What I Watched Today

(The whole GH enchilada on Fridays; the other days, who knows?)

General Hospital

Josslyn and Trina go tree shopping with Dex and Gio in Rice Plaza. Josslyn says, their first tree for their first apartment, and Dex asks if they didn’t have one in their dorm room, but Trina says, it was lame. She asks if Gio has something to say, but Josslyn shakes her head at him, and he says, good things come in small packages. Trina says, let Operation Christmas Tree commence.

Lucky watches a guitarist playing in the plaza and puts some money in his case. He bumps into Elizabeth and says, fancy meeting you here.

Back home, Alexis says, Molly left the courthouse before they had a chance to talk, and Molly asks, what is there to talk about? Ava was found not guilty. Case closed. Alexis says she wasn’t referring to the verdict. She was referring to what Molly’s sister said. Molly says, that Irene wasn’t her daughter? and Alexis says, she shouldn’t have said it. It was hurtful… Molly says, stop. It’s not working.

Martin goes to Laura’s office, and she says, what a nice surprise. He says, what her daughter managed to pull off is exciting and amazing, and Laura says, can he believe it? After four years, Lulu is finally back and doing great. She has a fully functioning liver and is coming along beautifully. They hug, and Laura says, once her incision is healed, Lulu will be in perfect health. Martin says, she knows it’s a miracle, right? It feels more poignant at this time of year. Laura agrees and he says, it wasn’t without its hiccups. She asks if he’s talking about Cyrus, and he says he heard about the mix-up at Turning Woods. She says, it wasn’t a mix-up. It was a deliberate deception. Cyrus convinced the doctors that he was allowed to give orders regarding Lulu’s medical care. She wonders what he was up to.

Sonny walks into Pozzulo’s with Kristina and asks if she’s hungry, but she says she can’t even think about eating. He says, the verdict was a shock and emotions were high, but she’ll be all right. She and Molly will figure it out after things settle. She didn’t mean what she said. She says she’s not talking about that. Molly wasn’t Adela’s mother. That’s a fact and she has zero regret about saying it.

Lucky says, Lulu is doing amazingly well after her adventure, and Elizabeth says, she’s a Spencer. Lucky asks if Aiden is with her, but she says, he’s at the mall with his friends. He asks if she’s here solo, and she says, unless he wants to be her wingman. He says he’d love to. What is she doing? She says she’s picking out a tree, and he says, from the puny ones? She says she thought something small would be nice, and he says, who is she and what has she done with Elizabeth? The tree is her favorite thing about Christmas, and a small one won’t hold a fraction of her ornaments. She needs a big tree. She asks how she’s going to drag it into the house, and he says, her wingman at her service. Now let’s get a real tree.

Martin says, so Laura is telling him that Lulu freaked out about Cyrus, pulled the fire alarm, snuck out of Turning Woods, and hitchhiked to Port Charles, and she says, yes, to all of the above. He says, damn. She takes after her mama. Laura says she’s proud of Lulu’s strength, but she hated that Lulu felt she was in danger. Why did no one tell her that Cyrus was volunteering there? He says, that’s probably why Cyrus didn’t tell him. He’s sorry. He’ll make sure Cyrus knows to leave their niece alone. She says she got a restraining order. Cyrus can go nowhere near any members of her family.

Alexis says she’s worried about Molly, and Molly asks if she isn’t worried about Kristina. Alexis says, of course (🍷), and Molly says, that’s why Alexis hasn’t gotten in the middle. Alexis says she tries not to interfere, but she wants to help when Molly is hurt. She can’t lose another daughter. Molly says, that’s why she has to go. Alexis won’t lose her ever, but if Alexis looks like she’s siding with her, she’ll absolutely lose Kristina.

Kristin says, Molly is choosing to believe Ava, and Sonny says, it’s surprising. Kristina says, Molly thinks if she labels the baby’s death as an accident it will be easier to process, and she can move on. But Kristina knows what happened. Ava pushed her out a window and killed her baby. She’s never going to forget that. He says, him neither. One way or another, Ava will pay.

Josslyn and Trina find their tree, and Dex asks if they’re sure. Josslyn says she senses doubt, and he says, that’s the fourth perfect tree they’ve found. Gio says, they’ve looked at every single one. and Josslyn says, perfection takes time. Gio says, Olivia, Lois, and Tracy have been arguing about the decorations for the Quartermaine Christmas party, and Trina asks if it’s not tomorrow. Gio asks if they’re coming, but Dex says he has to work and asks how deep Josslyn and Trina’s tree stand is… They don’t have one, do they? Trina asks if they don’t sell them here, and Dex says, while they pick one out, he’ll go get coffee. Josslyn tells Gio to guard the tree with his life, and leaves with Trina. Dex goes over to put some money in a charity collection bucket and realizes it’s Cyrus ringing the bell.

Martin asks how Lulu is adjusting. Four years is a lot of time to miss out on. Laura says, she’s trying to fill in the blanks at record speed. It took everything to convince her to rest. She’d like Lulu to ease into it and take care of herself. She doesn’t realize making peace with what she’s trying to is enormous. She’s having dinner with her son tonight. He says, Rocco must be thrilled and vice versa. Imagine waking up and years have passed. Laura says she can. She lived that.

Alexis says she’s not taking sides, but Molly says, Kristina isn’t going to see it that way. Alexis says, that’s between her and Kristina. Molly needs her and so does Kristina. She wants to help them grieve. Molly says, according to TJ and Kristina, she’s doing it wrong, and Alexis says, no one has the right to tell her that. Everyone grieves in their own way. It makes Kristina feel better to blame other people, and she’s having trouble accepting the verdict. Molly says, she has no choice, and Alexis tells her that she’s not saying it’s logical. Molly asks if Alexis thinks Ava pushed Kristina.

Sonny says he’s sorry that Molly bought what Ric and Ava were selling, and Kristina says, they don’t know Ava and how she ruins live for sport. That’s why she’s enraged at how Molly believes Ava over her. Sonny says, Molly had to believe it was an accident, and Kristina says, it simplifies it. If Molly labels it an accident, that removes the painful, confusing emotional process. He says, life doesn’t work that way. Life is messy. She says, if Molly wants to believe Ava, fine. Ava is guilty and her daughter deserves justice. Kristina is going to make damn well sure she gets it.

Lucky says, the tree is being tied to Elizabeth’s car, and Elizabeth says, this reminds her of their grand plan to move to New York City when they were teens. He says, they were going to live in Greenwich Village, and he was going to make a killing playing music in the park. She was going to be a famous and hugely successful artist. She says, it was a foolproof, practical plan, and he says, you’re supposed to dream big at that age. She says, it was hard not to get caught up in it. He was the first person to ever truly believe in her. He got her to believe in herself. He says he believes she’s worthy of all of it. She still is. She deserves the world. The tree guy tells them that they’re all set, and Lucky says he has the feeling it’s going to be a great Christmas.

Martin tells Laura that he’s sorry. He didn’t know. She says, when she was well enough to go home, the little girl she remembered was a spirited teen. Martin says he was one himself, and she says her too. She was proud of the person Lulu had become and was grateful to the people who took care of her when she couldn’t. Martin asks what it was like, and she says, it was bumpy and took time, but eventually they managed to build a mother/daughter relationship. It still kills her that she missed so much of Lulu’s childhood. Michael says, Lulu must feel the same way, and Laura says, she absolutely does. She’s proud of the young man he’s become, but part of her is mourning the loss of her little boy she didn’t have enough time with. She wishes she could do more. He asks if she’s had any luck with Charlotte, but she says, no. Has he heard from Valentin? He says, no. He would have told her. She says, the look on Lulu’s face when she told her that Charlotte was missing broke her heart.

Sonny says he’s proud of Kristina. She did everything she could for her daughter. She put her pain on display. She couldn’t do more. It’s done now. Let him deal with Ava. He knows it’s hard. She says, but it’s not honoring Adela, and he says, she has to find a new purpose.

Alexis tells Molly that she believes the jury arrived at a fair verdict given the circumstances. She knows Kristina can’t accept that yet. Molly says she doesn’t know if Kristina will ever get peace over the baby’s death. She sees it as a betrayal. Alexis says she hopes Kristina realizes that and doesn’t equate loving the baby with blaming Ava. Molly wonders why Alexis is the only one who hears her, and Alexis says, because she’s Molly’s mommy.

Cyrus says, it’s nice to see Dex, and Dex says he hopes Cyrus is obeying the restraining order. Cyrus says he’s filling his days with good works, but Dex says, that’s not an answer. Cyrus says, of course (🍷) he’s abiding by his sister’s wishes, and Dex says, he didn’t before. Cyrus says he has no idea what Dex is referring to, and Dex says he remembers seeing Cyrus in the hall at GH after Laura told him to stop visiting Lulu. Cyrus says he was distributing candy in the children’s wing, but Dex says he saw Cyrus on the 10th floor, coincidentally the floor Lulu’s room was on. Cyrus says, hand to God, he wasn’t there to see Lulu on Halloween.

Lucky and Elizabeth bring in the tree, and Lucky asks if Aiden is coming soon to help. She says, it’s doubtful, and Lucky says, it would be cool if Aiden came home to a Christmas wonderland… unless she thinks he would be upset. She says, he would be thrilled. Less work for him. Lucky says, let’s do it, and she asks if he’s offering to help decorate. He asks if she baked cookies, and she says, Aiden baked four different kinds. He says, they should be tested for quality control. They don’t want subpar cookies. Let’s get the place Santa ready. She thanks him and says, he exceeds wingman expectations. He says, there’s nowhere he’d rather be.

Sonny asks if Kristina has thought about his job offer, but she says she’s not excited about the coffee business. He says, what about the youth center? but she says she stepped aside because of the controversy about her relationship with Allie. He says, for a long time, it was her baby, and she says she’s proud of what she’s built, a safe space for queer teens, but she doesn’t think her involvement would be fair. The center needs to focus on the kids, not whether she’s a legit enough member of the LGBTQA+ community. She’s angry right now and doesn’t think she’s in the right headspace to help kids who are struggling. He says, she has more to offer – peace, love, and energy. She’ll figure out a way to channel it. She asks if he has any ideas, and he says he just might.

Josslyn insists the lights have to go on first, and Gio says, when he was growing up, there were so many cousins, everything was strictly regulated. Josslyn says, tell them more, and he says, no kids in the room until the uncles put the lights on, the low branches were saved for the littles, and no store-bought ornaments until the handmade ones were hung. One tradition he loved was that they were allowed to open a single present on Christmas Eve. Trina says she and her mom used to do that, and Josslyn asks if Dex is okay. He says he’s just trying to untangle the lights.

Lucky says he had to tell Lulu about their dad, and it was as awful as he imagined. Elizabeth says she’s sorry. Lucky must miss him. He says, every day. He’s grateful for the time they got and the relationship they had. She says she was always envious that he was so close to his parents. They had an actual family. He says, their hyper involvement wasn’t always a plus, but for the most part, it was cool, and she says, Luke was not only his dad, but his friend. She hopes to have that with her boys. He asks, who wouldn’t want to be friends with her?

Lucky says he’s decided to stay in Port Charles for a minute, and Elizabeth says, look at him. He’s throwing that out all casual. How long is a minute? He says, the foreseeable future, and she says, Aiden will be happy to hear that. He says, what about her? and she says she’s happy… for Aiden’s sake. He says, just Aiden? and she says, he’s proven to be a dependable wingman. She’ll take it. What are his plans? He says he needs to find a job, and she suggests he revisit an old dream. He says he needs a guitar, and she goes upstairs. He asks what she’s doing, but she says, nothing.

Josslyn asks if Dex wants to get out of here. She thinks she left something at Rice Plaza. Does he want to come with her? He says he’d go anywhere with her, and she tells Trina and Gio that they’ll be right back. They leave, and Gio asks, what’s that about? Trina says she has no clue.

Molly tells Alexis that she feels like a giant weight has been lifted. Kristina is angry and TJ claims she’s trying to forget the baby. She felt alone. Alexis says, she isn’t. Molly has her. Please don’t go. Molly says, okay, but Kristina… and Alexis says, they can’t live in fear about how Kristina is going to react. Besides, she feels alone. She misses Molly’s sister so much, it hurts. Molly says, so does she, and Alexis says, so stay. Molly agrees, and Alexis says she loves her. Molly says she loves Alexis too, and Alexis says she likes the sound of that.

Sonny says, now that Phyllis has moved back to Nixon Falls (thanks for finally telling us), Charlie’s has no owner, but Kristina says, he’s the owner. He says he needs someone to run it, but she says, he knows how to run a restaurant. He says, if he takes an active interest, the Feds will assume it’s a front, and she asks if he’s saying that he wants her to run it. He says he wants her to own it. She needs to focus on a challenge, something she’s excited about. She says she doesn’t think she can be excited right now, but he says, if she doesn’t move forward, she can get locked in her pain. She says, he doesn’t have to give her a restaurant to occupy her time, and he tells her that if she says no, from a business perspective, he’ll have to sell and he’d rather not. She asks if he’s saying she’d be doing him a favor, and he says, big time. What does she say?

In Rice Plaza, Josslyn says she thought Dex could use a break from the holiday reminders, and he says he’s not a Christmas hater, but it’s hard thinking about his parents. She says, he’s amazing. Look what he’s been through and look at him now. Her boyfriend, the police officer. He says he’s glad she was still here when he figured himself out, and she says, they’ll make great Christmas memories. Starting now. She takes out some mistletoe, holds it over their heads, and they kiss.

Still kissing, they go into Dex’s apartment. They get busy and there’s a song part. We see the mistletoe on the floor.

Kristina says she doesn’t know if she can focus, and Sonny says she has nothing to focus on. Work can be a lifeline, a way to change and make change in the world. She says, with a gastropub? and he says, it can be whatever she wants it to be. He knows she fought hard to get justice for Adela. Now it’s time to take care of herself. At least think about it. She says she will, and he says, seriously. She says, deal, and they shake hands.

Molly asks Alexis not to push her and Kristina to make up, and Alexis promises to respect Molly’s boundaries and not push. Molly says, no, oops, I invited Kristina over and forgot you were living here, and Alexis says, if Kristina doesn’t want to come over, she’ll meet her someplace else. Molly asks if her dad is allowed to visit, and Alexis says, fine. Just tell her and she’ll be someplace else. She’s happy to take care of her little girl. Molly says, they’ll take care of each other.

Laura says she should have kept a closer eye on Valentin and stopped him, but Martin says, how would she know he’d go into hiding? She says, Valentin won her over. She was starting to feel sorry for him and should have been smarter. He says, outsmarting Valentin is a challenge. He’s known Valentin for years, the way an attorney knows a client, and he’s never met anyone so expert at compartmentalizing. He’s an artist at accommodating the image he wants people to see in the moment. She saw a loving father. She says she believes he loves Charlotte, and he says, he agrees. She says she believes Charlotte is the most important person in Valentin’s life, but it’s a selfish love. He chose to take her with him, but was it for Charlotte’s good? No. He couldn’t bear to be parted from her and he put his own needs ahead of hers. That’s not going to work.

Elizabeth brings down a guitar and tells Lucky that it’s Cameron’s. He wants Lucky to borrow it. Lucky says he can’t take it, and she says, yeah. It should be collecting dust. He says he detects sarcasm, and she tells him that he said guitars were meant to be played. Play something. He says, it’s been a while, and starts to play. She says, it’s one of her favorites, and he sings a song about Elizabeth. We flash back to him singing it to her when we were all babies, and they kiss. He sings, all I want is Elizabeth, and they smile.

A woman puts a contribution in Cyrus’s charity bucket, and says, bless you. You’re doing God’s work. He says, they all have to do their part, and flashes back to going into Sam’s room. He puts the digitalis into her IV bag and smooths her hair.

Told ya.

Tomorrow, Maxie asks if Sasha has made any decisions about her plans; Trina says, Josslyn is not going to believe what just happened: Michael asks if Curtis is accepting his offer to team up and take Drew down; and Lulu tells Nina to prove she loves Charlotte.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Diana and Danni check out Chase as he swabs the deck. In Gary’s interview, he says, Chase is stubborn and stuck up in his own ways – we flash back – but he’s going to try his hardest. If Chase is anything like last season, it’s going to be quite interesting. In Chase’s interview, he says he’s going to work his ass off, but instead of trying to impress Gary, he’s going to try flying under Gary’s radar. Captain Glenn calls for a preference sheet meeting, and says, the primary is Ronnie, a CEO from Chicago. It’s a field trip for her 50th birthday, and they want a floating 7-star hotel. Gary reads that they want to sail around one of the islands and see a local boat procession. Cloyce says, they want an impressive spread the first night, and Glenn says, they want midnight snacks. Daisy says, Ronnie wants a Studio 54 birthday party, and in Captain Glenn’s interview, he says he liked the 70’s. We see a picture of a young Glenn with afro hair, and he dances. Sort of.

Provisions come in, and in Diana’s interview, she says she usually dates guys who are tall and fit. Of course she has an eye on Chase. Danni asks where Chase is from, and he says, South Carolina. In his interview, he says he wants to work on acting professional. Stay away from him. He wants to behave. Danni says she’s going to bed and tells him, don’t get in trouble. In Danni’s interview, she says her prayers have been answered. She has a lot of feelings. They’re mostly under her skort. In Cloyce’s interview, he says, the last charter went well, and the guests seemed to enjoy it. We flash back to that, and he says he’s hoping to ride that high into the next charter. A 50th is a big deal and getting worse is not an option. Chase works on doing that thing where the chef makes one food look like another and turns a mango into a fried egg. In Daisy’s interview, she wonders if rooming with Gary is the right decision. She can keep an eye on him. She’s trying to get him to be better for himself. In Gary’s interview, he says he thinks if they can share living together on a boat, living in a house together will be a breeze. She tells him that he snores loud, and he asks how she’d know.

Captain Glenn approves the boat’s readiness and calls the crew to the cockpit. The guests arrive, and the captain tells them, welcome to Spain. They’re going to get out quick, so he’s handing them over to Daisy. Daisy does the tour, and the boat pulls out. The guests get excited when Daisy tells them that Danni is a master at espresso martinis. Ronnie tells her that the rule is, always focus on her. They woo! then drink. Captain Glenn tells the interior that they’re going sailing, and in his interview, he says he’s happy to have someone of Chase’s caliber on board. He’s feeling good about this. Ronnie appreciates the glassware, and I think, she’d better hang onto it, because the sails are going up. Things slide and fall. Danni shows Chase her photos on her phone, and in Diana’s interview, she says, it’s not nice. Chase scrolls Danni’s phone while Diana serves the guests.

Daisy asks Cloyce if they can serve lunch while still sailing, and he says, it’s fine. She tells the stews to do a plain table setting. As Cloyce plates, he says, sexy and delicious. Ronnie wants to know if they have to eat every meal at this table because it will be irritating. A guest asks for rosé, and Daisy can’t find any. She asks if the rosé came in, but Diana says she didn’t see it. In Daisy’s interview, she says she can’t believe she forgot to order rosé. She f***ed up. Diana finds an open bottle, and Daisy says, it’s better than nothing. She can’t think of anything more awkward. Chase tells Gary that everyone seems nice. Only good vibes. Daisy asks Captain Glenn where she can go to get rosé, and he says, do it quick. He puts the sails down, and Daisy helps Cloyce plate. He says, these are the moments they’re going to miss, plating some salad together. Anchor is dropped at Cala Compte, Ibiza, and Daisy tells Chase to drop Danni off to get some rosé when they find a restaurant. Gary puts out the seabob for the guests, while Danni tries to find someone on shore who speaks English. She radios Daisy and says, the restaurant is closed. There’s no one there, and no one speaks English. There’s nothing there. In Daisy’s interview, she says she can’t believe the store is closed. No matter what, don’t come back without the f***ing rosé. Danni asks a neighboring boat if they have rosé, but it’s a no.

A guest wants more rosé, and in Daisy’s interview, she says she can’t believe this is happening. Chase says, this looks promising, and Danni goes into a bar/restaurant. She gets the rosé, and in her interview, she says she’s so stoked. They got it done. She reckons she and Chase are a good team. They get sh*t done and still manage to have fun. They take a selfie, and in her interview, she says, all she’s been striving for, she finally got it. Daisy suggests Cloyce work on timing, and in Cloyce’s interview, he says he wants the food to be perfect. He wants the communication perfect. If it goes according to plan, everything is going to be sexy. WOTD.

Danni tells Diana that Chase is hot. He winked at her, and she liked it. The guests begin dinner, and Cloyce mumbles, rock and roll, baby, as he goes up with the yellowtail. The wind picks up, and Daisy asks if the guests want to move. Daisy tells Cloyce what’s happening, while Captain Glenn entertains the guests with a literal fish story. In Daisy’s interview, she says, they’re suddenly in this situation while they’re moving. We usually find a lull, but Glenn isn’t lulling. It’s the longest story about a fish of all time. Cloyce is annoyed, and in his interview, he says, Daisy claimed she was the greatest. Now would be a good time to enact those decades of knowledge. Tell him when the guests aren’t at the table. The guests ask how old Cloyce is, and he says, 22. He tells them that they don’t look a day over 25. Danni bitches to Daisy about Cloyce, and in her interview, Daisy says, Cloyce wants communication from her, but he’s not willing to give her the same. The communication is one-sided.

Captain Glenn wonders why the meal took so long, and Daisy says, some people don’t understand communication. He tells her not to let it get to her. They’ll solve it after dinner. When the guests find out Cloyce is 22, they decide they failed with their kids. They’re super amazed at Cloyce. They dessert is brought up and it looks like a fried egg on shredded cheese. Guest Tammy pronounces it spectacular. Danni massages Chase’s shoulders, and he says she has the hands of a carpenter. Daisy tells Cloyce that if he has a problem with timing, speak to her, not the girls. It helps if he shares what he needs. He apologizes for snapping at the girls, and she says, it’s not for her; it’s for him. Her service is great, but he needs to make the timing so that the guests aren’t sitting awkwardly. Did they reach the same conclusion? He says he thinks so, and in Daisy’s interview, she says, this isn’t how she expected it to go, but she’s glad they’re on the same level. In Cloyce’s interview, he says, Daisy’s intensity is attractive. She’s yelling, but he’s not paying attention. It’s easy to get lost in her smile and eyes. Okay. So he’s into women yelling at him.

Cala Compte, Ibiza. Anchor is home, and Chase asks if Diana needs help. He helps put on napkin rings, and she asks how he’s getting along. He says, swimmingly, and in Chase’s interview, he says, Diana is tricky to read. She and Danni are both stunning. This isn’t meant to offend, but really? They’re both good looking girls, but stunning is a bit of a stretch. Although Diana does look stunning when she’s dressed up. Chase says, all of his plans to just be single and do his job, his plans are in trouble. Guest Melanie wants sweetened coffee, but more sweet than coffee, and makes Daisy run back and forth no less than five times. In Daisy’s interview, she says she still can’t catch a break. The sexiest breakfast porn ever comes out, but Melanie still isn’t satisfied with her pseudo coffee and asks for tea. In her interview, Daisy says she can’t even. They need to get the tender and bring Melanie to Starbuck’s. The guests jump in the water, and suddenly, Ronnie wails. She’s been stung by a jellyfish. Captain Glenn brings antiseptic, and Daisy gets ice. Ronnie cries that her leg is on fire, and the captain tells Davide to grab the stinger easy and pull it out or kill it with alcohol. Ronnie says, it’s getting increasingly painful, and in Captain Glenn’s interview, he says, jellyfish sometimes leave a piece of the stinger, and it continues to release venom. They need to get it out. Davide says, it looks like it’s quite in there, but he gets it out with tweezers. Captain Glenn says, it’s going to hurt for a bit, and Ronnie says she’ll suck it up. She’s a better man than I am. I’d probably be a big baby.

In the crew mess, Chase says, the crew must be on their best behavior. He hasn’t heard any awful stories. Daisy says, Danni hooked up with Gary and almost had a thing with Keith, and in Danni’s interview, she asks if Daisy is trying to put something in Chase’s head. She tells Chase that nothing happened with Keith and Gary was a one-time thing. She leaves, and Diasy follows her. She tells Danni that she’s sorry. She shouldn’t have started anything, but everyone knows. Danni says she chose to forget, and Daisy jokes that she’s here to remind Danni. In Danni’s interview, she says, it’s petty sh*t. Why is Daisy telling him that? There’s no f***ing need. She tells Daisy, what the f***?

Next time, Ronnie acts like an ass about her birthday; and Diana says, Danni knows what she’s doing. What the f***?

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Elizabeth tells Isaiah, they don’t know who he is or where he’s from, but she’s sure of one thing. He matters to someone out there. Isaiah opens his eyes, grabs her wrist and says, Lucky.

Sidwell comes back and tells the guard to take Lucky’s cuffs off. Lucky asks why he’s so glum. Was it not the good news he was hoping for? Sidwell says, the night is young, and Lucky asks if he wants to talk, but he says he’s more interested in resuming their card game. They’ve played dozens of hands, over 100, and Lucky has yet to lose. Enjoy it while it lasts. Sooner or later, he’ll lose then he dies. Lucky says he has to keep winning then. Wish him luck. Sidwell looks at Lucky’s hand and says, looks like his luck just ran out, when a guard comes in. While Sidwell is distracted, Lucky slips some cards up his sleeve, and the guard says, there’s news from the mine

Carly puts flowers in Lulu’s room and says, if she opens her eyes today, she’ll see something pretty. They’re all fighting for her, especially her mom. She’s gone to the other side of the world to find Lulu’s brother. He’s the best chance she has for a match. If anyone can find Lucky, it’s Laura. Lulu will be fine. She just has to fight a little longer.

In Anna’s office, Jordan tells Anna that the would-be assassin was brought to the station, booked, and he’s behind bars. She hopes he rots. Anna is writing this down, and Jordan tells her to leave out that last part. Anna says, great work apprehending the assassin. Not too shabby for a Deputy Mayor. Jordan says, they don’t know who the John Doe is or why someone wants him dead. The assassin has no ID and won’t talk.  Anna says, that’s where she comes in. She’ll keep Jordan posted. They’ll know more when their John Doe wakes up. Jordan leaves, and Jason knocks at the door.

Molly calls Diane and leaves a message that her mom needs help. Kristina and Michael come in, and Kristina asks what Molly is still doing here. Molly says, their mom is at the police station for questioning about the murder of John Cates.

Anna says, Jason must be glad. Alexis was brought in as a person of interest in John Cates’s murder. She’s being questioned, and right now his boss is off the hook. She asks if she can help him with something, and he says, she asked him to come by. She says she asked him to come with her, but he didn’t. He says he was busy. Now he’s not. What does she need? She says she needs to know who she’s dealing with, who she’s been dealing with. She thought they had an alliance of sorts. They worked together to find out who ran Pikeman and regarding John Cates. She can see it’s all over. She thought they’d become friends. Jason says, they worked well together. They didn’t agree on everything, but he did give her extra time to warn Valentin. She says, then he told Sonny that Valentin was running Pikeman, but he says he didn’t tell Sonny that she helped Valentin get away. That stays between them. She thanks him for coming in. He has his job to do and she has hers, so unless he can provide information about Cates’s murder or something else in her official capacity, she has work to do. He says, give him a minute. He thinks he’s earned it.

Sidwell says he has to triple check Lucky and looks at his cards again. He says, time to move to a new location.

Elizabeth tells Isaiah that he’s okay. He’s in the hospital. Don’t try to talk. She’ll let the doctor know he woke up. She calls for TJ to come to the room and tells Isaiah that he’s on his way. He asks where he is, and she says, General Hospital in Port Charles, New York. He says, Port Charles? Lucky, he… Elizabeth says, he was brought in with no ID. Can he tell her his name? He says, Isaiah Gannon… Lucky… his friend… sent him here. Lucky Spencer. She asks how he knows Lucky, when TJ comes in. He says, Elizabeth is needed at the nurses’ station, and she says she’ll be back as soon as she can, and leaves.

Drew tells Jordan that the governor’s office is going to have a special election, but even if one of them finishes McConkey’s term, that could change in a couple months. She stares off into space, and Drew says, Jordan? She says, sorry, and he asks what’s on her mind. She says, not much. Just the attempted murder she walked in on.

Michael asks Molly why they think Alexis knows anything. She wasn’t even at the Quartermaines. Molly says, she was seen tossing a gun in the water at Blackstone Canyon. Kristina wouldn’t happen to know about that, would she? Michael says, they know Alexis didn’t do it, so there’s no need to panic, and Molly says she saw that look he gave Kristina. It was a signal to shut up. Michael says, there’s no need for cross examination, and Molly say she’s talking to her sister. What was Kristina going to say before Michael stopped her? What does she know about this gun?

Jordan tells Drew, it’s a long story. The John Doe is under guard and the assassin is in custody. Her old instincts kicked in. He says, Deputy Mayor by day, vigilante warrior by night, and she says she doesn’t plan to make it a habit, but she wasn’t about to let it go down. She’s so distracted. She keeps going over it in her head. She thinks either their John Doe is dangerous or in danger or both. Whatever the case, she can’t stop thinking about it.

Elizabeth calls Carly and says, she might want to come to the hospital. Carly says she’s already here visiting Lulu. Is everything okay? Elizabeth says, they have a patient who’s a John Doe. The first thing he said when he woke up is that Lucky sent him to Port Charles. Carly says, if Lucky sent him… and Elizabeth says, he might know how to get ahold of Lucky or know where he is. They could have a liver donor. Carly asks, what floor? and Elizabeth says, 8. Carly says she’s on her way, and tells Lulu, it looks like their prayers are being answered.

Isaiah asks if they ran a CT scan, and TJ says, they did. Isaiah wonders if there was any bleeding or fractures, but TJ says, he was all clear. Isaiah asks if they did a CBC count, and TJ says, he’s a doctor. Isaiah asks, what gave it away? and TJ says, doctors are the worst patients, and he’s the worst there is. Definitely in the top five. He’s getting the best possible care and is in great hands. Isaiah says he’ll reserve judgement for later, and TJ says he’ll let the police know Isaiah is awake and chatty, and Isaiah asks if that can wait until later. He’s got a lot to tell.

Anna says, Jason has one minute, and he says, they worked well together when they left Sonny out of it. Anna asks if he’s suggesting she put him aside even though he’s a suspect, and he says, she’s basing that on a missing registered weapon. She asks if Sonny would never use a gun he legally owned to commit a murder, and he says, Sonny isn’t stupid. She asks if it’s not possible he got rid of the evidence because he assumed they’d think that, and he says, that would be a stretch. She says, the problem is that she’s been doing this for quite some time. She trusts her gut, and it’s telling her that Sonny did this. She doesn’t know for certain, but Jason does. Her phone rings, and she says she’ll be right over. She tells Jason that John Doe is awake, the man whose life he saved. She thanks him and he says he wants to finish this another time.

Kristina says she doesn’t know about the gun. She was going to say that their mom needs them both… Molly says, she’s lying, but Kristina says she’s not. Molly says, she’s not an idiot. What has Kristina done and how is mom wrapped up in it? Kristina says she’s done nothing, but Molly says, their mom got rid of a gun the night someone shot and killed John Cates. Where was Kristina and who was she with? Kristina says she was alone at the baby’s grave, and Molly says, of course (🍷). Kristina says, it’s the truth, and Molly says, mom would do anything for Kristina, and the one time Kristina can come through for her, she doesn’t. Whatever happened, she’s going to get to the bottom of it. They can panic now. She leaves.

Carly says she can’t wait to find out where Lucky is, when Elizabeth gets a hospital 911 and says she has to go. She tells the guard to let Carly in. Carly goes into Isaiah’s room and says she’s sorry to bother him. He asks if she’s with the hospital, and she says she’s Carly Spencer. She’s Lucky’s cousin. Isaiah knows him? Isaiah says he’s honored to meet Lucky’s family, and Carly asks if he can tell her where Lucky is. It’s a matter of life or death.

Molly barges in on TJ and says he won’t believe what happened. He asks what Kristina did now, and she says, it’s a new low, even for Kristina. He says he’s braced, and she says, her mom is at the police station. She thinks Alexis is about to be arrested for something Kristina did.

Kristina thinks she should tell the truth and get her mom off the hook, but Michael says, the gun that shot John won’t be the same model number. But they can’t prove it wasn’t the gun because her mom got rid of it. Kristina asks how that sounds, and Michael says, bad.

Anna asks how the John Doe is, and Elizabeth tells her that his name is Isaiah Gannon, and he might know where Lucky is. He said Lucky sent him to Port Charles. Carly is in there trying to get more information. Anna says, so he’s lucid? She needs to speak to him on her own. Elizabeth says, good luck getting Carly out of there, and Anna goes to Isaiah’s room. Jason comes out of the elevator, and he and Elizabeth look at each other.

Head mine guy tells Sidwell that they’re extracting smaller quantities every day, and Sidwell says, they should be getting 10 pounds weekly. Mine guy says, they got barely a pound today and they’ve stripped the entire area. They have to move. Sidwell says, very well, and as mine guy is about to leave, Sidwell shoots him dead. He tells Lucky, search him.

Jordan says her head’s not in the game, and Drew says she doesn’t have to apologize. He thinks it’s kinda great. She saved the day. Look him in the eye and tell him that she’d rather be with the PD. It’s fine. He can defend democracy himself. They got a big chunk done and the rest can wait. He thinks she should go back to Anna.

Anna introduces herself to Isaiah and says she needs to speak to him alone. Official business. Carly says, this is family business and they’re racing the clock to find Lucky. Anna suggests they start with his name, and he says, Dr. Isaiah Gannon. She asks how he ended up here at GH, and he asks where she wants to start. She asks how he knows Lucky, and he says, he was working overseas, providing medical relief in international areas in need. Lucky provided supplies. It was a risky job, but Lucky’s not one to run from danger. The danger got up close and personal when they were abducted by Sidwell, a crime boss war lord. Anna says she knows who Sidwell is, and Isaiah says, mining takes manpower and men in mines get sick and hurt. Sidwell acquired him to be his doctor. He’s kind of a hypochondriac. He and Lucky had a break-out plan, and he got out, but as far as he knows, Lucky is still in the compound. Lucky told him that if he managed to make it to Port Charles, to contact the WSB. Can Anna do that for him? Anna says she can, but they have a time crunch and asks where the compound is. Isaiah says, Somali, near the Shebelle River, and Carly says she has to get that information to the person who can get to Lucky.

Michael says, Kristina has to think rationally, not emotionally. What was she going to do, confess that she stole the gun from dad and Alexis disposed of it? Kristina says, Molly is upset and hurt with her, not mom. Molly is blinded by grief and rage and not thinking clearly. She has to do something to help mom. Michael says, Alexis will be fine. Molly won’t let her go down for murder.

TJ asks what Kristina did, and Molly says, her mother is now a person of interest in John Cates murder. A witness saw Alexis dispose of a gun by throwing it off the bridge the night of the murder. Add Kristina to the equation. She denied everything. TJ says, of course (🍷), and Molly says, but she’s in this up to her eyeballs. And somehow Michael is involved, but she’s not sure how. TJ says, Kristina always finds someone to clean up her messes, and Molly says she has to figure this out objectively. She needs to come at this as an ADA, not Kristina’s sister. Cates had Kristina arrested, so she’s got motive, and she’s got no alibi. She knows because mom and Sam were calling her, asking where Kristina was. Now mom got rid of a gun, presumably for Kristina. TJ asks if she can prove it, but she says, not yet. Michael doesn’t want Kristina to talk. He asks where that leaves her, thinking as an ADA, and she says, it’s all circumstantial, but it only leads to one place. Kristina killed John Cates. (Ugh. These two.)

Anna asks how Isaiah ended up in a ditch on Route 41, and he says, that part is hazy. When he flew in, he could tell someone was following him. He tried to lose them, but they tailed him. He ditched the car and ran, then bam! All he remembers is waking up here. Anna shows him her phone and asks if that’s the man who was following him. He says, yeah. How did she know? She says, he was caught trying to inject a lethal dose of fentanyl into Isaiah’s IV, and Isaiah says, an opioid overdose is a nasty way to go out. He thanks her for the rescue, but she says, it wasn’t her. It was the Deputy Mayor.

Jordan tells Drew that she’s staying not being a cop, but it raised questions. They can be answered tomorrow, so how about defending democracy? It does do her heart good to know she’s still got it. .

Kristina asks what she can do, and Michael says, absolutely nothing. The police will realize there’s not enough to go on and let Alexis go. Kristina says she didn’t kill Cates. She knows mom believes her because she wants to, Molly won’t because she doesn’t want to, but what about him? Why does he believe her?

Carly goes to Jack’s office, and he asks to what he owes the pleasure. She says she needs help, and he says he assumes it’s in the pursuit of justice and the enforcement of international law. Shed says, it is, and he says he’s intrigued. She says she needs to know the exact location of Lucky Spencer, and he closes the door. He says, Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr. was last seen at the Kenya-Somalia border. He tracked Lucky for his mother recently. Carly says she needs to know his exact location now.

Elizabeth says she’s happy to see Jason. It’s been a weird day. A patient was found in the Pine Barrens, the victim of a hit and run. Jason says, he’s the one who found him, and she says, coincidences abound. He knows Lucky. He asks, how? but she says she doesn’t know. She keeps getting called away. Jason says, they have to talk to him, but she says, Anna is in there. He asks what the patient has said so far, and she says, not so much, but whatever he has to say about Lucky seems pretty urgent.

Kristina says she knows she’s Michael’s sister and he loves her and blah-blah-blah, but does he have a reason? He says he does. He knows she’s not capable of killing someone. She says, he’s right, she’s not capable of killing someone, even someone she hated as much as she hated Cates. She wanted him gone. He says, there’s a big different between wanting someone dead or wanting to kill them and going through with it, and she says she wanted him gone, but she didn’t kill him. Michael says he’s going to make sure none of them go down for the murder – Alexis, dad, or her. Molly is suspicious and there’s only a matter of time before they’re questioned. Kristina says she was afraid of that, and he says, no matter how bad she wants to help her mom, stay quiet. She has to understand that and let Diane handle it. There’s too much riding on this. She can’t say anything to anyone.

TJ asks if Molly thinks her sister could kill someone. She’s emotional, impulsive, and reckless, but a killer? Molly says, they’re coming at this objectively, and he says, can they? She says, let’s try. She has to come at this like any other case, and the facts point to Kristina. He asks what she’s going to do, and she says, what she has to. She’s not letting her mother take the fall for something Kristina did. She’s going to get Alexis exonerated and get Kristina to confess.

Jack tells Carly that using WSB resources for personal reasons is frowned on. He already tried get Lucky’s location. If he does it again, he might get in trouble. He’s already been busted from director to station chief. If he screws up one more time, he could be a janitor. She says, it’s a matter of life or death. Her cousin is fighting for her life. He says, she’s not shy about tugging at his heartstrings, and she says, he has a heart. Now it’s his chance to prove it. He says he’ll see what he can do. He has a difficult time saying no to her. She says, most people do, but he says he guesses not for the same reason. He picks up the phone and says he wants an update on the search for Lucky. (I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I love Jack. He’s the new Valentin in my eyes. Valentin could possibly come back, but after he tampered with Sonny’s meds, I can’t look at him the same way.)

Anna comes out and tells Elizabeth, all hers. Elizabeth thanks her and Jason, and she goes into Isaiah’s room. Anna says, Jason should go in and take credit for his good deed, but he says he’d really like to finish their conversation. She says she did, but he says he didn’t. She says, fine. She goes first. They walk around the corner, and she says she appreciates his discretion with Sonny regarding her letting Valentin get away, and he says, it stays between them. She says, that’s the problem. Jason is a man with exceptional skills, and she believes has a strong sense of integrity, but he functions outside, regardless of the law. She’s been there and understands more than anyone the position he’s in. How difficult it is to have feet on both sides of the boundary. He was kept away from his children and family, and she thinks that’s why she was encouraging him to take a strong step over the boundary. He has, just not in the direction she’d hoped for. He says he’s not going to abandon Sonny, but he doesn’t see why that should prevent them from helping each other if they need to. She asks why he wants to help her, and he says, because he considers her a friend too. She says she wishes she felt the same still, and he tells her to let him know if that changes. She says she hopes it does, and leaves.

Lucky searches mine guy’s body and hands Sidwell a couple of gold nuggets. Sidwell says, bastard. His so called righthand was skimming off the top. Does Lucky know what the worst part is? Lucky says, if he had to guess, he’d say it was disloyalty, but loyalty has limits. Greed has none. But mine guy was right. The mine is drying up. Sidwell asks how Lucky does it. He was just about to shoot and kill him if he answered wrong, but Lucky wins again. Lucky says, and he thought his streak was over, and Sidwell says, it will be soon. It’s time to move on. He’s lost contact with the man tracking Lucky’s friend and doesn’t know if he should take Lucky with him or end it right now. He aims his gun at Lucky, and Lucky says, come on. Sidwell looks at Lucky’s cards and laughs. He says, Lucky really is the luckiest man alive. He laughs again and pats the chair. He tells Lucky, as you were, and tells the guard to cuff Lucky again. And get someone to clean this up. Sidwell leaves, and Lucky tells the guard, don’t ever give that guy bad news, word of advice. The guard leaves and Lucky takes a gold nugget out of his sleeve.

Elizabeth introduces herself to Isaiah and says she used to be married to Lucky. They have a son together – Aiden. Isaiah says, Lucky mentioned her. He said she was beautiful. Usually Lucky exaggerates, but he doesn’t think Lucky did her justice in this case. She thanks him and asks what he can tell her about Lucky. He says, they worked together for a few years being modern day Robin Hoods. She says, that sounds like Lucky. She’s had a bad feeling. Aiden has been trying to get ahold of his dad for some time. Is he okay? Isaiah says, he’s seen Lucky in difficult situations, but he’s never seen him in one like this. The last time he saw Lucky, he was still breathing, but he doesn’t know if that’s still the case.

Tomorrow, Nina asks if she can tempt Ric with something stronger; Anna asks Isaiah why someone would want to kill him; And Jack tells Carly that he trusts her judgement.

🐪 Oh For Camel’s Sake…

Look at those dresses… Sorry, I got distracted by the glamorous Red Sea. I’m not a huge fan of Reunions, since they inevitably reach that point where everyone is talking over everyone, and nothing can be understood. This one culminated with Ayan literally screeching long and hard. The view of Taleen’s nether regions, now known as V-gate, was rehashed. Stanbury said she wasn’t the one who belabored the point. She’d only mentioned it once during a phone conversation, but Brooks kept bringing it up. Excellent point. Taleen was over it in like, five seconds, yet Brooks held onto it for the whole season. It was also disturbing to hear that Ayan got backlash from revealing how she’d been the casualty of female genital mutilation as a child. I can’t think of much that’s more unfair or disgusting, unless it’s bullying someone about it. Apparently, Lesa had used the word victim to describe her, and Ayan was less than pleased about that as well. Someone drop a clue on Lesa that we use the term survivor these days.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Laura asks, what hell are you doing here? and Cyrus (didn’t see that coming) says, hell had nothing to do with it. Laura tells Lulu, mom is here. She’ll be right back. She and Cyrus go out into the hall, and Laura says, Lulu’s doctor called her. Why is he here? He says he hasn’t seen Laura in months and assumed she had her hands full with the baby, her mayoral duties, and Heather. He visits frequently, so he’s surprised he hasn’t run into her.

Ava leaves a voicemail for Scotty. She asks, where’s the pharmacist? Is everything okay? She needs for him to call her back. She throws her phone as Nina walks in. Nina picks it up and says she thinks Ava dropped something.

Dante comes home, and Sam hugs him. She says she brought Scout home from her softball game. She was awesome. She’s upstairs and she’s sure she’ll tell Dante all about it. She’s headed over to her mom’s, since Kristina is there. Is he okay to stay and watch the kids? He says, the kids aren’t a problem, but Kristina isn’t at her mom’s.

Molly meets TJ at the hospital, and he says he heard about Kristina. He’s so sorry. She says, her mom is with Kristina, but she’s had no chance to talk to her. She did have time to be reprimanded by his mom. She used her authority as ADA to confront Ava in jail. Scotty complained to the DA’s office, and it landed on the Deputy Mayor’s desk. All she could think about was that her child was gone because of Ava. She could have been suspended or fired, but instead she got more than her share of professional courtesy and grace off the books. She doesn’t regret confronting Ava, but she’s sorry about so many other things. She hopes he can forgive her.

Alexis tells John that her emergency hearing should be granted soon, and John says, Kristina assaulted and threatened to kill a federal witness. She says, this is malicious prosecution and doesn’t serve him, which he’ll find out in court.

Sonny goes into the interrogation room, and Kristina asks why this is happening. He says he’s going to take care of everything.

Kristina tells Sonny that John claims she threatened Ava and tried to kill her, but that’s not what happened. Ava grabbed her. She only threatened to tell the court the truth about Ava on the witness stand. Sonny says he’ll tell her what’s going on. Is she up to hearing it? She says, yeah, and he says, he and Jagger go way back to a time when he did things he’s not proud of. That’s a weight that he’ll have to live with. The guilt is his weight, not hers. She says, his past doesn’t matter, but he says, Jagger has come back to settle the score. Jagger knows how much he loves her, and that’s why Jagger is targeting him.

Nina says, her life is in her phone, and hands Ava’s phone to her. Ava asks what she wants, and Nina says she managed to squeeze out half a page for the artist Ava is so excited about. Ava says, under other circumstances, she’d be thrilled, but she has bigger concerns. Her lawyer isn’t answering his phone. Nina says, Scotty isn’t always reliable, and Ava says she was arrested for murder and the FBI agent who was helping her clearly has his own agenda. Go ahead and say it. She has nobody to blame but herself. Nina says, it’s true she wanted to see what Ava had coming to her, but this is not what she had in mind. Ava says, Nina wanted to see her suffer. She got her wish.

Molly says she’s sorry she was hiding behind work and left TJ to handle everything, but he says, she’s grieving too, and he wasn’t always understanding. She says, it’s like living in a slow-motion nightmare. She’s living in one horrible moment when the next comes. Sonny and Kristina got off the elevator, and Kristina was ready to go home, when Agent Cates stormed in and arrested Kristina. He claims Ava is a witness in a RICO violations case, and Kristina assaulted her. He says, that doesn’t sound right, and she says, their mom went into lawyer mode, but now she’s starting to wonder if she shouldn’t have defended Kristina.

Laura asks if the doctor has been in there, and Cyrus says, no one’s been in there since he got here. She asks how often he visits Lulu, and he says he tries to be here two or three times a week. He reads the Bible to her. He’s her uncle, and he hopes it brings her a little comfort. Laura asks why he didn’t tell her, and he says he knows she’s got a lot going on, so he thought he’d help. He sees now that he should have cleared it with her, and he apologizes. If it causes her distress, he’ll stop. She says she appreciates his intentions. She’s worried about Lulu. He asks, why? and she says, the doctor asked to see her. She said something’s not right with Lulu’s tests, and there was an urgency about it. He asks if she’d like him to pray with her, and she says, her only prayer is that if her daughter needs help, she has the strength to give it to her.

Alexis tells Kristina that she got the emergency hearing, and Kristina wants to know how this happened. Alexis says, it’s a desperate miscalculation by a desperate man, and it’s going to blow back on Cates big time. She’ll be in the courtroom and meet Kristina outside. She leaves, and Sonny says, they’ve got this. Don’t worry. He leaves, and Kristina says, it isn’t her fault. Ava grabbed her. She flashes back and says, Ava grabbed me.

Doc asks if Lulu is okay, and Laura says she only saw Lulu for a moment. Cyrus was there. Cyrus says he’s only seen the nurse since he’s been here, and Laura says, apparently, Cyrus visits Lulu regularly. Cyrus says, among other patients, and Doc says, ministering, he supposes. The doctor joins them and says she’s run some tests and is waiting for the results. She’ll see if the lab can put a rush on them. She wants to have the most current information in hand before she updates Laura. Doc asks if she has any indication of what’s going on, and she says, when they get the results, they can decide on what course of action, if any, they want to go for. She leaves, and Cyrus says he doesn’t wish to intrude. He’ll pray for them both. He leaves, and Doc asks if Laura is okay with Cyrus visiting. She says she doesn’t know. She can’t think about anything but Lulu.

Nina asks why an FBI agent would concern himself with a custody case. It’s not something they usually take on. Ava says, he wanted information he could use against Sonny. She told him that she had nothing to give him, then Sonny showed up at her hotel suite. He was livid about the custody battle. Nina knows how he gets quiet and intense, and Cates stepped in. Nina says, Sonny can be intense, but she doesn’t believe he’d harm Ava, and Ava says, Sonny hates her and Cates was there for her like a hero. He said he’d help her with the custody battle, so she threw in with him. The only thing she cares about and that matters to her is Avery. Now she thinks she made a gigantic mistake.

Dante tells Sam about Kristina’s arrest, and Sam asks if Anna and her mom know. He says, her mom is all over it. Cates is saying Kristina went after Ava, who’s a witness in a RICO case against Sonny, and Sam says, unreal. He says, her mom is trying to get Kristina arraigned. He just got back from seeing Laura. She asks if the mayor is in on this too, but he says, something is going on with Lulu.

Molly says she showed Ava the autopsy photos. She wanted Ava to know what she’d done and live with the memory of the images. The autopsy photos upset and horrified Ava, but it didn’t make her feel any better and Ava didn’t confess. So what did she accomplish? She jeopardized her own career. She wanted to take action, and what she did, she did out of anger. She can see why Kristina would do the same thing. He asks if she thinks Kristina threatened to kill Ava. She says, Kristina wouldn’t mean it and wouldn’t physically attack her. He says, they have photos, and she says, a picture can tell a thousand lies. It’s how it’s interpreted. Maybe Ava was grabbing Kristina. Maybe she was fending Kristina off. He asks if she thinks that scenario is possible, and she says she doesn’t want to, but maybe Kristina’s actions are responsible for the death of their baby.

Alexis says, Sonny will say and do nothing, no matter how much Cates goads him. If he can’t do that, he has to leave. Sonny asks how she is. She hasn’t had a case in a while, and this is their daughter. He wants to know if she’s up for it. She asks if he’s doubting her. If she had any qualms, Diane would be here. When she sees Cates’s smug mug, she’ll be filled with righteous indignation and a strength she forgot she had. He says, that’s what he likes to hear. His presence here will present a problem for Cates, not him. Cates hates the fact he’s breathing, so he’s going to watch as she pokes holes in his bogus arrest. It’s going to drive him crazy.

The FBI lawyer shows up and tells John that he doesn’t feel comfortable about the case. It’s not clear cut. John tells him to make it clear. It’s part of an ongoing investigation involving Sonny. He needs Kristina to stay put until the trial. The lawyer says, got it, and they go into the courtroom. The bailiff says, all rise… Judge Sullivan presiding. Judge Judy The judge takes her seat and tells them, let’s get going. It’s late.

Dante says, the doctor wanted to see Laura because Lulu had a setback, and Sam says she’s sorry. Does Rocco know? Dante says he wanted to know more first. Lulu has been a prisoner in that bed so long, he hopes miracles happen, but he feels like the chances are slim. Sam’s phone rings, and she says, it’s Diane. She listens for a moment, then thanks Diane for calling. She tells Dante that the emergency hearing was granted. It’s starting now. He tells her to go and keep him posted. She says, let her know what happens with Lulu and if he needs anything, and he says, he needs to figure out what to try and say to Rocco. (I thought Laura told him to hold that thought.)

Ava tells Nina that she and Sonny had a falling out and he gave her the boot. The next thing she knows, they’re lining up character witnesses for family court. She got involved with Cates, but now she sees how obsessed he is with taking Sonny down. Nina asks if it won’t help Ava’s case, but Ava says she’s still facing criminal charges for Kristina’s fall. She can’t take care of Avery from behind bars. Nina thinks it’s not going to come to that, and asks, what happened? Ava says she swears it was an accident. She and Nina were friends before she blew it, and Nina knows whatever else she is, however selfish or bad she is, she’d never hurt a child.

TJ says, Molly’s not only one who saw Ava. He went to the gallery. She asks, why? and he says, for the same reason. He needs answers, and the two of them have been so far apart. She says she feels terrible, but he says, she’s dealing with the same loss, and he understands. What Ava suggested lines up with what Molly told him. He doesn’t think Kristina is blameless. She says, Kristina made the choice to go see Ava. If she hadn’t done that one thing, their child would be alive. (These two are idiots on a good day. If Kristina had gotten hit by a bus that went through a red light, I’ll bet Molly would say, she shouldn’t have been crossing the street.)

Alexis tells judge Sullivan that there’s no witness statement, no report, no video. Besides that, her client was just released from the hospital where she had an emergency C-section. It’s not only an unjust arrest, it’s jeopardizing her health and bordering on malicious prosecution. She asks that her client be released immediately. The judge asks where the evidence is to back up the charges, and the lawyer looks at John, who’s got nothing. He gets up and says, they have a report from a reliable citizen, but the FBI has a heavy workload and has yet to file a formal transcript. In light of this, he asks for a continuance. Judge Sullivan says, denied. This has been a colossal waste of everyone’s time. The defendant is released on her own recognizance, effective immediately. John jumps up and says, no. She’s making a mistake (I wait for her to say, you again?)

TJ says he loves Molly and he’s sorry, and she says she loves him too. She was too scared to handle her own grief and too heartbroken to handle his. He’s her best friend and partner and she let him down in every possible way. He says he accepts her apology and loves her so much, and they hug. She says, there’s so much to take care of, and he says, they’ll figure it out. They’ll go someplace quiet. Molly’s phone dings, and she says, it’s a friend from the courthouse. Kristina’s been granted emergency bail. TJ wonders why Alexis didn’t call, and Molly says, since she works in the DA’s office, they thought it was better if she kept her distance. He tells her, go see about her sister and don’t worry about anything else. They’ll figure it out together tomorrow. She leaves.

Laura tells Doc that when the doctor called and said it was about her daughter, she had a surge of hope that the doctor would say Lulu was awake and asking for her. It has happened so many times, a sort of irrational spark of joy, only to be followed up by a crash when she hears them say, there’s no change. This is worse than no change. She can tell by what the doctor isn’t saying. Lulu is getting worse.

Dante leaves a voicemail for Laura, saying, he’s checking in. He hears Rocco and says he didn’t know Rocco was downstairs. Rocco asks if there’s any truth to the rumor they’re getting pizza, and Dante says he ordered pizza, but he’s got to talk to Rocco about his mom.

Ava tells Nina that Kristina came to her suite. She was furious about the subpoena. Sonny attacked Dex and she saw the whole thing. Nina says, it must have been traumatic. She’s fond of Kristina and knows Sonny is protective of her. Ava says, Kristina was beyond. Kristina barged in, screaming at her. At some point she put her hand on Kristina, and Kristina jerked away. She stumbled and tripped on some luggage, then crashed through the window. It happened so fast. She had nothing to do with it. It was an accident. Nina says, Kristina lost the baby and nearly died, and Ava says, it was tragic and horrible. Nina says, the luggage was just right there? Was Ava going somewhere? Ava says, Carly threw John out and she let him keep his bags in her room, since he was helping her with the custody fight. After Kristina fell, she supposes she was in shock. She didn’t know how to explain the bags of an FBI agent, so she did something stupid. She hid them. She put them in a closet, and of course (🍷) the cops found them. Nina says, Ava altered a crime scene and lied about what made Kristina fall. Of course (🍷) they’ll wonder why Ava would lie if it was an accident. Ava says, but it was. She didn’t push Kristina. Nina has to believe her.

John says, as soon as the defendant leaves the courtroom, her father will have her on a plane to a country with no extradition treaty. Judge Sullivan says, the only reason John hasn’t been cited for contempt is because of his FBI badge. He has 48 hours to get his case together, including documents that show Ava is listed as a witness in a RICO case, or he’ll be the one in a cell. (Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! John’s face.) The bailiff says, all rise, and the judge leaves. John asks the lawyer, what the hell was that? and he says, it was a lousy case, and they got treated accordingly. John better get it together and his evidence had better be bulletproof or he’ll have John’s badge, and John will be sitting in a cell. John glares Sonny on his way out, and Sonny asks Alexis, how’d I do? Alexis smiles and Sonny winks at Kristina. (Our Sonny is back.)

Ava says she sees Nina isn’t convinced, and Nina says she believes a lot of it. It was a confusing situation and probably happened fast. Ava says, Kristina fell, but everybody assumes she pushed her, and Nina says, life isn’t fun when your credibility is shot. She knows about that. When you meddle with people in a life changing way, nobody gives you the benefit of the doubt, especially when you need it most. She hopes Ava gets out of it. She’s a good mom. Let her know about the magazine space, and if she sees Scotty, she’ll tell him to call Ava. She walks out, and while she’s looking in her bag in the hallway, Ava says she’s sorry. Nina says, her too, and leaves with tears in her eyes.

Laura says she wishes she had an update for Dante. Thank God that Doc is here. He says, waiting is excruciating, but he appreciates that Lulu’s doctor is so thorough. Laura says, hearing no change would be good news today. She can’t bear thought of Lulu living out her life like this, so she has hope. He says, it’s okay to be hopeful, and she says she needs to be strong for Lulu. She cries and he holds her. He says, hang onto that and hang onto him.

Sam sees Molly at the courthouse, and says, mom was on fire and Sonny kept his composure, and Molly says she’s not surprised about mom. Sam says, what Molly missed was Cates’s meltdown, and Molly says she’s had the misfortune of dealing with him. He waves his badge around like it’s proof he walks on water. What evidence did he have? Sam says, nothing, and the judge told him he has 48 hours to get it or he’ll be brought up on charges. Finally, justice in action. Kristina gets to go home and heal. Molly says, she still has the charges hanging over her head, but Sam says she believes they’ll be dropped. Cates has nothing even resembling evidence. It’s just a way to get at Sonny.

Dante says he’s sorry Rocco’s grandma can’t be here for their video game rematch, and Rocco says he thought that’s why they were having pizza. Dante says he went to see Rocco’s mom, and Rocco says he likes visiting. It’s quiet and peaceful and mom knows he’s there. He tells her stupid stuff that happened in school and reads her horoscope from The Invader. He remembers she used to read that. Dante says he wants to talk to Rocco’s grandma. The doctors ran some tests and got the results, but he doesn’t know more than that until he speaks to Laura. He asks if Rocco is okay, and Rocco nods. He says he has pictures of mom, so he’ll never forget what she looks like. There’s footage and recordings, but her voice never sounds right, like her. He’s afraid he’s going to forget what her real voice sounds like.

John goes to the gallery and tells Ava that Alexis was granted an emergency bail hearing. The judge practically walked Kristina and Sonny out of the courtroom. Ava says, Kristina was arrested? and John says, after they went over her story – how Kristina was the aggressor, came to her suite uninvited, forced her way in, and threatened Ava – the next logical step was to file charges. Ava asks if he’s talked to Scotty, and he asks, why? She says she hasn’t heard a peep from him all day, and something tells her that she’s going to need her lawyer. He says, Scotty is obviously busy, but she doesn’t need him. He’s the only hope she has left. (I think the only hope she has left is coming clean.)

Kristina thanks Alexis, and Alexis says she gives credit to Kristina’s father. He behaved no matter how much Cates goaded him. Sonny says he’d do anything for his daughter, even listening to the rants of an FBI agent. Kristina says she didn’t think she’d be back in this house again, and Alexis says, they both love and adore her. Sonny says, they’ll always protect her.

On the phone, Nina says that someone owes her a favor and she’s ready to collect.

Rocco says he believes if his mom wakes up and says one word, it will all come back, and Dante says, that’s a good way to look at it. Rocco says, as long as she’s alive, it can change. They can’t give up hope that she could wake up tomorrow or next week. She’s hanging in so they need to. When the day comes and she opens her eyes, he hopes he’s sitting there and he’s the first thing she sees. He wishes it could be soon. He misses her. Dante says he misses her too.

Sam says she thinks it’s absurd. Kristina just lost the baby and could have died. She should be home grieving and taking care of herself, instead of winding up in a courtroom… She’s so sorry. Why wasn’t Molly here? Molly says, her office was concerned about a conflict of interest, and Sam asks if she wouldn’t have heard. Molly says she was caught up in something with TJ. They have to plan the baby’s funeral. Sam hugs her and says she’s sorry.

John says, they have to rehearse Ava’s story for the record on file, but she says she’s given her statement. He says, give it again, but this time, she’s going to say what he tells her to say and do it how he wants it. She says, it’s been a long day. She’s going to close up and head back to her hotel. They can start tomorrow. He says, the judge gave him 48 hours. He’s not losing his badge or Sonny’s case over this. Let’s get started. They’re going to work on her statement until it’s perfect.

The doctor apologizes for the wait and tells Laura that they did a test on Lulu’s liver, and it’s been compromised. If they continue on this trajectory, her liver will fail. Laura asks if the doctor is telling her that her daughter is going to die.

Tomorrow, Alexis says, TJ never needs to know what Kristina intended to do; John tells Ava that the only thing Sonny responds to is leverage; and Anna tells someone that they have to choose.

🐪 A Camel Walks Into Dubai…

In one of the creepiest moments in Housewives history, Sara revealed that her housekeeper had been plotting to kidnap her young son. She was also sharing his picture with various creepers, who responded with how cute he was, which is pretty f***ed up. To add insult to injury, when Sara told her to start packing, she packed some of Sara’s things as well. Thankfully, she’s now in jail. A thousand showers can’t wipe that away.

Sergio wanted to have a baby with Stanbury, and it sounded like it might be a deal breaker. If I were her, I’d have that baby lickity-split, since a puppy at her heels he might be, but he’s also a real find who adores her and who’s actually thoughtful. For her birthday, he took her on a private yacht cruise and had a cake made that looked like their new house. I love stuff like that. I mean the cake, but the yacht is good too. They finally have the leeway to use a surrogate, and money is no object as far as a nanny or anything else goes, so why not? She said it would be life changing, but not so much when you have a life like theirs. It’s not like he’ll have to take a second job.

Stanbury and Lesa had lunch, and Lesa did one of those things I hate that many of the Housewives do – play the family card. You know, what you said effects my family. Well, if people don’t get that you’re on a reality show and nonsense is going to be said about you, maybe you need a new address book. It just seems way overused. Fancy Pants Heather made the same claim just last week on RHOC. It’s just doubtful anyone cares about secondhand hearsay from a co-star.

General Hospital

Josslyn marvels at how early Gio gets to the pool, and says, he knows she’s very competitive. Now she has to figure out how to be a better, more conscientious employee than him. She tells him not to save someone; leave the lifeguarding to her. Sonny brings Avery in, and Avery tells Josslyn that she’s taking swim lessons. Josslyn introduces her to Gio, and Sonny says, it was about time he and Gio saw each other again.

Chase and Brook go to see Alexis, who says she’s sorry she didn’t make the wedding. If she’d known it would be the last time she’d see Gregory, she would have. She’s going to miss him. She shows them the medal Gregory gave her, and says, it was for good luck. She’s sure he’s going to send it when he can. Brook says, in between charming the angels, and Alexis asks the reason they’re here. Chase asks how it went with his brother, and she says, not well.

James and Cody come into the stables, saying, it was so cool, and Tracy asks, what’s cool? James says he jumped, but Cody says, technically, Comet did the jumping. Tracy wonders if Cody set jumps up for James, but James says, it was a huge tree, and Cody says, really, Comet took a longer than average step, but it counts as a jump. Tracy says she hasn’t worked up to jumping, but James has inspired her. She asks Cody to get her horse ready, and he says, it’s done. He’s going to take James back to the house. James complains that there are only girls there, and Cody says, his family is the best.

Maxie wonders why Spinelli is wearing a towel around his shoulders, and he says, Bailey required an unscheduled bath. He’s leaving it at that. Maxie says, they’re going to the pool when James gets back, and there’s a knock at the door. She opens it to Mac, who asks if anyone has seen his wife. There’s lots of hugging.

Stella, TJ, and Felicia discuss a patient who can’t afford treatment and has to wait five months for their benefits to kick in. They decide on the route they’re going to take and fist bump. Maxie calls Felicia, but Felicia says she can call Maxie later.

Alexis tells Chase and Brook that Finn was worse than she’d ever seen him. He was defiant, angry, and denied there was a problem, despite the evidence to the contrary. She thought she could navigate this road, since she’d done it before, but she had no magic words for them. Finn wasn’t going to listen until he was ready. Chase says, he’s not there yet, and Alexis says she’d try again if she thought it would help. Brook says, their immediate concern is Violet, and Alexis asks if they’ve noticed anything, like Violet being neglected. Chase says he doesn’t think so, but Brook says she’s concerned about Violet being left in a situation that’s potentially damaging. They want to protect her in every way. Chase says, they thought Alexis might have some advice for them.

Sonny says, it was a big deal for Gio to switch to PCU, and Gio says he likes it already. Sonny asks if he doesn’t regret leaving the city, and Gio says he’ll always be grateful that Sonny made it possible for him to go there. Sonny says, Gio has a gift that he wants him to pursue, but he’s concerned that Gio accepted going to PCU because Gio doesn’t want him to keep paying tuition. Gio says, it’s more complicated than that. PCU has an excellent music department and gave him a scholarship. He’ll always be thankful to Sonny… Sonny says, but he wants to pay his own way. He gets that. He likes making his own money and being independent. Gio says he’s not that independent. He’s living at the Quartermaines’. Sonny says, he should get hazard pay.

Natalia walks into the pool area on the phone and leaves a message for Brook. She wants to discuss the last recording session that Brook wasn’t able to attend… for good reason. She’s sorry about Brook’s father-in-law and hopes they got the flowers and card. She’s at the pool and wondering if Brook would like to join her. She sees Sonny, who says he was hoping to run into her. Would she like to join him? She says she’d love to, and he says his daughter is taking swim lessons. Natalia sees Avery and says, she’s adorable. She’s a water baby. Sonny says he loves swimming in Puerto Rico, and she says, it has the most beautiful beaches, but she might be bias. She had been biased about Kristina too, but she underestimated his daughter.

Maxie says, of all the days for her mom to ignore her calls, but Mac says she’s busy. Maxie says she left a message that there had been an exciting development, and Mac says, she thinks a sale at Wyndham’s is an exciting development. Spinelli brings nuBailey in, and Mac says, she got so big. He wonders if she’s getting her driver’s license next, and takes her from Spinelli. Spinelli tells him, gracious greetings and a heartfelt welcome home, and Mac asks if he’s a permanent fixture or temporary. Georgie says, he lives here now, and Spinelli makes an excuse to take Bailey and get out of the room. There’s a knock at the door, and Georgie opens it to Cody and James, who runs to Mac. Mac says he thinks James has grown a foot, and Cody says, pretty close. Mac says, it’s good to see Cody, and Cody says, him too.

Natalia says, it’s not that she didn’t think Kristina was lovely and intelligent, but the other day, they were all at a recording session and Blaze was terrible. In came Kristina, and a light switch flipped. She realized how much they loved each other. Sonny asked if Kristina made Blaze’s performance better, and Natalia says, Kristina’s presence made all the difference in Blaze’s emotional connection to the song. She asked if he believed in muses, and he said he thought so. He’d dabbled in the industry and was a silent partner in the 90s for a big music label. She says, everything was fun in the 90s, and he says, it was a good time. She says she thinks good times are ahead, and he says he hopes so.

Alexis says, family court isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s not what they’d expect. The best interest of the child should be the priority, but the way the state defines it and the way a loving relative does is hardly ever the same. Reporting a parent to CPS doesn’t guarantee protection, and the child can end up in a group home or with strangers. Chase says, that’s the last thing they want, and Alexis says, he’s in a tough predicament, being between his loyalty to Finn and protecting Violet. Her advice to them is to call a licensed clinical social worker, and Chase says, then that’s what they’ll do. Alexis wishes she was more help, but Chase says, just talking helped, and thanks her for trying with Finn. Alexis says, he’s a good man. He’s just lost. Chase says he knows that at some point, they’ll help him find his way back. She tells them, good luck, and they leave.

In the hallway, Brook sees she missed Natalia’s call, and tells Chase that she’s demanding. Chase says he’s still on leave and has extra time. He suggests she deal with it now. He’s going to GH. He knows exactly who to talk to.

Mac says he heard Cody was the new Face of Deception, but he thinks Sasha is better for business. Maxie says, they’re the former Faces, and Mac says, sorry. Cody says, don’t be. It’s not up his alley. Mac asks what he’s doing now, and Cody says he’s managing the stables at the Quartermaines. Maxie says, he’s been spending a lot of time with James, teaching him about horses, and James says, they jumped over a tree. Maxie says, what? and Cody says, James is exaggerating. It was more like a big stick, but it was still an awesome feat. He asks what Mac was up to, and Mac says he was helping a friend. Maxie asks if that’s all they’re getting, and Mac says, unfortunately, yes, and he hates keeping secrets. Cody says, him too, and Mac says, that’s something else they have in common. Cody says he’ll leave them to their family reunion. He’ll see James soon. Mac says he’d like to tag along sometime if it’s okay with Cody, and Cody says he’d like that. Mac says, he’ll set it up, and Cody watches the family interaction for a moment, then leaves.

Sonny asks how Natalia is feeling about Blaze and Kristina’s relationship, and she says, worried. Not because she thinks it’s wrong, but the way she was brought up in Puerto Rico, they’re not accepting. Sonny says, love is love was not a motto she grew up with? and she says, no, but she’s evolving. She has a hard time seeing that kind of love ending in real happiness. He says, Kristina and Blaze have to figure it out, and she says, that means she’d have to relinquish control. It’s not her favorite. Her phone dings, and she says she has to approve some photo shoot proofs. She hands him a thumb drive of the recording session and asks him to give it to Brook. He says, on one condition, that he’s invited to the release party. She says she’ll see what she can do, and leaves.

Gio asks if Josslyn talked to Michael about the apartment yet, and she says she’s going after work to see him in person. She knows he’ll say yes, but she doesn’t want him to think she’s taking advantage. Gio says, that’s like him and Uncle Sonny. Sonny has paid for his musical education and would probably pay for him to go to Europe and visit all the concert halls, but that would be taking advantage. Josslyn asks if he’s worried about taking advantage of Sonny, and Gio says, when someone is as powerful and important as Sonny, people are always asking for things, and he never wants to take it for granted. Josslyn says, it’s nice to hear how Gio appreciates Sonny. She’s sure it means a lot to him.

Maxie tells Mac that Cody has been great for James. He treats James like a little brother, and all the kids at the Quartermaines are obsessed with him. She doesn’t know how he has the patience. Mac says, they’re not his. No matter how bad it gets, they go back to their parents. (Been there, done that as a mother’s helper. I had all the patience in the world because I was getting paid and going home at the end of the day.) Maxie says, Cody is gifted, and Mac says, so is she. She says she’s not sure her kids agree. Cody is like a real-life superhero around here. Like someone else she knows.

Diane goes to Alexis’s office, and says she comes bearing gifts. What she hopes is a source of clarity. She holds out an envelope and says, it’s from the Court of Appeals. It came in care of her office. Alexis says, she didn’t open it? and Diane says, tampering with the mail is a federal offense. She doesn’t know what’s in there, but Alexis’s future awaits.

TJ says he’s impressed with what Felicia has done in record time. The few things she didn’t get are probably in the patient’s records, but they’ll have to get the patient’s consent. She says she already got it and it’s on file, and he says, she thought of everything. Her phone rings, and he says, Maxie again? It’s fine if she wants to pick it up. She says she will, when she’s officially off duty.

Tracy calls Finn and leaves a message. She says, he keeps not calling her back. She’s worried about him. Please call her. She goes into the other room, and startles Cody. She asks if he’s okay, and he says he’ll take care of her gear. She says, that’s not what she asked.

Maxie asks, what kind of mother doesn’t answer her daughter’s calls or texts? and Mac says, the working kind. He’s so proud of Felicia. Maxie says, she goes the extra mile for her patients and it’s spilling into other areas. She advocates for everyone, including Maxie, whether she wants it or not. She asks if Mac was in on Felicia’s plan to get Spinelli to move in, but he says he had no part of it. Maxie says, her heart was in the right place, and she’s glad it happened, but don’t tell Felicia she said that. They’re taking things slowly. Mac says, that’s music to his ears, and Maxie says she missed him so much. He says, it’s so good to be home.

Brook sees Sonny at the pool, and he motions her over. He tells her that Avery has her swim class, and she asks if he’s seen his wedding date. He says, Natalia just left, and Brook says, Natalia summoned her, then took off? He says, Natalia left something with him for her, and gives her the drive. He asks if she’s okay, and she says, it’s Chase’s niece Violet. He asks if she’s hurt or sick, and she says, Violet is fine for now, but if she tells him something, will he keep it between them? He says, of course (🍷), and she says, ever since Gregory died, Finn has been drinking… a lot. Sonny asks if he isn’t recovering, and she says, that’s why they haven’t faced this before. Finn furiously maintains it’s none of their business. Sonny says, that’s where he would be wrong.

Chase sees Stella in the café and tells her that TJ said she’d be here. She says, he ratted her out, and Chase promises to be brief. She’s a social worker. She says, and he’s a police officer, and he says, normally, he’d hand this off to someone else, but it’s personal, and he doesn’t feel comfortable with that. She asks if it has something to do with his father. She was sorry to hear about Gregory’s death. He says, no, but yes, and she says, that clears things up. He says, not directly with his death, but it may be a catalyst. There’s a child is with a parent in the throes of SUD. She says, Substance Use Disorder. Long term or recent? and he says, they’ve been clean for years, but the recent environment isn’t safe for anyone, let alone a little girl.

Alexis says, a friend just died and her two daughters are courting disaster, and Diane tells her, don’t buy a lottery ticket. Alexis says, or open that envelope, but Diane says, the outcome won’t change, no matter what. Isn’t Alexis tired of being in limbo? She knows she is. Alexis says she’s sorry to inconvenience Diane, and Diane says, if Alexis doesn’t open it, she will. Alexis says, do it… No, wait. She picks up Gregory’s medal, and says, go ahead. Diane opens the envelope.

Cody tells Tracy, where he comes from is a story with a winding road. He thought his dad was Mr. Bell, but he wasn’t. Then he assumed his dad was the rich guy Mr. Bell worked for, but he wasn’t. He moved to Port Charles and had a DNA test and finally knows who his father is. Tracy asks if it’s good news or bad news, but he says, his father doesn’t know he has a son. She asks if he’s a bad guy, but Cody says, the opposite. He likes him a lot. She says she’s confused, and he says, join the club. He’s had multiple chances to tell him, but he lied instead. He’s not sure he can walk it back. She says, it’s his story. He can walk it in any direction he wants. He asks, what if his father is furious? but she says, what if he’s thrilled he has a son?

Mac puts Bailey down for her nap, and Maxie says she thought he’d be more tan since he was in South America. Spinelli says, it’s winter there now, and James asks if it’s winter in Florida too. Spinelli asks Maxie if they teach geography at James’s school, and she says, he takes after her. (Same.) Felicia comes in and says, she’s here. What’s the exciting new development?

Sonny tells Brook that this has to be stopped. Kids are innocent, and they think the suffering and pain are going to last forever. Even if they get through it, it changes them. But with people like Brook in their corner, this child will never go through what he did. She won’t let it happen.

Chase says he’d prefer not to give specifics, and Stella suggests she ask questions and he can tell her what he’s comfortable with. She asks if the child is being neglected, but he says, no. She says, threatened or abused? and he says he doesn’t think so. Don’t tell him he has to wait until it happens. She says, there are agencies where he can report his concerns, but as a cop, he knows the drill. It’s not easy. A judge isn’t likely to break up a family over a couple of benders. Document everything and get statements from people who have seen the parent under the influence and acting irresponsibly. He asks if he’s supposed to build a case against his brother, but she says she’s advising him to build a case for his niece.

Alexis says, just tell her, and Diane says, well… There’s some good news and some bad news. Which does she want first? Alexis says, the bad news… no, the good, and Diane says, the court vacated her disbarment as improperly applied. Alexis says, she won? She can practice law again? Diane says, that leads to the bad news. Her legal license has been suspended for two years. Alexis says she’s waited this long. She can put up with this hellhole for a couple of years. Diane says, she doesn’t have to. Her two-year suspension started four years ago. She knows, she’s awful. Alexis says, it’s over, and Diane says, Alexis needs 48 hours of legal education and will have to apply to the bar. Alexis says she couldn’t have done it without Diane, and Diane says she knows. They dance around, saying, it’s over, and hug

Cody wonders if Tracy thinks he’s crazy, stupid, or both, and she asks if he wants to know what she thinks. He says, at this point, he’ll take Comet’s advice, and she says, he’s lucky. He has a clean slate and the opportunity for a fresh start. He says he lied and he’s still lying, but she says, one admission can put an end to it. The rest of their lives can begin any time, and he gets to decide when that is. She leaves.

Felicia says she fulfilled her duties at the hospital, despite the steady stream of interruptions. She’s confused as to what was so important. The kids are fine. The house isn’t on fire. James starts to say something, but Maxie stops him and says, it’s not on fire, but the house is hotter than it’s been in a while. Felicia asks if the A/C isn’t working, and coming in behind her, Mac says, the A/C is working. He’s sorry he was away so long. It won’t happen again. Maxie asks if Felicia understands why she was blowing up her phone. Felicia says, you’re here, and hugs Mac. James suggests they get ice cream to celebrate, and despite Maxie’s objection, Mac says, James can have all the toppings. Felicia says, welcome home, and they kiss. Mac says, it’s good to be here.

Tomorrow, Violet tells Finn that she doesn’t want to be alone; Spinelli tells Sam that they found their prize; and Carly tells Jason, what he’s doing affects you.

🔪 Top Of the Heap…

Since there was no more Quickfire Challenge, the chefs went right to Elimination, where they had to make the best four-course meal of their lives. There was food porn galore, including a new take on Hummingbird cake. Emeril Lagasse was the secret guest judge, which thrilled the contestants to no end. I went to see his show once at the Food Network in NYC, but I was in mountain goat territory, so no tasting for me. We did get a righteous bag of potato chips though. Read on to see who came out on top.

What’s annoying about RHONJ is that I’ve lived at the Jersey Shore for quite a while and have never met anyone like these people. That goes for the cast of The Jersey Shore as well. And I’ve never once heard anyone use the term bitch boy.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Yep. Another day of hearings, another preemption. And if you don’t know, now you know.

GH

The other soaps.

🌴 Taking the rest of the day off, or at least switching job gears. But here are a couple of nuggets.

🍳 Rate the Chefs…

Several of them were pretty bad, but IMO Leon was the worst. Repeat dishes, nasty remarks, attitude on attitude, not finishing the charter when he was let go. The best thing about him was, when he walked off, Ben replaced him. Not that Ben isn’t moody, but he’s a whole lot of fun.

🧂 Shah Shame…

Her attorney says, she’s a good woman who crossed the line. Please. Seems to me she crossed a lot of lines. And you’d think if she was smart, she might have been a little more low-key on the show, but I guess thieves never think they’ll be caught.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Britt plays pool at The Floating Rib. Jason says, nice shot, and she can’t believe he just paid her a compliment.

Alexis is working on her drinking, when Sam comes by. Sam knocks incessantly, and Alexis pulls herself together, and hides her glass and bottle. She asks to what she owes this pleasant surprise, and Sam says she told Alexis that she’d be checking up on her. Alexis says, a heads up would have been nice, and Sam asks, why? So she could have time to stash her bottles, or has she sobered up enough to realize she needs help?

Julian comes out of the elevator at the hospital, and sees Ava. He asks if she’s heard anything about Ryan’s condition, and she says, if there’s any justice in the world, he’s dead already. But life isn’t always fair. Julian says, is he alive? Is he awake? Is he talking? Is he giving Julian up to Sonny? What?

Sonny tends the fireplace in the living room. Taggert knocks at the door, and Sonny lets him in. Sonny says no one’s there, and Taggert asks if he can borrow a cup of sugar.

At The Rib, Peter asks Lulu how things went with her source, but she says he was more interested in hitting on her than spilling secrets about Cyrus. She says she and Jackie roughed out the first piece. It definitely looks like Cyrus is using GH to launder drug money, even without her ex-source to back it up. He takes a look, and says there’s no way he can publish this.

Finn answers the phone, thinking it’s Robert, but it’s Anna. She tells him that he’s in danger. If he’s at the house, she needs him to get out. Alex walks in with Maxie, and Anna asks if Finn can hear her. She asks him to talk to her. Alex (pretending to be Anna) asks Finn if they’re up for company. Maxie caught up with her, and offered to go over some wedding details.

Maxie says if now is a bad time, feel free to kick her out. Anna asks if Finn is still there. What’s going on? Finn says, guess what, Peter? I found her. Maxie just walked in the door with your mother. Anna says, understood. Keep them there as long as he can; they’re on their way. She loves him. She tells Robert, Alex brought Maxie back to the house.

Peter tells Lulu, there’s no way Jackie said that story was ready. They have no proof to back up their allegations. Lulu says she didn’t have time to show it to Jackie. Jackie had to fly out to cover a breaking story, but they did discuss the possible corruption at GH. He says she doesn’t quote a single source. She had no one to go one record, no evidence, and no documentation. Is she trying to get them sued? She says she’s sorry. She lost her game when Dante came back. He asks if she needs to take personal time, but she says, no. Cyrus is a threat to Port Charles, and has to be stopped. He says he loves that she’s passionate about this. It’s what makes her a good journalist, but what makes her a great journalist is when she backs it up with proof, and actual facts that will hold up in court. She asks what they do. So they do nothing while Cyrus burns down Port Charles? He asks if he said that.

Sonny tells Taggert, Carly and Josslyn are out for the night, and the guard will let him know if anyone shows up. So they have a couple hours to kill. He pours two drinks. Taggert says he never thought he’d be living next door to Sonny, or that Sonny would be protecting him. Sonny says he’s protecting Taggert’s daughter, and Taggert says he appreciates that. He says he’s sorry about Sonny’s father, and Sonny thanks him. Taggert asks how Sonny acquired the property, and Sonny says he bought it so Jax wouldn’t move in. Taggert says, that makes sense, given their history, and Sonny says, it’s been standing empty since the last owner died. He sits, and Taggert asks if he knew them. Sonny says it was his ex-fiancé Connie. She was murdered. Taggert says he’s sorry, and asks if they got her killer. Sonny says, it’s a bit more complicated than that.

Ava tells Julian, Ryan is out of surgery, but still unconscious. He lost a lot of blood getting that knife in the back. Julian says, so if he dies, it’s not totally unexpected. She says she knows what he’s thinking; stop it. There’s a guard outside Ryan’s room, and no one gets in or out without being stopped. They go into an office, and she says she does have the possibility of good news though. She heard the nurses talking. Ryan’s brain was deprived of oxygen because of the blood loss. They don’t know the extent of the damage yet. Julian says, Ryan could be a vegetable, and Ava says, it’s possible. Julian asks where the chapel is; he wants to start praying. Ava suggests he pray they get their hands on the letter. He says, Ryan didn’t have it on him? and she says she saw the warden give the cops Ryan’s belongings, and there was no letter. He says, they more than got the job done, and she says, they? What has he done?

Jason says he’s surprised Britt has time to play pool. Monica worked long hours when she was Chief of Staff. Britt says she’s been at GH since dawn, and will be back in the trenches until 8. She’s taking a break from all the sniping and dirty looks. She’s sure he’s heard she’s not the most popular person there. He says he’s heard. She says, that’s why she plays pool. It’s fine if you play well with others, but it’s fine if you play alone. She prefers to go solo. He says he thinks she hasn’t found the right person to play pool with.

Sam says Molly and Kristina have noticed Alexis is suddenly unavailable. She isn’t picking up the phone or answering her texts. Sam hasn’t told them she’s relapsed. She was hoping to get Alexis to a meeting or detox. Alexis says, detox? Isn’t that a little premature? She’s not living in an alley yet. Sam says, not yet. Does Alexis realize Sam took the kids to the Quartermaines’ and Olivia was there? Alexis says she wanted to join them, but Sam was late. Sam says, Alexis was early. Olivia didn’t want to say anything, but she found a bottle of booze in Alexis’s purse. Alexis says, Olivia was rummaging around in her purse? What business is it of hers? Sam says, it’s Olivia’s business because Alexis is in her house with Leo and a bottle of booze hidden in her purse. Alexis asks if Olivia told Ned, and Sam says, if Alexis is really worried about Ned’s reaction, they really have a problem. Alexis says the only problem she has right now is Sam. When did she become such a nag? Sam takes the bottle and glass out of the cupboard, and asks if Alexis wants to explain this.

Alexis says Sam isn’t allowed to rummage in her cupboard, and Sam asks, why hide it? Alexis says because she doesn’t want another lecture. Sam says, please tell her what’s going on. The last time Alexis fell off the wagon, Julian took her to a meeting and it was one drink, because she loved herself and her family. Does she not care anymore? Alexis says she just wants to feel good. Can’t Sam just let her feel good? Sam says, sorry. Neil wouldn’t want this. Alexi says, who knows what Neil wanted? Sam says she knows Alexis thinks she didn’t know him, and Alexis says she didn’t. if her this is her only way to cope, can’t Sam just sit back and let her do that, and accept it? Sam says, so when her children are there sleeping, Alexis can nearly burn the house down again? She can’t accept that. Alexis says Sam is exaggerating; blowing one incident out of proportion. Sam says, it’s no exaggeration that Alexis is a risk to her children when she’s drinking. Alexis says, that’s a laugh. Sam sleeping with a hitman doesn’t make her look like mother of year.

Jason is an excellent shot, and Britt tells him, the object of the game is for them to take turns. She supposes she shouldn’t be surprised he’s a pool shark. What’s his secret? He takes another shot, and she says remind her not to get in his crosshairs. Or is she already, working with big bad Cyrus? Jason says, is she? and she says she’s not taking sides between Cyrus and Sonny. The only side she’s on is her own. Jason says, Cyrus did hire her. Mind telling him how that happened? Britt takes her shot, and she’s as good as Jason is.

Ava asks Julian, who are they, and what did he do? He says he needed someone who could gain access to Pentenville, and take care of their Ryan problem. She says, so it’s their problem now, and he says, so he made a bargain. She wonders why she has the feeling Julian got the worst of it, and he says, Ryan was going to tell Sonny that he knew about Michael’s son, and had Nelle’s letter as proof. He was desperate. Ava wonders when was the last time he wasn’t. He’s dug such a hole for himself, and every time she looks, it’s deeper. Every action he’s taken has made it worse. Now he’s made a bargain. What exactly did he offer to have Ryan killed, and what happens when they want to collect?

Lulu asks if Peter has a plan B for taking down Cyrus, and he says, the human interest angle. He hears there’s a record number of OD cases at the hospital. Who were they? They had jobs and families; who are they leaving behind? How is the GH staff coping; the police, the paramedics? They just did a telethon for frontline workers. Is the drug epidemic causing them to focus on that, rather than other concerns? Lulu says, less accusations, more comment on the human toll, and he tells her to get as many people on the record as possible. His phone dings, and he says he has another meeting. He thinks Lulu’s story will be inspiring. He leaves, and Lulu says, maybe, but will it put Cyrus back in prison?

Maxie thanks Finn for asking Peter to be a groomsman. He’s very touched. Alex says, they’ll be one big happy family, and Finn says he just remembered that he has to get groomsmen’s gifts. He could use some advice. Maxie says, luckily, he has an expert there, and Finn asks if Alex/Anna minds putting the kettle on, while Maxie fills him in on the appropriate gifts. Alex says, of course (🍷), and goes to the kitchen. Maxie says she’s thinking cufflinks, and he says she needs to go right now.

Robert wonders how many possible hostages there are, and asks Anna, what about Violet? She says Violet is at a sleepover, and Robert says he wants to call in a SWAT team, but Anna says, no. Alex won’t hesitate to kill Finn. She thinks Anna is dead, and doesn’t realize Finn is on to her. Robert asks how she wants to do this, and she says they should go in together. She thinks that’s the best chance they have.

Finn starts to push Maxie toward the door, and she asks what he’s doing. He tells her, just do what he says. Leave. She says he’s scaring her, and he says, that’s not Anna; it’s her sister. Alex walks in, gun drawn, and says, he’s much smarter than she gave him credit for. Really? I highly doubt an infectious disease specialist is stupid, and they’re probably good at solving puzzles.

Britt tells Jason, it’s a mystery. Cyrus offered her a job as Chief of Staff, and it was too good to turn down. Jason says, maybe. Or maybe something else happened that brought her back. She ask if he’s psychic, and he says he just pays attention. Lulu comes by, and asks if there’s room for one more. She has a score to settle with Britt.

Sam asks why Alexis brings up Jason whenever Alexis wants to hurt her. Alexis says Sam isn’t the only one who gets to throw stones. How many times has Jason put the kids in danger? And what about Sonny with Kristina and Michael? She won’t even ask about Morgan. That’s obvious. Sam says, that’s cruel, but Alexis says, it’s a statement of fact. They’ve hurt people and worse, and when the enemy retaliates, they threaten their loved ones. Sam tells Alexis, listen to herself deflecting. This has nothing to do with Sonny or Jason. Alexis chose to pick up a drink and hurt her family, which includes Scout and Danny. Alexis says she’d never hurt her grandchildren, and Sam says, really? She wouldn’t visit them drunk, or drive them to the park after downing a bottle of vodka? Alexis says Sam knows that would never happen, but Sam says, actually, she doesn’t. If Alexis doesn’t agree right now to get help, she’ll never allow Alexis around her kids again.

Julian tells Ava, stopping Ryan was worth it, but she says she doubts he’ll feel that way when the favor is called in. She doesn’t know who the devil is, but Julian sold his soul to him. He says, better than Sonny having him killed. Now the letter has disappeared, and he can finally stop looking over his shoulder. She says she knows that look. Ryan’s not his only problem. He asks if she remembers the guy on the pier. He stopped Julian from shooting Nelle. She says Julian told her his gun went off, and he accidentally hit the guy. Julian says, he recovered, and he’s not only alive and well, he knows Ava’s intern. Ava says, Trina? and Julian says, he left this at the bar. He shows her the phone with the picture of Trina and Taggert, and says, that’s the guy who jumped him. She says, oh my God.

Sonny says it feels like Connie’s murder happened yesterday, and Taggert says he doesn’t know how Sonny can forgive the woman who murdered his fiancé. Sonny says he hasn’t forgiven her, but they have an understanding. He has no choice. She’s Avery’s mother, and he’d do anything for the sake of his daughter and kids. Taggert says, on that, they agree. Sonny says, Ava’s life was dismantled by Ryan Chamberlain. He’s not excusing what she did to Connie, but it balances the scales a little, and gave him insight into why she does what she does. Taggert still thinks Ava should go to prison, and Sonny says, that’s easy for him to say. It’s not his family at stake. Taggert says he’s right about that, as much as it kills him to say Sonny is right. Sonny says he’ll have to tell Carly that Taggert is alive and living next door, but Taggert says, the list of people who know is already too long. Epiphany and Jordan, and now the bartender on Halloween. Sonny looks at him.

Alex says this happened faster than she planned, and Finn asks if she thinks anyone is going to believe she’s Anna. Maxie doesn’t understand why Alex is doing this, and Finn says, because she’s a narcissist with a borderline personality. Alex says don’t make her angry, and Finn says, let Maxie go. She has nothing to do with this. Alex says, Maxie is carrying Peter’s baby. Finn is expendable. Maxie asks what Alex wants with her baby, and Alex says she’ll explain when they’re on the open water. They’re going on a trip. Maxie says she’s not going anywhere, and strongly advises Alex to run as far and as fast as she can. Once Robert catches up to her… Finn tries to grab the gun from Alex, and they struggle. Maxie yells, no!

Alexis asks if Sam is really saying she can’t see her grandchildren, and Sam says she has no choice if Alexis keeps drinking. Alexis says, she’d never hurt her grandchildren; she loves them. Sam knows she loves them, and they love her too. That’s what’s making this so hard. If Alexis decides the glass she’s holding is more important than her grandchildren, Sam can’t help her. Alexis says, so Sam is telling her, if she doesn’t go to a meeting or detox, and satisfy Sam’s demands for her life, she’s not going to let her see her grandchildren. Sam says, yes. She’d do anything to protect her children. Alexis says, except leave Jason.

Britt tells Lulu, long time. She’s surprised they haven’t run into each other. Lulu says, that was no accident, and Britt says, have at it. She’s bracing herself for another lecture on what a terrible person she is. Lulu says, Britt being Chief of Staff at GH, no wonder the hospital is such a mess. Britt tells Jason, see why she prefers to play alone? It’s time for her to get back to work, and make the hospital more of a mess. She leaves, and Lulu says, Britch is the perfect name. She thinks she’ll do an exposé on Britt. Jason says she’d be making a mistake.

Sonny says Taggert didn’t tell him that he was spotted, and Taggert says he didn’t have a chance before Jason hustled him there. Sonny asks, what happened? and Taggert says, Trina and her friends were hanging out, and the mask for his costume allowed him to follow them. The bartender suspected something, and when they left, he and he bartender got into it. The bartender ripped off his mask, and Taggert recognized him as the guy at the pier; the one he stopped from shooting that girl. Sonny asks if he’s sure it was the same guy, and Taggert says, no question. Sonny asks where he works, and Taggert says, Charlie’s. He acted like he ran the place.

Julian asks if Ava knows the man in the picture, and she asks if he’s sure this is the man. He says he didn’t get a good look, but when he saw him, it all came together and clicked. Who is he? Trina’s uncle or something? Ava says, or something. Julian is an idiot. That’s Trina’s father. Julian says she told him that Trina’s father had been killed in a shootout with Cyrus, and she says she’d thought so. So did Trina. Julian says Taggert doesn’t look six feet under to him.

Robert and Anna go into Anna’s house. Anna sees Finn on the floor, and runs to him. She sees he’s been shot, and she tells him, talk to her.

Alex has Maxie tied up on a boat (The Haunted Star?). She says, isn’t technology marvelous? It would have been tedious to try and hold a gun on her and steer at the same time, but she let autopilot handle it. Maxie says she has two other children, and they’re going to wonder what happened to her if she doesn’t get home soon. They’re sweet and innocent, and Alex is going to ruin their lives if she hurts her. Alex says she’d never hurt Maxie. She’d never put that precious cargo in jeopardy. Maxie asks why she’s doing this, and Alex tells her, relax. The helicopter will meet them soon. Maxie asks how long Alex is planning on keeping her hostage, but Alex says Maxie’s not her hostage; Maxie is her guest. Maxie laughs, and says, okay. She’s never had a hostess hold a gun on her before. Alex loves her sense of humor. They’re going to have so much fun together. Just one big happy family.

Robert talks to the paramedics, telling them Finn has been shot, while Anna tells Finn, stay with her. Don’t try to talk. He says, Alex took Maxie, and she asks, where? He says, the harbor, and Anna looks at Robert.

Alex comes back, and says, good. Maxie is still there. It won’t be long before their scheduled rendezvous. Maxie asks who they’re meeting, and Alex says, friends of hers. Maxie says, none of this makes any sense. Peter is Alex’s nephew, and she’s never wanted anything to do with him. What sparked the sudden family togetherness? Alex says, she and Maxie have more in common than Maxie realizes. Peter has a lot of secrets. In fact, Alex is willing to let Maxie in on a secret of her own.

Robert puts out an APB on Alex, and tells them to consider her armed and dangerous. She’s got a pregnant hostage, one Maxie Jones. He wants them around the waterfront, since she’ll try to escape by boat. Anna tells Finn that she loves him very much, and to stay with them. She jets, and the paramedics tell Robert that they’re ready. He asks where Anna is, and a paramedic tells him, she left. He says, damn that woman.

Sonny says, Taggert thinks the guy runs Charlie’s? and Taggert says, it looked that way. Does Sonny know him? Sonny says, Avery’s mother? It’s her lowlife brother. He shows Taggert an article in The Invader, and asks if that’s the girl he saw that night. Taggert says, yeah, that’s her, and Sonny wonders what Julian has gotten himself into.

Lulu says she knows Jason was gone most of the time Britt was in Port Charles. He didn’t experience her lies and manipulations first hand. She’s not a good person. Jason says, the point is she works for Cyrus at GH. Cyrus has already fired people close to him and Sonny. Lulu isn’t doing herself any favors by attacking Britt. Britt doesn’t care what anyone thinks, but what Lulu thinks will draw attention to Cyrus. Lulu says, good, but Jason says, it’s not good. Cyrus has only fired and reassigned people at the hospital. They don’t know how far he might go. Lulu asks if Jason thinks Cyrus would come after her, and he says he thinks she should take a step back and let things unwind. Jason’s phone rings. It’s Sonny, who says he just received an interesting piece of information. He needs Jason to do something. Jason listens, and says he’s on it, and Lulu says it sounds like he has to go. Jason says, seriously, just be careful, and leaves.

Lulu sits, and says, so Peter wants a different angle. How about this one? She starts to type on her tablet.

Ava says, so Taggert survived the shooting, and somehow faked his death. Poor Trina. She’s been grieving her father for no reason. How could Taggert let her go on like that? Julian guesses that’s why he was hanging out in Charlie’s, to be close to her, but Ava says, if he’s in Port Charles, he can’t keep lurking around. Sooner or later, someone else is going to see him. Did he recognize Julian? Julian says, Taggert said he wasn’t the guy at the pier, but he thought Taggert was lying. She says that means Taggert can connect Julian to being with Nelle the night of Wiley’s kidnapping. Julian says if Taggert wants to be dead, he doubts Taggert will report him, since he’ll have to reveal himself. Ava says, unless… Unless he finds a way to tell Sonny, Sonny puts the pieces together, and figures out Julian kidnapped Wiley. Julian says he was trying to kill Nelle; not help her. Taggert knows that. She says, but why would he want to kill Nelle? That’s what Sonny will want to know. (Not to mention, Julian was admitted to being roped into marrying her later.) Ava says, Ryan could recover, and tell Sonny about Julian’s part in the baby switch. Julian can’t stay there. She wants him to run. Disappear while he still has the chance to live.

Sonny says Taggert’s got to go; he has guests coming. Taggert says it wasn’t his intent to be spotted. He just wanted to see his daughter. Sonny gets it, and says, in the long run, it’s probably better this way. Now the pieces of the puzzle are coming together.

Julian tells Ava, the whole point of eliminating Ryan was so he didn’t have to leave his life behind. She says, we can’t always get what we want, and Julian says, then find a way for him to stay. She can start by checking on Ryan. She says she doesn’t take orders from him. She’s tempted to turn him over to Sonny herself. She walks down the hall, and Jason comes out of the elevator. He tells Julian, Sonny wants to see him, but Julian says he’s busy. Jason says, let’s go, and steers him to the elevator. Ava sees them go into the elevator together, and says, oh, God. Sonny knows.

Lulu types, an unnamed source on the hospital staff claims changes occurred due to a rivalry between the Chairman of the Board, Cyrus Renault, and local businessman, Sonny Corinthos. Mr. Renault says he’s a philanthropist, but how does he explain demoting and firing long time hospital staff who are connected to Mr. Corinthos? I’d say Peter is going to want to print that even less than the article she showed him.

Sam says, for the thousandth time, this has nothing to do with Jason, and Alexis says Sam is in denial. For the record, the ultimatum usually comes after the intervention. Sam forgot the circle of chairs, the deadly serious loved ones, the counselor, and the long tragic stories they read, telling her what a horrible person she is, and how she ruined everyone’s lives. Does Sam want her to schedule a do-over? Does next week work? Sam says, clearly, Alexis has made her decision, and she’s going to have to deal with the consequences. She’s having lunch with Kristina and Molly tomorrow, and she’s going to tell them Alexis is drinking again. She’s sorry. She tried to help. Alexis needs it, and she just wishes Alexis was able to take it from her. She leaves, and Alexis goes back to her drink.

Finn is brought into the hospital, and a Britt says he needs to be stabilized. The paramedics take Finn away, and Peter asks Robert where Maxie is. He got Robert’s message; was she hurt? Robert says, Anna has gone after Maxie and Alex; that’s all he knows. Peter asks if Finn was shot, and Robert says they found him bleeding out in his living room. That reminds him, someone is going to have to tell Finn’s brother.

Maxie says she’s not interested in Alex’s secrets, and Alex says, not even when they concern Peter? Maxie says, especially when they concern Peter. It’s all lies. Alex says, denial will only get you so far. She learned that the hard way; so has her sister. The boat rocks violently, and Alex falls, dropping the gun.

Peter goes in to see Finn. He asks if Finn can hear him. Was Maxie hurt? Anna is trying to find her. Finn says, Anna wants to much to be his mother.

Maxie asks, what was that? and Alex says, something hit them. Anna comes in, and she and Alex face each other, guns drawn.

On Monday, Chase says tell him that his brother is going to live, Robert asks Valentin where he thinks he’s going, Anna and Alex have a shootout, and Peter calls for help.

See you when the Dead walk, and no matter how you roll the weekend, stay safe, stay expecting better times, and stay being smarter than everyone else thinks. Especially an evil twin.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Curtis tells Jordan that he’s getting dinner. Does she want anything else? She says they’re out of cereal, and he promises to get one with marshmallows. She tells him, don’t be long. They have mail to open, clothes to fold, and dusting to do. She kisses him in between listing each chore, and adds, lots and lots of dusting. They start to make out, and in the doorway, Stella clears her throat.

Olivia comes to Sonny’s house. She says they have to talk about their son Dante. Dante shot Lulu’s boss.

Lulu tells Laura that the divorce papers say desertion is Dante’s reason. Laura says, that’s ridiculous. Lulu hasn’t gone anywhere, and did nothing but wait. She says Dante isn’t saying she deserted him. He’s saying he deserted her.

Maxie tells Nina, they did it. Good Morning Port Charles is going to mention the Crimson special. Jax comes in with champagne. Maxie and Nina both say they don’t have time, but Jax says it’s an excellent vintage. Nina says, one glass, if he insists. He tells them The Garden of Good and Ava is going to blow their competition out of the water. While he loathes the subject, he never doubted it would sell. Maxie says, it shows the real Ava. What if she doesn’t like it? Jax says, too bad, and they all clink glasses.

Walking into the Crimson offices, Ava tells Valentin, next time, she’s taking the stairs. Valentin asks if the psychic she saw was the real deal. She asks if he’s looking for a message from the other side. She gives Sibley four out of five chakras. Valentin asks, why not five? and she says Sibley was out of line. She spoke about something Ava wanted to forget. She tells Valentin that he’s had his share of past wrongdoings. She watched him murder Nikolas.

Alexis asks Neil, what if the reason Kristina latched on to Shiloh was because she inherited Alexis’s streak of choosing poisonous partners? Maybe she passed on the gene. Neil says it’s not always about her.

Shiloh drinks alone at The Floating Rib bar. He remembers being in an infirmary tent in Afghanistan. Drew (looking like Jason) pounds on his chest, and tells him to wake up. Shiloh asks where he is, and drew says, A-section. Shiloh asks, what happened? and Drew says his boys were ambushed, and Shiloh’s jeep was hit. He’s lucky to be alive. Shiloh asks if Drew pulled him out, and Drew says, his mistake.

Stella tells Jordan and Curtis, don’t mind her. She noticed they needed some food shopping done. Curtis says he knows how to do that. Seeing the empty cereal box, Stella says, clearly nutrition is not a priority. He says he guesses she doesn’t want any part of the barbecue he’s picking up, and she tells him to get her a double order of cornbread. He leaves, and Stella tells Jordan that she tends to share her opinions freely. It’s best for Jordan to be careful not to overexert. Jordan says if Stella is referring to her sex life, don’t worry. They’re being careful. What about her? Stella says, excuse me? and Jordan says she’s just asking if there are any new developments in her life. Stella says her life is fine, and Jordan says she was curious if Stella had a change of heart about finding her mysterious relative.

Drew shoots pool, and stares daggers at Shiloh. Shiloh continues down Afghanistan Memory Lane. Drew says he pulled him out first, a civilian. By the time he got back to get Tex, it was too late. And if Shiloh thinks he’s in the clear, he couldn’t be more wrong. At the bar, Shiloh sees he only has two bucks in his wallet. Drew says, too bad, but Shiloh says he still has the ELQ shares Oscar left him.

Nina tells Jax, when she pitched the platform to Ava, she said Ava could talk about Kiki, but never promised they wouldn’t explore the rest of her life. Jax says if there are any problems, Ava can see him, but Nina says she can handle it. She’s a big girl, and she’ll be fine.

Laura tells Lulu, maybe Dante thought it would be easier on her if he took the blame. Lulu says it’s as good a guess as any, but they are guessing. They don’t know what Dante is thinking; they’re not there. He won’t even take her calls. Laura says she’ll call Frisco. The WSB owes Lulu. Lulu says, it’s not that simple. Dante shot Peter. He’s not just their patient; he’s their prisoner. Laura is sure Dante loves her, and can’t imagine he’d walk away without even so much as a goodbye. Lulu tells her, he did say goodbye, when he was leaving, but she didn’t really hear him. What is she going to tell the kids? She cries, and Laura holds her.

Olivia tells Sonny, it’s not making sense. They’re good, kind, beautiful boy tried to kill Peter. Sonny agrees, and asks how Peter found him. Olivia says Maxie was with him. Robert told her. She tells Sonny not to look at her like she’s hysterical. Dante stole an agent’s gun, and shot Peter. Sonny says, let’s go, and she asks, where? He says, to find some answers.

Alexis says she heard Neil the first ten times he told her that. She doesn’t think she’s at the root of all of Kristina’s issues, but maybe she could be. The Pledge hinged on the mother of all domineering acts. Neil says, some might say it was an act of love. He says it’s interesting how she turned a question about her social life into a conversation about Kristina’s ordeal. She says she doesn’t have a social life; there’s nothing to discuss. He asks if that isn’t worth discussion, and she says her sad singlehood? He asks if it makes her sad, and she says, it was a joke. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. He says she came in with valid concerns about the men in her life. Are those issues no longer a concern?

Alexis says she’s sorry. She didn’t know there were rules about what they discuss. He says, it’s her session, but he’d be a bad counselor if he didn’t bring up the subject that brought her here. She says her unhealthy leaning toward risky behavior in relationships?  Has she nipped that in the bud? He says if she’s asking the questions, maybe she should pay herself. She asks if he’s done with her, and he tells her, he didn’t say that, but maybe she’s done with him.

Valentin says Ava saw Nikolas attack him. He was defending himself, and she signed an affidavit to that effect. Maxie tells Nina that Valentin and Ava are there, but Jax has one more question. Why did she gloss over so much of Ava’s past?

Drew says he told Shiloh never to say his son’s name. Shiloh says technically, the shares aren’t his yet, He thought if they worked together, it could be fixed. Drew says, no deal, and Shiloh says he doesn’t want to dishonor Oscar. Drew grabs Shiloh, and throws him up against the bar. Curtis comes in, and breaks them up. He tells Drew that Oscar wouldn’t want this, and they sit.

Lulu tells Laura that she’ been walking a tightrope with the kids, assuring them that Dante’s absence is temporary. How can she tell them it might be forever? What will it do to them? Laura says, kids are resilient. The more pressing question isn’t how the kids will deal with it, but how Lulu will. Lulu doesn’t know what her options are. Scream? Fall apart? Bury her head in the sand? Laura says she has two options. Give Dante what he wants, or fight him. She doesn’t have to decide right now. The state gives twenty days to contest a divorce. After that, it goes through automatically. Lulu says, so Dante left her twenty days to decide whether to fight for their marriage or let it die.

Ava asks if the Crimson issue has gone to print, and Maxie says, it’s going to be huge. Ava wants an advance copy. In Nina’s office, Nina tells Jax that he’d said it was an honest portrayal of a difficult woman. She pulled no punches. Jax says she left out Ava’s involvement in various crimes. When Nikolas faked his own death, she was there, and during part of the trip, Nikolas was murdered. Nina says, he wasn’t murdered. Valentin only defended himself. Anyone who sees it otherwise is delusional, including Nikolas’s mother.

Lulu tells Laura that she doesn’t have to hang around, but Laura says she’s a mom. Hanging around is part of the job description. Lulu has to make a decision about the future. Lulu says, she has to make all the decisions. What they have for dinner, what clothes the kids wear, what movies they see, when to say no, and when to give them what they want. Whether they love or hate each other, whether they hang on or move on, they’re supposed to be in this together. Now he says it’s just her. She throws the papers down. Sonny and Olivia knock at the door, and Laura says it’s Lulu’s choice. Outside, Olivia says she has the key. Sonny says Lulu shouldn’t have to do this alone; they’re family. Lulu opens the door. Olivia says Robert told her the craziest thing. Sonny says, it’s true, isn’t it? and Lulu says, more than he knows.

Curtis asks Drew if he’s good, and Drew says he is. Curtis tells him, just think about his son. Drew says that’s all he does, but it’s hard not to come apart when that bastard gets in his face. He should have killed him. Curtis says, maybe he tried. Shiloh steals a tip sitting on the bar, and puts it in his wallet. I didn’t think I could look at him as any more of a lowlife than I already did, but I do. He asks for another beer. In Afghanistan, Drew tells Shiloh that Tex never regained consciousness after the ambush, but this morning, before they set out, he told Drew everything. Shiloh made over a million dollars on the black market. If Tex had lived, he’d be facing a court martial. Shiloh will be tried as a civilian as soon as Drew turns his ass in.

Stella tells Jordan that she doesn’t have time to be frivolous, like tracking down long lost relatives. She asks if they need help with the bills, but Jordan says they’ll be fine. Curtis has picked up some work, and she’s back to working part time. Stella thinks that was fast, but Jordan says it’s just enough that Mac doesn’t feel overwhelmed, and she feels useful. But she has the time and the inclination to help unmask Stella’s mysterious relation.

Alexis accuses Neil of trying to ditch her. He asks if it would make her feel abandoned if they severed ties. She asks if she’s cured, but he says, that word has no business in a therapeutic context. It suggests the client was sick in the first place. She asks if she’s good to go, and he says there are more depths to plumb, but by her own assertion, her question has been answered. He doesn’t want to risk them having an unhealthy therapeutic relationship. She says, spoken like someone who knows from experience.

Olivia asks how Maxie knew Dante meant to shoot, and Lulu says he had his gun in his hand. When he saw Peter, he fired. Olivia says it’s the PTSD. That’s why he needs to be home, or he can’t heal. Laura says, he might not be free to go. Sonny asks why Maxie and Peter were there, and Lulu says, they were just trying to help. It’s not their fault. Olivia says, it’s not Dante’s fault, but Lulu says, that’s why he left. He didn’t trust his own mind. Olivia suggests tearing up the papers. Sonny asks if Lulu is giving Dante a divorce.

Alexis asks if Neil has ever experienced an unhealthy therapeutic relationship. He thought they had an understanding about respecting his private life, but she says, it’s not about his private life, but his professional life. Past conduct is relevant. He says she has nothing to worry about, and she says, interesting that he thinks she’s worried. He says he thinks she has a talent for redirecting the conversation. It serves her well anywhere but there. She came to him because of her personal life. How does she feel about her progress. Does she think she needs more work, or can she handle it? She thinks it’s been productive. Maybe she has gotten all she needs from him. He says there’s a way of putting that to the test.

Stella asks Jordan, what part of not interested doesn’t she grasp. She says she grasps it; she just doesn’t buy it. Stella say she doesn’t need to know everything about her family. She already immersed herself in their history, and she’s made peace with it. If there’s another branch of the family she doesn’t know about, or someone got into something they shouldn’t have, there goes the peace. Jordan says there’s someone tied to her by blood out there in the world. Can she honestly make peace with that?

Curtis tells Drew, Shiloh is a swindler. He doesn’t do anything without a payoff, and he’s dropping Oscar’s name because he’s angling to get a reaction he can use. Don’t give him that. Do it for Oscar. Shiloh thinks again back to Afghanistan. He tells Drew he didn’t do anything. Drew has no proof. Drew says he sold fuel to the enemy. It’s treason, and good for at least twenty years. It’s not enough. Shiloh calls Drew a self-righteous bastard. At The Floating Rib, Shiloh looks at Drew.

Maxie tells Ava that she’ll get a copy as soon as the magazine is back from the printer. Valentin asks if Ava is eager to see herself. It’s brave of her. She says she wants the readers to see her daughter as she did; beautiful and full of life. Maxie says Ava’s interview was compelling, and Kiki was a huge part.

Jax tells Nina that he couldn’t care less about Valentin’s innocence. It’s Ava’s guilt he doesn’t want to protect. Nina says if they’d mentioned everything, it wouldn’t be a feature. It would be a seven volume encyclopedia. The whole idea was for Ava to tell her story in her own words, and put it out there for the world to judge. It shows her for who she is; vain, insecure, and selfish to the core. The internet is a savage place. (She’s got that right.) When the comments start to come through, Ava will get what she deserves and more, trust her. He says, that’s an interesting choice of words; trust her. Why does he get the feeling she’s not telling him something? She says maybe he’s projecting, and has a hidden agenda. He says he was transparent about his plans for Crimson. She says she was thinking about doing a new feature. High fashion’s representation of dangerous women – Helena Cassadine, Alex Marick, Cassandra Pierce. Has he ever heard of her? Valentin listens.

Jax says, Cassandra Pierce? Fugitive from justice, and key figure in an international drug cartel manufacturing synthetic opioids? Ava walks in, and asks why this matters.

Stella admits to Jordan that she already paid the subscription fee to connect to whoever it was, but they didn’t do the same. She can’t get more information. Maybe they don’t want to know her.

In Afghanistan, Drew says Shiloh just wanted to make a buck. Tex hated himself. Shiloh says it was his choice, but Drew says Shiloh talked him into it. He’s worse than the Taliban. Shiloh asks what good it will do to turn him in, and Drew says he can’t explain justice to Shiloh. He’s incapable of understanding. At the bar, Shiloh says he’ll get justice as soon as he gets his money back.

Olivia asks if Lulu has fallen out of love with Dante, but she says, never. Olivia says Dante hasn’t either. He’s just not himself right now. Sonny says Dante isn’t out of their lives. Maybe he believes Lulu and the kids are better off without him. Olivia says, he’s a self-sacrificing idiot. Lulu says, it hurts either way. Her husband is gone, and he dumped all the decisions on her. Olivia knows her boy, and knows he’ll come back. Laura says Lulu is the one who’s married to him. It’s her choice, and their job to support her.

Alexis hears a plan coming on, and Neil says it harkens back to their earlier discussion about her social life. Alexis says, she doesn’t have one, and he asks if that’s by choice or circumstances. She says she’s been busy rescuing her daughter from a cult. He says she’s always busy, and Kristina is free. Maybe it’s time that she discover if her progress has yielded any practical results. Go on a date. She says, because the Port Charles pool of desirable men is so deep? He says if she wants to know if she can avoid the Julians and Jaxes of the world, she has to get out there. Alexis says, getting out there is one way; avoiding men altogether is another. He asks if she’s ready to give up romantic relationships.

Alexis says she never mentioned renouncing romantic relationships altogether. Although it’s crossed her mind that it’s the easier option. He says, some people find fulfilment elsewhere. Does she think she’s one of those? She says, romantic relationships are emotionally exhausting, and always end up in tears. Why put herself through the disappointment? He says it sounds like they still have more to talk about, and she says, so she’s not firing him? He asks her to tell him. Her phone dings. She says she guarantees he’ll definitely see her next week. Shiloh made bail.

Ava tells Nina that Maxie informed her the magazine isn’t back from the printers yet. When can she expect her advance copy? Nina says as soon as its shipped, but right now, she’s in the middle of a meeting. She asks Maxie to walk Ava out. She says it’s been an honor, and she’s pleased to tell Ava’s story, but publishing never stops. She needs to work on the next issue. Maxie says she’ll call Ava as soon as it arrives. She’s sure their readers will be fascinated. Ava says, the only opinion that matters is Kiki’s. She just wants Kiki to get her message.

Jax leaves, and Nina tells Valentin, she’s calling the printer. The sooner the magazine ships, the sooner Ava gets her copy. Valentin says there was tension between Nina and Jax. What was it about? Nina says, him.

Stella tells Jordan that she preferred being prepared, in case a long lost relative showed up, but unless they change their mind, she’ll just have to wonder. Jordan says too bad she doesn’t have a detective in the family with time on their hands. Stella doesn’t know, but Jordan says she can make discreet inquiries, but leave Stella’s name out.

Lulu tells Laura that she doesn’t know how to make this decision. Does she listen to her heart or head> What’s the right thing to do? Laura says, be honest with herself. Ask herself, will her life or her children’s lives be better if she fights Dante on this, or should she accept it? Lulu says, either way, Dante may never come home.

Olivia and Sonny go back to Sonny’s place. Olivia can’t stand not being able to talk to Dante, when he’s obviously hurting. She could make him understand why he’s wrong. Sonny says, maybe; maybe not. She say she has to keep believing in Dante, and tells Sonny not to give up on their son. Sonny says he’s not doing that, but maybe Dante is cutting himself off from them too.

Drew tells Curtis, normally, he can let the stuff Shiloh says roll off his back, but it’s different when you have kids. Curtis says he’s got more than memories to his life. Oscar would want him to live. Shiloh is garbage. Forget his ass, and move on.

In Afghanistan, Shiloh says he’ll lawyer up. He’s not saying a word. Maybe he’ll be convicted, maybe not, but why not take a chance? They can do it together. Root the bastards out, and split the money. He’ll never have to see Shiloh again. Think of the life he can live back home with his girl Kim. Drew grabs Shiloh by the throat, and says, don’t ever say her name again. He can’t comprehend the meaning of justice, but he will. Back in Port Charles, Shiloh says Drew should have taken the deal. He looks at Drew and smiles.

Tomorrow, Curtis asks what Valentin and Cassandra have in common, Lulu meets Dustin again, and Finn says Hayden has kept her fair share of secrets from him.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Eze, France. At the picnic, Aesha asks where the cutlery is. Colin says, it’s not in the van, and she tells him that they’ll have to steal some from a restaurant. In João’s interview, he says, it’s a total clusterf**k, bringing all this stuff uphill. Surely Hannah understands they’re unmanned. He could call Captain Sandy, but it’s too late to send more people. There’s no point. Colin charms someone at a restaurant, and gets what they need, including napkins.

Back at the boat, Anastasia says she loves the water, and has forgotten all her hours in the galley.

June tells Aesha she was holding it, but didn’t pack it. We see a clip of her holding the bag with the cutlery in it. In her interview, Aesha says June can’t even own up to her own mistake in not packing the key thing for the picnic. In June’s interview, she says she feels like she’s been thrown in the fire for this. She remembers putting them in a Ziplock bag, but it’s not her fault; she just got here. The picnic is set up

The rest of the crew plays in the water.

Jackie wants to hold a butterfly. She says it came down and touched her, but thinks she scared it. I’d be afraid of her too. Lunch is served. Jackie says this is something only a billionaire can do, but they are billionaires. Jackie tells Aesha to give the chef two thumbs up. After lunch, Aesha asks if the guests want make their way down. Jackie wants to stop at a store. João radios Hannah, and tells her that they’re packing up.

Jack finds the cutlery on the galley table. On the hill, the supplies are all packed up. They pass the guests on the way down. João says, this is bullsh*t. There’s too little of them to do that much work.

Anastasia plans the dinner, and gives Hannah the menu. In her interview, she says, the guests are requesting some weird-ass sh*t. Sea urchin is something a vegan would never touch. Actually, a normal person wouldn’t touch it. João radios for the tender, and Travis heads out. Colin says, it was a sh*t show. Jackie’s daughter says her husband is trés sexy. Her husband says he’s trés bored.

Joao tells Hannah it was too much work for four people, and ill-planned. It took them an hour and a half to bring everything back down. Hannah sends June on an hour break. In June’s interview, she whines, only an hour? She’s been up since five. Travis says he had a chill day, and offers to help put the stuff away. João says they had extra hands to work. Why weren’t they working? In João’s interview, he says the last thing he needs to hear is that Travis had a chill day, while they were working their asses off. Hannah says, that’s picnics for you. There’s not a lot she can do. In her interview, she says she understands his frustration, but she sent two stews. He has four deckhands. Why didn’t he take them?

João tells Colin that they got the job done. If it had been Jack or Travis, it would have halted rather than been finished. In Colin’s interview, he says he and João have been carrying the deck crew. Having Jack and Travis test out the slide is frustrating. He tells João, sweet. Those a-holes got paid for a day off.

Jackie shows everyone a piece of jewelry she got for only $30K. She hates making a deal. In Aesha’s interview, she says when she was growing up, they couldn’t even afford cheese. Jackie asks for the tender to be there at 6:30. Hannah radios June, who’s sleeping. In Hannah’s interview, she says June just got there. Didn’t she nap on the plane? Hannah goes to June’s bunk at tells her it’s 6:30.

The guests return. Captain Sandy asks how it was, and Aesha says, they loved it. João snores in his bunk. Hannah gives the returning guests towels. Anastasia apologizes to the sea urchins as she carves them, singing, crazy rich people want to eat you. Aesha tells Hannah about June forgetting the cutlery, when she’d told her it was the main thing. She’s going to have to keep an eye on her. Hannah hopes it doesn’t turn into a nightmare.

João tells Jack to put the stuff away. In Jack’s interview, he says he thinks he and João get on well, but João keeps trying to tell him what to do all the time. Um… isn’t that what a boss does? Hannah asks what Jackie’s intentions for the memorial dinner are, and she says she wants tonight to have a spiritual feeling. In Hannah’s interview, she says her mother went through it with her brother. Her other brother moved away when her parents broke up, and it was strange going from five to two people in her family.  She tells Jackie they’ll make it special tonight.

Hannah apologizes to João. He says, it’s not anyone’s fault, but they’re not doing it like again. Hannah asks him how he thinks June is doing. He says, fine, and Hannah says, she has the personality of an effing glass of water. In Hannah’s interview, she says she and João have come so far. It’s best to let the past go. In João’s interview, he says she’s growing on him, but that’s all that’s growing. He promises.

Hannah tells June how dinner is going to work, and instructs her on silverware placement. In June’s interview, she says she’s smart, but…. Hannah tells her to do the middle of the table, and she’ll do the rest.

Jackie shows June a picture of her daughter. June starts to cry, and says her dad passed away ten years ago. He got very sick, out of nowhere. It was unexpected, and changed everything. She misses him every day. I’m not liking June that much, but I identify. Jackie tells her about seeing the butterfly, and says it was her daughter giving her a sign. June thinks it was definitely a sign. Jackie takes off her butterfly ring, and puts it on June. She tells June it’s gold-plated, but it’s unclear if this is part of, or is, the $30K purchase earlier. June asks if Jackie is sure, and Jackie says she’s getting goosebumps. She doesn’t know if it’s her daughter, June’s dad, or both. The guests sit. June did a beautiful job with the table. Purple (the daughter’s favorite color) netting with white star fish, shells, and stones placed on it, and a white candle in the middle.

Some of the guests are going out later, and ask to have the tender available. In her interview, Anastasia says she’s surprising herself with every meal. The starter is sea scallops, with cauliflower puree and caviar, which sounds amazing. In Hannah’s interview, she thinks Anastasia is spot on. The scallops look like boobs, and there are a lot of fake ones on board. Hannah asks June if the cabins are done. In June’s interview, she says it takes a while for her to finish, but she always ends up getting it done. it took her two years to finish bartending school. Hannah and Anastasia exchange looks.

Jackie asks if the chef went to a special chef school. The sea urchin is served. Jackie tells everyone, sea urchin tastes like a nursing baby’s poop. I don’t want to know any more than that. In her interview, June says when Hannah looks at her like she’s dumb – we see a clip of Hannah pointing out a list of duties – it makes her flustered. Hannah tells June that if she says she’s finished, and Hannah finds out she’s not, she’s going to get annoyed because she lied, not because she’s taking too long. June tells Aesha about the ring, and Aesha says, it’s so nice. In Aesha’s interview, she says it takes so long to recover from a death. She cries a little in her room, then comes out and asks Jack for a hug. She asks if someone can clean for her; she feels sick. The memorial reminded her of her brother. Jack pitches in with the cleaning, and Travis takes over on the hug. He tells her, let it out, and she cries. He tells her, it’s all right.

Jack clears the plates, and Jackie tells everyone not to say hi to Jack on a plane. It takes me a beat, and I literally lol, even though it’s stupid. In his interview, Jack says he doesn’t like seeing Aesha upset. If she can get through something so traumatic, what does he have to complain about? Captain Sandy tells Jack to find his shoes, and João asks him to make sure the tender is ready.

Some of the guests are ready to go. Jack is getting his outfit ready for his date with Aesha, when João radios. He changes back, and helps the guests onto the tender. João says he’s coming along, and they get in.

A few guests have stayed behind with Jackie, who says it’s been emotional for her. They write things on the paper lanterns. Aesha and June make lanterns as well, but Hannah passes. Good for her. I can’t stand those lanterns. One landed in my backyard once – still burning. This is no one’s best idea.  The other group gets to shore. On the dock, João comments on Jack’s bare feet, and Jack says he prefers it. João says Jack is like a child, and Jack says his feet can’t be caged. It’s not a big deal. João says, it is. At the boat, the lanterns are prepared for flight. Jack tells João, the world is still turning. João tells Jack, stop treating the job like it’s a joke. Jack tells him, calm down, and João says he can’t if Jack keeps effing up.  In João’s interview, he says, if Jack doesn’t do something, he’s going to see someone he doesn’t want to see.

On land, the guests take a car to Monaco.

Jackie lets go of her lantern, which promptly falls straight into the water.

Going back in the tender, Jack tells João, if he wants something from him, don’t speak to him like a d*ckhead; he has no respect. Always ask nicely. Jack finds the lantern in the water, and radios the boat. He tells them to hold the lantern for sixty seconds first, until it starts to rise. They do it, and it works. I’m guessing that gives heat inside a chance to build. Jackie hugs June, and says her daughter and June’s dad are there.

Joao asks Colin if speaks disrespectfully to Jack, but Colin thinks he just sounds like a regular boss. He says, that’s Jack’s thing now. Aesha tells Jack, João is on his high horse, and she and Jack mimic riding a horse in the galley. João says, Jack is a little bug who can be squashed. Jackie thinks she’s discovered a new star, but Colin tells her that it’s a planet. Desperate for more signs, she says if they hadn’t done the lanterns, they wouldn’t have seen it. Hannah opens champagne for two of the guests. On deck, Jackie talks to another guest who seems hammered. They get in the hot tub. The guests on shore call for a ride back at almost 4 am. Hannah radios Jack to replace Colin on watch, so Colin can pick up the guests.

After the guests get back and have another drink, they finally go to bed. Jackie is still up, and wandering. She goes into the galley, and nearly scares the life out of Hannah, who’s in there making a list. Hannah is distracted momentarily when two other guests poke their heads in, and Jackie meanders to the laundry room. Hannah hotfoots it behind her. Jackie says she didn’t know this was there, and Hannah suggests they talk about it upstairs so they don’t wake the crew up. In Hannah’s interview, she says she’s been babysitting all night. Why is she there, and why does she do this job? Travis asks if Hannah just got up for a minute, and she says she hasn’t been to bed. He hugs her, and in her interview, she says she’s looking forward to their date. He’s a bit of a menace, but she loves a menace.

Aesha asks one of the guests when they got in, and she says she doesn’t know. It’s the last day of charter, and the anchor is up. The captain tells João they have schedule. Anastasia asks June if she has a boyfriend, and June says, it’s weird. Yeah, no, she isn’t sure. Hannah says June told her she traveled too much. June says, she didn’t, but we flash back to that. In June’s interview, she says they’re on a break. It’s hard to talk about it, since it’s complicated. Jack tells Travis about the shoe discussion. Anastasia asks Hannah where they’re going on the date. Hannah doesn’t know, and just wants to sleep.  Breakfast is served at almost 11 am. Jackie points out that there’s caviar, and says, the chef doesn’t miss a beat.

Everyone gets changed. The guests pack, and the crew lines up. This better be good tip after all that bragging about how rich she is. Jackie says the crew has been the most professional and nicest group she’s ever met, and gives Captain Sandy an envelope. She says she wishes she could take them home, and tells the butterfly story. She’s still talking past 1 pm. Captain Sandy, who’s been nodding like a bobblehead, says they’re glad, happy, and thrilled the guests enjoyed it, and that they were able to provide the experience. Jackie finally says goodbye.

João wants to talk to the captain. He says he’s struggling a bit with the deck team. He’s trying to drive people who don’t want to work there. Captain Sandy says he probably won’t find someone who works at his pace. Exceptional crew members are few and far between. She suggests he engage, and play up the team aspect. It’s part of being a leader. She tells him, good luck. Jack asks June how her first charter was, and she says, it couldn’t go any better. She tells Colin that she just saw West Side Story. In Colin’s interview, he says, if the conversation ends in a musical number, you know you had a good time.

Captain Sandy says they got a great tip. She’s in awe of Anastasia, and says she has talent. She asks how June feels, getting thrown in. June says she’s getting along, and it’s going to be good. The tip is 13,000 euros, or $1175 per person. In Aesha’s interview, she says Jackie gave away expensive jewelry, and they can’t even get a decent tip. I agree. She could have done a lot better. João calls a deck crew meeting, and tells them that things were slightly more disorganized this charter. Jack didn’t appreciate them arguing on the last day, and says it would be better if João talked to him with respect. It creates motivation. João says he’s not there to create motivation, but Jack says, as a team leader, he is. Agreeing with that too. Didn’t the captain just tell him to play up teamwork? João must know Jack is right, because he starts stammering. He tells Jack, just get on with what they need to do, and don’t say he’s not motivated. June struggles to put a sheet on Captain Sandy’s bed.

Aesha hugs Jack. She says she hasn’t been on a date in ages. Jack says his last date was a one night stand. She doesn’t think that’s considered a date, but he says they got food on the way home. João says he’ll be Colin’s wingman, and asks about his pick-up lines. Colin says they’re lame. You must be an atom because we have chemistry. João says he’ll get this right. June is nervous about her first time outside the boat with the crew. Everyone knows each other, and she hopes to make friends.

Jack tells Travis that he’s not trying for a kiss tonight. They all get out of the taxi at a beautiful restaurant. Jack asks if June is a vegetarian, and she says she doesn’t eat octopus. Jack asks if Aesha is twerking tonight, and João promises not to judge. Hannah thinks they make a cute couple. She asks again if June has a boyfriend, and June says she is seeing someone. She’s not looking. In his interview, Colin says, f**k me. June says, they’re not broken up; they’re just not talking. Jack says usually when he’s not talking to a girl, it means they’ve broken up. He adds that now they’re grilling her, but Hannah says she’s just curious. June doesn’t feel well, and tells Anastasia not to say anything. She leaves the table, and Anastasia says, she just needs a minute. Hannah asks if she’s crying, but Anastasia says, no.

June barely makes it into the restroom, and throws up in a garbage can.

Next time, the primary is MLB player Johnny Damon, Captain Sandy says Jack is going to be off the boat, some of the guests harass Anastasia in the galley, João has to scuba dive for the anchor, and June won’t answer the radio.
