What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

General Hospital

Yep, it’s been that kind of week. I missed the very beginning, but nothing you can’t figure out.

Maxie tells James they need to have a talk about Peter. He’s moving in. She wants to tell James a secret. She loves Peter with all her heart.

Ned sees Franco on the terrace, and asks if he’s starting the treehouse. Franco says, there’s not a lot of time left. This morning might be all he has.

On the phone, Brook leaves a message, asking someone to call back already. She tells them not to get offended. Monica comes in, and asks if there’s something Brook wants to say. Brook says, yeah. She’s thought about it, and she didn’t steal the dinner, but who else would be motivated to do it? The kids are too young; her dad didn’t do it; Lulu was too busy fighting with her; and Olivia wouldn’t have done it. The only person unaccounted for is Monica, and Brook wants to know why.

At the hospital, Carly thanks someone for coming. Her brother’s doctor is great, but her mom doesn’t trust anyone like she does him, and it means a lot. We see she’s talking to Griff.

At home, Willow tells Chase that she forgot the dry cleaning, and forgot to tell him the wine guy called. He says the dry cleaning is in the closet, and he spoke to the wine guy. She says, then what? He says he could tell something was weighing on her. If it’s over, great. He’s not trying to get in her business, but if there’s a problem, he needs to know. She says, it is over, but she doesn’t know if it would have been a problem. It’s something they need to figure out.

Elizabeth tells Finn, whatever trouble Hayden is in, it was bad enough to leave Violet. Finn says there was a time when Hayden swore Elizabeth to secrecy. He gets that they’re sisters, but this isn’t about him; it’s about Violet. She says, if she’d heard anything, she would tell him. If Hayden reaches out to her, he’ll be the first to know. He thanks her, and she asks if he’s okay. He says he doesn’t want to mess this up. She says she knows Hayden loves Violet, and loves being a mom. The only way she would have left Violet is if she had absolute faith in him as a dad. He’s got this.

Sonny tells Jason that he knows Jason wants Sam home. Jason says the kids miss her. Danny is being brave for his sister, but it’s not fair to either one of them. Sonny gets it, but tells Jason that he has to wait. This has to be done clean. Jason says he’s doing everything he can to keep himself in check. He made a crucial mistake with Shiloh; more than once. He hoped Sam’s plan would work, and things would land the right way, but he can’t do that anymore. He has to take action. Sonny tells him, be careful.

There’s a knock at Maxie’s door, and she suggests she and James see who it is. It’s Peter, and Maxie tells him now that he lives there, he doesn’t have to knock. He tells her, old habits die hard, taking James from her and cuddling him.

Sonny says he didn’t know Carly called Griff, and she says, it was a last minute decision. Sonny tells Griff it’s good to see him, and asks how life is going. Griff says, it’s going. He’s with a group that travels to rural communities that are lacking medical care. He’s doing something he’s passionate about, and it’s helping him find his way. Sonny appreciates him coming when Carly called, and he says, Lucas was more than a colleague; he was a friend. Sonny says it’s good to have someone they trust. Griff says he’d like see the scans they’ve taken of Lucas.

Ned tells Franco that he’s kind to do this. Franco says, Oscar wanted it, and asked him and Jason to finish it. It’s one of the last things he can do as Drew for Drew.

Monica tells Brook that she wanted Drew to experience his one and only Quartermaine Thanksgiving, and see what his family would have been like if things were different. Brook knows well that they never serve turkey or get along. She had to insure that there was pizza and conflict. Brook says, so Monica stole the dinner and framed her, as a gift to someone who probably won’t remember it in a couple hours? Monica says she did. Olivia comes in, and says she owes Brook an apology. She ran into Epiphany who thanked her for the delicious turkey dinner the staff got on Thanksgiving. It occurred to her it probably wasn’t Brook who donated the food to the hospital. Monica says she can explain, but Brook says, Olivia’s apology is cool and all, but she did it.

Brook says she’s been gone a long time; she missed the family. Olivia says, so she swiped everything from Thanksgiving dinner. Brook says, it’s a Quartermaine tradition to have pizza. The turkey had to go, and she thought the staff at the hospital could use some real food. It felt like a way to kill two birds with one stone, literally. Olivia says, and it caused a family fight, and Brook says, also a Quartermaine tradition. She admits she did it, and she won’t apologize. She has no regrets. Olivia appreciates the sentiment, but thinks there was a better way to handle it. She could have asked Olivia to donate some food, instead of blindsiding her. Brook says, then they wouldn’t have had the huge epic family free-for-all. Olivia enjoyed it as much as she did. Olivia says Brook hasn’t seen the half of it. She leaves, and Monica tells Brook, very noble. What’s it going to cost her?

Ned’s phone rings. It’s Lois, and he says he has to take it. Franco picks up some boards, and says, see you later. Ned thanks Lois for calling back. He was hoping she could tell him what’s going on with their daughter.

At the MetroCourt, Robert tells Anna, something is off about Peter. Anna says, aside from Peter being Faison’s son? and Robert says if she wants to deny what’s in front of her face about Finn, that’s up to her, but if she denies what’s in her heart, it might come back to bite her.

Peter goes to the hospital, and finds Elizabeth. He says he wanted to check in with her. He knows Franco’s procedure is today. Elizabeth asks if he’s looking for a story, but he says, no. He and Maxie saw Andre, and he told them about it. Andre didn’t give details, but said one personality will cease to exist, so he felt compelled apologize for his part in starting the whole thing. She says Drew had no memory of the original procedure; what part could he have possibly played in it? None of it is his fault. He says he was there when Andre created the memory map of Drew. If he’d made different choices, Elizabeth wouldn’t be in the position she is. She says she’s been thinking about that, and she has no one else she can say this to…

Willow tells Chase, first, everything is fine, and there’s nothing to worry about, but for a few days, she thought she might be pregnant. He says, oh wow, and she says, oh wow good or oh wow bad? He says, oh wow, why wouldn’t she tell him?

Sonny is surprised Carly reached out to Griff. She says if Griff hadn’t been available, she would have been begging Patrick. Lucas’s doctor is great, but they don’t know him. They have no history with him, and they don’t know if he’ll be honest with them, and she needs that. Sonny says, until you know the truth of what you’re facing, it’s impossible to know the next step you need to take. Griff comes out, and says he saw Lucas, and went over all the tests. Carly says, it’s bad, isn’t it? and Griff says her brother’s condition is extremely serious.

Griff says the accident severely injured Lucas’s brain function. He’s responding to pain stimuli, and Griff likes that there’s activity, but the damage is severe. They’re really at the wait and see stage. He says, if it’s any reassurance, he went through every step, and there’s nothing he would change. Lucas has the best possible care. Carly says, it is reassuring. She’ll give her mom the update. She leaves, and Sonny says he appreciates Griff coming back. Griff says he thinks about Sonny all the time, and Sonny’s father. He asks how Mike is, and Sonny says he’s doing all right, but recently he slipped again. Griff is sorry to hear that, and Sonny says he knows Griff has a lot on his plate, but is there any way he can look at Mike’s labs? Sonny would feel more comfortable to hear what’s going on from Griff. Geez, never mind the mule, just load the wagon.

Anna tells Robert, they had this conversation before she left. She’ll always love him; they share a bond that can’t be broken, but don’t run her life. He says that’s not what he’s doing, and she says, it’s exactly what he’s doing. If he doesn’t like Peter’s father, he can’t be objective. Robert says, it’s more than Faison, and she says, if you dig deep enough, you can find the flaws in anyone. He needs to look at the positive. Peter is building a wonderful life, and Maxie loves him. He says, Maxie’s taste in men is suspect. Remember Spinelli? Anna says they’ll have to agree to disagree. For the sake of all the things they share, don’t push her on this. He says he won’t have to. She’s too smart not see the truth, especially when it’s staring her in the face. Violet runs up to them, and Finn and Anna smile at each other.

Lulu says she’s brought a housewarming present, since Peter is moving in. Maxie says Peter isn’t there, so they’ll open it when he gets back. She almost sets it down, then says she promises to rewrap it. She tells Lulu that both she and Peter put James down for a nap together. It was sweet. Peter read James a story, and it was so domestic. Then Chase walked in with his boxers on fire, and they put it out with a juice box. Lulu says, that’s nice, and Maxie asks, what’s up? Lulu says, Brook Lynn Ashton is back in town.

Brook says it’s not going to cost Monica anything. She’s happy to be home. Monica asks if anyone has told Brook how much she reminds them of her grandmother. Tracy was never nicer than when she was trying to cover up a disaster of her own making. She can’t wait to find out what Brook is up to. Brook asks if Monica doesn’t trust her, and Monica says, she’s a Quartermaine through and through. Of course, she doesn’t trust her.

Willow says she and Chase haven’t talked about having kids, and they’re using birth control, which must be working. She was late, so she took a pregnancy test. It was negative, so it turned into a non-situation. She realizes they’re in a relationship… Chase says, a serious relationship. Willow says, maybe it’s time to figure out how they feel about kids. He says, okay, and asks if she wants him to go first. She does, and he says what he can tell her is, when she said she thought she was pregnant, and found out she wasn’t, he felt two things at the same time – relief and disappointment.

Ned finds Jason inside, and asks if he’s looking for Monica. Jason says he’s looking for Ned. He needs a favor. He shows Jason a paper, and asks if he recognizes any of the names. Ned says he recognizes all three, but he’s had the most contact with Chip Jones; he’s an associate. Jason says he was hoping Ned could help him out with them. Ned assumes they’re a parole board, and Jason says, Sam’s hearing is tomorrow. Does Ned think they’ll be fair? Ned knows Jason doesn’t have faith in the justice system, but for what it’s worth, they’re decent, discerning guys. If Sam deals fairly with them, they’ll deal fairly with her. But having said that, he makes no guarantees. Jason appreciates the information. Ned says, if Jason isn’t busy, Franco is out back, finishing the treehouse. Maybe he could help.

Violet says she’s there for a treat, Robert suggests they go to the bar, and see what trouble they can get into. Violet asks if she can go, and Finn says he guesses they can trust this guy. He tells her, have fun, but not too much fun. He sits with Anna, and she says Robert is being a huge pain about Peter, when Peter is just trying to live his life. It’s so frustrating, and the worst part is, she lets it get to her. He’s been like this since the beginning of time. Why is it so difficult? She asks if Finn is listening, and he says, sorry; what? She asks if he’s all right, and he says he’s just looking at Violet having the time of her life.

Chase says he’s seen Willow with Wiley and the kids in her class, and knows she’d make an amazing mother. He can’t imagine anything more incredible than being parents together someday. But they’re not in the place – at least he’s not – where he’s ready to start a family. In some ways though, they’d be lucky if it just happened, and the decision was taken out of their hands. All they could do is love the kid. She smiles, and says she was thinking the same thing. They hug.

Lulu says Maxie can’t imagine how bitchy Brook was. Brook tried to seduce her husband, then called her out for not being supportive of Dante, and moving on with Dustin. Lulu told Brook, Dante abandoned her, and guess who walked in? Maxie says, not Olivia? and Lulu says the last thing she wanted was open warfare with Rocco’s grandmother, but that’s what Brook is going to cause.

Carly tells Sonny, when the best neurosurgeon says everything is being done right, that’s something. Sonny says he asked if Griff would look at his dad’s labs. Does she think that’s bad? She says she thinks it’s great.

Chase says, Willow’s turn, and Willow says, when she realized she was late, she thought about being pregnant. She felt mostly like him, that it’s not exactly the right time. In this period of their lives, they’re young, in love, and free, but at the same time, if it happens, it happens. If it’s not a decision they made, then it’s a happy accident. They would love the baby. She’s both sad and relieved, but what it made her realize is how much she really does want to be a mom, and she might be more ready than she thought she was.

Jason finds Franco on the terrace, and says he was just talking to Ned. Franco says, Oscar didn’t like leaving anything unfished, and Jason says he can finish it. Franco has his word. Franco says, if everything goes according to plan, he wants to thank Jason for saying it should be up to him. Jason says what he’s doing is a big deal. Franco means a lot to Elizabeth and the boys. Franco says he thought Jason couldn’t stand Franco, and Jason says, but Jake is different. He loves his son, and if Franco important to him, that’s just how it is. They wish each other good luck.

Lulu tells Maxie, the next time Brook launches a verbal grenade, she’s going to brush it off. Maxie suggests Lulu find out why Brook is throwing it; figure out what she’s covering up. Then she’ll have all the ammunition she needs. Maxie gets a call from her mom, and says, oh my God, is he okay? She asks if she can bring James over, and says she’ll drop him off on her way. Lulu says on her way where? and Maxie says, Lucas was in a car accident.

Elizabeth tells Peter that her head is all over the place. She’s scared, nervous, and hopeful. It’s what she wanted and pushed for; to get Franco back. Peter says Franco is her husband. She says, from the beginning, she knew there were one in four chances of the outcome she wants. Out of the other three, one is unthinkable, and the other two, he stays Drew. The odds aren’t good, and she’s preparing herself in case Franco doesn’t come back. She’ll need to find the courage to let him go.

On the phone again, Brook tells someone to stop calling. She’s sick of their harassment. Ned asks who’s harassing her, and she says, it’s nothing. He says, it didn’t sound like it; let him help. She tells him to leave her alone. Olivia comes in, and says, apparently, Lucas was in a serious car accident. Brook asks if he’s okay, but Olivia doesn’t know. He’s in a medically induced coma. (I might hazard a guess that that’s definitely not okay.) Brook jets, and Ned tells Olivia, Lucas and Brook were good friends in high school. He hopes Lucas is all right. Olivia agrees, and says it looked like she walked in on something kind of big. Ned says, not kind of; she did.

Griff tells Sonny, he went over Mike’s tests. It’s impossible to predict what will happen, but Mike is experiencing significant deterioration in his cognitive function. His condition is extremely complicated, but he doesn’t think Mike will recognize them or his current situation much longer. Carly says they’re approaching the end. Griff wishes that wasn’t the case, and Sonny says he’d give anything for more time. Whatever it costs, he’ll do it.

Griff says there’s a study on enzymes in Sweden. He can write a recommendation, but he’s not sure it will do Mike any good. His condition is too far along. Sonny asks, what’s money for? All the sacrifices he’s made, the long shots he’s been paid for. If he has the means, he’ll spend the money. Get Mike in, and Sonny will find out how to get him there.

Chase says, things just got real, and Willow asks if it scared him. He says, no. He’s happy they’re being honest. Willow says, if she’s honest with herself. She can’t say how much of her wants a baby, and how much is longing for Wiley. Knowing he’s in a happy home with two dads who love him; she did the right thing giving him up. Chase says it doesn’t mean she loves Wiley any less, and Willow says she doesn’t want to make the mistake of filling the void Wiley left. Any future child is theirs, and she wants to get it clear in her head before she thinks of getting pregnant. He takes her hands in his, and says he loves her. She’s beautiful and kind, courageous, and her nose crinkles in a cute way when she tastes something she doesn’t like. He knows what a great person she is, and what a great mom she’ll be. He’d like to have kids with her. Someday, when they’re more settled in their lives. He kisses her, and says, not to mention, the stage they’re in is not a bad place to be. They should enjoy it. They kiss.

Brook is already at the hospital when Maxie and Lulu arrive. She says now they show up. They wasted a trip, since it’s just immediate family. Lulu says Brook isn’t family; they’re his cousins. Brook says, like some people, she doesn’t jump ship when her loved ones are in trouble.

Olivia tells Ned, there’s no denying Brook is more like her mother now. He says that’s what he called Lois to find out. Olivia asks, what’s going on? and Ned says, it turns out, Brook is hiding something big.

Monica comes out on the terrace, where Jason is looking at the treehouse. She says, looks great, and  Jason says he added the door; Franco did the rest. She wishes they could have spent more time together. When Drew finally grasped the fact that he was living at the expense of Franco and the people who love him, he knew he couldn’t do it. It just wasn’t in him. He reminds her of Jason. Jason says, he did the right thing, and she says she’s going to miss him. Jason says, he knows, and puts his arm around her.

Franco comes out of the elevator at the hospital. He looks at Elizabeth.

Anna says, for all Robert’s faults – and he has many – he’s wonderful with children. He thinks he is one. When Robin was a little girl, it was like magic; shocking given what a curmudgeon he is. Finn goes over to where Robert and Violet are at the bar, and asks, what’s that? Violet says, a milkshake, and Finn says, before lunch? Robert says, milk is great for the bones. Finn says Robert is good with her, and Robert says, having a daughter is the greatest experience in his life. Plus, he’s pretty good with the women.

Peter blows through the MetroCourt, phone to his ear. Anna sees him, but he doesn’t see her. He goes into an adjacent hallway, and says they know what needs to be done. Kill Andre, kill Franco, eliminate them both. As long as the procedure doesn’t happen. He turns around, and Anna is there.

On Monday, Anna thinks there’s something on Peter’s mind, Valentin asks if Ava gave Nina anything useful, and Ava says, oh my God.

General Hospital

A mini-cap of GH’s Thanksgiving Day episode.

Mike went to Sonny’s for Thanksgiving. When Mike asked if Sonny had a good relationship with his old man, Sonny knew it wasn’t going to be a good day. He rolled with it, saying he and his father did have a good relationship, and Mike told him that you have to tell people how you feel before they’re gone. Life is too short for regrets. No doubt there was collective sobbing from viewers everywhere. It’s at the point where, when I see Mike is going to be in an episode, I figure I might as well just start crying.

Franco met with Andre, who said the memory mapping had been streamlined since he’d first worked on it, and he’d do everything he could to mitigate the risks. Franco told Elizabeth that he was having the procedure done tomorrow. Which will probably be Tuesday in our world.

Finn kept trying to call Hayden, but his calls all went to voicemail. When he checked Violet’s backpack for her doll, he found the letter Hayden left. She wrote that she was in the kind of trouble that could put Violet in danger, and she knew Violet would be safe with him. She asked him, please don’t come after her, take care of Violet, and make sure Violet knows, no matter what, her mother loves her. Finn showed the letter to Anna, and said that when Hayden is backed into a corner, she always runs. Anna told him that Hayden must be in serious trouble if she was leaving Violet. Anna didn’t think Hayden would have left Violet with Finn if there had been an alternative.

Kendra came by to see Alexis, who said she’d been given the all-clear from the hospital, but she was going to wait before going back to working with Kendra. Alexis also said she spoke quite a bit of Italian, and could order the supplement herself. Kendra wondered why Neil had given her the cold shoulder, and asked if Alexis was getting ready to fire her. Alexis said, no; she was just being vigilant. Later, Neil discovered that Alexis had checked herself out of the hospital. He told Julian that he’d accused Kendra of poisoning Alexis.

Michael picked up Wiley to go to the Quartermaine’s for Thanksgiving dinner. Brad begged off, saying he was coming down with something and didn’t want to get anyone sick. Michael didn’t believe it, and suggested it was because of Nelle, since his family knew about Brad going to her parole hearing. While this was going on, Julian sat outside in his car, obviously up to no good. After he saw Michael leave with Wiley, he cut the brakes to Brad’s car.

Lucas told Elizabeth about Brook Lynn being back, and said Elizabeth looked like she’d rather have a root canal than hear that news. Lucas decided he’d rather be home on Thanksgiving, and Elizabeth got his shift covered. Lucas went home, and told Brad that he was sick of fighting. He wanted to know what was going on, and what Brad was hiding.

Peter and Maxie went to Anna’s for Thanksgiving, where they saw Andre. Andre told them about Franco deciding to go through with the procedure. He said Franco realized that no matter how many memories of Drew’s he had, he wasn’t Drew; and there were people who loved Franco and missed him.

Sonny and Mike watched football, and it was all good until Mike wanted to hold Donna. Both Sonny and Carly overreacted, and Mike got the message they didn’t want him holding the baby. He ended up pushing Sonny into the table of appetizers. Mike was persuaded to take a nap upstairs, and Sonny asked Carly to call Turning Woods, saying his dad wasn’t safe at the house.

Kendra went to Kiefer’s grave with a gorgeous autumn flower arrangement. Alexis saw her, and waited for her to leave. When Kendra was gone, Alexis went over to look at the headstone. But Kendra wasn’t really gone, and whacked Alexis in the head with a rock, knocking her out.

On Monday, Lulu tells Brook that Dante abandoned her, Julian wonders why Kendra would target Alexis, and Sonny says he’s not going to be that guy. And maybe we’ll find out about the Quartermaine pizza. I’m a little miffed that they didn’t include that in the Thanksgiving episode.

No Dead this week, only Christmas movies, but some good ones. Saturday night is Elf, and on Sunday, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Christmas with the Kranks. Christmas Vacation holds a spot in my heart because my old acting teacher, William Hickey, plays the part of Uncle Lewis. And we all see where I am today. Just kidding. He was a phenomenal teacher.

General Hospital

Carly leaves a message for Jax, saying he has to call her. They have to discuss how far they’re going to cover for his houseguest. What affects him, affects Josslyn. They have to be on the same page with this. Sonny walks in, and says, sounds important. More secrets she’s keeping from him?

Stella goes to visit Mike at Turning Woods, and says, it’s good to see him. She just got back in town. It’s been a while, and she thought she’d come by to see him. He says he’s great, and thanks her for asking. He tells her that he’ll have a scotch/rocks. She says, he wants to order a drink? He says that’s why he came to the track. Have a couple of drinks, and play the ponies. She’s going to be in for a big tip. She says she’ll get his scotch. He says, make it a double. He’s feeling lucky.

Finn calls Anna from the hospital, and says he got called in on an emergency. He’s going to be a little late. She’s at the MetroCourt, and asks if he wants to just meet at the house. He says, no; he’ll be there. Jason is with her, and Anna tells him, Finn got held up at the hospital, so she has more time than anticipated. He says, to do what? and she says she needs his help solving a mystery.

Jax says, Nina wants to destroy Valentin? She says, yes. At least that’s what she thought she wanted.  Their big reconciliation was just an act. When Sasha confessed, she knew Valentin was behind it. It was too thorough; too perfectly executed. He lied to her about finding her daughter so she would forgive him. So the plan was, to give him a taste of his own medicine. See how he feels; to deceive him like he deceived her. Jax says he knew she was too smart to fall for Valentin’s lies.

Nikolas skulks around behind Valentin with a fireplace poker. The doorbell rings, and Nikolas is like, drat! and I laugh. Valentin answers the door to Hayden, and thanks her for coming on such short notice. He invites her in, but she says she doesn’t know why she came out there. She owes him nothing. She doesn’t work for him. He says, maybe they can find a way to change that.

Carly tells Sonny that she was leaving Jax a message. Sonny says he figured that. When she said they have to be a team, it was a giveaway. She says Jax called, but Jason was there. Did he hear about Sam? Sonny says, two years, but she could end up with community service. He’s been trying to call in favors. Carly says, Sam doesn’t belong in Pentenville. That’s why Jason was there. He doesn’t know what to tell the kids. Sonny isn’t surprised Jason was there, since he and Carly confide in each other. Did she tell Jason what she’s been keeping from him?

Anna tells Jason, there are still questions about Cassandra’s escape and probable death. And how he managed to turn up at the pier at the perfect time. He tells her that Cassandra and Sam were cellmates, and ended up on work detail with one another. Cassandra escaped, and he didn’t want Sam to be blamed. Cassandra is Valentin’s only known associate, and he thought Valentin would know where she’d run. Anna asks if Valentin seemed guilty, but he says, no. Nina was the one who got upset. Anna says, Charlotte had been abducted, and Jason says he assumes that was it. The only change in Valentin was when he got a phone call. He didn’t answer it, but it seemed like he wanted to. After that, Nina kicked him out. Anna wonders if it was Cassandra calling, and Jason says that’s what he was thinking. So he went to the pier to check, since it’s isolated. That’s where he ran into Charlotte, and Anna knows the rest. Anna says it’s no secret Cassandra was using Charlotte as leverage to negotiate with Valentin. Who else could supply a boat? And who else could wire the boat to explode?

Hayden asks if Valentin is offering her a job, but he says he’s offering to pay for information. She says, about what? and he says he’s caught her snooping around twice. Once when she was there with Jax for cocktails, and the nanny caught her. She says she got lost, and he says then Obrecht caught her going into the trophy room, where Helena’s portrait was. Hayden stammers, and Valentin says, tell the truth. Although he knows it’s a tough concept for her, she’ll earn a great deal of money if she does. What’s so important about the portrait?

Jax says Nina almost had him convinced she believed Valentin. She says, almost?  He says when they sat together that night, when she ran out of the wedding, he saw how much pain she was in, and she was pretty convinced Valentin was behind it. Nina tells him that she doesn’t remember half the things she said; she was so upset. He was very sympathetic while listening to her; he deserves a medal. He says he was trying to be a friend. What troubled him was her falling for Valentin’s lies. He knew she wasn’t that gullible. She says, no, she’s not, but he’s the only one who shares that opinion. No one else had trouble believing Valentin snowed her again. He says, that was the idea, wasn’t it? She says, it was part of the set up. To pull the rug out from under Valentin, and watch him fall apart. Jax says, it’s a great plan, but completely wrong for the situation.

Valentin tells Hayden that Ava had a nervous breakdown, and submitter herself to Shadybrook. He just came from a visit. They had an enlightening conversation about the portrait, and how it came into her hands, despite the fact that he threw it away. Hayden asks if she still has it, and he says, not in Shadybrook. It’s difficult to say where, but she said Jax and Hayden were searching for it. That would explain why she was searching his home. She says, he puts a lot of faith in a nervous breakdown. Valentin says he’ll make it easy. He’ll pay her a quarter of a million dollars to tell him what’s so important about the painting. Nikolas listens in.

Nina says, it’s a good plan, but the wrong plan? and Jax says he knows it’s tempting to take revenge; make Valentin feel the heartbreak she felt. But it’s a lose-lose situation. She asks how? and he tells her take his word for it. Revenge doesn’t always give you the satisfaction you’d expect, and it can hurt more than the person you’re targeting. She tells him to offer her a different solution. He says, it might sound cliché, but living well is the best revenge. End things, cut your losses. Don’t press charges for fraud, and drag Valentin into court; it’s a waste of time. All those weeks won’t matter once she’s free. He tells her, don’t get tangled in revenge. Focus on the good things in your life that are in front of you. Nina says Valentin won’t let her go. He’ll come after her. He says she has to make Valentin think she’s moved on; found someone else. She could fake date him if she wanted. Nina says that’s because he wouldn’t date her in real life. He says he didn’t say that.

Jason tells Anna that Cassandra held Valentin’s daughter hostage. Why not retaliate? Anna says, that’s not how the law works, but he asks, what good is the law, when it  puts the wrong person behind bars? Sam was convicted of manslaughter, and sent to Pentenville for two years. Anna says she’s sorry, and wouldn’t have asked him to meet her if she’d known. He says he needed something else to focus on. Something he understands. She asks if the children know. He says, not yet. He’s figuring out how tell them. He can’t wrap his head around it, and nothing is working. She asks if she can offer some advice. Be honest with them. Tell them as much as he thinks they’re old enough to process. The most important thing is to reassure them that he’ll be there for them. Jason thanks her, and she says he’s a bit unconventional for a father, but she thinks he’ll be brilliant. He hopes so.

Stella gives Mike a glass of water, and tells him, sorry, but they’re out of scotch at the bar. He says, it’s probably just as well. He has to work tonight. His boss is a jerk, and if he smells booze on Mike’s breath, he’ll make a big case of it. Stella says he doesn’t want that, and asks where he works. Mike says he won’t be there much longer. Just long enough to show his girl’s father that he can hold a steady job. She says he’s got a girl? He says, the most beautiful one in the world. Stella asks her name, and he says, Adela. She’s an angel. The only thing wrong is, her father doesn’t approve. She asks, how come? but Mike says he hasn’t asked him. He couldn’t care less, but being with her is world anything her old man puts him through. He just needs one good score, and he’ll have enough to make his own business. He’ll use what’s left over for a down payment on a house. It will make Adela happy; she wants to have kids, just like he does. Stella is sure he’ll be a wonderful father, and Mike says, his own childhood was hit or miss, but he’ll be different for his kids. He’s going to do it right. He’ll be home for dinner at six, Saturdays in the park, and mass on Sunday morning. Stella says, it sounds lovely, and he says as soon get he gets married, they won’t see him around there.

Carly tells Sonny that Jason was focused on Sam going to prison, and how he was going to break the news to the kids. She didn’t think it was the time to bring up a conversation about Jax. Sonny says Jax is lying about why he doesn’t want Josslyn to move in. He’d never chose a girlfriend over Josslyn. Carly says they have to get along, and Sonny says he’s trying. She tells him, try harder. He says he has no doubt Jax loves Josslyn, but also no doubt he’s using the situation to his advantage.

Jason goes to the Quartermaine mansion, and Monica says it’s good to see him. Scout was out by seven, but Danny is probably awake. She tells him, Robert called about the verdict. She’s so sorry. Jason says the lawyer is pushing for parole, but the kids need know Sam could be gone for a while. Scout is too young to understand, but he doesn’t want to risk Danny finding out some other way. Monica says what’s important is stability, consistency, and reassurance. He’s going to need help while Sam is away, and she wonders why they couldn’t live there.

Sonny tells Carly that Jax is going to push himself into their lives and family, judging everything Sonny does. Jax would love nothing more than to catch him doing something illegal. Carly says Jax already has. He knows Sonny is breaking all kinds of laws having Dev there, and said he’d keep the secret. Sonny says Jax wants to be Josslyn’s hero, but what if he finds something to use against Sonny that Josslyn isn’t involved in? Don’t think Jax won’t turn him over to the cops.

Jax tells Nina, what he’s saying is, she runs a successful magazine. Her boss thinks she’s wonderful. Nina says, does he? and Jax says, he does. Doesn’t she think it best she focus Crimson instead of destroying Valentin? Millions of people get heartbroken every day, but not many have her choices. She can wallow in hate and revenge, or choose to chase what makes her happy. She says he makes it sound easy. He says, ditch the revenge, detach herself from Valentin, start living her life. and the world is her oyster. She says, what if she doesn’t want that particular oyster? What if she wants to forgive Valentin? He asks why she’d want to do that.

Finn meets Anna at the MetroCourt, apologizing for being late. She says she met with Jason to go over the Cassandra incident. Did he know Sam was convicted of manslaughter? She’s been sentenced to two years in Pentenville. Finn says, it’s horrible, and she says, it’s terrible. Jason is grappling with how to tell the children. It made her think about how complicated life is, and how their circumstances impact their children. She tells him that she met with Hayden, and he asks how it went. She says, pleasant enough, and Finn says, but… She says she doesn’t think she trusts Hayden all that much. He says, sadly, that’s not a surprise.

Valentin says Hayden has experience in high finance. She can aggressively invest the money, and Make a princely sum. It would be all hers. She says she’d love to take his money, but she doesn’t know anything about the portrait. He says he’d prefer to pay her for the information, but he can exert influence in other ways. Once the money is off the table, it’s going to get unpleasant. He’s going to ask one more time. Do they have a deal? She says they do, and tells him to wire the money to an offshore account. He says he’ll need something up front, a gesture of good faith. She says, the reason Helena gave the portrait to Nikolas… Charlotte comes in, interrupting the conversation.

Nina tells Jax, she’s been planning her revenge since the day of the wedding. When she went back to work, she ran into Sasha, and she lied again, saying the scam was all her fault. She went to Windymere, hoping Valentin would tell the truth, but he didn’t. He lied again. It’s who he is, and who he’ll always be. Why let the truth stand between him and what he wants? So she decided to play his game, and she’s been playing him ever since, until Charlotte was abducted. Then, revenge seemed pointless. All she could think about was how much she loves Charlotte. She’d give anything for Charlotte to have a safe at home with the father she loves. She loves the three of them; they’re a family. It’s hard to give up, no matter what Valentin does or the crimes he’s committed. Jax says, please don’t say Valentin is a good father.

Sonny tells Carly that he just wants honesty from his wife. Admit Jax is out to get him. She says Sonny would already be feeling it if he was. He could be a threat to Sonny’s coffee business, which would leave his real business in serious trouble. Sonny should be grateful that Jax isn’t as vindictive as he is. What would he do if someone had him deported and kept away from his child? If all Jax does is annoy Sonny, he’s getting off easy. Sonny asks why it’s his fault. Carly put it in motion when she slept with Jax.

Jason tells Monica, he appreciates the offer, but he just doesn’t know. It’s hard enough the kids will be separated from Sam. He doesn’t know if he should take them out of their home. Monica says they spend a lot of time there anyway. It’s comfortable and familiar; they have their own rooms, and adore the nanny. They’ll have consistency and security, and won’t be confused about Sam’s absence when they come home from school. Jason says he’ll talk to Sam, and see if it’s okay. Monica says he doesn’t have to say anything, but Scout and Danny’s mother is in prison. Scout’s dad is dead, and Jason is the only parent they have. Please think before taking any chances that might get him killed or put in prison.

Charlotte says Valentin promised they’d read her book. She knows they were going to wait for Nina, but she wants to start tonight. Valentin suggests she go upstairs for a bit, but Hayden says she doesn’t want to intrude. She asks what the book is, and Charlotte says, Little Women. Hayden says it’s one of her favorites. She’ll see herself out. Valentin says he and Charlotte will show her out. He doesn’t want her wandering off somewhere she doesn’t want to be. Nikolas puts the poker back, and slips out the secret door. Valentin thanks Hayden for coming, and tells her to get the account number for him. She says, no problem about everything they discussed. When she’s gone, Charlotte wonders why Valentin didn’t introduce her, but he says, there was no need. He doubts they’ll see her again.

Jax tells Nina, Sonny is a good father too. That’s how Carly rationalized going back to him time and again. Now one of her kids is dead, and her life is in a mess. He doesn’t want that to happen to her. Nina says it’s not his decision to make. Jax says she’s right. He should know better. He can’t live someone else’s life. She has every right to choose Valentin. All he can do is give her a better alternative, and hope she’s smart enough to take it. She hands him the invitation, tells him, don’t forget to RSVP, and leaves. Geez, think he likes her?

Carly says she slept with Jax when she had reason to believe Sonny had sex with Nelle, and was covering it up. Does he think she forgot that he slept with her lawyer Martina, or flirted with Margaux right in front of her face? If he wants to compare lists, his is way longer. The house phone rings, and Sonny says, send her up. Carly asks, who’s there? and he says, Stella. He knows it’s not a good time, but Carly says, of course (🍷) Stella should come in. They need to finish this though. Sonny opens the door, and Stella says, hey, stranger. He asks how she is, and Carly says she’s here from across the pond. Stella says, just for a quick visit. She was just visiting Sonny’s father. Unfortunately, he had no idea who she was.

Finn tells Anna that Hayden is Violet’s mother, but he’s under no illusion that motherhood transformed her. As happy as he is to have Violet in his life, he’s not sure he can forgive Hayden for the time she’s taken from him. Anna says she’s sorry, and Finn says, this is where science does him a favor. He looks at the facts, and wonders if he and Hayden can find a way to co-parent that’s best for Violet. Anna says, for Hayden, the best way might mean the two of them getting back together.

Jax looks at the invitation, and Nikolas walks in. Jax asks where he was (déjà vu!), and Nikolas says, out. Jax asks if he was breaking more drug traffickers out of custody. Nikolas asks what Nina wanted, and Jax says to invite him to the wedding. She’s marrying Valentin at midnight on New Year’s Eve. Nikolas says, she’s a fool, but Jax says, she knows what she’s doing. She’s a good person, and too many people lied to her, including him. He’s done.

Nina walks into Windymere, and hears Valentin reading to Charlotte. She sees them on the couch, Charlotte’s head on Valentin’s shoulder. She watches them.

Jason tells Danny that he wants to talk about something that happened. He had to testify in court. Danny asks if it was for his mom’s trial, and Jason says it was. Danny ask if she’s okay, and Jason says what he’s about to tell Danny is complicated. He’s sure Danny will have a lot of questions, but he’ll explain everything. Danny’s mom was found guilty of something called manslaughter.

Stella tells Sonny, she’s not surprised. She and Mike met after he developed Alzheimer’s. He was so fully immersed in another time and place, with no sense of disorientation or uncertainty. It’s clear Mike’s Alzheimer’s is progressing. Carly asks, how long before he won’t remember them? but Stella says, it’s impossible to say. Sonny says, based on her experience, what’s her guess? Stella says, the day when Sonny’s father won’t remember him at all, is coming a lot sooner than they think.

Jason says Danny’s mom was protecting him, and as a result, Shiloh died. The judge found his mom partly responsible; that’s what manslaughter means. He asks if it makes sense, and Danny asks if Sam is going to prison. Jason says, yeah. The judge wants her to go for two years. Danny says, no, and Jason says the lawyers are trying to get her home sooner. Danny wonders what will happen with him and Scout, and Jason says he was talking  to Grandma Monica. She thought they could stay there, and he doesn’t think it’s a bad idea. But if Danny wants to be home, they can do that. Whatever he wants. Danny thinks he wants to stay. If they’re at home, they’ll just miss their mom more. Jason says, it’s okay. Jason will need his help. If Scout sees Danny is okay, she’ll be okay. Danny says he can do that, and Jason says he knows Danny can. Jason promises to do everything to get their mom home, but whatever happens, Danny has him. He’s not going anywhere. They hug.

Hayden goes back to the MetroCourt, and sees Anna and Finn at the bar. Anna says now that Finn has had time to think, does he have any insights to share? He says, just one. He loves her. He would have never asked her to marry him if he’d had any doubts. She says she doesn’t have any either. He says, whatever happens, they’ll deal with it together, and she says, of course (🍷). Whatever it takes. She loves him. He says he loves her too, and kisses her. Hayden watches.

Nikolas asks what Jax means by done. Jax says if he can’t find the codicil by New Year’s Eve, he’s going to tell Nina everything; that Nikolas is alive, and about his involvement. Valentin will be focused on Nikolas, and he’ll rape Cassadine Industries, bankrupting Valentin. Nikolas says Jax will render the estate worthless, and Jax says that’s Nikolas’s problem. Nikolas asks, what about Spencer? and Jax says he can take care of Spencer, without further involvement in his family’s politics. Nikolas asks, what happened? and Jax says, his priorities have changed, and he wants to make sure Nina comes out unharmed.

Nina says she can’t believe they started without her. She would have rushed home. Charlotte says she loves it so far, and Nina says she knew Charlotte would. Charlotte says she can’t believe papa didn’t know the book, and Nina says it’s on them to keep him educated. She takes the book, and says, her turn. She reads, and Charlotte says, those poor girls. She doesn’t know what she‘d do without her papa. Valentin says she doesn’t have to worry about that.

Nikolas calls Hayden. He says he needs to see her tomorrow. Don’t say a word to Jax. This is between them. It’s urgent. Everything has changed.

On Monday, TJ tells Stella that he’s going to propose to Molly. Neil asks Alexis what she and Kendra work on, and Trina asks if Dev is Sonny’s cousin or not.

November 15, 2019 – Anna Meets Violet, New Sanderson Sisters, Enjoying the Dark, Nearly Ten Quotes & Weekend Turn

General Hospital

Finn tells Hayden that he guesses they’ve earned the right to be honest with one another. Hayden says co-parenting is the number one priority, but she can’t guarantee the only way she’ll see him is as Violet’s father. Anna comes in, calling out that she’s home. She walks into the living room, and sees Finn and Hayden (wearing just Finn’s shirt) sitting on the couch. Finn gets up, and says, welcome home. Anna says, before anyone tells her it’s not the way it looks, she’s had a long night. Finn says he told Anna that Hayden was in town, and Anna says, but she didn’t expect to find Hayden in her house. Her nerves are frayed.

Elizabeth brings Cameron to Sonny’s place. Sonny says he’s glad she brought Cameron by. She says she has to run to the hospital, but she’ll be back to pick him up. Sonny says, it won’t take long, and she leaves. Sonny says Cameron is growing up. He was Cameron’s age when he left home. He tells Cameron, it’s time they had a talk, man to man.

At Alexis’s house, TJ and Neil are putting on rubber gloves. TJ says, Molly went through the house once to check the cleaning supplies, and asks what they’re looking for. Neil says foreign substances. Something innocuous. They might not seem toxic, but acting together, some elements can be dangerous. He tells TJ, grab whatever he’s not sure about.

Alexis lies in a hospital bed. Julian comes in, and starts to leave, but Alexis tells him not to. She could use the distraction. He says he shouldn’t be there; he’s not good company. She asks when that’s stopped him before. What’s wrong now? He says it’s not a matter of life and death, but she says let her be the judge of that. Julian thinks it’s time to do something about Olivia’s rats.

Kim sees Monica at the hospital, and says she was hoping to see her. She came to say her goodbyes, but the nurses aren’t speaking to her. They’re very loyal to Elizabeth. Monica says it’s an impossible situation, but she’s glad Kim caught her before she and Drew move. She wishes they could find a way to stay. Kim say she’s sorry, but Monica says she does understand. Port Charles has too many memories for her, and not enough for Drew. Monica agrees that what they’re doing is a better plan. Just promise after all they’ve gone through, that they have happy lives.

Franco comes out on the pier, and Jason asks if he can help with something, like he works there. Franco says he wants to be by the water. He was a SEAL. Did Jason know that he was? Jason says he noticed the uniform at the hearing. Franco says his lawyer suggested it for optics. It reminded people of his heroic actions. Jason says, people don’t get medals for nothing. Franco says, he and Franco knew each other when they were kids. They lived in the same house. The only reason he grew up to be a hero is because Franco already was one.

Scotty asks Elizabeth if she’s heard anything from Franco. She says she hasn’t heard anything since he said he was leaving with Kim. Scotty says he thought told he could change what’s left of Franco’s mind. She asks what he said, and he says he told Franco about his childhood; Andy and Bobby, Jim and the stairway. She says Franco didn’t want anyone else to know about that, and he says he violated Franco’s trust, but he’s fighting for Franco’s life. If Franco is mad, he can tell Scotty himself.

Franco says, according to Scotty, Jim is dead. Franco felt like he got his old brother back – that would be him. Jason says he never understood the friendship between Franco and Drew, but he guesses that explains it. Franco says, now he has that life, and it belongs to the guy who saved him. He should step up like Franco did, and give it back.

Alexis says she’ll definitely have to do something about Olivia and her rats. Is Olivia commanding them with music, or instructing them telepathically? Julian says they both know Olivia isn’t happy with him. Alexis says Julian kept her deposit. He says, legally. Someone please enlighten me on how that’s possible when he backed out of the deal. Even if the sale had been contingent on him getting the bar in Manhattan, he’d still have to give it back. It’s making me nuts. He says she tried taking him down, starting with the flyers. Alexis says he doesn’t know that was Olivia. Doesn’t he think it’s going too far to believe she sent an army of rodents against him? He says the alley behind Charlie’s is filled with dead rats. She says he should be more concerned about the proximity of the restaurant. He says he uses a humane exterminator, the city doesn’t use poison, and his neighbors don’t have the same issue. The rats have been put there deliberately. Alexis says, absolutely. Olivia is littering his alley with dead vermin. It sounds more like a prank. Why doesn’t he just refund the money? She can’t believe they’re even having this conversation. Julian says, Olivia may be a Quartermaine, but deep down, she’s a street fighter.

Finn asks Anna, what happened? She said it had been a long night. Anna says, it doesn’t appear to be over yet. Finn says, Hayden is there because… Violet comes out, and Anna asks what her name is. She says, Violet Barnes, and asks if Anna is a friend of her daddy’s. Finn picks her up, and says, yes; a very good friend. She’s traveled a long way to see him, and he’s happy to see her. Anna says she’s happy to see him too. She asks Violet if this handsome man is her father. Did she decide to keep him? Hayden says, Violet is keeping her daddy, but no one is keeping anyone else. Anna says, Violet is a lucky little girl. Hayden welcomes Anna home, and takes Violet upstairs. Finn says, what happened was… and Anna says, no, not yet.

Sonny takes his jacket off, and sits in the living room with Cameron. He asks how Cameron’s hands are, and Cameron says, feeling better. Sonny asks if he iced them, and Cameron nods. He thanks Sonny for allowing him to use the gym. Sonny says, life is tough. If Cameron wants to punch something, punch the bag. Did it help? Cameron says, yeah. He thinks it did. Sonny says, it’s the kind of anger that tears you up. Cameron has every right to be angry. Oscar died, and he had that stuff with Franco. Cameron says, it’s hard, and Sonny says, we don’t get to choose what life throws at us, we can only choose how we react. Those are the decisions that define you. Does he want to be the guy who gets his friend drunk at a school party?

Neil and TJ load up a couple of boxes with bottles and boxes of household products. TJ asks what Neil thinks, and Neil says they collected enough to rule things out. TJ says he’ll drop them off at the lab. Maybe they can find out what’s making Alexis sick. Neil says, here’s hoping. TJ hopes the answer is there waiting. Neil asks if there’s something on TJ’s mind. It seems extra urgent. Neil adds he’s professionally trained to see changes in behavior. Does TJ want to talk? TJ asks if it will stay between them, even though he’s not Neil’s patient. Neil says, honor among colleagues. TJ says he’s come to a decision about him and Molly. He wants to propose. Neil says, great, congratulations, and shakes TJ’s hand. TJ says he was planning on doing it old school, and asking for Alexis’s blessing. Neil says, and if they don’t find out what the problem is, he won’t have the chance. TJ wonders if it’s a terrible thing to be thinking about, but Neil says maybe he should ask now. As bad as things are, good news is always good medicine.

Kim wants Monica to know that she’ll never forget what Monica and the Quartermaines did for Oscar. Raising him as one of the family enabled him to be something larger than himself. Monica says, the both of them. She hopes Kim felt embraced as well. Kim says, how could she not? Monica says, the Quartermaines aren’t exactly big when it comes to affection, and Kim says, before Oscar was embraced by the Quartermaines, he never thought of leaving a legacy. Now, there are going to be kids climbing Kilimanjaro because of the bequest he left them. It was important for him to be able to do that before the end. It means the world to her. So many will carry on his memory. Monica says, it’s a wonderful gift; family. It was the greatest gift Kim could give her. Kim says it was her pleasure – for as long as it lasted. Monica says, Oscar will not be forgotten. Kim tells Monica that it’s a horrible club they belong to; mothers who have survived their children. Monica says they have to endure for those still there. They have to do for them as well. Kim thinks that’s one reason she fought so hard for Drew. She didn’t want Monica to lose another child. I call BS on that one.

Scotty tells Elizabeth, Franco is gone, and has Drew’s memories. He should know the guy whose life he’s living. So that’s what he did. She asks how Franco reacted, and Scotty says he wasn’t unmoved, but he doesn’t think Franco was swayed. Elizabeth says, they’ve literally tried everything, and he says, short of kidnapping him, and forcing him to go through the procedure. Don’t think he didn’t think that through, but kidnapping, false imprisonment, and assault; none of them is good. They did fight for Franco. She says, with everything they had, and he says, yet here they are. It’s cold comfort.

Finn asks Anna how the trip was. Hayden comes back down with Violet, and tells them goodbye, saying it’s nice to see Anna again. Finn tells Violet that he’ll see her soon, and hugs her. They leave, and Finn says he doesn’t want Anna to think something happened when it didn’t. Anna thinks she knows him well enough to know that if he was going to betray her, it wouldn’t be in their bed. It surprised her though. Why didn’t he tell her? He says it’s all he’s wanted to do since he found out. He wanted to make sure she wasn’t blindsided. She asks when he found out, and he says, a few days ago. Violet was sick, and Hayden brought her to the hospital. He found out that she had her daughter was the same age as their child would have been, and she came clean. He thought it should be a face-to-face conversation. She says what if she hadn’t come back? and he says he doesn’t know. He didn’t expect her to be gone this long. He’s sure she didn’t either. She says, no; she didn’t. Finn says they can talk on the phone, but it’s not the same as sharing their lives. She nods in agreement.

Kim tells Monica that she knows she’ll never get Oscar back, or the Drew who helped make him, but if Monica had the chance to get back the person she loved most and lost, she’d take it, right? Monica says, of course (🍷). Kim promises to do everything to persuade Drew to stay in touch, and Monica says Kim doesn’t know who much that means to her. She can make it easier. Drew doesn’t have to come back. She can come to them. Just tell her where they landed, and she’ll come to see them. Kim says, it’s a deal.

Alexis tells Julian, he was right the first time. It’s not about life and death. Julian says, unless you’re a rat or a small business owner. Alexis says she’ll have someone alert Olivia about his concerns. In the meantime, he should call his exterminator, pronto. He says he shouldn’t have bothered her; sorry. She says, it’s not about rats. His best laid plans with Kim are dissolving, he doesn’t know what’s going on with Lucas, since it keeps changing, and his daughter isn’t speaking to him. He has plenty to be upset about without using rats as an excuse. Julian says the last thing he needs is her making fun of his stupid problems. She says, they’re not stupid. The next time an army of beavers chews up the bar, they’ll know Olivia is commanding them. Julian says, if that happens, he’ll take pictures. He tells her to focus on getting better, and she says she’ll get right on it.

Jason says, according to the court, Franco can make his own decisions. He can legally live this life with these memories. Franco says, so his advice is to do nothing? Jason says it’s not nothing. Whatever he chooses, someone he cares about loses. Franco looks at the water, and says, the thing about water is, it’s dangerous. The temperature plummets; you get disoriented in the dark. You can’t beat water. You have to join it; surrender to it. That’s been his training. He knows how far he can swim with gear on, and how deep he can go before he passes out. He knows how to manage hypothermia. He and water have an agreement. He obeys when he’s surrounded by water, and in return, it releases him when it’s done with him. It allows him to go to the surface with light and air; to go on to another day. Water was always in on the agreement. It’s allowed him to live his life, but that was before.

Neil goes to Alexis’s room, and she says, any luck ransacking her home and office? Neil doesn’t think so. He and TJ went through her cleaning, laundry, and lawn supplies. She says, she has cleaning, laundry, and lawn supplies? He says he thought they might find the cause of her illness, and took everything to the lab, but it doesn’t look promising. She says, just great, and he says, it’s understandable for her to be scared. She says she doesn’t want to be. She wants to find out what happened.

Julian sees Kim near the hospital elevators, and she jets in the other direction. She doesn’t want to talk to him. He asks her to wait. He doesn’t want to leave things like this.

Cameron tells Sonny that he’s sorry about what happened with Josslyn. He shouldn’t have had the liquor in the first place, much less shared it with her. Sonny’s not sure Cameron knows how stupid it was. Cameron says, he does. They could have fallen out of the boat, or passed out. Sonny says, a lot of things can happen when you’re drunk. Some are dangerous, and none of them are good. Why should Sonny believe Cameron won’t do it again, and get in a car? Cameron says, that’s not going to happen. Sonny wants to believe that, but what if there’s a party, and a couple of friends have some liquor? What if Cameron thinks he’s not that drunk, and gets behind the wheel of a car? Cameron promises he’ll never drink and drive. He gives Sonny his word. Sonny tells Cameron to listen to him, because there will be a lot more dances and parties. Cameron is going to want to forget about life for a while, and he’s got to make the smart choice. Maybe it’s not the popular choice, or it’s the boring choice. Maybe it’s not exciting, but he’s got to know what the safe choice is. That’s what Cameron’s word means. Cameron says, yes, sir.

Hayden drops off Violet to her doctor’s appointment, and finds Elizabeth. Elizabeth asks why Hayden didn’t phone. She was worried when Hayden didn’t come home. Hayden asks if Elizabeth didn’t get her text. Elizabeth asks if Hayden sent it, and Hayden says, yeah. She looks at her phone and says, no, but she wrote it. She shows Elizabeth, and Elizabeth says, she was with Finn? Hayden says, it was completely innocent. He invited them to stay over – in the guest room. She told him that he’s Violet’s daddy. Elizabeth asks how he took it, and Hayden says, Violent thinks Finn is amazing, and he comes with a reptile. She thinks Roxie is her sister. Finn was sweet with her; it was magical. Then, Anna came home.

Franco tells Jason, his mind thinks he’s Drew, and thinks he could jump in and swim. His muscle memory in his body says something is off, and the water would spit him back out or worse; let him know this was not what they agreed on. It’s not his body, and not his life. This life belongs to Franco. Uh-oh, feeling tears coming.

TJ tells Neil that he dropped everything off at the lab. He wishes he could do more to help. Alexis says Molly has him to lean on. That’s a help in and of itself. He says he’s doing his best. He’ll swing back with the test results. Neil says he has patients to see, and looks pointedly at TJ. Alexis says they’re abandoning her in her hour of need, like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Julian tells Kim, after all they’ve been through, he’d hate if they couldn’t part on better terms. She asks, whose fault is that? She made a mistake, but he utterly betrayed her. He hopes she recognizes one day that he acted out of love. She says, how dare he say that? When she lost Oscar, she was at the lowest point of her life. She was in so much pain, she couldn’t see straight. She didn’t know black from white, or right from wrong. Her moment of desperation is now a matter of public record, thanks to him. He says he’s so sorry, but she asks what he expected would happen. He told Elizabeth’s lawyer. Julian says he just wants to part… She says, as friends?  He says, with no ill will between them. She says he’s used to getting away with murder – literally – and he wants her to absolve him. He tells her that he wants to say one last thing. Loving her, and being her Charlie, made him a better man. The man he knew he could be. She says, compared to what? He was never her Charlie. That man never existed. It was him pretending to be someone he could never be. The good news is, he doesn’t have to pretend anymore. She says, goodbye, Julian.

Hayden tells Elizabeth that she and Finn were looking like deer in headlights. Before they could manage a coherent response, Violet asked if Anna was her daddy’s friend. Elizabeth says, poor Anna. Hayden says, poor Anna? She was the one in Finn’s shirt. Elizabeth asks what she did, and Hayden says, grabbed Violet, and got the hell out of Dodge. Elizabeth tells Hayden that she’s coming from a place of love. She watched Finn put his life back together, piece by piece, when Hayden left; it took a long time. Anna makes him happy. Hayden says she’d never come between them, and Elizabeth says, whatever happens, she wants them to be happy. Hayden knows, but Violet is his child. Elizabeth tells Hayden to be careful with whatever she’s up to. She’s playing with Violet’s family.

Finn tells Anna, sorry. He knows it’s upsetting for him to have a daughter suddenly. Anna says, that’s not what’s upsetting. She’s happy to know his daughter is alive and well. She doesn’t love the way she found out. He understands, and he’s sorry for that. She says, it’s not his fault; it’s no one’s fault. Just bad timing. It will take a few days to adjust for both her and him. She thinks he’ll be a wonderful father. He hopes she’s right, and she says, she is. She thinks Hayden thinks so too. Finn says, there it is. I wish he’d said, whoomp first.

TJ goes back to Alexis’s room, and she asks if he has news. He says, not exactly. About what she said; rats fleeing a sinking ship… She tells him, don’t take it personally, but he tells her that he’s glad she said it. It got him to thinking. That’s what could be making her sick. Rat poison.

Elizabeth goes to pick up Cameron. She thanks Sonny, and asks if Cameron is ready to go. Sonny asks Cameron to do him a favor, and get a jar of sauce from the kitchen for his family. Cameron says, yes, sir, and Elizabeth says she loves hearing him call Sonny sir. She asks how it went, and Sonny says, he’s a good kid. He’ll think twice next time. She thanks him again, and says she does the best she can, but this time she thought a man Cameron respects should talk to him. Sonny says he’s there if she needs him, but seeing her with the boys, he thinks she’s doing a great job. Cameron comes back, and Sonny says it was good talking to him, Cameron says, him too, and Sonny tells him, if Cameron needs to hit the bag, let him know. It’s all good. Cameron thanks him, and Sonny tells Elizabeth, she’s got this.

Hayden tells Violet, it’s wonderful news. Violet says she’s all better, and Hayden says, daddy will be happy to hear it.

Finn tells Anna that she doesn’t have to worry about Hayden. Anna says Hayden clearly still has feelings for him. He says he told Hayden that his life is with Anna, and no one else. She says she loves that. Hayden’s intentions might be genuine, but her instincts might not. She has powerful leverage with Violet. Finn says Violet will change their lives, but he’d like to think they’re as solid as ever. She says he’s just beginning to know what it’s like to be a father. It could change his perspective. His phone rings, and he says he should get that. He answers, then says he’s on his way. Anna says, duty calls? He says he doesn’t want to be away from her another minute… and she says, but his patients come first. Finn says he’ll be back as soon as possible. She says she’ll be there, and he kisses her. I think it’s less passionate than she expected though. Hmm…

Monica sees Jason walk into the hospital, and asks what he’s doing there. Doesn’t Sam’s trial start tomorrow? He says he wanted to see how she was doing. She says checking up on her is okay, and hugs him.

Kim puts Oscar’s stuffed bear in her bag, and looks around at the empty apartment. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Franco, and she says, right on time. He doesn’t say anything, and she says, Drew?

On Monday, Lucas tells Brad that he made sure Julian won’t interfere in their marriage anymore, Diane tells the court that Sam has a clear-cut case of self-defense, and Kim asks if Franco is ready to start their life in San Diego.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Sam tends to the guard. Jason shows up, and asks, what happened? Sam tells him, Cassandra escaped.

Cassandra asks if Nikolas is sure he’s not driving in circles. He tells her the trees only look similar; they’ll get where they’re going soon. She suggests perhaps he take a more direct route to the private airport, but he says they could get caught. He tells her, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. She says she doesn’t have much choice, and he says, that’s the spirit. Don’t worry. He’s taken care of everything.

There’s a knock on Ava’s door, and she says, go away. Jax comes in, saying the doctor cleared him for a visit. She asks what he’s doing there, and he says he thought he’d check on her. How is she? She says, okay. She’s tired because they gave her a sedative. Her mind is playing tricks on her. He says what happened to her is his fault.

Lulu, Charlotte, and Maxie walk into Kelly’s Charlotte asks if when she finishes her homework, she can check on her pony at Windymere. Lulu is sure Butterscotch is fine, but Charlotte is insistent, and Lulu says she’ll think about it. Charlotte asks if she can sit at the counter so she can concentrate, and Lulu says, of course (🍷). Maxie says she’ll have to remember saying she’ll think about it after the homework, when James is old enough. Lulu says Charlotte loves riding, and she’s glad Charlotte can share that with Nina and Valentin. Although she thinks Valentin bought the pony so Charlotte would spend more time there, and asks if she sounds paranoid. Maxie says, not in the least.

Willow sees Brad sitting at the counter, and asks if he’s okay. He says, it’s been a tough day, but Willow is sure when he gets home, and cuddles with Lucas and Wiley, his bad day will disappear. Brad flashes back to telling Lucas about Julian, and says Julian is falling apart. They can’t let Julian drag them down with them.

Julian goes to the hospital, and tells Bobbie that he’s looking for Lucas, and asks if Lucas is on duty. She suggests he try calling before bothering her. He says Lucas isn’t answering, and he needs to speak to Lucas; it’s very important. She checks the computer.

Lucas is at Tony’s grave. He says he misplaced his trust in Julian, and his husband is lying to him – again. Right now, the one thing he knows for sure is that he could really use Tony’s advice. He says, I miss you dad. I’d give anything to talk to you again. He turns, as someone walks into the cemetery. It’s Tony, who says, hello son. It’s been a while.

Jason tells 911, the guard is semi-conscious, and the paramedics are on the way. She tells him, there was another guard. Chase and another officer show up, and Chase tells Jason and Sam to freeze. Sam says, the guard was hit in the head; she’s in and out. Chase tells the officer to check the guard. He does, and says, her pulse is good, but she’s out of it. Chase says he got a call from 911, and Jason says it was him. Chase says, and there was an escaped prisoner. Sam tells Chase, it was Cassandra Pierce. She hit the guard in the head with a shovel, and took off.

Nikolas tells Cassandra, it will be a few minutes; he thinks they should talk. She says, about what? and he says they had a mutual understanding, until she chose to blackmail him. Cassandra asks what he wanted her to do. Continue rotting in that local penitentiary? He knows how dangerous the environment is to a person with her constitution. The mildew alone is deadly. He says perhaps she should have stayed away from Port Charles altogether. She says, lucky for both of them, she’s on her way out. Just get her to the airport. She’d be happy to continue their partnership with mutually agreed upon terms from a safe distance. He says, that’s the problem. Her actions have dissolved their partnership.

Lucas hugs Tony, and says it’s good see him. Tony says since Lucas conjured him up, it must be important. He sees Lucas is a doctor now, and Lucas says just like his old man. And Tony has a grandson, Wiley. Tony says he’s proud of Lucas, and asks what’s on his mind.

Willow says she didn’t see Brad at the hospital today, and Brad says he switched his schedule around; he had errands to run. She says, in case she wasn’t clear, she doesn’t just think of him as just Wiley’s dad. She thinks of him as a really good friend. He says it’s kind of her to say, and she says, because of him, she has a place in her little boy’s life. He guesses he did do that, and she says he did, so if something is troubling him… He tells her like he said, it’s been a day.

Lulu suggests she and Maxie talk about something more gratifying. Maxie says, as in hot Dustin? but Lulu says, as in Peter. The way Maxie has been smiling, he must have done something wonderful. Maxie says there might soon be a change in their living arrangements. Lulu says, he got the place? but Maxie says, that didn’t work out. He’s moving in with her. Lulu thinks that’s even better, and Maxie says it’s been her home forever; more important, James’s home. Lulu says, it’s about damn time. Maxie says she was afraid, then he was afraid, then they took turns being afraid. They’ve finally accepted that they can be happy together, and the world won’t go up flames.

Ava asks Jax how her vacation from sanity is his fault. He says they should have kept an eye on the message boards after they did… She says, that hatchet job? and he says they were her words. He knew the reaction would be strong, but didn’t expect the rudeness. Ava says, rudeness? It was hatred; a complete lack of humanity and compassion. He says he doesn’t want to provide a platform for trolls. It was brutal, and he should have put a stop to it. Ava says she’s going to be more merciful to him than he was to her. The reason she’s there isn’t his fault. He asks, then why? She says she’s being haunted by restless souls. The line between the living and the dead has become very blurry. She just wanted to reach out to Kiki now… Tell her something. Does he believe they can awaken the dead?

Jax knows Ava has taken some questioning paths to contact Kiki, and Ava says, Kiki wants no part of her. Eternity isn’t even long enough for her to stay away from Ava. She’s being haunted by another lost soul. He was there at the gallery. She had him at gunpoint, and told him to take off his mask – it was Halloween and he had a mask on. When he removed it, there he was; so real, she could have reached out and touched him. Jax asks, who? and she says, Nikolas Cassadine.

Chase tells Sam and Jason, the prisoners are heading back to Pentenville. There will be a second transport for Sam as soon as he gets her statement. Sam asks about the guard, and he tells her, the guard is stable, and she’ll regain consciousness. He asks her to take him through it, and Sam says she was on work detail with Cassandra, and they were assigned to plant a tree. Cassandra had a shovel, and faked a sprained ankle. She hit the guard with the shovel and took off. There was a van parked across the road, and as soon as she saw it, she took the first opportunity. She tried to get the guard’s gun, but Sam stopped her from getting a weapon. Chase says, well done, and asks her to describe the driver. She says, it was pretty far, but the driver was male, and the van was white and not too old. She’s sorry, but that’s all she’s got.

Julian tells Bobbie, he can see the animosity. He’s proved himself to Lucas, and was accepted back into Lucas’s life and Wiley’s. He’s not walking away now, or ever. Bobbie reminds him that, whatever ground he’s gained with Lucas, there’s only one man who will truly be Lucas’s father.

Lucas tells Tony about Wiley running around nakey after his bath, and Tony says Lucas was the same way. He and Bobbie called him the streak. Lucas says it’s brought back so much of his childhood. Things he hadn’t thought about. Tony would be exhausted, coming home from a 36 hour shift, and still sit with Lucas to do homework, or put Lucas on his lap to teach him guitar. He always had time for Lucas. Tony says he never wanted Lucas to think being a parent was a chore or a favor. He wanted Lucas to feel safe and loved. He never wanted Lucas to doubt that he was the most important thing in his life . Lucas says he succeeded, and Tony says, good to know. Lucas wants the same thing for Wiley; to feel as safe and loved as he did when he was a kid. But he thinks he just burned it to the ground.

Cassandra tells Nikolas not to let a couple of tiny misunderstandings and setbacks dismantle an otherwise profitable arrangement. He says she put the entire operation in jeopardy. She admits her time in the claustrophobic confines of Pentenville may have compromised her judgment, and compelled her to misstep. Now they’re back on even ground, and no harm done. Nikolas tells her that she said she could deliver information that could destroy Valentin, and so far she’s come empty-handed. That makes her a liability. She says he’s not taking her to an airport, is he?

Nikolas stops the van. He says she wouldn’t appreciate it if he broke his promise to her. How is he supposed to respond when she breaks her promise to him? She says, it’s just been delayed, and he tells her, good. He hopes she considers this drive as an incentive to honor her obligation. She says as far as incentives go, she doesn’t see them any close to an airport. He says her actions have forced him to make alternate arrangements. She jumps out of the van, and runs.

Maxie asks Lulu if the dance was romantic or nostalgic, but Lulu says, it was a nightmare. On one hand, she was surrounded by teenage angst and ricocheting hormones; it was exhausting. Maxie says, on the other? Lulu says, Dustin was… Maxie says, hot? Sexy? Gorgeous? Lulu says, he was adorable and funny, and surprising. He had the biggest collection of dad jokes. They were so lame, she couldn’t stop laughing. Maxie says it was less romantic than she was hoping for, but Lulu says, it was romantic. Let’s just say, the kids weren’t the only ones hoping to score that night. Maxie is happy to see Lulu caught up with someone again.

Willow tells Brad, she doesn’t mean to pry, but Julian mentioned he was worried about him. She knows it was her idea to keep Julian away from Wiley during the adoption process, but she thinks Julian only wants what’s best for Wiley.

Tony tells Lucas, every parent worth their salt worries that they’re going to ruin their child’s life. But he can’t believe that, even accidently, Lucas would compromise Wiley’s happiness. Lucas says he let his guard down, and Tony says he should with the people he loves. Lucas says the problem is, the person he loves, he doesn’t entirely trust as much as he wants to. He loves Brad so much. Tony says he knows, but tell him about the horrible mistake Lucas made that torpedoed Wiley’s life. Lucas says, long story long, from day one Brad was an anxious parent. It’s been over a year, and he’s only gotten worse. They found out the birth father is a psychopath, but even though Shiloh is dead, Brad didn’t get any better. It was the opposite. Tony asks how Wiley is handling it, and Lucas says, he smiles. One thing they’re good at is hiding their stress from him. They’re experts. They can’t share it with each other either. Tony asks, how can he help? Lucas says he just keeps asking himself, what would his dad do? It made him desperate enough to let Julian back into his life; he wanted a father to lean on so badly. Tony says he was never Julian’s biggest fan, and Lucas says, him neither. Not at first. But he wanted to believe in him so badly, he let Julian get close to his son.

Ava says Jax doesn’t believe her, but he says he does. She says he believes that she believes it; that’s what Laura said. But Nikolas was as real as he is. Jax asks if anybody else saw Nikolas, like Laura or Lulu, but she doesn’t think so. He wonders why Nikolas would come to her first, and she says they formed a special bond in the days before Nikolas was killed. Would it be enough for Nikolas to show his face to her before anyone else? Probably not. Jax says, she seems to be arguing that Nikolas wasn’t really there, and she says, he was definitely there. He wanted to punish her. She was there when he was murdered, and she was going to speak out and tell the court what Valentin did. She’d promised Spencer, but Valentin made her an offer she couldn’t resist. (Thank you for not saying couldn’t refuse.) She’d been terribly scarred in a fire, and he said he could have her face restored in exchange for her silence. In the end, she betrayed Spencer and his father’s memory. Jax says he thinks she made the right call. Valentin would have slipped out of the charges anyway, and she would have been left scarred for life. Ava says they’ll never know, will they? Jax says she doesn’t believe Nikolas came back to haunt her because she chose to live life. She says she doesn’t know what to believe. She doesn’t know what’s real. That’s why she’s there. He asks why she thinks this happened to her now. Did something happen? Did she see someone or something that reminds her of the Cassadines?

On the phone, Chase says they have personnel in civilian clothes watching the airports, bus stations, and train stations, and they have roadblocks and traffic stops at the main roads out of town. He tells Sam, good news; the guard is awake and alert. Sam says, that’s great, and Chase tells her to make sure her lawyer knows. He’ll back her up, and it’s got to help. Jason asks, what’s happening with Cassandra? and Chase says they’re combing the city for the van and Cassandra. But he’d like to know what Jason was doing at the park. And before he says he’s not answering questions about his attorney, they could say Sam was an accessory to Cassandra’s escape. Sam says she tried to stop Cassandra, and Chase says, the more Jason cooperates, the better it looks for Sam. Jason says Sam told him when he visited, she’d be on work detail there, and Chase asks if Jason thought he’d pop over to say hello. She says she wanted to make sure her kids didn’t come there, and Jason says when he got there, the guard was on the ground, and Sam was doing what she could to help. Chase asks if it occurred to her to run, but she says, no. She was helping the guard. Why would she take off, and look guilty when she’s not?

Nikolas slams the van door shut, and says, dammit.

Bobbie sees Julian looking at the wall of staff photos. Bobbie asks what he’s doing, and he says he never thanked Tony. Bobbie says, when Julian was hiding, pretending to be Derek Wells, or is he referring to a more cosmic gesture of gratitude? Julian says Bobbie doesn’t think he’s capable of gratitude, does she? She says, no, and he says he knows he’s done terrible things. His efforts to go legit – and he’s succeeded – are probably too late. She says, there’s no probably about it, and he says he’s still a person; a father and a grandfather, and their son is a good man. She says, no thanks to him. He says he understands she and Tony loved and raised Lucas, and he’ll be grateful for the rest of his life. She says they didn’t do it for him, but he tells her, take the win and the thank you. He’s not trying to fill Tony’s shoes, but wants to carve out a space of his own with his son. He leaves, and Bobbie looks at Tony’s picture, saying, fill his shoes. As if.

Tony tells Lucas, the great thing about being dead is, everyone forgets your faults, or at least forgives them. He wasn’t a perfect parent. Lucas disagrees, and Tony says that’s sweet, but Lucas is proving his point. Lucas says if he wasn’t perfect, he was within the margin of error, and Tony says, so is he. Lucas says it doesn’t feel like it right now, and Tony says that’s because he’s going through a bad patch. Everything is gloom and doom right now. Did he forget the first time saw his baby smile, and realized he could take it personally? You forget the feel of your child’s hand inside yours when you’re going to the post office. He thinks when things get rough – and they did between him and Lucas’s mother – these happy memories, these little gifts, these miracles, are his arsenal of weapons against doubt, uncertainty, and fear. Those same memories will build a foundation for Wiley to lead a happy life. Okay, I’m about to lose it.

Lucas says, say he’s adjusted his outlook. Now what? He still can’t decide what’s worse; that Julian framed Brad for having an affair, or that he believed Julian. That’s the state of his family. Tony thinks Lucas knows who the most important person is in all this. Lucas says, it’s Wiley. Now he has to decide who to trust and keep in his life and Wiley’s life. Lucas asks if Tony can’t just tell him what to do, but Tony can’t remember it ever being all that effective. Lucas guesses he’s right, and Tony says when Lucas’s sister died, he didn’t have the strength or motivation to get dressed. He’d pick up his shoes, and just stare. Lucas asks what he did, and Tony says, not a damn thing. It was what Lucas did; does he remember? Lucas says, no, and Tony says, he came into kitchen and Lucas had put out breakfast. He wasn’t old enough to use the stove, so he put all his favorite cereals into a big mixing bowl. Lucas says, it’s starting to ring a bell. Tony says, next to it, Lucas had packed his lunch. It was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, an apple, and a cookie. He’d had no intention of going in that day, but Lucas was having none of it. Lucas asks what he did, and Tony said he crawled next to him on the chair and said, dad, you have to go back to the hospital… Lucas says with him, all those sick people miss you. Lucas finishes, and they need you to make them feel better. Tony says, he remembers. He has a brave heart. All Wiley needs is for him trust it. He takes Lucas’s hand. Lucas’s phone rings. He answers, and I say, don’t go, Tony. It’s Bobbie. She asks if he’s okay, and Lucas says he’s fine. What’s up? Bobbie says Julian is combing the halls in the hospital, hellbent on finding him. He won’t leave. What should she tell him? Lucas says, tell Julian if he wants to see him, he’s with his father. He turns back, and Tony is gone.

Nikolas calls Jax, and tells Jax to call him back. Their situation has been compromised.

Ava thanks Jax. He reminded her of something she hadn’t realized she’d forgotten. He asks, what’s that? and she says she heard Laura call him after she’d seen Nikolas at the gallery. She overheard Laura tell him that he and Hayden shouldn’t ask her about the painting  of Helena. Now it makes sense why he’s there extending his sympathy. Jax insists it’s 100% genuine, and Ava says, right. He’s overflowing with sympathy for her; the woman he accused of killing Connie. The only thing he wants to unburden her of is the painting of Helena. Jax says he was going to ask her about it when she… She says, when she what? She sees him; him and his friend the mayor. So kind, thoughtful, and compassionate. Did they think they could take advantage of her? He says that’s not what’s going on, but she says, they’ll take nothing from her. Not now, not ever. She made the mistake of trusting him once, and she won’t make that mistake ever again. He’ll going to take advantage of her.

Maxie tells Lulu, so they spent Halloween with a mob of teenagers. What’s next? Lulu doesn’t know, and Maxie says, please tell her that she said she had a great time with him, and can’t wait to see him again. Lulu thinks she generally conveyed that message, and Maxie asks if she conveyed it with a kiss. Lulu can’t believe Maxie is asking her that, and Maxie says she’ll take that as yes. She looks at Lulu, and Lulu says, what? Maxie says them, having tea and gossiping about themselves and others. Lulu says, are they becoming normal? Maxie wouldn’t go that far, but they can allow themselves one normal night. They toast, to besties; no drama.

Willow tells Brad that he has an open invitation if he wants to talk about anything. Brad says he’ll remember that. She’s sure he’ll sort it out, and tells him to give Wiley a hug for her. She leaves, and Brad smiles. As she goes out the door, Willow smacks into Cassandra. She asks if Cassandra is okay, and Cassandra says she’s fine. She just needs her evening sugar fix. Willow says, insider tip; they have chocolate chip, and chocolate chip with bacon. Either way, she’s a winner. Cassandra says she’s a lifesaver. Cassandra looks inside, and sees Charlotte at the counter.

Brad leaves a message for Lucas that he’s at Kelly’s, and to let him know if he can bring Lucas anything.

Julian shows up at Tony’s grave. He tells Lucas that his mom said he could find Lucas there. Lucas asks what he wants.

Bobbie looks at Tony’s photo on the wall, and touches it. She wishes he could be there, and see their son becoming a father. He’d be so proud of their boy. She feels Tony behind her, touching her hand. He leans his head on hers, and fades away. She touches her cheek, and smiles.

Jax says he’s sorry Ava misunderstood. He’ll come back when she’s more herself. Ava says, no, he won’t. She won’t let him get his hands on the painting, but have fun searching. She’s stashed that monstrosity in a place no one will ever find it. He tells her, take care, and feel better. Ava says she may be crazy, but she’s not crazy. (If this was a Tarantino movie, that line would be slightly different. There would be another word before the second crazy.)

A guard tells Chase that he’s there to take Sam back to Pentenville. Chase asks him to give Jason and Sam a minute. Jason and Sam hug, and he says he’ll see her soon. Be safe. They exchange I love yous, and the guard takes her. Chase’s phone rings, and he says, put him through. He tells Jason, Cassandra has been spotted.

In the van, Nikolas says he saw the woman they’re looking for. She’s on Telegraph near Parkland. Chase asks him to describe her, and he does. He adds that he can’t be positive, but he’s pretty sure she has a gun. Chase thanks him, and he says he’s just trying to do his civic duty.

Cassandra walks into Kelly’s. Maxie gripes to Lulu about closet space, and Cassandra goes up to Charlotte, sitting next to her. She says, remember her? Charlotte opens her mouth, and Cassandra says, don’t scream or Nina will be in a lot of trouble. Charlotte asks what she means, and Cassandra says, shhh… Charlotte can save her, but she has to do everything Cassandra tells her.

On Monday, Julian asks Lucas not to do this, Obrecht asks Brad what he’s done to cover his tracks, and Cassandra tells Charlotte that no one is going to find them.

October 25, 2019 – Doc Surprises Everyone, Jersey Finger Pointing, Heidi’s Halloween, Two Spectra Of Quotes & Dusty’s Slant

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

Due to circumstances beyond my control, Halloween festivities postponed until tomorrow. Therefore here’s the whole enchilada.

General Hospital

At Crimson, Valentin asks if Nina wants to go shopping. She asks if it’s fun shopping or boring shopping, and he says fun shopping. They talked swapping out the artwork at Windymere, but the wedding preparations got in the way. Now that they’re back on track, he thought they should check out some local galleries. Nina says she’d love to, but she’s swamped. He says they could do it another day, but she says she trusts him, and he has exquisite taste. Anything is an improvement over Helena’s portrait. Nina’s assistant Judy (where did she come from?) delivers a box for Nina. Valentin says it’s not from him. There’s a bottle of champagne inside, and Valentin says, it’s expensive. He wonders who wants to curry favor from her, but Nina says she wouldn’t go that far. A note congratulates Nina for kicking Valentin to the curb. It’s from Spencer.

On the phone at Kelly’s, Laura thanks someone, and fauns a little. Doc walks in, and asks if he should be jealous. She says, which answer will get her a kiss? And he tells her, any of them. She says she was talking to Dr. Clark, the art professor at PCU. Doc asks if she’ll be able to contact the artist who painted Helena’s portrait, but she says, unfortunately, J. Garrin passed away. He asks if she still believes there are clues in the painting. She says she does. That’s why it’s important that they find it before it’s too late.

Ava explains to Trina that the back room is where they keep the paintings that are in rotation. They store the other art in a facility. Trina asks if she only keeps records online, or does she have handwritten backup? Ava says, that’s a shrewd question. In art, providence is everything, so she keeps handwritten records as well. Trina suggests they put Helena’s portrait in the back room. It’s like the eyes are watching her everywhere she goes. Ava looks at the painting, and thinks Trina is right. It might be bad for business. They carry it to the back.

Lulu goes to Dustin’s classroom, and he asks if she’s still speaking to him. He’s sorry he had to cancel their date, but the faculty assembly ran long, and he has a bunch of essays to correct. She tells him that he doesn’t have to apologize, but he says he feels bad. She figures he hasn’t had a break, and brought the date to him. She knows it’s traditional to bring a hardworking teacher an apple, but – she closes the door, and takes a bottle out of her tote bag – will cider work instead?

Jason and Diane visit Sam at Pentonville, and asks if she’s okay. She nods, and says she misses the kids. She misses him, but it could be worse. Her cellmate is in solitary right now. He asks if she knows why, and Sam says she attacked her cellmate. Okay, I laugh. She asks Diane if there’s any chance she’ll be out soon, but Diane says there’s only so much she can do. Brice is gone, and there’s no one to corroborate his statement. They also lack evidence to debunk his claim.

Outside Nina’s office, Maxie says Peter knows Valentin better than anyone. Is there the slightest chance Valentin is telling the truth, and he and Obrecht had nothing to do with it? Peter doesn’t answer, and she says he won’t stop staring at his phone. He says he’s getting updates on Franco’s competency hearing.

Scotty asks Kim how far she’d go to lessen her grief over Oscar. She’s not sure what he means, and he asks if she doesn’t want another baby. Martin says, relevance, and the judge lets it slide, but urges Scotty to get to the point. Scotty asks if it’s true that Kim drugged the original Drew Cane, so she could conceive a child against his will. Kim stammers, and He says, yes or no. Did she drug a man to have a child with an unwilling participant? She says, yes.

Valentin tells Nina that Spencer hasn’t lost his proclivity for being annoying. He’s going to have egg on his face when he sees what he spent for nothing. Nina says she’s going to send it back. She’s trying to be virtuous. She tells him to go make art selections, and she’ll finish up at Crimson.

Sam asks what the chances are she’ll be convicted of Shiloh’s murder? Diane says it’s net neutral, and the only real evidence they have is Nurse Sheri, but that’s hearsay. That the PCPD was so ready to dismiss the charges speaks volumes. She’d say the odds in Sam’s favor are good. Jason asks what the time table is, and Diane says they have one option that could speed up the process.

Maxie tells Peter, she thought spending time with her would be more interesting than the competency hearing of a man he barely knows. Peter flashes back to Shiloh telling him that Drew might know more about him than he thinks. He tells Maxie, it’s an historic ruling, one way or the other. Maxie says, whoever wins, it’s going to be devastating. Why can’t The Invader run good news? Lucy comes in, and says, if it’s good news Maxie wants, it’s good news she shall receive. She’s about to make Peter’s dreams come true. (Oops. From the preview, I thought it must be Sasha.)

Kim says she didn’t go through with it. She admitted it and apologized. Scotty says did she have a change of heart, or did someone stop her? She says someone stopped her, and Scotty asks if it’s true that she’d have gone through with sexual assault if she hadn’t been stopped. Martin objects, saying this is a specific event that didn’t happen, and the judge says, sustained. (Boo! Hiss!) Kim says she knows it’s inexcusable, but she was grieving for her son, and confused. Scotty asks if she’s still grieving, and she says, yes, of course (🍷). He says, so is she still confused? Is that why she wants Franco to retain Drew’s memory? Perhaps she’d like to have another child with a dead man.

Martin says, objection; badgering the witness. Scotty says the witness is Martin’s biggest advocate for Franco’s medical competency. Franco gets up, and says, stop, but the Judge tells Martin to control his client. (She’s back on my good side.) Scotty says he’s made his point; no further questions. Martin has no redirect, so the judge says they’ll take a brief recess. Kim goes back to her seat, and Elizabeth tells Scotty, that was so brutal. He says, it has to be. He told her that he’d do what needed to be done.

Dustin tells Lulu the cider is even better than an apple, and she asks if he doesn’t mind that she showed up uninvited. She hasn’t seen him since she ruined Nina’s wedding. Dustin says, by telling her the truth. Lulu says, the situation was spiraling out of control. She thanks him, saying she has no one to confide in. Maxie’s too close to it. Dustin can’t imagine how confused Charlotte is. She loves Nina so much, and it must have been distressing for Nina to move out instead of getting married. Lulu says, that’s the thing. Nina took him back.

Alone at her desk, Ava flashes back to when she asked Laura if she gets the sense of being watched, and asking if Laura thinks she’s crazy. Valentin walks in, and Ava nearly goes through the ceiling. She says, what the hell? Why is he sneaking up on her? He says he wasn’t aware coming in the gallery door was sneaking up. He’s looking for some new artwork; maybe commissioning a portrait. She wonders if he’ll be on his trusty steed, but no matter what pose, he’ll considered overcompensating. Valentin says he was thinking of a family portrait; him, Nina, and Charlotte. Ava says if he thinks Nina is going to forgive him, he’s beyond delusional. He tells her that she’s behind the times. Nina took him back, and they’re more committed than ever.

Judy asks if Nina wants her to send back the champagne, but Nina says, it’s too nice to go to waste. She gives Judy some other office work.

Laura asks Doc how it went with Ava. He says, Ava’s not officially his patient, but… She understands; he wants to protect Ava’s privacy. She asks if he isn’t supposed to be at Franco’s competency hearing. Doc says he’s Scotty’s last witness. She’s surprised Doc’s not there already, and he says he didn’t want it to be hard on Franco. He must feel like he’s on display. He adds that she might want to come along. Elizabeth can use all the support she can get.

Martin asks Franco where he was stationed when he met Kim, and he says, San Diego. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2003, and recorded as missing until 2012. Martin says, nine years. He asks if Franco remembers where he had shore leave, and he says, Barcelona, Berlin, and in July of 2010, he was in Turkey. Scotty objects, saying, these are the life events of Drew Cane. The witness is perjuring himself. Martin says he’s answering questions citing time and place; events as he remembers them. The judge says, overruled. Martin asks if Franco recalls what Kim just admitted to, saying she drugged Drew Cane. Franco says, of course, it was like, two minutes ago. Not really, but come on. Franco says, yes, and Martin asks, was she saying she drugged him? Franco says, no, it was the other Drew Cane, the one whose plane went down. Martin says, she never did that to him? He says, no, and Martin says the plaintiff just demonstrated awareness of time, space, and situations. His process of recollection determines that he’s of sound mind and body, as they’d need to prove in order to make a will, or agree to surgery. This has gone beyond the scope of egregious. He has no further questions. Franco looks a little confused. Is he rethinking this?

Cameron asks Elizbeth, what is it? She doesn’t know why, but July 2010 is significant. She can’t remember why. She suddenly says, oh my God. Scotty says, what? and she says, nothing. He says, if she doesn’t tell him, he’ll look it up.

Ava tells Valentin it’s impossible that Nina took him back. He tells her, take it up with Nina. They’ve rescheduled the wedding. She says, it’s because he’s Valentin Cassadine, the man who gets away with everything. Not this time. She grabs her jacket, and walks out. Valentin says, he guesses he should show himself out? He leaves, and Trina comes out, looking for Ava.

Diane tells Sam, the law entitles her to a bench trial, where the judge will render a verdict. It has the benefit of being quicker than a jury trial, since they don’t have to choose and question a jury. The judge stipulates the facts and evidence. She has no reason to doubt it won’t work in Sam’s favor. Jason says, it’s all up to the judge, and Diane says the judge who’s set to hear the case is Judge Madrigal; she’s famously pragmatic. Sam says, it’s a lot to think about. She asks Diane for some privacy, and when Diane leaves the room, she asks Jason what he thinks. He says he’s not comfortable putting Sam’s future in one person’s hands.

Peter says Lucy is going to make his dreams come true? She says the luxury condo he couldn’t get? Now he can. The buyer fell through, and she has first crack at it. He can have it if he acts fast. Maxie say’s he’ll take it, but Peter says he’s not ready just yet.

Scotty says Franco testified that he was on leave in Turkey in 2010. Franco says, right, and Scotty says, would he also say that included July 23rd? Franco says, yes, and Scotty says he’d like to enter into evidence, an article from the L.A. Prodigal from that date. Martin tries object, and the judge – who is playing with me today – tells Scotty, proceed. He reads Murder at the Mocha. A strangling at the art show on July 23rd; it’s believed the artist was the culprit. Does he have any idea who that was? Franco says, nope, and Scotty asks if he’s sure. Franco says he was in Turkey, and Scotty says, even if he was in Turkey, didn’t he read about it? How does he explain this? Scotty asks if this rings a bell, and shows Franco a picture of himself.

Maxie says she thought that was the condo Peter wanted; one big enough for all of them. It’s the one he took the $35K from the bank to put a down payment on. What changed? Ava storms out of the elevator, asking if Nina’s in there. Before Maxie can say anything, she walks into Nina’s office. Lucy wonders what that’s about. Ava tells Nina that she wants her scotch back. Nina says she thought it was a peace offering, and Ava says she thought they understood each other. She not wasting time burying the hatchet on a woman who would take back Valentin Cassadine.

Valentin sees Laura outside of Kelly’s, and says he wants a word. Doc says he doesn’t think so, but Laura says, it’s okay, and tells him to go on ahead. She tells Valentin, she’s assuming this is about Charlotte, but he says it’s about another of her grandchildren; Spencer. She’s his guardian, and responsible for him. Is she aware of the hell he’s trying to create?

Scotty asks Franco if the artist seems familiar, and tells him to read the caption under the picture. Franco reads, the artist Franco is being questioned in two murders. Scotty says, it’s a picture of him, but Franco says he wasn’t there. Scotty says, clearly, he was. He wasn’t in Turkey; he was in L.A. The LAPD was questioning him on two murder charges. Franco says, no, they were questioning Franco. Scotty asks how can the plaintiff be mentally competent when he can’t remember being questioned for two murders. No more questions. Elizabeth says she didn’t want Scotty to do what he did, and he says he’d do anything to get his son back.

Lulu tells Dustin that Valentin acted just as surprised as Nina, saying he had nothing to do with it. Dustin says, come on, and she says, that’s how he’s spinning it. Dustin says, and Nina chose to believe it. Lulu tells him, Sasha and Obrecht didn’t say it outright, but they implied Valentin was in on it. He says no wonder she’s a reporter, and she says to be honest, she came by it naturally. Both of her parents have a pathological need to right wrongs, and be heroes. He needs to get used to it if he’s going to be around her. He says he’s glad she thinks he’ll be around long enough to get used to it.

Lucy asks what Maxie and Peter think Nina and Ava are talking about. Not a follow-up piece? Or maybe Ava is mad that they’re not doing one. Maxie says Peter suddenly doesn’t want the condo? Lucy says she’s seen it before. When it gets to signing on the dotted line, the buyer panics. She tells Peter not to be nervous. She needs his commitment, or someone else will snap it up. Peter says, the condo is fine. It’s just… Maxie tells Lucy that Peter will call her, and Lucy says, don’t take too long. She leaves, and Maxie says she thought this is what Peter wanted; something big enough for her and James to move into. Isn’t that what he wants? He says he wants it more than anything, but he’s worried about something getting in the way of their happiness. Maxie says, like what?

Jason tells Sam that just a judge will be determining if she’s innocent or guilty. It still scares him that it’s just one person. Sam says, a jury could be bias, especially if they know her history. They could find her guilty. Jason says they need to  catch Peter. Sam says, especially if Franco loses. Then they can forget it.

Martin says his medical witness has been unavoidably detained, but thinks she’ll be there within the hour; there was an emergency. Trina slips in. She tells Cameron that she figured he needed a friend, and it’s more interesting than anything she’d binge watch. Doc comes in, and Scotty asks if the judge can hear his testimony now. Doc thinks they need to talk first, but Scotty says he’ll be fine. Martin agrees, and the judge tells Scotty, okay. Scotty tells Elizabeth, he’s going to send it home. Doc is sworn in, and Scotty says he’s the closer; the cat’s in the bag. Scotty tells Doc that he’ll just cut to the chase. Doc is Franco’s regular therapist, right? Doc says he is, and he recently had a session with him at Shadybrook for the purpose of determining Franco’s competency. Scotty says, in Doc’s expert opinion, is the man in question completely in control of his faculties? Doc says, yes, and Kim smirks. I want to smack her.

Jason tells Sam that he doesn’t like the idea of a bench trial, but he’s not the one sitting behind bars. It’s her decision, and he’ll support no matter what. She says she knows. Diane thought the judge would be objective, and they’ll get it over with faster. She hates being away from Danny and Scout, and doesn’t want to be away from them any longer

Scotty believes Doc misunderstood, but Doc says his answer is definitive. After speaking with Franco, he meets the legal standards. Really? It’s okay to think you’re someone else now? Another real person? There must be a lot of Jesuses out there. Scotty asks if Franco said he was Franco, and Doc says, no. He believes himself to be Drew Cane, but that doesn’t mean he’s unaware, and incapable of making medical decisions. Scotty says, the man in question is legally Franco. So how can Doc say he’s in his right mind? Martin says Scotty is badgering his own witness. Scotty asks for permission to refer to the witness as hostile, and the judge asks, on what grounds? He’s Scotty’s medical expert. Scotty has no further questions. Martin says, just to be clear. Doc doesn’t support Elizabeth continuing as Franco’s medical proxy. Doc says, no, because the man he examined, however he identifies himself, is fully aware of making decisions, and capable of choosing medical care. I have a headache, and the judge asks if there are any other witnesses except for Martin’s expert. Martin says they don’t need to wait. He concurs with Scotty’s witness. No other witnesses are necessary. The judge says she’ll take a short recess to deliberate. Scotty looks defeated, and Cameron says, this is bad, isn’t it? Franco holds Kim. Bleh.

Well how about this? If Franco thinks he’s a totally different existing person (I know Drew is dead, but he was a real human), wouldn’t he be making medical decisions for someone else? He’d need Franco’s permission. It’s not like he thinks he’s a woman, and that’s the kind of situation they’re comparing it to. This is driving me nuts. Come on, Scotty, think.

Nina tells Ava that she needs to leave, and Ava says Nina needs to wake up. She doesn’t honestly think Sasha came up with all this on her lonesome; faked three DNA tests, and duped Valentin? She’s barely old enough to rent a car. Nina says it’s not Ava’s concern, and she knows nothing. Ava tells Nina to open her eyes. Valentin is obsessed with her; she’s gotten under his skin. He’ll tell himself that he’s doing it in her best interest. He’ll tell any lie, and break any rule. He’ll do whatever he can do to keep her by his side, and he’ll never let her move on. Nina asks if Ava is still talking about her, or projecting what Ryan did to Ava?

Valentin says Laura had no idea that Spencer sent champagne to Nina’s office, no doubt on her dime, taunting them about their interrupted wedding. As a child, he was a nuisance; as an adolescent, he’s becoming problematic. If he ever becomes a threat, Valentin will deal with Spencer the way he deals with threats. Laura asks if he’s threatening to harm her grandson. He says, of course (🍷) not, but he knows things that would make life difficult for Spencer. She says, like what? and he tells her, tighten the leash. That’s all he has to say.

Ava tells Nina, throwing Ryan in her face is a low blow, even for her. Nina says she’s sympathetic to what happened to Ava. It was sick, horrible, and beyond imagination, but Valentin isn’t Ryan. He’s not a killer. Ava says he killed Nikolas right in front of her. Nina says Ava was quick to offer her support, but not to help her; to hurt Valentin. Ava may have been a fool for Ryan, but Nina is nobody’s fool. Ava says they’ll see about that an walks out. Nina takes out the champagne.

Lulu tells Dustin, not that it wasn’t fun, but she’d love to get a real date on the books. She asks how his schedule is tomorrow, and he says, even more harrowing. He’s chaperoning the Halloween dance. Lulu says, the Haunted Star is hosting it; she’d forgotten. He says she must be taking Rocco and Charlotte trick-or-treating, but she says, Olivia and Ned are taking them with Leo. She has a rare night off. What about next week? He says he’s allowed to bring a guest. Would she like to be his date to the dance?

Diane tells Sam and Jason that she double-check, and the judge is still confirmed to hear Sam’s case. She sweet talked the clerk, and can get it heard in a couple of days. Jason asks what she thinks, and Diane says she thinks the judge is fair, but it’s a big decision. Ultimately, it rests with Sam. Sam says she wants to get home as soon as possible. Let’s do the bench trial.

Peter wonders if they should check on Nina, but Maxie says, she can handle Ava. She wants to talk about them. What could get in the way of their happiness? Peter’s phone dings, and she says, it’s a teachable relationship moment. This is not the time to be on the phone. He stares at the phone, and she says, what is it? He says, the hearing. The judge is coming back with a decision.

Kim tells Franco that she’s sorry he had to hear about what she did to Drew. It was a horrible time for her. The judge tells everyone to be seated. She’s made a determination in the competency hearing of Franco Baldwin.

Julian is surprised, Lucas and Brad go to therapy, and the judge renders a decision.

General Hospital

Hanging out in Sonny’s kitchen, Michael tells Carly which picture of Donna he prefers for her screen saver. She says she can’t pick just one. He says, Donna is almost as adorable as he was as a baby, and she says, and equally dramatic. They’re having a welcome home party when Donna is able to come home. Sonny suggests Michael bring Sasha, and Carly asks if they had fun at the wedding. Michael says he wouldn’t call it fun, or a wedding.

At the station, Jordan snatches Sasha’s file out of Curtis’s hands, and asks what he’s doing. He says, a little light reading. She asks how he came by it, and he says the file was sitting there, looking all unattended and stuff. She says she’ll speak to Chase about that. As for him… He says he knows he crossed the line, but the mess with Sasha is partly his fault, but she says, absolutely not. He says he’d feel better if he knew how an amateur like Sasha could pull off a con like this, and she says, this town is riddled with liars.

Lucas tells Julian, he and Brad cleared the air. Some of it, at least. Julian says, it takes work, and Lucas says, and sometimes, a third party. Therapy isn’t for everybody, but Brad says Dr. Bern has a good reputation. Julian says, Neil Bern? Lucas says, yeah, and Julian says, Brad’s therapist is Alexis’s boyfriend?   

Sam tells Alexis that she’s sorry. Alexis accepts her apology, because that’s what mother’s do. However, she wants to register a formal complaint. It was difficult to hear from Diane that Sam has been arrested twice. Sam says she didn’t want worry Alexis, and Alexis says, yet here she is; worried. Sam says they didn’t think it would get this far. The evidence was bogus, and the information fabricated. Robert was just about to drop the case. Alexis says, this is a Federal case, and the Feds are going to be diligent about it. Not because they want to put Sam in prison, but they’re hoping she flips on Jason. Sam says, never, and Alexis says, they don’t know that. Jason comes in and says, the Feds are about to find out they have no case. He sat down with Brice Henderson, and laid out Brice’s options. Sam asks if Brice gave any names.

Ryan wipes his bloody hand on a towel, and says, neat and tidy. He can’t say same for his cellmate though, can he? Brice’s arm hangs down from the top bunk, dripping blood. Ryan talks to Ava’s picture, saying, sorry dear. His new cellmate was a horrible slob. He doesn’t know what the warden was thinking. They’re completely incompatible. He calls to the guard, and says, something terrible has happened.

Ava eats one of her martini olives, and stares into space. Laura says she’s a million miles away. Ava says just fifteen. Maximum security is just a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown. Laura can’t tell her that she never thinks of Ryan. Laura says she refuses to give him that power. Ava says Laura is a bonafide anti-victim. Good for her. Laura says she learned how to be strong from overcoming the obstacles in her own life. Ava says Laura is still living up to her own example, and Laura says Ava is strong too. Ava says, don’t speak too soon. there’s still plenty of time to prove Laura wrong. Someone watches.

Laura doesn’t think drinking helps, and Ava says she tried Laura’s way. Not all of them make it through on water alone. Laura asks if she has someone to talk to; Julian, or a friend? Ava says she’s boring Laura, but Laura says, not at all. She’s just concerned Ava doesn’t have enough of a support system. Ava  says, concerned about her? Please don’t be. Laura says, but she is. She knows what it feels like to lose a child. She wants to help Ava. Ava says she can help by helping to get the death penalty reinstated. Laura says, killing Ryan won’t bring Kiki back, or give Ava peace. Ava says she thinks it would be a tremendous relief, knowing the man who violated her daughter was snuffed out of existence. He’s always lurking, just outside her field of vision. He’s still thinking about her; dreaming, planning. His eyes are always on her. Right now she can feel him watching her. Can Laura?

Carly asks, who left who at the altar? Her bet’s on Nina. Sonny says, Valentin might have left Nina for her own good, but Carly says, he’d never be that noble. Michael says, it was Nina who left Valentin, and Carly and Sonny laugh. Carly wants details, and Michael says, the wedding started on time. The bride walked down the aisle, and they exchanged lovely vows. Then Lulu stood up and announced that Sasha was only pretending to be Nina’s daughter. Carly says, Michael’s Sasha? It isn’t true, right? Lulu made a mistake. Michael says, Sasha confirmed she’s not Nina’s daughter. When Nina heard that, she assumed Valentin was involved, and walked out. Sonny is sorry, and says it must be hard on Michael, and Carly says, not so hard that he didn’t walk away from her right then and there. He did walk away, didn’t he?

Curtis asks Jordan if it doesn’t bother her that Sasha was able to beat more than one DNA test, and was able to fool so many people for so long? Jordan says she helped him squeeze the truth out of that dirty adoption lawyer. Yes, it bothers her. He says she doesn’t seem so bothered. She says, Andre was nearly murdered, Drew’s plane went down under mysterious circumstances, and the Feds are charging Sam with murder based on a raft of questionable evidence. So yes, it bothers her, but it’s also of decidedly low priority. She looks forward to the outcome of his investigation. Jordan’s phone rings. She says she’ll send a detective right away, and tells Chase he needs to get to Pentenville right now.

Jason tells Alexis, when Brice found out they could prove he almost killed Andre, he decided to cooperate. Alexis says, so the person who helped Shiloh escape, also stabbed Andre? Jason says Andre ID’d him, and Alexis asks what are the odds that someone would take on two high profile jobs like that at the same time? Sam says, the odds are a lot better, and work in their favor, if they’re connected. Now they just need to know what Brice thinks. Jason says, starting with who hired him. Alexis takes it that they have a theory. Jason says, Drew used to work with Shiloh in Afghanistan, and tracked down Andre to help Franco. Then Drew went missing. Alexis says, so Drew’s the connection. Sam says, yeah, and Alexis asks how it fits. Sam says, hell if she knows, and Jason says, whoever hired Brice knows.

Brad tells Julian that he didn’t know Alexis was seeing anyone, and Lucas says he didn’t either. Is that a problem? Julian says, not for him, but maybe for them. Didn’t Alexis handle Wiley’s adoption? You never know what might come up. A lot of stuff is said in therapy. Lucas says, which is confidential. Julian says, it should be. What do they know about Neil? Brad says, he helped Kristina. Lucas says, Alexis is dating him, and he doubts she’d be happy with a psychiatrist who violated confidentiality. If he’s good enough for her, he’s good enough for them. Lucas has to get to work, and leaves. Julian asks why Brad didn’t tell him that Neil was his therapist. Brad asks, why would he? Therapy is private, and it’s his business. Julian says, it’s his business too, since Brad decided to tell him the truth about Wiley. It’s too risky. He tells Brad to fire Neil, but Brad says, no. Julian says, don’t tell him no, and Brad says he just did. What’s Julian going to do about it?

Alexis asks if Sam and Jason have any idea who’s behind this. Sam says they’ve had their suspicions. Jason says, it stays in this room, and Alexis says she’s familiar with the concept of confidentiality. Sam says they think it’s Peter. Alexis says, Maxie’s boyfriend? and Sam says, Faison’s son. The man who kept Jason prisoner for five years. Jason says he’s also Anna’s son, so he’s been giving Peter the benefit of the doubt out of respect for her, but he knows how Peter works. Peter says he kept Jason alive as an act of conscience, but he was really keeping Jason in reserve to kill his father. It’s the same basic set up. Peter uses a middleman, and keeps his hands clean. Alexis says, it’s a compelling story. Do they have any evidence to support it? Jason says Brice had a big reaction to Peter’s name. Alexis asks if he confirmed that, and Jason says, not in so many words, but he said he’d talk if he can make a deal with the Feds.

Brice’s body bag is zipped up. Chase calls Jordan and tells her, Brice Henderson is dead. Jordan asks how that happened, and Chase says, if you don’t look too close, you’d think it’s self-inflicted. Jordan asks, what if you did look close? and he says he’d bet his money on Brice’s serial killer cellmate.

Ava asks if Laura feels that? The sense of being watched. Laura says she’s felt it before in life. Ava says Laura thinks she sounds crazy, but Laura says she doesn’t. She thinks it’s justified and understandable, but it’s a sign Ava needs help.

Julian puts his arm around Brad, and says he’s trying to help him. Brad says, help would have been neutralizing Obrecht when he asked Julian to. Julian says Brad asked him to kill her, and Brad says he asked Julian to keep his grandson safe. Julian turned him away, and he was on his own. His anxiety got so severe, he was having heart palpitations. He needed to do something to keep his head from popping off his neck. Julian says he’s sorry he’s not being more patient. He’ll do better, and so will Brad in treatment – with anyone else. Brad says, someone else might not give him what he wants, and it’s too late. Lucas is all in now. Neil wants him to bring Lucas in for a session; he wants to talk to them both. Julian says, the guy is already a problem. What happens when he says he can tell Brad is holding something back. Brad says he’ll cover, but Julian says Neil is too good; he’ll be able to tell Brad is lying. Brad says he knows what he’s doing. Julian may not have faith in him, but he has faith in himself, and so does Lucas. Brad walks out, and Julian says, not for long, and makes a call.

At the hospital, Lucas looks at a pamphlet on therapy. Curtis asks if he’s in analysis, and Lucas says he’s thinking about it. Curtis says, it’s not for the faint of heart. He tried it with family. He’s been shot at, blown up, been in a dumpster with rats the size of Dobermans, but nothing prepared him for getting mental with Jordan, and his auntie. Lucas says, both at the same time? Curtis says, good way to go crazy. Lucas says Curtis isn’t exactly easing his mind. Curtis says, it was rough, but ultimately, the experience was a healing one. It didn’t take right away; it took a couple of months. Lucas wonders if it helped, and Curtis says, eventually. Lucas asks if Curtis is a fan now, and Curtis says he loves expressing his thoughts and feelings so much, his wife says he’s an oversharer. Lucas says his expectations are pretty low. He’d settle for a tidbit from Brad. Curtis says, Lucas and him both.

Carly asks Michael to please tell her that he ditched Sasha. Michael says he can’t, because he didn’t. Sonny is sure Michael has his reasons, but Carly says, what reason could there be? Sasha told a church full of people that she was a fraud. Michael says, there’s more to it than that. Carly is sure there is. Sasha came from a broken home, she has a personality disorder, or Nina deserved it. It doesn’t matter. No reason is good enough. Michael asks if it would make Carly feel better to know Sasha had decide to come clean with Nina, and Carly says, is that what Sasha told him? She saw the error of her ways, and had every intention of fessing up? Michael says, it’s true. She’d already told him she made that decision. Sonny says Michael is smarter than that, but Michael says Sasha already told him that she wasn’t Nina’s daughter weeks ago.

Brad comes out of the hospital elevator, and Lucas says Curtis was just looking for him. Brad asks, what for? and Curtis says he’s curious about lab procedure. Brad says, his? but Curtis says, no, just in general. Brad says he can’t divulge protocol without clearance, and Curtis says, it’s not that heavy. It’s probably not what Brad is thinking. Lucas says, he remembers Sasha, right? Curtis says, it turns out she’s not Nina’s daughter, and Lucas says, Sasha was scamming her. Curtis says he’s the one who tracked down Sasha’s DNA sample; the one that proved the parent/child connection. Someone tampered with the sample. Lucas says, Curtis is trying to figure out how Sasha must have pulled it off, so they thought of Brad.

Ava tells Laura, it’s not paranoia or madness; it’s grief. Laura knows that, but it’s the kind of grief that can drown you if you let it. There’s no forgiving the death of a child, but you can learn to live with it.  She tells Ava not to isolate herself. Talk to people; share her pain. There’s no shame in that, but there’s real danger in succumbing to it. Laura’s phone rings, and she steps away to take the call. It’s Jordan, who says she has bad news she’d prefer to deliver in person, but she can’t get away. Laura asks what it is, and Jordan says, it’s Ryan. Laura looks at Ava, who says, what?

Carly says, Michael knew Sasha was lying to Nina? Michael says Sasha told him the night she was released from the hospital. Nina was so good to her when she was sick, Sasha couldn’t take it anymore. She told him that she wasn’t Nina’s daughter, and the whole thing was a lie. Carly says, it’s awful for Nina; she was so invested. Michael says Sasha had every intention of confessing to Nina after she told him, but he convinced her not to. Carly says, what? Why would he do that? Sonny says they’re in no position to judge, but Carly says she thought they raised Michael to be better than them. Not to make the same mistakes they did. This isn’t like him. Michael says, there was another consideration. Cassandra’s trial is coming up soon. He thought if Sasha confessed, it would cast doubt on her testimony, and weaken the case. It was a difficult decision, but Sasha agreed to hold off on confessing until after the trial. A few more months wouldn’t make any difference to Nina, but it would for Cassandra’s victims. Sonny says, it was a tough call, but the right one. He’d have done the same thing. Carly says, small comfort to Nina.

Laura tells Jordan to keep her apprised. She asks Jordan to call Julian, and tell him to get to the MetroCourt. His sister needs him. Ava downs her drink.

Alexis assumes Jason and Sam haven’t told Maxie their suspicions. Jason says they need to prove it, and Sam says they don’t want to tip Peter off, or put Maxie in danger. Jason says, so they’re waiting on Brice. Sam says, he’ll cut a deal, and hopefully tell them everything. Alexis says while they’re depending on the DOJ to make a deal, her priority is to get Sam out of there. Jordan comes in and says, Sam’s ride is here. Sam asks where she’s going, and Jordan says, to await trial in Pentenville. Sam looks at Jason.

Carly says, Sasha confessed to everyone at the church. Nina could easily press charges for fraud. Michael says, she won’t. Carly says, don’t be so sure. It was cruel. Sasha gave Nina a daughter, then took her away. Michael thinks Nina can be convinced not to call the cops. Carly says, by him? and Sonny asks if Michael thinks his influence can get Nina to back off, and Michael says he knows someone. Carly asks, who would advocate on Sasha’s behalf? and Michael says, someone who stands to lose more than Sasha did if the whole truth comes out. 

Lucas says, to run two DNA tests, Sasha had help on the inside, and Curtis says, she did claim she had a friend who knew their way around a DNA lab. Brad says it’s not him. It was him in the past, but he’s changed. Curtis says, no one is accusing him, but they thought he was an expert in lab procedure. Brad says, sorry. He doesn’t want to be that person again. Curtis says he’s not entirely sure Sasha is telling the whole truth. The tests were done in different labs. Could Sasha have an accomplice who helped in both places? Brad says, possible, but not probable. He has too much work on his hands to be taking on a second job. Lucas says, the samples provided would probably tell the tale, and Curtis says that’s what he was thinking. Can the test be rerun?

Alexis asks Jordan to tell the people at Pentenville to hold off. Jordan says she doesn’t like it either, but it’s not her call. It’s an FBI matter. Alexis says, Brice’s lawyer is setting up a deal that will exonerate Sam. Jordan asks, based on what? and Jason says, if he makes a deal, Brice will give up the name of the person who hired him, and information about other crimes. Jordan says, crimes other than breaking Shiloh out of police custody? and Jason says, Andre ID’d Brice as his attacker. Jordan says this is the first she’s hearing of this, and Jason says he told Andre to hold off until he could talk to Brice, before he could get a cover story in place. Jordan says, which would be acceptable if Jason was a detective, but he’s not. He has no authority to investigate, much less cut deals. Andre knows that, but she assumes he went along with it because he felt guilty for the part he played in the original memory transfer. Jason says Brice is a contractor. Somebody paid him to attack Andre, probably crash Drew’s plane, break Shiloh out of custody, and implicate Sam. Brice is apparently the busiest man in the world of crime. Jason says, Brice’s lawyer is talking to the Feds, and once the deal is done, he’ll give up the name. Jordan says, not anymore. Brice Henderson is dead.

Julian finds Ava, who asks what he’s doing there. Laura says she called him, and Ava wishes she hadn’t done that. Julian says he’s been busy putting fires out all over town; what happened? Ava says, Ryan killed again. Laura says, that hasn’t been confirmed, and Ava says, Ryan’s new cellmate stabbed himself the jugular with Ryan’s pen? Ryan killed him. Julian asks if there was a fight, but Laura says no one heard anything, and Ryan alerted the guard. Julian says, that makes no sense, and Ava says, nothing about Ryan makes sense. Ryan kills for a reason; to protect himself, or to fulfill his obsession. Ava says, or to please her

Chase shows Ryan his pen in a plastic bag, and Ryan says he was wondering where that went. Chase asks if he has a lot of writing to do, and Ryan says he has to keep up his correspondence. He doesn’t want to let his pen pal down. Chase thinks Ava wouldn’t mind if he missed a day or two, and Ryan says he’d be surprised. Can he have his pen back? Chase says, it became evidence the minute it was used to kill his cellmate. Ryan says, suicide is a terrible thing, and Chase says Brice might have survived if Ryan had alerted the guard sooner. Ryan says, what a man does with his life is his own business. It’s not much of a loss though; he lacked people skills. Chase asks how Ryan would know, since Brice just got there. Ryan says he’s a good judge of character. Probably all those years he spent as a doctor. Besides, any man who disrespects women isn’t worth the air he breathes. Chase takes down the Ava Crimson cover and says, with a photo like this staring at them, who could blame them? He bets a lot of guys wouldn’t mind disrespecting Ava. All night, every night. Ryan lunges at him, but the guard steps in.

Curtis asks Brad if they keep the original samples used for tests at GH. Brad says, most labs keep them for a couple of years, and Curtis says, so the test can be rerun. Lucas wonders why he wants to do that, and Curtis says Sasha was deliberately vague about how she pulled it off. Lucas says, maybe to protect her accomplice? Curtis says that’s what he wants to find out. If they use the same samples, this time with a trusted technician, will the results come back that Sasha’s not Nina’s daughter? Lucas says, what if the results come back the same way? and Curtis says, then something else is going on just as weird – and just as bad.

Sonny says, someone other than Sasha stands to lose? and Carly says, someone else was involved? Michael says, it wasn’t her idea. She doesn’t know how to fake DNA tests. Sonny says, Valentin does, and Carly says, of course (🍷). He and Nina were estranged, ready to get divorced. He wanted to convince Nina to forgive him. What’s more convincing than a long lost child? So he hired Sasha to go along with it. Sonny says, it makes sense, but Carly says, except for the part where Sasha confesses and takes all the blame. Why would she protect Valentin? Michael says, it was Sasha’s idea to take the blame. Sonny asks if Michael thinks he can hold this over Valentin to convince Nina not to press charges. Michael says, then Sasha has a way out. Carly says, it doesn’t change the fact that Sasha committed fraud against Nina, and Michael. She gets that Sasha confessed to him, but they’ve been dating for months. That means whatever relationship he thinks they have, is based on a lie. How is that different from Nelle? Michael says Sasha never manipulated him. She never asked for anything. Carly says, that’s what she’d do if she was playing him. Michael is a white knight, looking for someone to save. Sabrina took advantage of that, and so did Nelle. Can he tell her why Sasha is different?

Laura tells Ava, Ryan is responsible for his own behavior, not her. She gives them some privacy, and Ava says, don’t they know by now what Ryan is? Julian says the cellmate probably said something to offend him. He probably has a very low bar for irritation. Ava says he’s going to keep killing until he kills his way out. He’s going to kill his way to her, unless he’s killed first. Julian says he’ll never get out, and she says, tell Kiki that. He says he’d lay down his life before he’d let Ryan near her, but she says she can’t lose him too. He promises she won’t, but he’s afraid of losing her. She needs help that he doesn’t know how to give her. Ava says she’s too much trouble for him? He wants to get rid of her? He says he wants her back. The fierce, take no prisoners sister that he loves and fears. She asks, what if she’s gone? What if she buried that Ava along with Kiki?

Jason asks how Brice is dead, and Jordan says, his cellmate killed him. Jason says, somebody wanted to shut him up, but Jordan says, not unless Ryan was taking orders from Brice’s boss. They’re still piecing it together. He was just moved to the cell, and there’s no evidence Ryan knew of his crimes. An officer comes in, and says the van is ready. He cuffs Sam, and Alexis asks if it’s necessary. Jordan says they have to take extra precautions thanks to Shiloh. Alexis tells Sam to be strong. Sam asks Jason to tell the kids she loves them, and they exchange I love yous. Jason says he’ll get her out, and she says she knows he will.

Michael tells Sonny that he thought Carly would understand. She’s told her fair share of lies. Sonny says that’s why she’s suspicious of other liars, especially when it comes to him. Michael says if he thought Sasha had a malicious bone in her body, he’d walk away and never look back. But she’s just not the person who hurt Nina; she’s the person who wants to atone for it, even if there are criminal charges. Sonny says Michael won’t let that happen, and tells him to be careful.

Lucas says Brad seems tense, and Brad says he gets defensive when someone questions the lab’s integrity. Lucas says they can talk about it in therapy, and put that ghost to rest. Brad says he’s not the same guy he used to be. A nurse brings flowers in that were delivered to Brad, and he asks Lucas what he did to deserve them. Lucas says don’t look at him. Brad says, they’re not from him? and Lucas says he wishes he could say they were. He suggests looking at the card, but there isn’t one. The nurse says Brad has a secret admirer.

Julian thanks Laura, and says he’ll make sure Ava gets home safe. She says, Ava needs to get help. She’s  been where Ava is, and knows the desperation. She suggests Julian not leave Ava alone tonight. Jordan comes in, and asks for a word with Laura. Julian asks if it’s about Ryan. He needs to know before his sister does.

Ava leans against the wall. She remembers Ryan saying that when she gave herself to him, she brimmed with life and glowed with passion. She was happy and healthy. Now look at her. She can’t deny it. She needs him as much as he needs her. Ava says, no, no, no, no. He means nothing to her. She gets her coat. Laura and Jordan get in the elevator, and Julian is messing with his phone. Ava asks if Jordan had news about Ryan, and he says they need to get her home. She asks him to tell her what’s going on, and he says she needs to stop going there to visit Ryan. He’s obsessed with her, and the visits aren’t helping things. Ava asks what Jordan said, and he tells her, the evidence suggests that Ryan killed his cellmate. She says, of course (🍷) he did and…? Julian says, he did it for her. Ava collapses.

Chase tells the guard to take Ryan out. Ryan says he has no right do this, but Chase says, actually, he does. Ryan asks if Chase thinks he can’t order back issues of Crimson. Chase says, sure he can. Just make sure they don’t get lost in the mail.

Alexis tells Jason that Diane is in touch with Brice’s attorney. Hopefully, he divulged something before Ryan killed him. Jason says, what if he didn’t? and Alexis says, Sam’s going to trial. He says, Diane needs to file a motion to keep Sam in county lock-up. There’s no telling who she’ll run into in Pentenville.

Sam is put in her cell. The guard takes the cuffs off, and tells her that her cellmate is in solitary, but she’ll be back soon. Sam asks why she’s in solitary, and the guard tells her not to worry. They’ll have plenty of time to get to know one another. After all, every day is a new dawn. I get chills.

On Monday, Ava asks if Neil thinks she’s having a nervous breakdown, Finn asks Curtis how much he knows about what Hayden was doing when she was gone, and Jax asks Nina if something happened between her and Valentin.

General Hospital

Alexis brings Sonny a gift for the baby, a sippy cup that says Corinthos Coffee. He tells her Carly will love it. She asks how Carly and Donna are doing, and he says, great. They’re just waiting to get the all clear to bring Donna home. Alexis gets a text from Julian that he needs to see her asap. It’s about her client. She says, that’s great news; it should take the edge off. Sonny says, the edge off what?

At Charlie’s, Brad gives Julian a new welcome mat, saying it’s more of a welcome back mat, since he’s not leaving. A fresh start. Brad says now that he’s not leaving, Julian will be able to be around Lucas and Wiley all the time. Julian says, there is that. Brad says since he’ll be there, Julian can help out when problems arise. Julian asks what problem has arisen. Obrecht again? Brad says, no. Nelle.

At Crimson, Sasha packs up her stuff. Michael asks if she’s got everything. She nods, saying, it’s just a few odds and ends; her notepads with her name on them. Nina was so great to her. Caring for her as a real daughter, bringing her into Crimson to start a career. Now her life is as random as what’s in the box. Michael tells her she’s strong and she’ll get her footing again. She says, just without Nina. She looks at a picture of the two of them.

Valentin tells Nina that he was worried. She asks if Charlotte is there, and he says, she’s with Lulu. Nina says, good. She’s just there to pick up a few things to tide her over, and she’ll be on her way. He asks where she’s going, and she says, anywhere but here. It’s none of his business anymore, where she goes or with whom. He says, the hell it isn’t.

Sasha asks Michael if he thinks she should leave a note, and he says it’s her call. She guesses not. Nina would just tear up anything that she left. She can’t stand how much she hurt Nina, but Nina isn’t ready to hear anything she has to say. Lucy blows in, and says Sasha is just the person she’s looking for. Sasha says she’s on her way out, but Lucy says, no. She made Sasha a once in a lifetime offer, and she keeps saying she wants to think about it. Michael says they have to go, but Lucy says they can, as soon as Sasha answers her question. Is she going to be the new face of Deception or not? Sasha says she’s way ahead of Lucy.

Valentin tells Nina, whatever happens, he’s still the man who loves her. He’s still the man who would lay down his life for her. She says, the man who would manufacture a daughter for her? He understands why she’s angry. Yesterday was a tumultuous ride for both of them. She says, it wasn’t a ride; it was a betrayal of everything she believed in. He says Sasha’s lies were reprehensible, but they were Sasha’s lies. She asks if he thinks she believes he wasn’t involved. He asks her to consider the source. Lulu had been drinking, and overheard a conversation in a public restroom. She heard what she wanted to hear. Nina says she doesn’t trust Lulu, but she doesn’t trust him either anymore. They were estranged, about to be divorced, and he had a conversation with her now dead mother about her child, who survived and was adopted. Miracle on top of miracle, he found that child. She was so stupid, she took Sasha in, and brought him back into her life. Sasha isn’t her child. Sasha is a con woman, and he’s telling her that Sasha not only betrayed her, but the great Valentin Cassadine. He says she’s right. He went looking for her daughter to get her back.

Dev asks Josslyn, what’s this? She says it’s the homework he missed. It’s better to try and keep up than get hit with a bunch of makeup homework later. He says, it’s not fair. He’s not allowed off the grounds, and now he has homework. All because she ratted him out to her father.

Alexis shows Sonny the text, and he says, that’s a lot of exclamation marks. She says, Julian does have a flair for the dramatic. Sonny asks why he’s not leaving, and she says he’s had a change of plans. Sonny says, Olivia is furious. She’s thinking of suing Julian, and he hopes she cleans him out.

Brad says he wants Julian to help protect Wiley and Lucas. Julian asks if it’s like the Obrecht situation. Does Brad want him to knock off Nelle? Brad says, Nelle is the last wildcard, and he needs help to contain her. Julian says, it’s too much. It’s Brad’s mess; he needs to clean it up. Brad says, what if he can’t, and Nelle spills everything? He and Julian have been seen together. Sonny will do the math, and put together that Julian was in it. And he’s not the only one. How does Julian think Lucas will feel when he finds out his father was a part of it? Julian asks if Brad is threatening him, and Brad says he’s making sure Julian knows where he stands. Julian grabs Brad by the throat, and says he wants to make sure Brad knows where he stands. He doesn’t take kindly to threats. Ava comes in, and says she doesn’t think Lucas would take kindly to Julian strangling his husband.

Josslyn tells Dev that she couldn’t keep lying to her dad, but her dad won’t sell him out. He wouldn’t do anything to hurt Dev because it would hurt her. Dev asks how it would hurt her if he got sent away? She says she’d feel responsible, so she’s doing what she can to fix it. She starts to type a text, and Dev asks what she’s doing. She says, fixing it.

Alexis tells Sonny that Julian seems committed to staying on the right path. She hasn’t seen any backsliding. Has he heard anything? Sonny says, not yet. She says, since Julian isn’t going anywhere, she thinks it would behoove them to continue to cultivate the current détente. He says she has more faith in Julian than he does.

Ava asks Julian if this is the afternoon floorshow, or do they require a referee? Julian says, the show’s over. Right? He tells Brad, give his best to Lucas and Wiley, and shoves him toward the door. Brad jets, and Ava asks if he’d like to tell her what that was all about. He says, it’s a family matter. Brad asked him to intervene, and he told Brad that he didn’t take sides. She says, so he was driving the point home by choking him? and Julian says, sometimes you need to be blunt, especially with people who won’t take no for an answer. She must know people like that. She says, a few, and tells him to pour her a drink and tell her about Nina’s wedding. She can’t believe he was invited. He says he gave Nina her start at Crimson. Ava says he hired her hoping she’d drive the magazine into the ground, so he could write it off as a loss. He thinks maybe Nina wanted to rub her success in his face, but he didn’t go. She was hoping for some juicy details, and wonders if Nina tripped going down the aisle toward her groom of doom. He says he heard Nina’s eyes were opened before they said their vows. He went to the reception to drop off a gift, and it was a ghost town, except for a few people taking advantage of the open bar. Apparently, Nina stormed out of her own wedding.

Sasha tells Lucy that she’s sorry, but has to pass. Lucy says, funny, and good. A good spokesperson should have sense of humor. Michael says Sasha is serious, and Lucy says, that’s insane. Sasha knows it’s an incredible opportunity, and Lucy says, piffle. She didn’t even begin to negotiate yet, and it’s more than incredible. She wants to give Sasha a stake in the company; she’ll have her own voice. Sasha says she might want to rethink that in the light of recent developments. She no longer comes with a Crimson connection. She no longer has a relationship with Nina. The truth is, she never did. She’s not Nina’s daughter. It was all a hoax, and came out at the wedding. Michael is surprised it hasn’t hit the tabloids yet. Sasha says Lucy doesn’t want her affiliated with her company. She’ll be notorious. Lucy says, notorious is kind of great. Notorious sells. She says, they’ll make bajullions, and hugs Sasha.

Jax’s phone signals that he has a text, but he doesn’t check it. Nina says, so Valentin admits it. He says he admits he wanted to find her daughter, and it got the ball rolling, but Sasha’s actions were her own. Nina says they’re done, but he grabs her arm. Jax tells him, let her go, and Valentin tells Jax, get out of his house. Obrecht comes in, and says Nina is all right. She acknowledges Jax, but Valentin says, Jax was just leaving. Jax says he’s not going unless Nina wants him to, but Nina says she can take care of herself, and it sounds like someone wants to get ahold of him. Jax looks at the text from Josslyn. It says, waiting on u; plz help Dev. He tells Nina that he’s just a phone call away. He leaves, and Obrecht says, bagel? Nina says she has no appetite. Valentin tells her, leaving him solves nothing. Nina says, maybe, but it’s a good way to start. She says, it’s over; they’re through, and goes to pack her things.

Ava tells Julian that she knew Sasha was too to be good true. Does he think Valentin paid Sasha to be Nina’s daughter? He says, of course () Valentin denied any involvement, and she says, of course (🍷). Obviously, Nina doesn’t believe him, or she wouldn’t have left him at the altar. He says she’s enjoying this because it’s Nina, but Ava says, a year ago, she may have felt differently. Now that her life was destroyed by an obsessive man’s lies, she can’t celebrate that kind of pain anymore. Not even Nina’s. He tells her, feel that? That itchy, stretchy feeling? It’s called growth. He’s proud of her. Ava asks him to give her his best bottle of scotch and two glasses. He says, scotch? and she says, it’s more portable than vodka martinis, and vanquishes demons just the same. He says, at least she and Nina are free. Nina is done with Valentin, and she’s done with Ryan. Ava says, it’s not always easy to make a clean break. He’s living proof. If Kim hadn’t come along, he’d still be pursuing Alexis. Maybe he would have even worn her down. He says, doubtful, and she says, guess who just walked in? Alexis smiles at him.

Neil says his vitals aren’t bad. Panic attacks aren’t uncommon. Has he had prior experience with therapy? It’s nothing to be ashamed of, and it’s treatable, but first, they have to get down to the root of the problem. We see Brad sitting on the couch, and he says, that’s easy. It’s his father-in-law, and his son’s mother… and his son’s father.

Sasha tells Lucy that she’s hurt Nina enough already. She’s not using publicity from the scandal for her own end. Lucy is sure Nina would understand. Michael says he’s not. Lucy says Crimson’s revenues soared when Nina put Ava on the cover. Nina did that, so don’t act like it’s not a moral thing to capitalize on a good thing when you see it. Sasha says she’s not capitalizing on anything. She can’t do it. Not to herself or Nina. She loves Nina, and hates how much pain she caused. Lucy asks if Sasha believes she’s the first person to be embroiled in a scandal. Lots of people go through it. The public loves when the guilty are redeemed. Sasha says, there’s no redemption here, and Lucy says, yet. Does Sasha think punishing herself will make up for everything she did to Nina? Sasha says, no, but not making a media spectacle is a start. Lucy asks if Sasha really wants to make amends to all the people she’s wronged, and Sasha says, of course (🍷). Lucy asks how she’s going to support herself while she’s doing it. Does she have a new job? She looks at Michael. Or a sugar daddy? Sasha says, absolutely not. Lucy says, atoning is a lifetime endeavor. It’s not just repentance and lit candles. You have to live your life. If Sasha is skittish to take advantage of her mistakes, she can soften that. That’s what a media trainer is about. Forgiveness is two things; reparation and presence. If she wants to make it right to the people she’s wronged, she has to be in their face. She can’t make reparations by retreating into the shadows. Otherwise, how does anyone know she’s repenting? Lucy says she did it. She put herself out there, and went everywhere. Now everybody loves her.. Well, except her dry cleaner, but everyone else loves her.

Obrecht tells Valentin, Nina was still in her wedding gown, and she came in with Jax. Are they supposed to assume the two of them are… Valentin asks Obrecht to tell him. Jax is such a gentleman. Would he take advantage of a runaway bride on her wedding night? Nina comes out, and Obrecht tries to approach her, but Nina says she’s not talking to her. She’ll send for the rest of her things. She tells Valentin, one more thing. He said when he talked to her mother, she’d said her daughter was alive. Was that a lie? Never mind. What was she thinking? She can’t believe anything he says. Valentin says, don’t say goodbye. His life is meaningless without her. She says, that, she can believe, and leaves.

Sonny answers the door, and it’s Jax, who asks if Dev is there. On the terrace, Dev tells Josslyn, only fifty more assignments to go. She says he got off easy because he’s a hero. He asks if they’re still saying that, and she says she did rescue Wiley from that manic. They’re still talking about it. He says, Sam is the hero, not him. She says he still rates, but he says they didn’t know he was in the process of running away. She says, taking off on his own? He’s brave… but stupid. He says her flattery is overwhelming him. She asks where he was going. How was how planning on taking care of himself? He says he can manage. He got to Port Charles on his own. She asks if he didn’t think about the people he would hurt by leaving. He says Sonny would understand. Her mom probably would have been relieved. Max might have missed him taking the car and speedboat out. Who else did he miss? She said, people. Is there someone he missed? Would she miss him? She says, hardly, and he says he’d miss her too. She says she didn’t say she’d miss him. He says, not to his face, but he guarantees it’s in her diary. He grabs it from her, and she says, that’s private. He says, let’s see what she’s writing about him. She tries to take the diary back, and they end up face to face.

She asks if she can have the diary back now, and he lets go. He says he was just having a little fun, and she asks if he would think it was fun if she looked through his things. He says he wasn’t going to read it; her secrets are safe. She asks him to promise he’ll leave it alone, and he promises. Sonny and Jax come outside, and Sonny says Jax has something he wants to tell them.

Alexis asks Julian, what’s so urgent that it required three exclamations points, and an asap? He shows her a flyer, and asks if she knows about these. They’re all over the neighborhood; questioning his A rating, the quality of his meat, and claiming he waters down the liquor. Customers are starting to ask questions. Ava says, the liquor is just fine. She can attest to that. He says he knows Olivia is behind it, so tell her to cease and desist, or he’ll sue. Alexis suggests he give Olivia back her deposit if he wants to rectify things. He says he’s not giving back the deposit. Besides, he already used it to put a deposit on a place in New York. Since he backed out, he can’t get his back, so why should he give Olivia hers? I dunno. Maybe because it’s the law? Alexis says, no justice, no peace, and he says, she thinks this is funny? She asks why he doesn’t finish the sale, and buy something else? He says he likes Charlie’s. He’s put his blood, sweat, and tears into it. She says he’s only been there two years; how invested can he be? Ava says, Charlie’s is more than just a restaurant. It’s where Julian landed when he started over. It’s a new era. Neil tells Brad, open adoptions are quite common now. Does Brad’s son have a relationship with his biological parents? Brad would rather not go into details. He just wanted some meds to help with his nerves. Neil says he can’t prescribe something without determining the underlying issue. He assumes Brad came there to get at the root of his anxiety. He tells Brad to take a deep breath, and Neil about his mother. Brad just looks at him, and Neil says, just a little shrink humor to get Brad to relax. Brad says he’s not relaxed. The reason he has anxiety is, his son was kidnapped. He was taken away, and every day Brad worries that it could happen all over again.

Lucy tells Sasha that she knows being the face of Deception might seem like an improbable road to redemption, but Sasha can use the platform any way she wants. Sasha says she just wants to make things better for Nina. Nina had everything taken from her, and Sasha wishes she could give something back. She doesn’t care how the world sees her. Nina comes in, and asks what Sasha is doing there. Sasha says she was getting her things. Nina sees that she has them, and tells her, get out. If Sasha comes there again, she’ll call security. Lucy suggests Nina ease up a little. Nina asks if Lucy heard what happened, but Lucy tells Nina, she’s just saying Nina should take into account that Sasha is extremely remorseful. And she did bring a bit of happiness to Nina’s life. Nina says, all Sasha brought into her life was a pack of lies. She’s lost everything because of Sasha; the man she loved, the aunt who she thought loved her, her home, her self-respect, her reputation, and Charlotte, the closest thing she’ll ever have to a real daughter. That’s why she came there. To remind herself that at least she has Crimson. Her job is the only worthwhile thing she has left. Sasha says she’s wrong. She still has Valentin and Charlotte. Sasha did this on her own.

Jax says now that he’s been brought him up to speed, he’s given the situation a lot thought. He’s not contradicting Sonny’s story. If anyone finds out the truth, it won’t be from him. Josslyn thanks him, and he says he thinks this is the one time taking action would be counter-productive. Jax flashes back to telling Sonny that he’s made a decision about Dev’s situation. He doesn’t want to destroy Dev by uncovering the lie. He won’t put Josslyn through that, and he doesn’t want to put Dev in any more danger. He hates being part of Sonny’s cover-up, but doesn’t see an alternative. He’s going to leave things as they are. Sonny thanks him, but Jax says, don’t thank him just yet. Back on the terrace, Jax tells Josslyn that she’s given him a lot to think about. He doesn’t want to stand in the way of her helping Dev. Sonny started this lie, and they’ll have to live with it.

Sasha tells Nina that Lulu never heard her say Valentin’s name because he wasn’t involved. She got a call from the lawyer who handled her adoption, Carter Buckley. Michael says she doesn’t have to do this, but she says she does. She says he told her that a P.I. was looking for the daughter of a wealthy woman and she’d be about Sasha’s age. He figured they could orchestrate things so it would look like she was that daughter. The plan was to get money from Nina, and they would split it. He was dying, and wanted to provide for his family. Nina asks why he chose Sasha, and Sasha says he handled her adoption; he knew no one was looking for her. She needed the money, so she said yes. Carter died soon after, and Nina knows the rest. What Sasha thought would be a brief meeting turned into so much more. It became harder for her to keep her distance. She wanted Nina to believe the lie, but she wanted to believe it too. She didn’t want to lose Nina. That’s the truth. Nina says she’s good. She’ll give Sasha that, but no way she did this on her own. Valentin had to be the one who set it up.

Obrecht tells Valentin it’s possible she was a bit premature when she suggested there was a way out of their predicament. Nina may never take them back. He says Nina is his life. He can’t accept a future without her. Obrecht says she’s never seen Nina so hurt and angry. Time to get while the getting is good. He asks where she’s going, and she says, Switzerland. It’s lovely this time of year, and since she’s a citizen, it will be impossible to extradite her, should Nina choose to press charges. Valentin might want to follow her example. He says he’s way ahead. He and Charlotte are going back to Greece. She says, with Lulu’s permission? and he says he’s not afraid of Lulu. His lawyers will tie her up in family court indefinitely. He doesn’t want Charlotte seeing Nina or the family. And maybe his absence will make Nina’s heart grow fonder. Obrecht says, or maybe he’s deluding himself.

Alexis tells Julian, she realizes Charlie’s has significance to him, and apologizes for being insensitive. Julian accepts. He says, back to Olivia’s smear campaign, but she says he doesn’t know Olivia is behind it, but she’ll relay his concerns. He says, not good enough. Olivia is messing with his business and interfering with his customers. He may need to sue. She says he’d have to prove she did it, and it will cost a lot. He should take his resources and start something new; change things up. The Rib has Drag Queen Bingo now, and it’s packed every night. Ava says, that sounds like fun, but Julian says, it’s not a drag bingo kind of place. Alexis says it wasn’t a gastro pub kind of place either, until he made it one. He’s a master of reinvention. She tells hm, you know what they say; every morning you wake up anew, so what you do today is all that matters. He asks if she got that from her shrink boyfriend. She says he’s not her boyfriend, and it’s none of Julian’s business. She leaves, and Ava asks if he heard that. He’s not her boyfriend.

Neil says Brad’s son was kidnapped? and Brad says, yes. Neil asks if he was the boy who was in the news recently. Brad says, yeah.  The cult guy. Neil says, so Shiloh is his son’s biological father. Brad doesn’t see what it matters. His son was stolen, and he feels like he could be taken away at any time and any place. No one understands. He can’t sleep or eat; he’s falling apart. Neil says he’ll give Brad something to make feel better. The medication works differently on everyone, so he’ll tweak it until they get the right dosage. In the meantime, they’ll keep talking, but next time, he wants Brad to bring his husband.

Sasha says she never met Valentin before. She only dealt with Carter and Curtis. Nina says Sasha wants her to believe she faked three DNA tests. Sasha says she had help from someone who knows their way around a lab. Nina says, so she and Obrecht are friends now? but Sasha says, not Obrecht. She had friend from college help her. Obrecht only figured it out a few days before the wedding. If Lulu had heard the whole conversation, she would have heard Nina try to convince Obrecht not to say anything. Nina says, the best laid plans, and Lucy says, it’s food for thought. Sasha says Nina has every right to hate her, but don’t cut out the two people who, despite their flaws, love her very, very much. Charlotte needs Nina, and Nina needs Charlotte. Nina says she needs them all to clear out now. They leave, and Nina throws things and cries.

Dev says he’s in Jax’s debt, and Jax tells him, stay out of trouble. Honor the secret, and he’ll consider the debt paid. Jax flashes back to telling Sonny that he won’t tell Sonny’s secret, but he won’t keep it either. If the Feds knock on his door, he’s not going to perjure himself and give them an excuse to kick him out of the country. Like Sonny did. In the present, Sonny says he doesn’t anticipate any trouble. Dev is a Corinthos now, and there’s no one to say otherwise.

Brad asks why Neil wants Lucas to come, and Neil says he’s concerned about the toll the kidnapping is taking on Brad, and that he doesn’t feel supported in the aftermath. Maybe he can open a line of communication. Brad says, couples therapy might help. Lucas is pretty busy. He can’t guarantee Lucas will come, but he’ll ask. Neil says they’ll get control Brad’s anxiety, and address the underlying issue. He’ll feel better when he sees his fear is unfounded. Brad runs into Alexis as he’s leaving, and Alexis says, bad timing? Neil says, not at all. How was her day? Anything to report? Alexis says, nope. Nothing at all.

Julian looks at a flyer that says he’s paying off the sanitary inspector, and crumples it up. He gets on his phone. At one of the tables, Sasha says Michael thinks she did the wrong thing. He says she took the blame for Valentin so Nina wouldn’t lose the people she loves. Sasha says, they love her too. Valentin would never willingly hurt Nina. The whole twisted situation came out of Valentin’s love, so she’s taking blame, but she’s also clearing the way for them to heal. Charlotte is a great kid, and deserves to be happy. Nina makes her happy. Michael doesn’t agree with her actions, but he can’t argue with her motives. She asks what he would he do, but he tells her, it’s impossible to say. He’d like to think he’d tell the truth, and let the chips fall where they may. She says so he would have told Nina that Valentin was behind it? Michael says it’s possible that when she cools off, she would forgive him. There was no malicious intent, and he did hire a wonderful woman to pose as her daughter, but with Sasha’s way, she’s just waiting for another lie to be exposed.

Ava goes to Nina’s office, carrying the scotch and glasses. Nina says she knew she’d see Ava. She was right; it’s a long, long way to fall. If Ava is there to gloat, have at it. Ava says she’s there in solidarity. She knows a little something about horrid, lying men, and hell on earth.

On Monday, Kim asks if Elizabeth is sure she’s doing the right thing, Jordan tells Henderson to start talking, Obrecht asks Valentin if Nina’s child is alive, and Jason needs to see someone right away.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

General Hospital

Curtis shows up at the station in his tux. Jordan tells him how good he looks, and says it might be enough to salvage a thoroughly rotten day. Sometimes the wheels of justice take you places you don’t want go. Diane comes out and says, it’s blatant grandstanding. The evidence – and she uses the term loosely – is worthless. Jordan says she can make that argument in court. Diane says, Sam has been nothing but cooperative, and Jordan repays her by arresting her. Jordan says it was her only course of action, and Diane asks if it required Sam to be held without bail. Does she really want Sam languishing in a jail cell until the trial?

Jax and Josslyn visit Carly at the hospital. Josslyn asks Carly if Donna is really going to be okay. Carly says they’ll have things to look out for, but she’s pretty perfect. Josslyn says, she is. Jax joins them, and says as much as he enjoyed meeting Donna, he wanted to see how the baby momma is doing. She says, well. She feels great, and knowing Donna is going to be okay is the best medicine. Josslyn gives Carly an envelope, and says, it’s from Dev.

Dev is in the kitchen doing homework, when Sonny and Mike come in. Sonny says they were just visiting with Avery, and Mike says they took a bunch of pictures to show Yvonne. Dev is sure she’ll enjoy them. Avery is a beautiful little girl. He says it’s nice to see Mike again, calling him Mr. Corbin. Mike says, they’re cousins; call him Mike. Dev says, okay, Cousin Mike. Mike says Dev’s grandmother told him that she and Dev aren’t close. He wonders why is that? Dev looks at Sonny, and says, they just aren’t. Mike says Dev should give her a call some time. Sonny asks if Mike has been talking to Gladys, and Mike says, all the time.

Jordan says Robert deems Sam a flight risk, and she agrees. Diane tells Curtis, nice tux. As her client’s former business partner, does he really think Sam would skip town, abandoning her children, or take them with her, forfeiting her right to clear her name? He says he’s not taking sides, and she says, that alone speaks volumes. Jordan says, they have a witness. Diane says, who’s allegations are hearsay, and Jordan says, they have a recording. Diane says, obviously doctored.  Jordan says the PCPD techs proved it to be authentic, but Diane says, imagine their embarrassment when her independent analysis debunks their finding. Jason comes out with Sam, and Diane says she sees the exorbitant and arbitrary bail has been posted. Jordan asks why Diane is harassing her, when bail has been posted. Diane says, exorbitant bail. which few people could afford. Fortunately, Jason is one of them, but that doesn’t change this grievous miscarriage of justice. Someone is obviously trying to frame Sam.

Maxie says Peter just called. He and Valentin are on their way to All Saints. That means they need to step it up. Obrecht says they’re ahead of schedule, and Maxie says, they can’t become complacent; that’s when disaster strikes. Obrecht says there will be no disaster as long as she’s involved. Nina thanks Sasha for wearing the pendant. Sasha thanks Nina for giving it to her. Obrecht says, it’s a lot of schmaltz over a pendant no one will notice, but Nina says, who cares? She and Sasha know it’s there. Obrecht says, apologies, niece. Nina says she got a special gift of her own last night. She shows them the necklace from Valentin, and everyone is like, wow. Maxie asks who gave it to her, and Nina says, Valentin surprised her with it last night. Maxie says it’s bringing a tsunami of bad luck with it.

At the church, Dustin tells Lulu that she looks amazing. She says, all things considered, she was surprised she could dress herself, and he asks if she’s decided if she’s telling Nina that Sasha isn’t her daughter. Lulu says, and Valentin is behind it all? She hasn’t decided. Valentin and Peter come up the walk.

Jason tells Sam, Spinelli agreed to look at the recording. She adds, that just happened to come from Daisy. He says she’s still loyal to Shiloh, and it gives her motive to lie. Sam says, what about Sheri? and he says, they can’t prove anything; it’s hearsay. Sam tells him what Diane said was right. Someone is trying to frame her, and whoever it is, might be manufacturing more evidence against her.

Diane tells Jordan, Sam killed Shiloh to prevent him from impaling Jason with a gaffing stick. Jordan says, there were only three people on the boat, and one is dead. The other two have criminal histories that seriously compromise their credibility as witnesses. Diane says, Shiloh was the leader of a sex cult, whose followers would blindly follow him off the ledge of Mount Rushmore. One of those followers delivered a damaging declaration. She asks Jordan to please tell her she sees through this. Jordan says she’s welcome to cross-examine, question, and debunk the evidence. Do her job, and Jordan will do hers. Let justice prevail. Diane says she has no doubt it will. She leaves, and Curtis tells Jordan that Sam wasn’t just his business partner, she’s his friend. Jordan asks if he’s telling her that he’s biased, but he says he was wondering if she thinks the killings were anything other than self-defense.

Carly says, Dev was so thoughtful. Josslyn asks what it says, and Carly tells her, congratulations and best wishes. Children make the family’s kettle whistle. She loves it. Jax says, Aussies have a saying for everything, but he’s never heard that one. Carly wonders where Dev is, and Josslyn says, he was concerned it was too private of a situation. He didn’t want to intrude. Carly tells Josslyn, let him know, wherever family is welcome, he’s welcome. Looking at his phone, Jax says, the saying about the teakettle? It’s Turkish.

Dev says he’ll study upstairs, and Mike says he hopes they’re not interrupting. Dev says, no. There’s a book he needs upstairs anyway. He tells Mike it was good to see him, calling him Cousin Mike, and Mike laughs. Dev goes upstairs, and Sonny asks Mike how he got so close to Gladys. Mike says, it’s just one of those things. They weren’t that close when they were younger, but since she made contact with him, they hit it off. He says, it’s the way this disease works. He can recall old times with his cousins or buddies, but can’t remember why Sonny picked him up today. Sonny says Avery was asking for him, and Mike says does his old heart some good. She’s the best. Sonny says, she’s not the only one who wants to see him. He wants to introduce Mike to their new family member. Carly had the baby. Mike says, she did? He didn’t know they were… never mind. He’s a grandfather again. Sonny says they had a little girl. He and Mike hug, and Mike says, that makes seven grandchildren for him. Sonny says he pulled that number out fast, and Mike says they covered it in their memory care sessions. He wants to see if he can do it, and says, there’s this new one, and there’s Michael, Kristina, Avery – he hesitates, and Sonny says, Dante – Dante, Spencer, and Morgan. Sonny says he wants to introduce Mike to Donna. Mike likes the name, and asks if Sonny remembers Donna Messina from the old neighborhood. Sonny says, that’s why they chose it. Because they wanted to honor her. He and Carly have another surprise for him.

Nina asks Maxie, what’s wrong? and Maxie says, not to throw water on her special day, but Nina isn’t planning on wearing the necklace, is she? Valentin invited in bad luck giving it to her the night before their wedding. She doesn’t want to compound it by wearing the necklace at the ceremony, does she? Nina says, all that matters is that it’s a symbol of his love for her. She’s starting a new chapter, with Valentin, and her beautiful daughter Sasha, and her equally delightful stepdaughter Charlotte. Obrecht asks what they are? Bratwurst? Nina says she loves them both. She tells them to guess what happened a year ago today. A year ago today, she finally got up the courage to pick up the phone and call Sasha to let Sasha know she was her mother. Obrecht takes a drink.

Valentin introduces himself to Dustin. Dustin congratulates him, and he says, today, he feels like the luckiest man on earth. Lulu says he won’t feel that way after he hears what she has to say.

Carly says, Dev drinks a lot of iced tea. Maybe he got it off of a bottle cap. Josslyn says, Dev knows all kinds of random stuff. Jax says, okay. He tells Carly that Donna looks like her. She’s beautiful, just the other women in Carly’s family. She says he’s smooth today, but he says he means it. He has to go. He’s going to Nina’s wedding. Carly wonders how he got roped into that. She tells him, have fun, and he says he’ll try. He just wanted to tell her how happy he is that Donna is fine, and he hopes she’s home soon. Carly says, amen to that. Jax asks if Josslyn wants a ride, and Josslyn says she’ll never get her homework done there. She’ll be back soon. She can’t wait for both Carly and Donna to be home. She loves Donna already. Carly says Josslyn is making her cry, and tells Jax, thanks for the visit.

Jordan tells Curtis, the big mystery isn’t whether Sam planned to kill Shiloh; it’s how many people she managed to beat to the punch. Kristina, Willow, the Cooper-Joneses. Michael and Chase are the two most upstanding citizens she knows, and they could have done it. Curtis says, Sam was clear about pulling the trigger, and clear about why. Jordan says her gut tells her to believe Sam, but the evidence has left her no choice. She had to charge Sam. Curtis tells her not to hate him for saying this, but he hopes she doesn’t win the case. She says she still has to work it, but he says, not today. They have a wedding to attend. He gives her a garment bag, and she says she can’t believe she walked out without her dress. He says lucky for her, she has a loving husband to rescue her. She says, very lucky, and they kiss.

Diane tells Jason and Sam, if this case goes to trial with this Swiss cheese evidence, she’ll make fondue. Jason hopes it doesn’t. Diane agrees it’s clearly a frame-up, and asks if Spinelli is on board to examine the recording. Jason says he’s prepping. Sam says they could be manufacturing more evidence, and Diane says, there’s nothing they can do about it, so put it out of her mind. She has Sam’s statement about being on board the Haunted Star, and it’s thorough, but is there anything she left out. Sam says, nothing she can… Jason says, what? and Sam says Shiloh did say something that made her think he had an accomplice.

Valentin tells Lulu, it’s his wedding day. Can whatever she has going on, wait? She’s afraid not, and he asks if it has anything to do with Charlotte. She says, no, and he says, obviously it can wait then. She says, it’s about… Dustin puts his arm around her, and she says, Valentin is right. It can wait. They don’t have to talk about it right now. Peter says Valentin has to check in with the minister. Valentin thanks Lulu for joining them, and says he hopes they can all be happy for Nina’s sake. He goes inside, and Dustin says, no judgement, but he’s curious. Why didn’t she confront Valentin about Sasha?

Lulu says she knows from panful experience, if she shows her hand, Valentin will outmaneuver her. Besides, he’s not the person she needs to talk to. Dustin says, Nina, and she says, exactly. She doesn’t know if Dustin is aware of this, but Valentin killed her brother. Dustin asks, who is this guy, and why isn’t he in prison? She says, it happened in Greece, and the Greek authorities believed Valentin when he said it was self-defense. Even worse, everything that belonged to her brother, now belongs to Valentin. She wants Valentin punished, but right now she’s trying to make sure she’s telling Nina for the right reasons. Dustin says he’s just getting to know her, but she doesn’t strike him as the vengeful type. Is he wrong?

Valentin thanks Peter for the save, and Peter says, what are best men for? He wonders what Lulu’s problem is, and Valentin says she still blames him for Nikolas’s death. He only invited her for Charlotte’s sake. He thinks she should be asked to leave, and Peter says it would tarnish his halo. In Nina’s eyes, he qualifies for sainthood for finding Sasha. Valentin says, that’s a stretch, but he’d do anything for Nina. Peter feels the same way about Maxie, and Valentin says they have to escape their respective pasts for the women they love. Peter asks if Valentin has forsaken the dark side of his heritage (sounding like a character from Flowers in the Attic), and Valentin says, has Peter?

Nina asks if Charlotte realizes that when she marries Charlotte’s papa, Sasha will be her be true sister. Charlotte says she’ll get the sister she’s always wanted. Did Sasha want a sister? Sasha says not until she met Charlotte. Obrecht passes out champagne, and says, sisters are a gift. On this happiest of occasions, she can’t help but remember Nina’s mother. She’s sure Madeline is craning upward to look past the smoldering brimstone, to disapprove of all their choices. Sasha is glad she never met Madeline, but Obrecht says Madeline made it possible for Sasha to be there. That woman; never a hair out of place. Curtis knocks on the door, and Maxie asks why he’s there. Nothing can go wrong today. He says he wanted to talk to Nina before she marries Valentin. Nina asks, what’s up? and he says she told him to always be honest with her, no matter how much the truth hurts. Charlotte says that’s what her mommy tells her too. Curtis says, it’s good advice; she should follow it. Nina says if he’s there to try and convince her to call it off, she doesn’t want to hear it.

Mike gives Carly a bouquet in a cup that says, World’s Best Mom. He says he got it in the gift shop, and tells her not to go down and see how much he paid. She says it’s priceless to her. Mike said he heard the baby is a little sick, and Carly says, a little, but she’ll be fine. It just takes time. Mike says that means he has seven grandchildren. This new one, Michael, Kristina, Avery, Dante – he looks at Sonny – and Spencer, and Morgan. Did he get them all? Carly says, he got them. Sonny says Mike is surrounded by family, and they all love him. Does he want to see Donna? Mike says, after he meets Donna, does he get his surprise? Carly says, yes.

Sam tells Diane that when she was trying to get Shiloh to let Dev and Wiley go, he said they were running out time. He said he was on the clock, and when he got what he wanted, he’d go. Diane says, he never told her who or what he wanted? Jason says, it’s got to be money, and Diane says, someone would have to deliver it. They need to know who. Sam says, maybe Dev heard something. He was on the Haunted Star before she was. Jason says he’ll check on that, and Diane says she’ll continue to work on things from her end. She tells Sam to enjoy her freedom; live her life. She’ll let them know when it’s time to regroup. Sam says she wants to see Carly and the baby. Jason says, baby Donna made it through surgery with flying colors. Diane had no idea there was a problem, and Jason tells her, the baby has spina bifida, but there’s been no nerve damage, and she can live a full, healthy life. Diane says, thank God. Give the proud parents her love, and tell them that she’ll drop by soon. And Sam… Sam knows. Don’t leave town. Diane tells her, don’t, but she was going to say, don’t worry.

Josslyn and Jax find Dev in the kitchen, where he seems to spend most of his time. Jax says he seems jumpy, and Dev says he didn’t know anyone was there. Josslyn says they just got back from visiting Carly. She loved Dev’s card. Dev asks how Carly is doing, and Josslyn says, all things considered, she couldn’t be better. Jax says the quote Dev put in the card was Turkish, and Dev says, was it? He found it online. Jax says, good choice. Dev says they just missed Mr. Corbin, and Jax says, isn’t Mike his cousin? That’s kind of formal. Dev says that’s what Mike said. He’s trying to call him Cousin Mike. It’s a lot to get used to. Josslyn tells him that Carly said it was fine if he visits. She’d love to see him. He says he’ll head over there now. Dev jets, and Jax says, Dev couldn’t get out fast enough. He wonders why.

Josslyn says she’s sure Dev was saving them from standing around, making polite conversation. Doesn’t Jax have a wedding to get ready for? Jax says he’s not going to be angry, but he knows Josslyn is covering something up about Dev. He hates to see her trying so hard to keep it from him. She says, he’s right. She’s sorry. She has been lying to him.

Mike and Sonny look at baby Donna, and Mike says, she’s little. Sonny says, she came early, but she’ll be well enough to take home soon. Mike says maybe he can introduce her to Yvonne. Jason joins them, and Sonny says he and Mike came to check out the baby.  Jason says, she’s a beauty. Sonny tells Mike that he’ll be right back; he and Jason have to talk. Sonny asks, how’s Sam? and Jason says he persuaded Robert to let him post bail. He thinks Sam is a flight risk. Sonny says it doesn’t surprise him. He asks how the case against Sam looks, and Jason says, Diane doesn’t think it’s going to trial, but if it does, they need to be prepared. Sonny says he’ll do whatever he can, and Jason thanks him. Jason says he needs to talk to Dev about what happened on the Haunted Star, and Sonny says, if it helps Sam, be his guest.

Sam tells Carly that she’s sorry she couldn’t visit sooner. Carly says Jason told her what’s happening; it’s crazy. It’s obvious Sam killed Shiloh in self-defense. Sam says there’s evidence that says she planned to kill Shiloh. Carly says, who didn’t think about killing Shiloh? She was dropping hints to Sonny daily. Sam says, there’s a recording that says she was plotting revenge. Carly says she’s out on bail. She knows Sam and Jason will get to the bottom of this. Sam says, that’s the plan.

Dev comes out of the hospital elevator, and Jason says he was looking for Dev. Dev asks if he’s in trouble, but Jason says, no. He doesn’t know if Dev heard, but Sam was arrested for Shiloh’s murder. Dev asks, what kind of justice is that? That guy was out of control. Jason tells him to keep his voice down. He needs to know everything that happened on the boat with Shiloh.

Peter tells Valentin, he supposes there’s always a chance all their misdeeds could be exposed. Valentin says, no risk, no reward. Peter says, yes, but sometimes that risk can be overwhelming. Why do they live with it?

Lulu says Dustin is right. She’s not the vengeful type. He says, good to know. She says she used to be, and he says, also good to know. She says, if she tells the truth about Sasha, it won’t be out of revenge. It will be to save Nina from marrying a man who’s deceiving her; because it’s the right thing to do. How can she teach Charlotte to value honesty if she can’t be honest herself? He says it sounds like she knows what she’s going to do.

Maxie says she has to get to the church, and Charlotte asks if she can come too. She wants to see papa. Nina tells her, it’s okay, and Sasha says she’ll give Nina and Curtis privacy. Nina is sure Curtis won’t mind if she stays, and he says it’s about her too. Nina tells him, please don’t ruin her wedding by trash talking Valentin, but he says, let him finish. It’s no secret he’s not a fan of Valentin’s. He was skeptical about Sasha at first, but he liked her the moment they met, and two DNA tests proved she’s Nina’s long lost daughter. Obrecht says, thanks to Maxie, there were three tests, all yielding the same result. Curtis says, that means Valentin did right by Nina. And anyone who can make her happy, gets his stamp of approval. Nina throws her arms around him, and thanks him. He says, just in case, Aunt Stella gave him this when he was a kid. He gives her a blue handkerchief, and says, because everyone should cry at their wedding. Weeping, Nina says, really? She doesn’t think that’s a thing. He says, crying at your wedding, means there will be no tears throughout your marriage. He says she’s his best person, and she says he’s hers too. He tells her, never forget that, and tells Sasha, be good to her mom.

Jax says, Dev isn’t Sonny’s cousin, right? and Josslyn says, no. Jax asks who he is, and Josslyn says, it’s a long, complicated story. He says he’s all ears, but Josslyn says, first he needs to know that her mom and Sonny made sure she was okay with it. He says, sure, they asked, but was she going to say no? She says she could have. She can think for herself. He says he knows. He just wanted to make sure Sonny didn’t keep repeating the question until he got the answer he wanted.

Dev tells Jason that he was hiding on the Haunted Star when Shiloh showed up with Wiley. He told the baby it wouldn’t be long. He just need to grab some essentials for the trip. That’s when Dev called him, and got Sam. Then Shiloh hit him in the head. He didn’t lose consciousness completely, and heard Shiloh talking on the phone. He was asking for money. Does Jason know who it could have been?

Peter tells Valentin, it was easier to keep secrets when there was no one else he cared about. Valentin says, truer words, my friend. His advice is to forget about it today. Peter asks if that’s Valentin’s way of saying he’s making the wedding day about him. Valentin says he’s being practical. In the wee small hours of the morning, their secrets may find them. Not that he fears it. No, this is a good day.

Lulu tells Dustin, she hates that she knows this. Why does she have to be the one to break Nina’s heart? Curtis and Jordan arrive. Curtis shakes Dustin’s hand, and Lulu introduces him to Jordan. She tells Dustin that Jordan and Curtis were married a year ago. They had their reception on the Haunted Star (but we won’t mention that pesky murder). Curtis says, here’s to Nina’s wedding ending on a happier note. Charlotte runs up, and hugs Lulu. Maxie wants to grab Lulu for a word. Lulu says, thank God Maxie is there. Maxie says Lulu brought Dustin as her plus one. Lulu said she wasn’t going to do that, and they’re not a thing. Charlotte tells Lulu that Curtis visited Nina. He said Nina told him on his wedding day to always be honest, and never lie. Maxie says, there’s a recipe for disaster. Charlotte says, she told Curtis that’s what Lulu teaches her too. Lulu looks at Dustin.

Josslyn tells Jax, if she’d said no, her mom and Sonny would never have let Dev stay, and he’s glad to hear that. She says she kind of likes Dev. He drives her crazy, but it’s a nice distraction from thinking about Oscar every minute of every day. She hated lying to him. He takes her hand, and says he’s sorry Sonny put her in that position.

Mike tells Carly, the baby is beautiful, and Carly says, she is. He says she reminds him of someone; another little baby, but not Avery. He wishes he could remember. Sonny says, maybe Courtney? and Mike says, yes; his beautiful daughter. Sonny thinks now might be the right moment to give Mike his surprise. Carly says she and Sonny talked about it. Sonny wanted to honor his sister, and she agreed. Donna’s full name is Donna Courtney Corinthos. Mike is visibly touched.

Jason asks Dev, what happened when he left the pier? Dev says Jason told him to call 911, but he got worried about getting the cops involved. He saw Peter, and asked for a ride. Peter said yes quickly, and he was pretty cool. Jason asks if Dev remembers anything else. Dev says, Peter was carrying a gym bag, and he seemed pretty nervous.

Peter tells Valentin, it’s almost show time. Valentin says wish him luck, but Peter says it doesn’t sound like he needs it. Valentin says, it’s always good to have it. Charlotte runs to Valentin, and he tells her, tres belle. Charlotte says, Nina said the best thing. After Valentin marries her, Sasha will be her true sister. Valentin says, she will.

Maxie asks Lulu to tell her the florist is inside. Lulu says, they are, and Maxie says, everything is as it should be. She checks her list, the last item being, wedding planner’s BFF and hot date. They’ll be talking about how that happened later. Right now she needs to make sure everything is okay. Maxie runs inside, and Lulu tells Dustin that she has to catch Nina as soon as she gets there. He says he’ll wait with her, but she says she has to do this herself. He tells her that he’s just a text or a holler away, and she thanks him. She waits.

Obrecht, Sasha, and Nina approach. Obrecht says she remembers the last time she was there. Her sister lay dead in her coffin. May today be equally joyous. Sasha calls to Nina, and asks if she’s coming. Nina says she’s on her way. Lulu looks panicked.

On Monday, Charlotte asks what’s wrong, Lulu says she has to tell Nina something that can’t wait, Sam tells Jason that Peter was definitely working with Shiloh, and Josslyn tells Dev that her father knows about him.

General Hospital

Why break this week’s streak? I missed the beginning. 🏆

Lulu meets Laura outside Charlie’s. Lulu senses an ulterior motive for the breakfast invite. Laura says she senses right. Dustin comes out of Charlie’s.

Elizabeth asks nurse Sheri how Franco is. Sheri says he seems fine. He’s polite, and even made a point of thanking her for breakfast. Elizabeth goes in to see him. He says, today’s the big day. Next stop Shadybrook. She says, it doesn’t have to be like this. He can help her fix it.

In the interrogation room, Jason tells Jordan, when he got on board the Haunted Star, he saw Shiloh standing over Sam, who was bleeding, so he made a move. Jordan asks, what kind of move? and Diane says, a dance move. What does she think? It was obvious Shiloh was a threat, and going to hurt Sam. Jason says he shot Shiloh, and went past him to Sam. Jordan asks if he checked for a pulse, but he says, no. Jordan says, he’s an expert shot; why didn’t he shoot to wound Shiloh? Diane asks if she’s taking a statement or cross examining her client. It doesn’t matter. He came to the defense of a helpless victim. There was no crime. It’s not even a misdemeanor. Jordan asks, what happened next? Jason says Sam was bleeding, he bandaged her wound and they went on deck. Sam is an expert pilot, so she headed for the bridge while he stayed on deck. That’s where Shiloh attacked him with a gaffing stick (I say, a gaffing stick disguised as a baseball bat), and they struggled. Jordan says it must have been quite a struggle. Shiloh had a lot of bruises. Diane says Jason was well within his rights to defend himself. Jordan asks, what next? and Jason says Shiloh managed to trip him. He was defenseless, with no weapon, and that’s when Sam shot Shiloh with a flare gun. She saved his life.

Sonny waits with Dev outside the room. Dev doesn’t get why he needs a lawyer. He didn’t do anything wrong. Just the opposite. Some people are calling him a hero. Sonny says, damn straight he’s a hero. There’s something still bothering Sonny though. After all they’ve been through, and Sonny and his family welcoming Dev into their home, he still planned on walking away.

Josslyn tells Carly, if anything, having Dev around helps. He’s not all wrapped up in that time. She doesn’t remember Oscar just by looking at him. It’s nice. Carly says she’s so sorry. Josslyn has reminders everywhere; there, school, volleyball. Josslyn says she looks up where Oscar used to sit, and doesn’t even realize she’s doing it until she sees the empty spot. It goes back and forth. Feeling the distance, like she’s watching a play, and feeling too much, where anything, even the strum of a guitar, will set her off. Carly takes Josslyn’s hand, and says, grief gets confusing, and it’s awful. It’s seemingly endless, but it will get better. It did with Morgan. Josslyn says, yes, but for some reason, this feels different. She doesn’t know if it’s because she’s older, or her time with Oscar was intense, but she keeps waiting to wake up, and feel the weight lifted. To finally be able to breathe. Carly says, it will happen, and Josslyn asks, when? Carly says, when she’s ready.

At Charlie’s, Julian tells Cameron, if he sees Dev, thank him, and tell him that his bill is comped from now on. Cameron says he’ll deliver the message. Trina says it sounds like Dev did Julian a solid, and Julian says Dev rescued his grandson. Family is everything.

Dustin sees Lulu and Laura outside Charlie’s, and asks, what’s going on? Lulu says they’re having a mother/daughter breakfast. She tells him, good call on the coffee. It has to be better than faculty room coffee. She asks if she told Laura that Dustin was a teacher, and Laura says she mentioned it. Cameron and Trina come out, and Dustin says that’s his cue. He can’t be late to class. Laura and Lulu are left alone, and Lulu asks, on a scale of one to ten, how awkward was that? Laura thinks they should chat. Lulu asks if they have to, and Laura says, yes.

Franco doesn’t know how he can help Elizabeth. Clearly, she’s in control. She says she can imagine how he resents her. He says he doesn’t. He did, but now he just feels sorry for her, and not in any condescending way. It’s clear how much she loved her husband. She says, more than she thought possible. Franco says, she wants him back, but that’s not going to happen. She says, Andre believes he can reverse the procedure. If it works, he’ll return to his family. Franco says, she’s fixated on one outcome, and not looking at the other possibilities. In three out of one, she loses her husband forever.

Lulu tells Laura that she doesn’t know how to feel about Dustin. It happened so fast. Laura says, maybe too fast. Lulu says, definitely, but does that automatically make it wrong? Laura says, not necessarily. Tell her more. Lulu says, he’s kind and funny, and good with the kids, especially Rocco. Rocco could use a man in his life. He’s been miserable since Dante left.

Olivia storms into Charlies, asking if Julian is kidding her. He says, sorry, and she says not as sorry as he’s going to be when she drags his ass to court. The money is in escrow. He says, it’s perfectly legal. He changed his mind, and the sale is off. There’s nothing she can do about it. She says, watch her.

Franco tells Elizabeth, one, Franco returns. Two, Drew’s memories remain, and he’s fine with that. Three, Drew’s memories intensify, and he’s fine with that too, but not enough to risk four, where he’s a vegetable. She can’t force him to go through with it. Elizabeth says legally she can. He’s not competent to make his own decisions, and as his wife and legal guardian, she can decide for him. He says there’s a one in four chance he’ll be a vegetable. She can drag it out as long as she likes, but she’s already lost.

Josslyn tells Carly, she feels alone. Now because of them; they’re there when she needs them. She doesn’t know what to say or how to talk about how she feels. Carly says, grief is tricky. You start pretending you’re feeling better because you think that will make it easier. Please don’t do that. Josslyn says she’s trying not to. She’s sorry. She wishes she was handling it better. Carly says she’s handling it fine. She gets up and goes to school, and finds a way to navigate. She couldn’t be more proud of Josslyn. And little by little, life will make sense. She promises. Josslyn says she’ll never stop missing Oscar, and Carly says, no; never. But it will get more manageable. Eventually, when she comes across Oscar’s picture or hears his name, it will bring a smile to her face instead of making her feel like she does now. She says she loves Josslyn, and Josslyn says she loves Carly too. Carly says, Milo is waiting, and she doesn’t want to be late. Josslyn says, time to navigate, and Carly tells her, she’s got this.

Dev says he didn’t mean to seem ungrateful, but he knows he’s making trouble for Sonny’s family. He thinks it’s better for him to go. Sonny says it’s not better for anyone if Dev goes. They all want him to stay. He wants to get something straight. He trusted Dev, and wants the same trust in return. If something comes up, come to him. They’ll fix it together. Dev throws his arms around Sonny, and hugs him.

Sam tells Jordan that she saw Shiloh standing over Jason, and had no time to react. She shot Shiloh in the back. He stumbled, and fell overboard. Josslyn says, there was no struggle? No chance he was pushed? Sam says, no chance. Diane says her client has given a full accounting of her actions, and it’s a clear-cut case of self-defense. Dragging it out will just be wasting time. Jordan agrees, and says she needs a quick break, then she’ll move on to Dev’s statement. She leaves, and Diane tells Jason and Sam that they both did well. A touch too much detail, but she doesn’t see a problem. Her phone rings. It’s Kim, and Diane says she got the message. She did some research, and the bad news is, Elizabeth can’t be prevented from committing Franco to Shadybrook, but the good news is, they can’t keep him indefinitely, and she can’t force him to undergo the memory transfer procedure. She’d like to help, but she’s too busy. She’s afraid her plate is full right now.

Julian says the last thing he wants is a conflict with Olivia, but the sale fell through. So unless she’s going to order… She asks if he’s kicking her out, and he says, there’s not a lot to discuss. Olivia says, this isn’t over, and heads for the door. Laura asks Lulu if she thinks Rocco needing Dustin is maybe part of the attraction. Lulu says, of course (🍷) she wants her son to be happy, but she was drawn to Dustin the first time they met. Now it’s more intense since she slept with him. Olivia flies over to their table, and says, she what?

In the park, Dustin says he moved the class outside because it’s appropriate for the book they’re studying, which is… Cameron says, Walden by Henry David Thoreau. Dustin says he just wanted to make sure they’re on the same page. He wants them to consider, not just what Thoreau did, but why. What inspired him to remove himself from society and go to Walden’s Pond to commune with nature? Trina says he was sick of the rules that governed society, and how the main goal is chasing money. Cameron says it makes you wonder if money and status is it, or we’re meant for something bigger. Dustin reads from the book. I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. Josslyn gets up and jets.

Dev tells Jordan, when he woke, Sam was there. She managed to get Shiloh to let him and Wiley go. He took Wiley and ran to the docks, where he saw Jason. Jason asked where Sam was, and Dev told him. Jason instructed him to get Wiley to the hospital. Diane asks if that’s when Peter showed up, and Dev says, yes. He asked Peter to drive them, and he did. Jordan says what Dev did took courage. She just has one more question. What was he doing on the Haunted Star in the first place?

Sam asks Sheri if there’s any way she can find out when Franco is being transferred. Sheri, who is obviously not liking Sam, says she can’t give out that information. Sheri remembers standing outside the door and listening when Jason told Sam, it’s never easy to pull the trigger, and Sam replying she didn’t do it just for him. When she saw Shiloh, she kept thinking of all the horrible things he did to her sister, Wiley, Willow, and her, and had to make sure he never hurt anyone ever again. I find out later on – link below – that Sheri is an admirer of Shiloh’s. The weird thing is, she acted fine when she bandaged Sam’s wound, but now she’s obvious?

Elizabeth tells Franco, she doesn’t want to force him. She hates it, but she has to. She knows with everything in her, that Franco would want to fight for him, for them, for their family, and future together. So that’s what she’s going to do. She leaves, and Sam approaches her. Sam says she heard Franco was being transferred to Shadybrook today. Elizabeth says, it’s for his own good, but Sam says if she was Elizabeth, she wouldn’t do it.

Jason visits Carly, who asks how it went at the station. He says, as well as it could. He and Sam gave their statements. He doesn’t think there are going to be any issues. Carly says they did the world a favor, getting rid of Shiloh. He says, Sonny is still there with Dev. Jordan is talking to him. She asks if Jason is worried, and he says, Dev is a loose cannon with a fake ID. Suddenly, Carly feels something, and Jason asks if she’s okay. She says she’s just worried about Josslyn. She’s felt off all morning, but at this stage of the pregnancy, she’s uncomfortable all the time. She says, weird, then doubles over.

Olivia tells Laura and Lulu that she didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Laura says, yet somehow she did. Olivia says she heard Rocco’s name, and it got her attention . She saw Rocco having fun with Dustin at his birthday party, but he said Dustin was Lulu’s friend. She had no idea they were intimate. Lulu says she can’t deny what Olivia heard, but she’s not going to apologize. She’s a grown woman, and unmarried. Her divorce is final. Olivia asks if that’s what this is about – payback? Sleeping with someone else before the ink is dry. Laura says, that’s enough.

Dustin finds Josslyn at the Oscar’s Meadow plaque. He gets that she wants to be alone, and as much he’d like to respect that, he can’t. He’s responsible for her whereabouts, since he brought her to the park. She says she’s sorry she ran off, and Dustin says she needed a minute. He assumes this is the Oscar she wrote about? She says the person she loved most in the world, and now he’s gone. She doesn’t know what to do with that.

Jordan says, it was late, and the Haunted Star was closed for repairs. Dev said he was surprised when Shiloh showed up, so he wasn’t following Shiloh. Dev says, no, and she asks what he was doing on the boat. Diane says Sonny was concerned that Lulu was having trouble with the renovation, and sent Dev in to check it out. Jordan says, he sent a sixteen-year-old to evaluate construction? Sonny says he totally trusts Dev.

Elizabeth says she’s not doing this with Sam. It’s none of her business. She knows how Sam feels, and that she doesn’t like Franco. Sam says she’s been where Elizabeth is. When Jason had the malignant brain tumor, the surgeon told him that the operation could leave him incapacitated. He chose not to have it done, and she accepted his choice. They spent what she thought would be his last days together, and he changed his mind. He made the decision to have the surgery. Elizabeth says, Franco has already refused, but Sam says she’s missing the point. If something happens to Franco, Elizabeth will never forgive herself. Franco wouldn’t want that. Elizabeth tells Sam, don’t tell her what Franco would want. Sam isn’t helping her, so go. Please just go. Sam says, for what it’s worth (which should be my new drinking game phrase), she’s sorry Elizabeth is going through this. She gets in the elevator. I think Sam might be missing the point that there’s a big difference between Franco and Jason’s situations. Jason could have died, but he still would have been Jason.

Jason looks at his watch, and tells Carly, it’s every ten minutes, and she says she’s in labor. She can’t be. The C-section isn’t scheduled for another two weeks. He says, the baby has other ideas, but she says, it’s too soon. He wants to make sure she and the baby have everything need, and tells her, let’s go.

Laura tells Olivia, Lulu and Dante are divorced. Olivia says she’s aware of that, and Laura says. Then she knows it’s okay for Lulu to move on. She doesn’t owe Olivia any explanations. Lulu says she wants to make one thing clear. She’s not getting back at Dante. She would have stood by for as long as it took, but Dante didn’t want to. Laura says Dante wanted the marriage to end, and as painful as it is, Olivia ask to respect it. Olivia says, it was Dante’s choice, but not because he didn’t love Lulu or the children. He’ll get better; he’s coming back. Lulu says she held on to that hope for a long time, but she can’t live the rest of her life like that. Laura says, apparently Dante can’t either. Olivia says she’ll speak for him in his absence. Lulu barely knows a man she’s bringing into her and Rocco’s lives. Does she think that’s a good idea? Lulu says other than Rocco’s birthday party, and playing baseball with him, Dustin hasn’t been brought into Rocco’s life. Laura says, Lulu always puts her kids first. Olivia knows she’s a good mother. Until or unless Rocco is reacting negatively, she’ll respect Lulu decision. When she’s gone, Lulu says, that was fun. Laura says, not the way she wants to start the day. Lulu thanks Laura for having her back, and Laura says, always. Lulu says Olivia was getting ahead. She and Dustin are nowhere near serious. Laura says, good.

Josslyn tells Dustin, Oscar should be there. It’s so wrong that he isn’t. He would have loved Dustin’s class, especially Walden. He loved hiking, and everything about nature. He lived deliberately, and like Thoreau wrote, he didn’t get to live long enough. Dustin says, he sounds like a wonderful young man, and Josslyn says, the best. He deserved more time. They deserved more time. She tells Dustin, when she says things like that, she wants to scream. Dustin asks, how so? Josslyn sits on a bench, and says she feels sorry she’s alive and he’s not. Dustin asks if she’s discussed that feeling with anyone, and she says, a little, but nobody understands. They think they do, but they don’t. He says maybe she needs to talk to someone who does – her. He sits with her, and asks if she’s thought of keeping a journal. It’s a great way to work through her emotions. She doesn’t have to be careful, or watch what she says, or care what people think. It’s unfiltered. Josslyn says, like a diary. He says if she puts words on paper, without judgement or editing, it will start to clarify her feelings. It will help her know herself better. She says she’ll think about it.

In a hospital bed, Carly tells Jason, there’s no way to stop the labor. Sam comes in, and Carly asks if anyone has been able to reach Sonny, but Jason says he’s still with Dev. Sam says she’ll track him down. Jason says she’s got him, and tells her that she needs to breathe. Carly says he must feel like he’s spent his whole life telling her to breathe. Jason says, sometimes. She says she’s so scared. So many things can go wrong. He says, nothing will. Because this baby has her for a mom.

Dev tells Sonny that he might as well skip the rest of the school day, but Sonny says, get to school. Dev laughs, and thanks Sonny for what he said. Sonny says, he meant every word. Diane comes out, and Sonny thanks her. She says she’s looked into the adoption question. He asks how it’s going, and she says this is one time he might not get what he wants. Adopting Dev would be very complicated, and shine the light on areas he doesn’t want. Sonny’s phone dings, and he says, Carly is having a baby. Diane asks what he’s doing there. Go. Good luck. He jets, and she says, never a dull moment. Sheri comes in, and asks to see Jordan. She needs to speak with her. It’s important.

Franco is taken out of his room. Franco tells Elizabeth, for what it’s worth (what did I say?), he’s sorry he can’t give her what he wants. He’s brought into the elevator, and the doors close. Elizabeth says, then she’ll have to force him.

Lulu asks Laura if she agrees with Olivia deep down. Is she being irresponsible, or using Dustin to get back at Dante? Laura thinks Dustin is a nice guy, but she just wants to be clear, where is Lulu? Lulu says, grieving the end of her marriage. Laura says, it’s a big deal. She believes in Lulu, and she’s glad Lulu met Dustin, but thinks she should go very slowly; protect her heart. It happens to be very important to Laura.

Dustin tells the class to read to page 67 for tomorrow. They have five minutes to get back, or his job’s on the line. They all start walking. Cameron tells Josslyn that he and Trina wanted to find her, but Dustin wouldn’t let them. Josslyn says Dustin is really cool. They talked, and she felt like really heard her.

Sam talks to Michael on the phone, telling him that the baby is early. His mom is fine, and his father is on the way. She gets another call, and says she’ll talk to him later. It’s Jordan, who says they need to talk. Sam says she’s in the middle of something, but Jordan says she needs to see Sam right now. Sam says she answered all of Jordan’s questions, but Jordan says she has one more.

Carly says Jason has been there for the birth of every one of her kids. She was hoping Sonny would be there for this one. Sonny walks in, and says he heard she got started without him. Jason says, just in time, and Sonny takes his place at Carly’s bedside. Sonny kisses the top of Carly’s head, and holds her.

On Monday, Willow tells Harmony that Shiloh’s dead, Kristina asks someone if they’ve met before, Nelle is glad to finally meet someone, and Carly tells Sonny it’s time to meet their baby.
