Monday:
Kristina brought Michael and Jacinda to the new and improved Charlie’s. Jacinda said she thought there had been structural damage, but Kristina said, someone special stepped in and helped.
Trina met her parents at their house, and Curtis said they’d made this house a home together, so it seemed right to say goodbye together.
Kai went to see Turner. Nathan and Dante were there, and Kai said he assumed it had something to do with the shooting. Turner said something had pointed them in his direction.
Tracy had tea with Brook and said Chase’s crusade against Michael was causing discord in the family. Support was a luxury they could no longer afford.
Coming in from a walk, Ned saw Chase in the foyer, and Chase said it was good that Ned was prioritizing his health. Ned said, since they were on the subject, it seemed Chase’s priorities lay more with his ex-wife than Ned’s daughter.
Drew was propped in the desk chair while Willow stood next to him and photos were taken. (This was so creepy. Very Weekend at Bernie’s.) Laura came in and the photographer suggested getting shots of her with the new congresswoman.
Portia said since they were getting a divorce, the house had to be put on the market, and Trina said she guessed it made sense. They bought it for their family and they weren’t a family anymore. Portia said that wasn’t true. They’d always be a family. It would just look different. Curtis said they’d always be there for her and still cared about each other. They’d wanted to give her the opportunity to take what she wanted with her. Trina said she’d already gotten the one thing she wanted, and they had a group hug.
Tracy said things had deteriorated and they could no longer look the other way, and Brook said she assumed Tracy heard about Chase and Michael’s altercations. Tracy said she had and it was unacceptable, and Brook agreed. She didn’t want Tracy choosing between her and Michael. Tracy said Michael was Monica and Alan’s grandson and asking him to vacate wasn’t an option, and Brook wondered if she was asking them to move out. Tracy said, no, but how long did Brook plan on refereeing the fight between her husband and her family?
Chase told Ned that it was ridiculous, and Ned asked if it was as ridiculous as him coming to blows with Michael in the family home. Chase’s vendetta was hurting him and not helping his career, which affected Ned’s daughter’s well-being. Chase said Willow was innocent and he had to pursue it, but Ned said Chase chose to pursue it.
Dante said, in Kai’s statement he’d told them who had keys to Drew’s house, and Kai said, Scout’s nanny Chelsea, the cleaning lady, and Alexis, but no one else he knew of. Turner asked if it was possible that Michael Corinthos had a key.
Kristina said she’d have Charlie’s up and running in no time, but she wanted see what they thought of it, and Jacinda said it was gorgeous. She couldn’t wait for it to be her new hang. Michael said their dad came through like he always did, and Kristina said she was grateful. Sonny said he was glad it worked out, and Kristina thanked them for coming. Michael said his phone had been ringing non-stop, and Jacinda said it was the same at Crimson. Everyone asked if Nina had a comment. Kristina asked what was up, and Sonny said Laura had filled Drew’s seat in congress. Kristina said her mom hadn’t heard anything, and Sonny said that’s because it wasn’t her mother. It was Congresswoman Willow Cain.
More creepy photos were taken with Laura and Willow on either side of Drew. The photographer thanked them for their time, and left. Willow thanked Laura and said her office thought pictures with Drew would help the public adjust to the transfer. Laura said she’d love to help guide Willow if she’d like. It was her sincerest hope that they could work together with more success than she’d had with Drew. Forgive her, but she had to ask if Willow planned to work on behalf of the people she represented or use her position as her husband did to settle her own scores.
Trina asked how long before the house was on the market, when Lucy knocked at the door.
Kristina said it made no sense. Did Sonny have any idea why Laura changed her mind?
Willow told Laura that she loved her husband and respected how he’d managed the office, but they were completely different people. She planned to serve her constituents above everything else. Laura said she was glad to hear it, and relieved. She told Drew that although they’d had their differences, she wished him a full and speedy recovery and was praying for him and Scout.
Temp Boyle came by to welcome Willow and said he saw the mayor had the same thought. Great minds thought alike.
Kai said Michael definitely wouldn’t have a key, and Nathan said, what about Wiley? but Kai said he’d never had one. Turner asked if he could think of anybody else, but Kai said, no. Dante said that was all they needed, and Kai couldn’t get out fast enough. Turner said their final lead was a dead end, and Nathan said the way Michael volunteered his keys, it was more than likely Ric was right and someone planted the key. Turner said, not just anybody – Harrison Chase.
Chase told Ned that he and Brook had a serious discussion about his decision and it had made their relationship stronger. She knew he was doing what he thought was right and supported him. Ned said Brook was a good person, but the trial was over and Willow had been acquitted. That he was still at it suggested he wasn’t letting it go and there was no end in sight. That made Brook torn between him and the rest of the family.
Brook told Tracy that it had been tough, but Chase was a good man. If he believed Willow was innocent and Michael was guilty, she’d do her best to support him. Tracy said his quest had gone beyond a noble pursuit of the truth trying to make sure Michael was blamed, but Brook said Chase didn’t put Drew’s key on Michael’s keyring. Tracy asked if Brook knew that for a fact or was it what she wanted to believe.
Lucy said she loved the place and the upstairs view was exquisite, and Curtis brought her upstairs to show her the updates they’d done. Trina said she didn’t think it would be happening so soon. It was being talked about like a piece of real estate, not the place she called home, and it didn’t feel good. Portia hugged her.
Chase said he understood where Ned was coming from, but the last thing he wanted to do was put Brook in a bad position. Ned said Chase might think he was making Brook a priority, but consider what it looked like to the outside world. Chase said he didn’t care, but Ned said it was important to the family. It looked like he was choosing Willow over Brook and his marriage. If he and his mother felt that way, Brook might feel that way too.
Brook said Chase told her that he hadn’t planted the key and she believed him and trusted him, but Tracy said she had her doubts. Chase had defied his superiors and launched a secret investigation. There were new allegations…. Brook said she’d made it clear after a recent fight that Chase crossed the line. She told him that they couldn’t move forward with the adoption unless he agreed to drop it and he’d promised he would. He chose her and their future family. Tracy said, if that was true, she couldn’t be happier, but did any part of Brook think he was just telling her what she wanted to hear?
Sonny told Kristina that he didn’t know why, but Laura probably had a good reason. He respected her position and she was a good friend. She’d make it right with Kristina’s mom. Kristina said Alexis felt bad for letting herself get excited. She was thankful Michael and Willow had settled custody, but then Willow used it. Michael said he was worried that Willow would use her leverage to see that he was charged for attempted murder.
Kai showed up at Drew’s Willow’s office, and said he could come back, but Laura said she had something she’d like to run past Boyle in the hallway. She and Boyle went outside, and Boyle said he’d had instructions for Willow from Sidwell, so stand down. Laura said they both knew it was too soon for Sidwell to be Willow’s mouthpiece. Give her a chance to find her footing. He said she wasn’t doing Willow any good by keeping her away from Sidwell’s influence. It wouldn’t end well. Look what happened to Dalton. Don’t put Willow in harm’s way, and don’t put herself in harm’s way.
Kai asked if Drew had made any progress, but Willow said he was the same. Kai said the PCPD had called him in. They wanted to know how Michael had the key to Drew’s house.
Dante said Chase denied planting the key and he was inclined to believe him. There was no proof. Nathan said so many people went in and out of the house, there was no way to prove Chase did it, and Turner said there was no way to prove Michael shot Drew. They’d hit their last dead end in the investigation into Drew’s shooting. It was now officially a cold case.
Ned told Chase, no judgement. He’d lost sight of what was important more than once and paid dearly for it. He didn’t want Chase to make the same mistakes. Chase said he never thought of Brook as less than the most important person in his life, but if people believed otherwise, he deeply regretted it and would fix it immediately.
Brook said it was unfair to doubt Chase, and Tracy said she appreciated Brook’s optimism. She understood the potency of Willow’s victimhood. Brook said Chase was committed to adopting and once they did, this would be a distant memory.
Dante said dropping the case was a big decision, but Turner said continuing would just drain their resources. Dante said they’d seemed to have hit a wall, and Nathan said he thought it was the right call. Dante asked if he was sure, since Willow was his niece, and Nathan said Willow had been found not guilty in court. It was as good as they would get. Turner said, so they were all agreed. The case was no longer an active investigation. It was never easy to admit defeat, but she believed she’d had the right suspect with Willow. Dante said because of double jeopardy, Willow was a free woman, and Turner said, and their new congresswoman.
Kai told Willow that Nathan, Dante, and Turner combed everything, hoping for something new, but it sounded like Drew’s case was a dead end. Willow said that was unfortunate. She wanted the world to know who shot her husband, but she appreciated the heads up. He said, as congresswoman, he assumed she’d want a fresh start, but he’d assist with the transfer, and she said she was impressed with the way he’d stepped up after Drew’s stroke. Drew always sang his praises, and she’d love if he agreed to stay on staff.
Kristina said, after what Willow had done, she got a congressional seat, and Michael wondered in what world that was fair, but said he wouldn’t make it worse for the children’s sake. Kristina said she knew he was right, but if he was charged and found guilty, he could lose the kids. Sonny said Michael would never be prosecuted for shooting Drew. He was going to handle it.
Michael said he was worried about Willow’s new position, and Jacinda said power had a corrupting influence, especially with someone with Willow’s track record. She’d always leaned on someone – him, Drew, Chase, even Nina, or that cult guy. But for the first time, Willow had the ability to stand on her own two feet. They may see a version of Willow no one had seen before. Maybe she would surprise them all. Michael’s phone rang and he said he’d be right there. He told Jacinda that it was the Commissioner’s office. Dante wanted to see him.
Boyle said he didn’t want to see Willow on the receiving end of Sidwell’s wrath and Laura needed to accept it, and Laura said Boyle was on Sidwell’s payroll. He said she was right, but he hadn’t understood the scope of Sidwell’s influence until after he was involved and it shocked him. He was pressured into doing things he didn’t want to do, and the result of that was being deeper in Sidwell’s pocket than he thought he would be.
Portia said she’d miss the dock. They’d had great times there with Trina’s grandfather and Aunt Stella. Curtis listened from the stairs, and Trina said Portia had wanted to live in a house by the water. It was so sad and weird to picture it empty. It was weird to think about somebody else living there. She hated it. Portia said it felt like they were leaving the moments they’d bult in the house, but the memories stayed with them and never faded as long as they kept talking about them. When they bought the place, they’d dreamed of a growing family. It may look a little different, but their dreams were still coming true.
Trina said she knew Portia was right. Just because the walls changed, didn’t mean the memories faded away. Lucy and Curtis came back, and Trina said Kai had texted and she was going to step out. Lucy thought the house would be snatched up before she had a chance to list it. She got the feeling they were eager to put the process behind them and wrap things up.
Outside, Trina asked Kai what the police wanted to know, and he said, they wanted to know about Michael’s key. She said she didn’t think Willow planted the key, but he said, she shot Drew. They didn’t know if she’d stop until she framed Michael. Trina said she was glad he’d resigned, but he said he didn’t. Willow asked him to stay and he said yes.
Boyle told Laura that Sidwell was a well-connected donor and would be the perfect guide, but she said, speaking as someone who’d served the community for several years, she believed she had a deeper sense of what the voters wanted. And it wasn’t a power player with a big fat wallet telling their representative how to represent them. Boyle said he was hoping she’d learn to play the game, but she said she wasn’t one to fall in line. Sorry, but she didn’t think Willow was that person either.
Chase promised he’d choose Brook every time, and Ned said, don’t tell him. Tell Brook. Coming out of the living room, Brook said, tell her what? and Chase said that they were going on a date tonight. It was a surprise. Ned handed them they’re coats (here’s your hat, what’s your hurry?) and held the door open. He told them to enjoy their evening, and they left. Tracy asked what that was about, and Ned said he gave Chase some advice about the Willow situation and thought he took it, but Tracy said, fat chance.
Jacinda said even the stockroom was beautiful, and Kristina said she couldn’t wait until it was up and running. Jacinda said she couldn’t wait to claim her seat at the bar on opening night, and Kristina said they should get going. Sonny said he had something to do and would lock up when he left. When they were gone, he made a call and asked someone to meet him at Charlie’s.
Turner said it was an interesting choice, given that Sonny’s daughter almost died there, and Sonny said, Kristina had her heart set on reopening. He always backed his children. Turner said he’d be happy to know that the investigation into Drew’s shooting had been shelved. His son was off the hook, so he could drop the act, pretending he was interested in her. He said he wasn’t pretending.
Portia signed the paperwork, and Lucy said, one down and one to go. Curtis hesitated and flashed back to asking if Portia was ready for boat life. He told Lucy that he was sorry, but he couldn’t.
Trina said Kai couldn’t stay as Willow’s intern. She was a dangerous woman. Kai said that’s why he needed to stay. He realized Drew wasn’t a good person, but no one deserved to be shot. Trina said it wasn’t safe, but he said he understood the risk. Aside from Alexis, they were the only ones who knew the truth. The least he could do was keep an eye on Willow. Trina wondered, at what point would he walk away?
Laura said Willow heard them both and they should step back and give her the time and space she needed to get acclimated. She’d be in touch. In the hallway, Boyle said he guessed anything coming from him was out of the question, and Laura said she didn’t like being told what to do and he’d been awful to her. He said she thought she was protecting Willow, but she wasn’t. She needed to get aligned now, for everyone’s sake, especially hers. He left.
Willow said Drew probably heard. Kai said the police had gotten nowhere with the investigation. That meant her plan to have sole custody of Wiley and Amelia wasn’t panning out the way she’d hope, but it was for the best. The longer they searched, they could find evidence against her. This started just because she wanted her kids back. Now circumstances had changed and for once, they’d actually improved. This position was a far better use of her time.
Michael went to Dante’s office, and Dante said they were dropping the investigation into Drew’s shooting. Michael said he didn’t want Dante to do him any favors, but Dante said, not him. It was Turner. For the record, he thought she made the right call. Michael said he’d be lying if he didn’t say he was relieved, and Dante said him too, but Michael should know there was no clear path to prove his guilt, and also no clear path to clearing his name. In the court of public opinion, he’d always be under suspicion.
Ned asked if Chase said something to make Tracy think he’d keep pursuing Willow’s innocence and Michael’s guilt, and she told him that Brook said they were moving forward with plans for adoption if Chase was willing to give up his rogue pursuits. He asked, why the skepticism? and she said, there was more to the man than people realized. Willow had entangled Chase to this degree and he’d reordered his life to protect her. She was concerned about Brook.
Walking down the street, Brook said it was a perfect night. He was an incredible man. He said he loved her and never wanted her to doubt it. They kissed, and as they started walking again, Brook said, oh my God.
Tuesday:
Brook said, oh my God. Is that a body? She and Chase ran over to a young woman lying on the sidewalk, and Brook said, she’s pregnant. Chase said she was breathing and asked if she could hear them. The woman came to and asked, what happened? Chase said she passed out, and Brook said she’d call 911, but the woman said, please don’t.
Portia said she thought she and Curtis were on the same page. Why did he want to keep the house? He said because he wanted her to have it.
In Britt’s office, Jordan said she had one kidney, needed labs run, and had a question she didn’t know how to answer. Britt asked if Jordan thought she was pregnant.
At the Quartermaines’, Tracy told Jason that his son was using the gatehouse as a mancave. The staff said he’d left dirty dishes and smelly clothes, and tracked in mud. Some kind of disciplinary action was needed. Alexis said Danny also skipped school six times. She’d gotten the call because they’d gotten Jason’s voicemail.
Elizabeth saw Lucas at the hospital and said she’d been worried about him. If he was going to be late, shoot her a text so she knew he was alive. If he didn’t, she’d assume the worst.
Marco went to a safe behind a painting in the living room and opened it. He took out Britt’s medication, when Sidwell came in and asked what he was doing.
Turner said they both knew Sonny had ulterior motives to compromise her, and Sonny said, maybe at first. She said there was no need to keep up the charade now, and he said he wasn’t the only one with an ulterior motive. She was hoping to get close to him and find evidence nobody else had been able to find so she could take him down. She said, of course (🍷). She thought she’d been upfront. He said he was past all that and thought she was too. Was he right?
The woman said she was fine. She’d just gotten dizzy. Chase said she’d been out cold, and Brook said they thought she was dead. The woman said she’d been told to watch her blood sugar. She wasn’t in pain, just embarrassed. Chase said they wanted to make sure she get home, and the woman said she was from out of town and staying at a hotel close by. Brook suggested they walk her, and they helped her up. Brook introduced herself and Chase, and the woman said her name was Delilah. She doubled over and cried out in pain.
Marco said he was getting Britt’s injection ready, but Sidwell said it was Pascal’s turn. Marco said Britt couldn’t stand him, but Sidwell said he didn’t care. Britt didn’t call the shots and they needed to keep that woman in line. Carly came in and said they weren’t talking about her, were they?
Lucas said he loved Elizabeth and she was a great mother, but she wasn’t his mother. She was being over protective. She said he knew how dangerous Sidwell was, and he said that’s why he and Marco were moving out soon. How was her Valentine’s Day with Ric? She said, it was wonderful. They went hatchet throwing and had a really nice time. He said, how nice? and she said they’d catch up later.
Jason said he was fine with Danny hanging out at the gatehouse, but he was not to be inconsiderate to the staff. He was going to apologize and clean the place from top to bottom. Tracy said to her standards, and Jason said the gatehouse was off limits for two months and no more cutting school. Danny said he got good grades, but Jason said he still had to show up and participate. Danny said unless there was an emergency. You never knew when they’d need help hiding a body.
Turner said if they were actually having this conversation, she needed a drink, and Sonny said he’d cultivated a personal relationship with her so she’d be compromised. That way, she couldn’t prosecute him or anybody in his family, and she went along with it. She said she was hoping he’d let his guard down and slip up, but unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned. Sonny said he was too smart, and she said, at some point, he stopped being a criminal she was determined to take down and became someone she started to care about.
Curtis said he’d like to sign over his half of the house to Portia. It was the ideal place to raise a child and he knew she loved it. She said he’d overheard her conversation with Trina, and he said he did. It would be a shame to sell it and he wanted her to have it. She said she couldn’t let him do that, and he said, why not? He couldn’t blame her for lying and keeping things from him, when he’d made it impossible to tell the truth. She said it was a relief to hear him say that and she’d needed to hear it, but why was he doing this for her? He said she was the mother of his children. Please let him do this for her and their daughter or son.
Jordan told Britt that she was late, but it wasn’t unusual. She’d been irregular since after the transplant. Britt asked if she was sexually active, and Jordan said, yes. Britt asked if she used birth control, but Jordan said, not every time. Britt said she could do a test, when a nurse came in and said Britt was needed. Jordan said she’d pick up a test, and depending on the results, she’d reach out. Britt asked if it would be positive and welcome news, and Jordan said that was a good question.
Carly said the butler let her in, and Sidwell said they’d been having a discussion about a difficult business associate. He told Marco that he’d been hoping to have a private conversation with Carly, and Marco said, of course (🍷), and left. Carly asked why Sidwell didn’t want Marco to stay, and he said he had a proposal for her that he’d like to remain between them.
Jason said, in the future, if there was an emergency, call him first and he’d decide if it justified skipping school. Danny asked if he could go. He was supposed to meet a friend. Jason told him to be back by 10, and Danny left. Tracy said if Jason had learned anything from the Quartermaines or Sonny, it should have been that unenforced laws were useless. He needed to reign Danny in. If he didn’t, who would parent Danny? Jason said he had something he wanted to run by them.
Brook wondered if Delilah was having contractions, but Delilah said it was too early. It was probably Braxton Hicks. Chase said they had to get her to the hospital, but it would be faster to take his car.
Jason said he was getting his affairs order and would like their input, and Alexis asked if there was a specific reason for the urgency. Jason said Diane had pointed out that he hadn’t updated his will since Sam passed. He knew Jake had Elizabeth, but now that Sam was gone, he needed to appoint a guardian for Danny. Alexis said Danny was her grandson and she’d be happy to take him in, and Tracy said Danny was also Monica’s grandson and this was already his home. It made more sense for her to be his guardian.
Danny met Charlotte at a strip mall, and she said she’d been grounded until she was 90, but snuck out. He said he didn’t want her to get in more trouble, but she said it was worth the risk.
Sidwell said his mission was to build a bridge between their families for Marco and Lucas’s sake, and Carly asked, why the secrecy? He said Marco would see it as meddling, and she said it might be a surprise, but she meddled. He said he’d like her to help plan a dinner party at Windymere, including her and all of Lucas’s family, but she said she wasn’t sure she could accept the invitation.
Marco found Lucas at the hospital, and Lucas asked if he got it. Marco said, almost. He had it in his hand and his dad caught him, but he thought he covered it well. He’d try again later. Lucas told him, be careful, and Marco said, before he left, Lucas’s sister stopped by for a private meeting with his father. Chase and Brook came in with Delilah, and Lucas and Elizabeth ran over to them. Delilah said she wasn’t due for another two months, and Lucas said Dr. Westbourne was the best there was. He asked Elizabeth to page her, and Delilah asked Brook to come with her.
Sonny said he liked Turner very much and there was nothing he’d rather do than give her a kiss, but she said they both knew that would be a huge mistake.
Portia said she accepted Curtis’s generous offer, and he said he’d have the paperwork drawn up. She thanked him, and he said he was glad the house would stay in the family. They’d put roots here and filled the house with love. Now their son or daughter got to be raised in it.
Charlotte asked why Danny wanted to meet, and Danny said he told his dad that they’d kissed. She said it was nice he could talk to his dad about anything, and he said his dad was cool and thought it would be a good idea to make sure she was okay with the kiss. She said it took her by surprise, but it was a good surprise. It made her realize that she’d wanted to do that for a while. He said him too. He was bummed when Rocco interrupted them. She said, her too. Other than that, it was a perfect first kiss, but she thought it should be their last.
Jason said he was just weighing options, and Alexis said Danny was her grandson and Scout was already living with her. Sam had made it clear she wanted Danny to live with his sister. It’s what Sam would want. Tracy said Danny loved living there and she’d been considering giving him the gatehouse. Jason said that was news to him, and Tracy said she didn’t want to spoil the surprise. Alexis said Tracy had seen that Danny could be handful, but Tracy said she’d raised two boys. Alexis said, her and how many nannies? and Tracy said Danny was a Quartermaine, and as such, belonged there. Jason said he could talk to Michael about being Danny’s guardian, but Tracy said Michael couldn’t even hold onto his own kids. Jason said there was also Carly, and Tracy said, absolutely not, while Alexis said, hell no.
Sidwell said he was surprised at Carly’s response. He’d thought they settled their difference. She said they were fine, but she was dating the head of the Port Charles WSB field office and he’d been the target of WSB investigations. She didn’t think he’d be comfortable with her bringing Jack, and she wasn’t comfortable leaving him at home. Sidwell said he’d been at odds with the WSB on other continents and under different circumstances. Now they coexisted in a peaceful manner because he’d cleaned up his act. Let Jack come and see it firsthand. She said she was happy to help, when Sidwell’s phone rang. He said he had to take it and left. Carly started snooping around.
Delilah thanked Brook for staying. She was terrified. Brook said she wasn’t going anywhere, when Britt came in and said she’d be Deliliah’s OB/GYN this evening. Lucas said Delilah was seven months pregnant and experiencing severe abdominal pain. Brook and Chase found her unconscious. They’d drawn labs and put her on a fetal monitor. Delilah asked if the baby was coming, and Britt said they were going to find out. Brook held Delilah’s hand and we noticed a tatoo on her wrist.
Turner said if she and Sonny gave in to their attraction, it would blow up both of their lives. If they were found out, her career was over. Sonny said if his business associates found out, they’d think he was feeding her information and he’d be a dead man, an she said the smart thing would be to walk away and never see each other again. He agreed, but she said she didn’t know if she wanted to do that yet.
in her apartment, Jordan looked at the pregnancy test, when there was a knock at the door. She put it in her bag, but wasn’t good at hiding it, since the top was visible. She opened the door to Curtis and asked how it went with Portia. He said better than he expected. He went to put the house on the market, and instead, gave his half to Portia. They’d filled the house with love and he wanted the baby raised there. He couldn’t believe he was about to be a father again. He glanced at her bag. 🤔
Alexis told Jason, the bottom line was that he was Danny’s father and it was is decision, but she hoped he took Sam’s wishes into account. He said he knew Sam wanted them to stay together, and Tracy said, by living there. Scout was also a Quartermaine. Alexis said, but her father wasn’t, and Tracy said she allowed it to skip a generation. Scout was more than welcome to live there. Alexis said, whatever Jason’s decision, please keep Sam in mind, and Tracy said, don’t forget Monica. Nothing would have made her happier than having Danny under her roof with the rest of the family. Jason thanked them both for stepping up. Danny was lucky to have so many people who cared about him. He’d let them know as soon as he’d decided.
Danny wondered if he’d done something wrong, but Charlotte said, not at all. But there were so many reasons not to do it, like Rocco. She’d feel weird if he found out. Her mom had been worried about her and the situation with her dad lately. He was still in hiding, but if he ran, she’d go with him. He only had her. Danny said he didn’t want her to go, but she said her dad needed her and she needed Danny to be her friend. Pretend the kiss never happened. He said he couldn’t. He didn’t want to. Did she? She said, no, and kissed him.
Felicia asked Chase to help her fill out the form for Delilah. What could he tell her? Chase said they’d found her unconscious in the park. She’d claimed she passed out from low blood sugar. Felicia asked if he didn’t believe her, and he said he wasn’t a doctor. She asked if he knew Deliliah’s last name, but he said she hadn’t mentioned it. She said she was from out of town and staying at a hotel near the park. Felicia said Deliliah was clearly scared, but his wife did a good job of keeping her calm, and he said Brook could always be counted on in a crisis.
Looking at the screen, Britt said Delilah’s amniotic sac was intact. That meant they could stop her from going into labor. When she passed out, did she fall on her abdomen or had she had recent trauma in the abdomen area? Delilah said she wasn’t sure. She couldn’t remember. Britt told Lucas that she was seeing internal bleeding between the placenta and the uterine wall. Delilah cried out, said something was wrong, then passed out. Elizabeth removed Brook from the room as Britt gave out medical instructions.
Turner said if they gave into their mutual attraction, it could compromise everything she’d worked so hard for, and Sonny said he’d put his life at risk. They could just see what happened, just this once. Nobody would know. She said, one night and they’d go their separate ways, and he said, what other choice did they have? She said, walk away before things got more complicated, and he said he totally understood, but didn’t want her to go. What did she want?
Portia called Isaiah and asked him to stop by the house.
Jordan said she was sure Portia was thrilled, and Curtis said, Lucy was disappointed. But when he called and asked her to find him a new home, it improved her mood. Jordan said she didn’t want to take business away from Lucy, but why didn’t he move in with her?
Brook told Chase that Delilah passed out, monitors went off, and they kicked her out. He said Delilah was in good hands, but she said she was scared for Delilah and the baby. He held her.
Britt said Delilah was stable, but there was internal bleeding. The ultrasound indicated a concealed placental abruption. (Wasn’t that what Sasha had?) Page Dr. Alcott. Delilah needed an emergency C-section to save the baby. Elizabeth phoned for someone to page the doctor.
Charlotte and Danny kissed, and she said she should get home before her mom realized she was gone. Danny said if she ended up going with her dad, promise to let him know, and she said she’d try, and left.
In the foyer, Alexis said she was glad Diane brought up the will and Jason was taking action. She knew he was going to do what was best for Danny. Tracy held the door open, and Alexis left. Tracy said Alexis was gone. What was the real story? What kind of trouble was Jason in? He said he didn’t know what she meant, and walked away.
Carly kept looking around the living room, checking underneath busts and knickknacks, and behind paintings. She moved a painting and found the safe with Britt’s medication in it.
Sonny said it would be just one night, and Turner asked how she knew he wasn’t still playing her. He said she didn’t. They could go over who had more power to destroy the other… She said it would be a mutual destruction, and he said, or they could cross the line together. She said there was so much to lose for the both of them, and he said there was. She said, so was acting on this worth it? and he said there was only one way to find out. They kissed.
Wednesday:
Carly snooped around the Windymere living room and found the safe storing Britt’s medicine. Ava walked in.
Marco saw Josslyn at the hospital and told her Lucas was in the ER. Josslyn said she wanted to apologize on her mother’s behalf.
Valentin rooted around Sonny’s old kitchen and visited the moss bowl 🎍, when he heard someone coming and scooted around the corner. Charlotte came in with Lulu, and they talked about dropping off crafts supplies for Donna. Valentin listened in as Charlotte complained about being grounded, and Lulu said Charlotte had a long way to go to regain her trust.
Jordan said Curtis needed a place, so why go through the hassle when he could live there? She loved having him stay there and was looking to make it more official… unless he thought it was too soon.
Isaiah met Portia at the house, and she told him that Curtis had given it to her.
Brook worried in the waiting area, and Elizabeth told her that Delilah needed an emergency C-section.
Britt said Delilah had massive internal bleeding and she had to operate now.
Charlotte complained about being babysat and asked if it was really so terrible that Lulu and Nathan had to look for her. Lulu flashed back to their kiss, and said it was. They could have gotten hurt. Charlotte said she was sorry, but how long did she have to pay? and Lulu said she had to make sure Charlotte understood her actions had consequences. Charlotte said her dad trusted her to find her way around Prague alone and Lulu wouldn’t trust her for an hour. The moss bowl🎍concurred.
Josslyn said her mom had been unfair, but she was just being protective, and Marco said her mom had a change of heart and fully supported them now. She came to Windymere to apologize and said she wanted to get to know his father better. He thought she realized he truly loved Lucas and wanted the best for him.
Ava said Carly’s newfound interest in art was surprising. It was obvious why she was actually there. She wanted to get Jenz on her side to break up Marco and Lucas. Sidwell came in and said he wasn’t expecting Ava today, and she said she didn’t realize he had a visitor. He told her, in the future, she should probably call first.
Curtis said he was exactly where he wanted to be and he wanted to spend as much time as possible with Jordan. She wasn’t a rebound and if they took that step, it was great, but they didn’t have to rush. Jordan glanced at her bag.
There was lots of medical dialogue, and Britt said, find Dr. Alcott.
Nathan arrived at the hospital and Chase explained how they’d found Delilah. Nathan asked about ID, and Brook said she’d mentioned staying at a nearby hotel. Chase said they hadn’t searched for purse, but he didn’t think she was a crime victim, and Brook said something went wrong and Delilah was in the trauma room. Felicia saw Dr. Alcott come out of the elevator and said he must be there for the baby.
Dr. Alcott asked what they were dealing with, and Elizabeth told him that Delilah was seven months pregnant. Britt said she needed to get the baby out as fast as she could.
Lulu said Charlotte had been forced to become more independent, but she’d always worry about her. Valentin jetted upstairs, and Charlotte said Lulu worried too much. Her grandma and grandpa had been so cool about her Uncle Lucky traveling alone when he was younger than her. Lulu said it had been a last resort, and they’d taught him to take care of himself like her dad did with her. She thought Charlotte was really upset because her dad hadn’t come for her after his escape, and it must hurt to think her dad left her behind.
Portia said the house was the perfect home for the baby to grow up in, but Isaiah was concerned about Curtis’s motive. Maybe it was his way of making her feel indebted and to exert control over her and the baby. Portia said she thought he did it because he thought it was right, but Isaiah was worried Curtis would think the house was his. Portia said he’d signed it over, but she understood. She wasn’t sure Curtis would like her choices, like she didn’t like him pursuing Jordan, but they’d figure out how to co-parent and move on. She was grateful, but that didn’t mean Curtis had a say in what she did with her life.
Britt said the baby was out, but not breathing, and Dr. Alcott worked on the baby, doing chest compression. Britt said she had to remove the placenta and get the bleeding under control.
Felicia said she’d check Delilah’s personal effects and left. Nathan asked if Delilah had mentioned family or the father of the baby, but Chase said no. Nathan asked if she’d mentioned what she was doing there, but Britt said, no. Nathan asked if they had the impression she was avoiding their questions.
Jordan asked if Curtis could see himself living there, and he said, definitely. They agreed he would move in, and he said he wanted them to work this time. She said part of her had never moved on and the second chance was a dream come true. They’d watch each other’s backs and move forward together. He said, sounds like a plan, and they kissed. We saw her bag with the pregnancy test peeking out.
Lulu said Valentin was protecting Charlotte by staying away, when Josslyn came in. Lulu said they were dropping off art supplies for Donna, and Charlotte said she’d put them in Donna’s room. She left, and Lulu said Charlotte was mad because she’d been grounded after her blizzard stunt. She told Josslyn about how she and Nathan ended up spending the night at the Bad Jen Café and said, Josslyn wasn’t out traipsing around in the storm, was she?
Charlotte went to the attic, and Valentin said this had to stop. She couldn’t keep taking the risk.
Ava said Sidwell’s latest acquisition came in earlier than expected and she’d delivered the painting. Pascal put it in his office, but she was awaiting his approval before hanging it. Sidwell said she was right and he appreciated her initiative, and Carly said, Ava was quite a hustler. Sidwell said he’d asked Carly to come because they were plotting something. Did Ava care to join them?
Brook said Delilah had gone into labor and there was no time to ask questions, and Chase said he got the impression she was alone and self-sufficient. She kept saying everything was fine. Nathan said he’d check out where they’d found her, and Brook wondered if they shouldn’t have heard the baby crying by now.
As the doctor continued chest compression, Elizabeth said, come on, little one. They got a heartbeat, and Lucas took the baby to the NICU. Britt said the placenta was out, but she couldn’t get the bleeding under control. She had to do a hysterectomy. She called for the defibrillator and an intern used it on Delilah.
Brook said they’d brought out an incubator, which meant the baby was alive, but why hadn’t they heard anything? She should have asked Delilah her last name. Her family should know. Chase said he was sure she’d tell them herself soon, and Britt said she was still alone and must be scared. She’d been petrified when she’d had Gio, but her mom was with her. Delilah must have someone out there who should know she was in trouble.
Charlotte told Valentin that her mom thought she was putting stuff in Donna’s room. She didn’t think Valentin was even in Port Charles and thought Charlotte was upset because he never came for her. He said Lulu needed to keep thinking that. He was working on something and Charlotte needed to be patient. They’d be together soon. She said her mom was smothering her, but he said her mom loved her. Be careful. Don’t ever underestimate her mother.
Lulu asked if Josslyn got stuck in the snow, and Josslyn flashed back to finding the copy of The Crystalline Conspiracy with the inscription at Windymere. She said, no. She’d been on her way to a frat party, saw how bad it was, and turned around. Lulu said she didn’t think frat parties were Josslyn’s thing and thought Josslyn was bored. It was never a good idea when a Spencer got bored and tried to make life exciting. Charlotte returned, and Josslyn said she was going to wait for her mom. Lulu and Charlotte left.
Isaiah and Portia looked at the view, and Portia said she was afraid she and Curtis would never have a civil conversation. Now they were going to raise their child together and give it the best life. Isaiah said he was sorry if his attitude made a difference, but she said it hadn’t, in spite of how Curtis had treated him. He said it couldn’t be easy to lose someone as amazing as she was, and they kissed.
Britt said, time of death, 7:32 pm. She had patients to see. She left, and Elizabeth said everyone handled death differently.
Nathan looked around in the dark with a flashlight, and found Delilah’s bag under the bench. He also found what looked like a notepad, but according to social media, no one is sure.
Curtis said he knew Jordan had labs today and asked how it went.
Sidwell said he was planning a dinner party for Marco and Lucas and their respective families. Carly had agreed to help plan it. They’d had their differences, but were getting along for Marco and Lucas’s sake. Carly was bringing the handsome Agent Brennan, and as Lucas’s aunt, he hoped Ava would join them. Ava said she loved her nephew and supported his relationship, but Carly didn’t like her and she didn’t think Carly wanted her there. Carly said Sidwell wanted to invite her and she thought Ava should come, and Ava said, in that case, she would. Sidwell said it would be an absolutely lovely evening, and Carly said it would be unforgettable.
Brook asked how Delilah and the baby were, and Lucas said he was sorry. Delilah didn’t make it. She lost too much blood. Brook said she’d told Delilah that she’d be okay, and Lucas said, because of Brook, she was there and not alone in the dark. He was going to the NICU to check on her daughter. Chase asked if the baby would be okay, and Lucas said he’d let them know as soon as he could. Elizabeth told Brook that someone would come to take Delilah to the morgue. Hopefully, they’d be able to locate her next of kin and notify them of her passing. Brook asked if she could be with Delilah. She’d told Delilah that she wouldn’t be alone. Elizabeth took her to the trauma room, and said she could stay, but Chase said her day had been tough too. He thanked her and she left. Brook said Delilah was so young and had so much to live for.
Nathan came back to the hospital and saw Lulu, who said she was picking up Rocco’s community service hours for court. He said he was there on a case, sort of. Had she talked to Maxie? She said, at her welcome home party. They’d been texting, but Maxie was busy with the kids and Deception. The next time she saw Maxie, she had to tell her about them.
Elizabeth went to the locker room and saw Britt crying.
Josslyn heard something upstairs and got out her gun.
Sidwell said he was inviting Josslyn and Lucy as well, and Carly said Lucy was fun. She had to go, but she’d see herself out. When Carly was gone, Sidwell said, watching the two of them was like watching a fencing match between competitors who were at the top of their game, and he applauded. Ava said there was never a dull moment with Carly. You never knew what she might do.
Isaiah said he knew Portia loved the place and was glad she got to stay, but he’d miss her at the cabin. She said she’d find her way there for a weekend or two, and wanted him to spend time there. He asked if she was sure it wouldn’t be awkward, him spending time in the same house she’d shared with Curtis, and she said she was positive. It was her house now and she could never feel awkward with him. Just the opposite. They kissed.
Jordan told Curtis that there was nothing to worry about. Her kidneys were great and working perfectly. She just needed to take one more test. She’d let him know if it came to anything. He said he wanted to know everything about her – always.
Elizabeth asked if everything was okay, and Britt said she had to get back to work. Elizabeth said, it was awful losing that woman, but Britt probably saved the baby. Britt said they didn’t know that yet, and Elizabeth said the baby had the best chance possible because of her. She didn’t falter or lose her cool. She did what she could to save her and the mother. Britt said, it still wasn’t enough, and Elizabeth said, sometimes it wasn’t, but this was the first patient Britt lost since she’d gotten her medical license back. Britt said, and it won’t be the last, so she shouldn’t cry, but Elizabeth said she meant it was important to honor the people they lost. She’d never fault Britt for doing that.
Brook told Delilah that she was so sorry about what happened. They’d only known each other a little while, but she saw Delilah loved her baby. She had a little girl. Delilah was so scared and she’d told her it would be okay. Brook cried, and Chase said she was there when Delilah needed someone and needed reassurance. She held Delilah’s hand and made sure it was okay. Brook promised she was going to do everything she could to get Delilah’s little girl back home to her family. Rest easy, Delilah. They left, and in the hallway, Lucas said he had good news. Delilah’s baby was in serious, yet stable, condition. He thought the baby would make it. Brook said the baby needed to be with family and the had to find them ASAP.
Nathan told Lulu, Maxie chose Spinelli. Maybe she’d take the news in stride and be okay with it. Lulu said, Maxie would be okay with her husband having feelings for her best friend. She loved Maxie, but in what universe did that sound like her? He said she was probably right. Maxie was going to be upset, but as her husband, he should tell her the truth. They didn’t mean for it to happen and they didn’t want to hurt her. Lulu said hearing him convinced her that it would be easier for Maxie to hear it from her. She had to stop being a chicken and tell her best friend the truth. He said she wasn’t chicken. She was brave and fearless. They’d tell Maxie together and make her understand. She said, yes, they would, they kissed, and Felicia saw them.
Josslyn tiptoed around upstairs with her gun drawn. She listened at one of the doors and quietly opened it. Seeing Valentin with his back turned to her, she said, freeze. Don’t move.
Thursday:
Josslyn told Valentin, freeze. Don’t move. Put your hands in the air. Now turn around slowly.
Jack went to Jason’s office at the coffee warehouse and said he was looking for off the record intel on Cullum. He wanted to know what they’d talked about.
Brook and Chase tried to fill out a form for Delilah, but all Brook knew was the baby’s birthdate, Delilah’s name, and that she’d fought incredibly hard for her child and died.
Britt said she’d forgotten how difficult it was to have a patient die and asked if Elizabeth had an update on the baby. Elizabeth said Baby Jane Doe was holding her own, and Britt said, that was something. Elizabeth said that was everything. Britt made a miracle.
From down the hall, Felicia saw Nathan and Lulu kiss. Nathan told Lulu that she had this and he left. Felicia approached Lulu, who asked about a schedule, and Felicia said she’d get it when she picked her jaw up off the floor after seeing Lulu kiss her best friend’s husband.
Valentin said he was unarmed. Could he lower his hands? Josslyn said, no. She was taking him in. He marveled that she was a Bonafide WSB agent, and she kicked and punched him, knocking him to the floor.
Turner hunted for her earrings in Sonny’s bed, when he walked in.
Joss tied up Valentin with an extension cord, when Carly walked in. Carly asked if Josslyn was going to shoot her own mother, and Josslyn lowered her gun. She said Carly knew he was here. Was she aiding and abetting a fugitive? Carly said, that’s right, and Josslyn asked, how long? Carly said, since he’d escaped, and Josslyn asked, why? Carly said Valentin was the only way to get her out of the WSB.
Jack wondered what Cullum had asked Jason and what Jason told him,. Jason flashed back to Britt saying they couldn’t see each other. Cullum made that clear and wouldn’t think twice about killing him. Jason suggested Jack ask Cullum himself, but Cullum said he was trying to figure out how dangerous Cullum was.
Britt said if she’d pulled off a miracle, she wasn’t alone. Elizabeth had impressed her. She had an unshakable presence and knew what was needed before she was asked. She’d never seen better clinical skills and judgment, and Elizabeth managed it with empathy and humanity… She found Elizabeth insufferable, but she saw why patients found her reassuring. Elizabeth breather a sigh of relief and said, it was almost a whole compliment, and Britt asked if she was okay. It must have been hard on her as a mother. Elizabeth said, it was awful. She imagined it was hard on Britt too for the same reason.
Lulu said it wasn’t what it looked like, and Felicia asked how long it had been going on. Lulu said it was very new, the last few months, but the kissing was a more recent development. Felicia said it was wildly inappropriate. Maxie just came back and she’d think Lulu would have more consideration as her best friend. Lulu said it took her by surprise, but Maxie chose Spinelli, and Felicia said, so she thought that made it okay?
Nathan told Brook and Chase that he’d found an expensive looking handbag (matter of perspective), but it was unfortunately cleaned out. There was no wallet, ID, keys, or phone. Chase said, the mother didn’t make it and the baby was in the NICU with no known relatives, and Brook asked what they’d do to find the family. Nathan said, run a DNA match and check missing persons, but Brook said there must be more they could do. (Um… and fingerprints?)
Josslyn said Carly was harboring an international fugitive. If she’d enlisted in the military, Carly wouldn’t go to war with the entire army. Carly said she wasn’t letting Josslyn put her life on the line, but Josslyn said it wasn’t her call. Was she insane? She could go to prison for 20 years minimum. Carly said it would be worth it to keep her safe, and Valentin asked if either of them was willing to untie him. Josslyn pushed Carly out the door and followed her.
In Sonny’s old kitchen, Josslyn asked if Carly had any idea what laws she’d broken. Carly could end up in prison for the rest of her life because of something she chose to do, and there was no moss bowl🎍there. Carly said she’d known for months, and Josslyn asked why she didn’t say something. Carly said she was waiting for Josslyn to tell her, and Josslyn said she couldn’t. She wasn’t allowed to tell anybody. But that didn’t stop Jason from telling Carly. Carly said, he did. He thought she deserved to know and respected her enough not to lie to her face – unlike Josslyn.
Jack told Jason that Cullum was involved with Sidwell. He didn’t know what the agenda was, but it could end badly for Josslyn. He was doing what he could to shield her, but if Cullum dug deep, he could find out she was an agent and use it against her. He knew Jason cared about Josslyn. Jason said the fact that he traded on that proved he wasn’t to be trusted, but Jack said Jason could trust him because he’d saved Jason’s best friend’s life.
Felicia said Maxie chose to move forward with Spinelli and they already had, and Lulu said, exactly. They loved each other and had built a beautiful life. They were happy. Felicia said that didn’t mean Maxie stopped loving Nathan. How did she think Maxie would feel knowing her best friend had gotten involved with him? Lulu said they weren’t involved. They had a connection, but didn’t know what it was. Felicia said it involved kissing, and Lulu said, Maxie moved on. So did Nathan. Seven years had gone by. Felicia said she didn’t expect Nathan to pine for Maxie forever. He’d eventually move on with somebody else, but moving on with Lulu was entirely different. What if Maxie had chosen Nathan? Would they have snuck around? Lulu said, absolutely not and she couldn’t believe Felicia asked her that.
Turner asked what this place was, and Sonny said he owned the building. When it was restored after the fire, he had a studio put in so Kristina could stay if she had a late night. Turner said, so it was for him not to worry, but he said he’d always worry, but not about Kristina driving while exhausted. Turner said it was thoughtful, and he said that’s the kind of guy he was.
Lulu told Felicia, if Maxie had chosen Nathan, that would have been the end of it. They would have respected Maxie’s decision and gone their separate ways. Throwing it in her face like they were cheating was unfair. Felicia asked if what they were doing was above board.
Chase said there were other avenues the PCPD could pursue, and Nathan said they’d have uniforms do some door knocking and check the hotels near the park to see if any guests didn’t show up or check out when they were supposed to. They said they had no reason to think she was mugged? Brook said Deliliah just told them she’d passed out, and Nathan asked if they noticed anything suspicious, but Chase said, nothing that jumped out. Maybe the purse would tell a different story.
Britt looked at Rocco’s picture on her phone and texted some emojis to Jason.
Sonny said Charlie’s wasn’t open for a couple of weeks, so they were safe there, and Turner said it was for the best that nobody see them. If it got out that they’d spent the night together, it would destroy them both.
Jason said Carly wouldn’t have been poisoned in the first place if not for Jack, but Jack said he was talking about the audiophile where Carly claimed she was head of the Corinthos crime organization. Had it been kept on the FBI’s watch list, Carly would have been arrested. Who did he think broke into the FBI server and made it go away?
Valentin freed himself and grabbed his bag.
Carly said Josslyn had made a life altering decision and lied to her, going back to Easter Island. That wasn’t part of the plan. Josslyn said, whose plan? She had no choice. Lying was the assignment. She’d live her normal college life and be a WSB agent in secret. Her being in college was a big part of why she was recruited. Carly said, by Jack, and Josslyn said, yes. He didn’t force her. It was her choice and he told her beforehand that she’d have to hide the truth, but she said yes. Carly said Josslyn couldn’t stand Jack and didn’t want her involved with him. Why had she let him recruit her into that awful life?
Sonny said tonight they took a risk, and Turner said she could lose her career. He said he’d be marked for death by morning. Any regrets? She said, none. Him? He said, no, and she said she had to get it out of her system, so she decided to take away its power. He said she scratched the itch, and she said now she was going to savor her drink. They both knew this would never happen again. He said, cheers to that, and they clinked glasses.
Josslyn asked what was wrong with trying to make the world a better place, and Carly suggested she look at Anna, but Josslyn said that was because of Faison. Carly said it was because the WSB life broke her. It would kill her if something happened to Josslyn. She was sure there was a good person buried in Jack, but he was a liar, and unbeknownst to her, pushed her daughter into a dangerous world. Josslyn said that was the price for justice, and Carly said, what justice? Josslyn said she’d found proof that Cyrus killed Dex. He never would have gotten caught and paid for it, so she hunted him down. And when he tried to kill her, she killed him.
Jason told Jack that Cullum didn’t say anything about Josslyn. He wanted to know about Britt. He wanted to know why Jason went to Croatia and the Five Poppies to try and save her. He’d said they’d been in a relationship and Cullum asked if they were still in contact. Jack wondered if Cullum asked what Britt was working on, when Jason got Britt’s text. He texted back with a coffee cup and no sign emoji, and said Cullum asked what Britt was working on. He said as far as he knew, she was a doctor. Jack said if Cullum reached out, could Jason let him know? and Jason said he could do that.
Chase told Nathan that Delilah had told them she’d been walking and got dizzy. That was all she remembered before she woke up. Brook said, the poor baby, alone with no family, and Chase said they’d find them. She asked, how? and Nathan said he knew what to do.
Felicia said Lulu had decades history with Maxie. She owed it to Maxie to tell her what was going on and face the consequences. Lulu said she would have never kept it a secret. Maxie deserved the truth. Felicia said, what if Maxie was devastated, furious, or all the above? and Lulu said she’d explain and hope Maxie forgave her, but Maxie didn’t get both Nathan and Spinelli. She had to choose and she did. Felicia said it seemed Lulu wanted it both ways with her best friend and best friend’s husband. Good luck with that. She had the feeling Lulu would find it next to impossible.
Carly said, Josslyn killed someone, and Josslyn said, Cyrus was the first. Carly said there were more? and Josslyn said it was part of the job. Carly asked if Josslyn heard herself. It wasn’t her, but she guesses she hadn’t known Josslyn for a while. Josslyn said she hated lying to Carly, but Carly said she was skilled at it. How long? Josslyn said, almost a year, and Carly said, and Jack. She couldn’t believe she’d been falling in love with someone who would take advantage of something Josslyn did. Did he force her to kill Cyrus? Josslyn said Jack led her to Cyrus and helped her find out that Cyrus killed Dex, and Carly said he set her up. Josslyn said she thought it was a test to see if she could put the pieces together, and Carly said what Josslyn wanted was to avenge Dex’s murder. What did she need now? Josslyn said she wanted to take down Sonny and everyone like him, mercifully and finally.
Britt went to Jason’s office, and he asked if she didn’t see his text. Now wasn’t a good idea. She said she needed to see him, and he asked if she was okay. She said she delivered a baby tonight, and he said, that’s not good? She said, the mother didn’t make it.
Brook gave the form to Felicia and said they filled out what they could. Felicia said she’d make sure it got where it was supposed to go. They were welcome to visit Baby Jane Doe. Brook said the baby should have a beautiful name, and Felicia said, a little girl was alive because of them. Felicia left, and Brook said Baby Jane Doe was wrong. Chase said it wasn’t forever. What name would she give the baby? She said she needed to see the baby first, and he said, then let’s go visit our new friend in the NICU.
Turner told Sonny that she felt liberated. It was a textbook case of one and done. They took the final step and lived to tell the tale. Sonny said, and they were the only ones who would ever know.
Carly said, this was about Sonny? and Josslyn said he was great when she was little. Then she grew up and saw the real Sonny. He got away with murder and the police consistently came up short trying to stop him. They still couldn’t. The WSB had the resources to bring him to justice. Not just Sonny, but those like him. She’d loved Sonny because Carly wanted her to. She needed Josslyn to love him. She’d say that Sonny was a good man who would do anything for his family, but he got them killed. Morgan was dead because of Sonny. Sonny wanted to kill Dex and almost did. Kristina almost died. Michael almost burned to death for one reason – Sonny is his father and someone wanted to send a message. Who’s next? Avery? Donna? He’d cheated on Carly and treated her horribly for years. She’d fought everybody else her entire life when it came to Sonny. She was done waiting for Carly to have her ah-ha moment. Someone had to take him down.
Looking through the NICU window, Brook said the baby was perfectly perfect, and Chase said that’s what miracles looked like. Brook said the baby reminded her of Bailey Lou, and Chase said, only smaller. Brook said it broke her heart that the baby would go through life without a mom. Her family should be there. Did he think she had siblings? he said he thought Delilah would have mentioned it. They were going to find the baby’s family. She said, and until they did? and he said she had them. They’d promised to take care of the baby and that was exactly what they were going to do.
Nathan was surprised that Lulu was still at the hospital, and she said she was waylaid by Felicia. Felicia saw them kissing and confronted her. To say she was not pleased would be an understatement. Nathan said she should have talked to him or both of them, but Lulu said she was actually glad. It made her realize something. Telling Maxie could cause some real and lasting consequences. Nathan said he didn’t know how they could avoid it now, but Lulu said she didn’t want to avoid it. After what Maxie had been through, they owed her the truth. She had real feelings for Nathan and was ready to own them, but she hoped it didn’t cost her best friend.
Britt told Jason, between her health issues and building cold fusion without a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering, you wouldn’t think losing a patient would bring her to her knees. Jason said it was the first one since she’d had her license reinstated. What happened? She said, a pregnant woman was brought in and was experiencing severe pain. She had a placental abruption. He said, Sam had one a long time ago, and she said, Danny? but he said, no. It was before they were together. She said, and the baby didn’t make it? and he shook his head. She said she was sorry, and he said, this baby did. She said she wished the mom had been as lucky. She didn’t understand why she was being so emotional. There was so much blood. She did everything possible she could to stop it, but it still wasn’t enough. He put his arms around her.
Carly begged Josslyn not throw her life away because of Sonny or anyone else. There were incredible things she could do that didn’t include joining the WSB. Josslyn said Carly still refused to acknowledge who Sonny was and she wasn’t watching her do it with Valentin. Don’t try to save her. Worry about saving herself. She’d turn Valentin in, but then she’d have to arrest Carly. So she was giving Carly 24 hours to get Valentin out of there or she would do it.
Turner said Sonny needed her to keep the secret as much as she needed him, and they both needed the hidden room so no one was looking at them. They pulled it off. Sonny said it was a gamble and it paid off. The thing with gambling was, the more you did it, the odds got worse. She said that’s why it was never happening again, and he said, it won’t. She thanked him for the scotch, they gazed at each other a moment, and she left.
Valentin found Carly in Sonny’s old kitchen and they looked at each other.
🫔 Friday’s Enchilada…
Trina, Kai, and Gio sit in a booth at the Bad Jen Café and look at picture of Fizz🐶on Gio’s tablet. Trina says, oh my gosh, he is so cute. Who’s cuter than Fizz🐶? Kai says, him? and she says, close second. Gio says, forget it. Look at that face. Kai says, he’s pretty cute, and Gio says he appreciates them coming to hang with them. Emma could use a night out. Trina says she’s just happy to do whatever it takes to see them, and Kai says Trina told him about Emma’s grandmother being in a psychiatric hospital in France. It’s got to be rough. Trina asks how Anna is doing, but Gio says he’s not sure. It might take her a while to recover and Emma is pretty worried. Trina says, don’t worry. They’ve got this. Emma joins them and says she got a last-minute summons from the condo HOA. Somebody suspects there’s a dog in the building. They look at Fizz’s🐶picture.
Nathan goes to Nina’s office and says their mother sent him a text to meet here. Does she know what’s going on? Nina tells him that Obrecht didn’t say, but she has her suspicions, and he says he has the feeling she already knows where this is going. Obrecht comes in and says their promptness is appreciated. Her time is limited, so she’ll be brief. She needs to sort out the situation with Nathan and the woman he loves.
At Maxie’s office door, Lulu says, knock, knock. She’s obviously interrupting… unless it’s something Maxie wants interrupted. Maxie says, yes please. She could use a second pair of eyes. Lulu says, the rest of her comes with it. She’s all hers. What is Maxie looking at? Maxie says she’s trying to make sense of Sidwell’s shipping schedule. In her absence, Lucy managed to get them even deeper into bed with him… so to speak. Lulu says she’ll be happy to take a look, but she’s here about something else that happened in Maxie’s absence.
Carly dresses the wounds on Valentin’s face and asks if he knows why her daughter wanted to join the WSB. She was trying to blame Jack, but Josslyn didn’t do it because of Jack. Josslyn did it because of her. This is all her fault. Valentin says, that may in part be true, but right now she needs to know that Josslyn is angry enough to turn them both in.
Jason touches Britt’s face, when they hear the door. Josslyn storms in and tells Britt, get out. She’s got business with Jason.
Carly says Josslyn wouldn’t turn her in, but Valentin says she’s basing that information on the memory of who Josslyn used to be. He doesn’t want to go to prison and will feel doubly bad if she goes with him. She says, Josslyn’s not going to tell Jack. She knows that. He says, forgive him if he doesn’t share her confidence. He just took a pistol whipping and it was obvious that Josslyn didn’t phone in her WSB training. She’s obviously very dedicated to the Bureau and its mission, which at the moment, involves recapturing him. She says, he’s right. Josslyn may be willing to protect her, but she’s not willing to protect him. He’s got to get out.
Britt asks if barging in is accepted now. She misses the good old days when people knocked first. Jason says he needs to talk to Josslyn, and Britt asks if he’s kicking her out. He says he’s not doing that, but needs to handle this, and Britt says, no one can know she was here. Josslyn says then she’d better not be seen leaving, and Britt walks out. Jason asks, what happened? and Josslyn says, he happened. He gave her up to her mother? How could he tell her mother that she’s in the WSB?
Gio says he doesn’t know how anyone could know Fizz🐶is there. Fizz🐶barely barks and he smuggles Fizz🐶in and out in his gym bag. Trina says, what is wrong with people? How could anybody complain about that guy? He’s perfect. Emma asks if she can believe he was caged up in a lab. The poor guy has been through so much already. Gio says, she doesn’t need to worry anymore. He’s not bringing Fizz🐶for any more sleepovers. Emma says they’re not bowing down to some dog hating busybody. As long as Fizz🐶doesn’t mind traveling in a gym bag, he can come anytime. Gio says he doesn’t want her stressing about this. She already has enough on her plate. Kai says, there’s a way around all this.
Nathan says he loves Obrecht, but he needs… She says, and she loves him. That’s why she must say her piece before she leaves. Nina says, what? Is she going somewhere? Obrecht says she is and her departure is imminent. That’s why she texted her loved ones to meet her here. Although it appears that may have been too great a request… She’s been invited to attend a medical conference by the president of a university in Auckland. She’s flying to New Zealand tonight. Nina says, congratulations. That’s wonderful news, isn’t it Jay? Nathan says, yeah. She seems excited. Obrecht says she is indeed. But before she leaves, she’s determined to ensure her son’s happiness.
Maxie tells Lulu that her work can wait. She’s not sure she understands it anyway. Tell her what happened. She can tell by the look on Lulu’s face that it’s bad. Lulu says, bad is a strong word. More like unexpected. Maxie says, that’s not helping. Her brain is running through a million worst case scenarios. Lulu says, stop that, but Maxie says she can’t until Lulu tells her. So spill. Lulu says, while Maxie was away, she and Nathan got close, and Maxie says she’s going to need more than that. Close as in friends? Lulu says, no, and Maxie says, more than friends? Lulu says, yes. She and Nathan are involved. (Is it me, or didn’t she tell Felicia that they weren’t involved yesterday?)
Obrecht says there’s no need for Nathan to be love’s tragic hero. Maxie loves him and neither of them will be truly happy until they’re reunited. Nathan says, she seems to have conveniently forgotten that he and Maxie arrived at the decision together, and she says, Maxie made the wrong decision, and he gave her up. Nathan says, stop. Maxie has moved on and so has he. She says, nonsense. He’s moved on how?
Maxie says she’s going to need Lulu’s help to understand. What exactly happened between her and Nathan? Lulu says, when Nathan showed back up in September, Maxie was in Boston, and Maxie says she understands that. Lulu says she and Brook were working together to make sure things were okay with the kids, and Nathan was trying to get to know his son for the first time. Maxie says, and Lulu helped Nathan get to know James, and Lulu says, of course (🍷). She loves James. She loves all of Maxie’s kids. They’re little pieces of her. Maxie says, please, get to the point, and Lulu says she wanted to make sure James felt safe and secure, so she and Nathan spent more time together. They’d always been friends. In the midst of challenges – Maxie’s illness, her return, Rocco’s trouble with the law, and Valentin’s return and escape, which posed a risk to Charotte – they were thrown together more and more. They both discovered there was something there, a connection. Maxie says, okay. She sees. So while she was fighting to come back to her life with her children, Lulu decided to connect with Nathan.
Valentin tells Carly that Josslyn is right. If she gets caught keeping him hidden, it’s treason, but she knew that already. She says she knew she was violating national security, but when Josslyn doesn’t know is that she secured a fake identity so she could get into Steinmauer and pose as his lawyer. He says, if it involves him, the penalty will be more severe, and she says, that’s why he has to go. Josslyn won’t destroy her life. He says, Josslyn seems pretty angry. It doesn’t seem like an assignment anymore. Emotions are involved, and an emotional WSB agent is dangerous. She could lash out without thinking of the consequences. Carly says, she won’t. She knows Josslyn. He asks if she’s so sure about that. Josslyn spent the last year lying to her face.
Josslyn asks when Jason told Carly, and he says it was his first stop when he got back from Croatia. She says, about a month after he was back, she returned from Australia and told her mom that Vaughn was in the WSB. He promised not to say anything. He says, it got to the point where he couldn’t lie anymore. Josslyn is Carly’s daughter and Carly loves her. She has a right to know. She says, so his word means nothing now? and he says, not when she’s in danger. Not when Jack Brennan continues to put her in danger and lie to her mom’s face. He couldn’t let her be manipulated by him. She says he had to know how her mom would react. It wasn’t possible for her not to do anything and pretend it wasn’t happening. He says, that’s why he told Carly, to protect her. Carly couldn’t tell Brennan or her because her cover kept her safe and if it got blown, she’d be killed. Josslyn says she thought that would be enough, but he says her mom would do anything to keep her save. She says he doesn’t need to tell her that. Her mom is trying to save her now by teaming up with Valentin Cassadine.
Britt turned on the light in her office to find Jack sitting at her desk. He says, you’ve been avoiding me.
Kai says, every condo has HOA rules, but city ordinances take precedence and he thinks there’s a loophole Gio can use. He looks on his tablet and says, here it is – exception: emotional support animals. Emma tells Gio, like she says, it’s good to know someone in politics, and Trina says, and someone plain brilliant. Gio says, there’s one problem. Fizz🐶isn’t an emotional support dog. Kai says, not yet. There’s a form he can fill out. Gio says, if he fills it out, he gets to take Fizz🐶wherever he wants? and Kai says, basically. Gio brings up the form and says, okay. Fizz🐶needs a birthday. Emma says, that information wasn’t lying around in Dalton’s lab, and Trina says, they’ll make one up. Today is a good day. Happy birthday, Fizz🐶!
Obrecht says, Lulu Spencer? and Nathan says, calm down. Obrecht says, Nein. It makes no sense. Maxie is the love of his life and Lulu is her best friend. Nina says, please. Maxie was in a coma, and no one knew if or when she’d wake up. It was natural for Lulu and Nathan to grow close after the time they spent together, especially looking after James. Obrecht says, Nina knew about this? She knew her brother was cavorting with his wife’s best friend while his wife was in a coma and she encouraged it? Doesn’t Nina have a big enough mess with her own child without having to make one for hers?
Lulu says they never planned any of this, and Maxie asks if they were sneaking around behind her back, but Lulu says, of course (🍷) not. The minute Maxie came back, they ended things. Maxie says, exactly how much was there to end? Did they sleep together? Lulu says, no. Nothing ever got that far. As soon as Maxie woke up, they immediately took a step back. She knew Nathan’s first commitment was to Maxie and she wanted Maxie to have her family back. She wanted Maxie to have her husband back, if that’s what she wanted. Maxie said she made her choice and chose Spinelli. Is that what Lulu wanted to hear?
The waitress comes by and says they heard it was someone’s birthday. She puts a cupcake with a candle in it in front of Kai and they sing Happy Birthday. Gio and Emma drop out and Trina sings alone. Kai blows out the candle and everyone in the restaurant applauds.
Josslyn says, let her get this straight. Jason couldn’t keep his promise to her because he felt too guilty to keep the secret from her mom. Meanwhile, her mom has been hiding Valentin in the attic and keeping a secret from him. Huh. Jason asks if she’s sure about this, and she says, yes. She was at her mom’s house by herself and heard a weird thump upstairs. She went to check it out and found Valentin hiding in her attic. She was in the process of tying him up when her mom walked in. She knew he was there, so whatever’s going on, they’re in on it together. Valentin almost killed her mom. Now he shows up in Port Charles and convinces her mom that he knows her way out of the WSB. It’s the only reason her mom would be involved with him.
Carly says, if Valentin had asked a year ago, she would have said she knew her daughter better than anyone. They were that close. She treasured that. She was proud of the relationship that she couldn’t have with her own mother. Valentin says, what about the WSB agent in Sonny’s old her kitchen? and she says she never met her before. She was someone she couldn’t reach. He says, Jack’s handiwork, and she says, maybe a little more than Jack, deeper than Jack, bigger than Jack. She said this was about Sonny. Jack opened the door to the WSB, but Josslyn walked through. She said she wanted to bring Sonny and people like him to justice. He says, that explains why she joined, and Carly says she knew Josslyn had an issue with Sonny’s life and how dangerous the people around him were. Why wouldn’t she want power over that? But she derailed her whole life for it. She brought Sonny into Josslyn’s life. Valentin says she couldn’t have known her relationship with Sonny would lead Josslyn to make the choices she did, and she says, Josslyn joined the WSB because of her connection to Sonny. That choice is on her and whatever Josslyn does next.
Britt says, Jack can’t break into her office. They shouldn’t be seen together. Jack says, trust him. He didn’t want to take all the precautions it took to make this visit happen, but she left him no choice. She says she makes it a point to never trust someone who starts a sentence with trust me, and he says, they had an agreement. She was to give him regular updates on Faison’s final project, and he hasn’t heard a word since then. She says, there’s nothing to report, but he says he doesn’t believe it. She might recall he can bring up charges any time he likes for the myriad of crimes she committed at the Five Poppies. Britt says she was crunching numbers at the Five Poppies. He doesn’t have anything no her. He never did. He asks if she thinks he’s bluffing, and she says she doesn’t care. She’s not losing sleep over his baseless threats anymore. Go ahead and charge her. Please. It’s the least of her worries. He says she’s making a mistake, and she says it wouldn’t be the first. He’s in way over his head. He says, oh? What does she mean by that? She says, he wants updates? Okay. Fine. She’ll give him one. He works for Cullum and Cullum is Sidwell’s partner. He’s a freaking double agent and he’s been playing the entire Bureau for a fool. Cullum is the enemy.
A round of drinks is on the table, and Gio says, the whole time they could have been drinking for free. Emma says, all they needed was for Trina to deliver the vocals, and Kai says, from now on pop-up concerts all over town, but Trina says, no. She’s not singing for comp drinks. It was a special for one night only. Gio says he hears her, but they don’t need pop-ups. Actually, he knows the perfect place for her to sing.
Nina says her child’s life is not a mess. She’s a congresswoman. Obrecht says, Nina can pave over cracks, but she won’t walk on them, and Nathan says, all Nina did was give him support. What developed took him and Lulu by surprise. Obrecht asks if he thinks he has real feelings for Lulu, and Nina says, that’s intrusive. Whatever Nathan’s feelings are, are his business and he certainly doesn’t have to explain himself to her. Obrecht says she’s his mother. He should be grateful she’s looking out for his happiness. He says it’s his life to figure out. The same goes for Maxie. She chose Spinelli and he’s happy for that. Obrecht says, of course (🍷) he’d say that, and he says, as far as him and Lulu, he doesn’t know what’s going to happen, but he knows he wants them to figure it out, which means he needs her to back off.
Lulu says she knows Maxie woke up to an impossible situation. The husband she loved and believed was dead was alive. Spinelli, who she loved and built a life with, was there waiting for her. Maxie says she’s well aware, and Lulu says, then Maxie should know she never would have pushed her or interfered with her choice in any way. Maxie says, did she really have one? and Lulu asks what she means. Maxie says she knew something was off with Nathan when she first saw him again. She figured it was time, distance, maybe some of it was Lulu. Now she’s realizing that it was mostly just her. Lulu says, when Maxie woke up nothing mattered but her. She wanted Maxie to have the life she wanted to have, whether it was rebuilding it with Nathan or moving forward with Spinelli. She honestly thought Maxie would pick Nathan. Maxie says, but she didn’t. She picked Spinelli. Lulu asks if she regrets her decision.
Carly tells Valentin that she’s been divorced from Sonny for years. Sonny is Donna’s father and Josslyn loves Donna. She had no idea Josslyn still had so much resentment and anger toward him. She has her whole life ahead of her and she wants to be a WSB agent. Valentin says, the WSB can be particularly alluring to a younger person. That’s where they can learn skills to settle a score. She says, when she looked into Josslyn’s eyes, it wasn’t her daughter. It was her. It was like looking at a younger version of herself in a mirror and Josslyn has the same focus she had when she came to destroy her mother’s life. She ruined so many lives and almost ruined her own. He says, now she’s worried Josslyn will ruin hers, and she cries.
Jason says, Josslyn hasn’t told Jack that her mother is helping Valentin? and she says, no, and she doesn’t plan to. They had it out and she came straight to him. He says, no one can know, and she says she knows that. Valentin is a level five threat. If she implicates him when Carly helped, Carly will be charged with treason. She doesn’t even know how many security violations there are. She will go to prison. He says, that can’t happen, and she says she knows. Her mother needs an intervention. Every second she’s with Valentin puts her in greater danger. She told Carly to get rid of him, but she knows Josslyn can’t expose him because Josslyn will expose her. But she’ll listen to him. Convince her to get rid of Valentin now, before it all comes crashing down around her.
Jack says, Britt is desperate to get him off her back, and she asks if he thinks she just handpicked Cullum’s name out of a WSB hat. He knows she’s telling the truth. He can feel it. If he needs more proof, do some digging. He was in and out of the Five Poppies every two months. Why does Jack think all of his investigations into Cullum’s financial profile were so unsuccessful? Why would Cullum send in his own handpicked task force? Why all the leaks? Because his guy is dirty. Cullum is sabotaging him. Cullum isn’t trying to take Sidwell down. He’s running interference for him. They’re partners. Jack asks if he knows Josslyn is an agent, and Britt says, how the hell would she know? Probably not, because she’s not dead or thrown in a hole somewhere. He says, obviously he needs to confirm a few things, but she’s not off the hook. He still wants updates. He leaves.
Gio says, when Charlie’s reopens, Kristina wants a strong relaunch and was thinking of doing an open mic night. Trina should sign up. Everyone loves her. Trina says she’s not trying to be a singer, but Gio says she doesn’t have to try. She already is. He remembers her grandfather told him how much she loved to sing. Trina says she doesn’t know what she’d sing, and Emma says, whatever she wants. Her voice is amazing. Kai says, they’re right. She was incredible at the Nurses Ball. She totally lit up the stage. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. She says he’s being nice, but he says, that doesn’t mean it’s not true. Gio says she’s got a gift. The coolest thing about music is being able to share it with other people. Kai says she should do it. He’d love to hear her sing.
Josslyn asks Jason to convince her mother to get rid of Valentin, but he says, that may not be an option. He’s the kind of threat that may have to be eliminated. She says, no. Jason doesn’t have to kill him to solve this. Just be what he’s always been. Be her mom’s best friend and help her see that she’ll be safe – they’ll all be safe – if Valentin leaves. Valentin can fend for himself. Jason says, he definitely can, but it won’t work. When he first told her mom that she was with the WSB, the first thing she wanted to do was get her out. He convinced her not to for Josslyn’s safety. He can’t help her. If her mom thinks Valentin is the answer to getting her out of the WSB, she’s never letting him go.
Carly tells Valentin that she looks at him, Jack, and Anna and sees what the WSB has cost them. It wrecked their lives in different ways. She knows there’s good in him and Anna, and maybe some good in Jack, but it’s warped them all. He can’t deny it. He wouldn’t want it for his daughter, would he? He says, no. No one who gets out of the WSB skates, but he doesn’t think it’s ruining Josslyn’s life the way she thinks it is. She asks how he knows, and he says, because he knows Josslyn’s mother. If she’s got anything like what he sees in Carly, even the WSB can’t destroy her.
Britt runs into Nina’s office and says sorry she didn’t get here sooner… or maybe not. What did she miss? Obrecht says, just her brother informing them of his romantic feelings for Lulu and not his wife, and Britt says, Lulu? Obrecht says she was startled, but after having time to process, she understands this is Nathan’s decision. Her brother and Maxie mutually agreed to part ways, and he and Lulu will figure out their entanglement for themselves. Britt says, at least she got here in time to hear her say it, and Obrecht says she means it. As of today, she’s no longer meddling.
Lulu asks if Maxie still wants to be with Nathan, and Maxie says she wishes it was that simple. She loves Nathan. She never stopped loving him. Lulu says she understands. She saw them before. But now she loves Spinelli. Maxie says she does, more than anything. Did Lulu come here to get permission to pursue Nathan? Lulu says, no. She came to be honest with her best friend and doesn’t want to be anything but truthful. She would respect any choice Maxie made, but she chose Spinelli. Nathan is a good man and has the right to move on with his life. Maxie says she completely agrees. Nathan has every right to move forward with his life. Just not with her.
Emma says she bets it would help Kristina too, and Trina says, nice guilt trip. Emma thanks her and says, Trina knows she wants to do it. Gio says, give the people what they want, and Kai asks what she has to lose. Trina says, her dignity, but Kai says, not from singing. Trina says, okay. When Charlie’s reopens, the first open mic night, they’re all going. Kai says, and she’s going to sing, and Gio announces that when Charlie’s reopens, the first open mic night, Trina is singing. He wants everybody there. Everyone applauds and Trina says, they buy the drinks.
Obrecht says she wants Nathan to be happy, and he says he knows she does – for now. She says she must be on her way. She’ll see them soon. Britt says, she’s traveling? You’re traveling? She could have included that in the text. Britt follows her out, and Nina says, text when she lands, then closes the door. She says, all things considered, she thinks it went pretty well. Obrecht lost it a little bit when she found out about him and Lulu, but she got it together. Nathan says he doesn’t know that she’s there yet, but at least she’ll meddle from a distance. It’s hard to yell from the other side of the world. Nina says, the medical conference popped up at just the right time, and he says, yeah. Funny how it kind of popped up. She says, yeah, so funny, like kismet, and he says, or somebody influential pulling the strings. She says, if someone pulled the strings, that person really, really loves him. He says he loves them too, and they hug. He thanks her.
In the reception area, Britt says, if Obrecht is going to attend a medical conference, she might want to tell a person, and Obrecht says she thought it might be a pleasant surprise for her. Britt says, it is a surprise. She’s glad she got here in time to say goodbye. Obrecht thanks her for coming and says she was hungry to see Britt’s face before she left. Britt says she has to hand it to Obrecht, the way she handled Nathan’s news. She was expecting a seismic reaction, but now the earth is still spinning on its axis. Obrecht says she was certainly inclined to protest, and Britt says, you are who are, but Obrecht says she realized she had no need. Britt says, really? Why? Obrecht says, because there’s no way a relationship between Nathan and Lulu will come to fruition. Nathan will gallantly bow out before he comes between Lulu and Maxie. He’s not selfish enough to take whatever he wants at all costs and leave others to deal with the consequences. They get into the elevator and Obrecht takes Britt’s arm.
Maxie says she appreciates Lulu’s honesty, so she’s going to be honest with her. If Lulu came here to get her blessing to be with Nathan, she doesn’t have it. Sorry. She can’t rationalize this choice. She did make the choice to be with Spinelli because she loves him, but that mean she can turn her heart off or that she wants to watch her best friend be in a relationship with someone she truly loved. Lulu says she doesn’t want to hurt Maxie ever, but she’s trying to follow her heart, like Maxie did. Maxie’s heart led her to Spinelli, and she loves Maxie, but please, know this is something they can get past. Maxie asks if she’s sure about that, and Lulu says she has to hope so. She knows Maxie might not believe that now, but she hopes Maxie will. Lulu leaves, and Maxie looks at a family photo with Spinelli in it. Outside, Lulu breathes deeply.
On the phone, Jack tells Belinda that he’s sorry to call first thing in the morning. What time is it there in Belgium? She says, early enough, but she just poured a cup of tea. Why doesn’t he tell her to what she owes this pleasure. He says he needs a favor, and she says, doesn’t he always? He says, this one stays between them, and she says, that would be breaking the rules, but he says, no, it’s not. It’s more like bending them. She says, tell her what he needs, and he says he needs Director Ross Cullum’s full itinerary and expense reports for the last three years.
Josslyn tells Jason that her mom is flying blind. She can’t trust Brennan and can’t trust Valentin. She doesn’t know what they know about Cullum. Jason asked if she told Carly anything about Cullum, and she says, no. He says, okay. Good. Between dating Brennan and hiding Valentin, she’s exactly who Cullum would target. Josslyn says, that’s why she distracted her by making sure Carly knew who she was actually targeting – Sonny and all of the other Sonnys in the world who are destroying lives. He asks if that was real or a smokescreen, and she says, in those times she has to remember why she chose to do this, Sonny is something that comes to mind. He says, that’s what Brennan offered her, a way to take down Sonny, but she says, Brennan didn’t need to offer her anything. She had a front row seat to the damage Sonny caused. Seeing him get away with this for so long and get away with so much, and knowing others are out there doing the same thing. She’s sorry, but she thought that it was just going to go on forever, and somebody had to put themselves in the position to stop that from happening. He says, that person doesn’t have to be her. Brennan manipulated her. She says, Sonny manipulated him. Jason was her age when he made Jason a job offer, when he invited Jason into his business and changed everything for him. She’s sure he doesn’t want to admit everything Sonny has done to him. Jason says he made his choice, and she says, so did she. He says, she made a mistake. There are more urgent, more important things to focus on right now. She says her mom needs him to make sure she cuts Valentin loose, and she leaves.
Carly says, Valentin has to leave, and he says, no. Josslyn wants him gone. She says he’s using her and he’s dangerous. She says, isn’t he? and he says, dangerous? Yeah. Using her? He was, but that changed. They’re partners in crime. Jack, Sidwell, and Cullum, they’re the threats. If he disappears, he leaves her to take care of them by herself and he’d not going to do that. He’s not leaving her. She kisses him and they get busy.
On Monday, Sidwell tells Willow that she wouldn’t be where she is today if it wasn’t for him; Lulu suggests she and Nathan just face the music; Kristina says she’s in desperate need of Jacinda’s help; and Cullum says things just got a lot more dangerous for Josslyn.

Below Deck Down Under
It wasn’t the most stellar charter, with meals continuing to be late and the deckhands almost losing a guest. Chef Ben decided to blame everything on the galley, but was pleased with his new sous chef. Alesia had been ultra-sensitive, but Ellie was smashing projects, cleaning up after them, and asking him for the next one. The new comment card system only yielded three stars, but the tip was more of a reflection of service at $20K, or $1500 each.
Summer House
The group had a Renaissance Fair party with knights and pseudo jousting. Ciara was bummed because she felt everyone wanted to experience her – i.e. make out – and she didn’t want surface level sh*t. She believed Jesse saw her as a good time girl, and it wasn’t her vibe. She confronted Jesse about making her feel like a sexual conquest. The friendship lines had been blurred, but if he was really interested, he’d be looking to take her out on a date, not just make out. Jesse apologized, and in Ciara’s interview, she said it just reaffirmed that guys just wanted a good time and nothing serious with her. I’d give her the same advice I continually give the Southern Charm crowd – date outside the friend group.
Vanderpump Rules
It was the Reunion Part 1, so there was a lot of screaming, yelling, and pointing fingers. It ended with Audrey cursing out Angelica. Most vapid group of people ever.
Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Boz took the women on a trip to Florence, Italy, where she had a friend with a villa encompassing hundreds of acres. Rachel felt like they’d be dressing in kaftans and some sequins. Dorit felt she no longer knew Kyle, who had tattoos all over the place. After last week, everything except the villa was a let down.
Southern Charm
Charley wised up, saying the way Craig acted was unforgiveable and he needed to apologize to Salley. They were no longer a thing romantically. While Madison was nesting with her newborn and Brett, the others went on a healing/cleansing retreat involving a sweat lodge. As usual, things were kumbaya afterward, but that will last until Craig’s next outburst. Rather than apologizing, Craig said he was perfectly imperfect and pretended nothing had happened. Dude is one mean drunk.
Southern Hospitality
I used to call this Vanderpump Rules 2.0, but now that the actual VPR is its own 2.0, I don’t know what to call it. Boring comes to mind. It’s been so long, a lot of the premier was flashbacks, but it didn’t matter. The only thing I remembered was TJ’s launch of Sir Weiner’s. Apparently, it’s been a huge success. One of the offerings was the Cheater Weiner, topped with crumbled Flaming Hot Cheetos. I’m not a Cheeto person, but I have to admit, it sounds like it works. However, several cast members took the cheater part personally and were offended.
Ladies Of London
Now we’re finally talking. I was skeptical because Caroline Stanbury is no longer living in London, but the first episode sucked me in immediately and – drum roll – even my husband paid attention. It was fabulous and exactly what the Housewives should have been – biting wit and humor, being catty without caterwauling, lavish estates, fabulous clothes, and marvelous parties. It’s like a Noel Coward play and this is what I want to see. I’ve even already picked a favorite cast member, Martha, who looks like a movie star from the 1940s and will spread a rumor, then tell on herself. She also keeps a magpie as a pet, and it flies around her house, which is sometimes disconcerting to guests. Even better, cast member Dara already decided it was too much and left the show at the end of the second episode. They aired two to start and I can’t wait for the next one.

I didn’t know they were still there. I stopped watching early on, then at some point started watching again. But then I remembered why I stopped watching in the first place and didn’t make that mistake a second time.
👀 Last Weekend’s Watch…
Predator: Badlands. Hulu. Yautja hunter Dex is having one bad day. His father doesn’t like him, and when his brother refuses to kill him, he dies in Dex’s place. Before his death, Dex’s brother sends him to the death planet where he’s tasked to find and kill the Kalisk. While there, he meets up with synth Tessa whose on a quest to find the legs she’s been separated from. If a Predator movie could be called cute, this one is it. Action packed, full of not-bad jokes, and the eternal question of, who is the real enemy? It looks open for a sequel, and I’m hoping Dex and Tessa make baby Yautjas in the next one.

K-Pop Demon Hunters. Netflix. Yeah, it took me a while to get to this one, but I wanted to give it my full attention. While not necessarily an animation fan, I do like some anime – Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon – and I love K-pop and horror, so it was my kind of combination. Rumi, Mira and Zoey are Huntrix, a superstar girl group who moonlight as demon hunters. When demons in the form of a boy band come for their fans, the group must fight them. Rumi is also part demon, throwing a wrench in the works, as well as an almost romance. The visuals were beautiful, the music was incredible, and I added the soundtrack to my playlists halfway through. While the setting was new, the story wasn’t incredibly original, yet it worked. Definitely a good time.
What You Wish For. Hulu. Chef Ryan is on the run from a gambling debt and goes to South America to visit his buddy Chef Jack. Jack is a personal chef, working for the richest of the rich and living the high life in a magnificent house. He’s in need of a sous chef, so Ryan steps up, but when circumstances beyond Ryan’s control push him to the forefront, he gets a taste of being careful what you wish for. Brutal at times, with brilliant performances, I didn’t hate it, but I can’t say it’s one of my favorites.
