Monday:
Nina went to see Jack, who was now talking. She put the dose in a potted plant.
Elizabeth went to see Dante at the station to check on him.
Tracy asked Ric to come by the office about Deception. They needed Sidwell out of their business.
Pascal brought Josslyn’s food and acted like the jerk he is.
Laura told Lucas that she and Sonny needed his help. She was being blackmailed.
Carly said she and Valentin weren’t using each other and she didn’t want to run anywhere. She kissed him and they got busy.
Jack was playing along about being locked-in, but could still barely move. Nina told him that Willow didn’t have a choice and it had been Sidwell’s idea to incapacitate Drew.
Dante told Elizabeth that Lulu should have trusted him and now his son was gone. Elizabeth said it wasn’t their fault. If anyone was to blame, it was Cullum.
Brook told Ric about Sidwell’s control of distribution in exchange for his contribution to Deception, and Ric suggested going to Sidwell and threatening him with the Feds. Tracy said their assets would be frozen, but Ric said it may be the only way to get rid of Sidwell.
Josslyn said she wasn’t surprised Pascal survived the Five Poppies because cockroaches weren’t easy to kill. He said he was pissed because she’d disrupted his life there and he was reduced to being a butler on Spoon Island. She thanked him for letting her know where she was and said she knew Anna had been there and been brainwashed. She told him about finding the book and cigarillos, and he said, too bad, so sad she couldn’t do anything about it.
Laura and Sonny told Lucas about Dalton’s body and the blackmail photos. Sonny told him about Britt’s phone call, and Laura added that Pascal had cleaned the murder up. Sonny wondered if they could get Pascal to cooperate and help, but Lucas said, no way.
Ric asked if there was any reason to avoid an audit, but Tracy said they’d just need to convince Sidwell that they were willing to go that far.
Lulu came to Carly’s door, interrupting Carly and Valentin. Valentin went back to the attic, and Lulu told Carly about the video and said she was worried she’d helped Rocco disappear.
Dante told Elizabeth that respect didn’t go both ways with Lulu. She was going to leave town with Rocco without telling him, and that had made it easier for Rocco to leave with Britt. Dante wondered if Rocco thought it would be best for his family.
Nurse Grant came in to take Jack’s vitals, and Nina explained she’d been with him when he had his stroke. She was under the impression he had no friends or family. Nothing but work. Grant said Jack was stable and they’d start PT soon. He left, and Nina said Jack didn’t have anyone except for her. She was his only way out of this mess, so they had to work together.
Lucas said they’d stop Sidwell, and Laura said, if a non-violent option didn’t work, she’d turn herself in. She just needed information about Pascal. Lucas said whatever Sidwell was doing, Pascal was in it up to his neck. He explained about Britt’s medication and how it led to Pascal thinking he’d stolen it and telling Cullum, leading to Cullum killing Marco. He and Britt had figured it out. Pascal was jealous and now they were in a stand-off. If Sidwell figured out Cullum killed Marco, he’d kill all three of them. He had to stay to get justice for Marco, which was why he’d help them.
Pascal said Josslyn was a potential bargaining chip, but once their business was concluded, she’d be dead. She said, so would he. He was expendable, a lackey who knew too much. When he was no longer useful to Sidwell, he was a dead man.
Nina said it was Jack’s fault that he was alone. Carly only cared about Carly and he’d put his trust in the wrong woman. Did he have a plan? He told her, talk to Carly.
Lulu told Carly about the fake passports, and Valentin listened in. Carly asked how she could help, and Lulu said she just wanted someone to talk to. Carly asked about Dante, and Lulu said he’d covered for her. Carly said, what about Charlotte? and Lulu said she hadn’t intended on taking Charlotte since Valentin had been selfish in taking her on the run. Carly said Lulu and Dante had to get on the same page, but Lulu was afraid Rocco left because of their friction and fighting. Carly asked if Lulu thought Dante was coming from a place of love, and Lulu said she did. Carly wondered if Dante felt the same way.
Dante told Elizabeth that he wondered if Rocco believed they were better off without him. He’d let Lulu know it was safe in the video. Elizabeth said she knew what it was like being involved with a Spencer, when Fitzpatrick interrupted.
Ric suggested they confront Sidwell on their home turf, but Tracy wanted to take him by surprise at Spoon Island. Ric told them to take their own transport and be safe. Sidwell wouldn’t just walk away.
Laura said now they knew Pascal had the information they needed and they had to convince him to turn on his boss. Lucas said he had an idea. They needed him and Sidwell had to pay for his crimes, so he’d work with them.
Fitzpatrick gave Dante an inventory list and said there had been a used syringe in the back of a drawer. He wondered if Britt had a history of drug use, and Dante suggested a tox screen. He asked about the car, and Fitzpatrick wondered if they should call the FBI, but Dante said Britt hadn’t kidnapped Rocco and told him about Britt giving birth to him. He didn’t want the FBI involved. Fitzpatrick said, his kid, his call.
Carly said Lulu needed to figure things out with Dante so Rocco didn’t come back to the same mess, and Lulu said she hoped Valentin knew how much he’d hurt Charlotte, but Carly said he’d probably done his best. Lulu said it wasn’t fair to a child to feel responsible for their parents’ happiness and agreed to make peace with Dante.
Nina told Jack that they couldn’t trust Carly. She hadn’t even told Willow the whole truth and Sidwell had no idea she was involved. Carly was already suspicious of his stroke. Jack said they needed Carly to reach Valentin, but Nina said Carly and Valentin barely knew each other. Jack said Valentin was with Carly.
Josslyn said Cassius (Nathan) wouldn’t kill her, but he didn’t like Pascal. He wouldn’t think twice about taking Pascal out. Pascal said he had no desire to end up in Steinmauer, but she said he’d have his life which was more than Sidwell would give him.
Valentin said in a lot of ways Lulu was right, but she should admit her own shortcomings, and Carly said Lulu had raised Charlotte while he was in prison. He wondered if she was saying Lulu was a better parent.
Jack told Nina that Valentin was hiding at Carly’s and they were sleeping together. He was sure Valentin told her everything. Nina wondered why he wanted to talk to Valentin after they’d try to kill each other.
Dante said he couldn’t give Fitzpatrick all the facts because it could lead Cullum to Rocco, and Elizabeth said Sonny was helping. Britt was a survivor who sincerely loved Rocco and would protect him.
Fitzpatrick called for a tox screen, when Lucas came in. He wanted to talk to Dante. He had information on a murder.
Tracy said they needed a nuclear option, but Ric said people who got in Sidwell’s way tended to have accidents, so make sure someone else knew. Brook suggested bringing Lucy with them.
Pascal thought his loyalty would protect him and said Josslyn was in trouble, not him. She told him not to kid himself. He was as trapped as she was.
Laura said she hadn’t intended to bring Bobbie’s son into this, but Sonny said Lucas wanted to help and it was more dangerous to act alone. If the three of them worked together, it was their best shot. She said Lucas was doing it for Marco.
Lucas told Fitzpatrick that he knew who killed Marco and they should talk to Pascal.
Elizabeth said Britt loved Rocco like a mother and would send him back if he was at risk. Lulu listened in.
Carly said Valentin and Charlotte were lucky to be alive and he was lucky to have Lulu. She didn’t share Lulu’s opinion, she just understood where it came from. Nina rang the bell and said she needed to talk to Valentin now.
Tuesday:
Jacinda pretended to lose her sunglasses near the boathouse and Chase came to the rescue.
Michael asked Willow to come by the Quartermaines’.
At Windymere, Lucy paced, her arm in a sling from a pole dancing accident. She asked Tracy and Brook if they were doing the best thing for the company. Pascal joined them, and Tracy said people knew they were here, and he said they needed to reschedule, but that was a no from Tracy.
Lucas talked to Fitzpatrick about Pascal being obsessed with Marco. Fitzpatrick wondered why he hadn’t said anything before.
Elizabeth told Dante that Britt loved Rocco like a mother, and if she sensed trouble, she’d send him home. Lulu overheard and joined them. She thanked Elizabeth for trying to stop Britt, but Elizabeth said there were things about her involvement they didn’t know.
Cullum hassled Jack at Turning Woods, but Jack stayed mum. Cullum said he’d found Jack’s black box.
Nina insisted she knew Valentin was at Carly’s and threatened to let the WSB and PCPD know. Valentin said, let her in.
Jacinda said the sunglasses were from Crimson and retailed at $700 and Chase offered to help look. Chase told her, if Michael seemed too good to be true, he was, and she said don’t worry about the sunglasses and left. He went to look anyway and she watched from behind the boathouse.
Michael asked Willow if it was cool if he took the kids July 4th weekend and said he’d give her an extra weekend to make up for it. She agreed because she wanted the kids to have the family memories, and asked that it be put in writing. She said it felt good working together instead of against each other, and he agreed.
Lucas said he’d been in shock and it hit him later when he saw Pascal wearing Marco’s tie. Fitzpatrick added it to the file, but Lucas said he could be in danger. He wondered if the police had interviewed Pascal, and Fitzpatrick said Pascal’s statement didn’t have much detail.
Brook said she was with Tracy 100%, and Lucy wondered if they should make decisions without Maxie, but Brook said Maxie was in agreement. Lucy asked what they’d do when it blew up in their faces.
Nina hoped Carly was worth it, and Valentin said she was. Nina said she had a message for him from Jack.
Sidwell said he had no time for the ladies of Deception, but Pascal said Tracy had insisted. Sidwell put on a smile and went in. Tracy said this was his last day at Deception.
Fitzpatrick said Lucas lived at Spoon Island too, and it raised questions. Lucas said he needed to see Dante.
Lulu was surprised that Elizabeth knew that Rocco had a slide bite and not a kitchen accident. She said it sounded like she was being accused of conspiring with Nathan, when Dante had done the same with Elizabeth.
Willow wanted to stay flexible for the kids, and Michael said Wiley had left his mitt at the boathouse. Willow offered to find it and take it. Michael sent Jacinda a text: She’s on her way.
Nina told Valentin that Jack was at Turning Woods and wanted to see him. Carly was surprised that Jack was speaking, and Valentin thought it sounded like a trap, but Nina said he could barely speak and was still not moving. Jack said to tell him, Ex Machina. Valentin said Jack was desperate and they were in bigger trouble than he thought.
Cullum said he hadn’t cracked the combination so his secrets were intact for now. One wrong guess, he assumed the contents would be ash. He found the digital files on the Five Poppies with extensive redactions, but he could see the shape of what wasn’t there. Did Jack turn Britt into a WSB asset? Did he help her escape? Jack blinked twice, and Cullum played with Jack’s IV and said Jack could blink him the combination if there was nothing to hide.
Dante and Elizabeth brought Lulu up to speed, and Fitzpatrick came in. He asked Dante for assistance with Lucas.
Brook said they had reason to believe Sidwell was using their company for illicit purposes, and Tracy said they would report it to the FCC, who would do a full audit. Sidwell said it could destroy the company, but they didn’t budge. Tracy suggested he devest himself immediately, and Lucy said they were sorry, but what was his decision?
Jack refused to blink, and Cullum said he’d return when they had more privacy. Any number of complications could befall him and no one would question him dying in his sleep.
Nina said she owed Jack for putting him in a hospital bed. Valentin could have come to her and she would have helped him. Sticking with Carly never helped anyone. He said he wasn’t anyone, and Nina left. Valentin said Nina couldn’t turn them in or she’d incriminate herself. He liked him and Carly as a team. Carly said she did too.
Willow found the mitt, and Jacinda continued to watch. Chase found the sunglasses and went into the boathouse, running into Willow. He told her about the sunglasses, and Willow said she wasn’t thrilled with Jacinda spending time with her kids. Chase suggested Willow join him in a swim, and she flashed back to Brook threatening her if she so much as breathed on Chase, but said, what was the harm?
Jacinda met Michael and said she was thinking his plan would work.
Lulu said she knew Elizabeth was just helping Rocco and was glad she had.
Lucas asked Dante to bring Pascal in for questions. He was sure Pascal was connected with Marco’s death. Dante asked Fitzpatrick to bring Pascal in for questioning and to get acquainted with Windymere.
Sidwell said he’d invested considerably in Deception and up until now he’d considered them savvy, intelligent women. It was a grave mistake. Without him, there would be no Deception. Pascal interrupted, saying Sidwell was needed, and Sidwell left, meeting Cullum in the foyer. He told Pascal to keep the women occupied, and Sidwell asked if Cullum had found Britt.
Jacinda told Michael that Willow was definitely smitten, but Chase was harder to read. His weak spot was playing the hero. Michael said they’d take advantage of that, and they toasted to nature taking its course. Jacinda said, with just a little help from them, but she was worried about Brook being heartbroken.
Chase brought Willow something to drink, and Willow said she’d missed the outdoors there. It felt good. Chase said she deserved more moments just for her, but she said she didn’t like her chances of getting them. He said her way of life wasn’t sustainable, and she said he was a better friend than she deserved, but he disagreed. She said it made her think of how they used to be.
Cullum told Sidwell that there was nothing new to report. They were dealing with Faison’s daughter. Sidwell said the project couldn’t move forward without her, and Cullum agreed, but thought they should replace her.
Valentin was set on going to Turning Woods, but Carly told him to let her go. He said Jack hated him and had summoned him by invoking Ex Machina and he had to answer.
Willow and Chase went down Memory Lane, and Chase said he was glad they were friends again. Willow said her too, and tenderly picked a leaf out of his hair.
Michael said Brook would be better off without Chase, but Jacinda wondered if Brook would feel the same. He said Brook had to suffer through her guilt about the accident alone, and Jacinda said a person should feel free to be honest with their partner. He said, the second Brook didn’t live up to Chase’s standards, he’d turn to Willow. Today mattered. Jacinda wondered if Willow would risk what she had to lose, and he said if they kept manufacturing these moments, Chase and Willow would cross the line, and they’d pull the whole thing wide open.
Carly said she was with Valentin when Nina delivered the message, and Valentin followed her in, posing as an orderly.
Lulu said she saw that Elizabeth had been trying to protect her son.
Lucas thanked Dante for sending Fitzpatrick to Spoon Island, but Dante said the lead was thin. Lucas said it was the only way he’d get justice for Marco.
Sidwell asked who could possibly replace Britt, when Fitzpatrick knocked at the door.
Pascal served tea, and Sidwell said Fitzpatrick had questions for him. Fitzpatrick said it was involving the murder of Marco Rios.
Wednesday:
Jack said he and Valentin needed each other’s help.
Willow continued to reminisce and saw a spider that creeped her out, but Chase bravely moved it. She thanked him for saving her.
Michael met Kristina at Bobbie’s, and she said she needed his help.
Laura told Sonny that she couldn’t look the other way past a certain point.
Sidwell introduced himself to Fitzpatrick, and Fitzpatrick said he needed to ask Pascal some questions. Sidwell took him to the living room and Fitzpatrick said his questions were regarding Marco’s murder, but Pascal said he had nothing to do with it. He should speak with Lucas Jones.
Josslyn messed with a light fixture.
Willow got a text from a congressman wanting to add pork to a bill she was passing about affordable housing. She’d never vote for what he wanted, but he didn’t need to know that. Chase was impressed with her making the role her own, and she said she loved it, but wished she had more personal time. It used to be the other way around when they were together, but he’d got demoted for helping her and it wasn’t fair.
Kristina told Michael about going to medical school. She’d already applied and been accepted to UCLA.
Jack said it was Valentin’s fault he was there, but Valentin said Nina’s bad aim wasn’t his fault. Jack asked him to help him stop a crisis, and Valentin said his help came at a price. He started to leave, but Carly asked him to wait.
At the coffee warehouse, Sonny told Laura that he didn’t need to threaten Pascal. Once Sidwell thought he killed Marco, he’d be out for blood. He and Laura wouldn’t have to do anything. Pascal would need friends and they’d help save his life. Lucas would come through for them. Lucas joined them and said it hadn’t gone great with the PCPD.
Pascal said he’d never hurt Marco, but Fitzpatrick said he had questions.
Josslyn worked a piece out of the lamp and started to mess with the wiring.
Fitzpatrick said they were following up on Pascal’s whereabouts, and Pascal insisted he’d never hurt Marco. The lights went out and Sidwell told everyone to stay calm. The generator would kick in momentarily.
Michael said it was completely unexpected, but Kristina said she’d been thinking about it a while. She’d taken the MCAT to see if she could get accepted. She said she knew people thought she was brilliant, but unfocused, and didn’t blame them. He said she was just passionate about a lot of things, and she said since the accident, the baby, and Sam, she wanted to focus on something interesting and challenging that lasted. She realized she loved it. Molly’s experience with her doctors reinforced her wanting to do good in the world. He said he was proud of her, but she worried that she’d flake out.
Lucas told Sonny and Laura that he’d had to get Dante involved. Dante sent a detective to Spoon Island, but didn’t seem sold. Lucas was afraid Pascal would get through this without arousing Sidwell’s suspicions, but Sonny said Sidwell was full of grief and rage. If they offered him a viable suspect, he’d bite, and Pascal wouldn’t hang around for Sidwell to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Pascal was gone, and Fitzpatrick put out an APB. The Deception women left, and Fitzpatrick asked to look at Pascal’s room. After that, he’d go back to the mainland.
Valentin said Jack was the reason Josslyn was missing, but Carly said Jack wasn’t lying. Jack said there was more to it, and Valentin asked, who else knew Josslyn was WSB? Jack said, only Vaughn. He’d never trust Cullum and hid her from him. Valentin wondered if she’d gone into hiding so Cullum couldn’t find her, and Jack said it was possible. Carly said, she’d never leave without saying goodbye. Someone took her.
Josslyn messed with the door.
Chase told Willow that he did what he thought was right, but he missed being a detective. At some point, he’d take the exam again, but right now his schedule was what was best for the family. She said what if there was a position more in line with his skill set, challenging with consistent hours? He could work with her in Congress.
The Deception women went back to the mansion, and Lucy said she’d never trusted Pascal. She worried that there was slow acting poison in their tea, and Tracy said they’d be dead. She was going for a walk. Brook said Tracy was disappointed that things with Sidwell hadn’t been settled, and Lucy said she owed them all a huge apology, but Brook said she wasn’t one to judge. She’d made decisions she wished she could take back, but couldn’t, so she’d look ahead to the future. Lucy said it had happened. Brook was Phoebe’s mom.
Carly said, if leaving town had been Josslyn’s choice, she would have said goodbye, and Jack agreed. Valentin said, she would have had a cover story in place. Somebody had her and they needed to find her before Cullum did. Carly asked if there was anything Jack could tell them that would help, and Jack said, start at Windymere. Go to Z. His access number. Tell him everything. Do it or Josslyn stayed lost.
Laura told Sonny that Pascal took the first chance he could get to run. There was an APB out on him and Sidwell was livid and calling for his arrest. Lucas said Sidwell was well-aware of Pascal’s feelings for Marco and noticed Pascal’s open disdain for him, and Sonny said, if Pascal couldn’t have Marco, no one could. Laura said Pascal was running for his life, and Lucas said if Sidwell thought Pascal killed Marco, he’d shoot first and ask questions later. Sonny said, good thing they were there to help Pascal.
Brook told Lucy that it wasn’t official and not to jinx it, but Lucy said you couldn’t jinx anything meant to be. It was obvious Brook already changed her priorities. Brook said, even in the middle of the night, she cherished their moments together. Being a parent with Chase was like a dream. Lucy said Chase was great, but so was Brook.
Willow said Chase would be perfect for her Chief of Staff. He had connections to law enforcement and city government through the PCPD and ties to the community. It would be great press for her as well. She didn’t want to be just another representative and wanted to accomplish things. It was still a boy’s club and he could get her access that she couldn’t get as a woman. Most important, she could trust him.
Michael said, what Kristina did took guts. He thought it was important to like what you did. Was there anything he could say to change her mind? She said, absolutely not.
Fitzpatrick found a photo of Marco in Pascal’s drawer, and Sidwell asked if he had any proof Pascal killed his son, but Fitzpatrick said Pascal was just a person of interest. Sidwell said, who ran when he was about to be questioned, but Fitzpatrick said it wasn’t an admission of guilt. Sidwell wondered if innocent people ran, and Fitzpatrick said every case was different. He advised Sidwell not to jump to conclusions and let the police handle the investigation. He gave Sidwell his card.
Sonny said he’d be in touch when he located Pascal and told Lucas that he did good. He left, and Laura told Lucas that both she and Sonny were grateful to him. He said it was his decision. The pain was worth it. Sidwell was evil and he wanted Sidwell to pay for what he’d done. Laura said so did they, and Lucas said he might have gotten in over his head at the PCPD.
Brook said she believed in Chase 100%, and Lucy said they still didn’t know who shot Drew. Didn’t she want to know? She didn’t think Michael was involved, but she didn’t want to say anything in front of Tracy. It must have been tense when Chase accused him. Brook said Chase was just doing his job and they’d put it behind them as a family.
Willow asked Chase to think about it. It could create opportunities for him and he wouldn’t be putting his life on the line for work. Consider it for Phoebe’s sake. He said she made a good point and wondered why it was important to her. She put her hands on his shoulders and said, for so many reasons. Tracy watched from behind the boathouse (apparently a perfect vantage point).
Jack said he couldn’t talk because of Cullum, and Valentin said Jack didn’t want Cullum to know he was communicating. Jack said it was the Valentin to go first so there was no suspicion, and Valentin left. Jack said, make him listen. It was the only way. Was he lying?
Josslyn got the door open and snuck around Windymere.
Lucy said she was happy for Brook. It was what mattered in life, building a beautiful family with someone you loved. Hold onto it and don’t let anybody take it away from her. Brook flashed back to threatening Willow.
Willow said the year had been horrible, but Chase had been there for her, and he said she’d already helped with Phoebe. She said he was one of the few she considered a true friend. She knew she could count on him. He said he’d consider her offer, and she got ready to go. She left, and he turned to find Tracy there. She said he’d cheated on her granddaughter for the very last time.
Kristina told Michael that Molly had said the same thing, and Michael said the best way to prove doubters wrong was by doing it. The hardest part would be being far away. She said she’d miss him, and he said he’d miss her too, and they hugged.
Carly said she thought jack was telling the truth, and Jack said Valentin had to contact Z. Z would shut down Cullum and Sidwell. She said that was the mission. She was wondering about her daughter and he was talking about a project. He was the reason Josslyn was involved and now missing. He put her daughter’s life in danger and she’d never forgive him for that.
Josslyn lurked around and opened the front door. Sidwell was there with a gun and said, nice try.
Laura wondered why Lucas would be a suspect, and he said he didn’t have an alibi. What if the police thought he was just throwing them off his trail? Laura said, Pascal ran. It implied guilt to the PCPD and Sidwell. Lucas had done the right thing.
Pascal was about to start his car and nothing happened. Sonny appeared at the window with a fistful of cables and asked if Pascal needed a lift.
Thursday:
Alexis asked Ethan to come to her office and showed him the photo of him and Delilah that she’d gotten from the art gallery.
Brook told Michael that Willow was going after her husband and he was pushing Willow straight into Chase’s arms.
Chase told Tracy that he’d never cheat on Brook, but she wasn’t buying it. He said Willow was just a friend, and she said, a friend he threw away his career for, and now his marriage.
Pascal was taken to the warehouse, where Laura, Sonny, and Lucas waited for him. Sonny said they wanted to help him help himself. They’d give him a chance to save his own life but it would cost him.
Josslyn opened the front door to find Sidwell with a gun. He said, nice try, and she told him to let her go and she’d leave his name out of it. He said he didn’t trust her and cocked his gun.
Brook said Michael wasn’t helping matters by fighting with Willow, but he said they were civil now. If Willow was spending time with Chase, it had nothing to do with him.
Willow came home, where Nina was taking care of Drew. Nina said she was thinking of putting sunglasses on him, and Willow told her about the change to the kids’ schedule and how she’d run into Chase.
Tracy said Willow was all over Chase like a cheap suit and he did nothing to discourage it, but he said he’d never be disloyal to Brook. She suggested he pack his bags and their lawyers would be in touch.
Alexis said she’d gotten the photo from Apollo, and Eithan said he and Delilah had been friends. She asked why he hadn’t told Brook and Chase that he knew Delilah. Was it because he was Phoebe’s father?
Pascal said Lucas set him up. They both knew Cullum killed Marco. Sonny said Pascal wasn’t innocent, and Lucas said, it was the only way to get justice for Marco. Laura said they had to bring Sidwell down, and Pascal asked what they needed him to do.
Sidwell said he’d been persuaded to let Josslyn live because of her connections, but she was more trouble than she was worth. For escaping alone he should end her life. Nathan came in and said, don’t.
Ethan told Laura that he and Delilah were friends who’d hooked up once and she got pregnant. They weren’t in a place to be parents and decided to meet in Port Charles. He was delayed and she’d stopped responding to his messages. He found out she was dead when he’d gone to the Quartermaines and talked to Brook and Chase. That’s when he knew Phoebe was his.
Michael asked, what happened? and Brook said she tried her best not to make a thing about Willow being after Chase because she trusted Chase. When she’d brought the gift over, she’d seen Willow cozied up to him. Chase acted normal, but after he left, she warned Willow it wouldn’t end well for her if she kept it up.
Tracy said Chase could break her granddaughter’s heart, but he wouldn’t get a dime in the divorce because he’d signed a prenup. Chase said they weren’t divorcing, but Tracy said once she told Brook, he’d be out. Chase said he’d give her a chance to prove herself right and called Brook, asking her to come to the boathouse. Tracy had something to share.
Lucas said Sidwell being behind bars would benefit Pascal, and Laura told him about Dalton’s body and the blackmail. Sonny said they wanted him to retrieve the photos. He was offering Pascal a way out. He’d help Pascal flee the country and give him $50,000 to start a new life. Laura personally guaranteed his safety and said all he had to do was get the photos and he was a free man. Pascal said it was impossible.
Sidwell said Josslyn would only escape again, and told Nathan to step aside. Nathan said if he hurt Josslyn, their partnership was over.
Willow told Nina about meeting Chase, and that they might be spending even more time together. She took Drew back to the bedroom.
Brook arrived at the boathouse, and Tracy told her that she’d witnessed Chase in a compromising position with a scantily clad Willow. Chase said they were in swimsuits, and Tracy said it wasn’t physical, but they were enjoying an intimate moment. Chase said they weren’t, but Tracy said if he hadn’t cheated yet, it was only a matter of time. Chase told Brook that her grandmother was wrong, and Brook wanted to talk to him in private.
Alexis said she wasn’t judging Ethan, just trying to get information. He said Brook and Chase were the perfect parents, and she asked if he’d sign away his parental rights. He said, yes, and she asked why he hadn’t said anything. He said he didn’t want to complicate things or make them think he was trying to get Phoebe back. Tell them she couldn’t find Phoebe’s father.
Pascal said the photos were in a locked safe at Windymere, and Lucas said if Pascal gave him the combination, he’d get them. Sonny dropped the amount to $40K because Lucas would do the work, and Pascal agreed.
Nathan said Sidwell needed him on the inside of the PCPD, but Sidwell complained that Nathan hadn’t warned him about Pascal. Nathan said no one had known Pascal was involved until he ran. Now the PCPD had more questions for Sidwell, and he was lucky Nathan was taking the lead or Fitzpatrick would have been the one who walked in on him holding a gun on Josslyn. Sidwell said Josslyn served no purpose, but Nathan said it was a non-negotiable. He’d imprisoned her once and would again.
Alexis said she couldn’t do that. What if Ethan changed his mind? He said he wouldn’t, but she said she had to protect her clients interests. He said he’d sign the paperwork and she could say the father wanted to remain anonymous, but she said it wouldn’t be the truth. He said it was what was best for everyone. Let him give Phoebe what he never had.
On the phone, Michael told Elaine that he needed something more incriminating, when Tracy came in. She said he’d brought that viper Willow into this house and she’d been a blight on the family ever since. She caught Willow trying to seduce Chase.
Brook asked what Chase had been doing with Willow, and he said they hadn’t planned to run into each other. They talked and Brook’s grandmother twisted it. Brook said Tracy was good at reading people, but Chase said he loved Brook and would never be unfaithful. She said it was the second time she’d found him with Willow and it didn’t feel right. He said he had no feelings for Willow, but Brook said Willow obviously had feelings for him.
Nina said Chase wasn’t qualified to be Willow’s Chief of Staff. He was so honest and straightforward, he couldn’t pull it off. Willow said the constituents would find him refreshing, but Nina said he had no experience. Willow said neither did she. Chase wrecked his career for her and it was the least she could do. Nina said it could end her political career if she hired Chase.
Pascal wrote down the combination and gave it to Lucas. He said there was no digital back-up because Sidwell wanted to make sure no one could say the photos were doctored. Sonny said if Pascal wasn’t telling the truth, his man would take Pascal back to town and leave him to Sidwell’s devices. He told his man to take Pascal to the airfield, and Lucas said he wanted Marco’s tie. Pascal said it was all he had left of Marco, and Lucas said, Cullum stabbed Marco, but Pascal was just as responsible for Marco’s death. Pascal gave him the tie and left with Sonny’s man.
Sidwell told Nathan, fine. He had more important things to deal with, like finding Pascal. Not to mention finding a replacement for Britt, who’d left them high and dry. Josslyn asked what Sidwell had done to Nathan to make him like this, and Sidwell said she didn’t know her captor as well as she thought. Josslyn and Nathan left, Josslyn surreptitiously leaving one of her rings on the floor near the sofa.
Michael said it sounded like something was going on, and Tracy hoped Brook didn’t let Chase weasel out of this. Even smart women got deceived by men they loved. Michael said it happened to him too, and she said being deceived by someone you loved made you take the blinders off. He said, maybe she should just sit back and let it happen.
Chase insisted Willow didn’t have feelings for him and told Brook not to let her family get in her head. Brook was worried that he only saw the good in Willow, and he said Willow had only helped them. He told her about Willow offering him a job, but she said he loved being a cop. He said it was better money and there would be no more overnights, allowing him to be a better dad, and she said he was right. Maybe her family did get in her head a little and she was judging Willow too much.
Nina said the optics would look terrible and it was only a matter of time before the rumors flew about Willow and Chase. Willow said she didn’t care, but Nina said she’d better start caring. The public had embraced her so quickly because they saw her as a loving devoted wife. If there was a whiff of impropriety, it would cut her support. Willow said she couldn’t risk losing her power and influence, and Nina was relieved to hear her say that. She was also worried how it could hurt Willow on a personal level.
Sonny tried to talk Lucas out of it, but Lucas said he had a better chance. Laura said he’d be risking his life, but Lucas said he’d asked Marco to steal something from the safe. It had cost Marco his life and it was only fair he take the same risk. He owed it to Marco to handle this personally and make sure no one else got hurt.
Alexis agreed to draw up the paperwork for a closed adoption, but needed to make sure it was what Ethan wanted. He said it was, and she said one person might suspect he was the father.
Michael said Brook was stubborn and if Tracy intervened, Brook would just double down on her marriage and Tracy would be the bad guy. It would be better for Brook to realize the truth on her own.
Chase said he wanted to consider the job offer, but wouldn’t make any decision without Brook. They were a team. Brook said they were and she’d remind her grandmother not to cause any more trouble. He said he loved her so much, and she said she loved him too, and they kissed.
Nina said she wouldn’t blame Willow for having feelings for Chase, but he was married and he and Brook were starting a family. Willow said she was helping them, and Nina said that was great, but she had to be careful. Willow told Nina not to worry about her.
Sonny told Laura that Pascal was boarding the plane, but his man wouldn’t let them take off until they had the photos. Laura said she thought Pascal was telling them the truth, and Sonny said he wasn’t comfortable about Lucas being the one to break in the safe. Laura said they had to have faith in his capabilities.
Lucas found Sidwell in the living room and asked if he was okay. He knew about Pascal. Sidwell wondered how he didn’t see Pascal was obsessed with his son, and Lucas said he hadn’t seen it either. Sidwell said Lucas hadn’t brought that psycho into their lives and Pascal had murdered his boy. He took our Marco. Lucas said he’d loved Marco very much and was relieved to see the man responsible for his death be brought to justice. We saw Josslyn’s ring on the floor.
Josslyn asked if the prototype couldn’t be built with Britt gone, and Nathan said the project was in limbo for now. She said now was the perfect time for him to bail, since things were falling apart, but he said it wasn’t that easy. She said it was and her offer still stood. Now was their chance to take Sidwell and Cullum down. She could still get him immunity. He told her to save her breath and left. He watched her through the one-way window and pondered.
🌞 Summer Friday…
Nina helped Willow with Drew, and Willow asked her to leave out the snide commentary. Nina said she’d try, but it wasn’t in her nature. Obrecht showed up and told them to stop this ridiculous physical therapy at once. She wondered what they knew about her Britta.
Cullum wanted a status update on Britt, but Sidwell said he didn’t know anything. Cullum was disappointed, but Sidwell said he’d been focused on other matters, like nailing the bastard who murdered his son.
Sonny told Laura it would be over soon, when Lucas came back – with the envelope. If they trusted Pascal, that was it. Laura said they were free.
Lucas arrived back at the warehouse and flashed back to getting the envelope from the safe, as I screamed, hurry up! He was successful without getting caught. Sonny said he didn’t think Pascal was lying and neither did Laura, but she was worried about her DNA on the gun. Sonny said they’d never trace it to the murder, and Laura said Sidwell had lost power over them. She hugged Sonny and Lucas, but Lucas said it wasn’t over for them or him.
Alexis told Brook and Chase that she’d spoken to Phoebe’s father and he was open to them adopting her.
Ethan met Ava at the MetroCourt Gardens to apologize for the last time when things got contentious between them. Ava said, when he’d forced her into Sonny’s car? and he said she meant a friendly nudge. He’d admired the way she’d handled herself. She more than kept her cool. She said he was transparent. She wasn’t going to forget he was Phoebe’s father.
Cullum said Pascal killing Marco was unfortunate, but couldn’t distract them from the issue at hand. Sidwell had his sincerest condolences, but their priority was the completion of the project which was at a standstill without Britt. Sidwell said it was embarrassing, since Cullum had the entire WSB at his disposal and couldn’t track down a flighty doctor with a teenager. Cullum said she knew how to disappear and he’d thought Rocco’s parents would make an effort to locate Rocco. It led him to believe they didn’t want extra attention on Rocco. Sidwell said, because they didn’t want extra attention from Cullum.
Nina asked why they’d know about Britt, and Obrecht asked if Britt had come to them for anything, but they said no. Obrecht said Britt had no one to help her, like Drew, and suggested they put sunglasses on him. Clearly he was desperate. He’d been blinking SOS incessantly since she’d arrived.
Lucas said just because Sonny and Laura were in the clear wasn’t going to stop Sidwell from hurting the people they cared about. He hadn’t paid. Sonny said, he would, and Lucas didn’t need to worry about it. Laura said Sidwell needed to be taken down by law enforcement and she’d bring him to justice. She couldn’t let Sonny kill Sidwell and pretend it didn’t happen.
Willow said Obrecht was misreading Drew’s signals. He was just frustrated. Obrecht said everyone knew the international signal for distress – three fast blinks for S, three slow blinks for O. He was clearly conveying SOS. Willow and Nina pled ignorance, and Obrecht said they were blind. Plus, Drew exhibited no additional signs of a stroke, and there was the convenience of the timing. Nina told her, stop it, but Obrecht said she was merely pointing out the optics. Nina said Willow was suffering enough, and Obrecht said she didn’t care that they were scheming, just scheme better. She had her own problems to deal with and because they were family, they were Nina and Willow’s problems too. Help her find her Britta.
Ava said she’d facilitated the meeting between Apollo and Alexis. Imagine her surprise to see photographic evidence of Ethan’s entanglement with Delilah. Apollo tried to keep his secret initially. She was sure it had been incentivized. Ethan asked how she got Apollo to spill, and she said she might have suggested that the Quartermaines would pay for information about Delilah. Money was a strong motivator. He said, perhaps the strongest, and she said it was surprising that Delilah hadn’t ended up with someone well to do. Instead her baby’s father was… well, you.
Alexis said the baby’s father’s relationship with Delilah was casual and he hadn’t known she was pregnant until late in the pregnancy. He wasn’t in the position to be a father and quickly agreed Phoebe would be better off with Brook and Chase. He had one condition. He wanted a closed adoption with sealed records. They and Phoebe could never know him.
Ethan told Ava, Delilah was a friend. They understood each other. They both moved in rarified circles without access to rarified money. Ava said her bank account allowed her the freedom to do what she chose, and suggested they get on with it. He wanted her to keep her mouth shut and she knew exactly why.
Brook told Alexis that when she gave Gio up, it was supposed to be a closed adoption, but Gio found out anyway and was devastated. She would never want that for Phoebe. Chase said neither would he, and Brook said they’d planned on telling her about Delilah. Inevitably, she’d have questions and Brook wanted to be able to give her answers. Alexis said she sympathized, but the father made his wishes clear – a sealed adoption and no contact with them or Phoebe. Chase said they’d agree to it, and Brook said the most important thing was that Phoebe was theirs.
Sonny said the cops hadn’t been able to stop Sidwell. They were waiting for him to slip so they’d be in the perfect position to bust him. They knew Sidwell was a danger and now they could add Cullum. Lucas said Cullum had all the WSB resources at his disposal, and Sonny said it wasn’t as simple as just calling the police. Lucas said, what if it was? Sidwell was a murderer and they were all in agreement that he wouldn’t hesitate to kill again. So they needed to catch him in the act. He thought Sidwell’s safe was the key.
Sidwell said, if Rocco’s parents knew he’d shot Cullum and why, that was a Cullum problem, but Cullum said, wrong again. They both risked exposure if he was found out as a double agent. Sidwell said Cullum had told him it was a question of priorities. If bringing his son’s killer to justice wasn’t Cullum’s, why should protecting Cullum be his? Cullum said they were close to the finish line and had everything to lose with his failure and more to gain by its completion. Sidwell said finding Britt wasn’t their goal, finishing the project was, and Cullum said, for that, they needed a brilliant mind.
Nina said she was sure Britt would reach out when she was safe, but Obrecht said Nathan was concerned that Britt would start exhibiting symptoms of Huntington’s. Nina asked if she was, and Obrecht said not that she knew of, but Britt didn’t tell her everything. Her daughter was off somewhere taking care of a teenage boy and battling a terminal illness. She didn’t understand why Britt didn’t come to her for help. Nina said, it could be for any number of reasons, and Obrecht said she was terrified for Britt.
On the phone, Willow told Chase that she’d just gotten the paperwork she’d asked to be expedited by the Director of Social Services, and Chase said the timing couldn’t be better. They were with Alexis now. Willow insisted on coming over with the paperwork herself, and Chase told Brook. Brook said Willow was right there when they needed her.
Sidwell asked who Cullum got to replace Britt, and Cullum said the replacement didn’t need to start from scratch. Sidwell said the project was 90% complete, and Cullum said they just had to pick up where Britt left off and bring the project to its conclusion. Sidwell asked who this genius was.
Despite Obrecht and Nina protesting, Willow said she wanted to make sure the paperwork got their safely. She left, and Nina told Obrecht that she didn’t have to say it, but Obrecht said she was going to anyway. Nina’s daughter was far too invested in her ex-husband’s affairs. She needed to be more focused on the man she had at home. Nina said she didn’t disagree, and Obrecht asked what her plan was to reign Willow in.
Brook sent a text: NEED TO SEE YOU. NOW. She joined Chase and Alexis, who was telling Chase there would be no public hearing, which reduced the chance of any potential concerns. Willow’s paperwork was a huge plus. Brook said there was a crisis at Deception, and Alexis said they were done and left. Brook followed.
Lucy went to the MetroCourt Gardens, saw Ava, and changed her table since she wasn’t a fan of that particular view.
Ava asked if Ethan was sure about keeping it a secret that he was Phoebe’s father, and Ethan said he told Alexis that he’d consent to the adoption only if it was closed and sealed. He had his own relationships with the Quartermaines, especially Tracy, and didn’t want it complicated. It was what was best for everyone. Ava said she might actually believe him if he wasn’t the son of Holly Sutton and Luke Spencer.
Laura was concerned about Lucas taking such a huge risk, and Sonny was surprised Lucas wanted to help because of his involvement. Laura said it showed how much Lucas loved Marco. His love for Marco trumped everything else. She just wanted this whole thing over. Sonny assured her it would be, but she said she didn’t really know. Sidwell was deadly and calculating. She was so happy after her re-election and on such a high. Sonny said, then Sidwell struck, and she said, he waited for that moment and planned all the details together brilliantly. Sonny asked if she was worried Sidwell would put the pieces together and try to take them down again, and she said, wasn’t he?
Lucas went back to Windymere and looked at the photo of Marco in front of the safe, then opened the safe.
Obrecht said Willow intended on hiring Chase as her Chief of Staff? and wondered if Willow was committed to self-sabotage and scandal. Nina said Willow had sincere feelings for Chase. He’d stood by her at Drew’s trial and risked his career to get her justice. He cared about her. Obrecht said Willow had cheated on an ailing Chase and left him for another man, but Nina said she had no way of knowing what a monster Michael would become. Then Drew seduced her. Obrecht said, poor Willow, the victim. She was a viper who could turn on Nina too. Nina said she was only worried that her daughter was setting herself up for heartbreak, and Obrecht told her not to underestimate her daughter. If Willow wanted Chase, she didn’t doubt Willow would find a way to get him.
Willow gave the paperwork to Alexis and asked Chase what was going on. He said Alexis had found Phoebe’s biological father and he’d agreed to let them adopt Phoebe, and Willow hugged him. She said it was no surprise Alexis pulled off a miracle. She certainly had for her.
Brook arrived at the MetroCourt Gardens and flashed back to asking Chase why he’d risk his career investigating the charges against Willow. It seemed the only truth he wanted was the one that exonerated Willow and she wanted him to stay as far away from this as possible. Let Drew be Willow’s hero. He said if she was wrongfully convicted, he couldn’t live with himself. Brook moved on to thinking about Willow telling them the charges were being dropped and she’d never forget what Chase had done for her. She flashed back to her and Chase deciding to foster Phoebe, and then at the boathouse, when Chase told her that Willow would help them get what they wanted. She said something didn’t feel right, but Chase insisted there was nothing going on between him and Willow. She said it had been the second time she’d found Chase alone with Willow, but he said he had no feelings with Willow. She said Willow obviously had feelings for him, and flashed back within the flashback to seeing Willow hug Chase at Drew’s house, then threatening her. She saw Lucy and sat down with her. Lucy was worried it was about Sidwell, but Brook said she could exhale. It was purely personal. Promise to keep it between them. Lucy said she was a vault… She could be a vault. Brook said someone was after her husband and she needed Lucy’s help to stop them.
Ava said Ethan’s mark just walked in. Brook was an heiress and her family had more money than God. Nothing made someone more vulnerable than a child. He was setting them up. He’d wait until the adoption was almost finalized, swoop in, reveal himself as Phoebe’s father, and make the Quartermaines pay big. It was inspired really. They both knew the size of the payoff depended on the level of desperation and came down to the timing. He asked what her point was, and she said he might end up with a baby he didn’t actually want without a penny to show for it.
Chase said he was grateful to both Willow and Alexis, but Willow said it all went back to Alexis. She wouldn’t be in a position to help them if it wasn’t for Alexis. The three of them being together was fitting. She owed her freedom to both of them. Alexis for her brilliant legal defense, and Chase for believing in her and risking his job to fight for her. Chase said it had been the right thing to do. Willow was innocent. She said Chase’s faith in her meant everything.
Brook said Willow had been exceptionally helpful lately, and Lucy said it sounded like someone was helping themselves to Brook’s husband. Brook said every time she turned around, there was Willow, fawning all over Chase, who swore it was completely innocent. Chase was kind and honest, and she knew he loved her and would never cheat. Lucy said it was a rather slippery slope, and Brook asked what to do. Lucy said Brook was doing the right thing by staying calm. Accusing Chase of something that he hadn’t technically done wouldn’t help Brook or her cause. Brook said what Willow was doing was so obvious. She wished Chase could see the truth. Lucy said Chase was never going to see Willow the way Brook did. She needed to stay focused. Keep her eyes on the prize and remember Willow was the opponent. She was the one Brook would have to outmaneuver. Brook said that’s why she came to Lucy. She needed an ally. Lucy said she was an ally, but Brook really needed an accomplice. Down the road, she might need an alibi, but they’d play that by ear. Brook said she did warn Willow to stay away from Chase, but then found her cozying up to him afterward at her home. Lucy said, no ma’am, and Brook said she couldn’t let that slide, right? Willow needed to know she didn’t make empty threats. Lucy said, exactly. Brook had come to the right place. In the world of adultery, she was the master and Brook would be her apprentice.
Ethan told Ava that he was always motivated by money, but he was also an orphan. He wasn’t going to allow a little girl to be raised by him, a man with no paternal instincts, or given to a family he couldn’t vet. He knew the Quartermaines and Brook and Chase were amazing parents. It was obvious how much they loved that little girl. He had the opportunity to ensure that his daughter grew up in an amazing house with people who loved her and only wanted what was best for her. Ava said, who also happened to be filthy rich. Was it for Phoebe or for him? He said, Phoebe. He was a mercenary, not a monster. He’d promised Delilah that her child would have a good life and was trying to make sure that happened. Ava said all she had to do was keep quiet, and he wondered if that was too much to ask. She said, fine, but her silence wouldn’t come cheap.
Sonny burned the photos and negatives, and told Laura that he really wanted to do this his way. She said, but out of respect for her, he wouldn’t, and he said Lucas was taking a big chance, as was his right, but he’d proven that he could do it. She said, Lucas was honoring someone he loved and they both got that, and he said, now that they were on the same page, how did she want to handle this? It was up to them to see this through. She said she knew what she needed to do and couldn’t wait to do it. Sonny laughed as the photos burned.
Sidwell came in and said he hadn’t realized Lucas was home. Was there something he could help with?
On the phone in the GH parking lot, Obrecht said she’d just searched Britt’s office. Of course (🍷) she was within her rights. She was Britt’s mutter. She was hoping to find something the police overlooked, but Nein. She got into her car and thanked them for the words of encouragement. She just prayed to God they were right. In the meantime, she wasn’t giving up. Talk to them soon. She was about to start the car, when a gloved hand reached from the backseat and covered her mouth. It was Cullum.
On Monday, Portia asks Isaiah to hold off for now; Sidwell tells Nathan that finding Britt is no longer a priority; Trina asks why Kai is so intent on her delegating; Laura says she and Sonny endured this nightmare together, so they should end it together; and Josslyn asks what they did to a passed out Obrecht.

💉 A Dose Of Reality…
Below Deck Down Under
At last, it was the final charter, with guests who clearly didn’t understand that fish was seafood, and guest Patrick pretty much not liking anything but burgers and pizza, and probably chicken nuggets and Tater Tots. There was a Seven Dealy Sins themed dinner, where primary Brandon doing double duty by dressing in rainbow garb and being Pride and Greed. Surprisingly, the guests claimed it was the best charter ever and tipped the crew a generous $34.5K or $2900 each. The grand total was $235,700 or $26,189 each. Not bad for being workhorses for mostly ungrateful rich people for six weeks. During the last crew night out, everyone pretended like they’d grown and were better people, but it was doubtful. Jenna, however, did get her stripes back.
Summer House – Reunion Part 2
Much of the same regarding West and Amanda, with West feebly trying to defend himself, and Amanda not saying much of anything. Receipts went back and forth trying to prove whether or not they’d hooked up prior to Amanda and Kyle splitting. Amanda needed a moment, and after she walked off, the rest of the cast – mostly Lindsay – screeched at West to go after his woman.
In the City
It was probably a bad idea to start this show before the other one officially ended since it made the timeline confusing The Reunion took place long after the filming, so Amanda, West, and Ciara were all hanging out as friends, causing me to go, WTF? more than once. I just didn’t see how Kyle didn’t realize the end was coming when he was behaving like an a-hole pretty much throughout the entire run of Summer House. Another huge clue might have been when Amanda signed a one-year lease on an apartment, but none of the dudes in this friend group seem particularly savvy.
The Valley
Danny’s drinking, Brittany’s mommy makeover, Michelle and Jesse at the finish line of their divorce… I think. Brandon wasn’t exactly a stellar nurse’s aid for Brittany post-op and Schwartz showed up like a bad penny. I’m not really sure what that means, but I like the sound of it. Zack had a housewarming party after his roommate moved out, and as usual, when the show was over, I was glad this isn’t my friend group.

As Reunions go, this one was pretty boring. It seemed like a literal rehash of last week’s episode, and I could barely pay attention.

👀 Last Weekend’s Watch…
The WONDERfools. Netflix. – In this 8-part limited series (or is it?), three misfits, who would fit in with the Scooby Doo gang, accidentally get superpowers. People are disappearing and when dark forces begin to close in, they band together with the hot local civil servant who has his own powers to fight the evil. Funny and fresh, the series starts off lighthearted, but definitely gets darker. The special effects are excellent, and the fight scenes are creative, and the casting spot-on. There was a also a V reference which I appreciated. It’s all about the K, but dubbed in English so you don’t have to work too hard for your viewing pleasure.

I had some catching up to do, and spent time with Beyond the Gates (Paramount+) and From (MGM+), as well as soldiering on with Black (TubiTV). Speaking of the latter, it renewed my interest in learning Korean, so I actually started using my Babbel lessons.
