General Hospital

Curtis tells Finn, word on the street is, he’s getting married. He congratulates Finn, and they bro hug. Finn invites Curtis in, and Curtis says, look at him, all cool and calm. How’s he feeling? Finn says he doesn’t know about cool and calm, but he’s okay; he’s good. Violet is so excited, she’s practically levitating. Curtis says he can imagine. He’s happy for Finn, and Finn says he’s glad Curtis is there. Curtis played a big part in this. He helped Finn get his life back on the right track. Curtis says, it was all Finn. Finn got sober and stayed sober, and now he gets to live the life he deserves. Finn says, still, he’ll never forget what Curtis did. There’s a knock at the door, and it’s Chase, who says, this is it, the big day. Is Finn ready to spend the rest of his life with Anna? Finn says, sure. Why not?

Jordan walks into Anna’s house, and says, her official ride has arrived, and her dress has been delivered to the MetroCourt. She sees Anna sitting on the couch, staring into space, and says she’s ready, and Anna is… Anna says, oh, hi. She’s just finishing her tea. Jordan says, forgive her for saying it, but Anna doesn’t seem very excited. Is everything okay? Anna says, yeah, and asks if Jordan will be okay with seeing Curtis. Jordan tells her not to worry. She and Curtis are adults. They can handle being at the same social events. The doorbell rings, and Jordan answers it. Anna flashes back to Peter burning the evidence, and Jordan says Valentin is there. Valentin walks in looking grimmer than we’ve ever seen him look.

Peter sees Britt at the MetroCourt, and asks where his bride is, but she blocks the door. She says he’s not getting anywhere near Maxie.

Inside on the phone, Maxie tells Felicia that she got the presents. Open them before the ceremony? She figured. She tells Felicia, it’s okay. They’re Aunt Liddy’s only relatives, and she needs Felicia. She has Nina there to help her get ready. She has to go, and tells Felicia that she loves her too. Nina asks if she’s okay, and Maxie says although she’d love to have her mother there, her aunt Liddy, who is really her great-grandmother Mariah’s cousin, took a fall and needs Felicia, which she fully supports. Nina says Felicia is being generous, since she’s sure Felicia would want to be there on her daughter’s big wedding day. She takes Maxie’s hands, and asks where they start. Maxie asks if Nina is sure she’s up for this.

Jason sees Sam, and says she looks great. She thanks him, and says she’s on flower duty. She told Maxie that she’d make sure the ballroom looked perfect. She asks how he is; how’s Carly after Nina’s meltdown? He says, she’s okay. The Feds are satisfied that Nelle’s death was an accident. Sam says Carly is really lucky to have a friend like him.

Laura brings Lesley some coffee in the hospital boardroom, and says it went so much better than she expected. Lesley says Laura can be very persuasive. She doesn’t know where Laura gets it from. Laura says, Cyrus’s day is about to get a whole lot worse, and they laugh.

Cyrus comes stomping out of the elevator, looking at his tablet. He throws it down in front of Jackie, who’s standing at the reception desk, and says, what the hell is this?

Cameron is reading The Invader, where the headline says, Criminal Ties, next to Cyrus’s picture. Franco comes downstairs and sits on the couch, and Cameron asks if he wants breakfast. Franco says that’s nice of Cameron, but he doesn’t think he can manage it right now. Cameron says he picked up some extra shifts at Kelly’s since it’s winter break, and starts to put on his coat. Franco sits up straight and says, before Cameron does that, can they please have a conversation about his decision to not go to college? Cameron says, what about it? and Franco says Cameron has to go to college. It’s a bridge to his future. He has to go and practice being amazing, so he can be amazing in the world. Cameron says, the world will still be there after Franco… after Franco doesn’t need his help anymore. Franco says he won’t allow Cameron to postpone his life, and Cameron says, being there is the right thing. Elizabeth comes downstairs, as Franco says he wonders how Cameron can even say that after he attacked him. Cameron looks at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth asks, what happened? Franco was asleep when she got home last night, but Cameron didn’t say anything about an attack. Cameron says, Franco is just being dramatic. Franco was sleeping, Cameron woke him up, and it startled him. Franco says he almost hurt Cameron, and Cameron says, but he didn’t; he’s fine. Elizabeth says, just tell her what happened, and Cameron says, Franco was having a nightmare, and when he woke Franco up, Franco grabbed him. Franco says he didn’t just grab Cameron. He pinned him down on the couch. Cameron says, and Franco stopped the moment he realized it was him. Franco starts to argue, and Elizabeth says, okay. Was Franco angry when he grabbed Cameron? Franco says, the point is, he attacked Cameron, and Cameron asks if they can stop saying attacked. Elizabeth asks if Franco is talking about moving out, and Cameron says, no. He was just saying that he’s not going to college. Elizabeth looks startled.

Chase asks how Finn is, and Finn wonders why everyone is asking him that. Does it look like he’s trying to find the exit door? Anna is the best thing that ever happened to him, except for Violet. Chase says, and him, and Finn says, yeah. There’s a knock at the door, and Chase says, by the way, he invited dad. Finn says, what? and Gregory comes in.

Laura tells Lesley, she still can’t get over the fact that Lesley and Monica worked together on this. Lesley says, she and Monica will always have their differences, but General Hospital comes first. She and Laura join hands.

Jackie tells Cyrus, it’s called journalism. Part of the free press aspect of our society. He says, that’s libel, and if she talked to his mother, she’s an accessory to kidnapping. She says, Florence gave her no indication that she was being held against her will, and he says, tell him where his mother is now.

Spinelli gets off the elevator at the MetroCourt, and walks over to Jason and Sam. He says, greetings on this most curse-ed day, and Sam asks if he’s going to be able to handle the wedding. He says he promised Maxinista that he’d come… to witness what he knows will be the biggest mistake of her life.

Maxie tells Nina, when she, Nina, and Britt were all at the cemetery, they said they were family, right? Nina says they did, and Maxie says, family means telling each other the truth. Nina just found out the daughter she was searching for was Nelle. It’s a pretty traumatic thing to process. Is Nina sure she’s in the wedding mood?

Peter asks Britt what he did now, and she says, nothing is wrong. Tradition says she can’t let him see the bride before the wedding. He says, oh, that, and she says, of course (🍷). What else? She suggests they go get a drink in the lobby, and he says, it’s 10 o’clock in the morning. She says, so? They’ll dress it up with coffee.

Anna tells Jordan, she just wants to make sure everything is sorted out, and has to talk to Valentin. Jordan tells her, don’t be too long, and leaves. Valentin asks Anna how she is, and she says, devastated. She’s furious, at herself mostly, for not seeing what was right in front of her face. She finally gets it. Peter is not the man she thought he was. He’s beyond their help. Robert tried to warn her; Jason tried to warn her. She put Maxie in harm’s way, and now it’s up to them to make sure Peter never hurts anyone again.

Chase says Finn left is tux in the bag; he has to let it breathe. Finn says, it’s a suit, an inanimate object, and asks Gregory if he has enough coffee. Gregory says, it’s fine. He’s just preoccupied about Jackie. He married two incredible women, and has two fine sons to show for it. They make all the pain and heartache of love worth it. Finn gets a text on his phone saying, your DNA test results are ready.

Jackie tells Cyrus that she doesn’t know his mother’s current location. She’s sure Florence was moved following their conversation. He asks who set up the interview; Jason Morgan? She says a reporter never reveals their source, and Florence specifically said she didn’t want to see him. He says, she’s an old woman in poor health, and easily confused, but Jackie says her mind seemed clear as a bell when they spoke. A woman approaches Cyrus and says, the Board meeting is about to begin. She hands him some papers, and he snatches them from her. He tells Jackie, they’re not done.

Curtis approaches Jordan, and says, hi. She tells him that he looks great; she was just texting Anna. He says, she’s not here? and Jordan says she’s sure Anna is on her way. How has he been? Sam comes in, and apologizes for interrupting. She tells Curtis that her lawyers have been waiting on the paperwork for the sale, and asks if his have drawn them up yet. Jordan says, sale? and Sam tells Curtis that they can talk later. Curtis says he’s sure there was a mix-up. He’ll have his lawyer get it to her as soon as possible. Sam leaves, and Jordan wonders what’s going on… or is she not allowed to ask anymore?

Cyrus walks into the boardroom, and sees Laura and Lesley. He asks where the Board is; they have a vote scheduled. Lesley says, had, and Laura says, it’s all over.

Spinelli tells Jason that he’s glad Georgie has tonsilitis and isn’t there to participate in this farce of a ceremony. Sam sees Peter and Britt come in, and says hi loudly. Spinelli asks what one of the grooms is doing wandering around the lobby, and Peter says he’s glad he ran into Spinelli. He’d like to have a word about the wedding. Spinelli says, sure, and follows Peter to somewhere more private.

Nina tells Maxie that she admits it crossed her mind that she’ll never help her own daughter get ready for her wedding. That’s what makes helping Maxie get ready more precious. She asks what present Maxie wants to open first, but Maxie says she can’t chose, and tells Nina to pick one. Nina hands Maxie a jewelry box, and Maxie opens it, finding a garter laced with a blue ribbon. Maxie says, of course (🍷), and Nina says she’s proud of Felicia. She took care of the blue and the new. She gives Maxie another jewelry box, and there are beautiful earrings inside. Maxie says they belonged to her sister Georgie, and were her great-grandmother Mariah’s before that. Nina says, there’s the old and the borrowed, and truly loved. You can’t beat that. Maxie says, you can’t.

Cameron suggests he postpone college, and get a job. Franco says he’s leaving out the part about the college being in California, and that he’s been admitted. Cameron tells Elizabeth, he got accepted to Stanford, and asks Franco if he’s happy now. Elizabeth says it wasn’t even on Cameron’s list, and Cameron says, it was a reach. Franco says, apparently not. Before they have this conversation about possible postponement, he feels a gap year is to find out what your passion is, and figure things out, not for taking extra shifts at Kelly’s to unfairly help with your parent’s financial responsibilities. Elizabeth suggests they put a pin in this important conversation for now. They need to talk about what happened last night. Franco says, they’ll totally put a pin in it, and they’ll talk about everything, but not now. There’s something else he has to say. He can’t stay there anymore.

Anna tells Valentin, Peter doubled down on the lie about Obrecht framing him. When she confronted him with the incriminating documents, he took them right out of her hand and threw them in the fire. Valentin says, burning the evidence, and she says, but it was the way he justified it; his sense of entitlement and his blatant disregard for the truth. She saw him clearly for the first time. Valentin says she wanted to believe in his redemption – they both did – but he was raised by Faison. She says, Faison is dead, and Peter is a man now, responsible for his own choices. People can change, but it appears Peter doesn’t want to. He killed Drew, and almost killed Andre and Franco. And not out of malice or vengeance but to cover his tracks, which means he’ll continue to do that. Valentin says, it’s up to them, and she says, it is. Any hope she had of Peter’s redemption went up in flames, along with the evidence.

Valentin asks why Anna didn’t call Peter out on his lies, and she says she wanted to give him one last chance. One last test to see if he’d tell the truth, but he didn’t. She’s done. She can’t delude herself any more. Peter has to face justice for what he’s done. Valentin says, not quite yet.

Finn looks at his phone, and Chase asks what’s so fascinating. Something from Anna? Finn says, it’s an emergency at the hospital. He has to leave. Gregory says, don’t be ridiculous. He’s the groom. Finn says he’ll be right back. He can get ready in five. Chase tells Gregory to save his breath. If his patients need Finn, he’s there. He’s a dedicated doctor. Gregory tells Finn, go on then. They’ll be there waiting. He puts his arm around Chase, and says, right, son? Chase says, right, and Finn leaves.

Britt tells Jason, the Board was supposed to vote today, but she hasn’t heard anything; she’s been there. Sam asks if there’s something going on at GH, and Jason says, yeah. He’s just been keeping tabs on Cyrus. Britt asks if Sam has spoken to Dante. How’s he doing? Sam says, he’s doing fine, and Britt says, alrighty. Good talk. She leaves, and Jason tells Sam to take him through exactly what made her mom go after Franco. Sam says, her mom was drinking, and read the article in The Invader. She thinks it pushed Alexis over the edge, and made her act out. He asks how Franco was acting, and she says, he was agitated. At one point, he was talking to himself again, the same way he did when he showed up at the penthouse. She was scared. He says, okay, and thanks her. She says, of course (🍷), and he leaves.

Franco tells Elizabeth, he can’t stay there anymore. They talked about it; him not being a danger to her and the boys. Cameron says, Franco… and Elizabeth says if Franco feels he might be a danger to someone, then they can check him into Shadybrook. Cameron says, what? and she says, just until they figure out what’s happening. Cameron says, Franco’s not dangerous; he had a nightmare. She says, this is just for Franco’s peace of mind, and Cameron says, what about their peace of mind? They need him there. Jake and Aiden are still young. They need Franco. Franco says he’ll still see them, and Cameron says, just not at home. Cameron runs upstairs, and Elizabeth says it’s just because Cameron loves Franco; they all do. Franco says, and he loves them, but wants her to understand this is what he has to do. They agreed if he ever acted dangerously… Elizabeth thinks he was just startled. Cameron woke him up in the middle of a nightmare. Franco says, a nightmare about Jason.

Spinelli says he doubts Peter invited him up for a toast, so he’ll just say it… Peter says, stop talking. He’s tired of the games. He doesn’t want Spinelli at the wedding. Spinelli laughs, saying he doesn’t want to be there, but he promised Maxie, and they have a child together. Peter says he’s come to grips with Spinelli and Maxie co-parenting, but he’s not going to have Spinelli lurking at the wedding, stirring up trouble. Go. Away. Now.

Nina says she’s always admired Maxie, and Maxie says she’s always had a flair for accessorizing. Nina says, she has, but she admires Maxie for having the courage to find love after losing Nathan. A blow like that isn’t easy to recover from. Maxie says, James drew her a picture today. It said, happy wedding day, mommy and daddy. Nina asks, what is it? and Maxie says, it’s just that drawing… James always referred to Peter as Peter, and James has pictures of Nathan. They talk about him all the time. So for James to call Peter daddy, it got to her. She doesn’t know why. Nina says she gets it, but if Maxie is feeling guilty or disloyal, don’t. Doesn’t she think Nathan would want James to have a father? Maxie says she does, but she doesn’t know if Nathan would want him to be Peter. She went to Nathan’s grave, and asked for his blessing, but she didn’t get it. Nina asks if she’s sure, and Maxie says, usually when she visits Nathan, she can sense him; she feels warmth in her chest. This time, all she felt was cold.

Cyrus asks Laura, what’s going on? and she says, as he knows, her mother is a board member emeritus. When the Board read Jackie’s article, they agreed to meet early to discuss the vote. He says he can’t believe anyone paid attention to that article. It was a hatchet job; sensationalist tabloid garbage. Laura says, still, Jackie’s credentials carry a certain amount of prestige. Her mother and Monica simply suggested they read it. Lesley says, it was a close vote, but ultimately, the Board decided to turn him down. Laura tells him, don’t bother trying to fight it either. The drug was developed at GH, and GH isn’t going to submit it to the FDA.

Elizabeth gives Franco his shaving case, and tells him that his meds are in it. He thanks her, and says Doc is going to meet him there tomorrow morning, and help him check in. He’ll stay at the MetroCourt until then. There’s a knock at the door.

Chase tells Gregory that he steamed Finn’s suit. He can’t believe Finn spent the night there so he wouldn’t see Anna before the wedding. Who knew either of them was so traditional? Gregory says, it’s a way to mark the end of your single life, and take a pause before your life as a married partner begins. Chase says, he and mom didn’t do that, did they? Mom is anything but traditional. Gregory says, actually, Jackie insisted on it. He didn’t see or hear from her for 24-hours before the wedding. Part of him started to wonder if maybe she’d changed her mind.

Jackie comes out of the elevator at the hospital, and sees Finn. She asks if he isn’t getting married in a few hours, and he says, something came up that couldn’t wait. She says, what could possibly be… Is it about Harry(Chase)? He says he did the DNA test, and the results are at the lab. When he gets them, he’ll know if Chase is his son. She says he can’t do this.

Cyrus says Laura and her mother had no right to meddle. GH needs the income stream this new drug could bring. Lesley says she thinks he’s talking about his income stream. Doesn’t he hold the patent for the drug? Laura says, it’s for the best. The FDA would have done more testing, and what they did was save General Hospital from public embarrassment. He says, this isn’t over, and leaves. Lesley says, it felt so good, and Laura says she thinks Lesley and Monica should team up more often. Lesley says they may not see eye to eye on much of anything, but they agree Cyrus is wrong for GH. Laura says, Cyrus was just handed his first major setback since he took over as Chairman. Lesley says she’s going to savor the memory as her plane takes off, and Laura says, she’s leaving?

Curtis tells Jordan, all he needs to do now is finalize the paperwork, and she says she didn’t realize that he was unhappy being a P.I. He says, neither did he, until he recognized and decided he needed a change in his life, a different direction. She asks if he has any idea what he’s going to do next, and he says he’s buying a nightclub.

Anna asks if Valentin still wants to protect Peter after everything he’s done, but he says, no. Peter burned the evidence, which is a good thing since Anna withheld it. She could have gotten arrested. They need proof of Peter’s crimes. Anna says, and let him marry her goddaughter in the meantime? No. Maxie needs to know the truth about who she’s letting in to her life. He says, if she tells Maxie the truth, it could get Peter killed.

Nina says she had no idea Maxie had doubts about marrying Peter, but Maxie says she was talking about Nathan. Her phone rings, and it’s Spinelli. She asks if everything is okay with Georgie, and he says, Georgie’s condition remains unchanged. His, however, is not. Sadly, he’s succumbed to an unfortunate stomach malady, and needs to go home. He’s so sorry. She says, what? He’s not coming to the wedding? He says he’s afraid not, but please know he wishes her only the best of everything. Her happiness is truly all he’s ever wanted. Again, he’s so sorry. He hangs up, and says, satisfied? Peter says, quite. Now go home. If he sees anyone, pretend to be sick. Spinelli says, he won’t have to pretend. This marriage nauseates him. He leaves.

Maxie tells Nina, Spinelli just apologized. He said he’s sorry, but he’s not coming to the wedding. Nina says she’s sorry, but Maxie says, it’s fine. It would probably be too hard for him to watch her marry Peter anyway. Like it’s too hard her for Nina for different reasons. Nina just had her heart ripped out, and shouldn’t be forced to paste on a smile and be in a partying mood. Nina says, of course (🍷) she’ll be there, but Maxie tells her, consider herself uninvited. Nina says, what?

Jason asks Elizabeth if Franco is there, but she says, it’s not a good time. Franco says, it’s fine; come on in. Is there something Jason wants to ask him?

Cyrus stomps around the reception area. Finn tells Jackie that he knows how she feels, but sorry; the test results are waiting, and he needs to know the truth. She says, at any cost? A woman brings a phone to Cyrus, and says, the Board is on the line, and wants to discuss the vote. He takes the phone. Jackie says, Finn hasn’t changed a bit, has he? It’s all about facts, not people. He doesn’t stop to consider the ramifications of the truth. He says he thought the truth didn’t matter in journalism, but she says, not with this. Gregory will always be Chase’s father, and they’re still family. If Finn finds out Chase is his son, it will devastate Gregory. Finn has no idea what Chase means to Gregory; they’re so close. Chase will lose everything; the father he’s loved his whole life, the mother who kept the information from him, and the brother he’s come to care about and adore. Is it worth taking all that from Chase?

Chase asks if Gregory thought his mom was going to leave him stranded at the altar. Was he paranoid? Gregory says, they fell in love fast, Jackie was younger, and he kept wondering what this beautiful, intelligent adventurer saw in a quiet history professor. Chase says, there must have been something; she showed up, didn’t she? Gregory says, she did. She spent so long in the bride’s room, he thought she’d never come out, but when she did, his life was never the same. Chase asks if she ever said where she was, and Gregory says he didn’t ask. Once they were married, it didn’t seem important.

Jason tells Franco, Sam said he was talking to himself before Alexis attacked him. Can Franco tell him what that was about? Cameron comes down, and asks what Jason is doing there. Jason says he came to speak to Franco, and Elizabeth tells Cameron, they’ve got this; go upstairs. Cameron says he’ll go when Jason goes, but Franco says, please do as his mom asks. They’re fine. Cameron leaves, and Franco says Cameron thinks Jason is a threat to him. Elizabeth says, but his fears are unfounded, because any agreement Jason made with Franco is off. Franco says, so Jason was asking why he was talking to himself. He’s hearing voices.

Valentin says, if Anna tells Maxie, she’ll tell Spinelli. Anna says, and he’ll tell Jason. Valentin says she knows how Jason will react, and she says Jason tried to warn her, but she didn’t listen. Valentin says, Jason will kill him, and she says she wouldn’t be surprised if Peter turned up dead. They wouldn’t be able to trace it to Jason, but it would be his work.

Anna says she doesn’t want Jason involved. She wants Peter to face justice, but not killed in cold blood. Valentin says, then don’t they have to wait? Gather evidence, so the WSB can prosecute Peter themselves? Anna says, at Maxie’s expense? She can’t do that. He says, so what do they do?

Laura says she wishes she and Lesley had more time together, but she’s grateful Lesley is going to be with Lulu. Lesley tells her, don’t worry. She’s going to consult with Lulu’s doctors, and make sure her granddaughter is getting the best possible care. Laura says she keeps hoping and praying Lulu will wake up, and Laura says, they have to keep believing. Lesley says, their girl is strong, like her momma, and Laura says, and like her momma. They hug, and Laura tells her mother that she loves her.

Jackie says she’s begging Finn, please think about the people he loves and what they stand to lose. Finn nods, and says, okay. Maybe she’s right. Today is not the day for this. He won’t go to the lab and get the results. She thanks him, and says he’s saved them all a lot of pain.

Jordan tells Curtis that she hopes it works out. He deserves to be happy. He thanks her, and she asks him to save her a table for his opening night at the new club. He says she’s got it, and she says she’d better go. Anna will be there any minute. She walks to the elevator, and Curtis says she looks incredible. She goes into the elevator, and tries not to cry.

Jason says, Franco is hearing voices? and Franco says, just the one. Elizabeth says the doctor in Switzerland thought it was left over from Drew’s memories, not the tumor. Jason asks if Franco recognizes the voice, and Franco says he does. It’s Peter August.

Peter looks at his tux, and says, it won’t be long now before he marries Maxie.

Sam and Britt go to the bride’s room, and Britt asks if Maxie is ready for the finishing touches. Sam wonders if she’s still getting dressed, and goes into the other room. Britt sees the garter, and Sam comes back, saying, Maxie’s not here; she’s gone. Britt wonders where she could be.

At Nathan’s grave, Maxie says, it’s her again. She’s getting married in a few hours, and had to come check in with him first, because she doesn’t know what to do. He always knew the right thing to do, so please, she needs his guidance. She hears footsteps, and says, oh my God. What are you doing here?

On Monday, Curtis says he feels solid in his decision, Sam says they have no idea where Maxie is, Maxie says Peter isn’t the man someone thinks he is, and Valentin says, it’s not too late.

General Hospital

Finn looks through the scans of Franco’s brain. Elizabeth asks what he thinks, and he says he thinks cancer isn’t his specialty. She says she knows, but she just got the images back, Terry hasn’t gotten back to her yet, and she trusts him to be honest with her. She’s not asking for a prognosis, just his take. Is the radiation working? Is Franco’s tumor shrinking?

Franco tosses and turns on the couch, repeatedly hearing, please be Drew Cain; you know his brother.

Curtis brings Sam to the club, and she says, it’s really nice. She wonders why she never heard of it. He says, probably because she has kids, and she says, back in the day, this place would have caused her a lot of trouble. He says he’d have been right there with her. Sam says she noticed a bunch of beautiful women, ogling Curtis. Does she need to call Jordan to save him? He says, Jordan’s got enough to do saving herself.

Portia goes to Jordan’s office, and Jordan asks how she can help. Portia says she doesn’t need help, but Taggert does. Whatever Cyrus wants to tank the government’s case against Taggert, she wants Jordan to give to him.

Standing in the woods on the phone, Jason says he sees it. He tells them, no, don’t do anything yet. Let’s see how it plays out.

In the car next to Jackie, Martin cleans up a basket of fried chicken, licking his fingers. He says he’d offer her some, but she’s already expressed her displeasure of fried chicken several times. She said he just worked his way around a gooey cinnamon roll, and he says he never eats like this unless he’s nervous. He just realized, no one ever made fried chicken like his mama. Jackie says she’s not surprised. His mother sounds perfect. He says, close enough. If she’s wrong about this… She says she’s not. She looks through a pair of binoculars, and says, Bobbie Spencer is holed up in that house. And the patient she’s caring for is his mother.

Bobbie sits on Florence’s bed, reading out loud to her. Florence looks happy.

At the hospital, Nikolas pays off a guard, saying he wants 30 uninterrupted minutes. The guard leaves, and Laura comes out of the elevator. She says, friend of his? and he says he’s been meaning to call her, steering her down the hall. He tells her that wanted to run some wedding ideas by her. When they’re out of sight, Ava comes out, and sneaks into a room. Ryan sits in a chair, and she says, please don’t get up.

Laura asks if Nikolas and Ava have set a date, and he says, they’re hoping for late spring, early summer. She says, good. It gives him time to make peace with his son.

Ava wonders what malady brought Ryan back to GH from his minimum security prison. She flips through a folder, and says, oh, bed sores. That’s what happens when you let your stabbing and severing muscles fall out of use. She can’t imagine how frustrating it must be for him, but she doesn’t have to imagine it. She leans on the back of his chair, and says, they both know he’s not as helpless as he appears.

Martin asks why Jackie is so convinced Jason has his mother stashed away in there. There’s been no sign of her, or anyone else who might be involved in her abduction; just lights behind curtain windows. She tells him, look in the back seat, and he picks up a big plastic bag, wondering what she has in there. It stinks to high hell. She says, the thing about garbage is that it has an unpleasant odor, and he takes out two prescription bottles. She asks if they look familiar, and he says his mother takes this medication. She says, and the prescriber? He says, Bobbie Jean Spencer, Nurse Practitioner, and she says, aka Bobbie Spencer. He asks how she knew they were here, and she says she did a story on private nurses; their dedication and long hours. One of the nurses from her story is a contact, and she has a friend who relieves Bobbie when Bobbie needs a break. He asks when she had time to go through the trash there, and she says, while he was in line for fried chicken, she took a trip there. If he keeps looking, he’ll find someone has a yen for Corinthos coffee. He says he’ll take her word for it; color him impressed. But if she knew his mother was there, why didn’t she call the police? She says, and risk his mother being in the middle of shootout between the police and Jason’s men? He says, so what are they going to do? They can’t just sit there while his mother languishes. She tells him, don’t worry. Does he know what the biggest newspaper in the nation named her? Jackie Templeton, woman of action.

Jordan tells Portia, fine. Let’s talk. Portia says they don’t need to talk. What her family needs is action – from Jordan. Cyrus agreed to stonewall the Feds’ case against Taggert, and without Cyrus’s testimony, Taggert could go free. Jordan asks if Cyrus told Portia what he’s expecting to get back for his cooperation, and Portia says, he didn’t volunteer any information. She asks what he expects for keeping quiet, and Jordan says, Cyrus and Jason are in a stand-off. Cyrus wants Jason to give up his leverage, which will leave Port Charles open for a mob war. Cyrus will run his drugs through their town, and they’ll see an epidemic of overdoses and deaths. Jason and his men will try to fight back, leaving the PCPD and GH to pick up the pieces. So Cyrus isn’t offering his silence in good faith. It isn’t an offer; it’s a manipulation. Portia says, it’s no surprise Cyrus would want to use the situation to his advantage, but she doesn’t care what he wants not to testify, as long as he refuses. It will break Trina’s heart if her father goes to prison. If anyone knows what it’s like to protect their child’s happiness, she knows it’s Jordan.

Curtis tells Sam, he thought his and Jordan’s relationship could handle just about anything. Pretty naïve, huh? She says, no. Sometimes we think we can handle it all, then something comes along we don’t anticipate, and it puts a new perspective on it. He says he doesn’t know how much is a new perspective, as much as it’s just a series of events that led him to realize Jordan isn’t the woman he thought she was. If he could be so wrong about his marriage, what else could he be wrong about?

Finn tells Elizabeth, Terry is a top oncologist, and will let her know if Franco’s tumor is changing. She says, but he can read the scans. Please. She’s desperate. He says it will just be his opinion, and she says she’s not going to sue him if she doesn’t like it. He says, okay. In his opinion, after Franco’s initial rounds of radiation therapy, the size and shape of his tumor remains unchanged.

Franco is still sleeping restlessly, and starts to repeat, Jason. He gets louder, and Cameron says, Franco, trying to wake him up. Franco suddenly sits up, pushing Cameron back. He’s about to punch Cameron, when Cameron raises his hands and says, Franco, it’s me. It’s Cameron.

Laura asks if Nikolas has reached out to Spencer since he and Ava decided to renew their vows. Does Spencer know they’re marrying for love this time? He says he spoke to Spencer and explained, but Spencer’s response was less than enthusiastic. She says she knows how much Spencer loves him; he’ll come around. Keep reaching out. He says, for how long? Spencer is stubborn. Spencer is quick to anger, and slow to forgive. She says, and he’s sensitive and bighearted, like someone else she knows. He asks if he should apologize for wanting to marry Ava again, and she says, of course not (🍷), but don’t expect a change of attitude overnight. She thinks once Spencer sees how much Ava loves Nikolas, and how happy Ava makes him, he’ll come around.

Ava tells Ryan, she’s so impressed at how he was able to communicate to one of his minders that he wanted to send her this lovely gift, made just for her. She shows him the roach, no longer under glass. She says, soon, he won’t be able to give her any more tokens of affection. She and Nikolas are going to identify his helper, and put an end to this. The note was such a nice touch; secrets and cockroaches, the only two things that always survive. Except for us. She laughs, and says she nearly busted a gut. She’s so sorry. Did he think she’d be frightened? She puts her face close to his, and says, no, Ryan; not anymore. She moves even closer, and says, if anyone ought to be scared, it’s him… scared of her.

Franco wonders if he hurt Cameron, and says he didn’t mean to. Franco didn’t know it was him. Cameron says, it’s okay; it’s no big deal. Franco was dreaming. It was probably a nightmare. Franco says, Cameron woke him up, and startled him. He’s sorry. Cameron says, it’s his fault; no biggie. He’ll get Franco some water.

Elizabeth says, so it’s too soon to expect any progress, and Finn says, yeah. She says, dammit. Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn. She bangs the wall with her fist, then puts her head against it. Finn comes up behind her, and says, hey.

Bobbie reads to Florence from a romance novel, and Florence says her Marty used to read to her all the time, but nothing as steamy as this. Bobbie has a soothing voice; it lulls her right to sleep. Bobbie says Florence misses him doesn’t she? and Florence says she does. Her Marty is a good boy. He always looks out for her. Bobbie promises she’ll see him very soon, and leaves to get Florence’s medication.

Martin asks Jackie, what’s the plan? She’s the woman of action; how does she intend to sneak them in to locate his mother undetected? Jackie says, the house was renovated last year. She got the plans from the county clerk’s office, and memorized the layout. It’s easy to navigate. He asks if that’s the plan. They just go room to room, looking for his mother, hoping they remain undetected, and Jackie says she understands Florence is bedridden. There’s a parlor on the first floor. She guesses that’s where Florence is. She’d be easier to move if needed. He says, what if one of Jason’s henchman discovered them snooping? and she says, they didn’t. The guards have 12-hour shifts, and their best opportunity is during the changeover. Which is now. She opens the car door and says, coming? He says he has one last question. What’s the plan if they get caught? She says, there isn’t one. Don’t get caught. He says, oh Lord. He’s going to live to regret this.

Finn asks how Elizabeth’s hand is, and she says, it’s fine; she’s used to it. He asks if it happens often, and she says, only since Britt became Chief of Staff. He takes it Britt hasn’t mellowed, but Elizabeth says she’s glad Brook is there. She needs someone to take out her anger on. It’s hard to take it out on the tumor, and she’s mad at herself for being mad at Franco.

Cameron brings the water, and tells Franco, sorry. It’s his fault; he shouldn’t have startled Franco. Franco tells him not to blame himself – ever. He shouldn’t have reacted. Cameron says it’s not Franco’s fault. He’s sick, and had a nightmare. Does he remember any of it? Franco says, no, and Cameron says Franco was talking, saying the same thing over and over. Franco asks what he said, and Cameron says, it sounded like Jason.

Sam is sure Curtis’s problems with Jordan caused him to question himself. He entered the relationship thinking they were on the same page. He says, along came some test that blew up his assumptions, and she says, he realized along the way that he’s one who changed. He’s not the kind of person that believes in relationships anymore. He says, yeah. He’s been rethinking about a lot of things lately, including his profession. He’s made a career out of digging up other people’s dirty little secrets, and he never cared, because they weren’t his secrets. Then he discovered his life was full of them too. He can’t stomach another case of infidelity, or tell another client that they’re being lied to by the person they trusted most. He’s done digging. She gets it, and asks what he wants to do. He looks around, and says she’s looking at it.

Portia tells Jordan, it was wrong of her to bring up TJ; it was uncalled for. Jordan says Portia had every right to bring it up, but Portia says Jordan doesn’t need Trina adding on to her problems. Just get her in to see Taggert, and she’ll take it from there. Jordan says Portia doesn’t need her permission, and Portia says, no, but she needs Taggert’s. He refused a visit. Jordan says she thought Trina didn’t want to see him, and Portia says, Trina was hurt and angry. She was confused, and completely overwhelmed, but that changed when Cyrus dangled Taggert’s freedom in front of her. Naturally she’s interested in her father coming home, but now he refuses to see his daughter. Jordan says she’ll speak with him, but he’s not going to change his mind, and he’d be right not to.

Jackie and Martin sneak around the house where Florence is, and he asks how long they have. She puts her finger to her lips, and peeks into a room. They go in, and Martin says, it’s him, Marty, come to take her home. The bed is empty, and Jason is sitting in a chair. He says, wrong room. Ha-ha! Jason’s way of being low-key funny.

Elizabeth tells Finn that she’s angry at Franco for getting sick. They’re not perfect, but they had a good life. They were happy. Finn says, before the tumor, and she says, Franco didn’t tell her, and hid his diagnosis, making a plan without her. He says, the desire to hide a diagnosis from a loved one is pretty common. In part, it’s to protect the loved one, but part is also denial. He’s seen it before; he did it himself. She thinks Franco’s denial lasted longer than normal. When he finally told her, he ignored Terry’s advice to start radiation, and took off to Switzerland for an unproven treatment. She can’t help thinking about the time they lost, and how much bigger the tumor might have gotten because they did nothing. She wonders how much sicker he got, and if he’s too sick now to get better.

Franco wonders why everything is always about Jason, and tells Cameron, there are more interesting people in this world. Cameron says, it makes sense Franco’s nightmare would be about Jason. Jason hates him. Jason can’t forgive the things Franco did when he had his first tumor, but it’s not Franco’s fault. Franco hates that Cameron has to think about any of it, and Cameron says, that’s why Jason keeps his distance. Franco says, there’s nothing anyone can do about Jason, but Cameron says, the hell there isn’t.

Jason says he wondered how long it was going to take Jackie and Martin to get out of the car and pay Florence a visit. Martin says Jason knew they were there? and Jason says, yeah. Martin asks where Jason is holding his mother. He wants to see her now. Jackie says, if they could track Bobbie, so can Cyrus. Jason says if they want to talk to Bobbie, feel free. Martin says he doesn’t give a damn; he’s not there to play games. His mother is old and vulnerable. Please. He needs to see her. Jackie says, when Martin spoke to his mother on the phone, she said she was doing well, but he wants to see it with his own eyes that she’s whole and healthy. Jason says, okay.

Nikolas tells Laura, he adores Spencer, and will never stop trying to win him over, but he doubts he can do it in time to get Spencer’s blessing for the ceremony. He’ll keep trying to get Spencer to participate, for her. She says, no, for him and his son; the whole family really. He says he wants family togetherness as much as she does. Speaking of family, what’s going on with Cyrus? She says, his mother is missing, and he blames Jason for abducting her. He says that doesn’t sound like Jason, and she guesses what started the debacle was Carly. She leaps before she looks. Now Cyrus blames Jason, and her too, in a way. He says she has nothing to do with it, but she says, Cyrus believes she has the means to return his mother. He tells her, stay out of it. Let Cyrus play games with Jason, not her. She says she’d like nothing better, but Cyrus is irrational, and has an obsession with his mother. If she’s not returned, she’s afraid he’s going to lash out. She doesn’t want anyone in the family in his sites when he does.

Ava asks Ryan if she’s crystal clear. If he continues reaching out, she wouldn’t want him to claim she didn’t warn him. The only pest is him, and this is what she does to pests. She stomps on the roach, and grinds it into the floor. Ryan continues to stare straight ahead.

Finn asks if Elizabeth really wants his unvarnished assessment about Franco’s chances, and she says he knows she does. He says, Franco is too annoying to die. He doesn’t think death wants anything to do with Franco. He looks at her and the boys, and sees the love they have for Franco, and he doesn’t want anything bad to happen. She says, Franco is fighting cancer, not only the radiation, but the side effects. Finn asks if he has fatigue or nausea, and Elizabeth says, they went out on Valentine’s Day. Franco wasn’t feeling well… then his hair… She starts to cry, and says they went home, and Cameron saw what was going on. She could see how Franco was trying hard to cover up his embarrassment, and Cameron ran upstairs and shaved his own head. Finn says, impressive. Violet won’t be happy. She loves Cameron’s hair, but it will grow back. So will Franco’s. He says, it looks like Elizabeth has Franco covered. She says she does, and he asks, who’s covering her?

Franco tells Cameron, no one has hurt him, and Cameron says, really? Sam’s mom tried to stab him with a syringe, and almost killed Dante. People are refusing to treat him. Franco asks how Cameron knows about that, and Cameron says he heard Franco and his mom talking about the tech that didn’t want to be in the same room as Franco. Franco says, that’s one person, but Cameron says, it’s not. He’s seen it all over social media that Franco deserves to die. People think the tumor has made him dangerous, and it gives them the right to go after him. And don’t tell him that he’s stupid to worry and want to protect him. He cares whether Franco lives or dies. Franco says Cameron is super smart, and a good kid, but he doesn’t want to pick a fight with crazies to defend him. Cameron says, if he doesn’t fight to defend his family, who else would he do it for?

Portia says, Jordan and Taggert believe his best chance is to stay in the PCPD jail, essentially in protective custody, but for how long? What if the Feds decide to go ahead with the case? And even if by some miracle, Taggert is exonerated, Cyrus will come after him. Jordan says, by then, she should have Cyrus, and Portia asks, how’s that working for her this time? Jordan doesn’t say anything, and Portia says, that’s what she thought. In the meantime, she’ll shut out her daughter, causing no end to the pain and heartache. She doesn’t know what she’s supposed to do, and Jordan says, tell Trina, it’s not on Taggert, but on her.

Sam asks if she heard Curtis right. He wants to buy the nightclub? She’s sure he knows a healthy amount of patrons will want to unload their problems, and he’ll have to hear about their troubles. As a server – which he will be sometimes – he’ll be forced to stay in the bar and listen to their troubles. He says, the difference is, at the end of the night, he’ll close up shop and go home. He won’t have to think about them again. She says, and that appeals to him? He says, not having to produce pictures of infidelity to a brokenhearted spouse, or watch a man gamble away his child support money appeals to him. She says, then go for it, and he says he already is. He sits down and says, this is where she comes in.

Finn tells Elizabeth, it’s times like this when she needs a support system. Who has she reached out to? She says, Laura, Bobbie, Scotty; she has her career at the hospital. He says, good, but for what it’s worth (🍷), she can lean on him. She thanks him for talking her off the ledge, and gets up. She says, tell Violet that Cameron’s hair grows pretty fast. He says, good to know, and she leaves.

Franco says he can’t criticize Cameron for wanting to protect his family, and Cameron says Franco is already dealing with cancer treatments; he doesn’t need to deal with vigilantes. Someone needs to make them back off. Franco wonders what happens if Cameron gets into trouble defending him? Where does that leave Jake and Aiden? The boys look up to him. Cameron says, that’s crazy, but Franco says, it isn’t; it’s wonderful. They’re good kids, and want be like him. He’s a good kid. So he needs to continue being an honorable young man. At least until he goes to college in California. Cameron says he’s not going; he’s staying there. Franco asks when he decided that, and Cameron says, the other night. Franco says, Valentine’s Day. Why didn’t he say anything? Cameron says Franco and Elizabeth would have just argued with him, and tried to talk him out of it. He feels like so much has changed. Maybe he won’t go to college at all. Franco says, because of him and his tumor? and Cameron says, Franco didn’t leave him when he was in trouble. Why would he leave Franco?

Curtis asks if Sam is done with the P.I. game, and she says, actually, no. She’s ready to take on some work. Unlike him, she misses it. She’s not talking about anything dangerous. She has kids, and knows she has to be safe, but she just misses it so much. She wants to help people know the truth, even if it hurts them. He says he sees a way they can both get what they want, and she says she’s listening. He says, buy his half of the P.I. firm. He’ll give her full ownership of operations, his contacts, files, and lists, and he’ll give her fair market value. She asks what he’s going to do with the money, and he says, close the deal on this place. What does she say? Does she want to buy him out? she says, let the bidding begin.

Portia says she doesn’t want to lie to her daughter, but Jordan says, it’s not a lie. Effective immediately, she’s barring Taggert from having visitors. Portia asks if she can do that, since it’s Federal and out of her jurisdiction, but Jordan thinks they’ll accept her request. If Portia has a problem with Trina, send Trina to her. Portia says, if she’s willing to take on the full brunt of her daughter’s fury, and Jordan says she deserves it. It’s the best she can do, at least for now. Portia says she’ll take it, but only for now. Jordan says, good. Now if Portia doesn’t mind… Portia picks up her coat, and says she’s sorry to her about Jordan and Curtis. Cyrus really ruined a lot of lives. She leaves, and Jordan looks sad.

Bobbie tells Florence, someone is eager to see her. Martin walks in, and Florence holds out her arms. They hug, and Martin says he heard she was expecting him. He must say, her radiance is a sight for sore eyes. In the hallway, Bobbie asks Jason, now that Martin knows his mother is here, is there any chance this might be over? He says, sorry. It’s too soon to know how this will effect Cyrus’s reach. Florence tells Martin that he’s lost weight, but he says, don’t worry. He just ate the better part of a bucket of fried chicken. It wasn’t as good as hers though. She says, of course (🍷) it wasn’t. He eats badly when he’s stressed. Has he been worried? He says, about her? Of course (🍷). He hasn’t seen her for weeks. She says she missed him, but Bobbie and Mr. Blue Eyes are taking wonderful care of her.

Ava cleans her shoe, and says, it’s been fun, hasn’t it? What does he thinks of her new scent? It’s a Valentine’s gift from Nikolas; lovely, isn’t it? Would he like a whiff. She takes a bottle out of her bag, and sprays it all around him, then says, oh, sorry. She forgot he’s allergic to perfume, isn’t he? She guesses he’ll have to sweat it out, like an itch he can’t scratch. She leaves, and he still doesn’t react, except to blink.

Florence says, everyone is so sweet, and Jackie says, Martin isn’t the only one worried about her. Her other son is anxious to see her. Florence says, that guy can wait, and Jackie says it sounds like she doesn’t have a lot of patience for Cyrus. Florence says, sadly, her older son is a lost soul. He’s willful, selfish, and lacks conscience. She doesn’t know where she and his father went wrong, but she washed her hands of that scoundrel years ago. Jackie takes out a recorder, and says, tell her about it.

Nikolas asks Ava how the conversation went, and she says, one-sided. He says, the best kind, and thanks Laura for her advice; he’ll take it to heart. She says, any time, and Nikolas and Ava leave. Laura peeks in on Ryan through the door window, and walks away. A guard comes into Ryan’s room, and says he’s got mail. He puts a stack of envelopes down, and says he’s got one there from Ryan’s biggest fan, Heather W. He reads, dear Ryan. Love your work. I’m your biggest fan. We see some outgoing mail, with a letter addressed to S. Cassadine on top.

Tomorrow, Lesley says Cyrus is wrong for GH (like we didn’t know), Elizabeth asks if Franco is talking about moving out, Maxie uninvites Nina, and Cyrus wants to know where his mother is.

🏖 I’m here to report that Summer House is still just as awful, and the cast is still a bunch of horrible, horrible people, to borrow a phrase from Sophie on 2 Broke Girls. Ciara should run for her life, and take Hannah with her. Luke is still stringing Hannah along, using words like connection and chemistry and I love you. For a moment, I thought Ciara might actually be the voice of reason, when she told Hannah that she wanted nothing to do with a guy who could yell at a friend the way Luke yelled at Hannah. But the next thing I knew, she was sitting next to him, being a bobblehead while he talked a bunch of bullsh*t. Kyle, who’d seemed to have matured, and had just done a quarter million in sales with his online business, reverted back to his true baby nature, whining about people not doing their chores. I’m not sure what all happened there, but both Amanda and Hannah ended up in tears. Sadly, at the end of the episode, Carl found out his brother had died, and on Amanda’s birthday. Still, if you decide to watch this show, just remember, it’s an hour of your life you won’t get back.

Joining LuAnn’s drunken fall into the bushes, Ramona’s crazy-eyed runway walk, NeNe telling Kim, close your legs to married men, and so many other memorable moments, comes the analogy.

I find it hard to believe that Gia’s character is being questioned, unless kids her age don’t understand what an analogy is either. In which case, we have a bigger problem than this mess.

General Hospital

Sam comes into Dante’s room, and finds him getting dressed. She asks if he said anything about checking himself out, and he says he has a job to do. Sam says, he means to tell her that Peter can’t live without him for a couple of days, Franco or not? Suddenly, Dante keels over. Sam catches him, and calls for help. Franco and Elizabeth run in.

Walking into the MetroCourt, Jason tells Carly, they have to figure out a way to tell Martin about Florence, without them losing their leverage on Cyrus. She says, then she can concentrate on the other million and one things that need her attention. He asks if she’s sure Nina isn’t going to be a problem, and she says, Nina isn’t going to be a problem. She just wants to get this Martin thing taken care of, so she has one less fire to put out today. Scotty comes in, and says, trust him. Today’s not the day. Jason heaves a sigh.

On the phone at the bistro, Jax leaves a message for Nina, saying he knows she’s upset. They should have let her know they minute they realized Nelle was her daughter. Can they talk about this in person? If not, send him a text to let him know she’s okay. He’s worried about her.

Nina walks into the cemetery, and sees Maxie. She says she knew she wouldn’t have this place all to herself, and Maxie says, where else would she be? Nina puts her arm around Maxie.

In the ring at the gym, Chase tosses Gregory a headguard, but Gregory says, it won’t be necessary. They’re doing a little light sparring; emphasis on the light. Chase says Gregory has to protect that face. He doesn’t want to give his mom any reason not to get back together with him.

Finn tells Anna, he doesn’t know if he can do this. She says he can. As operations go, it’s pretty simple. All he has to do is get a DNA sample, and they’ll have the means to determine whether Chase is his brother or his son. She thinks he can pull it off. He says, if he even wants to, and she says he doesn’t have to run the test; nothing has to change. He can go on living like before. He says, never knowing whether Chase is his son? and she says, he has to ask himself, can he live without knowing?

Maxie says she wasn’t sure she was going to see Nina for a little while, and Nina asks, why not? Maxie isn’t the one who lied, and she’s the fool who shunned the only child she’ll probably have. Maxie tells her, don’t say that. Nina had no idea Nelle was her daughter. Nina says she didn’t come there to talk about her issues. What kind of sister would she be if she let her problems get in the way of honoring her brother? Britt arrives, and says, what kind indeed? Room for one more?

Finn says, if someone had told him a couple of years ago that he and Chase would be on speaking terms, let alone Chase would be his best man… Anna says, he would have laughed out loud. He says, he and Chase have nothing in common. Chase likes ice fishing. She says, don’t knock it until he’s tried it. Watching him and Chase interact is moving; the respect and trust. He wonders why he’s risking that. What does he have to gain by knowing? She asks what he has to lose, but he says, what does his dad what have to lose? Gregory loves being Chase’s father, and Chase is excited to reunite the family. What does Chase have to lose? Anna says he’s asking all the right questions, and Finn says, the problem is, there are no answers that lead to a good decision. She says, it’s his choice. It’s not so much about getting to the truth, as what he does with the information when he has it. No one is saying he should upend his life. Just because he knows the truth, no one else has to. He says, if Chase is his brother, he doesn’t need to know. If it turns out he’s Chase’s father, is it worse to know and say nothing?

Chase instructs Gregory on boxing, and Gregory asks if Chase thinks it’s his first time in the ring. He got tips from the greatest. Chase says, from Mohammad Ali? Please. Gregory asks if he’s read his mother’s interviews, and Chase asks if Gregory tagged along. Gregory says, being Mr. Jackie Templeton has it’s privileges. Chase says, last he heard, they haven’t signed the divorce papers. This means there’s hope for them, right? There’s marriage counseling; maybe Gregory can fix it. Gregory says he’s not sure there’s anything left to fix.

Sam tells Elizabeth that Dante is planning on checking himself out, but Elizabeth says a doctor has to sign off on it. Dante asks if it’s a hard and fast rule, and Elizabeth says, he can leave, but she can’t just let him walk out. Did he call Olivia? Dante says, she has a lot on her plate. Can’t Elizabeth bend the rules? Elizabeth asks if he wants her to get fired, and Dante says he wouldn’t be there if not for Franco, and suggests Franco do it, but Elizabeth says, Franco is busy. He can’t take responsibility. Sam says she’ll do it.

Carly tells Scotty that she has no patience for him today. Scotty says, he does want to give her his condolences, and tells her that he’s sorry for her loss. Sonny lived by the sword, and died in a river in New Jersey. Carly says she’ll talk to Jason later, and walks away, and Jason asks why Scotty talks so much. Scotty will probably forget what said, but Jason won’t. Scotty tells him, funny he should say that to the guy who holds his miserable, stinking, wasted, thug life in his hands.

Scotty tells Jason that he had a conversation with his son about a cockamamie plan to have himself killed if the tumor makes him nuts. Does that ring a bell? Jason asks why he’d care about what Scotty and Franco talk about, and Scotty says if something happens to Franco, he’ll make sure Jason spends his life in a hamster cage. Jason says then he better watch his step. Jackie comes in, and says, Scotty Baldwin, as she lives and breathes.

Dante says he doesn’t want Elizabeth to get fired. He won’t take off without an escort. Franco doesn’t have to babysit. Franco says, Dante saved his life. What thanks would it be to let him die today; maybe fall down and crack his head open? He asks why Dante did it? Old body reflex from being a cop? He’s just compulsively heroic? He really wants to know. Dante doesn’t say anything, and Franco asks if his gratitude is boring Dante. Dante says, he doesn’t know. It’s just something he had to do. Sam comes back, and he says, ready? She says, Elizabeth filed his release form, and they leave. Franco watches them, frowning.

Valentin thanks Anna for meeting with him. It was good of her to agree, even though her fiancé finds him despicable. She tells him not to needle her; she has no patience for it. He asks if she’s found any answers about Dante, and she says she has, but the answers have given rise to more questions.

Carly meets Jax at the bistro, and he says he took the liberty of ordering her a vanilla latte. She asks how he’s holding up after last night, and he says he’s a bit of a mess. She says he hides it well, but she can see how it’s affecting him. He says he and Nina were just starting to build something. They were turning a corner, and Nina had finally let go of her dream of finding her child. Now she knows the truth, and he can justify it a million different ways, but the bottom line is, he betrayed Nina’s trust, and broke her heart. Carly says, it seemed like the right thing to do, and he says, not anymore. She asks where Nina is and if they’ve talked, and he says, no, but he knows exactly where she is.

Britt says she hopes Maxie and Nina can stand one more, and Maxie says, Nathan loved Britt. Of course (🍷) she can stay. Britt looks at Nina, and says she can come back later, but Nina says, no. Of course (🍷) stay. Britt was gone from Port Charles so long, she forgets Britt and Nathan were close. Britt says, so close, they almost slept together before they realized they were siblings. Another branch on their twisted family tree. Nina says, it’s only getting nuttier, and Britt asks if she missed something. Nina says she just learned about another addition to their sweet family, and Britt says, congratulations. Are Nina and Jax adopting? Nina says, no, but does Britt remember the daughter she was looking for? She just learned it was Nelle Benson. Britt says, baby switching Nelle Benson? Just when she thought their family couldn’t get messier.

Chase and Gregory leave the ring, and Chase says he regretted letting Willow go for months. Gregory can avoid it before the divorce. Pull out all the stops; weddings bring out the best in people. Gregory says he doesn’t think Finn’s wedding is the proper place for him to resuscitate his marriage. Chase says, ask mom to dance. See what comes of it. If he wants to save his marriage, he has to put in the effort. That’s what he wants, right? Gregory says what he wants doesn’t matter if Jackie doesn’t want it too. Chase asks him to explain how he and Jackie got there in the first place. Finn stands by the ring, listening.

Gregory tells Chase, he doesn’t have an easy answer. Over time, couples settle into a routine and take each other for granted. You lose curiosity about the other person. It’s no one’s fault; you drift apart. Chase asks if paddling back is out of the question. Is he even going to try? Gregory sees Finn, and says, right on time, a referee. Finn asks if boxing is over, and Gregory says Chase was coaching him in the art of romance. Chase says he was telling their dad to get off his ass, and pull out all the stops to win his wife back while he still has a marriage. Finn says, it’s none of his business, and Chase says, excuse him for wanting to help. Finn says, did their dad ask Chase for help, or did Chase just push it on him? Chase says, that’s funny, because he doesn’t remember asking for Finn’s help in regard to Willow, but he offered it. Finn says, as he recalls, Chase shut him down pretty good, and Chase asks if he means like father like son.

Scotty says, Jackie Templeton, and Jackie says, in the flesh. Why don’t they get a drink, and catch up? Scotty says give him two minutes, and Jackie tells him that her sister was asking about him. She’d wondered if anyone had snapped him up. Scotty says, many have tried. Her sister was asking…? Jason starts to wander off, and Scotty says, they’re not through. Jackie steers him toward the bar, and says he’ll thank her for saving his ass. Jason sees Dante come in with Sam.

Jax tells Carly, he’s sure Nina is visiting her brother’s grave; it’s the anniversary of his death. Carly says she didn’t realize, and asks if Jax shouldn’t be with her. He says he tried to reach out, but he’s not going to impose on Nina mourning her brother’s death. She says, it’s not an imposition. Nina could use the support, coming off of finding out Nelle was her daughter. He says he knew, and didn’t tell Nina, but Carly says he was sparing her the grief. He says that’s one of his thousand justifications, but the bottom line is, he had no right to play God with what Nina could handle. Carly says, it’s not certain. There was no DNA test. He says, a DNA test would have confirmed it, but it’s a foregone conclusion. Nina went through Nelle’s things, and found a photo of a little girl wearing the necklace. There was no mistaking it. She says, then there’s nothing left for them to do, except make sure Nina doesn’t push it further.

Nina wonders what Jay would think of their family right now, and Britt says, about the same as he did when he left them; pain and disfunction wherever you look. Nina says she can’t argue with that. Madeline died in prison, and Obrecht is there too. Britt is connected to a reputed drug trafficker. Britt says, a philanthropist, slash, reputed drug trafficker. Nina says, and her boyfriend lied to keep her from finding out the truth about her daughter, but she did anyway. Britt says, sounds bleak, but Nina says they have Maxie’s wedding to look forward to. Maxie is going to start a new life with Peter. They love and adore each other and the kids, and have another little one coming. Nothing but blue skies, right? Britt says, or is paradise not what it’s cracked up to be?

Valentin says, all he wants to know, is if Dante can be trusted around Charlotte, but Anna says she has no answer for that. Dante was housed in a WSB psychiatric facility in Geneva, and under the care of a Dr. Kirk, who was allegedly treating him for PTSD. He asks, why allegedly? and she says, Kirk worked for a specialized unit. It would be rare for him to treat someone for that. Valentin suggests they reach out to Kirk, but Anna says, they can’t; he’s dead, murdered. He asks if it was before or after Dante was released, and she says, after. The WSB chalked it up to a mugging, but no perpetrator has been apprehended. He says, too much of a coincidence, and she says, especially given Obrecht was also his patient. He says, she’s in Steinmaur, but Anna says, Kirk had her transferred. He says, now Kirk is dead, and Anna says, now Obrecht’s file is classified to where it’s above her clearance level. Valentin says he hadn’t realized clearance went that high. She says, Franco had a preliminary consultation with Kirk, then Dante saved his life. Why would he do that? He has no use for Franco. Why go out of his way to save his life? Valentin says, Kirk was treating Obrecht, Franco, and Dante. Other than that, what’s the connection? Anna says, it’s got to be Peter.

Gregory asks if Chase is worried he’s going to turn out like his old man. Chase says he doesn’t mean that, and Gregory knows it. Gregory says he realized early on that he fathered polar opposites. His first born was aloof, particular, and preferred books to people. Which didn’t prepare him for the second, who’s a motor-mouth morning, noon, and night, like the world’s friendliest puppy. He never met anyone he didn’t like, and always wanted to play. Chase asks if that’s how Gregory sees him; he’s a cop. Gregory says, everyone loves puppies. It’s a compliment; and he got it from his mom. He recognizes his standoffish qualities in Finn. Chase guesses he’s his mother’s son, and Gregory says he’s lucky to have both of them. He hopes they won’t repeat his mistakes, and trusts they won’t end up like their old man.

Elizabeth asks Franco if he talked to Dante. Franco says he got no answers, and no explanation as to why Dante would risk his life. She says, he’s looking for a complicated answer, when simple makes more sense. Dante is a good guy, and did a good thing for another good guy.

Jason asks how Dante is feeling, and Dante says, ready for his next life-threatening injury. Sam says Dante was told to take his time before going back to protecting Peter. Dante says, that job falls to whoever is next. Peter fired him.

Jackie asks why Scotty was provoking Jason, and Scotty says Jason doesn’t intimidate him. Jackie says from what she learned in her research, he should, and Scotty asks what she thinks she knows about Jason. She says he was Alan and Monica’s golden boy until AJ caused an accident. Afterwards, Jason worked for Sonny, and was considered the best enforcer in the business; he flourished at it. Sound correct? He says, yeah, but she left out before the accident. Jason had a closet full of sweaters and tennis rackets. She says, Scotty left out the part about how, currently, Jason has serious beef with Scotty’s son. What’s that about?

Carly tells Jax that Nina would just rewrite history. She already thought Nelle could be redeemed before she found out. Nina could push the investigation, and they know how eager that cop was to build a case against her. He says, there is no case to build; she didn’t kill Nelle. She says, she knows, but could she have done more to save her? Nina would think so, and she doesn’t need extra scrutiny. She has to focus on her family, and keeping Cyrus at bay. Jax says, not to mention she has a hostage situation.

Maxie says she’s madly in love with Peter. They have a beautiful family, and a baby on the way. She’s sure Nathan would be happy that she fell in love again. Britt says, no offense, but she’s not exactly radiating joy. Be honest. Is it Peter? Maxie says, Peter isn’t the issue, and Nina says, but there is one; what is it? Maxie says, Dante, and Spinelli, and Robert, and Jason, who’s rarely wrong, but he’s wrong about this. She’s told them over and over that Peter is a good person, and she loves him. Here she is, on the verge of her wedding, and all she’s doing is looking for warnings or worried looks about her fiancé. What does she have to do to get acceptance? Britt says, marry someone else?

Gregory steps away to refill his water bottle, and Finn tells Chase to let their dad fix things on his own. Chase wonders if Gregory is capable of it, and Finn says, the point is, it should be his choice. If he decides confide in Chase, it’s up to him. Chase says, he’ll regret giving up without trying. Look at what Finn and Anna went through to come together, and he’s doing his damnedest to fight for Willow. Gregory needs to face it, and fight. Finn says, maybe it’s not in him, and Chase asks who they got it from then. Finn says, maybe each other.

Scotty says Jackie is trying to get him to say something about his son to use in a story, but she assures him that she’s not pumping him for information. She’s sorry it took this long to get in touch. They should do it again; get the 80s gang back together. Who else is around? He says he prefers one on one, and she says they’ll make a plan. She’ll give Robert a call, and Scotty can invite his ex. She’d love to know what Bobbie is up to.

Carly says she doesn’t know what Jax is talking about, and he says, Jason had Cyrus’s mother abducted from a healthcare facility in Vermont. It doesn’t ring a bell? Even if she didn’t help, she knew about it. She wonders why he’s asking, and he says, Valentin brought it up at Sasha’s TV shoot. Valentin was trying to make trouble between him and Nina. She tells him not to let Valentin bait him, and he tells her, that’s what Nina said. She said he should let Carly do things her way. She’s not only the woman he loves and lied to, she’s also Carly’s ally. Carly says, is, or was?

Maxie says, now Britt has a problem with her marrying Peter? Britt tells her, she didn’t say that, but Maxie says, she kind of did. Nina says Peter is Britt’s brother, and Britt says she knows exactly who Peter is. So does Nina, and so does Maxie. He’s the son of a Eurotrash murdering monster, and people will always see his father when they look at him. Maxie says Faison is Britt’s father too, and Britt says, exactly. She sees the way the world looks at her. If Maxie thinks after marrying Peter, people are going to forget where he came from, and line up to like him, she’s bound to be disappointed. Nina asks if Maxie really needs the world to bless her marriage, and Maxie says, of course (🍷) not, but it would be nice to have a smidge less grief about it. Nina says they can do something about that.

Anna tells Valentin, Dante works for Peter as head of security. Peter saved Franco’s life from an assassin who tried to kill him in the OR. The connection between Obrecht and Peter is obvious; she hates him. She blamed Peter for Nathan’s death, and framed him for her crimes. Valentin asks why Franco met with Dr. Kirk, and Anna says, Doc referred him because he was hearing Peter’s voice in his head. Kirk thought Peter’s voice had something to do with Franco being imprinted with Drew’s memories.

Franco tells Elizabeth, it still doesn’t add up. Why would Dante have the instinct to save his life? There was a time Dante would be gunning for him, not helping him out. She says, those days are over, and they’re not coming back. They need to make sure of that today. Franco says he can’t it put off any longer. Terry texted that she’s waiting in oncology. He asks if Elizabeth will still want to make out with him if he loses his hair from radiation, and she says he’s saying that like it’s his best quality. They get in the elevator, and he says he knows it’s his body. The only reason she loves him is his bod.

Chase’s phone rings, and he says, it’s the station; he has to take it. He steps away, and Gregory says he’s glad he and Finn have a moment alone. He hasn’t been completely honest when he says he wasn’t worried about them turning out like him. Finn always sees the world the way it is, good and bad. Chase is trusting, which is a strange thing to say about a cop, but he was relieved when he heard Chase was moving to Port Charles. He’s happy Finn decided to step up and kept an eye on him. Finn says, despite the time and distance he put between them, and Gregory says, what’s a little time and distance between brothers? Chase says he has to get to work, and Gregory leaves with him. Finn looks in the garbage can, and takes Chase’s water bottle out.

Scotty tells Jackie that Bobbie’s in – kind of. She says, good. As fallings out go, it’s kind of impressive. He says he inspires that in people, but as soon as he mentioned her name, Bobbie stopped yelling, and said she’d love to see Jackie as soon as she’s back in town. Jackie asks if she’s traveling, but Scotty says it sounds like a job. Jackie says she thought Bobbie worked at GH, and he says she did, until Cyrus became Chairman and took over. He fired her. She’s out now taking private nursing jobs God knows where. There should be a law about that.

Valentin says, so it has to do with memory mapping? and Anna says, Kirk’s theory was that they were left over memories from Drew. Jackie calls Valentin, and says she has a potential lead on Florence. He says, good luck finding her, but she’s going to do it without him. He has a pressing matter that needs his full attention. He hangs up, and tells Anna that Drew would have known Peter’s voice from working at Aurora, but she says, no. They were memories of Drew’s life before he came to Port Charles. He says, if Kirk was right, and Franco is hearing Peter’s voice from the memory transfer, that means Drew and Peter met years ago when Drew was still in the military. Anna says, if that’s true, why has Peter never said anything?

Sam says, Peter fired Dante? He kept saying he needed to get back to work. Dante says he must have meant to look for a job. Jason asks if there was a security breach, and Dante says Peter told him that it complicated things. Jason asks, how? and Dante says he got the idea Peter thought he didn’t want him to marry Maxie. It’s just a hunch. Sam says she’ll buy him lunch, and they go to eat.

Nina says, no one has the right to judge Maxie, and she shouldn’t have to face it alone. She proposes a pact; the three of them, in honor of Jay and each other. They stand together, united, no matter who, no matter what. Attack one – she takes Maxie’s hand – attack all. Maxie holds out her hand to Britt, who takes it. Maxie says, ladies, officially have chills. Britt says she never had female friends before, and Nina says, not just friends. They’re family.

Carly says it started when she lied to the cops about being at the cliff. She had no idea Nina was involved, and Nina could blow up everything with the truth. Jax suggests Carly call Diane and get ahead, just in case there are any changes. She asks if he’s going to work things out with Nina, and he says he’s going to try.

Maxie says she never thought she’d come to Nathan’s grave, and leave feeling better. Britt asks Nina where the rally-the-troops speech came from, and Nina says, them; her family. When she woke up today, she felt more lonely than when she woke up in the hospital after losing years and her child. Then they reminded her, they’re all connected; they’re family through Jay. She’s connected to someone else too – her grandson. Maxie says, Wiley, and Nina says, with all the drama, that fact went over her head. They gave her clarity. Nelle is gone, but Wiley isn’t. She missed her chance to know her daughter. She’s not going to make the same mistake with her grandson.

Tomorrow, Jackie says she’s scared of where this is going, Valentin says someone is obviously lying, Britt asks why Peter was at Nathan’s grave, Sonny has conditions, and Carly asks Jax if he thinks it’s going to work.

Southern Charm – The Reunion – Part Two

Andy said, hide your girlfriends and lock your liquor cabinets, the newest cast member is single and ready to mingle. He introduced John Pringle, and asked Madison what her impression had been of him. She said, overall, he was a gentleman, and wasn’t too inappropriate with her. Pringle talked about how he landed in Charleston, and said he’d tried San Diego, but came back to where he had the support of family and friends. Craig brought up how Pringle was always saying how much he missed his kids, and asked, why he left, since he trades off the computer. Pringle said something about taking an opportunity across the country, and making his kids’ lives better, which didn’t exactly answer the question regarding him doing business online. He said it was the hardest decision he’d ever made, and had a lot of guilt, but come at him about his kids and he’ll wake TF up. I wasn’t sure if that was directed at Craig, who’d made it clear it was an honest question, or just a general comment. Pringle said his ex was supportive, which everyone found impressive, and we flashed back to her visit. Leva wondered if they’d ever get back together, and he said she was amazing, but it wasn’t in the cards. Andy asked Austen about Patricia trying to get Madison to trade up, even when they were still together, which obviously didn’t sit well with him. Austen said when they weren’t filming, Patricia liked them together, but once they started filming, Patricia pawned Madison off on the first drunk that came along. Ouch for Pringle. Madison said Patricia had never done her wrong, but Austen on the other hand… Austen said Patricia paid her, but Madison said Austen was just mad because her income from Patricia was more than he made in a year. Pringle said Patricia knew it would be incendiary. (Hey, she’s bored in that house with Michael and the dogs.)

Madison announced she’d had a complete mommy makeover six weeks before, and said Austen hadn’t seen it, but Austen begged to differ, and Craig confirmed that. Craig said Austen and Madison had slept together since then, Madison dated multiple people, and she was a horrible person. I can’t attest to the first two, but we’re definitely in agreement on the third. Madison told him to keep it up; she had some things on him. I rest my case. Craig said she weaponized everything, and she told him to fix his hair. The Kirstin Cavallari/Jay Cutler thing came up, and Madison scrolled through her phone like an MF’er. Danni just kept saying, oh my God. Andy read a DM from Jay Cutler, asking if Madison recommended any good restaurants in Charleston, and Leva wanted to know if Madison had recommended hers. Points to her being business minded among the dreck. Craig said Madison was a terrible person and trashy, which triggered Kathryn, who told him not to use those words. She was called trash for years; why he was being a douche? We found out that Madison had split from her ex because she was trying to build an empire, while he wanted to live life day by day. No surprise there. I suddenly missed Chelsea, who was a real human being. Austen said he’d opened up a new world for Madison, since she’d complained that all she did was go to work and go home, but Madison said their relationship had been nothing but fun. When it stopped being fun, she wanted out. Okay… Craig said, then let Austen go, and Madison said she’d taken Craig’s advice. Shep said she was manipulative, and Madison said she’d been nothing but nice to Shep, and would hate for that to change. Shep asked if that was a threat, and there was a bunch of loud back and forth.

When things calmed down, Andy asked about Austen’s beer, and Austen said once his beer moved to cans, everything changed. He’d met with Leva’s husband not long ago. Leva said she was the one who’d arranged it, but she was pissed now because Austen had taken issue with something she’d said on Watch What Happens Live. We saw a clip from a game called Charming or Alarming, and Leva said she found Shep’s penchant for dating younger women alarming. Afterwards, Austen had said she was the biggest sh*t talker he knows. She said she wished he could control his emotions, and not pop off like a crazy person. Austen asked if she was saying that she didn’t want to do business with him now. She said she didn’t know, he ended up apologizing, and all was well. Andy asked Madison if she thought Austen had grown as a businessman, and Craig – who just can’t help himself – said Austen’s beer was now in stores, while Madison rented a chair in someone else’s salon. Andy told Craig to stay out of it, and read a question from Robert from Boston, asking if Madison picked guys she had the upper hand with, and she said 1000%. Austen said, in watching the show, he realized Madison didn’t care about him, and never had. His friends had been telling him that for years. He was effing done. She was like a monster, and if she didn’t have a son, her heart would be non-existent.

Andy said when the show started, Kathryn was living with Thomas, and asked Kathryn what it was about Thomas that kept pulling her back. She said it was hard to shake the thought of them being a family unit. Pringle said when you’re with your ex, the reasons you got together in the first place come back. Kathryn said, the door was closed. Pringle asked Kathryn if she and Thomas had hit their stride co-parenting, but she said, no. Thomas was suing her for custody again. It was unclear why, but she thought it was because he was moving. She hadn’t seen his new baby, and had never talked to his baby mama. She said Kensey had a crush on Chleb, and Andy asked what was different about Kathryn’s relationship with him. Kathryn said he was supportive, and more like a teammate. She better understood how a good relationship was supposed to work. Andy said viewers questioned the timing. They said she was trying to course correct. She said Chleb hadn’t thought the monkey emoji was racist, but explained to her why it might be to other people, then they went through that whole thing again. Leva said she’d tried to help Kathryn, but Kathryn thought Leva tried to isolate her, and make her storyline bigger by riding on her mistake. Leva said she’d gotten death threats, and Kathryn said it was hard for her, and she was doing her best. Leva said she never said Kathryn was racist, but her actions were tone-deaf. Madison looked bored, since it didn’t have anything to do with her. Leva said it started with their voices, not hers.

Kathryn said it had been very difficult, and started to cry, but Leva calmed down, and gently explained why Kathryn had been tone-deaf. Andy asked about Danni and Kathryn’s friendship, and Danni wanted Kathryn to answer. Kathryn said they’d visited, and it was like old times. Danni said she didn’t hold grudges, but if she didn’t agree with something, she’d say so. They discussed the racist actions of their ancestors, and Craig said the extra L was added to Chleb’s last name to separate that branch of the family from the Ravenels who’d owned them. Shep said it was important to raise awareness by protesting, but to change the system, you had to change the people in power who wanted to keep it that way. Pringle said you also had to raise your children right, and Leva said those who were ahead of people who had been oppressed, had the responsibility to help those who lagged behind. Kathryn said she was becoming more cognizant. Watching Leva’s reaction to the Calhoun statue being taken down was cool. It made her more aware, and she genuinely wanted to make it right. Austen admitted he needed to grow and learn, and Leva said she wanted them to understand that they lived in a bubble of freedom; for example, they didn’t have to worry about one of their sons going out while wearing a hoodie. They all had to be sensitive, kind, and empathetic.

During a break, Kathryn approached Leva, and said she wasn’t the best with words, but wanted to articulate that she cared. She wanted Leva to understand that, and Leva told her, just speak from your heart. You can tell Leva is a mom, the way she talks to Kathryn.

Andy said there was still a lot of unfinished business, but one thing they’d learned is that you never stop doing the work. He wanted to know how the year had changed everyone as people, and Danni said she’d become enlightened about white privilege. It was an awakening, in a good way. Pringle said he discovered he was more offensive than he thought, then asked Andy to come back to him. Austen said he regained control of his own happiness and narrative, and Andy asked if he and Madison were going to cut the infinity loop of terror; their co-dependent and toxic cycle. Madison said she got to know her worth, and what she deserved in a relationship moving forward. Andy couldn’t decide if he thought it was totally over. Andy said Kathryn had a big year, and she said she’d learned, when conflicts happened, instead of going on the defense, she needed to accept humility and what she had to learn. Shep said he could sum it up in one word – Taylor. Craig said he was hungry (metaphorically… I think). He wanted more, and was going to keep trying to make as much money as possible. Madison got up and sat next to him, putting her hand on his leg. Just kidding. He said he was still going to stick up for his friends, but he learned you could only give so much of himself before you had to stop caring. Leva said she was grateful. So many lives had been lost, and every day wasn’t guaranteed. Since this had somehow turned into future resolutions, Pringle said he was going to drink less and quit hitting on guys’ girls. At first, Andy thought Pringle was saying that he was going to quit hitting on guys, and frankly, I thought the same thing.

Glasses of beer were brought out, and Andy asked Leva to give the toast. She toasted to health and happiness, and everything they had. She said they were a lucky bunch, and what made them lucky was their friendships. She said, cheers to sharpening friendships, and being charming while doing it. Shep suggested the next Reunion be at Andy’s apartment.

🏖 This season on Summer House, everyone is still just as awful, but they’re quarantined together for six weeks, working from the Hamptons house as well. This sounds like a true nightmare. Right out of the gate, Carl said when he’d tested positive for covid, he thought he was just hungover. To his credit, he decided to sober up after he met friends for dinner, and was already so wasted, he couldn’t stay conscious. Hannah, one of the few likeable people, thought she had a thing with Luke, until he said he was bringing a female friend with him. Unless she’s his cousin or something, we all know what that means.

Most people think of Rosa Parks as the first person to refuse to give up their seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. There were actually several women who came before her; one of whom was Claudette Colvin.

It was March 2, 1955, when the fifteen-year-old schoolgirl refused to move to the back of the bus, nine months before Rosa Parks’s stand that launched the Montgomery bus boycott. Claudette had been studying Black leaders like Harriet Tubman in her segregated school, those conversations had led to discussions around the current day Jim Crow laws they were all experiencing. When the bus driver ordered Claudette to get up, she refused, It felt like Sojourner Truth was on one side pushing me down, and Harriet Tubman was on the other side of me pushing me down. I couldn’t get up.

Claudette Colvin’s stand didn’t stop there. Arrested and thrown in jail, she was one of four women who challenged the segregation law in court. If Browder v. Gayle became the court case that successfully overturned bus segregation laws in both Montgomery and Alabama, why has Claudette’s story been largely forgotten? At the time, the NAACP and other Black organizations felt Rosa Parks made a better icon for the movement than a teenager. As an adult with the right look, Rosa Parks was also the secretary of the NAACP, and was both well-known and respected – people would associate her with the middle class and that would attract support for the cause. But the struggle to end segregation was often fought by young people, more than half of which were women.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I missed the beginning, but here’s what happened. Dante was in the parking lot, hearing, complete the mission, in his head. Jordan saw him (she’s being played by a temp – see below), and tried to have a conversation, but he said he had to be somewhere. Jason asked why Peter was threatening Britt, and at the Tan-O, a state trooper brought Sonny back to Phyllis and Lenny. At the hospital, Curtis told Portia that he was on a case involving infidelity, and Sam, Elizabeth, and Franco got all loud in the reception area. Alexis stayed out of it, busy drinking from a nip she’d brought along in her purse. And then…

Curtis tells Portia, his client believes her husband is stepping out on her at some club, and she says, doing surveillance at a nightclub doesn’t sound bad. He says, the nightclub’s glory days are behind it. It’s a shadow of what it used to be. He’s not looking forward to staking it out to catch a guy someone claims they care about. She asks if he wants to talk, but he says he can’t put her in that position again. She says, he’s just venting about his job; it happens to everybody. He says he doesn’t think she’d ever be disenchanted about medicine, but she says she has her days. Why doesn’t she come with him?

Jordan says, so Dante is involved with security, and he says, it pays the bills. She says she also knows he’s a seasoned professional, who’s dealt with complex cases. She thought he might return, but he says he doesn’t think he’s ready to handle the stress. She starts to say something else, but he interrupts, telling her that she didn’t hear him. He’s got somewhere to be. She apologizes, and says they all miss him. She asks him to keep them in mind when he’s ready, and he says, yeah. He’s sorry. It’s a generous offer, and he’ll keep it in mind.

Peter tells Jason, he and Britt were just having a sibling disagreement. It has nothing to do with him. Britt says, but it does have to do with her. Peter used her GH log-in to access Franco’s medical records. He accessed private information, and splashed it across the front page, causing panic inside and outside of the hospital. She’s the lucky one who will have to give an answer when asked how he got it. Peter says he lost his temper. The last time Franco had a tumor, people got hurt; people close to them, like Lulu. As soon as he heard the tumor was back, he had to get the word out. He can’t be only one who thinks Franco is a potential threat. He’s quite sure Jason feels the same way.

Alexis drinks from a nip in the examining room, and Elizabeth tells Sam, they’re not doing this here. Sam says she wants an explanation from Franco, and Franco says he’s not the same person. He knows he hurt Sam. He knows he hurt a lot of people. When he found out the tumor was back, he made arrangements. Sam asks, what does he mean? What kind of arrangements? What could he have done that would possibly protect her? He says, at the first sign of him reversing to bad Franco, if he thinks for a second that evil Franco is coming out to run the show, he’ll be put down. Sam looks at Elizabeth, and says, what?

Phyllis asks if Sonny is okay, and Lenny asks the trooper why he has Mike. The trooper says, Mike was waiting outside the hardware store before it opened. Sonny says, he wanted a job, and the trooper says, when he was told they weren’t hiring, he refused to leave. Sonny says, he’s handy. He’s good with tools and people, but the owner didn’t see that. He could have increased the business tenfold. Lenny asks, what happened? and the trooper says he took Sonny to the station when he wouldn’t leave.

Jackie asks how Sasha’s drug use began, and Sasha says, it started so simply; it was gradual. She wasn’t dealing well emotionally, and one night, she had too much to drink. Jackie says, drinking to cover the pain, that’s not unusual, and Sasha says, no, but she had a photo shoot the next day and overslept. She looked like hell, and someone on the set saw her struggling, and offered the drugs to her. Nina tells Jax that she can’t wrap her head around why Sasha would be wearing the necklace, but he says the jeweler told them it wasn’t an uncommon design. Sasha would have no reason to think it belonged to Nina’s daughter. Nina says, that’s not the point. Why did she wear that design? It can’t be a coincidence. He says she can’t do anything now; Sasha is in the middle of an interview. He’ll call Carly to see if she knows anything. He calls, but says, it’s going straight to voicemail. While he leaves a message for Carly to call him right away, Nina gets in the elevator.

Lucy tells Carly that she can’t stop Sasha. She can’t shut down the interview. Maxie agrees, and Carly says, Sasha is having a wardrobe malfunction, but Maxie says, she looks fine. Sasha says that’s how her habit started growing, and Jackie asks her to describe how taking the drug made her feel. Sasha says when she felt lost or lonely, one hit made her problems disappear. Until it wore off. Then she’d have to do more. The more you take the more you need to get high. Valentin notices the necklace, and Nina comes in.

Sonny says he and the trooper met before, when the hiker found him. The trooper says, when Sonny claimed not to know who he was. He said his name was Mike, and he didn’t remember anything else, but had two people who would vouch for him. Then he realized, Sonny was another stray. Phyllis says Sonny is staying with them, but he didn’t mean any harm. There’s no reason to charge him. They’ll take responsibility for his actions if he’s released into their care. Lenny says, they will? and Phyllis asks if the trooper doesn’t trust them. The trooper says he knows Phyllis’s word is her vow, but be careful who she trusts. Lenny walks the trooper out.

Jackie asks Sasha to tell the viewers about her heart attack. Sasha says she went to the restroom, and sampled a new batch. She doesn’t know if it was too strong or she did too much, but her heart felt like it was exploding. It was crazy, but what’s crazier is, she thought she might be dying, but the other part of her brain was scrambling to come up with an explanation. Valentin notices the necklace on Sasha.

Curtis says Portia wants to do surveillance with him at a rundown club? She says, it might be less conspicuous if he’s half of a couple, and it sounds like he could use the company. He says he doesn’t think it’s a good idea, but she asks if they’re not friends. She knows he’s going to work things out with Jordan. He says he hopes so, but they don’t seem to be making any progress. Jordan is pushing him to come home, but he doesn’t want to give her false hope. They can’t paint over it and move on. Portia says, he does want to work things out, doesn’t he?

Britt tells Peter, she doesn’t care. No one threatened him. She has a mind to call the PCPD, and tell them that he manipulated her to get access to Franco’s medical records. Jason says, obviously, it’s her call if she wants to let Peter slide this once, and Britt says Peter might not grasp the concept of accountability, but it’s her butt on the line. It’s against the law to publish someone’s medical records without permission. Jason asks Peter if there’s any way it can be traced back to Britt, but Peter says he’s a professional. He covered his tracks. His sister will never take the blame for his actions. Britt says, fine. She won’t come forward with what she knows – this time. If it happens again, family or not, she’ll not only throw him under the bus, she’ll be driving it. She leaves, and Peter thanks Jason, who says, they’re not friends. Peter says maybe they can be allies. He knows as much as Jason dislikes him, he hates Franco even more.

Curtis tells Portia, he does want to work things out with his wife. He loves her very much. That hasn’t changed. She says, but something has, and he says he doesn’t think he can get past the lies. She says, she’s not defending Jordan. The secret she kept about Taggert damn near destroyed Trina, but being realistic, she also lied to Curtis, and when she confessed, he was gone before she had a chance to make things right. He seems to have a hard time with people who keep secrets. He asks if she’s saying it’s his fault, but she tells him, she’s saying relationships are a two-way street. They get in the elevator.

Sam asks what Franco means by put down, but Elizabeth tells him that he’s said enough. She suggests they go home, and Franco doubles over, hearing Peter’s voice say, be Drew Cain. Dante runs in, and at the same time, Alexis grabs the syringe from the examining table. She runs over to the chaos, and stabs Dante with it by mistake.

Alexis backs up, horrified, and Sam asks what she’s done. Dante falls to the floor, and Elizabeth asks if he can hear her. She tells him, stay with her, and Alexis says she’s so sorry. Sam asks what she was thinking, and Franco glares at her.

Curtis asks if Portia doesn’t think everyone should be honest, and she says, in a perfect world, of course (🍷), but people aren’t perfect. He’s never lied? He says, when he was using, but he holds himself to a higher standard now. She says, everybody lies. If they didn’t, he’d be out of a job. When the pain isn’t so raw, maybe he can find forgiveness for the people who’ve hurt him. They come out of the elevator, and see the turmoil around Dante. Portia runs over, asking, what happened? Elizabeth says, Alexis stabbed Dante with a syringe. Jordan gives them instructions, and asks Dante to stay with her.

Jackie says, even though Sasha almost died, she was more focused on covering up? Nina tells Valentin, that’s her daughter’s necklace. She starts to move forward, but he grabs her arm, and says, don’t. They’re on national TV. Sasha says she couldn’t admit she had an issue, and Jackie says, they’re about out of time. She thanks Sasha for sharing her story. As she said, hopefully, since she was brave enough to tell them, it will help someone. Sasha thanks Jackie for allowing her to share her side, and Jackie turns it back to GMA. Maxie tells Lucy, their social media is probably blowing up; she’ll go check. Nina approaches Sasha, and says, how could she do this? Sasha knows how much the necklace means to her. Sasha asks what she’s talking about, and realizes what she’s wearing. She says, oh my God, and Nina asks how she could be so heartless. Carly nearly has apoplexy.

Sonny says Lenny and Phyllis are two of the best. Waking up one day, and not knowing who he is, he couldn’t have picked kinder people in the world to help him out. The trooper didn’t know what he was talking about. Lenny asks why Sonny took off; he had a job with them. Sonny says he’s grateful, but he heard them talking about him. They said something was wrong with his brain. Phyllis tells him to go upstairs and clean up; he’s been out all night. Sonny says he just needs to go someplace where they’re willing to listen to him. Lenny says, they might be kind, but they have limits. He’s more than willing to call the trooper back. Sonny needs to take care of himself. Sonny says, all right; he’ll wash up. He goes upstairs, and Lenny says Phyllis knows he loves how big a heart she has, but she’s gone too far. Mike – if that’s his real name – helped them out, but they’ve more than repaid him. If it’s a mental issue like she suspects, he could be dangerous and not know it. Phyllis doesn’t think he’s dangerous, but he does need help. Lenny says he knows how she works to help every person she can is her way of doing penance for the private adoption. She feels guilty for giving that woman’s baby away.

Nina asks Sasha why she chose to wear the necklace. She thought Sasha was owning up to her mistakes; not compounding them. Sasha says she has no idea why the necklace was put on her, and Jax pulls Nina over to him. He says, the cameras are off, but it’s not a good idea to do this in public. There’s still a reporter here. Jackie says, don’t stop on her account, and Willow says, Chase is driving her to the hospital to sign forms for the nursing program. Does Jackie want to come with them? They’ve barely had a chance to talk. Jackie says she knows they’re trying to distract her, but she’ll take any excuse to spend time with her son. Willow tells Sasha, good luck, and Jackie leaves with Willow and Chase. Nina says the reporter left, and she’s still waiting to hear why Sasha is wearing the necklace. Sasha says wardrobe picked out her accessories. She didn’t even see it until Nina pointed it out. She has no idea why it was chosen. Valentin says, Carly might, and they all look at Carly. Valentin gives a small smile, and I laugh.

Portia says Dante’s pulse is racing and thready, and his breathing is shallow. Do they know what he was injected with? Sam says, the syringe is on the floor, pointing to it, and Portia says, no one touch it. She needs a full analysis of what’s in it. Elizabeth gets on the phone and calls for a security lab tech; there’s been an accidental injection. Sam asks Alexis what she was thinking, and Alexis says she was trying to protect Sam. She thought Franco was going to hurt her. Sam says she came out of nowhere, and Alexis repeats that she thought Franco was going to hurt Sam. Sam says Alexis can’t take the law into her own hands. Can she honestly say if she was sober that she would have picked up the syringe? Alexis cries.

Valentin says, Nina was very concerned. She tried to get the interview shut down. Carly says she knew what Nina was thinking when she saw the necklace, but Valentin says, it looked like she was serving her own interests. Nina says she can’t hear any more lies. She trusts Carly to tell her the truth. Does she know where the necklace came from?

At the hospital, Jackie tells Willow, it’s commendable of her switching careers. Willow says she hasn’t given up on teaching. Her goal is to combine nursing and teaching in some way; teaching nursing students, or starting a health program at the school. After she works hard. Jackie says, Chase never mentioned that she was so ambitious. She likes it. She’s learning something new about Willow all the time. Chase says, him too, and Jackie says, it’s not a bad thing. It keeps the relationship fresh. Chase’s phone rings, and he steps away to take the call.

Britt asks if Jason wants to tell her what happened. All he’s been doing is warning her not to trust Peter, and now he’s defending Peter? Jason says he thinks it’s safer if Peter thinks she’s his ally, and Britt says, it makes sense. But she doesn’t need protection from Peter, Cyrus, or anyone else. There are plenty of people who would say she needs protection from him. She leaves, and Jason hears Chase say, Dante was attacked at GH? He’s heading to the first floor.

Phyllis tells Lenny, when she took that baby girl to Florida all those years ago, she had no idea Madeline was conning her. She thought she was helping Nina. Lenny says he knows that, and from what she told him, Nina understands. Phyllis is too noble, and keeps wanting to balance the scales. It could backfire this time. Sonny comes back down, and thanks them again for handling the trooper. He’ll get out of their hair real soon. Phyllis says they promised to be responsible for him. If he doesn’t stay there, he’ll be tossed in a jail cell, and he can’t make bail. If he’s going to stay there, there will be some conditions. Sonny says, which are? and Phyllis says she wants him to come back to the clinic, and speak with a mental health specialist who volunteers from time to time. (Could that be Doc?) She doesn’t have a lot of experience with psyche patients, but she knows enough to recognize the symptoms. It seems he may be having some sort of mania. Sonny smiles.

Nina says, if Carly knows, she has to tell her, and Avery says, it’s hers. She gave it to Sasha. She didn’t mean to make Nina mad. It was for good luck. Nina tells her, no one is mad. Can Avery tell her where she found it? Avery says, outside where mommy took her to the cabin. Valentin looks at Carly. Lots of looks going back and forth today.

Curtis sees Jordan at the hospital, and he asks if she was called there to investigate. She says, dispatch sent a detective, but she was close by, and decided to have a look. Apparently, there was an assault. He says he arrived after the fact, but Alexis stabbed Dante with a syringe full something. Jordan asks if she was drunk, then says, sorry. Forget she asked. She’ll wait for the report. Can they please not do this; small talk and pleasantries? Can they have an actual conversation? They’re both entitled to their feelings about what happened about what she kept from him. He can’t keep them in limbo forever. It’s been over a month. If he wants to work it out, they have to try. She needs him to come home. That, or tell her to stop waiting. She tells him, she deserves that much, and walks away.

Portia says, Dante was injected with a near lethal dose of lidocaine. They’re looking at a toxic infusion, and he needs a liquid infusion stat. Someone asks if there will be lasting damage, and she says, his pressure is bottoming out. If they don’t start the infusion, they’re going to lose him. Jason sees Franco, and says he heard someone was attacked. Franco says, Dante; it was an accident. Alexis was trying to kill him, and Dante got in the way.

Alexis sits on the stairs, and Sam shakes her head. Chase joins them, and says he received a report about an attack on Dante. Do they care to shed some light on it? Alexis says, she didn’t mean it; it was an accident. Chase asks if Sam witnessed the incident, and she stammers. She says she doesn’t know what happened; it was so fast. He asks her to tell him what she remembers. She can tell him there or at the station. Dante is in bad shape, and she’s a witness. Sam says she saw the whole thing. Her mother stabbed Dante with a syringe when she was trying to attack Franco.

Britt tries to do some paperwork, but her hand starts to shake.

The alarms go off next to Dante, and Portia does chest compression on him. She says, come on.

Franco tells Jason, if it weren’t for Dante, he’d be a dying man. Jason asks, why? and Franco says there’s long list of reasons why Alexis would want him dead, but Jason says, no. Why did Dante sacrifice himself for Franco?

Alexis says she knows what Sam is doing, and Sam says she’s saving Alexis from herself. If today wasn’t rock bottom, Sam is scared for Alexis’s life. She’s sorry, but it’s time for Alexis to pay some consequences. Alexis asks if Sam wants her to go to jail, and Sam says she wants Alexis to sober up. If she’s in jail, she’ll be able to.

Jordan asks Chase what the story is, and he says Alexis’s attack on Dante was confirmed by her daughter, and Jordan says, that was brave of Sam to do. They’re going to have to bring Alexis in. Jordan reads Alexis her rights, while Chase cuffs her. Jason and Franco watch as Alexis is led away. Jason looks at Sam with longing.

Sonny says, Phyllis thinks he’s crazy? He’s some kind of maniac? She says, not at all. It’s a medical term; racing thoughts and little sleep, along with bursts of energy. She’s sure they can help him out at the clinic, but he says, no way is he getting his head shrunk. Lenny says, those are the conditions. Go with Phyllis and get checked out. If the doctors say he’s fine, so be it. He needs help, and he can get it. If he can’t go along with the conditions, Sonny will deal with the trooper instead. It’s his decision. What is he going to do?

Jackie tells Willow, she knows they’re still figuring out what’s next. She hopes she’s not overstepping. Willow says, overstepping doesn’t seem to be a problem for Jackie, and Jackie admits it’s not. She wants Willow to know how much she cares about her, and that she’s happy Willow is giving Chase a chance to make things right. They get in the elevator.

Michael says it’s time to get Avery home, and asks if Sasha wants to go. Nina says, before Sasha leaves, she needs the necklace. Sasha says, of course (🍷), and gives it to her. She swears she was so focused, she didn’t notice them putting it on her. Carly tells Jax, she doesn’t know if she left the real necklace at Windymere, or the duplicate. Nina promises Avery that she’ll return it right away, and thanks her for finding it. Avery leaves with Michael and Sasha, and Nina tells Jax that Avery found it in the woods. If it matches the one she’s wearing, that means it belonged to her daughter. She looks hopefully at the necklace in her hand.

Tomorrow, Nina wonders if the necklace is her daughter’s, Sonny wonders why Lenny and Phyllis care about a complete stranger, Mac tells Alexis there’s no justification for her actions, and Olivia says please tell her Dante is alive.

Southern Charm – The Reunion – Part One

Madison said she never went in thinking anyone would have her back, but if someone came for her, she would the last word, and they all knew it. It’s not like this one is the brightest bulb in the box, and pretty girls are a dime a dozen, so I don’t get why everyone seems afraid of her. BTW, Kathryn is a blond now.

Andy said Kathryn didn’t look pregnant, and that’s because she’s not. He said she almost had another Ravenel baby, which she clarified was with 2 l’s. Leva’s restaurant business was alive again, and Craig has officially been declared a pillow magnate. Andy asked who took the virus the most seriously, and the consensus was Leva. A viewer asked Kathryn if she was glad to have an excuse to social distance, and she said, absolutely. We saw a clip of Whitney sharing a bottle of scotch with the guys, but making everyone sit 20 feet away from each other. There were also clips of Austen and Craig on Tik Tok during quarantine. Craig said Madison was busy sleeping with married men. particularly an ex-MLB player, but Madison denied it. She claimed they’d only DM’d, and both Craig and Austen called her a liar. Craig said she’d FaceTimed with the guy when she was right next to him.

We saw a clip of Madison on Watch What Happens Live, talking about Craig’s girlfriend Natalie. While Leva (who was also a guest) said she thought Natalie was wonderful, Madison said Austen had slept with her, and it was too close to home. She told Craig he’d been in denial, but Craig said she brought it out in a disgusting way. He said Madison weaponized everything. More pearls of wisdom from Craig. Andy said he’d met Natalie when he was hosting Love Connection; she’d been a connection. Craig said Austen had introduced them in Aspen, and Madison was a trash human. She was a sociopath who’d tried to gaslight Natalie. Madison produced the usual receipts from her cell phone, and read a text where she’d apologized, saying, she hadn’t meant to hurt them. She said she had a folder for all of them, reminding me of Cruella de Vil. Craig said she deliberately tried to hurt people, and she told him to have a thick skin and quit running his mouth. Call me trash one more time… He said she was trash. She’d thrown away ten years of friendship, and he was never speaking to her again after today.

Shep said he was ready for battle. Andy said he’d been a bit of a lost cause, but with a new girlfriend and a therapist. Rose was less thorny. Shep talked about writing a book: Average Expectations: Lessons in Lowering the Bar. I do like the title. Andy asked who could have predicted Shep being in a serious relationship, and that was a nobody. Shep said it was an adjustment, but had happened organically. Taylor had refused to give him a reason to run away, and they’ve been together a year. John’s advice was not to take her for granted. Kathryn though Shep was calmer, kinder, and a better listener. He was a more nurturing person. Andy asked what set Taylor apart, and Shep said he sees every day what a good person she is. Andy asked if he’d been faithful, and he stumbled a little, saying, they’d had some hiccups. There were text messages, and he’d kissed a girl, but that’s all it was. It was a moment of weakness when he was drinking. He’d also texted an old flame. Austen said Shep finally took an honest look at himself, and decided who he wanted to be with. Leva thought they were romanticizing cheating. John asked what if Taylor did the same thing, and Shep said he would ask to talk about it. Andy asked Madison if it was hard not to take pleasure in Shep’s relationship drama, but she was there for the apology tour. Andy asked what Shep had learned in therapy, and Shep said to ask himself if he was happy today, and not project. He was trying to be present.

The topic of Shep making fun of a homeless person on Instagram was brought up. John said he told Shep to take it down, and sent Shep a documentary about people who collect cans, but Shep brushed it off. He said it was funny, and that’s all he cared about. Shep said he was drunk, and in a bad headspace. Afterward, he met his parents in Alaska, and when his dad confronted him, he broke down, Andy asked if there was peace between him and Madison, and they said there was, but Austen said they weren’t friends. Madison told him to shut his Muppet mouth, and I was like, ugh. I don’t like Austen all that much, but I think he’s just immature. Madison is just plain mean; a POS wrapped in a pretty package. Shep asked at what point Austen was culpable. Why would Madison let him go when he was cheap labor. Austen said he’d have his time.

Craig’s career ambitions, or lack thereof, were discussed. Andy said Craig’s pillow success must be tough for Shep to swallow, but Shep said he supported Craig and his pillows. We flashed back to times Shep dogged Craig, and Andy gave him he opportunity to eat crow. Shep said he wanted Craig to prosper beyond his wildest dreams. He’d come further than all of them. Craig said they were able to survive during quarantine, and did a quarter million dollars in sales in November. Shep asked if he could borrow some money. Craig said he was opening a brick and mortar store next to Leva’s restaurant. He wanted to do kitchen stuff, and John suggested a Craig body pillow. We flashed back to Patricia saying her pillows luxury, while Craig’s were affordable. Craig said Patricia’s pillows went for $20, while theirs went for $58, which is more than I’d pay for a Craig pillow. Madison said he was nasty, but he said the truth only seemed to hurt Madison. Kathryn thought Patricia was wrong to throw shade at a younger person coming up.

Andy asked Leva what the best part of her experience was, and she said, getting to know everyone better. She and Kathryn had their ups and downs, but she got to know the good parts of her. They all had good hearts, and were good people; she enjoyed them – in doses. Andy asked what the worst part was, and she said when she felt like no one was hearing her. Viewer Francoise viewer asked her to spill the tea about Charleston night life, and she said Shep had to be ushered out of the bar. Shep thought it was a great way to leave. There was a finality to it. Kathryn said the first time she’d had a love connection with Thomas was at Republic. She told Lamar to watch Kathryn. Craig said they’d let Kathryn get pregnant by a 52-year-old man. They didn’t do a good job. Andy asked what other firsts there had been at Republic, and John said he’d kissed Kathryn there. He still couldn’t get the lipstick out of his shirt. Leva said she wouldn’t spill the tea though. It was an industry thing; they were all protected. Andy said she’d talked about being an outsider, and she said interracial couples were more common now. Shep thought Charleston was progressive for a southern city, and Leva agreed. She talked about getting in a car accident, where she’d hit another car. She said the guy got out, and his first question was, are you illegal? Geez, you’d think it would be, are you all right? That’s the usual first question. She said he asked if it was even her car. She also had a guy say he didn’t want her Yankee money when she was trying to buy property. Andy said there had been a lot of Tweets about her son being named Little, and she said his name was Lamar Alfred Bonaparte III. In the South, thirds are usually called Trip or Trey (wow – I learned something new), but it hadn’t fit. When Lamar would change the baby, he’d say he was big Lamar, and their son was little Lamar, and that stuck.

Andy asked about Leva’s relationship with Cameran, but Leva said it wasn’t there anymore. They’d been close, but she hadn’t heard from Cameran. There was no bad blood though. Andy wondered if Cameran was upset about Leva doing the show, and Leva said she assumed Cameran didn’t want to know about it. Craig said Cameran loved doing it, and Kathryn said Cameran was given an offer to come back right up until yesterday. Craig thought Cameran was regretted not doing it, but Shep thought he was wrong. She liked being part of the group. Danni said Cameran liked control in her life, and regretted not being part of it, but… and Kathryn said Cameran made the decision to leave before anything had happened between them. She hadn’t made up the rumor about Jason cheating, and she thought Cameran was inauthentic and fake. She used Kathryn when it was to her benefit. Craig said he knew there was no truth to the rumor, but Kathryn hadn’t made it up. Cameran was all gung-ho with him and Shep to do the show, and at the 11^th hour, decided not to. No one knew why, which was really weird, especially since no one believed Jason had cheated either. Leva said there were rumors about every one of them, and she was surprised it was taken seriously. She said she never repeated that stuff, and always kept it real. Kathryn told Leva that she’d said hurtful stuff, and even made fun of her voice. Leva agreed it was low, and apologized. Kathryn said Leva distorted her narrative.

Next time – the conclusion of this messiness – a bathroom break, Madison talks about her mommy makeover (too bad she can’t get a personality makeover), Leva wishes Austen would stop popping off like a baby, John tells Craig to never mention his kids, and Shep asks if Madison is threatening him. Looks like a good time.

🏖 The horrible people from Summer House are back. Now I like this show even less because I’ve grown to like Hannah Berner on Chat Room, and I’m embarrassed that she’s on it. Last summer was a bust here, but apparently, a new season was filmed in the Hamptons. Tonight’s episode reflected on the past four summers, and gave a preview of the new season. Yep. They’re just as awful.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Curtis punches the heavy bag, when a guy asks when he’ll be done. He says, 15 minutes, and the guy tells him that he said that 15 minutes ago. Curtis gets angry, and calling him dumbass, and telling him, he already said when he was going to be done.

Jordan has tea with Anna at the MetroCourt. Anna says, it’s long overdue, and Jordan says it’s not too late for Anna to change her mind about a bridal shower, with all the trimmings. Anna says she’s sure Jordan would do a bang-up job, but she prefers the lowkey approach.

Jackie goes the reception desk at the hospital, and says she’s there for Sasha’s medical records, telling the nurse that Sasha called ahead with her approval. The nurse says everything seems to be in order, and gives her the file. Finn sees Jackie, and asks why she needs Sasha’s records. She says, not that it’s any of his business, but she’s doing an interview with Sasha. Finn asks if she finds that necessary. Everything isn’t a story. Haven’t Sasha and Chase’s lives cost them enough?

At the MetroCourt, Chase tells Sasha that he’s having second thoughts about her doing an interview with his mom. Sasha asks, why? She enjoyed meeting Jackie; she’s great. Chase says, she’s also known for her tough questions. Has Sasha really thought through going public? She says she knows what she’s doing, and she needs to let Michael and Willow know what’s coming their way.

Willow tells Michael, it’s a strange concept. Once they file the papers, their marriage will have never existed. They both know that’s not true. He says, it’s a legal maneuver so you don’t have to worry about dividing up property. They took so much time making the decision, it never occurred to him to think about what the next step would be; separate lives and separate living spaces. She says it’s time for her to start thinking about moving out, and he says, it’s the next logical step. She tells him that she has an appointment to look at an apartment.

Nina tells Jax, she and Carly will never be best friends, but she respects any woman who fights for the people she cares about. She’d do the same. Jax says he really appreciates how clearly Nina sees things. She recognized Valentin’s agenda for what it is, and also understands that Carly being in trouble is a difficult trigger for him to ignore.

Bobbie says she doesn’t blame Ava for being angry. She loves her daughter, but at times Carly is her own worst enemy. However, Bobbie has no doubt the two of them can be the adults in the room. Ava says, an adult perspective; how refreshing. Bobbie says, the surest way to get Carly to dig in her heels is to confront her directly. Ava can’t go after her daughter.

Carly sneaks into Avery’s room, and immediately sees the necklace, placed conveniently in the dollhouse. Carly says, she’s so sorry, but Avery will never know the difference. She looks at the necklaces, and starts to put one back, but hears a noise, and drops them. Nikolas asks if she’s looking for something.

Curtis wants to start a fight with the guy, but Portia tells him, stop it. Let the man use the bag. She asks Curtis what this is about. It’s not like him to fight over trivial things. He says he doesn’t feel like himself nowadays. It was a tough week. She asks how she can help, but he says she’s a doctor, not a mind reader. She says she’s a friend offering to help. Talk to her. What’s going on? He wonders what kind of P.I. he is, when he can’t even tell when his wife is lying. It’s the very nature of his job. The objective is to get the truth, no matter how many people want to keep it a secret. Jordan has lied many times, but for some reason, he missed the clues. Portia says, that’s because he’s looking at Jordan from the point-of-view of a husband, not a P.I., and he says he had this crazy idea that couples confide in each other. Jordan has lied so many times – about her health, her past with Cyrus, TJ’s kidnapping – at some point, he realized her first instinct will always be to lie. Portia says she doesn’t know, and he says he doesn’t either, but what he does know is, he’s not okay with it anymore. He needs something to change.

Anna tells Jordan, she’s been thinking about words for her and Finn that mean something. She’s done the traditional vows before, and learned the hard way that they don’t always apply. Does Jordan have any ideas? Jordan says Anna shouldn’t come to her for marriage advice. She’s barely holding on to her own marriage.

Willow tells Michael, she wants the transition to be as smooth as possible, and he says he doesn’t want Wiley to feel like he’s missing out on anything with them not being together. Before she moves, they should take turns putting Wiley to bed separately, and having separate rituals. He says, not that it’s not a great idea, but they can still tuck Wiley in together. She says, of course (🍷); it’s settled. Now she’s off to look at apartments. She leaves, and Michael ponders.

Nikolas asks if Carly minds explaining herself, and Carly says she and Ava had a disagreement. She came up there to cool off, and was checking out Avery’s dollhouse. Nikolas says, right. She can explain herself to Ava. He takes the necklace from her, and she sees the other one on the floor.

Bobbie tells Ava, she knows Carly is trying to be strong for the family, but her husband has been presumed dead. She’s a wreck inside. While most people would want to curl up, Carly’s instinct is to come out fighting. Then there was the shock of Ava taking Avery. Ava says, it shouldn’t be a shock. Avery is her daughter and belongs with her. Bobbie says her point is, Carly overreacts on a good day. Now she’s hurting and defensive. Nikolas comes back with Carly, and says he found Carly in Avery’s room looking for this. He holds out the necklace, and Ava says, really? Well, well, well. Bobbie had no interest in being the adult in the room. Ava knows this con; Bobbie was the distraction. What she doesn’t understand is, why all this fuss over a little girl’s necklace?

Sasha arrives at the Quartermaines, and tells Michael, surprise. She should have texted, but it couldn’t wait. She hopes he and Willow have time to talk. He says, Willow is running some errands, and she says, then she’ll tell him, and he can tell Willow. She’s doing an interview with Jackie Templeton on national television. He says, it will be great PR for Deception, but what does it have to do with them? She says, the interview isn’t about Deception. She wishes it was that simple. The rumors about her drug use and hospitalization are circulating, and she thinks the best thing is for her to tell all on camera. The interview is about her overdose, and what led up to it, including the lies she told.

Jackie thanks Finn for his vote of confidence, but she didn’t go after Sasha. Chase asked her to do it. They want to get Sasha’s version out to the public before it’s torn apart. She called in some favors, and they’re doing GMA 3 tomorrow. Finn asks if Chase explained the origin of the problem, and she says, how they staged an affair to push Michael and Willow together to assure Michael got custody of his son. He says, when they came up with the plan, he tried to talk Chase out of it, but he was so determined for Wiley’s sake. Finn begged Chase to tell the truth, but he wouldn’t listen. She says, wow. His view of telling the truth has evolved. When he was Chase’s age, it wasn’t so black and white. He guesses he’s matured. He doesn’t take things at face value the way he used to. She asks if that’s supposed to alarm her, and he says, no, as long as she didn’t lie about who Chase’s father is. She asks if he really wants to get into this now; maybe it’s too late. He tells her not to do that. He just wants to talk. She’d told him that Chase is his brother, not his son, but the dates don’t add up. Did she do a DNA test? She says, no, and he says, so she never ruled out the possibility that Chase is his son. He guesses she’s not the only one who doesn’t want to know the truth.

Willow comes into the gym, and Chase says, it’s good to see her. She says, him too, and he asks if Sasha found her and Michael. She says she hasn’t seen Sasha, and he says Sasha must have just missed her. She was determined to find them before tomorrow. Willow asks what she’s missing, and he says, Sasha asked his mom to conduct a tell-all about everything she’s been going through. Willow says, that’s brave of Sasha to expose herself like that, and Chase says, Sasha doesn’t want negative attention brought to Wiley’s adoption. Willow tells him that she and Michael actually signed the annulment papers. They’re still Wiley’s parents legally, but they’re no longer husband and wife. He doesn’t know what to say. He knows they were talking about it, but why now? She says they agreed it’s time. They both need to see what’s on the other side of their marriage.

Nina tells Jax, when you’re married to someone, and become close, you find yourself repeating the same patterns. He promises he’ll be more judicious regarding when Carly actually needs him. She has a tendency to overreact. Nina says she’d never fault him for being a good guy. Look at them; all alone, no one around, no one to rescue. However will they fill the time? Jax says he has a couple of ideas, and they hug.

Carly says she was planning a surprise for Avery until Ava derailed it, and had Josslyn give her the necklace. It occurred to her that she could borrow it, and continue with the surprise. Nikolas asks, what surprise? and Carly says, it’s no deep dark secret. They know Avery loves Donna, so she was going to have a copy of the necklace made, to connect Sonny’s daughters. Bobbie says, it’s a lovely gesture, but Nikolas asks Ava if she’s buying this. Ava says, of course (🍷) not.

Ava says she knows how important the necklace is to Avery, because it connects her to Sonny, and Carly knows if it went missing, Avery would be frantic. She doesn’t think Carly would do that. Nikolas suggests Carly would think faster if he called the police, and Bobbie says, that’s rich. He’s threatening Carly with the police for borrowing a necklace. Ava asks if she doesn’t know the difference between borrowing and stealing, and Carly asks if they call snooping in a dollhouse a criminal offense. Nikolas says she was wandering around without permission, which is trespassing, and Carly asks if Ava remembers the time she was searching Morgan’s room for his medication to replace it with a placebo. Nikolas faked his death, and blamed an innocent man for murder. Ava tells Carly to get out of her house, and count herself lucky that Avery loves her.

Jordan tells Anna that Curtis was beating himself up about Taggert, and Trina gave him hell for failing to save her dad every chance she got, and she said nothing. Anna says, it must have been hard to stand by and watch him suffer like that, and Jordan says, there’s plenty of suffering to go around. Curtis was devastated when he found out Taggert was alive. It might have been okay if it was the first time, but it was the latest in a series of lies. And not just about police business. She lied about being sick, and she lied when TJ was missing. The lie about Taggert seems to be the last straw. Curtis has had enough.

Portia says Curtis told her that he wants a change. In what way? He says he’s over P.I. work. He’s sick of trafficking, and all the lies. She suggests he look at it from a different angle. What would he do for a living if he wasn’t a P.I.? What if he hadn’t left law enforcement? He says he thought he’d collect his pension, then do something different. She says, picture a future alternate universe. Who does he see standing by his side? He says, Jordan, and she says, he seems to have already decided what he wants to change, and he’s not willing to give Jordan up. He thanks her, saying, she was always a good listener.

Michael tells Sasha, he’s watched Jackie’s interviews, and she can be brutal. Sasha says, Jackie is tough, but fair. She wants the real story, not a sanitized version. Sasha wanted Michael and Willow to hear it from her first. She’ll do her best to keep them out of it. She doesn’t want to tarnish the life their building together. Michael asks if Sasha can pretend, because he can’t, and she says she could never deny how important they were to each other. About what happened after… He says, she and Chase pretended to have an affair. Chase knows the history, and he can’t imagine Jackie would dig deep if her son was involved. She says, if Jackie does, she wants him to know she’ll protect Willow and Wiley. He says he knows it’s hard, but whatever comes out in the interview, he’ll take care of Wiley. As far as Willow goes… They signed the annulment papers. It was a mutual agreement; they thought it was time. The point is, he and Willow will be okay. What he wants to know is what she’s doing to protect herself. Going public and taking accountability, isn’t she afraid it will send her back to a dark place? She asks if he’s worried she’ll start using again, and he says, is she?

Willow comes into the gym, and Portia says she heard Willow is starting nursing school. She thinks it’s a terrific idea. If Willow needs anything, or help with her courses, let her know. They need dedicated nurses at GH. Willow says she’s excited about it, and Portia leaves. Chase says, she’s going to nursing school? and she tells him, teaching there made her start thinking about the next step. Maybe pediatric nursing. He says, good for her, and she asks if he doesn’t think it’s a good idea. He says he thinks it’s fantastic, but he’s so out sync with what’s going on in her life. He had no idea she was contemplating big changes. She says she thinks it’s time for a change, but has so much more to sort through. He says, with all the changes and sorting, he hopes there’s room for him. She says, her too.

Jackie asks if Finn really wants to have this conversation there now, and he says, sure; why not? He steers her to an examining room, and closes the door. She says, the location doesn’t matter; the conversation is irrelevant. Chase was born over 9 month after they slept together. There’s a remote chance he came late, and Finn could be his father. Technically it’s possible, but it’s more likely Chase was conceived after her wedding with Gregory. He asks if she doesn’t want to know for sure, and she says, what she does know is, when she told Gregory, he was over the moon. They spent time together, and built a life, falling deeper in love. He asks if it doesn’t bother her, and she says, not in the slightest. Finn disappeared from their lives. The baby grew to adore his father, and his father adored him. Chase is a man now, and loves his father, and Finn has a big brother who loves him. That’s all there is. Finn says, it matters to him.

Curtis gets take-out at the MetroCourt, and Anna tells Jordan that she thinks there’s something she’d prefer more than them getting a massage. Jordan asks what it is, and Anna says Jordan’s husband is picking up dinner. She thinks what Jordan is missing with him is more important. She tells Jordan, go over there; fight for him. She knows Jordan is scared she’ll be rejected, but she won’t know until she tries. Jordan says, wish her luck, and she goes over to Curtis. She says, please. She loves him. Please don’t shut her out.

Jax answers the door to Carly and Bobbie. Carly says she needs to talk to him now, and Nina says she’ll get some coffee. Carly and Bobbie come inside.

Michael says he’s not asking Sasha because he’s judging her, but because he cares. He still worries about her. She says she knows he’s not judging her, and it would be silly not to be honest with him. The first thing she was taught in drug abuse class was, even when they make the decision to quit, the desire doesn’t go away. She admits she still feels the pull, but she doesn’t act on it. She’s dedicated to counseling and sticking to the program. She, Maxie, and Lucy worked so hard to get Deception off the ground, and she almost single-handedly tanked it. She’s determined to live up to her promises, and doesn’t want to disappoint the people who gave her a second chance. He says, talking to him took guts, and he wants her to know that the people who know her, like him, are rooting for her. He thinks she’s going to make it through this and come out the other side.

Anna sees Finn and Jackie, but doesn’t make herself known. Finn tells Jackie, he deserves the truth, but she says he got more than he deserved. Chase is happy, and his brother loves him. He says, it’s not enough, and she says she has other priorities. If he thinks she’d take a DNA test behind Chase’s back that could potentially unravel his world, Finn can go straight to hell. Jackie gets into the elevator, and Anna approaches Finn.

Nikolas brings Ava a martini, and asks if she’s sure she wants to do this. She says she’s not doing it for Carly’s sake. Like it or not, Avery loves Carly. Avery just lost her father. She can’t cut Carly, Josslyn, and Donna out of Avery’s life; it’s not good for her. Sonny is gone, and can’t threaten her. Carly has to come to her for access, and she’d do well to remember that, hold her tongue, and not throw Ava’s past mistakes in her face.

Nina gives Bobbie some coffee, and Bobbie says she’s being gracious. Bobbie knows how it must look; them just showing up like a house on fire. Nina says she’s not threated by the bond between Jax and Carly. She’s impressed with Jax’s loyalty, and if he’s a source of comfort in Carly’s time of grief, she’s not going to stand in the way. On the terrace, Carly tells Jax about trying to switch the necklaces, so they weren’t a match. She says, then Nikolas walked in, and she doesn’t know if they have the right or wrong one. He asks why she’s telling him, and she says, it’s one complication too many. Sonny is missing, and presumed dead, and Cyrus is a threat. If Nina finds out Nelle was her daughter, it’s more than Carly can handle right now.

Michael takes Sasha’s hands, and she jumps up. He tells her, good luck. He’ll make sure to let Willow know. He says, even if he hates that she’s holding up her private life for public scrutiny, he’s not ashamed of having loved her. She says, she appreciates it, tells him goodbye, and leaves.

Anna says she walked in on quite the moment. Is Finn okay? He says he assumed Jackie got a DNA test on the baby, but she seems to think it would hurt Chase. That’s the last thing he wants to do. She asks what he’s going to do, but he doesn’t know. He’s spent almost 30 years believing something that may or not be true. Now he needs to know for sure if Chase is his brother or his son. He needs to know the truth. Will she help him get it?

Willow comes back, and says she has news to tell Michael. He says he has news too, and she says she ran into Chase at the gym. Sasha is doing a TV interview with his mom. Michael says he heard it from Sasha. She stopped by to give them a heads up. She’s going to do everything she can to make sure they’re not in the story, and focus on her drug abuse and subsequent recovery. Willow asks if he’s afraid of the story going to press, but he says he’s more worried about Sasha putting herself up to scrutiny. Willow agrees, and says, it’s gutsy for her to expose herself. He says, she’s hoping to help someone with the same issues. Willow says she hopes so too, and Michael says he’d hate to think it would backfire in her face.

Jordan tells Curtis, one night. Just them. No fighting; just them, being. They need to remind themselves of what they had. He says he’d like nothing more than to be lost in her; absolutely lost in their love. Because loving her is like breathing. She says, so he’s coming home with her? but he says, no. He can’t go with her. It’s killing him not being able to trust her.

Bobbie says, respect and understanding each other is the foundation of any lasting relationship, and Nina says she feels the same way. Bobbie says she can assure Nina, Carly respects their relationship too. She’ll never have to worry about Carly coming between them. Carly tells Jax, Ava looked so mad. Josslyn told her that Ava took the necklace, and she thought this was something she could fix. She should have known better. Not because she couldn’t switch the necklaces, but because it’s Ava. When she sees Ava, she thinks how Morgan would still be alive if not for her. Sonny is gone, and there’s so much loss. Jax says he’s worried about her, but she says she’s fine. He says, don’t give him that. She’s the most resilient person he’s ever known, but grief like that isn’t good. It’s not poetic, and he senses it’s blinding her and impairing her judgment. She says, that’s how she feels. Like she’s poking around in a fog, and he says, the next time she feels like tangling with Ava, call him first, and get a second opinion. She agrees, and they hug. Carly cries.

Nikolas says, Carly always has an ulterior motive. Isn’t Ava curious? Ava says, no. For once she’s not convinced about Carly’s motive. Carly is on the outside looking in, hungry for a few hours with Ava’s daughter. Ava has everything she needs right there; her beautiful little girl, and her very handsome husband. She doesn’t have to care about Carly. They hug, and Ava looks at the necklace in her hand behind his back.

Tomorrow, Michael says he doesn’t want Willow going anywhere, Jackie asks if the interview is still on, Nina asks if it’s damage control, Peter tells Dante that he’s about to earn his salary, and Obrecht says they have to act.

🐎 Since The Real Housewives of Dallas was rerun at 10:30, I could have conceivably watched it, but, Big Sky. IMO, it’s one of the best shows on TV, especially on one of the used-to-be big three networks. Tonight started their new season, or the second half of the first season, or whatever they’re calling it. I call it excellent. I’ll give a mini-cap of Dallas later in the week, although I did see the second half. For some reason beyond my comprehension, D’Andra took a wig on a stand with a face along on a girls trip. It actually seemed a little creepy. Even more so when she put a face shield on it. And can someone please tell me who these Chrisley Knows Best people are? Why do they have a TV show, and why does it seem to be on all the time? They’re cute and all, but I don’t get it.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

🖥 All I have to say is, don’t buy an HP. I have no idea what happened last night, but I finally decided to shut the computer off and back on, and it seemed like the problem was that it wanted to do an update, but wasn’t telling me that. Everything just stopped working. This thing has been a pita from the jump, and every single computer nerd I’ve talked to since I got it has said they’re horrible. Too bad I hadn’t talked to them before I got it. Moving on…

General Hospital

Elizabeth tells Franco, don’t try to play dumb, but he says he has no idea what she’s talking about. He’s been lying to her since when? She says since he’s been having secret meetings with Jason.

Jason pops into Britt’s office, and sees her looking at an article about Peter. He asks if she’s doing research, and she asks if he’s always this nosy. She wants to know more about her brother. Growing up, she had no idea he even existed. He asks what she found out, but she says, nothing yet. She’d barely started before he barged in with his questions and concerns. First, he tells her that she’s a horrible person; now, it’s Peter. He says he never told her she was horrible, but he wants to warn her about Peter. Peter is dangerous, and could turn on her without giving it a second thought.

Dante meets Maxie at Kelly’s, and asks how she’s feeling. She says, aside from having to pee every 30 seconds, she’s okay. He asks what their mysterious meeting is about, and Maxie says she had news that couldn’t wait she wanted to share with him. Peter joins them, and asks if she shouldn’t say they have news.

At the MetroCourt, Finn says, can Anna believe it? Before they met, he never had a cup of tea. She says she believes it, and he says he was missing out. This is a damn fine cup of tea. She asks if he’s mocking her, and he says he’d never do that. Not while she’s sitting there anyway. He’d never mock tea. She says, not if he wants this to work, and her phone rings. He says, if it’s Maxie, tell her they eloped and they’re on their honeymoon. She says, if only, and he says they can still do that, but she says, it would break Maxie’s heart. She just wants to get away, and enjoy the evening, and he says, what a coincidence; he does too. Finn’s phone rings, and she says, if it’s Maxie, tell her they eloped. He says, it’s Alexis, and she tells him to take the call. Alexis asks if he can come over, and he says, now? She says she really needs to talk, and he says he’s on his way. Anna asks if Alexis is okay, but he says he doesn’t know. He hopes this means she’s going to get help, and she tells him, go help his friend. He asks if she wants to walk him out, but she says she’s drinking tea. He wonders what he was thinking, and says he’ll see her at home. She looks at her phone and sees a text from Valentin, saying, we need to talk about Dante.

Doc sits down with Anna, and says he was going to return her message tomorrow, but they’re both there now. Anna says she needs some insight.

Olivia says Ned accused her of cheating with Robert in Monte Carlo while Brook was recovering from having her throat slashed. He says he knows how wrong he was, and apologizes again for jumping to conclusions. Tracy says, it was a terrible time for everyone, and Olivia holds up her hand. She says Ned begged her multiple times to forgive him, but there was so much more to forgive, wasn’t there? She’s so stupid. She was sick with worry when he didn’t come home. She thought he was face down, dead in a ditch. Meanwhile… She says she’s going to ask him a question, and he’d better tell her the truth. What happened between him and Alexis?

Alexis thanks Finn for coming, and he says he’s glad she called. She says she doesn’t know where to start, and he says, a meeting might be a good place. Isn’t that why she asked him to come? He asks if it has nothing to do with her sobriety, and she says, it does and it doesn’t. Valentin just left. He got Martin to fight the DWI for her. Finn says, and? She says, and he’s going to argue that Tracy is to blame for her driving drunk. He says Tracy was trying to help her, but she says she’s not so sure about that.

Tracy says, Sam is there for Leo’s celebratory dinner; it’s not the time. Olivia says she’s glad Sam is there. After all, it’s her mother they’re talking about. She thinks Sam deserves to hear the truth. Tracy says, tonight is about family. She doesn’t think Leo should wait any longer, so she’ll go get him. Olivia says if Tracy takes one step toward her child, she’ll knock her out. Tracy asks what’s gotten into her, and Olivia says, don’t try to make her feel crazy when they’ve been lying to her. Tracy says, there’s no evidence of that, but Ned tells her, stop. This ends now.

Doc says he has to commend Anna. The last time she needed something from him, she broke into his office. Calling ahead and asking to talk is progress. She says she’s grateful for his help. This time she doesn’t need access to his research material, but she needs his expertise. She’s worried about Dante. Since he returned to Port Charles, he seems off. She tried to find out about his medical treatment from the WSB, but there was a complete blackout. She thinks the WSB is using him for their own ends, and disregarding his mental health. Doc asks what Dante says, and Anna says, he told her that he was fine. He’s trying to act like his old self, but something is missing.

Peter brings Maxie a hot chocolate, and she tells Dante she would have waited for him to order, but… He says, the baby wants what she wants when she wants it. Maxie says, she’s going to spoil the baby, and Peter says, so is he. Dante hears, complete the mission, in his head, and Maxie says, hello? He says he was thinking about the last time he had hot chocolate, and Maxie says, as he knows, they’re having a girl. He says he can see their both over the moon, and Peter says, most definitely. Maxie says they’re hoping it’s okay with him if they name the baby after Lulu.

Britt tells Jason, let’s do it, and he says, do what? She says she’s heard from her mother ad nauseum about how awful Peter is, but she doesn’t trust Obrecht, not even a little bit. So far, Jason seems honest, so do the honors, and tell her who her brother really is. Jason says, okay, and sits down. He says he’s going to do it in order, not the way he discovered it, and she says, whatever floats his boat. He says, Peter was under Faison’s orders to facilitate the memory transfer between him and Drew. The plan was that when it was finished, Peter was supposed to eliminate him, but Peter didn’t kill him. Peter put him in a Russian clinic, and drugged him out of his mind. Britt says, Peter saved his life, and Jason says, that’s what Peter claims, but he thinks Peter was keeping him on ice, waiting for the day he could point him toward Faison and have him take Faison out. And that’s what happened. Britt says she’s aware Jason delivered the fatal shot, and she doesn’t blame him. He says, Peter has a plausible excuse for everything, but there’s always another objective, an underlying motive. She says, so the time came when he would kill Faison, and Jason says, the next part happened five years later. He finally figured out how to escape, and made his way home. They came after him, wanting to take him down and bring him back, but if that wasn’t possible, kill him. They went so far as to kidnap Sam. She asks who they are, and he says, the doctors at the clinic, but underneath, Peter was pulling the strings. She says, it didn’t work; he’s still there. He says, the doctors took the fall, and Peter was in the clear. Sound familiar? That’s what happened to her mom.

Elizabeth asks why Franco went looking for Jason, and Franco says he wanted to tell him the tumor was back. Elizabeth says, Franco was keeping it a secret, and thought he’d tell Jason? and Franco says he thought Jason could help him take care of it. She asks what that means, and he says if he starts reverting to his old self, Jason could help him out. She says Jason hates him. He’s more likely to kill Franco than help… Oh my God; that’s it. He asked Jason to kill him.

Doc asks if Anna has seen any indication that Dante could lose control, and potentially be a threat to Rocco and Charlotte, but she says, it’s nothing like that. Although Valentin is concerned about Charlotte. That’s why she started looking into it. If Dante is still suffering from PTSD, it’s an undercover problem more than a domestic one. Doc asks if she got any information from the WSB, and she says, only Dante’s doctor’s name, Warren Kirk. Doc says Dr. Kirk’s death was a shock, and asks if she’s learned any more about it. Was he targeted or was it an act of random violence? She says, the police say the latter, but she doesn’t believe it for a second.

Britt tells Jason, so her brother is the evil mastermind, and got off scot free. Then what? He says Obrecht started acting strange, and he found out she had a son with Faison who she was desperate to protect and was searching for. She says, Nathan, and Jason says, but she called him Henrik. Peter planned on killing Anna at the pier, but he showed up. Peter played on his guilt once again, and everything went away. Whether he really had a good relationship with Anna or he was playing her, it was another restart. Britt says, enter Maxie, and Jason says, yes. She and Peter started dating, and Peter built a nice life, until Shiloh came along. He had a past connection with Drew and Peter, and obviously knew something. He got busted and went to prison, and mysteriously escaped, taking Sam and two other hostages. Guess who showed up at the pier with $50K? She says, her brother, and he says Peter claimed to be buying an apartment, but come on. Shiloh knew something, and Peter was desperate to cover it up. Drew knew too, and had a plane crash. Franco and Andre were almost murdered, and it was stopped by Peter, who killed the gunman before he could talk. Peter is responsible for everything, but her mother took the fall, and Maxie will end up paying the price.

Franco tells Elizabeth, if he deteriorates, Jason will take care of it if he gets crazy or dangerous. She says, and Jason gets to decide? He asked a man who despises him to kill him if he’s acting some way he doesn’t like? It’s suicidal. He says, it’s his choice, and she says, it breaks her heart that he doesn’t get it’s their choice.

Peter tells Dante, they’ll call her Lu for short, and Maxie asks what he thinks. Dante says, it’s beautiful. He thinks Lulu would have loved it. Maxie says, when she wakes up, she will love it. She asks if he’s really okay with it, and he says, more than. He’s happy for them. Maxie asks how he’s doing, and Dante says, pretty good. He thanks Peter for the job again, and Peter says he’s glad it’s working out. She asks how Rocco is, and Dante says, hanging in. He tells them that he’s going to grab a coffee, and goes to the counter. Peter flashes back to Franco saying Drew’s memories are coming back, and Maxie says, it’s not going well. Dante is refusing to open up. Peter says it’s probably because he’s there; he should go. She needs one-on-one time with Dante, and he has work to get done. She thanks him, and says she loves him, and he says he loves her too. He leaves, and Dante comes back. He asks, what happened to Peter? and she says, he had something to take care of. Dante says, too bad, but she says, now she gets him all to herself.

Ned tells Olivia, he’s so sorry. He and Alexis slept together. It was just one night. It was a stupid mistake. Olivia says, which he chose to keep lying to her face about. He says he wasn’t protecting himself; he knew it would never happen again. Olivia says, then, no biggie, but he says, it is a big deal. He can see how much he’s hurting her, and he hates that. She asks why he didn’t tell her, instead of keeping his dirty secret, and he says he didn’t want to hurt her. She asks if this is where she’s supposed to say thank you. What he did was awful, but not telling her was worse. He says he was in a terrible place. He’s not excusing himself, but telling her where his head was at. Brook heard she’d spent the night with Robert. Olivia says, that’s not true, and he says he knows that now. He jumped to the wrong conclusion, drank heavily, and it was a recipe for disaster. Sam says he was drinking with her mother, an alcoholic?

Finn says Tracy didn’t want Alexis behind the wheel. That’s why she drove. Alexis ask if that sounds like Tracy, and he says, she does have a heart. She says she knows Tracy is his friend, but she wasn’t driving drunk. He tells her, Tracy says otherwise, and she asks if he remembers the night she cut herself. Something was nagging at her. Tracy’s version of the events wasn’t the truth. He says, say she’s right. Why would Tracy lie? She says, exactly. That’s what she’s trying to find out. They were at the MetroCourt, and Tracy pulled her away from Olivia, saying she wanted to catch up. She flashes back to telling Tracy that Olivia should know about her and Ned, but she had no intention of breaking up their marriage. She remembers Tracy saying that she was drinking, which leads to loose lips, misjudgments, and blackouts. Can she say there’s ever been a time when she had no recollection of what happened? Alexis tells Finn, it makes sense, and he says, what? She says, Tracy pulled her away from Olivia because Tracy thought she was going to tell Olivia that she’d slept with Ned. Tracy didn’t want Olivia to find out. He says, so she forced Alexis to drive, and put her own life in danger? Alexis gets up, grabs her coat, and heads for the door. He asks where she’s going, and she says, to the Quartermaine’s. She needs a car. He says he’ll drive her, and she asks if he’s sure. The truth is there, and she’s going to find it.

Ned says he was far from sober, and Olivia asks if he thinks that makes it less horrible. They’ve been married for four years, and he still doesn’t trust her. He spent his life in this house, with these liars and cheaters, surrounded by infidelity. He’s incapable of trust. He apologizes, and asks if they can talk in private. Alexis and Finn walk in, and Alexis says, no one is going anywhere until she hears the truth.

Elizabeth says Franco has no regard for the people he’d be leaving behind, and he says, all he could think about was, if he did anything to hurt them… She says, they’re not there, and probably never will be. He says, then he’ll tell Jason to stand down, and get on with his life, and she says, what about their life? The tumor has been diagnosed as fatal, but regardless, he’s still there, and she wants to spend every moment with him. Don’t rob her of that. He deserves a family by his bedside, helping him through his final days, which she hopes isn’t for a long time. Why does he want to throw that away?

Doc tells Anna, Kirk’s assistant told him that there was space in Kirk’s schedule. He was referring his patients to other doctors. She wonders what was taking up his time, but Doc has no idea. She tells him, what say they find out, and smiles.

Maxie tells Dante, it was everywhere; on every surface that could absorb marker. Thank God they were washable markers, or she would have put up James for adoption. He says James sounds like Rocco at that age. It didn’t matter how angry he was, if Rocco started laughing, he’d be laughing with him. Rocco doesn’t laugh anymore; maybe once in a while. Maxie says, it will happen more as time goes on. They’re still playing catch-up. He says Rocco is like a whole new kid, but Maxie says Rocco is still his son. He asks if she thinks Rocco is angry because he left, and she asks, does he? He says he doesn’t know. He thinks Rocco is confused, and a little resentful, and Maxie says Dante didn’t walk out on his family. He left because he wanted to protect them. He asks how she does that, and she says, what? He says, see the good in people. and she says, it’s easy when it’s right in front of her.

Jason tells Britt, now Maxie is pregnant, and about to marry Peter. Meanwhile, her whole life is a lie. Peter is now pretending to be a good guy, while he’s covering up, but he can’t sustain it. There are loose ends, and it’s going to eventually implode, with Maxie having the most to lose. Britt says, so how much is genuine concern for Maxie, and how much is hate for the man who kept Jason locked up for five years? She doesn’t believe Jason is that altruistic and immune to revenge. He says he doesn’t want revenge; he wants Peter stopped. She asks, what about Anna? She saw Peter pull this stuff, and covered for him? He says, Anna sees what she wants, and part of him gets that; she’s his mom. The question is, is Britt going to see what she wants to see, or see the truth? Peter walks in.

Franco says he doesn’t want to die, and Elizabeth says, then fight. Don’t ask to be put down like an animal. He says he got hope from a doctor, and went to tell Jason about it. She asks if he thinks Jason understood, but he says he doesn’t know. By the time Jason showed up, he wasn’t feeling well, and she says Sam told her he had a bad headache. He says he’s feeling better, and Elizabeth grabs her coat. He asks where she’s going, and she says she’s going to put an end to this.

Dante tells Maxie, he hates seeing Lulu lifeless; it’s the opposite of what she was. Maxie says, is. Does he want to go to visit her together next time? He says, that would be great, and she says he still doesn’t like Peter, does he? Where is that coming from? She thinks it would be easier if Dante talked to Peter. When Peter was there, they barely spoke. Now he can’t shut up. That’s why Peter left, to give them time together. Peter is a good guy, and about to be her husband, and a father to little Lu. He tells her that he said he was happy for them, and he means it.

Peter says he can come back another time, but Britt says, Jason was just leaving. Jason goes, and Peter asks if he was bothering her. She says, nothing she can’t handle, and he says, the guy is a bully. If he’s harassing her, Peter wants to know. She asks if he’s being a protective big brother, and he says, better late than never. She says if she needs back-up, she’ll let him know. She asks if everything is okay with Maxie. What brings him by? He says he was looking for her. They haven’t had a chance to spend time together. She says she’d like to get to know him better. Should they fire off 20 questions? He says, it’s not the best way to start a relationship, but… She says, uh-oh, and he says he needs a favor.

Tracy says Alexis is drunk, but Alexis says she’s seeing quite clearly. Finn says, she’s sober, and Tracy asks what he’s doing there. Alexis says he gave her a ride, since she doesn’t have a license. Sam thinks it’s not the best time, but Alexis doesn’t care. Tracy set her up. Sam says she knows; she believes Alexis. Tracy says, that’s absurd, and Ned asks, what’s going on? What did she do? Alexis says, Tracy lied; like they did to protect his marriage. Sam says, Tracy framed Alexis so it would look like she was behind the wheel. Tracy asks if she’s going to take the word of a drunk over hers, but Sam says, it’s not just Alexis’s word. They have proof.

Ned asks for someone to explain, and Olivia says they gave his mother the benefit of the doubt. At the time, she thought Tracy was her friend, and just trying to help. Ned tells Alexis that Olivia knows everything, and Alexis says she’s so sorry. Olivia says she doesn’t want to hear it now. She tells them, Tracy said she took Alexis home, and was going to make coffee, and when she was in the kitchen, Alexis snuck out. The security system proved they never got back to the house. Sam says, they called the company, and the system was armed from the afternoon Alexis left to go to the MetroCourt, and disarmed the following day. Alexis says, when she got home after her night in jail. Sam says, which means Tracy’s story isn’t true. Tracy says, fine; she lied. She drove the car to the side of the road, and put Alexis behind the wheel – with great difficulty, she might add – and called the police. Ned says, what the hell? and Tracy says, no one was in any danger, and she thought Alexis would go to rehab and get help. Alexis says Tracy doesn’t give a rat’s ass about her well-being. Tracy didn’t want her around them.

Doc thanks someone on the phone, and Anna says, he got the file? He says, they know him there. He asked if they could email the records. His phone dings, and he says, and here they are. She says, that was fast, and he says, according to the file, Kirk had exactly four patients in the last six months. Anna says, he used to have more? and Doc says, over the years, he’s had at least two dozen. Anna says, it sounds like more than downsizing, and thinks he was working off the books, maybe with Dante. She asks if Dante’s file is in there, and Doc says, it should be there. He scrolls, and says, it is. Let’s see what’s in there.

Dante says it blows him away how strong and resilient Maxie is. It doesn’t matter how many times she’s knocked down; she gets up. He’s seen it again and again, especially after Nathan’s death. She says Peter was there for her, but he says, something in her hangs on to hope. He admires that, and wants to emulate it, but he’s not doing a good job. She says she thinks he’s doing a wonderful job. When he’s unsure, come to her, and she’ll remind him how utterly amazing he is. He says, his personal cheerleader, and she says she’ll even get pompoms.

Peter tells Britt, he needs information for an Invader article, and she asks what she can do. He says, log in and walk away. She says, that’s a big ask. He won’t even tell her what he’s looking for? He says, it’s better if she doesn’t know. It could help secure him a position as a major publisher of a newspaper. She says, okay. She’s trusting him not to get her in trouble. He promises, and she says she’ll be back in ten minutes. She logs in, and leaves. Peter sits down, and starts typing.

Dante tells Maxie, sorry if he’s standoffish. It’s hard to see Peter with her. It will take some time. She says, that’s okay, as long as he keeps trying. She can’t stand to lose him as a friend, and he says, she won’t. He’ll be there for her, Georgie, and James. That’s a promise.

Doc looks at Dante’s file, but it’s heavily redacted. He says he doesn’t think they’re going to get much, but Anna disagrees. She had a hunch, but now she knows for certain. Otherwise, why the secrecy? She asks if Kirk’s assistant said anything else, and he tells her, have at it, handing her the phone. She looks at it, and says, whoa. One of his other patients was Obrecht. She shows him the file.

Finn says he’ll give Alexis a ride home, and she thanks him, but thinks there’s more that needs to be said. Sam asks if she’s sure about this, and Alexis says she may not have driven drunk, but she has to face what she did do. Sam says she’ll get a motion going to have the charges dropped. She’s so sorry she doubted Alexis. Alexis says she hasn’t given Sam much reason not to lately. Sam leaves, and Alexis asks Olivia if they can talk. Ned says he and Olivia need to sort through some things first, but Olivia says she’d like to talk to Alexis right now. It’s way overdue. Alexis nods, and Ned leaves.

Tracy starts to go upstairs, but Ned says she’s not going anywhere.

Peter hears footsteps, and Britt comes back in. She says she changed her mind. She doesn’t care how harmless it is. She can’t let Peter dig around. He says he understands completely. He’s sorry to put her in that position. She says she’s sorry she couldn’t help him, but he says he’ll find what he needs another way. He says he’ll see her later, and leaves. In the hallway, we see he has a flashdrive in his hand. Sitting at the laptop, Britt says, he can erase the history, but let’s see if this works. Franco’s file comes up, and she wonders what Peter wants with Franco Baldwin’s medical records.

Franco hears Peter’s voice saying, please be Drew Cane. He wonders what’s happening to him.

Jason punches the heavy bag at the gym, when Elizabeth walks in. She asks if he’s having fun. She called the warehouse, and they said she could find him there. He says they could have met at the house, but she says she’d rather have this conversation alone. He asks if something is wrong. Is it Jake? She says, it’s him.

Tomorrow, Tracy says someone needs all the help they can get, Olivia says the joke is on her, Ned says it’s not about him, Franco asks Scotty to represent him, and Elizabeth asks Jason what his criteria is to kill her husband.

Southern Charm

When we last left, the guys were being given a clue about Kathryn’s remarks. Everyone was eating, drinking, and being merry, and saying things like, olives are great. Shep went canoeing with Taylor, and she rowed, while he slacked off behind her. Whitney showed up, and there were many elbow bumps. In Austen’s interview, he said Madison wanted to see what he would do and how he’d react, but he wasn’t taking the bait. Leva said John had felt it was three against one when the girls approached Kathryn, and Craig repeated what he’d been told about Kathryn to Shep. In his interview, Craig said he couldn’t bee friends with Kathryn in good faith if she runs away from this, or pretends it didn’t happen. Madison wanted to know if Austen was looking, as she posed on a float, but it was a no. Shep and Austen went up in the treehouse, and Madison told Craig that she’d gotten a text from a friend about Austen. They said they didn’t know if she and Austen were still a thing, or if she even cared, but Austen had slept with a girl at her friend’s house. Austen told Shep that he was a good friend. Craig wondered why it mattered to Madison who Austen was hooking up with, which is a really good question. Shep suggested Austen tell Madison that he thought they were in a spot where they could see other people, and also be supportive of one another. Craig joined them, and said he wasn’t trying to start sh*t, but Madison had gotten messages about Austen, and was fired up. Shep told Austen, play it cool or she’ll go nuclear. It’s sad what an a-hole Madison turned out to be, and even sadder that they let her get away with being so nasty. She broke up with Austen. It’s not like he did something to her. (Oh wow. As I was typing that, there was a promo for the reunion, and Austen said he thought it was sad. Twilight Zone music…)

Madison levitated up to the treehouse using black magic, and showed Austen her phone, calling him a beta bitch, and demanding to know who the girl was. Did he think people wouldn’t tell her? Craig and Shep said to let him go, and she told them, zip it. In Shep’s interview, he said Madison was scary. She was always going to keep Austen handy, like a lap dog. They should both do their own things now. Watching from the porch, Leva and Venita wondered if Madison needed reinforcements. Obviously, they don’t know her very well. Craig said their attitudes were bleeding into everyone’s lives. Austen told Madison to stop it, and she screeched that he was a beta, and she was an alpha. He asked what the hell she cared; it was over. She said he was an effing joke, and he said it seemed like she was. Madison finally got on her broom and flew off, and Shep said she was like a wolverine, insulting wolverines everywhere and also Hugh Jackman. He suggested they just walk away. In Austen’s interview, he said Madison wanted to control him, but what he did was his effing business. Shep said it was up to Austen to get out of the hole. Back at the porch, Whitney picked up his guitar. Luckily, both Leva and Venita weren’t about to climb up a ladder to the treehouse, so they stayed out of it. I love how they only consider it outnumbered if it’s the guys doing it.

John said he missed his kids for the millionth time. In his interview, he said he thought it was the right decision to come to Charleston. His kids had an incredible summer with dad, and it left him feeling like could do it, but also respectful of their mom. In Kathryn’s interview, she said it had been devastating, and asked if she should just accept this label. Friends didn’t abandon you when you made a mistake, but her friends weren’t there. There were fins in the water, and a huge debate over whether it was a shark eating a dolphin, or dolphins having sex. It turned out to be the latter. Leva, Madison and Danni grouped together, and Shep said he believed Kathryn was joining them for dinner. Leva said she thought Kathryn needed to be accountable, and not be coddled. In Madison’s interview, she said she thought Leva was doing a lot of poking, which was rich coming from her. Shep said everyone was invited into his world. As though on cue, Kathryn arrived, and in his interview, Shep said, what happened, happened, and it didn’t look good. Let someone make a mistake, and learn from it. They all needed redemption now and then. Craig told Kathryn that they’d been watching either an orgy or a feeding fest out on the water.

Everyone sat down for dinner, and Madison made a huge deal about not wanting to sit near Austen, calling him this and trash. Shep said Madison loved control, and was good at it. Craig said if Madison didn’t like him, why did she care? which is the question of the season. Kathryn sat down, and John pointed out that it got quiet. He made a toast, thanking everyone for joining him, hanging out, and being his friends. In Austen’s interview, he said Madison was making it easier to walk away. If John wanted to pursue her, go for it, and good luck. Several of the guests threw blackberries at each other, and Craig announced he’d found fireworks in the house – big ones. Madison told John that he needed a button-down shirt, and Austen, probably hoping to unload Madison faster, took him into the house to find one. Madison asked Kathryn about an article she’d seen about Kathryn and Chleb, saying Kathryn was trying to salvage her reputation by dating him. She said, he and Kathryn had known each other for years, and now they were dating suddenly? Why is this so weird to everyone? I’m not even saying it’s not contrived – I don’t know – but I was friends with my husband for years before we started dating, and think it’s actually a good idea. Kathryn said that was why she hadn’t told people. In Kathryn’s interview, she said she had no reason to shout it out to people who’d clearly proven they didn’t give a f***. Madison said Kathryn needed to address what was going on. This was all a shame, since the food looked fabulous, and I can’t imagine enjoying it in the midst of this drama. Except for Shep. Shep can tune out anything. Leva said the last time she’d seen Kathryn, Kathryn had walked off. She felt disrespected and it had triggered her. Austen asked what the issue was, and Leva said she’d been trying to help Kathryn work stuff out, when Austen called her a bully. In Austen’s interview, he said Leva was still upset, and clearly had insecurities about feeling like a bully. Leva said she found Austen disappointing, and Madison seconded that. Austen ignored Madison, and told Leva that he was sorry he’d said it, and asked if they could move past it. Venita, pulling my how-about-them-Mets? move, asked if they could talk about how good the shrimp and grits was; the cook had crushed it. Leva said all she wanted was for Kathryn to have a dialogue with them. Kathryn told Madison2 that she’d f***ed up, but she’d expected her friends to know her better. Madison2 said, that was the problem. Instead of showing up as the person she wanted to be, Kathryn expected them to understand. Kathryn said she’s made a mistake, but it didn’t define her. Venita suggested she and Madison2 go somewhere more private, where they didn’t feel like they had an audience, and Craig said the treehouse was a good spot.

Up in the treehouse, Kathryn told Madison2, she was confused about the right thing to do. Her intentions were never racist or political. Madison2 said she understood, but Kathryn specifically said the woman needed to stop using her minority claim. Kathryn had to think about what she did to people personally, as well as to the business. Gwynn’s was getting blown up, and people were saying Gwynn’s was racist supporting her. If Kathryn wanted to move forward, she had to acknowledge she effed up, and hurt people. Kathryn asked what more Madison2 wanted her to say. Danni told Craig that she was waiting for her apology, and Craig said when he was talking to Leva on the beach, he’d only heard Kathryn’s side, and that they’d made Kathryn cry. Danni said they needed to have a serious conversation, and Craig said, if he could do it over, it would be different. Kathryn told Madison2 that she’d hoped her friends would know her better, and Madison2 said she couldn’t make excuses for Kathryn anymore. Kathryn said she didn’t think it was necessary for Madison2 to defend her, but thought Madison2 would have had more to say than nothing. Madison2 said Kathryn had to take responsibility, and Kathryn said Madison2 didn’t know what was going on. Madison2 said there was always something going on, and Kathryn asked, then why had Madison2 been her friend if that’s how she felt? Madison said, what about Kathryn? She was playing the victim to the guys, and minimizing everyone else’s feelings. Kathryn said, if she was such a bad person, why be her friend anymore? She was over it. It was bullsh*t, and she wasn’t doing this. Madison2 said she wasn’t either. Shep and Taylor floated in the pool, blissfully ignoring all this.

Madison2 told the others, it went nowhere; they were just talking in circles. Danni wanted to walk on the dock, and asked if Kathryn wanted to walk. She and Kathryn walked out to the dock, and Venita said Kathryn knew everyone was talking about her. They sat down, and Danni asked how Kathryn was feeling. Kathryn said it was difficult to make progress, and Danni said Madison2’s feelings were hurt, but she’d always cared about Kathryn. Why had Kathryn reached out to Leva over the people who know her? Kathryn said she wasn’t overlooking them; she was in her own world, keeping her head above water. Back at the table, Venita said she thought Danni was enabling Kathryn, and Madison wanted to go bother them. Venita said she didn’t chase. If someone came to the table to discuss their wrongs, and own up to them, fine, but Kathryn wasn’t going to do that because she was a child. In Madison’s interview, she said she was sick of all talk and no action. Say it to her face and get it over with. On the dock, Kathryn agreed with Danni, but said she was having a hard time. She wondered how she could manage to pick up where they’d left off. Craig set off some fireworks, scaring the bejesus out of everyone. A little guy with a parachute floated down at the end, which was pretty cool.

Danni told Kathryn that she couldn’t brush off the conflict; it was hurtful. Madison said she’d tell Kathryn the other girls wanted to talk, and she’d bring her to the table to hash it out. Venita was concerned that Kathryn might feel ganged up on, and Craig and Shep were like, uh-oh, as Madison sashayed to the dock. Danni told Kathryn that she’d made some bad decisions, and couldn’t blame the others for being upset. Kathryn said she didn’t want to blame them, and Danni said it seemed like Kathryn felt she didn’t do anything wrong as far as hurting them went. She shrugged things off easily, but an apology went a long way. Here’s where Madison stuck her big nose into things, and asked if she could interrupt, plopping herself in between them. She said she thought it best for Kathryn to speak her mind to the girls, but Danni didn’t think it was a good idea. They were already upset, and it wasn’t going to help. It would just make it worse. Madison said she knew Danni stood with Kathryn. Kathryn was the best friend Danni was ever going to have. I wasn’t sure if that was supposed to be an insult or Danni is just bad at forming a sentence. Danni said she was trying to be honest and diplomatic, and express what needed to be said. She didn’t want Kathryn to walk away, and it had to be done in a way Kathryn could hear it. Madison is such a moron, she said Kathryn shouldn’t be weak and needed to stand her ground, then told Danni it had nothing to do with her. Danni said she was about to smack Madison off the dock, and Madison said she’d like to see Danni try. Me too. I’d actually like to help her. Danni said Madison was a bully, and Madison called Danni a rat. WTF? Madison said all Danni did was s*ck Kathryn’s ass 24/7. Kathryn said that wasn’t true, and Madison said Kathryn needed to tell the girls she was innocent. She was sick of people talking. Kathryn and Danni just sat there, and Madison stomped back to the house, while it started to rain. In Madison’s interview, she said she didn’t kiss Kathryn’s ass; Danni did, and Kathryn walked on her. Danni let her because she had no backbone, and it was hard for her to respect a girl like that. Kathryn told Danni, she didn’t understand what that was, and Danni said she didn’t either. She said, that kind of behavior was what Kathryn didn’t want to be like.

On the porch, Danni sat on a swing, and Danni plunked herself on an adjacent one. She started squawking and pointing her finger at Danni, and Danni said she and Kathryn had been talking. Madison didn’t need to interject. Madison said she wanted to tell Danni why, but Danni said she didn’t care. Danni said a bunch of nonsense, ending with telling Danni to go s*ck Kathryn’s ass like a peasant. Danni wondered what Madison was talking about, and Leva said, that wasn’t supposed to happen. Danni said Madison was a stupid bitch, and Leva said she was just supposed to get them back to the table. Shep popped in and said he’d missed everything. Was everybody happy? Leva said, no, and Kathryn said she and Danni had been in the middle of a serious conversation. Danni said Madison went from 0 to 100, and Leva asked if they were able to finish talking, but Kathryn said, no. Leva said other people wanted a chance to speak with her. She wanted Kathryn to sit and have an honest, vulnerable conversation. John said they were pulling it again, but Kathryn said she didn’t feel bullied. She thought it was time to have the conversation, but didn’t know how. She didn’t know the right way to do a conversation like that. Venita said showing up was the first step, and Craig asked everyone to go inside. John said, let’s all have a moment, for no apparent reason, and Craig urged them to go upstairs. Kathryn asked Danni if she was okay. In Kathryn’s interview, she said she’d stayed quiet because she wanted to just listen, but now she thought she needed to clear her name.

Craig and the girls all sat at a table, and Madison got stupid about sitting at the same table as Danni. Venita said if she could sit there, they could sit down and shut up. She told Kathryn, most Black individuals wouldn’t have this conversation with her, take her by the hand, and walk her through it. Leva said, it wasn’t their responsibility, and Venita said they were tired. Craig said not many people could say they’d never done anything that wasn’t okay, and Leva suggested they start with the problem. Kathryn’s comments were deeply hurtful to her and people she loved. Kathryn said she understood, and didn’t want to offend anyone. Craig said she needed to show vulnerability, and Kathryn said she was sticking up for a cause. The girl was bullying her friend. Venita said there was nothing wrong with that, and Kathryn said she felt the need to defend her. Leva said Kathryn had made digs that were racially motivated, but Kathryn said she hadn’t known who she was talking too. Craig asked, then what did she mean by minority? and Kathryn said she wasn’t sure she used minority that way. Venita said there was no other way to use it, and Kathryn said she had no explanation. Leva said Kathryn had spent her life living in a bubble that’s called white privilege; things didn’t bother her because she wasn’t affected. It didn’t make her a bad person, but a person who lives on that side of the world. That could either wake her up, and she could make different choices, or do what they’d expect from her as a Calhoun. In Leva’s fairytale world, their sons would think it was cool what their moms did. One day they would say, thanks to the different conversations their moms had, they’re friends now. Venita said they could bring Kathryn to water, but she had to drink. Leva said no one owed this discussion to Kathryn, but they cared about her enough to be there. Kathryn said she understood, but wondered how to move forward, and Venita said Kathryn needed to take time to digest the conversation. If she commented on it tomorrow, it wouldn’t be authentic. Kathryn asked how she could show people that she wasn’t a racist, and Madison2 said, do the work. Craig said, the ball was in her court.

Six months later… We saw a picture of Kathryn and Chleb, and Kathryn came out of the bathroom holding a pregnancy test. She looked at it, and put her hand over her mouth.

Next week, the Reunion. Madison tells Austen to shut his Muppet mouth, and makes other equally delightful comments, Leva and Kathryn argue, and John tells Austen not to talk about his kids.

👌 To Their Credit…

Shep and Leva were guests on Watch What Happens Live tonight, and Shep made an excellent comment. He said when too many people hammered you on the head with a point, it might dull the message, and it wouldn’t get through. Leva also said she hadn’t known about the issues Kathryn had, like anxiety, and that running away and hiding was Kathryn’s defense mechanism. It shed a different light on things. Although I thought, on the flipside, she kind of expected Kathryn to be a mind reader, when clearly, they didn’t know each other all that well.

Well, I did watch General Hospital and Southern Charm, but just as I was about to finish up and post, my computer wouldn’t cooperate. My email won’t even work, so I can’t send it to my laptop. So, unfortunately, this will be the first day I’ve missed in, I think, ever. Neither rain, nor snow, nor any ailment has stopped me, yet it looks like I’m having a computer sick day. I’ll be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, stay safe, stay as content as possible, and stay trying not to drop kick your computer out the window.

General Hospital

Southern Charm

John called Shep, who asked if the party was intense; he hadn’t been paying attention. John said Shep and Taylor had been in love jail, but from his point of view, he felt it was a lot of drama for Kathryn. He told Shep that the boys were leaving tomorrow, and he was going to be a mess. He was sad, but Shep had an idea.

At John’s house, he tried to get the kids packed, and asked what they wanted to do for their last day of summer with dad. Summer was coming to a close. They’d spent 43 days in a row with him, the most time they’d spent with him since the divorce. He told them his favorite thing was going to the beach every day. In his interview, he said what he’d miss most was hearing the kids running around when he woke up in the morning. He couldn’t put into words how it felt for his kids to be going back to the other side of the country. He hoped no one ever had to make the decision. He did, and it was the worst thing he ever had to do. He knew it was the right choice though, since he was building a future for them.

Madison visited Austen, who was like, what the hell? She said he seemed somber, and he asked why she was there. She admitted that she’d screwed up getting so mad. She regretted being a bitch, and was upset about her bad attitude. Austen got her a glass of wine, and she said she should have taken a deep breath, been a big girl, and not said anything. It annoyed her that he came off boat, and said he wasn’t there to get her back. Holy! Talk about rewriting history. He said that after she randomly told him he wasn’t going to get her back. He reminded her that she’d said she just wanted him there as a friend, and asked if she wanted him to date other people. She said, no, and asked him if he wanted her to date other people. He said he didn’t, but he’d been clear about how he felt and that he wasn’t over her. He still loved her. Madison said she love/hated him, and Austen said he was confused. She told him that he didn’t have her permission to date anyone else, and in his interview, Austen said he was seeing more and more that what Madison wanted was control. He told her, there was no resolution. I don’t even know what to think about this. Madison is coming off like a real asshat, and it’s a shame they’re in the same friend group.

We saw a clip of Shep and John going to one of those places where you smash stuff, and Shep said it was like Office Space. Shep told Danni that John was going through turmoil with the kids leaving, so he was having a party at the house of John’s friend on the island. Which island was unclear, but it had a dock and a pool. He told Danni that he and John had both hung out with Kathryn independently, but she always said the right things. He’d been weighing the options, and wanted to have everyone at the party. Danni said she’d hit her breaking point with Kathryn, and thought Kathryn knew it. Kathryn claimed she wanted to fight for the friendship, but Danni didn’t feel there was anything to fight for. Shep said he wanted the party to begin on a positive, fun note, and for Danni to bring her best attitude. Danni said he didn’t have to worry about her.

Kathryn opened a soda can using her teeth, and I wanted to scream at her not to do that. Her friend Jacque called, and Kathryn said she was shopping for Thomas’s new baby, who’d been born a month ago. She wondered if she was related to the newborn, and Jacque said Kathryn’s children would be his step-siblings, but she wasn’t related at all. She told Kathryn that she’d asked Madison about the party, and Madison said, call Kathryn. Kathryn said the party turned into a catastrophe, and we flashed back to that. She said she felt like all her friends were seeing her as someone she wasn’t, or were making her out to be someone she wasn’t. In Kathryn’s interview, she said the only person to whom she owed an apology, was the women she’d sent the emoji to, and she did that. She was getting death threats, and needed her friends, but no one stood up for her. She felt betrayed, manipulated, and taken advantage of. Jacque said it was really effing sad.

Craig went rowing with Natalie in a gorgeous swamp that had all those plants that hang down. In his interview, Craig said he felt like a teenager again. He didn’t know if he’d ever fall in love again like he did with Naomie. He and Natalie hadn’t said I love you, but he thought she could be the one. They saw an alligator while they were rowing, which was very cool, and then they had a picnic near the water. The whole thing was very romantic. Natalie said, a good way to get to know someone was to lock them in a house during a pandemic, and Craig wondered if they’d be fine outside of quarantine. Natalie told him, people were finally focusing on things that really mattered. Craig said, it was scary, but fun, and in his interview, he said he’d made a promise going into the relationship that he wouldn’t hide anything. Then, with her having to move in, he didn’t have a choice. She was all about him being him. He thought it was badass that he sewed, and cool that he cooked. We flashed back to Naomie criticizing Craig, and they toasted to their relationship.

Leva and Danni private shopped for dinner dresses. The manager asked what the theme was, and Leva asked if it wasn’t redneck. Danni said it would be redneck chic; they would define it. Leva asked Danni, what the hell happened? and Danni said it was like she was in another dimension, and she and Kathryn didn’t resolve anything. Craig only added to it. Leva said she didn’t know why Craig treated Kathryn with velvet gloves, and went in on Danni. She didn’t appreciate it. Danni said she felt like she owed no one her time, and told Leva she’d gotten a call from Jacque, who said Kathryn thought Leva was trying to convince the others to hate her. Danni said it was classic Kathryn, not looking deep enough to care. Leva thought it was out of Kathryn’s depth, which she might be right about. Danni said when she thought about what Kathryn did, she was like, f*** you. Leva said Kathryn spun the narrative, and made her a bully, when she felt she’d gone out of her way to be gracious. We flashed back to the argument on the boat, and Leva asked Danni why they were coddling someone who’d said something so viciously racist. They had to be uninformed.

Austen got a call from Alexandra, and old college friend. In his interview, he said she made him laugh, and gave good advice, and we saw a clip of Alexandra helping him pick out clothes. She asked how his birthday party was, and Austen told her, long story short, he was uninvited. Let that sink in. He said he went anyway, and had to field shots and jabs from Madison, who was being mean. Alexandra thought Madison got mean when she felt backed into a corner, and she hated hearing how sad it made him, and how much anxiety it gave him. She told him that he didn’t stick up for himself. It was a blessing when people showed their true colors. Austen said he was being forced to move forward. Madison had proved her point of how little he meant to her. In Austen’s interview, he said it was time for him to re-find happiness, and move on in life.

Everyone got ready for the party, and in this show, the guys definitely take just as much time as the girls with their hair. Well, maybe not Shep. John went with Shep ahead of time to help set up. It was raining while the sun was shining, and Shep said it didn’t make sense.

Venita had a kiki with Madison, and Madison said Austen wasn’t cool with just being friends, yet she wanted him to notice her in a big way. WTF? The only time that would be acceptable is if he’d broken up with her. She told Venita about an article she’d read on Kathryn’s new boyfriend Chleb, that said it was a plotted relationship. Venita said you couldn’t help who you loved, being the level-headed young woman that she is, but Madison wondered if the timing wasn’t weird. In Madison’s interview, she said her advice to anyone in a relationship was, don’t listen to her. She put on one of the tiniest dresses (or was it a bathing suit?) I’ve ever seen – a barely there halter top with a fringed mini skirt – and said she didn’t want to get back with Austen, but he could look. Again, WTF? I don’t particularly like Austen. I think he’s immature, and wants the big boy stuff before he’s ready, but Madison is officially acting even less mature, and I’d thought better of her. She is mean too, although she’s admitted that, and John was certainly put off last week.

John said he was happy for Shep, and asked if Shep was in love with Taylor. Shep said, of course, like we should all just know that after all the women he’s gone through, and John asked if he told her. He said, only when he was really drunk. John asked what Shep was getting her for Christmas, but Shep said he wasn’t that guy, and John told him that he was going to lose her. In John’s interview, he said the house belonged to a friend of his parents. Y’all come over. Take a dip in the pool. Have a few cold ones. Leva was impressed, and I have to insert here, how much I’m always impressed with Leva’s earrings. She seems to be like me; the bigger and bolder, the better. She told Shep that she didn’t have a problem with Kathryn, but she didn’t like how Austen had butted in. She felt the boys were coddling Kathryn. She didn’t believe in cancel culture, not believing it leaves room for growth, but thought people should be held accountable (thank you). In Shep’s interview, he said, you don’t ruin someone’s life for a mistake. He was once in a similar situation. We saw a clip from Tik Tok of him making fun of a homeless person, and he said he showed a complete lack of self-awareness. He hoped Kathryn changed her ways, but didn’t expect anything from her. John told whoever would listen that he missed the boys. Leva pressed Shep about putting the pressure on Kathryn, but he told Leva that he didn’t know what she’d said, and he didn’t want bad blood with anyone. In Leva’s interview, she said, it doesn’t affect you, so you’re just going to go party, was the definition of white privilege. She told Shep that she expected him to hold Kathryn accountable, but he said he was trying to get out of the holding accountable game.

Madison and Venita brought a Funboy pool floatie as a party offering. Craig wondered if Danni would hug him, but she backed up when he approached her. John told Madison that his kids said the number one fun thing they did was hitting baseballs with her and her son. Austen wondered why no one was in the pool. He offered John one of his personal beers, and they walked off together, Austen ignoring Madison, but making a point of hugging Jenny. Madison couldn’t tolerate that, and hunted him down, asking him what was going on. He’d come in and ignored her deliberately. In Craig’s interview, he said, Austen and Madison’s relationship is just bizarre. Why do either one of them care? Austen asked if anything pissed her off more than not getting all the attention. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Leva told Craig that she didn’t appreciate Austen yelling on the boat. Craig said, it was an intimidating ferry ride. She said, Austen thought he looked chivalrous, but his chauvinism was showing. John said Kathryn had looked like a deer in headlights, and Leva said she thought she and Kathryn had a positive conversation, but John said, it was three on one. We flashed back to that, and John told Leva, coming at someone over and over, right or wrong, isn’t going to get you the response you want. Leva asked if they were even aware what happened; it wasn’t just about the emoji. Leva gave him the low down on what Kathryn had said, and Venita told him, Kathryn even had the nerve to ask if the woman knew who her father was. In his interview, Craig said he was blown away. It made sense now, and it was bad. He told Leva that he’d been Kathryn’s protector, but she couldn’t make excuses for her behavior anymore. It made people think, maybe she did mean it like that.

The Real Housewives of Dallas

Yes, I know this is way past it’s time, but this was the soonest I could watch it. There are just too many Housewives for me to juggle these days, but here’s a mini-cap of the highlights.

Tiffany told Brandi about how difficult it had been, not knowing any English and immigrating at 6. The racism she’d experienced was beyond, and just the other week, someone had asked for a doctor who didn’t have coronavirus. The sad little girl was still inside her. She wanted to have an open dialogue, and use the moment for her and Brandi to educate each other. In her interview, she said it was America in 2020. We could do better.

Kameron was annoyed that Cord was shielding her from what was going on with selling the house. She told Cord to protect her from burglars, not her emotions. Not being included made her feel invisible. They put up a For Sale sign that she was sure would spur neighborhood gossip. She wondered if Louie’s spirit would come with them when they moved, and at that moment, I kind of got why Cord felt the need to keep details to himself. Kameron put a tiny pink tutu on Fancy, who is the most precious thing in the world. Except for my dogs.

Tiffany gave D’Andra and Stephanie a tour of her house, which the word impressive doesn’t even come close to covering. In her interview, she said, she and husband Daniel have their own wine label, and she showed them a literal wine cellar. Like a cellar under the cellar. Her closet had a fingerprint lock, and in Stephanie’s interview, she said the only room worthy of that was the bathroom. She thought Tiffany showing off her closet was obnoxious, but Tiffany said she planned on being buried in her closet when she died, so isn’t it her crypt as well? Tiffany wondered about Kary being so pushy, and wanting Tiffany to have her kind of fun, and Stephanie said when Kary was drunk, she acted like the fun police. It was nothing personal. Tiffany told the women that she was going to have a dim sum party, which was similar to brunch.

Kary said it was great having the kids home during quarantine, but it got to the point where the main goal was trying not to kill each other. Thank you, tequila. In Kary’s interview, she complained about D’Andra complaining to her. Before quarantine, they’d been traveling together; D’Andra to sell her skincare line, and Kary to sell her jewelry.

In D’Andra’s interview, she talked about having had good relationship with stepmother and brother, until there was a family fight over the will when her father died. She wanted to reach out, and Jeremy suggested she write a letter. She’d also been seeing a Shaman, who was helping her with her chakras or whatever.

The party was at a restaurant in a private room. Tiffany explained Dim Sum was like Spanish tapas, and she was sharing part of herself with them. Kary felt the need to out Stephanie and Kameron for not eating street food in Thailand, and Kameron said it was because she hadn’t had her typhoon [sic] shot. This was seriously my kind of food, and I desperately wanted to reach through the TV and grab a dumpling. Not so much a chicken foot. Tiffany gave out red envelopes, like the ones given out on Chinese New Year. Instead of money, each one had a question inside that she thought would help her get to know the others better. She pressured everyone to eat a chicken foot (shades of Pedro’s mother on 90 Day Fiancé), and in Stephanie’s interview, she said, in her house, they didn’t eat chicken feet, but they did eat chicken nuggets. She also said it was the most disgusting thing she ever ate. In D’Andra’s interview, she said chicken feet had a lot of collagen, and the Chinese ate them to keep youthful. I guess no one has told her they have smoothie additives for that. TBH, I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to food, but I think it would be a hard no on the chicken foot thing. Tiffany acted like a total a-hole, pressuring everyone heavily, especially Kameron. In Kameron’s interview, she said, had it been her party, she’d never push a food on someone that they didn’t want to eat. Kary said Tiffany was really bossy with food, which was funny since they’d talked about Kary being the fun police. Brandi couldn’t make it, and Kary thought they should wrap up a chicken foot to go.

Next time, Fancy on a treadmill, a white party, and Kary pushes Tiffany into the pool.

First of all, I feel compelled to say, Little Craig is the best thing on this show.

Madison called Danni to invite her to a get together. She said it was going to be Austen’s birthday party, but since they’d broken up, it was just a party to get tipsy and have fun on a private island. She asked if Danni would be okay with Kathryn being there, and Danni didn’t sound too thrilled. Madison threatened to put Kathryn smack dab in front of Danni, so they could talk it out.

Kathryn met Shep at a restaurant for lunch, but he was minus Little Craig because of the heat. He asked what happened with her and Danni, and she said she felt it was an explosion brought on with no warning. She wanted to fix it, and felt like her world crumbling. We circled back to the monkey emoji, and in his interview, Shep said he thought she was at fault, but not a racist, so he gave her the benefit of the doubt. She told him her boyfriend was Black. His name was Chleb (pronounced like Caleb) Ravenel – yes, those Ravenels – but he was a nice Ravenel. She told Shep that they’d been flirting since before quarantine, but she hadn’t wanted to tell anyone, since people might say it was convenient.

Madison called Austen, and said she didn’t know if him coming would be the best for him personally. He asked her to explain, and she said Craig told her that she was leading him on. She couldn’t have him at the party if that was the case. If he could be a friend, great, but if not, please don’t come. It was her party. He said, at one point, it was supposed to be his party, and she said she knew he wouldn’t handle it well. He told her that she’d sh*t on his day. In his interview, he said he’d thought their break-up was amicable. Austen called Craig, and claimed Madison had said he didn’t want Austen there, but Craig said that wasn’t the conversation they had. We flashed back to Craig telling Madison, the nicest thing she could do for Austen would be to walk away. Craig told Austen not to be a bitch puppy dog, and Madison called Austen again while Craig was talking. Austen said he was blown away that Madison had formed a coalition with Craig. Had she lost her mind? She said she didn’t want him to feel like she was leading him on. She did want him there as a friend, but nothing more. If he could not be a psycho ex-boyfriend, he could come. He told her that he’d skip it, and she said she thought that was best.

Madison2 from Gwynn’s met Leva, Danni, and Venita at the store, and they popped champagne while Danni tried on dresses. Danni told them about meeting with Kathryn. In Danni’s interview, a producer asked why Danni maintained a relationship with Kathryn, and Danni said it was the question of the day, but she’d always care about Kathryn. She’d always be the 21-year-old Danni remembered. She thought Kathryn had some growing up to do, and believed she’d played a role in enabling Kathryn. Leva said she was offended about being the only person Kathryn was talking to. Madison2 was a woman of color, and did she think her white friends didn’t care? Madison2 said Gwynn’s was her family’s livelihood, and Kathryn hadn’t made an apology. Leva mentioned that Kathryn was dating Chleb, and said it was a strategic move. In Leva’s interview, she said, banging a Black guy doesn’t make you woke. While that’s true, I thought it was kind of a sh*tty thing to say, since she doesn’t know what Kathryn’s motives are, and I don’t know about Kathryn, but it would be difficult for me to have an entire romantic relationship just to prove a point.

Danni went to Capers Island to set up for the party. There was a canopy, with a low table underneath, pillows to sit on, and a beachy tablescape. Madison said it was exactly what she’d pictured, but better, and someone had asked if they were having a wedding there. Everyone took a ferry over, except for Craig, Kathryn, and Taylor, who were running late. Leva said Shep looked like a bum, when they were supposed to dress nice. Meanwhile, Austen got dressed, while mumbling about a party on the beach in mid-July. He couldn’t believe his best friend stabbed him in the back, and told Madison not to invite him. It was his party, and he could come if he wanted to. In John’s interview, he said he didn’t know why Austen would want to be there. If he’d been dumped, he would sit it TF out. Craig picked up Kathryn, and told her that he’d been dealing with Madison and Austen. Kathryn said Madison couldn’t cancel the party and cancel Austen. On the ferry, Austen told Shep that Madison had said not to come, but he thought he was capable. Shep said Austen’s emotions were still in play, and Austen said just wanted to be happy. Shep said he’d have to be sad first. John said he thought Madison was a smoke show, and I thought Madison was going to freak out when she saw Austen.

Shep swore he’d gotten no email about the attire, and that Madison hadn’t told him. Madison was just like, well… and in her interview, said Austen had killed her vibe. The place-cards were engraved glasses for the guests to keep, but there was no glass for Austen, and he pouted. WTF did he expect? He stood near Madison, and said he wasn’t trying to get her back; he was just getting out of the wind. She said he couldn’t get her back if he tried, and he said, here’s to not trying. Shep told the others it was tense. Madison found a spot to squeeze Austen in.

Kathryn and Craig drank from bottles of wine on the ferry, and he said he thought Austen was mad at him. On the beach, Danni asked Madison what the deal was, and Madison said she’d uninvited Austen; he was too attached. She didn’t know why he came. The guys played cornhole, and Madison told the girls that she was done with Austen. She was going for the A-team, not the B-team. The food looked fabulous, lots of shellfish and some kind of corn salsa thing. Shep said Kathryn and Craig were on their way, and Taylor was at the marina. Madison wanted Austen to move to accommodate the people she’d actually invited, and John asked how Austen felt, since what had been his birthday, was now whatever TF it was. He asked if Austen didn’t feel like he was holding himself back; it was time to move on. Craig and Kathryn arrived, and in her interview, Kathryn said her girlfriends couldn’t look her in the eye, and had all turned their backs to her, acting like they didn’t know her. It broke her heart. Contrary to that thought, Leva introduced Venita. Kathryn wasn’t sure what was going on with Danni, and Madison2 said she thought no matter what, Danni would have Kathryn’s back, but Kathryn didn’t believe it. She said she was hurt and upset, and Danni told Leva that she was indifferent. Madison called Austen an effing bitch, and changed her seat. In Craig’s interview, he said the fact Austen was there was pathetic. He couldn’t handle being friends with Madison, which was why they had to cut ties. Taylor finally got there, also dressed down, and said Shep probably knew the attire, and wanted her to look like an idiot. She and Shep went in the water, and Leva thought there needed to be a kumbaya between Danni and Kathryn.

Leva asked Kathryn to sit by them, and Austen wanted to talk to Craig, so they stepped away. Madison noticed that Craig and Austen were twinsies in goldenrod pants and white shirts. She said she was literally pissed, although there was a question mark over my head as to why. In John’s interview, he said, Madison the Mom was sweet, caring, and nurturing, but Madison with Austen was mean, and made him uncomfortable. Craig told Austen that he’d promised to act normal, but Austen said Madison was poking at him. Craig said when Austen and Madison were together, nastiness came out. Austen said the reason he wanted to talk was to find out what Craig told Madison. He asked WTF was going on, and Craig said any delusion Austen had about being friends with Madison wasn’t there; his feelings were too strong. Whenever they were in each other’s lives, they were miserable, and it was a toxic mess that spilled over onto everyone. Austen wanted to be at the party, and they were having the same conversation. He couldn’t handle being with Madison as a friend, and blamed it on Craig. Madison didn’t want to hang out with the friend group anymore, and blamed them.

Kathryn asked what was going on, and Leva suggested Kathryn and Danni talk. Kathryn said she was open to hear what was going on with Danni. Craig told Austen, if he couldn’t figure out how prevent the toxicity from affecting others, people were going to pull away from him. Austen reminded Craig that he’d been in the same boat with Naomie, but Craig said if Austen continued this way, he was choosing to turn his back on everyone. Kathryn told Danni that she had no idea Danni had been upset, and Danni said she’d been texting Kathryn since February. Madison2 thought Kathryn was unauthentic, but stuck her nose in the conversation. Danni acted like a bit of an ass, and Kathryn walked away, saying she didn’t know what Danni wanted. Danni said she wasn’t ready to have this conversation, which is exactly why Leva should have given it a rest. Craig suggested he and Austen go get their feet wet and not talk.

Kathryn came back to the table, and said she didn’t know what was going on. Leva said Danni and Madison2 felt betrayed because Kathryn hadn’t apologized. Kathryn thought it wasn’t conversation for the dinner table, and everyone got quiet, since apparently, there was nothing else to talk about. Madison told John that she’d always care about Austen, but didn’t think he was someone for the long-term. Craig asked if Kathryn and Danni made up, but Danni told him that it was deeper than entrée conversation. Craig said Danni acted like nothing happened, then bugged out, but Danni had no idea what he was talking about. Danni tried to drag Kathryn away from the table, and told Craig to STFU. Craig said she needed to work on her reactions, and announced that girls and guys had different definitions of being rational. Leva agreed, but reworded it to, they were different in dealing with their emotions. Shep asked Taylor if she could imagine being stuck there, and Taylor said they were stuck there.

Danni again tried to explain to Kathryn that she was hurt about Kathryn reaching out to Leva instead of her, and telling Leva that she was alone and had no one she could count on. She wondered if Kathryn felt like she wasn’t a good friend, and Kathryn said it had been hard to get in touch with her. She was confused at how huge a thing it had become, and said when she’d talked to Leva, maybe it’s how she felt at the time. In Danni’s interview, she said she’d put more energy into helping Kathryn than she had anyone else in her life. To hear Kathryn didn’t have anyone made her feel like Kathryn took advantage of her. Kathryn swept her under the rug until she needed her. Danni said she thought she and Kathryn had different definitions of friendship. Kathryn asked if Danni thought she wasn’t a good enough friend, and asked it Danni was saying she didn’t want to be friends anymore.

Madison said the party was over; the tide was rolling in. Danni said she felt that Kathryn was doing the sorry-you-feel-that-way thing, when Madison told them that they had to go. I don’t normally comment on how people look, unless it’s their fashion choices, but I thought Danni looked way thin. Like, maybe unhealthy thin. Shep told Kathryn that they’d recap later. Leva tried to impress on Kathryn that she wasn’t against her, and Austen said, consider him moved on. He couldn’t wait to see what the future held. Until they got on the ferry.

On the ferry, Madison2 explained to Kathryn that Gwynn’s had been getting hate on the internet for what Kathryn had done. It was a family business, and they needed to make a statement. Kathryn said she hadn’t known what happened, and Madison2 asked if Kathryn even cared what she was going through. In Kathryn’s interview, she said she was very sorry they got online hate, but she didn’t think they should have posted anything about her; it was bullying. The other girls moved closer, and Kathryn told Madison2 that she wasn’t having this conversation with an audience.

Kathryn moved to where Austen was sitting, and he asked if there was drama. Leva said she wasn’t an audience; they’d moved because of the wind. She told Kathryn that she wasn’t trying to be an a-hole, but Kathryn walked through life feeling like everyone was against her, and that wasn’t the case. Austen said Leva had to understand that Kathryn had been attacked by every single woman there. Huh? In Leva’s interview, she said, just because she was a woman, had a voice, and knew how to use it, didn’t mean she was a bully. Leva told Kathryn that she’d created issues that affected her children and husband. John thought Leva was being aggressive, and Leva said she was only communicating how offensive what Kathryn had done was. Austen just kept repeating himself, and Leva told him to STFU. Stuck in the middle, Kathryn said nothing, and looked like she wanted to disappear. Leva said she’d been kind to Kathryn, and Austen said she’d lost her mind. Leva said she wasn’t addressing him, and Madison joined the fray, telling Austen to STFU. WOTD. Everyone started screaming at one another, and Austen told Madison to sit down. Craig told Shep that Austen was a terrible person, and whenever he was in their lives, there was stress. Leva told Austen that her conversation was with Kathryn, and told Kathryn not to be her own enemy. Kathryn thanked her.

Next time – a two-part finale – the group goes to one of those places where you smash things, Craig goes on a date in a rowboat, Leva wonders why the guys are coddling someone who’s blatantly racist, Madison tells Austen that he’s a p*ssy, and there’s a lot of arguing.

General Hospital

I almost made it on time, but here’s what you need to know. Chase ran into Michael in the gym locker room, and Michael accused him of playing God. Trina told Portia that Cyrus claimed her father was still alive, and she wondered if it was true. Laura was in Florence’s room, when the door handle started to move. She hid in the bathroom, and Martin came in. Jordan called Curtis, wondering when he’d be back, and said she couldn’t talk to him on the phone. He told her what he and Laura had done, and said he was concerned there might be trouble. Meanwhile, Sonny and Jason were on their way to Secaucus. And here we are.

A guy sees Julian, slumped on the bench at the bus station, and startles him. Julian grabs his arm, and asks what time it is. The guy says let go of him, and Julian apologizes, saying he’s trying catch the bus to Montreal at 11:03. The guy says, it’s ten after. He thinks Julian missed his bus.

Portia doesn’t know what makes her more furious; Cyrus speaking to Trina in the first place, or giving her false hope. They saw her dad’s injuries. They were there when he died. Trina says her dad asked her to get him some candy, and she was only gone a few minutes. She wasn’t in the room when he – quote – died. Portia says she got to say goodbye, but Trina says she knows there are drugs that can simulate death. Portia asks her to stop and listen to herself. Someone had to administer those drugs, and plan to transport him somewhere. She knows the staff; they’re good people. She doesn’t believe they’d join a conspiracy to inflict as much pain as possible, especially on Trina. Trina says, they might, if they thought they were doing the right thing, and Portia asks if Trina really thinks her dad would do this; cause her to suffer like this? Trina asks why Portia can’t believe he’s possibly alive, and Portia says, because there are so many reasons not to believe it. Think about it. Why lie? What good would it do him? Trina says just because she doesn’t know the reason, doesn’t mean there isn’t one. Portia says she does know Cyrus, and he’s not a man to be trusted. Since he set foot in this town, he’s been one thing – a liar – and he’s about to get what’s coming to him.

Back at the station, Mac says Taggert needs to tell him who helped him fake his death. Taggert says he did it by himself, and Mac says, that’s BS, and Taggert knows it. He wants answers. Taggert says he has one word – lawyer.

Jordan tells Curtis, if he needs assistance, she can make a call, but he says, give Laura time to work her magic. She says, what if Laura can’t handle it? and he says he gave Laura a burner phone. One text or call, and he’ll be there. Does Jordan need something? She says she always needs him, but it can wait. He gets a text from Laura saying she’s trapped in Florence’s bathroom.

Martin says, hello, mama. It’s been far too long since his last visit. He’s sorry, but once a week is all he can manage to travel to Vermont, especially in winter. That doesn’t make him much of a son. Lord knows, after what she’s been through, she deserves better. He brushes her hair back from her face, and says he brought her something to celebrate her birthday. He hopes she appreciates how hard it was dealing with Yankee bakers who looked cross-eyed at him when he asked for hummingbird cake. They kept trying to sell him something gluten free. He wishes he had an Old Fashioned to go with it, but tap water will have to do. Laura comes out of the bathroom, and says she hopes there’s enough for three.

In the car, Jason says Julian is at the bus station, unless he’s on the bus. His ticket would be in the system. Sonny wonders if he was desperate enough to buy one with a credit card. There are surveillance cameras at the station, and if they can track Julian, Cyrus can do the same thing. Jason says Brick gave them a good head start, and Sonny hopes so. Cyrus isn’t going to let this go. He knows Julian ties him to the bomb at The Floating Rib.

Julian insists the guy’s watch is fast. He only closed his eyes for a minute. The guy says, the Montreal bus is gone, but Julian can catch one in the morning at 10. Julian says he can’t wait. He needs to get out of town tonight. When does the next bus leave? The guy says the only one left is the one he’s on, but it’s usually sold out. We see a dude with a gun watching Julian from behind a column. Julian says he’ll buy the guy’s ticket. How much does he want? $200? $300? The guy says, the ticket costs $84, and it’s going to Roanoke. Julian doesn’t care. How much does he want? The guy says Julian doesn’t look good. Has he seen a doctor recently? Julian says he’s got to put distance between him and New York.

Chase asks if this is how it’s going to be. It’s not a civil conversation. Michael says it sounds like Chase wants to get off the hook, and be forgiven, but Chase says he just wants to talk it through. Michael says, when Sasha came up with this idiotic plan, Chase had plenty of opportunity to include them, but didn’t say anything. When Nelle was no longer a threat, he still said nothing. Chase says he couldn’t tell Michael at the beginning. The plan only worked if they didn’t know the truth. Michael and Willow got married because they put Wiley first, and that’s what the judge saw. Nelle’s had a phony marriage to Julian, and everybody knew they were faking, but Michael and Willow weren’t. They both love Wiley, and it came through. Michael says that didn’t give Chase a free pass, and Chase says it wasn’t a normal custody case; they weren’t fighting over which daycare to put Wiley in. Did he honestly think Wiley would still be safe if he hadn’t married Willow? Michael says he doesn’t know, but neither does Chase. Chase says, whether Michael wants to admit it or not, there would have been nothing worse than watching Nelle walk away with his son. Michael asks if Chase wants him to say thanks for managing his life, and Chase says, no. He just wants a shot at getting his friend back.

Martin asks Laura what on earth she’s doing in his mother’s bathroom, and she says they’ll get to that. What’s in a hummingbird cake? He says, banana and pineapple, with cream cheese frosting. Why is he answering her when she’s an uninvited guest? She says she heard him say he was going to get water from the bathroom, and thought it was less likely to give him a heart attack if she just came out. He thanks her for thinking of his health. As an attorney, he also appreciates an artful dodge. What exactly is she doing there? Did she just wander in by mistake? Is she a patient, and if so, are her constituents aware of what brought her there? Curtis walks in, and says Martin is going to need to forget he saw Laura. Only a few people know she’s there, and that’s how it’s going to stay.

Jason asks how Sonny wants to do this, and Sonny says, in a perfect world, they’d go up to Julian, escort him to the car, and take him back to Port Charles. Jason says they know there are security cameras, so maybe he should go in alone, in case Julian does something stupid. Sonny says, that’s why he pays Diane a fortune for retainer. If something goes wrong, she sorts it out. Jason asks, what if Julian runs again? and Sonny says, they’ll stop him.

On the phone, Jordan leaves a message for Carly, saying Carly did her a favor, and she’s returning it. Something happened that forced Taggert’s hand, and he’s in police custody. Carly needs to pass the information along to whoever helped him. Mac may have no choice but to follow-up, and they might want to seek legal representation just in case. Mac comes out, and tells Jordan, Taggert isn’t talking and he’s lawyering up. Portia comes in with Trina, and tells Jordan, Cyrus accosted her daughter after she told him multiple times to stay away. Mac asks if she was hurt, and Trian says, no, but Portia says they both know Cyrus had Trina’s father killed. Now Trina is convinced he’s still alive and they didn’t bury him, that they mourned and grieved for months for nothing. Jordan says she’ll speak to Cyrus, but Portia says she needs to do more than speak. One way or another, he’s been harassing her and her daughter for month. He needs to regret even thinking about her family. Jordan wholeheartedly agrees, but says, now is not the right time. Portia says, when? Taggert comes out, and says, after the reunion. Trina says, dad?

Trina asks if it’s really him, and Taggert says, hey, kiddo. Look at her. Does she ever stop growing? Trina flies into his arms, crying. Portia looks at Jordan.

Curtis says, this day gets stranger and stranger. He’s sorry he didn’t get back sooner, but there’s trouble back in Port Charles, and he had to dodge the night nurses. Laura says, it’s okay, and Martin says she hasn’t explained why she’s there. She tells him, it’s imperative that she speak to his mother, and he says, it couldn’t wait until regular visiting hours? As she can see, his mother is indisposed. She says, maybe he could answer some questions, and he says he could try, as long as she answers some of his. She says, sounds fair, and tells Curtis to go back to Port Charles. Jordan needs her husband, and she’s sure she’ll be just fine. Curtis asks how she can be sure, and Laura says, because of the way Martin talks to his mother.

Michael tells Chase, he wants his friend back too. Assuming Chase ever actually was a friend. If he’s being honest, he hasn’t had many close friendships, but he thought honesty was key. Chase says he’s sorry he hurt them, and it got rough for Sasha, but he’s not sorry that Michael got full custody. Everything worked out fine. Michael says, according to Chase. Sasha survived her OD, he got full custody of Wiley, and Chase got to play martyr, sacrificing his relationship with Willow. But a sacrifice doesn’t count if you’re planning on taking back the thing you gave up. Chase asks if the real reason Michael is angry is Willow.

Trina says she knew it. She told Josslyn and Cameron that she felt in her heart he was alive. Taggert says, and here he is. She says she missed him so much, and he says he missed her too. They hug again.

The guy asks if Julian is sick, but Julian says, no; he won’t catch anything. He has three kids, and if he doesn’t leave, he may never see them again. The guy says if Julian is in trouble, he can call 9-1-1, but Julian says the cops can’t help him, but he can. He can wait for next bus, right? Julian definitely can’t. How about it? $100 cash. The gunman comes out, and walks to a spot behind them, and the guy says, deal. Julian thanks him, and he says he hopes Julian gets the help he needs. The guy leaves, and Julian gets up. He limps away, and comes face to face with Jason. He turns around, and Sonny is there.

Julian says Sonny isn’t going to start shooting in a bus terminal, and Sonny says they know he planted the bomb. Don’t think he’s making a run for it. The gunman texts Cyrus that Jason and Sonny are there, and the reply is: ☠️ ☠️ ☠️ $$$. Sonny tells Julian not to do anything stupid, and the gunman shoots.

Mac tells Jordan that Taggert’s family seemed startled, but they were in the interrogation room sorting things out. He thinks maybe the two of them need to discuss some things too. She says she needed a breath of fresh air, and ran into Trina sitting on the bench dedicated to the fallen heroes, thinking about her dad. Mac says, and by coincidence, Taggert was there too, but Jordan says, it was no coincidence. He was keeping an eye on Trina. Mac says, he can’t say he blames Taggert. If he knew Trina was a target, but it was a bad idea. He wonders why Jordan doesn’t seem as phased as he is that a dead man has risen from the grave.

Trina says she can’t believe Taggert is there. She has to pinch herself to make sure she’s not dreaming. He says, it’s as real as it gets, and she says she can’t wait to tell Josslyn and Cameron that she was right, but how did Cyrus know he was alive? Why… He says, stop. He doesn’t want that man’s name coming out of her mouth. She asks how it happened. How is he here? They were told he died; they saw him. He says people tried to hurt him by hurting her. He was putting her safety in jeopardy, and her mom’s. Portia says, so he decided not to be around, and chose to fake his death? He says the only thing that matters is keeping her safe. Does Trina understand? She says she understands, but doesn’t understand why he couldn’t tell her.

Laura asks if Martin’s mother is always… benumbed. He says, more often than not. She’s been in a declining state for a long time. Laura asks if his presence isn’t disturbing her, and he says, no more so than Laura prowling around. The staff gives her something at night to help her sleep more peacefully. He was hoping to get there tonight before it was administered, but he was delayed. He can see it’s Laura’s first visit. She says she came looking for his mother, but didn’t know she’d declined. He says, don’t get him wrong. His mama is a tough old bird; tenacious, and also weary and lonely. Laura says, maybe he should visit more often, but he says his mother is pining for his father, who passed away years ago. She says, Gordon Grey, and he says, let’s see… The particulars of hummingbird cake and private family matters. He thinks he’s indulged her inquiries long enough. Why is she skulking around his mother? She says, it’s not his mother she has a relationship with, but his father. Or should she say their father? Martin asks if she’s inferring they’re related in some way, and she says she’s his half-sister.

Michael tells Chase, it’s about all of them. Chase and Sasha made decisions about their lives. Chase says, it was always for Wiley, and Michael says, that may be right. They all know how vindictive Nelle was, and desperate times call for desperate measures, but there’s also a cost. Sasha turned to drugs to numb the pain, and nearly died. He and Willow didn’t just pretend to be married; they shared those vows and their lives for months, and their feelings deepened. Their marriage became more real than they’d intended, and how Chase is saying call it off? Just kidding. Chase has been devoted the entire time. Call a reset and go back the way they were. Is that what Chase wants to say? Chase says he gets it; he screwed up. But he’s admitted it and apologized. What does Michael want him to do? Say he’ll never see Willow again? Michael says, talk is an empty gesture. He has no intention of taking away Chase’s choices like Chase did to them. Chase says, if there’s nothing he can do to repair the friendship, say the word. Michael tells him, stop. Take a breath. Chase does, and Michael puts his hand on Chase’s shoulder, then kicks him in the nuts. Chase doubles over, and Michael says, it would have been worse if he hadn’t taken a breath.

Martin says Laura is his half-sister? and she says it’s a readjustment for her too. She thinks she’ll be adjusting for a long time to come. She takes it from his reaction that Gordon never mentioned her existence. He says his parents were never ones to dwell on the past. She says she doesn’t think Gordon dwelled on her at all, but he doesn’t seem all that surprised. He says he’s staggered that the mayor is his half-sister, but in a general sense, it’s not entirely unexpected. His father was never overly concerned about obeying his wedding vows. He had a wandering eye, and it did horrible things to his mother’s self-esteem. She says, they never got a divorce? and he says, ‘til death do us part. His mother took it seriously. Laura guesses she’s a production of his dad’s wandering eye. She’d heard many years ago that Gordon died, and assumed his mom dead. He says she spread rumors of her own demise. She had a flair for the dramatic. Apparently, Laura is no stranger to that either. He caught her lurking in his mother’s room. What exactly is her plan? Why the sudden, random track down of her father and his wife? What could she possibly want with his mother?

Julian ducks behind some lockers, while Sonny and Jason have a shootout with Cyrus’s dude. Julian tries to jet, and Sonny tells Jason that he’s going after him. Jason continues to shoot.

Mac says, the way he sees it, word is going to spread in the justice department. Taggert is safer in a jail cell. Jordan says Mac will have to charge him, and Mac says, with what? Pretending to be dead to save lives?

Trina asks if that’s why Taggert sent her to get candy. So he had time to fake his own death and convince people to help him, and go into hiding? He says he knows she suffered, but it had to be a secret from everyone. She says, even her? and he says, if he let her in on it, she would have had to pretend her whole life. Pretend to be sad and in mourning around her mom and friends at school; everywhere. Cyrus had people watching her, so her grief had to be real for her own safety. She tells him, so what saying is he didn’t trust her enough to tell her the truth? He says, of course (🍷) he trusts her, but some things are too big to ask. Trina says she, her Aunt Gia, and her mom stood around the casket in Texas, and watched it go into the ground. She learned to live without a father, and felt guilty about going to the vending machine, and not being there when he supposedly died. She felt awful that she’d abandoned him in his last moments. Now he’s telling her it was all part of his plan. He says, it wasn’t supposed to be like that. He hated it. Trina starts to leave, and Taggert follows, but Portia stops him. She tells him, leave Trina alone or she’ll make him wish he’d stayed dead.

Chase says, at first, he thought Michael was going to kiss him godfather style. Michael says, only when he’s betrayed in business. Is Chase going to live? Chase says, yeah, but he probably won’t be singing the guy’s part at the Nurses Ball next year. Michael says, it was a bush league thing, and Chase says, what Michael did, or what he did? Michael says, what Chase did, and a little bit him. Chase says, but it doesn’t make them even, does it? and Michael says, no, it doesn’t. There are too many unanswered questions and mixed feelings, but it’s a start. He throws Chase a bag of ice, and says, it will help.

Taggert tells Portia she needs to look after their daughter, and keep her safe. She says he doesn’t need to tell her about her job. She’s been taking care of Trina all of Trina’s life, while he was playing hero. She’ll continue when he takes on his new role as prisoner. He asks Trina if she’s all right, and she says, not really. Portia suggests they go home and talk it through. Taggert tells Trina, wait. He loves her. Trina and Portia leave, and Jordan tells Taggert that she and Mac agree, the safest place for Taggert is in a cell in Port Charles. He says, fine, and goes with Mac. Curtis walks in, and says, Taggert? Mac says he’ll let Curtis’s wife fill him in, and Jordan and Curtis look at each other.

Jason and Cyrus’s dude continue shooting at each other. Jason moves closer and closer, ducking behind things, until he’s behind the guy. Dude turns around, and Jason shoots him. He falls, and Jason checks his pulse, then looks around.

Julian opens a gate, leading to a footbridge. He leans on the railing, and Sonny comes up behind him. Sonny says, no more running, Julian. It ends right now.

Martin asks why Laura sought out their mother now? She says she was curious about Florence’s connection to Cyrus, the Chairman of GH, and drug trafficker. Martin says, alleged, and she says, up until a month ago, Florence was in a private home that was heavily guarded. Now she’s there, where it’s heavily guarded. She guesses both were paid for by Cyrus, which kind of leads her to wonder whether his mother is Cyrus’s prisoner. Martin asks if it strikes her as a prison, and she says, trust her. Prisons come in all shapes and sizes. Martin says he can promise she isn’t being held against her will. Laura wishes she could say she was relieved, but then, what’s the connection? Why was Cyrus paying for her care?

Cyrus walks in with a bouquet of flowers, and says, because she’s his mother too.

Tomorrow, Laura says Cyrus knew all along, Curtis asks if Jordan knew about Taggert being alive, and Sonny tells Julian that it’s his big chance to live.

Southern Charm

Craig paid a visit to Austen, and Austen told Craig about going to the store to buy his own beer. He thought it was cool, and we saw a clip of him bragging to the cashier, who seemed less than impressed. In his interview, he said he’s been working on canning his beer since covid started. It was a long process, and he didn’t know why Madison refused to see the strides he’d made. He was disappointed she’d given up. Craig told Austen that Taylor wasn’t happy with Shep, and told him not to talk to her. We flashed back to her telling Craig that she wasn’t a happy camper.

Shep called Taylor, saying he heard she was covid free. He asked if she was upset with him, and she told him that she’d had to take a step back; she wasn’t in the right headspace. Why is this hippy-dippy word so popular suddenly? Whenever I hear it, I feel like I should put on a fringed vest and love beads. She said Shep had been insensitive. It was kind of scary, and she’d felt he palmed her off on Craig. Shep said in her last text to him, she called him trash, and told him to f*** off, but he thought maybe he was handling things wrong. In his interview, he said he’d been single a long-ass time, and was selfish. It was an adjustment. He told Taylor that he thought it would be better when they saw each other in person.

Austen told Craig he was happy that he was in quarantine because of the drama, and Madison had gone to sh*t. Madison went to Patricia’s ~~mansion~~ house, where they socially distanced on the porch while Michael served wonderful drinks and snacks. Madison wondered if her embellished headband was too much, but Patricia told her you can never be over-educated or overdressed according to Oscar Wilde. It was her mantra. Madison guessed she was the only person Patricia had seen outside of her own household, and Patricia said that was only because Michael couldn’t do a blowout. Leva called, and said she was in the process of opening the restaurants again, and Patricia asked her to come over. She and Madison were having cocktails and sitting ten feet away from one another. Leva said she was on her way. Madison told Patricia that she’d put her foot down, and ended it for good with Austen. Patricia wondered why it was different this time, and Madison said she’d expected Austen to be an adult and a provider, but she didn’t see him wanting to do that in any capacity. In her interview, she said she wasn’t going to look like this forever. She was in her prime, and thought Austen should waste someone else’s time. Patricia said it was like As the World Turns Charleston.

Austen told Craig the beer thing had taken a while, but Madison gave him no credit. Craig said that was because she didn’t like Austen anymore, but still had control over him. Austen was doing things for her, not himself. Austen said it was always confusing. When he’d start to think it over, she’d send him a text. Craig said he was Madison’s fallback, and if he didn’t do a hard stop, it would be impossible to move on, but Austen said he couldn’t ~~quit Madison~~.

Leva joined Patricia and Madison, and said between virus breakouts and protests, she’d opened and closed the restaurants so many times. Every time someone tested positive, the staff had to be tested again, quarantined, and everything sanitized. In her interview, she said when they’d opened he restaurants, the last thing she was thinking was global pandemic. The past few months had been a sh*t show. Michael brought out extra crispy (no doubt homemade) potato chips and caviar. Patricia said it was déclassé to have caviar on blinis; it was eaten on chips now. Leva talked about the monkey emoji, and said Kathryn had been reaching out to her; she wanted to get together. She believed Kathryn was probably thinking she’d be the most offended, which she found offensive. She was tired of Kathryn’s baby voice saying she didn’t know any better, and said Kathryn wasn’t a kitten stuck in a tree.

Kathryn joined Craig and Austen, and Craig asked if Kathryn had talked to any of the group. She told him that she’d had a FaceTime call with Leva, and thought it went well. She felt like it was difficult not to tell her side, but they knew she wasn’t that way. In Kathryn’s interview, she said in her thought process, monkeys had nothing to do with Black people, but apparently, it didn’t sit well, and that was the main thing. She told Craig and Austen that Leva had said she needed to reach out to her girlfriends or she’d end up alone, but she had reached out. Her last message to Danni was asking if Danni was ever going to respond. She’d gone to Danni’s house, and Danni had flipped on her. We flashed back to that visit, and Kathryn said they’d never had an issue. She had no idea there was a problem. Craig wondered if Kathryn had been distancing herself, and Kathryn said, when people didn’t need you anymore, they quickly flipped.

Leva said she didn’t support cancel culture, but Kathryn needed to read a book, and focus on herself – educationally, not in a narcissistic capacity. Madison said she wasn’t closing the door, but Patricia said they’d protected Kathryn for the last few years, and walked on eggshells because of her sobriety. Then came the lies about Cameron – we flashed back to Kathryn saying she heard Jason was having an affair – and the emoji business. That was it for her. In Patricia’s interview, she said she didn’t want to talk about Kathryn or with her. She wanted nothing to do with it. She’d had her fill. She said Kathryn should be put in Siberia, but she was still protected by the guys, and Leva said Kathryn had apologized and said she wanted to do better. They’d see how it goes. It could be a bomb, or Kathryn could be a rising phoenix, but it was on her.

Whitney thought Patricia’s house was getting to be Grey Gardens, with the dogs making poopy on the carpet. I’ll say it again, dog poop is the great equalizer. They will poop on your carpet no matter how much money you have. Patricia said Whitney was semi-housetrained. He told her that Craig and Austen had tested negative, and it was a positive thing, then laughed at his own joke. Patricia said, initially, she was going to have a fancy gourmet dinner for the guys, and had talked to a French chef. Now, with the pandemic, she didn’t want people in the house. Both she and Michael were 200 years old, and they were being careful. Instead of the dinner, she’d decided to keep it casual, and have a low country crab feast by the pool.

In John’s interview, he said his ex was coming for a visit, and he told the boys to act like they had rules. In their agreement, Heidi had the first six weeks of summer, and could visit for 5 days when it was his six weeks, and she stayed with them. He told the boys that their mom was going to be rolling up any minute, and they were acting like crackheads. When Heidi got there, the first thing she did was ask John if he let them scream like that, and in his interview, a producer asked John who was the more strict parent. He said, their mom, 1000%. They tell him when bedtime is. Since they have a limited time, he’s lenient to a fault. Heidi asks the boys if they have any rules, and they tell her, no. In John’s interview, he says they’ve been co-parenting for four years, and it’s been quite a journey. Heidi is one of his best friends, which was weird for him to say. He wished they had a normal upbringing with two parents. Heidi told him not to be too hard on himself. He was doing fine.

Taylor went to Shep’s house, and he apologized. He said he’d talked to his therapist, and she was on Taylor’s side. She said his points might be valid, but he couldn’t state them that way. In Shep’s interview, he said he’d been callous about them being apart, and had trivialized Taylor’s needs and wants. He has to understand, not everyone responds to the same stimuli, and her emotions are valid, He cared for her a lot, and had to change his tune and try to be sensitive, as well as reasonable. Taylor told him, welcome to adulthood. In his interview, he said he knew he’d be a dumbass if he screwed it up. He loves her. They cuddled, and she told him she was going to want three days’ worth.

Michael and Patricia covered the outside table with newspapers, and Patricia said it was down home and low country. Michael said he thought the boys would appreciate low country, and she hopes they were totally safe. Still, she wanted them as far away from her as possible.

Austen called Craig, and asked if they were getting hammered today. Austen said he hadn’t seen John since he’d been inappropriate regarding Madison, and we flashed back to John talking about how hot Madison is in front of Austen. Shep told John that Austen had heard the chatter about him hitting baseballs with Madison and her son. She was calling it a break-up, and John should bang her and drive the final nail in the coffin. John said he only talked a good game.

Shep and John showed up to Patricia’s wearing masks, and when they saw masked bartender Maddie, Shep said it was life in the time of covid. John and Whitney elbow bumped, and Whitney said he thought Shep would have a muffin top, but he was looking svelte. Craig picked Austen up in a golf cart, and told Austen that Patricia wasn’t for him being with Madison. Craig said he loved Patricia, but she was nasty. Austen said she was old, with not much to do, and she was bored AF. They walked in bearing Austen’s beer, and everyone seemed happy to see each other. In Austen’s interview, he said he and John were a work in progress, but he’d thought they were good. F*** him. Shep said he’d had Michael withdrawal. Patricia came out, and told them to keep away. She said it was a nice place to quarantine, and went to the bar. She asked for whatever beer wasn’t Austen’s and poured it into a glass so no one knew what she was drinking. She told they guys they could drink and jump in the pool, but she didn’t want anyone in the house, since it was sterile. They could pee in the bushes or pee in the pool. She didn’t care; go crazy. Craig said Patricia hadn’t had any entertainment in a while, and now they were the entertainment. She said they were the only people she knew who caught the virus. Austen brought up the playdate with Madison and son, and told John it was guy code. If he wanted to continue a friendship with Austen, Madison was off-limits romantically speaking. John admitted he’d been out of line with what he’d said, and was glad Austen had checked him, They bro hugged, but in John’s interview, he said he thought guy code was stupid. We’re not going to date again, but she’s mine. Shep asked where Austen and Madison stood, and Austen said they’d amicably parted ways. Patricia said she talked to Madison all the time, and she wanted to be friends. What was his issue? Craig said Madison was able to be just friends, but Austen was still in love with her, and not capable of that. John said it sounded like bitches night, and suggested they get in the pool.

John told Shep that he’d been talking to Madison, and Craig said it was time for her to let Austen go. Austen told Patricia that he and Madison had broken up, and Patricia admitted she never thought they were a match. He wasn’t ready to be a stepdad and settle down, and she didn’t see it changing. Austen said he understood her perception, but Madison had chosen to follow her heart. You couldn’t tell someone not do that. Patricia said she did it. She didn’t think love trumped all, and you had to take other things into consideration. He said he wished he was ten years older, and had the means to provide for Madison, and Patricia said she’d found timing was everything in life. In Austen’s interview, he said he knew he was good enough for Madison, but he felt badly. He wondered if Patricia had ever been in love, or had it always been about the money. She told him that she was practical, and when she saw something didn’t work, she said something.

Madison met Craig at a lake, and they sat by the water. She told Craig that Austen was her best friend, but Craig said whenever she texted Austen, it reignited the flame. She wasn’t in love anymore, but Austen still was. He asked if she was in love with Austen, and she said that was a hard one. Craig said it wasn’t, and if she couldn’t say it, she definitely wasn’t in love. She said she wanted it to be Austen, but it wasn’t him. Craig said, if she cared about Austen, the nicest thing she could do, was walk away. Cut him out of her life. It was the only way it was going to work. Unfortunately, she had to walk away.

Next time, Kathryn is discussed among the women, Madison has a formal dinner on the beach, Kathryn asks if Danni still wants to be friends, and Madison and Austen have a shouting match.
