss bowl🎍, when Michael showed up.
Josslyn told Lucas that she was concerned about her mother. If Cullum made a recovery, he might remember something that helped Jason. His account of what happened might clarify why Jason did what he did, and he might help Jason’s defense even if he didn’t mean to. With Jason gone, she was worried her mom would do something reckless.
Valentin hid, and Michael came in. He said he figured out how to handle Willow, and Carly asked what she’d done. Michael said it was what Willow was going to do. She just needed a little push.
Elizabeth told Willow that when she was with Drew, he’d blinked an SOS. She wondered why Nina hadn’t told Willow.
Jack said his and Nina’s relationship was needlessly antagonistic. Part of his job was to find Valentin, but he wasn’t going to pressure her about Charlotte anymore and the traffic cam footage didn’t need to see the light of day. Nina asked what the catch was.
Laura said, as far as she knew, the PCPD was treating it as a single car accident, and Curtis said it wasn’t the other driver’s fault, but if they had stopped, an ambulance could have been called and they could have gotten Jordan out sooner and further away before the car exploded. Laura suggested the other driver didn’t know there was an accident, and Curtis said the only way to know was to find him. Laura asked if he held them responsible.
Nathan told Lulu that Rocco came clean to Britt, and Lulu was worried that Britt would sacrifice Rocco if she needed leverage. Nathan said Britt loved Rocco and had come to him. She’d been on the pier that night, but she wasn’t the problem. Rocco was.
Curtis said they didn’t know why the driver didn’t stop and deserved information, but Laura said moral responsibility didn’t always translate to legal accountability. Curtis said it was a crime to flee the scene of an accident, but Laura said, only if they knew there had been an accident. Curtis said, if it was Isaiah, it would complicate things between him and Portia, and they were in a good place, but he and Jordan almost died. The crash was an accident, but driving away was a choice. She asked if he really believed it was Isaiah or did he want it to be.
Brook told Alexis that the PCPD was looking for Phoebe’s family, but had come up with nothing. If there was no family, how long before she was officially declared a ward of the state?
Willow told Elizabeth that Drew did that a lot. He wanted to be his old self and it was his way of expressing his anger and frustration. Elizabeth said there were eye-tracking devices that translated to words. Willow could get her husband back.
Jack said there was no catch, and Nina said he must have realized she was right, that Carly would kick him to the curb if she found out. He said he didn’t see the need to rock the boat, but if Charlotte happened to confide in her, he’d appreciate it if she passed it along. Nina flashed back to Valentin saying he wanted her to pass information along that he wanted Jack to have, and told Jack they’d call it done and walk away. He said, done. If she did give him information, he’d make sure no one knew it came from her. He left, and Jacinda asked why Charlotte was rude to him. Charlotte said he was the reason her dad was a fugitive, but Jack wouldn’t find him in a million years.
Josslyn told Lucas that she and her mom weren’t speaking, and she’d said some things she regretted. Lucas said it was usually her mom that said things everybody regretted, so it was progress, and she said, nice try. He said it would pass. It’s what their family did. In the meantime, he’d keep an eye on her mom. They’d just had dinner and at the moment, Josslyn might be right to question her mom’s choices.
Michael told Carly that Chase was blind to Willow’s manipulations. He didn’t see her for what she was. Carly asked if he thought Chase was still in love with her, and he said Chase was supposedly happily married and was doing this for another woman. She asked if he thought they were having an affair, and he said, not yet, but it just needed a little fuel. She asked what he’d get out of it, and he said it would be a massive scandal. Willow would be removed from her seat and his advantages would work again. Carly said it could work, but would destroy Brook’s marriage and life. Did he want to do that?
Michael said he loved Brook, but as awful as it was, he knew the truth about Willow now. He hadn’t known who she was, like Brook didn’t know who Chase was. He saw Chase for who he really was, convinced of his own moral superiority. He wasn’t going to force Chase to cheat on Brook, but he’d construct circumstances favorable to an affair. She asked why Willow would cheat, and he said she was alone in the world and didn’t do well alone. She needed someone to reinforce her belief in herself. Willow wanted to be the person Chase thought she was.
Willow told Elizabeth that she’d looked into it, but was concerned it would send Drew the wrong message. He would take it as her not believing in him and accepting his condition as permanent. She couldn’t do that because he was a proud man. Elizabeth said it must be daunting to add one more thing, but he’d been trying hard to communicate. Willow’s and Drew’s lives would be better if he could talk to her.
Alexis asked if Brook and Chase had talked about adopting Phoebe, but Brook said she thought they were afraid to say it out loud. They wanted Phoebe back with her family and it felt wrong to give her to strangers, abandoning her all over again. They already loved her. Alexis said that might be what they had to do.
Charlotte was snippy with Nina, and Nina said she owed Charlotte an apology for not being a good friend. She was sorry for letting Charlotte down and promised to do better. Charlotte said she hadn’t expected anything from Nina anyway. She was never really Nina’s daughter.
Nathan said Rocco was struggling, and Lulu said of course (🍷) he was, but he wouldn’t be in this situation if he hadn’t been following Britt. Nathan said if it was found out that Rocco shot Cullum, everything they’d done to protect him would go down the drain, and it was only a matter of time before Rocco told Dante. She said she’d talk to him, but he said that wasn’t working, and she asked what they should do. He said they needed to send Rocco away for his own good.
Josslyn wondered what was going on with her mom, but Lucas told her that he shouldn’t have said anything. She said, he did. So spill. If her mom had gone rogue or was trying to rescue Jason, she needed to know. Lucas said what Carly was doing wasn’t dangerous or illegal, but Josslyn said she wasn’t leaving his side until he told her and she had all day. He said, fine. Carly was cheating on Brennan.
Brook wondered if being Phoebe’s foster parents worked in their favor, and Alexis said it was a complicated situation. When they’d decided to take Phoebe in, they did it with the understanding that it was temporary. They couldn’t cut the line ahead of families waiting to adopt. Brook said, what about what was best for Phoebe? but Alexis said that wasn’t for them to decide. If they really wanted to adopt Phoebe, the sooner they made it official, the better.
Curtis asked if Laura thought he wanted it to be Isaiah because of his relationship with Portia, and Laura said Isaiah was a doctor who’d taken an oath to do no harm. Why would he keep quiet about it? It was the man Portia cheated on him with and it had caused uncertainty about the baby. There had to be a part of him that wanted to punish Isaiah. He said Portia was planning a future with Isaiah and their futures were entwined, and she asked how he felt about Isaiah being a part of that. He said he didn’t love it, but had to accept Isaiah would be part of the baby’s life, like or not. If Isaiah was the one, he thought Portia needed to know what kind of man he was. Laura said maybe Curtis shouldn’t be the one to prove it.
Jacinda asked if Charlotte was okay, and Charlotte said she used to think Nina loved her, but she couldn’t trust Nina and neither could her dad. Willow came in to see Nina and went into her office. She asked why Nina didn’t tell her that Elizabeth was worried about Drew, and Nina said she thought she’d played it off, but Willow said, not well enough. Elizabeth was pushing her to get an eye-tracking device so he could communicate. Nina said the second Drew could tell people what was going on, it was all over.
Josslyn asked, who and how long? Did Brennan know? Lucas said Carly admitted no details, which made him think he knew the person and didn’t like them. Josslyn flashed back to asking Carly if she was aiding and abetting a fugitive, and Lucas said he was worried Carly was with Sonny again, but Josslyn said it wasn’t Sonny. Her mom was past that. Lucas said, as for Brennan knowing, he didn’t think so. Carly was working hard to keep it a secret and he supposed it was none of his business. Don’t say anything to her. Josslyn said she wouldn’t and left.
Nathan told Lulu that they had to get Rocco out of Port Charles, but Lulu said, absolutely not. He said it would be good for Rocco to get away from where it happened, but she said it was also where everyone who cared about him lived. He said Rocco was already isolating himself. She thought Rocco could contain this, but he couldn’t. They had to get him out. It would be better for everyone if Rocco wasn’t there and she needed to think about what Rocco needed, not what she wanted.
Lulu asked who Nathan thought he was. She wasn’t abandoning Rocco when he needed her most. Isaiah knocked at the door, and she told Nathan that Isaiah was a true friend. He’d treated Rocco’s hand, no questions asked. Isaiah gave her the last round of antibiotics and said he hadn’t realized Nathan was involved. Nathan asked what he knew, and Isaiah said he knew Rocco hurt his hand. Like Lulu said, no questions asked.
Brook said she’d talk to Chase tonight, and Alexis told her to have an honest conversation about what they both wanted. They’d wanted a private adoption, which was different from a state adoption. With a private adoption, the couples had more control rather than fighting the child welfare system. Brook asked if they had to go to court, and Alexis said, not only did they have to convince the court to ignore its own rules, they had to convince them to ignore the families waiting for a baby. She’d help, but it would be a hard fight and they needed to be up for it. Brook said she already knew in her heart what Chase would say. They wanted this baby. Phoebe belonged with them.
Lucas said he heard Willow came by, and Elizabeth said she’d asked Willow to stop by. They’d barely seen each other and Willow had managed to isolate herself with Drew and Scout. He asked if Willow really had anyone to talk to besides her, and Elizabeth said Nina was the only other adult around. She thought Willow was in over her head.
Charlotte said she took it that Jacinda didn’t like Willow, and Jacinda said, not one bit. She hated the way Willow had treated Michael and how she tried to play victim. She was the one who cheated. Charlotte said, if she hadn’t, Jacinda and Michael might not be together, and Jacinda said, good point. Charlotte said there was nothing worse than someone who pretended to care. It turned out she couldn’t trust Nina. She never thought Nina would turn against her father, but now… Michael walked in.
Carly said it had been close. What if Michael had discovered Valentin? Valentin said then he would have had to kill him, and she told him not to joke about it. Michael would never say anything, but she didn’t want him involved. Michael showing up proved Valentin couldn’t keep hiding out there. Valentin said Brennan had gone from target to distraction. They had to shift the focus to Cullum and Sidwell. He wanted to use Nina to bait Jack into an ambush. She said he wasn’t going to kill Jack, right?
Michael asked if Charlotte would mind getting him coffee, and she left. Jacinda said Charlotte was about to tell her something about Valentin, but he said she didn’t need to press Charlotte or get involved. He’d found another way to get to Willow.
Willow told Nina that meant they had to find something to use against Drew sooner. Drew couldn’t expose them when he miraculously recovered.
Elizabeth told Lucas that she hadn’t expected Willow to push back. Maybe she’d think about it and come around. It was important for Drew to communicate beyond yes and no. Lucas said maybe Willow didn’t want to hear what Drew had to say.
Nathan said Isaiah couldn’t discuss this with anyone, and Isaiah said he understood doctor/patient confidentiality. He didn’t know what happened and didn’t want to. As a doctor, he couldn’t disclose that he’d come there to anyone.
Laura asked where the investigation stood, and Curtis said he’d asked Turner to look into Isaiah and she said she would. Laura suggested he stay out of it and let the police do their job. If he was involved, Portia would see it as personal animosity. Curtis said he wasn’t good at waiting, and she told him to put his attention where it was needed most, on Jordan, and helping her get through this time. He said he was doing his best, and she said she was there for him if he needed anything. Try to have faith that whoever the other driver was, the police would find them and bring them to justice.
Alexis said if Brook and Chase wanted to adopt Phoebe, she’d help, but it wasn’t going to be easy. Brook said, nothing worthwhile was. What steps did they have to take? Alexis said she recommend doing a private search for Phoebe’s family. While that was going on, they’d talk to the state, who would do an extensive background check on both of them. Nobody’s life was spotless and they had to anticipate what would be dug up and have an explanation. They needed to be ready to answer for everything they’d ever done.
Valentin asked if it would be so bad if he killed Jack, and Carly said, yes. He asked if she still loved Jack, and she said, stop with the jealousy. If he killed Jack, the WSB would be all over him and not stop looking for him. He’d have to disappear again and she’d already lost Jason… They had to stick to the plan, exonerate him and leave Jack holding the bag. He said, when they ambushed Jack, they needed something Jack feared more than either of them.
Jack went into his hotel room, and found Josslyn there. He asked what she was doing there, and she said her mom owned the hotel. She’d used a master pass key to let herself in. They needed to talk. He said if Cullum found out she was WSB, she was dead. For her own survival, she needed to stay away from him. She said his only concern was what would happen to his relationship with her mother if something happened to her, but he said that wasn’t true. She said it was too late. He’d already lost Carly.
Thursday:
Ric told Sonny that Ethan was a guy who went where the money was. Everything suggested he could be bought, and some of Sonny’s enemies had very deep pockets. Sonny asked if he meant Sidwell.
At the MetroCourt Gardens, Ava told Sidwell about a piece a friend was willing to sell off-market that was perfect for Windymere. She wanted him to see it in person in St. Bart’s. Lucy joined them and asked when they left.
Nathan and Britt met Obrecht at Crimson, and Obrecht said she wanted to throw a party for James and for Nina to host.
Carly asked what Valentin thought of roast lamb, and Lucas asked who was cooking. She asked if he’d let himself in. Advance notice would be appreciated. He said he didn’t want to walk in on her and her mystery side man any more than she wanted him to.
Brennan yelled at Josslyn to stay low. She needed to stay away from him. If Cullum found out she was WSB, she was dead. Josslyn said he only cared because of Carly, but it was too late. He’d already lost her. She’d moved on with another man.
Nina said she’d do anything for James, and Obrecht wanted to discuss her vision, which included a trampoline and a water balloon fight. For the adults, she envisioned champagne, an oyster bar, and a caviar station. Nina said she loved the enthusiasm, but she didn’t have room for that in her penthouse, and Obrecht said the most important thing was that James share the day with Nathan. The memories would be irreplaceable.
Ava said the trip was strictly business, but Sidwell said his next two weeks were slammed. Lucy said she had a tiny bit of Deception business they should discuss, and Ava said she’d love to sit in.
Sonny said he knew Ric was looking out for him, but Luke’s son wouldn’t sell him out. Ric said, how about Holly Sutton’s? Sidwell had evidence that could tie Sonny and Laura to Dalton’s death. He also blamed Sonny for Marco’s murder. Now wasn’t the time to take the chance. Why was he willing to risk everything on a gamble he didn’t need to make?
Carly was sorry she’d told Lucas, and he asked if they guy was staying there. She said, of course (🍷) not, and he said she needed to end it now.
Brennan said he didn’t believe Josslyn, but she said it was the truth. He said she was just mad at him, but she said it had nothing to do with that. He said, if it wasn’t retaliation, what was it? and she said she was telling him a truth he didn’t want to hear.
Nina said she’d have her assistant look into vendors for the party in the morning, and went into her office. Obrecht wanted a minute with Britt, who told Nathan to save himself. He told her, good luck, and left. Obrecht wanted to know why Britt wasn’t supportive. She didn’t help convince Nathan that they should have a grand affair for James. Now they’d be eating pizza and compressed chicken off paper plates. Britt said James would just be happy they were all together, but Obrecht said she wanted James to have a better childhood than she’d given Britt or Madeline had given Nathan. She wanted him to look back and remember Nathan being a wonderful father. Not like his own. Faison was on her mind because someone had been asking questions about him and Britt’s brother.
Sonny said his gut told him that he could trust Ethan, and Ric suggested testing him by offering him money to leave. $50,000 would peke his interest. If he could frame it as a way to honor Luke, all the better. Sonny said it wasn’t a bad idea, when Ethan came by.
Brennan said he and Carly loved each other, but Josslyn said Carly had never forgiven him for her close proximity to Vaughn and not being warned. Jason was also one of her closest friends. He said Jason’s arrest had nothing to do with him and he’d risked his career to track Jason down. Josslyn said Carly didn’t forgive easily and never forgot, and he asked her to give him a name.
Sonny told Ric that Ethan was watching Lucy for him, and Ethan told him about seeing her with Sidwell and Ava at the MetroCourt. Sonny said he kept warning Lucy, but she’d said Sidwell was a nice guy. Then she got angry when he didn’t choose her over Ava and was going after him behind the scenes. She was cutting him out of Deception. Ethan said, it was tense, and Ric said, two women circling one man never ended well.
Sidwell left the table, and Lucy asked if Ava would leave since she’d love to have a dinner with Sidwell alone. Ava said Lucy was using Sidwell’s pity investment to hover. Step aside gracefully. Lucy said he’d made it clear he had no interest in choosing between them, which was fine with her. When she’d arrived, it was clear he needed rescuing. If Ava was threatened, she should bow out. Ava said she wasn’t going anywhere. She and Sidwell had a meaningful connection and it was only a matter of time before he got rid of Lucy. Maybe she should chat with him and tell him it was time to walk away from Deception. Lucy pretended not to like that idea.
Britt asked who’d been asking about Faison and Nathan, and Obrecht said, Josslyn Jax. She’d already been thinking of Faison because Felicia had asked her to go to France and convince Anna he was dead. She’d said no, but had been reconsidering when Josslyn cornered her asking questions. Josslyn seemed to be suggesting Nathan’s return wasn’t what it seemed, but all that mattered was her son was home and the same man she always loved.
Lucas said he’d been talking to Kristina about those they’d lost and he worried Carly was endangering herself and the moss bowl🎍. She had a weakness for dangerous men and had almost lost her life at Valentin’s hands because of Jack. It never had to happen. This was her chance to break the pattern. He was scared of losing her after losing Marco. Do it for him.
Josslyn said she didn’t know his name, but if Jack thought about it, he’d see she was right. Carly had been slipping away at odd hours and had been distant and vague. She went to one place and showed up at another. There was a lightness about her, a happiness that said things had changed and Jack wasn’t the one she was thinking about anymore. He asked if that’s why she’d come to see him, but she said, things had gone sideways when he started yelling at her, but actually, she wondered if he knew any more about Nathan and his missing seven years and if there was a link to Faison. He said her questions were above her pay grade, and she said that was fine. It was a pleasure enlightening him. She left.
Ric left, and Sonny asked how Ethan was settling in. Ethan said he didn’t realize how much he’d missed Port Charles. The burger at Bobbie’s was better than he’d remembered. Sonny said Bobbie’s never disappointed, but there were other places that didn’t live up to the memory of them. Ethan asked what Sonny was trying to say, and Sonny said if Ethan came to Port Charles to get some quick cash, there was no reason to cover. If he was in a tight spot financially, Sonny wanted to take care of it cleanly, out of respect for Luke. Ethan said he appreciated it, but it sounded like Sonny wanted to pay him to get out of town. Sonny said, $30,000 was a lot of money to fix his problems and he was trying to do something good for his friend’s son. Ethan said he loved money, but he could make it anywhere. There was only one Port Charles. He appreciated it, but he passed. Sonny said that was that, and Ethan laughed and said, it was a test, wasn’t it? He was sure Ric suggested it. Ric didn’t trust him. Sonny said, maybe, but he did. He had another job for Ethan.
Carly said she’d do anything for Lucas, but his impression was way off. The man she was seeing was dangerous, but not to her. He protected her. Lucas said she used to say that about Sonny, but she said this was different. They kept each other in check and stopped each other from leaning into their worst instincts. Lucas said anyone who could reign her in was something, but if this guy was so good for her, why couldn’t they be together? She said they weren’t at a place where they could do that, and he asked what Brennan would do if he found out. She said she wasn’t thinking about it, but if it happened, she’d handle it. Her mystery man would help. She could trust him and he’d stand by her. She was sure of it. Lucas said she’d really fallen for him.
Jack made a drink and flashed back to Josslyn’s visit, then Carly saying her dates were confused. He remembered seeing the two wine glasses when Carly said she’d been alone.
Josslyn went to Nina’s office, coming in peace and bearing a skinny vanilla latte. She said she owed Nina an apology. Michael’s marriage ending the way it did caused her to be… Nina said, completely unhinged? and Josslyn said they all made mistakes, especially when protecting those they loved. Nina said she didn’t buy it, but she was curious. Why was Josslyn really there? Josslyn said she needed advice about Nathan.
Sidwell returned, and Lucy said there was a shipment that was causing her concern. They’d received more zincite than needed and she wondered where the extra was going. Ric came by and asked to steal Ava for a second, but Ava said she didn’t think so. Ric said he promised he wouldn’t hold her captive for long (BA-DUM-CHH!).
Nathan went to Britt’s office and asked why she wanted to see him. She said he was blowing it. Someone was asking questions about him and if he wasn’t careful, they’d get answers. He asked if she was talking about Josslyn.
Nina asked what advice Josslyn was looking for, and Josslyn said, nothing major. She and Nathan had worked out together and he’d totally pushed her. She wanted to get him a thank you present and maybe ask him to be a regular workout partner, but she didn’t know what to get him. Nina said Josslyn had interrupted her work for gift ideas? and Josslyn asked for any tips on how to approach him. She didn’t want to scare him off. Nina said Josslyn had a crush on Nathan.
Brennan went by Sonny’s, and Sonny asked if he should call his lawyer, but Jack said he was just looking for a little intel on Sonny’s ex-wife.
Ric said it looked like Ava was a third wheel, but Ava said, the only third wheel was Lucy. Ethan watched them covertly.
Lucy suggested she take Deception and the whole shipping mess off Sidwell’s plate, but he said he couldn’t possibly ask her to do that. She said she was offering, and he said he appreciated it, but he enjoyed Deception. It was a very useful company.
Carly asked why Lucas thought she was falling for her mystery man, and he said the look on her face when she talked about him, but she said there was no look. It was a complicated situation. Why was he pushing this? He said she could lie to him and Jack, but she had to be honest with herself. Her mystery man must mean a lot to her to risk seeing him behind Jack’s back. Jack wouldn’t be happy when he found out. He could ruin her life and destroy what she’d worked so hard for. She said she was aware and was going to make sure he never found out.
Brennan asked how much Sonny had been seeing Carly lately, and Sonny said they were both very busy. If Carly wasn’t talking to him about it, why was he? Jack asked if he’d noticed any unexplained absences or times she was supposed to be somewhere and wasn’t. Had he caught her in any lies? Sonny said Jack was talking like somebody who was very, very jealous. If he thought Carly was cheating or lying, maybe she’d wised up and figured out he was bad news.
Josslyn said she wasn’t into Nathan like that and would never go after someone else’s guy, and Nina said, he would never step out on Lulu. Her brother was the kindest, most loyal, man she knew. Josslyn said that had been her impression. That’s why she was surprised he’d moved on with Lulu and didn’t get back together with Maxie when she woke up. Nina said her brother bowed out gracefully, since Maxie had moved on and created a family with Spinelli. He was being his usual selfless self. Josslyn said she guessed what Maxie and Nathan had was really special. What did Nina think it was that made their love story so epic? Nina asked why she wanted to know, and Josslyn said she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with Dex, and Maxie went through something similar – while she was pregnant. On the hard days, she told herself, Maxie got through it somehow, pregnant, and she didn’t know how to do that. She saw similarities in her own life. Nina said it was understandable. Grief came in waves at unexpected times. Maxie and Jay seemed perfect for each other. He’d told her about how they got handcuffed together on 4th of July and had to walk a mile to get the keys. She thinks that’s when Nathan started to look at Maxie differently. Josslyn should see the look in his eyes when he told that story. She didn’t mean to insult Lulu, but she knew her brother, and he never stopped loving Maxie and never would.
Britt asked how Nathan knew it was Josslyn, and he said she’d shown up at the gym asking questions. He’d handled it. Britt said, not very well. She followed up with mutter. His whole plan relied on Nathan falling out of the sky after seven years and people just accepting he had no idea where he’d been. It was a huge leap, but it worked because everyone loved Nathan so much. They wanted him to be alive. But the whole thing fell apart if anyone started asking questions, and they were. He said, people weren’t, but a person was. Josslyn was a ditzy sorority girl. Who cared? Britt said, he should. Josslyn wasn’t just some ditzy sorority girl. She was a WSB agent.
🫔 Friday’s Enchilada…
Curtis tells Jordan that he thinks he’s going to call Trina and tell her that he can’t make it to The Savoy tonight. He would rather stay and spend the evening with her. Besides, it’s Trina they’re talking about. She’s got plenty of friends to keep her company. Jordan says, he’s not backing out on Trina. He’s been by her side day and night. He’s allowed to take a break. He says, she’s not getting sick of him, is she? and she says, never. It would make her feel better if he had a night out. And it would mean so much to Trina to have some time with him. Come on. Make the two women in his life happy. He says, okay. He will. But if there’s anything she needs… She says she’ll call him. She thinks she might still have his number around here somewhere. He says, funny, and she says, now go. Go, go. Have fun and give her best to Trina. He says he will, gives her a kiss, and leaves.
Josslyn walks into the apartment, and Trina says, hey. She’d better hurry up and get changed. It’s getting late. Josslyn says, for what? Did they have plans? Trina says, yeah. Doesn’t she remember? She told Josslyn that Gio’s friend Michael James Scott is performing at The Savoy tonight. Josslyn says, Trina did tell her that. She forgot. She’s so sorry. She wishes she could come, but she has something really important she needs to do.
At The Savoy, Molly asks Cody if he can believe they’re going to see Michael James Scott. She’s always wanted to see him in Aladdin on Broadway. He says, who knows? Maybe she still will. This place is buzzing. Good for Curtis. Molly says, Michael’s so amazing. He plays the genie. Cody says, yeah, he knows. He really liked him in Something Rotten where he played the minstrel. She says, excuse me, I didn’t know you were into musicals, and he says, okay, well, technically, he hasn’t seen any, but from what he saw online, Michael made him want to see the play. And he has his own genie. One of his wishes has already come true. She says hers too. Is he mad she dragged him here? He says, dragged him? Is she kidding? If he ever turns down a chance to see her all dolled up and sexy, take him out. Put him down. He’s already near death. She says, he thinks she’s sexy? and he says he thinks she’s magic in human form. And that human form is very sexy. They kiss.
Chase tells Gio that it meant a lot to Brook that he invited her to his friend’s show, and Gio says he feels bad that he didn’t tell her about the open mic at Charlie’s, but even though he’s not performing tonight, he figured she’d enjoy this. Chase says, it’s very thoughtful, and thanks him for both of them.
Emma looks at a photo of Baby Phoebe on Brook’s phone and says, oh my God. She’s adorable. Brook says, and she’s getting cuter by the day, and Emma asks, so what’s going on with finding her family? Have they at least tracked anybody down? Brook says, not yet, and Emma says, and what happens if they don’t find anyone? Brook says they’re still figuring that out.
Carly is in Sonny’s old kitchen with the moss bowl🎍. She sets a grocery bag down, when Valentin peeks out and says, it’s like they’re in Grand Central Station here today. First Michael, then her brother, now a delivery man. She says, let’s hope that’s the last visitor of the night, and he says he hopes so. He thought maybe she’d invited law enforcement to force him to stay in the attic. She says she could host a PCPD potluck and he still wouldn’t stay in the attic, and he says he thought she was bringing home take-out from the MetroCourt. She says, yes, but he wanted to cook so badly, she thought she’d do him a favor. He says, oh, so he’s cooking and she’s doing him the favor? What’s that all about? She says she likes hers medium rare.
Jack says, if Sonny is implying Carly is cheating on him… Sonny says, that’s not what he’s implying, but if she was, he wouldn’t be upset, and Jack says he bets. Has Sonny been pressuring her to leave him? Sonny says he and Carly live separate lives. He wouldn’t interfere in her relationships, okay? If Jack and her are going south or whatever’s happening, that has nothing to do with him.
Jordan looks at a photo of her and Curtis on her phone and flashes back to telling him that she loves him and them kissing just before the crash. Brick walks in with flowers and asks if she’s up for a visit from her not so secret admirer.
Nathan asks what makes Britt think Josslyn Jax is a WSB agent? and she says she doesn’t think. She knows Josslyn is. He asks if she has proof, and she says she and Josslyn have openly discussed it on more than one occasion. Is that proof enough for him? He asks how long she’s known, and she says, since the Five Poppies. He says, and she didn’t tell them? Is she working with Josslyn? She says, of course (🍷) not. She didn’t say anything because if Cullum or Sidwell found out, they would kill Josslyn. That’s why this has to stay between them. He says he doesn’t think he can do that.
Trina asks, what’s more important than seeing Michael James Scott live and in person at The Savoy? and Josslyn says, studying. Finals are around the corner and if she doesn’t pass, she risks not graduating on time. Trina says, it seems like she’s always studying. And she’s pretty sure Josslyn was the one who told her that she needed to have a social life. Josslyn says she knows, but she’s so close to finishing one of her assignments and she can’t afford to get distracted right now. Trina says, come on. She has exams too, but the break would be great for the both of them. Besides, it’s just one night and she’ll really regret not seeing him. Josslyn says, wow. Trina’s guilt trip is almost as good as her mom’s. Trina thanks her, and Josslyn says, tell you what. Go ahead and if she makes decent progress, she’ll meet Trina there. Okay? Trina says, she’s going to try to be there? and Josslyn says, yes. She’s going to try to be there. She’s sorry. She promises. She hugs Trina, and Trina says, okay. She’ll see Josslyn there. She leaves, and Josslyn goes into the bedroom.
Britt says, the only reason she’s telling Nathan about Josslyn is so he’ll stay sharp. Just keep playing good cop Nathan and everything will be fine. But no matter what, he can’t give Josslyn up to Cullum or Sidwell. He says, how did Cullum not know that she’s WSB? He’s their guy in the Bureau. She says, she works for Chief Brennan and he’s managed to keep her off of Cullum’s radar. He took her off the case and warned her to stay away from it. He says, well, she’s asking questions about him. Clearly, she’s not listening. She says, it’s not actually about him. It’s about their father. She’s been curious about him ever since she found his book and a pack of cigarillos out at Windymere. He asks how that happened, and she says, Josslyn was out there during the snowstorm, with Cullum, who apparently bought her whole ditzy sorority girl act. That’s why she was worried he would. Then he could slip up and she would pick up on it immediately. But he can’t. Not with her. Nathan flashes back to Josslyn saying, it’s not like she had parents that were forcing her to become a doctor, and him saying, consider herself lucky. Expectations can be demanding.
Gio tells Brook that he and Emma had a great time in New York. Afterwards, they had dinner at one of Michael’s favorite places. Brook asks if he ever lit the lantern too close to the magic carpet, and he says, and risk going to Broadway jail? No way. But they did see it onstage during the show. She says, that magic carpet can fly, right? and he says, somehow. That might really be magic. She says she knows. What did Emma think of it all? He says, she was spellbound and he was excited to bring her to a place of so much meaning for him, and the show itself is just mind-blowing. She says she knows. A bunch of them from Bensonhurst went to see him that summer he filled in for the violinist. She’s pretty sure they took up half the theatre. He says he remembers that and they did. He was really touched that so many people came out to support him. She says, they’re so proud of him. Always have been, always will be.
Valentin says, just to be clear, is he going to be allowed to eat any of this food he’s preparing, or is he going to be expected to disappear like any well-trained servant? and Carly says, for a man who was practically begging her to let him cook dinner tonight just a couple hours ago, he’s doing an awful lot of complaining. She thought cooking helped him decompress. He says he was just wondering if this is her attempt at an apology, and she says, an apology? For what? He says, for being hard on him for calling the clinic and checking on Anna, and she says, maybe she was a little fresh. He says, good. So she can admit when she’s wrong.
Jack says he’s glad to hear Sonny’s not interfering in his relationship with Carly, but just for the record, he never said they were having problems. Sonny says, no, Jack just thinks she’s lying to him. Jack says he’s worried about her. She’s been pretty shaken up since the WSB took Jason. Sonny says, since he brought that up, he wants to ask Jack something about his colleague, the one Jason shot, and Jack says, Director Cullum. What about him? Sonny says, if Jason shot him, there has to be a reason. Does he have any idea why?
Jordan thanks Brick for the flowers and for coming to see her, and he says, anything for her. He wishes he could have made it here sooner, but he’s been keeping tabs on her. He knew she was in good hands. She says, now that sounds like a HIPPA violation to her, but she won’t tell if he won’t, and he says he knew he could count on her there too. But if he had broken a law or two here and there, it would have been purely out of concern. How is she? She says, honestly, not great. She just doesn’t know what her life is going to be like when she gets out of here.
Chase tells Brook, sorry that it took so long. Michael James Scott can sure pack a room. Look what he got while he was waiting in line to use the bathroom. Olivia and Ned sent over a photo of Phoebe. She looks at his phone and says, look at their little Phoebe, and he says, it’s only their first night away and he already misses her. She says, which reminds her. There’s something she wanted to go over with him. Cody comes by and says, hey, mom and dad, and Brook says, temporary foster mom. He says his bad. Being temporary foster parents must be keeping them busy. He hasn’t seen them around the estate much lately. Chase says, between taking care of the baby and the long hours at work, life has been pretty hectic, and Molly says she can imagine. She heard Turner’s really been pressuring the PCPD to find the other driver in Jordan’s accident. Any luck? Chase says they have a small lead, but nothing concrete yet, and Molly says she can’t believe the other driver didn’t even stop to check on Curtis and Jordan. Chase says, it is a little weird. It’s not like they caused the accident. Makes him wonder if they had something to hide. Molly says, yeah, maybe they’re just a really terrible person, and Brook asks if they can just stop talking about this. They’re supposed to be having fun tonight. Molly says, yeah. Brook’s right. She’s sorry. Chase says, no shop talk, he promises, and Brook thanks him.
Nathan asks what Britt proposes they do about Josslyn, and she says, avoid her like the plague. If she asks to work out with him again, just say no… in a kind and gentle Nathan kind of way. He asks how well Josslyn knows Nathan, and Britt says, not very, but he still needs to play it safe. They’re so close to completing the project. They can’t have Josslyn screwing that up. He says, she won’t.
Jack says, as far as he understands it, Jason shot Cullum while interrupting a sanctioned WSB operation. He assumed Jason was under Sonny’s orders when he did it. Sonny says he doesn’t know anything about this Cullum guy. He doesn’t have a reason to want him dead and doesn’t think Jason did either. Jack says, maybe he doesn’t know his boy as well as he knows his ex-wife. Britt Westbourne ID’d Jason as Cullum’s shooter. Jason didn’t deny it. As far as the WSB is concerned, that’s enough to put him away for life. Sonny says, so due process is not something the WSB worries about? Jason deserves a fair trial. Jack says, yeah, well, he wouldn’t count on that, and leaves.
As Valentin preps the meal, Carly says she wasn’t wrong. It was stupid of him to take such a huge risk by calling the clinic again. That call could have been traced. He says, okay. He admits he put them both at risk. Can she admit she was overreacting? She says, overreacting? He might as well have put a neon sign above her house that said, Valentin is here. Don’t bother knocking. Come right in. He says, now she’s being hyperbolic, and she asks if now he’s saying she’s being overly emotional about his independent decision to put targets on their backs, but he says, no. She says, thank you. She has to think about Donna. Donna needs her. He says, well, Anna needs him. She needs information he has. She says, what information? He has suspicions? He says, yes, that Cullum was involved in Anna’s mental break. And if that’s the case, maybe she has information on Cullum that can help them bring him down, and Sidwell. That’s their plan. She says, yeah, that’s not why he called the clinic, and he says, what? She says, he didn’t call the clinic because of Sidwell and Cullum. He called the clinic because he has feelings for Anna. He says, now she’s jealous, but she says she’s not jealous. She’s annoyed. She’s annoyed that he’d let his personal feelings cloud his judgement. She doesn’t want to go to prison because of his infatuation with his ex. He says, so now she’s questioning his judgement. They’ve been working together for months. She says, where’s that gone? Josslyn is still in the WSB, he’s still a fugitive, and Jack is free. He says he’s doing everything that he can, and she says, what is that exactly? Really. What is he doing? He asks if she thinks he enjoys being in the attic all day, and she says she didn’t ask him to come here. She’s putting her freedom at risk. He says, she’s right. This is not working. He walks out.
Trina says it’s good to see her dad, and Curtis says, her too. Kai says, hey, Mr. Ashford, and Trina asks how Jordan is doing. Curtis says, she’s taking it day by day, and Trina says she guesses that’s all you can do, right? He says, right now it is, and she thanks him for putting all this together on such short notice. She knows he’s already dealing with a lot. He says, anything for his beautiful daughter. Besides, it’s Michael James Scott they’re talking about. Kai says, that’s true, and Trina says she’s just glad he’s here. She didn’t know if he’d be able to make it. Kai says he told her to have a little faith, and Curtis says he debated staying at the hospital with Jordan, but she insisted she was fine without him, so here he is. Although he does hate leaving her at the hospital alone all night.
Brick says, look. He knows Jordan is going through it right now and it’s a long recovery, but GH is top-notch. It’s the best in the business. She’s going to be okay. She says she knows and she appreciates his support, but enough about her and her condition. Tell her what he’s been up to. He must have some good stories to share. He says, she knows he does. It’s him after all. But she knows he keeps it close as well, so he stays out of trouble. She says, oh, come on. He’s got to give her something. She needs the distraction. He says, she knows he can’t say no to her. Okay. He can’t give her any names, but recently, he helped overthrow a foreign dictator.
Gio tells Emma that when he plays in the orchestra, he gets comp tickets, and she says, that seems fair. He says, but you only get so many. So he had to keep his performance under wraps. She says, he was on Broadway. He had to know word was going to get out eventually and that every relative and neighbor he ever had was going to flood that theatre just to see him playing, and she bets they were very proud of him. He says, oh, they were. And they let the whole theatre know it too. Every time they heard his violin, they clapped and they cheered. She says, that must have been confusing for the actors, and he says, and for the audience, and for the rest of the orchestra. She says, so he wasn’t the only violinist, was he? and he says, no, but the other guy was a concert master. His Aunt Sophia was so convinced she could pick out his playing from the rest of the orchestra. She says, and which one is Aunt Sophia again? and he says, she’s one of Gloria’s best friends. She says, so technically, not an aunt, but he says, no, she is. He just told her. She says, no. He just told her that she was a friend of Gloria’s. So how many of these 20 plus aunts that he told her about are actually related to him by blood? He says, about half, but they’re all his aunts, and she says, oh my God.
Chase says he’s going to grab another drink and asks if Brook wants something, but she says she’s good and thanks him. Molly says she’ll go with him and they leave. Brook sees Trina and thanks her for bringing the package to the house, and Trina says, no problem. Anytime. So are they here to see Michael James Scott or did they just pick the perfect night? Brook says, oh no. They’re so excited to hear him sing. Speaking of amazing singers, she hopes Trina will take her up on her offer of making her a showcase. Trina asks what she means, and Brook says, it’s kind of like an audition. She gets a couple of producers, a few ANR guys… Trina says, oh, okay. Well, that is a lot. You know what? She’s going to have to think about that. Brook says she hopes Trina says yes. She’s got such a gorgeous voice. Trina thanks her and says she should probably go find Kai. It was nice to see Brook. Brook says, her too, and Cody says, good to see her. Trina leaves, and Cody asks if Brook is getting back in the music biz, but Brook says she just offered to help Trina. It’s not a big deal. He asks if she’s all right. She seems a little on edge. She says, yeah. She just thinks that all those late nights with the baby are making her a little cranky. He says, all right. But she kind of has her Camp Martha look. She asks, what’s a Camp Martha look? and he says, it’s the look on her face she had when she asked him to drive her to the bus station all those years ago. It tells him she’s worried. Maybe a little overwhelmed. She says, maybe she is. She has a baby back home with no family and an uncertain future. Her dad insisted that she and Chase go out and try to relax, but it’s easier said than done. He says, all right, but if you need anything, you and me. She knows they’re ride or die, right? She says she knows and thanks him.
Carly sets the two glasses of wine on the counter, looks at the food on the kitchen island, and swipes the peppermill and salt shaker onto the floor. In the attic, Valentin kicks things around, and Carly smashes a plate in Sonny’s old kitchen, frightening the moss bowl🎍. She heads upstairs, and when Valentin opens the door, she’s there. They kiss, and he takes her hand, leading her to the bedroom.
Curtis tells Molly and Cody, good to see them both, and Molly says, good to see him too. Cody says, Curtis has got to be thrilled with this turnout. It’s awesome. Curtis says, it’s about what he expected for Michael, and Molly says, of course (🍷). She hopes he gets a chance to enjoy the performance tonight. She’s sure he’s worried about Jordan. Curtis says he worries about Jordan 24/7, but she’s resilient. She’s getting stronger every day, and he knows she’ll get through this. Molly says she knows. There’s truly nobody else like her. Jordan was always so sweet to her when she and TJ (🦉) were together. Please tell Jordan that she’s thinking about her and praying for her recovery. Curtis says he certainly will.
Brick tells Jordan, so he’s got the dictator’s bodyguard on one side and the head of the resistance on the left. And then the mistress – one of them anyway – comes bursting into the room and get this, she’s waving a machete. Jordan says, they always have a machete, and he says, I know, right? She says, so what did he do? and he says he’ll tell her the rest when he sees her next time. She says, oh, come on. Is it because he can’t remember it all or because he needs more time to make up the rest of the story? He says, she cuts him to the quick. Does she think he’s lying? She says, well, lying, no. Embellishing, however… He says, there might be a little bit of something.
Gio thanks Trina again for setting this up with her dad, and she says, trust her. It wasn’t a hard sell. He says, still, thank you. And Michael puts on an unforgettable show. Kai says, speaking of unforgettable shows, when are Gio and Trina teaming up for another open mic? Gio says he’s down if Trina is, and Trina says, as much as she loves performing with him, and she does, if she’s going to do that again, she needs time to work up the nerve. Emma says, with a voice like hers, she shouldn’t be nervous. In fact, she bets if Trina wanted a career in music, she could have one. Trina says, you know what? That’s so funny, because Gio’s mom just said the exact same thing to her. She even offered to help her. Emma says, that’s really exciting. Is she going to take her up on it?
Brook says she owes Chase an apology. She shouldn’t have snapped at him earlier. He says, don’t worry about it. Things have been stressful lately. Great, but stressful. She says, it’s true. And as much as she loves caring for Phoebe, she thinks she’s just a little worn out from baby duty. He says, which is why they should use this night out to forget about everything else. Just concentrate on the two of them. He kisses her.
Sonny goes to Britt’s office and asks if she’s got a minute. She asks if it’s about Jason, and he says he hasn’t heard from Jason, but he knows where he is.
On the phone, Josslyn says, hi there. I’m calling from Café Cherie. Am I speaking to Miss Reeves?… Oh, Miss Bracken. Well, perhaps you can confirm Miss Reeves dinner reservation for tonight… Oh, she has a meeting? Are you sure?… Oh, okay. No worries. It must have been an issue on our end. Thank you. She disconnects the call and says, okay. One down. Now Nathan. There’s a knock at the door and she ditches her stuff in another room. She opens the door to Nathan, and he says he’s sorry to come by unannounced. Can he come in?
Brick says if Jordan wants to know how the story ends, he’ll give her a call the second the doctor lets her up out of here. He can finish filling her in on the adventures of yours truly at this beautiful resort he knows in Turks and Caicos. His treat. She says, that’s very kind of him, but he knows she’s with Curtis now. He says, yeah, he knows. The guy he met at the MetroCourt restaurant the last time he was in town, right? Michael Corinthos’ colleague from Aurora. She says, that’s him, and he asks if it’s serious. She says, very, and he says, then he’d better be good to her. She says, he is.
Molly tells Cody that she feels guilty about Jordan. They were so close, but when she and TJ (🦉) split up and he moved away, it was a bit awkward. He says, maybe this is her opportunity to break the ice. Let Jordan know she still cares about her. She says, he’s right, and he says, hold on, and takes out his phone. He’s going to have to put that on the calendar. Cody was right. She says, stop, and he says he still can’t believe they were married before. She says, technically, she and TJ (🦉) were in a domestic partnership, and he says, still. It must have been hard when it ended. She says it was, but it was also for the best. They were so young when they first got together, she thinks they both needed a chance to discover who they were outside of being a couple. He says, so he guesses she could say they needed to sow their oats, and she says, definitely not. When was the last time anybody used the phrase, sow your oats? He says, uh, she did. In chapter 4 of Laredo Sunrise. She says she did? and he says, oh yeah. That is locked in the vault. She says, my God, that’s awful. She has to change that right away. He says, good luck.
Trina says, maybe Brook is just being kind, but Gio says, no, not about music. She made that offer because she knows Trina has talent. Trina says she never thought of singing as a career, and Emma says, well, maybe this is her chance to explore that. Trina says, what about her art studies? and Kai says, she doesn’t have to give them up. It doesn’t hurt to consider her options. She has a beautiful voice, and if she decides to pursue singing professionally, he knows she’d be a huge success.
Josslyn tells Nathan, come on in. So what brings him by? Is he here because she spoke to Nina? He says, no. Actually, he came by to see if she still wanted to be gym buddies. She says, that’s so funny. It’s actually what she was talking to Nina about. She wanted to take him up on his offer, but she felt really bad that she kept bringing up his dad and wanted to get him a gift to make it up to him. He says, she doesn’t have to do that, and she says she’s still sorry, by the way. It’s funny in retrospect, because Nina took it the wrong way. He says, how so? and she says, Nina thought she was into him, but Nina made it very clear he’s with Lulu. He says he’s sorry. Sisters can be overprotective. She says, that’s what they’re there for, right? She’s really happy for him and her cousin. Although she will say she was a little surprised when he didn’t get back together with Maxie. They have so much history. He says, yeah. Maxie moved on with Spinelli. But they share James and a lot of good memories. She says, that’s true. Nina actually told her about one of them. Him and Maxie on the 4th of July. He says, the 4th of July, and she says, yeah. They were handcuffed together and it was the moment he started to see Maxie differently. He says, yeah. How could he forget?
Britt says, Jason’s at a WSB black site in Jakarta? and Sonny says, according to Brennan, yeah. She asks if they can use that information to contact him, and he says he’s looking into it. He’ll let her know. She thanks him for keeping her in the loop. She wasn’t sure if he blamed her for what happened to Jason. He says, helping her was his choice. There’s nothing either of them could have done to stop him. She says she just wishes things had turned out differently, and he says, yeah. You know, there’s something weird about what happened at the pier. The official story doesn’t ring true to him. It’s too messy for Jason. He was protecting someone, wasn’t he? She says, yes, he was.
Carly and Valentin go into her bedroom and get busy. It’s so busy, there isn’t even a song part. She says she’s scared, and he says him too. Then they get back to being busy.
Jack lets himself into Sonny’s old kitchen. He looks around and sees the wine glasses. He heads upstairs.
Brick says, looks like duty calls, and Jordan says, well, coups aren’t going to stage themselves. She really appreciates him taking the time to come and see her. He says he’ll always be here for her. Take it easy. He gives her a kiss on the cheek and goes to the door. He says, she’s got this. He’s got faith in her. She thanks him and says, that means a lot, and he leaves. She looks at the flowers and smiles.
Curtis says he’s glad to see Chase and Brook are having a good time, and Chase says, they’re about to see a great show. It doesn’t get better than that. Brook says they were both so sorry to hear about Jordan’s accident. Is there anything they can do to help? Curtis says he is counting on her husband and the PCPD to track down the driver of the other car, and Chase says, don’t worry. They’re working on it. Curtis says he appreciates that. He just can’t believe the other driver didn’t stop and check on them. If they had… Brook says, what? and Curtis says, well, if they’d just stopped and checked on them, they wouldn’t have been stranded for the better part of an hour. He barely got Jordan out of that car before it exploded. It was bad enough that she’s scarred, but all that wasted time, she could have died.
Britt tells Sonny, Jason could have gotten away. He didn’t have to stick around and let Dante arrest him. Sonny says, who was he protecting? Her? She says, yeah. He insisted she tell the police that she saw him shoot Cullum. It’s the only reason she said anything. He says, she did the right thing. Jason knows what he’s doing. She says she just wishes he didn’t have to sacrifice himself, and Sonny says, Jason just wants her safe. And because Jason is his best friend, he’s going to do everything he can to look out for her. So if she needs him, just call him. She says, thank you, but she’s fine. She’s okay. He says, all right, but if she changes her mind and wants some help, she knows where to reach him. She says, thanks again. Hopefully, she’ll never need it, but you never know. He leaves.
Molly tells Cody that her editor just got back to her. She thinks the sowing wild oats line should stay. He says, it’s a good line, and she tells him that her editor also sent her tons of dates and cities for her book tour. He looks at her phone and says, oh, Nashville. He knows a great bed and breakfast they can stay at. She says, we? and he says, well, yeah. He’s not letting her go on this tour alone. She’s going to need a roadie.
Kai says they’ll see Gio and Emma in a bit, and he and Trina wander off. Emma tells Gio that hearing Michael James sing is going to be like reliving their time in the city, and he asks, what was her favorite part? She says, definitely being on stage with him, doing this, and kisses him.
Trina’s phone dings, and she tells Kai, hold on. Michael James Scott just texted her. He said he’ll be here soon. Kai says he can’t wait, and she says her neither. She just hopes that Josslyn doesn’t miss it.
Josslyn says she’s so happy that Nathan wants to keep working out with her. She’ll send him her schedule for next week and they’ll get something on the books. He says he’s here now. Why don’t they just work something out? She says she would love that, but she’s got to start her run before it’s too late, because everything just… As she heads for the door, he grabs her arm and says, it’s already too late.
Jack huffs and puffs and barges into Carly’s bedroom, finding her in bed alone. He says, where is he?
On Monday, Curtis introduces Michael James Scott; Nathan says he can’t let Josslyn go; Pascal tells Lucas that he should not be here; and Jack asks if Carly really thought there weren’t going to be any consequences.

Jenna went directly from making out with Ben to making out with Eddy in his bunk. She did not pass go or collect $200. When Captain Jason got up, he found the boat a mess and wasn’t too pleased. In Jason’s interview, he said the crew had to get their sh*t together. He also told Daisy that if Mike and Alesia couldn’t get their sh*t together, he’d make changes. Daisy told the two of them that they had to stop with the egos, and figure it out on their own, but it was clear that wasn’t going to happen. At the preference sheet meeting, the captain said that the next charter was four couples from Phoenix and all should be considered primaries. Guests Brit and Shanel were BFFs, two of the guys played for the Diamondbacks, and Shanel’s mom Joanna was having a birthday. In a side interview, Joanna said she wasn’t tolerant of mediocre food. However, when the guests arrived, they wondered if they could get merch, making me wonder if they didn’t have the superyacht confused with a Carnival cruise. Even though Daisy heavily suggested Ben speak with the guests regarding the meals, Ben refused. When he made wahoo fish for dinner, they said they wanted pasta, so he had to make that too, and in Daisy’s interview, she said, I told you so. She wasn’t wrong. Joanna said, Ben was slow as molasses, and in Ben’s interview, he said he thought of charter guests as the enemy and that Daisy was joining in on their fun. Joanna’s birthday theme was leopard (ugh) and Eddy and Mike gave her a lap dance (double ugh). Jenna told Eddy that they had no future, and in her interview, Daisy said João wasn’t making a move and confusing her. She also thought Ben was sending the wrong message to Ellie. In not listening to her and shooing her out of the galley, he was acting like it was okay to disrespect her. Ben was late to the tip meeting, reenforcing the guests’ complaint that he was slow, and ended up with the disco helmet of shame. Jason suggested that there be better communication, meal planning, and getting in front of the guests to see what they wanted. In Ben’s interview, he said he’d gotten the helmet because he was tardy and sucked at cooking. Still, the tip was a good one – $28K or $2100 each. Ben, Daisy, and João had a HOD dinner before joining the crew on their night out. Daisy wanted to know if she was getting her apology, but Ben acted like he didn’t know what she was talking about. He finally relented and they hugged it out. In his interview, he admitted she was probably right. Daisy and João tried to reason with Ben about his disrespect of the captain and crew, but instead of taking it in, Ben walked and called them twats.
Summer House
Carl opened Soft Bar, and Kyle made it all about him. When he addressed everyone, I thought he said Dove Bar, which showed where my head was at when I was watching. He said his brother was the inspiration for the bar, and in his interview, he told us that his brother passing away saved his life. Besides the usual crowd, the guests included lots of influencers and Carl’s mom. Lindsay wanted to keep her distance and said his mom had sent a weird text. She read it, and I thought maybe she was looking at it with weird eyes, because it was very sweet. Carl’s mom hunted her down anyway, and Lindsay could barely look at her, allowing her only a weird side hug. This totally annoyed me. All the old roommates were there, including Danielle, who Lindsay successfully ignored. Next week, Kyle spins out yet again. It looks like we’ll be going from this to the Reunion to In the City.

Michelle’s life was gymnastics growing up – she still knows her cartwheels! – and she was encouraging Isabella in that area. Michelle explained that her dad left the family because he thought people were after him. In his mind, he was trying to protect them. Brittany planned a pool party and recalled the last one being a disaster. In her interview, she said, this group freaked her out, and I can’t say I blame her. Luke was miserable, Kristen was frustrated, and Brittany said Jax made her feel worthless once she had a baby. In Brittany’s interview, she said her friends kept putting her in the middle and she couldn’t make anybody happy. Brandon told Kristen not to stress Brittany out, and in Kristen’s interview, she thought he should stay in his lane. Brittany started to think there was a hive mentality in the group, and Zack harangued Janet about a myriad of issues he had with her. Even though she agreed with him, he kept going, and in Janet’s interview, she said she was ready to apologize as long as they could end the convo. Weed was smoked and all was right with the world, but in Lala’s interview, she said every time they had a splendid day, it was the calm before the storm.
Southern Hospitality
There was the Pantygate of SH – Emmy having said she felt unsafe with Brad banging on her hotel door. She and Michols went blah-blah-blah, you’re not supportive, whatever. Joe planned a surprise pirate party for Maddi, who only wanted downtime. In Maddi’s interview, she said I t was an epic fail. To top it off, he forgot her costume in his truck, so she was the only one at a costume party with no costume. Shades of Grace and the pajama party. Speaking of, Grace met with Leva, and tried to finagle her job back, but Leva thought it best that Grace concentrate on her card gig and venues that didn’t serve alcohol. The group went on a trip to the DR where Maddi was ready to go international with her DJ’ing.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – Reunion Part 2
I hate myself for enjoying this, although I’m not loving Andy’s hair. Kyle and Dorit went at it, with Dorit whining that Kyle wasn’t supportive, and Kyle listing the times she was. Later, we did get the revelation that the way Dorit had protected Kyle was keeping quiet about relationships Kyle had that hadn’t been on camera. No surprise, Dorit overtalked her at every opportunity, and Kyle finally asked Andy to shut her up. Rachel started laughing so hard, it made me laugh harder. There was some stuff about Amanda having opinions on how Dorit was handling her divorce, and Jennifer joined the pack along with Kathy. We found out that Kathy had been on an AI Jell-O diet, which backfired on her, making her bloated. News flash: Don’t take AI diet advice or probably any other diet advice from the internet. Sutton and Jennifer apologized and made up. Not that I think it’s the reason, but they also agreed that the fans didn’t like them apart. Dorit whined about Erika and Sutton not showing for her book cover reveal <snort>, and Erika said Dorit had hurt her feelings by saying she’d been using her for a storyline when she’d bared her soul. I agree she’s been authentic this season. We even met her new man, sort of. I’d venture to say she’s matured, although a lot of it might be attributed to being relieved of some of the Tom burden, as well as the new relationship.
Ladies Of London: The New Reign
Myka had her first etiquette seminar on The Art of Showing Up. Mark-Francis told Missè that he was feeling badly about what Margo said and started to cry. In public! Missè went to her brother’s grave, where Kimi met her, since they’d gotten past Kimi’s insensitive remarks earlier in the season. Margo texted Mark-Francis, apologizing and asking him to meet. When they did, she admitted she hadn’t been kind and hadn’t been a good friend and took responsibility for that. Mark-Francis said he couldn’t go back to being close to people who put on an act after he’d chosen to be authentic long ago. While it started well, Mark-Francis kind of turned things by saying Margo had narcissistic tendencies. In Margo’s interview, she said Mark-Francis didn’t want to clear the air and move on, and it took off from there. Mark-Francis dipped out, and in his interview, he said Margo thought he was sexually attracted to her, which she confirmed in her interview, saying maybe he had conflicting feelings. I didn’t get that vibe whatsoever, so I had to agree with him in saying she was a lunatic. Lottie and Joshua had a date night, subsequently presenting a Joshua Kane fashion show. I like his stuff, but it’s for tall, thin people. Martha approached Margo, and in Margo’s interview, she said she felt alone. Martha said she didn’t recognize Margo, and Margo said Martha was the one who’d started making fun of her clothes. Then Martha gave her the best quote in the world: This is England. No one talks about anything. They just bitch about each other behind each other’s backs. That’s British society. Well said.
Real Housewives of Rhode Island
I did watch it this week, but for some reason, although I thought it had promise, it’s failing to hold my attention. Jack had a pirate birthday party on a boat (is this a thing now?), and Delores came, further fueling my problem in telling these women apart. There was a bunch of stuff about Brian cheating on Rulla, who seems more like she’s from Staten Island, and there was also a polo match, which seemed out of place.

👀 Last Weekend’s Watch…
Arizona. Netflix. A small satiric film where a man in heavy debt lives in a subdivision where all of the houses look the same. Like William Foster (Michael Douglas) in Falling Down, he has a lot to be depressed about and he’s a guy who’s had enough. After committing an accidental murder, he kidnaps his realtor and goes on a crime spree. There are times (again like Foster) that he’s all of us. He’s an antagonist with a bad back, telling his captive, one time he was in bed for eight days because he tried to tie his shoes. I could identify. Everything that can go wrong, does, like when his hostage escapes and he misses finding her because he’s busy playing games on his phone. He’s a man who thinks he deserves what others have without working for it, cutting a path of destruction along his way. The reviews weren’t great, but I found it amusing and entertaining. Except for – spoiler alert – one part with a dog. Dog lovers might want to fast forward. The acting is also excellent and Luke Wilson stands out as the realtor’s ex-husband.

The Requin. Netflix. Despite my love of real life sharks, I also love a good shark vs. people film. Jaelyn (Alicia Silverstone) and her husband Kyle (James Tupper) vacation in Viet Nam, staying in one of those rooms that sit above the water on stilts. Jaelyn has a problem with water, as it triggers a stillborn birth that she blames herself for. A storm comes and the cabin is knocked down, and the couple is forced to fend for themselves against the sea and what’s in it. The acting was stellar – I could feel their thirst, even though I had water and coffee in front of me, and their desperation. The scenery was beautiful, although it was hard to appreciate it, considering the intense situation. There seemed to be a lot of stock shark footage, and the close ups were iffy at times, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, especially Silverstone’s performance, which was absolutely brilliant. Even more impressive, she did most of her own stunts (see below). The reviews were mixed. You decide.

Good Boy. Hulu, AMC+. A man on the mend holes up with his dog in a haunted cabin belonging to his dead grandfather. A unique little story, a lot of it from the dog’s point of view, it’s not bad for a $1.98 budget, and Golden Retriever Indy is a pretty good actor. God knows, he’s more well-behaved and brave than the Golden I had, who was literally afraid of his own shadow. I didn’t love him any less for it, but still. Spoiler alert – he does just fine.

K-Pop Demon Hunters (again). Netflix. I’ve been over this one, but after reading The Birth of Korean Cool by Euny Hong, I needed to see it again. It’s got all the K – the songs, the unrequited love story, demons, weird legends, and the vibe. And if you love all things K, the book is a real gem. Toxic Avenger. Hulu. Winston is a custodian for the BTH company and finds out he has brain cancer. His insurance doesn’t cover it, and thinking mostly about his teenage son, he approaches his boss, begging for help, but gets less than nothing. BTH is also a big polluter and does some dirty dealing, so when Winston breaks in to steal money for his healthcare, he gets caught, shot, and thrown into a vat of nasty sludge. Instead of dying, he’s turned into an anti-hero. I saw the original, and barely remember it, but I have the feeling ti doesn’t hold a candle to this one, even if it’s just because of the budget. With Peter Dinklage as Winston and Kevin Bacon as his boss, the acting is above what you would think was the pay grade of a movie like this. It’s gory AF – one of the characters actually poses my forever question, who’s gonna clean up all this sh*t? – and makes its point when Winston teams up with an activist. It has a great soundtrack and is filled with the usual Freddy Krueger one-liners. The ending is actually uplifting, and the end credits very detailed.
