What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Carly thanks Diane for coming over so quickly, and Diane says, it sounded urgent. Carly says she needs Diane to keep her out of prison.

At the new apartment, Josslyn opens the door to Dex.

Violet runs to Finn, and he asks if she had fun sleeping over. She asks, how is he? Is he feeling better?

Sam comes home, and tells Dante that Scout was nervous in the car, but when they got there, she couldn’t wait for the sleepover. She wants to make sure Danny won’t hear their conversation, and starts to check on him upstairs, but Dante says, Jason came and picked Danny up. She asks where they went.

Walking into the garage, Jason says, sorry the gym was closed, but Danny says, this is way better than working out. They go over to Jason’s bike, and Jason asks if Danny is sure he’s ready do this. Danny says, oh yeah.

Dante tells Sam that Jason was taking Danny to the gym, and Danny was stoked. He thought it would be okay with her. Was he wrong? She says, yes, but he couldn’t have known what was going on. He asks what he’s missing, and she says, Spinelli found out what the FBI is holding over Jason. Jason stayed away all this time because the Feds have evidence against Carly.

Jason says, the most important thing is safety. Not just for kids, for everybody. If he needs to know something, ask. He tells Danny that he does his own maintenance. It’s important in case you get stuck. Danny says, especially if someone is after you. Did Jason’s father teach him? Jason says, Alan? Not that he recalls. He fixed people, not machines. Danny asks when he learned, and Jason says, after his accident.

Carly tells Diane, when Sonny was in Nixon Falls and everyone but Nina thought he was dead, she went meeting with the Five Families and claimed to be head of Sonny’s organization. Diane says, no judgement, but why did she do that? and Carly says, Cyrus was trying to take over Sonny’s territory so he could pass a highly addictive narcotic through Port Charles. It was the same drug Sasha got hooked on. Diane says, it wasn’t just civic altruism, and Carly says, there was a threat to her family that was business related. Someone at the meeting was wearing a wire, and the FBI has an audio file of her committing RICO violations. Diane asks how she became aware of it, and Carly says, a reliable source hacked into their database and retrieved the file. Diane says, good. Another felony. She doesn’t want to know the source, but asks why they were doing a deep dive into the database in the first place.

Finn tells Violet not to ever worry about him, and she asks how his cut is. Did he have to go to the hospital? He says his hand is fine. He just needed a bandage. She says, there was a lot of blood, and he says he knows, but it looked worse than it was. Violet asks if they can go home now, and he says he’d love to, but she’s going to stay with Uncle Chase for a while longer. She says she wants to come home, and he says, that’s what he wants too, but he’s not going home. He’s going away. She says, he has to take her with him, but he says, it’s just for a little while. She says she doesn’t care and wants to come, but he says, she can’t go where he’s going. Daddy is sick. His hand is better, but his head and heart… He cries and says he was so sad after grandpa died, he started drinking alcohol and never should done that. That’s why he fell asleep on the floor. Violet says, can’t he stop? and he says, some people can stop. He thought he was one of them, but he was wrong. He needs to go to a special hospital where they’re going to help him stop for good. She asks, how long he’ll be gone, and he says, the doctor says three months. She says, that’s a long time. Does he really have to go? He says he does, and she says, but she can help him stop.

Josslyn asks what Dex is doing here, and he says he wanted to look at her new place. She asks how he found it, and he says he used his sharp detective skills. She said it was above the Quartermaines’ garage, so he followed that lead. She says, hidden in plain sight. She wonders how he got past the gate, and he says, it was open. He thinks someone is visiting. She tells him that he needs better detective skills, and he says he’s still learning. He knows moving is a pain, so he brought provisions. He holds up a bag from Bobbie’s, and says he brought enough for Trina. She says, Trina is taking care of her Aunt Stella, who is sick, and he asks if she needs help. She says, yes, and asks him to come in. She’s finished cleaning, but needs help moving something that’s not heavy, but awkward. Dex says, it’s nice to have another set of hands, and they move a box that not awkward at all and looks like she could have moved it herself.

Violet says, if she helps Finn, he can stay with her, and Finn says he doesn’t want to leave her ever, but if he doesn’t go, he won’t get better. What happened can never happen again. He’s sorry. She must have been afraid when she found him. She says she thought he was dead like grandpa, and he says he’s sorry. He’s proud of her for calling Tracy and getting help. It was the absolutely right thing to do. Violet cries and says she wants to take care of him, but he says, that’s not the way it’s supposed to be. He should be taking care of her. She says, they can take care of each other, and he says, they’re good at that, but he has to be able to, and right now he’s not. That’s why he has to go away, so he can come back and be the best dad, a dad she deserves. He made a terrible mistake and none of it is her fault. She’s perfect and he loves her so much, more than life itself. They hug and everyone in the room is crying.

Jason tells Danny that he was worried about AJ drinking and driving, so he got in the car with him. The car crashed, and the next thing he knew… the first thing he knew was, he didn’t know anybody. Not his family, his name, nothing. Danny says, that must have been hard, and Jason asks if he knows what TBI is. Danny says, traumatic brain injury, and Jason says, that’s what he had. Danny says, mom told him that Jason is drawn to danger and that’s why he does dangerous jobs. Jason says, he’s done dangerous work that he can’t talk about, but mom doesn’t want Danny to get hurt. He suggests they get back to the bike, and Danny asks if it’s hard to learn to ride. Jason says he wasn’t a natural, but it wasn’t hard to learn. He loved it from the start.

Carly tells Diane that she wasn’t involved with getting the file. Someone brought it to her. Diane asks if she’s being blackmailed, but Carly says she’s not. Jason is. It’s the reason he lost 3 years with his family. The FBI threatened to charge her if he didn’t become an informant, and she has it on good authority that they won’t honor the deal. Diane asks if she’s sure the authority is legit, and Carly says, if anyone would know, he would, and he said when Jason was no longer of use to the FBI, they’ll charge her anyway. Diane says she can’t disagree, and Carly says, why should Jason spend one more day under the FBI’s thumb. She wants to call their bluff. Let them charge her and they’ll fight it in court. She needs to know, what are her chances of being acquitted?

Diane asks if Carly actually conducted mob business. Did she make any illegal money transfers? Did she launder money? Did she transfer illegal or stolen goods? Carly says, no, to all of it, and Diane asks if her name is on any incriminating documents. Carly says she doesn’t think so, and Diane asks if anyone at the meeting would be willing to testify against her. Who was at the meeting? Carly says, Cyrus Renault and Selina Wu. Vincent Novak and Charles Buscema are dead. If anyone testified, they wouldn’t be long for this world. Diane asks if the FBI has the sole audio file, and Carly asks what she’s thinking. Diane says, in this age of deep fakes and digital trickery, the chain of custody of the evidence is essential. The FBI would have to produce the original file to prove it’s not altered. Carly says, her source said the file couldn’t be altered or deleted. Where does that leave her? Diane says, given her and Sonny’s long history with the Feds and her recent dust up with the SEC, she thinks the FBI might have a strong case.

Josslyn asks what Dex learned in school today, and he says, they’re doing de-escalation training. He bets that make civilian courses. She asks if he’s suggesting she take one, but he says, no. He loves how she never backs down from a fight. Don’t lose that. She asks what he learned, and he says, each situation is different. It’s a judgement call every time. Sometimes you have to rush in and act fast, but most of the time, you’re better served to take a step back and see what happens before you do something you can’t take back. She says she’s learning that herself. She’s done a few things recently that she wishes she could take back. He says him too.

Danny thanks Jason for letting him help change the oil, but Jason says, he helped Danny. Danny did the work. Danny asks when Jason is going to teach him to ride.

Sam tells Dante about the recording of Carly meeting with the Five Families, and how it’s being held over Jason’s head. He asks if she realizes what she’s done. Forget Carly. She breached and FBI file; it’s a federal crime. If she’s caught, she’ll go to prison. Sam says, the hack was bulletproof, but Dante asks if she doesn’t think they can trace it back to Spinelli. Who else knows? She says, Spinelli, Carly, and now him, and he says, now he’s an accessory. She can’t tell anyone. If the FBI finds out about Spinelli hacking their database at her request, she’ll be taken away from her kids.

Chase says, they should get going, and Finn says, Violet is going to have so much fun. He’ll be back before she knows it. She says she’ll miss him, and he says he’ll miss her. She tries to put a friendship bracelet on him, but it doesn’t fit, so he puts it in his shirt pocket and says he’s going to put it next to his heart and keep it there always. He loves her. She says she loves him too, and he and Chase go to the door. Chase opens it, and Finn blows Violet a kiss. She catches it, and they leave. Violet cries, and Brook hugs her.

Dex says, it’s a great place, and Josslyn says she lucked out. He says he used to think about someday helping her move out of the dorm and into his place, and she says, her too. He says he enjoyed dinner, and she says her too. He says, hypothetically of course (🍷), what would it take for them to get back to where they were before? and she says, before what? He says, before he told her that he was willing to kill someone for Sonny.

Chase pulls up to Sky Meadow Lodge, and Finn thanks him for letting him say goodbye to Violet. He knows it went against the restraining order. Chase says, what he did wasn’t about the restraining order. Finn needed to see Violet before he left. Finn says he’s sorry about the things he said to Chase and Brook. The things he said to Elizabeth, he can’t forgive himself, and the worst of it was that he passed out and scared his little girl. Chase says, it could have been worse, and Finn says, only Chase could find a silver lining in this. Chase says, a lot of people take a restraining order as a challenge and show up anyway. The number of domestic disturbances he’s had to break up… Kids see knock down drag outs with their parents, and he’s seen the looks on their faces as the parents are taken away. He thanks Finn for not putting Violet in the middle and making it worse for his daughter. Finn says he heard Violet thought he was dead and left her forever. How could he do that to her? Chase says, because he has an illness. That’s why he’s going away, to get well. Finn says, his kid brother, and Chase says he’s been grown up for a while now. Finn says, this is different. Now Chase is coming to his rescue. Chase says that’s just because he’s a nice guy, and Finn thanks him for taking care of his little girl. Chase says he’s Finn’s brother, and Finn says, he did the right thing. He knows Chase was trying to protect Violet, and he’ll always be grateful for that.

Danny says he hears it’s easier than riding a bike, but Jason says, they’ll have to ask his mom first. Danny says, he was just kidding, yet kinda hoping, and Jason says, maybe next time, if mom agrees. Danny says he doesn’t see that happening, and Jason says, there are other things to do. Danny says, like what? and Jason says, they’ll figure it out. He’s seen Danny can do anything he sets his mind to. Danny says, tell that to his algebra teacher, and Jason asks if he needs help with math. Danny asks if Jason is good at math, and Jason says he uses it in his job. Danny asks if Jason shoots hoops, but Jason says he hasn’t for a while.  

Sam says, Spinelli covered their tracks flawlessly, but Dante says, Cates knows Spinelli after what happened when he was shot. Sam says, it would be impossible to prove, and Dante says, they broke federal laws. That’s exactly why he didn’t want her to get involved. She says she needed to know what they had on Jason, and he asks if she’d rather stay with her kids or have them visit her in prison. She says, stay with her kids, and he says, then she’s got to leave it alone. Talk to no one, and whatever she found out, leave it alone, act like it never happened, and hope it doesn’t come out.

Chase tells Finn not to worry. He and Brook will take great care of Violet. Finn says he knows. Tell her every day that he loves her, and he’ll be back as soon as he can. Chase says, that’s what they all want, but no shortcuts. Don’t convince himself he’s got it handled or just had a slip. Finn says, it’s not his first rodeo, and Chase says, if he’s in doubt, think of how devastated Violet would be to be put through this again, and stop. Finn says, he’ll do it for Violet, but it’s not easy, and Chase says, the best thing he can do is get well for his child. Finn says, Chase is a good cop, and Chase wonders what that has to do with it. Finn says he knows Chase has seen stuff, and Chase says, it comes with the job. Finn says, but he still wants to help. It’s a quality he admires.

Brook brings Violet a snack, but she says she’s not hungry, so Brook puts it on the coffee table. She asks if Violet has any questions, and Violet says, her dad is going to a hospital. Will he be in bed? Will he be able to watch TV? Will people be nice to him? Brook says, it’s beautiful there. He won’t want to stay in bed or watch TV. He’s going to hike and swim, and the people there are kind. They’re going to help him learn how not to drink. Violet asks if it’s like camp, and Brook says, kinda like camp. Violet says, camp is fun. If her dad is away, what is she going to do? Brook says, there’s so much to do here. Name it. Violet says she’d like to go swimming, and Brook says, Uncle Chase said he’d teach her to ride a bike. Violet says, and he told her that she’s almost ready to ditch her training wheels. She’d also like to go horse riding. Brook says, coincidentally, they have a whole stable of horses. Violet knows some of them, but Brook knows the rest will love to meet her.

Josslyn tells Dex that she doesn’t know how they can put it behind them. There are people she cares about who have crossed that line, but what’s important is that he didn’t. When she told him at dinner that he didn’t have to prove anything, that he’d done good enough to redeem himself, she meant it. She thought he’d joined the PCPD for her – she knows how to make about her – but she sees he did it for himself. The longer he’s there, the more she sees that’s where he wants to be. Did she get it right? He says, 100%, and she says, then she’s happy for him. He says, to be clear, if being a cop impressed or pleased her, he’s good with that.

Dante says, Sam knows He’s right. He’s just trying to help. She says, knowing that Jason did this to save Carly… She’d thought that maybe for once he’d put his kids first, but Carly is his first priority. Always has been and always will be. Nothing else matters. If Danny knew that, it would break his heart. Dante says, she needs to make sure he never knows.

Diane says, the FBI’s case rests solely on Carly’s admission that she was head of the Corinthos organization. Even if it was just as a figurehead, it will land her in hot water, but she had a compelling reason. She walked into a room of known crime figures, pretending to be one of them, to protect her children. Carly says she was terrified, and Diane says she knows from experience how compelling Carly is as a witness and how she can play to a jury. Even with Diane’s skills, knowledge of the law, and tricky tricks, she thinks the best they can hope for is a 30% chance of acquittal. Carly says, that means there’s a 70% chance of her going to federal prison, and Diane says she doesn’t like those odds, for Carly or for Donna.

Sam leaves a message for Spinelli, and tells him, the case they’re working on, don’t do anything until he hears back from her. Danny and Jason come in, and Dante asks, how was the gym? Danny says, it was closed. They went to the garage instead and tuned up Jason’s bike. He changed the oil. Dante says, those are awesome skills to have, and Jason says he should get going. He leaves, and Sam says, it sounds like Danny had a good time. Danny says, he did. Jason is the best. He tells Dante, no offense, and Dante says, none taken. Danny goes upstairs, and Dante hugs Sam.  

Carly tells Diane that she doesn’t know how she can leave Donna with the way Sonny is acting. But it’s not fair for Jason to be under the FBI’s thumb. Diane says, Jason doesn’t need saving. Let him do whatever he’s doing, He’s capable and strategy is his thing. If Carly’s got a plan to rush in and save him, historically, how has that worked? Whatever arrangement he has going, has kept her out of prison so far. Carly says she doesn’t know for how much longer and wants to be prepared. Can they work on a defense just in case? Diane says she can work on one. She tells Carly to sit tight, and leaves.

Dex tells Josslyn that he has an early morning. Her? Josslyn says she lucked out. she has nothing tomorrow morning. Are the cadets running in the park? He says, always, and she says, maybe she’ll see him there. They leave together.

Violet says, it’s a big house, and Brook asks if she just noticed. Violet says, it’s different when she stays over. She could get lost. Brook is lucky she used to live here. Brook says, the best part is the people who live here, her family. And the greatest part of family is that when you’re sick or in trouble, the rest step up and help out. Violet says, like they’re helping her dad, and Brook says, Violet is helping him too. She’s being very brave. Violet says, it’s easy when you’ve got help, and Brook says, they’re glad to help. That’s what family is for. Violet says she’s glad they’re family, and Brook says her too. She hugs Violet.

Finn says, it’s time to do this, and Chase says, he’ll walk Finn in, but Finn says he’s got it from here. It’s not like he can make a break for it. Chase says he’s not worried, and Finn says, Chase is a lousy liar. Promise to look after Violet, give her a kiss, and tell her that he loves her. Chase says, she knows that, but he will, and Finn says he loves Chase. Chase says he loves Finn too, and Finn says, dad would be proud. Chase says, dad would be proud of Finn taking this step, and Finn says, there’s no point in stalling any longer. Chase says, on the count of three, and Finn says, one… Chase says, two… and with tears in his eyes, Finn gets out of the car. Chase watches him as he goes to the door, hesitates, then walks inside. Chase pounds on the steering wheel, puts on his seatbelt, and drives away.

Tomorrow, Brook asks what Chase thinks of Tracy’s idea; Blaze asks if Kristina is saying she’s going after custody of the baby; and Jason says, everything he did to protect Carly means nothing.

General Hospital

Somewhere in Greenland. Curtis asks if Valentin thinks they were seen, and Anna adds, or heard. Valentin says, the Haunted Star is docked. Let’s hope their radar’s off. Drew says, If it’s not, radar is usually used to detect debris, other ships, icebergs, things like that. They came in low, beneath the hills, and landed on the opposite side of the island. Curtis says, they took the scenic route, and Valentin says, it’s the safest way to approach the island undetected. Curtis says, and for bringing home Trina and Liesl, and Laura’s grandsons.

Holly goes to Anna’s hospital room, and says, Robert’s busy lobbying the Bureau about stepping up the rescue. Anna says, whatever it takes. The island is in international waters, so not any government can claim it. Holly says, no sovereignty to answer to; you’d think that would make it easier. Anna asks if he said anything else, and Holly says she was hoping on reflection he’d decide they were crazy to think Victor’s in possession of a biological weapon, but he does think that is the likely scenario. Anna says, he’s going to have to convince them of that, and give them airtight evidence to convince them to take any action. Holly asks how they find airtight proof, and Anna says she called in a favor. There’s a knock at the door, and Holly opens it. Andre says, Anna Devane, what have you gotten yourself into this time. I love Andre!

Jordan calls Curtis, but gets voicemail. She says, it’s a long time to have his phone off. Call her.

Josslyn walks into the squad room, and asks Dante where her mom is. He says, she’s in the interrogation room with the SEC, and Josslyn asks if they said what it was about. He says, all he can tell her is, her mom’s in a bit of trouble.

In the interrogation room, Diane says her client is absolutely willing to cooperate, even though they dragged her out of her son’s wedding to bring her down here. SEC guy 1 says, they apologize, but it’s a very serious matter. They have reason to believe Carly colluded with Drew Cain to raise the stock price of Aurora Media. SEC guy 2 says, and it could send her and Drew to prison.

Michael says, how are you feeling, Mrs. Corinthos? and Willow says, happily married, Mr. Corinthos. How about him? He says, same. He’s just sorry this business with his mother interrupted their night. She says, interrupted, but didn’t derail. They got married; that’s what matters. She is worried about his mom though. He says he’s sure this will all get sorted out, when Sonny comes in, and asks if they spoke to Diane. The SEC got a tip that Carly colluded with Drew during the ELQ/Aurora merger last year. Michael says, that merger didn’t even happen. What’s the big deal? Willow wonders what it means for Michael. He had a division at Aurora, and he’s a major shareholder at ELQ. Will they bring charges against him too?

Frank tells Dex, sweep’s done. There are no bugs in the warehouse. Dex says, great. Boss wants him to check the perimeter while he gets everything set up. Frank leaves, and Dex takes out a tiny camera. Brick walks in and says, got you now, kid.

Portia looks at a photo of her and Trina from the wedding on her phone, and flashes back to Trina saying I love you on the phone call from the Haunted Star. Scotty says, Dr. Robinson, or is it Dr. Ashford? and Portia says, it’s still Dr. Robinson. She asks how she can help him, and he says, she’s here by herself. He thought she could use a little company, since they’re kind of in the same boat. She thanks him, and says, that would be lovely, and she’s told him before, please, it’s Portia. He must be so worried about Liesl. He says he is, but she’s a tough cookie, and if you cross her, she’s kind of dangerous. He finds that comforting right now. Not to make things worse… She says she doesn’t think he can, but he says he can. Just ask anybody. Trina’s not a mad scientist like Liesl. Those Cassadines… Portia must be scared about what they have up their sleeves. Portia says she is, and Scotty says, she must be worried sick, which brings him to his million dollar question. Why is she here at the hospital and not at home? She says, simply put, work is the only thing keeping her from losing her mind right now.

Anna introduces Andre to Holly, and Holly wonders why she knows that name… Oh, right. He was involved in the Anamnesis Project. He says, and he’s been trying to right that wrong ever since, and Holly says, he has her empathy. A short time ago, she got mixed up in something deplorable, and ever since, she’s been trying to help the Bureau in any way she can. Anna says, Andre’s been doing the same. Thankfully, he’s been backchanneling into the Bureau’s records without raising any alarm. Andre takes out his tablet, and says, unfortunately, he doesn’t have access to any files directly related to Project Demeter, but he’s hoping he got them the next best thing. Back when he was doing psyche evals for the Bureau, he had access to the complete dossier of the original operation against the Cassadines. Holly says, the crazy weather machine? That was… He says, forty years ago. Holly says she’s amazed they didn’t delete all those files with Victor in charge, and Andre says he’s sure they did. Fortunately, the WSB is an institution of many failsafes and redundancies. So he just downloaded it off the server. Holly asks if that isn’t traceable, and he says, oh yes. When they realize he did it, they’re going to come looking for him, and he’ll have a lot of questions to answer. Anna says, they’d better find something quick.

Jordan leaves a message for Laura, saying, she just called Laura’s office, and they said she was taking personal time. Give her a call back please.

Josslyn says, insider trading? and Dante says, in the Aurora/ELQ merger. She says, but her mom lost money; she lost her hotel. He says, the SEC doesn’t care whether her mom lost money or not. They care about the timing of the stock mergers. Jordan comes by, and Josslyn says, her mom didn’t do anything wrong. Jordan says she hopes that proves to be true, but at the moment there are far more pressing matters going on in Port Charles than some business deal. Josslyn says, exactly. Like finding Trina and Spencer and Ace, and nobody is sure how much longer Willow can wait for Liesl Obrecht. Jordan says, she’s right there with Josslyn, and hopes their colleagues at the SEC treat her mom fairly. Josslyn says, she does have Diane, and Jordan says, with any luck, and Ms. Miller’s skill, they’ll release her mother as soon as they’re done questioning her. Dante says, they’re looking for Drew as well. Carly’s not going to give him up. Jordan says, Drew went radio silent too? and Dante asks if someone else went off grid. Jordan tells him to hold down the fort here. She needs to go check in on somebody.

Dex says he thought Brick was overseeing things on the west coast, but Brick says, it wasn’t a problem to fly out. The deal’s important, and it’s a good thing he came; Sonny’s been delayed. Family matters. Sonny shouldn’t be too long, but he’s here just in case.

Sonny says, the tip that the SEC got only concerns Carly and Drew. They’re working under the assumption that Michael was in the dark about any conversation as far as the merger. He asks Michael if that’s true, and Michael says, of course (🍷). Willow says, maybe Michael should go to the station and be with his mother and Joss, but Michael says, there’s no way he’s leaving her side. She says she’ll still be here when he gets back, and Sonny tells them to have fun on their wedding night. Eat cake, do whatever they have to do. He’s going to see if Carly and Josslyn are okay. He leaves, and Michael looks guilty, as he should.

SEC1 says, Carly and Drew have a close relationship, and Carly says, they’re members of the same extended family, and Drew is her son’s uncle. SEC2 says, they look pretty friendly right here, handing her a picture. Diane laughs, and we see it’s a picture of them hugging. She says, as her client stated, they’re members of the same extended family, and another member of that extended family, namely her client’s daughter-in-law, was recently diagnosed with Stage IV leukemia. When did it become a violation of SEC standards for family members to comfort each other? SEC1 says, they’re not unreasonable – Diane says, yes they are – and they don’t want to make an example out of her. She’s a public citizen, and it will go easy for her if she cooperates, and tells them where they can find Drew Cain.

Michael says he’s sorry this went down on their wedding day, and Willow asks if he called in the tip. He says, no, and she says, then it’s not his fault. She kisses him and seems a little dizzy for a moment. He asks if she’s okay, and she says, he’s never made a woman swoon before? He suggests she go upstairs, and get comfortable. There’s still plenty of food and champagne. No reason they can’t still celebrate. She says she likes the way he thinks. Let’s do it. He helps her up, and she leaves. Ned says he’s sorry. He really hates that things went down like this today. Michael asks what he means. This is exactly what Ned wanted.

Carly asks if they’ve checked Drew’s office, and SEC1 says, they know where he isn’t. Tell them where he is. Carly says, go to hell, and SEC2 asks Diane if she has any advice for her client at this juncture. Diane says she thinks they all just heard her client make her position abundantly clear, and as for this tender moment caught by the GH security cameras, they could have footage of her client and Mr. Cain making out like hormonal teenagers, and they still have no indication of the actual substance of their conversation. So they’ll have to do a hell of a lot better than that. She slides the picture back across the table, and SEC1 says, her client, who had no previous investments in Aurora Media, made a seven figure stock purchase immediately prior to the proposed merger between Aurora and ELQ. The timing alone presents a strong enough argument of collusion and insider trading. Although they are within their rights to hold Miss Spencer for 24 hours without charging her. Diane asks, can her client at least get some coffee if this is going to turn into a staycation for her, or is that an upcharge? SEC1 throws up his hands, and Diane goes into the squad room with Carly.

Josslyn hugs Carly, and says she’s worried about her. Sonny walks in, and says, they all are.

Drew asks if Valentin has anything, but Valentin says he’s still trying to get a satellite signal; give him a second. Drew says, keep at it, but in the meantime – he unfolds a map – the plan remains the same. The Haunted Star docked here – he points – on the west side of the island about 14 hours ago. Curtis asks how far they are from the boat, and Drew tells them, he’d say less than an hour. The island is small; less than one square mile. They just have to cross the land mass without getting caught. Valentin says, good thing they’re dressed warmly, and Curtis says, just so they’re on the same page, they’re not here to take down Victor Cassadine. Whatever he has planned is between him and the Bureau. They have to stick to their original plan of rescuing Trina, Spencer, Obrecht, and the baby. This is no time for anyone’s personal vendetta. Are they clear? Valentin says, crystal.

Anna says, some of this is redacted, when there’s a knock at the door. Jordan walks in, saying, she needs to talk to Anna about… She stops short, and says, Andre. He says, it’s been a long time, and she says, years in fact. What is he doing in Port Charles? Anna says, he heard about her ordeal, and wanted to check on her. Jordan says, of course (🍷) he did. She’s sure this has nothing to do with the fact no one can reach Laura, Curtis, or Drew. And since Valentin isn’t here by Anna’s bedside, and Andre is, that means something’s going down. Please tell her that they haven’t gone off on some half-baked rescue mission of their own. Holly says, they can neither confirm nor deny a rescue mission, half-baked or otherwise, and Jordan says she was afraid of that. Anna says she should have looped Jordan in. Her bad. Sorry. Jordan says, so Valentin, Curtis, Laura, and Drew all went out to rescue Trina and the others, and cause an international incident in the process? Holly asks if it would help to know where they’re going doesn’t technically belong to a sovereign nation, and Jordan says, just tell her how she can reach them. Holly says, so she can wish them luck? and Jordan says, so she can tell them to stand down. Anna says, Valentin does have a sat phone, but the reception is dodgy at best, and Jordan says, give her the number. Anna says she will, but she thinks it’s important to let them at least try to bring the hostages back. Jordan says, convince her. Why is this their only option? Anna says, because while a world government is sitting around debating what they’re going to do and what action to take, they can run out of time saving them. Jordan asks what she means, run out of time, and Andre closes the door. Anna says, they believe that Victor has been searching for a weapon of mass destruction. Holly says, and she thinks she knows what kind of weapon… the end of civilization.

Michael ask if Ned remembers what he said to him and Drew last fall, and Ned flashes back to saying, Michael’s mother knew about the potential merger; that’s why she bought the stock. That’s called insider trading, and it’s illegal. Martha Stewart went to prison for much less. Luckily for them, no one’s looked into it. It’s something they need to consider. Michael says, Ned threatened Drew that he could tip off the SEC. Now he has. Ned says, if Michael really thinks so little of him that he would send Michael’s mother to prison while his wife is dying, then Michael doesn’t know him at all. Michael says he guesses Ned is right. He really doesn’t.

Diane asks if Dante has any idea where Drew is, and he says, Drew was supposed to be at the wedding, walking Willow down the aisle. He guesses Drew’s plans changed. She asks if he thinks Drew got wind of the SEC’s interest and bolted, but he says, Drew doesn’t strike him as the type. She says, at least Carly isn’t antagonizing two federal agents for someone who ran off and left her holding the bag.

Carly says, the SEC knows about her and Drew; does Sonny know who might have said something? He says, the only people he knows who know about this are Brick and Olivia, and they would not say anything. Josslyn asks if they’re still holding Carly, and Carly says, yes. They think she knows where Drew is. Sonny says, does she? and lowering her voice, she says, he went after Victor to find Liesl, so he can bring her home to save Willow. And if the authorities find him, and get in his way… Sonny says, excuse him for a second, and leaves.

Brick says, Dex was with Sonny when he was ambushed. What was his take on the shooter? Dex says, he was a pro. He only missed the first shot because Dex saw movement out of the corner of his eye. Once he had them pinned, he was methodical. Brick says, so ex-military, and Dex says, almost certainly. Brick says, but a ghost. No fingerprints, DNA, nothing showed up on the database. Someone invested a whole lot of money to make this guy invisible. Dex wonders why he was after Sonny, and Brick says, that’s what Sonny wants to know. Brick’s phone rings, and he says, speaking of the devil. He asks Sonny, what’s up? and Sonny says, Carly and Drew are in a jam. He needs a favor. Brick says, name it, and while he’s talking, Dex sets the tiny camera up. Brick says he’ll get his people on it asap. No problem. Brick tells Dex that he has to take care of something for Sonny. Is he good here? Dex says, all good, and Brick leaves. A guard or whatever comes in, and Dex looks around nervously. Remind me not to send him to spy for me.

Scotty tells Portia that he knows what it’s like trying to distract yourself so your mind doesn’t go to bad places. Hell, he hasn’t been able to sleep in a while. He also knows what it’s like not to be able to help your child. Not that this is the same thing. She says, he doesn’t have to justify his fear. He loves Liesl, and they’re both here because the fear for their loved ones right now. He says, it’s the helplessness he can’t stand. Ever since Trina and Liesl were kidnapped, he has the sneaking suspicion he’s been kept in the dark. Robert, Anna, Felicia, and Laura. He thinks they know exactly when Victor has his martinis, and this whole Holly coming back to town… He thinks it’s all connected to Luke Spencer’s death. She asks why he says that, and he tells her, because Luke ended them in ’81, and they’re sore losers. So Victor got rid of Luke, and now Luke’s family wants to get rid of Victor, but who’s their collateral damage? Her and him… Trina, Liesl. God forbid you cross the Cassadines or the Spencers. Portia says she wishes she didn’t agree with him, but she’ll tell him one thing. She’s going to do everything in her power to make sure Spencer Cassadine does not come near her daughter ever again. And when Curtis brings Trina home… He asks what she means. Does she know something?

Andre asks what Holly found, and she hands him the tablet. He looks at it with Anna, and Holly says, the original dossier on the Cassadines from 1981. It’s got conversations between senior directors at the Bureau that even Robert wasn’t privy to back then. Anna says, so what they’re looking at are the psyche profiles of the three Cassadine brothers; Mikkos, Victor, and Tony. Ha-ha-ha! Tony? Which one of these things is not like the others? Anna says, Tony was more interested in living his playboy lifestyle than pulling off any kind of grand scheme. Jordan says, so no mastermind, and Holly says, unlike Mikkos, who was a megalomaniac, entirely fueled by greed and power. Jordan asks how this is different from Victor, and Anna says, while their actions might be very similar, their motivations were very different. Victor has always been an idealist, and evil certainly. Where Mikkos wanted to control the world, Victor was always determined to fix it. He really believed that these weapons they were developing would curtail the developing population that he believed was draining the resources of the world. Jordan asks if this is what Victor is trying to do now, and Anna says, Project Demeter. Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, who was so brokenhearted over her daughter Persephone; that’s what gave us the seasons. Holly says, in Greek mythology, one prayed and worshiped Demeter because she was responsible for the weather, and Andre says, is that the threat they’re dealing with? Could Victor be trying to reverse the climate crisis, and if so, why would he need hostages? Anna tells them, it says here that weather related tech was only one of the brother’s endeavors… Could Project Demeter be the Bureau’s attempt at retrieving all those weapons forty years ago? Holly says, scroll down.  There’s another weapon that hasn’t been accounted for yet. Anna scrolls down, and Jordan asks what it is. Anna says, an engineered virus, one that only a small portion of the population would be immune to. Jordan asks, how many wouldn’t be immune? and Anna says, according to this, the pathogen would be lethal to 80% of the population. Holly asks if this is what Victor’s idealism has led him to; saving the planet at the expense of 80% of the population? They have to get the WSB. She takes out her phone, but Andre puts his hand over it, and says, no. They can’t.

Ned says, Michael is dangerously close to saying things he can’t take back. Things that will make him look very bad when the truth comes out. Willow and Brook walk in as Michael says, the truth is, Ned is the one who pitched coming together to force Valentin out. Then when Drew put his company on the line, Ned double-crossed him. But Ned still thought he was a threat, so he turned Drew over to the SEC, and Michael’s mom was collateral damage. They all know Ned has no qualms about selling any of them out if it keeps him in power at ELQ. He even threw his own daughter out. Brook says, that’s enough, and Ned says, she’s right, it is, and walks out. Brook follows him, and Willow looks at Michael.

SEC1 tells Carly, good news. She’s free to go. Diane wonders what’s prompted this sudden change of heart, and he says, they found Drew Cain. He boarded a flight from San Diego to Maui fifteen minutes ago. In the meantime, the investigation is still ongoing, and charges could be pending. Diane says, understood, and she leaves with the SEC guys to finalize details. Carly tells Josslyn, the hell? Why does the SEC think Drew’s on his way to Maui? Sonny walks back in.

Valentin says he’s going to scope the area to see if he can find a satellite signal, and Drew says he’ll go to, to keep an eye out for Victor’s men. They leave, and Curtis asks how Laura is holding up. She says she’s cold, but also sort of energized. He asks if it takes her back to a more adventurous time, and she says, something like that. She’s trying to remember a time before all this madness began. Before the Cassadines infiltrated her life and tried to take it over. The first time she crossed paths with Victor and his brother, she was Trina’s age, and now Trina is on the Haunted Star. That’s the ship Helena gave to her and Luke for a wedding gift and then she cursed it, and she liked her curses. He says he’s not sure he much believes in curses, and she says she didn’t think that she did either, but Helena’s words have been looming over her for decades, and every time she thinks she’s gotten past it, it comes right back to haunt her again. He says, okay, so Helena’s dead. Hasn’t she won? Laura laughs and says, has she? The Cassadines keep finding ways to hurt her and her family, and now it’s her grandsons. It’s got to stop. Curtis says, then they stop it. If she says it’s a curse, it’s a curse. Then they break it, once and for all. She says she likes the sound of that.

Andre says, they can’t share their theory with the Bureau. Not now. Anna says she thinks they have more than just a theory, and Holly says, there’s a biological agent that could wipe out most of the world’s population. If not now, when? Andre says, let him put it like this. If she were the WSB and received this intel, what would she do? How would the Bureau react and respond to this information? Jordan says, clue her in, and Anna tells her that she thinks what Andre is saying is, if the Bureau finds out there’s a large scale weapon on the island, they’ll do everything in their power to neutralize it. Jordan asks if that’s not what they want, and Andre says, not if they send an aerial assault team to contain the virus. Anna says, they have to make a choice between saving eight people – Jordan says, including a baby – and saving eight billion. They’ll just bomb it. They’ll just wipe that island off the map, killing everyone. But might that not release the weapon? Just saying.

Carly asks what Sonny did, and he asks what she means. She says, the SEC found evidence that Drew’s heading west? Sonny says he hopes Drew can stay ahead of them, and she says, Drew wasn’t in San Diego, and he definitely wasn’t headed to Maui. He says, as long as it keeps the SEC busy, that’s all that matters, and she says, he didn’t have to do this. He says, do what? He knows things haven’t been great between them, but they’re still family; all of them. He tells her to keep him posted, and leaves.

Michael says he’s sorry he lost his cool like that, and Willow says, he’s worried about his mom, for good reason. He says, she’d be the first one to tell him not to waste this precious time, and Willow says, she’d be right. Willow wants to get back to the gatehouse, and spend some time with Wiley and Amelia. Let’s celebrate the start of our marriage with them. His phone rings, and he says, it’s his mom. Carly asks, how’s Willow? and he says, she’s fine. She’s just anxious for Carly. Carly says, it was dicey for a while, when they asked her where Drew was off to, and he asks what she said. She says she didn’t have to say anything. They’re under the impression Drew is headed to Hawaii. He asks, how? and she says, Michael’s father.

Jordan says, they couldn’t possibly, but Holly says, the Bureau’s focus is the greater good; protecting the many over the few. And as heartless as it may sound, they’d consider Trina, Spencer, and the baby expendable. Anna says, they must remember though, that Victor did take Obrecht to that island, presumably to make the pathogen viable. If she knows anything about Liesl, she won’t make it easy for him. Andre says, which means they have some time, and Jordan says, time for what? Holly says, time for Laura and the rest to bring the hostages home before they alert the Bureau to the situation. Andre says, it’s a calculated risk; Victor could still release the pathogen. Jordan says, well what’s the point in saving the world if they can’t save the people they care about?

Portia tells Scotty that she doesn’t actually know much. She just knows Curtis left town because he left her a note. Scotty says he doesn’t think Curtis would leave town by himself. Who went with him? She thinks he should speak to Anna, and he says he will. He thanks her, and leaves.

Valentin and Drew come back, and Valentin says, good news. He got a sat signal. They’re about half a mile from the Haunted Star. Curtis says, that’s good. Let’s go. They start to walk, when Drew says, whoa, and they all stop. He says, footprints. Would Victor have his guards patrolling this far? They hear voices, and hide behind a huge rock. A man says, so far no timetable on how long this thing is going to last. Two men come by, and one says, it’s deserted. The other says, we’re getting paid a lot more than a standard fee. We see Valentin’s phone in the snow.

Carly asks if they’re done here, but Diane says, not quite. There’s another matter Carly needs to be made aware of. Pending the SEC investigation, all of Drew’s accounts and assets have been frozen. Carly says, that’s ridiculous, and Diane says, so have Carly’s.

Ned says, can Brook believe it? For Michael to accuse him like that? Insinuate that he would… She says, double-cross Drew? Secure his own position as CEO and make sure Drew isn’t a threat? Sounds like his standard tactics to her. She walks off.

Willow says, Sonny sent the SEC down the wrong trail to buy Drew time, and Michael says, he really stepped up for her. Willow says, not just for her; for Michael too.

Dante says he’s got the feeling Sonny had something to do with this hit on Drew’s location, and Josslyn says, no comment. He asks why she’s not celebrating then… because it was Sonny. She says, no comment, and he says he knows she thinks Sonny did wrong by her mother and Michael, but maybe this is a sign that one day he’ll make things right.

Brick says, they’ve got company, and Pikeman’s guards come in. In a low voice, Brick tells Dex that their boss is fashionably late. Dex says, we’re ready. Where’s their boss? A guard asks, where’s his? and Sonny says he’s here. Are they going to get this started, or what? Dex glances at the camera. Again, he is no spy.

Anna says, so they’re in agreement. They’re going to wait for Valentin and  the crew to bring everyone back. Jordan asks, how much time? but Anna says she doesn’t know. They’ll have to figure it out. They can’t stall forever obviously. Andre says he has some contacts in the Canadian military; people he trusts. He’ll get word that they might want to get within striking distance. Anna thanks him, and Holly says she’ll try to reach Valentin. He needs to know about this. They leave, and Jordan asks if Anna needs something else. The worst she can say is no, so ask. Anna says, the Bureau is probably going to run its investigation through Jordan’s department, and if they find out the location of the island or what Victor’s really up to… Jordan says she’ll run interference for as long as she can, and Anna thanks her.

Anna’s room door is open a crack, and Scotty listens outside. Jordan says, they have to keep this under wraps. People would panic if they knew Victor had a biological weapon.

Jordan looks at the picture of her and Trina from the wedding, and says, come home, baby girl. Please, please come home.

On the phone, Holly says, come on Valentin. Please pick up.

One of the Greenland guards suggests they go back, and the other says, sounds good to him. They start to move on, when Valentin’s phone rings. A guard says, hear that?

On Monday, Laura says, they give Victor exactly what he’s looking for; Anna says, Scotty does understand people’s lives are at stake; Martin asks, what was so important Nina needed to see him the moment he landed; and Victor has complete faith that Obrecht can do just that.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

In Dolores’s interview, she says, Paulie is recovering well, but has a different idea of what a nurse should be, since he wants her to dress up in a hot nurse outfit. She tells him about her conversation with Frank at the luau, and how he took it personally that she didn’t stay at his house. Paul says, Frank needs to grow up. He and Dolores had a good relationship, but now it’s gone. In her interview, Dolores says, Paulie has a good relationship with his ex-wife, but she and Frank are closer. Paulie wonders if Frank realizes he made a mistake, but in her interview, Dolores says, Frank realized he made a mistake before he walked out the door. It’s about change, not a personal attachment. She tells Paulie that she’s having lunch with Jennifer, and we flash back to their whatever-it-is, and in Dolores’s interview, she says, it’s like being in a hamster wheel. She feels like enough time has passed, and they can have a real conversation. She tells Paulie that Jennifer needs to stay in her lane, and he says, meet Paterson Dolores. I’ve never been to Paterson, so I’m not sure exactly what that means. I assume it’s a tough, earrings off town.

I think Rachel should escape this show, and possibly New Jersey, immediately. In her interview, she says she’s a perfectionist. She comes from a corporate background, while her husband comes from the streets; that’s why she’s handling buying the school supplies. Why? Would he just give the kid a stick and a rock? She tells John that she wants another baby, but stepson Jaiden isn’t crazy about the idea. In Rachel’s interview, she says, Jaiden is going off to college in a few years, and it’s scary. She reminds John about wanting to adopt Jaiden, and he says, there’s a process they have to go through. Jaiden’s biological mother would still have to sign off, even though he has full custody, and he doesn’t feel like dealing with her. In her interview, Rachel says, her few interactions with Jaiden’s mother were uncomfortable since Rachel is parenting her child. To have to tell somebody’s birth mother about their kid’s life is sad. She knows the best thing is for his birth mother not to be in Jaiden’s life, and she wants to protect Jaiden and their family, so she feels like she’s earned the title. John suggests they sit with an attorney.

Dolores meets Jennifer, and it’s all how are you and you look cute. In Jennifer’s interview, she says she thought they were good friends, but didn’t receive their recent interactions that way. Fighting got her nowhere, so she can find another way forward or not be friends with Dolores. Dolores says, Paulie likes Jennifer, and felt bad when they were fighting, and Jennifer says, what broke the camel’s back last year, and made it hard, was Dolores becoming close with Marge. She felt like Dolores wasn’t defending her, and joining their ship. Little things bothered her. I double check, and Jennifer is 45; a little old for high school. Dolores tells Jennifer that she should have said something, and in her interview, Jennifer says she let her anger get the best of her, but she doesn’t want to keep fighting. Dolores suggests they call a truce, and promises to watch how she speaks to Jennifer in the future. In her interview, Dolores says, if Jennifer had told her instead of just getting angry, she would have curbed herself. Jennifer talks about raising the kids, and how Bill thinks therapy is unnecessary. She says, even when he’s home, he’s not home. When he does have free time, he’s still not choosing to spend it with the family. Dolores says, she and Frank weren’t married when she raised the kids, and lived separately, so it wasn’t an issue. In her interview, Dolores says she remembers hitting the breaking point. She was tired of catering to Frank, when he thought his job was more important than hers. Jennifer says she avoided Marge at the luau, and Dolores says, the fighting is getting bad amongst all of us. Jennifer says she knows a woman who reads Turkish coffee cups, and she was thinking of getting the girls together for a reading. She wants to invite everyone, but doesn’t want Marge at her house. Dolores suggests doing it at her house, since it’s neutral territory.

Melissa and Antonia go to the new house, where Joe #2 is working. In Melissa’s interview, she says she feels like she’s finally seeing what the house will look like. She’s sick of living in Disney princess houses, and she’s ready for something more sophisticated and classy… like her personality. She laughs. She suggests Joe send the molding back to 1999, where it belongs, but he tells her to let the builder build, and stick to fashion. She says she’s doing a pop-up at Envy for Danielle’s children’s line. She sees herself in Danielle, having little kids and wanting to get into business. If she can help, she wants to.

Danielle calls Teresa, who’s sick. Teresa says, her immune system is low from dealing with Melissa, and Danielle asks ,what happened at the luau after she left? Teresa says, it was terrible. Louie wanted Melissa’s mother’s phone number so he could invite her to the wedding, and Melissa refused to talk to him. I don’t think it went quite that way, but moving on. Teresa tells Danielle that Joe said she was miserable, and she said, he and Melissa were miserable, then Joe and Melissa left. Louie went out to talk to them, and came back crying. Louie always comes back crying. He and James Kennedy could have a cry-off. And I’m by no means making fun of anyone having feelings, but these two are drama kings. We see a clip of Louie bawling and saying, he feels Joe and Melissa’s pain, and it sucks. Teresa says she feels bad for Louie.

At the house, Melissa tells Joe that Marge said, Louie was sobbing after they left. Joe says, Louie only needs to fix one person – himself. He’s two-faced with that kumbaya stuff; it’s fake. Then it came out in the press that Teresa had a falling out with Dina. We see a headline about Dina’s husband having beef with Louie over business, and in his interview, Joe says, Dina’s husband David called him because they’re friends. It was Pizzagate, part two. Louie f***ed up another relationship in Teresa’s life. He tells Melissa, Louie says he wants everyone to be nice, but he needs to be real. He comes in like he’s God.

Theresa tells Danielle, that’s the only family she has, and they’re being mean to Louie. Louie needs to draw a line in the sand. Danielle says, Teresa has a built-in excuse not to go to the coffee reading, so she’ll bring Teresa’s feelings along with her own, and unleash for both of them. She tells Teresa, Rachel told Marge what she’d said, but she was only talking about what she heard other people say. Why was she the bad guy? Rachel was just as catty. It became her against Marge and Rachel. In Danielle’s interview, she says, she was bullied in high school because she was an athlete and hung out with the guys. The girls bullied her, and she has a lot of trauma from not being accepted (she’s 37, BTW). She tells Teresa that Rachel caused this and messed her up. Then the women were gossiping about her and her brother, saying there must be another side to the story. She doesn’t like to leave a situation, so it’s been bothering her. In her interview, she says she’s worked hard not to let people affect her, and she’s pissed that she let it. She’s not letting them get away with it. Teresa says, they’re all showing their true colors. I dunno. Is it me? Teresa whines that Joe is her only family, yet she continually bashes Joe and Melissa, and excludes them. Danielle decides to repeat something negative that may or may not be true about Marge, then gets pissed because it’s repeated to Marge. Is this Bizarro New Jersey?

Dolores tells the caterers, if things start going crazy, pretend it’s not happening, which is probably the best advice I’ve ever heard on this show. In Jennifer’s interview, she says, Angie saw N in her coffee reading, and Bill’s real name is Nebil. What better way to bring the women together than telling their futures? Jen walks into Dolores’s house, and in her interview, she says she’s trying not be jealous, but it’s Fifty Shades of Grey, and she’s desperate to find the red room. In Melissa’s interview, she says, Dolores is doing something right. Frank built her a house. David built her a house. Now she’s sitting pretty in this house. If they were playing Monopoly, Dolores would be winning. Melissa asks why Dolores and Jennifer are throwing a party together, and Dolores says she suggested a truce, and Jennifer wanted to have a party, but didn’t think everyone would come to her house. Yeah. That’s believable. In Marge’s interview, she says, she knows Dolores doesn’t want any negativity, but does she really like Jennifer? Does anybody really like Jennifer? They talk about Danielle leaving the luau, and in Jennifer’s interview, she says, if someone is in pain, she’s not going to play Inspector Gadget. My mind boggles. Maybe she has short term memory loss. Jennifer says she never would have wondered what Danielle did to deserve it, and Marge says, nobody thought that. Danielle shouldn’t have said she had an arsenal. Jennifer says, she just repeated stuff she’d heard, and Marge says, don’t be seeding this around. Danielle arrives, and in her interview, she says she’s happy to be here. She actually lost sleep over leaving the luau. It’s her vindication day. Dolores tells everyone that Teresa has covid and won’t be attending, but while she was meditating on her wedding, she pictured Dolores and Jennifer being in the wedding party. We see a clip of Teresa asking them to be bridesmaids. Marge drops that Dina is out, and Melissa says, Dolores wasn’t even invited to the engagement party. Again my mind boggles, wondering who is really the most awful in reality TV when there are so many candidates.

In Dolores’s interview, a producer asks if she thinks she wasn’t invited to the engagement party because Dina was, but Dolores says she’s not talking about Dina – ever. (She later changed her mind, saying on Watch What Happens Live, that were no problems between her and Dina, and they just grew apart.) In Melissa’s interview, she says, Dina’s husband and Louie argued over business, and now Dina isn’t Teresa’s friend or bridesmaid. The meditation moment is convenient. They sit to eat, and Danielle is seated next to Marge. In her interview, Danielle says, she’s uncomfortable right now, but they were seating themselves, and she’s not glued to the chair. She tells Marge, it’s awkward, and Marge says, Danielle stormed out of the luau. In Danielle’s interview, she says, Marge is lucky she needs energy before she rips heads off. Geez. Maybe she was ostracized in school for some other reason. Dolores says she thinks they’ve all been under stress, and they haven’t been away in a long time as a group. She went to Ireland with Paulie for Valentine’s Day, and came back a different person. She’d like for them all to go. In Dolores’s interview, she says, since she’s going to be a bridesmaid, she wants to plan a trip for Teresa, and put the other stuff behind them. They should do something different to bring different energy into the group. She tells them, it’s also the bachelorette party capital, and I’m pretty sure that’s Las Vegas and she’s making that up. Cup reader Angie arrives, and in Jen’s interview, she says she’s been to psychics, but they’re not often looking into a cup of Nescafe. Angie says, Dolores’s reading is short and sweet; a ring is coming soon. In Melissa’s interview, she says she thinks marrying Paulie would make Dolores happy, but Frank would be sad. Paulie isn’t going to suggest going on playdates. Angie tells Rachel that she’ll have a big victory in the next three months or three years. Something significant is going to happen. Rachel says she wants to adopt her stepson, and Angie says, she’ll win at the end. In Marge’s interview, she says, that’s the way she feels about her kids. They needed her because their mom didn’t live here. She needed a family to love, and someone to love her. Angie tells Marge that she’s sees something about a close friend Marge grew up with. She’s seeing the letter L, and seeing a knife in Marge’s back. In her interview, Marge says, how convenient, when Jennifer has been talking non-stop about Laura. Angie says, they went from friendship to fighting, and in Jen’s interview, she says she’s gullible, but not that gullible.

Angie says, the friendship is going to be rekindled, but Marge says, never. In Jackie’s interview, she says she knows she’s cynical, but come on. Jennifer is next, and asks Angie if there’s anything about her life with her husband. He’s been putting a lot of pressure on her, and she’s struggling. Angie says, he loves her a lot, and she sees Jennifer is all about family. She sees people offering Jennifer endorsements, and we flash back to Jennifer at Jen’s house, saying she was more in demand than Marge, and Marge asking what endorsements she had. Jennifer then tells Marge that she turned them down because her family is her endorsement. In Marge’s interview, she says she’s never seen such a set-up in her life. In Melissa’s interview, she says she’s embarrassed for Jennifer. Angie says, when Jennifer’s youngest is older, the endorsements will start coming her way, and in her interview, Marge says, no one’s endorsing Jennifer. Maybe Charmin, since she has 16 bathrooms and is full of sh*t. Jackie says, that felt obvious, but Jennifer insists she barely knows Angie. In Jennifer’s interview, she says, it’s ridiculous. They’re just mad that somebody is saying she’ll have good vibes in the future. Angie says, not everyone believes, and that’s fine, which annoys me. She says, in Danielle’s cup, she sees a conflict between Danielle and her brother. She sees him in a wedding, but doesn’t see her. This hurt Danielle, and they both cry about it, but there will come a day his anger goes away. It gets better, and they make a connection. Danielle says she didn’t like everybody questioning her about this, like she must have done something, but Rachel says, that wasn’t it at all. Jackie says, they just felt there was something missing in the story, and Jen says, she didn’t understand it. Danielle says she doesn’t get it herself, and it should be done. Period. In Melissa’s interview, she says, it’s enough. Leave her alone. Danielle says she doesn’t like to walk away from situations, but she felt blindsided, especially after Rachel made it sound like she was sabotaging Marge. Rachel says, that’s not what she was doing, but Danielle says, Rachel threw her under the bus. In her interview, Marge says she was upset at Danielle repeating negative things, when she’d never been anything but good to her. Rachel says she doesn’t care, and Danielle says she does, nearly launching herself over the table. Everyone is like, whoa, and Rachel says, just because she repeated it, doesn’t mean she was using it against Danielle. In Rachel’s interview, she says, she didn’t take anything out of context, and she wanted Marge to know what was being said. Danielle says she learned she can’t talk to Rachel that way, and in her interview, she says, guilty, insecure bitches aren’t capable of apologizing. If you want to be on your high horse, go ahead. I hope you fall off. Dolores says, I love you all but… get out.  

Next time, Danielle calls Rachel a rat; look out Ireland; Danielle asks Jennifer what Laura told her that she won’t repeat; and Jennifer says it’s about someone they all know.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

In Jacksonville, Carly and Drew walk on the beach, Drew carrying the urn with Virginia’s ashes. He says, it’s so beautiful. There’s no rush. She can take as much time as she wants. They can come back tomorrow if she wants. She says, that’s okay; she’s ready.

Robert goes into the boathouse and says, oh my God. Holly is there wrapped in a blanket, and says, hello, Robert. He says, Holly? (like she might be someone else) and she says, it’s me. He kneels down and asks if it’s really her. She says, don’t tell her she looks so awful, he didn’t recognize her (like she doesn’t look like she did 20 years ago), and he says, it’s really her. She’s the most beautiful sight in the world. He hugs her.

Sasha tells Maxie, no one matching Lucy’s description was brought into the ER. Maxie asks if it’s a good thing, or a bad thing, and Sasha says she doesn’t know. On one hand, it could mean she isn’t hurt… Maxie says, but where is she? She’s been worrying non-stop since she got that call from the police. Sasha wonders why the police would be looking for Lucy. Maxie says, Dante was being intentionally vague, giving her that whole, I can’t discuss an ongoing investigation thing. He just wanted to know if she’d heard from Lucy. Austin joins them, and says he got Maxie’s weird text; what’s going on? Maxie says, Lucy’s missing.

Chase meets Brook at the Quartermaines, and asks if everything is okay; he saw the patrol car out front. She says, they found a woman in the boathouse, and he says, that doesn’t sound creepy at all. She says, they were hoping it was Lucy, since no one’s heard from her since yesterday, but Michael and Willow were just here, and apparently, it’s Robert Scorpio’s dead wife. Just another day at the Quartermaine’s.

Holly says she’s missed Robert too. Why does he look like he’s seen a ghost? He says, they all thought she was dead, and she asks why anyone would think that. He asks where she’s been for the last two years.

Victor’s attorney, Roz, says, this is so typical of Anna Devane. Everybody knows she’s made it her life’s work to send Victor to prison. Victor says he’s counting on that.

Jordan, Anna, and Martin look at the drone footage, and Jordan says, there’s Lucy. She turns, reacts, then she’s shot. Martin says, by Anna, but Anna says, she wasn’t there. Martin says, that screen says otherwise, and we see the shooter’s face. It’s Anna’s face, and she says, there’s an obvious explanation, but Martin says, she’s a murderer. She says, no. She’s being set up.

Holly tells Robert, she doesn’t know; everything is mixed up. She was on a boat… she thinks. He says he’d like to have her checked out for a concussion, but she says she’s fine. He says he’d like a doctor to tell him that. Shall we? On the side, Olivia asks how Holly got into their boathouse, but Ned says, her guess is as good as his. Dante comes in, and says, the ambulance is on the way. Holly says, ambulance? and Robert says, hospital, medical people, stuff like that. She says she just needs dry clothes and a shower, and he says, and a guy with an MD after his name. This is not negotiable. She says, still as stubborn as ever, and he says, look who’s talking. Dante introduces himself, and asks if she knows how she got to Port Charles. Olivia says, her last known location was Monte Carlo, and Holly says, she has no idea. Robert says, GH, now. She says, fine, but no ambulance. Where’s his car? He asks if she’d like to drive, and she says, is he kidding? They drive insane in this country. (Agreed.)

Austin says, if Lucy’s brought in, he’ll let Maxie know as soon as possible, and Sasha says she can’t stand to lose anyone else. Maxie tells her, it’s too soon to be thinking like that. Do they know anyone who’s tougher or more resilient than Lucy? Sasha says, no, and Maxie says, she’s a survivor. They have to think about that, and think positive. Mason comes along, and Maxie says she didn’t know he was still in town. She introduces Sasha, and Austin suggests they head home. He’ll give them a call if there’s any change. Sasha says, the thought of going back to her apartment is… and Maxie asks, when was the last time she ate? Sasha says she’s not hungry, but Maxie says, that’s not going to work for her, and steers Sasha toward the cafeteria. Austin says, Mason can’t be here, and Mason says, Austin keeps saying that like it’s his choice. They both know it’s not up to either one of them.

Anna says she didn’t shoot Lucy, and Martin says, they just watched her do it. She says, it’s not her. Jordan joins them, and says, the woman found at the Quartermaine boathouse wasn’t Lucy. Martin says, if Lucy is gone, it’s because Anna killed her, and Jordan tells him to keep his voice down. He asks why he should, and she says, he’s a lawyer. Of all people, he should know video footage can be altered. Anna says, it’s fake, and he says, of course (🍷) she would say that. Jordan asks if he really thinks Anna would shoot Lucy at point blank range, and Anna adds, and stand here and watch a video of it? Martin says, Anna is a lot more complicated, and maybe cold-blooded than she gets credit for, and why not? She’s a trained WSB operative, and he’s sure wrongfully accused is the first song they teach you in spy school. Anna says she knows he’s upset; she is too, but he needs to take a breath. She would never do anything to hurt Lucy. He says, don’t tell him to calm down. The last time he saw Lucy, she was storming off to confront Anna. Now Anna’s here and she’s not. So what happened on that pier? Lucy wouldn’t give Anna what she wanted? She threatened to turn things around, so Anna got rid of her. Anna says, this is all Victor, and Jordan says, wait here. She heads for the interrogation room, Anna on her heels. Roz says, finally, and Anna moves past Jordan, asking Victor, where is she?

Carly and Drew walk on the beach, as the cameraman perfects his crane shots. They get to a cliff, and Carly says, this is it.

Olivia tells Ned, Holly is a gutsy lady, but she could tell Holly was scared. Couldn’t he? He says, not remembering things that happened to you is scary, and she says she hopes Holly is all right. Did he see the look on Robert’s face when he saw her? Ned tells her, go to the hospital. Robert’s her friend, and could obviously use some support right now. Holly’s reappearance is a lot to wrap your head around. Besides, he can tell she’s dying of curiosity. She kisses him, they exchange I love yous, and she jets.

Mason says, he and Austin both answer to a higher power, and Austin says, God? Mason says, as far as they’re concerned, it might as well be. Face it, family’s forever, especially theirs. Robert wheels Holly out of the elevator, and she says, for the last time, she doesn’t need a wheelchair, and he says, for the last time, he wants a doctor to tell him that. And he thinks they found one. He wheels her over to Austin, who asks if he can help them. Robert says, this woman was found wandering on the Quartermaine grounds, but Holly says, she’s not this woman and she wasn’t wandering. Robert asks what she was doing there, and she says she doesn’t know. He says, memory issues. He’s concerned there might be a bit of damage there. She says she doesn’t want to be examined; she’s scared. Robert says he’s going to be with her every step of the way, and if there’s something wrong or there’s a problem, better that it happens here. She agrees, and introduces herself to Austin.

Carly says, this is her mother’s favorite spot. She would sit and watch Carly down below, catching hermit crabs. He says he can see it. Little Caroline, running around on the beach, not a care in the world. Scrambling over the rocks with a bucket. Did she ever try to take one of the crabs home as a pet? She says, she would show them to her mom, who would act impressed and amazed, and then they’d put them back because her mom said, this is their home. Then she would joke, and say, maybe one day it would be her home too. He says, now it will, and Carly says, it feels right. Laying her mother to rest at the ocean. There’s nowhere she’d rather be.

Chase wonders where Holly came from, and asks Brook if the Coast Guard found a boat nearby, but Brook doesn’t know. She brings him inside, and asks where he was this morning. He says he had an engagement with his niece, and she says, aka a tea party. She hopes Violet realizes she was having tea with a rock star. He says, let’s not go overboard, but she says, it’s not an exaggeration. Has he been following his social media accounts? He says, not really. Does that mean his set at The Savoy went well? She says, it didn’t go well; the people loved it. The video she posted has over 100,000 views already. This is huge. He’s going to be the next big thing.

Victor asks, what’s happened? Don’t tell him they found Lucy’s body. Anna says, so he killed her, and Roz tells Anna to watch her tone with her client. Jordan says, there’s no sign of Lucy’s body in the harbor. Tell them where she is. He says he doesn’t know, and Anna says, he’s lying. Jordan says, they watched the footage, and Anna says, his little show. He arranged for a drone to fly over the docks… Victor says, Anna’s become completely unhinged. Will someone tell him what’s going on here? Jordan says, they have a video of what appears to be a woman firing two shots at Lucy Coe, and Victor pretends to be mortified. He says he was clinging on to some hope that she was alive, and Anna flies around the table, but Roz blocks her from getting to Victor.

Maxie asks how Sasha is doing, and Sasha says, some days she feels like it’s going to be okay. Other days, she hangs out at the hospital because she doesn’t want to be home without him. Maxie says she remembers that. One of the worst parts of grief is that it’s not a straight line. It ebbs and flows, and she just wanted an end date. It’s unfortunate it doesn’t work like that. She’s here if Sasha wants to talk. Mason comes by, and says he was hoping to chat with Maxie before he leaves. He needs a favor.

Chase says, so Holly has zero memory of what happened, and Ned says, she doesn’t even know how she got to the US. Brook calls Chase over to show him the comments from his latest performance. That voice, those yes. I’m officially dead. Where can I get this song? Never mind the song, where can I get him? Chase says, that’s embarrassing, but Brook says, it’s incredible. They have to release the single by the end of the week, and an entire album by the end of the month. They have to give these people something to buy. Don’t worry; he’ll still be able to perform live. She misses that feeling of being in the spotlight, in front of hundreds of thousands of people. Her phone rings, and she says, it’s the studio calling about the session she booked. She steps out to the patio, and Chase tells Ned, Brook’s really in her element. Ned says, Brook’s having the time of her life. How about Chase?

Olivia gets to the hospital, and asks Robert how Holly is. He says, Austin is in with her now, and she asks how he’s doing, when Austin tells Robert he can come in. Robert says, well? and Austin says he thinks she’s great; no double vision, no headaches. No case of hypothermia. Holly says, this blanket is doing the trick, and Robert asks when she’s going to be admitted. Holly says she’s not, but Robert says he wasn’t asking her. Austin says, how about if he orders an MRI, and when he gets the results, they can discuss. Does that sound fair? Holly says it does, and Austin leaves. Robert sits down, and asks if anything has come back to her, but she says, not yet. He asks, what’s the last thing she remembers? and she says, it’s all so foggy. She was working for the WSB, and investigating a casino in Monaco. He says, Monte Carlo. He and Ethan turned the place upside down looking for her. She asks how Ethan is, and Robert says, last he heard, Ethan was pretty good, but he’ll be better once he knows his mother’s alive. She says she wants to hear his voice, but she has no way of reaching him. He gives her his phone, and says, it’s on him. He has to talk to Olivia about something. He leaves, and Holly looks at the phone.

Anna is hustled out of the interrogation room, and Jordan says, she needs to pull it together unless she wants to be arrested for assault. Anna says she just couldn’t stand looking at his smug face for one more second, and Jordan says, Anna is a professional; she knows better. Cool down. Anna tries to follow Jordan back in, but Jordan says, uh-uh. After that little display, Anna is out of this. Jordan goes in, and Roz says she wants Anna arrested. Jordan says, for? and Roz asks if Jordan didn’t see what Anna just did to her client, but Victor says, now is not the time. A woman is missing, possibly dead. Roz says, the shooter is female? and Jordan says, it looked that way, but they still have to analyze the footage. Victor says he assumes her tech experts are working on that. Lucy’s attacker has to be identified. In the squad room, Anna leaves a message for Robert to call her back as soon as he gets this. Victor has made his move. He’s trying to frame her for Lucy’s murder. Anna picks up the laptop to look closer, but Martin runs in with ADA Arden, and says, that’s tampering with evidence. Arden asks if this is the surveillance footage, and Martin tells her, watch it. Then have this woman arrested for murder.

Carly tells Drew, she hates that she lost fight to save the cemetery, but thinks Virginia would love being part of the ocean she loved so much. He says, two things can be true at the same time, and she says she’s beginning to see that. He says, life is quite the ride, and she says she hates that her mother’s life was cut short. She didn’t have the opportunity to say so many things she wanted to say. He tells her, it’s not too late to say them now. Go ahead. She takes the urn, and walks away from him. She says, Virginia, you were a good mom; you were a great mom. I’m so sorry I didn’t always make you feel that way. I wish I could say this to your face. I wish you could know my kids. I wish you could be a part of our lives, but we can’t go back, no matter how bad we want to. I hope you’ve been at peace, and I hope you continue to be. I love you, mom. She walks to the edge of the cliff, and pours out the ashes. The wind takes them out to the ocean.

Anna tells Martin, so he’s alleging she followed Lucy to a public pier, and shot her in full view of anyone who might come by. He just said she went to spy school. So surely she’d have had a more clandestine method to eliminate someone at her disposal. She basically put herself out there to get caught. Does he see that this doesn’t make any sense? He says he sees the woman who blackmailed him. The same woman who, when he refused to spy for her, threatened to destroy his life. She uses people any way she has to, to even the score in her petty grudges. With people like her and Victor, that gets dangerous real fast. He watched his own brother do it for years. When the stakes get too high, when something goes wrong, someone like Lucy gets in the way, she’s got to get rid of the problem permanently. Jordan comes out, and asks Arden, what’s going on? Arden says, nice of her to join them, and Jordan says she was questioning a suspect. Arden says, she can tell Victor that he’s free to go.  

Olivia asks how long Austin said the MRI would take, and Robert says, he didn’t. She says, he didn’t answer her question from before. How is he holding up? He says, she means with his deceased ex-wife turning up alive and well? It’s overwhelming, in a nice, warm, fuzzy way. She says, it’s a miracle. Now he gets the chance to say all the things he didn’t think he’d have a chance to say.

Dante tells Austin, he was wondering if he could get an update on Holly, and Austin asks if Dante is family. Dante says, no, and Austin says, then Dante knows he can’t tell him anything. Dante says, it’s for the investigation. He doesn’t need details. Are they going to be admitting Holly? Austin says he’s recommending she stay for observation, but you can’t make a patient stay against their will. Dante says, what about that memory loss thing? and Austin say, so much for no details. There doesn’t seem to be any physical reason for Holly’s memory loss.

Chase tells Ned, singing at The Savoy was great; connecting with the audience, getting lost in the music. Ned says he’s sensing a but, and Chase says, he spent the whole time waiting for it to be over. He enjoys singing… Ned says, but it’s not his passion, and Chase says, he enjoys making people happy, and who doesn’t love a crowd cheering for them? But at the end of the day, it’s not making a real difference. Ned says, like he would be if he were on the force, and Chase says, exactly. He wants nothing more than to be a part of that investigation, and find out who’s going around attacking people with a hook. He wants to take that killer off the streets. Ned asks if Brook knows about this, and Chase says, managing him means so much to her, and he can’t be a cop right now, which is entirely on him. He lost his cool, he punched Linc, and now he’s paying the price. Ned thanks him for defending his daughter’s honor, but Chase says, no thanks needed. He regrets the outcome, but he can’t say he wouldn’t do it again, which is why the suspension is totally merited, but it doesn’t make him miss being a cop any less. It’s pointless focusing on something he can’t have. He needs to focus on something he can control… for Brook’s sake.

Brook finishes talking to the studio, and sees an email from Dante. The subject says: Letter of support to get Chase reinstated. She deletes it, and the phone rings. She says, hello, Linc. What can I do for you?

Maxie says she’ll be glad to help Mason if she can. What does he need? He asks if she can talk some sense into Austin, and convince him to come home to Pautuck for Thanksgiving. They miss him something fierce. Austin walks up behind him, and Maxie says she didn’t mean to take Austin away from his family, but Austin says, she’s not taking him away from anything. He’s right where he wants to be. Maxie would be welcome too, of course (🍷), and her kids; Georgie, James, and Bailey, right? She says, that’s impressive, and Austin asks if Mason didn’t say he had to be on the road. Mason says, always looking out, and tells Maxie, think about Turkey Day. Austin says he’ll walk Mason out, and Mason says, gobble-gobble, as they leave. Sasha says, he’s an interesting guy, and Maxie says, yeah…  Are they cannibals??? I’m intrigued.

Victor thanks Arden for her interest in this case, and Arden says, as soon as she was made aware, she knew it required her attention. Anna tells Jordan, she’s got to get out of here. If Victor set her up – which she believes he has – he’s not going to stop with the drone footage. There’s going to be other false evidence out there against her. Jordan says, go, and Anna moves to the door, but Martin says, no. There’s no way Anna is walking out of here. Jordan says, Agent Devane isn’t under arrest. But don’t leave town. Anna says, understood, and leaves. Martin says, isn’t that sweet? Does Jordan give all her friends preferential treatment, or only the guilty ones? Victor says he’s not following. Does Martin think Anna did something to Lucy? Martin says he knows she did. You can see it plain as day on that video. Victor says, the Commissioner failed to mention that, and Arden says, since Jordan’s judgement is clearly compromised by her relationship with Anna, it’s her opinion Jordan be removed from the case.

Drew asks if Carly is okay, and she says she’s feeling so many things; mostly free. When she thinks about that emergency landing in Jacksonville, she was so frustrated. She just wanted to get where she was going, and that’s exactly what happened. Her mother needed her to be there, and she needed to be here for her mother. He says, divine intervention, and she laughs. She says, it gave her closure with Virginia, and reminded her of who she is, and what’s important to her. Her family and her friends… He says, hermit crabs, and she says, hermit crabs, and him. She’s been focused on everything she’s lost in these past couple years, and it’s been a lot, but she’s also gained something. He asks, what’s that? and she says, him. He dropped everything to help her. He slept on a really  bad couch. He says, the couch was not so bad, and she thanks him for helping her. It meant so much to her. He says, it meant as much to him. Watching her face her past made him take a good look at his own life. She says, what did he see?

Holly is wheeled back to the exam room, and Olivia and Robert join her. Robert asks, how’s the head? and Holly says, still attached. He suggests she give Ethan a call; maybe he’ll pick up now. Olivia says, not exactly the kind of message you can leave in a voicemail, and Holly says, sorry, she is? Olivia apologizes, and introduces herself, saying, she was at the boathouse earlier. She brought Holly some clothes for later. Holly says, that’s really thoughtful, and Olivia says, of course (🍷). It’s so wonderful to finally meet Holly. Although Olivia feels like she already knows her. She was in Monte Carlo with Robert and Ethan when they were looking for Holly. Holly should have seen what Robert went through to find her. She’ll let Robert tell her, but it was really something else. Holly says, he did all that for her? and he says he doesn’t know why she’s so surprised. He’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Brook comes in and tells Chase, they did it. They got him. She just knew this would work. He says, feel free to fill him in anytime, and she says, Linc called. He took the bait.

Austin tells Mason, do not involve Maxie in this, but Mason says, he’s not; Austin is. Because he deluded himself into thinking he can keep Pautuck separate from his life here. He can’t. In all honesty, Maxie and her kids would do better to stay as far away from Austin as possible.

Jordan says she’s following the evidence without making assumptions. Arden saw the video. Can she say, without question, that the shooter is Anna Devane? Arden says, without question? No. Jordan says, she’s sending the video to IT. They’ll do their best to see if it’s been altered in any way. Victor thinks it might be worth mentioning that whenever he was with Lucy and Anna’s name came up, Lucy was visibly uncomfortable. Martin agrees, and Victor says, he didn’t think anything of it at the time, but now he’s wondering if Lucy might have been afraid of Anna. Roz tells Jordan to add that to the evidence she’s following, even though it’s hearsay. Jordan asks if Victor is willing to make an official statement, and he says he supposes so. Arden asks if this means Jordan’s changed her mind, and Jordan says, if the shooter in the video proves to be Anna, she’ll reassess. Martin says he can’t listen to any more of this, and walks away. Jordan says, until then, nothing links Anna to Lucy’s presumed death

Anna puts on gloves, and opens her car. She wonders where evidence would be planted. She feels around the seats, and looks in the glove compartment.

Drew tells Carly, the life he came back to a year ago, wasn’t the one he left, and it took him a while to see it, but there’s beauty in that. She says, in new beginnings. He says, a new beginning for both of them, and she says, new beginnings can be scary. He says, they can, but they also can be exciting and hopeful, and full of possibility, and she says she likes the sound of that. He says, so does he. He smooths her hair back from her face, and asks, is this okay? She says, yes, and he doesn’t have to ask ever again. He kisses her, and we get a spinning crane shot like the one at the end of The Beastmaster when Dar kisses Kiri.

Sasha sees Martin at the hospital, and says she didn’t realize he was back in town. Has he heard from Lucy? He says, nothing, but he’s not giving up until they find her. He was actually here to check the ER. He knows it’s futile… She says, but better than sitting around waiting. He asks how she’s holding up, and she says she’s taking it day by day. It’s hard to think beyond that. He says he heard from the judge, and has an update on her future.

Brook tells Chase, right after she got off the phone with the studio, Linc called. He said he wants Chase to do a duet with one of his rising stars. Brook’s actually heard of her; she has a pretty big following. She thinks she has the perfect song for them to sing together. It will be huge boost for Chase’s career. He says, and one step closer to exposing Linc for the predator he is, and she says, that too. He says, this is really happening, and they hug.

Holly says she’d like to change into these clothes, but Robert says, she won’t be needing them, because she’s staying. Holly says, she’s not, and Olivia wisely says she’ll leave it between the two of them, and gets the hell out of there. Holly tells Robert, Austin said she’s fine, but he says, Austin never said anything remotely like that. She says, she will be once she’s had a long bath and a decent meal, neither of which she’ll get here. He says, he’s not going to win this one, is he? and she says, when does he ever win with her? She assumes the MetroCourt is still around, and he says, it is. She says, perfect. She’ll need a full English breakfast, and some tea, preferably with whiskey in it.

Arden says she’s sorry the police wasted Victor’s valuable time, but Victor says, all that matters is justice for Lucy. As the Commissioner said, just follow the evidence.

Anna looks in her amazingly neat trunk, taking out the few things in it. She lifts the bottom, where there are blankets stored underneath. Underneath the blankets, she finds a gun.

On Monday, Sasha says, the Judge made a decision on her guardianship: Mac says. Lucy may have been the victim, but is Anna the real target; and Anna tells Dante that there’s something he needs to know.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly puts flowers on Virginia Benson’s grave, and says, it’s been so long since she’s been here; too long. She meant to come by many times, but something always came up. Excuses, excuses, right? It seems so fitting that after everything she’s been through, she would end up here in Jacksonville with her mother.

Jordan says she doesn’t even know how to respond to this, and Curtis says, the truth would be a great start. She asks if he thinks she’d sabotage his happiness and his upcoming wedding like that? and he says, if she still had feelings for him, maybe. She says, of course (🍷) she still has feelings. They just don’t up and disappear. He’s moved on with his life, and he and his fiancé are sharing a new home now, so… He says he’s still not hearing an answer; yes or no?

Elizabeth says she’s scared, and Doc says he understands. It’s all right. He’s here with her. She was talking about the staircase. Is the woman still at the bottom? She says, yes. Elizabeth was so angry with her, telling her to stay away from her father. Now she’s not moving. Elizabeth gasps, and Doc asks what she sees.

Gregory says he knows Finn’s thoughts are with Elizabeth, and Alexis says, she’s in really good hands with Doc. Finn says he knows, but Alexis has her own stuff going on. How is Kristina? She says, Kristina’s unsettled, but she’s not hurt, and Brando seems to be out of danger, so she’s grateful. Gregory says, but it won’t stop there, will it? and Alexis says, not if the same person who attacked Brando attacked Ava. Finn says, the real question is, does the public have the right to know a lunatic is out there with a hook, and could very well strike again?

Nina says, Sonny can finally breathe, and he says, Brando is out of surgery; he’s going to be okay. She says, he’s a strong guy; it’s probably in the genes. He says, his dad loved Brando. Who wouldn’t? Brando is amazing, loyal, generous… Gladys joins them, and says, and he’s alive. She’s never been more relieved. She thought she lost him. She thought she lost her boy. Sonny says, Brando is with them right now. He’s where he belongs. He hugs Gladys.

Sasha runs out of Brando’s room, yelling, please help! She tells Brando, it’s okay, and Portia, Deanna, and another nurse run in with a crash cart. Sasha says she thought everything was okay. What’s happening? Portia tells Deanna, get her out of here, and Deanna gently pushes Sasha out the door. She tells Sasha, they need room to work, and Sasha asks, what’s happening? Please save him. Deanna closes the door, and Portia says, check his stats. The other nurse says, his pulse is 30 and dropping, and Portia says some medical stuff, and asks for lorazepam.

Carly says she couldn’t wait to get away. From Virginia, the condo, all the mistakes she made. Get to Port Charles and claim the life she knew was hers. She had it for a while. A husband, family, money, a career. Even that social status she was so fixated on. She had the right car, the right clothes, and the right address. No condo for her. She had an estate on the lake, until it all came crashing down like a house of cards. She’s fine; she’s not destitute or anything. But she’s here, back in this place; like a round trip ticket to where she started.

Jordan says, she signed the papers, put them in an envelope, and left them on her desk, and Curtis says, but they never got them. Jordan flashes back to Stella, saying, she took the papers, but doesn’t know what happened to them, and Jordan and Curtis are still married. Jordan tells Curtis that she never saw them again. They can sign new ones and move forward. It’s what she wants. He says, okay. If she says she doesn’t know what happened to the papers, he believes her. She says, hallelujah, and he says, but he does have another question. If there were no papers, and he hadn’t asked for a divorce, would they still be married? Again, Superman fighting the dinosaurs.

Stella sees TJ in his lab coat, and asks if he’s wearing his dinner attire or is dinner off. He says he meant to text her back; it’s been crazy around here. She asks if everything is all right, and he says, it is now. She knows his friend Brando… She says, of course (🍷), Mike’s cousin, and he says, they almost lost him tonight, but he pulled through. She says, thank goodness, for Brando and his family, but also for TJ. Good friends are hard to come by. He says, so are wonderful aunts.

Alexis says, on one hand, there’s the people’s right to know, and Gregory says, on the other hand, there’s getting involved in a police investigation, and everything that comes with that. Finn says, and here he thought medicine was complicated. He looks at his watch, and Gregory tells him to go meet Elizabeth. We’ve got this. Finn says he’ll check in later and leaves. Alexis asks, who is this we that Gregory is speaking of?

Doc asks if the woman is someone Elizabeth knows, and she says she thinks so. He says, but Elizabeth still can’t see her face, and Elizabeth says, no. He tells her, it’s all right; she’s safe. She’s doing great. Look up at the top of the stairs. Is someone there too? She says, yes; someone’s there. In her mind, she runs up the stairs, and sees Peter lying on the landing. She says, no! and Doc asks who else she sees.

Sonny leaves a voicemail for Carly, saying, the kids are fine. There’s a lot going down right now. Can she call him as soon as she can? A man sitting nearby says, bad news? but Sonny says, no; just the opposite, really good news. The man says, at his age, you have to wonder if there’s a difference, and Sonny laughs.

Portia says, Brando needs another round, and Deanna says, his heart rate’s plummeting. Portia says some more medical stuff, and that he has to be prepped for a dopamine drip. Outside, Sasha is looking through the window, and says, fight for us. Remember what we mean to each other. Everything they’ve been through, good and bad. There’s a song part – Sia’s Breathe Me – and Sasha goes down Brando Memory Lane. She remembers them meeting, Brando saving her after her overdose, a kiss under the mistletoe, their first time having sex in the garage. She flashes back to telling him she’s pregnant, and Brando saying he wants be part their child’s life. She remembers Liam being born, and the end of Liam’s life, telling him, Liam Mike Corbin. You were here for such a short time, but you made quite the impact. She flashes back to Brando saying he loves her, getting married in Niagara Falls, and telling him that he’s her family. He’s all the family she needs. (breathe me)

Portia says, this makes no sense. Brando was trending up after surgery. It’s like his body’s been hit by something else, and it’s wrecking his whole system. Deanna says, they’re losing him, and she says, the hell we are, and tells them to start chest compressions. Brando flatlines, and Portia says, come on, as Sasha watches.

Carly says she’s never going to escape it, is she? It doesn’t matter that she clawed her way to the top in Port Charles. In Jacksonville, she’s always going to be Caroline Benson from the wrong side of town. The tacky little wannabe, trying to pretend she belongs with the kids who go to the country club. She can hear Virginia now; be content with what you have, Caroline. It’s more than what you think. As a kid, she resented that. She took it as though Virginia wanted to hold her back; that Virginia didn’t think she was good enough to want more or better. But she understands now what Virginia meant was, she was wonderful just the way she was. She’s sorry she couldn’t hear it, for Virginia’s sake and hers.

Doc brings Elizabeth out of her hypnotic state, and she says she’s sorry. She can’t do this. She gets up, and he says, it’s all right. Is she sure she doesn’t want to try again? It seemed they were getting somewhere. She says she’s positive, and he says, they’ll pick it up again on Tuesday. She can’t get out fast enough, and closes the door behind her.

Curtis says he’s not accusing Jordan of anything. This is a legit curiosity. If things had been different… She says, yes. As far as she’s concerned, they’d still be together, but she’s not the one who ended their marriage. And it’s not an accusation or condemnation; it’s just a fact. Despite all the things that pulled them apart, she still loved him. He says he loved her too. It’s just… She says, there were things he couldn’t live with, and he says, the lies, the secrets. He knows that goes into marrying a cop, but it was bleeding into their personal life. He just never felt like he was on solid ground with her. She asks if that’s how he feels with Portia; like he’s on solid ground? He asks if she’s saying he’s not.

Gregory hands Alexis some coffee, and says, his treat. She says, big spender, and he says, that’s him. She says, he can spend a lot of money on her when they attend the panel at PCU, and he says he’s so glad she agreed to attend with him. She says, actually, she’s speaking on the panel, and he says, she just forgot to mention it? She says she’s mentioning it now, and he says, of course (🍷) she is. Always in a position of control. She says, look who’s talking. Finn, go take care pf Elizabeth. We got this. We? Who is this we? As in, we work on the paper – her paper – together? He says, she doesn’t value his opinion? and she says, when she asks  for it. All right. She’s asking for it. Don’t gloat. He tells her, stick to the facts. She doesn’t want to frighten her readers, just inform them. Appeal to their reason, not their emotions. She says, that right there is the problem; this is emotional. His son was thisclose to the boathouse where Ava was attacked. Her daughter was in the alley where Brando was hurt, so this is scary. And it’s making people angry. They need to channel those feelings into action. He says, such as? and she says, they write an open letter to whoever is terrorizing the town. They appeal to that person’s sense of vanity. He says, and then what? and she says, they wait for them to write back.

Elizabeth sees Finn, and hugs him. He asks how it went. Learn anything new? She says, she did. That she’s an excellent liar.

Sonny asks if he knows the man. He reminds Sonny of someone. The man says he gets that a lot. He’s George. And he is… Sonny says, his friends call him Sonny. He notices a racing form in George’s hands, and says, George may know his old man. He used to bet on the horses. George says, he just found it in the trash. He’s never been to a racetrack. What was his old man’s name? Sonny says, Mike, and George tells him, what he said before about good news? Don’t mind him. He’s overstayed his welcome, and should have checked out a long time ago. Sonny tells him that he shouldn’t say that. Everybody’s life matters. George asks if Sonny is a priest, and Sonny laughs. George asks, what’s so funny? and Sonny says, he’s not a priest.

Gladys asks if Nina wants to find Sasha, and join the party. Nina says, let’s do it, and they leave.  

Sasha looks at pictures of her and Brando on her phone. She says they wasted so much time together… No, actually she’s wasted it. She closes her eyes, and says, please give her another chance. Stay with her and she promises they’ll have a beautiful life together, making only happy memories. Please. She opens her eyes, and the lights dim for a moment. She says, Brando? and Portia comes out of his room.

Carly says, Virginia will never believe who she ran into; Reese’s mom, Mrs. Roberts. Of course (🍷) she goes by Mrs. Wade Honeycutt now. Carly didn’t recognize her (me neither). She has a different name, and she’s older, but there was something familiar about her. Carly remembers how she used to talk about her. Her car, how a great a tennis player she was, the amazing parties she used to have. She prays she never said the words she’s better than you, but that was the message. She was so wrong. Oh my God. She was so wrong about so many things. She’s so sorry. Sorry she didn’t see how amazing Virginia was. A light shines in Carly’s face, and a man asks what she’s doing here. She says, visiting her mom. Can he get the light out of her face? Who is he, and what is he doing here? He says he’s the night watchman, hired by the developers, and she asks, what developers? He says, she’s not from around here, is she? The land has been repurposed. The city declared eminent domain. Ugh. Don’t get me started on that. She says, they can’t just shut down a cemetery, but he says, it’s already happened. The graves in the north section have already been moved. They’ll move this section soon. She asks, why? and he says, to put in a parkway for better access to the beach. She says, can’t they just go around the cemetery to get to the beach? and he says he guesses not. She says, that’s crazy, and asks if the Jacksonville Beautification Guild is involved in any way. He says, they got the ball rolling, yeah, and she asks what’s going to happen to her mom. He says, Carly will need to move her.  

Jordan says she’s not trying to cause trouble for Curtis and Portia, but can you ever truly know a person to their absolute core? He says, maybe not, but you can sure get damn close. She says, believe it or not, she’s rooting for him. She hopes he gets everything he wants. He says he hopes the same for her.

Finn asks if Elizabeth wants to elaborate on this lying thing, and she says, Doc helped her reconnect with her memory. He says, on the staircase, and she says, not only the one from when she was a teenager, but a more recent one. He says, Peter, and she says, when her mind went there, she shut it down. Obviously, it’s not like she can tell Doc about that. Finn says, it’s his fault, but she says, no. He says he pushed Peter down the stairs, not her. If that’s preventing her from getting the help she needs… She says, he’s missing the point. She thinks the incident with Peter triggered her memory from when she was younger. He says, so she thinks she witnessed who pushed this woman down the stairs, and what happened with Peter brought it all to the surface, and she says, doesn’t he?

Sonny looks at the racing form, and tells George, his dad and Brando understood each other, despite the age difference. Or because of the age difference. That’s life. The longer you live, the more lives you touch. George’s eyes are closed, the lights dim, and he opens them. Sonny says, welcome back, and George asks Sonny, what’s his cousin’s name? Sonny says, Brando, and George says, don’t ask him how he knows, but Sonny is needed, and Sonny jets.

Sasha says, no… no, and Portia says she’s so sorry. Sasha says, no. They don’t get to take both Liam and Brando. They just don’t. Portia says, they did everything… but Sasha says, no. He was fine. He was laughing and talking. Brando wouldn’t leave her. Nina and Gladys arrive, and Gladys asks, what’s going on? Portia tells Gladys that she’s so sorry. There were complications. Her son didn’t make it. Sasha starts to cry, and Nina says, what? Portia says, she was telling Sasha, they did everything they could. Sasha falls to the floor, crying and calling out, Brando! and Nina runs to her. Everyone is crying, and I want to cry. Not that I’m particularly attached to Brando, but poor Sasha.

Sonny gets to Brando’s room, and sees everyone distraught. He says, Brando… and Nina says, she’s so sorry. Gladys tells Portia that she doesn’t understand. His eyes were open. He regained consciousness. Sonny asks, how did this happen? and Portia says, there were unforeseen complications. They might never know what really happened. Sasha says she can’t believe it. She doesn’t want to believe it. Nina says she knows how much Brando meant to Sonny, and wishes there was something she could say or do to help him. Portia goes back to Brando’s room, and Sonny says he wants to see Brando.

Gregory says, Alexis is actually going to invite a killer to write a letter to the editor? She says, it worked for Jack the Ripper, but Gregory says, except they never caught Jack the Ripper. It’s the longest cold case in history. She says, think about it. His ego wouldn’t allow him to remain silent. He was proud of his craft. He boasted about the killings. He taunted the police to the point where he dared them to catch him. He says, and she thinks she’ll have success where Scotland Yard couldn’t, and she says, it’s a different time now. Law enforcement has a lot more tools at their disposal. They’ve got DNA; they’ve got digital footprints. That sort of thing. He says, she’ll either get a Pulitzer or get indicted. He honestly doesn’t know which. She says, but he’s intrigued, and he says he is.

TJ and Stella see Curtis and Jordan, and TJ asks if everything is okay. Curtis says, they were catching up, but at the same time, Jordan says, they were consulting. TJ asks, which was it? and Jordan says, a bit of both. She was picking Curtis’s brain; drawing off those rusty P.I. skills of his. Curtis says, rusty? TJ’s mom is determined to find who tried to kill Brand. Jordan says she will. She looks at Stella, and says, even the darkest secret can’t stay secret forever. Portia runs up to TJ, and says she’s been looking for him. There’s something he needs to know.

Sonny goes into Brando’s room, and Deanna says she’s so sorry about his cousin. He thanks her, and she says, she knows it’s cold comfort, but that doesn’t make it any less true; Brando’s at peace now. He says he’s just worried about the rest of them, and she says she’ll give Sonny some time with him. The nurses leave, and Sonny tells Brando that he left them way too soon. Him, Liam, and Mike, take care of each other, up there, and he’ll take care of Sasha and Brando’s mother, and everybody else. He promises Brando that.

TJ says he should call Molly, and fumbles to find his phone. Curtis says they can take that off his plate, but he says, Molly should hear it from him. It just doesn’t make any sense. Stella says, what doesn’t? and he says, the surgery was successful. The damage to his lung was repaired, and all the bone fragments removed. And the symptoms Portia described weren’t even consistent with sepsis. Jordan asks what he thinks went wrong, but he says he doesn’t know, and leaves.

Elizabeth tells Finn, she could see the woman at the bottom of the stairs. She just couldn’t see who pushed her. He says, there’s no pressure, okay? It’s like a hike or climbing a mountain. You don’t race to the top; you take it one step at a time. She asks what he just said, and he says, mountain climbing. You put one foot in front of the other, and that’s… She says, how you reach the summit. He says, what just happened up there? and Portia runs up. She says she’s so sorry to interrupt, but she needs a consult. It’s very important. Elizabeth says, it’s okay. They can finish this later. There’s something she has to take care of anyway. She leaves.

Carly tells the watchman, she’s sorry, but this is insane. Her mom gets dug up like she’s some kind of potted plant? He says, most of the families have already made arrangements, and she asks why she wasn’t notified. He says, Virginia Benson, and takes out his phone. He says, the records on file have Jason Morgan. They reached out, but never heard back. She says, Jason is no longer with them, but she’s here, and these people aren’t going to get away with this. She strides off…

And walks right into the hotel restaurant, where Peyton is on the phone. She whips the phone out of Peyton’s hand, and Peyton says, what on earth…? Carly says, if Peyton thinks for one second her mother is leaving her resting place, she’s lost her mind.

Elizabeth knocks at Doc’s office door, and walks in. She says she thinks she remembered something.

Finn asks, what’s going on? and Portia says, it’s about Brando Corbin. He asks how Brando is doing, and she says, they lost him. Finn says, what? and she says, she’s hoping he can tell her why, handing him her tablet.  

Sonny comes out, and Deanna tells the others that they can go in now, but Gladys says she doesn’t know if she can. Sonny says, no one’s making either of them. If they want to take their time before they go in, or if they decide they don’t want to go in, that’s fine. Deanna leaves, and Sasha says she’s ready. Will Sonny come with her? He holds out his hand, and I love Sonny at this moment. He takes her in, and Gladys and Nina follow them.  

Peyton says, Carly is invading her personal space, and backing Peyton up while she talks, Carly says, and Peyton is invading the cemetery where her mother is buried, but of course (🍷) she is, because all the good people are buried at Briarcliff. She doesn’t see Peyton trying to dig that place up. Peyton says, Briarcliff is not blocking beach access, and Carly says, Peyton is unbelievable. She’s so bizarrely entitled, she actually thinks it’s her right to trample all over people, anything to get what she wants. Peyton says, I don’t know what to tell you, Caroline, and Carly says, it’s Carly. Peyton says, everything was done according to the bylaws. She’s sorry Carly is upset by this sudden shocking news. Maybe Carly should have come back and seen her mother in the last ten years or so. Do herself a favor, and hop on that flight to Aruba, and never come back. Carly says, screw Aruba. She’s staying right here and fighting for her mother. She dares Peyton to try and stop her.  

Doc says, have a seat and take a breath, but Elizabeth says she’s fine. Doc says, if he’s being candid, she doesn’t seem fine, and she tells him, Finn just said something to her, and it’s like she was struck by lightning. Doc asks what Finn said, and she tells him, Finn mentioned mountain climbing, something she used to hear a lot in Boulder. Doc says, there are a lot of mountains in Colorado, and she says, those exact words were spoken by someone else – her father. What if it was him? What if he pushed the woman down the stairs?

Alexis tells Gregory, maybe this open letter strategy is wrong. Maybe she should just write an article. Let people know the weapon used in both attacks was a hook. He says, letting people in on there being a potential serial killer is a big deal; one with reverberating consequences. She says, but there’s consequences if they sit on information. If Gregory lived in this town where this were happening to people he loved – he says, which he does – wouldn’t he want to be informed so he could be prepared? He says, and if being informed comes at the cost of a police investigation? and she says, maybe it will help the investigation. Isn’t that what they want? Assuming any of this would help. Deanna is walking by with the other nurse, and says, watching Sasha Gilmore walk into that room… she was about to say goodbye to her husband. Alexis and Gregory listen, and the other nurse says, it was just so wrong. Brando Corbin seemed fine, like he was going to be okay. Deanna says, then suddenly he wasn’t. They go into the elevator, and Alexis says she’s running with the article. Does he still object? He says, hell no. They need to nail this bastard before another family has a funeral.

Finn tells Portia that he’s happy to help, but his expertise is in infectious diseases, not forensics. She says, that’s exactly why she came to talk to him. Even the most experienced medical examiner might assume that Brando died as a result of his wound… Or they were led to think so. The symptoms he had at the time of his death… Finn says, the seizures, the coughing up blood, and she says, which came out of nowhere. They don’t track with his injuries. She can’t help but think there might be another, more sinister explanation.

Jordan hugs TJ, and asks if he talked to Molly. He nods, and she says she hates that he’s hurting. Is there anything she can do? He says, what he’s feeling is nothing compared to what Brando’s family is going through. He doesn’t understand how it happened or why it happened, and Stella says, sometimes there’s no reason. The Lord give, and the Lord taketh away. She hugs him, and suggests they pray for his friend, and for all those who loved him. They join hands, Jordan and Curtis exchanging glances before they do, and Stella says, dear Lord… Grant Brando eternal tranquility, and relief from all pain and suffering. We see Sasha bending down to Brando on the bed, and Gladys sitting on the other side; Sonny and Nina standing. Stella says, and relief from pain and suffering. Let light perpetual shine upon him, and may his soul, and all the souls of the departed, rest in peace. Amen. Sasha strokes Brando’s face.

Tomorrow, Brook asks if she’s being fired; Valentin tells Victor, it would be a mistake to provoke Sonny Corinthos; Selina says, it seems things are getting dangerous in Port Charles; and the hook strikes again.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Carly checks at reception to see if the DNA results came back yet, but it’s a no. She wonders how long it takes, when Bobbie comes along and asks what test results she’s waiting for.

Nina comes into The Savoy, and N’neka says, if she’s looking for the boss, he’s not here tonight. Nina takes a seat at the bar, and says, Curtis told her that he was going to look for his father. However, given the challenging day she has tomorrow, Nina was thinking about one of their signature martinis. N’neka says, she’s got it, and Nina says, if she could throw in a little forgetfulness on the side, that would be great. A guy walks past, and says he knows her; the mafia homewrecker. Does that make her the new mob boss lady? She tells him, keep talking. She can have the bouncer here in five seconds. Sonny comes up behind him, and says, hey buddy. You got a problem with the lady? You got a problem with the lady, you got a problem with me.

Epiphany and Portia are in the conference room, and Stella asks, is it okay if a former colleague comes by to say hello? Epiphany tells her, come on in, and Stella says, it’s good to see her. Epiphany says, likewise, and she’s glad to see Stella isn’t suffering any ill effects from her recent panic attack. Stella asks Portia if she should be going to church twice a week to thank God, and Portia says she doesn’t think it’s necessary unless Stella has a thing for the preacher. Epiphany laughs, and Portia says, as far as her panic attack, Stella seems to be back to her old self again. Stella says she’s glad to hear that. She’s sure Curtis told Portia what was going on. Portia says, he told her everything, and Stella says, really? Everything?

TJ says, granddad. How’d Marshall find them here? Marshall says, old man Purdy at the music shop. He told Marshall that he could find them here. Molly says, it’s so good to see him. She and TJ traveled all this way just to find him. Marshall says he sees, and TJ asks if Marshall is sorry they’re here. Did they come all this way for nothing?

At Kelly’s, Gregory tells Violet that she takes after her dad. When he was young, he always had his nose in some book. She says, he’s funny. Everyone knows you can’t drive with your nose. Gregory laughs, and says, she’s so much smarter than he is; the wisdom of youth. She asks, what’s youth? and he says, it’s everything she is, and everything old guys like him would like to be.

Laura lets Finn into the apartment, and he says he promises he won’t stay long. He’s meeting his dad and Violet, but wanted to make sure Elizabeth was okay. Laura says, she’s still up in her room, hopefully sleeping, and he asks if she’s said any more about… Laura says, ghosts? No, not at all. Finn says, good, and Doc walks in. He says he’d assume Elizabeth isn’t any less convinced that Franco’s spirit spoke to her, and Laura says, through that phony medium Chelsea Lamb? Doc says he shares Laura’s doubts, but to Elizabeth, Chelsea is the key to contacting Franco. Finn says he understands grief. He thinks he understands it better than most, but he’s having a hard time understanding why Elizabeth wants to believe Franco’s ghost is trying to communicate with her. Elizabeth is on the stairs, and says, maybe because she trusts the dead more than she trusts the living right now.

Carly says she’s fine, and Bobbie asks why she’s having tests run. Carly says, just as a precaution. If there was something wrong she’d tell Bobbie. She’s not going anywhere. Bobbie says, good, because after she read that article on Nina’s petition for visitation in The Invader, Wiley is going to need Carly more than ever. Carly says she read the first part of the feature this morning, and Bobbie says she thinks it’s a good thing for people to know who Nina really is and what she’s capable of. Carly says, and if it helps Michael and Willow tomorrow, and kills Nina’s attempt at visitation with Wiley, even better. Bobbie couldn’t agree more, and says, anything that keeps Nina away from Wiley is a good thing, but as Carly’s mother, she can’t help but warn her, be careful what you wish for.

Sonny tells the guy that the lady is with him. Does he have something to say to her? They guy stammers, no, Mr. Corinthos… yes. He tells Nina that he’s sorry, and jets.

Portia says she knows Stella was close to her late sister, and Irene kept nothing from her. Stella says, then she understands that she couldn’t violate Irene’s trust, even after they lost her. Portia says, Curtis understands why Stella did what she did. Why not let him worry about healing those old family wounds? Isn’t that right, Nurse Johnson? Epiphany tells her, whatever you say, and Portia says, it won’t be long before Epiphany is the one asking all the questions, and they start calling her Dr. Johnson. Stella says, Epiphany is studying to be a doctor? She had no idea. Epiphany says, she missed her chance once to be a doctor, and thought she’d give it another shot. Stella says, good for her. What good is living if we can’t dream, and dream big? Epiphany says, Stella reminds her of someone she used to know.

Marshall says it’s good to see TJ and Molly, but he has to ask, how did they know where to look? Molly says, TJ may be a doctor, but he clearly inherited his mother’s detective skills. TJ says he found a receipt from a few months ago in Marshall’s clarinet case, and figured that was as good a lead as any. So he called the shop, and spoke with Mr. Purdy, who agreed to speak with him if he bought Purdy dinner. Marshall knows the rest. Marshall says, they’re a regular Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Does Curtis know they’re here? TJ says, absolutely. They’ve had enough secrets, doesn’t he think? Molly suggests she call Curtis right now, but Marshall says, don’t do that. TJ says, whatever went down with Uncle Curtis, once they get back home, they can clear the air and talk it all out. Marshall says he’s sorry, but that’s not going to happen.

Finn says they care about Elizabeth. That’s why she sent Jake and Aiden to live here in the first place, because she trusts Laura and Doc. She asks why they’re all down here whispering, and Laura says, because they thought she was asleep and didn’t want to wake her. Elizabeth says, or it could be, if she really believes she was speaking to Franco through Chelsea, she could be losing her mind? Finn says, no one is whispering, and no one thinks she’s crazy, and Elizabeth says, so if she’s not crazy to think Chelsea could communicate with the dead, then she’s what? A credulous fool? Somehow, that’s even worse. Laura says, no one thinks Elizabeth is a fool for wanting to believe someone she loved and lost isn’t gone forever. But he isn’t really. He lives on in Elizabeth’s heart and in the heart of her sons, and in the memories of the house she shared with him. Doc says, memories make us human, and it’s only natural to want to believe in something beyond this material world. Finn says, you have to be careful of people who want you to trust the dead more than you trust the living. Elizabeth has friends; she can trust them. She has family; she can trust them. She has him, and she can trust him. There’s a noise, and they all turn to look.

Nina says, that boy must be halfway to Buffalo by now, and Sonny says, if he has any sense. Nina thanks him, but says, he doesn’t need to defend her honor; she can take care of herself. She has the battle scars to prove it. He says he knows; he’s seen them. N’neka brings one signature martini and one scotch, but Sonny says he’d like a club soda on the rocks. Nina says she’s impressed that he’s sticking to his resolve, and he’s says he’s impressed with her, coming in here with her head held high after that hatchet job in The Invader. She says, let’s not talk about that, and let’s not talk about the hearing tomorrow either. They’re realities in her life, but they don’t have to focus in on them. He asks what she wants to talk about, and she says she’s sure they can think of something.

Carly tells Bobbie that she’s listening. Why does she need to be careful what she wishes for? How can The Invader article be anything but good for Wiley? Boy, Carly can sure be stupid at times. She says, if it helps insure Nina has no part in Wiley’s life, it’s a win-win, but Bobbie says she can’t help worry that the article could have unintended consequences. Carly says, like what? and Bobbie says, Sonny can’t resist a damsel in distress. What if the article brings out the knight in shining armor in Sonny, and draws him and Nina back together again? Carly says, what if it does? and Bobbie says, come on. Don’t pretend she can’t see where this is heading. If Nina keeps finding ways to end up in Sonny’s arms, there’s no chance of Carly and Sonny getting back together. Carly says, that ship has sailed for good, but Bobbie says, this is her mother she’s talking to. That ship hasn’t even left the dock.

Sonny tells Nina that Avery danced with her dance class, and he knows he’s biased, but they were the biggest hit of the festival. Nina says, no, no bias. He said Leo recited a poem. Were all the Quartermaines there? He says, yeah, Michael and Willow were there, and she says, she knows how painful the situation with Michael is. They don’t have to talk about it. He says he wants to get it off his chest. Things were tense with Michael, but Dante was there to be the peacekeeper. She says, good for Dante. So things are okay between him and Michael? He says, after the article about her, and everything he’s learned since, he doesn’t think it’s going be okay with Michael for a long time.

Stella says she’d love to hear more about Epiphany’s plans for a future in medicine, but doesn’t want to keep her from her duties. Epiphany says, actually, she’s off the clock, and Portia says, so is she. What are they doing sitting here in this conference room? They should be out, painting the town red. Stella asks if Curtis knows Portia is stepping out on him, and Epiphany says, good for her. She needs to keep that man on his toes. Portia says, in no way is she saying they go out looking for trouble, but what’s wrong with three beautiful, smart women going out and enjoying a night on the town? Epiphany says, Portia had her at beautiful. She needs a night off from studying for these MCATs, and she can be out of these scrubs in a minute. Stella asks where they’re going, and Portia says, Curtis’s club. They’re going to drink for free tonight. They clink coffee cups.

TJ says he doesn’t understand what’s stopping Marshall from coming home with them. It’s not like there’s something keeping him here. Or is there? Molly says she thinks they could use some one-on-one time. She’s going to head to the jazz club they saw around the corner. She’ll see them both there later. Marshall gets up, and she steps aside with him. She says she doesn’t think he understands how important he is to TJ. They were supposed to go to Miami and just lie on a beach together, and TJ gave that up just to find him. Marshall nods and smiles, and Molly leaves. Marshall tells TJ, don’t ever give that one up, and TJ says, he never will, but that goes for Marshall too. TJ thinks if Marshall is honest with himself, he doesn’t want TJ to go either. Marshall says he appreciates the kind words, but too much damage has been done. So many misunderstandings, so many regrets, so many hard feelings. Everywhere he goes, he leaves a path of destruction in his wake. Apparently, he’s confused himself with Peter. He says, everybody is better off without him. and he’s better off alone. TJ says he doesn’t know how Marshall can feel that way. He’s never stuck around long enough to find out.

Violet holds out a drawing, and tells Gregory, look what she made. He takes it, and says, that’s beautiful, and she tells him, he’s holding it upside down. He says he knew that; he was just teasing. He turns it, and says, that’s even better. She looks sad, and he asks, what’s wrong? She says, it goes with the one she made for Aunt Elizabeth. It was a picture of her family; daddy, Aunt Elizabeth, Jake, Aiden, Cameron, and her. He says, and this one? and she says, that’s him and Uncle Chase. He says, of course (🍷). He can see it now. So now Elizabeth will have all of them together. She says, he’s learning.

At Laura’s, they find a vase has fallen to the floor, and smashed. Elizabeth says, see? It’s Franco’s spirit, because the three of them don’t believe he’s real. Laura says, there could also be a simple explanation. The vase could have just fallen off the shelf. Elizabeth says, it didn’t just fall; they don’t live in earthquake country. It was pushed. Doc says, it was pushed by the books. Probably because he didn’t lean them on the shelf the right way. It was an accident just waiting to happen. Laura says, there is an explanation, but Elizabeth says, no. She’s going to call Chelsea to prove Franco is reaching out to her.

Carly asks when Bobbie became Sonny’s biggest fan, but Bobbie says her opinion of Carly’s ex hasn’t changed. To be clear, she’s not urging them to get back together, but she’s a realist. She doesn’t think it would be easy for anyone to kiss a lifetime of memories goodbye, good or bad. Carly says, Sonny did. He was a different man when he came back from Nixon Falls. She tried hard to save their marriage and hold on to what they had, but when Sonny slept with Nina, it just confirmed what she knew; there was nothing left to save. It hurt, but it would hurt a lot more if she turned a blind eye to Sonny’s fascination with Nina, and tying herself up in knots to stay with Sonny, when he doesn’t value her or their family. That’s why she filed for divorce. That’s why she didn’t fight for assets. Fighting with Sonny keeps her tied to him, and she just wants to be free. Bobbie says, and if Nina helps herself to Sonny, it won’t bother Carly? Carly says, Sonny is a grown man. He can do as he chooses. Wiley is a different story. Nina is a bottomless pit of need. She needs to believe Nelle is redeemable. If she’s allowed access to Wiley’s life, she’s going to fill his little head with distortions and outright lies. She’s glad Michael and Willow are fighting her petition; she’d be worried if they weren’t. Bobbie says, and there’s no part of her that wants to get back at Nina? and Carly tells her, she’d love to say she’s over it, but she’ll never be over what Nina did. Never.

Sonny tells Nina, Dante warned him about something. It’s not so much what he said, but what he didn’t say. She says, about Michael? and he says, Dante told him it’s not just a difference of opinion; not just another family dust-up. He said, Michael isn’t just trying to cut Sonny out of his life; he’s trying to take Sonny down. Nina says, no; that’s horrible. She’s so sorry. He says, he’ll always love Michael, but he has other family to take care of, a business that he’s proud of, people counting on him. He’s not going to let Michael tear down what he’s spent a lifetime building up. Does she think he’s wrong? Stella, Portia, and Epiphany have come in, and Epiphany says, Sonny Corinthos. Now you know this is the place to be when he’s here.

TJ tells Marshall that he’s sorry. He didn’t say that as an insult; he said it because it’s the truth. Leaving his clarinet as a way to say goodbye. TJ doesn’t want something to remember Marshall by; he wants Marshall. He won’t let Marshall walk out on him like Marshall did on his dad and uncle 40 years ago. Marshall asks if TJ ever stopped to think he did them a favor, but TJ says, letting two little boys believe their father is dead? He wouldn’t call that a favor. He gets that as little boys there wasn’t much they could do, but when they got older, they could have helped clear his name. Maybe address the reasons Marshall got remanded in the first place. Marshall says, Curtis told him about that? and TJ says, all Curtis told him was that Marshall was at a protest when things went wrong. He got arrested and ended up in a mental institution instead of prison. But as a doctor and his grandson, he’s not going to invade Marshall’s privacy. He’s not going to second guess the past. TJ is Marshall’s family, and Marshall is his, and always will be. Don’t walk out on his family again.

Finn asks Elizabeth to please wait and hear him out. She says she’s listening, but she doesn’t know what he’s going to say that he hasn’t already said. He says, he’s obviously not doing a good job, since he hasn’t made it clear; he’s always on her side. She says, if that’s true, just be with her the next time Chelsea comes to her house to contact Franco’s spirit. He says he doesn’t think Chelsea is contacting anyone’s spirit. He knows there have been some strange occurrences happening, and it’s frustrating not being able to figure out who’s responsible, but he doesn’t think they have to jump to the supernatural for an explanation either. Laura says she believes everything Finn is saying, and encourages Elizabeth to listen to him. Doc says, he thinks this might be a good chance for them to talk through things privately, but Elizabeth says, no. If anyone is going to leave, it’s Finn. If he can’t see what’s really going on, she doesn’t want him here. He says he is seeing what’s happening here; is she? He thinks someone is trying to keep them apart; separate her from him, separate her from the boys, separate her from Violet. They’re trying to break down the foundation of the life they’re trying to build together, and she’s playing into their hands. She says she doesn’t want to hear any more from him, and he says, she doesn’t have to, and leaves.

Carly tells Bobbie, Nina is always her own worst enemy. It’s all spelled out in The Invader who the real Nina Reeves is, the damage she’s caused, all the crimes she’s committed. Not one word was untrue; that feature was thoroughly vetted. Reading it should change a lot of people’s minds about her. Bobbie says, including the judge presiding at the visitation hearing, and Carly says, that’s right. And if justice is served, Nina will get the same visitation rights Nelle had; none. Bobbie says, they can only hope, but Nina is Wiley’s biological grandmother. That might be a deciding factor for some judge. So has Carly decided what she’s going to do if Nina pulls another rabbit out of her hat, and the judge rules in her favor?

Sonny hugs Stella, and greets Epiphany and Portia. Stella says, it’s always nice to see him, and he says, they know Nina. Nina says, she’s sure they read The Invader. All she has to say is, don’t believe everything you see in the paper. Epiphany says, okay, and tells them, you two have a good evening. The women go to their table, and Sonny says, that’s the thing he loves about Nina; she doesn’t back down; she doesn’t apologize. She says, it seems they have that in common. Before, he was going to ask what she thought about pushing back against Michael. He says, she didn’t give him an answer, and she says, here’s an answer; you’re not wrong.

Stella asks, how’s Trina? and Portia says, she’s putting on a brave face, but she’s worried about the trial; they all are. And on top of that, PCU filed a Title IX report. She read it, and it’s not good. Stella says she’s so sorry, and Epiphany says she is too. Trina is a fine young woman. Anyone who knows her, knows she’s innocent. Portia thanks her, and N’neka brings drinks. Stella says, they haven’t ordered yet, and N’neka says, courtesy of Mr. Corinthos. In a regal voice, Epiphany says, please tell him that we said thanks. N’neka goes back to the bar, and Epiphany asks Portia where Trina is tonight. Portia says, she’s with Josslyn. With Curtis out of town, she’d just be stuck home wondering about Trina, and thinking about the injustice her daughter is going through, but they came out to enjoy themselves, right? So let’s make a toast. Let’s toast to Epiphany nailing her MCATs. Epiphany says, we clink, and they do. Stella asks, what gave Epiphany the courage to pursue her dream? and Epiphany says she had a little push from a friend, or didn’t he tell Stella? Stella says, who? and Epiphany says, her brother-in-law Marshall. Stella says, whaat?

Marshall tells TJ, if Tommy were here, he’d be awfully proud of his son. Almost as proud as he is. TJ says, he appreciates the sentiment, but there’s such a thing as too much pride, and it’s safe to assume Marshall is too proud to admit he needs them as much as they need him. Marshall tells TJ to get his girl; he shouldn’t keep her waiting. TJ says, Molly is expecting both of them, so Marshall isn’t getting out of it. So let’s head on over to the club. Who knows? Maybe the spirit will move Marshall, he’ll sit in on a session, and show them how good he used to be. Marshall says, what does TJ mean, used to be? and TJ says, talk is cheap. Marshall says, okay. He knows when he’s on the losing end of an argument. Let’s do this.

On the phone, Elizabeth says, Chelsea, pick up… Stupid voicemail. Laura says, it’s getting kind of late. Elizabeth has been through a lot today. She suggests they go to bed, and Doc says, good idea. After a good night’s sleep, the world will look different in the morning. Elizabeth asks if he means she’ll be different; no longer delusional. Doc says, no one said she was delusional, but there is such a thing as the power of suggestion. Elizabeth says, maybe he’s right. Maybe in the morning, everything will look different. Elizabeth goes upstairs, and Laura says she wishes she could find the right words to help. Doc looks at the broken vase, and says, that’s a good metaphor for the evening. They go to find the broom and dustpan.  

Violet says, her daddy is late again, and Gregory says, he’s a doctor; sometimes emergencies come up. Finn comes in, and Violet hugs him. He says she doesn’t know how badly he needed that hug. Gregory says, they were about to give up on him, and Finn says he stopped by Laura and Doc’s. Gregory asks, how’s Elizabeth? and Violet wants to show Finn her picture. He tells her that it’s beautiful; that’s her granddad, and that’s her Uncle Chase. Violet tells Gregory, see? He got it right away. A waitress walks by, and Violet calls her Miss Waitress, and gives her order for a hot fudge sundae. Gregory says, that bad? and Finn says he’s losing her.

Carly tells Bobbie that she hopes for the best, but if the judge rules in Nina’s favor, she needs to protect Wiley. Bobbie says, which means? but Carly says, she doesn’t want to talk about the hearing tomorrow. She’ll deal with it then. Bobbie asks, what about her tests? but Carly says, they’re not urgent. They can wait until tomorrow.

Sonny says, Nina’s understanding and belief mean more to him that she knows. He felt like it was Sonny Corinthos against the world. She puts her hand on his, and says, her money’s on him. She knows he loves Michael, and won’t resort to anything drastic. He says, respect is very important to him, and Michael crossed that line, with him and Nina. He was going attend tomorrow’s hearing, and be there to support Michael and Willow. She asks if he’s changed his mind, and he says, Michael’s made it clear he doesn’t want his support, so he’s free… to support her.

Epiphany tells Stella, she and Marshall had a little something going on, or so she thought, until he said goodbye. Has Stella heard from him? Stella looks at Portia, who says, she can tell Epiphany, and she says, Curtis went to look for Marshall. Portia says, Jordan told her that TJ’s gone searching too. She hopes they can find Marshall and convince him to come back home. Stella says, if only it were that easy. Marshall made a big mistake 40 years ago, but he has something most people don’t get; a second chance to make it right.

Marshall tells TJ, follow him. This alley leads to the stage door. TJ asks if he can get in that way too, and Marshall says, the guy at the door knows him from back in the day. Always lets him in; no cover, no minimum. TJ says Marshall is always working an angle, and Marshall tells him to mind his elders. Two guys appear, and one says, you took the words right out of my mouth, old man. It’s never a good sign when it starts like that. Marshall says, they don’t want any trouble, and the other guy tells them, wallets and cell phones on the ground. Marshall tells TJ, they’re just going to do what they say. They throw their wallets and cell phones down, and Marshall says, it’s all good. Guy two says, what’s in the case? and Marshall says, it’s nothing but an old clarinet. Guy two says they’ll find some nerd to buy it. They’ll take that too. TJ says, the hell they will.

Doc says, of course (🍷) the roses had to fall while Elizabeth was here. He cleans up the mess, and Laura says she doesn’t know which is harder to believe. That Elizabeth believes this is Franco’s ghost, or that someone is willing to exploit her grief to drive her away from Finn. Doc says he thinks Elizabeth isn’t the only one who needs a good night’s sleep, and she says she’s sure he’s right. She asks him to lock up, and says, she’s going to check on Elizabeth one more time.

Finn puts headphones on Violet, and tells Gregory, for lack of a better word, the medium conducted a séance that only reinforced Elizabeth’s belief that Franco’s ghost is reaching out from beyond the grave. Gregory says, but Finn is convinced that it’s someone very much alive, trying to come between the two of them. Finn says, whoever is doing this knows Elizabeth well; maybe better than she knows herself. Gregory says, as Finn knows, he spent his life in a classroom. Teaching the history of the world is one big arc from superstition to science. Culture goes from fear of the unknown to the courage to ask the tough questions, no matter where they may lead. Finn says, that’s what led him to become a doctor. But what good is it if he doesn’t know how to free Elizabeth from the hold this person has over her?   

Doc sees the door open, and closes it. Laura comes down, and says, Elizabeth isn’t in her room; she’s gone. I smelled that coming when Elizabeth decided to go to bed.

Nina says she’s been adamant about Sonny not choosing between her and Michael, but he says, she’s not making him do anything. The last time he was on the witness stand, Scotty forced him to say he had feelings for Nina. Nina says, and it cost Sonny his marriage. This could cost him his son. Sonny says he’s just being clear. He’s not discounting anything she did. Remember what he said to her in that graveyard? She says she’ll never forget, and he says, he was the one who was supposed to have suffered because of her actions. Why can’t he take charge, and tell his story with his words? Carly comes in with Bobbie, and they all lock eyes.

Stella says she admires Epiphany’s attitude, and hopefully Marshall wises up and decides to come home. Portia says, who knows? Maybe they’ll get a fresh start. Epiphany laughs, and says she knows they mean well, but she’s not waiting for Prince Charming. Her life is full enough as it is. And if Marshall wants to find out if there’s room for someone else, he knows where to find her. Stella says, if Marshall Ashford doesn’t know what he’s missing, he’s a damn fool, and she and Epiphany clink glasses.

Marshall tells TJ, it’s just an old clarinet. They’re going to give them what they want. TJ says, it’s not just an old clarinet. It’s Marshall’s passion, his livelihood. It’s what’s kept him going all these years, when he would have given up. Guy two says he’s touched. Hand it over. Guy one takes out a switchblade, and guy two says, don’t make them ask again.  

Laura tells Doc, she checked every room and Elizabeth is nowhere to be found. He says, the security guard has been at the front entrance all night; she didn’t go through there. He supposes she could have taken the elevator to the basement and gone out the service entrance, and Laura says, this is nothing like her. And where would she be going at this hour of the night? Did Doc forget he found the door open?

Elizabeth slips into her house. She looks at the picture of her family that Violet drew.

Finn asks Gregory how he convinces Elizabeth that she’s not being haunted by Franco’s ghost. Nothing he says gets through to her. In her defense, there’s no evidence, no forced entry, no fingerprints. Every time something strange happened, no one was there. Violet’s headphones are off, and she says, that’s not true, daddy. Aunt Elizabeth was there. What did I say weeks ago? Out of the mouths of babes.   

Elizabeth picks up drawing, and tears Finn and Violet off of it.

Tomorrow, Portia asks Jordan if Curtis’s business is being threatened: Finn thinks Violet is on to something; Willow asks Michael, what if Nina wins; and TJ says, call 9-1-1.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Josslyn and Carly get mani/pedis and Josslyn says, this is really nice. Carly says she thought they could use a little mother/daughter pampering. Josslyn says she can tell Carly has wanted to ask her something since they came in, and Carly says, it can wait. Josslyn says, for a more appropriate time? When would that be? Is it about her and Cam? Esme? Trina’s trial? Or is it something simple? Final exams? Carly says she was going to ask about PCU report, and if Trina is allowed back in school. Josslyn says, there’s no official word on that. They’re just trying to stay as distracted as possible while they wait. Carly says, given the list Josslyn just rattled off, it seems she has tons to distract her. Josslyn says, same with Carly. The hearing for Nina’s petition is tomorrow. Carly says, it seems they both have their hands full. Josslyn says she’s not worried about Michael. He’s in strategic mode and has his game face on, and can handle anything right now, but she can’t help feeling sorry for Willow. She can’t imagine how hard this must be, especially after Carly told her the truth about her mother.

Willow looks at The Invader, and Michael asks what she thinks about the feature. She says, Smoltz did his job, and more, and he says, he knows she had her reservations, but with the hearing tomorrow, it’s best for them to use Smoltz to their advantage rather than having him press assault charges. She says she agrees. It’s also good to remind the world what Nina is capable of. There’s a knock at the door, and Michael lets in Dante and Sam. Michael says, he’s guessing this isn’t just a social call, and Dante says he’s afraid not. The lab came back with Willow’s DNA results. Willow asks if they prove her mom was not her mom.

Olivia asks if Leo wants to run his poem by her one more time, but he says he’s tired of practicing. He knows it by heart. Ned comes out with his tie, saying, he thinks Leo forgot something. He helps Leo put it on, and Brook peeks in from around the corner. Olivia suggests they go to the fair a little early, so Leo can get used to the crowds, and Ned says, he’ll meet them there. She says, because of ELQ business, and Brook continues to listen.

At Kelly’s, Valentin looks at The Invader headline on his tablet: In Regards to the Minor Child. Martin joins him, and says he’s sorry to have kept Valentin waiting. Valentin says, if Martin is going to give him some flowery excuse involving his personal life with Lucy, he wishes Martin wouldn’t. Martin says, forgive him. Obviously, somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed. Why? Because of that feature in The Invader? Valentin isn’t the only one. Lucy is positively livid having all that dirty laundry aired. Valentin says he feels for Nina. It’s no fun having your private life and past mistakes raked over the coals by the media, but there’s something else; ELQ’s called a board meeting. Martin says, ah-ha. No doubt the Quartermaines are intent on voting Valentin out as CEO. Valentin says, now it’s time for Martin to earn his retainer. What is he going to do about it?

At the hospital, Jordan sees TJ eating something from the vending machine, and says she hopes that’s not breakfast. He asks if she came to the hospital just to check on him, and she says, after that 24 hour shift he pulled the night Harmony was killed, she wanted to make sure he was okay. He says he had a good night’s sleep, and Molly’s pampering was better than going to the spa for a week. She says, make sure it stays that way, and he says, actually, he’s glad she’s here. She asks if he has something to report, and he says, a missing person – his grandfather. Curtis gets off the elevator at the Crimson office, and hears an alert on his phone. He sees it’s The Invader article, and the receptionist says, it’s nice to see him. Nina is expecting him, and he can just go in. He thanks her, and asks how Nina is handling the release of the article, but she tells him, see for himself. He goes into Nina’s office, where she’s on several calls. She tells the last one, her ten o’clock is here, and tells Janet to hold her calls. She says, sorry about that, like she’s not at work, and hugs Curtis. He says he came by to be a shoulder for her to cry on, but he’s her ten o’clock? She says, the world doesn’t stop because there’s some stupid feature in The Invader, and he asks if she’s sure she’s okay. She says she’s great. Really great. Why wouldn’t she be?

On the phone at the fair, Sonny leaves a message for Nina, saying, he read the feature. It looks like Michael didn’t hold back at all. She’s going to say it’s okay, but they both know it’s not. Just know she isn’t alone. He turns around, and Drew is there. He asks if Drew is there for the elementary school fair, or is Drew eavesdropping on his conversation? Drew says, Scout has a watercolor that’s worthy of DaVinci; it’s amazing. How about Sonny? Sonny says he’s here for Avery’s dance performance. A father’s gotta do what a father’s gotta do. Drew says, right. Then why is Sonny at war with his son?

Dante says, the test confirmed that Harmony wasn’t Willow’s biological mother, and Willow says, it’s not like it was a surprise. Michael says, it’s still a shock. She can take a minute. She says she wasn’t in denial. She knew he and Carly didn’t make it up, but still… Sam says, Dante didn’t tell her about the test results before they came, but she figured Willow could use a friend. She hopes that’s okay. They hug, and Willow says, it’s more than okay. They step away, and Michael thanks Dante for lighting a fire under the lab. Dante says, they didn’t do this because Michael is a Corinthos, or Quartermaine, or his brother, or even a captain of industry. Michael says, Dante never called him a captain of industry before, and Dante says, if the title fits. Michael asks where Dante is going with this, and Dante says, you tell me. Is there something Michael wants him to know about his business?

Ned fixes Leo’s tie, and Olivia says, perfect. Not that she would expect anything less. Leo’s father is an expert at the perfect corporate appearance. Leo says, but he’s going to his school fair, and Ned says, and he’s perfectly dressed. Olivia agrees, and says, the tie looks great. She and his dad can’t wait to sit in the audience and watch him read his poem. Right, Ned? Ned says, of course (🍷), and promises her that he’s not putting business before his family. She says, but? and he says, no buts. ELQ needs to be here for Leo when he comes of age; Michael and Drew’s agenda notwithstanding. Leo asks, where’s Chase? He can’t recite his poem without him. Brook says, he’s going to meet them at Rice Plaza, just in time to hear Leo’s poem. Leo doesn’t have to be nervous. Does he remember what Chase said? Leo says, if he pretends he’s only performing for one person, it makes it less scary. She says, if he does that, he can’t go wrong, and hugs him. Olivia tells Ned, they should take a page out of Leo’s book. Stop focusing on everything that could go wrong, and cherish what they have, right?

Martin tells Valentin, no you don’t. It’s not that simple. He can’t just wave a magic brief, and stop the shareholders from voting Valentin out. He’s got nobody to blame but himself; he was gone from Port Charles. Valentin says, Martin’s not being very helpful. He had an infection; he could have died. Martin says, fortunately, for those who love and care about Valentin, he’s back and in fighting form. Unfortunately, it gave the Quartermaines time to plan his ouster from their company. The minute Valentin turned his back, he gave them an opening. If that family remains a united front, Valentin doesn’t stand a chance.

Josslyn tells Carly, obviously, Harmony was very messed up, but Willow still believed Harmony was her mother; she still loved her. Not only does she find out Harmony is a killer, she basically kidnapped Willow. She doesn’t blame Carly for not wanting to tell Willow all that information the night of the accident. Carly says, Willow had a lot going on, but it turns out, she didn’t have to tell her. The information was part of the police investigation, so Dante did it. Josslyn says, the important thing is, she knows the truth, and Carly flashes back to telling Drew, if Nina is Willow’s mother, it’s going to be a huge problem for Michael and Willow, and Drew asking what she’s going to do if it’s true. Carly tells Josslyn, sometimes the truth can be a heavy weight to carry, and she doesn’t think Willow deserves that burden. Josslyn’s phone beeps, and she sees The Invader article. She says she’s sorry to bring this up, but she doesn’t understand why Nina is driving everyone through this ridiculous hearing. The only reason she can file a petition is because she’s Nelle’s biological mother? Look at Nelle. Nelle was insane. She was a baby swapper. One look at Nelle’s police record, and the judge should laugh Nina out of that courtroom. Carly says, Nelle is beside the point. The judge should deny Nina visitation because of Nina’s own actions. Josslyn hopes the judge reads The Invader, because this feature on Nina’s petition makes a strong case. Yeah, that could also cause a mistrial, but I’ll let it pass.

Nina thanks her receptionist, and reminds her to shut the door on her way out. She leaves, and Curtis asks if Nina has read this, holding up his phone. She says, she got an advanced copy, and has to admit, at first, she was horrified that hack reporter painted her as dangerous and deranged, courtesy of Michael and Willow. She’s not new to a scandal, so she can curl up in a ball and die, or keep going on with her life, and prepare for her day in court, and a chance at being in her grandson’s life. He says, in other words, backing down is not an option, and she asks if he’s surprised. He says, he shouldn’t be, but it’s just that he knows when she’s trying too hard.

Sonny asks if Michael put Drew up to using a kid’s event to lobby on his behalf, but Drew says, Michael doesn’t need or want him to fight his battles. Frankly, he wishes there weren’t any to fight. Sonny says, Drew will have to ask Michael about that. He’s so angry, he wants to change the image of the Corinthos name. By the time Wiley is old enough to ask questions about his grandfather, he’ll be a distant memory. He’s got to put a stop to that.

Michael tells Dante, he’s sorry he came across defensive. It’s just that, now that Drew regained control of his shares, they’re getting ready for a showdown with Valentin. Sam says she thinks corporate shenanigans will have to wait. She’s pretty sure Drew’s focusing on Scout’s watercolor she’s exhibiting at the elementary school fair. Willow says, good for Scout; the world needs more artists. Sam says, she may be biased, but she thinks Scout’s a good artist. The fair’s today. If Willow wants to get her mind off the DNA test results, she can come with Sam. Willow says, perfect, and Sam asks if she wants to bring Wiley. Willow says she wishes she could, but the nanny took him to the zoo. Dante says, he’ll see them both at the fair later, and Willow tells Michael to join her later. He says, if he can, and Sam says she’ll take good care of Willow. They leave, and Michael says, so Dante didn’t just come by to share the DNA results. Want to tell him why he’s really here?

Leo says, they’re going to be late, and Brook says she’ll make sure her dad is there on time. Leo says, Chase too, and Brook promises, Chase too. Olivia tells Leo, let’s skedaddle, and they leave. Ned says, uh-oh, he’s in trouble, and Brook says, she doesn’t always agree with Olivia, but this time, Olivia is right on. He has a lot to be grateful for; don’t mess it up. He says he’s trying not to, and she says, then why not just be grateful there’s a strategy that weakens Valentin’s hold on the company? Isn’t expanding Aurora and merging it with ELQ a good idea? He says, he sees. Michael and Drew got to her.

Jordan says, Curtis told her Marshall left town, and TJ asks if Curtis told her why. She says, Curtis was determined to dig into Marshall’s past. Maybe he found something Marshall thought could hurt him. TJ says, or maybe he took it personally that his son didn’t trust him, and she asks if he doesn’t think Curtis has a reason not to trust Marshall. He left when Curtis and TJ’s dad were just boys, and pretended he was dead. TJ says, he has his reasons to want to find his grandfather and bring him home. He tried calling Marshall’s phone, but it wasn’t in service. She says, it’s possible… and he says, it’s possible Marshall doesn’t want to be found. Uncle Curtis says that, but he needs Marshall to tell him that face-to-face. But he’s a doctor, not a cop. She’s Police Commissioner. Help him find his grandfather.

Nina tells Curtis, she’s not going to let that Smoltz and that sleazy feature have power over her. He says, easier said than done, and she asks who she’s kidding. Everyone loves a scandal, and judges aren’t immune. And Michael and Willow couldn’t have timed this better. She’s sure this is going to affect her petition for visitation with Wiley, and the only person she has to blame is herself. He asks, where is the strong and determined Nina that he knows and loves? She has her own ammunition. She says, she does? and he says, if Michael and Willow are determined to prove that she’s unfit to see Wiley, than she and her attorney should demand to know why a man with Sonny’s reputation is granted unrestricted access.

Drew says, Sonny can’t blame Michael for feeling protective of Carly, and Sonny says, but this is between him and Michael’s mother. Carly is capable of fighting her own battles; Michael doesn’t have to do that for her. Drew says, still, she’s his mom, and Sonny says, he’s Michael’s father. He didn’t want the divorce; Carly did. Now Michael is accusing him of being disloyal and unworthy of the name Sonny gave him. Drew says, he hates seeing bad blood between a father and son. Is there anything Sonny thinks he can do to help?

Dante thinks Michael can guess why he’s here, and Michael says, Dante wants to talk about their dad. Dante says he does, but he’s not taking sides. Michael says, he appreciates that. Can they drop it now? Dante says, no. He thinks Michael and Sonny should get in a room together and talk. Who knows? Maybe they can find somewhere to meet in the middle. Michael says, his dad made a choice to forsake his family. He put Nina first, and the rest of them a distant second. Dante says, that’s not true;Sonny cares about his family. And he’ll prove it to Michael.

Josslyn asks if Carly has read part one of the feature, but Carly says, no, not yet. Josslyn says, she should. She considers it karmic payback for Nina for sabotaging Carly’s marriage. Carly says, Sonny doesn’t get a free pass. Her marriage ended because of the choices Sonny made when he came back to Port Charles. Josslyn says, what Sonny did to her was so unfair. She still doesn’t understand it. She doesn’t understand how Sonny says he loves Carly, then treats her that way. Carly says, she won’t deny that it hurt – it did – but she can move past a broken heart. Sonny’s kids thought he was dead for nine months. Michael, Kristina, and Dante can navigate through their grief, and somehow understand it, but Avery and Donna are babies. They were sad, and they were confused, and they missed their dad. All those tears she wiped from those little girls’ cheeks, and Nina could have put an end to it in 30 seconds, but she didn’t. Nina kept Sonny to herself while they all grieved. They were collateral damage. Josslyn says, she’s so sorry, and Carly asks, what kind of mother would she be if she didn’t insist Nina suffer the consequences for what she did to their family? Josslyn says, or what she’s doing now – to Michael, to Willow, and to Wiley.

Sonny asks how Drew thinks he can help, and Drew says, he could get Sonny and Michael together. Play mediator. He definitely won’t take sides.

Willow and Sam arrive at the fair, and Sam tells Willow, it looks like all the moms and dads are here. She’s sorry; that was tactless. Willow is grieving Harmony, and just now found out Harmony’s not her biological mother. Willow says, if anyone owes an apology, it’s her to Sam. Her mother tried to kill Sam’s mother, and she wasn’t even Willow’s mother. Which leaves her with a serious question – who is?   

Nina says she won’t allow Sonny to be dragged into this, and Curtis says, not five minutes ago, she was ready to take on the world, and now she’s giving up. She says, no. She thought about giving up. She visited Nelle’s grave, and she was reminded that not only did she miss out on raising that little girl, she didn’t get a chance to help her conquer her demons. Demons Nelle might not have had if Nina had raised her. Wiley is all she has left. She can’t turn her back on him. She won’t – she can’t – lose another child.

Sonny tells Drew, Michael’s not going to listen to reason. He told Michael that he’s not taking Nina’s side at the hearing tomorrow, but he’s not throwing Nina under the bus either, and Michael thinks that’s a major betrayal. Drew says, Michael’s got a lot on his plate besides the hearing. Don’t write him off just yet; be patient, and let things settle down a bit. Sonny says, Michael is building a wall around his family to keep him out, and Drew says, walls don’t stay up forever. Things change. Sonny asks why Drew would say that. Is there something Drew knows that can help him get his family back together? If there is, Drew’s got to tell him.

Dante says, when he told Sonny that Harmony attacked Carly, his first impulse was to call her, and Michael says, to alleviate his guilt. Dante says, Michael is so sure of that, and Michael says, Dante wasn’t raised by their dad, but he’s sure he’s heard Sonny talk about his code about family and loyalty and all that. He threw it away for Nina. He threw Michael’s mom away, even though she stood by him through hell and back. He thought about calling her, but he didn’t. Why? Because when he sees her, he’s reminded that not only did he betray her, he betrayed himself. Dante thinks there’s more to it than that. Nobody’s perfect. Not Sonny, not him, and not Michael.

Broom says, if they don’t leave now, they’ll be late for Leo’s performance, but Ned says he thinks she still has time to explain how she found out about this merger. She says, Michael told her. He assured her that everything was above board. She doesn’t think Ned needs to be concerned about his position being threatened. He says, Michael and Drew came up with the plan, and started laying the groundwork without ever consulting him. She says she’s going to take a shot in the dark, and say it’s because they both work at Aurora. Because of their close proximity, they have more opportunity to talk. He says, with each other, but not to him, and she says, there’s no secrets here. Michael wants to be completely transparent. She hasn’t talked to Drew, but she’s sure he feels the same way. He says, and they approached her, thinking that if they won her over, she could try to sell the idea to him, and she says, she’s not selling anything. She just happens to think merging ELQ with Aurora to dilute Valentin’s shares is a genius idea. He says, for Michael and Drew. They’re planning for a future with no place in it for him. She tells him, don’t do that. Don’t go to the dark side, and do or say something he’s going to regret.

Martin says, he can hear the wheels turning from here, and asks what Valentin is hatching. Valentin says, he’s mulling his options, but Martin says, he doesn’t have any. Valentin says, as Martin told him, this whole thing hinges on the Quartermaines presenting a united front, which has never been their strong suit. Olivia walks in with Leo, and says, you know what they call this? Leo says, Kelly’s? and she says, procrastination. He tells her, a donut will help him say his poem, and Valentin says, everybody loves donuts. He tells Leo, hello, and asks if Leo remembers him. Leo says, he used to be Bailey’s father, and Valentin says, that’s right. Leo likes donuts; his favorite is cream filled. Leo says, his too, and Valentin asks if Martin minds. Martin says, by all means, with Olivia’s permission, and Olivia thanks him, telling Leo, just one. Martin takes Leo to get a donut, and Olivia says, that was kind of Valentin. He says, she seems surprised, and she says, with the tension with the ELQ/Aurora merger, she thought he’d be less than thrilled with the Quartermaines. He says, there’s been a merger? and Olivia says, he didn’t know? She just assumed… He says, of course (🍷) he knows; he’s CEO. But what’s more important, a bit of business, or putting a smile on a kids face?

Jordan tells TJ, Marshall told Curtis that he was leaving town, which doesn’t make him a missing person. It would be unethical for her to launch a private search, especially since he might have left because Curtis crossed the line. TJ says, so Curtis drives his grandfather away, and her hands are tied, and there’s nothing he can do about it? She tells him, she didn’t say that. As a doctor, he has his own powers of observation, as well as the ability to search for clues. He says, through the lens of a microscope, but she says, it’s not that different from police work. Start with what he knows about his grandfather. He says, which is next to nothing. He vanished almost without leaving a trace. She says, almost? and he says, all he left was a clarinet and a note. He thinks a moment, and tells her, don’t go anywhere. He’ll be right back.

Nina tells Curtis, she’s not naïve. She knows Nelle did some terrible things, but maybe if she’d had a loving mother to raise her, she could have directed Nelle on the right path. He says, maybe, and she says, or maybe she’s just deluding herself. At this point, she doesn’t know. He says, it’s the not knowing that drives us crazy, and she says, his father came back into his life. He got a second chance. He says, not anymore; Marshall left town. She says, for good? and he says, looks that way. She says she’s so sorry, and he says, you’d think he’d be able to handle it. He learned to live without him as a kid; he can do it again. She says, but this time it’s harder. Marshall isn’t just a name his family would tell stories about. He’s someone Curtis actually got to know

Sam asks what Willow is thinking, and Willow says, all the places she lived as a child. Her parents moved around so much, it’s just a blur of names and faces. Could a neighbor or a member community be her biological mother? Sam says, before Willow starts asking herself these questions, there’s something she tells her potential clients before she takes a job. Willow says, and it applies to her? and Sam says, it could. Once you start the search, you don’t know where it’s going to lead. So before Willow goes looking for her biological mother, ask herself, am I prepared for any and all answers, even if it’s not what I want hear?

Drew tells Sonny, he can’t reveal the details, but he and Michael are working on a new project involving Aurora and ELQ. Sonny says, and? and Drew says, and while they’re butting heads with Valentin, maybe he can intercede on Sonny’s behalf and broker peace. Sonny asks if Valentin is likely to retaliate, and Drew says, if he does, he and Michael can handle it. Sonny says, no disrespect, but despite their differences he’s not going to let Michael go up against Valentin without back-up. He wants in.

Brook tells Ned, today is all about Leo. Put his politicking over who’s in control at ELQ on pause. He can talk to Michael tomorrow. Tell Michael how he feels, and together they can figure out where everyone stands in the new world order. Ned says, in theory, sounds good, and she says, wait for it. Here’s where he dismisses her idea like he always does. He says he’s not going to dismiss her idea. She’s right. This is Leo’s day, and he’s not going to spoil it by talking about business. Like she said, there’s plenty of time resolve his differences with Michael and Drew. She says, she knew he’d understand, and he says, more than she knows. She grabs his hand, and pulls him out of the Nook.

Valentin tells Leo, good luck at the fair, and Olivia thanks them. She and Leo leave, and Martin says, ELQ and Aurora are merging? Since when? Valentin asks what he’s paying Martin for. First, they replace him as CEO, then merge, diluting his shares and weakening him further. Unless… Martin says, unless what? and Valentin says, unless he brings a member of the family to his side. Martin almost laughs, then realizes Valentin is serious.

TJ shows Jordan the clarinet, and says, he left it in his locker since he’s been working around the clock, and forgot to take it home. She looks at the note, and says, nothing about where he’s headed. Wasn’t Marshall part of the music scene when he was living in New York City? He says, it’s five boroughs and eight million people; where does he start? She says, maybe his grandfather left behind something more than this clarinet and a note, and TJ starts looking through the instrument parts. He takes out one of the pieces, and pulls a paper out of it. He says, it’s a receipt from a music shop in Brooklyn; pretty recent too. She says, Marshall must have used the shop to refurbish his clarinet, and TJ says, but if Marshall gave him the clarinet, why go back to the shop? She says, to get a new one? Maybe the shop owner knows where Marshall lives. TJ won’t know unless he asks. Does he give up the first time he looks through a microscope? He asks what she thinks.

Nina says she refuses to give up (nice editing) on Wiley, and she won’t let Curtis give up on his father. He says, another voice in the room. Aunt Stella already weighed in. She says she’s sure she and Stella agree, and she’s honored to be in such distinguished company. What did Aunt Stella have to say? He says, she told him that he should talk it out with Marshall, and get the answers he wants, no matter how much they hurt. She says, good advice. So what is he going to do about it?

Michael tells Dante, he never claimed to be perfect, and doesn’t expect perfection from dad or anyone else. Dante says, then cut the man some slack. Have a chat with him, man to man, and figure out what kind of relationship they’re going to have. Isn’t that in Wiley’s best interest, and everyone’s best interest? Michael says, dad was given a second chance in life, and how did he use it? By turning his back on his family to be with the woman who kept him from us for almost a year. He can’t get past that. Dad made a choice; he’s made his. Dante says, Michael sounds just like Sonny.

Willow tells Sam, part of her is convinced the pain won’t go away until she finds out where she’s from and who her mom is. At the same time, she’s not sure she’s ready. Maybe she never will be.

Drew says, he thought Sonny was ready to turn his back on Michael, but now he wants to help him. Sonny says, Michael turned his back on him, but he’s still his son. It’s his job to protect him. Drew says he’s glad to hear that, and Sonny says, good. Now tell him what’s going on with Valentin. How can he help? Drew says, as much as Sonny’s friendship means to him, the answer’s no.

Curtis tells Nina, if he goes looking for his father, he opens up his family to more lies and more deception. She says she knows how he feels. One day, Wiley is going to come to her with all kinds of questions, and she’d give anything not to answer them. He says, about Nelle? and she says, and about her. She could do the easy thing, and give Michael and Willow what they want and walk away. He says, but she won’t do that, and she says she can’t live without her grandchild. He has to ask himself something. Can he live without father?

TJ tells Jordan that he already has some time off approved. He’ll head to Brooklyn and the music shop. But what if Uncle Curtis is right, and Marshall doesn’t want to be found? What if he makes things worse? She says, what if he makes things better? Follow his heart; she’ll handle things with Curtis. They hug, and he says, he’ll have to call Molly. He hopes she’s not too attached to the Miami trip they were planning (like NYC is a poor choice). We’re headed to Brooklyn. She tells him, good luck, and he leaves.

Martin tells Valentin, brilliant idea in theory, but he has significant obstacles. He has to move fast, before the merger closes, not to mention, what Quartermaine would take his side? Valentin says, he has to ask himself, who bono? Martin says, who benefits. Okay, he’ll bite. Valentin says, if Aurora and ELQ merge, he loses, and Drew and Michael stand to gain. Martin says, so? and Valentin says, then he has to ask himself, where does that leave Ned?

Olivia and Leo get to the fair, and Leo says, so may people. Ned and Brook join them, and Ned says, Leo is going to do great; he’s got this. Leo says, Brook came, and hugs her. She says, she told him she would. He remembers Chase’s advice, right? He says, Chase was his one person. Where is he?

Willow tells Sam to go ahead and look at the exhibits. She needs to rest a bit. Sam says, of course (🍷), after everything she’s been through, and Willow says, once the kids perform, she’ll feel better. Sam says, take her time. And about the identity of her birth mother; if and when Willow decides to look for her, they’ll find her together.

Carly tells Josslyn that she has to protect Wiley. It starts with doing whatever she can to support Willow and Michael. Josslyn says, everybody knows that their family was the wronged party. Nina’s circle of friends, or fans, or whatever it is, can’t defend her for very long. Not with this reminder; this feature showing world who Nina is and what she’s capable of. Carly says she’s sure Nina is working overtime painting herself as the victim; the grandmother with good intentions, who’s tragically misunderstood. Josslyn says, no. She’s the woman who kept Sonny Corinthos from his family for nine months, and who induced labor, and stole Avery. (Ha-ha-ha! The way she said that made it sound like Sonny gave birth.) She says, everyone knows that Carly is completely justified in wanting to shield Wiley from Nina, no matter how far she has to take it.

Michael tells Dante, he’s nothing like Sonny. Sonny takes what he wants, does what he wants, and the hell with anybody who gets in his way. He owes it to Wiley to make the Corinthos name mean more than that. Dante says he gets Michael wants to rebrand the Corinthos name in his own image, but why trash Sonny? Why can’t he leave their dad out of it? Michael says, it’s not enough that he has to rise to the top; Sonny has to fall. Dante sighs, and says, Michael does know where this could lead, right? and Michael says, he’s going to take everything from Sonny; every shred of legitimacy that he has. And the next time the PCPD comes calling, he’s not going to have anywhere to hide. Wow. Michael is certainly full of himself. I like him less and less.   

Sonny says, Michael is lucky to have Drew by his side, and Drew thanks him. Sonny says, but if Michael is going to let a family disagreement escalate into something more, he’s going to need all the luck he can get.

On Monday, Curtis asks Stella why she lied to him; Chase tells Leo that he has to do his part; Valentin says, it must be his lucky day; and Drew has a proposition for Ned.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

On the phone, Sonny tells Brick that he got the latest report on the west coast competition, while I try to figure out what on earth is that sculpture or taxidermy or both in his office. What is that??? There’s knock at the door, and Frank brings in Dex. Sonny tells Brick, something just came up, but he’ll get the report to him. He says, Dex doesn’t waste any time; he just saw Dex this morning. Dex says, Sonny told him there might be more work for him, so why wait? Sonny tells Frank that he can go, and Dex says he brought his resumé. Sonny takes it, and tears it up.

In an exam room, Brando wonders, where’s TJ? and tells Sasha, they should have the results of the CT scan by now. She says, maybe he got caught up with another patient. She’s sure the CT will be fine. All she has is a headache and some jangled nerves. They shouldn’t even have bothered him. Brando says, she had a major shock last night. He’s tracking TJ down. He leaves, and Sasha’s hand shakes as she holds a cup of water. TJ comes in, and says he’s sorry it took so long; there’s a back-up in radiology. Her CT looked fine, but does she want something for the headaches?

At the MetroCourt Garden, Gladys looks at the memory card, and flashes back to Sasha trying to escape the photographer. Valentin asks if he can be of some assistance.

Curtis sees Jordan at the hospital and asks if she’s okay. She says she’s fine; she passed her latest check-up with flying colors. He asks, what’s with the concerned expression? and she says she’s following up on the Harmony Miller case. What about him? He says he was hoping to speak with TJ, but he’s been working these 24 hour shifts, and it’s been hard to get ahold of him. Jordan tells him, one thing you can say about her son, he’s no slacker, and Curtis agrees. She asks what he wants to talk to TJ about… Sorry, none of her business. Old habits die hard.

Nina peeks in the window of the nail salon, then goes inside. The receptionist asks if she can help, but Nina says she sees who she’s looking for. She whips the towel off of Scotty’s face, and asks the technician to give them a second. He says, if Nina is looking for a manicure, Veronica is her girl, but if she’s looking for her attorney, he’s busy. She says, too bad. She needs his full and complete attention, and she needs it now.

Willow says, that’s not true, and Dante says, he’s sorry, but the evidence they have that says she’s not Harmony’s biological daughter is from Dr. Byrne’s notes; what’s left of them anyway. Michael says, what’s left? and Carly says, Harmony burned most of them. She found the remaining sheets in a folder Harmony missed. Dante says, what they have are partial notes from Dr. Byrne’s therapy sessions with Harmony, and Michael says, if it’s only a partial record, maybe he misunderstood Dr. Byrne’s notes. Carly says, Harmony said Willow wasn’t her biological daughter, and Michael says, that would explain why she attacked Carly and Alexis. So no one else would know the truth. Dante says he’s sorry. He knows Willow has questions, and the PCPD will do their best to give her answers. Willow says, it’s a lie.

Sonny says he can’t rely on resumés. Chet already said all kinds of nice things about Dex, and he already knows Dex can handle himself by the way he handled those fighters that were supposed to be sparring, but ended up fighting. Dex asks if that means he has a job, but Sonny says he has to get to know Dex better before he decides if Dex is the right fit for one of his businesses. Dex says, coffee, import/export, and Sonny says, the most important thing is trust, especially in his business. He has to know if he can trust Dex. If that’s a problem, they stop right now. I’m starting to think Sonny really does deal in coffee, since we don’t see him deal in anything else really.

TJ tells Sasha, they’ll start with an over the counter, non-habit forming medication, and that should take care of the headaches. If it doesn’t work, he’ll prescribe something stronger. Brando walks in, and looks at the prescription in Sasha’s hand.

Gladys says, it’s been a while, and Valentin says, it has, sitting down. He says, he was about to leave, when he saw her sitting there staring at that memory card. He takes it out of her hand, and slides her laptop over. He asks if she wants him to open the files, but she says she can handle it. He says, what have we here? He looks at a picture of Sasha, and says, it’s the Face of Deception.

Jordan says, if she sees TJ, she’ll tell him that Curtis is looking for him. He says, wait. It’s about Marshall. She says, what about him? and he says, TJ likes the guy, and wants to know his grandfather. She says, TJ has a big heart, and he’s very forgiving. Marshall’s absence for all these years hasn’t hurt him the way it has Curtis. He says, still, there are some things TJ’s entitled to know, and she says, such as? He says, such as who and what Marshall really is.

Scotty tells Nina, for cryin’ out loud, get lost, but she says she’s not getting lost. He’s supposed to be preparing to help her fight to be in her grandson’s life, not getting a manicure. He says, judges like well-manicured lawyers. Not to mention, her Aunt Liesl likes it when his nails are clipped and polished, and ready for action. She says, the state of his cuticles isn’t a high priority right now, since she got an advance copy of the five-part series The Invader is going to run. He says he got it too, and she asks why he’s so calm. They’re trying to sabotage her, even before she sets foot in a courtroom. He says, who’s they? and she says, Michael and Willow, who else?

Michael tells Willow, it’s a lot to process. Dante can come back later. She says, Neil Byrne? He lost his medical license. He was a drug addict. Who’s to say he didn’t make up lies about her mother to feed his own fantasy; blaming her for an imaginary adoption? The man was obviously delusional. Dante tells her, as he said, the PCPD is not going to accept anything without further proof, but she has to ask herself, why would  Harmony kill her psychiatrist and his brother if not to keep her secret protected? Willow says she doesn’t know, but she does know her mother loved her. Maybe she wasn’t the best mom, but she loved Willow as only a mother can love her child, especially now, before she… Michael says, his mother told them Harmony admitted the truth to her; she wouldn’t lie. Carly sits with them, and tells Willow that Harmony said it to her again; to her and Alexis at Ring-Around-the-Rosie Point. That’s why she attacked them. She was so desperate to keep her secret, and when it started coming out, she just lost it. Michael says, maybe that’s what drove Harmony to the middle of the road without looking. She had hopes of finding Willow, telling Willow what she did, and seeking forgiveness. Nice move on Michael’s part, since that will probably make Willow feel guilty. Willow says, that’s what Carly was talking about in the chapel, and Carly says, she wanted to give Willow a little time. That’s why she didn’t tell Willow last night; she didn’t tell Michael either. Willow says she didn’t lose her mother last night. Harmony was never her mother in the first place. Wow. She got past denial quickly.

Dex says, Chet warned him that Sonny might tear the resumé up. He said Sonny plays by his own rules. Sonny says, Dex brought the resumé anyway, and Dex says, he’d rather be overprepared than show up lacking. Sonny says he likes Dex’s philosophy. If – and that’s a big if – he has room for Dex in one of his businesses, he needs to know Dex can take orders and follow them. No going rogue, and never think he knows better than Sonny. Are they clear? Dex says, crystal. He just needs a chance to prove himself. Sonny asks what Dex thinks they’re doing. He knows Dex is tough; Dex already proved that this morning. But tough can only get you so far. Smart is the better way.

Brando asks if Sasha is okay, and TJ says, the CT didn’t show any serious injury, but here’s no need for Sasha to live with residual pain. He recommended a painkiller. Sasha says, over the counter, not habit forming, and Brando thanks TJ. TJ says, anytime, and Sasha says she’d love to freshen up before she goes to work as the Face of Deception. She thanks TJ, and he leaves. Brando says, pick her up later? and she says, of course (🍷). He leaves, and she dumps her bag out on the counter. The photographer walks in, and she asks what the hell he’s doing here. He says he saw her doctor and husband leave, and thought he should check up on her. Missing something? He knows just how she feels.

Valentin says he didn’t think Sasha was capable of taking a bad picture, and Gladys says, it’s not Sasha. It’s the paparazzo who wouldn’t leave her alone. He asks how she got her hands on his photos, and she says, how does he think? He says, these were taken last night; he assumes before Harmony got hit with Sasha’s car. Gladys says, it was an accident, and he says he knows that, and she knows that, but in the wrong hands, these photos tell a decidedly different story. He shows her the photo where Sasha is picking up her pills.

Jordan says she thought Curtis made peace with Marshall’s past, but he says, easier said than done. After she refused to dig up his father’s sealed arrest records… She says she gave him a good reason for that, and he says, he understood. He wasn’t happy about it, but he realized he was putting her in an impossible situation. She says, so he found someone else to help, and he says, certain information came his way. She asks, what kind? and he says, the kind she wouldn’t release to him. She asks how he managed that when she said no.

Scotty says, Nina’s case will be decided in court, not on the pages of The Invader. So he suggests she chill out and get herself a manicure. She says, the byline belongs to Grant Smoltz, and he’s painting her to be this vengeful homewrecking vixen out to get Wiley’s other grandmother, Saint Carly. He says, there’s nothing he can do about Schmaltz and his slander, because everything he said was public record. She asks if he doesn’t think the judge is going to read that, and deny her petition for visitation. Out of the two grandmothers, who does Scotty think the judge is going to have more sympathy for? He says, there are two grandmothers involved, and one just died. Compared to Harmony, Nina is Mother Teresa. She asks what he’s thinking, and he says, Harmony Miller is the suspect in two murders. She just assaulted Carly and Alexis, and she’s dead. He’s sure Willow is all over the map right now, and so is Michael. Nina says, and…? and Scotty says, they go to Michael and Willow’s barracuda lawyer, and say it will behoove them to drop this whole Invader thing; they go to court, and let the judge decide whose behavior is better, Nina’s or a double murderer’s. Diane has walked in, and says, nice try, but on behalf of her clients, they’ll see them in court.

Willow says, it makes a scary kind of sense; it explains so much. Harmony isn’t her biological mother. Is that why Harmony couldn’t find her birth certificate; there’s no official record? Dante says, according to Alexis, that birth certificate never did exist. The one Willow got from Harmony was forged. Carly says, when Willow was a baby, Harmony took her from someone else, and claimed Willow as her own. Willow says, she was kidnapped? Oh my God. What else doesn’t she know? Michael asks if she wants a break, but she says, they can’t stop now. Everything she ever thought about her childhood is a lie, and she has to know the truth.

Dex tells Sonny, he never went to college, but he served two tours. He’s seen combat, and can handle himself under pressure when everything’s on the line. Sonny says, he appreciates the ability to handle trouble, but doesn’t want his employees looking for trouble. Dex says he kept his nose clean at the gym, and only mixed it up when he had to, and Sonny says, Chet told him. Dex says, if you keep your cool, you don’t have to mix it up. If there’s no choice, he acts quickly, and makes sure he’s the last man standing. Sonny says he likes Dex’s attitude, but attitude will only get you so far. Sooner or later, you have to back it up.

Sasha says, get out, and the photographer asks if she’s going to scream for help, or scream for one of those pills she was going to pop before he took her picture? She says, those pills are for migraines, like the one he gave her when he wouldn’t leave her alone. He says, those capsules are distinctive, and they’re not for migraines. They’re not pillow mints either. She says, if he hadn’t chased after her, she… He says, she wouldn’t have turned Harmony Miller into roadkill? She says, he’s disgusting. She hadn’t taken anything. He says, only because he surprised her. Far be it for him to spoil the Face of Deception. He just wants his memory card. Those pictures are his bread and butter. She says, hers too, and he says, then he’ll delete the ones he has of her and the pills. He’ll even forget what he saw. She asks how she’s supposed to believe him, and he says, believe this. He has connections. He can get what she needs. He sends her his number, and tells her to give him a call; sooner rather than later. It’ll be their little secret.

Gladys closes the laptop, and tells Valentin, her daughter-in-law is grieving the loss of her baby. The doctor prescribed some medication to help her cope. He says she has his sympathies. The loss of her child is tragic, but Sasha has a public history of drug abuse, covered on Good Morning America no less. A photo with her and medication would cause red flags. She’s his business partner, the face of the company, and the brand ambassador, so she represents a huge part of his investment. Gladys says she couldn’t trust Sasha more if she were her own flesh and blood daughter. Now if he’ll excuse her… She goes to another table.

Jordan asks how Curtis got his hands on his father’s sealed arrest record, but then says, never mind. She won’t force him to tell her the truth, or compel him to lie; both are bad. He says she seems to care more about how he found out than what he found out, and she says, dammit. She cares about him.

Nina asks Diane to just listen, but Scotty tells her, quiet. He tells Diane, he knows her BFF’s roommate just died under mysterious circumstances… Diane says she thinks he means Alexis’s houseguest, not roommate, Harmony Miller. He says, aka Willow Tate’s mommy. If they want to play hardball, he’ll make sure the judge knows that one of the grandmas is a murderer. Diane tells him, knock himself out. Harmony Miller wasn’t biologically related to Wiley, therefore has no standing; therefore it’s a non-starter. She’s a little surprised at how fuzzy he is as counselor for the petitioner on this particular legal question. The only reason his client has any standing to bring a petition is because the biological grandmother, and the biological mother, convicted kidnapper and murderer Nelle Benson, is dead. But her clients are well within their rights to argue against the petition. And if Nina cares about this little boy like she says she does, she’ll drop the claim before The Invader article goes national.

Willow says, Carly was with her mother just before she died. Did Harmony tell her why she lied about Willow being her child? Carly flashes back to Harmony asking her to protect Willow because Nina’s love will smother her, and her promising Harmony that Willow will be okay. Willow says, please. Her whole life just became one big question mark. Did her mom… Did Harmony tell her anything?

Dex says he wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t ready to prove Sonny can trust him. Sonny says, Dex’s service is impressive, and he saw what Dex could do at the gym, but there are other factors he needs to consider. Dex says, if Sonny hires him, Sonny will what he brings. There’s a knock at the door, and Frank lets Brando in. Brando says, Sonny is having a meeting; he’ll wait outside. Sonny says, the meeting is over, and introduces Brando to Dex. He tells Frank that Dex is going to have an espresso at the bar; he’s going to wait. Dex thanks Sonny, saying he appreciates Sonny’s time. He leaves, and Sonny tells Brando, close the door. He says he heard about the accident; how’s Sasha? Brando says, emotionally, she’s fine, but emotionally, she just… She just began to deal with losing Liam and then this happened. Sonny says, it’s tough, but Brando’s helping her cope, right? Brando says he’s trying. Sasha thinks she has to be strong for him, and he can’t get through her defenses. That’s why he’s here. He hopes Sonny knows what to do.

Sasha joins Gladys, and says she thought they were going to meet at the office. It’s a little early for happy hour; they’re still on the clock. She sees the memory card in Gladys’s hand, and says, she still has it. Gladys says she was thinking of flushing it down the toilet. Sasha flashes back to flushing her pills down the toilet, and says, don’t. Gladys says, why not? and Sasha says, because the jerk wants it back. Gladys says she bets he does. Give her one good reason to say yes.

Jordan says, she cares about Curtis, but it’s not like she has feelings for him that way, like she did when they were married. She loves him, but… feel free to help her out of the hole she’s digging here. He says he gets it. She doesn’t want him to get so caught up in Marshall’s past that he crosses the line. She says, if it happened, she wouldn’t be able to look the other way, and he says he wouldn’t ask her to. She says, as long as they’re clear, and he says, they are. She asks if it was worth whatever price he paid to find out what he wanted to know about Marshall, when TJ comes along, and says, Marshall? What about him?  

Nina tells Diane that she’s only doing this because she cares about Wiley. She’s not going to allow Wiley’s parents to deprive him of someone who loves him, and who he loves, especially now that Harmony is gone. Scotty says he’ll put it simply. If they go ahead with Smoltz’s hatchet job, it’s open season on Harmony. Diane says, and make Willow yet another innocent victim of Harmony? By all means, be her guest. Nina says, Willow is hardly an innocent victim. She refuses to stand up to Michael over and over again, and would cut Nina out of Wiley’s life without batting an eyelash. Diane says, perhaps Nina’s attorney neglected to tell her this – no surprise – but Michael and Willow are Wiley’s parents, and it’s their legal obligation, not to mention their moral and sacred duty to do what’s in the best interest for that child; while Nina has a documented and provable history of emotional and mental instability. If she’d like to avoid further embarrassment and public humiliation, withdraw that claim. Nina says, let her make this perfectly clear. If Michael and Willow insist on dragging her through the mud, she’ll return the favor, and drag them right along with her.  

Willow asks if there’s something her mom told Carly before she died; something she should know. Carly says, she thinks Dante’s right. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered. Dante says he’d like Willow to take a DNA  test; that way, they can rule out any blood relation to Harmony. Michael says, that makes sense, but Willow’s been through the wringer. Can’t it wait for a while? Dante says, it can, but if they want answers, the sooner Willow takes it, the better. Willow says, Michael is right. She needs time to digest everything she’s learned. Dante says he’ll check in tomorrow. He’s sorry to be the bearer of bad news. He leaves, and Carly says she’s going to take off too. Michael asks if she’s going to be okay, and she hugs him, saying, yeah. It’s been a crazy day. Stay strong for Willow. She hugs Willow, and says, the answers will come when she’s ready. She told Harmony that she would protect Willow, and she will. She leaves, and Willow wonders, protect her from what?

Dex tells Frank that he recognizes Brando from the gym. He’s Mr. Corinthos’s nephew? Frank says, cousin, and Dex says, Mr. Corinthos is famous for his coffee and his loyalty. He admires both.

Brando apologizes for imposing, but Sonny says, Brando can always come to him. Lesson number one. He’s family, and his troubles are Sonny’s troubles. Brando says, and vice versa. What’s lesson number two? Sonny says, when you love someone, don’t wait for them to come to you. Sasha’s in pain. Let her know he’s not scared; he’s not looking for a way out. Brando says, you take the good and the bad, just like he said in his marriage vows, and Sonny says, absolutely. Putting her first, Brando can’t go wrong. She’s going to say she’s okay, and Brando has to trust that and respect her, but if there are any warning signs, do not ignore that. Brando says, he’ll make sure Sasha knows that if she falls, he’ll catch her. Sonny says, if he does that, he can’t go wrong.

Sasha tells Gladys, the memory card has all the photographer’s photos on it, not just hers. Maybe if they give it back, he’ll leave them alone. Gladys says, as long as she has this card in her hand, they’re in the driver’s seat… pardon the expression. Gladys glances at Valentin, and says, Sasha makes her son happy, and what makes him happy, makes her happy. So if there’s something else interfering with Brando’s happiness, Gladys will protect her. Which means Sasha can trust her with anything. I’m wondering why they don’t just erase the incriminating photos and give the card back. Duh.

Jordan hugs TJ, and says, as much as she’d love to stay and chat, his uncle has something he wants to talk to him about. When was the last time he slept? He looks tired. He says he was all set to go home, Britt okayed it, and they got slammed, so he stayed. She says she admires his dedication, but don’t forget to take care of himself. He tells her that Britt just said the same thing, and Molly is board, and she says she needs to get back to her own job. She hugs him again, and leaves, and TJ asks what Curtis was saying about Marshall. Curtis says he ran into Jordan by accident, but he wanted to talk to TJ about his grandfather. TJ says, Curtis saved him a trip. There’s something he wants to show him.  

Jordan waits for the elevator, when Dante comes out. He says he just came from seeing Willow. He tried to break the news to her gently. Jordan asks if she agreed to give him a DNA sample to prove she’s not Harmony’s biological daughter, and he says, no; he got pushback from Michael. She says she doesn’t blame him. Willow needs time to grieve and process. Maybe they’ll be more open to it tomorrow. In the meantime, she has a more pressing job for him. He asks, what’s more pressing than proving Harmony wasn’t Willow’s biological mother? and she says, finding out who was.

Scotty says, he’s sure it’s not going to come down to mutually shared destruction, will it? but Diane says, if Nina wants to fight to the bitter end, so be it. She’ll find a new salon. Nina says, wait. Wiley needs all of his family, now more than ever. She understands Willow’s whole world was shattered, but don’t punish that little boy because of Willow’s pain. Diane says, Nina seems to think depriving Wiley of her presence would be a punishment; the court may not agree. She leaves, and Scotty tells Nina not to let Diane get to her. Nina says, he’s right. She’s the barracuda, but whatever Michael is paying her to drive Nina out of Wiley’s life, he’s wasting his money. Scotty says, it sounds to him like it’s all-out war, and she says, it is. He says, good. Then she’s changed her mind. She says, about what? and he says, Sonny. She’s got to let him put Sonny on the stand.  

Michael says, it sounds like Harmony wanted his mom to protect Willow from the truth about all the lines she crossed. Willow says, Harmony was probably delirious; most end-of-life patients are. She couldn’t prevent the truth from coming out. But now that she knows Harmony wasn’t her birth mother… Nanny Melanie comes in with Wiley, who runs to Willow. Melanie says, someone misses his mommy, and Willow says, not half as much as his mommy misses him.

On the phone with Martin, Valentin says he was hoping Drew would wait before showing an interest in ELQ. Martin’s girlfriend promised him her vote to support him as CEO, but her vote only counts as a tiebreak, so he’s afraid his days are numbered. Carly approaches, and says, bad news? and Valentin says, just business; nothing life threatening. He heard about Harmony Miller’s incident. He’s glad Carly wasn’t harmed. She thanks him, and he says he imagines Willow is badly shaken. She sits down, and asks why he would care about that.  He says, she was his daughter’s third grade teacher, and after a rocky start, Willow was actually good for Charlotte. Carly says, that doesn’t surprise her; Willow’s a wonderful person. He says, who is now grieving her mother, and facing a prolonged court battle with Nina, but it doesn’t have to be that way. She says, Nina got to him, and he says, imagine if they got their priorities straight. Carly could lead the way by making peace with Nina.

Brando asks if Sonny’s learned any more about the attempted robbery at Charlie’s, but Sonny says, that’s not Brando’s concern. Take care of Sasha, and he’ll take care of everything else. He glances at Dex.

Sasha thanks Gladys for looking out for her, but doesn’t she think returning the memory card would be a gesture of good faith? Maybe one day he’ll return the favor. She’s got to get back to work, and so should Gladys. Gladys says, after she finishes her drink, and Sasha leaves.

TJ comes back with the clarinet case, and Curtis says, isn’t that…? TJ says, Marshall’s? He knows. He opens it, and hands Curtis the note, saying, this is from him too. Curtis reads: I wanted to leave you a gift, but all I have to offer is this gift of music. Like you said about surgery, it’s part of one great unfinished symphony. Your loving grandfather. TJ asks if Curtis knows what it means, and Curtis says, it means TJ’s grandfather left town because of him.

Dante says, before he can find Willow’s birth mother, he needs to know more about Harmony, and Jordan tells him to start digging into Harmony’s background before she moved to Port Charles. Somewhere out there a mother’s missing her daughter.

Nina tells Scotty, nothing has change. Leave Sonny out of it, but Michael is fair game. He says, only Michael? and she says, and Willow. Willow has the keys to unlocking the door that’s blocking her access to her grandson. What is the saying? When someone looks too good to be true… He says, they’re usually not, and she says, there must be something about Willow that they can uncover. She wants him to keep digging until he finds it.

Carly asks Valentin, what is it about Nina that makes otherwise rational men come to her defense? He asks when the hurting stops. When do they stop attacking one another, and get on with their lives? She says, he should ask Nina that question. She kept Sonny from his family for nine months, and then she slept with him. Now she’s petitioning the court for visitation with Carly’s grandson. He says, Wiley is Nina’s grandson as well, and from her perspective, Carly cost her a daughter, so why don’t they just end this?

Wiley asks why Willow is crying. Does she have a boo-boo? Willow says, they’re happy tears, because she’s sitting here with him and his daddy, the two most important men in her life. Michael says he thinks Annabelle II misses Wiley, and suggests he go back to the house with Melanie, and he and mommy will meet him there soon. Wiley leaves with Melanie, and Willow says, Wiley is lucky. He’s young, and barely knew his Grandma Harmony. Whatever pain he feels at not seeing her will heal. Michael takes her hand, and says, and hers? She says she doesn’t know. She just keeps asking the same question. If Harmony isn’t her birth mother, who is?

On Monday, TJ asks Curtis if it was worth losing his father; Cameron tells Spencer that he needs to know the hell he’s been catching is worth it; Nina tells Ava, this time it’s on her orders; and Esme intends to be happy.

May your special day be everything you want it to be. Until we Fear, stay safe, stay distinctive, and stay not waiting for someone you love to come to you if they’re in pain. What I Watched Today

General Hospital

At The Savoy, Michael tells Willow that her exams are behind her and it’s time to celebrate. He’s barely seen her, and Wiley missed her goodnight story and kiss last night. He told Wiley that she was learning to save people’s lives like a real life superhero. She looks unhappy, and he tells her not to be upset; she’s definitely the cool parent. She says she’s not a superhero or even a cool parent. She messed up.

Sonny lets Nina into the penthouse, and she thanks him for seeing her. He says she told him it was important, and she asks how he’s feeling. He says, it’s the anniversary of his sister’s death. Don’t worry about it. He didn’t go on any benders. Is that why she’s here? Is she checking up on him? She says, they have to talk, and he says he’s not a fan of those four words. (I don’t think any man is.) She says, it’s about their grandson.

At The Savoy, Diane says, judging from her exterior only, she’s guessing all is right again in Alexis’s world. Alexis says, let’s not get excited. Everything’s fine. Surprisingly, she’s enjoying her job. Diane says, Alexis Davis, editor-in-chief, suits her, and Alexis says, better than her last career as a drunk with intent to murder. She’s gotten by with a lot of help from her friends, Diane and Harmony, who she invited to join them. Be nice.

Maxie comes into the hospital carrying the box of Peter’s belongings, and Austin says, she made it. She says she told him she’d be there, and he says she did, but he thought now that Bailey was back, Maxie would want to spend as much time with her as possible. Maxie says, lesson number one, she means what she says, and he says, good to know. Are there other lessons? She says he’ll find out, and he says he can’t wait. It’s nice to see her. She says, him too, and they almost kiss, but Mac clears his throat. Maxie turns around, and Mac is there with Felicia.

At the MetroCourt, Robert tells Anna, Mac just texted; he and Felicia are on their way. It gives them a chance to catch up. He hasn’t seen too much of her lately. She says she’s been busy, and he asks if that’s code for I’m trying to avoid you. Or is she simply getting used to living with Peter’s ghost.

On the phone, and pressing the elevator button repeatedly, Gladys says she knows Brando is getting married. Don’t do anything without talking to her first. The elevator opens, and Carly comes out. Gladys says, thank God, and Carly asks, what’s going on? Gladys says, Brando’s about to make the biggest mistake of his life, and Carly is going to help her stop it.

At Bliss Street Auto Repair, Brando tells Sasha, he’s been back there for a while. He doesn’t think the guy knows what he’s doing. She tells Brando, go check on him. He doesn’t have to babysit her. He says he’s not babysitting her; he’s keeping her company. She says, then let the man do his job. He says he will. All he’s saying is that the man should have fixed the car by now. She says, the chapel will still be there when they say the car is ready, and he says, then they get to say I do. He can’t wait. She says, neither can she, and they hug.

Gladys says, please tell her Carly got the jet in the divorce, and Carly asks, what’s going on with Brando? Is he okay? Gladys says, Brando’s the farthest thing from okay. He and Sasha are getting married. Carly says, that’s it? and Gladys says, what does she mean, that’s it? They’re eloping tonight. Carly says, Brando and Sasha went through something no parent should have to go through, and it’s not like they’re doing something dangerous. Gladys says, marriage is dangerous. Carly of all people should know that. If she won’t help, Gladys bets Sonny will. She turns and nearly runs over the hostess, and Carly says Gladys has been drinking. Gladys says she’s fine. She had one or two, maybe three. Carly says she’s not letting Gladys go anywhere like this. She’ll drive Gladys to Sonny’s herself. Let’s go. Gladys says, that’s cool, but she’s going to have to floor it. They get in the elevator.

Sonny says, what about Michael and Wiley? Everything all right? Nina says, Wiley is fine. She just thought Sonny deserved a heads up. She’s suing for visitation. He asks, why? and she says, she and Willow had a little chat, and Willow says she doesn’t see a path for her to have any access to Wiley, so she told Willow that she’s going to exercise her legal rights as Wiley’s grandmother. Michael hasn’t told Sonny that? Sonny says he hasn’t talked to Michael, and she says, which means Willow hasn’t told him yet, but Sonny says, Michael’s still not talking to him. She says she’s sorry to put him in this position, and he says he doesn’t blame her for doing what she feels she needs to for her family, but she can’t do that.

Diane says, yay, Harmony’s coming. When did that happen? Alexis says, Harmony just texted her. She’s having a hard time, so Alexis texted her back, and asked her to join them. Temp Harmony (see below) walks in, and thanks them for including her on their girls night out. She tells Alexis that she looks great, and Alexis asks if she had a tough day at Spring Ridge. Harmony says, tougher than usual, and Diane says they all have those, right? What is she drinking? The first round’s on her. Alexis tells Harmony to relax. She’s in a much better place than she was on New Year’s Eve. Harmony says, in that case, she’ll have one of those cocktails The Savoy is famous for. Diane says, two outrageous cocktails and one sparkling water coming right up. She goes to the bar, and Harmony says, there must be ice skating in hell. Alexis asks what that means, and Harmony says, that was one of the most positive interactions she’s had with any of Alexis’s friends. Alexis says, Diane is drama free. She looks at Michael and Willow, and says, speaking of drama free… Harmony supposes she should go say hi, and gets up.

Michael brings Willow a drink, and tells her, take a breath, take a sip of her drink, and tell him how she thinks she messed up. She says she knows she messed up, when Harmony approaches the table, and says what a nice surprise. She’s here with Diane and Alexis, and thought she’d say hi. Willow says she’s been meaning to call, and thanks Harmony again for dropping off her birth certificate. Harmony says, her pleasure. Now the two of them can enjoy that trip to Paris. Michael says, Willow definitely deserves a celebration and a break. She took exams yesterday. Harmony is sure Willow sailed through it.

Maxie asks how Mac’s check-up was, and Felicia says, couldn’t have gone better. Mac’s gunshot wound is healing perfectly, but Maxie isn’t getting off the hook that easily. She and Austin are an item now? Maxie says, it’s new, and Mac says, they look forward to getting to know him better. Felicia says, as much as they’d like to stay and chat, they have a prior engagement. Call her later. She hugs Maxie, and Maxie says, only if Felicia promises to behave herself, but Felicia says, no promises. She says it was a pleasure seeing Austin again, and Mac gruffly says he’s sure they’ll be seeing more of him. They leave, and Maxie laughs, saying, she’s so sorry about that. He says, no, it’s great. He guesses Maxie Jones lesson number two is that she’s really close to her family, and that might take some getting used to. She says, something like that, and he says, no problem. What’s in the box? She says, something she was hoping he could help her with. She needs to get rid of Peter.

In the elevator, Mac asks what they really think about that, and Felicia says, personally, she thinks it’s too soon for Maxie to be in a relationship with someone new. But she’s a grown woman, living her own life. Mac says, they’ll keep an eye on her, and him. If Dr. Gatlin-Holt gets out of line, he’ll smush him like a bug.

The mechanic comes out, and tells Brando, the car needs a new fuel pump, but he can’t get the pump in until tomorrow morning. Sasha says, so they’re stuck here all night, but Brando says, not necessarily. A busted fuel pump can be jerry-rigged; he’s done it a bunch of times in emergencies. The mechanic says he’s welcome to take a look, and Brando goes in the back with him. Sasha takes the pills out of her purse. She sees she doesn’t have much left, and gets out her phone, but there’s no service. She flashes back to Brando telling her that they’re on a back road that runs alongside the river, and if you listen hard, you can hear wedding bells. He says, those bells are ringing for another couple, and she says, soon, they’ll be ringing for them… and for Liam. His brief life will have meaning because he will know, and the whole world will know, he was born out of love. She takes another pill, and Brando says, Sasha?

Robert tells Anna, August bonded everyone by leaving no one unscathed. If she finds herself waking up at night with guilt problems, reach out. She has plenty of support system out there. Don’t ever forget, Peter and Peter alone did all the damage. She takes his hand and thanks him, and says, there’s someone else to blame other than Peter. The man who helped him escape; the man who may have murdered Luke. He says, Victor Cassadine, and she says, one nightmare ends, and another one begins.

Maxie tells Austin, Peter named Britt executor, and his personal effects were given to her, and Britt didn’t want them, so she offered to dispose of them. Does he think he can help her with that? He says, no problem, and she thanks him. He leans in for a kiss again, but Obrecht yanks him back, saying, how dare he come near her dear Maxie after everything he’s put her through? She puts her arm around Maxie, and says, don’t worry, liebchen. She promised Dr. Gatlin-Holt that he’d answer to her for betraying Maxie, and she always keeps her promises.

At the bar, Diane watches the room, and Harmony asks if Willow was able to get her passport. Willow says, not yet. She has an appointment.  They just want to see her birth certificate, and have her fill out an application. After that, they’ll expedite her passport. (It’s not quite like that, but okay.) Michael says he’s sure it will be fine. He and Willow aren’t anticipating any problems.

Diane sits back down, and Alexis says, let’s have a good time. She’s in the mood for some fun. Diane says, she’s in luck, because a very attractive man at the bar cannot take his eyes off her. Alexis says, what? No. The man approaches their table, and says he knows he’s being incredibly bold, but he could help noticing Alexis. He’d like to buy her a drink. Diane says, he may, but Alexis says she already has a drink. He says, maybe some other time, and Diane face palms. She says she just wants to shake Alexis. Alexis said she wanted some fun, now go get it.

Nina tells Sonny, she’s sorry, but the only way she’ll have access to Wiley is if she goes to court. He says, let him lower the temperature with Michael before she resorts to anything drastic. She says she really appreciates the offer, but she’s not sure how much luck he’s going to have. Even if he convinces Michael that she can see Wiley, there’s Carly. He says, Michael’s his own man and makes his own decisions, and she says, that may be true, but Carly’s influence carries a lot of weight. And once Carly finds out Sonny is helping her with Wiley, she’ll be on the warpath. He says, he and Carly are done. It was her choice. She cannot get mad at him for wanting to help his grandson. Nina asks if they’re talking about the same woman, because honestly, Nina is surprised Carly hasn’t come after her already. There’s a knock at the door, and Sonny opens it to Carly and Gladys. Carly sees Nina, and smiles.

Austin says he doesn’t know how many times he has to apologize to Obrecht, but he’s sorry, he’s sorry, he’s sorry, he’s sorry. He should never have trusted Victor. Obrecht says, he was so obsessed with targeting Brook that he blabbed to that fiend in a tailored suit. Of course (🍷) he took the information straight to Peter, letting that schwein know Bailey was really his daughter Louise. He says he made his amends. She put the bug on Victor, and he had to listen to that guy talking for hours and hours and hours, trying to pinpoint where Peter had taken Maxie. Obrecht says, he was scrambling to correct his egregious mistake talking to Victor. He hurt Maxie and her baby, and for her, that’s personal. That requires a different kind of penance. Maxie says she really does appreciate Obrecht looking out for her… Obrecht says she’d do anything for Maxie, and Maxie takes Austin’s arm and says, then she wants Obrecht to forgive him.

Alexis tells Diane, her idea of fun does not include that man, nor does it include any man for that matter. Diane says, it’s been far too long since Alexis had any romance in her life. He seemed nice. Alexis says, so did Neil. So did Julian. One died in her bed, and the other one almost chopped her head off. Diane says, Julian never seemed nice. One of these days, Alexis will have to open herself up to love. The right guy is going to come along, and she’s never going to know it. Alexis says she’s not interested in a relationship, when Harmony comes back. She asks what she missed.

Willow says, after all her lectures about co-existing and keeping the peace… Michael says, so this is about Nina, and she says she ran into Nina at the hospital. He says he’s sure that was a laugh a minute, and she says, Nina asked if she could spend time with Wiley. He says, after his mother just caught her in bed with his father, and Willow says, that was pretty much her reaction. He asks how she thinks she messed up, and she says, Nina caught her off guard, especially since not five minutes before, they were talking about how Nina withholds information. Carly and Sonny are in the middle of a divorce, and Nina’s timing was terrible. She snapped. He says, to be honest, he would have loved to see her go off on Nina; it would have made his day, his week. She says, she pushed Nina too far. Nina told her that she’s going to exercise her legal right to visitation with Wiley. He tells her, don’t worry. They’ll shut her down. That woman isn’t getting anywhere near their son.

Gladys says she’s sorry for crashing their date, and Nina says, it’s not a date. Gladys says she needs Sonny’s help; Brando and Sasha are eloping. They’re on the Canada side of Niagara Falls. Please call his people and have them fire up the jet. They may already be too late. He says he knows she wants to be at her son’s wedding, but if Brando and Sasha are eloping, they probably want to do it alone. She says she doesn’t want to be at their wedding; she wants to stop the wedding. They’re in no state to make a decision like this. She needs to talk to Brando before he ruins his life. Carly says, it’s not her choice to make, and Gladys asks if none of them is worried the least little bit. Brando and Sasha are still grieving their baby. How do they figure they’re capable of entering into marriage? Nina says, Gladys has a point. They owe it to Brando and Sasha to make sure they’re getting married for the right reasons.

Sasha asks, what’s the verdict? and Brando tells her, it’s like Vern said; the pump is shot. She says she was thinking they could get a Ride Share and still make it to the chapel before it closes, but she has no cell service. Brando says, neither does he, and Vern says, the service can be spotty out here. They’re welcome to use the garage phone to call a cab. He’ll place the order for a new fuel pump. Brando tells Sasha, as much as they wanted to get married today, maybe it’s best if they do it in Port Charles, with all of their family and friends… She says, no, and he asks, what’s going on? Is there something she needs to tell him about? She says, it’s just that she has this feeling, if they don’t get married tonight, they never will, and she’ll lose him. He says she’ll never lose him, but she says, he can’t promise that. He says he can and will. He’ll marry her tomorrow in a courthouse or a treehouse, a swamp. Wherever there’s an ordained minister and a witness, that’s where he’ll say his I dos. Vern says, excuse him. He couldn’t help overhearing. He’s actually ordained. Brando says, he can marry them? and Sasha says, today? Vern says he’ll call his wife Lorna and she can be their witness. As long as they don’t mind getting married in a garage. Sasha and Brando look at each other, and say, it’s perfect.

Robert says, if Victor killed Luke, that can only mean one thing. Luke figured out what Victor was up to. Felica says, whatever that is, and Mac says, if the Cassadines and the Ice Princess are involved, that spells trouble for the rest of them. Anna says, somehow, Drew Cain is the key. Drew, Sam, and Dante are trying to trap Victor into exposing whatever it is he’s up to. Robert asks, what if they’re unsuccessful? and Felicia says she and Anna have a plan of their own.

Harmony suggests she go, so Diane and Alexis can work out whatever tension is between them, when Michael comes by and asks if he and Willow can talk to Diane for a minute. Diane says, absolutely, and goes back to his table with him. Harmony says, none of her business, but if Alexis need an ear, she’s happy to lend one. Alexis says, a very nice man offered to buy her a drink, and she said she wasn’t interested, and then Diane goes off and starts talking about her love life, or lack thereof. She does it all the time. Harmony says, let her guess. Alexis overreacted. Alexis makes a gesture meaning a little bit, and Harmony says she spent her life following people who thought they had the answers. The truth is, no one does. Alexis is the only one who knows what’s right for her. She’s sure Alexis has asked herself these questions about romance a hundred times, and came up with the answer based on her experience. She doesn’t want to date? Then that’s the answer, and it’s perfectly okay.

Carly says, Sasha is fragile since she lost the baby. She puts on a tough front, but she’s still struggling. Sonny says, Brando’s still raw, but even though he and Sasha are acting impulsively, they’re good for each other; they’re strong for each other. Carly agrees, and Gladys says she can’t believe she’s hearing this. Nina is close to Sasha. Tell her that she agrees they have to stop the wedding. Nina says, she’s sorry, but after listening to Sonny and Carly, she agrees with them. Carly rolls her eyes, and I want to smack her. Nina says, Sasha and Brando are adults; they make their own choices. And they have a strong relationship. They’re bonded by shared loss. Carly says, Brando and Sasha are grieving together, so they have to trust getting married was the right decision for them. Gladys says, if Sonny isn’t going to lend her the jet, she’ll just rent a helicopter, and Sonny says, wait. He knows her first instinct is to protect her son. Nina says, Gladys can’t make those choices for him, and Carly says, as parents, they have to sit back and let their kids live their lives. Gladys says, so that’s what they all would do in her shoes? and Carly says, yep, and Nina says, afraid so. Sonny says, it’s the hardest thing about being a parent, but it’s got to be done. Gladys says she guesses she’s just not like them. Doing nothing is not in her vocabulary. Nina says, she’s not doing nothing, and Carly says, Brando is always going to need her love and support. She can give him that by letting him do what he needs to do. Sonny says, you just got to be there for him, and whatever comes next.

Outside Bliss Street Auto Repair, Brando says, ready? and Sasha says, ready. Lorna puts on the Wedding March, and Sasha walks out in a super pretty white dress with red flowers on it, carrying a bouquet. Where she got it, who knows? Vern says, they’re gathered here today to join Brando and Sasha in holy matrimony. As they embark on their journey as partners through life, the vows they exchange are their sacred pledge to each other; a contract bound by love. Brando says, they actually didn’t have time to write their vows, and Sasha says, they just jumped in the car, and headed for the nearest chapel. Vern asks if they’d prefer the traditional vows, or would they like to speak from the heart? Sasha says, they’d like to… and Brando says, speak from the heart.

Robert says, don’t keep them in suspense; what’s the plan? Anna says, Victor can’t achieve his objective if he’s in prison, and Felicia says, which means they need to prove Victor murdered Luke. Anna says she’s going to Austria to get proof, and Mac asks where Felicia fits in. Felicia says, they have to make sure Victor doesn’t catch on. If Anna goes to Austria alone, he’ll be suspicious. Anna says, Felicia is coming as her cover, and Mac says, absolutely not. Felicia says, hey! He doesn’t get to tell her what she can and cannot do. He says he’s grateful she rescued Maxie, but he still has nightmares about Peter running her car off the road. She can’t take that risk again. Felicia says, Mac can’t go with Anna. His recovery is coming along nicely, but he’s not fully healed. Robert says, they know what Victor is capable of. Maxie brought home her daughter, and needs Felicia. Felicia’s granddaughter needs her. Felicia says she knows, and she loves being with them, but she and Anna decided that going together would draw the least amount of suspicion. Anna says, they’ll say they’re going to be debriefed about the circumstances surrounding Maxie’s escape, and Peter’s subsequent death. Felicia says, and  to draw the least amount of suspicion, they’ll rent a car and drive to Innsbruck. Anna says, she’ll start the investigation into the tram accident, and Felicia says, Anna is doing the investigation? She knows she’s Anna’s cover, but she can’t be expected to sit around in the hotel room while Anna does all the work. Mac says, he’s in awe of how Anna took down Peter, but Felicia isn’t trained as a field agent. Victor is ruthless. Anna says, they’re going to an office to look at transportation records. If anything even remotely suspicious happens, she’ll get them out of there ASAP. Robert says, they all know what Victor is capable of, but they owe it to Luke, his family, friends and community, to stop him.

Brando says, Sasha has the most kind and generous heart of anyone he’s ever known, all wrapped up into one fierce shell. He’s seen how she fights for those she loves, and he’s honored that she’s chosen to spend the rest of her life with him. He promises to spend the rest of his life loving her and being her partner, whatever may come. He loves her. She says she admits, at first she didn’t know what to think of him, but something undeniable drew her to him, and she learned how brave and selfless he is. He saved her life in so many ways. She was used to being on her own, and looking out for herself, but in him, she’s found the perfect complement to her life. He’s truly her partner, and she’s so thankful she found him.

Maxie says, Austin is in her life now, and it would be easier for all of them if Obrecht would just accept that. Obrecht says, for Maxie, she will agree to co-exist with Dr. Gatlin-Holt. If he makes another mistake, he won’t live to regret it. He says he thinks she means to say, he will live to regret it, but she says, no, she didn’t.  

Brando puts Sasha’s ring on her finger, and says, with this ring, I thee wed, and Sasha does the same with him. Vern says, by the power vested in him, he pronounces them husband and wife. Brando may kiss his bride. And he does. A lot.

Michael says, Nina insists under New York state law, she has the right to see Wiley, but Diane says, Nina is mistaken. The statute Nina is referring to stipulates that if one of the biological parents is dead – in this case, Nelle – the biological grandparent has standing to file for visitation. So Nina has the right to bring her petition in front of a judge, but all that guarantees her is a hearing. She still has to convince the judge to give her access to Wiley. Michael says, but they can argue against it, and Diane says, correct. He says, if she files, he wants Diane to shut her down. Diane says, nothing would give her more pleasure, and Willow says, she was in favor of compromise, but it’s not possible with Nina. She’s repeatedly asked to see Wiley under what amounts to false pretenses. They can’t trust her. Diane says, which is why they need to keep this out of court. The downside is simply too risky. Michael’s a strategist, so think strategically. He’ll have more options if he keeps this out of court. He says, if Nina does file, they should be prepared, and Diane says she’ll delve into case law. In the meantime, her best advice is, do not engage. She’ll call them tomorrow, but for tonight, here’s some unsolicited advice. Push Nina from their thoughts, and enjoy the rest of their evening. She leaves, and Willow says she’s sorry she started this, but Michael says, no, Nina started this, but they’re going to be the ones to finish it.

Sasha says, they did it, and Brando says, it’s real now. She says, speaking of reality, he should call his mother and give her the good news. Vern says they can use the landline inside, and they go in. Brando makes the call.

Sonny asks what Gladys says. Does she want to give her son a chance at his own life? Her phone rings, and it’s Brando. He says he’s in Canada. He and Sasha decided to elope. Gladys fights back tears, and asks him to put her on speaker. He does, and she says, Brando and Sasha, you have all my blessings for a happy life. They thank her, and she says, come home soon, so she can congratulate them in person. He says they will, and he loves her. She says she loves him too. Sonny tells her that she did right the thing, she touches his shoulder, and leaves. Carly thanks him for helping her with Gladys, and follows her.

Felicia asks if Mac is on board about her going to Austria with Anna, and he heaves a sigh. He says, she’s the one who found Maxie and took down Peter. He’d be crazy to think she couldn’t handle herself. Robert says, he and Mac will hold down the fort here, and hopefully keep Victor’s attention off the two of them. Felicia says she loves Mac, and gives him a kiss, telling him, don’t do anything to jeopardize his recovery. He says, aye-aye, captain. Be careful. Find out what Victor is up to, and put a stop to it. Anna asks if she’s ready to go to Austria, and Felicia says, you bet. She wants to see Victor in prison for helping Peter.

Austin says, they got the whole meet-my-family thing out of the way, and Maxie says, she’ll come around. He asks if she has any idea when, and she says, it’ll take a while, but don’t worry. Maxie’s opinion is the only one that matters. Now their real problem is, how do they get rid of Peter’s box? He says, well, this is a hospital, and hospitals are really good at disposing of toxic and hazardous waste. She says she knew he would have the answer, and he says, he does. Come on. It’s time she saw the morgue.

Diane sits back down, and Alexis says she’s sorry she snapped at her. She’ll buy the next round. Diane says, no need. She’s sorry she pushed. Alexis says, she meant well, and Diane says that Alexis is being so nice, and asks what Harmony said to her. Harmony says, she just supported Alexis’s decision, that’s all, and Alexis says, after Neil, she can’t, okay? Diane says she gets it. Alexis gave up her law license for him. Alexis says she thought he was more important than her law license, and he thought drugs were more important than her. Harmony says, that will leave a mark on you, and Alexis says, they all have marks. Let’s just lighten up. Debbie Downer has left the building. Harmony says, there may have been darkness in Alexis’s past, but now the light has returned, and she’s been given a new beginning. That’s something to celebrate. Alexis says, to the light, and Diane laughs. Alexis says she doesn’t know about them, but she’s going to dance.

Nina says, that could have been so much worse, and Sonny says, when someone’s right, Carly’s not afraid to admit it. She asks if Carly and Michael will admit that Wiley deserves to see his other grandmother, and he says, all he can do is try. She says she knows he can be very persuasive when he sets his mind on something, so she’ll put her legal action on hold if he thinks he can convince Michael to let her see Wiley. He thanks her, and says he thinks that works best for everybody. She says, what about Carly? Obviously she doesn’t know Nina threatened to go to court to see Wiley, but she will find out. He tells her to just lay low. He’ll see what he can do about Michael, and they’ll worry about everything else later. She says, he’s right. She’ll focus on the newlyweds.

Outside, Carly says, Gladys did good, and Gladys says, Carly should be nominated for sainthood. If she saw her ex with that woman, she’d rip her hair out and set it on fire. Carly says she’s not a saint. She’s just a woman movin’ on.

Sasha says, surprised? and Brando says, relieved. He asks if there’s a cab company he can call, and Vern says they’re pretty out of the way. It’ll take a while for a cab to pick them up. Lorna suggests Brando and Sasha stay with them tonight. They don’t have a spare room, but one of them can take the sofa, and the other a sleeping bag. (Ideal for a honeymoon!) Vern says, and he’ll be able to get the pump replaced early tomorrow. Sasha thanks them for their very generous offer, and says they accept. Vern asks Lorna to help him clean up, and give these honeymooners some privacy. They leave, and Sasha says, the first night of their honeymoon. She’ll flip him for the sofa. He says he’s truly sorry it didn’t turn out how they imagined, and she says, please don’t tell her that he already regrets marrying her. He says, no, never, but she deserves the world. He knows this wasn’t her fantasy elopement, but she says, it is her fantasy elopement. At the end of the day, he’s her husband. He says, and she’s his wife. She says, for the rest of their lives, and they kiss.  

Tomorrow, Brook asks Michael if Chase said he’s interested in her: Carly asks Josslyn to tell her what’s going on, and they’ll fix it; Esme says, show time; and Cameron tells Jake, don’t! as he’s about to do something on his phone.
