General Hospital

🥢 Weekday Bites…

Monday:

In bed with a sleeping Jack, Carly flashed back to telling him that she wasn’t backing out and kissing him. Jack woke up and asked if she had any regrets, but she said, no. She made her choice and was sticking to it.

At the hospital, Lucas apologized to Elizabeth for being grumpy. He hadn’t gotten a lot of sleep his first night at Windymere. She asked if he wanted to talk about it, and he said, everything was great until it wasn’t.

Dante visited Rocco at the detention center.

At the station, Turner told Nathan that Dalton was supposed to come to her office at 9 am and never showed.

Laura went to her office and Sonny was there. He told her that they needed to conduct business as usual, and she said her priority was Rocco. She was going to work quickly to get him out of there. Sonny said he needed to tell her what happened to Dalton.

Jason went to see Britt and said he wouldn’t have left unless it was absolutely necessary. She said she knew how it worked. Why was he there? He said he wanted to make things right.

Jack said hurting Carly was the last thing he’d wanted and not telling her that Vaughn was in the WSB did that. He was doing what he could to keep his work life separate from her family life. She said they both had to figure out how they fit together, but it might take a while. She went to shower, and Jack called Josslyn and asked where his update was. Josslyn was in bed with Vaughn.

Sonny said it wouldn’t be long before the cops were asking questions and asked if Laura had any trouble with her car. She said, no, but she didn’t look in the trunk, and he said there were no traces inside or out. She asked if there was anything that would link her to the body, but he said there was no body.

Josslyn told Jack that she’d told her mom that it was Lucas’s choice to move in with Marco and they should support him. Her mom was furious, but she scored points with Lucas and thought he considered her a confidant. Jack said he’d follow up later and told her to make up with her mother. She asked if it was for the good of world security or his and Carly’s relationship, and he said, both. She wondered if Jack knew she and Vaughn had spent the night together, and Vaughn said he hoped not.

Jason said Britt could trust him and asked her to tell him what her connection to Dalton was. She said she appreciated that he came back and accepted his apology, but didn’t understand what he expected. He said, the truth. Without it, he couldn’t help her. She said she wasn’t asking for his help. It was her problem to deal with. He could do what he did best and leave.

Turner told Nathan that she’d called Dalton more than once and there had been no answer or returned calls. If she didn’t hear from him within an hour, she was going to ask Nathan to take him into custody. She was starting to believe he’d set up Rocco.

Rocco told Dante that he hadn’t destroyed Dalton’s lab, and Dante said he believed him. Danny and Charlotte were also backing him up and were going to testify. Rocco said they couldn’t. Charlotte was already on the PCPD’s radar and if Drew found out Danny was involved, Danny would never see Scout again. Dante said it was one thing when it was a misdemeanor, but Rocco was facing criminal felony charges. It was their best strategy. Rocco said, what if it backfired? but Dante said it wouldn’t. Rocco stepped up for them, and they wanted to step up for him.

Jack asked what was troubling Carly, and she said she didn’t know what Josslyn had been thinking, encouraging Lucas to move into Windymere. She’d made no allowances that Sidwell was their housemate. She asked Jack’s opinion, and he said it wasn’t what she wanted to hear, but he thought she should make peace with Josslyn and Lucas.

Josslyn told Vaughn that Lucas didn’t deserve this. He was kind and generous, and he’d been through so much. His last ex scared him so much, he moved away for years. Now he was finally back and with a guy she knew was bad news and living on Spoon Island with Jenz Sidwell and whatever lethal project Sidwell was working on, but she couldn’t warn him. She’d had the worst fight with her mom while thinking, she was so right. Lucas should never have moved in. Vaughn said she needed to consider the bigger picture. What was more important, Lucas’s broken heart or shutting down Faison’s final project? She said, obviously shutting down Sidwell was for the greater good, but she hated that Lucas would be collateral damage and would end up with one more broken heart.

Lucas told Elizabeth that he felt Marco still blamed Sonny for his mother’s death. He thought what happened was a tragedy, but couldn’t put it on Sonny. Sonny and Marco’s mom were sort of close, and he could see how Marco thought Sonny played a part. Eventually that happened when Marco disappeared. He flashed back to telling Sonny that if he touched Marco again, he’d be back with the police, and said Marco had plenty of reasons to hate Sonny. Sonny had never faced the consequences for the things he’d done. Since Measure C failed, it didn’t look like he would. Elizabeth said she supported his relationship, but a lot of people he cared about, cared about Sonny. Maybe he should take a step back and let Marco fight this battle on his own.

Jason said he’d never tell Britt how to live her life, but there was one key difference between them. She had an illness. She may hate the idea of needing anybody, but there would come a day when she was going to need someone.

Dante said that didn’t mean Rocco wasn’t in trouble. What he did was dangerous, stupid, and illegal, and had serious consequences. He didn’t deserve to be in there. He needed to stay strong for 24 hours and get to his bail hearing. Rocco said he could do that and asked if Dante thought he’d be home for Thanksgiving. Dante said he didn’t know.

Laura said she’d been up all night searching her apartment for anything that tied her to the body, and Sonny asked if she found anything, but she said she didn’t. Somebody went to a lot of trouble to put Dalton’s body in her trunk and might have taken extra steps to tie her to it. He said that was smart, and she said it occurred to her that maybe she’d played into their hands, covering it up. She thought they should put the body back and she should tell the truth, but she’d keep him out. He said she couldn’t do that. She’d already lied to Nathan, and Nathan knew he’d helped her with her tire. She would open them both up to potential criminal charges. Their grandson already had charges of his own. Rocco was better off with Dalton dead. She said she guessed he was right, and he said he’d never lie to her. She told him that what she’d said to Dalton could be considered a motive, but he said, no body, no crime. She had to live her life and act surprised when she found out Dalton disappeared. Martin walked in with flowers and saw Sonny there. He said she’d won the election, but Mr. Corinthos had jeopardized the whole damn thing.

Josslyn said she’d signed up for the risk, and Vaughn said, but Lucas didn’t. She said she hated lying to the only people she trusted and using someone she loved who was completely innocent and putting them in danger. She snuggled against him and said she didn’t know what to do with all of that. He said if the moment came when she couldn’t take it anymore, he’d back her when she said it was time to get Lucas out of the situation. If Brennan didn’t go for it, they’d do it themselves. She said it would put them both in a lot of danger, and he said, probably, but if she took the risk for her uncle, he’d take the risk for her. They kissed.

Carly said, Jack thought she should apologize to Josslyn and Lucas? and he suggested she reach out to Lucas and apologize for not taking his relationship seriously. Marco would eventually reveal who he was to Lucas, who would be sadder, but wiser. She said she understood Lucas, but didn’t understand why Josslyn supported his decision. Jack said maybe Josslyn supported his happiness, but Carly said, the path to happiness didn’t run through Windymere. He said it was clear she and Josslyn had a special bond and loved each other very much, and she said it meant so much to her that he understood how important her daughter was to her. He said she was just as important to him, when his phone chimed. She said she was going to check on the food, but he said, don’t call on his account. He had a last-minute meeting.

Martin asked if Sonny being in Laura’s office was wise, since he nearly cost her the election, but Sonny said they were family. They had a grandson in trouble. Laura said if the public had concerns, she’d have a press conference and answer any questions, and Sonny said he didn’t want to waste any more of her valuable time. He was going to see Rocco. Sonny left, and Martin said nobody had more respect, love, and concern for her grandson, but she couldn’t be blind to who Sonny really was.

Turner told Nathan that she had to pull the plea deal, but now the forensics report said there was nothing in the lab to back up Dalton’s accusations. Nathan wondered if Dalton didn’t want to perjure himself, and she said he’d dug one helluva hole for himself with the DA’s office. Dante came in and said he’d just come from visiting Rocco. He was terrified. Turner said she was doing everything to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Keep her posted. She left, and Dante asked what she meant. Nathan said he thought she was trying to get Rocco off.

Britt told Jason that she was in remission and felt and looked great. He asked how long she thought it would last. Any time he broached the subject, she was vague. She said maybe she didn’t like talking about it or thinking how it would end. She lived in the now. He said he understood, but she’d seemed healthy since he found her and she never gave him a good explanation. Was working at the Five Poppies what she had to do to stay in remission?

Carly met Josslyn outside the hospital, and said she was there to see Lucas, but was glad she ran into Josslyn. She was sorry about how she’d acted. She was upset about Lucas and took it out on Josslyn. She wished she could say she’d stop worrying, but she couldn’t. Josslyn said Carly wouldn’t be her mom if she wasn’t worried about something, and Carly said she didn’t want it to come between them. Josslyn said she was sorry for not backing Carly. She understood why Carly didn’t want Lucas to move to Windymere, but obviously Lucas cared for Marco and moving in was up to them. Carly said she’d handled the situation badly, but she wasn’t wrong to worry. What kind of man moved his boyfriend in with a man as dangerous as Sidwell? Did she think Lucas could trust Marco?

Lucas said he saw Marco was in pain and wanted to help, but Elizabeth said he couldn’t ignore the animosity between Sonny and Sidwell. There were things he didn’t know about, which was probably a good thing. Just support Marco and celebrate him, but don’t go all in for him against Sonny. He already lived on an island. Don’t isolate himself further and cut himself off from his family.

Dante said Turner was prosecuting the case, but Nathan said he got the impression that the forensics report was good news for Rocco and bad news for Dalton, who was a no-show. He thought Dalton was running scared because he’d given a false statement. Dante said he was sending a car to the house and the university. They had to find this guy now.

Rocco had obviously been roughed up, and the guard tried to make excuses, but Sonny told him, stop lying. If he didn’t, he had no idea what kind of trouble Sonny could land on him.

Vaughn met Jack, who said he assumed Vaughn had something for him. Vaughn said he’d gotten information from a friend that Dalton was throwing them back at the Brown Dog. When he got there, Dalton was pretty loose. Jack asked if he was loose enough to be useful, and Vaughn said he was saying things he shouldn’t. He’d told Josslyn that he had another lab off campus. Jack said, Josslyn was there? and Vaughn said Dalton was liquored up enough to be sloppy and it was a good opportunity, so he called Josslyn in. Jack asked if he wasn’t worried about her safety, and Vaughn said he’d trained her, but hung around in case she needed back-up. Jack asked if that was all he did.

Carly told Josslyn that Marco was smart enough to know who his dad was. If he was willfully ignoring it, he only cared about what he wanted and he wanted to move Lucas in. If that was the case, he didn’t love Lucas at all. Josslyn said, maybe he didn’t, but it didn’t matter. Lucas made his decision, and from his point of view, it sounded like she was making him choose between her and Marco, and she didn’t think Carly would like who he chose.

Rocco said it looked worse than it was, and the guard tried to make excuses again, but Sonny told him to shut his mouth. The guard left, and Sonny asked, what happened? Rocco said he was fine. They’d pulled the guy off before he could do much. Sonny asked why someone came after Rocco, and Rocco said he didn’t know, but thought it was because his dad was a cop.

On the phone in his car, Nathan said there was no sign of Dalton on campus. He was at the MetroCourt, and Dalton wasn’t there either, but his car was in the parking lot. Housekeeping let him into Dalton’s room, but he couldn’t trace Dalton’s phone. He was going to contact Dalton’s assistant to see if they could give him something. Dalton’s disappearance could delay the bail hearing. Dante said there was no way Dalton was going to set Rocco up then drop off the face of the planet. They had to find him and get Rocco out today.

Britt said it was her life and her condition. Jason didn’t get a say. Jason said he wasn’t judging her, but still wanted to help. Whatever her terms were, he’d accept them. She didn’t have to face this alone. He let her down and would probably do it again. He wasn’t perfect, but he was doing his best. He knew sometimes his best wasn’t enough, but she could trust him. She was pushing him away, but he wasn’t going anywhere. He was going to prove she could trust him.

Laura said Martin had forged Monica’s will, but he said he’d been trying to right a wrong. She said he was trying cheat Tracy, and he said Tracy drove him to it… All right. She was right. It was stupid and not the smartest move, but anything he did paled in comparison to what Sonny committed every day. Laura said Martin didn’t know Sonny or what he did, but Martin said he’d like to think he knew her. He got why she’d had a blind spot for their brother, but Sonny was the same. She said Sonny and Cyrus were nothing alike, but he said he wasn’t sure. He’d push Cyrus away and Cyrus would pull him back in. Deep down he was convinced there was something good because of Cyrus’s genuine love for their mother and his sincere desire to have a relationship with them. That’s why he always made excuses for Cyrus making the same mistakes. There was a whole lot more to Sonny than she was willing to admit. She said Sonny had sense of justice. He could tell the difference between who was innocent or guilty, unlike their brother. He said Sonny was a gangster and corrupt. The closer she was to him, the more likely she was to get pulled down with him. For instance, she won the election and Measure C was done, but Sidwell wouldn’t stop until he made her and Sonny pay for it. Laura flashed back to Sonny saying, somebody didn’t like the results, and her telling him, it was Sidwell. She told Martin that he may be right.

Rocco said, please don’t tell his dad, and Sonny said it wasn’t about his dad. It was about him. His dad may be a cop, but he was Rocco’s grandfather and everybody in there, kids included, knew his name. He was all for people facing the consequences of their actions, but they all knew Dalton had framed Rocco. Rocco said he could stick it out for 24 hours. His dad said there would be bail hearing. Sonny said he wanted Rocco home for Thanksgiving. He wanted everybody to know that if they messed with Rocco, they messed with him.

Laura said she knew Martin was coming from a place of love and concern, but Sonny was a true friend. She knew if she was ever in trouble, she could call him, and he’d always come through for her. Martin said she should think about the stakes, when Dante came in. He said he thought she should know that Henry Dalton had gone missing.

Jason said he was going to keep coming back until she told him what was going on. She said he was going to pay the price, and he said he wasn’t going to let her pay the price anymore. There was a knock at the door and Britt opened it to Nathan, who asked if she’d seen or heard from Henry Dalton. She said, no. Why? Nathan said Dalton had disappeared.

Elizabeth said Lucas didn’t have to defend Sonny or support Marco, but stay neutral, and Lucas said it was a fair point. He wished Carly felt the same. She’d taken Sonny’s side and crossed a big line. Recently, she’d said Marco was just using him. Elizabeth said Carly was just worried, but he said she had no respect for his relationship or him.

Carly told Josslyn that she hated how it ended with her and Lucas. It wasn’t okay and she needed to make up. Josslyn asked how she was planning on doing it, but Carly said she didn’t know. She’d say she was sorry. Josslyn asked if she could make a suggestion, and Carly said she could. Josslyn said, maybe not ambush him at work. Give him a few minutes to figure it out. Carly said that was probably a good idea. Even though they disagreed and fought, she still loved Josslyn. Josslyn said she loved Carly too, and they hugged.

Jack said Vaughn had no idea what he was getting into. He’d overstepped with Dalton. A bunch of guys came out, and Jack told them to take care of Vaughn. Vaughn said, what’s going on? and Jack said he warned Vaughn not to pursue a relationship with Josslyn. This was what happened when people disobeyed his orders. Take him away. The guys dragged Vaughn out of the alleyway.

Tuesday:

At the hospital, Elizabeth told Michael that the doctor would be with him soon. If he was hoping to talk to Willow, she wasn’t there. She’d been put on administrative leave until after the trial. He said everything Elizabeth was doing for Willow spoke volumes about who she was as a person. Not many people would let Willow stay with them. She said, Willow wasn’t with her. She moved out.

Willow drug her suitcase into Drew’s house and looked at the photo of them on the mantel. Drew came out and said this was the best thing to happen to him in a long, long time. How did it feel being home?

At the PC Grill, Obrecht looked at The Invader headline, Professor Henry Dalton Files Charges Against the Mayor’s Son, when Nina joined her. Obrecht said Nina needed to use her editorial powers for good and do a story on Rocco and the gross miscarriage of justice from the PCPD.

On Lulu’s porch, Alexis told Danny that they were going to rehearse his and Charlotte’s statements. They needed to be flawless and consistent. Lulu said, once the statements were on record, they could leverage obstruction of justice charges at Dalton and free Rocco. Laura answered the door and said Charlotte had a test, but Lulu was picking her up. Alexis said, if all went well, Dalton would be finished for good.

Britt went to see Rocco and asked, what happened?

Outside the house, Lulu told Charlotte that her best bet to help Rocco was to do whatever Alexis said, and Charlotte said, anything for Rocco. Nathan came along and asked if Lulu had a second, but she said, not really, and asked if he wanted to come in. He said he couldn’t stay and neither could she.

At the station, Sonny found Turner in the interrogation room talking with an officer, and said he needed a private conversation with her. The officer left, and Turner asked how he thought it looked, a known criminal barging in and demanding a private meeting. Sonny said he didn’t care how it looked. He cared about his grandson and wanted him released now.

Charlotte went inside and Alexis asked, where was her mom? Charlotte said, outside talking with Detective West. It sounded important.

Lulu said she couldn’t leave, but Nathan said Rocco needed her now.

Rocco said he’d be fine, but Britt asked the guard if that was what they did around there, let an injured kid walk around. The guard said it was just a few cuts and bruises, and Britt said she was a doctor and wanted a first aid kit. If anything was infected, they were looking at a lawsuit. Rocco said she shouldn’t be nice to him since he’d stolen the key fob from her. That was how he got in the lab. They were just starting to know one another and he broke her trust. He was really sorry. She said none of it mattered and asked if it had been an officer or another kid, and he said, a kid. Sonny knew and would take care of it.

Turner said she couldn’t give preferential treatment to Rocco, and Sonny said his grandson had been roughed up, assaulted in the detention center. They both knew he shouldn’t be there in the first place. Fix it. Get Rocco out or he would.

Ava visited Sidwell, and he asked, to what did he owe the pleasure of this delightful surprise? Ava said her gallery just received a treasure trove of art that perfectly aligned with his taste, but he said he wasn’t in a mindset to discuss art. She asked if she could help with something else, and he asked if she knew of any piers for sale. She said she was sorry the ballot box hadn’t gone his way, and he said he wasn’t a gracious loser. Shed said nobody hated losing more than she did, but maybe there was a silver lining. Now that he and Sonny weren’t fighting over the piers, perhaps there was space for peace. He said he doubted Sonny had ever known peace or ever would.

Nina told Obrecht that it wasn’t the subject for Crimson, but Lulu was a respected journalist with connections to news organization. Plus, of course (🍷), she had access to the subject. Obrecht said, not at the moment. Rocco was in the juvenile detention center pending a bail hearing. He’d been targeted by this grandmother’s political rivals and their cronies, and she wouldn’t be a passive witness to injustice. Nina suggested she not do anything impulsive that would get him in more trouble, and Obrecht said, like Nina had done for Willow. Nina said Rocco had a village protecting him, but Willow had no one… except for Drew.

Willow said it felt strange, and Drew said now they could live the life they’d always dreamed of. She wondered how he could live there like nothing happened, and he said, the same way he met all challenges – thinking of her. She gave him strength. She asked if he wasn’t afraid someone would come back and finish the job.

(Okay, hear me out. What if Drew hired someone to do it? Someone who would know how to wound him without killing him, so he could pin it on Michael.)

Michael said, Willow moved back in with Drew, didn’t she? and Elizabeth told him that she’d said goodbye this morning. He said Drew probably pitched it as a good legal strategy. If the victim welcomed her back… Elizabeth said it would make a strong statement to the jury. She didn’t understand it, but Willow seemed to love Drew and believed he was her best chance to get her kids back. He wondered if she had a way to convince Willow otherwise, and she asked if he thought Willow could have access to the kids. She knew it was a sacrifice, but wasn’t it one worth making for the kids?

Turner said they’d established she didn’t take orders from Sonny and didn’t take kindly to threats. She was prosecuting Rocco’s case by the book. If she was going to take him down, she’d do it without using his grandson. Sonny said he’d given her the benefit of the doubt, and she used the photos Dalton came up with of his destroyed lab. They both knew he’d destroyed it himself to frame Rocco. What was the hold up? She said she’d been scheduled to question Dalton about the lab photos, but he didn’t show up and she was having a hard time locating him. Sonny flashed back to looking in Laura’s trunk, and Turner said it appeared Professor Dalton was missing.

Ava told Sidwell that Sonny’s current situation was a perfect example. He’d scored a victory with the election, then his grandson was arrested breaking into a lab at PCU. Sidwell said he hoped Rocco wasn’t too traumatized. Detention centers were not kind to men like him.

Britt asked Rocco what Sonny was going to do. Whack a 16-year-old? Rocco said he hoped not. Sonny would get into trouble. Britt said Sonny could take care of himself. In fact, she thought he was liable to make it worse. That’s why he had to get out of there. She told the guard to watch Rocco closely. If Rocco got so much as hangnail, they’d regret it. She left and the guard asked if she was Rocco’s mom, and he said, no. Just someone close to him.

Drew said Michael had put two bullets in his back and tried to rob him of his life and future with Willow and her kids. But he failed and Drew survived. Willow said the way he saw the world was one of the first things that made her fall in love with him, and he said if she had bad memories of the house, they could buy something new. What mattered most was that she felt safe. Willow said she was just overwhelmed, and he asked if she was having second thoughts about moving in or being with him at all.

Nina said she’d stopped by Elizabeth’s and Aiden told her that Willow moved back in with Drew, and Obrecht asked what was wrong with her that she kept going back. She’d been accused of his murder. Nina said Drew knew about Willow’s history of being controlled and used it against her, and Obrecht said, Willow was in her current position not only because of Drew, but because of Nina. She foisted an alibi on Willow, then reneged on it, and sold her out. Nina said it was because of Obrecht too. Obrecht made her think Willow was behind terrorizing Sasha. Obrecht said she still thought so, and Nina said, so she’d wrongly assumed Willow did it and tried to protect her. Obrecht said Nina made her look guiltier. Nina said there was something she’d done to try and save Willow that she actually did regret, and Obrecht said she had a feeling about that. Nina shot Drew, didn’t she?

Danny said they’d heard Professor Dalton was testing on animals, and Charlotte said they wanted to prove it, but needed access to the lab. Danny said, so they lifted a key fob and snuck in during the debate while the campus was distracted. They didn’t find any animals or cages or anything. Charlotte said they were careful not to touch anything, just some papers, and Danny said, but they put them right back. Dalton came in and they hid. Charlotte said she and Danny were about to get caught, when Rocco made a noise, and Danny said, and gave himself up. Charlotte said, to protect them, and Danny said, that’s when Dalton punched Rocco.

Nathan brought Lulu to the detention center to see Rocco, who swore he was okay, but Nathan said he didn’t think they could wait until the bail hearing. Rocco was being targeted for his connections and any time there was dangerous for him.

Sidwell apologized for Ava coming all that way to listen to him bemoan politics. He’d make it up to her. She said he could come to the gallery and look at the new pieces by Gavin Zeigler, and he said he’d be there. Britt came in and said she needed to speak to Sidwell, but he told her that it was impolite to barge in on the middle of his meeting. Britt said she wasn’t as ill-mannered as he thought. Ava was more than welcome to stay.

Turner told Sonny that the forensics analysis turned up no evidence to support Dalton’s accusations. She suspected that’s why he didn’t show up or answer her calls. Sonny said he knew he could use her to frame Rocco. Now she had proof. What now? She said, Dalton’s disappearance combined with Rocco being at risk was grounds for her to push for an immediate hearing, and she left.

Nina said she didn’t shoot Drew, even though she wanted to, and Obrecht asked what she’d meant. Nina said she’d betrayed a friend, Portia Robinson. Unfortunately, Willow’s defense hinged on pinning the crime on someone else. Obrecht said she assumed that would be Michael, and Nina said, another suspect could only help. Portia did have a motive, but the police didn’t know it. All she did was make sure the information got back to Alexis Davis. Portia’s friendship was valuable to her, and she may have thrown Portia under the bus for nothing. Apparently, Michael’s alibi wasn’t as iron clad as first assumed.

Michael said he respected what Elizabeth was saying, but he was there for his burn treatment, and he relived the whole thing at every appointment. Not just the fire and physical agony, but he was completely alone in Germany, which was its own kind of agony. Elizabeth said she was sorry, and Michael said Willow made no effort to visit him. She said, Willow did try to visit, but he said, one time, and Drew made sure they didn’t see each other. Willow wasn’t the one who set up the calls with his kids; Kristina was. Drew was the man Willow wanted to be with and went back to him no matter what. They could have each other, but not his kids. It wasn’t about keeping Willow away from Wiley and Amelia. It was about protecting them from Willow and Drew.

Willow said she wanted a future with Drew, but she was going to be found guilty. Michael’s father was so powerful, and Sonny and his connections controlled everything and everyone in town. Drew said Alexis was an incredible lawyer and she’d be exonerated. He loved her and loved Wiley and Amelia like his own, and thought she loved Scout the same way. She said she did, and he said he wanted a life with them desperately. That’s why he wanted to ask her – he went down on one knee – Willow Tate, will you marry me?

Alexis said Rocco didn’t tell her that Dalton punched him, and Danny said he was probably embarrassed. Laura asked if they were also embarrassed, and Danny said, kind of. Charlotte said they figured it was Rocco’s story to tell. They didn’t want to contradict him. They were afraid Dalton would lie more. Danny insisted they were telling the truth. Dalton hit Rocco in the stomach. When Dalton found out they knew, he’d realize the trouble he was in and drop the charges. Charlotte said, and Rocco could come home.

Lulu asked if Nathan thought Rocco had been targeted because of his connections to Dante, and he said, or Sonny or both. She said they couldn’t leave him, and Nathan said he had this. He told the guard that he was taking Rocco into custody and bringing him back to the PCPD. If his superiors had a problem with that, talk to ADA Turner.

Michael told Elizabeth that he’d tried every viable option – shared custody, supervised visits – and reached the same conclusion. It wasn’t Wiley and Amelia’s job to be their mother’s salvation. Willow had plenty of chances, but the truth was, she was where she was because of her choices. He thought his kids deserved better than a mother charged with attempted murder.

Willow asked if Drew was sure, and he said he’d never been more sure. No church wedding or big show. Just her, him, Scout, and the people who supported them. She said the list wasn’t long, and he said, so what? They’d show a united front, and it would lead to the charges being dropped. There was no better defense than having him as her husband. She’d be found innocent, and they’d be in a great place to win custody back. Willow said she’d been married before because of circumstances and wanted the next time to be for the right reason. He said it would be. It was going to help her case, but that wasn’t why he was asking her. He was asking her to marry him because he loved her. Didn’t she love him?

Sidwell told Ava that he was terribly sorry, but he had to deal with an irritating bit of business. He’d walk her out. He took Ava to the door, then went back to the living room. He told Britt to watch her step. It wasn’t the first time she’d barged in uninvited when he had company. She was getting sloppy and it wasn’t a good look. She saw what happened to Dalton and he doubted she wanted to suffer the same fate.

Laura asked if they were sure it was the story Charlotte and Danny wanted to go with, and Charlotte said it was the truth. Jason said if the cops caught them in a lie, it could blow up, and that wasn’t good for anyone, and Alexis told them, once they said it on the record, they’d have to live with it, for better or worse. Were they sure they didn’t want to change their minds? Danny said, for sure, and Alexis told them to stay there. She, Laura, and Jason went outside.

At the station, Sonny saw Rocco come in with Nathan and Lulu, and asked, what happened? Lulu said, Nathan happened, and Nathan said it was temporary until the bail hearing. Sonny said Turner was working on it, and Nathan told Rocco to wait in the interrogation room. Sonny asked if he could sit with Rocco, and Nathan said, of course (🍷). Lulu said she couldn’t thank Nathan enough. He was amazing, but she had to ask if he risked his job.

Ava asked if she could join Obrecht and Nina, and Obrecht said, sit. Ava said Obrecht’s daughter didn’t share her decorum, and Obrecht asked what Britt did now. Ava said she was in the middle of a sale and Britt barged in, forcing her client to end the meeting. Nina said, which client? and Ava said, Jenz Sidwell. Obrecht said he seemed to be a powerful man. Maybe Britt went to see if he could help Rocco. Ava said she understood. Sidwell was quite a powerful man and in a short time made himself quite a force in Port Charles.

Britt said Sidwell had to acknowledge that her father’s research would die with her if she didn’t finish. Only she could get the job done and didn’t need a timeline. She did admit she needed him, and not just for the medicine. She needed his help because Rocco was in danger. He asked if something happened to dear Rocco.

Britt said Rocco had been assaulted. Dalton was dead and there was no reason Rocco should still be locked up. Sidwell said it was ample reason to nudge Sonny and Mayor Collins along. Call it unforeseen repercussions for their failure to cooperate. She said, oh my God. He did this. He had Rocco attacked. He said he had eyes and ears everywhere and a long reach to go with them. It was in her best interest to remember that.

Nathan told Lulu, if there was fallout, there was fallout. He was supposed to be looking out for Rocco. Lulu said he did more than anyone. He kept his promise, and she couldn’t be more grateful. Turner came out and said she got a call from the juvenile detention center. They said Nathan had pulled Rocco out and said they could talk to her if the staff had a problem with it. Lulu asked if she was aware Rocco had been assaulted, and Nathan said he was doing her a favor. He made sure that people knew, even the kids she accused were protected from violence. She said she’d back him this time, but don’t do it again.

Rocco thanked Sonny for staying, when Turner came in. She said she got a bail hearing for later today and didn’t see it being denied. Rocco would sleep in his own bed tonight. He was lucky that a lot of people cared about him.

Outside, Alexis told Laura and Jason that the kids were so lying. They can’t go on record. It wouldn’t hold up and making a false statement was a crime. They could end up charged. Laura asked if it could wait until Lulu got back. She was sure Lulu would have a lot to say.

Danny told Charlotte that his dad could see in his head, and she said, maybe he could, but as long as the ADA believed them, they’d stick to the story. Alexis, Laura, and Jason came back, and Alexis said, listen up. They knew Charlotte and Danny were lying. It made no sense. Rocco would have told her if Dalton punched him. If they said Dalton had, they’d both face serious charges. Think about Scout. Danny said that’s all he’d been doing. What kind of role model would he be if he didn’t defend his brother?

Laura said they understood what the kids were trying to do, and Jason said it was reckless. Laura said, but they’d never have to go to court because Dalton was… Jason said, Dalton was nowhere.

Drew went to the Grill and sat down at Nina’s table. He said, what a treat running into them. He was inviting them to his place for a Thanksgiving celebration. He promised they didn’t want to miss it. Dessert was going be spectacular.

Willow found Elizabeth at the hospital and asked if she had any plans for Thanksgiving. Elizabeth said Cameron and Jake weren’t going to be home, and Aiden was going to see Lucky. Other than that, she’d been busy at work and hadn’t given it that much thought. Willow said she’d love for Elizabeth to come to Drew’s and be her maid of honor. (That would be matron, but letting it pass.) She showed Elizabeth her ring and said Drew asked her to marry him again and she said yes. Say she’ll come. Elizabeth said, of course (🍷), and they hugged. Michael watched from around the corner.

Wednesday:

Brook told Chase that Thanksgiving evoked the kitchen curse. There was no way they’d cook a successful turkey in this house.

Lulu brought Rocco home and said Charlotte and Danny were anxious to see him. She told him that she loved him.

At the gallery, Ava asked Trina if Jordan was interested in the pieces she’d shown her, but Trina said Jordan would be taking her business elsewhere, which was on her. She told Jordan that she’d make sure her dad never went back to her.

Stella met Curtis at the PC Grill, and he asked if she’d like to go to Café Cherie instead. She saw Martin and Drew sitting at the bar and said, not a chance. If anyone should leave with their tail between their legs, it was Drew.

Martin asked what was with the last-minute dinner, and Drew said he had some exciting news about him and Willow.

Obrecht went to Drew’s, and Willow asked what brought her by. Obrecht said she understood Willow was getting married, and Willow asked if Obrecht was there to change her mind.

At the station, Dante told Nathan that Rocco was on his way home. He knew Nathan caught flack for it, but he appreciated Nathan pulling Rocco out. It wasn’t easy seeing him like that. Nathan said Dante would have done the same for him. He was happy to help. Dante said Nathan was not only a good friend, but a good cop, and he wanted Nathan’s help on a case. He wanted to take another look at who shot Drew. Nathan asked, why?

Charlotte asked what they did to Rocco, and Rocco said, kind of badass, huh? Didn’t girls like scars? Danny said they liked tats, and Jason said they had to make sure he never had to go back. Danny said, Dalton was straight up lying about the lab, and Lulu told the kids to catch each other up while she and Jason talked.

Ava said she thought Trina and Jordan got along, but Trina said she’d realized that Jordan had been waiting in the wings, right there ready to exploit the weakness in her parents’ marriage. She told Jordan that she’d keep her father from going back to her. Ava said she could deal with losing a sale, and Trina said her father would listen to her. Ava said giving an ultimatum ran the risk of resentment, but Trina said she didn’t care. She resented her. Portia came in and said, resented who?

Nathan asked if the PCPD hadn’t done its thing, and Dante said it was more preemptive. Alexis was going to blame the PCPD for botching the investigation and he wanted to work on an effective counter argument. Nathan asked if Chase wouldn’t be a better choice to help, but Dante said he wanted Chase to be as far away from the case as possible.

Willow asked if Obrecht was going to tell her that she was making a huge mistake, but Obrecht said that wasn’t why she was there. Drew wouldn’t be her first choice for Willow’s life, but she wasn’t there to criticize. Willow was family and even if she didn’t agree with Willow’s decision, Willow still had her support. Willow thanked her, and Obrecht said Willow should thank her mother for talking sense into her.

Martin congratulated Drew and asked, when is the big day? Drew said, Thanksgiving. They were keeping it simple, just close friends and family. He hoped Martin could make it. Martin said, sure, and Drew asked if he was willing to officiate. Martin said he felt it was his duty to ask if it wasn’t an ill-conceived idea to bolster Willow’s look at the trial, and Drew said he thought it would have a good effect on the jury, but he loved Willow and couldn’t wait to make her his wife. Martin said, after everything that happened, he didn’t think Drew would win Willow back, and Drew said he always got what he wanted. Martin said, except Measure C, and Drew said he had everything he really wanted. Now he was concentrating on revenge against those who’d crossed him.

Chase said he was ready to take on the challenge, and Brook said Groundhog Day was underrated. She’d suggested Olivia give up and get a pizza oven. He said he thought he could make a great turkey, but she said it had been 30 years since an edible turkey had been served on Thanksgiving. He said the two of them could conquer everything and he wanted to do something nice for everyone. Michael came in, and Brook said they were talking about the possibility of cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Michael asked if it wouldn’t be easier to get a pizza oven, but Brook said maybe they could finally pull it off this year. She asked if Michael wanted to help, but he said he and Chase shouldn’t be together in a room full of knives.

Curtis said if Stella was going to give Drew the stink eye all night, it wouldn’t be a good time. They might as well leave. Stella told him to distract her with something more important. How were things with him and Portia? Did they reconcile yet?

Trina hugged Portia and asked what she was doing there. Portia said she was hoping Trina could have dinner with her. Ava was welcome to join them. Ava said she had things to finish up, and Trina said she was sorry, but she had plans with her dad and Aunt Stella. Did Portia want to come? Portia said it was sweet of her to offer, but she thought it best if she didn’t go. Have fun and tell them that she won’t be able to make dinner on Thanksgiving. Dr. Randolph needed to see her father. He wasn’t doing well and she was covering for her. Trina asked if that was how it was going to be from now on, that her parents couldn’t be in the same room. Portia said, of course (🍷) not, but Trina said she felt like her family was being torn apart. Portia said that would never happen. They’d always work together to do what was right by her. Trina said she knew they were trying, but she was worried she’d lose one of them, and Portia said, that would never happen. They hugged, and Ava flashed back to Nina telling her about throwing Portia under the bus as a possible suspect.

Dante said Chase had a bias about Willow and he wanted to look at other suspects, and Nathan asked where they should start. Dante suggested they start with Michael.

Brook said Chase had nothing against believing Michael was a cold blooded killer, and Chase said he believed Willow was innocent, but had to be objective. Michael said Chase believed he knew Willow so well, and Chase said he did. Michael said then it should come as no surprise that she and Drew were getting married on Thanksgiving.

Willow asked if Obrecht meant Nina, and Obrecht said she and Nina were together when Willow’s fiancé ran in to share the news. Initially, she was less than thrilled. Willow said she was sure Nina felt the same way, and Obrecht said she did, but after Drew left, she had a moment and realized the most important thing was that Willow was happy. Was she happy? Willow said, of course (🍷), and Obrecht said Willow’s mother believed they should support her wholeheartedly. Willow said she appreciated the gesture and asked Obrecht to thank Nina. Obrecht said she could thank Nina herself. Wasn’t it time she made amends with her mother?

Outside, Jason asked if Lulu told the kids, but she said, not a word, and she was told not to bring them in to give their statement. Turner was supposed to question Dalton, but he didn’t show up. The police went to PCU and the MetroCourt, but there was no sign of him. Jason said, he took off, and she said, possibly. She wondered if Sonny had something to do with it.

Nathan said Michael had the strongest motive and weakest alibi. He had access to the weapon and access to the room Willow was staying in at Elizabeth’s house. Dante said, Anna issued a warrant the next day, and Nathan said, she found the gun. Michael had motive, a weak alibi, and access to the weapon. He had the opportunity to plant the weapon and a motive to do it. There was a lot they couldn’t ignore. Dante said Alexis was going to point in Michael’s direction, but Nathan said, if Michael and Jacinda stuck to their story, she wouldn’t get anywhere. And Nina didn’t do Willow any favors by giving a fake alibi. Dante said the security footage showed Nina as being at her apartment at the time Drew was shot. Unless she found another way out. Nathan said Nina would have told them to protect Willow. He thought Nina was a long shot.

Willow asked how she could forgive Nina, and Obrecht said her mother loved her. Willow said Nina had a pattern. She screwed up, begged forgiveness, then screwed up again. Obrecht said if Willow had no forgiveness for those who made mistakes, married life wasn’t for her, and Willow said she was tired of it. Obrecht said she understood Nina made mistakes, but Willow was acting like an ungrateful, petulant child. From the moment Nina found out Willow was her daughter, Nina had done nothing but love her. Nina had made mistakes, but fought for her and protected her and stood by her side. Yet Willow could turn her back on Nina even when she admitted she was wrong. That’s not how family worked. It was time for her to make amends with her mother. There was a knock at the door, and Obrecht said, now was her chance. She opened the door to Nina.

Michael said he’d overheard Willow invite Elizabeth to the wedding, and she was sporting Lila’s engagement ring. Brook said she was sorry. It was appalling. Chase said, it wasn’t Willow’s idea. It was Drew’s.

Trina left, and Portia told Ava that she heard Trina say she resented her. Was she talking about her or Jordan?… Never mind. Ava said she promised it wasn’t Portia, and Portia said they both knew that could change quickly if it turned out that Curtis wasn’t the father. She wasn’t telling anyone until after her first trimester. Because of her age, she wanted to take things one step at a time and wasn’t getting a paternity test until then. She was afraid of losing Trina. Ava said there was something else that could end up separating her from her daughter.

Curtis said he and Portia were going through with the divorce, and Stella said, even with a child on the way? He said they’d co-parent, but she said it wasn’t the same. He showed her the sonogram and said, check this out, and she said she could hear the love and joy in his voice. He said he missed out when Portia was pregnant with Trina. This was a whole new experience. She said that’s why they needed to stay married, so he didn’t miss out on his child’s life for one moment.

Martin said Michael was still at the top of Drew’s revenge list, and Drew said he wished he’d claimed to remember Michael shooting him, but he’d waited too long. Martin said now that Willow had been arrested, the court would assume he was protecting her, and Drew said he could have spared her the trial. Martin said Alexis was doing everything she could, and Drew said, she’d better or she wouldn’t see her grandchild. Martin said Alexis was a damn fine attorney. She believed in her clients and believed in proving their innocence. Drew said he’d feel better if Martin was her co-counsel, but Martin said Alexis was a one-woman show. They best thing was to step back and let her do her thing. Drew said if it went wrong, he’d hold the both of them responsible, and Martin said the best wedding present Drew could give Willow was hiring Alexis, but Drew said the best wedding present would be Willow’s freedom and getting her children back. That included putting Michael behind bars. Once he achieved those goals, he could focus on the other people who’d made the mistake of crossing him.

Charlotte thanked Rocco for saving them, but said he needed to think out the ramifications. He was the grandson of the mayor and Sonny Corinthos. The media might be harsher on him than Dalton. Rocco said it was the right thing and he’d do it again, including breaking into the lab. Charlotte said, even though they’d found no proof? and Rocco said, it was kind of exciting. Danny said, it was pretty good, and Charlotte said, until they got caught, but Rocco said, admit it. She was thrilled. She said, it was pretty cool.

Jason asked if that was Lulu’s way of asking if Sonny had Dalton killed. He could assure her that Sonny didn’t. Lulu said that was a relief, but if Dalton had just run off, that meant he could pop back up anytime.

Chase said Drew put the ring on Willow, and Michael said, and she accepted and agreed to marry his uncle. Brook said, Willow just forgave him? She didn’t know what Willow was thinking, but it wasn’t good. Michael said, unless Willow loved Drew or thought it made her look innocent. Maybe both. He didn’t give a damn anymore. Brook said he had a point. What if it was a ploy for Willow to stay out of prison?

Obrecht said she’d told Nina to wait in the car, and Willow said, so Obrecht could butter her up? Nina said she told Obrecht this was a bad idea. She’d just go. Obrecht said they needed to work things out before the wedding, and Nina said Drew had invited them, but if Willow didn’t want her to go, she wouldn’t. Willow asked why she’d want to come. Nina hated that she was with Drew and hated Drew. She’d hired a hooker to drug Drew to break them up. Nina said that was true, but she’d learn to accept it if it meant she could be a part of Willow’s life again. She missed Willow. If Willow could find it in her heart to forgive her, she guaranteed she’d disappoint Willow again, but promised she’d love and support her for the rest of her life, no matter what. Just give her another chance.

Ava said Nina told her in confidence, but she felt justified telling Portia, since Nina broke hers first. Nina’s alibi fell apart and she was desperate to get the heat off her daughter. So she decided to shine the light on an alternative suspect. Portia asked if Nina knew about Drew blackmailing her.

Trina joined Curtis and Stella and said the Thanksgiving shopping was done. They were prepared for tomorrow. Stella thanked her, and Trina said, of course (🍷). Stella said she still didn’t know how many she was cooking for and asked if Trina’s mother was coming. Trina said her mother had to work and wanted her to say she was sorry, and Stella said, remember to take her a plate. Curtis said she’d be missed, but especially at this time of year, they should focus on their blessings, and Trina said, all they had was each other. That was no guarantee a couple of months ago. She was scared they were going to lose Stella when she was targeted for fraud. Stella said she knew whose fault it was. Drew used the power of his office to target her family, and she thought it was way past time she said something.

Martin said Drew still had a grudge against Curtis, when Stella approached them. She said, good evening, Congressman Cutthroat. How many lives do you plan on destroying this evening?

Michael left, and Chase said he was under the impression that Brook was considering the possibility that Michael might be guilty. She said she changed her mind. It happened yesterday at the hospital. She was worried about her dad and Michael stopped by. He was supportive about Rocco, Gio, her dad, all of it. She told him that she wished she could reach out to Gio. The way Dante had spoken to him was horrible. Michael called Gio to come to the hospital so they could talk. Chase asked how it went, and she said, better than she could have imagined. Gio finally understood her choice to give him up and a weight lifted off of her. For him too. He called her mom. He said, thanks, mom, and she thought her heart would burst. Chase hugged her.

Willow said she was telling Aunt Liesl that she gave Nina chance after chance, and she kept screwing it up. But she’d also made a few mistakes, and Nina stood by her through all of them. Nina said she always would if Willow let her, and Willow said, that’s what family did. And since they were family, maybe they could work on having a relationship. Nina said she would be so grateful, and Willow said she wasn’t sure she could ever fully trust Nina or that they would be as close as they once were, but she was willing to overlook that part. The truth was, she missed Nina too.

Portia said she couldn’t believe Nina betrayed her, and Ava said Nina didn’t actually say she threw Portia under the bus and didn’t go to the cops. Portia asked if Ava thought it was her, and Ava said if she had to guess, it was. Nina said she felt terrible. Portia said she didn’t give a damn. She thought they were friends and in this together. She trusted Nina. Ava said she was sorry. She felt partly responsible for putting them in touch with each other. Nina didn’t know why Drew was blackmailing Portia or that she tampered with Heather Webber’s test results. Portia said it didn’t matter. The police would figure it out. They’d question Drew and Brad if they could find him. She’d lose her job and career and be arrested for attempted murder. What if she was convicted? She couldn’t give birth in prison.

Nathan said, what about Carly? and Dante said, Drew and Michael ran Aurora together and she’d have access to the Quartermaine estate on occasion. Nathan said, what about framing Willow? and Dante said, it was possible. Nathan said, Carly had access to the weapon and confessed to Anna that she’d wanted to kill Drew. Framing Willow was a no-brainer. Dante said Carly had been in Elizabeth’s house before they found the gun, and Nathan said you’d think her alibi of being with the WSB Bureau Chief was a slam dunk, but Dante said, not when it was her boyfriend. Nathan said they also had Tracy and Sonny, but Tracy saved Drew’s life, and he thought Dante’s dad would be smarter than that. Dante said it wasn’t the right direction. So what was Nathan’s take? Nathan said he thought the investigation was comprehensive. Carly and Michael were question marks, and he thought they should take a look at Curtis.

Martin told Stella that it wasn’t the time to have this conversation, while at the table, Trina asked if Curtis thought they should stop her, but he said, no. Let her cook. Drew said Stella didn’t want to cause a scene, and she said just because she didn’t want to, didn’t mean she wouldn’t. She had nothing to be embarrassed about, but he should crawl up under the bar in shame. He’d abused his power of office to get her investigated by the government and threatened with prison. It was completely and utterly corrupt, and he did it all to get back at her nephew. Drew said his understanding was that she was the one who was accused of corruption and fraud, but he understood when you reached a certain age, things got confusing. Stella lunged for him, but Martin held her back and said they regretted the misunderstanding. The government overstepped and they were wrong. Clearly, the situation had been resolved. Couldn’t they let bygones be bygones? Stella said, as a friend, she asked him to reconsider working for this snake. Drew destroyed everything he touched. She didn’t believe Willow shot him, but she was in this mess because half the town was outraged by him. Drew asked if she was saying it was his fault, and she said, a smarter man would have changed his ways, but he was just as despicable as ever. She wasn’t surprised someone shot his ass. He deserved it. Curtis approached and asked if she’d like to come back to the table. She told him that she had nothing more to say to this sorry excuse for a man. She didn’t want to ruin her appetite. Drew suggested Curtis remind his aunt that investigations could be reopened.

Charlotte said no one could find Dalton, and Danny said he hoped Dalton was gone for good. Charlotte said if Dalton couldn’t testify, there was no case and Rocco was in the clear.

Jason told Lulu, even with Dalton gone, they had to face reality. The kids had strong connections to Sonny, Britt, and Valentin, who all had a long list of enemies that wouldn’t hesitate to use them. Lulu said the kids had targets on their backs. They had to keep them safe.

Chase said he was happy for Brook and knew how much it meant to her. Brook said it gave her hope that she and Gio could have a relationship, and it was all because of Michael. Chase said he’d been so focused on Willow’s innocence, he’d forgotten how kind and caring Michael could be and how Michael was there for Brook when he wasn’t. It was a reminder to keep his priorities straight. She was the most important thing. He hoped she believed that. She said, of course (🍷) she did, and he was her number one priority. Just to prove it, she’d help him roast the turkey. But just in case, there was a new pizza place that was supposed to be great.

Nina said it would be a fresh start, and Willow said, in that case, she hoped Nina would come to the wedding. Nina said she’d be there. Obrecht said, now they had something to truly celebrate, and they had a three-way hug.

Nathan said Nina told him there was a way to prove Michael wasn’t with Jacinda when Drew was shot, and Dante said, if that happened, Michael would go to the top of the suspect list. Nathan suggested they look at Curtis.

Ava said no one was looking at Portia, but Portia said, what if they did? and Ava said she’d answer questions – with a lawyer, of course (🍷). Nina didn’t know what the blackmail was about, but Portia should be prepared. Portia said she appreciated the warning. Ava was a true friend, unlike Nina. Because of Nina, she might have to account for her whereabouts, which would land her in a different kind of trouble.

Dante said, why Curtis? and Nathan said he was an ex-cop and a P.I. and would know how to cover his tracks. He also couldn’t account for his whereabouts. Dante said he’d been at the Brown Dog with Jordan, but Nathan said, supposedly, he’d been in his office alone at the time Drew was shot. Dante said, personally, he felt like Curtis had the weakest motive, and Nathan said he didn’t know Curtis well enough to tell about the business angle, but the investigation into his aunt was personal. While he didn’t admit it, they knew Drew was behind it. Then, after the shooting, the investigation went away. Maybe something else was going on. Dante said, maybe Nathan was right. They should take another look at Curtis’s alibi.

Trina said, that was intense, and Stella said it felt good to give Drew a piece of her mind. But then she started to wonder if she was provoking him. Curtis said, don’t worry. He’d protect his family from Drew by any means necessary.

Martin said if Stella wasn’t off Drew’s revenge list, he couldn’t work for him, but Drew promised not to go after her. Besides, she’d suffer enough when he destroyed her beloved nephew. Martin asked if he thought Curtis shot him, and Drew said, absolutely, especially after the blackmail he had on Curtis’s wife magically disappeared. Michael needed to be the one to go down for it though. As for Curtis, he’d find another way to make him pay.

🫔 No enchilada this week because GH is not on Thursday or Friday.

Next week, Drew and Willow’s wedding day and Thanksgiving in Port Charles.

💉 A Dose Of Reality…

Below Deck Mediterranean

In Max’s interview, he worried that he’d made a mistake hooking up with Kizzy, since he liked Cathy better. I just can’t. Guest Imran quickly sets the tone by saying the crew are their servants, so karma docked the yacht due to huge swells. No surprise, this prompts Imran to tell Captain Sandy how to drive. In Kizzy’s interview, she said there was something about Cathy that didn’t feel real. Nobody actually did their job was that perfect.  Cathy made her feel small, and she hated that someone had the power to do that to her. Once again, Nathan floundered as a bosun, and Captain Sandy told him to get his sh*t together. She was pissed.

Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

The group went to lunch, sans Britani, and asked Lisa and Meredith, WTF? Lisa said she’d just vented to a friend and suddenly she was the bad guy, and Meredith acted like she didn’t know what they were talking about. As usual, everybody was concerned about everybody else, instead of looking in the mirror. Lisa met with Britani and apologized. She suggested they move on with respect and dignity, and I nearly choked on my coffee.

Southern Charm

The show began with Craig having a massive hangover and saying he never had a healthy relationship with alcohol while he was single. We flashed back to him being a mean drunk, proving his point. It looks like this show is starting to get like Below Deck Med with all the crossover romancing. Yeah, let’s call it romancing. Even after watching it twice, I still wasn’t sure who wanted to zoom who. Apparently, Salley is into Craig, who is feuding with Venita. Venita said Salley didn’t know what a girl’s girl was, but she probably doesn’t need to worry, since Craig is clueless. Failing to see his opportunity one night in a hot tub, in their respective interviews, Shep said Craig wasn’t that aggressive of a dater, and Austen said Craig was a p*ssy. Rodrigo was worried that it would be Venita vs Craig again and Salley would side with Craig. In Rodrigo’s interview, he said if he was wrong, he’d eat one of Craig’s pillows. He didn’t want Venita getting hurt.  Shep tried teach Austen to surf, and Salley had a bring-a-single-friend singles party. Austen’s girlfriend Audrey came for a visit, and in Madison’s interview, she said Austen was with Audrey because he knew it was the only way to better himself, but he really wanted something to light a fire under his ass. Austen said he liked it long distance, but Audrey seemed more interested in settling down. He began his wishy-washy act with her, so I predict they won’t be together much longer.

This was the best I could find at the time of posting.

Vanderpump Rules: Raise Your Glass to 11 Seasons was a filler for Bravo’s Thanksgiving week. Not that I minded because, LVP. While Andy did some chatting with her and talked between segments, it was mostly scenes from VanderDays gone by. There was also some never-before-seen footage and a sneak peek at the next generation at SUR.

👀 Last Weekend’s Watch…

The Green Book: Guide to Freedom. Paramount+. A travel guide published by Black postal worker Victor Huge Green from 1936 to 1967, it listed the establishments that welcomed Black people. My only beef with this film was that it wasn’t long enough. Eventually listing more than 9,500 hotels, restaurants, etc., they only showed the tip of the iceberg and I would have loved to see more. In a rare moment of actually hearing me, my husband got me a reprint of the book for my birthday.

Zombie Apocalypse. Amazon Prime. This is a fun zombie apocalypse romp, nothing you have to put a lot of thought into. A group of survivors are making their way across the country to get to Catalina led by Ving Rhames (one of my favorites). While that’s incentive enough to watch it, the bonus of a zombie tiger didn’t make me mad.

https://slate.com/culture/2011/10/zombies-the-zombie-boom-is-inspired-by-the-economy.html

Otherlife. Amazon Prime. A film about a revolutionary new drug that lets you slip into virtual reality, and in a surprise to no one, the government decides to use it for their own supposed gain. As usual, where technology could and should be used for good, instead it poses a whole new set of problems. I thought this wasn’t bad and the critics seemed to love it, but personally, I found it dragged in spots.

Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy. Netflix. A film all about how we shop, why we shop, what we shop for, and how they get us to buy it. There wasn’t much I didn’t already know, but I love documentaries like this, so I really enjoyed it. It also made me rethink dumpster diving.

🥀 Farewell Dear Count…

Aww. He was so purdy back in the day. I saw his Flesh for Frankenstein in 3-D, along with Blood for Dracula (both Andy Warhol films), at a revival house and laughed at inappropriate moments. RIP to a legend.

🦃 Loving a Parade…

Everything you need to know about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Believe me, you’re better off watching it on TV, especially this year when it’s going to be windy and freezing. The first year I was in NYC, I went to see it. Not only did I have to get out there at 6 am, I thought I’d never be warm again. I did have one year when the office I worked for overlooked the route and we watched it from there while sipping mimosas and noshing on bagels. If you can do that, by all means, go.

🥢 Weekday Bites…

Monday:

At the MetroCourt, Chase told Brook that he thought it was time to get the ball rolling and adopt.

At the pool, Emma told Gio to give her back the master key, but he said he couldn’t let her break into the lab. He’d have to be the one to do it.

Obrecht was at the pier when Anna showed up. She said, good evening, Scarecrow. So we meet again.

Pascal followed Britt to her room and says he was speaking to a potential guest. He told her that he wasn’t giving her the keys to her car. She shoved her glass at him and said, then get her a decent drink. This is garbage. He said he was aware of her importance, but even his patience had limits, and she said, he wanted to keep her happy and she wasn’t happy.

Jack gave Josslyn a passport and she read, Kelsie Ann McDonald. He said she didn’t have time to change her name, and she said, Chris and Kelsie. Cute. He said, she and Vaughn would be leaving separately and meeting in New York, where they’d travel to The Five Poppies. It was a recon op, and they were not to engage or take down anybody. He wanted a complete report on the grounds, the security set-up, and the tracking of the staff’s movements. She said she was going to look for her mom and tell her about going to Australia, but his phone rang, and he said he just saved her a search.

Ric met Molly at the MetroCourt and said he was surprised she had no plans. Wasn’t Ava available? He said he had no idea what Ava was up to.

Ava thanked Alexis for seeing her, and Alexis said she always made time for her extortionists. Ava said she was going to do Alexis a huge favor, and Alexis asked if she and Ric were giving the money back. Ava said it should have stayed between her and Alexis, but unfortunately, there was a third party muddying the waters. She thought they had to do something about that.

Molly asked if Ric and Ava were going rough patch, and he said, kind of, but he’d rather talk to her about her new, exciting life. She said she’d gotten back to writing, and he asked if he could read anything. She said it was too early. She was just jotting down ideas. He asked what inspired her, and she said she didn’t know why she’d stopped. When Sam died, she needed an outlet and got an interesting story idea when she went on an unexpected horseback ride.

Kristina found Cody in a hospital examining room and asked if something was wrong. He said he had a mole that needed to be checked out and asked how bad it looked. He showed her his back, and she said, it looked like a freckle. He said she wasn’t a professional, when Elizabeth came in and told him that the dermatologist was on their way. She left, and Kristina said she hoped them being together didn’t come back to bite them, but Cody said he had bigger things to worry about.

Carly told Jack that she was done with work and asked if he’d like to join her for a nightcap at the MetroCourt. He said he’d love to and would be right there. He told Josslyn that she knew where to find Carly now, and Josslyn left.

Brook told Chase that she was sorry, but she didn’t think she was ready to adopt. Her focus needed to be on repairing her relationship with Gio.  Chase said Gio hadn’t been receptive to her efforts, and she said she was giving him space, but she couldn’t give up. He said, maybe while she was waiting, they could start their own search for adoption. They knew it could be lengthy. She said, and all-consuming. She wanted to put her heart and soul into it, but couldn’t at the moment. He asked if she couldn’t until she’d worked things out with Gio, and she said, no, but she thought it was important to make progress with Gio before they adopted. He already thought she gave him up because she didn’t want him. If they adopted, Gio might think she was trying to replace him. He said, Gio had turned his back on her, but she said she didn’t want to drive him further away.

Emma said it was her idea, but Gio said Dalton would be expecting to see her front and center. That’s why he needed to be the one to break in. She said it could end up on his record, but he said it would only be his first offense. She had priors and her grandmother would be furious. She said her grandmother might see it as the final straw and kick her out or send her back home to her parents, and he said, that can’t happen. She said it was worth the risk to her, but he said that was another reason she had to let him do it. He had a lot less to lose.

Anna said Dante told her that Obrecht was in town, and Obrecht said she assumed Dante explained that Britt’s son contacted her. Anna said he was Dante and Lulu’s son, and Obrecht said, genetically, but he was the last living connection she had to Britt. Anna said Obrecht must miss her, and Obrecht said, every waking minute. When Britt wasn’t in her dreams, she woke up feeling cheated. Her rage, anguish, and torment must be like Anna’s was when she and Faison took Robin. Britt was coming back to her the night of the attack, so she thought she’d come back here to share Britt’s last steps before she suffered the injury that took her life and remember Britt’s final act of heroism.

Pascal told Britt that he’d have another drink sent up. Anything else? Britt said, tell their mutual friend that she’d like to speak to him as soon as possible, but Pascal said, he was busy. She said she assumed that’s why he hadn’t returned her phone calls. He needed to be told that Greta had to go back to Port Charles and make another exchange. The data was incomplete, and she couldn’t do anything more. Do what he needed to get what she needed. Pascal left.

Josslyn found Carly at the bar, and said she wanted to go to Australia for a bit. Carly asked if she was going to see her dad, and Josslyn said, yeah, but mostly Mrs. Walker, her grandma’s friend. She’d received a message that Mrs. Walker fell and broke her hip. She had no family or friends there and needed help at the ranch, so she was flying out tomorrow. Carly asked, for how long? and Josslyn said, a few weeks until she could find a caregiver. Carly asked if her dad couldn’t take care of Mrs. Walker, but Josslyn said she didn’t trust him to check in on her in person. Carly said, what about her internship? but Josslyn said Mrs. Walker had meant so much to Lady Jane. In a way, she was doing this for her. Carly said it was kind of sudden. What was really going on?

Anna said she and Jason had been talking about Britt, and Obrecht asked if Jason told her that he thought he saw Britt at de Gaulle. Anna said, he did, and Obrecht said, even though it was his imagination, it was comforting. Anna said, Jason cared for Britt, and Obrecht said she believed that. It was no wonder he thought he saw her. She saw Britt often herself, in crowded rooms or on the street. Britt was with her all the time. Anna said, their children were always a part of them, and Obrecht said she wished she’d been a better mother. She was so hard on Britt and consumed by her father. All he did was demand more, and at what cost? Anna said Obrecht and Britt had a good relationship at the end, but Obrecht said it took too long for her to figure out how to love Britt. She’d wasted the time on Cesar that she should have spent with her daughter. No one knew him better than they did. Not seeing it sooner was her biggest regret, and she had many. Anna asked if she was referring to something specific, and Obrecht said, her daughter. As she neglected Britt to devote time to Cesar, Anna abandoned Robin for her devotion to the WSB.

Josslyn said, Mrs. Walker needed help, and Carly said there was no one for her to rely on in all of Australia, including Josslyn’s father. What was really going on? Josslyn said she’d been thinking about what Carly said about Vaughn, that maybe he wasn’t the best idea. She liked spending time with him, but he was older and more serious about things than she was. The job wasn’t anything close to what she’d thought it would be like, and as for Vaughn, maybe physical distance would help her figure out what she wanted. It had been a rough year. Carly said Josslyn sounded grown up and mature. Her decision to step back and reevaluate her choices was a good idea. She’d miss Josslyn, but of course (🍷) supported her and was proud of her. They hugged and Josslyn said she had to start packing. Jack arrived and asked where Josslyn was going.

Ric asked if the story was a romance or a courtroom thriller or a western. Molly flashed back to having a beer with Cody at the pool and then Cody finding her romance book. She said, it started out as a romance, but the heroine realized she didn’t need a man to be happy. Don’t tell anyone about it, especially Ava. He said he didn’t anticipate confiding in Ava anytime soon, and she said he could do so much better than Ava. Elizabeth came in and said she was supposed to meet a friend, but they bailed. She had a quick question for Ric. Molly said she had to check her voicemail and stepped away, and Ric asked what he could do for Elizabeth.

Cody told Kristina that, in medical terminology, he had an ephelis – a freckle. It was Molly’s fault. Kristina said Molly was just mad, and Cody said that wasn’t nice. He thought she said he was doing Molly a favor by seducing Ava away from her father. Maybe they should forget it. What was the point if he and Molly weren’t friends? Kristina said, gallantry, but he said he didn’t do gallantry. She said, how about an extra 10,000? and he said, done. She said, in exchange, he had to work faster.

Alexis said, Ric was the problem? and Ava said Alexis’s ex was driven by his personal animosity toward Alexis and making emotional decisions made her uneasy. He refused to see the risk to all of them, and if they kept going, it was going to blow up in their faces, unless she did something to change it. Just one final payment of 1.5 million. If they worked together, Ric would no longer have a say in any of this.

Alexis said she took it that Ric wouldn’t see that money, and Ava said it would go to an account only she had access to. When that was done, it was all done, the blackmail, the embezzlement, and Ric. Alexis said, one more would be too big. They should close up shop now. Someone already noticed. Laura had been asking questions. Ava said if it was off by one decimal point, tell Laura that she made one final investment, and Alexis said, what guarantee did she have that Ava wouldn’t come back? Ava asked if this was a good answer, and showed her a key.

Elizabeth thanked Ric for helping Willow pro bono, and he said he felt for her. Elizabeth said, she ignored his advice and saw Michael. It did not go well. She wondered if it would count against Willow, but he said it depended. Was there security footage of another meltdown in her wedding dress? Elizabeth said, no, and he said, a visit, even a bad one, wouldn’t do more damage, but could she convince Willow to take his advice? She said she’d do her best, and he said Willow had to be more generous, kind, and loving. She needed to model Elizabeth’s behavior. To impress the judge, Willow had to be more like her.

Chase said he got Brook’s concern. He’d talk to Gio and make sure he knew he wasn’t being replaced. Brook said she didn’t think Gio would believe Chase, and he asked how long they had to put their plans on hold. Months? Years? She told him that it was hard to say. It all depended on Gio. It was all a matter of timing. It was a huge decision. He said he thought they’d already made that decision together. Did she not want to start a family with him anymore?

Gio said he was alienated from his family and told Emma not to risk her relationship to hers. She said, if they were upset, she’d find a way to survive. She’d get a job. He said, at the risk of sounding like a hypocrite, don’t turn her back on her family, and she said he did sound like a hypocrite, but he said his family lied to him. She had a good relationship with her family. She needed to promise to keep this between them, but he missed his family. Before he found out, he loved Lois and thought she was the coolest aunt ever. She asked if he missed the Q’s, and he said he missed conversations with Ned about music, and as mad as he was at Brook, he missed her too. Emma asked why he didn’t reach out, but he said he wasn’t sure he’d ever be ready at this point. Don’t be so quick to write off her family. Being apart from them hurt like hell.

Britt looked at a photo of Obrecht and Rocco on Obrecht’s social media, and said, Ben, look how big you are. She looked at a picture of her and baby Rocco, when her phone rang. She said, the big boss himself. Nice of him to finally call… Yes, she does, a huge problem.

Anna said Obrecht wasn’t wrong. She abandoned Robin to prioritize her job time and again, and she’d always regret it. Obrecht said she shortchanged her daughter for the greater good, at least in theory, and Anna said she’d like to think she did good. The older she got, the less she could justify the things she did as an agent, even if it was her duty. Obrecht said that’s how they did it. They lured idealistic young people saying they could save the world. It was about money and power, but the recruits couldn’t tell the difference between an optimist and an opportunist. Anna thought she was oversimplifying it, but Obrecht said it had the ring of truth. If Anna could go back and talk to her younger self, what would she say? Anna said, choose another job. This one is going to cost more than you can bear to lose.

Kristina told Cody that the momentum had shifted in their favor and he could push the advantage tonight. Her mom said Ava was at her office. If he hurried, he could get over there and bump into her. He asked why he’d be going to Alexis’s office, and she asked if he wasn’t always in trouble with the law. He said, no. Okay. He’d come up with a non-criminal legal question, something about an illegal-ish card game. Kristina said, then do his charm thing. Suggest they have a drink. He said he was on his way, but he didn’t now why he was bothering since Molly seemed mad at him. Kristina said Molly had been super sensitive since she’d broken up with TJ. She was sure it had nothing to do with him. He said, but it felt personal.

Ava said, after the last payment, the key belonged to Alexis. It was the key to the storage space where she’d stashed Ric’s car. She’d get rid of the security footage, and there would be no more proof that Kristina had tried to kill her and no more blackmail or Ric either. Alexis said Ric could still cause problems for both of them, but Ava said Ric’s hands were dirty. He couldn’t go to the cops. Alexis said she thought Ava underestimated Ric’s imagination, but Ava said Alexis underestimated hers. Alexis said, if she did this, it would put an end to all of it? Okay. Ava had herself a deal. They shook hands.

Brook said she hadn’t changed her mind. She wanted to raise a child with Chase, eventually. When they did, she hoped their child would have two loving parents and an adoring big brother, but right now, they weren’t in the right place. She knew she was asking a lot. Was he okay with waiting? He said he could wait, and she thanked him. He looked at his phone and said it was the station. He had to take it. They exchanged I love yous and he left.

Emma said Gio made his point. The optimal outcome was to stop Dalton without wrecking her relationship with her family. Gio told her to go to the lecture. He’d break in. Josslyn came by and asked to talk to Emma, and Gio left. Josslyn said something unexpected came up and she had to go to Australia. She emailed Dalton and resigned as his assistant. Emma said, of course (🍷) she did. The job never meant anything to her. Josslyn said Dalton would reach out and offer Emma the position and she was telling her, do not take it.

Anna asked what Obrecht would say to her younger self, and Obrecht said she’d tell herself not to fall in love megalomaniac Danish terrorists. Anna said she’d tell Obrecht that nothing mattered more than their children. They had to be held on to and loved above all others. Give them her heart as long as she possible could. Obrecht said, okay, and left.

Carly told Jack that Josslyn was taking off with good reason. She was going to put distance between her and the guy she’d been seeing. Jack said he thought Carly was happy about her dating, and Carly said she was until Anna said not so great things about Vaughn. Vaughn also dated Anna’s granddaughter Emma and was pitting Josslyn against Emma. Jack agreed it was good to be rid of him, when Carly’s phone rang. Anna asked if they could meet in person. She had to tell Carly something about Josslyn. She had new information. Carly said she was at the MetroCourt, and Anna said she’d meet her there. Carly told Jack that Anna was on her way over. She had something to tell her about Josslyn.

Elizabeth said she had to go, but Molly asked her to stay. They had a chocolate soufflé on the way. Elizabeth said she didn’t want to intrude, but Ric said she wouldn’t, and she couldn’t say no to a chocolate soufflé.

Alexis said she couldn’t wait for it to be over, and Ava said she felt the same way. Cody walked in and said he hoped it was okay… Fancy seeing Ava here.

On the phone, Britt said she’d done all she could until she had more data… Then she needed more freedom. They wouldn’t let her take her car and it wasn’t good for her to be cooped up… No. She felt fine. It would just help if he returned her phone calls now and then… Okay. Great. Thanks. Goodnight. She took out a syringe and prepared a shot.

On the phone, Chase asked if they needed extra help… He was coming in anyway. He saw Gio and asked how it was going. Gio said, good. Him? Chase said, great, and Gio kept walking.

Emma said Josslyn was bailing on the job she stole from her and was telling her not to take it, and Josslyn said she still hadn’t found proof. If Emma wanted to try, fine, but don’t work for Dalton. He was a total sleaze. He’d made moves on her and no doubt would do the same with Emma. That was partly why she was quitting, to get space from him. Do herself a favor and stay away from Dalton.

Jack said he was sorry, but he had to get back to work, and Carly said Anna was stopping by. She thanked him for listening about Josslyn, and he said, headstrong wasn’t a bad thing. She said, it got you into trouble and she hoped to stop Josslyn from making the mistakes she had. He said, Josslyn had a remarkable, amazing woman as a mother, and kissed her.

At the pier on the phone, Anna said she’d look it over when she came to the station. When she ended the call, someone threw a hood over her and dragged her away.

Tuesday:

The hood was taken off of Anna’s head and she was in Jack’s office. She said, oh good, it was just him. In the future, he should know a phone call works as well as an abduction. What did he want? He said he wanted to save her from a life spent in Steinmaur.

Coming in from a run, Dante asked Michael what was going on, and Michael said he couldn’t stop thinking about Daisy. He missed her. (Me too!) At least now he knew why she was targeted.

Chase saw Willow back at work, and she said work kept her busy. He asked how she was, and she said, better, now that he was there.

Curtis met Portia at the MetroCourt, and she asked if it was a celebration or the last supper.

Tracy sat at nearby table with Sidwell and Marco. She said Sidwell was entitled to full transparency, and it had been brought to the company’s attention that a portion of Sonny’s investment in Deception was laundered money. The good news was, they’d severed all ties with Sonny and returned his initial investment. As good corporate citizens, they were obliged to take it to the police. Sidwell said they’d do nothing of the sort.

Carly found Lucas in the breakroom and gave him his mail. He said he hated ignoring her, and she said she missed him. Please move back.

At the pool, Sonny told Jason, if not for Rocco, they’d be licking their wounds instead of having a beer. He’d never seen Jason miss a fly ball though. What happened? Jason said his head wasn’t in it, and Sonny asked where it was. Jason said, with Britt.

Tracy said she wasn’t asking Sidwell’s permission, just showing courtesy. He’d left her to shoulder the burden of Measure C. Turner approached the table and asked if she could borrow Marco, privately. It was urgent. Marco said he was sorry, but they were talking, and Turner said she knew his statement was a fabrication to cover for Sonny having him kidnapped.

Lucas said he’d been thinking about their mom, and Carly said she would have hated that they were fighting. Lucas said, especially about Sonny. Since he couldn’t talk to their mom, he talked to the next best thing. They both said, Felicia, and he said he asked how their mom handled being around Sonny. Carly said, she bit her tongue until it bled, and he said, it wasn’t worth losing Carly over. Their mom didn’t walk away, and he wouldn’t either. Carly had said condescending and dismissive things about his relationships with Brad and Marco, but he realized it was easier for her to lash out than admit she was wrong about Sonny.

Sonny said Jason and Britt were close and she’d passed away, but the connection didn’t go away. Jason said, it was more than that. He saw Britt at the airport while he was waiting for a flight. Sonny said, grief played tricks. He saw Morgan in a crowd… Jason said that wasn’t it. He heard her voice on the phone tonight. Britt was alive.

Dante asked if Michael was going to the PCPD, but Michael said he had no evidence, just suspicions and a theory. If he was right, Sasha and Daisy needed to stay where they were because the person wasn’t going anywhere. Dante asked who he thought did it, and Michael said, Willow.

Willow said she was taking a break and asked if Chase had time to talk. He said he was there to get a statement from a patient, but had time, and she said she could use a friend. He was one of the few she had left. She had no idea how Wiley and Amelia were doing. It was hard enough not to see them, but no one gave her updates. She was wondering if there was anything Chase could tell her. He said they were both doing great. Wiley had seconds of his oatmeal and Amelia’s favorite juice was now grapefruit. She said she was glad they were doing well. She could never get Wiley to eat his oatmeal, and Amelia would drink nothing but apple juice. She started to cry and said the kids were changing, but she wasn’t there. She needed to see them. Chase said he knew she missed them, and the visitation hearing wasn’t scheduled until October, and she said she had a lot of work to do on herself. Step one was owning the part she played in all of this.

Curtis said he’d like to call this dinner a celebration, and Portia asked what they were celebrating. He said he’d talked to Drew and Drew wanted a truce. No more extortion. Drew still believed Nina told Willow about the affair, and Nina wasn’t saying any different. Drew would never know he blew the whistle. Portia asked if Drew handed over the evidence of her tampering with Heather’s test results, but Curtis said Drew had it for temporary insurance. As long as he steered clear from Drew, Drew had no reason to go after him. She said, eyes open, ears to the ground, and suggested they enjoy tonight, but she had one question. He’d said he wouldn’t fight for their marriage, not while Drew was coming after them. Did that mean he was willing to fight for their marriage now?

Anna asked why she was there, and Jack said she’d come dangerously close to compromising a Level 5 op. He had to employ a new tactic – transparency. He was going to tell her everything.

Jack said Dalton was researching cold fusion, and Anna said they didn’t want the technology to get in the wrong hands or where it could be weaponized. How did Josslyn fit in? Jack said she was in a unique position to help, and Anna said she’d save him the trouble of lying. Dalton’s work at PCU was a cover for his research and they needed a student to infiltrate his lab. Jack said, as an agent, Josslyn had all the hallmarks of capable operative. She was intelligent, quick on her feet, observant, and convincing. Anna asked if Vaughn was her partner or handler, and he said, a little of both. She asked how Josslyn was performing, and he said she’d gotten what they needed. She confirmed that Dalton was sharing data by courier. Anna asked if it was the courier with the backpack Josslyn had tagged, and he said, she resurfaced in the Adriatic, which was where Josslyn and Vaughn were going. Anna said, bastard.

Willow told Chase that she thought Carly would show compassion. She tried to explain, and Carly wouldn’t listen. She didn’t blame her. She was upset and scared Wiley. Everything she’d done in this past year was a mistake. Chase said he was glad she found out about the affair before it was too late, and she said she hated to admit it, but Carly and Michael were right. She shouldn’t have gone to see the kids and had to figure out how to undo the damage.

Michael told Dante that it seemed like the whole reason Daisy was moved around was to mess with them, not to send a message. It felt more like payback. Dante said, the motive was there. Was she on the security footage? Michael said that’s what made him more suspicious. Willow knew where they were and how to avoid them. Dante asked if he was going to confront her, but Michael said he didn’t know. He wasn’t 100% certain and was still hoping he was wrong. If it was true, it changed everything.

Turner asked why Marco was protecting Sonny, and Marco said she had his statement and that’s what he was going with. She thanked him for his time and apologized for the intrusion. She left and Tracy said she got it. Sonny made Sidwell pull out of Measure C. Sidwell said he could still be useful behind scenes, and Tracy said she was still going to the police with the evidence Natalia shared with them.  She hoped once the ball was rolling, Sonny would be gone before election day. Marco said, the police wouldn’t take kindly to Deception hanging onto the evidence for months. It implied guilt. Tracy said they were holding onto it until Sonny was devested from the company to protect Deception, and Sidwell said, if they’d handed it over when Natalia gave it to them, but now, they wouldn’t have a company left to protect.

Jason told Sonny that he was at the airport. He saw Britt with a bag from the same resort where her flight was headed. When he called the resort and spoke to the manager, he heard Britt’s voice. She was demanding and bold. This was Britt. Sonny said he knew Jason was talking seriously, but how did she survive? and Jason said he wasn’t sure. He checked the funeral home where the cremation was, but there was no record of it. Sonny said, if she survived, she was sick and probably didn’t want to see anyone, and Jason said that’s what he was thinking. Sonny asked what he was going to do about it.

Jason said he wasn’t going to do anything. If Britt chose to vanish, he intended to honor her choice. Sonny said he should tell her that he’s alive. Last she heard, he was under a pile of rocks in Greece. Jason said he couldn’t assume anything, and Sonny said, giving Britt her freedom had to be horrible for him, but Jason said he had no choice.

Curtis told Portia that tonight was about them finding their way back after the havoc Drew had wreaked on their marriage. It didn’t mean he excused her actions. It meant he understood, and he was sorry he’d made it hard to confide in him. He owned that and would work on it. She said he wasn’t the only one to blame. Her fear of losing him, Trina, and everything she’d worked for led to her decisions. He made her feel like they could work through and come through stronger. Did he?

Carly said she knew how Lucas felt about Sonny, but she couldn’t cut Sonny out of her life. She didn’t want to and would like to think he understood. He said he did, and she said she knew how important Brad was to him. They’d loved and lost a child. They were married. And she shouldn’t have said a word about his relationship with Marco. For what it was worth (🍷), she didn’t think Marco was a rebound. She knew he was careful, and if he thought he was falling in love with Marco, Marco was worth it. Lucas said he was, and she said she was worried it was happening fast, but she used worry as a weapon, and she was sorry. He said, apology accepted. He loved her. She said she felt the same and suggested he invite Marco over for dinner, but he said he wasn’t moving back in.

Anna said Jack had tasked an inexperienced recruit with a mission on foreign soil, but Jack said it was a recon mission. Stand down and stay out of the way. She said her granddaughter was involved too. He was wasting his time if he thought she’d stand down.

Turner went to the pool and told Sonny, congratulations on his win. It was a shame he had to break the rules, but that was his specialty.

Sidwell told Tracy that the fallout would immediate, and Marco said Deception’s assets would be frozen and accountants would descend like vultures. Everything would be scrutinized, and it would be a matter of public record. Sidwell said it would reek of scandal. Their demographic was merciless, not forgiving or loyal. (True dat.) Tracy said they’d held onto the evidence for too long and their only recourse was to hold onto it forever. Marco said he knew she wanted Sonny brought to his knees, but it might cost the company, and Sidwell said, the same company whose money went to the granddaughter Tracy held dear. Tracy said forgive her if she didn’t take advice from someone who lived in a faux middle age fortress and associated with Lucy Coe, and Sidwell said it was a friend-to-friend counsel. She said she wasn’t his friend.

Dante told Michael that they didn’t know for sure it was Willow. It could have been one of Sonny’s enemies. Michael said that what he was thinking, but Daisy was swapped with another baby at the hospital. Willow was working that day and knew the hospital inside and out. She was in the perfect place to swap Daisy with another baby.

Chase said Willow was a good person, kind, and a dedicated mother. The judge would see that. Willow thanked him for being there no matter what, and he said he’d be happy testify on her behalf. She hugged him, and she asked if he’d keep trying with Michael, but he said Michael needed time to cool off. When he did, he’d see the good in her and she’d be reunited with her kids.

Carly asked why Lucas wouldn’t move back, and he said he couldn’t make space in his life for Sonny. She said Sonny was barely ever there, and he said he loved Donna. If he got why she’d made peace with Sonny, try and understand why he couldn’t smile and play nice anymore. He didn’t want Donna around that tension, and it was time he got his own place. She said, what about holidays? and he said he’d be there. She was still his sister, and Donna was still his niece. He was resigning as a houseguest, but not a brother. They hugged.

Jack said he’d let Anna in on the operative to try and stop her from committing treason, something she knew about. How many people had she betrayed? She said, not as many as he had, and he said, if she tried to interfere, she could wake up in Steinmaur, if she woke up at all. She said she couldn’t do anything to stop him. He’d put her in a box. She smiled and he asked what was funny. She said he was in a box too. He’d recruited Josslyn when Dex’s death was fresh and there was going to be hell to pay when Carly found out what he’d done to her daughter.

Curtis said Trina was clear about her stance on Kai, and when he tried to convince her to give Kai a second chance, it hit him. He should do the same with Portia. Drew’s blackmailing her almost tore them apart, but in the middle of the chaos, Drew made him realize that he was still in love with her.

Marco said Tracy pointed out that Sidwell withdrawing from Measure C let Sonny off the hook, and Sidwell said, they both did. Why did he? Marco said, trying to pin the abduction on Sonny would be uphill battle. He covered his tracks. Sidwell said, of course (🍷). It wasn’t his first kidnapping. Marco said, here’s hoping it was Sonny’s last – and his – and they clinked glasses. Sidwell said, not to worry. He had something special lined up. And when he launched his weapon, this one wouldn’t miss.

Carly gave Lucas a key and said, for any time he wanted to stop by and visit his family.

Sonny asked how he rigged the game, but Turner said she didn’t know. Until tonight, the PCPD (PCSD?) had been undefeated. He said, they still would be if not for his grandson, and she said the PCPD was playing Corinthos Coffee tomorrow. She couldn’t wait to play and would be ready for every trick he had. He said he didn’t need tricks. He was going to beat them fair and square. She laughed and said it would be a first. She left, and Jason said she knew how to make an exit. Sonny said that’s what he was counting on.

Carly saw Chase and Willow at the hospital and kept walking, but Willow said, wait. Did she have one minute?

Jack said he never manipulated Josslyn, and Anna asked if she’d knocked on the door and he filed her application with HR before he went back to romancing her mother. He said, screw you, and she said she and Jack knew each other. They were always in the same room, and she’d seen him with a lot of women. She’d never seen him the way he was with Carly. She thought he’d fallen for her. She guessed there was a first time for everything, and left.

Curtis told Portia, the first few months were rough. They were either fighting or not saying anything. There was so much tension. It was hard to remember where it started. Then Drew tried to pressure her into altering Michael’s test results and he saw her bravery. She stood her ground and refused to be bullied. It was a beautiful reminder of the woman he loved, as strong in her principles as she always was. It helped him realize that he was wrong to judge her. Even if he wasn’t, he’d, made it impossible for her to come to him. He realized what she was up against and how she shouldn’t have had to face it alone for so long. She said she liked the people they were right now, and he said he did too. He thought those people were their future. She said she’d drink to that, and they clinked glasses.

Marco asked what Sidwell had on Sonny, and Sidwell said, the judge who oversaw Michael’s custody case… Marco said, Judge Haran. What about her? Sidwell said, the day she awarded Michael sole custody, a large sum was wired into her account in her name. If a large untraceable amount came to light… Marco said, it would look like Sonny bought off the judge. The ruling would be thrown out and Willow would have the upper hand in the appeal. Sidwell said, Michael would conclude that Sonny bribed the judge and was foolish enough to get caught. Sonny would lose him. Marco said, why wait? and after drumming on the table for a moment, Sidwell said, timing is everything.

Michael said, changing a onesie, turning a baby around, and hiding in the house just to put the baby in an empty room for them to find. Could Dante imagine Selina ordering her henchmen to do that? Dante said he didn’t think her henchmen would know the first thing about a onesie or a baby, and Michael said, now that he was saying it out loud, it had to be Willow. Dante asked if Michael wanted him to open an inquiry, but Michael said, not yet. Daisy is safe. It was time he figured this out. He knew the lengths Willow would go to and couldn’t let her near his kids anymore.

Carly asked what Willow wanted to apologize for, and Willow said, making a scene. She shouldn’t have gone to Carly’s. She was upset about everything. It wasn’t an excuse. Carly told her a thousand times. She said the day would come when Willow would regret it all. That day was here. She was sorry she didn’t listen. Sorry for everything. Carly said she’d heard it before from Willow’s sister. Nelle apologized for so many things. She bought it, but she wasn’t buying this. Not for one second. Even if she did, she’s not the person Willow should be apologizing to. She walked away.

Jason asked if Sonny was sure he wanted people to see him and Turner going at it, and Sonny said she was smart. She was building a case against him, but he was building something else. When he ran into Turner in public, when she called him into the PCPD to question him without his lawyer, it showed bias. Jason said, if she filed a case, she’d have to recuse herself because she wouldn’t be objective, and Sonny said, exactly. She thought she was in control, but he was sitting tight and calling all the shots.

Jack told Anna that his feelings for Carly were immaterial. The stakes were higher than personal relationships. Anna said he’d sent his lover’s daughter on a high-risk mission. How would he face her if something went wrong? He said it was a recon mission, and she said, and he’s never known a mission to go sideways. He said, Josslyn was good. Vaughn was too. All they’re doing is relaying the layout, the access points, and security rotation, the standard. They’ll come back without a scratch. He went into his office and slammed the door. Anna flashed back to Jason telling her that he saw Britt at the airport with a Dalmatia tote bag.

Wednesday:

At the pool, Chase told Michael that the PCPD softball team got beat by his dad. He ran into Willow… Michael stopped him and said he wasn’t having this conversation.

Lulu met Carly at the MetroCourt and said a certain someone had been cheering on her son, and Carly asked if she meant Obrecht. Lulu said she was already on thin ice with Rocco and wanted Carly to help her find a way to drive that whack job out of town.

Obrecht found Danny, Rocco, and Jason in the park and said she’d been cheering them on. She showed them her foam finger.

Dante went to Laura’s office, and she said she wanted to discuss a case off the record. She wanted to know whether or not his father had kidnapped Marco Rios.

Sonny helped a limping Turner into the hospital, and she thanked him for the ride. She said she’d take from there, but he said she’d hurt her ankle. Maybe he should help her to the couch.

Maxie and Lucy met Brook at the Quartermaine’s, and Brook said she wished there was a different solution. Maxie said no one wanted to get Sonny in trouble, but they had to tell the police. Brook said Sonny had no idea about the laundered money, but Maxie said it was the only way to protect Deception. Tracy came in and said there had been a change in plans.

Carly said she’d love to help Lulu, but it was a conflict of interest. When Willow had leukemia, Obrecht donated bone marrow and saved Willow’s life. Lulu said Carly hated Willow, but Carly said Willow was the mother of her grandchildren, which made Obrecht their great-aunt. It was too messy. Lulu said it wasn’t about Obrecht saving a woman with a distant family connection. Carly didn’t want to get her hands dirty when it came to Jason.

Rocco said he didn’t know Obrecht was into softball, and Obrecht said she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see him play. Rocco introduced her to Danny, and she asked if he was Jason’s son. Jason nodded, and she said it was a pleasure to meet him. Now that they were all friends, perhaps she could take them out to celebrate their victory. How did ice cream sound?

Dante told Laura, officially, Marco wasn’t kidnapped. He gave an incoherent, confusing account of being injured. She said it sounded like a classic cover-up, and he said Marco wasn’t accusing Sonny of anything and no charges were filed. It was an open and shut case. She said, there was no evidence? and he said, none. She said they were in the same position, not being able to look the other way, and he said if she wanted him to investigate further, he’d have to get the green light from Anna. Is that what she wanted?

Turner said Sonny didn’t have to keep her company, but he said he had tagged her out at third base. She said it was the ump’s call, and she was safe, when Willow came over and asked why she was there. Sonny asked if they could have a different nurse, and Willow said, of course (🍷). She gave Turner paperwork to fill out and left. Turner asked if she wasn’t Sonny’s ex-daughter-in-law, and he said it was best to steer clear given the situation. She asked, what was the situation?

Tracy said they hadn’t thoroughly considered all aspects of the Sonny problem. Going to the PCPD was a mistake. If they wanted to protect the company, they needed to keep quiet about all of it.

Lulu told Carly that when Jason was involved with Britt, he developed a soft spot for her mother, and Carly admitted that she’d rather not have a conflict with Jason. She’d rather not have a conflict with Lulu either, but she knew Lulu had gotten into it with Jason. Lulu said, when he told her son what a wonderful person Britt was. She knew he and Carly were close, but mother to mother, was keeping the peace more important than Rocco’s emotional well-being? Carly said, of course (🍷) not, and Lulu said, then help her. Carly said she’d consider it on one condition. Convince her that Obrecht was an actual threat to Rocco.

Obrecht said it was her treat, and Jason suggested the boys pack up the equipment first. Rocco and Danny left, and Obrecht said he thought she should stay away from Rocco. Jason said, no, but she was putting him in a tough position with his parents. Clearly, he’d either be going against his parents or he’d have to turn her down. She could save Rocco the stress by not putting him in the middle. Could she do that?

Chase asked Michael to hear him out. Michael owed him that much after busting up his marriage. Michael told him to say what he needed to, and Chase said Willow knew she made a mistake and was acutely aware that Drew wasn’t the man she thought he was. Michael said, for a year, everyone tried to convince her, but Chase said she was convinced Drew was her savior. He was asking Michael to give her a break. Hadn’t they all made bad decisions? Michael said, not like hers, and Chase asked if it should cost her children.

Willow told Isaiah that Sonny asked for a different nurse and said she agreed it was for the best. He said he’d have another nurse follow up. Was she all right? She said it was ironic. Sonny had a reputation for being dangerous, but out of everyone in Michael’s family, he’d been the most decent to her.

Sonny said things had been tense since Michael and Willow’s marriage fell apart, and Turner said, because of Willow’s affair with Congressman Cain. He said that was the gist of it. Willow got taken in by that lying sleaze and he basically destroyed her life. Turner said she heard Willow left him at the altar. Did he really sleep with her mother? Never mind. It was none of her business. He said he was happy Willow came to her senses, but wished she would have done it before she lost custody. It would have been easier to work out on their own. Turner said family court judges did what they could, but didn’t have the time or resources needed to make a fully informed decision, and Sonny said he was surprised Michael got sole custody. She asked if he thought the judge made a mistake.

Brook said it was Tracy’s idea, but Tracy said she believed her desire to see Sonny behind bars narrowed her focus. She didn’t think it through. By voluntarily exposing Sonny’s indiscretion, they’d open a can of worms they wanted nothing to do with. If the police investigated, their assets would be frozen and forensic accountants would go over the books, search their homes and offices, and God knew for how long. Lucy said it would be a disaster and all their hard work would go poof. Erica Kane would love that. Tracy said it was possible they wouldn’t be seen as innocent by throwing Sonny under the bus to protect themselves, but Maxie said she was sure they could convince the police. Tracy said it was too big a risk. Natalia was gone and Sonny had been devested. It was the right move and what they were going to do.

Laura asked if Dante thought it was worthwhile pursuing a case, but Dane said the gap between what they knew probably happened and what they could prove was insurmountable. Also, the victim wouldn’t admit to being abducted. Laura said she didn’t want to see her friend arrested, but she was also worried about what it would do to Rocco.

Obrecht told Jason that she didn’t want to cause distress, but Rocco was clear that he wanted to know more about Britt, and she loved telling him stories. He said he understood she missed Britt and Rocco was a direct link, and she said, Britt loved Rocco so much. Jason said, they were never related. Britt had stolen the embryo and passed it off as her own. He got how she felt, but don’t try and come between Rocco and his parents.

Lulu said Carly knew how dangerous Obrecht was, but Carly said, to Rocco? Lulu said, yes. She was filling his head with lies, convincing him that her daughter wasn’t a terrible person. The only reason Britt had Rocco was to hang onto a man who didn’t want her. She was sure Obrecht left that out. She and Dante lost out on precious time with their son.. It was robbed from them. Carly said she was sorry for what Britt did. It was horrific. Lulu said, Obrecht spun it into something it wasn’t, but Carly said, Britt did evolve, and Jason was a huge part of that.

Michael said seeing Willow wasn’t in the best interest of Wiley and Amelia, but Chase said she loved them. Michael said all the credit went to Drew. Willow forgot how the kids were affected. Chase said, she wasn’t trying to hut the kids, and Michael said, but she did. She put them in an unstable environment and ignored their emotional needs. Chase said she’d been under Drew’s influence, and he wasn’t a factor now, and Michael said Willow had shown her own bad behavior.

Sonny told Turner that he believed the kids should be with Michael. The judge made the right call, although he thought she’d include visitation under the provision Drew not be present. She said it was unusual to strip the mother of all rights, and he said, Willow made bad decisions because of Drew. Now it was costing her, and them, but he’d be blind to say it wasn’t a complex situation. They should check and see if a doctor was ready. Did she want him to pull some strings? She said, don’t you dare.

Lucy said, so Tracy was advocating they cover up a major crime and keep their fingers crossed that they didn’t get caught. Maxie said, if they stayed quiet, and the truth came out, they were screwed, but Brook said she agreed with her grandmother. Sonny was the only family member Gio was speaking to. If she sent his grandfather to prison, he would hate her more than he already did. Maxie said she understood that Brook loved Sonny, but it was a smart strategy and the right thing to do. Tracy told them to ask themselves if sticking to their principles was worth losing everything, including their freedom.

Carly said Lulu wasn’t around to see that Britt had really changed. She died savin Josslyn. Lulu said that didn’t erase what Britt had done, and Carly asked if Lulu shouldn’t at least acknowledge Britt had layers and multiple sides, good and bad, not just one thing. Lulu said, seeing it as a mother, it was unacceptable, and Carly said Rocco had to know they weren’t related biologically, but Lulu said, Britt carried him for nine months and gave birth to him. She took care of him and for all Lulu knew, Britt nursed him. She stole that connection from her and Lulu was terrified she could steal so much more.

Laura said Dante was entitled to his negative feelings about Britt, but what Rocco was told was accurate and truthful. Can Dante blame him for not wanting to believe the woman who carried him and brought him into the world was a horrible person? Dante said Rocco didn’t want it to change who he was, and that was kid thinking, but she said, Rocco was still a kid. He said, Britt had no bearing on Rocco’s identity. They weren’t related. She said, the fact remained that Rocco was affected by the new information. She couldn’t see how it would hurt to allow him to explore that. Dante said he felt livid in the beginning, but she was right. Maybe Rocco needed to hear both sides. What harm would it do? The woman was dead.

Rocco asked what Danny thought about Obrecht, and Danny said she was weird, but not as scary as he’d thought. Did Rocco want to know her? Rocco said he did, and Britt, and Danny asked how his parents felt. Rocco said, not great. They thought Britt was the devil. He hated that they were fighting. Maybe he should drop it.

Turner said she didn’t want to cross the line and maybe Sonny should go. He asked if that was her M.O., pushing people away when she needed them. She told her co-workers that she was fine. She didn’t want them to see her vulnerable, since she had a reputation of being a hard ass. It was pride. He got it and understood. Speaking of pride, was it eating her up that his team beat theirs? She said it hurt more than her ankle and she couldn’t accuse him of cheating this time. He said he didn’t. For someone who never played, she did great. She said she was convinced they would have won except for the bad call. She was safe. A nurse came over with a wheelchair and said they were ready for her. Turner said Sonny was officially off the hook. She’d call a Ride Share to get home.

Isaiah thanked Willow for her help in keeping a child calm. She was an awesome mom and the court would see that. She’d have her kids back in no time. She said she thought she had a better shot now that she and Drew weren’t together. He said he was sorry about what happened, and she said he should be glad he couldn’t make it. Now she knew the truth and was free of the lies and manipulations. He said, it must hurt, and she said it was karma. She wouldn’t listen to anyone. Even the Co-Chief of Staff said Drew was blackmailing her. Isaiah said, what? and Willow said please keep it between them. She had no business sharing it. He told her not to worry.

Michael told Chase that Willow had her own issues. Until she dealt with them, he couldn’t allow her to be around the kids. Chase asked if he was saying she was a danger to them, but Michael said Chase didn’t know all the facts. The best thing was to wait until the hearing in October. Chase said he didn’t think Willow could wait. Couldn’t he let her spend time with them? Michael said that wasn’t happening, and Chase asked why he was punishing Willow. Michael asked if Chase thought he didn’t want his kids to have their mother. It killed him. Chase said the kids needed their mother. He knew he didn’t have all the details, but couldn’t Michael show the tiniest bit of compassion.

Laura said it was comforting for Rocco to hear that Britt wasn’t all bad, and Dante said he didn’t love it, but she was right. Maybe he and Lulu needed to back off. She said it was a wise decision to give Rocco space to make up his own mind. It would tell Rocco that they trusted him. Dante said Obrecht was pro-Britt, and he wished Rocco had someone else to talk to, but Laura said his son was hungry for stories about Britt and Obrecht had them. For Rocco to express his own point of view, he had to hear both sides. Dante said he was willing to let Rocco do that, and she told him, good luck getting Lulu on board. He said she took the words right out of his mouth.

Carly told Lulu that Britt was no longer part of the picture and couldn’t hurt her relationship with Rocco, but Lulu said, Obrecht could. When she and Dante saw her at the pool, smiling and taking selfies, they lost it. When they explained to Rocco, he saw them as the bad guys. She felt her son slipping away. She just got him back and wasn’t losing him again. Carly said, she wasn’t fighting Obrecht and Britt, and Lulu said she was fighting Rocco. Carly said if she wasn’t careful, she’d push him away for good.

Danny said it was Rocco’s life and he had the right to want to learn more about it. If he wanted to hang out with Britt’s mom, he should.

Obrecht told Jason that she didn’t want to cause problems. Rocco had reached out to her. Jason asked if Rocco knew the idea of stealing the embryo was hers, and she said she didn’t think she mentioned it. Jason said if she wanted a relationship with him, she had to tell him the whole truth, even the unflattering parts. Britt didn’t care what anyone thought and wouldn’t want her to whitewash it, especially to Rocco. If she told the truth, it would make him trust her. She said Jason might be onto something, and thanked him.

Tracy said even if the police believed they didn’t actively help Sonny, they could still be in trouble. Deception’s finances would be audited and who knew what Natalia was up to. What if they found irregularities? Lucy said, good point, and Tracy said, nailing Sonny at their own expense was counterproductive. Maxie said, Sonny’s accountant made the mistake. It was his issue to clean up. It would show they had nothing to hide. Tracy said, everyone who wants to leave well enough alone, raise their hand, and Lucy raised hers. Tracy said Brook had stock in the company, and Brook raised her hand. Tracy said, fine. It was settled. They weren’t going to the police.

Willow said she’d felt alone lately and friends like Isaiah, Elizabeth, and Chase made life bearable. Isaiah said he didn’t know she and Chase were close, and she said they were married. She didn’t talk about it a lot. She cheated on him with Michael, so he had a right to gloat, but he hadn’t. Isaiah said he sounded like a good guy, and she said he was one of the best. He was kind, reasonable, and understanding. Everything she was wrong in assuming Michael would be.

Michael told Chase that compassion was a luxury he couldn’t afford. Wiley and Amelia came first. Chase said the children wanted to see their mom. What Michael was doing was worse than punishing Willow. He was punishing his own kids. Chase walked out.

Turner came out on crutches, and Sonny came back pushing a wheelchair. He asked if she needed a lift, but she said she told him to go. He said he didn’t like being told what to do. Sit or not sit. She sat.

Lucy said they had another Home & Heart segment coming up, but Tracy said they’d discussed enough business. Lucy said, ta! and left. Maxie followed her out, and Tracy said, Maxie was quiet. Brook said, she was disappointed, and Tracy said they did the right thing. She hoped Maxie abided by their vote. Her father was the Chief of Detectives and she wouldn’t be surprised if Maxie confided in him. Brook wondered how she could be casual about it. If Maxie went to the cops, they were all going down.

Laura said she understood Dante and Lulu were struggling, but the more they pushed Obrecht away, the more they’d push Rocco away. Dante said he was counting the days until Obrecht left town, but it might make Rocco want more. He didn’t know if there was a solution to any of this. Laura promised they’d find one.

Carly said if Lulu didn’t stop going on the attack, she’d make martyrs of Obrecht and Britt. How much longer could Obrecht stay? Lulu said that didn’t mean she and Rocco wouldn’t be in touch, and Carly said, banning him from talking to Obrecht would make him want to talk more. She had to loosen her grip. Think long and hard before she pulled the trigger and went up against Obrecht or she could make things worse.

The boys came back, and Obrecht said she spoke too soon. She’d forgotten to take her lactose pills. Her bad. Another time? Rocco said that would be cool, and she congratulated them on their big win. She left, and Danny said she was something else. He wondered if Britt was like her, but Jason said Britt was her own person. Rocco said he wished he could have known her, and Jason said him too.

Thursday:

Kristina met Alexis at the MetroCourt, and Alexis said Molly was late because she was stuck at work. She told Kristina that her plan was working. Ric and Ava were turning on each other.

Elizabeth gave Ric Willow’s work records and a list of character witnesses, and Ric said he needed as much ammunition as possible to prove Willow was stable and reliable. Elizabeth was a good friend. Elizabeth said he was doing the case pro bono, which was more than generous, and he said her good opinion was his reward. Ava watched them.

At the pool, Felicia invited Cody to Mac’s barbecue. He was inviting family, friends, and everyone at the station and DA’s office. Cody asked if that would include Molly, and Felicia said she was on the guest list. He said, then take him off.

Emma told Gio, on second thought, she wanted to do the break-in alone. She wanted the responsibility to fall on her if something went wrong. He said if they were going to have a chance at success, she had to keep Dalton busy while he proved Dalton was animal testing. It was a two-person job. She was stuck with him. Anna came in with Outback, and said, this whole thing with Outback ended right now.

At the hospital, Martin told Stella that his back felt great. He was going to miss his physical therapist. He’d said Martin could use more sessions, but Martin’s insurance disagreed. (Been there.)

Sonny went to the Quartermaine’s to see Brook, and Brook said she told Tracy that Sonny was coming by so she could talk to him about Deception, which was true, but it was also an excuse to see him. She’d messed up.

Laura asked if there was no new information on Sidwell, and Jordan said she was getting nowhere.

Sidwell sat at an outside table, when Drew came by. Drew said he needed whatever Sidwell had against Sonny Corinthos.

Brook asked how much Sonny knew about Rocco finding out Britt gave birth to him, and Sonny said Rocco was confused about what that meant. Brook said Sonny must know she was the reason Rocco found out. Go ahead. Let her have it.

Stella said she was going to fight for Martin and get his physical therapy approved, and he said she was an angel. He wouldn’t have improved if not for her, and it was all Tracy’s fault. She said Tracy was her good friend, and he said that was more proof of her Olympian generosity of spirit.

Jordan said Sidwell paid her a lot of money, and the work was challenging. She enjoyed it. Laura said Sidwell was probably more likely to trust her if she was invested, and Jordan said she couldn’t tie him to the fire at Charlie’s. Laura asked about any smuggling ops, but Jordan said there was nothing. Laura said he was dirty as they came and the fact he was good at hiding it proved it. She wondered if he had someone helping him, and Jordan said she thought he was running the illegal side of things through his son. 😯

Sidwell said he was declining Drew’s request and thought it had less to do with Sonny than Michael. He was using the father to get to the son. Drew said Willow’s children were stolen from her, but Sidwell said, sorry. He couldn’t help. Drew said, give him something he could use against Sonny, or he promised to make Sidwell’s life very difficult, and Sidwell said Drew was not threatening him, was he?

Alexis told Kristina that once Ava got the final payment, she’d give Alexis the location of the car and destroy the footage from the garage camera. Then hopefully, the nightmare would be over. Kristina said, if Ava kept her word, but until she saw the car and footage destroyed, she didn’t believe they were in the clear. Alexis said neither did she, and Kristina said she knew how Alexis felt about the law and was sorry she’d put her in this position. Alexis said she knew Kristina understood how serious this was, and she was glad Kristina was back in therapy. She’d been skeptical of Kristina’s plan, but it was working. Kristina said she wished she’d kept Molly out of it.

Felicia said she thought Cody and Molly were friends, and Cody said Molly was furious with him. She asked what he did, and he said, nothing. She just went off on him. It was a mystery. Felicia said mysteries were meant to be solved and it would mean so much to Mac, and Cody said he’d be there.

Anna told Emma that she heard barking from the lobby. The apartment didn’t allow dogs and it only took one person to complain to the HOA and they’d be out. Emma said they’d make a schedule, so Outback wasn’t left alone, and Anna said, until then… She held out the leash, but Emma said she had to go to a lecture. Gio said he had to lifeguard and was also going to the lecture, and Anna said she had to go to work. Emma said she was the Police Commissioner. Who was going tell her that she couldn’t bring Outback to work? Anna said, okay… today. She left, and Emma asked why Gio said he was coming with her.

Felicia said Anna looked tense. Outback? Anna said, no, Emma. She thought her granddaughter was going to make a move against Dalton tonight.

Brook said she was so focused on getting back at Lulu, she hurt Rocco, but Sonny told her to stop beating herself up. Rocco was okay. He just saw him play softball and he was laughing. He was tougher than people gave him credit for. She said Rocco told her that he was glad he knew the truth, but she thought he was saying what she wanted to hear. He said Rocco found it by accident. Had she wanted him to find it? she said, that was exactly what she’d wanted.

Alexis said Kristina successfully warned Molly away from Cody, but Kristina said, not the whole truth. Cody really liked Molly. Part of the reason he agreed to seduce Ava was for Molly’s sake and the night of the fire, he was there for her. She thought he really cared. Alexis asked if she regretted coming between them.

Anna told Felicia that Josslyn left her position with Dalton and Emma stepped in. She was convinced Dalton was a bad actor and Emma was trying to prove it.

Emma told Gio that Anna didn’t like her working with Dalton, but someone had to expose him as soon as possible. Gio said they had to make sure it was known he was doing animal testing.

On the phone with the fire department, Anna asked if the fire chief happened to know the last time the lecture hall at PCU was inspected.

Ava said she had a garage door opener to drop off for Lucas, and Elizabeth said she’d make sure he got it. Elizabeth left, and Ava asked if Rix missed her. She was headed over to the MetroCourt pool. Did he want to join her? He said he was busy preparing for Willow’s visitation appeal, and was about to kiss Ava, when Elizabeth called over that Deanna said she’d be a character witness. Ric asked if she could think of anyone else, and Ava left.

Ava texted Cody and watched Ric walk off with Elizabeth.

Lucy arrived to meet Sidwell and told Drew that maybe Willow would forgive… no, probably not. Drew said he was happy nothing came out on social media and knew it was her doing, and she said she respected privacy and the sanctity of the church. Drew told Sidwell not to forget what he asked, and left.

Laura asked if Jordan had proof Marco was involved, but Jordan said it was just a theory. Marco and his father were close and spent a lot of time behind closed doors. She wasn’t privy to what they discussed. Laura asked if she thought Sidwell was suspicious, but Jordan said she didn’t think so. Laura wondered how long before Sidwell brought Jordan into the fold, but Jordan said she didn’t know if he would, not if she didn’t prove trustworthy.

Trina saw Ava at the pool and asked if Ric was coming. Ava said he was too busy hanging on every word out of Elizabeth’s mouth. Trina was right. She deserved better. Cody came in and Trina went to talk to Emma. Ava said she was going to invite Cody, and was surprised when he said he was already there. She invited Ric, but he had work. Cody said Ric was an idiot, and Ava agreed. It was too hot to work. Cody said, for giving up a chance to spend the day with her.

Ric said, thanks to Elizabeth, he had an impressive list of character witnesses, and Elizabeth showed him a photo from Aiden on her phone. She said she wanted to paint every picture he sent, and Ric said maybe she could take a sabbatical. Maybe she’d find a benefactor or patron. She said that would never happen, but he told her, never say never.

Jordan said Sidwell needed to know she’d do what it took to be successful and hearing about illegal acts wouldn’t make her run to the police, and Laura reminded her that she didn’t have a badge to fall back on. Jordan said it would be tricky, but she was willing to take the risk to protect the city, but Laura said she may not be able to protect Jordan and wasn’t comfortable with asking her to take the risk.

Lucy said she was sad for Willow and Drew, but hoped it wouldn’t ruin her lunch with Sidwell. They had something to celebrate about Deception. Sidwell wondered if they shouldn’t wait for Jordan, and Lucy said she had no idea Jordan was joining them. She was hoping their lunch would be more intimate. He said nothing would delight him more, but he never presumed to make the first move. She said, presume away.

Molly joined Alexis and Kristina, and Alexis said she had a plan for Scout that she wanted to run by them. She needed help.

Martin met Drew at the MetroCourt and apologized for being late. He’d run into Stella and a missing signature caused his insurance to deny him rehab… Sorry. Drew said they needed to figure out how to get Willow custody of her kids.

Brook told Sonny that Gio wanted nothing to do with her. She thought she didn’t want him as a teenager and didn’t care about him now. It broke her heart that he believed that about her. Sonny said Brook gave Gio the chance at a better life. That was love. He believed one day Gio would understand. She said Lulu had dug into her past to hurt her. Lulu was driven to expose her and didn’t care who she hurt. She wanted to hurt Lulu back, but once she got the chance, she couldn’t go through with it. Lulu didn’t believe her, but she hoped he did. She didn’t leave the file out for Rocco to find.

Molly said Scout would love it. Did Alexis think Drew would go for it? Alexis said she had no idea, but they were Sam’s family, and they should be entitled to spend more time with Scout. She didn’t know if he’d understand that. Molly said she thought he would listen, and Kristina said they could all speak up for Sam.

Martin told Drew that if he was Willow’s attorney, he’d be happy to advise her, but she was represented by Ric and Nina was picking up the tab. Drew said Willow wanted nothing to do with Nina and needed their help, and Martin said, there was no easy answer. Willow lost and had a meltdown in court. She wasn’t going to see her kids for a long time, no matter what.

Sonny told Brook that he believed Rocco was going to find out eventually from Dante and Lulu. He could have found out from Obrecht. It looked like he was out of Deception now. How was the company doing? Brook said she had good news.

Sidwell asked how it went with the City Council, and Jordan said the mayor’s office was thrilled with his donation to the Park Beautification Project. Sidwell said it was all due to Lucy, and Lucy said she was thinking that she should run the city. Sidwell said, one reason they were here was, Lucy had an update on Deception, and Lucy said she’d like to share, but needed to know if Jordan was duty bound to disclose anything. Jordan said she worked in the private sector now and it fell under her NDA, and Lucy said, in that case…

Trina told Emma that Josslyn texted her from Australia with a message for Emma. Emma said, let her guess. Don’t work with Dalton. Trina said, yeah. Josslyn was worried about her. Josslyn was her best friend, and she loved Josslyn. She wasn’t perfect or always right, but she trusted Josslyn. If Josslyn felt Dalton was a problem, Emma should think twice about taking the job.

Anna brought Outback to Laura’s office and said she was sorry. She had no other option. Laura said she loved dogs. Where was the PCPD on the fire at Charlie’s and the disappearance of Marco Rios? Anna said what they could prove and what they believed were two different things. They believed Sidwell used Selina Wu’s people to torch Charlie’s. Laura said, to ram home that Sonny was a magnet for violence, and Anna said they recovered the bodies of the ops in the water. Laura said, but they can’t prove it. What about Marco? Anna said, Marco claimed he had a flat tire. Lucas filed a complaint against Sonny, but without a victim, they don’t have a crime. A woman stormed in and said Laura was having a meeting with the perpetrator of the crime she wanted to report, but she’d wait.

Laura said they were in the middle of a meeting and the woman should make an appointment, but the woman said it couldn’t wait. She spent a lot of money to maintain her apartment. Anna introduced the woman as Mabel, the president of the HOA, and Mabel said they didn’t allow dogs, and Anna was in direct violation. Anna said she didn’t have any pets, and Laura asked if Mabel had proof. Mabel said she listened to it morning, noon, and night, and barking came from her phone. Anna said, that could be any dog, when Outback barked at herself.

On the phone, Emma said thanks for getting back to her. She was wondering when she could pick up the key to the lecture hall… What did they mean, it was canceled?

Martin said Willow had to prove she was stable and no more erratic behavior in public. The court was interested in reuniting children with their mothers, but it would take time. Drew suggested they focus on Michael, but Martin said, no. Unless he had a video of Michael robbing a bank, Michael looked like saint. He’d been badly injured when his wife left him for his uncle. He knew Drew thought if he got Willow’s kids back, she’d be grateful and throw herself at him, but that wasn’t the way to do it. Drew said he wanted to remind Willow how much he loved her and how far he’d go for her.

Kristina suggested Alexis ask Drew now, but Alexis said it involved groveling and she’d rather not have witnesses. Molly said, why didn’t they go to the pool, if it was okay with Kristina, and Kristina said it got easier every time. She’d go over ahead and get a table. Alexis asked if she looked calm, accepting, and reasonable, and Molly told her to remember she was doing it for Sam. Alexis said that’s what she needed to hear, and got up.

Drew said if they couldn’t find anything incriminating, they could dig something up on Sonny, but Martin said it was risky. Alexis said she was sorry to interrupt, but would Martin mind if she had a word alone with Drew. Martin said he had a matter to attend to, and Drew told him, just get it done. Martin left, and Drew asked what he could do for Alexis. Alexis said it wasn’t for her. It was for Scout.

Stella asked Elizabeth to sign a document about a patient’s hypertension so she could get her medication paid for by insurance. Elizabeth said the patient had been on the medication forever and she couldn’t believe they still had to sign a document. Stella said it was satisfying when insurance companies were forced to do the right thing and pay for treatment, and Elizabeth said they made her want to pull her hair out – and theirs. What would they do without Stella?

Martin met Ric at the MetroCourt bar, and Ric said he wanted to retain Martin as his personal legal counsel. Martin said his rates just went up.

Ava took ice cubes out of her water and rubbed them on herself. She told Cody that he should try it, but he said he didn’t think he was as tough as she was. She said she thought he was plenty tough and would prove it to him. She rubbed the ice on him, and said, refreshing. He said it was definitely something, when Kristina walked in.

Brook told Sonny that they were planning on going to the police, but the vote was no, and he said he’d never knowingly expose her or the company to anything illegal. She said she knew it was a mistake, and he said he was glad they talked. The most important thing was to never lose the connection they had. She said that wasn’t possible, and they hugged.

Lucy told Sidwell that Sonny was devested of the company. They thought they’d go to the police, but then voted against it at their meeting. It was better to let things lie. Sidwell asked who was for and against it, and Lucy said, irony of ironies, she, Tracy, and Brook voted against it. Maxie wanted to go to the police, but her stepfather was Chief of Detectives. She did think Maxie was a team player… at least she hoped.

Emma told Gio that the lecture was cancelled because the lecture hall didn’t pass the fire code. She bet her grandmother was behind it. She thought Anna would do what it took to block her from getting close to Dalton. Gio asked what they do now, and she said she wasn’t waiting for the perfect opportunity. She was going to make it happen.

Mabel said Anna thought she was above the law, but had to follow the rules. She didn’t know if Laura could afford to associate herself with another flagrant lawbreaker. She left, and Anna said, sorry. She’d do what she could to make Outback quieter. Laura said she didn’t think it would be enough for Mabel. She’d had other issues with Mabel in the past. She made her voice heard, loudly, and didn’t let things drop. She’d be a headache for Anna and her. She was sorry, but Anna was going to have to find another home for Outback.

Stella told Elizabeth that Ric’s office got in touch with her about being a character witness for Willow. He was going above and beyond. Elizabeth said Ric made mistakes, but there was good in him. That’s why she was never able to turn her back on him completely. Stella said Willow was lucky to have Elizabeth in her life, but Elizabeth said she was just being a friend. Ric was doing the heavy lifting. Stella said it seemed Ric would do just about anything for her.

Martin said he was officially Ric’s lawyer and attorney/client privilege applied. It must be important. Ric said, and very lucrative. He’d entered a partnership with Ava and needed to extricate himself and sever ties. It had to be legal and airtight, and Ava couldn’t know until the last possible moment.

Cody said Ava was a gorgeous woman. The last time they were this close, she slapped him. She said maybe it was risk he ought to be willing to take, and they kissed.

Kristina told Molly that some obnoxious teenagers were at the pool. Maybe they should go to the lake.

Alexis told Drew that Scout loved her dance class and she, Kristina, and Molly wanted to take her to the ballet in New York. She believed Scout had the second Friday in September free from school and they’d like to take her with his permission. He said it would have been nice, but he was taking Scout to DC to visit schools for when they moved.

🫔 Friday’s Enchilada…

Jason finds Alexis waiting in the Quartermaine foyer and she says she’s waiting for Yuri. She wanted to see Monica and he was letting her know. Jason says he saw Yuri upstairs and Yuri asked him to tell her that Monica isn’t seeing any visitors today. Alexis says she’s sorry to hear that, and he says he guesses she was hoping for a different answer. She says she didn’t want to intrude, especially if Monica isn’t feeling well. 😐 It’s just that this is really important to him and she might be the only one who can help.

Drew finds Elizabeth in the breakroom and says, there she is. She says, this is a staff only space. What is he doing in here? He says, sorry to bother her in here and he doesn’t need any details, but he was just hoping she could tell him something, anything about how Willow is doing. She says, it’s not her place, but he says, please. He’s begging her. He’s going crazy over here. She says, Willow is doing her best to put her life back together, and he says, right. The life she thinks he destroyed.

Portia tells Isaiah that she hears applause is in order. He’s fresh off a successful 10-hour surgery. Isaiah says, the surgery was successful, but trust him when he tells her that there’s nothing fresh going on over here. He’s excited at the prospect of a shower. She says, congratulations then, and he thanks her. He’s glad to see she’s still here. She says she’s glad to be here and can happily report she has no plans to leave.

At the park, Jordan jogs past Curtis, then stops. He says, this is silly, and she says, that’s one word for it. They can’t keep doing it.

Lulu finds Dante in Laura’s office, and she says her mom’s assistant told her to come in. She didn’t realize he’d be here. He says he didn’t realize she’d be here. He guesses her mom is finishing a meeting down the hall. Lulu says, why they’re here is a mystery. What did her mom want to see them for? He says he doesn’t know. Her guess is as good as his. He’s assuming it has something to do with Rocco.

Carly tells Jack that she’s been thinking. Donna is going to be with Sonny this weekend. Maybe they could get away. Jack says, getting away. Are two busy highly in demand people allowed to do such a thing? She says she thinks so, and he says, okay. Good. Is she thinking somewhere tropical? She says she was thinking somewhere more local like the Finger Lakes. Has he ever been? He says, no, but he hears they have lovely vineyards, and she says, it will be like a lost weekend away with wine tasting, just the two of them. Can he take off? He says, if it’s for her, anything, when Anna comes by. She says, sorry to interrupt, but she and Carly have some unfinished business.

Britt lounges by the resort pool, and Pascal says, if he may ask, what exactly is she doing? She says, writing the next great America novel. What does it look like she’s doing? He says she should be in the lab. He’s expecting results. She says, it’s so disappointing when your expectations aren’t met, isn’t it? Tell him that she’s on strike.

Jason tells Alexis that Monica is fighting a virus and it’s really tough. Some days are just better than others. Alexis says, and today’s not a better day. She’s sorry she put him on the spot. He says he knows she was hoping to see Monica, but is there anything he can do? She says she’s afraid he wouldn’t be able to help at all, and he asks, why? She says, it’s about his brother moving to DC and taking Scout with him.

Drew tells Elizabeth that he gets why Willow wants to distance herself from him right now, but the idea she’s got about what happened between him and Nina is wrong. He wants her to know the truth. He loves her so much. Elizabeth says she feels horrible about what happened, and he says he has to do something to fix it, but she says, some things can’t be fixed, at least not right now. Some things need time and space to heal. He says, but Willow’s lost everything. He’s not leaving her to fend for herself when the entire world is against her. She says, hold on. Willow has an entire community of people here at GH who respect her, support her, and want the best for her, including herself. She’s not alone and despite what Drew thinks, she hasn’t lost everything. He says she knows how he operates. She knows he needs to fix it. She says, he can’t. Willow needs to fix it herself.

Jordan asks how Curtis is doing in the aftermath of the earthquake at the altar. She sees Drew going one of two ways. Either he’s completely distracted by the fallout or blaming everyone else and lashing out as usual. He says, believe it or not, Drew came to him wanting a truce, and she asks if he saw it as a believable possibility. He says, let’s say he’s not being quick to let his guard down, but he’s going to take it, and she says, makes sense. He knew Drew when he was an honest man. Maybe that man is still in there somewhere. He says, yeah. Speaking of honest, he and Portia talked everything out and decided they were going to put in the work to fix their marriage. She says, fantastic, and he says, it is. They want to give themselves a second chance. He has no delusions that it’s going to happen overnight, but it wouldn’t have happened at all if not for her.

Portia tells Isaiah that she’s at the point where she can’t say her professional situation is completely resolved, but things look favorable. She has reason to assume she’s sticking around. Isaiah says, that’s good news for the hospital and him, and she says she’s grateful for his support. He made her feel less alone through the whole thing. She has one other thing to tell him. He’s been very tactful on the subject of her marriage, but she’s sure he’s aware that she and Curtis… things have been strained. He says he may have picked up on that, yes, and she says she’s happy to report that the strain is gone.

Carly says it’s nice of Anna to fit her into her busy schedule, but right now she’s in a little conversation with Jack. Anna had plenty of opportunity to talk to her the other night when she called and asked to meet, but Anna never showed up. Call her lawyer and they’ll talk. Anna says, they don’t need to involve Diane. In her defense, she’s the Police Commissioner and sometimes she does get held hostage to events. Carly asks, what is it? What’s so important Anna has to tell her this second? Anna says, unfortunately, what she has to discuss involves a close member of Carly’s family.

Dante tells Lulu that it’s probably his fault. Her mom called and had him there to talk about police business and they ended up talking about Rocco. Lulu says, that does happen around her mom. She’s a good person to talk to. He says, yeah, she is. They got close while Lulu was gone. He, Laura, and Rocco are tight. She says she knows and she’s glad they had each other when she couldn’t be here, when Laura comes in. She says she’s sorry to keep them waiting, but it was for a good cause. She was putting Ezra Boyle in his place in a City Council meeting. Now she can give them her full, undivided attention. Lulu asks, what’s going on? and Laura says, there’s something they have to do. How they do it depends largely on them, but she thinks they’re up to the task because it’s for Rocco. Dante asks, what is it? What does she want them to do? Laura says she wants them to make peace with Leisl Obrecht.

Anna asks if Carly is aware that her brother came to the PCPD and made a claim that Marco Rios was abducted by Sonny, and Carly asks, what’s there to discuss? It has nothing to do with her and as far as she knows, Marco is fine and has no allegations against Sonny. Anna says, the fact remains that her brother made a complaint, and she has to follow up on it. Does Carly have any information relevant to Marco’s alleged abduction? Carly says she doesn’t and she’s not doing this. She’s got to go talk to the chef, who has an issue with the soufflé. Don’t wait. Soufflés tend to take a minute. She leaves and Jack scowls at Anna.

Lulu says Laura can’t be suggesting they meet with Obrecht. What good would it do? Laura says, it would give Rocco something he desperately needs, but Lulu says, Rocco needs protection. She doesn’t want him anywhere near that woman. Laura says she understands that – really, she does – and she knows why they feel the way they do about Leisl and Britt. But for better or worse, Rocco feels differently. Dante says, he wants to know about Britt, but there’s got to be someone other than Obrecht that he can talk to. Laura says she wishes there was, but in some ways, maybe Obrecht is the best. Lulu says, who knows what lies Obrecht is telling him? She could be saying anything. Laura says, okay. All Rocco needs is some sort of confirmation that the woman who carried him and gave birth to him wasn’t a horrible person. Lulu says, but she was, and Laura says, maybe she was, but she was more than that. She’s not asking them to forgive Britt or making excuses for her, but Britt isn’t the important person here; Rocco is the important person. She’s sure they can all agree. Dante says, absolutely, and Lulu says, of course (🍷). Laura says, if they keep treating Obrecht like a monster, and forbid Rocco to see or even speak to her, they’re going to force Rocco to go around them. And she knows they don’t want him sneaking around behind their backs. Dante says, definitely not, and Laura says, so if they want Rocco to trust them, she thinks they have to give him the room he needs to learn more about himself. Either way, it will be out in the open and safe for Rocco. Dante tells Lulu that her mom is right. He doesn’t like Obrecht and doesn’t trust her, but it’s not about him. It’s what their son needs. Lulu says she knows, but she definitely doesn’t want Rocco to seek Obrecht out on his own under circumstances they can’t control. Laura says, so maybe what they can do is come up with a safe way for Rocco to engage with Obrecht and get the information he needs, and Dante says, then they can move past this and be done with this whole thing – for Rocco. Lulu asks if her mom – or should she say, Mayor Collins – would arrange a meeting for all of them with Leisl Obrecht.

Jordan says she’s happy Curtis and Portia decided to work things through. Hopefully, they’ll come out on the other side even stronger, but why is he thanking her? Curtis says, because she was honest with him about what was happening between them. For a moment there, it would have been incredibly easy to fall back on the nostalgia of what they once shared, but she put a stop to that and he’s grateful. She says she didn’t do it alone. It was a mutual decision. They both agreed that giving each other distance was the right thing to do. He says, they did, and she says, the question is, where does that leave them now?

Isaiah says, sounds like good news all around, professionally and personally, and Portia says, it is. What about him? Clearly, he’s excelling professionally, but what about personally. Is he getting out there? He says, the only thing getting his attention outside work, is a cabin he’s renovating. She says, he has a cabin? and he says, more like a money pit in the woods. It was a gift from a friend. He’s making it more livable, but it’s taken more resources than he anticipated. She says, everyone needs an escape. She’s sure it will be worth it in the end. He says, it will. Most worthwhile things require effort. Maybe he’ll take a detour through the park. He could use the fresh air before he goes home to crash. She says, he’s headed home after a 10-hour surgery, so she doesn’t want him driving to wherever the cabin is without some rest. He promises to head home first, and she says, get home safe. He says he will, and leaves. Stella approaches Portia at the nurse’s station.

Drew tells Elizabeth that he understands people think he got what he deserved for keeping his brief affair with Nina a secret. The reason he didn’t tell Willow about that is because it didn’t matter. Nina doesn’t matter. Elizabeth says she’s sure that came out more harshly than he intended, and he tells her that what he’s trying to say is, when he and Willow connected and started to fall in love, that was it for him. She was it for him. He wanted to take her and the kids away and go to DC and get away from it all. There had been so much hostility and betrayal, he wanted a fresh start. Then Curtis and his misguided self-righteousness blew the whole thing apart. She says she’s sure he thought he was doing the right thing for Willow, and he says, be honest. Does she really think Willow will be better off now?

Alexis tells Jason, Drew is Scout’s only living parent. Believe her, anytime he’s even looking in her direction, she treads carefully because she’s just Scout’s grandma. She can’t afford to alienate him. Jason says, she’s worried he’ll cut her off from Scout, and she says, of course (🍷) she’s worried. Who knows what Drew will do? His behavior has been astonishingly unpredictable and horrible. He slept with his nephew’s wife, ruined their marriage, and slept with her mother. Who does that? Then he decided to force Scout to live with Willow and her children with Scout’s mother only gone 6 months. He says he knows. He’s sorry. It’s not what Sam would have wanted. She says, Sam wanted the kids to stay together, and he says, exactly. That’s why he and Danny moved in here. She says, believe her, she tried every which way to make Drew understand that Scout doesn’t need less stability and less family. She needs more. Every time she thinks she got through, there’s some ketamine fiasco or aborted wedding or he decides to move to DC, ripping away everyone and everything Scout loves. Jason says he’s sorry. It’s not fair to Scout. She says, no, it’s not, and it’s not fair to Sam. She just wanted the kids to be happy. He says, Sam worked hard to make that happen when she was here too, and Alexis says, apparently, Drew doesn’t care. He just cares about Drew, what he wants and needs. Meanwhile, there’s a little girl still in mourning for her mother. Isn’t it supposed to be about what Scout needs?

Stella tells Portia that she doesn’t want to make it more awkward than it already is, so she’ll rip the band-aid off. How close is she to Dr. Gannon? Portia says, he’s her colleague and friend, and Stella says she understands that, but Portia is Co-Chief of Staff, so he also reports directly to her. Portia says she’s aware of that, and Stella says she’s just asking because she’s concerned. Portia doesn’t want to run the risk of the friendship being perceived as professional impropriety.

Curtis says he values Jordan’s friendship. After everything they’ve shared over the years, he just doesn’t think throwing it all away is right, but it’s her call. She says, neither does she. Now that he and Portia recommitted to their marriage, the lines and boundaries are clear again. Which means they can safely continue their friendship. He says, great. Okay. With that in mind, how is her situation with Sidwell treating her? She says, he may not believe it, but honestly, in some ways, she’s never been better.

Jack asks Anna, what the hell was that? What was she referring to? She clearly had no intention of telling Carly about Josslyn, so why the whole song and dance with Carly’s brother? Was she having fun at his expense? Anna says, not entirely, but it was definitely a perk. She wanted to see how it would be potentially, telling Carly that he recruited her daughter to the WSB and then after some expedited training, he shipped her off into the field on assignment that she clearly doesn’t have the necessary training or experience for. God knows what can go wrong. He says, but she didn’t tell Carly, and she won’t, because that would be treason.

Pascal tells Britt that he’s spoken to security about the lab and they’re overseeing the repair of the air filtration system right now. He regrets the inconvenience. She says, it’s not an inconvenience. It’s the air filtration system. There’s no circulation and the lab is sweltering. She knows he doesn’t care what it does to her, but he should be concerned about the computers and servers. If the temperature overheats them, where would they be? He says, the repair team is working and there’s been a partial restoration of the system, so she should be quite comfortable to continue her work. She says she doesn’t do quite comfortable. Delicate work requires perfect conditions, and similarly, she requires perfect conditions. So until the system is completely repaired to her specifications, she’s not working. He wouldn’t want her to make a mistake, would he? Especially on his watch.

Jason says, Alexis is right. He’s the last person Drew is going to listen to, especially about Scout. Alexis says, that’s why she wanted to talk to Monica. Drew is desperate for her to accept him. Her opinion might be the only thing that matters to him at this point. He says, except Willow, and she says she doesn’t think Willow would be much help at this juncture. She really doesn’t want to intrude on Monica, but she doesn’t want to lose Scout and doesn’t want Scout to lose everybody. He says, she hasn’t seen Danny or Rocco much either, and she says, if Drew moves to DC, they’ll only see her two or three times a year. That’s not enough. He says, no, it isn’t. Scout needs more and Sam would demand more of them. She asks if he’d please talk to Monica. Ask if it’s possible for her to dissuade Drew from moving. Would he do it for Scout? He says, and for Sam.

Elizabeth tells Drew that she doesn’t know if Willow is better off than before, but she knows Willow is making her own decisions based on truth. She promises she’s not judging. She’s been caught up in situations where she didn’t want to hurt someone, but her lies ended up hurting everyone. He says he just wants to give Willow everything she needs, and she says, Willow is going to get it, but the best thing for him to do right now is to respect her and give her the time and space she’s asking for, so she can figure things out. Who knows? Maybe they’ll find an honest way back to each other. He says, you know what? As much as he hates every minute of what’s happening right now, he’d hate it even more if Willow didn’t have Elizabeth. He says he’ll see her soon, and leaves.

Anna tells Jack that her hands are tied. She won’t tell Carly, not yet at least. She can’t do anything to extricate Josslyn. He says, good. She seems to have a grasp of the basics. She says, what she wants him to know is, treason or not, national security or not, if anything happens to that girl, she will tell Carly that while they were making plans for a romantic weekend, her daughter was risking her life on his orders. Anna leaves.

Laura thanks Obrecht for joining them on such short notice, and Obrecht says, when she mentioned it pertained to Rocco, she moved some things around. Family is paramount. Laura says, please, sit down, and all of them take a seat. Laura says she knows Lulu and Dante were anxious to talk to Dr. Obrecht directly, and Obrecht says she’s pleased to have the opportunity to speak to them both. She knows that their only interest is Rocco’s welfare, and her hope is that they can speak civilly. Lulu says, so do they, and Laura coughs. Lulu says she’d also like to apologize for overreacting at the MetroCourt. She was shocked to see Obrecht with Rocco, but realized she was a guest of the hotel and Rocco works at the pool, so she was out of line. Obrecht says she accepts Lulu’s apology. It’s important for her to impress upon them both that she didn’t seek out Rocco. He reached out to her. He had questions. Dante says, and she just hopped on a plane and came to town to answer them, but Obrecht says she does have family here, so there are multiple reasons why she chose to visit Port Charles. In the spirit of full transparency, she welcomed the opportunity to reconnect with Rocco. Her hope had always been that he’d reach out someday and want to know her. Laura says, that’s understandable, and Obrecht says she’d always want any place in Rocco’s life, but it would be his choice, not hers. Dante says, Rocco is 15 years old. He doesn’t get to make those decisions yet. Until he’s an adult, when it comes to seeing her, that is a decision that they as parents will make.

Portia says she’s set clear boundaries with everyone who reports to her, and Stella says, of course (🍷). She’s just trying to help. Portia says, she already has, and Stella asks, how? Portia says, Stella picked up on the tension between her and Curtis, but she didn’t pry. She let them work it out all on their own. Stella says she wants the best for Portia and Curtis. She loves them both. Portia says she knows that, and they love her too. She wants Stella to know that the things she and Curtis are working on in their relationship have nothing to do with Dr. Gannon.

Curtis says, what about being on Sidwell’s payroll is working out so well? and Jordan says, the work is interesting. She’s challenged by something every day. She’s missed that. He says he would have thought being Deputy Mayor had its fair share of challenges, but she says, more like annoyances. It was challenging too, but she’s making more money. He says, at what cost? She’s working for a morally bankrupt and potentially dangerous man. She says, don’t get her wrong. She doesn’t trust Sidwell. She’s as committed as ever to taking him down. But in the meantime, she’s thankful to have people like him and Laura in her corner, so she doesn’t run the risk of losing sight of the goal. In fact, she made a move to fortify her cover. She’s put down an offer on an apartment befitting the COO of a multinational corporation and it was accepted.

Laura says she’s sure Obrecht understands Dante and Lulu’s need to create some boundaries to protect their son, but Obrecht says, at what cost? He’s rapidly becoming a young man and deserves a measure of autonomy where he can develop and trust his own instincts. Don’t they agree? Lulu says they’re not here to explain or defend how they parent their son. Rocco is interested in how he came to be. Obrecht says, of course (🍷) he is. He wants to know about her Britta. She gave him life after all. Laura says, what Obrecht is saying is that Rocco sees her as a source of information. Dante and Lulu would like to create an environment where Rocco can receive that information. Lulu says, they were thinking Obrecht could come to her house one evening. Rocco could ask her questions, and she could give him answers. They’d be there of course (🍷). Obrecht says, just so she’s clear, they’re offering a supervised meeting between her and Rocco, and Dante says, that’s right. Obrecht says, will they regulate their questions and answers? Perhaps they’d like to approve beforehand what they say. Would they like a transcript? Lulu says, there need to be safety measures in place, and Obrecht asks, would those safety measures apply to her mother? Laura says she’s sorry, but she thinks their circumstances are vastly different, but Obrecht says, the only difference is, Laura has had the opportunity to develop a loving relationship with her grandson. She’d like the same. Lulu says, Rocco has two grandmothers and she’s not one of them, and Obrecht says, whatever else they call her, her Britta carried Rocco and gave birth to him. It’s her blood in his veins. So some might say, she’s not only his grandmother, but Britt is as much Rocco’s mother as Lulu is.

Pascal tells Britt, the problem with the air filtration system has been resolved and the lab is at 68* F, per her specifications. It is operating at peak efficiency. Britt says, congratulations on doing his job. Unfortunately, it’s too late. She’s had a few too many cocktails and she’s heading in to take a nap. She’ll let him know when she decides what she’d like for dinner. She starts to leave, but Pascal grabs her arm. He says, there are ways to sober her up and ensure she stays that way. Should he show her?

Jason says, Monica will talk to Drew as soon as possible, and Alexis says, thank Monica for her. She thanks him too, and says she doesn’t know what she would have done if he hadn’t helped. He says, Monica is glad to help and so is he, and she says she hopes it works.

Portia tells Stella that she and Curtis have been struggling, and the struggle is far from over, but they did talk, and they both decided they want to fight for their marriage. Stella says, thank goodness for that. Otherwise, she’d have to talk some serious sense into the two of them. Portia says, they would have loved it because they love her, and Stella says, what they love is her minding her own business. Portia tells her, she said it, and they hug. Watching them, Drew takes out his phone and makes a call. He says, this is Congressman Cain. Put me through to Financial Services. I’d like to open an insurance fraud investigation. (Just when we thought Drew couldn’t get any worse. I had the feeling this was coming, but I was hoping I was wrong.)

Jordan tells Curtis that she was assigned an inspector today. They’re doing a walk-through next week. Curtis says he’s been on more walk-throughs than he can count, so why doesn’t he go with her? She says she can’t ask him to do that, but he says, she’s not asking; he’s offering. In fact, he insists. She says, if he insists, and he asks where her apartment is. She says, see the Harper View Towers? and he says, yeah. She says, two rooftops to the right, three floors down. That’s her. He says, all that’s her? and she says, the whole thing. He says, look at that. She’s going to have a full view of the harbor, just she like did in Baltimore. She says, yeah. She really feels like things have come full circle, but in a new way. Isaiah sees them and frowns.

Dante says, they’re not letting their son anywhere near Obrecht. His grandmother? Really? She’s deranged. Britt is not Rocco’s mother. Lulu is. What her daughter did was absolutely horrific. She was their doctor, and they trusted her. She betrayed that trust when he and Lulu were at their most vulnerable moment. They both did. Obrecht didn’t just steal a sample; she stole their embryo. Obrecht says, had Britta not carried that child, they would not have a son. They’d just have a frozen embryo, which at this point probably wouldn’t be viable. Laura looks like she has a headache, and Dante asks what the hell Obrecht is talking about. They would have found their own surrogate, someone they chose and trusted, to bring Rocco into the world. Obrecht asks if they know how many embryos don’t take. Don’t deceive themselves into believing that there was any other way for them to get a son. Laura says, they’re going to stop now. They’re not here to relitigate the past. They’re here to meet Rocco’s needs. Obrecht wonders if providing Rocco’s needs requires the vilification of her daughter and her contribution, and Lulu says, contribution? Obrecht says, her daughter gave them a miracle. She herself was a miracle. Dante says, actually, her daughter was a criminal and so is she. Actually, he knows she’s something way worse and he knows that firsthand. Obrecht says, how dare he, and he says, she’s forgetting he knows who she is and what she is. She tried to mess with his head and make him her personal assistant. Does she remember that part, because he sure as hell does. Obrecht says, ancient history, detective, and he says, detective. That’s where she’s right. He’s going to hunt down every warrant with her name on it and use them to throw her in a jail cell. Unless of course (🍷) she decides to skip town before he has the chance. She says, so how is Dante going to tell his son that he put his grandmother, the only person who has the answers he seeks, in a jail cell?

In a private area at the MetroCourt, Carly brings two glasses and a bottle of wine over to Jack and says, a preview for the weekend. He says, perfect, and she says she sees that Anna listened and left. He says, she just wanted to spar again. Old habits die hard. She says, her brother did open the door by going to the cops, but she doesn’t want to think about her brother or Sonny, and definitely doesn’t want to think about Anna. Hell, she doesn’t even want to be mad at Anna. Jack asks if she wants him to mad for her, but she says, no. She’s really grateful to Anna. Anna called and told her that she thought Josslyn was in over her head with that Vaughn guy. She appreciated that, and Josslyn is now in Australia away from him, taking time for herself. It’s great. He says, Josslyn has a good head on her shoulders. He’s sure she’ll be fine. Carly says she agrees. So they’ll drink to a fabulous weekend away. No MetroCourt, no WSB, and definitely no Anna Devane. They clink glasses, and Jack says he has to tell her something. He hasn’t been completely honest with her.

Pascal says it seems he’s reached a breaking point with regard to her petulance, and Britt says, let go of her, for his own sake. He wouldn’t like Pascal treating her this way. Pascal says, what he doesn’t like are delays and she’s been causing more than her fair share lately. Josslyn and Vaughn come by, and Vaughn says, excuse me. Where do we check in? Britt stays with her back to them.

Anna goes to the Quartermaines, and Jason says, they’re alone. She says, okay. She’s been thinking about their conversation about Britt maybe being out there alive. She was wrong. He says, about what? and she says, him leaving Britt alone. She no longer thinks that. He needs to find her as soon as he can.

On Monday, Laura says, if Obrecht wants to be a part of Rocco’s life, she has to earn it; Ava tells Nina that she can handle Cody Bell; Alexis asks if Molly is in favor of Drew and Scout going to DC; and Jason asks Anna to tell him what she knows and how she knows it.

💉 A Dose Of Reality…

Below Deck

Captain Kerry said he’d never seen someone as out of control as guest Kelly. She’d gone from zero to a thousand in a second. Kelly called them p*ssies as the water police drove her to shore. primary Helen accompanying her. Fraser was hoping to save their tip, and it was time for cowboy night. I don’t think bouillabaisse is cowboy food though. Shouldn’t that be barbecue or campfire food? And honestly, I can’t keep this boatmance stuff straight at this point. Babara, Solène, Jess… Is it three women? Two women and a man? Two men and a woman? Something in between or is it all of them? I have no idea.

The Valley

It’s amazing how Jax says all the right things. He totally understands how f***ed up he is and what he needs to do in order to change. Yet, his actions bely him. Nothing ever changes. Andy said he saw Jax take more accountability than he ever had, but I dunno. Been here before… and before that… and before that… Andy asked if he was still in love with Brittany, but I question whether he ever really was. Narcissists only seem to really love themselves. Zack went humana-humana when Andy asked why he’d said he wanted Janet to miscarry. Like Jax, Jesse admitted what a horrible human being he’d been and how he wanted to change. This will last exactly until next season. When Danny’s drinking came up, it was another thing Jax was really, really sorry, sorry for. Barnacle Zack felt the need to contribute, but I don’t think anyone paid attention to him at that point.

Real Housewives Of Miami

Julia suggested getting Alexis out of Miami or she would go back to Todd. In Marysol’s interview, she said she couldn’t keep up with the roller coaster of Alexia’s emotions. Guerdy bonded with Dr. Jackie (Married to Medicine), who breast cancer survivor twice. Julia thought it would be good for all of them to reunite and suggested Stephanie talk with Alexia. She wanted everyone to come back hunky-dory. Where was Kathy Hilton when you needed her? Kiki told Marysol that Guerdy claimed she and Alexia were like a cult, and Marysol said it made them sound sinister. They decided on Alexia’s favorite place, Spain, and Marysol asked if Guerdy felt comfortable since she thought they were a cult. Alexia asked if Guerdy wanted to be part of the friend group, but Guerdy said she was just trying to vibe. Guerdy whined to Julia about feeling hurt at the Grecian party. She hadn’t known how to express her hurt, so she did it by putting Julia’s texts on blast at her Celebration of Life party. They hugged it out and I can safely say, Julia is a bigger person than I’d be. After toasting to the trip to Spain – courtesy of Steph Air – Stephanie and Alexia talked privately. No surprise, the others tried to peek through the window. There was major discussion about Stephanie calling Alexia a chihuahua and Alexia saying, no, she was a Rottweiler, then Stephanie milking the joke for too long. Honestly, I can think of worse things to call people and more important things to argue about.

Real Housewives Of Orange County

There was a lot about Tamra showing the fat photo (their word, not mine) of Jenn to Fancy Pants Heather. Fancy Pants told Jenn that Tamra had claimed Jenn wanted to be her. As usual, Fancy Pants was stirring the pot, but not committing, telling Jenn to look at it from one’s perspective. Um… the only one who thinks that is Tamra. And from her POV, all those of us who have lost weight and/or gone blonder want to be her, which probably makes up a good percentage of the female population in the US. Gina planned a trip to New Orleans, a wonderful choice for a group of women who have a hard time drinking and acting sane. Tamra is so mean. In her interview, she ragged on Gretchen’s outfit, saying she plugged rich girl detective into Shein’s website and got it for $15. Like, why even say something like that? I can only come to the conclusions that she’s mega insecure. Several cast members brought up the fact that Tamra claimed to be working on changing and was going through a lot of therapy, but it wasn’t translating. Server Joe spilled an espresso martini down Fancy Pants’ back, which was rather satisfying.

Yeah, for a NOLA minute.

I like Denise. She can be messy, but I like her. I think she’s funny and she loves animals. So I’m all for her being anywhere on Bravo.

Apparently, not everyone feels like me.

I can’t wait to see what Mary brings to the table this time.

👀 Last Weekend’s Watch…

Trainwreck: Storm Area 51. Netflix. Like a backwards War of the Worlds, this was ultimately a joke gone sideways. Thinking he’d give his 40 followers a laugh, Matty Roberts posted about a fake storming of Area 51. The post went viral, the military got involved, the neighboring town got burned (figuratively, not like that party gone wrong), and the outcome was a photo op outside the air force base and a concert in Las Vegas. And Matty went back to his job at the video store vape kiosk. It was amusing and there were actually some tense moments where the military had to make some hard decisions. As for me, I don’t believe there are aliens there, but I do believe something very classified is. Sometimes it’s better not to know.

The Assessment. Hulu. In a futuristic society, potential parents are put through a rigorous assessment to determine if they’re fit to have a child. The article author found this deeper and more meaningful than I did. While I thought the acting was superb, I found it a little tedious and the character of Virginia (the assessor and pseudo child) more annoying than captivating. I wondered if she was doing her job or she was just a whack job. But then again, my only children are furkids, so maybe I missed something. On the other hand, Nightbitch was also primarily about parenting and I totally got it and identified.

Final Destination Bloodlines. HBO/MAX. You already know the gist of it – you can’t cheat death. When it’s your time, you’re going, no matter how you try to avoid it. I’m pretty sure I only saw the first one in its entirety, although I’ve caught bits and pieces on cable over the years. My guess would be this was the best one yet. I loved the Rube Goldberg/Mouse Trap game aspect leading up to the deaths, and the special effects were phenomenal. I kind of wished I’d seen it on the big screen just for that tower collapsing. (No spoiler. Come on. It was in the TV ads.) It had a solid sense of humor too. Even the credits gave me a laugh. Although it was sort of bad timing to see a guy sucked into an MRI machine, since that actually happened IRL recently.

One spoiler.

Coherence. Peacock, Tubi, et al. It’s a party. Ketamine or cheese? A comet falls, alternate realities happen, interpersonal relationships interfere. Apparently, a lot of this was improved, which was actually a thought that crossed my mind while watching it. The reviewer got it right in saying, We have here a variation on the basic Night of the Living Dead situation: a crisis that is, ultimately, very survivable turns into a huge problem because he characters are idiots, and they get to petty infighting the second things go wrong. Mild spoilers.

Twisted Metal. Peacock. Season 2 just began, but I’m late to this series party, so I just started Season 1. So far, I’m loving this post-apocalyptic romp. And wondering why video games translate so well to film.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Cody says, James went for a swim, eh? and James says he didn’t mean to. Cody says he knows. Everything is going to be okay. Mac asks if James is all right, and James says, Cody saved him. Mac says he can see that.

Laura’s office phone rings and she says, send her right in. And when her other guest arrives, send him right in too. Anna comes in, and Laura thanks her for taking the time to meet. Anna says, of course (🍷). It sounded important. Laura says, it is. They’re meeting with the new WSB station chief. Anna says, Jack Brennan. No grass grows under his feet.

At the hospital, Alexis says, Kristina’s room is all ready. She’s welcome to stay as long as she wants, and Alexis will try not to smother her, although she thinks a little smothering would be okay. They’ll call it pampering. Kristina says she’s sorry, and Alexis asks, what for? Kristina says she’s just not in a good mood. Alexis says, she’s allowed to be in whatever mood she wants to be in, and Kristina says she guesses she thought she’d be happy or at least relieved to leave the hospital. But she’s just realizing that when she walks out that door, that’s when her life starts over. Everything starts over again now, only without her baby.

In the hospital breakroom on the phone, Curtis says, talk to me before you make any moves… Okay. Sounds good. Stella pours some coffee, and he says, sorry, but she says, don’t apologize. He says, things are crazy at Aurora, especially with Drew on the campaign trail. Let’s just say, my plate is overflowing. She says she has every confidence he can handle it, and he thanks her for walking them through this administrative paperwork. Planning a funeral, any funeral, is already hard enough, but a baby’s… She says, seems unnatural, doesn’t it? and he says, completely. She says she’s happy to help TJ and Molly any way she can. He asks what they’re looking at, and she says she’s got a jump on most of it. It’s really just the birth certificate that needs their attention now. TJ comes in and says, Molly’s not here? Curtis says, no, not yet. He’s sure she’s on her way. TJ says he told her that they had a small window for this, but Stella says, it’s okay. Don’t worry. She’s not in a rush. TJ says, she can catch up. Let’s get started.

Scotty tells Clement, don’t worry. He’s on his side. Clement asks if he’s with the FBI too, but Scotty says, not exactly. The guy whose meds Clement messed with, Sonny Corinthos, is mad as a hornet. His strong suit is murder, so if Clement wants to get out alive… Clement says he does, and Scotty says, okay. Then hide. He’s Clement’s only hope, and he’ll help.

Ava says, John thinks the surveillance photos could actually help her case, and he says, absolutely. Sonny, and the corrupt cops in his pocket, are trying to spin one narrative, but those photos can tell any story they want, especially when the victim in them is a federal witness. (Will somebody call his boss already? Anna did it once before for a way lesser infraction.)

Sonny tells Jason, who knows how much further Jagger is going to go? They can’t take that risk. Jason says, if Sonny takes out Cates, he’s eliminating an FBI agent. There’s no coming back from that. Sonny says, if Jagger forces his hand, he won’t have a choice.

Maxie shows up at the boathouse with Sasha and Felicia and says she’s so glad James is okay. Come here. She hugs him and says, he cannot keep doing this. He says he’s never fallen into the lake before, but she says she’s not talking about that. She means running away. There are only so many heart attacks she can survive. She asks Felicia to text Spinelli and let him know James was found, and Felicia says, on it. James says he wasn’t trying to scare anyone, and Maxie says she knows he didn’t, but they were all really worried. They’ll talk about this at home. Cody says, let’s cool it on the escape attempts, and James says he wouldn’t have to escape if he was allowed to see Cody. Why can’t he take riding lessons with Cody? Maxie says, now is not the time to tell him this, but he can take riding lessons from Cody, but not because of any of this. No ice cream or video games for two weeks. James says he doesn’t care what she takes away, as long as he can be here. Why did she change her mind? She says, he knows how they talk about owning their mistakes and how it’s really important. Kind of like how he’s going to own this one? She made a huge mistake and agreed he couldn’t take riding lessons with Cody anymore. Mac says, it wasn’t his mom’s mistake. It was his.

Laura asks if Anna didn’t just arrest a Jack Brennan, and Anna says, uh-huh. Laura says, and now they’re going to work with him, and Anna says she was informed of his posting. He’s a fully accredited agent, but the previous activities that took place here in Port Charles were part of a classified operation. Laura asks if that’s all the explanation they’re going to get, and Anna says, apparently. There’s a knock at the door and Jack comes in. He says, Laura’s assistant said he could come in, and Laura says, welcome, Mr. Brennan. He tells her to call him Jack, and they shake hands.

Alexis says she almost forgot, and holds out a key to Kristina. Kristina says she already has a key, but Alexis says, it’s not for her. It’s for Blaze. She figured Blaze would be visiting and she wants Blaze to come and go as she pleases. Kristina says, that’s really very thoughtful of her, but it’s unnecessary because she and Allie broke up. Alexis says, when? and Kristina says, yesterday. Alexis asks, what happened? She thought they were okay. Kristina says, they were, but Allie got this really incredible touring opportunity, and she couldn’t turn it down. Alexis says, she couldn’t, or Kristina wouldn’t let her? Kristina says she couldn’t be the reason Allie stayed. She’s been working toward this her entire life. Alexis says, maybe it was her choice to make. Maybe she wanted to stay and support Kristina. Kristina says, it’s not just about Allie’s career. It’s about her too. She doesn’t even recognize herself right now. Without the baby, she can’t be anything to anyone. Alexis says, for the record, Kristina is something pretty big to her, when Dr. Navarro walks in. She asks if it’s a good time, and Alexis says, of course (🍷). The doctor says she has the results of Kristina’s discharge examination.

Stella says, as TJ can see, most of the information has been filled out, and he thanks her. She says, but there’s still the issue of the baby’s name, and Curtis asks if TJ and Molly ever talked about that. TJ says, they batted ideas around, but they never landed on one specific name, and Stella says, it’s okay. They’ll just use the last name, Lansing-Ashford. And once he and Molly have a chance to talk, they’ll update the certificate. Molly comes in and says, sorry she’s late. She had a meeting with DA Scorpio. TJ says, she couldn’t tell him that she had to leave? and she says, he’s her boss. She got here as fast as she could.

Scotty says he’s got to see a guy about a boat and get some supplies. What kind of snacks does Clement like? They’re going to Spoon Island and there may not be any power over there, so nothing perishable. Clement just looks at him, and Scotty says he’ll just get them some glazed donuts and coffee, so sit tight. He’ll be back. He leaves.

Ava tells John, only one party in those photos went crashing through a window. She thinks it might be a bit of a stretch to paint her as a victim. He says, not if she uses her imagination. She’s a federal witness agreeing to testify against Sonny Corinthos. She says, is she though? and he says, for the sake of this exercise and keeping her out of prison, yeah. Now the picture of her with her hand on Kristina’s arm, that was self-defense, to protect herself from Kristina attacking her. She says, yes, and he says, the look on Kristina’s face was pure rage. She was clearly out of control. So Ava is a federal witness participating in a RICO investigation against Sonny Corinthos. Sonny’s daughter comes to her hotel suite, violent and threatening, intending to shut her up permanently. That is criminal conspiracy and falls within the FBI’s jurisdiction. It also happens to be attempted murder.

Jason suggests they be smart about it and cover every base, and Sonny says, the consequences are too severe not to. Jason says, okay, but if they mess up, they’re talking about a federal agent, a federal crime, life in prison, or worse. Sonny says, Cates won’t stop coming at him. Jason knows that. Jason says he knows, but be clear on what he’s doing, and Sonny says he’s clear on one thing. Cates will not stop going through the people that he loves to get to him. He’s not just going to sit around and wait for Cates to make the next move.

Dr. Navarro says, as Kristina knows, there were concerns after her hemorrhaging about damage to the uterus or her ovaries or both. But she’s happy to report all looks good on those fronts. Alexis says, great. So Kristina will be able to conceive and carry a child in the future. The doctor says, they’ll have to monitor her going forward, but she sees nothing to suggest otherwise. Kristina should be able to make a complete recovery. Kristina thanks her, and Dr. Navarro says, any time. She should be ready for discharge shortly. Alexis thanks her and she leaves. Kristina says, full recovery, and Alexis says, that means her body will heal. Kristina says, what about the rest of her? and Alexis says, that may take a little more time and require a little more work. But Kristina’s heart will get better too. She promises.

Molly asks what she needs to catch up on, and TJ says, everything. Stella says, they were just going over the birth certificate, and TJ says, they just have to give a name to their little girl. Curtis tells her, but like Aunt Stella said, it doesn’t have to be done today, and Stella says, Baby Lansing-Ashford is just fine for right now. TJ says, but they can’t put it off forever, and Stella says, no. The two of them are in a storm. There’s no getting around it. His Grandmother Irene had a knack for being the calm within the storm. She hopes she picked that up from her sister. TJ says, she did, and Curtis says, she’s always been their rock. He kisses her forehead, and she says, Irene was her rock. So she feels like she’s speaking for her when she says, the hardest thing to reconcile during times like this is that life goes on, even during the most horrific tragedy. You want it all to stop. Give you space to process and grieve, but there’s still stuff going on all around you, pulling you in different directions. That’s why it’s so important, especially for couples going through something this profound, that they hold onto each other, to be the anchor through this godawful, wretched storm. She tells Curtis that she’s going to stretch her legs for a bit. She thinks these two need a moment alone. Curtis says, that sounds good, and they leave.

Sonny says he has no intention of being reckless, but that’s what they’re counting on. Jason’s phone rings, and he says, Brick. Any update?… All right. Text him the address. Thanks. He tells Sonny, as soon as Scott Baldwin left the gallery, Brick’s guys tracked him to a part of town he has no business hanging out in. Sonny says, he got to the pharmacist, and Jason says, seems like it. Sonny says, seems like they’re desperate. They have to involve Scotty. Jason says, Cates and Ava both know the walls are closing in, and Sonny says, find Scotty and bring that pharmacist to him. Jason asks if he’s heading to GH, and Sonny says, Kristina’s being discharged today. Keep him posted. Jason says he will, and leaves.

Jack says, it’s quite an honor, and Laura invites him to sit down. She says, since the WSB has decided to open a field office right here in Port Charles and he’s the field chief, she thought it was important they all meet because they have several common interests. Anna says she already informed the mayor that his arrest in December and his incarceration in Pentenville was all part of this covert WSB op. He says, with this op successfully completed, he’s been returned to desk duty, which he much prefers over being in a prison cell. Laura says she’s sure. She takes it that Anna and Jack have worked together previously. Jack says, all the way back to their WSB training days, and Anna says, all the way back. Laura says, then they must have developed sort of a shorthand. Jack says, in a sense, and Laura says, it should help, right? Make communicating a little bit more effective. Jack says, one can only hope, and Laura asks if she may cut to the chase. Anna says, please, and Laura says she thinks they have a unique opportunity here with a WSB outpost here in Port Charles and their shared history and skillsets. Anna asks what kind of an opportunity she’s talking about exactly, and Jack says, it sounds like she has a task in mind. Laura says she wants them to find Valentin Cassadine.

Mac tells James that his feelings were hurt, and he took it out on Cody. Which he regrets, in and of itself, but that it ended up hurting James is the part he hates the most. He hopes James can forgive him. James says, Mac told him that family always forgives each other, and Mac says, that’s right. They do. James asks if he’s mad at Cody, and he says he was, but not anymore. James asks why he was mad at Cody in the first place, and Mac says, because Cody is his son.

James says, Mac is Cody’s dad? and Mac says, that’s right. James says, does that make Cody his uncle? and Cody says, it sure does, buddy. James says, this is so cool, and tells Maxie that Cody is her brother. Maxie says, he is, and James says he does have a question. Why does Cody being Mac’s son make him mad? Mac says, because he just found out and he was angry about all the time they didn’t get to spend together. But it reminded him of a lesson he hopes James can take to heart. Not only does family forgive each other, but they’re the ones who love, no matter what, even when they run away or get mad at us like he did with Cody. So they love each other how? James says, no matter what, and Mac says, no matter what, and hugs James.

TJ says, Aunt Stella’s right, and Molly says, she usually is. He says, they have to hold each other right now, and she says she knows, but if she stands still for even a moment, she’ll be swallowed whole. So she keeps burying herself in work. He asks if that helps, but she says, no. Nothing helps. Not even facing off against Ava. He says, she saw Ava? and she says she went to see Ava in her jail cell in the hopes that she’d confess. Yeah, right. He asks what she said, and Molly says, nothing. It was excuse after excuse. Not there’s anything Ava could actually say that would make this better. That’s the worst part. No matter who they want to blame, their baby is still gone.

Alexis looks at her phone and says she was still hoping Molly had called. They could have Molly and Sam over this week and have Davis Girls night. Kristina says she doesn’t think she or Molly will be in the mood for that, and Alexis asks if she’s spoken to Molly in the last few days. Kristina says, Molly came to see her. She told Molly about how she went to Ava’s and what happened. How she went to Ava’s asking her to lift the subpoena and she refused. And she told Molly how Ava started going in on her family and insulting Alexis and Sonny, and she told Ava that if Ava forced her to testify, she’d tell how Ava murdered Connie and helped kill Morgan. Alexis asks how Molly responded, and Kristina says, she was appalled, especially after she showed Molly the pictures. Molly is as furious as she is.

Anna says, the FBI is already handling this. They’re in pursuit of Valentin now. As far as she’s concerned, that case is beyond her scope as Commissioner. Jack says, the WSB tries not to entangle itself in FBI interests, when it’s at all possible, and Laura says, while she can appreciate both stances, she still thinks they have a unique situation here. And it’s personal for her. Valentin has her granddaughter. Anna says she doesn’t think Laura should be worried about her. With all his faults, Valentin is an excellent father. He would never let any harm come to Charlotte. Laura says, he may not be able to stop it, when her office phone rings. She apologizes and answers it. She says she forgot. She’ll be right out. She says she’s sorry. There’s something she forgot that she has to take care of. It will just take a moment. She hopes they don’t mind waiting. Jack says, not at all, and Anna says, they’ll be right here. Laura leaves, and Anna says, Jack knows damn well where Valentin is. He’s hiding him. Jack says, she has no proof of that. If she’d like to confess and let this anxious grandmother know that she helped orchestrate Valentin’s escape, don’t let him stop her. She says, that’s not going to happen. He’d really like that though, wouldn’t he? Laura comes back and says, sorry to keep them waiting. What did she miss? Jack and Anna look at each other.

Jason bangs on the door where Clement is, and around the corner with groceries, Scotty sees him and jets. Jason opens the door, and Clement backs away. We see the bag of groceries Scotty was carrying on the hallway floor.

Sonny goes to Kristina’s hospital room and hugs her. He asks how she’s feeling. Is she ready to get out of here? She says she guesses, and Alexis says, it will be nice for her to have a mattress she can sleep on and sheets with thread counts. Kristina asks if Alexis can grab her a seltzer, but Sonny says he’ll get it. Kristina says, he just got here. Mom can do it. Alexis says, fine. She got the hint. Does Kristina want plain or flavored? Kristina says, surprise her, and Alexis says she’ll check on Kristina’s discharge papers on the way out. She leaves, and Sonny says, Kristina didn’t answer his first question. How is she feeling? She says she’s feeling anxious for an update about Ava.

Jason closes the door, and Clement asks if he’s with the FBI. Jason says he works for Sonny Corinthos, and Clement says, whatever Jason needs him to do, he’ll do it. Please. He’s got a family. Jason says, so does Sonny, but that didn’t stop Clement from tampering with his medication. Clement says he didn’t know what else to do. He didn’t want trouble. Jason says, he’s got trouble now, and Clement says, please. He just wants to live. Jason says he doesn’t want to kill Clement. He just wants the truth. Who paid him to tamper with Sonny’s meds?

Jack says he and the Commish were just catching up. And some playful ribbing about jurisdiction and whatnot. Anna says, of which he has none in Port Charles. Jurisdiction, not whatnot. Jack laughs and says he must be going. It was a pleasure meeting Laura. Laura says, likewise, and he says, her reputation precedes her. He’s sure she has some fascinating stories to tell. He’d like to hear them sometime. She says, they’ll have to make that happen, and he says, excellent. He says goodbye to Anna and leaves. Laura says, he’s quite charming, isn’t he? (yes!) and Anna says, he can be. Laura says, that concerns her.

James hugs Cody and says, welcome to the family. Cody thanks him and says he’s happy to be a part of it. Maxie says, Cody knows how she feels, and Cody says he does. Maxie says she’s proud of Mac and hugs him. She says, it’s time to get James home. What does he have to say to Cody? James says, see you soon, and Cody says he’s looking forward to it. Maxie asks what else he has to say, and James says, thanks for saving him. Cody says, hopefully, it’s a first and last time, and Maxie says, agreed, and thanks him. She leaves with James, and Mac says, if Cody hadn’t found James when he did… Felicia says she can’t even think about it, and Mac says his gratitude knows no bounds. Cody says, he sounds like Spinelli, and Mac says, Spinelli must be rubbing off on him. Cody says, the son Mac never had, and Mac says, except he does have a son, and he’s looking right at him. Cody says, and he has a dad, and they hug.

Curtis says, Stella did good back there, and she says, how so? He says, TJ and Molly are clearly drifting apart, but she helped nudge them back together. She says she hopes it sticks. She sees this all the time in her work. We all process grief differently, and sometimes our way doesn’t align with our loved ones. He says, couples have certainly fallen apart over less, and she says she just prays TJ and Molly remember their why. Why they fell in love in the first place and why they stayed together all these years. He says he’s sure they will, and she says she hopes so. Because when they can learn to lean on each other and support each other, that’s when the real healing begins.

Alexis runs into Molly coming out of the elevator and hugs her. Alexis says, good timing. Kristina is just getting released. Molly says she actually came to see TJ and Stella. They’re processing the baby’s birth certificate. Alexis says she’s sorry, but Molly says, it’s okay. Alexis says, none of this is okay. It must have been so difficult for her. Molly says, what isn’t these days? She’s on her way back to the office. Alexis asks if she doesn’t want to say hi to Kristina before she goes, but Molly says she doesn’t think that’s such a good idea.

Ava says, John’s federal witness idea is certainly inspired, but isn’t he concerned it will escalate things when the goal is to calm them down? He says, the goal is to wipe Sonny off the map entirely, when his phone rings. He asks Scotty, what’s up?… What? When?… No. He’ll deal with it. Ava asks, what happened? and John says, Jason has Clement Moore, who you can bet is spilling his guts as we speak. She says, Clement is their only leverage, and he says, now he’s a liability. She says, this is not good. She’s going to be Sonny’s next stop. He knows that, right? He says, not if he has anything to say about it. Stay here. He leaves, and she calls out, where is he going?

Back at the stables, Sasha says, Cody is still soaked, and he says he’ll get some dry clothes on. She asks if he’s okay, but he says he doesn’t know how he feels. He just keeps thinking about, what if he hadn’t gotten to the boathouse in time? He doesn’t know what he would have done if something happened to James. She says, but he got there. He saved that little boy’s life. And even more. Something beautiful came out of it. He says he has a father, and she says, he has a whole family. They hug.

Ava finds TJ standing in the gallery and asks if she can help him. He says he thought it was time they spoke, and she says she prefers to handle any communication through her lawyer. She’s already been on the receiving end of one interrogation. He says, by Molly, and she says she’d like to avoid another. He says he’s not here as a prosecutor. He’s here as a grieving father. He needs to know what happened in that hotel suite, and not just the story Kristina tells. He needs to hear from Ava why his child died.

Alexis asks, what’s going on? She knows Molly and Kristina talked about what happened the day Kristina fell. Molly says she’s sure Kristina said everything’s just fine between them. Because why wouldn’t it be? And everything has to be fine because Kristina has to be coddled at all times no matter what anyone else is going through. Alexis says, her sister almost died, and Molly says, her baby did die. Because Kristina just had to confront Ava. Why? Why couldn’t she just stay away?

Clement says, FBI Agent Cates brought him here for his protection, and Jason asks if he was operating under John Cates’s orders. Clement says, no, and Jason says, Ava Jerome’s. Clement says he did have some interactions with her, and Jason asks, what kind of interactions? Clement says, when Miss Jerome approached him, she knew Mr. Corinthos wasn’t taking his full dose of medication. Jason says, so he was taking less, and Clement says, Mr. Corinthos was being given a quarter of both his lithium and his mood stabilizer. Jason asks how Ava knew this, but Clement says he doesn’t know. It’s the God’s honest truth. He thought she’d go to the authorities, but she didn’t. Instead, Miss Jerome came back and ordered him to reduce Mr. Corinthos’s prescription to zero. Jason says, that’s when he started giving Sonny placebos, and Clement says, yes. Jason says, because Ava Jerome told him to, and Clement says, yes.

Sonny says he can’t tell Kristina what she wants to hear, and Kristina says, so Ava’s still alive then? He says, yes, and Ava’s going to stay that way. She asks, why? and he says, her mom knows she wants Ava dead, so it’s not worth it. She says, it’s very worth it to her, and he asks if she thinks eliminating Ava is the right way to balance the scales. She says she does, and he says, there are other ways. She says, like what? and he says, she’s going to have to trust him. He doesn’t want Ava’s death on her heart or her conscience.

Molly says, Kristina was about to give birth. Was it really necessary to confront Ava like that? She just coached Kristina through the entire subpoena. They wouldn’t be here. Kristina would be fine and her baby would be alive if Kristina had just shown a little restraint. Alexis says she gets when tragedy happens – especially one as gut-wrenching as this – it’s just human nature. You want to blame something or someone. You want to know why. She takes Molly’s hand and says, sometimes there just aren’t answers. There aren’t answers as to why things happen, and you can’t logic your way out of it. You just have to feel the grief. Molly says, trust her. She’s feeling it. Alexis says she wishes there were answers. She wishes there was something Molly could hold onto that makes sense of this. She’s so sorry Molly lost her baby. She’s so sorry she’s gone. Molly says, it’s not fair, and Alexis says, no, it’s not fair. But don’t throw that grief at the person who’s feeling exactly the way she is. Molly says, Kristina, and Alexis says, Kristina.

Laura says, maybe Brennan already has intel about where Valentin is located, when her cellphone rings. She says, yes, it’s Laura Collins… When did that happen?… She understands, yes. She’ll be there right away. Thank you. Anna asks if everything is all right, and Laura says, it’s Lulu.

Jason asks if Clement is on Ava’s payroll, and Clement says, Ava never gave him any money. She just made threats. Jason says, and she approached him after Sonny’s medication had been lowered, and Clement says, to a quarter dosage, yes. Jason asks, who hired him originally? but Clement hesitates. Jason says, they can do this the easy way and Clement can answer him, or they can take another route. He guarantees Clement isn’t going to like the other route. So who hired him? Clement says, Valentin Cassadine.

Sasha asks how it feels to receive all of that love at once, and Cody says, it’s like nothing he’s felt before. She says, nothing? and he says, until now. They kiss.

Felicia puts her arms around Mac and says, he has a son. He says, looks like it, and she asks if he’s happy. He says he is. She was right. She says she’s always right, and he kisses her.

Ava says, first and foremost, what happened to TJ’s baby was a horrible, tragic accident. She’s so sorry for his loss. He asks, what did happen? and she says, it won’t bring him comfort, but he says, tell him anyway. She says, Kristina showed up at her hotel suite, enraged that she’d been subpoenaed to testify against her father. Kristina was ranting and raving and threatening her. Kristina said if she didn’t withdraw the subpoena, she’d be sorry. She tried not to engage, especially because of Kristina’s pregnancy, but Kristina just kept coming at her… Everything happened so fast. He says, so what she’s telling him is, Kristina falling was her own fault.

Alexis says, Kristina and Molly are suffering, the both of them, so much. If they could just maybe figure out a way to go through this together. Just be open to that. Sonny wheels Kristina out of the elevator, when John walks up with a guard. He says, Kristina Corinthos-Davis, you are under arrest.

Please. Somebody. Call John’s boss.

On Monday, Molly tells Jordan that Kristina falling might not have been Ava’s fault; Laura tells Dante that something’s not right with Lulu; and John says he’s got the FBI behind him. What’s Sonny got? (Sanity?)

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Martin wakes up in bed, clutches his head, and says, Lord have mercy. He’s wearing a robe, and his Santa hat is lying on top of him. He pulls back the covers to see a pair of well-manicured feet. He moves to the other end of the bed, and uncovers Lucy, who asks if he’s ready for another round. He puts his Santa hat back on.

Alexis lets Shawn in, and he says he brought her a cup of Corinthos Coffee. She thanks him, and asks what she’s holding. She says, it’s a course catalog from PCU, and he asks if she’s going back to college. She says she is, and asks if it’s a ridiculous idea.

At Cameron’s house, Josslyn and Cameron kiss, and Josslyn asks what time his mom took his brothers ice skating. He says, they left about twenty minutes ago. They’ll be gone a couple of hours. Unless she wants to join them at the rink. She says, let her think, and he says, right, kissing her again. The doorbell rings, and he says he has no clue who that might be. He opens the door, and Esme says, thank God she found him. The absolute worst thing has happened. Josslyn walks up behind Cameron, and says, really? Do tell.

Trina walks into Kelly’s, and says, before Spencer gets a big head, she’s there to get two coffees; one for her, and one for Ava. He says, sure, when Victor walks in. He says, there’s his nephew. How does it feel to have his legal woes a thing of the past? Spencer says, in a word, terrifying.

At the MetroCourt, Laura kisses Doc, and says, what an amazing anniversary they had. She’d take trips more often if she knew she had that kind of homecoming waiting for her. He says he’s just trying to do his part to make sure they’re never separated that long again, and she says, not if she has anything to say about it. They kiss again, and Nikolas approaches their table. He says, clearly, they need more time. Should they reschedule? Laura says, she and Kevin have all the time in the world, but what she has to say to him can’t wait.

Scotty is about to walk into the Llantano County courtroom, when his phone rings. It’s Obrecht, who asks if he’s come up with a strategy to get Willow on the stand. She’s certain Willow knows about Nina and Sonny falling in love in Nixon Falls. He says he’s working on it, and she says, work harder. Michael and Willow walk in, and Michael asks how Willow is feeling. He knows she didn’t agree with him bringing charges against Nina. She says she just wants what’s best for everybody, and he says, what’s best is for Nina to pay for keeping his father hidden from his family for months. He can’t think of anything worse. Sonny and Carly come in, and Michael introduces Willow to DA Sheridan. Carly tells Sonny, Michael is confident the DA Is going to cement his case against Nina today, and Sonny says, that’s up to the judge. He’s sure if Scotty loses today, Nina is going to cop some kind of plea. She says, she hopes so for their family’s sake. She just wants this whole Nixon Falls saga to be over with, and wants Nina out of their lives. Nina walks in, and goes to the defense table. Willow approaches her, and Nina says she really appreciates Willow not saying anything about her and Mike. Willow says she’s not doing it for Nina; she’s doing it for Michael and Wiley. Nina says, for what it’s worth (🍷), she’s really sorry for everything. Willow goes back to Michael, who asks, what was that about? Willow flashes back to Nina asking if she wants to drive a wedge between Carly and Sonny, and tells Michael, family. Michael says, Nina may be biologically related to Wiley, but her actions made it clear she’s not part of their family.

Obrecht says she’s confident Scotty will find a way to protect her niece, and Scotty walks into the courtroom. Sheridan tells Michael, the hearing is basically a formality. It’s not a trial, but technically, Miss Reeves’s attorney can cross-examine anyone he calls. Scotty tells Obrecht that he thinks he just got a flash of inspiration.

Shawn tells Alexis, it’s only natural to feel adrift when you get out of prison. He struggled himself. She says, but now he’s found his direction. Using his non-profit to take over The Invader is a perfect path to his future. There’s a knock at the door, and Alexis opens it to Dante, who apologizes for the impromptu visit. Is Shawn there? This is his last address. She opens the door, and Dante sees Shawn. He says, this is official police business.

Laura tells Nikolas that Doc filled her in on everything about Spencer. She’s upset… She’s concerned. She was pleased to see the two of them managed to co-exist at Christmastime, but she’d hardly call it warm and fuzzy. She knows it’s a step in the right direction, but… He says, he and Spencer have had their setbacks; they both feel betrayed by the other. She says she was heartbroken when she found out it was Spencer who was stalking Ava. It doesn’t excuse Nikolas’s behavior at the party that night, but his instincts about his son were correct. He wonders if that’s why she asked him here, to apologize, and she says she is sorry. He was right about his son, but now she wants Nikolas to do right by him.

Victor says he doesn’t understand. What does Spencer have to be afraid of? Trina says, when her coffee’s ready, she’ll be at the counter, and Spencer introduces her to Victor. Victor says it’s nice to finally meet her. Did Spencer tell her that his plea deal was finalized this morning? She says they didn’t get a chance to talk about it, and Spencer says he signed the paperwork this morning. It’s official. He changed his plea to guilty, he’ll do 500 hours of community service, make restitution to Ava, and do 30 days in Spring Ridge. She says, so no trial, and Victor says, exactly. So what about this plea deal is troubling Spencer? Spencer says, Spring Ridge is minimum security, but it’s still prison. When Victor said he’d take care of Spencer’s situation, Spencer thought that meant he’d go free. Victor says, what Spencer got was a slap on the wrist. No one could have gotten him a better deal. Spencer says he’s truly grateful for everything Victor did. Forget he said anything. Victor supposes, even though it was a long time ago, he does remember being 18 years old, and supposes a month long confinement would have seemed like a death sentence to him. But Spencer is a Cassadine. He’ll keep a stiff upper lip, and when he gets out, he’ll have his whole family waiting for him. Spencer says, not his father, and Victor says, perhaps not, but Spencer will have him. Now why doesn’t he make Victor a cup of tea to go? A heady brew. No one likes a weak leaf. Spencer goes to make the tea, and Victor tells Trina that he’s glad to see his nephew chooses his companions so well.

Esme says she wasn’t expecting to see Josslyn, and Josslyn says, Esme is surprised to see her at her boyfriend’s house? What is Esme even doing here? Esme says she promises nothing nefarious. Spence took the plea deal; he signed the paperwork this morning. Yes, his sentence was lighter than it could have been, but he wasn’t expecting to go to prison at all, and he’s totally freaking out. Cameron says he can understand that. Spencer has to spend a month in prison, and after that, he’s going to have a criminal record for the rest of his life. Josslyn says, and worst of all, despite the fact that Esme is every bit as responsible for stalking Ava, Spencer has to take this whole punishment alone.

Scotty tells Obrecht, this is exactly what they need. He has to go, and Obrecht tells him, good luck, Liebchen. Victor comes out of Kelly’s, and says he remembers when she used to call him that.

Willow asks if Sheridan is still considering a run for Attorney General, and Sheridan says, after visiting their gorgeous home in October, he was concerned about low recognition outside of Llantano County. Scotty puts his briefcase on the table, and listens as Sheridan says, recently, his numbers seem to be going up. Scotty sits, and Nina asks why he looks so happy. He says her aunt has that effect on him.

Lucy says, that was unexpected, and Martin says, he’d call it a Christmas miracle. She hopes he means that in a good way, and he says he means that in the most flattering way possible. He asks, how about some breakfast? He doesn’t know about her, but he managed to work up a very healthy appetite. She asks if he’s serious. He wants to take her down to the MetroCourt for breakfast, and she’ll be wearing the holiday outfit she wore for Christmas that everybody saw her in. Just so he knows, folks will talk. He says he hopes so. He was raised in the South where gossip is sacred, right between Friday night football and Sunday morning service. She thinks he’s forgetting he’s an upstanding lawyer. Not to mention the fact he’s the brother of her ex-husband’s wife, the mayor of Port Charles. He says Lucy is a very accomplished woman, and she thanks him, and says she aims to please. He says her aim could put him in the hospital, but that’s not what he was talking about. Don’t get him wrong, she makes one Olympian Santa’s helper, but he was referring to her role as the co-owner of Deception. Not to mention everything she’s accomplished with the Nurses Ball. She says, he looked her up on the internet? and he tells her, let’s just say he’s noticed her. She tells him, let’s just say, she’s noticed him too, and they kiss. She says she’ll let him buy her breakfast. She hasn’t done that walk of shame in a long time. He says it will be his pleasure to take that walk with her.

Josslyn says, so much of the stalking was clearly Esme’s idea, not Spencer’s. Anyone can see that. She has no idea why Spencer is protecting Esme. Esme says she loves Spence, and as much as he might get on their nerves, she thinks they do too. Cameron was the one who got Spencer the job at Kelly’s when he needed it most. Cameron says she’s right; they care about Spencer. So what can they do to help? Esme says she plans to do what she can to keep Spencer’s spirits up when he’s in Spring Ridge, but if they could create some happy memories before he goes, it would really give Spencer some peace of mind. They already agreed to a weekend getaway, so can Josslyn ask her father if they can use his cabin as soon as possible? Before Spencer has to report to Spring Ridge for his sentence? He really needs this.

Nikolas tells Laura, he’ll be there for his son, but only when he fully owns up to what he’s done. She agrees completely. Spencer needs to take responsibility for his actions, but he’s already trying to do that. Doc says, not only is he working at Kelly’s, he’s started helping around the house. Spencer was mystified as to how to use a dishwasher, but once he showed Spencer how, he started pitching in without too much complaint. Nikolas says, it sounds like there’s progress, but it sounds like Spencer still resents him, and refuses to accept his help. Laura says, what his son needs more than ever is a loving father who can help him make up with Ava, who will set him on the right course. If not Nikolas, whose influence will step in to fill that void?

Obrecht says, the only name she can remember calling Victor is schwein, which is what he is. He says, there’s that fiery minx he fell in love with. He’s so glad the information he provided to the WSB led to her rescue. She says, he’s taking credit for her safe return? He’s the one who had her kidnapped in the first place. Then he tossed her beloved Scotty out of a plane. He says perhaps they could discuss it over dinner. Scotty is, after all, his attorney. She says she’d rather eat glass.

Nina asks Scotty to be honest with her. What are her chances of avoiding a trial? He says, better than she thinks, and she asks what he’s up to. The bailiff tells them, all rise. Court is in session, the honorable Judge Milford presiding. The judge calls the preliminary hearing to order, and tells them, please be seated.

Josslyn tells Esme, there’s been a lot going on, and she hasn’t asked Sonny about the cabin yet. Esme says, but she will, right? and Josslyn says she will, as long as Esme stops asking about how many bedrooms there are, and who’s sleeping where. Esme says she only wanted people to be comfortable, but what’s important now is that Spence has a great time. She’s sure his Uncle Sonny will be happy to support him. Why doesn’t Josslyn call Sonny now? Cameron says, he and Joss will talk it over and get back to her, and she thanks him. She says, it will mean the world to Spence, and to her. Who knows? Maybe we’ll have a great time. She leaves, and Josslyn says, she can’t. Cameron says, whatever they think about Esme, she’s not wrong here. Spencer is going to need all the support he can get before the reality of a month at Spring Ridge hits him. She says, fine. She’ll ask about the cabin, but she’s not changing her opinion about Esme. He says, that’s totally okay. He’d never want to change a single thing about her, especially her mind. She says, now he’s trying to butter her up, and he asks if it’s working. She kisses him.

Spencer brings Trina the coffee, and says, sorry about the wait. She says she knows he put on a brave face for his uncle, but there’s no shame in being nervous about going to Spring Ridge. He says, his uncle is right. He needs to man up. He took the action and needs to face the consequences. He knows he got a lighter sentence because of his privilege. Trina has made it more than clear she thinks he’s a spoiled, entitled baby. She says, true, but she also thinks he’s human, and it’s nice to see.

Doc tells Nikolas, in the new year, Spencer goes to Spring Ridge. Prison is rife with opportunities to make bad choices, align with the wrong people. He needs a strong foundation now. Laura agrees, and says she knows Spencer feels indebted to his Uncle Victor for getting that plea bargain for him. Nikolas says, Victor’s presence in Port Charles concerns him too, and Laura asks why Nikolas helped him in the first place.

Dante tells Shawn, they got an anonymous tip a while back about a body. They followed it up, and found human remains in the Pine Barrens. A John Doe was identified using dental records, and he was a known felon, a gun for hire. Shawn says, a hit man; who was it? Dante says, his last name was Giles, but he went by other aliases as well. They conducted ballistics on the gun that was buried with Giles, and they were conclusive. It was the same gun that shot Hayden Barnes.

Judge Milford tells the court to proceed, and Sheridan says he’d like to call his first witness; Sonny Corinthos.

Lucy and Martin come giggling out of the elevator, Martin looking disheveled with his Santa suit coat falling open. Lucy says she finds it exceptionally charming that he chose to leave his Santa suit on his body in solidarity with her walk of shame, but he needs to know something else. If he’d continued his research on the internet, he would have found she’s been a spectacle many times before. He says he’s delighted join her in causing a commotion, and they walk into the MetroCourt.

Laura says, Nikolas had to have known Victor was hiding out in the compound in Crete. Did he know Victor was working with Peter too? Nikolas promises he had no idea about Peter, and Laura says, so he was just offering Victor a hiding place, or does his involvement go deeper? Nikolas flashes back to Victor telling him that Hayden needed to be dealt with, along with those close to her. He suggests he and Laura talk about this in private, and she asks if he doesn’t think she’s going to tell Doc everything he tells her. Nikolas says, after Valentin shot him, and left him for dead, it was Victor who nursed him back to health. If not for Victor, he might not be here. He returned the favor, and let Victor use the compound in Crete. Martin comes up to their table with Lucy, and says, morning, family. Fine day. Laura says, what a surprise, and hostess Trish tells Lucy that her table is ready. Lucy says, excuse them, and they leave. Nikolas tells Doc and Laura, and they say Christmas only comes once a year, and they laugh. GH is quite naughty today.

Spencer tells Trina, humans are terrible; flawed, selfish, and indulgent. She can’t like seeing that in him. She says, humans are also vulnerable, worthy of love, capable of change. He says he wishes he could see himself through her eyes, and she says, he’s perfectly imperfect, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a person of value. She sees him. He just has to take responsibility for his actions, and give people a chance see him too. He takes her hand, and thanks her. She says, anytime, and Esme watches from the doorway.

Sheridan says, they all know the basic facts. Sonny was on a bridge that collapsed, and fell into an icy river. When he regained consciousness, he had no memory of who he was, or even what his name was. Sonny says, that’s correct. No license. He was wearing a watch that was engraved with the name Mike, so that was the name he used. Sheridan asks how long Sonny was away from his wife and children, who presumed he was dead, and Sonny says, nine months. Sheridan says, when did he finally get his memory back? Sonny says, there was a fire at the Tan-O, and Sheridan says, that was the bar owned by the late Lenny Caulfield and his wife Phyllis, right? and Sonny says, he didn’t know who he was or where he belonged, and they were kind enough to take him in, give him a job and a place to live. Sheridan says, when Sonny recovered his memory, was he aware that someone in Nixon Falls already knew he was Sonny Corinthos? and Sonny says, yeah. Sheridan asks, who was that individual? and Sonny says, it was Nina Reeves. Sheridan says, to Sonny’s knowledge, did Nina Reeves deliberately and intentionally conceal his identity? Sonny says, yeah, and Sheridan says he has no further questions. Scotty asks if Sonny ever alerted the authorities that Nina concealed his identity, and Sonny says, no. Scotty asks, why not? According to the DA, Nina kept him from his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his whole life. Why didn’t he press charges?

Nikolas says he has business to attend to, and Laura says she’s sorry if she came on too strong. She knows he and Spencer want to have a relationship with each other. Nikolas says he’ll think about it, and Laura says, his relationship with Ava is so solid, he can afford to spend some time with Spencer, and restore the bond he has with him. Please don’t do anything to undermine that. Nikolas half-smiles, and leaves.

Dante says, he’s there to officially notify Shawn that they found the person who committed the crime Shawn was wrongfully convicted of. Shawn says, the truth is out, finally, and Dante says, in the eyes of the PCPD, Shawn is in the clear. Alexis says, congratulations. She knows how important this is to Shawn. Dante says, the best to him, and Alexis thanks Dante. Dante leaves, and Alexis says, anonymous tip her posterior. Shawn says, nobody could ever accuse Nikolas of being sloppy, when his phone rings. He says, speak of the devil, and he means that literally. He steps away to take the call.

Steam comes out of Esme’s ears for a second, but then she slaps her fake smile on. She tells Spencer that when he hears what she has to tell him, he’s going to love her more than he already does. He asks, what’s up? and she says she was telling Joss and Cam that he has to report to Spring Ridge soon, which moves their time frame up for a couples weekend. He says, it’s not just for couples, right? They want Trina to feel included. Esme says she’s so sorry. She misspoke. Of course (🍷) they want to include Trina. Esme’s phone rings, and she answers, saying, Joss. They were just talking about their weekend getaway. Josslyn says she and Cameron agree. They should have their weekend getaway before Spencer goes away. Esme says, great. They won’t be sorry. Josslyn looks at Cameron.

Lucy says, tell me, Mr. Claus, are you regretting this now? Martin says, spending time with a beautiful, sophisticated woman? Not for one second. She says, uh-oh. Oh boy, incoming, and Doc and Laura approach their table. Laura asks if Lucy would mind if she had a word alone with her brother, and Lucy says, absolutely not. Mr. Claus is all yours. Martin leaves with Laura.

Martin asks Laura if everything is okay. Is everything all right with his nephew? She says she certainly hopes so. There’s something she didn’t tell him about her meeting with Cyrus. He says, apart from the bit where he finds religion? and she says, Cyrus was adamant that he didn’t put out the hit on them; that somebody else arranged for the killer to go to the safe house.

Lucy asks Doc if Laura sicced him on her because Laura hates the thought of her brother being seen in public with the likes of her. He tells her, don’t be silly. They’re talking about something entirely different. Her and Martin… She says, spit it out, and he says, how’d that happen? She says, Martin asked her what she wanted for Christmas.

Martin asks if Laura is saying she actually believes Cyrus, and Laura says she woudn’t go that far, but she thought she should tell Martin about it. Better to be safe than sorry, right? He says, message received and noted; he’ll be extra careful. Is there something else? She says, Doc has a great dry cleaner who’s a wiz with Santa suits.

Obrecht says, Victor’s presence can only mean Sturm und Drang, and he says, let’s not forget that he was the one who saved her life when Peter wanted her dead, even after she held a knife to his throat. She asks if he’s waiting for a show of gratitude, and he says, perhaps she should consider whether threatening him means it’s more or less likely for him to intervene next time. She says, there won’t be a next time, but he says, with you, mr dear Liesl, there’s always a next time. He brushes her hair back, but she jerks away. He says, he adores her, but just don’t get in his way.

Sheridan objects, saying, whether or not Mr. Corinthos chose to press charges has no bearing on the validity of the case. The judge says, this isn’t a trial, and tells Scotty to proceed. Scotty asks again why Sonny didn’t file charges against Nina. It’s a simple question. Sonny says, then let him answer it. Because he lost too much time already… and he wanted to spend time with his wife and his family. Scotty says, but his son Michael doesn’t share the same viewpoint. In fact, Michael and his ex-wife Willow Tate gave a sizable donation to the DA’s campaign just days before his client was arrested. Willow puts her hand on Michael’s arm, and Scotty says, maybe those two should be on trial for bribery.

On the phone, Nikolas tells Shawn to check the balance. The funds should have been transferred. Shawn says, he’ll do that, but Nikolas might want to know, he just got a visit from the PCPD. It seems they found Hayden’s shooter, or his dead body anyway. The crime has been removed from his record; his name has been restored. Nikolas takes it their business is concluded, and Shawn says, Nikolas fulfilled his part of their agreement, so yes. Nikolas says, great. Have a good day. They hang up, and Alexis asks if the money is all there. Shawn says, and then some. Her nephew thinks this all over. She says, isn’t it? and he says, not by a long shot.

Esme tells Josslyn that she’s with Spencer at Kelly’s. He’ll be so happy when she tells him the news. Josslyn says, that’s why they said yes, for Spencer. She’ll asks Sonny about the cabin today. Esme says, great. They’ll work out the details later. Spencer says, what’s the good news? and Esme says, Joss and Cam just committed. Once his Uncle Sonny signs off on the cabin, they’re good for a getaway. Spencer says, that’s amazing news! It’s incredible. He actually has something to look forward to now. He asks Trina if she’s going to come, and Esme says she’s sure Trina is much too busy with her job and college. Trina says she’s always busy, but she’ll make time for a friend. Count her in. She doesn’t want to pass up the chance to give Spencer the send-off he deserves. Spencer says, this is going to be monumental, and thanks Esme, who says, it’s going to be a send-off for the ages.

Martin goes back to the table, and says, ho-ho hello. Lucy says, let her guess. His sister warned him away from her, but he says, nothing of the sort. Lucy says, oh, it’s worse. She’s biting her tongue; the silent treatment. They had so much fun together. That’s enough. She gets up, but he stops her, and says, it was fun. It’s more than he’s had in a long, long time. He doesn’t know about her, but he doesn’t want the fun to end just yet.

Doc says, so, Laura’s brother and Lucy, and Laura says, she’s just as surprised as he is. Between Martin forging whatever this is with Lucy, and Spencer having to make restitution to Ava, and Nikolas getting  tangled up with Victor, it’s going to be one helluva new year

Obrecht says, she’s not afraid of Victor, nor is she impressed. He didn’t compare to Faison in the past, and doesn’t compare with Scotty today. He asks if she really thinks Scotty is that powerful, and she says, stay away from her or he’ll find out. He has no idea what Scotty is capable of. She leaves, and Victor ponders that.

Sheridan says, opposing council’s accusation is outrageous, and Judge Milford asks if Scotty has evidence of a quid pro quo. Scotty says, campaign contributions are public record. They know Michael and Willow gave a huge chunk of money to the DA for his campaign. The timing seems a little fishy. The judge says, Mr. Corinthos doesn’t have to answer, since he’s not one of the parties named, and Scotty says, no further questions. Sheridan says, because Scotty tried to impugn his character, he asks permission to call an additional witness. The judge asks Scotty and Sheridan to approach, and Sheridan says, the defense council is making unfounded accusations against him, and he would like to answer them. The sooner they clear this up, the sooner they can focus on the charges against Miss Reeves. The judge asks Sonny to step down, and the prosecution calls Willow to the stand. Willow gets up, and Nina looks worried.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Continuing on with the way the week started, I missed the beginning, but here’s what happened. Laura stopped by the nightclub, where Curtis was fixing things up. She asked if he thought he’d made a good decision buying it, and he said he did. Jordan and Taggert went back to her apartment, and she said he could have the guestroom. At the hospital, Peter was angry because Finn had just told him to get lost, and left a voicemail for Cyrus. He wondered if Cyrus’s eyewitness had blabbed about him being Franco’s real killer, and said Cyrus’s witness should think smarter for their own safety. Finn saw Michael at the MetroCourt, and said he was on his way to Alexis’s hearing. He asked for Michael’s take on it, since Michael is Dante’s half-brother. Anna offered Carly some tea, and Carly said Jason had been framed; Peter had killed Franco. Alexis arrived at court, with Sam and Diane, who wanted her to change her plea to not guilty. Alexis said that wasn’t going to happen, and Valentin arrived to be supportive. By this time, I was at the keyboard, and…

Finn asks if Michael doesn’t think maybe Alexis will get what she deserves, and Michael says he’s also related to Kristina. They’re all worried about Alexis, and they all just want her to get the help she needs. Finn says, the same with Dante, and Michael says, Dante isn’t just the victim; he’s the only witness. He has to testify. Finn asks if Michael has any idea what Dante is going to say, and Michael says, the truth. Dante is a former police officer. He’s going to be honest and objective, but there’s no way he’s going to downplay what happened. Alexis was drunk and impaired, and grabbed a needle filled with lidocaine and tried to kill Franco. Instead, she injected Dante, and he almost died.

In the courtroom, Alexis admits she could use a drink, and Sam says she’s not going to have one, is she? Alexis says, no, and Sam hugs her, saying she’s so proud. Diane says, they all are. If Alexis is strong enough not to drink, she’s strong enough to let Diane fight for her. Valentin says, not if Alexis wants to face the consequences, and Sam asks why he’s encouraging Alexis to go to prison. He says he supports Alexis’s recovery, and if she wants to own up to what she did, and make amends, that’s entirely up to her. Sam says, if that means pleading guilty, she’ll be sending herself straight to prison, and Diane says, not guilty doesn’t mean innocent. It just means Alexis is using the judicial system the way it should be used. Valentin says Taggert pleaded not guilty, and Alexis says, he was accused of a Federal crime, and went before a Federal judge. Sam tells Alexis to please listen to Diane, and plead not guilty, but Alexis says, she was drunk and out of control, and almost killed Dante. She needs to face the consequences. Dante walks into the courtroom.

Jordan tells Taggert, since he’ll be staying with her, she want to establish some rules. He promises to put the toilet seat down, and she says she was thinking about more than that. No self-pity parties. When they were on the task force together, they knew what the rules were, but a lot has changed. Taggert says, one thing that hasn’t is their desire for justice. How are they going to get Cyrus?

Laura tells Curtis that she’s looking forward to his grand opening. She and Doc would love a place to go and unwind, and listen to good music. He says that’s exactly the atmosphere he wants to provide, and she says, expect to see a lot of them. They’ve promised to have more date nights. Curtis says, so things are good between her and Doc? and she says, never better. Why is he asking? He says he’s currently flying solo, and it makes him feel good if his friends are happy in their relationships. Laura says, they’re just terrific, but she wishes she could say the same for her other relationships. He asks if it’s Spencer again, and she says, for once, Spencer is staying out of trouble. She was referring to Martin, the brother she never knew she had. She decided to surprise him with a cake and candles on his birthday. He says, that was nice of her, but he guesses it didn’t go well. She says, Martin barely had a chance to make a wish, when her other brother showed up and ruined everything.

Jason says, Cyrus never had Florence when he was a child, and never will. Cyrus tells him not to misunderstand. He doesn’t mean any harm to Carly, her children, or the Corinthos empire Sonny left behind, but Jason scheduled a meeting with some well-respected family owned businesses, and he can’t attend. He knows patience is not their virtue. Jason says he’ll reschedule, and Cyrus says, that’s not necessary. He intends to fill the void left behind by Jason and Sonny. He’ll do his best to see that everyone’s interests are protected. The families drive a hard bargain, but Jason knows how reasonable Cyrus can be. Return his mother, or Jason will be tried and convicted for the murder of Franco Baldwin. It’s his choice.

Carly says Anna was told that Peter arranged for Drew’s plane to go down, and sent an assassin to kill Andre and Franco, but she wouldn’t listen. Anna says she was wrong, and Carly says, she was in denial. She wouldn’t see what was in front of her, and because of that, Peter was walking around free. Even as the body count was climbing, Anna told herself Peter was innocent and could be redeemed. Anna says she’ll carry the weight of that regret for the rest of her life. Why is Carly there? Carly says, Jason thinks they can work together. He trusts Anna. Anna says, Carly clearly doesn’t trust her, but Carly says she trusts Jason. He believes in Anna, and she’d better not prove him wrong.

Dante, who’s wearing a suit, tells Diane, he dressed the part, and she says she always advices her clients that their appearance affects how their testimony is received. He says he can wait outside, and Sam says he doesn’t have to be there, but Alexis asks him to stay. His presence reminds her of why she’s made the choice she’s made.

Peter comes out of the elevator at the MetroCourt, and sees Finn and Michael. He asks if Finn has heard from Anna; are they speaking? Finn says, even if he had the time to talk, he wouldn’t waste it on Peter. Peter laughs, and keeps walking. Michael says, Peter’s day is coming. Sooner than he thinks.

Carly says, Anna doesn’t look surprised, and Anna says Jason told her Peter killed Franco. Peter has gotten away with far too much for far too long, and a lot is on her. She wants him brought to justice just as much as she wants Jason exonerated. If Carly has any suggestions about how that can be accomplished, she’d like to hear them. Carly says, the eyewitness is Sonny’s cousin. She said she saw Jason ditch the weapon, and Carly thinks she was paid to lie. Her son works for Cyrus, so she has access to him, and she’s taken money from Cyrus before; she was paid to betray the family. Anna says, so she’s mercenary, and Carly says, Gladys knew Cyrus hated Jason, so when Jason was brought in, she reached out, and Cyrus told her to go to the police. Anna says, and she told them where to find the gun. When it was retrieved and there were no prints on it, it validated her story. Carly says, exactly, and Anna says, it makes sense, but why does Cyrus want to protect Peter?

Gladys tells Brando that his boss is an amazing man. Not only did Cyrus pay Brando’s medical bills, he’s been generous to her. Brando asks what’s in it for Cyrus, and she tells him, don’t be cynical. Obviously, Cyrus cares about Brando. He’s concerned about his own mother, and wanted to make sure they’re in good place. He says they went over this. He knows she told Cyrus that Dev wasn’t his son, and came into the country illegally. She gave Cyrus the information to hold over Sonny’s family, and him. She asks how he can say such a thing, and he says he knows her. Cyrus is a dangerous man, and if you disappoint or cross him, he’ll make sure you regret it. Peter comes by, and asks if Gladys has a moment. She preens at his attention.

Cyrus tells Jason, by this time tomorrow, someone else could be sitting in his cell, and Cyrus can save him a place at the sit-down with the Five Families spaghetti sauce empire. He can pledge that Carly, and everyone near and dear to her, has their safety and security guaranteed. All Jason has to do is return a harmless little old lady who means nothing to Jason, but everything to him.

Laura tells Curtis that she thinks she wanted Martin to be the good brother partly to soften the other brother. Curtis says he never had much contact with Martin. They may have crossed paths socially, but he’s not a fan of lawyers, except Alexis. He will say this though, at his worst, Martin isn’t in Cyrus’s league… or is he wrong? What did Martin do? She says, Cyrus went out of his way to paint Martin as unscrupulous with a dark side, and Martin didn’t deny it. He says, she was hoping he would? and she says she thought she was past the point of being disillusioned by people. He says, it’s not a crime to want to see the best in people; it’s a good trait, especially with family. She says, except they’re too close. It obscures their vision, and they see people the way they want to, not how they are. He says he thinks that’s how he was seeing Jordan, and she says she realizes she was rushing into it because of the family connection. Maybe he’s doing the same thing.

Jordan says she and Taggert can order pick-up. She remembers him having a weakness for dumplings and prawns with garlic sauce. I immediately get hungry. He wants to look at Cyrus’s file, but she says, it’s a police file, and there’s strict access. They can’t do this the way they did it before. It has to be legit. He says they’re older and wiser, and he’s going to have to pass on the garlic sauce. He goes into the other room with his bag, and she takes out the PCPD file on Cyrus.

Dante asks Sam, what’s up? and she says she’s just checking on him. He says, because of his triggers? but she says, that’s not what she means. She doesn’t think he’s dangerous, she’s just checking to see how he’s doing. He’s been through a lot in the past few days, and almost killed Peter. He says he would have if Sam hadn’t talked him down, and she says she honestly wishes he would have. She went to the PCPD to see Jason, and he told her that Peter killed Franco. He asks if she’s got proof, but she says, not yet. They will though. He says, her and Jason? but she says, no. Her and Peter’s sister Britt.

Diane says she spoke to the bailiff, and the judge is running late. She still has time to mount a defense for Alexis. Alexis says, even if there’s time to argue mitigating circumstances, there’s more at stake than her freedom. Diane says, from a philosophical standpoint, Alexis is right, but the judge can give her a suspended sentence or send her to prison. Valentin says, it’s more than what this is about legally. If Alexis wants to be healthy and sober, she has to be rigorously honest with herself. Finn comes in, and tells him, says the guy who lies like breathing.

**Carly tells Anna that Gladys told the police where to find the gun. Peter must realize that she knows it’s him, and his fate is in her hands. There’s only one person who can connect him to the murder. Anna says, he’ll want to eliminate her, and Carly says, she wants to explain that to Gladys, but she won’t listen. Anna says maybe she’ll have a go at Gladys, and Carly says, a stranger with a British accent? Anna says, maybe she can find someone else, and Carly says, Gladys might go to Cyrus for a bigger payout. They have to find another angle; a way to win Gladys’s trust. Anna asks Carly to tell her everything she knows about Gladys.

Peter starts to introduce himself, but Gladys says she knows who he is. He’s the publisher of The Invader. She never misses it, especially Page Five. She introduces herself, saying she’s the cousin of the late Sonny Corinthos. Her son Brando is a trusted employee of Cyrus Renault. Does Peter know Cyrus? Peter says, everybody knows Cyrus. Brando’s phone dings, and he says, it’s the garage; he’ll get it later. Gladys tells him to take it, since it’s work. Brando steps away, and Peter says he gets the distinct impression they’ve met before. Gladys says, it’s possible. Peter does have one of those faces. The kind you never forget.

Cyrus asks what Jason says. For Carly’s sake, is he ready to come around? Jason says Cyrus doesn’t have to worry about getting a Mother’s Day gift this year, and Cyrus says Jason had his chance; he won’t get another one. Cyrus leaves as Michael is coming in, and Michael asks Jason if it’s something he said. What was Cyrus doing there? Jason says, he delivered a message, and Michael says he guesses Cyrus didn’t like Jason’s answer.

Jason tells Michael that he knows Diane is working on bail, but a witness came forward, so it’s less likely to be granted. He’s not expecting to be released any time soon. Michael asks how Jason is doing, and Jason says he’s spent a lot of time in lock-up. He doesn’t love it, but he’s used to it. Michael says, this time, it’s different though. Sonny is gone, and that has to put pressure on Jason. Jason says, Michael hasn’t asked if he did it.

Carly explains to Anna that Gladys is an opportunist, and Anna says, so it’s about money. Carly says, partly, but Gladys is also chasing things money can’t buy. She always looked at Sonny as her super successful relative. He was rich, but also respected, even feared. Anna says, he had prestige and standing, and Carly says, Gladys has lived her life on the outside looking in, and resents it. She thinks these are things she deserves, but doesn’t want to lift a finger to get them. She thinks they’re owed to her. Anna says, interesting. She has an idea of how to handle Gladys.

Alexis says she appreciates Finn’s support, but Valentin is there to do the same thing, and Diane says, if they can’t play nice, she’ll send them home. Finn says, any personal issues will take a back seat, and Valentin says he’ll reciprocate. Sam tells Alexis there’s time to change her plea, and Finn says, Alexis loves a big fight, but the bigger fight is the one they wage every day. Valentin’s phone dings, and Alexis says she can see from his face it’s important. He says he wants to be there for her, but she says he has been; she’ll take it from there. He leaves, and Diane says, so Alexis is changing her plea to not guilty? Alexis looks at Finn, and says, no. She’s pleading guilty. Diane says, it’s Alexis’s call. Just know she’ll fight like hell, whether Alexis wants her to or not.

Peter says he hopes Gladys didn’t get the wrong impression of him. His father was not a good man, and a lot of people mistakenly think he’s following in his father’s footsteps. She says, she’s an independent thinker, and he says he wishes more people would be. He’s been dealing with a woman named Liesl Obrecht, who’s accused him of killing Franco. Where in this twisted universe did she come up with something like that? Gladys says, search me, and he says, yet Obrecht didn’t claim she saw him; she heard the story from someone else. Gladys leans forward, and says, off the record, she saw the whole thing. She went to the police, and told them she saw Jason toss the gun. He says he applauds her. Most people would be afraid to come forward. She says, not her. She knew it was too important for her to stay silent. He says, she told him that she’s a big fan of The Invader. Would she like to see her name and photo in it? She’s come forward as an eyewitness, and deserves front page coverage. Cyrus comes by, and says, that’s a bad idea that has the potential to be catastrophic.

Laura tells Curtis that she didn’t know Martin at all, and wanted to believe he was the good brother because she wanted a brother, a sibling. It’s been so long since Amy died. She rushed into the family connection, and it blew up in her face. He asks if she’s just going to write Martin off, and she says she’s not. She’s just going to take it more slowly, and proceed with more caution; see Martin for who he really is. Curtis says, it doesn’t sound too different from his situation with Jordan. Maybe he needs to see the person who Jordan really is. She says Curtis is more invested. He and Jordan have time and history. Don’t give up on that. He says, TJ was there earlier, and said the same thing, and she says, he’s still not convinced? He says, there are no easy answers, but it’s hard to rebuild trust. She says she knows Jordan hasn’t always been honest, but doesn’t think it’s all on her. Curtis just created this wonderful new life for himself. Wouldn’t he like to invite Jordan into it? Or has he made the decision to move on already?

Taggert comes back out, and suggests they order Italian. Jordan hands him the folder, and he sits with her. She says they know Cyrus is using GH to reinvent himself as a pillar of society, and he says, to make himself respectable, so his sins are glossed over. She says, they have one advantage. They see past his veneer of respectability, and see him for who he is. And one day, in the near future, they’ll figure out a way to prove it.

Gladys says hi to Cyrus, and tells Peter that Cyrus has been wonderful to her son, and her. She loves her room. Peter says, Cyrus has been generous to many people; he counts himself among them. Cyrus says, allow him to advise Peter against putting Gladys on the front page. If Jason’s lawyer manages to get him released on bail, it’s going to put Gladys in his sights, and nobody wants that. Peter says, of course (🍷) Cyrus is right; nobody wants that. Brando joins them, and Cyrus suggests he treat his mother to dessert she can enjoy in her room. Gladys says she’d prefer to stay there, but Brando says, let’s go. She doesn’t want to overstay her welcome. He walks her to the elevator, and Cyrus asks Peter what the hell he was thinking. Peter says that it’s been speculated that someone other than Jason killed Franco, and Cyrus says, there are haters everywhere, but if Peter doesn’t let it go, enough people will start to believe he should be in a cell instead of Jason. That’s the last thing Cyrus wants, unless Peter fails to deliver his end of the bargain.

Michael says, if there was a chance Jason had killed Franco, there would be no trace. And he wouldn’t have done it because Franco was Jake’s stepfather, and Jake’s happiness means more to Jason than anything. Jason thanks Michael for knowing that, and Michael says, it means Gladys is lying. If she was a normal person, he’d say she was confused, but she’s done it out of spite, or greed, or both. Does Jason think she’s hoping someone will pay her to change her testimony? Jason says, someone else is already paying her, and Michael says, someone like Cyrus? Is that the message Cyrus just delivered?

Carly says, the only reason she’s going along with this is that there’s no better plan, and Anna says, it will work. Carly says, if Jason goes to trial, it could be months before Gladys is on the witness stand, and Anna says, that’s why they have to put the plan in action now. Carly says there’s a difference between how badly she and Anna want this. Anna wants Jason freed because she thinks it will be nice, but to her it’s everything. It’s crucial that Jason be free. Anna says she wants him to be free too, but more important, she wants Peter locked up. Then Maxie and the baby will be safe. The first step is to get Gladys to implicate Peter for Franco’s murder. Is Carly in? The doorbell rings, and Carly says, she’s in. Anna opens the door to Valentin, who says he got her message. It sounded urgent. She says they’ve been waiting for him, and brings him into the living room. He sees Carly, and looks at her quizzically.

Taggert says he’s impressed at Jordan’s extended research, and she thanks him. She says, they still have no way to bust him. Taggert says, they’re not talking about framing him again; he’s not going down that road. This time, he has more to lose than she does. He says he didn’t mean it that way, and she says she knows he wants to make Trina proud. There’s a knock at the door, and Jordan says, it’s going to be a long night. She hopes it’s the food. It’s Curtis, who comes in, saying, he knows he should have called first, but he has something to say that can’t wait. He sees Taggert sitting on the couch.

Sam says she wishes she could spare Alexis the ordeal, and Finn’s phone dings. Alexis says, first Valentin, now him, and Finn says, it’s the hospital, a patient. Alexis says she can handle it, and he says he knows she will. He has faith in her. They hug, and Finn leaves. The bailiff comes in, and says Judge Carson is on her way. He tells them to take their seats. They sit, and Alexis takes Diane’s hand.

Michael says Jason took his dad’s place before, but he can’t run things from in there, and Cyrus will take over. Jason says, Cyrus isn’t a problem, and Michael says, of course (🍷) he is. He’ll target them unless someone steps in. Jason says, that’s not happening. Michaels says he knows Diane will do everything in her power to get Jason bail, but while Jason is out of commission, someone has to step in until he can take charge again. Jason says Sonny never wanted this life for Michael, and Michael says, Sonny isn’t here anymore. Cyrus won’t stop until he’s running the whole town. Someone needs to take him on, and there’s no other way. Jason says, that’s where Michael is wrong.

Peter tells Cyrus, Jason is in custody, and there’s no one standing between Cyrus and the Corinthos empire. Cyrus says, unless Jason makes bail, but Peter says Cyrus wouldn’t let that happen, would he? Cyrus says, it will take both of them to ensure that Jason stays behind bars for the rest of his life.

Gladys looks at Cyrus and Peter, and tells Brando that she’d love to be a fly on the wall. He asks if she knows what happens to flies; they get swatted. She says she’s touched that he cares, and he says, then listen to him. Get in her car, and go home to Bridgeport. She says, is he kidding? And miss the excitement? No way. He says he’s warning her, Cyrus’s generosity comes at a price, and she says, everything in life that’s worth having comes at a price. She’s done without having the finer things in life long enough. It’s time to cash in. He can get in the elevator, but she’s sticking around.

Valentin says, Anna and Carly are working together? and Carly says, it’s a marriage of necessity. Anna says, they have to stop Peter, and Valentin says they have his attention. Anna says, Jason was implicated by a witness who’s lying. The real killer is Peter. He asks what they’re going to do, and Anna says, they’re not doing anything. He is.

Tomorrow, Jordan tells Curtis that Taggert is staying with her, Alexis says she’s willing to accept punishment, Maxie tells Britt that she’s confident they can handle this, and Peter asks if Carly is sure she wants to pick a fight with him.

🍹 The guests on tonight’s Overserved were Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin, and Vivica A. Fox. The theme was An Evening in Provence, and LVP greeted them with ponies Diamond and Rosé. Dancing with the Stars (which they’d all been on) was discussed, especially how physically grueling it is. Vivica told them that when she’d done Kill Bill [Vol 1], it was like training for the Olympics, and she went from a size 6/8 to a 2. Lance told a story about meeting Julia Roberts, and gushing over her films, only to realize it was Cindy Crawford. He said she must have thought he was Julia’s biggest fan. At LVP’s urging, a quite drunk David tried to play a practical joke on Lance by jumping out of the ponies’ shed wearing a horse’s head. But it went wrong, and David ended up with a bloody nose. Apparently it wasn’t his first accident, since he said he’d broken his nose four times. Vivica said she’d been nervous to meet LVP, but she had so much fun. As did we all. I love this show. Unfortunately, the second airing did not include a preview, so I have no clue who will be on next time, but I know it will be amusing.
